    1. Rollercoasters and REBMEVON

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #32: Rollercoasters and REBMEVON

I'm in a bar confronting an 8-foot tall blonde man about why his biker gang threw rocks at me me in front of my parents' house. It's all too weird and soon I'm lucid. The dream feels really stable so I let him finish what he's saying before heading out the door. When I leave the bar, I discover that it's part of a closed-roof shopping center. I try to fly up to the 3rd story but end up floating horizontally across the floor. This time I try leaping off the floor instead. I overdo it, though, and blast all the way through the ceiling.

It's nighttime as I break through, and I fly high into the air, probably 1500-2000 feet up. The city is almost completely dark below me. I shout a grandiose, rather dorky "Let there be light!" and a wave of illumination bleeds over the city from bottom to top. I'm up very high so I see a lot of buildings passing by under me but I don't know what any of them are. For some reason, I think that I need to go back to my old school, so I say, "Show me the university." A group of buildings below starts to glow and I point myself toward it.

I swoop down toward the university buildings but rather than land, I transition immediately into a false awakening inside one of the dormitories. I'm in a small, virtually empty bedroom that I don't recognize. Vividness is very high now.

I step into the hallway and there's a girl sitting at a desk studying, her back to a screened window. She doesn't notice me, and I think about phasing through the window and escaping back out into the night. I try the phase and instead of feeling like I'm passing through liquid glass, my hand feels like it's ripping through a screen door. Shreddings of the screen are in my hand and the girl turns to look at me, saying, "What the hell are you doing?" I do the nose pinch reality check, a bit worried that I'm no longer dreaming.

She's making me feel embarrassed and self-conscious so I step into the next room to get away from her. This room's a study hall that has a narrow desk with hotel stationery and a white pen on it. The hotel stationery has indentations on it like somebody has written on it before. I can't see what the person wrote, but the indentations look similar to my own handwriting! The effect is so realistic that I nose pinch and finger-through-palm RC one after the other. I remember the Task of the Month (write "November" spelled backwards), so I sit down at the desk, grab the pen, and start writing. With vividness so high, my confidence is really solid. I immediately write down "REBMEVON" all the way through and the letters come out correctly (unlike last time.)

Satisfied, I get up from the desk and follow an exit sign through a double door. I stumble into a shabby bedroom where a mother, father, and school-age daughter are sleeping on scattered mattresses. The father wakes up and looks at me, bleary-eyed and displeased. "How'd you get in here?" I want to explain about the exit sign but instead decide to just get out of there. Another exit sign points me toward an external door, and I gladly slip out.

It's daytime now and I step out into a huge carnival that's been set up in a mall parking lot. The rides are elaborate, though, and more like what you'd see in an amusement park: things like rollercoasters and swing carousels. Lines of people are waiting for rides and it's inconvenient to get around on foot. I try to fly over these lines but I go too low and have to step on some heads as I pass. Some of the DCs shout or curse at me as I go.

I get up into the air and start circling around the swing carousel, flying alongside the riders. Most of the DCs ignore me but one lady keeps pointing and repeatedly saying, "Holy crap!" After making a couple of cycles, I decide that I want to go for the other advanced Task of the Month, bringing a soul back from Purgatory. I've envisioned it as being placed in the oceans of the southern hemisphere, where Dante put it. I use the sun to get my bearings and then fly south, heading over a Macy's. A blonde kid with dreadlocks looks up at me as I fly overhead
and the dream ends soon afterward.
    2. Entry #1: An Introduction/Update

      by , 11-22-2012 at 09:57 AM
      Dear diary,

      mood: apatheti-

      Had to. Anyvay.

I believe I have had two sort of Lucid Dream experiences, if not please correct me on these. They could just be reality effected dreams or something of the sort. I may have had more before, but I cannot recall them. On that note, I may have had more than the ones I am about to mention. Anyways.

The first too realistic dream was when I was in the 5th grade. So about 10 or 11 years old, about a decade ago. I was very into Godzilla. Our class pet was an Iguana, named Flick. I wanted to take him home for the summer so bad, but alas. I did not win the drawing, nor would my parents allow it. I honestly don't know why I would want it, other than to observe it. The freewill of animals has always sort of scared me, like when a big toad hops towards me it creeps me out a little still. I would catch frogs as a kid, but the second they move in my hand, I would open my hand. I actually killed a friends frog on accident because of this later on in life.

The dream was quite odd. I was at a fairground, there were many circus type tents around, layed out like buildings, sort of gridded by streets. I was having a great time doing whatever it was I was doing there. Suddenly, a giant Iguana emerged from the horizon. I did as anyone would do, freak out. I took cover into one of the many tents, and waited for what felt like a very long time. Still, the monster found me and pulled me out by my leg. He then proceeded to shake me, breaking my leg, simultaneously waking me up. When I awoke my leg was between the bed and the wall, and I woke up probably by twisting my leg.

The second vivid dream I will share was very brief. It was in the 7th or 8th grade, the night after Halo 2 came out. I had a toy that was an illuminating ball wrapped in a stretchy rubber spikey shell. When you squeeze it, it lit up. I had removed the casing, so it was just a light up ball. For some reason it was underneath my pillow that night.

In the dream, I was myself, or Master Chief, or some sort of super soldier fighting off aliens. In the dream I pulled out a plasma grenade(a glowing blue grenade that sticks to opponents) and pushed the button to activate it before throwing it. I then woke up with the light up sphere toy flashing in my hand as I lobbed it into my wall out of fear of it being a live grenade. Great. So onto now.

Tonight will be the 5th night I have attempted to LD. The first night, I was way too tired and just rolled onto my side and went to sleep. The second night was a different story however.

I first initiated by trying to have controlled breathing, sleep breathing, whatever. Next, I began the "shut down" of my body, while keeping my body awake by performing multiplication problems 1322•2•2•2 so on and so forth. When I realized I could control my blinking I started to feel like I was going to fall asleep.

In order to prevent this, I kept doing what I was doing (multiplying odd numbers by two) in order to keep my mind "running hot" so to speak. After this, I began to feel a spinning sensation and was beginning the entry phase I believe. Then, out of nowhere a wild sno-

Lightning struck outside, illuminating my eyelids scaring the living crap out of me. This increased my heart rate, and caused me to beginning breathing heavily. Being semi-conscious, this creeped me out. I do not like my heart rate getting like that.

The third and fourth nights follow a similar story to the first, basically just falling asleep or losing the will to stay awake so on and so forth. Last night, the fourth night, I did have a vivid dream which I failed to record, which I will do so in a separate entry.

Maybe there I will begin to get creative with my entries fonts and stuffs.

I will try again tonight to LD. I will keep trying until I do so!!

Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

I'm flying through a large, rectangular, exhibit-hall-like space with an entryway connected to one end of it. Every time I make a complete loop through the exhibit hall, out into the entryway, and then back into the exhibit hall again, the scenery and displays in the hall have changed. While I'm flying through the entryway after a couple of iterations of this, I catch on to the fact that I'm dreaming.

I remember that I need to stabilize and ground myself in the dream, so I will myself to go down. I sink straight down, in an upright position, until I'm standing on the floor. I immediately walk over, reach out, and touch one of the walls, then squat down to touch the carpet. The thought of licking the floor to bring in that sense crosses my mind.
[I was reading a thread on DV before I went to bed that mentioned engaging all five of your senses in a dream.] I decide not to, but thinking of things you should do in a dream brings to mind the current Task of the Month: spell “November” backwards.

While still squatting down, I start tracing the shapes of the letters on the carpet with my finger. R...e...b...m...e...v...o...n. I get all the way through it, and feel very proud and pleased with myself. I feel just as alert and self-aware as I do in waking life, but I notice that it's slightly more difficult to keep track of the letters and what order they go in than it would be if I were awake. Then, I suddenly find that I have a ballpoint pen in my hand
[a plain black Bic pen with a grip, the exact same kind I'd just been using in real life to do my homework for a class]. I take the pen and print “Rebmevon” on the wallpaper on the nearest wall. It's still a little hard to focus on spelling. At first, I write an “e” in place of the last “o,” but then I cross it out and correct it. I write it a second time [I think] because I can, but then I think, Okay, now you're just doing it to be a smartass.

[There was more, but I only have time to write the part that has to do with the Task of the Month right now.]

    4. This has to be a Dream

      by , 11-15-2012 at 11:09 AM
I fell asleep a few minutes after feeling sleepy and cold in front of the computer. I made my first appearance inside a car parked on the street my home was in. My parents had just left the car to get something from our home next to us. I sat in the front seat waiting.

I wait a while inside the car until something happened. The car suddenly turned on and the car was about to start by itself. I panicked! I quickly grabbed on to the steering wheel but as soon as I did, the car started to move backwards . I tried to control the wheel, so I wouldn't hit any houses on the narrow street. The car continued going faster. I stepped on the brakes but the car kept on going! I was doomed. I was always afraid of driving cars in my dreams. I was never sure why. Probably has to deal with how I control things in real life? Anyways, a few seconds later, the car backed up so much that I hit a tree at the end of the street. I was relieved I didn't die. Now it was time to go back home.

When I finally got back to my home, I don't remember how but, I was now inside the living room of the home. It was dark. There was a few other people in the living room at the time. All of which I've never met before. I seemed to have some kind of long relationship with them in the dream though. The light was on in the middle of the room and all 4 people(including me) were gathered around looking at some of the family photos we had on the table. I was the only one standing up and watched as my supposed father handed me pictures to look at.

It was a calm night and nothing strange really happened. The only person I remember from this scene was the father. He was about 60-80 years old. So an old man. There was one strange thing that did happen that I never noticed. All of a sudden, the family inside the living room were all crying because they had just realized that the father is dead. I was confused. I took a moment and went with the flow and cried. I cried a lot for a man I didn't even know. However, someone did manage to wipe those tears away.

A few seconds after the crying, I started to realize that the dream appeared a little foggy. I performed a technique I learned before from a page here on Dream Views. It was the rubbing of hands. I rubbed both my hands together to make the dream clearer. After that, I noticed a little bit of awareness of being inside a dream. I used this extra time to summon someone whom I hold close to my heart. I immediately thought of my old friend Quynh. I faced the living room closet right next to the bedroom, and tried to summon by calling out her name and believing she was beyond the bathroom in the hallway. I walked behind the corner of the hallway and saw no one there. I attempted it one more time, but this time I extended my arm.

I walked over and faced the closet, turned around with my right hand behind me and I yelled out, "Quynh!" in confidence. A few seconds later, I felt a touch. A hand. When I turned around, I saw Quynh! I would've never known I'd see her at this time.

I got closer to her but as I did, she suddenly went on running towards the two rooms in the back. I held on to her and noticed a change in her appearance. She was synchronizing in to her self like in Assassin's Creed. I followed her over to my parents' bedroom and noticed her crying. She was crying for something. She was heading towards the room in the far back but I grabbed her shoulders with both of my hands and turned her. This was not Quynh. Yeah, she had Quynh's old clothing from high school but the face of the girl in this dream was the old girl I liked back in middle school. Why? I was disappointed that I never got to see her this time.

Although, it was not Quynh, I still had some affection for this beautiful looking woman. She was crying and all I wanted was to try and make her feel better. I felt as if I had to help her out, so I can stop seeing all of these tears coming out of her eyes! It was heart breaking. I slowly walked her over closer to the hallway but stopped just before that. I stared at her and watched her cry a bit more. "Why are you crying?" I asked. She had her eyes closed and spoke out, "I'm pregnant!" I then woke up, wondering what it all meant...
    5. LD: Kicking Darth Vader

      by , 11-14-2012 at 05:48 PM
      11-30-09

I did have a lucid dream last night...and i did do a summersault in the air. So I got the Task done...on the last day of course, so it's almost lik eit doesn't count. But I guess it's better than doing it tonight.

      Dream:

I was jumping on a trampoline. I was suddenly partially lucid. The dream faded. But like before I was able to force the scene around me so I was back on the trampoline. As I jumped I noticed tootsie rolls on the trampoline bouncing around. I thought. "Yes, this is a dream I can eat candy!" So I started eating the tootsie rolls. (This obviously wasn't my best LD or I would have realized that I didn't have to be satisfied with toosie rolls, and I could have created chocolate truffles or something that I enjoy more. But surprisingly the tootsie rolls tasted pretty good to me.)

So I ate and jumped and then I started doing flips. At that moment I remembered that the Task of the Month was to do flips oin the air. So I continued for a while, flipping and trying to stay in the air for longer than normal.. I have always liked doing dream flips so I felt that this was using my LD wisely.

But after while I suddenly wanted to do something really different. I don't really remember how it happened--if I created it or it just appeared. But suddenly I was in the Death Star. I was looking down at a very large meeting. I could see Darth Vader sitting in the middle of this huge group of people all sitting around him in this stadium like setting.

I decided that I wanted to have some fun. I was feeling very brave and in control. So I flew down to Darth Vader and kicked him in the chest and then quickly flew back up and out of the stadium.

It was so uneventful that I purposely waited for someone to start chasing me. Finally I was aware that one of the head guys was coming after me, and I felt a little thrill of excitement.

      And then I woke up.

    6. Inhabited Minds

      by , 11-14-2012 at 08:12 AM
I first appeared in a casino. I'm walking around the casino game rooms looking for my family. There were several people around the halls and rooms. I don't remember hearing any noises. I walked around the casino searching for any of my family members. I only found one. It was my older sister, looking for the rest of the family too. We both decided to split up and look for them together. She walked towards the direction behind me and I walked towards the direction behind her. I continued walking until I came to a big, noisy hall filled with people. Most of which were laying on the floor or sitting on it. I didn't know what was going on. I met some people and shook some of their hands, I even made a couple of friends. But after this, something totally strange happened. The scenario changed and I was now in the backyard of the home I lived in. There was some kind of a party going on, with some people I have never heard of before. Most of these people were teenagers around 15 years of age. There were also a group of little girls hanging around the front porch of the home.

I walked around the home to see if I could find anything of interest. I found a group of teenagers, so I decided to hang around with them. There was this kid I told something to. As we were walking to the front yard of the home, I had told him how boring my real life was. I also mentioned how much better a dream world was. I tried my best to not wake up. Still, I wasn't sure if I was lucid. We stopped right in front of the home porch and found the group of little girls. One went running up to me and hugged me. I was hoping she wouldn't bite me. I felt as if I saw this little girl on television before. I heard a noise behind me coming from the garage. It was my father closing the front garage door. There was something I needed in there or just a place I wanted to hang around in.

Me and the group of teenagers walked towards the front yard and I noticed the time of day was bright. I was still able to see things and people clearly. I was first hopping around the front yards to see if there was anything in other yards of other homes. I was using matrix wall abilities to run on the sideways of walls. As I was jumping and running, I did find a home which looked interesting. There was a dalmation dog in a backyard. It was just looking at me. I stared around the area it was in and felt it would be a bad idea to go there. Perhaps there was something else lurking within.

Me and the teenagers were in the front yard for a few minutes longer. At one point, I yelled out saying, "Who's dream is this?" I kept on yelling it until I got an answers. I had no clue it was my own dream. I stared at the street in front of me and saw two cop cars pass by observing our actions. The front gate was opened. I walked in front of the gate and stared at the narrow street. I found two girls walked down towards our location. I did not know who one of them was but the other one, I remember. I remember her from piano class my senior year of high school. Her name was Valerie. I walked slowly towards the street and rushed up to Valerie and confronted her. I grabbed each of her shoulders with both my hands and asked her, "Is this your dream?" I shook her. I kept on shaking her until I received an answer. She was trying to escape. I carried her by force over to the home I was in but I was struggling. A few dogs were after me. A pit bull was one of them. Once the pit bull got a little close to me, I grabbed its upper and lower mouth and stretched them apart from each other and broke the mouth. I continued carrying Valerie over to the house. The pit bull was still alive. I hurried over to the house as fast as I could and when I finally stepped in to the property, I closed the front gate. I left one of the teenagers outside the property though. As I was locking the gate, the pit bull was attacking the teenage boy. I watched the scared teenage boy as he struggled to get himself loose of the dog.

I carried a bucket over to the front door of the house. The bucket was supposed to be Valerie. I carried the bucket all the way in to the room I lived in. The house was dark, so I had to be cautious. I brought the bucket in to my room and closed the door behind me. I turned on the lamp next to my bed and struggled to turn on the fan lamp. I couldn't turn it on. I quickly walked over to the box(now it was a box), but noticed the area around me was still completely dark. I ignored it and as soon as I got in front of the box, I always had a thought that Micheal Myers was behind me. I ignored those thought and slowly opened the box. Before I got it opened, I woke up to a phone call ringing in the living room.
    7. ToTMs! Turkey-Hunting and Backward-Spelling

by , 11-12-2012 at 08:52 AM (Magic Box)

      Lucid
      Advanced ToTM
      Basic ToTM

I am in a mall with some friends. I'm sitting on a bench, looking at some food stalls. My mind is kinda blank, and suddenly I wonder how I got there. I become lucid and plug my nose to be sure. I get up, start sprinting, and I phase through everything. I figure out that sooner or later I'll end up outdoors. I stop mid-stride because I see a classmate of mine arguing with her boyfriend. Then ZAP!*

I am in a mall with some friends. I'm sitting on a bench, looking at some food stalls. My mind is kinda blank, and I have the feeling this has happened before. I realize I just had this dream a moment ago, and that I even became lucid. Once again, I become very aware of the dream. I try to think of the tasks I wanted to do, and I remember the tasks of the month. I can't find any writing materials, so I walk up to one of the food stalls. It has a small fridge with a clear door, and some drinks inside. It must be very chilly in there because the glass was very foggy with small ice crystals on the surface. I point my finger over the glass, thinking about the word NOVEMBER. I start writing it backwards, creating letters by clearing the crystal fog: R-E-M... Wait what. Why did I write REM? Lol. I try again, successfully this time. R-E-B-M-E-V-O-N. Surprisingly, the letters don't change or morph. I double-check my work two more times, until I am satisfied that I spelt it right.*

I walk away from the stall and think about my next task – hunting a turkey. But before I could do anything...ZAP!

I am in a mall with some friends. I am sitting on a bench, looking at some food stalls. I immediately become lucid a third time, thinking how weird it is that the dreams seem to be restarted from the same point over and over again. At this point my awareness is quite good, having been lucid just moments ago. I still have my turkey task in mind, so I close my eyes and imagine seeing my preferred weapon beside me when I open them. I reopen my eyes and sure enough, there it is. A 17th century crossbow gun. It looks even cooler in person! It looks brand new, wooden, with little golden details in swirly patterns. I grab it, and at first I fidget with it because I am unsure about how to hold it, plus it was heavier than I expected. I eventually figure it out, and for some reason I forget about the weight. I approach the same food stall I approached for the spelling task. I grab the fridge handle, close my eyes and pull it open. At once, a turkey came out of it, clucking as it trots away. Then another one comes out, and another, and another. Finally, after about 5 turkeys have gone away, I start to run after them with my crossbow. I have my eye on one of the turkeys, which has just turned a corner. I sprint after it, slipping slightly on the floor every few meters or so. I don't even notice all the people in the mall gazing at me.*

The turkey stops by one of the ATM's in the far corner, a few feet from a dude withdrawing money from the machine. I am about 75 meters from it. I aim my crossbow at the turkey, and I fire away. There is a distinct snapping sound as the arrow shoots into the air. I realize I'm a really bad shot, because I didn't hit the turkey. Oh sh*t I just hit the dude. He limps down to the floor without a sound. Without a second thought, I aim the crossbow at the turkey again, with a new arrow magically in place. I fire, and imagine the arrow hitting the turkey. And it does. The arrow pierces the turkey's throat, and it falls to the floor, dead and bloodied. I run up to the turkey (who cares about the dude? ) and I grab it by the leg. Then some bystander who watched the whole thing yelled "WHAT ABOUT THAT POOR MAN YOU SHOT!?" I turn to the bystander, take a step back, and throw the dead turkey at him. He runs away, and I start walking away too, thinking about the awesomeness of what I just did.

I walk to one of the food stalls, looking for something to drink. There is nothing particularly on my mind, so this must be why I start to lose lucidity and eventually drift into a short nonlucid about my family before I finally wake up.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #28: REBMEVON rejected

I'm watching as Breaking Bad's Walter White (dressed as Heisenberg) plans to set fire to a Jeep full of laughing teenagers. He pours gasoline all over the kids in the car but they don't react, somehow not understanding what's going on. I'm panicked and horrified and feel like I can't let him get away with this. The intense emotion makes me lucid and the scene vanishes.

Now I'm sitting in what looks like a log cabin, staring at a simple television that's no longer switched on. I see daylight through a nearby doorway so I run outside, passing through a short alleyway before I emerge in a grassland with mountains on the distant horizon. It's a beautiful scene and I'm so relieved to be free of the nightmare that I start flying.

I've been in the air for only a couple of seconds when the Task of the Month occurs to me -- I need to write "November" backwards. I've created a mnemonic device that instantly brings the correct word ("REBMEVON") to mind. (My chosen mnemonic device is my friend Von introducing himself to Reba McIntyre.)

I try to produce a pen and paper from behind my back but only manage a pen at first. I try writing on my hand but can only fit "REB". That won't do, so I do another "behind the back" object creation to get a notebook. I try to write the word but end up getting sudden strings of garbage characters like "REBhjklhlhlh". I scratch it out and try again, but only get a similar string of garbage characters as soon as I get past "REB".

I can see the word perfectly in my mind so the garbage character problem starts making me feel agitated and doubtful. It's not long before
      I wake up.

    9. Transcendental Turkey Shoot

      by , 11-10-2012 at 04:42 AM
This was simply the most amazing lucid dream I've ever had. The description is long, but it's as abbreviated as I could get it -- the dream itself felt like it lasted an hour and a half! Absolutely unreal.

Just the thought of having another LD like this might be enough motivation to last me forever. All I can be is grateful.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #26: Transcendental Turkey Shoot

I'm a spectator in an arena where dueling teams of wizards battle it out with fire and ice spells. I'm ranting with another spectator about how terribly they're playing. The spectator says that "it's like they have no awareness!" Hearing about "awareness" instantly makes me lucid (thanks, subconscious!) and I run out of the stands into an outer hallway that's filled with dream characters.

I want to perform the Task of the Month which requires shooting turkeys with 17th century weaponry. I imagine that I have a huge bundle of preloaded flintlock muskets strapped to my back and it isn't long before turkeys start darting around in the crowd in front of me. I reach over my right shoulder, grab a musket, and aim it at a nearby turkey. I carefully aim and fire, the musket thundering and kicking my shoulder. The shot's a clean miss, and the DC's in the scene start running and screaming.

I toss my old musket aside and grab a new one from my "bundle". I keep catching sight of turkeys up ahead and I run after them, firing and missing time after time. I chase them onto the arena floor itself, the magical combat still raging wildly around me. I skate across a field of ice that's melting beneath the heat of a raging volcano, the floor nearly collapsing beneath me. It's vivid and exciting but what really has my attention is getting one of these turkeys.

I take a side door that leads me into a golden elevator. The elevator begins rising the moment that I enter and through its ornate viewing portals I see the shore of an island. I sense that this is an island filled with turkeys and I immediately dive through the portal, plunging headfirst toward the shallow water along the shoreline. I manage to float just in time to avoid a jarring landing and immediately spot a turkey ahead in the distance.

I run for miles, grabbing musket after musket off of my back and tossing them aside each time that I miss or get a "close call" that yields nothing but a puff of feathers. I even manage to cleanly hit 2 or 3 of them, but each time that I draw close I see that they were really just large pigeons. At one point I reach a narrow valley that's painted with brilliant, cartoon-like colors. I laugh, feeling elated and invincible, like I can run here forever.

After some time I chase a turkey deep underground through an old barrow. Dream characters join me and leave at times, all strangers. Eventually I run through a weapons display area that's arranged around a giant upright sarcophagus, but all the weaponry appears to be from the Egyptian Bronze Age, not the 17th century.

In the next room I stumble upon a sad, sullen group of friends and coworkers arranged around a board room table. They're being lorded over by some obnoxious stranger named "Rod" who announces that he's taking over our company and that I should "sit down and shut up". This annoys me, and I slap him so hard that it leaves a handprint on his face. He orders me not to do that, and in response I slap him hard enough to send him sprawling out of his chair. The others around the table applaud, and I jog out of the room, spotting daylight up ahead.

I emerge onto a dirt road and lean against the guardrail for a moment, thinking about how this is the first time that I've ever attacked a DC. I reflect on how thin my justification was and wonder how this relates to dream yoga's description of playing out negative "karmic traces". Unable to really digest the concept of karma in the dream state, I walk further along the road.

At the end of the road stands a Roman arch with golden light spilling out of the arch onto the roadway. The arch is designed roughly like the Arch of Constantine:

When I approach the arch, an enormous flock of brilliantly glowing turkeys goes flying through the arch, passing right overhead! It must be hundreds of them. This kicks up a rush of wind that picks me up off of the road, lays me flat on my back, and carries me gently backward as the stream of turkeys goes flying by above me. It's beautiful and serene and I'm overcome with bliss and elation. I can't stop laughing at how incredible it all is.

The wind sets me down some distance from the arch and my friend A is standing nearby, smiling at my reaction. He asks how much longer I think this LD can last. I say that I don't know but that it feels like it's been an hour and a half. I tell him that I took some B6 and wonder whether that will change the dream's length.
Gently, I wake up, still blown away by what I just experienced.
    10. LD: DV Tasks

      Lucid Dream:

I was at a church activity. Everyone around me was eating chocolate cake. But I couldn't eat it because I am back to eating a raw vegan diet. I kept looking at it. It looked so good. The person next to me took a bite. I could almost taste it. I finally said, "What I miss most about chocolate cake is the salty taste." As I said that, I could almost feel the cake in my mouth and I noticed how the salty taste really brought out the chocolate flavor. (In retrospect, I really don't know why I was focusing on the salty flavor. I have never associated chocolate cake with salt.)

I noticed my mom was there, and she was making a sort of an apron from a blue patterned material. I also saw a lady putting up a game in a basket ball hoop. I couldn't tell what it was, but it looked interesting.

And then it all faded. I felt disappointed that this dream had come to an end before I had been able to enjoy the activity.

Then I concentrated and willed it all back.

      There.

It was all back. Now I could participate.

Wait. If this was a dream, it meant that I was....lucid! Who cared about that activity--I was LUCID!

I jumped up in the air and did a very slow motion flip. I watched as the room slowly spun around me. Then I landed.

I then remembered that I really wanted to do one of the tasks. I decided to start with the one I could do the fastest--Spell "November" backwards.

I knew I had to spell it and also write it. I didn't have any paper so I decided to just make the letters appear in the air.

So I said, "R....E....M...no, no....R....E...B." I saw the letters appear in the air before me. They were blue and a little wispy and glowed slightly. I continued, "M....E....wait--is that right? Yeah, that's right." I repeated again what I had spelled out: "R...E....B...M....E" And then I ended with a fast, "V..O..N!!"

There it was all floating in the air in front of me: R E B M E V O N

"Yes!!" I shouted. I heard it echo through the gym that I was in. I was pleased that I was able to do it without much trouble.

I then decided that I needed to try another Task. The one that I thought would be interesting was the "go to Purgatory and save a soul" task. I started flying. I was in a school. I flew til I saw a vent. I stopped and decided to open the vent and fly downward. I figured all I needed was a start in the downward direction and my mind would do the rest. So I took off the vent cover. But I saw a hot blue flame inside. It made me nervous. I didn't want to fly into it. I decided I would go outside and dig a hole instead.

I flew out the doors. The scene before me was beautiful. I could see the lake. The sun was going down and shone through slits in the clouds. The sky was red. I stopped and hovered for a moment and took in the beauty. But then I notced that the wind was blowing me away from the lake. I decided to land.

I landed on a steep grassy hill. I did the first thing that came to mind--I somersaulted all the way down. Finally I decided to start "digging". I focused on the ground with my mind. I could feel myself start to sink. It wasn't too fast--maybe a foot a second, but I felt glad that I would not have to dig with a shovel. Soon I was underground. I had created a very small space for my body, enough the the surrounding rock and dirt wasn't touching me, but not enough that I had any space to really move around. I kept going down. I started to feel claustraphobic. I wasn't seeing any people or any sign of Purgatory. So I came back up and decided to try somewhere else.

I did the same thing again with the same results, except this time as I went down I heard the some sandstone slabs above me cave in. It spooked me. So I came up again.

I saw a group of people. In the group I saw a guy I recognozed. This guy was my nenesis. He was in all my lucid dreams. (In retrospect...not true). I smiled. I flew to him and grabbed his shoulders to get his attention...then gave him a quick kiss on his forehead. I then laughed and flew off. I flew around the corner of a building...and there he was. This time he was laughing at me. Dang.

So I did the first thing that came to mind. I took off my shirt.

(And I am going to skip a little here.)

      I then ran off.

I saw this creepy Jamaincan guy. He was standing by the edge of the ocean and watching me. I was buttoning up by blouse, but had only gotten the bottom two buttons. My breasts were still partly exposed. The creepy guy grabbed his crotch and told me that watching me made him hard. I gave him a little smirk and walked towards him. When I was about 10 feet away. I spread my arms out (which also spread my blouse open exposing myself again. And then I slowly floated up into the sky.

      Then I woke up.

    11. Rebmevon! and Hell! Twice!

      by , 11-08-2012 at 06:12 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
I just had an interesting time! I managed (with massive effort) one advanced task and 2 failed attemptes at the other advanced one. Usual went to bed around midnight and a 6:45am-7something WBTB. No vibrations, and went into a nonlucid, although I did incubate a dream.

I did what I've been doing alot which is I'll be standing soemwhere, and it suddenly dawns on me that only moments earlier I was laying my head down to sleep. So this time I was standing in the middle of my livingroom floor when it hit me. Yeah! I started to go out the front door to do something, then I remembered the tasks (finally!). I wanted to try rebmevon, so I went into the kitchen and found a pencil and paper. I wish I could count how many times I tried to do this, may have been around 10 tries. But I'd try to write it, but the lead wouldn't stick to the paper, so I just made a "rebmevon" indentation. (Btw I hope it isn't cheating that I forced myself in waking life to remember rebmevon, all the letters in order.) Anyway, with tons of concentration and lots of sribbly failures, I finally managed to brute force rebmevon on paper.

Since I was still lucid, I decided to go for the advanced task of bringing back a soul from purgatory. I though to go through a wall first, that maybe the scen chaange would take me to purgatory. I got my head through the livingroom wall, but it spat me back out before I could see anything. So then I thought I'd try the floor, since purgatory is on the way to hell anyway, right? I went to the bedroom and picked a spot on the floor by the bed. I stuck my head through the floor, then BOOM a giant cylindar of floor and earth broke away, revealing a tunnel that went all the way to an orange firey depth. Major "woah!" moment. But, I geuss I went too far? I dunno, I still tried. Too creeped out to actually go in that tunnel, I just stuck my head in and said "Hello?" it echoed. Then I heard a deep demonic voice say "Kevvvvvviinnnnnnnnnnnnnn." I said "Who is Kevvvvinnnnnnn?" Then the devil himself, with the hugest horns I ever saw (like Tim Curry in Legend) appeared at the bottom of the hole. Before I could escape, he did a mega jump and was up in my FACE and then I woke up lol.

I went right back into the dream lucid, in my livingroom floor again. I saw a random DC who said he was going to go do something, and i said ok, I gotta go to the bedroom and find hell again, you ok with that? He said yes. So I went to the bedroom and went to the same spot. Did the same thing and got a big hole to hell again. This time it was bigger, and I could see levels on the way to hell. I thought I could jump to one of the levels and not actually fall into the hell fire. But I didn't want you know who to appear again. So this time I said into the hole "Ok, I'm sorry if I did this wrong that last time, I just wanted to know if I could bring back a soul from purgatory for a little while, then I'll return him like after 5 minutes?" I could hear sounds, like people moving and murmering, but I couldn't see anyone, and no one answered me. I feel like they couldn't even hear me. I repeated myself, and even made a suggestion: "Could I borrow Mozart for 5 minutes??!!" Still no answer. I ended up going nonlucid and remember even going into the whole I think, and I ended up in an old folk's home (purgatory?). Someone was about to fetch Mozart for me, but it was a babydoll. I remarked "He's awful young looking, don'tcha think?" Then I woke up.

Satan, like this but not red and definitely not smiling:

    12. Task of the Month November 2012 November 3rd.

by , 11-03-2012 at 08:36 PM (Mancon's Wild and Crazy Adventures in the Dream World)
Basic Task i - Hunt for wild turkey using 17th century weapons. COMPLETED! (Kind of. I hunted a tofu-turkey.)

Basic Task ii - Have your favorite celebrity chef cook Thanksgiving dinner for you ('dessert' optional) COMPLETED!

Advanced Task i - Journey to Purgatory and bring back a soul with you (All Soul's Day on November 2nd) Not Completed

Advanced Task ii - Spell the word November backwards and write it down (R-E-B-M-E-V-O-N) COMPLETED!

      Method: V-WILD

I was standing on a small beach off the coast of the Caribbean Sea with a Cutlass in my hand. Before I went to bed, I learned that Pirate's used cutlasses in the 17th and 18th century. The water was a vivid, turquoise-blue and I could see several dolphins in the distance. Behind me was a vast area of woodlands. My goal (as a vegetarian) was the find a wild tofu-turkey, hunt it down, and then give it to a Julia Childs to cook for me.

I started walking through the woods trying to find one. It was completely silent, I couldn't hear anything. I had no idea what a wild tofu-turkey would look like so I was kind of walking around pointlessly. I stepped on something gooey. It was a huge glob of tofu. I went down to pick it up when something landed on my back. It was making high pitched-turkey noises. I tried to grab it off my back but I couldn't feel it! It's claws were hanging on tight! It suddenly let go and fell to the ground, staring at me. It looked exactly like a real turkey, but instead of eyes, they were tofu blocks. It wasn't even moving, just staring at me. It looked possessed. I got my cutlass and tried to hit it. Right before my blade made contact with the tofu-turkey it disappeared into thin air! I walked around trying to find it for another minute when I saw something like this in a tree:

The owl was holding the tofu-turkey in it's beak! It flew down to me and I killed the tofu-turkey. It flew away.

I changed the dream scene to the kitchen in my house with the tofu-turkey in my hand. I put it on the counter. I got out my phone and called Julia Childs. She told me she would be there any minute. The doorbell rang and there she was! She asked my what she was cooking for me today. I told her a tofu-turkey and she frowned. She told me she was only going to do it for me because I was her favorite. She had on this huge trench coat and pulled like ten ingredients out in one swipe. She looked up at me and said:

“The only time to eat diet food is while you're waiting for the steak to cook but your a vegetarian so I guess that won't work out. You disgust me."

I just smiled and said Okay. All of a sudden a huge plate of tofu-turkey appeared and I took a bite. It tasted like real turkey. She looked at my and started to laugh like a maniac. She told me she tricked me and I was eating real turkey. Then she disappeared. Julia Childs was a bitch.

I could not remember what the first advanced task was but I did remember to spell November backwards and write it down. It took me several tries but I did it pretty easily. I woke myself up to go see what the first advanced task was but I could fall back asleep! Anyway three tasks down, one to go!

    14. Zombie (Lucid #92)

by , 10-25-2012 at 11:18 PM (Magic Box)
[I'm just gonna tell you about the lucid with the TOTM. The lucid before that consisted of le sexy time so. Yea.]

I start to notice myself waking up for real. The dream starts to fade and I start hearing ambient noises from the outside world. With my eyes closed, I move my real arm a bit, for comfort, without thinking too much about it. I focus on the the dream and slipping back into it. The ambient noises start to fade and I am once again inside the dream scene – fully lucid.

I walk outside my house, thinking about my goals. I remember the TOTM. Immediately, I hear the sound of sirens from a distance. I look, and I see that people are running around in a craze. I notice that there are some people walking really slowly, dragging their feet. ZOMBIES! Their faces look disfigured, and utterly horrifying. Saliva is dripping from their mouths, and their skin has a certain pallor to it – with small holes secreting pus.

I have second thoughts about my plan. Even though I know it's a dream, I don't think I can do it. I realize I can't change the dream scene, so I run toward my house, hoping to teleport through a door. As I am running, somebody grabs me by my left arm and pulls me, making me fall to the ground. It's one of the zombies. I push him away, which is easy because he doesn't seem to have much strength. He grabs my right leg and bites me above my ankle. I could feel the squishiness as his teeth make contact with my skin. I cry out in pain – it feels like he just tore off a chunk of my leg. I realize he actually did. There is a gaping hole, and to make things worse, the zombie spits into it! WTF. I kick him in the face, and run to the door, limping.

I get inside and I totally forget about teleporting through the door, so I just end up in my living room instead. By the time I look back, the door is gone (along with the other doors) and there are no windows anywhere too. The floor turns into soil. The furniture is still there though. I look at my ankle, but the bite mark is gone. I walk to one corner, where there is a full-length mirror. I look at myself. My eyes are starting to look green, my eyelids feel so droopy, and my jaws feel slack. My skin is turning pale and rough, and it's very itchy too. It's that type of itch where even if you scratch it, it feels like it's never the right spot, and it never goes away. It isn't painful, but it feels uncomfortable.

I head to the couch to sit down. I feel sleepy now. I tell myself I'm not gonna sleep because I need to stay lucid. Okay... Maybe I'll just lean back a bit to get comfortable...This cushion is so soft... Mmmmm...

I wake up in my room. For real.

      DreamLucidAwake

So a few days or so ago I started to create a tulpa of my dream guide, Krystal. Part of my reason for doing this was to see if she could help me with lucid dreaming even more in some way. I remember she talked a lot when I was half asleep during the night. I can't remember what she was saying, but I think they were mantras. I can't really confirm that, but it makes sense to me.

As far as I know, this dream started off with me being lucid. It's possible stuff happened beforehand, but I don't remember. I was walking with Krystal in the middle of nowhere. Not really sure how to describe it. There was a lot of dirt and a lot of rocks. That's about it. The time was also near sunset, so the sky was pretty at least.

As we walked we came across an area where there were many large stones. They seemed kind of organized and looked as if they used to be structures. My first impression was that we were among the ruins of some old village that had been abandoned or destroyed. As we walked among the ruins we came across what looked like an old wheat field. Oddly, there was still wheat growing. It also had a creepy scarecrow on a post in front of the wooden fence.

Unfortunately Krystal didn't seem to talk much, and for the things she did say, I have trouble remembering. Perhaps I'm just a horrible listener. However, I do remember her saying something related to the wheat field being a massive unmarked grave. She also mention something about construction. Krystal then jumped over the wooden fence and dashed into the field. I was confused at first, but I jumped over the fence too and followed her. When I caught up to her, she was pulling a leg out of the ground. She then dragged the leg back towards the scarecrow. I found an arm sticking out of the ground next to me, so I pulled it out and dragged it back to the scarecrow.

Krystal removed the straw from one of the scarecrow's legs and then shoved the human leg back in to replace it. When she did that, the leg somehow locked into place. I then did the same with the scarecrow's arm and the human arm I found. We then went back into the field to look for more body parts, but time must have skipped here or completely forgot it.

Next thing I know, the scarecrow's straw has all been replaced with human body parts except for the head. Krystal transformed her hand to give herself claws. She took a swiped at the scarecrow and cut off its head. After that, Krystal went back into the field and brought back a pumpkin. She placed the pumpkin where the scarecrow's head would be and asked me to carve it for her. I didn't feel like asking questions, so I transformed my hand to give myself claws and started carving. I decided to try to make it as scary as I could for the fun of it. I gave it glaring eyes, a smile that showed many sharp teeth, and a triangle nose.

As I was doing that, Krystal had pulled out what I would assume is a spell book. She started flipping through it and reading it as a green glow formed around the scarecrow. When she finished reading, she closed the book and the glow disappeared. She then she asked me to ignite a flame inside the pumpkin. So I pointed a finger at the pumpkin's mouth and shot a tiny fireball into it. The pumpkin's face lit up brightly and I felt compelled to just stare at it for a moment. The scarecrow's body twitched slightly, and I immediately jumped back and into a fighting stance. Right when I jumped back, the scarecrow tried to grab me, but it missed. We had apparently brought the scarecrow to life.

The scarecrow detached itself from the pole and walked over to a tree stump. There was a hatchet that had been left wedged into it. It pulled the hatchet out and turned back towards me. For some reason I wasn't thinking too clearly and wasn't sure how to react. The scarecrow then charged towards me at a super fast speed. I finally decided that it would be a good idea to transform into a dragon. Before I had the chance to transform though, he was already right in front of me. He knocked me back across the ground and into a wall. As I got back on my feet, I was kind of dazed and I wondered why Krystal wasn't helping me at all.

The scarecrow appeared in front of me, and before I could even react, he grabbed me with one hand and swung his hatchet with the other. The blade went into the right side of my neck and I felt a sharp pain. The pain at least wasn't as bad as you would expect it to be though. He then wriggled the hatchet back out and then started hacking away at my neck more furiously until it fell off. My head hit the ground and rolled a bit before the scarecrow stopped it. He picked up my head and then smiled. It seemed as though he desired a human head to go with his human body.

My vision was starting to fade when I saw Krystal appear behind him in wolf form. She attacked him and I blacked out. After a moment I heard Krystal's voice telling me to use my illumina spell. It was kind of difficult since I didn't really have a point of focus or a target for it, but I eventually formed a purple light around me. Suddenly I could see again, but it was weird because it looked as if I was wearing a jack-o-lantern over my head. That was kind of close to the truth. I tried turning my head to look around, but I couldn't. Krystal angled me to be able to look up at her. It became apparent to me that I was still just a head and Krystal was carrying me.

Krystal carried me to my body (which was oddly still standing up), and attached me to my neck. I could feel my body again and I had control. I looked around and saw the scarecrow guy lying on the ground headless. Not far from him I also found my head. After putting two and two together, I realized that I had the scarecrow's pumpkin head as my own head now. I felt kind of sick at this point and fell over. I passed out and woke up for real.
