24.11.2010Big scare with an ending reward (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID ASTRAL PROJECTION Two dreams. One one, I turned lucid twice and Astral Projected once. Second: I was in the beach with some friends. The sun was bright and I was going to take a swim. Suddenly, I turned lucid with no reason. I started to look around and realized the dream was fuzzy. Instead of taking off and flying as usual, I decided to say, "Clarity Now" I said that a couple of times, but only the second time worked somehow. I wanted to fly as I am used to do so to make sure I prevent premature awakening. I was flying over downtown and I decided to land once my dream was stable. I recalled that if I allowed myself to fall on my back on a lucid dream and I focused on Astral Projection I could project. I decided to give it a shot. I jumped on my back and focused on Astral Projection. I started to fall in a pit surrounded by lava. I saw the dream in third person for a few seconds. I could feel the burn in my skin. Suddenly, I was like in a maze. There was lava on the roof and the walls were made of lava. There was an efrit on my back and a demon in front of me. The efrit was all red, he had fire on his head and his hands. He had a very evil looking and a very weird face. The demon was light brown and it had like hair all around. He had very big horns but his face did not looked as evil. I though that for some reason I projected to a low vibrational realm. They escorted me to some place. I was very afraid of the efrit for some reason, however, he left. I was now in a big hall with some steps on my back. I was in front of the demon. I decided to do a reality check as I started to wonder why the hell I was there. I had six fingers in my hand. I realized I failed to Astral Project and I falled into a non lucid dream. I felt better, however, I was still a little afraid of the efrit. I decided to torture the demon before the efrit returned. I tried to open a void in the wall, but I could not. I told the demon, "You, fucking demon. You better open a portal for me or I will destroy you. This is my dream so you better open me a portal to leave this place." The demon approached the wall and I saw like a small void opening. I placed my hand on the void but all I felt was the hard wall. I told the demon, "You better open the portal at once!" The demon started to freak out. He was afraid of me. I saw the steps and realized that I could attempt to Astral Project again. The dream quality and the lucidity was superior, so I knew it would work. I focused on Astral Projection and jumped on my back. I was suddenly in my room. Floating on the top of my bed. I was a little nervous from the efrit dream. I could see my body in bed next to my wife. I did a reality check and it did not fail. i could read and everything looked normal. I wanted to get away from my body before it called me back. I floated around my room and walked through the closed door. I want to point out that I have never being able to do that on a lucid dream (and I am natural) I always smash into smithereens walls and doors or I bounce back like would happen in waking. I floated over my living room and I decided to leave home. I floated through the wall and I exited. I was floating through my neighborhood and felt very free. I could float and move just with my thoughts (vs a dream that I have to make some effort to fly) I had no worries, just endless calm. I started to think in White light for protection to raise my Astral vibrations. I felt my astral body with even more energy. I kept floating and moving when I felt my wife moving in bed. I experienced double consciousness and I was back in my body. The return to my body was instantaneous and comfortable. Usually, I am confused when I wake from a lucid dream, but not from Astral Projection. My wife was still moving in bed when I was back in my body. I waited a few minutes in bed. I was exiting trance and I needed to ground myself
Non-lucid dream, kind of nightmare-ish full of tension/conflict, not enjoyable like most of my dreams have been lately so it stuck out. I'm part of some crime fighting organization, and we and our mad scientist design a helecopter to take out the bad guys and go inflitrate their base, which is like a generic military secret concrete geometrically squarish place. We infiltrate covert ops style, black suits and all, and wind up failing, they hijack our helecopter but we escape a-ok. The dream switches to a type of video game cutscene, with six of our helecopters, now retro fitted with nuclear missle and a dozen gunmen or so, rising out of the water! dun dun dun.. Created by their version of our mad scientist. evil mad scientist. So now my ex roommate it part of their organization, R, and we are texting for some reason, like we're trying to stay friends even though we're fighting eachother. The scene switches again, and they've just bombed a tropical island, perhaps to use it as a new base. The men that planted the bomb on the island are running frantically down the mountain as lava is flowing behind them, toward the shoreline below. I'm watching all this from an aerial 3rd person perspective, and see that R is on the mountain, and text him "Be safe!" and see him texting me back as he runs, the response says "No doubt here man" or something similarly macho. He is almost to the water when he slips on some rock, and the lava overtakes him and covers his left leg, leaving the rest of his body untouched. He begins to scream, howling in agony, and it is incredibly realistic and dominating my senses. It's like I'm standing next to somebody who has been mortally wounded and can do nothing. Now I'm in the water, swimming towards the island with lava flowing down toward my injured friend. I stop at a rock close to the shore, he is about fifteen ft away from me, and I start to splash water on to him as fast as I can, working hard, but it's doing nothing and he is still screaming horrifically. The lava is flowing down towards me and the water I'm standing in is getting closer and closer to boiling. I hesistate looking back at him and then jump into the water and swim away as fast as I can. At this point my organization comes zipping into sight on a white truck on a small dirt road on the island to save me, tropical trees and sand, dark grey skies. The dream then fades. This dream really stuck out because of how intensely real the screaming was ,and it persisted for about five minutes real time. Fortunately I haven't had a bad dream since this one. P.s. I'm going to make a habit of posting some dreams each week, interesting, whether lucid or not just to make a habit of it and I develop my RC and LD skill sets. Hope y'all don't mind.

In case anyone was wondering, no one is online at 5:30am in the middle of the summer. I wonder why that is. It was dark, and I was next to a field of tall grass. Knowing there was a pack of wolves in there, I nervous, but I went in the grass anyway and started leading the pack. I had to keep moving and be careful so they wouldn't turn on me. I dove out of the grass and into a tent in the nearby forest, where my fellow campers were staying. There was something in the forest that would have attacked us if we hadn't gotten in the tents soon enough. Scene change. I was hiking through a desert-like area, and it was really bright. There were a whole bunch of nets and ladders between various pillars made of red stone. We started climbing, which was scary. The nets were triangle-shaped, so there wasn't much to hold onto at the top. Luckily my dad was able to help by pulling me up the rest of the way. So I'm standing on this brownish, somewhat slippery/crumbly/sandy stone about 20 or 30 feet off the ground, when I notice there's a giant lava geyser right next to the pillar. First it sprayed up a stream of purple stuff, then it burst into flames. Despite the hot, intimidating stream of lava spouting up right next to me, I was most worried about falling off the edge and going splat. Dang, why can't the dreams I'm having now be this intense? I found that old dream while going through my school stuff. One day I got really, really bored in Spanish class, and I happened to remember a dream, so I wrote it down on a random page. I'm surprised I can still remember the details of it as clearly as I do.
I am travelling with a male companion who has short black hair and is a sorceror of sorts. His name starts with an "M" but I can't remember his actual name from the dream. I am a sword fighter and the two of us are travelling the world to learn new skills to compensate the things we already know. In other words, M is trying to find someone to teach him close combat skills and I am seeking to learn magic. M and I have learned all we can from each other and need to find external sources to teach us more. We are Japan during the feudal era and are both dressed in Japanese inspired treveller's clothing. We are walking along a cobblestone path through a forest towards some early Edo period buildings that we can see ahead of us. It seems as if everything is in technicolor. It is night but the stars shine so brightly that it is not dark at all. The tree leaves are in magesnta and purples and everything with color is very vivid. As we get closer to the buildings we come to a fork in the road and we meet two young women, a young man dressed as a monk and his pet, a small flying orange fox, who are coming down the other path and heading towards the same buildings that we are. M and I tell the other people that we are looking for someone to teach us. One of the young woman tells us that they are going to see their sensei and we cantag along if we want. We follow them to the largest of the buildings, a shrine on the edge of what seems to be a small village. The inside of the shrine is like a large cave. There are three large stone platforms (two on each side and one in the middle) that rise above what looks like a lake of glowing red lava below, but it does it smell like sulfur, so I wasn't sure what it was at first. On the center platform is a large Spirit or God. He is wearing royal looking kimonos underneath samurai armor. He has long white hair and beard and pale purple coloured skin. He introduced himself as "Akashi" and before M and I can tell him why we've come, he tells us that we have different paths to follow for our training that that we will have to seperate. This upsets both M and I because up until this point we have always done our training together. Akashi tells M to follow the group of people we met on the cobblestone path, for they are all trained in close combat and can teach him much, but I am to stay with Akashi because my training is going to be harder and longer. The Spirit God produces a fist size blue stone that is reminiscent of a outline of a pair of lips and with a wave of his hand it grows to in size until it is as large as me. I am bound with magic rope to it and M gets upset to see me tied up. Akashi says that while bound to the blue stone I will not become uncomfortable, hungry or tired, and that he is going to send me into another dimension where time passes much more quickly. There I will be able to observe and learn from other spirits for what will be an equivalent of many months, though only three days will pass in the physical world. Akashi opens a portal to the other dimension and the blue stone to which I am tied floats through. When the portal closes, Akashi instructs M to follow the group back into the forest where he can observe them fighting monsters and demons and says by the end of the three days M will have the same level of combat skills as they. Three days pass and M and the group return to the shrine and find Akashi fighting some demons who have forced their way into the physical realm from another dimension. The group helps the Spirit God fight off the demons but when it is all over Akashi tells them that he expended a lot of power fighting the demons and he now does not have the energy to retrieve me from the dimension he sent me to. M says that he has lots of magic power to spare, since he didn't use it while combat training, and offers it for Akashi's use. The Spirit God absorbs M's power and sends the small flying fox into the small portal opening. The flying fox chews off the ropes binding my hands and feet then magically grows to the size of a lion so that I can ride on his back. Some of the spirits that I had been observing and learning from all those months try to follow us through the portal but Akashi tries to stop them. They become angry and attack the fox and I before we are all the way through and try to drag us back into their dimension. M and the group help them fight them back while Akashi sits back and watches approvingly. Akashi then closes the portal and gathers us all on the center platform where praises us all for our skills. The dream ends there.

All I can remember is being in an underground volcanic tunnel and there is a race going on. The racers have wingless dragons instead of vehicles. One young male rider with white hair (who looks like Moordryd Paynn) and a purple dragon becomes stranded on a small ledge when his dragon cannot make the jump over a lava pit. A chain link barrier appears around them and traps them on the ledge. I am not participating in the race but watching from above (I was floating or something?) and I was upset the the rider on the purple dragon became trapped because I knew him or liked him or something and I could do nothing to help him.

It is winter, snowing heavily and very cold. I am travelling with a group of random people and we are trying to find our way up a steep mountain. We are all dressed warmly, but in medieval/fantasy style clothing, rather than modern day winterwear. The sky begins to darken, but I cannot tell if it is because twilight is approaching, or if storm clouds are moving in. The person leading the group gets our attention and points to something up a head of us. There is an eeiry blue light that is creating a large corona at the very top of the mountain. Suddenly the mountain begins to shake and giant cracks appear all around our group. Lava begins pouring out of the cracks and the melting snow causes the entire mountain side to be engulfed in a thick steam. I am not sure the what the rest of the group is doing, but I turn back the way we came and try to find a way down the erupting volcano. Huge chunks of mountian and ice break apart and sink into the cracks filled with rising lava, in most cases creating more steam. I have to throw off my heavy coat because the lava and the steam makes everything ever so hot. I cannot remember how this dream ended.

I am seeking treasure in a vast underground cavern. I am with two people: a tall, muscular man with a goatee and a young, blond woman who has several weapons in her belt. The three of us are not acquaintances, but are working together out of convenience. I cannot rememeber much from the beginning of the dream, but the three of us find our way to a large chamber filled with bubbling lava. There is a narrow metal walkway that leads to a square platform in the center of the room, but no platform beyond that which would lead to the platform and door on the far side of the lava chamber that we are convinced contains the treasure we are seeking. My companions and I reach the center platform and see two glowing, circular blue tiles on it that seem to have no obvious function. We suddenly notice three sets of gymnast rings, beyond the center platform, that can be used to swing across to the far platform. When the three of us have done so, the young blond woman runs ahead and disappears through a door that I assume leads to the next chamber. I try to follow her but the large goateed man grabs me roughly by the shoulders and says that I am not needed anymore. He is very strong, so I cannot escape his grasp, and I begin to panic when he lifts me up and prepares to throw me into the lava. He tosses me high and far and luckily I am able to grab the first set of rings and swing myself to the center platform. The man yells angrily at me but does not follow. I do not consider why he does not follow until I am in the middle of the narrow walkway when the blond woman appears in the doorway that we first came through. I have no idea how she circled around behind me but I am more concerned with the gun that she is brandishing in her hand. I run back towards the center platform and try to figure out what to do next. The woman makes her way down the narrow walkway and I get the idea to stand on one of the blue tiles. When I do so the narrow walkway sinks into the lava and takes the now screaming woman down with it. I can hear the man behind me using the rings to come towards me so I step on the other blue tile and the rings detatch from their teathers and the man too falls screaming into the lava. I cannot remember anymore of this dream.
Aug. 7, 2003: I woke up after what I know were most likely some pretty strange dreams, some of them about Lemmings, with a vague sense that something wasn't right. I still have that sense that something isn't right, but I can't put my finger on it. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually, when my house is a smoldering pile of ashes or something. In the meantime, the Lemmings beckon. Aug, 12, 2003: I had a dream that I was a moogle, only I was some sort of strange, aquatic moogle. I basically spent a lot of time looking for treasure and bringing it back, particularly archaeological treasures that were impossible for other people to reach. I dreamed that I found this stash of rare pearls and stuff in a really ancient sunken ship. The catch to this was, even though I was aquatic and stuff, I was more like a penguin and a fish: I still had to breathe air. The wreck was perched on this really unstable shelf of rock, or something, and I was breathing pockets of air in the wreck, when something happened and it started sliding into the crevasse, so I had to make a split-second decision as to whether or not to take the treasure with me. I knew that people would probably exploit or wreck something so rare and beautiful, but I couldn't bring myself to leave it there, so I decided to bring it with and escape. I exited the room I was in, on the ship, and suddenly I was in some sort of little bedroom, and my aunt was there packing stuff up, to get it all out before the ship tumbled into the crevasse. She helped me pack the treasure, and then we escaped. So then, the dream continued... God only knows why... and there was some sort of sorceress, or evil, or something, taking over the land, and there were a bunch of mages I hung out with at this academy and they were practicing their fly spell, only one of them flew off-course and was attacked by some higher level enemies, so we had to go and help him. And then there was something about a big explosion and a matter-crunching/black hole sort of spell, and the apocalypse. There was lots of lava.
Morning of July 19, 1969. Saturday. This dream, looking over notes and doing a bit more research, seems to have been influenced by the following real-life events and associations: 1. “The Day the Earth Stood Still” (original movie from 1951). 2. Visits to a parking lot near a store at an early age (not sure where, somewhere near Port Charlotte, I think) where an elephant would perform tricks near our car. It terrified me when I was much younger, but as I got a older, the fear subsided. My mother had said that I had yelled for them (my parents) to roll up the windows of the car when we first went there when I was really young. An older sister still has photographs of these events. 3. Movies in the earlier grades in school about Pompeii and volcanoes in general. My wife said she had dream influences from such movies as well. I dreamed of volcanoes fairly often during my early years and once in real life, was startled by a sudden hailstorm which I thought was lava and volcanic rocks pouring down on our roof (this was a few years after this entry’s dream) and so I ran and hid in the closet until I realized what it was. Due to the fact that there was a large rutted metal section as the roof over most of our carport, it was really loud. 4. The “Uhny Uftz” episode of “The Dick Van Dyke Show”, first seen September 29, 1965. Contrary to what my dreams sometimes presented, I was never alone in a car at an early age. My dream begins with my becoming aware of being in the middle of my backyard and assuming it is Sunday, late morning, perhaps around ten. A shadow appears on the ground, which is perfectly round, moving southward over our neighbor’s house. Perhaps it is a cloud, but perhaps not, so I go inside. I get a very vague sense of a “poisonous cloud”. Inside, in the living room, a man on a news report is talking rather unemotionally about a flying saucer having been sighted. I am slightly lucid, so I decide that I will take control for a time and visit Brenda W, a female classmate who lives north of me. We go back to my house and I notice the news reader is still talking about the flying saucer and some sort of (I think) toxic gas or some such. Brenda is laughing because when the man is speaking on the television, certain things he is saying seem to be going on outside in the backyard at the same time as each spoken reference (round shadow, flashing light, strange hum…). Later, Brenda seems to have gone home and I am seriously annoyed at this, as I want to spend the day playing with her (more like “playing house” even though I was quite young at the time). I decide to go back to her house. Soon, though, the round shadow appears on the ground, but I do not really look up. I start walking faster and faster, first trying to hide under trees, but eventually I start running and turn to go south towards town where there may be bigger and safer buildings and more people - and I have a vague idea that Brenda may also have gone there instead of going home. Amazingly, I run so fast and “perfectly” that I manage to run straight down the wall of a gulley, then turning about at fully ninety degrees upright again, treading effortlessly and swiftly over the surface of the deeper stream - only lightly splashing the surface, and turning my entire body again at ninety degrees and going straight up the wall on the other side - and then continue on as if nothing strange had happened, my only concern being that I had wasted a few seconds by not running in a straight, horizontal path! Eventually I am in town (Arcadia) and I do not notice any people around. Even though it seems to be the weekend, I notice a few cars in the elementary school’s parking lot and think it may be a meeting of the teachers - or perhaps a few alarmed people did not know where else to go for safety. I notice that the flying saucer seems to be landing, so I go to duck down near a car (but do not yet get into the car). It lands and looks just like the spacecraft from “The Day the Earth Stood Still”. The “door” of the flying saucer opens and…as I start to climb into the front seat of the car to hide… Out walks a large elephant… The elephant lifts its trunk straight into the air and out sprays a massive amount of lava and volcanic rocks. I jump into the car, but I notice the volcanic rocks quickly stacking up over the front window of the car (almost in “fast motion” animation) and so…it is the end of everything.
Morning of April 9, 1972. Sunday. Whenever it starts to rain, or especially hail, I feel a bit strange and then notice it is not rain, but a volcano erupting in the distance (always south of my Cubitis home) and little bits of lava or perhaps small volcanic rocks hitting the roof. This volcano seems to be in a similar location as another later volcano dream - “Heart of a Volcano”. I leave the house and start to run north (I almost always ran north in dreams when living in Florida, even though the main town itself, including schools and stores, was to the south, because I think I was somehow aware that Florida eventually came to an end if I went too far south though I had moved from the north as well - though there are exceptions regarding dreams where I was looking for a partner of the “mystery girl”). I suddenly find myself stuck inside a tumbleweed-like bush and cannot move much (no bushes or larger plants were anywhere in that area in real life). I just somehow sort of “popped” into it, as if I was just suddenly there as I was running. Later on, I am designing a coloring book (with me as the main character on many of the pages) with this scene as one of the pages (recurring), the line underneath reading “trapped in the bush”. The threat from the volcano at the point is almost nonexistent.
