    1. A Near Mystere

Night of December 6, 2017. Wednesday.

Fading into semi-lucidity after typical hypnagogic lucidity, I go beyond a stream surrounded by rock faces into an open area. This shifts into an idea to manifest a perfect combination of sensuality and eeriness. I decide to integrate Zsuzsanna into the role of Mary Medina as in the Grimm Fairy Tales 2017 Halloween Special, but I mostly let it flow on its own without in-dream control (by way of spoken affirmations by my dream self as in some apex lucidity states). There is a sustained event with an incompetent makeup artist. Zsuzsanna ends up with only white face paint on her forehead. This scene seems to repeat after a reset.

Although some of the setting looks somewhat like a sketchy version of New Orleans, some of the buildings appear as if they are cardboard facades about a block or two away. I ignore this feature and focus on intensifying the nature of my dream. Ghosts wander about, but there is not much eeriness or plot.

The outcome is in a large dining room. About seven ghosts (in Victorian clothes) play Musical Chairs with six gold chairs with red velvet seats and backs. As they are ghosts, there can be no winners or losers as they just phase into and out of each other when trying to sit and stay on the chairs (and for example, two taking up the same space on the same chair). This scenario is so amusing, it pulls me out of the dream state with an almost audible laugh.

I was with my daughter (as a toddler) on my shoulders. I was trying to cook something but her eye was caught by the orange ring on the hob and she tried to reach down and touch it. I stopped her of course, but like in howl's moving castle she was able to wipe the ring away like it was a magic mark.
We go to a market selling all sorts of odd ments and she grabs hold of a wooden ornament that she thinks is a toy. I try to get it off her but she has ir hidden in her hat somewhere.
Next we are at the bank of the stream at my parents house in the countryside and she sees a cat and wants to play. She jumps down and morphs into a cat and starts playing and wants to scare the other cat by hissing. But the other cat pays no heed then when she is persistent the grey tabby starts to get up. It is twice the size of her and starts to stalk her so she morphs back and jumps up onto my shoulders again.

    3. The Insomniac Dilemma

by , 12-07-2017 at 03:28 PM (Random Awesomeness with Drop Therapy)
What happens when you have a dream when you don't get much sleep? Trust me, it isn't enjoyable.
So last night, I was asleep about an hour after I went to bed when my dog Milo licked me on the face and tried to get on my bed. After that, he left. The only problem with this is that I could NOT go to sleep afterwards. I eventually did go to sleep. Briefly. Anyway, ther dream was very abstract. I was on my bed when my friend K got on my computer. I told him not to do it but he didn't listen. He only replied with "I will push your face onto the bed" and then he did just that with his hand. He relaxed his hand and I decided to close my eyes for some reason. He then began to push so hard that I felt like my head was gonna snap open. I woke up, and then went on my phone to write about the dream. I noticed that there was a song on my phone that wasn't originally there that I decided was my dream. All of a sudden, I couldn't see in front of my and my head was permanently locked looking at the wall to the left of me. I moved a bit, and then I became semi concious. Eventually, I fell back into the dream. This cylce of dreaming and then waking up happened a few times before I decided to move from that spot. I think the reason these dreams were so abstract was because of my slightly decreased sanity in that situation.
    4. Superstition is for the Birds

      Morning December 7, 2017. Thursday.

With water induction, I find myself walking over a walkway made up of boards of various lengths. It is also implied to be a road (or low-set bridge) for cars (though only one passes from the opposite direction at times to where I move out of the way a short distance), over water (either the ocean or a large lake), though I remain unsure of the location. Walking with me to my immediate left is an unknown male in his late twenties. He reminds me of an otherwise younger John Leguizamo (though I seem to be much younger as well).

“Be careful, it’s a pigeon,” he tells me. A mostly black pigeon walks across the walkway, perpendicular to us, and from my left to my right. John’s spoken statement causes me to become a bit more aware, but I do not understand the relevance.

Looking at him, his face seems to remain frozen, with an annoying grin. “Is it now?” I say, but he does not respond.

I am trying to grasp the situation when I realize that it has something to do with “not letting a pigeon cross your path”, though this is otherwise distorted from the nonsensical “black cat” superstition.

Looking at him again, his face is in a different annoying expression, also somewhat like a grin.

I decide to “not let the pigeon cross my path” by turning right and following the pigeon, as it had apparently stopped and is walking slowly. Still, this will lead me off the side of the walkway if I continue. Instead, I find myself walking on my bed. There is a strange falling sensation as if my body was not fully perceived. I am concerned that I fell atop Zsuzsanna, but this is only a false awakening.

      Decoding template follows:

      • Dream type and explanation: This dream uses “return flight waking symbolism”, which is created when the physicality of the conscious self identity is ambiguously perceived prior to the RAS (reticular activating system) neural gating that regulates the sleep-wake transition. Consequently, the dream self identity subliminally anticipates falling, rising, sustained flight, or other illusory movement based on the misperception of the vestibular system’s equilibrium dynamics.
      • Dream state induction type: Water (most common, at least once per sleeping period).
      • Dream state indicators: The bed (in the false awakening).
      • Liminal space symbol: The walkway over the water and the false awakening setting.
      • Preconscious factor: John Leguizamo.
      • Liminal space cessation trigger: Contemplating illusory nonsense while in the dream state itself (yet not realizing it).
      • Flight symbol to dream exit point (symbolic waking transition): The pigeon as “returning” me to my bed, symbolized in my dream by the false awakening. (Typically, the preconscious points out this dream feature as such, which here, I become annoyed at, probably out of subliminal lucidity and not wanting to wake yet.)
      • Subliminal lucidity seems to be a partial element, evidenced by my “freezing” (and sustaining) of the preconscious and implementing my own focus of choice, even though it otherwise manifests my false awakening into the offset dream.
      • “And they try to pigeon hole in you in hollywouldnt but dont u let them!” - John Leguizamo.

    5. Film Trailer - Demons

by , 12-07-2017 at 12:06 PM (Break the code, break the node)
I dreamt of the trailer of a film
it was about a portal being opened from "hell" to earth
and that the CIA or FBI or whatever already made a big large security compound basically stopping demons from entering freely our world
and characters were talking about that, and that now each demon that enters must stand trial to have a chance of becoming a citizen of the US
basically meaning that not every demon is a genocidial maniac monster
and then there was a scene of one entering ,a powerfull one, it had a human head with those cat like animal ears\horns, yellow reptile like skin, and yellow eyes black sclera, I think it said something that made everyone worry big time
    6. Amazingly vivid lucid dream

      by , 12-07-2017 at 12:00 PM
I did a finger RC and I counted 6 or 7 fingers! I looked around to look at my surroundings and soak in the detail. I looked down at my body and saw I was wearing black school uniform (as that was what I was wearing in the dream before becoming lucid. I felt my body with my hands and realised I could feel my hands with my body too. I did a bit of awareness/dream yoga stuff to try and sense as much as possible in the dream. I felt the ground and it was grass with big clovers on it. It was interesting to bend down, as I could feel the orientation of my dream body change as if it were my real body. I transported to a pool in which I could feel the water on my body. I said ‘raise temperature by 2°’ out loud and the water temperature increased. I wanted to transport to a desert so I knelt down on the sand coloured tile floor and tried to imagine my finger was drawing a door. At first it looked like nothing was happening, but then I saw a bit of the invisible door I had drawn had a crack. I hit the floor and the door gradually opened, revealing a desert scene.

I had a false awakening and immediately wanted to write the lucid dream in my dream journal. I was in a student house with some people I knew at uni and they kept distracting me from writing down my lucid dream! Eventually I did wake up in reality and I wrote down my lucid dream.
    7. In-House Train

      by , 12-07-2017 at 11:59 AM
      Morning December 7, 2017. Thursday.

I am seemingly at our present address, though it is distorted. There are two main parts to my dream.

One part involves Jim (August 1, 1947-June 10, 2008, half-brother on my mother’s side). He is sitting next to me on a bench, to my left. A doctor is also present. My dream self is unaware that he had died. However, the doctor is talking about Jim’s overweight physicality. (This was more relevant to the 1980s, before he lost a lot of weight.) There seem to be other people present at times. There is some sort of surreal concept relating to individual internal body parts relating to being fat and which one is affected first, with some sort of odd association with stencils. Jim does not speak but the doctor does, touching Jim’s shoulders and arms at times.

This eventually shifts into a different dream scenario. It relates to also being at our present address. However, there is apparently a train, designed like a subway train, which seemingly goes north to south near where our bed is in reality. I stand in the semidarkness looking at this setup, though I do not consider it strange or intrusive.

Two men who work for this subway system, formally dressed, though reminding me also of movie ushers based on their uniforms, are performing an unusual task while moving out from and back into the different train cars. They are working from north to south, putting some sort of small metal hanging objects over the door handles. Some of the hanging objects are different but some resemble a smaller detached handle of some kind, though each reminds me vaguely of a broken handcuff (though not seen as such by my dream self). However, I realize that they relate to some sort of signifying of a particular subway car’s status, possibly relating to how many passengers are allowed in the next journey or which cars can be used in what way.

Next, there is a pointless and contradictory conversation where I tell them that one of the handles does not need the marker as such (as there is already one on the adjacent handle of the same set of doors), even though I am not certain of the purpose of their job. They say that it does not matter how many of the objects are used but then soon contradict themselves by implying that there is only a limited number of these objects and that all must go where they should. I do not say anything or even fully notice this contradiction for a few seconds, then I wake in realization that their comments made no sense.

      Decoding template follows:

      • Dream type and explanation: Doorway waking symbolism; with emergent consciousness triggered by illogical contradiction (liminal space cessation trigger), as intelligence is not typically extant in the dream state.
      • RAS symbol to dream exit point: Our sleeping area was replaced by a train, symbolizing the return to waking life and oriented north to south as how we rise from bed in reality (that is, our feet are oriented south).
      • Preconscious factor: The subway workers as ambiguously associated with movie ushers (as a movie theater symbolizes detachment from the real world; that is, symbolizes the dream state itself).
      • Additionally, the otherwise unknown act seems associated with setting up rope barriers (as in a movie theater) yet without the rope, and yet also implying “release” from the dream state (broken handcuffs on door handles, a door representing a dream’s exit point).
      • The first part of my dream relates to a desire to remain healthy, though I am not obese (as Jim was throughout the 1980s).

    8. Dream - Hassle In The Driveway & I Don't Need A Test

Date of Dream: THU 7 DEC - 2017

Dream No. 238 - Separated Sections

Dream 238 A - Hassle In The Driveway
I was in the driveway when my mum and brother were talking to me. It wasn't long before the were starting to hassle me and pick on me. They weren't giving up any time soon and so I decided to threaten Dreamy WB upon them... It initially only seemed to make things worse; they were hassling me even more. Then I went and called for Dreamy WB up the court, even with my mum and brother standing there. One time I called “Dreamy WB” and the next to times I called “Miss T”. Dreamy WB doesn't come but my mum and brother do look scared now. That's all I can remember about this dream.

      Dream 238 B - I Don't Need A Test
I forgot what happened at the start of the dream. From where I do remember, my family and I were out shopping at this unknown shopping strip. We arrived at 3:15 PM and apparently a $30 parking fee only lasted until 4:15 PM. When it reached that time, we had to go and move the car. There was then talk that I needed to go and see a specialist for a medical test. I kept telling my parents that the specialist was a dodgy criminal and so I didn't need any test from him. That's all I can remember about this dream.

    9. Dream - Inside The Game

Date of Dream: WED 6 DEC - 2017

Dream No. 237 - Inside The Game

At the start of the dream, I was in this emptiness, just some plain white void and no, it has nothing to do with lucidity. In that scene, I said to myself, “I want to find Dreamy WB, I think she'd be in the forest again”. So then the scene shifted to a more realistic surrounding. I was flying really fast down this long road, it almost felt like car travel. At one point, there were a lot of rocky areas that made it look like I was flying through some caves. I thought to myself “this doesn't look right” and I may have wanted to turn back but I always continued. I eventually got to an area where there were a lot of trees and I was flying right over them. This is where I perceived Dreamy WB's energy but in this dream, I was expecting her to come in her human form.

The scene then shifted and I was actually in WB's room, seeing what she was going. She was on her computer and I saw she was looking at the scores of a facebook game she was playing, called something like “Raptor Hunt”. On the screen was an assortment of these cute looking, blob-like creatures. I thought to myself “that's a game I actually want to try out. It turns out I was indeed going to try out the game, not only by playing, but by actually being in it!

Me and my brother were then supposedly in the scene which was inside the game. We were on these grasslands when eventually, I came across this pink Sonic-like animal holding a pink egg. There was some writing in the sky which says something like “you've found the first hidden egg”. My brother was following me around when we came across the second hidden egg which was orange. The third and final hidden egg in this game was blue.

Once we had supposedly found all the hidden eggs, the dream changed scene and my brother and I were at some high point of the grasslands. The three characters were all there with the respective coloured eggs in their hands. They were talking to us and for some reason, the characters' appearance were changing slightly. They all still had Sonic the Hedgehog hair-does and the slim figure but their faces were changing. The pink one's face was turning to Murray the Hippo, the blue one to Bentley the Turtle, and the orange one to Sly the Raccoon. I forgot specifically what they said to us. Then that's all I can remember about the dream.
