    1. The find

by , 06-28-2011 at 11:21 AM (The journey of JussiKala)
I was walking around the yard of my old neighborhood. It was a searing hot summer day. I walked to the end of the road surrounding the houses, and I saw two animals laying in the sun, unresponsive. They looked kinda like smaller, thinner beavers without the flat tail, instead they had a normal one. One of them was a grown up one, the other one was half the size. I assumed it was parent // child. I took the animals and put them in the shade. I viewed them for five minutes and left. A while later, I came back to the yard to see what was happening. Apparently, the two had reincarnated into new bodies. Still remaining the same species and having the same age diffrence between the two animals though. So I asked them to follow me, they were confused. (Apparently these were sapient animals, and could also talk) They asked me "Why?". I told them I had something important to tell them.

So I sat with them on one of the porches and explained to them what had happened. Apparently they were grateful. Somehow I just simply knew that these were the same animals. They were younger and had a light brown fur instead of a dark brown to black one, but they still were the same.

For what they were grateful, I don't know anymore. In the dream I suppose I knew the reason. But now that I'm awake, it's unclear. Did I ease their suffering? Did I save them from dying? (Obviously not). What were they grateful for?

    2. Deterioration

      by , 06-18-2011 at 09:12 PM (A Pierrot's Muse)
      Saturday 18th June 2011
I was sitting in my room in the university halls of residence with my sister. I suddenly felt blood seeping out of my nose and it gradually worsened.

I ran to the bathroom and let my nose bleed out into the sink; it showed no signs of stopping, so I gathered some tissue and held it to my nose. I took this chance to look into the mirror above the sink. My eyes were no longer their normal, dark green colour. They were an icy blue and it seemed to look like the colour was fading further.

It was then that I thought to myself "I'm dying."

      Car Journey
      Saturday 18th June 2011
It was late at night and I was gazing out of the car window to the starry sky as we drove along a motorway. I could only see a few stars in the sky, so my gaze fell back into the car.

However, I decided to look up again and the amount of stars multiplied and their light intensified.
It was then I realised that I was dreaming. I sat still for a moment to compose myself and looked out of the windscreen of the car. Suddenly, everything started to fade. However, I managed to stabilise my surroundings and readied myself to fly out of the window. I began to float, but I woke up.

    3. 100TH Dream Post! Drowning X2

by , 06-17-2011 at 06:37 PM (Hopeless Wanderings)
So I've been joined to DV for almost 3 years now(woohoo!) and I've finally reached the point of having 100 dream entries!(woohoo!) And this one just happens to be about dying.(woohoo!)
Well actually this isn't really my 100th dream since I sometimes post more than 1 dream in a post.. but its still awesome!

I was at this place.. I'm not sure it it was a waterpark or just a pool area. There were two pools, one was huge with tons of swimming lanes and it also was a large wave pool. Then there was the smaller one, made just to be a wave pool with smaller waves than the main pool. The main pool had a super tall diving board in the last lane and it was the deepest part of the pool, reaching about 40 feet down. I'm scared of deep water(in real life too) but I told myself that it was just water and nothing would go wrong, so I climbed up to the top of the tall diving board and did this awkward flip thing off. I went way down to the bottom of the pool and ended up touching the bottom, which freaked me out a bit, knowing how deep I was. I got disoriented and couldn't swim to the surface for some reason, so I just layed there at the bottom and was just dying there. I felt a tug and was dragged up to the surface by one of the female lifeguards, who lifted me out of the pool and put me on the side. I could still hear and see almost everything going on but was apparently unconscious. Every one of the lifeguards was going crazy getting everyone out of the pool because it was standard precedure during an emergency. I saw one of the lifeguards dive back into the deep end of the pool just to make sure there were no other people drowning. I felt someone pounding on my chest and I coughed up some water and "came back" but was still sort of out of it. I just layed there on the ground next to the pool as everyone was still freaking out, clearing the pool, and calling 911. This is when my memory gets fuzzy. I think the paramedics showed up and surrounded me but I don't remember being taken away because the next thing I know, I'm standing by the smaller wave pool, ready to jump in. (hmm.. what a brilliant idea-go in a wave pool right after you almost drowned in another) I thought to myself "it would be a lot harder to drown in this smaller wave pool," and went in. Well, those small waves were more powerful than I thought. I got caught up in one and it sent me backwards and threw me, head first, into the man-made "shore." And then it happened all over again. I was unconscious but could still hear and see, there were lifeguards going crazy, etc etc. So.. yea.. that was interesting.

    4. Kids these days....

by , 06-02-2011 at 10:54 PM (Flying Spaghetti Dreams)

so im in an airport minding my own business and i hear some commotion from somewhere. i look to see this kid (like 8 or 9) stealing the shoes (literally) off some helpless traveller. im shocked and i want to do something about it but the kid is getting away. hes already gotten outside but when he looks back into the airport through the glass walls i make eye contact with him and point to let him know this shit is unacceptable.

then (very much like last nights dream) shit hits the fan and i know this little gangster kid is going to beat the crap out of me. so...I RUN! another chase dream. so im running through this airport with this kid on my tail but my useless smoker lungs are holding me back and the kid catches up and he fucking stabbed me man! and it really hurt. up until now i had no idea how much real pain can be experienced in dreams.

at this point i black out and there some kind of game over screen. it looks like a close up of the metroid helmet (not sure if the image actually exists in the game, haven't actually played metroid) and i am re-spawned sitting on a bench in this strange stone maze. i can still feel the pain from the stabbing and i lift up my shirt to see three nasty looking stab wounds. touch them and become more and more aware of the pain in my internal organs.

i awake and still feel like ive just been stabbed and have to check my chest again hahahah

a while ago, i was killed. next to me lay a co-worker and a rodent, both dead. i couldn't open my eyes, but i could see everything in 360 degrees, i think. as i started rising up, i was slowly spinning and it would appear that time was speeding up really fast. i noticed the rodent twitch back to life and scurry off before all the plants and shit died, that freaked me the fuck out. it was dead as shit. it felt as if the higher i floated the faster i was spinning and the faster time was going. i felt i was reaching the end of the earth, i was far past the end of civilization for sure. Then i started smashing into my ceiling, but i couldn't see it, i could only feel it. This is when i realized i was dreaming and woke up. That's been lingering in my mind ever since. It;s been a few days and it's still quite clear.

note; the co-worker, i think, was probably Dwight Shrute. It was another sort of The Office spliced with Fallout 3 kind of dream, but we were in the office instead of the wastelands most of the dream. The paper work made sense at first, then it just all went to shit and i was all stressed. I think we stepped outside for some air when we were shot down or grenaded. i didn't see it coming, i just felt it and dropped.

    6. Dream of starving creatures

      by , 01-30-2011 at 02:32 AM
I was in a large open place, indoors but very big. It had people there and on one side as I walked, there were small creatures, starving. I didn't recognize most of them as children. They looked like animals around the size of dogs or cats, some were bigger, some smaller. They were all suffering. They were dying. Somehow, they were starving and could no longer move because of weakness, just on the edge of death. I kept wondering, "Can I help them in time?" In my hand I carried a bit of food, just a bit. It was some sort of meat. I begin to tear it into pieces. I came to the first creature and gave it a piece. It got stronger. I kept going to each creature in turn. They were stronger and begin to leave. Then, I got to the last 3 creatures. I recognized them. They were human babies. They could not eat meat. I knew this. I could only take one under my arm and had to leave. I found myself wondering about this large place. I think I was lost. Suddenly, I realized I had lost the infant. It had slipped away. I was frantic, retracing my steps. That ended the dream.
    7. Defending Akashic Records

      by , 01-14-2011 at 12:59 AM (Dreamjumper)

A beautiful woman lies naked on an ornate bed sprawled amongst numerous tall stacks of ancient books. I stand shirtless a few feet from the bed and place a few choice books on my shelf. Instead of having sex with the woman I turn away and collect the rest of the books on the bed so that I can return them to the library. Once I arrive at the library I see that it resembles the Akashic Records, which I’ve visited before. The entrance to the Records is spectacular, framed by epic pillars.

I head inside and replace the books and knowledge that I have borrowed and assimilated. I browse the aisles for a bit and stumble upon a specific dream character jerk that causes trouble within the library, and starts shit with random visitors like a bully. I walk by him and ignore him, but he steps in my path and scowls at me.

He tells me to never get in his face. Wanting nothing more than to put him in his place I step up to him and jab my finger at him and “get in his face.” This angers the jerk and we proceed to battle, first hand to hand grappling before it escalates into an epic old school sword fight. We slice and duel amongst the many rows of books throughout the library until I finally defeat him.

As I stand to walk away triumphantly, I realize that I have also been mortally wounded from the battle. I stumble over to the dying jerk I defeated in battle and say “See you in another life, yeah?” I shuffle back to the naked woman in bed, lie next to her, and wake up.
    8. Horsekillers of the Wild West

      by , 01-12-2011 at 10:39 PM (Dreamjumper)

A man plays an Old West guitar… or “gee-tar.” He plays alongside a small band in a typical run-of-the-mill saloon. Like everyone else in the building, they chew and wear chaps and cowboy hats. Dust covers everything. I am an outsider, (from the town, and literally outside of the saloon) riding my horse through this future ghost town. My horse suddenly collapses and I spill into the middle of the road. My horse is dead. I look around the road and town’s buildings and see countless other horses have died.

I look at my horse and watch it go through the entire decaying process in a matter of seconds. My horse is now just a skeleton. All of the other dead horses are also skeletons. I look on at all the dead horses, still in shock, holding the reigns of my skeleton horse… and tie it up to a post. I enter the saloon, the band still plays and I order me a drink to clear my head. A large cowpie jerk of a man starts shit with me and antagonizes me because I ain't from around here. Chaos ensues.

A large, full-scale old-fashioned wild west bar fight breaks out of epic proportions. All of the classic Western moves are there: man falling off balcony, the Madame’s girls screaming, some guys too drunk to fight; and on top of that adding a healthy dose of classic dream power: telekinesis. All the while the band never stops playing. Finally, at the climax of the fight, the song ends and I am left the last man standing. Exhausted, I am clobbered over the head by the singer/songwriter by his gee-tar, and he is deemed REAL last man standing.
    9. Bodysnatched

An alien invasion was unleashed upon the earth by the Grays. These aliens were specifically body snatchers and shape-shifters. They were manipulators of the highest ability, akin to the reptilians. The problem was that anybody could be one of the invading aliens. A lot of people also didn’t believe me, thinking that I was just being a conspiracy theorist. My closest friends in the dream were aware though, and a hefty portion of the dream was spent thinking a specific individual was an alien, but I was wrong.

The alien turned out to be masquerading as an ally of mine. We managed to ‘evade’ the other aliens by hiding in a forest… but it was all just a ruse for the shapeshifter to get me alone. When just the two of us stood in the forest, it transformed into its original alien form and tried to infest my body, to make me its next host. I ran, and tried to escape but no matter how fast or hard I tried, the alien was right on my heels. At this point, the stress and fear catapulted me into lucidity and I realized I was dreaming. I decided to stop and face my fears, so I stopped and turned to confront the alien. I told it that it couldn’t hurt me in this dream world. At this, the alien cocked its head and stabbed its hand deep into my chest (Mr. Smith a la the Matrix style). I could feel the alien drain my life force, as I started dying. My feelings were of failure and lost hope… as even though I stood up to a dream figure… I ‘died’
    10. Dead Teddy Bear

      by , 01-12-2011 at 12:16 AM (Dreamjumper)

I see a lone stuffed anthropomorphic Teddy Bear, complete with button eyes. It tries to talk to me but its mouth is just a seam stitched shut. In an attempt to talk, the bear forcibly rips its mouth-seam open. As soon as it manages to make a working mouth… the bear’s cotton guts spill out of it with such force that it turns the teddy bear inside out, leaving just a fluff of cotton. The cotton fluff morphs into a cloud that rains upon a single spot on the ground. Where the teddy bear once sat, the ground becomes fertile and single flower sprouts.

It is raining. I see the white silhouette of a door. I myself am a dark silhouette of a man in a trench coat and hat, running toward the rectangle of light. As I reach the door my trench coat billows and obscure the door’s light. From above and across my door was a larger double door painted black with a red symbol, similar to a cross (but with extra perpendicular t’s.)

These larger double doors open and nazi-like soliders, adorned in red and black, marched forward. I am in the rafters now, looking down upon the soldiers. I leap into the marchers below... my trench coat engulfing them. All the soldiers transformed into bats and flew away. I ran outside to see a beautiful woman standing in the rain. Our eyes catch for a fleeting moment. Clichéd loved at first sight. The raindrops morph into bullets as bullets rain about the woman, pelting her. I dove into the madness and extracted the woman to safety under the protection and cover of a ledge. The bullets are now drops of blood raining all around me as the woman dies in my arms. I stand, scream and tear both my coat and hat off, as well as my shirt. The sky rains bullets once more, and instead of lightning the clouds burst flashes of gunfire as I stepped out into the bullets, sacrificing myself. I die but my soul rises high and turns into a shooting star.
    12. Health Care Lesson From Tupac

      by , 01-07-2011 at 09:35 PM (Dreamjumper)
      Health Care Lesson From Tupac

I stood in a crowded bar, watching people, but without any type of drink. The energy was high and the dream characters seemed to be having a good time. The energy shifted drastically when Tupac Shakur arrived at the scene. All of a sudden Tupac pulled out two hand-held pistols and shot the place up. Now, I don't know if Tupac was there specifically to shoot me or to settle the score with someone else, nonetheless I had been caught in the crossfire. 7 bullets lodged into my body, as I felt the pressure twist me around. I felt each bullet inside of me. One in my chest just below the clavicle, one in my right bicep, two in the groin area of my inner thighs, one in my left leg in the quad, and a bullet went through each of my calves. I fell against the bar, and panic erupted in the bar.

I stumbled out of the bar, intent on living. I wasn't in pain as-so-much as shock. I wasn't afraid that I would just drop dead, I was mostly afraid that Tupac would exit the bar and finish the job. Bleeding, my only intent was to make my way to the nearest hospital as quickly as possible. Luckily, the hospital was only a dream block away. So I shuffled my way to the hospital, feeling every bullet in me as I walked.

I quickly arrived upon the hospital and shuffled into the ER lobby. I had bled profusely everywhere I went, but the receptionist didn't even seem to notice. She simply shoved a clipboard towards me and told me to have a seat and fill out some paperwork. I remember saying, incredulously, "Seriously!?" before accepting this and sitting down. I was uncomfortable because I was bleeding on the chair, the table next to me, the clipboard and the floor, and I didn't want to bleed on the other people in in the lobby.

So I stepped backoutside and leaned against the wall next to the automatic sliding doors of the hospital. I tried my best to fill out the paperwork, but I couldn't concentrate, I had lost too much blood and energy. That's when I grew dizzy from blood-loss and threw up on the exterior of the hospital's walls, before I woke up.
    13. 12/06/2010 - "Invasion Evasion"

      "Invasion Evasion"

(I watched Skyline, for the first time, last night. It was an 'ok' movie, but the visual effects were tight as hell.)
The earliest thing I remember was being in a camp-like atmosphere, with a few friends, in a trailer. Someone had a dog; like a lab mix or something, and I was playing with her, rubbing her belly. After a short while, the dog began to get really agitated and started glaring at the door. Some creepy shit happened, where a person came to the door and then turned into an alien, and we had to escape the trailer. I believe we pushed the creature into the bonfire and burned it, but this part is all really hazy. Soon after, I was alone, and running through the streets. The major attack had already begun, and there were larger aliens - dozens of stories tall - walking amongst the buildings and roadways. The city was completely destroyed and, no matter where I went or tried to hide, these things would always find me. The creatures that were too big to fit inside the buildings, would send out these long tentacles (like the ones in the movie), and snake them through the buildings to find me. I ended up dying, over and over, in this dream. Every time the tentacles would find me, they would either pull me back into the main body of the alien, or just splatter me all over the place, wherever I had been hiding.

After respawning a couple of times, I knew I had to get out of the city, so I began to make a bee-line toward the edge of town, sprinting as long and hard as my body would allow me - and I remember being able to run for miles, without losing steam. But these tentacles were relentless. An alien could shoot the tentacles from its "hand", and the rope-like appendages would literally travel for miles - seemingly to endless distances - through the air, to chase their target. Again, I died quite a few times, while trying to escape the city; simply respawning again at the beginning and continuing to run, taking another route. There were times that I would try to steal cars, and some of them would have this "gunk" on them. Whenever I drive those cars, the "gunk" would begin to spread around the outside of the vehicle, trying to 'cocoon' itself in this alien sludge. I would see this happening and have to bail out of the car, before it completely encased me. What's more, is that some of these droplets of "gunk" would actually spring to life, and form whole aliens - each maybe 10 feet tall and built like bipedal elephants - which would then join the chase. Running from these things kind of felt like maneuvering through the game Prototype.

It was like I was the only person in the city, and this entire alien force was centered on me, the whole time. There were just so many of them, and I was beginning to feel hopeless. After having to repeat this scenario, over and over, upon each death, I just wasn't feeling very confident that I would ever get out of this Hell. Suddenly, thankfully, just as despair was kicking in, I realized that this all had to be a dream. I was still on the run, though, as these things just weren't letting up, and anytime they would catch me, they would just annihilate me before I could do anything about it. Still respawning after each death, I took to flying, instead of running. It took me a little while to get up to speed, in my flying, as this dream was very vivid, and I was having a hard time manipulating it. I tried some telekinesis on the pursuing tentacles, but wasn't able to affect them.

Once I got the hang of flying, though, the flight/chase sequences were absolutely sick. The easiest way I knew to keep my speed up, was to imagine myself as a missile. The thing was, though, that these tentacles were just as fast, so just because I could fly, didn't mean that I was getting out of the city an easier. I was empowered by my lucidity, though, and was more having fun with it, than frantically fleeing for my life. I weaved through the city at breakneck speed, an expanding trail of tentacles, following closely behind me. It was one of those zigging, zagging, dizzying, high-tech chases that you would see in any major, sci-fi blockbuster - just screaming through the sky, with impossible agility. Sometimes I would land on the street, to gain my bearings - pivoting and then launching off in another direction, just as the tentacles whipped passed me and then arced around to follow once again. I remember being chased at just the same height of some of the tallest rooftops, and then dropping toward the ground, head first, to try to throw off the oncoming appendages. I was going so fast that there was a single moment, there, where I worried about 'what happens if I'm not able to pull up, in time?' Even though I knew that I was dreaming, I wasn't really looking to slamming headfirst, into the street, so I pulled up on my own trajectory, as I could, nearly skimming the ground and then continuing to rocket down the street, the tentacles still keeping pace at every twist and turn. I also recall that the aliens could talk, and they all spoke with the same voice - as if it were a collective consciousness - which reminded me something of the Joker, from The Dark Knight.

I don't really remember whether or not I ever made it out of the city. I don't think so, though.

    14. Elderly Pirate and Something About Being in the Army

      by , 11-28-2010 at 07:42 PM
i havent posted in a while because i havent had any dreams i could remember. today i had two, but could only remember part of the second one. sorry about this being all in lowercase, and for any typing errors... once again im in an ipod. im just too lazy to start my computer up.

the first one starts out as me being a pirate. apparantly im an old, retired pirate, and my hobby is collecting coins. im digging around in a shallow swamplike pond, grabbing at the shiny things i can see under the surface, lifting them up to look at them, then puttung them in a basket. the coins are all old ones, varying in size and shape. they dont look like anything ive seen before. im veey excited, because ive "hit the jackpot" and found a puddle with lots of coins in it. a pirate friend comes along, and is jealous that im finding all the good coins. i tell him that ice been looking for years for one certain coin, and i cant find it.

in the same dream, im not the pirate anymore, but a servant to a queen. she brought me into her bedroom and is showing me the wood floor, complaining about it always being wet. i notice she has a lot of crap on the floor thats getting wet, so i throw it onto her bed, and look at the floor. one side is completely dry, the other looks like a puddle. i guess she wants me to figure out whats leaking, so i look closely. i then notice that the puddle now looks more like left over mop water, like someone was mopping the floor there and it hadnt completely dried yet. i poinr it out to her. "see those streak marks?" "no, i cant see anything." i grab her and place her in the right light. she gets surprised, and tells me that the ghost of the elderly pirate must be making her floor wet, since he used to be the guy who swabbed the deck. i didnt know that he had died, so she explains to me how he died. the scene turns into a flashback, with the queen talking in the background, explaining what was going on.

the old pirate gave up in coin collecting and tried to tame water girrafes (girrafes that lived in water) and teach them tricks. every time he blew a whistle the girrafes would jump out of the water at the same time. for some readon, this was cruel, the girrafes plotted and tried to find a way to kill him. one time, when he blew his whistle, a panther jumped out of nowhere and killed him. just then his old friend came along and pulled a crayfish catchy thing out of the water. inside was the coin the old piratw was looking for his whole life. the friend showed it to the dead pirate, and he somehow smiled.

after that, i had a dream about being in the army. all i can remember is that they had to test you to make sure you were capable of being in the army by making you walk across a canyon on a thin beam of wood. i was afraid of falling, so i crawled across. the other army people said i was cheating, but the drill instructor was very impressed and commended me on thinking outside the box. then there was something about playing badminton and hunting impalas, but i dont really remember anything about it.

Didn't have the best lucid dream last night because I didn't complete the RC-MILD before falling asleep, but I did get some of it done, and so I went some lucid in return. It wasn't the best lucid dream I've ever had, but it was most definitely lucid.

I found myself walking down the aisle on an airplane with some other people that I had false memories of knowing for a long time, but actually had never seen them before. Suddenly, it hit me that I was seeing something, which I had just told myself meant I was dreaming. "I'm dreaming!" I said in a loud whisper to myself. The DC in front of me heard it, and turned around. "What?" he asked.

I decided to have some fun with the answer to that.

"Oh, I just was wondering...do you think I could do a flip right now without ever touching the floor?"

"Sure, why not? If you touched the ground it would be a roll and not a flip anyway."

"No, I mean like I won't jump or land."

The DC just looked at me funny, so I responded by levitating off the floor, running a few steps, flipping, and then landing on pure nothingness.

"Woah dude, that's awesome!" The DC said.

"And now..." I said, "What if I did this?"

I caused the airplane's lights to dim and disco balls and strobe lights and other fancy colored lights to start shining. And then, still just in the middle of the air on the aisle of this airplane, I started break dancing. I did all kinds of cool stuff, but lost lucidity before long and the dream just went back to normal.

From then on, the dream was about me and the other DC's being shipped to some imprisonment on the airplane, but we managed to break out and find our way through the maze of a facility to finally get back to the plane and commandeer it to get out of there. It was a very interesting dream to go through with lots of details in characters and in the facility as a maze, but unfortunately I don't remember all the details of the deep plot.

Then something really odd happened. I don't yet have a text color for it so I'll just use orange. Everything went black once that dream ended, and then I felt myself waking up. I look at the ceiling above me, see what time it is, and then roll over--only to stare myself in the face. Yes, before me I saw none other than me lying down on the bed, still apparently asleep. But this was ultra realistic--I'm serious, this didn't feel like a dream. I reached down and touched my hair with an arm that I could feel very clearly, but not see. Felt like it should. I noticed my chin and realized that I had forgotten to shave. Then my eyelids shot open for a brief moment, and my vision faltered, my 'body' being sucked down towards my body. But things came back just for a moment, and I was thinking about seeing where I could go and what I could do in this state when I heard a voice. It said to me: "You have to go back. It's not your time yet." And then as I saw my eyes open I was sucked down into my body completely.

I sat up for a minute and found everything to be accurate as I had seen it. I had forgotten to shave, it was the exact time I saw on the clock, the lighting of the room had been correct in what I saw...call it what you want, but I think this was a legit OBE and not exactly a lucid dream.

Kinda weird, though...that makes the second or third time recently at night I'll feel like I'm leaving my body and I'll hear a voice sending me back telling me it's not yet my time. Am I really getting that close to dying? Am I on my way out and then being put stuck back in just at the last moment? Creepy...
