    1. Independence Day

      by , 12-14-2012 at 02:22 PM
I'm back home with the family. I'm just outside the home property where I used to live. The day is barely about to begin. There is nothing down this street. Just like my other dreams, this area was always the place where it felt alone. I wandered around this area until I found something to entertain me. There was nothing much I could find but, there was a car that drove past me. I never followed any vehicles down this street but maybe this car could lead me somewhere more exciting.

I followed the car and before I know it, the scenario of the neighborhood changed! The buildings around me turned in to skyscrapers and all the areas began to stretch out! I followed a crowd before me. It was a crowd of friends who held guns to fight against an army of people. These enemies we were fighting were not very strong. They often hid behind walls and on tall structures above us. Me and my allies walked through them and shot every man we saw. It had a Call of Duty feel to it. There were times where I almost got shot but I did my best to dodge, duck and roll to avoid the bullets.

We reached the corner of the enemies' territory and found a civilian resting place. Me and my team walked inside and observed the building. At first, I had no idea what is was but something told me the entire area we were in, was about to be blown to destruction. There was a rare chance for us to live. I told the rest of my teams to hurry up and prepare for an escape on what we believed to be a plane but was actually just the inside of a building. I walked around and found an area where I wanted to sit. I saw a few people here and all I can tell from remembering, they didn't looked so confident. Before I could do anything else, I woke up.

    2. The Rocket, Cannonball , Sliced in half

      by , 11-13-2012 at 07:39 PM
This is my first dream journal entry. Though i've been using a DJ for a couple of years , I think I will start fresh on this site.
Last night I had a couple of disturbing nightmares, 3 which I remember the strongest.

The first one is a dreamscenario which happens now and then when i'm lucid and flying. I start flying as always, you probably know the feeling, everythings perfect and it's really liberating. Though I sometimes fear that this ''Rocket'' scenario is going to take over. So it's simply me flying through the air in the quarters of my old apartment, feeling the wind through my hair , when I suddenly stop and gets paralyzed in mid-air. I no longer have control of my body as I start to soar in a extremely high speed, up to the starry skies. Panic takes control over me and I cannot exit the dream until i'm in dead-air space, choking.

The second one is a new. I was not lucid in this one.
I'm standing on a broad ledge with my mother and uncle, when I look down I see floors scattered around my surroundings on multiple levels, at each floor there's a swimmingpool, and the floors go down maybe 200 meters.
I look across the swimmingpools and I see that this ''compound'' is surrounded by extremely tall and dark trees, almost like a fence. So I get somewhat nervous of what might happen next, as my uncle starts walking toward the edge of the ledge we're standing on.
I try to stop him ,but he jumps down yelling ''Canonball'' and I look down as he approaches a swimmingpool maybe 10 levels down. Of course he misses it and you can hear a wham as his body hits the surface.
Behind me my mother starts screaming this horrible, endless roar, and I jump down the ledge to wake up.

The third was really short and the last nightmare I had that night. I was not lucid in this one.
I'm with two of my friends drinking beer and laughing, when we decides to take a walk. And as we walk out from my friends house and into the street a man comes at us. We get freightened because he's holding a giant machete and is threatening us, we can not run away and he slices me in half, literally..... I can feel myself peel of in half , like i'm suddenly two bodies.. It didn't hurt ,it actually was kind of interesting, but scary yes.

    3. Hangin with Hugh Laurie

by , 08-06-2012 at 06:46 PM (Oneironautic Escapades)
A somewhat exciting beginning which involved con men and being in a group of men working together to pull off some job. Few details I remember as all of the men were lost but myself (not in my own form) and Hugh Laurie. Our ventures had led us to an old summer cabin only it was winter, with slow snow falling and the warmth of our breaths hanging in the air. Hugh had aged rapidly and also had a medical condition he knew was not curable (definitely wasn't lupus). He and I both knew that our company was the last he would ever know, so I spoke personally to him. Asked him about his life, what he enjoyed most, what he would change if he could. Over the course of our conversation we grew close, attached almost. We laughed, reminisced, and did everything within our power to not acknowledge the coming inevitable end. Watching his condition further, along with his age increase, I was pained in my heart. I did not want to lose this close friend I had made, his joys were my joys, and now his fears were my fears.
I fought tears several times as the emotion of our interaction was greatly increased. When the time finally came, I could hold them in no longer. I shouted for him, by his side I knew I could not lose him. In a moment of brief insanity there was a bright magnificent light, coming from both of us, surrounding the room we occupied. Great harmonies were heard similar to trumpets and a chorus's of thousands of choir members. The colours swirled around us as I saw his face.. Straighten. The wrinkles I had watched form for hours before were now being taught. His eyes were livening and I could feel my energy flow through him as his age flowed through me. He was getting younger, while I was slightly aging. When lights faded and the sounds dulled we sat in silence staring at each other. We were now the same age. He, younger and able, I older but still able. He smiled, and tears streamed down both our faces. He stood from his deathbed, stretched, and yawned. 'Lets go have some fun' he said.
We left the cabin and walked in slow motion side by side through the snow to one of the vehicles in the lot. High-fiving before entering a larger white van. He was driving, excited and full of life we decided to speed and reality shifted to that of a GTA video game. We were being chaotic and destructive. His laugh was infectious, one by one police joined the chase, close call after close call we narrowly escaped. He asked me how to shoot the gun, I told him to hold down the right joystick
We gained speed and ramped off of a highway into city streets, shooting the fuzz as we went along.
By the time there were 5-6 coppers surrounding us, our vehicle had been immobilized. Just as they were surrounding our car guns drawn shouting, Hugh turned to me, and scoffed 'Well, that was a blast' He winked and I woke up.
    4. Store/soccer/underwater base/dying in lava

      by , 04-29-2012 at 02:26 PM (Taffy's Sweet Dreams)
I was in a department store with my mom. We got separated a bit so I walked around. I saw someone cosplaying as SeeU, and she gave me a hug. I walked around the corner and saw my mom again. We went to a salad bar thing inside the store, and sat down to eat. There was a booth behind ours, and I kept seeing someone's shadow appear next to us. There was a note sticking up over the booth behind us that read: "the ghost strikes tonight; your gelato isn't safe."

      --

I was on a soccer team of only 3 people. We were going to verse the best team in the state, and I was very nervous. We started to play, but the soccer ball was huge, about twice the size of a regular soccer ball. Either way, our team somehow managed to win.

      --

I was in a secret underwater base. There were several long hallways, and I walked through them carefully, trying to to get caught. By the end of the path I was on, I realized I was back at the beginning. There was a guy standing there, asleep. I walked right past him and up the stairs. There was some kind of escape vehicle, a boat/submarine thing. I got on it and there was a few people on it, a guy and a few young kids. We sailed on the boat thing for a few days. The guy showed us some survival things, like knot tying. I found a radio, but it only had enough battery for a few minutes.

      --

There was a competition of sorts where you had to choose a person from your group to die. I don't remember too much about this dream, just that I was not the first or last to die. I think we were on a trampoline of some kind, and the center was a hole with lava in it. I saw a woman jump in, then after I was voted out. It took me a while to accept my fate, I even tried to escape at one point. But I got over it and did a cannonball into the lava. My bony got really hot for a minute, but it didn't really hurt. I think I revived somewhere else later.

    5. Blood in Dreams=Blood on my Pillow? , Even More Drowning

by , 04-14-2012 at 11:26 PM (Hopeless Wanderings)
I know I haven't posted in awhile but I've been so lazy. I've been remembering dreams but I'm too lazy to type them up. Half of them have been about drowning, as usual, including the one from last night. I'm going to post that one as well as one I had a few nights ago that really creeped me out..

I had a dream that I was bleeding all over. I don't know why. I was just taking a shower and blood was turning the water red and I was bleeding out. In another dream the same night, I was trying to help a friend from my college with her math homework but she became frustrated and started cutting her wrist. She didn't stop there. She kept cutting all up her arm and was bleeding all over. It was quite scary/creepy. When I woke up I found a spot of blood on my pillow. I have NO idea where it came from. Weird.

I was in a pool with some of my friends in some sort of waterpark or hotel. The pool wasn't too big, maybe about one-third the size of a regular high school pool. But it was super crowded. There must have been atleast 60 people all crowded in there. There was barely any space between any of the people. I was treading water somewhere in the middle of the pool when I started to get pulled under. I tried to fight my way back to the surface but there was just so many people in my way, and I gulped in water and started drowning. I made it to the surface just barely and managed to wave my arms for help. Next thing I remember, a lifeguard had pulled me out and brought me back to life. Most everyone was out of the pool now, either leaving or watching me.

    6. On the run

by , 04-07-2012 at 03:51 PM (The Dreams of a Trapped Mind)
Ok, due to the fact that I decided to have cereal (I was hungry, don't hate) and called my girlfriend (she had a nightmare) before I wrote this, I remember significantly less >_<

medieval time era. I'm in a party of probably ten or so. It started out in a small village, but things took a turn for the worst when the first sword was swung. We had no choice but to head for the hills and run. I don't know if it was our fault or theirs, but our men were dying and I had to get them out of there. Once in the forest it's just a matter of covering our tracks and silently killing all stranglers who try to find us. Since the ratio was like two swordsmen to eight archers, this wasn't a problem. We came into a clearing, thinking we were safe, only to get ambushed by two dozen men. I escaped. All of my men were either captured as prisoners or slaughtered in the field.

I don't know whether to be happy because I escaped, or sad because I lost all my men :/

      Last Nights Dream

I'm in a Hospital, I'm not sure why but I'm ill. I walk down a corridors and come to a room where there is a boy in a wheelchair, I look at him and then I go into a shop, I forget what I go in the shop for and the owner says "what do you want?" I say "ummmmm..you got any of those things for a sore throat?" I see some herbals and a Woman says "what tooth for?" Lol I think "uhhhh!!" and say "the back left" she says "these are what you want" and she throws me a packet of herbals.
I have now gone back to bed but all the beds have disappeared apart from mine, they now bring in lots of baby cribs, people are lying on the floor wrapped up in blankets, these people all have a disease and are all being sick, it's really thick, cheesy like sick all different colours..it's totally gross . I'm walking in sick, I can smell it and it's getting all over me. I see a woman lying on the floor wrapped in a blanket, she is about 40 or so and has beautiful black hair it's in a up-do style, she looks old fashioned and I hold her hand and I say "it's ok, you can go now" she then dies but then comes back to life again, this happens about 4 times before she actually dies. I now look for the boy in the wheelchair, he's sad. I now sit and paint with a red pen which turns black aswell which I find a little odd, he comes but goes again ((the boy in the wheelchair that is)).
    8. I Finally Remember: Dream Entry 1 - Slithering Snake

      by , 02-12-2012 at 05:12 PM
I remember being in my room, and it was dark. If course, it was night outside and the only light was coming from my tv, and my dad was watching tv in the living room. Out of nowhere a snake starting slithering toward me, and I screamed. I think it was a corn snake from the size and color. I ran out the room where my dog and dad were. He was asking me what happened and I was jumping away from the snake at every which way but it kept getting under me, dancing around at my feet. I'm not usually scared of snakes, but this one particularly terrified me. I have no Idea why. I yelled at my dad to kill it, but instead, he dug a pencil- or was it a small knife- through my dog. He died, and the snake disapeared. I fell to my knees in shock, and then began crying, sobbing, yelling at my dad. And then I woke up. My dogs still alive
    9. Lucid Chase, A Friendly Killer Game

by , 12-16-2011 at 06:52 PM (Hopeless Wanderings)
So.. the other day I posted something on here about not having enough motivation to practice dream recall or do anything that would help me start having LDs again. I guess just thinking about that was all I needed to have one again! Unfortunaly, I remember almost nothing of it because it was in the middle of the night.

There were people chasing me, it was really frightening. I got out my phone and dialed 911 and told them people were after me. This made me realize that every time I call 911 I'm always dreaming, so I must be having a lucid dream now! But I didn't really want to do anything but see where the dream would take me so I just kept playing along with it.

I was outside in this crowded town full of mostly people I didn't know, along with a few people from my old high school. Many people gathered around a circle to play a game in which they would run around and tag each other and the last one left standing was the winner. Everyone was gathered around watching as they finished up the first round. Then the people running it asked it anyone else wanted to join. My hand was the first to shoot up. Although I was nervous, I thought why not? I don't know most of these people, so it could be fun! My friend sitting next to me cheered me on, along with some other people I didn't even know and they let me join the circle. Then I noticed a few people from my high school and was sad because I never wanted to see those certain people again, but decided it would still be fun. I was placed behind a girl who looked like a slow runner, so I was sure I could catch her, but placed in front of a guy from back in high school. The announcer counted down 3.. 2.. 1... go! Everyone started running around trying to tag one another. I thought it would be a nice friendly game, but then everyone started attacking me and kicking me! I didn't know what was going on and why they were doing this, but I couldn't escape. No one tried to stop them as they beat me up. Everything turned red and then I was outside my body watching it happed. They "killed" me and the next thing I remember was looking at a facebook page of my picture next to 3 other dead people titled "RIP" and my friend's status: Everyone I know is dying! I found this really odd because obviously I was still alive! And I was still out in the open. I went to tell people I was still alive but then I arrived at this snow hill with my grandpa, another dream starting up. There were crowds of people on each side of the hill selling things and me and my grandpa were walking up and down, checking everything out. As we were heading back to our car to leave, I woke up.

    10. Super mutants

by , 11-09-2011 at 01:08 PM (Tales from the sun chaser.)
Much of this dream is forgotten, but I do remember fighting super mutants. These muscle bound freaks were everywhere, and they had regular coloured flesh. No guns, just fisticuffs. I'd own them, and they'd own me, but I knew I couldn't really die.

    11. My first dream journal

      by , 10-03-2011 at 08:41 AM
I used to keep a dream journal while I teen (I was more interested at that time about dream interpretation), but now as I want to learn to attain lucidity, I've decided to keep another journal to see how I progress.

I guess the first dreams will be regular dreams. Hope eventually they will turn to LDs.

So here is part of my last dream early in the morning. Couldn't recall everything, usually I seem to be able to recall the last part. Must work on this.

      Oct. 3, 2011

I was in a room with P. (my ex-boss and also a friend) next to me on one side (sitting at a desk) and another person at the other side. We were sitting and discussing something.

Next I remember I was walking with some other people in line and there was a road down and one up. Most went up but I chose to go the down road. A guy (somehow he was familiar and I kind of liked him, I think he's an actor in RL - it was probl. why I went downwards) came with me.

At some point we got next to a door. I then realized that I would die once I got to the other side of that door (executed, killed - somehow Nazi stuff came to mind there). I asked the guy if I will die. And the guy said yes, but we can stop for a minute to delay it a bit. Then we stopped at the door to rest.

Next I know, I was running back and went to the upper road, with the line of people going upwards. There was an older man (somebody important) and I somehow got next to him. He had in his hands a thread like a black shoelace that he was playing with.

We went to some kind of arena and we sat down, and the young guy came running after me. I was afraid that the older guy will let him take me away, but while he looked sadly over me disappointed that actually took the road going down earlier on and that I ran away, he didn't let him take me away, so I continued sitting down there next to the older person...That's pretty much what I remember before waking up.

    12. 09/26/2011 - "Lucid Juggernaut", Fragment

by , 10-03-2011 at 06:32 AM (Oneironaut Zero: Dreamwalker Chronicles)
      09/26/2011
      Dream One:
      "Lucid Juggernaut"

The very first thing I remember is sitting on a couch, during the day, with a few friends. Without warning, a thunderous banging noise came at the front door. Someone apparently had a battering ram and was trying to bust into the house, while we were inside. Immediately, we all scrambled, taking up our guns and preparing for a firefight. However, with the loud banging becoming more intense, some of us were able to see just how many people were out there...and how many guns they had. We were not about to stick around and be slaughtered, so we all bolted out the back door, scrambling through the neighborhood and catching faint glimpses of hundreds of these heavily-armed thugs, raiding all of the houses in the neighborhood. We were being fleshed out, and our territories were being seized by this faction.

Before we were able to make it out of the neighborhood, we were cornered by a patch of these thugs. I don't believe we had our guns anymore, and they ended up robbing us for everything we had in our pockets. We could do nothing but stand there and fume over how we were being humiliated by these goons, and how helpless we were. After cracking a few jokes, they sent us on our way. However, after a few short steps, I finally realized how crazy this situation was. I figured out that I was dreaming, and I couldn't be more ready for revenge.

I turned around, mid-pace, and began walking back toward the thugs, whom had just robbed us. I didn't care how I did it, (or that it really didn't matter, because this was just a dream), but I was about to get our damn stuff back! Lol. They all watched me as I approached, waving my hands back in my direction, and yelling at the armed men to bring it on. Accepting the invitation, they all started firing at me, simultaneously. At first, I began to let the bullets just slam into me, while I continued walking toward them. I had to clentch my fists and brace forward, because they bullets were actually a bit painful, but I tried to just push the sensation out of my mind, while I stalked twoard the men. When it finally became too uncomfortable, I took to catching most of the bullets in my hands, which also stung, but was still effective. However, the men just continued firing, and even with a good level of lucidity, it was beginning to get a little overwhelming. I was still having a good time, though, watching them sh!t bricks when they saw how they couldn't really stop me with all that firepower.

An idea came to mind. Focusing my intention to use a little telekinesis, I brought my hands in front of me, fingers curled toward on another, as if I were palming a basketball. With the men continuing to fire away at me, I drew all of my attention to the empty space between my hands, and 'willed' all of the bullets to be drawn to this void. The bullets immediately ceased hitting me, and I could literally see them being collected, in this empty space between my hands, as if there were a powerful, invisible magnet floating there. (I had gotten the idea from the Mech Suit scene, in the movie District 9, where the Mech used some sort of technology to catch the bullets in mid air, and collect them into one, floating spot.) Then, once I had a good mass of bullet heads collected in this space, the men finally stopped shooting. They stared at the hovering bullets with awe, and were obviously loss for words. Smiling, I quickly flung my hands out in the direction of the gunmen, launching the spent bullets out of the space between my palms, like buckshot from a gun (which is also what the Mech did, with the bullet tips, in the movie). It was just awesome, and I'm surprised it worked, so effortlessly. The first wave of thugs dropped like stones, and more moved in from around the neighborhood. I basically ripped through them all, using their own weapons against them, but eventually losing lucidity. I was able to keep the control for a bit, but the bullets began to take their toll on me, and I could feel myself dying. Still trying to fight through the sensation of having my energy drained from me, I eventually had to succumb. I ended up dying in the street, seeing myself in the third person as a female friend from my group clutched me and cried.

(There was a strange transition here, that might have been a completely different dream, where some girl, that might have been the same one, was going down on me in a public place. I remember being lucid here, for a moment, but still a little embarassed that people were watching us and walking right by us, even though I knew they were DC's.)

The dream then transitioned again (or there is just a lot I am missing), and I was now in some scenario where I believe I was a police offer. I had lost my lucidity again (but, again, I don't feel like it was a separate dream). My female companion from earlier was still with me, and she was acting as my 'partner'. We were in some similar situation to what had happened back in the neighborhood, in that we'd set up some kind of presence in this huge, multi-level office building, but were run out of it by this larger faction. This time it was more of a shadow organization with lots of money, modern security, and lots more firepower than even the thugs from earlier.

Having failed our first confrontation with these new gunmen, I remember us walking back out toward the parking lot, pissed off at having not been able to bring the group down. Once again, just on the verge of retreat, I realized I was dreaming once again. My disappointment instantly turned to mischeivous glee. Without saying another word, I reached into an open trunk and grabbed a handgun and immediately began to storm my way back into the tall office building, and up the stairs, toward where my squad had just been forced out of. I don't remember much of the battle, but it went pretty much like my rampage through the neighborhood, with guys emptying clips into me, and me just refusing to go down. I remember a specific corridor, where I tried shooting my gun, but it was just like a BB gun, and not doing any damage. Annoyed with this, I walked toward the nearest shooter - allowing his bullets to rip into me, on the way - and proceeded to try to pistol whip him and the guy next to him. Unfortunately, I got that 'sluggish' effect, and was not able to get any power behind my swings. The more intense the fighting got, the more I could feel my lucidity slipping in and out. I remained lucid enough to remember that I had died, during the last rampage, and I became anxious about whether or not this would happen to me again, now. I was able to survive this time, though, keeping myself calm instead of allowing the energy-draining sensation to creep back into me. Once I was done having my fun, I walked back down to the rest of my team, completely unharmed, but still riddled with bullet holes and bleeding from every inch of my body.

(There was another transition after this, which might have been a different dream, but I don't really feel like it was. It didn't really tie in with the theme from the previous, though, so I will just label it as a separate fragment, even though I'm admittedly not sure whether it was a seperate fragment, or just a continuation of the dream.)

      Dream Fragment Two
I was with JH, and we were leaving my house (which was actually the house where the ex and I used to live, years ago). My mom had just come home (though she didn't actually live in that house with us, in waking life), and I had to break away to speak to her for a moment. All I can remember about talking to her was catching her on the front porch, and seeing that she was wearing a very nice, red dress, and really long hair.

      Dream Fragment One
All I remember was that I was in a house that I thought was my own. I walked outside, and it was night time. Looking to one side, I noticed that the outside of the house was definitely not my house. For one brief moment, I realized that I had no idea where I was, and that this had to be a dream. Unfortunately, I woke up immediately after this realization.

      Dream Fragment Two
I was driving around, downtown somewhere, with MJ. We were just hanging out for a while, but I don't really remember too much that went on.

      Dream Three
"Friends 'til the End...and Then Some."

This was a really strange dream, and I'm not sure if I can remember the exact details, because it was kind of confusing. I was not actually a participant in this dream. I just seemed to be watching it. Apparently, there were two middle-aged women, who were extremely close friends. One of them - a brunette - really reminded of Rosanne Arnold. The other woman - blonde - was being abused by some deadbeat dude, and ended up getting critically injured by him. (I don't believe she died, though.) Later, her friend had done something to the man, in order to get revenge. I can't remember what it was, but she definitely put him in his place. She might have killed him. I'm not sure.

However, the twist came when the brunette woman was sitting in her home one night, and she picked up the phone to call her friend. My disembodied perspective came in on the conversation, as she was sitting on her bed and explaining to her friend about how she avenged her friend and 'got the bastard' that critically injured her. Suddenly, I could hear her friend on the phone. Her voice was filled with sorry, and it seemed so much more like she was talking to herself, rather than talking to the friend who was telling her about how she's gotten the man back for what he'd done. I could hear the blonde's muffled voice through the phone, sobbing to herself about how much she misses her friend (the brunette), how she wishes she was still alive, and how she hated the man that killed her beloved friend.

The brunette was visibly shocked by this. She called into the phone "hello?? hello??!", trying to get clarification, but it seemed that her blonde friend couldn't hear her. It was if the phone call was not actually happening, and she was just somehow listening to her blonde friend talking to herself. Then, the brunette began to piece together what was going on, and my perspective followed her recollection as if it were a movie flashback. It showed that the brunette was actually the one who was attacked by the man in question. I saw a quick flash of her getting struck down by him, and then another flash of a funeral service. The brunette woman was in an open casket, and her blonde friend was standing nearby. My perspective then switched back to the brunette, in her room, still clutching the phone. The realization came to her (and me, of course), that she was the one who had been killed, and that everything that had happened after her death (killing the man, talking on the phone to her friend) was all just fabrications of the afterlife that came with her apparent inability to accept the fact that she had died. My recollection of the dream faded as the woman was just sitting on the bed with the look of complete shock on her face, trying to make sense of just what the hell happened to her.

      Dream Fragment Four
I was laying on a couch. On the couch with me was the brunette from the previous dream. The blonde was sitting on a nearby loveseat. Having no idea that I was still dreaming, I was explaining the previous dream to the two of them, as if they were my waking world friends. They listened intently, while I recounted all the details.

      Dream Five
      "The Undead of Winter"

(Another crazy one, and I have the feeling I'm missing a lot that went on, before my initial recollection of the dream begins.)

I was in an enormous mansion, along with some friends. The first thing I remember is that we had done something we weren't supposed to do, and ended up unleashing a horde of zombies from deep within the mansion. Once they were unleashed, they just began streaming out of every door and hallway, in absolutely insane numbers. We all ran for our lives, trying not to get lost in the building. I remember the final stretch of hallway, leading toward the exit, and ducking and dodging all of the flailing, undead arms that were reaching out for us as we passed.

When we finally made it outside, we found ourselves in a snow-white clearing. It looked like this mansion was secluded out in the Alps, or something, with the tundra-like setting all around us. The zombies continued to flood out of the mansion by the thousands, and we had something of a stand-off, out here, because it seemed like all directions were blocked by impassable landscape. I remember having some sort of contraption in my pocket that helped point me out to where any potential weapons were. However, with the zombies beginning to box us in, there was no way that I could get to any of them. They eventually closed in on us, and I remember dying at least once.

Before I knew it, I was back inside the mansion. We had just accidentally set the zombies free (again), and they were filling the mansion again, while we made our second escape. With some awareness of what had happened, the first time, I pulled out my 'weapon-finder' much earlier, on this second run. As soon as I exited the mansion, I took a sharp right and dashed toward a crowbar that the gadget had directed me to. I picked it up and began bludgeoning the creatures back, as best I could. There were far too many of them, though, and they just kept on coming. We continued to be pushed back to the rough terrain, as we had before, but we somehow figured out that these zombies only advanced on us when we were looking at them, and whenever we would turn our eyes from them, they would either freeze up, or wander about aimlessly. (I also remember something about music being involved, and how music being played also caught them to wonder around at random, instead of toward us. It all felt like a zombie-apocalypse game I tried out the other day on the PC, where the zombies wouldn't come close to you, unless you were moving around and drawing attention to yourself, but a little different. Can't remember the name of the game, though.)

Using this knowledge of how to stun them to our advantage, the last thing I remember is our group working together to stun them and toss grenades into the fray, when there were enough of them in a single spot to maximize damage to the horde. However, we knew that we just did not have enough resources to take them out, and they continued to stream out of the mansion in numbers that didn't seem to show any signs of dwindling.
    14. Spider Apocalypse

      by , 08-29-2011 at 04:55 AM
Had this one last night, really weird. Includes Britt, Laura, Dani, Niki, and myself.

So I'm at my old house on that dead end street again, and I'm in the living room with my dog (he's a wiener dog). I'm petting him while he's knawing on his basketball toy, when I hear this sound coming from outside, under the window facing the driveway. The best I can describe it is someone sucking jello through a straw, mixed with a dying animal and chewing. It was really gross. I stood up and tried to look out the window to see what it was, but that didn't work. Suddenly my stepmom came stampeding into the living room shouting about something or other, looking really freaked out. She scooped up my dog and said we had to leave town, and went out the back door. I followed her asking why as we walked down the driveway, heading to the street where my car was parked. When we got to where the noise came from my stepmom stopped walking and looked down at the ground. There was a look of pure horror on her face, and she started to cry. I took this chance to snatch my dog from her. She plopped down on the ground and started poking whatever was there, muttering something about "the spiders". Somehow I knew what she meant by that, and started to get really scared. I didn't want to look at what was on the ground, but I felt I had to. I took a quick glimpse, and saw the body of a small dog, or what used to be one. (Don't know where this dog came from; I only had one.) It looked like it used to be a pit bull, but was shrunken down to the size of a chihuahua. All of it's flesh, blood, and organs had been "sucked" out of it, leaving only a pile of bones vacuum-wrapped in it's skin. Also, what used to be the head was nearly separated from the rest of the body. I knew this had been the work of a spider, and started hustling to my car.

(Random 'facts' I knew about the situation that I was thinking about as I was going to my car: 1) In this world, there are grey/black spiders the size of your hand. They are growing in numbers and slowly taking over the Earth. 2) The spiders are really hard to kill, but can easily kill you. 3)The spiders attack you by jumping on your neck, biting you, and sucking everything up, like a vampire dust buster thingy. Then they crawl inside the wound and eat everything else. 4) In some rare cases the spiders don't eat the flesh of humans; instead they kill them, enter their brain, and control them like zombies. 5) In order to escape the spiders, I needed to leave where I was and head south, FAST.)

Once I got to my car, I put my dog in the back, along with a big duffel bag of stuff I suddenly had with me. There was already a bunch of stuff in my car. It like we had already planned an evacuation, but didn't want to leave until we were sure the spiders were going to invade. I got in the driver's seat. My stepmom, who had managed to snap out of it, went in the passenger seat. I really hated her (I do in real life, too), but I wasn't mean enough to abandon her in the spider apocalypse. (At this point my thoughts turned to the "past": my dad had died from fighting the spiders; somehow my stepmom and I decided to ignore the fact that we hated each other, and just stick together to better survive the spider-thing. You know, like how when people are stranded on a desert island, they're sort of forced to work together or die.) I started driving off. While I was driving I noticed the whole town looked really spooky. All the trees were dead and black, and the grass was yellow and patchy, mixed with dry dirt. There was nobody outside at all, except some dead bodies. There were no lights on, anywhere. Everything looked really run-down and crappy. All the cars were rusty and junky (broken windows, doors left open, flat tires, turned over, crashed, etc.) and were just lying around wherever, while the houses were abandoned and destroyed (broken windows, doors open, nasty shingles, empty, etc.). The sky was sepia tone (which is cool because the sky really was like this one day), but I couldn't see the sun or any clouds. I drove for a while before my stepmom started telling me some directions to a "safe house". We stopped at a building that was once white, but now almost grey. It looked like a trailer home without the wheels, or windows. We went up to the door, and my stepmom knocked. A lady answered the door; she was tall and skinny, with greasy black hair pulled back into a pony tail. She wore way too much makeup, but her eyes still looked sunken in and tired. Oh, and she wore orange shorts and a white shirt. "Hiii, welcome to Hooters!" she said. I gave my stepmom a "WTF" look as we went inside. The Hooters lady closed the door. Not only did the building look like a trailer home on the outside, but it did on the inside too. It was really long to my left and right, but so narrow that I could barely turn around. There was nasty, thin carpeting on the floors, and nothing on the walls. Besides some other random people lying in the hall, the only thing there was a round wooden table with a pile of wadded blankets on it. The Hooters lady went to the table and grabbed a ragged, thin blue blanket. "Will you be sleeping here tonight?" I wondered why she was still acting like this place was a restaurant; it didn't look like one, and I doubted she had any food to serve us. My stepmom said yes, and so the lady led us down the hall to the left until she got to a door. She opened it up and threw the blanket inside, let us go in, and then closed the door. There wasn't any light, so it was hard to see, but I knew there was a bunch of people in this room too. I 'went to sleep', and woke up the next day. I went out of the room to try and find the Hooters lady to pay her, but she was nowhere to be found. I went back to ask my stepmom what to do about this, but I couldn't find her either. I decided I would just leave, since my stepmom was probably dead, and I didn't want to hang back and get killed myself.

I got in my car and drove until the sky was blue again, and there was plant life/people around me. I got off the road, stopped at a motel (it was white on the outside, but I didn't see the name of it), and got a room. The guy led me to my room, explaining I'd have to buddy up with someone because they didn't have any open rooms, with everybody trying to escape the spiders. He opened the door for me, gave me my key, and left. There were two twin beds in the room, with a window in the middle and white walls (like my dorm room, except plainer looking and sorta junky). To my surprise, the other person in the room was my friend Brittany. We were both surprised to see each other, and happy we had both survived the spiders. I asked her where the rest of her family was; she was quiet for a few seconds, and instead of answering, she showed me around the room. She had some clothes in the sliding door closet next to the door, and some bags/clothes around her bed. It was sort of cluttered, but that's to be expected. (It's hard to be organized when you're on the run from spiders, and have to live with everything you own in a motel room.) She told me she'd been living here for a while, and that it was really safe, and the people running the hotel didn't even charge anyone because it was a safe house now. I set down my one bag next to my bed (which only had one old sheet on it), and went back to my car to get the rest of my stuff. Once I had everything inside the room, it was even more cluttered, but we could still walk around easily enough. My dog suddenly appeared in the room, which is weird because I lost track of him for a while there. I was about to close the door, when suddenly a gray spider ran through. Britt and I screamed. I just so happened to have a crowbar in my hand, so when it jumped at me, I whacked it really hard. It made a 'crack' sound, and blood spattered everywhere. The spider flew over to the window, but disappeared when if fell in our junk.

I shut the door all the way and locked it. We knew the spider was only stunned because I had hit it with a blunt object, so we had to find it and kill it before it woke up. I started searching for the spider while Britt looked for a sharp object. While we searched we were freaking out. I said, "Where did that come from?! I thought this was a spider free area! Are they migrating that fast?!" Britt said, "Dude I don't know! Just find it! Maybe it hitched a ride on somebody's stuff when they came here? Like somebody didn't look over their shit properly or something?" Britt pulled out an old rusty handsaw from somewhere. It had a red handle, and all the teeth were worn off, but it was still sharp. She demonstrated how we would properly kill the spider when we found it. "I think it might have fallen below the window," she said. I moved some of my stuff from below the window, and found the grey spider. It was just lying there, still stunned. Britt rushed over with the handsaw, put it on the spider, and pushed down. I helped push too. We managed to cut the spider in half (the outside of it was steel hard, but the inside was soft and fleshy, so once we pushed hard enough to cut through the skin the rest took no effort). Blood spattered from the spider again. Once we knew we had killed it, we did a high five. Britt went to get somebody to dispose of the body. When she opened the door, Laura was on the other side.

Britt and I were surprised/happy to see Laura. She came inside holding a cleaver. We asked her how she found us, and she told us she was staying in the motel with Niki, and had seen me bring my stuff inside. She showed us her cleaver like it was her prized possession, and told us how it was really good at killing spiders. I talked to her while Britt went to get someone to take care of the spider. After a while I looked outside the window. The view was really pretty. It was an ocean bank, surrounded by long grass with two trees on each side. One was a palm tree (right) and one was a willow (left). The sky was blue with a few white clouds. In the middle was some random guy fishing. He was all decked out in fishing gear and stuff. After catching a small silver fish he left, so I could see the water better. It was clear blue and sparkly. It dropped off from the bank immediately. While I was looking at the pretty view an orca swam up and purposely beached itself on the bank. I wasn't sure whether to be worried or not. At first I freaked out, thinking it was a sign of the spiders coming, but when I looked at it, it was smiling and rolling around happily, so I knew it was okay. After it went back in the water I looked back to Laura, who was still talking about all the spiders she had killed with her cleaver.

Britt came back in the room, and with her was Dani. She said she had found her while looking for someone to clean up the spider. We were all happy to see each other, but after a while I asked Britt if she had actually found anyone to take care of the spider. Dani answered by saying her dad was coming with a wood chipper. We all looked at her, surprised. "Your dad is here?" I said, since everyone else seemed to be parentless. "Yeahhh...?" said Dani. "He has a woodchipper? Cool!" said Laura. Dani's dad entered the room carrying his "handheld woodchipper" (he had to duck to get through the door). We all said hi. Dani's dad grabbed the two pieces of the spider and threw it in the wood chipper. He left to go outside so he could finish the job without getting spider-puree in out room. We all started talking about what we were planning to do. Dani apparently had just gotten here, so she had no idea. Britt said she had been here for a while, and was planning to move further south soon. I agreed that that was a good idea (since I wasn't sure about where that spider came from). Laura agreed too, and we decided to head out tonight together. Laura went back to her room to pack up, while Britt and I packed up too. Dani stood there until her dad came back to show us his spider killing tool, which was like a shiny dagger. Dani and her dad left the room, leaving Britt and I packing. This is where I woke up.

    15. Lava Project/Drowning

by , 07-14-2011 at 07:19 AM (Hopeless Wanderings)
Me and Niki were in Geology class together and we had to create a volcano and take pictures of it. We were by the beach and somehow this mini volcano was there all ready for us. It was about the size of a trailer and Niki told me to pour buckets of fake lava down it, but she yelled at me for getting the wrong color or something stupid like that and I couldn'd understand what I was doing wrong, or why I was even working on a volcano project for a geology class that I don't even have anymore.. I got pretty annoyed with the whole thing and decided to go down to the beach to take a break. I was there with my sister then, and the beach was not too crowded, but there were people scattered along it. The waves looked medium sized, not too big, and definitely managable, or so I though. So me and my sister went in, I don't think I intended to go all the way on because I still had my fancy camera with me and it was bound to get wet. Then the waves picked up and I lost control and started drowning so I waved for someone to help and blacked out. When I woke up, I was standing next to my sister knee deep in water with a lifeguard standing next to us. I have no idea what happened but I was then I was fine and got out of the water safely.
