Memorable Dreams
I was going through some old dream journals and thought I'd type up a couple for reference. The first dream occurred shortly after I heard that my family had been in a minor car accident. Everyone was fine. Well, except for the wildlife involved. August 2009 I'm rock climbing at the local crag (but in a different city) when I get the call. Mom hands the phone off to a grief counsellor or something. She tells me that my dad has passed away, but do I want to see my huge birthday cake? Hey, do I want to have the phone held up to the body's ear so I can talk to him? I'm watching the head get cut off of the body, presumably having to do with cremation. I close my eyes, nauseous. Scrambling down a steep trail now, made of granite and overgrown with tree roots. I'm thrown into what seems like a very vivid memory on top of the dream I'm in. I'm a black man in South Africa, and I'm brandishing a knife, trying to fend off two men who attacked my wife. Except with roots. My dream-ego, still looking on from the first dream, hopes that I'm not going to hurt anyone. My strike goes wide, and I injure my wife instead, watching with horror as her blood spills to the red ground. She's dead so, so quickly. Our local equivalent of a doctor appears, and she tries to slice my wife's body down from the roots that are binding her, thinking she might still be able to save her. She won't. Our son! Our son us still here. I take him and run. Mortality. Scare Factor: 8. I remember chalking up this one as "The Nightmare of 2009". I didn't remember the dream until I read about it though. It's not quite so scary when I remember "Dad's fine; I saw him yesterday." Within the dream, the dream-within-the-dream was a memory of a previous life. It was so vivid, I practically felt the same way when I woke up.
Go to the moon was kind of my madness mantra last night. Attempted to remember that I wanted to do this. I'm in the basement of a building my grandparents used to own. In the dream, it had been extensively remodeled since then. I try to apply the actual blueprints to the dreamscape, but it's too confusing. I hear newborn kittens. I see a few heads of bread-mice scattered around. The mice here are made of bread. I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide that this is all his fault somehow. Shift. I'm in a love story, switching between two of the three main characters' points of view. I leave down the stream with the guy who's not me? This is confusing. Shift. I'm in a forest, hearing a Voice that gives me instructions. I'm happily running through, surrounded by green, green grass and trees, when I come to a stream. I jump straight over it, but land awkwardly on the other side, not having gone as far as I thought I would. Water saps your power away, The Voice explains, That makes rivers difficult to cross. I'm frustrated, because dreams should be doing whatever I tell them to, but the dream-logic makes sense for now. I consider another, wider, river nearby. I'm near where the forest was, but now I'm surrounded by stone: banisters and stairways and what could make for some very fun parkour sequences. I glide up onto the banister, ready to jump, when I suddenly realize that because this is a dream, I really can go anywhere. Go to the moon. Oh, yeah, I was gonna try to do that tonight. I hop off the banister, landing easily on the stone floor. I hold a hand out as I had visualized, feeling through the dream-fabric. I feel and hear a buzzing, and watch in amazement as the dream within stone building abruptly disintegrates, leaving only the night sky. I look down, fully aware that I made it and I'm on the moon and - Too much surprise. I'm lying face down on the bed, just like when I last went to sleep. Everything is dark and I keep my eyes shut, trying for another shot at the dream. I feel plastic beneath my hands*, but I aim to kneel down and feel the moon rocks that must be at my feet. Shift. "How the hell are we going to stop that thing?" "I'll take care of it." "How?" "I'll take care of it." I'm using a fellow officer as bait, but I don't have any strong feelings on the matter. The monster is approaching from down the hallway, turning a corner toward me. It spots me, and I retreat into the room, leaving the door open behind me. I'm standing just around a corner, out of sight from the door. The monster steps into the room, and spots the injured officer lying on the bed. I remind myself that this is a dream and I will be able to do this. The monster rounds the corner, snarling, and I grab it by the scruff of the neck and somewhere along the back (it might have been wearing clothes) and I throw it - hard - toward the window. It goes flying as if it weighed a pound, crashing either through the mirrored door of the closet and the wall behind it. It didn't land as if it weighed a pound. I'm outside, on the red, ceramic tile rooftops, no longer worried about the monster. I consider taking another shot at getting to the moon. I hold up another hand, trying to feel the dream fabric. I little bit of deep blue bleeds through where my hand is. I put up the other hand, trying to force myself through. It doesn't work. New method. I'm standing at the edge of a rooftop, unable to see into the abyss that lies before me. I jump, only concerned that this might make me wake up. I land. Without looking, I can tell I'm still in the same dream-scape, so I jump again. This time I fall and fall and fall, visualizing the black tower that Nomad described. I land, easily, and I can tell that I am, in fact, on the top of a black tower. When I open my eyes, though, I consider that this might not have been the one I was looking for. This one is only three or four stories high, and it's surrounded by brick buildings on all sides. A watchtower. I sigh. I hop down onto the dirt and paving stones, and look around at the DCs in the area. There's a cute blonde with long, wavy hair, chatting with some friends at the edge of the courtyard. I consider that I might be half in the moon-dream somehow and these might be real people, but I dismiss the thought as unlikely and walk toward the girls. I step through her friends, smiling at the blonde girl and holding out a hand. She takes it, and I spin her around and kiss her. Oddly, I have the sudden ability to smell and taste (morning breath) and I quickly block it out. And suddenly I'm playing a game of the Sims, and there are a bunch of options on the screen. Now I'm talking to family members on the other side of the courtyard and looking for the girl so I can actually talk to her? Voices Trying to Limit Your Dream-Control. Scare Factor: 2. Though the bread-mice were somehow creepy. *So very much a false awakening.
February, 2010 It's been a long night. I'm standing in a creepy, unfinished basement and a group of college student survivalists have been spouting horror movie cliches at every opportunity. "You can't touch the jelly sandwich," the de-facto leader explains. "It keeps all the other food good. Do you understand?" "Perfectly," I say cheerily. I'm stealing from Spongebob Squarepants' logic. "Makes sense." "No," he says, with a long-suffering sigh, "It really, really doesn't." He wanders away, morosely, muttering about crazy people. I briefly consider being a character that this guy is dreaming. I go looking for food. I sit in the kitchen with my mom, even if she is upset about the potted plant sitting in the corner that looks like a tiger lily and is apparently called a "papyrus". At this point, I begin to tell her about the metaphors and symbolism in our current environment. "The jellybean sandwich in the storage room is, apparently, there to keep all the other food from going bad, and the 'papyrus' is there because... you have really bad taste in fonts in real life." "In real life?" "Well, obviously this is a dream." "You think so?" "If it's not, tell me where these objects," I gesture at the flower, "Are located in your real house. Everything keeps shifting here." The woman sitting across the table from me looks down, fighting to keep a grin off her face. She starts to laugh, and then to cackle madly. Shift. I'm standing near the door and she faces me from a few feet away. Her empty eye sockets are stuffed with bandages. "Let me guess," I say, "You're my Other Mother." She doesn't reply, but steps toward me. I wind back my left hand for a punch, but I'm moving so slowly. The woman is moving in real time, and she takes another step, relaxed and confident. The punch doesn't connect. As she reaches for my throat, I desperately dig my fingers into her eye-sockets. There are teeth. Everything is going black, facial features are twisting, and the only thing I can distinguish anymore is pain. Shift. I'm sitting on a deck, petting a stray cat that's wandered into the yard. Can I wake up now? Shift. "That rice is leftover from last night. And it's in front," Oma says helpfully, as I rummage through her fridge. I blink. "Really?" I say, holding the plastic container. "You want me to eat this? Specifically?" I poke at the overabundance of soy sauce with a spoon. "I'm still dreaming, aren't I?"
March 9, 2010 My name is Lucifer, and I'm busy. "But you have to stay here! You're the Lord of Hell!" says the ex-cherub, who seems to have been recast as my secretary. "I don't, actually. I've left this job once, and I'll leave again once I have this place reorganized." I'm standing up at a desk, looking at blueprints. I turn toward the ominous wooden door at the other end of the (hellish) office-space. The door leads to a dimension where damned souls are trapped. As they make their way to the door, they inch closer to the end of their torment. At which point, welcome to bureaucratic hell. He continues to pester me, "But God wants you to-" "Okay, look," I interrupt, "I don't care what God wants. In the actual comic book, Lucifer didn't care what God wanted. Every version of the devil, ever, actively resisted doing anything that God wanted him to do. So what makes you think that I care?" I realize that I've broken out of character at this point, but the demon seems to actively resist the idea that this is a dream and I'm not really Lucifer. I decide to be amused instead of summoning up a gale of fire with which to burn him alive. Because, as the devil, I could totally do that. Instead, I throw my hands up in the air, metaphorically, and walk through the now-open doorway to the realm of the damned. The door swings shut behind me, cutting off the shrill ranting of my unfortunate secretary. I take the form of a woman with short, blonde hair as I take the first steps into the realm usually thought of as Hell. This area is closest to the exit, and as such, is actually fairly pleasant in comparison to the rest of hell. This, of course, means that it's a boring approximation of a cave that slopes slowly downward. The cave curves away in the distance, and I know that it's an infinite spiral to the bottom. The soul nearest the door looks like a boy in his young teens, although he probably lived to be older than that. The boy is building a fence up the sloping ground, not noticing as it collapses into inexistance behind him. He is intensely focused on the task, trapped, as all the damned are, in a nightmare of his own creation. I approach, and as I do, I hear deep, threatening barking. The boy reacts in a panic, looking about wildly for the source of the noise, not seeing me. Part of the fence has been shaped into a basket-like form, with half-rotten plywood as the bottom. A rottweiler puppy comes into existence as I look at the space, and it barks at the boy. When the boy sees it, he starts to back away from the puppy, and away from the door. I'm standing directly beside the puppy, so I pick it up. The dog starts barking and the noise in the boy's nightmare lessens. I look at him, and he sees me for the first time. Finally, his eyes land on the door behind me... End. Bureaucratic Hell. Scare Factor: 3.
Spring 2008 I'm in my grandmother's old office. Shift. It's dark, and I'm surrounded by beautiful, frightening living statues made of shadow... twisted, slender, lethal. I want to remember them when I wake up, because they're mine. The office space gives way, and I'm in the basement of my old house. I'm waking up, still surrounded by the last traces of my shadow-creatures. I'm trying to remember them, listing their traits aloud. Onyx. Jet. Shadow. Cat-like, bat-like, tribal, sharp, angular. They wouldn't have been out of place on a tattoo, if they weren't so real, so dynamic. I hear a scream. From upstairs. My mother? Why am I in the basement? Everything is hazy and dream, and my reactions are sluggish. I stumble through the basement and away from my dream-room. I reach the base of the stairs, which, oddly, are not located where they should be. The only light is coming from upstairs. I look up. There is a man standing there. He's old, unremarkable. I wouldn't recognize his features if I saw him now. He's small, but not in any particular way. Not overly short, not overly skinny. There was a scream from upstairs, but now, it's all about me. Because the man is stepping down stairs toward me, and I'm just standing there. There's no screaming - it's so quiet - and I couldn't move if I wanted to. And I want to move. I'm rooted to the spot, affixed by an unbreakable bond to the dreamscape. I can't flex my muscles or flail, because it's not about my feet. I am stuck, immobile, immovable. And the old man is walking down the stairs, unremarkably. Not sinister or threatening, but I need to get away. Because something horrible is about to happen. And he reaches the base of the stairs and I haven't moved because I can't, although this is my last chance to rush him, to push past him onto the bare wooden steps. He's standing in front of me, and of all my will, the only thing I can do is push two words past my lips, "No, please" and it's barely more than a whisper, because nothing's moving, and I haven't thought about drawing breath. And the old man looks at me, his expression unremarkably pleasant. He places his hand on my forearm - End. First Appearances. Scare Factor: 9. I'm not sure what it was about the dream that freaked me out so much. But I couldn't be alone in my apartment once I woke up. Not in the dark. It was something like five in the morning, and the Tim Hortons beside the building was open. I threw on clothes and nearly flew down the stairs. I ordered a hot chocolate, and a bagel, and sat with my back to a wall where I could see every exit, I and waited for the sun to come up.
As of right now I am on vacation, very far from home. I had woken up at about 4:00 A.M. After realizing that I am totally awake I listen to music for a little while and go to the bathroom. I'm chilling out there for a little while - about an hour. So now it's a little after 5:00 A.M. and I lay back down because I am slightly tired... Now I close my eyes, and soon I get these visions. I saw my mom in a hall way that was non-existant in real life and she told me she is here on vacation with me now. My mom was about a 7 hour drive away, and I know that she wasn't coming. The extra hallway and the fact that it was 5:00 in the morning made me realize that those "visions" weren't real. In this dream state I also tried looking at my phone, but my eyes were stuck shut and extremely hard to open. My concious mind was still there though. I knew this was my chance. I relaxed and let it take me to some place. In almost no time I saw a forest take place in front of me. I look to my right and I'm moving in exess of 100mph+ down a road, just hovering above it. There was no wind resistance and it felt like room temperature. I then noticed that there was a forest on both sides of the road and the road seemed to go on to infinity. Looking back to my left, I drifted to the right side of the road, and I was now moving on a 45 degree angle in to the woods. Normally I would have paniced because going backwards, and blindly into a forest at that speed you would be guarenteed to hit a tree. I knew it was only a dream, so I remained calm. The hovering stopped and I landed firmly on both feet. I could now jump very high and fly, but I noticed the higher I got, the more my testicles hurt. Yeah, my testicles. I thought I was laying down in a bad position and forced myself to wake up. It was hard though, it took at good 10-15 seconds to leave the dream. And that was it.
Note: Still no luck with my WILD attempts. I am not sure why that is happening so rarely now when it used to be so common. I had one primary goal for this night, and that was to track down Asuka and bring her home. Q found a fake Asuka in MoSh's inner world, so the only conclusion, or most likely conclusion, is she was kidnapped. Other than that there is my usual list of goals… I was lying on the living room couch. My mother woke me up. She said I had slept through half the movie. She suggested I go to bed if I was that tired. I told her I didn't feel tired. She said if I wasn't tired, I wouldn't have slept through so much of the movie. I thought a minute and realized I couldn't even remember what movie we had been watching… ok… she must be right. I must be tired, even if I didn't feel it… or maybe the nap had been all I needed. I got up from the couch and went into my bedroom. Something didn't look right there… there was a desk with a desktop computer on the far side of the room. I thought there shouldn't have even been room for that desk… I did a reality check… and found I was dreaming! Now fully lucid, I focused on remembering my goals. Asuka! Yes, I had to help MoSh get Asuka back. I used my bedroom door as a portal for a change of pace, and I opened it and walked through into MoSh's inner world. I turned around just in time to see the doorway behind me fold up on itself until it became too tiny to see… and it was gone. I looked around for MoSh. I saw I was standing in the living room of his house. MoSh looked over at me. He said he had been wondering if I wasn't going to make it. I said I had, and now we had better get going. No time to lose in getting Asuka back. I was pretty sure I already knew where she was, but I figured I would let my tracking guide my portal anyhow… just on the off chance we were wrong about who had taken her. I focused on opening a portal and on finding Asuka. A portal opened, MoSh and I went through it… On the other side of the portal we were in a strange place. It looked rather nice. There was a swimming pool there, and it was a beautiful pool. There were several women with perfect bodies lying out on lounges sunbathing and a few more in the pool. I briefly felt ashamed of my large belly and second chin before I reminded myself that it is a dream, and in dreams I have neither of those. There was a man standing on the patio surveying the scene, practically drooling over the women in the pool. He looked like a faker biker, dressed in leather, but somehow it looked like he was trying so hard to look cool that he really just wound up with an epic fail. I knew who that was, it was L. I also saw there was one woman sitting on a chair on the patio, she didn't look happy to be there. That was Asuka. I went over to Asuka. I hadn't even reached her before L spotted me and seemed pleased. He said there is always room for one more bathing beauty in his place… I saw in my reflection that I suddenly had on a string bikini that left little to the imagination. I was about to curse at L, but I got distracted admiring how nice my dream body looks compared to my waking body. L told me to help myself to a drink at the bar or dive into the pool, the water was always the perfect temperature. Wait a minute… I wasn't there for a pool party… "Asuka," I said, "I have come to take you home." "She is very happy here," L said, "Now go ahead and enjoy yourself. Don't worry about the others." "I think Asuka can answer for herself," I said to L, I was a bit annoyed, "Asuka? Let's go home. MoSh is worried about you." Asuka looked up at me with a rather blank look on her face. She stared at me for a few minutes before she finally answered. She said she didn't want to go back. She said she wouldn't force herself on MoSh any longer. I asked what she was talking about. She said she knew everything now. She MoSh doesn't want her back. She said he had willingly turned her over to L, not once, but twice. He had willingly given up to L in a contest where she was the prize, and then when he had the choice between her and the alternate Asuka, he had chosen the other one. She said he had been hoping she wouldn't survive the battle to get her flame back. He had been counting on her dying so he could have the better version of her. She said she understood why. She said he had tried to, but he had never been able to forgive her for lying to him. Right now this was the only place she belonged. I noticed that the whole time Asuka was talking she basically showed no emotion. It was as if she was rehearsing a script. I had no doubt in mind that L had put those exact lines into her head. L said the fact MoSh had sent me to get Asuka and hadn't come to get her himself. Wait a minute… MoSh had been with me to come get Asuka… where was he? Had he woken up? This wasn't a good time to wake up… I looked around and headed back in the direction I had come from. I reached the place where I had entered through the portal. I looked around. I saw MoSh. He had wandered off in the other direction. Wtf? I went over to him and asked what he was doing. He looked over at me. He looked a bit puzzled. I asked if he was even lucid. He looked at me. He looked at his hands. He pointed at me with his pinky… and then announced I was real. "No shit, Sherlock," I said, "Now let's go get Asuka." MoSh was wanting to know if Asuka was ok. I said she was fine apart from the lies L had been filling her head with… which he hadn't been there do dispute just now… MoSh followed me over to the pool, seeming much more alert and lucid. Asuka was still sitting in the same chair. L was watching me bring MoSh back. He didn't seem overly concerned about that. I wondered if he had a plan up his sleeve. I figured it didn't matter. Whatever his plan was, it wouldn't work. MoSh saw Asuka and went over to her and said he was there to take her home. She started repeating the rehearsed lines she had given me. MoSh interrupted her before she was done. He said none of that was true. After MoSh's protest, Asuka just continued with her lines. I told MoSh I was sure she was under the influence of mind control. I would have to break the control. "Breaking the silence of the night, can't you hear me screaming?" I focused on the song Breaking the Silence by Queensrÿche, "I look for your face in the neon light, you never answer… I could make all the wrong seem right if you were by my side, I'd gather all the tears you cried and hide them deep underground!" The song played through. L's certainty that we wouldn't be able to do anything to get through to Asuka seemed to be wavering. The song had its effect on Asuka. Her eyes cleared, and she looked over at MoSh. She looked on the verge of tears. She looked at me and then at MoSh. She said everyone kept saying MoSh hated her now. "That…" Asuka stammered, "That's not true, is it?" "Come on, Asuka," MoSh said, "You know I love you!" Asuka got up, looked a bit dizzy, and walked towards MoSh in an unsteady manner. She looked kind of drunk. "Why don't you two just go home?" L said, "Asuka wants to be here with me. Although Raven, if you want to have a swim you are certainly welcome to stay…" "I'd sooner swim in a sewer than in a pool with you," I said, "And if Asuka wants to stay with you, why does she look like she's about to puke?" I used Master of Puppets on L. If he is so fond of mind control, let's do a little on him. "Master of puppets is pulling your strings, twisting your mind and smashing your dreams, blinded by me you can't see a thing, just call my name, I'll hear you scream! Master! Master!" I ordered L to release Asuka. He did. She came over to MoSh. L snapped out of the mind control, I hadn't meant for it to last very long. He got mad at MoSh and me for forcing him to do things against his will. He said no one forces him to do anything! He is his own man and… "And there is an alien pulling your strings," MoSh said. He created a hologram of the alien in this picture. "It's a Reptilian, or a Draconian… and I saw one of them draining your energy. L looked at the picture briefly, having been completely interrupted from his yelling at MoSh and me. He looked at the hologram, then at MoSh, at the hologram, at MoSh… "Are you on drugs?" he asked MoSh, then he looked at me, "He's on drugs, isn't he?" I didn't really have a chance to answer. MoSh was answering. "I saw it," MoSh said, "It was draining your energy. It is controlling your every move. Maybe that's why you're such an ass." "You're making excuses for me being an ass?" L asked, sounding thoroughly confused, "Now there's a new one. Now why don't you just leave these two lovely ladies here with me, and go on your pathetic way?" "I'm not staying with you," Asuka said, "Go back to your stupid DC bimbos," she looked at me, "They are all DCs, you know. Just illusions. He couldn't get the attentions of a real woman if he paid her…" "And if I have to look at your face for one more second," I told L, "I think I'll vomit. So we'll all be going. Have fun with your DCs… which is like using blow-up dolls, right? So have fun with your blow-up dolls." I opened a portal to get us all back to MoSh's inner world. The three of us went through. On the other side of the portal, we were all in the yard in front of MoSh's house. I closed the portal before L could consider following us. MoSh had his arms around Asuka, who seemed happy to be there. I was going to ask if Asuka was ok. I didn't have a chance to say anything.
Investigation: I went to China, possibly with my family, although, I only saw my father and one of my siblings(knew he was there). We ended up staying at some Chinese house which was also a store. We were there to investigate the disappearance of some items. I entered the bathhroom at this house which had a bath tub facing the door and a stool on the right side. What was on the left side, I have no idea. It was pretty big and oval shaped. There was also a restaurant on the left side of the bathroom. There was a large table there with some chairs. Exploring: I just finished talking to someone who was pretty mean to me. I think I climbed some stairs and was now standing on the roof. I was still thinking how mean she was and remembered how she flicked my head with her finger. Then I began to think why I was standing in the middle of a circular metal cage. I stepped out of it and tripped which caused me to lose my balance and move closer to the edge at which point I fell over. I could feel the air and see the ground coming up rapidly. I was pretty afraid of what will happen when I hit the ground. At this point, I felt an odd sensation take over and I was suddenly lucid. It must have been due to fear. I slowed down my fall so that I just touched the ground gently and walked away. My lucidity wasn't as strong as I would have liked. The dream skips and I'm with my family walking through a deserted park around evening time during the autumn season. I was still lucid but I following the flow of the dream. I saw a couple of gray or black skinny trees here and there. Between these trees, there was a small puddle which was filled with water. I sat near the puddle in the lotus position. As soon as I took the position, a mid-sized gray bird with a black patch running from it's head to halfway of it's back appeared and landed on my hands. I could feel his claws on my hands. Excited, I tried to get my sisters attention but a flock of birds, possibly 7 or so flew by and he ended up leaving my hand after they passed. We continued walking through the park and encountered a play structure. It's metallic in color and stood pretty tall. To reach the slide, one would have to climb the large steps, each around 75cm high and the steps are open, as in there is no metal facing your foot when you step on it. I thought it was interesting but continued walking and saw another play structure. Alas, at this point, my alarm started ringing and my vision went dark. I could feel myself waking up and eventually woke up. Thoughts: Interesting dreams for sure. Finally, got another lucid. Not the highest quality and I didn't get to accomplish any goals, but, I might have found my dreamsign. It seems that fear is my dreamsign, but, I need more dreams with it to make sure. The park was definitely interesting though. The atmosphere was just amazing, it reminded me of some of those pc games that I used to play, something like the first STALKER game atmosphere. I keep on forgetting to do some RCs, stabilize, increase lucidity, etc.... but that likely has to do with the level of lucidity which I had no control over. Definitely excited for more LDs now
Wounded: I can't recall much of how and what happened. I was near a large pillar, mostly because I saw a small portion of it close to the ground since my eyes were squinted. I was shot and was wounded. The shot penetrated my shirt and was embedded deep into my body near my heart. There was no pain and there was no hole left in my shirt to indicate that I was shot, the only proof is the color of the blood that was left where the bullet went. The amount was small, but, nevertheless it was slightly visible under my shirt. I folded up my shirt to see the wound. I knew I had to act fast. Pretty soon, my heart started beating but it seemed to have changed position. It was now near where my stomach and intestines are and was beating very fast. I could feel myself panic. I started to slightly blow up the region where the bullet was and soon enough, I could see it's end. I put my hands around it and pulled it out. I put my shirt back down. Later on, I was functioning normally and was asked if I went to the hospital. I said no. Thoughts: Seems that guy who was trying to kill me in my previous dream almost succeeded
Scene Change(Void to Patio/house): I find myself walking up a steep path which is made of large grey oval stones placed near each other. What was interesting was that I don’t recall there being any support under these stones, so, they were pretty much floating in midair. I was following my friends, 5 or 6 in total who like everyone else were fully clothed in black robes, so, all their faces were hidden. We kept walking along this path until we reached a very narrow area. We stopped and then they along with everyone there started facing to the east and sat down. I think it was supposed to be a rock concert that we were attending and the band was playing in that direction. I felt uncomfortable being in this spot since we were pretty high up and I wanted to continue walking. If one was to continue walking this path, they would encounter a large gap followed by a large number of these rocks that formed a platform. There appeared to be a really huge window split into smaller ones extending from below behind these rocks. I wanted to continue walking, however, my problem was that there were two guys standing on the left and right side of this narrow path rendering the idea almost impossible and too risky. I decided to sit down like everyone else. After a while, I started to slip off the edge since I was really close to it and almost fell 2-3 times. I remember the fear and terror of looking below to what I recall was a black void. I was held back and prevented from falling all those times by someone from behind but was afraid that he wasn’t able to continue helping me since the last time he helped me, I was leaning over quite a bit and wasn't sure I was going to make it. The dream skips and I think I am lucid at this point. I think I'm on the ground. I am standing on light green grass between a patio and a house. The house is on my right and patio on my left if I am facing east. The house is white with a door, but, I can’t remember any more details. The patio has what appears to be a small circular pool in its center. It’s surrounded by some white tables and chairs. There were some trees as well and the area formed a square. There were white fences around three edges, not sure about the fourth. I can’t recall much of the details for this part of the dream but I think I was lucid during it because I remember being very frustrated at my lack of control and wanting to wake up. Thoughts: Been waiting to have a lucid dream and finally had one. I might not have liked the control part and I only recalled small parts of this dream after waking up and doing some activities, so, I almost missed it. It's quite possible that these two are infact two dreams and not related in anyway. If they are related, it's possible I became lucid after falling from the path and was teleported to that new scene but not sure what happened to cause my lucidity. I did some quick meditation before bed and have been doing RCs daily so it's possible that I'm finally getting back on track

Camp: I was going on a trip with my family to what seems like a camp. We might have taken a bus to get there and passed a lot of houses. One of these houses was white, with 3 windows, one being in the middle on the top floor and the other two were at each side of the door. Upon getting to camp, I remember sleeping in a double punk bed in a very lightly lit room and looking at a window which was covered with a worn out white sheet thinking something along the lines of "this isn't what I had in mind". I think we decided to go home because the dream skips forward and we are standing around with a group of people, most wearing worn out cloth waiting at a bus stop. The route 97 bus which is painted with red and white all over stops at this point. I end up getting on it and it was somewhat full, so, I stood at the entrance. I overheard a lady tell another something about this bus which made me realize that this bus isn't what I should be taking and I quickly got off as the bus was about to move. The route 6 bus came right after this bus. I left the bus and tried to get onto the other bus which left without me with my family on board. I tried to find another bus to follow my family and the dream ended. What does it mean? This dream started with me in my bedroom at home and I ended up walking outside. I may have went into the washroom and came out soon after. The dream skips and I find myself bending outside the washroom and a paramedic passes by and slightly walks into me but continues walking into the washroom. At this point, I find my sister standing there saying she will tell on me that I walked onto the paramedic on purpose when it was accidential. The dream skips but everything is the same except there are now 2 cash tills stacked above each other and I think I have one of my hands on the top now. Thoughts: Both dreams are pretty interesting, however, the second one is more interesting than the first one. I think it might be a precognitive dream. Let me explain: Today at work, I ended up meeting a friend who was from a high school I went to a long time ago. She was a paramedic in training and ended up going into the washroom after I served her. This would explain the cash tills(work) where a paramedic went into the washroom after hitting me by accident(her going into washroom and hitting me(getting served) in dream)
Just Bouncing Around: I found myself in a canyon in what appears to be a desert at night. It is a bit dark but the whole area including the sand seem to be reflecting some of the moon rays giving it a nice dark blue glow. There is a very steep hill that is perpendicular to the ground and extends upwards. I am riding some object, possibly a ball and it is bouncing all over the place. It eventually bounces with me in it very high into the sky out of my field of view since at this point I am a passive observer and I believe that it's reached the atmosphere. My vision zooms in to the hill and I believe that it will land there. A couple of seconds pass and it does land there and bounces to the ground where it might have continued bouncing. My vision then starts to pan out very quickly and I see the whole area which is deserted. I ended up thinking that I'm going to see the earth and outer space soon at which point this thought frightens me and causes me to wake up. Thoughts: Very interesting dream. Got this when I was sleep deprived and practicing CAT. Interesting enough, I almost WILDed into a LD since when I woke I was in SP and was hearing a ton of loud noises and see odd colors. I even saw what looked like some dream hands forming before I got nervous and broke out of SP
Brain: All I can recall is dreaming something about the brain Canary: I was at my house sitting infront of our canary cage. I think I had the door open and I was looking at him. He was all puffed up and was sitting on the stick closest to me in his cage. I put my finger out slowly and made it towards him, soon I was slowly petting him on his side. I can’t recall much of a feeling other than the actual vertical movement. It’s also quite possible that after I was done using my finger, I moved even closer and had my face near him and was using my cheek to pet him Thoughts: I liked the second dream. Would love to actually pet my canary IRL but since we bought him when he was about 8 months old, we missed the opportunity to train him and he runs away from any hands

New Job: I found myself at my job again but it was a new place, one I’ve never been in before and much different than my current one. All I can recall from the place is that there was a wooden shelf that had a huge glazer placed on it. I saw one of my colleagues and asked why she was throwing out some food but can’t fully recall her answer. The new day I find myself working her position and not sure how but I had 4 skewers embedded in me. There were two skewers that went into one finger each that were opposite to each other on my hands. Another skewer went into the area near my elbow on my left hand and the last went near my bone on my right hand. All the skewers went right through my skin and out the other side. I started to pull them out, starting with the one near my bone, then the elbow and then finally the finger skewers and never once did I feel any pain. I also thought within the dream that I would start to bleed once I took the elbow one out but I could see blood in the hole that was left but nothing came out of either of them. The Bus: I was going to the bus stop near my house. When I got there I thought I missed the bus and I realized that I forgot my jacket which meant that I didn’t have my bus pass with me. Fast forward and I decide to walk to another bus stop but this time I have my jacket on but it’s ripped. My bus comes and I end up running back to the stop. After getting on the bus, I found my jacket in the back which now looks like a taxi. I knew that it was my jacket even though I was told it wasn't because of the visor in it. Brain Experimentation: Some brain experimentation was being done to find a way to get someone to remember their dreams better. A brain was immersed into water and the result was compared to those that weren’t. In the end, it was determined that the individuals who’s brains are immersed in water can remember their dreams much better. Thoughts: The brain experimentation dream was interesting, too bad it didn't continue/couldn't remember anymore details
