      Basic Task ii

I didn't sleep very well last night. It felt like I kept going in and out of a dream for over an hour. I hardly remember the dream however. One of the times I woke up though, I managed to become aware of what was happening. I took advantage of it and performed a DEILD. I soon found myself standing on the side of a street around sunset. Krystal and Lucia were there with me. The dream wasn't very clear. The scenery and details were very lacking.

I had the task of the month and the task of the year on my mind. The only task that came to mind was the second basic task of the month. The number I was thinking of was 76. I told Krystal and Lucia, "I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 100, what is it?" Immediately after saying that, they both replied simultaneously, "76." "It's no fun when you can both read my mind." I said. They laughed and the dream faded away again.

      Advanced Task ii

It was nearing sunset in a city that reminds me of what I think I Mayan city would be like. I was running along the main road towards a temple. I then began running up the steps. Running eventually turned to crawling and I was exhausted when I reached the top. A man was there at the top of the temple. He grabbed my hand and helped me to my feet. He appeared to be the king of this city. He was wearing a crown anyways.

Standing on top of the temple behind the king was a large palace. On the right side of the temple I could see a group of people who were most likely the king's subordinates. On the left side of the temple I saw Chris, Claire, River, Krystal, and Lucia. The king welcomed me and guided me over to them.
I became lucid around this point because I tend to associate the five of them with dreaming.

I was going to go over to Chris to talk to him, but I noticed Lucia somehow got her foot stuck in a hole. I walked over to her and pulled her out. I then went back to Chris and asked him, "Where are we and what are we doing here?" "Didn't you read the invitation? It should be in your pocket." He said. "I have a million things in my pocket you know. It's easy to lose track of things." I said. I reached into my pocket and pulled out an invitation. Most of it was either gibberish or simply forgotten. Basically it said that we were invited to the temple as honored guests for a traditional festival. I looked down to the city below and the city was filled with people and decorations. They set that up pretty fast.

Some time passed as I talked with other people about things. I think it was about some adventure I was supposed to be going on soon. Unfortunately I've forgotten most of what we talked about. I remember me and Claire were pissing each other off as usual. She tried to throw me off the temple at one point. I just transformed into a dragon and flew right back up. Later Chris handed me a box of fireworks and wanted me to launch them for the festival. He said he was supposed to take care of it, but he had something important to do with Claire. They ran off somewhere before I could even ask questions.

I walked over to River and asked, "Where should we launch these fireworks?" "Oh, I know! We can launch them from the launch pad!" She said. "This place has a launch pad? Can you take me there?" I asked. "Yeah, it's this way." She said.

This next part is kind of hard to describe. We walked to the side of the palace and there was some kind of ladder there. It was more like climbing the side of a cliff though and it was enclosed. For this reason I couldn't just fly up there. Or maybe I could have but was to stupid to think of it. I strapped the box of fireworks to my back. River went up first and I followed her. It was incredibly awkward and difficult climbing up. When we reached the top, we were in some sort of chamber with a helicopter pad.

We had about 20 fireworks or so. Originally I was just going to scatter them randomly around the room, but River wanted to arrange them into the shape of a smiley face. So that's what we did. If you looked at it from above, it would look like this . "I'm guessing you want a smiley face pattern in the sky, but I don't think that's going to work." I said. "Why wouldn't it?" She asked. "Never mind, this is a dream so I may as well work." I said.

We stood back and I prepared fire in my hands. I shot tiny balls of fire at each rocket to ignite them. I then plugged my ears and watched the show. There wasn't really anything significant for me to go on about except that one of the explosions was in fact a smiley face.

After the fireworks show, the king told me that it was time for the hot air balloon ride. Oddly, he said it as though this was absolutely necessary. He said I could only bring two people with me. I immediately chose Krystal and Lucia. We then had to climb back up that weird ladder to the launch pad. I didn't think Lucia would be able to climb on her own, so I carried her on my back as we climbed. On the launch pad an air balloon was waiting for us. We stepped inside and someone released the rope that anchored it to the ground. The balloon immediately began to ascend into the air.

After we were really high up above the city, I looked down at it. It turns out we were higher than I originally thought. The city was built on top of a very tall mountain. I spent a great deal of time just observing the landscape below. It was really amazing. I think Krystal and Lucia enjoyed it even more than I did. They couldn't believe how amazing and beautiful everything was. I'd like to describe the scene more, but I don't think I would be capable of that. As the ride went on, I began to lose stability and things got blurry. I woke up soon after.

      Non lucid:
I'm doing an online survey about movies and TV shows. There are some questions about ARGs.

      Non lucid:
Okay, this is a sorta weird, creepy one about a movie (the blair witch project). You guys ever dream that you are IN a movie you've just seen? As in, being a character (for example: you are a random Jedi in Star Wars) in the movie. Well, I kinda had that about this movie last night, I'm sure everyone here has seen it before, as it's quite famous. Okay, well the dream kind of followed the main plot, especially the part where they are first realizing that they are lost. Except in my dream we (me+main characters) climbed up a tree to see where we were (I really kept thinking they should do that while watching the movie, actually).

      Lucid:
Walking around some weird office, I know I am dreaming. I remember I read about the task of the month, and decide to do it. First, I decide to sing a song, so I sing Jingle Bells, it's the only one I can think of. Then I decide to make it snow, as that was the other basic task, I look out of the window and imagine the sun disappearing and snow falling down. And of course it happens. I get excited, I want to do one of the advanced tasks but I lose lucidity too fast.
    3. December challenges

      by , 12-26-2012 at 02:35 AM
I seem to have lost my old DJ. Where did it go? And what is this? Oh well.

I'm laying in bed looking out the window at the night sky. Huh! This seems like a good dream to try those monthly tasks out in. I fly out the window and up into the sky. Out of habit maybe, I fly around for a while just looking down on the sleeping, dark world, the horizon far below me.

What was I supposed to do? I fly straight up at some speed while looking down toward the earth and sing Jingle Bells. I try to pay attention to the lyrics. Am I getting them right? I think so. There are lyrics there and they seem correct to my dreaming mind. I am self-aware that dreaming minds are deceptive. Who knows? I sing it well, very well on the non-chorus parts, making it artsy and professional.

What were the other things? Aurora borealis... I wonder briefly if I should do all the tasks now or space them out in different dreams. I don't feel like I'll forget this dream yet and decide to proceed. I look around in the sky and find a spot of twisting green light in what I suppose is the north. I direct my attention to a different, dark part of the sky and try to make my own, with no success. A couple more times I try before I realize the problem. Making light where there is none is one of the hardest things for me to do, personally. When I try, I always have meager success if any. I'm flying around and landing on buildings as I do this and I keep coming across my recently deceased grandmother. There's something ineffably glowing and mystical about her. I come down into a large window opening of a roof-less, tall building. For the first time, I really notice her as she stands beside me. Could she be the one making the aurora borealis? "Grandma, are you...?" She gives me a sly smile and a small nod yes. "Show me how do do it! Grandma, will you show me?" She gets a serious look on her face and leans in close so our faces are almost touching. She says in a low voice as if it's a secret, and very seriously, "These things are not for you to know. These are not for you. This year the world will become what it is going to be!" I think: Whoa, cryptic! Gotta remember that one! But I just fly off to play with her auora borealis.

In the sky I stretch my arms out wide, then narrow them as if to direct the glowing green to collapse in on itself. And it does. Aurora borealis gone. I stretch out my hands again and the sky explodes, not only with the green light from before but with orange and red and colorful planets. I collapse it again, and explode it again. I see what's going on here! Because there was already light there from my grandma's aurora borealis, that lets me create things of light in the same spot in my dreamscape. I play with it a while more, collapsing and filling the sky with light, rotating it.

Then I decide it's time to find those ghosts of Christmas. Whatever they have to tell me should be interesting. I go to the ground and start wandering around. I walk into a well-lit cafe that has big open spaces leading to the outside. What walls it does have are made of glass. There is a man sitting there. He looks older with strange, yellowish eyes. "Are you the ghost of Christmas past, present for future?" I ask him. He shakes his head, no. I turn away but then look back at him. I often feel lonely in my dreams maybe he'll come with me. "Maybe you.." I start to say. "Maybe I can come with you?" he says smiling, reading my thoughts. And so we leave together. We enter a maze of hallways. I see a woman with long flowing hair that seems to defy gravity. "Are you the ghost of Christmas past, present, or future?" I ask. No, but she wants to tag along as well. DCs from all around as we wander take notice of us and some follow wanting to see how this turns out. Five to seven of them follow as I continue. I emerge from the hallways onto a balcony. I climb up onto the railing and hold my arms out to either side. I start to sing as I float up into the air. 2 of the DCs have climbed up on either side of me and grab onto me as my feet leave the rail wanting to fly up too. But their weight pulls me down. I try simply to slow our fall so they don't get hurt, but also notice that there's a pool on the level below us. We land in the pool and I reflect on my spontaneous singing and flying. Seems like I'm about to enter a stage of dreaming where I'm less in control and this might be the time to wake up or risk losing my memory of it all. I recollect on the dream so far and find that I can remember it; that's good. But it seems long and it's probably a good time to wake up solidify things into conscious memory. Details of dreams dreamed too long begin to vanish.

      I open my eyes.

    4. A WILD (partial advanced TOTM)

      by , 12-18-2012 at 08:03 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
My usual routine, 6:45am WBTB, then back to sleep an hour or so later. It's taking me longer and longer to get back to sleep, which I think is actually helping me attain lucidity more often then if I just immediately crash.

I woke up and felt some quick vibrations. I was lying on my back, and I waited a few seconds to slowly open my eyes. The room was too dark as usual, which was the indication that I was lucid. I slowly disentangled myself from the blankets, and sat up in bed. Danny was asleep next to me in real life, and his DC was there now in the dream. I tried to get out slowly without waking the DC, because DC Danny can be pretty unpredictable sometimes. He bolted upright in the bed, said some gibberish, then crashed back down. Mkay. I got up and left the room after struggling with my eyelids for a second.

When I got to the livingroom, I looked out the sliding glass door that leads to the backyard, and it was snowing like crazy! I think my subC really likes snow now. Fine by me. That'll be a nice break from the heat when summer rolls around. I had to think for a second to remember that the TOTM I wanted to do was not snow, but the xmas ghosts. I didn't think of one specifically (I don't believe I chose past, present or future that I can recall), then the front door opened. What I can only guess was the ghost of Christmas future walked through the opened door, dressed like the guy from the movie Scream. Definitely not happening. I said "Oh HELL no!" and a bottle of water instantly appeared in my hand. I aimed it at the ghost and sprayed him with water. He tried to block the water wildly with his hands, then slipped and fell backwards out the door, and it slammed shut.

I ran into the kitchen, which opened up into my parents' big beautiful kitchen. There was an ethereal looking blonde woman standing behind the island counter. I asked her if she was the ghost of Christmas past. She said "Yes." So I said "Hey, I just hosed down the ghost of Christmas future, do you think he'll be mad?" She said "No, it's fine." So I said, "Ok, show me my past!" She walked to the refrigerator, opened it, and pulled out a bottle of Sierra Nevada Torpedo Ale. It was already open. I said, "Alright! I love this ale, I used to drink it all the time!" So the ghost said, "I know, it's from your past." really. I suppose that makes sense, I have put back quite a few ales in my day.

Then suddenly every square inch of the island counter and the other kitchen counters were covered with food. Not like someone had just cooked a banquet, but more like someone had just gone grocery shopping and hadn't put the groceries up yet. Boxed food, bagged food, canned food, bags of produce, etc. I said "What's all this?" The ghost replied, "This is the 'Food of Generosity,' which you have never denied your fellow man." D'awwwwwwwwwww

I think the dream ended or went nonlucid after that, I don't remember anymore. I didn't get all 3 ghosts to take me anywhere, but at least I know what my subC thinks of me: I like to booze up and spread my wealth. Kinda like Dionysus I guess haha. I'm the goddess of food, booze and parties.

i had awareness in the bed, went to the street, had a look on the sky - there were some clouds. I made one of them to fly closer and made it snowing. It was really wonderfull, because snow brought some happiness and i began to laugh and jump)) But then i tried to make a snowball, the snow was dirty and the snowball wasn't white. It was yellow and grey;((((Then i tried to find the norh to sea aurora borealis, but half an hour spent going through walls and sellings, gave up it and went to real.

    8. A WILD, a DILD, 1 Basic TOTM, & 1 Failed Advanced TOTM

      by , 12-11-2012 at 08:37 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
I need to go back to those cutesie DJ titles. Anyway, same WBTB at 6:45am. I think it was closer to 8:30am when I finally got back to sleep though...

I remember waking up and lying on my back. I opened my eyes and there was something weird on the ceiling. By the time I focused on it, I woke up for real. So I went back to sleep, and same thing happened: I opened my eyes and the ceiling had an odd fixture on it. Not gonna fool me this time! So I slowly got out of bed, remarking that this was the quickest WILD transition I ever had.. no vibrations or nuthin! As I was leaving the bedroom, blanket were stuck on me. Even as I started down the hall, the corner of the blanket was still stuck to my foot. I gave one last kick and freed myself. I knew that irl, Danny had just come home from a doctor's appointment, so I wondered if I would see his DC in the livingroom, but I didn't. I was thinking of the snow TOTM, so I went for the front door. Irl I wondered that if I attempted this task, would my subC remember that it's cold outside. It didn't. It was like a muggy spring day, but cloudy. I always suck at weather changing, but I just put my hands up in the air in front of me. I began wiggling them, and sure enough, little sparkly white snow began to fall. And they were ice cold! I couldn't believe it worked! They would hit my skin, then melt. I noticed they weren't quite making it to the ground, so I amplified my hand gestures, bringing my hands up and down at the same time. The snow got heavier, and began collecting on the ground in spots. I started danging and hoping around, still waving my hands. I could hear it crunch beneath my feet. I was laughing and (so gay I know), little tears formed in my eyes because I was so happy it worked. The flurries of snow seems to follow exactly what I did. If I stopped, they stopped, if I danced more, they came back. I felt like a wizard, it was so magical. I wanted to make REALLY thick snow now, so I exaggerated my arms even more. The sky got so dark, an aubergine color almost. The air got colder, and the snow blew in all different directions.

I stopped dancing and noticed I was standing in front of someone's pool. I wondered if I could freeze the water and walk on it haha. So I pointed my finger at it, and it partially froze on the edges, then melted. I tried harder, same thing. I got down on my knees and blew on it, a la Superman, still didn't freeze solid enough. It was creepy dark water, reflecting the creepy dark sky, so no way in hell I'm walking on scary ass dream water. I looked up at the sky and thought about going up and attempting the aurora task. But it was just too damn dark and scary. Everything felt so real, and I didn't really want to see what my subC had in store for me up in there!

I tried to remember the other advanced task: Ghosts! So I ran back inside the house, willing the ghost of xmas past to appear. I saw an old man sitting in a recliner in the middle of the livingroom. He looked just like Buddy Hacket (who, ironically, played Scrooge in the movie Scrooged). I walked up to him, and asked him if he was the ghost of xmas past? He said yes. I shook his hand
      , then woke up.

I tried to go back to sleep, thinking about that whole dream and willing myself to remember every detail. I gradually ended up in a dream nonlucid, where now instead of thinking about the lucid I had just had, I was telling my manager Nicole in my backyard about making it snow. I suddenly remembered that i was JUST thinking about my dream in bed. Lucid! I love it when that happens. SO I said to her, wanna see me make it snow? So I did it again haha! Then I remembered the ghost again, so I ran in the house again, there he was again, and I woke up again.
    9. Find the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future and experience what they have to show you.

      December 2012 TOTM
      Advanced Task ii - COMPLETED!

      Method: V-WILD

I was standing in the middle of an icy, frozen tundra. Nobody was around me. I could fill the chill of the air all over my body. The sky was a vivid gray. It was glowing and seemed to light everything around me. This scene was so vivid, I almost forgot I was dreaming. I stood there staring at everything in awe for a good minute before I remembered what I wanted to do. The Task of the Month. Find the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future and experience what they have to show you.

"Show me the ghost of Christmas's Past." I said.

Fog shot across the tundra, rolling rapidly toward my feet. A woman appeared next to me. She had a long, white dress that flowed into the breeze. Her eyes were a stunning violet.

      Prom and this girl...-1010873_1286602709176.75res_356_400.jpg

"Are you the Ghost of Christmas Past?"
"No. I am simply here to summon him."

She pulls this HUGE black cauldron out of her small pocket and climbs inside. I hear a sizzling sound coming from it and I looked inside. She pulls me in and I am suddenly standing inside of my old house in California. There is a big Christmas tree in the middle of the room. My parents are standing off to one side, my brother + sister on another, and baby me is in the middle. I look happier than the happiest person on Earth. I don't look entirely the same like I did back then, my face is a little deformed. The lady seems to be gone and next to me is this green ball of energy. I assumed that this was the Ghost of Christmas Past.

The current gift baby-me is opening is glowing. The top explodes and out of nowhere comes my old friends from California.

      "HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY!"

The tree is gone but the presents remain. Baby-me is way more distorted now. If I remember correctly, I had three legs. My parents look up and glare at the current me. They mumbled words that I could not understand. Baby-me was acting possessed and the whole dream was turning into a crazy nightmare. I ripped a hole in the air and teleported myself back to the tundra.

The lady was staring at me. She did not say a word. Two dots appeared on her forehead. She told me to touch them. Her skin was ice cold. I was standing in my best friend's house. She was crying and her mom was yelling at her telling her how ugly she was. Her mom was obviously drunk and was forcing her own insecurities on my best friend. This time a blue ball of energy was next to me. It told me that I had the power to change what was going on. I told my best friend I would take her to her dream cruise in the Bahama's. I touched her arm and we teleported on this cruise ship. In front of us was a big pool and waterslide. Everyone looked like they were having a great time. My best friend looked much happier now.

The blue ball of energy shaped itself into a chair. It mentally told me to sit on it. I did and I was blasted into the water. In front of me was a door. When I entered it I found myself in a dark room stacked with boxes. Each box was marked 'choice'. I opened one and There was a stack of candy canes in it. In another, watermelons. They were all different types of food but didn't seem to have any real significance.

I found ice skates laying off to the side and swam back to the cruise ship. I was at the very top of the ship and made the whole ocean freeze. I summoned a box of ice skates and told everyone there would be an ice skating contest. I probably jumped 100 feet off the ship onto the ice and started ice skating. XD. I noticed one person was literally using two other people as ice skates. The Ghost of the Present was ice skating. After a few minutes of this I teleported myself back to the tundra.

A helicopter was waiting for me. Inside was a red ball of energy with a glowing yellow center. We took off and the pilot handed me a backback with a string coming out the side. He told me it was a parachute. We were skydiving! I looked over the edge. We were right above New York City. The helicopter was about as tall as the Empire State Building. I jumped out and felt like a leaf blowing through the wind. It wasn't a fast fall but a slow and gentle one. I landed on the roof of a hospital.

Someone who looked pretty similar to me was standing in front of me. He told me to follow him. He led me to an Operating Room and I watched him do an open heart surgery on a baby boy. The heart looked extremely realistic. This was my dream job. After what seemed like 5 or 10 minutes the red ball of energy nudged me and I was taken back to the tundra.

The lady looked at me and touched my face. I was on the moon, I think. My grave was in front of me. There were no words on it I could understand. They were all blurry. Out of nowhere I was thrown to the ground and as I looked up the lady was driving full speed at me with a go kart. What the hell?

      Prom and this girl...-konzept01-s71-39868-lm-u-mondauto-lrv-neben-blauem-berg-blauer-himmel.jpg

I got in it with her and I started driving. She was earthbending the moon and made a big ramp for me to dive off of. I could see Saturn in the distance and jumped from the moon to it. The kart started to fall REALLY fast and everything got super blurry until I woke up.

    10. ToTM: Let It Snow (pt. 2); Lucifer's Offer

by , 12-09-2012 at 12:42 PM (Magic Box)
I become lucid. I am in a huge, old, wooden house. I can see the terrace a few meters away, and beyond that, I can see rows and rows of mountains half-covered with fog. I start walking towards the terrace, and suddenly a man in a black cloak appeared in front of me. He says something about making me lucid throughout the whole dream if I agree to give my soul to Lucifer. I think to myself, what the hell, it's a dream anyway. So I say yes. He vanishes in an instant.

I go out and look at the mountains. They are quite magnificent. The dream is extremely vivid and I can even feel the cold brought about by the fog. I think about my goals and remember the basic ToTM which is to let it snow. I know I have already done this a few weeks ago, so I decide to change it up this time. I put my arms out in front of me, and start moving it as if I were erasing something on the blackboard. As I am doing this, I am actually erasing the fog from the dream scene. After all the fog disappears, I try to make it snow by willing it with my mind.

At first, it doesn't work, so I decided to try something else. I shake both of my hands for a few seconds (like after you wash them and you shake the excess water off). Amazingly, it starts to snow! I imagine the snowflakes having different colors, just to make it interesting. Little by little, snow starts to fall in different colors – blue, yellow, orange, green, etc. I realize that they kinda look like cupcake sprinkles falling from the sky, but they are cold as ice, and they lose their color the moment they come into contact with another object (like my hand or once they land on the terrace). I look out at the mountains and indeed, they are covered in a thin, white sheet of snow.

I go back inside the house, and a DC greets me by asking how I just did the snow thing. I tell her it's magic, and she runs off yelling things like "I knew it! It exists!".

I think about doing the aurora borealis task, but I realize that it is still snowing outside, and it might be hard to make a scene change. I decide to go through a door, and hopefully come out on the other side in a nighttime setting.

I'm not quite sure what happens next. I remember going through the door and it being nighttime, but some DC starts asking me things about plastic bottles, and I guess I lose lucidity some time in between.

    11. LD: Tasks--Make it Snow...and Sing

      by , 12-08-2012 at 10:13 PM
      December 5, 2012

I did a WBTB this morning and had a lucid dream where I completed the two basic Tasks of the Month.

      Dream:

I don't remember what I was doing when I became lucid. I remember I had been with this little girl. She had shown me her bedroom and I noticed there was a dripping sink there. I tried to turn it off, but instead made the drip much worse. I told the girl that she needed to find her mom to see if there was a trick to fixing it. I also remember the little girl showing me the teeth she had lost.

Suddenly I was lucid. The first thing that came to my mind was that I wanted to do some of the Tasks of the Month. I was pretty sure the "snow" and "singing" ones would be pretty simple. I was inside a building and I decided to fly out and make it snow. As I flew out the window I found that I was about six stories up. The city I was in looked old. The buildings were brick and aging, but nice in the way that a lot of old buildings were.

The sky was dark gray, and I could see the first few flurries of snow blowing in the wind. I was pleased that it was happening already. I willed it to snow harder. Soon the flakes were coming down more uniformly, but still blowing in the wind. What I really wanted was for the snow to start landing on the ground and other things around me. I needed to speed this up. So as I flew, I tried to make the passage of time move more quickly.

I then noticed the snow building up on some of the tree branches and against the curbs where it had blown. I continued to fly. The snow was starting to cover everything now. I saw a thick layer of snow on a tree branch in front of me. I reached out and scooped it up as I passed. I took a big bite of it. I could feel the texture of the snow, but it wasn't as cold as real snow. I felt a little disappointed.

By now the sky was really dark. I couldn't see the sun. I wasn't sure if it had gone down or if it was just that stormy. I decided to do the task of Singing a Christmas Carol. Before I had gone to sleep I had thought about the different caroles that i knew and wanted to do something interesting. But now at this time I decided on the easiest one I knew....Jingle Bells.

Jeff was suddenly standing by me. I told him to song with me. " Dashing through the snow.....In a one-horse open sleigh....."

I didn't stick around to see if he would sing with me. I took off flying again as I sang. I noticed that it was no harder to sing the song in my lucid dream than it would have been in real life. I had wondered if it would have been different in any way. But it wasn't. I finished the carol and started thinking about the next Task I wanted to do. I wanted to see the Northern Lights.

I looked around and noticed that I had somehow gotten inside of a building. The area I was in was very large--like a huge indoor mall. I flew around looking for an exit. But I wasn't finding any. I was frustrated. I shouldn't be having a problem like this. I was better than this. I knew that if I believed that I could go through the walls and be outside. I touched a wall. It felt so solid, but i knew that I had control over this. I backed away and prepared to fly through the wall....
      when my alarm went off.

I pushed "snooze" and tried to will myself back into the dream. Nothing was happening. Then suddenly I got this very vivid image of a gray kitten with an orange tabby face looking through a window right at me. It startled me, and I was fully wake again. And at this point I knew that I didn't have time to go back to sleep again.
    12. Jakarta the charming indonesian city, Accomplishing the basic TOTM!

      Non-lucid: grey
      lucid: blue

The first thing that I remember is that I was going with my family to Bejaia (a coastal city). Our car was different as it had 7 seats instead of 5. I sat in the middle. The car started to move to our destination. I just enjoyed seeing the different landscapes that we passed by as the car was moving on the road. The sun started to raise when we left our hometown.

I can't remember exactly but I think a lot of time passed before we saw another city. I saw a building that can only be seen in setif (another city). I yelled: We're only in setif! This trip is taking so much time! My dad turned and told me: Don't worry we're almost there. I calmed a bit.

      memory gap

I was running. I believe it was night time. I bare feet and I could feel the grass whenever one of my feet hit the the ground. Then I remembered, and said to my self: didn't I just went to bed? I already knew I was dreaming but I confirmed it with a nose plug RC. As soon as I felt the air rush through my closed nostrils the scene completely changed. I was in what seemed to be an airport. looking to a city covered with mist. Later on I knew that city was Jakarta
      Spoiler for Jakatra :

Fascinated by the view as I'm a third world country inhabitant. Living in a small town. I didn't saw much skyscrapers in my life. So I just walked slowly enjoying the view. Little kids playing soccer there and some advertisement boards over there. Grown grass on both sides of the road that I was walking on. I then decided when I reached the skyscrapers that I should set a goal. I tried to remember the TOTM and I remembered something about snow. Oh yea I have to make it snow, I said to myself. I thought of just asking for snow but that seemed boring. After a few moments I decided what to do. I clapped my hands pointing them to the sky. A huge shock wave was the result of my clapping. that shock wave headed straight upwards and into the white clouds. I expected grey clouds to gather and that's what happened, and then it simply started to snow.
I then -happy with my results- decided to just do random stuff (which was the thing that made me lose lucidity) I remember jumping very high then falling and then waking up.

I woke up in my grandparents's house. I searched for my DJ to write my dream but couldn't find it. I then woke up for real.
    13. Snow and Bears - Dream of December 6th, 2012

      by , 12-06-2012 at 11:38 PM
A lot of the details of the dream are fuzzy but there are a few things I remember. I had somehow ended up in a place with a bunch of snow, which triggered my memory and made me remember one of the basic tasks for the month, to make it snow. I also remembered reading about dream stabilization though so I tried to do that first. I crouched down and felt the cold snow on my hands and feet and its grainy texture. The snow felt very real, but I still had trouble focusing on things far away and some things in the distance seemed to change slightly every so often. Even if the dream wasn’t that stabilized yet though I decided I’d attempt the basic task for the month. I waved my hands in the air and willed the snow off of the trees and swirled it in the air, then I focused on the clouds in the sky and willed some snow to fall from them as well. When I was done I looked up into the sky and watched the snowflakes gently fall to the ground.

After the previous event I somehow ended up indoors, and lost my lucidity for the most part. There was a wall of snow indoors and I was trying to dig behind different layers of it to get something but I don’t know what. Later it changed again, and I remember being at some place with a lot of big, intricately decorated buildings with my mom and dad who were talking about pregnancy for some reason. We left that place on a boat. There was supposedly somebody evil that lived there even though it looked colourful, bright, and happy.

The next part in the dream I remember is being at some sort of park place. I think I’ve been there before in previous dreams. The place I was at was surrounded by pine, spruce, birch, and other trees found in a Canadian forest. I was getting onto a miniature train that took people from one end of the forest to the other. In the middle of my ride though I decided to get off at the top of a grassy hill, which wasn’t very smart I soon realized. The train I had been on went on without me and sun was setting and it was beginning to get dark. I knew that a lot of carnivores would be coming out at dusk. Soon enough, I saw four large brown bears. I they walked around in the middle of the path and along the tracks for a bit then walked back into the woods. As soon as they were behind the trees I ran down the hill to try to get back the entrance of the park, but the bears were only slightly in the bush and saw me. One of the bears jumped on top of me. I screamed and then made squeaking type noises. The bear put my arm in its mouth bud didn’t hurt me. It was only playing. They bears reminded me of my dogs. It appeared that they were still fairly young. After that one of the train type things came back and I and all four bears went inside it for some odd reason. While in the train we saw a wolf but I wasn’t really worried since I had the bears with me. As we rode further we eventually met up with another person on a train. Soon after that I woke up.

    14. Aurora Borealis

      by , 12-05-2012 at 11:22 PM
This was the Aurora Borealis Task of the Month, and led to a really outstanding dream with some personal firsts. Some big ones for me were changing day to night and performing the task while the DC of a loved one (my son) accompanied me.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #36: Aurora Borealis

Wife and I are sitting at our breakfast table chatting with RI, a high school friend that I haven't seen in a long time. I look at the clock, realizing that it's 1:10 and I'm ten minutes late for a #DVA chat session. Wife and I go upstairs without IR, leaving her just sitting at the table. (Rude, I know.) I'm about to join the #DVA chat when Wife says, "Shouldn't you show her out of the house?"

      I leave, and
become lucid halfway down the stairs. The downstairs is different from my real house now. The floor has become shag carpet rather than hardwood and the ceiling is barely six feet tall, my head reaching right to the top of it. IR is still at the breakfast table but she just smiles and waves me on. My three-year-old son E is waiting for me at the back door, and I scoop him up in my arms, knowing that he would love to see the aurora borealis.

I step outside and find that my back yard is either gone or has swollen to gigantic proportions. There's a huge barbecue going on to my left. Vividness is top-notch -- I literally cannot detect any difference in visual quality between what I'm seeing now and what I see in waking life. I walk on, passing a set of grills where a man in a red football jersey numbered "52" is turning over some burgers. His shirt is emblazoned with the words "UNCLE BO". I stare at the guy for a moment, a bit stunned by how real he looks.

I perch my son on my shoulders and start running past the barbecue into a city. A long line of DCs is waiting in line for a movie or a show. I notice that C, someone that I haven't seen since high school is manning the ticket line. He smirks at me and shrugs his shoulders when I recognize him.

I walk to the base of a skyscraper and look into the sunny sky. I need darkness for this Task of the Month so I tell my son, "It's getting dark now." The sun fades out of view and the color of the sky deepens to twilight. As soon as night falls, I see the autora borealis above me!

I start to rise off of the ground but my son is squirming on my shoulders, saying, "Don't want to go! Don't want to go!" He starts crawling around on my head, even giving me a little foot to the face. I shift him so that his arms are around my neck and he seems to settle down. I fly straight up, staying close to the skyscraper to keep my bearings.

I'm feeling an overwhelming sense of excitement as I fly toward the aurora. I'm so pumped that I shout a continuous battle cry as I rise. In response, the dream starts blasting a full symphonic orchestra soundtrack to my ascent.
Looking back this seems totally cheesy, but I can't even care! It was amazing. The music was fantastic... I wish so badly that I could have somehow recorded it.

I fly over the Aurora and see that inside it conceals a vast mother ship, almost like a space carrier that stretches for miles. As far as I can see down the length of the ship, smaller yellow spaceships are taking off from the carrier to destinations unknown. As each leaves the mother ship, it emits this purple flash of energy that joins the rest of the Aurora. It's the energy "exhaust" of each of these smaller spaceships that creates the aurora.

All along, the soundtrack (and, amazingly, my battle cry) keeps going. I realize that I can do just as these ships are doing and I start pouring that purple energy outward from my palms, and it bleeds into the rest of the Aurora. More and more energy pours from my hands as the dream begins to fade. Soon all I can see are my hands, and after that
      I wake up.

    15. The Blizzard

      by , 12-02-2012 at 05:51 PM
I made it snow in this LD, but much earlier in the dream than I'd intended! I'd like to try this one again.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #35: The Blizzard

My friend J is showing off the contents of a huge wall safe to me and a couple of other people. The safe is about 5 feet tall and features not only a combination lock but also the dual-key system you usually find in safe deposit boxes. Each shelf is stacked with interesting little boxes. There's something dreamlike about all of this to me and I become lucid.

I ask J, "Have you got anything really cool in there?" He motions for me to move closer. "Oh yeah. Check this out." He hands me a small piece of paper with cursive printing on it. The top of it reads: "Receipt for Money Laundering". This amuses me, but I decide not to get too stuck trying to read the rest of it. The Task of the Month (making it snow) is on my mind now and I head for some automatic doors.

Fortunately, the automatic doors work perfectly well this time (unlike a few dreams back), and I walk through a two sets of them, repeating over and over to myself, "I'm having a lucid dream and I'm going to make it snow."

The next room is a post office filled with dream characters waiting in line. Hell if I'm going to spend a lucid dream hanging around in the post office, so I start running. Still repeating my mantra, I go through another automatic door into a quiet, windowed reception area.

Through the window I see that it's night outside and a fierce blizzard is swirling outside. There's a road outside and the headlights of passing cars illuminate twisting snow eddies. An 18-wheeler roars by and blows its horn for no apparent reason. The snowfall is so thick that the truck disappears quickly after passing.

I try to head for the building's exit, but it's extremely hard to move. Even though I can't feel the cold winds outside, somehow they're affecting things inside the reception area. I lean into "wind" that I can't even feel, trying to push forward outside into the actual blizzard. It occurs to me that I'm trying to get better at flowing with adversity in lucid dreams, especially adversity in the form of wind. My brute force progress is slow, but I make it close to the exit. Before I make it out, though,
      I wake up.
