Lucid Dreams
Hey guys. Been getting a little lazy so my LD count is going downhill. But I'll get unlazy ASAP. But I'm sick so I'm not too motivated. I'm also just gonna post in all one color from now on. But it doesn't matter, you'll know when I'm lucid cause I always say it in my entries anyway. 1/3/12(Early Morning) ** I find myself with Zaine and his friend who's name I can't remember. We are in some sort of house. We're in the bedroom watching television, but I can't recall what's on. I do recall the television is big and gray. It has an antenna on it.* ** The room itself had two beds. Their is one window and one door. The door is plain white. The paint job appears to be fresh. The walls in the room are kind of manilla-tan colored.* ** It is just a normal gloomy day outside however. Grey clouds blocking the Sun, no light. It looks as if it is*about to rain outside.* ** I do recall an EAS broadcast on the TV. But the annoying alarm they use is different from usual. It was deeper, but louder and more annoying. I immediately turn the TV off. I hate that alarm.* ** Zaine and his friend seem unaffected by this. As if they don't care. I'm sure nothing good is on TV anyway. There never ever is.* ** This house represents Christianity in some sort of way. I'm too sure how it does. I think it's just a Ministry House.* ** We now open the door, and we see two guys enter a room across the hall. It's more than obvious the two are a gay couple. That's disturbing... ** I quickly shut the door before we have to witness anything else. Thank God... ** It doesn't make sense to me though. How can you be gay and Christian? One should cancel out the other. It'd only make sense if the two were to become straight and repent later in life.* ** I point this out to Zaine and his friend, who're also confused. The concept doesn't make any sense. Oh well, it's not something to think on and on about forever is it? ** After sitting around for awhile, we decide to leave. I crack the door open and look out. The two men have left their door slightly open. I look the opposite way as I make my way out. I'm lucky they weren't doing anything.* ** My walk out of the Ministry House is very vivid. I don't recall the hallways or doors I went through to get out.* ** Our present state is in a field that I could see from the room window. It was across the street next to a brick building. If I recall correctly, the border lines are blue bricks and inside are white bricks. I can't recall the walk to here either.* ** Everything is starting to come together now. All of these things are too suspicious and bizarre. When did I move into a Ministry House? There aren't any gay people in the Ministry I'm in(I'm pretty sure anyway...). Zaine and his friend aren't in the Ministry. This is all just a dream! ** I am now lucid. My first lucid in awhile in fact. This lightens me greatly. I don't recall my current goal though. The TOTY. I was to do the 1970s task. Go to New York 1973, go to the now new and finished Twin Towers, jump off one of them, and live. Hell, when the time comes though, I'll jump off both for the thrill!* ** The dream is far too vivid. I can't recall the task at all. So, I decide to leave some foolish DCs shitless. I bet Zaine and his friend(I forget if I bet him too or not) $100 that I can fly on my first try(rhymes!). They(or he, still kinda shaky on it) take the bet.* ** "Fools." I mutter under my breath. I now take myself a good distance back. Zaine and his friend appear to be on the verge of laughter.* ** I now take a running start. I jump up into the air, but I don't fall down. I keep moving up. I stop myself in midair. I see Zaine and his friend's faces of amazement, shock, astonishment, etc.* ** However, after this point the dream begins to fade, an is soon gone. I now awake from the dream.*
Last night I had a lot of beers. I got home pretty drunk and didn't expect to remember any dreams tonight. I tried to meditate, but it was no use at all. I woke up in the morning, but I didn't have to get out of bed yet. I decided to snooze for a bit, fell asleep and got the following two dreams: Dream one I was riding a bicycle and for some reason knew that I was dreaming. I forgot why and it never happened to me before, so I was quite surprised. I did a RC by pinching my nose and it worked! I was actually dreaming! (This is the first lucid dream I can actually remember having in detail) I was supposed to take a right turn, but I was lucid now so I could do anything. I noticed a brand spanking new Porsche on the side of the road and decided to take it. When I entered the car, the owner came up to me to cause trouble. I tried to dismiss him by telling him to go away. It didn't work, I guess I don't have full control yet. The owner tells me 'I'm a figment of his imagination', obviously something I've read here. I don't care about him and drive away. Immediately there are police cars everywhere. Awesome. I wasn't sure if they were after me, but it didn't really matter to me. I drove pretty fast although I didn't pay any attention to other traffic. At this point I thought I maybe had to stabilize the dream by using all my senses. So I started to feel the textures of the car. And that's all I remember. The dream probably stopped there. Dream two I was lying in bed in the same room I fell asleep in. But it was pretty obvious that I was dreaming. The bed was bigger, the room had a bigger window, the sheets were softer and it was very very bright. I did the nose pinch RC to confirm I was dreaming, it worked. I looked outside the window and noticed something floating through the air. It was some kind of receipt, floating on the wind. It looked very real and made me think that I was watching some 3D movie or something. I don't know why. The receipt floated through my window and into the room. It looked very peaceful and relaxing. This was a very vivid dream. Too bad that I was alone in this bed. I tried to imagine another person with me to share the experience with, and it partially worked. But I guess it was too strong, because as soon as it started to work, my dream was over.
I have decided to try to use my dream material for writing a few books, so I've stopped publishing most of the stuff online. I might just share a few short bits of some of my serial dreams... we'll see. non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid false awakening Last time I was on my mission to retrieve Manjushri sword, I escaped the villains and ended up on top of a snpwy mountain with a snowboard to go downhill. On this dream I went back to that mountain top, grabbed the snowboard and down I went. The hill was quite steep, so the feeling was intense (I never snowboarded in waking life) and exhilarating. Almost at the end of hill, I was surprised by a tunnel and had no time to avoid it, so I went through it. I expectied to come out on the other side in a few seconds, but the tunnel revealed to be quite long and bumpy. The snow beneath my board melted with the friction and the tunnel became like a waterslide. My speed increased even further and the adrenaline rush spiked. I finally saw a light at the end of the tunnel and literally was ejected from the tunnel into some kind of internal patio of an industrial building. The patio was surrounded by big windows in old glass framed in steel and the roof was also made of glass, like a greenhouse. There was a large ramp in the center, sided by strange looking machines, like engines, but everything was stopped and silent. At the top of the ramp I entered a corridor that encircled the patio on the above floor. There were doors with windows to what seemed to be several labs with chemistry equipment. I finally found a door to a back alley which was open and got out of the building. There was a plaque with the name of the company and I recognized it as one of the biggest chemical multinationals in the world. I wondered why the hell I ended up there and what I was supposed to do there. Then I remembered I was carrying Manjushri's sword, in the form of an orb I had placed inside my shirt, against my bosom, to keep it safe during my snowboard ride. I held it on my right hand and the orb started to shift shape to form the handle of a sword. Once I had a strong grip of the handle, the blade started to appear. It was beautifully adorned and soon after it lit up in flames. I was mesmerized looking at it and afraid of abusing its power, but at the same time I felt I had the obligation to put it to good use on that place. This sword is able to cut through the veil of ignorance and illuminate the minds. So I pointed it at the factory building and wished that all the polution and destruction caused by that industry stop. Wished that the directors and the shareholders of that company stop thinking about profit and start thinking about bringing something positive to people's lives and use their resources to make only sustainable and green products. I felt a bit silly for thinking such a sword would apply its power into such naïve intentions, but it did. The flames grew and flew and wrapped up the entire building, in a magical ritual of purification and as it seemed to consume the whole building into ashes, it also vanished leaving the building without a single burn. I was still mesmerized, when I heard a guard screaming at me as he ran towards me, from my right side on that alley. I ran to my left.

DreamLucidAwake Many of the dreams I've had recently were too boring for me to remember except this one. Stopping the Dragon I had a low level of lucidity for most of the dream. It was the middle of the night and I was standing in a large grassy field again. The night sky had many stars, but nothing particularly amazing. In the distance I could see a lake and some hills further away. To the left and right were two different castles that sat near the lake. I stood there and thought over which castle I wanted to explore. Then all of the sudden there was a sense of panic in the air. It felt like something dangerous like a battle was about to happen. So without thinking about which side I wanted to take, I made the long run to the castle on the left. As I approached the gate I could see a few men setting up siege equipment in a tower. Looking through the metal bars of the gate I could see many people running around in chaos. "Hey you! Stop!" Said one of the soldiers in the tower. "Are you a Draflam?" The second guard asked. "What the hell is a Draflam?" I responded. A fireball hit the tower hard before one of the guards said, "Get inside quickly!" The gate in front of me soon opened and I ran inside. I was constantly being pushed and shoved by the panicking citizens and the soldiers moving to position. The ground and walls of the castle shook a few times after each blast. I'm not even sure where these explosions where coming from. I eventually made it to a group of soldiers near a spiral staircase. Before I could even say anything I heard one final explosion from around the corner. I saw soldiers and debris fly against the other wall during the explosion. The next thing I know all of the soldiers are yelling about a dragon. They managed to tie a black rope around the dragon that extended around the corner to where I'm at. I'm guessing the point of this was to make sure the dragon couldn't fly away and cause more trouble. I grabbed the rope and helped them pull against the dragons strength. Then I saw a familiar face to my side. It was a man that reminded me a lot of the squire and dragon tamer from previous dreams. "You there!" He said pointing to me. "What are you doing here?" I asked him? "Outsider, who are you? Are you Aranian or one of those Draflams?" He asked me. "I'm a Dragonborn." Was the only way I could think to respond. "Outsider, you are not welcome here!" He said starting to become angry with me. "Please, just let me help your people." I said desperately. "Very well then." He said overlooking the situation. "Quick, give me your match." I requested. He tossed a box of matches to me and I suddenly had an idea. The rope was black and reminded me of a fuse. So I struck a match and lit the rope on fire. The soldiers down the line quickly started moving away as they noticed the fire. Once the fire moved around the corner I realized we only had about 5 seconds left. "Everyone get down now!" I yelled. All of the soldiers soon started running away from the area and taking cover. Me and the squire moved ducked down behind the stone staircase. Right as we ducked down a huge explosion was heard and felt from where the dragon was. I soon got back up off the floor covered in dust and debris. As everyone stood up they started to cheer at the defeat of the dragon. I was happy for a moment until I realized something the others didn't. Although I didn't see it, I could feel that the dragon was only wounded by the explosion and it had just retreated. I also realized that the other castle was still attacking us. I ran up the spiral staircase that led to the castle walls. From there I could see an army approaching from the other side of the lake. Soon there were arrows and fireballs flying at us. I ran into the tower near the gate to help out the soldiers who helped me. Sadly the dream skips here and I can't remember what happened with them. I was now sitting on the couch in my grandmother's living room. I had memories from earlier in the dream, but I wasn't lucid. I remembered that we had won the battle, but I had only wounded the dragon. I became nervous and worried that the dragon could come back any moment and attack. I looked out the window and it was pitch black. That made me even more nervous because the dragon could be right outside and I wouldn't know it. I walked into the dining room and saw a few family members sitting at the table talking. I ignored them and looked at the window behind them. It was too dark to see out that window too. "Speak of the devil! How are ya?" My uncle spoke to me. "Jolly, just jolly!" I said nervously looking through another dark window. "That's good. Hey you look a bit worried. Is something wrong?" "Nope..." I said and walked back to the living room. I then sat on the couch and fell asleep. Next thing I know it's the middle of the day and I'm sitting in a tree in my backyard. Everything looked normal except there was a stone tower growing out of the back of my house. In the distance you could also see castle walls that surrounded the villages in the kingdom. I was sitting there telling my story a group of people below the tree. I just wrote my story though, so I'll skip to the end. I explained to them that the dragon was still alive, and I knew it would come back and attack the top of that tower. So I told them how I was going to go to the top to fight it, but they all walked away nervously. There was one person though that didn't walk away though. As soon as I saw her I became lucid. It was the same elf in the red dress from the "Dragonborn Magic" and "Healing Potion Quest" dreams. She raised her hands in a way that I knew she was about to cast a lightning spell at me. I slowed down time and jumped off of the tree branch. I just barely dodge the lightning bolt. I immediately started running to the backdoor of my house/tower. To make things more confusing, when I entered the building it looked more like a lab or hospital. There were a few sets of stairs that I didn't have time to climb. I jumped over the railing to the top and looked back. I saw the door slam open and heard foot steps. I couldn't see anyone though. "Oh crap! She knows an invisibility spell!" I said and started running again. As I ran down the hallway of the hospital I remembered my magic. I took in a deep breath, turned around, and let out a powerful roar. It knocked her hard off her feet and disabled her invisibility spell. I ran towards her and jumped up in the air to kick her. She grabbed my foot though and threw me into one of the rooms to the right. I got up and went back into the hallway. I took in another deep breath and prepared for a roar. She started moving between rooms very quickly so I couldn't get a good aim on her. Then suddenly I realized that I really need to breath. So I let out my roar down the hall without hitting anything. The elf then came out of nowhere and knocked me to the ground. She was now on top of me and was about to blast me with a spell. I managed to let out one quick weak roar though. It made her stumble back against the other wall. I continued to let out a series of quick roars to keep her pinned. I started to think about how I was only taking short quick breaths for a moment. I woke up shortly after realizing it probably wasn't healthy. End I wonder how things would have turned out if I did get to fight the dragon a second time. I also thought that elf died before after I tried to help her. Now she is trying to kill us again. Whose side is she on?
I was up here, but not up here. It was different. The house was big and lovely with hardwood floors, the bottom floor had a front door that led to a staircase, and off to the right there was a dining room and a living room, around the side of the stairs there was a long thin den with a back door, to the left of the stairs there was an enclosed kitchen. Up the stairs there was a platform with another set of stairs (that could be seen from entrance) that my mom used as art space. The other set of stairs led to bedrooms. The creature that claimed to be my mother, with her black hair in a chin length bob. She was trying to construct nesting materials and an area for the birds -- the house wasn't isolated anymore, you could see a highway and strip mall out the window, and the birds were gone. That's what made me go lucid, the view out her bedroom window. I knew then that she wasn't really my mom. She was some kind of odd dream creature impersonating a mother, perhaps with the intent to disturb me later with her behavior. She really did seem genuine and sad. She fed a pack of stray dogs that came to the window. I played along, as despite my lucidity, I felt bad for the dream creature -- it was as if she was impersonating a mother because she wanted to be one and couldn't, and I felt somehow obliged to hang around with her for awhile. I decided to just spend some time in a low state of energy letting the dream wash over me, as it would allow me to experience the dream from a lucid perspective for longer. She did try to disturb me, as I expected -- inviting me to see the basement and attic (where presumably unpleasantness lay, I turned it down) and at one point growing a giant, cartoonish penis and trying to rub it on me. Her efforts seemed so cursory and cliche, it was more depressing than disturbing -- even if I were unaware that I was dreaming I am not sure that it would have done anything but wake me. I said that to her when she grew the dick, I said that I knew what she was, and she evoked no family. She seemed frightened, though not necessarily of me (perhaps of failure) and pressed on, thinly acting like she didn't understand, and I allowed her to have sex with me for a bit, as she seemed very uncomfortable. I had no real feelings about it, except feeling bad for the creature. When I pulled away, the penis was gone. She went to the window and seemed anxious and upset. I walked back into the den and opened the back door. A weird cartoon was playing, I tried to focus on the lyrics to the theme song but while they had the "feeling" of being words, I got to directly experience the dream-disconnect between what seems normal at a distance (words to a song) and what, when closely examined, either is nonsense or defies examination entirely. This was the latter. No matter how I tried, it seemed I could not possibly focus on it. I had tried hard enough to resolve it into something that made sense that I felt the dream start to fade a bit. I didn't want to get pulled out without doing something fun, so I slid open the glass door at the back of the house and walked a few steps down the yard -- which ended abruptly in a cliff, probably because I had already decided my intention upon going outside. I flew (with slight difficulty, as I was trying not to get too excited and wake up) over a small town and toward the sea. I knew I couldn't stop the dream fading, but I got far enough to smell the sea air and feel the breeze from the ocean. It was relaxing and refreshing. I "went quietly," allowing myself to be woken. Upon waking I was calm.
I am in the city centre. I'm crossing a drive when the street light turns red. I have to stop and wait. A former teacher of mine is also waiting there. He says to me that his lesson is about to begin. The light turns into green. We cross the drive. At some point I hop into a car. A friend of mine is driving. The car is very small. After some time I get on top of the car and start shouting instructions at him ("You don't drive like that!", "Don't stop here!"). I even push the car at some point. For some reason very familiar blocks seem scary. Finally my friend drives into a car park. There is a block of flats. My friend calls to a friend of his that lives in the building. They are having a party. My friend has been invited and he asks his friend if he could bring friends with him. He talks about something like three friends even though there's just me. His friend says that there would be too many people at the party then. I look at my watch. It's 19.10. I remember that I should have been at my piano lesson (which would mean that it's monday). Then I become lucid. I go to the apartment where the party is. There I decide to to one of the TotYs. I decide to do the one where you have to take a picture with that old camera. I decide to leap through the window into the 1900s, but when I'm about to jump I decide to do the one where you have to watch tv. My brother and his friend are playing Play Station on a modern television. I decide to turn that into an older one. "Look at what I'm doing!" I say to them. I point at the television very dramatically and say TADAM. A shock wave from the television throws me back and I wake up.
Nonlucid, Lucid, Partially lucid October 11, 2011 I put a large lawnmower on top of some people in a convertible. The lawnmower is not turned on. They push it over and off of them. I begin to fly away. The people have turned into a young (pre-teen) boy, who says he is going to throw gravel at me. I tell him that the gravel is made of foam. The kids yells "You shit doodles!" So I take him literally and I poop out drawings. Then I have a wedgie. Now I am in some kind of business building. I say aloud that I need to go to the bathroom "to take care of this." I go into a restroom. Two of the walls are windows through which I can see the receptionist desk.
Nonlucid, Lucid, Partially lucid October 3, 2011 As I return to sleep I immediately enter a conscious dream. I am in a house and I walk through a wall or maybe a window, like a ghost. Then I go through a screen door. I can feel the metal screen on my skin as a move my body through it. I land in grass, barefoot. Then the dream fades and I wake up. Pretty short. But it was an interesting sensation.
11.07.2009Lucid in the Country (EILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I had gone to sleep with Pheonlelai's Lucid_3.3.mp3 - (see this thread) on a five hour delay with earbuds in, it had started playing (it woke me up at first, I reduced the volume and went back to sleep) so I count this as an EILD... ...I am walking along a path in English countryside when suddenly I know I am dreaming. It is a beautiful sunny day. The first thing I do is say to myself "I am dreaming". I have a firm realisation of how important it is to stabilise and increase the lucidity. I look around, taking in the scenery without focusing on anything in particular but just being present. I rub my hands together and roll my shoulders - getting a feel for the dream-body, all the time walking along. I am impressed by how detailed and realistic everything is. I make an effort to use this experience to remember that doing RC's by simply checking realism is a waste of time. I walk some more, just enjoying the sensation of being in a dream and trying to discover just how lucid I can be. I feel the lucidity weakening so I begin to repeat to myself "I am lucid dreaming" and saying my name. I decide to actually do something with this dream now, so I decide to meet a particular person I know from IWL and I wonder how I am going to do this. There is a grit box near the farm-track I am walking along and I open it with the expectation that they will be hiding inside waiting for me, however it is empty. I think that this is not really surprising (I mean, how realistic is that?) I feel lucidity weakening again so I walk some more appreciating the detail of the countryside, trees and clouds and stuff, and repeating "I am lucid dreaming, this is me enjoying a lucid dream" and so-on. It is worth mentioning that around this point I begin to be in two dreams at the same time, the non-lucid dream is taking place in some kind of school or college. I think this may be the beginnings of some kind of dream transition - it sort of feels as if this other non-lucid dream has been going on anyway but without me being aware of it, I assert myself in the lucid dream and for a moment or two I can see into the other dream from my position in the lucid dream with extreme clarity, but then I let it go and it fades I decide to continue my mission to meet this person. I remember reading on DV that someone drew a door in the air and walked through to somewhere else. I draw a rectangle in the air with my finger, which appears as if drawn on glass with a grey wax crayon. I think it is a bit too narrow to walk through but this is a dream and I will manage. I give the drawn-in-air rectangle a sturdy thump and it pings out of it's hole like a cut piece of glass (like that bit in the film Hancock where he cuts a hole in the visitors barrier in prison and flicks it out). However, the new 'doorway' just leads through to the path ahead I can see anyway, as if a normal glass doorway had appeared in mid air rather than a portal to somewhere else where my friend is. I think "I am going to have to do this differently", however I am starting to lose lucidity really quickly now. I can't stay in the dream and I wake up.

last night I had a lucid dream about waking up late for school and having to call my friend for a ride. he came and got me only to find that we were far from late to school and we went back to his house. once we got there we started to get into some heavey petting and we ended up having sex. the whole time this was happeing I was telling myself not to do this because I had a boyfriend struggling to snap outof the dream but the dream took its full course and I didn't wake until I had gotten a phone call from this very friend. I hope that I post this correctly sense this is my first DJ.
Longest. Dream. Ever. So vivid, so much detail, and much more dialogue than I normally have in my dreams. The whole thing must've lasted 10-15 minutes (in dream time) I was in a very large city, what I assumed was Tokyo at the time on some sort of school trip. I was on a pathway with some friends and we were walking towards a large deck/patio area that was overlooking a river and the city. When we got to the deck I looked up in the sky and saw the moon was much larger than usual. It seemed to be growing too. I squinted a little bit to try and see it better, and I noticed it was hurtling at us! I didn't move (don't know if I couldn't or just didn't) and just stood there. Nobody else seemed to be paying any attention and I didn't say anything, I just started at the moon flying at us. It crashed into the city beyond the river and there was a huge explosion with massive amounts of debris flying everywhere. The next thing I knew I was standing on the pathway again, like nothing had ever happened. I looked around, and noticed it was just like before. I didn't really think anything of it and continued to walk with my friends towards the deck again. When we got there I asked my friend Tyler about what happened. He said, "What are you talking about? Nothing happened, and the moon difinitely didn't fall out of the sky. Look," he pointed up, "it's right there." I looked up where he was pointing and sure enough there was the moon, siting in the sky, certainly not hurtling towards us. I found this very odd, and started to quesiton things. I figured I might as well to a RC. I plugged my nose, tried to breath in and it worked! I was in a dream, the third one in a row I imediately felt the dream start to fade and quickly started to rub my hands together to no success. I decided to try spinning to prolong the dream and kept spinning around and around. I didn't want to open my eyes, thinking that I would wake up, but after I had spun for about 30 seconds and wasn't lying down, I figured I could stop and I would be alright. I opened my eyes and I was still on the deck, but nobody was there. I thought of what to do, and I immediately thought of the TotY. The first one that came to mind was the first camera, but I didn't really feel like doing that one for some reason. Instead, I decided to survive the hindenburg disaster. I pictured the large baloon floating over an airfield (like I remember seeing in old videos) and snapped my fingers, thinking to myself, "take me there." In a flash I was inside a small room, what looked like a cockpit. There were two people in the room with me and I noticed they had modern pilot uniforms on. I didn't think much of it and leaned over them to look out the window. I proceeded to accidently knock over one of their coffees, "Hey! Watch it!" he yelled. I back away quickly, surprised at his sudden activity. I noticed that the cup was full, and it had gotten all over the controls. A few sparks appeared and I started to get nervous, as did the pilots. I rubbed my hands some more, making sure I had a good hold on the dream. I had a feeling this would be the cause of the crash, and I was right. The blimp immediately started diving forward, and the pilots pulled back on the controls as hard as they could, trying to get the blimp to rise. I could hear passengers screaming in the back when a flight attendant came in. "What's going on!? Why are we falling out of the sky!?" She sounded surprisingly calm for being in an aircraft that was about to crash. "This dumbass spilled coffee all over the controls!" One of them yelled. I backed away a little bit and put my arms up like I was innocent, "It was an accident! I didn't mean to!" I claimed. Then, one of the pilots must've had a light bulb go off over his head, because in an instant, he shouted, "Wait! I have an idea!" He then took his coffee, and poured it all over the controls! "What the hell are you doing!?" I demanded. "Just wait," he replied. After only a few seconds, we levelled out, and were at a safe trajectory again. "What the... how did you know that would work?" I asked. "We are in a dream, you know." He replied, quite sarcastically. I shrugged it off and walked back into the main room where all the passengers were. Then I noticed a guy with a cigarette in his mouth and some matches in his hand. "NO!! Don't do that!" I yelled, but it was too late. He struck the match and the entire vessel instantly burst into flames. There was tons of flames in the passenger area and I ran back into the cockpit where there wasn't any fire yet. "What the hell was that!?" One of the pilots demanded. "Some idiot just lit a match and now the entire things burst into flames!" I replied. "Then light another match! You know, dreams?" It did make sense, given that he fixed the earlier problem by pouring more coffee onto it. I went back into the other room with the other passengers who were all freaking out. This time it was actually very hot and I started to sweat. I felt like I just ran a marathon and got thrown into a sauna, minus the steam. I pulled a matchbook out of my back pocket (no idea how they got there). To my dismay, as I opened them they immediately burst into flames from the already roaring fire. I guess that plan's out . I went back into the cockpit where it was starting to get warm, but there still weren't flames. "So? Did it work?" The same pilot asked. "Not exactly..." I replied, "they burst into flames before I could light them." "Damn," he said, obviously discouraged, "that was our only plan. Well, I guess there's nothing left to do but sit back and enjoy death." Jeez, that seemed a little dark. "Doesn't really matter to me," I said calmly, "I just need to ride this out so I can finish the TotY." It was true after all, if I had saved the blimp then I would've failed my task. "That is such a dreamer's additude." The other pilot added in. "How do you know I'm dreaming?" I asked. "Duh," he said sarcastically, "I'm part of your subconscious. You know, your brain? I know everything you know, and things you don't know you know." "Like what?" I asked, equally sarcastic. "Now then," he said, "this is no place to have an intelectual discussion. We're all-most of us are going to die here." Damn... I actually felt like a douche, but he was right, we're about to crash. "Can you just answer me one quesiton?" I asked. "Yes. There, I answered your quesiton, now shut up so I can enjoy my death." He replied. Jeez, my subconscious is even more sarcastic than I am. "Thats not what I meant. I want to ask you where my dream guide is. I've always wondered who/what it is but never found him/her/it." It was true, I was very curious about who my DG was. "Don't you see? It's right in front of you, it's-" At this point the blimp finally crashed into the ground. The force threw me forward into the windshield, but it didn't break. Ow... The cockpit I was in finally caught on fire, and it was even hotter than the other room. I could feel my skin starting to melt, but it didn't hurt, just uncomfortable, like when you get a moderate cramp, only it was all over my body. I wanted to get out. Now. I pushed my way through the burning wreckage and punched out the window. I could barely squeeze through but there was a small openeing right on the ground about 2 feet high. I crawled out and walked into the bright sun. I turned around at the hindenburg and it was only a shell of what was once the greatest airship ever. I must've been the only one out. It wasn't until a few seconds later when a man ran over to me with a fire extinguisher in his hands that I noticed I was still on fire. I told him to back off because i wanted to try something. I did another small energy burst (See two dreams ago) and the fire pretty much evaporated. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Yeah I'm fine, but do you know if the pilot made it out?" I wanted to know what he was about to say and if he was really going to tell me who my DG was. "You're the only one who I've seen come out. Come on, you look terrible." I looked down into a puddle of water and noticed that all my hair had been singed off and my skin was black aroudn my face. I looked down and my arms and noticed my shirt was gone, but my pants were still there (thank god). I walked over to the bleachers where the crowd had been watching the blimp fly around and sat down on the first one. I looked back at the blimp again and noticed that it was just a pile of charred rubble. Then, I noticed a figure walking away. It was the pilot! Unfortunately, it wasn't the one who I had been talking to, but the other one who had just sat there silent the entire time. I ran up to him and noticed he had a disappointed look on his face, almost angry. Right as I got close to him he spun around and kicked me right in the side of my head! It was a damn hard hit and pushed me about 20 feet off to the side but I managed to stay on my feet. "What the hell was that for!?" I yelled at him. "Thats what you get for being yet another arrogant son of a bitch to come into this dream." Wow, he was angry! "What the hell do you mean?" I demanded. I was seriously confused. Was I really being that much of a jerk? "Back there, in the blimp, when you said 'Doesn't really matter to me, I just need to ride this out so I can finish the TotY.'" In a mocking tone like you would when you repeat what someone says to point out the obvious. "That is one of the cockiest things I've ever heard." (Looking back, he did kind of have a point) "What are you talking about? It's my dream, and besides, you're just a figment of my imagination. A projection of my subconscious to simulate the waking world." "Oh, but I'm much more than that. Yes, I am a projection of your-" he cleared his throat, "-our subconscious, but that doesn't mean I'm not real. In here, what you see is all real. What was that one thing you always said? 'Perception is reality?' Well, you were right. And, even though you may think you perceive thise to be just a dream, to me, to your subconscious, we perceive this as complete reality." Wow, this is getting really serious! This stuff is insane . "That may be," I said, slowly, "but you're still a part of me, and if I perceive this to be a dream, then it is a dream." "You're right," he said. He actually sounded like he just thought realized something. "This is a dream, but who's to say dream aren't reality? This is all real. Right now, your brain is still sending signals to your body and itself. Your heart is beating in here, as well as in your physical body, lying in your bed. What you're seeing, hearing, feeling. What you're smelling and even tasting, is all going into your memory. Saying this dream isn't real is like saying memories aren't real. You remember going snowboarding last night, right?" (I did go snowboarding last night) "That was real, wasn't it? But all it is now is just a memory, and soon, this will just be a memory. Saying this dream isn't real is like saying everything that has ever happened isn't real, and who are you to say what is and isn't reality?" (I maye have left some parts out, but this is about 95% accurate) "And now..." He said, "I think it's time I put you in your place." He charged at me, incredibly fast. "Wait wait wait, hold on a sec-" *SMACK!* I felt a huge sharp pain in my ribs. Everything started to go blurry, and I struggled to raise my hands together. I started to rub them and focus on the warmth and feeling, "Uh-uh," he yelled, "You're not stabalizing that easily! I'll make you wake yourself up!" At this point i was on my knees, trying to regain my breath, when suddenly my neck snapped back. He had kicked me square in the jaw. But then it hit me: it's not about rubbing your hands together, it's about focusing on your senses and how it feels to do so. "No, you're the one who's wrong," I squeezed out. "You see, the more you hit me, the more pain I feel, and the more senses I have to anchor myself to this "alternate reality" you say we are in." I focused on my chest, on my jaw, neck, and even the burns from the crash. The more I thought about it, the more it hurt, but the more vivid the dream became. "Ah, but I can see it on your face," he snickered. "The more you focus on the pain, the stronger it becomes." Spot on, he hit the nail on the head. "But you forget," I told him, "I have nearly mastered dream control, and any pain I feel I can easily change. You know, the mind interprets pain and sex in the same area of itself. If sexual thoughts can be used to diminish pain in waking life, then why could it not work in the dream world? After all, it's all in your head." At this point I was back on my feet, and pictured the pain in my chest and jaw to pleasure in my "private area." It worked better than I thought. So well in fact I nearly ejaculated and could feel the dream fade just a tiny bit. I imagined a bit of the new pleasure as pain to even it out, and it worked perfectly. I had some minor discomfort in my chest, and some moderate pleasure "down there." "I see," he replied, "it looks as if it has worked. Well then, let the realy fire start!" I immediately yelled back, "You asked for it!" I flexed all the muscles in my right hands and formed a fireball about the size of a medicine ball. I lurched back and flew forward in an all out sprint. At this point time seemed to slow down 10 fold, so that one normal second took a good 10 seconds to happen. We were only about 50 feet away and I halved that distance in the blink of an eye, or about 3 seconds of slow-motion. I swung my arm around as hard as I could (8 years of baseball finally paying off) and aimed right for his head. Right as it left my hand he leaned to the left and I flew past him. I spun around so that my back was facing the ground and I could see his knee about to come up, going straight for my back. I arched my back as hard as I could and turned it into a back handspring. "Not bad," he said, "for a dreamer." For some reason, that pissed me off. I'm normally a very cool headed guy. In fact, whenever I play video games with friends they will always get pissed off and I'll have to tell them to calm down, while they're all screaming their heads off. But not this time. Without thinking, I formed another fireball and went after him again. This time though, I threw the fireball at him earlier, and followed through on the throw to turn it into a side flip, and rotated that into a chartweel type move, and pushed yet another fireball off each of my feet, on either side of him, so no matter which way he moved, he would get hit. However, he jumped straight into the air, about 100 feet, avoiding all three fireballs. "Quite the moves you got there," he said, "but you'll have to do better than that to beat me!" He dove down head first straight at the ground, fast enough to cause him to burst into flames like a meteor. Having just recovered from my little stunt, I saw him out of the corner of my eye smash into the ground. A huge crater formed and I was pushed back several hundred feet. He walked casually out of his crater and moved so fast he just appeared next to me in the blink of an eye. "Now, like I said before, It's time you learn your place!" I felt a massive force on the back of my head and I'm pretty sure I was forced into the ground. The force was so great that I woke up in my bead, heart going crazy, sweating like hell and completely disoriented. Wow. Now that was a dream. I'm starting to wonder whether or not that was my DG, and if what he said was really true. I quickly wrote down all the main points as well as the majority of the dialogue, but I had school again that morning and I had little time to actually get into detail. Nevertheless, I got part of the TotY done, had en epic fight, and possibly met my DG.

Colors of text and what they mean: Non-lucid Lucid Notes Comments (These were inspired by KingYoshi's DJ entries) Dream info: Lucid/Non-lucid: Lucid (lost lucidity at some point) Type of induction (if lucid): None (Aware from the start) Duration: 1/2 minutes Vividness: Not vivid Dream: I had this dream a long time ago, but decided to post it now. I was lazzy I'm lucid. I don't know how, I just am. I know my family is near me, so I ask my mother "Am I dreaming?" She says negative. For some reason, I ask her this several times (I probably asked others the same too, I can't remember) and always get "No." as an answer. I still know I'm lucid. I try to change the dreamscape. I close my eyes, and then open them. Doesn't work. I try it several times, but it was fruitless. "It's amazing how aware I am," I note to myself (Which is ironic, because I was far from being totally aware). I remember I always wanted to start a lucid in a car, so I tell my mother we should use it to go somewhere. "Sure," she answeres, and we go out of the building. I, trying to change the landscape for the last time, close my eyes and shut my ears with my palms, but there is too much noise. I am not concentrated and I can't do it. I try to calm everyone around me to no avail. (I believe I lost lucidity at this point, I just know how this continued) I was in a shopping mall, near a restaurant in it. I look to see where the plates should be (It's the kind of restaurant where you take a plate and move in the line to get food from several places) and instead, there are caldrons. I don't know if I took one, I just know I am in the line. While I don't see the person next to me, I know she is my online friend from Romania. She is taking some delicious meat. I decide I should take the same. I eat the meat and find it delicious (I felt taste, which is rare for me). This was probably the end of the dream. I wake up either then or a bit later, being very enthusiastic about having my first LD that lasted for more than a second!
Disturbed WILD (WILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Not sure if this is a WILD or DILD, but anyway I am classing it as a WILD because it arose from me attempting a WILD in conjunction with some binaurals using sbagen. Just the binaurals and pink noise - I have found that if I try to mix binaurals with waterfall or river or wave sounds I just dream about water, and the mixes with music and verbal suggestions just seem to nag me out of sleep. So I have begun experimenting.. Things got a bit hazy while entering the dream, I may have been properly asleep for a minute or two (hence it being a possible DILD) but anyway I am in a room with some people I know from IWL, there is some kind of party and we are expecting more people to turn up. It is getting dark very quickly, like someone is turning the brightness down. I think "it worked I am dreaming", and I know that I will have to stabilise the dream because it is getting really dark now the visual environment is nearly gone. I try to spin but this seems to speed up the waking process. I try to touch something in my dream and connect to the dream envronment but I become aware of my waking hand. I think - I am going to have to open my eyes and do a RC to check for FA - which I do using my watch. It seems I am awake, I try to DEILD, and it is going well, I am drifting through HI and I can feel that "dreamspace" around me, some dream begins to form around me which is some kind of wide open space, but then there is a loud noise which pulls me back to waking. I try to drift back to the dream space and am having some success but the noises continue (someone outside). It is very distracting and frustrating. I decide to wake properly and do WBTB.
Short DILD with some missed dreamsigns (DILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Was sharing a room with a one-armed man (left arm missing) like the guy from Twin Peaks(TV). For some reason I felt oppressed by him, but then he was prety weird. Anyway I was being polite. I remember that in a previous dream that led to this one I was involved in some major building construction/demolition (common in my dreams - a dreamsign but I missed it this time) I took some laundry to the laundrette and put it in the washer. My mother was there advising me about soap powder (another dreamsign I missed - she has been dead for years). While leaving the launderette I was walking very fast and I had to step aside to avoid a young woman coming the other way, I think this made me more aware. As I was walking down the street I started to pay attention to my footsteps - they were a bit lighter and longer than usual (another of my dreamsigns) - I checked them more closely and decided they were pretty normal and I was not dreaming but then I decided to try to extend them in a floaty way and it then became obvious that I was dreaming. I flew up into the air to prove it. I then proceeded to explore the dream world but I was not careful to increase lucidity and stabilise the dream, and after a short dream walk through some kind of festival I lost it and woke up.

06.01.2012 NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Dream 1: I didn't realize until later in the dream that I had both versions of Paper Mario. The original I bought for the virtual console shop for the Wii and the other for the Gamecube. I'm inside of a large store. It looks like a bookstore since I saw books all of the place, but they also sold used video games. I had a weird urge to buy Paper Mario, the one for the N64, but apparently it was on the Gamecube in the dream. The Used Games were on shelves and jumbled up near those huge containers where they would sell cheap old movies. I search the shelves first for it, and saw some weird titles. I saw "Okami" and another one too but it had some long name next to it for the Gamecube, versions of Avatar The Last Airbender etc. I find Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, but I was looking for Paper Mario. When I was looking for the game, I saw one familiar DC, let's call him William. He looked oddly familiar to the William I knew IRL that I had a few AP classes with for a while as a Junior and Senior in High School. He was looking around in the used game sections too and then randomly searched for books. He was looking at a book and just holding his thumb on the side to let the pages fly by quickly. I turn my attention back to finding Paper Mario, so I go to the area where all the cases were mixed with other used games in a container. I eventually find it, open the case, and there was no CD, just the instruction manual and some other booklets about game safety etc. I believe it cost $19.99, and for a game that cheap to have an instruction manual, it had to be the best used game I could get from the rest in the pile. I can't remember what I did after that. Dream 2: I'm in some library, and I'm paying attention to this dude who is Caucasian and has dirty blonde hair and he's with some girl that looks like another person I knew IRL. Let's nickname her "Yvon." (yeah you say it like Yeeee von) The guy who was with Yvon had his parents with him, and I was walking around for something, but I can't remember what. It seemed that I tried to get closer to her, but I wanted to avoid her at the same time because I was worried what the other dude would think about me looking at his girlfriend weirdly. So instead of coming in contact with the girl who is headed right to my direction, I go left and walk near the dude. He looks at me like anyone else would if someone comes close to them and them look away going back to whatever it is they're doing, and then I continue walking forward. (If you were me, you would be facing the screen and the girl is going the opposite direction; not that would matter of course, it just felt like an awkward dream because I think it was projection on how I'm usually afraid to look at a girl for too long if she's obviously with a partner. I'm not the type of guy to just look at women and try to piss off their boyfriends mind you, it's just another flaw I've realized about myself. I can't remember anything after I past the guy in the dream. Dream 3: This dream is weird, I'm still questioning if I'm really lucid or not, but I didn't have thoughts saying "Am I dreaming" or anything like that. It was sort of a second nature nonverbal questioning. I wake up and get off my bed, I think my father is giving me gifts that other people he knew sent to me. He gave some kind of gray vest with the words "Hollister" on it in white text, and some other random crap. Then out of no where he gives me a vibrator, like the one shaped like a bean. (I think this is just my subconscious of laughing at me here because I stopped using my Blackberry Curve's vibration app for an anchor for WILDs) I was kind of shocked because I didn't really have a need for it, and it seemed it was fit more for female use and male use. After he leaves, I believe I did a nose RC, I'm breathing through my nose, and continue doing so for a while, but I still questioned if my mind was playing tricks on me. (I don't know why I would questioned the fact that I breathed through my nose even though that's a clear sign that I'm dreaming, but I'll just think of it as being lucid for a while because the whole experience changes when I do realize I'm dreaming). (But if I knew I was dreaming, I knew I would've escaped this dream scene and head to some random area and ask my subconscious to create Eva from Metal Gear Solid 3 for me since I've met her a few times in prior dreams....eh whatever). The dream keeps changing into other events. One that I remember is a friend of my father coming and I greeted him, then it changes to where he's showing me something and asking if everything is all right with college I think. I say "Yes, I'm doing all right" like I normally do for every response in real life too. Next scene, there's a group of DCs laughing and talking with each other. Next scene, I'm with my mother and she's marveling on how close some school is compared to some other school. She asked me some random question, and I was annoyed by it because it was a petty question, but I responded, but I can't remember what. Then I see my father eating Fried Rice with Tortilla Chips (lol que??). That's all I remember for that one. Dream 4: I'm walking in a random room, and I see some object that looks like a deformed Jack-in-a-Box toy. I think it was talking to me and wanting me to smash it. I think I was jumping on an exercise ball when I smashed it. The ground starts to shake, and I'm wondering what the hell is going. To the right of me, there were mid-cooked pieces of chicken tenders inside a foil tray. And under that was some type of floor grill. Then I realize I wanted to cook the food, and also realized the ground shaking was just to turn on this oddly-placed grill. I quickly search for something with water in it (why would I choose water?? At least go for cooking oil or something) and then I slowly pour it inside the base of the grill, and it starts to boil faster. Then as I'm cooking the meat, Riley from "The Boondocks" is near me asking "Aren't you going to clean the grill?" or something like that. I don't turn my head to look at him, I knew it had to be him by his voice, and I was annoyed by him questioning my cooking. But I responded, "Yes I'll clean it after I wash the chicken again..." Then he was like "Okaaaay..." I knew he wanted to say something else, but I think he knew he was acting like a nosy bitch and stopped asking me irrelevant questions. All I remember for that one. Dream 5: A DC that looks like Leonardo Dicaprio apparently is trying to save a group of people who are prisoners in some kind of military base look alike. So he disguises himself as a Chef so that he can find a way to help them escape. I think he had to save a blonde lady, but I'm not sure if she wanted to be saved in the first place. The dream was like watching a trailer where they would pan over to the next scene, and some general looking dude was talking about how they will feed their prisoners with oxen because apparently it was the worse type of meat they could give them. (But the meat looked like cooked quail or really half-assed quality meat) I think the kitchen was above where the general was sitting talking to the rest of the guards. I think he questioned what is taking so long in there. Then for some reason I grab this huge chain of the meat and start offering them to random prisoners. After that, I put back the empty link that hooked the meat together, turn around, and see some DC that looks like he's helping Leonardo (but I didn't really seen Leonardo at the time) The new DC was eating some buttered toast, and there were more on the pan being grilled, and it looked pretty buttery to me that I wanted to grab one quickly and nomnomnomnomnomnonom all over it. I do so, and then the DC talks for a while and reveals that he was pretending to help Leonardo and is in fact a part of the General looking guy's posse. Then suddenly it's back to my perspective and run like hell to the nearest elevator. It closes pretty quickly thankfully, and then I realized I had to press buttons of course, so I start spamming down the button (I had to press the down button while inside the elevator to see the numbers go down instead of having all of them at once). I keep doing so until I pressed the lowest level possible. While I waited for the elevator to reach to the first floor, I was kind of worried of what would be out there. But it ends up being the exit to get out of the place. I tried to play it off like I'm part of the group, and I see a random DC near a desk, and said "Hi" to him. (it goes from military base to a corporate building when I leave the elevator) But I think he ignores me and he probably pressed the alert button hidden under the desk. There wasn't a lot of security in the area probably because most were meeting with the General looking guy. So I dash like hell to the exit, and I see a REALLY huge DC (probably 8-9 feet), and he was wearing a fancy black corporate attire with a white dress shirt and a tie. I think he was after me and I tried to avoid him, but he catches him I think. But then the dream restarts with me back at the first floor (kind of like in those games like Uncharted 3 where if you're running from someone and they catch you, you go back to the nearest checkpoint). So instead of running like a mad man outside, I hide behind some gray marble stones to avoid the big guy again. Once he passes, I run forward, and I think I said "Teleport!!!!!" or something like that. And I probably did. That's all I remember for that one.
