    1. Dream Within a Dream + OBE

      Dream Date: 5/8/10
      (This dream was from a few months ago...)

      8:30 - awake and said goodbye to my Fiance, who is leaving for the day..
      9:30 (ish), laid back down to rest.

      Blue = Dream
      Red = Lucid Dream - level 1
      Dark Red = Lucid Dream Level 2 - The OBE

      As I drifted off, dream-like visions faded in very quickly (not typical dream cycle, this happened within 10 mins of me lying down)...early on, there we 2 guys conversing, the exact subject I can't remember, but their whole conversation was very clear at the time. Eventually I was 'dreaming' that I was at work, in class, but we needed to pull a girl from another class to help out. I was walking around looking at student's computers and their work...up to this point, it was very much like a dream...I was merely a passenger to wherever my dreams would take me. Then suddenly I was very aware of the moment, and I could feel first hand everything that was around me. I turned to the girl and said quite normally "It's pretty bright in here" (and it was, all of a sudden. Blindingly so.... and I squinted my eyes to see)...she asked me to repeat myself, and as I started to speak again, the sound of my own words blurred and faded out, as if time was slowing down, and without any control over what was happening (but yet, I WAS the dream body) I began to slip away, as if I was suddenly passing out. There was a moment of concern, but it felt peaceful and i didn't offer resistance. My consciousness shifted "inside of myself" (myself being the dream body), but could feel the 'dream characters' hovering around my 'dream body'. I was aware of everything - that my 'real body' was lying in bed, safely harboring a 'dream' of my second body, which had gone into a deeply vivid 'dreaming' state', in which I was extremely lucid, and could use that second level of dreaming to host my "lucid dream". This was different than a lucid dream though...it felt more like an out of body/lucid dream hybrid. I felt my consciousness 'physically' leave my dream body, and my 'real body' and I was moving around the room (a little clumsily, but I had some control over it nevertheless.) I remembered that in an OBE you can turn and see yourself...I could not. I tried, but...controls were difficult, and I was in someone else's room. It was a child's room...almost everything was white - white bed, with white ruffled comforter, white walls, and sun shining in through windows adorned in white. There was a Winnie The Pooh doll in the room...I never owned Winnie The Pooh anything, so i knew right away this was night my room. I continued to "stumble" around (I was floating, not walking)... the room changed, and it felt more like the room my 'real body' was in...I saw and felt the door, and somehow managed to open it, but the other side was not a hallway like I expected, its...Another door i believe. Or rather, a door warped strangely, like 2 wooden doors that had grown together...somehow. There were many illusions. I decided I wanted to see if I could find my fiance. I found myself at a place that almost resembled a night club, and i was higher up looking down at the people that were there. I moved over the reception area to the main room and found my fiance standing talking to friends. Soon my legs were wrapped around him from the side, and I was stroking the back of his neck, and hugging him. I had resumed my 'dream body' at this point, so I could feel him, 'physically'. He was not aware of my presence...(note: I was not seeking him out within a dream, I was seeking him out in "reality"...so I believe if this was merely a lucid dream, I would only be able to find him within a dream (his 'dream body' manifested by my mind). But since this was more of a Lucid Dream/OBE hybrid, I had a link to the 'real world' and could seek out his 'real body'.

      Interestingly, before I woke up earlier this same morning, I had been dreaming of a very "Alice in Wonderland" type world. But the world began to break apart, with nothing but darkness surrounding the stepping stone pieces of the "reality environment". We were hopping on, from one piece to the next, as the world broke apart. Between 2 pieces, there was a sort of vortex, that one of the dream characters I was with said was (a worm hole or black hole, I can't remember which ).

      Sidenote: I did happen to watch some videos on wormholes before bed, which definitely influenced this dream?

      I was so tired last night after dance and stuff, which probably accounts for the lack of detailed dream recall.

      I was standing in the middle of a square room with white walls. It was pretty empty, but there was something like a television on one wall. I became lucid and tried to ground myself in the dream, but I already felt the lucidity waning. "Stay lucid," I said to myself, but it faded.

      I again realized I was dreaming after a few moments of walking around the room, but again lost it, even when stopping and really stabilizing and trying to think as much as I could.

    3. Shared Lucid and First Creature Summon

      I'm in a car with my girlfriend, she's driving and we're going to her mom's house. We get there and tell her about the new bunny we just bought named Cuni (pronounced "koo-nee" short for Cuniculus, which is Latin for rabbit) We leave and she's driving again, then I look over and ask: "Is this Roanoak?" she replies yes. I look out the window and notice we're not on the ground anymore and the ground that is visible is waving around like ocean tides, I become lucid. I look over at my girlfriend and tell her: "Babe! This is a dream! We're dreaming right now! This is a shared lucid dream, come on! Become lucid!" She accepts this and I excitedly jump out of the car (holding my girlfriend by the hand, taking her with me). Falling down I notice we have too much speed and I sprout giant white angelic wings, seeing this my girlfriend also grows wings; we then softly come closer to the ground.

      We land on top of a building, in the middle of a dense city filled with giant sky scrapers (like New York City on steroids haha). Since i had the angle wings already I felt that I should have some armor to match, so I look up conceive what it looks like and affirm that I'm wearing it and then look down; wallah! I'm wearing armor similar to that of the Spartans in 300, but instead of the bronze armor it's a deep brown with golden trim; and instead of the red cloth underneath it's tattered, battle-worn black clothe. Since I have all that going on I felt as though I should have a minion of some sort, so I place my hands in front of me with my fingers spread outwards as much as possible. Staring intensely at the ground in front of me, a ring of fire appears in the sand (as there was a large patch of sand in the corner of the rooftop); it started as a single flame from what you might see from a lighter, then it grew on an invisible line forming a perfect circle. I raised my hands towards the sky and the flames followed in suit, what was once a ring of fire was now a column of fire. I put my hands back down and the flames again, followed in suit. Then in the same place where the giant flame column stood, there was a demon with black armor, red skin with great red wings, giant curling horns, cracked hooves, rows upon rows of snarling and drooling teeth, and terribly angry green eyes. It looked at my girlfriend who then proceeded to scream, then it looked back at me and roared; in one fluid movement I leaped in the air towards the demon and with both feet drop kicked him in the face, breaking some of his teeth as well as his nose. Knocked to the ground and beneath my feet the demon was in a daze, I put one foot on either side of his neck and violently twisted, this snapped his neck and killed him.

      I reached out and grabbed a sword and shield (after summoning that insanely awesome demon, conjuring up some weapons came very easy haha) and raised the sword into the air; then from around the corner of one of the buildings flew a majestic Pegasus, it landed in front of me. I hopped on and pulled my girlfriend up, who had summoned a spear and was also wearing similar armor (apparently if she sees me do something, she knows it's possible and is then able to do it as well). Zooming around through this never ending city, this eternal forest of skyscrapers there were fearsome monsters everywhere. I slashed the smaller ones with my sword and held the reins in my shield hand; but then we came across a gigantic cyclops with an enormous wooden club. This beast was just as tall as the buildings (and mind you, these buildings were so tall that I couldn't see their base) and he began swinging his club at us, trying to swat us out of the sky. I doge his attacks one after another, but after several attempts he finally grazes the back end of my winged horse; a mere glance but powerful enough to send us plumeting... i wake up a split second after we're hit.

      Unfortunately, my girlfriend only remembers the first paragraph (actually she doesn't even remember becoming lucid, so only the first half of the first paragraph). I keep telling her to work on her recall, and still she doesn't; oh well, her loss. But like the other shared lucid dream I had, this one was unintentional and just sort of happened. Does anybody else think it's strange that out of my three last lucid dreams, two were shared lucid dreams? Is it normal to have shared lucid dreams that often?

    4. Shared Lucid Retyped

      Ok so I actually already wrote this sometime ago, but this site deleted it (or maybe my comp, idk but something screwed up and I lost my entry before I could post it ) But I'm going to summarize, seeing as how I already wrote it in my paper journal I keep by my bed and I hate writing things twice haha (well... this will be the third time).

      Blue = Non-Lucid

      I was in a dumpy looking trailer, with shag carpeting and it looked so dirty I swear I could see the smell of filth looming in the air. Then suddenly the door burst open, it was my friend Aaron who I haven't spoke to let alone seen in close to a year. Given my environment and this strange reunion, I became lucid. I walked over to him and placed my hand on his back, he seemed so distressed I couldn't just leave him there (DC or not). I tried to talk to him, but it didn't really work out; it was like there was some sort of sealant in my vocal cords. Watching my friend i noticed that he would look at something and concentrate on it as though he were trying to make it explode using only his mind; then he would switch his focus onto another object with the same intensity, changing his focus onto something else about every 3-5 seconds. Breathing heavily he said in a hoarse, angry voice: "Come on man! Lets go outside and start some shit!" Then he sprints through the open doorway into the night. I walk outside the trailer and see terrifyingly dark clouds, a sky that was so violent that the plumes of clouds would make it from one horizon to the opposite in less then a second or two. It made me want to run back inside so I could hide from these almost villainous clouds, but I walked out further into the night; the sky became angrier and angrier with every step I took, then I woke up.

      I fell back asleep and reaffirmed my REM cycle before I woke up too much
      In this second dream of the night i was in some sort of public pool/gym. I had much of my focus on the water slides and pools and enjoyed myself a great deal as I splashed down their slopes and ramps. Then I landed under one of those mushroom shaped water pumps you see at many public pools (normally in the kid section) this is where I saw my friend Aaron yet again. (Semi-lucid) He gave me this strange apparatus which he had just sucked on, I proceeded to do the same. I don't know if you've ever done drugs but this felt EXACTLY like waking-life drugs, it amazed me how I knew that I was breathing oxygen sitting in my bed yet I was still able to feel these effects as though I were breathing some sort of inhalant. We continued to suck on this smokeless drug until I woke up.

      So as I stated in the dream, I hadn't seen or even spoke with this friend in close to a year. After I had this dream though he contacted me, and asked me the first question he had asked me in over a year: "Did you have a lucid dream last night?" We then proceeded to exchange stories and were amazed how similar they were. The only difference was that he identified the public pool simply as a public gym, as in his dream experience most of his focus was on the weight machines; and mine was on the water slides. He asked if he had been acting "strange" in any part of the dream, because he told me that he has trouble controlling his emotions while lucid. Describing his typical behavior in lucid dreams matched perfectly with how he was acting in the trailer; being over-focused, yet still distracted.

    5. Finally another Lucid!

      This is my first time posting on this new blog thing since I took a break from DV for a while. I finally had a lucid while I was at my friend's house the other day. It's been a couple of days, so I don't remember what happened in the non lucid part because I didn't have a DJ to write in.

      *A bunch of non lucid dreams here*

      I am with my friend and we are in his room. I can slightly sense I am dreaming. This lucidity is weak. There is a small part of me that knows I am dreaming, but there is still some doubt. The fact that I didn't even thinking of stabilizing proves this. There comes a point where I needed to pay for something, and I knew I had only a couple of dollars with me. So when I'm reaching into my pocket, I imagine myself pulling out a lot of money. When I pull out the money, it works, and I have a nice wad of 100 dollar bills. Sweet I tell myself. I do some other stuff I can't remember and I am walking out to my car. I go to open the trunk and instead of unlocking it manually, I just imagine the trunk already being unlocked and sure enough, it is.

      I then decide I want to show my friend that was with me that I could control anything. I say, "Hey watch this. See how I only have these 2 quarters? When I reach into my pocket, I'm gonna pull out a bunch more." So I reach into my pocket once again but I can't get myself to pull out more quarters. I try 2 more times and on the last try I finally pull out more, but only like two more.

      I then wake up and I'm very disappointed that I couldn't do more. I am also sad that it wasn't full lucidity. I wasn't in full control of my actions, but I slightly knew I was dreaming.

    6. Second Lucid! City Cartoon Scape

      I am so excited that it hasnt even been a week and I have had my second lucid dream!

      I started in a house like a country style house, very nice and detailed. It had a lot of mirrors and things and all I remember from this point is that I was walking frantically back and forth and I had went to the back room and turned around and walked into the hallway. Then I stopped in front of a mirror and looked at myself. I was a old man. Then it hit me that I was in a dream! The feeling of it changing from non lucid to lucid was amazing I can feel the change in my brain. I then turned back into myself and felt myself coming out of the dream. Then I spun around right quick and everything was great. Spinning for me is the best which I found out from my first lucid dream. I put my hands up and concentrated on them but i did that just in case lol. Well then I ran down the hall and I think i felt myself coming out again and I spun around while running. Then there was a glas door leading outside and I went outside and there was a tree. Well I told myself I wanted to be in a city after I woke up from my last lucid dream so I was walking in a circle around this tree and I wanted a door to appear. Then the branched hung really low so as I was walking the door appeared from a low hanging branch (hard to explain) I then saw something through the door but it wasnt the city scape I wanted. I began to think about the city scape and walk around it one more time. Then I looked through it again and i still didnt see what I wanted but i walked through anyway (The door didnt have a door door... it was just the frame) When I walked through I saw a cartoony style landscape and purple trees and wierd odd things I cant really remember. Then I looked to my right and saw my city scape but it was alll cartoony and there was futuristic style cars and flying cars and like 4 or 5 levels of sidewalks floating. Then I concertrated on the grass I was standing on. It was really cartoony and fake looking. I nelt down and looked at it and it was all pixlelated and weird looking. I was disappointed cause I was expecting a realistic landscape. Then I woke up unfortunately. Oh another thing I felt my dream really unstable... I cant describe the feeling I felt I knew I was lucid and at the vurge of waking up but I wasnt sure how to get in my dream completely without that feeling. I could feel myself breathing and things it was such a odd feeling. Yet again I felt myself laying in bed yet I was standing in my dream.
    7. Last night's lucid

      In the dream, I preformed the hand reality check, and noticed I had a finger protruding from my middle finger at a 45 degree angle, and I realize I am dreaming. The only thing I remember from the dream is trying to fly. I jumped, and shot up 20 feet, then fell back down. I did this three times, then woke up.

    8. Loss of Hope

      When I became lucid I had woken up. It wasn't excitement that I was lucid that awoke me, I think it was part of my dream and I started doing this in my bed :/

      The Blaze Date: 8/24/10; Lucid: Yes
      My mother is talking on the phone to one of her friends. It is really dark outside. I notice the gas fireplace to my right. Suddenly I look at my house, as if I was outside the house now, and it is on fire. I'm yelling at my mother because she left the gas on and the house caught fire. I was so pissed. I was cussing her out and then she started cussing at me. I felt so sad now, I had just lost my home, my life, my everything. I'm sitting on a mattress now, for some reason there are beds outside my house? And I'm filled with so much dread because I lost my home. I take my fist and start banging my head thinking "I wish I could just go back in time and prevent my house from blowing up."

      I felt everything I did. My dream disappeared and a brief vast whiteness flashes by and I wake up. [I'm now in my bed, not dreaming, looking at the clock on my wall.]

      Dream signs: When I desperately want to change something, prevent, or escape, I become lucid a bit, being able to change the setting, the characters, my actions, and other peoples actions.

      Why so Angry?

      I Gradually became lucid somewhere. It started off I was flying around and I was trying to land. There were people below i was talking to. One guy saw me try to land a few times and not quite making it. He said flying looked dangerous. I was flying over some barren landscape. I somehow managed to land in some torn up building.

      Becoming even more lucid i began to touch everything to sustain the dream. After a while of this I decided to look for Asuka. I kept thinking "Asuka" in my head and trying to open a portal. I walked through the doorway of the torn up building. I found myself on a street. I came to a four way stop and saw Asuka walking towards me. I think I said "hi" and then she turned towards a tall brown house. I didn't recognize the house and asked if it was ours. She said yes.

      I went in the house and went downstairs Asuka was with me. I asked her if she is aware of my waking thoughts? She said no. I pondered how that's possible because so many times I've only thought of things me and her can do and then the next night i dream that very thing. Her answer kind of disturbed me. She didn't seem to be paying much attention to me. I then asked her if she dreams at all when she sleeps. She didn't answer.

      For some reason her non response angered me. I said "OK it was a stupid question to ask." A wave of anger hit me again and I grabbed a door and ripped it off it's hinges and then I slammed it against an outside corner. Asuka ran up to me with her eyes wide. I was surprised by my own reaction and immediately began to apologies when I woke up.


      FA, And i have a long and hard thinking session about the dream. Why wasn't Asuka answering me? Why was she ignoring me? how come she didn't seem to care that I was lucid? I concluded that it's a possibility that it may not have been her.

      I remember becoming lucid in front of some weird foggy guy but that's all I remember.

      I remember being on facebook asking a kid if he wanted to play starcraft. Suddenly he was much older and said that he lived in calgary.

      I remember a non lucid where I was following asuka. She had blond hair. I remember walking up beside her and grabbing hands. We held hands while we continued walking wherever,

    10. First Lucid

      My first (seemingly) lucid dream, using the WILD technique.

      This is my first ever attempt at lucid dreaming and i decided to jump into the deep end and try wild.

      I had been in bed for about an hour and a half, trying to keep stay remain awake, while my body went to sleep.

      It seemed to happen, my eyes were twitching very fast then suddenly it felt as i fell through the mattress and started spinning.

      What happened next is a bit of a mystery to me, it seems that i had a false awakening, because immediately after i woke up in bed, but failed to remember to do reality checks, i then fell asleep again. Upon falling asleep i dreamt i was in a white room, with a door infront of me and images of sponge bob circled the door. Upon opening it i woke up again, this time i did reality checks and i was indeed awake.
    11. The First

      Date: Aug.22/23 Sunday
      Time: around 8:40 am

      Description: To start off I want to explain something. I had this as my very 1st lucid dream to date that I can remember. I had another more lucid one right after this with more details and events and more control, but I will post that at a future time. Most of this is straight out of my dream journal by my bed. I also apologize if it doesn't seem like there weren't many details, the dream really only lasted about 1 minute.

      Dream: The dream starts off with me looking at a stack of ps3 games and on top of them are ps2 games, I can't remember any of the titles but I think the very top ps2 game was NHL 2003. As I look at the stack I rotate them to see their spines. The games are sitting on my wooden brown desk at the center. I am sitting on my knees on the ground, and I notice my nephew on my computer struggling to play the ps2 games (pcsx2 for anyone that knows the program). So I tell him to move over so I can go to set it up. He gives me this look of frustration as he looks at the clock in my room, which I think (he never tells me, but I assume) that he has to go soon, that him and his dad are leaving. I tell him "Chill dude, it takes an hour to setup anyways." As I look at the screen and see some text, the text onscreen seem to shift and shake (that could of been my eyes, kind of like the shaky vision you get from drinking to much alcohol) and strange runic symbols appear. At that precise moment I yell out "HOLY CRAP, I AM DREAMING!" My stomach goes to butterflies and I get really excited. I fall backwards, and the scene starts to zoom out, I get the feeling you get when going down hills on a roller coaster, and now I am in a black void so to speak, I instantly remember the spinning technique that Laberge created. To re stabilize the dream, it works for a moment as I zoom back into the dream, I notice someone was sitting to my right, the lights were off and the glow of the computer screen was the only light source, I don't know who this third person was, my suspect is my nephews younger brother. I don't know. Now I zoom back out as soon as I touch down in the scene again but I kinda of lose consciousness so to speak. Now I imagine myself spinning, now a new seen appears where I am high above a city with lots of buildings, they all have a purple glow about them, I can tell it is night time, cause I see the windows have lights coming from out them. I am above the city, but again lose consciousness again (I mean everything turns pitch black) and I shoot out of my real bed, it takes me a moment to collect myself as this was the most intense thing of my life.

      Other details: One extra detail I need to say, is once I went lucid, the feeling of being there was so real, except for it feeling like my body was kind of heavy or light, gravity on me seemed way different.

      So there it is, I hope you guys have comments, I am interested in what you have to say about the experience, and it was an experience cause I really was there, it wasn't a memory of a dream, I was there!
    12. Taking innitiative, without control.

      I thought I would just upload some of my dreams I have recorded in my DJ. Also a few past dreams I had when I was younger.

      Mythic Date: Unknown; Lucid: Yes
      This dream is one from the past. I was this strange creature, blue, with colorful designs, bipod like. I was in this strange world, blue skys - littered with clouds, beige rocky canyon with very shallow water running in it, like a tributary but the water was a bout 2 inches deep. Very warm. Waterfalls pouring into a shallow pond/lake. I remember seeing a female version of my species, whom I felt VERY attracted too. Like your first love or true love, this was the affection I had for her.

      I remember a ship dusting off and departing from the the world, and me and my counterpart had waved a goodbye as it left. I assume it dropped us off on this to colonize/repopulate? seeing as how we were the only species of our type on it. I remember seeing kids, for some reason I think they were mine so im assuming I have good relationship skills. This was one of my favorite dreams, the feeling of deep affection for someone is like none other.

      Slenderman Date: 8/17/10; Lucid: No
      I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with the Slenderman but this is my dream about it. I was in this Halloween looking town, dark with reds and oranges and blacks. I see decorations of witches and pumpkins. I'm in a group of 3 people. Me, an attractive woman with red dyed hair, and the Slenderman. Suddenly my dream switches settings.

      I'm now in an underground bunker, that seems run down but not derelict. It is populated with humans and it seems to be a commuter town. Water is draining from plumbing pipes that are sticking out of the cracking/breaking walls. I now switch over to the attractive woman. I remember sitting in bed with a drape over the side, it is very bright and I remember talking to the Slenderman. Now I switch roles again and I am the Slenderman. I seem to be thinking of evil intentions but not acting on them.

      Technicality Date: 8/22/10; Lucid: No
      Im using my laptop. The setting is my room. On my laptop I'm using BitTorrent for some reason. I appear to be downloading some program that doesn't exist.

      I'm now in my old town that I moved from. I remember my neighborhood and how nostalgic it is. Nothing more after this.

      Pokemon and Civil Wars Date: 8/23/10; Lucid: No
      This is a strange one. I'm not sure why I even dreamed about this. I see Team Rocket from Pokemon. I mean, the original Team Rocket, Jesse and James. It appears to be a live action reenactment of the show, but the actors look just like the anime characters. They were having a talk at a dinner table and discussing over something. Then the live action actors turned into the anime characters as the dream went on.

      Now I'm waking up, preparing for classes for college. I'm taking a shower but now my friends are in my house, talking and planning to do something. I change my clothes and walk downstairs to my deck. I look outside and see the Civil War happening in my backyard. I see a Confederate man and a Union man fighting. At this point, they both lose ammo, pull swords out and slice at each other. The Confederate wounds the Union soldier and then he executes him with a primitive pistol. Suddenly, the British from the American Revolution start charging at the Confederate and they kill him. I dont see blood or anything in this.

      Nightmares and Death Date: Unknown; Lucid: Yes
      I had a nightmare of being chased by rabid dogs. Huge dogs. I remember being bitten and not feeling the pain, but I felt shock and panic. I finally thought to myself "ENOUGH!" and the dream stopped in its tracks. I then proceeded to dream about more relaxing dreams. I've never had a nightmare since.

      I remember being on the Empire State building. I'm looking over the city, although its just a few skyscrapers and nothing more. Next thing I know, I'm falling, though I do not feel the experience of falling. I hit the ground, but instead of waking up, I wind up in a white room. Nothing but white. I cannot detail the size of the room but for some reason it seems big, unfathomable.

      There's something about vampires.
      There's definitely something about vampires. But was the vampire thing before or after the cafeteria? I don't know. Let's pretend it was before.
      [COLOR="royalblue"]I'm some evil guy, fighting another guy. There has been vampires involved, but I have been trying to turn into a vampire, and I know the final steps to become one. Apperantly, I just need to drink a lot of blood now, so I try to scratch this other guy as much as I can, and I'm sort of chasing him around a black and red evil-looking pillar. A pillar which apperantly also helps me become a vampire. I don't know what happened to the other humans or vampires, whether the vampires were killed or if it was the humans, and in that case I don't know who killed them, or if they all died... But one thing is certain, this big, dark, evil-looking room only has me and the survivor human in it. Maybe we used to be friends?

      I think we got out of there, there was something about a pool, and a big white house, a bit like that christmas level in Hitman Bloodmoney, except with more summer and blue pool. You know, high up in the mountains, [/COLOR](Not sure about that)[COLOR="royalblue"] white, square, modern arcitechture [/COLOR](Has to be white, right?)[COLOR="royalblue"], and guards walking around with uzi's and black suits.
      Obviously, a shootout came out of this. I think I was hiding behind a small white wall right next to the pool, maybe I even emerged from the pool? Anyways, there were guards everywhere, around the pool and coming down a long staircase from an upper level of the house.
      Again, I'm not sure if this was before or after...

      I'm in a canteen, or a cafeteria. I think I might be on a school, but I don't think I go to this school. Maybe I'm new and I just don't recognize people. I think there are 2 or 3 people that I know who are, so I just follow them, but I don't really [I]know[/I] them, so the situation is quite awkward; We're standing in a huge queue, waiting to get some food at the counter. I feel slightly claustrophobic. I get my food and sit down at a table, I realize that there's a bunch of stuff missing on my plate. Apperantly I dropped a lot of it on the floor, under the table. Luckily, it was in some sort of packaging, so I just reached down and picked it up again. I don't remember eating anything, because I think I decided to get out of there.
      I went to the end of the room, not the way we came from, a lonely, gray door at the end of the room.
      I enter it, and I'm in a long, white-gray, boring looking hallway with lots of identical, boring, gray doors.
      I enter one of them, and now I'm in an equally boring, tiny room with absolutely nothing in it. This didn't amuse me, so I made a door in the wall in front of me out of thin air. I entered it - another small, boring room with nothing in it. But this room already has 2 doors in front of me. I take the left one.
      Now I'm in a similar room, but this one has been lived in, so it looks a lot more alive - But it still gave off that nerd-who-never-cleans-up-and-never-goes-out feel to it. An overall gray feeling still remained.
      There was a man lying on a couch, watching TV, I think he was holding a can of soda or beer. He looks like he's somewhere between 25 and 35 years old, he's got short, brown hair. [/COLOR](In dream, I don't recognize him, my Dream Intuition tells me he's a gymnasium teacher at the school I was just at, and in retrospect, I think he reminded me a little of Remus Lupin, perhaps more than just in looks.)[COLOR="royalblue"]
      I notice there are a bunch of drawings on the wall right next to the TV and the couch (it's a very small room), I start talking to him. I tell him that drawing like that, random doodles on his wall seemed like a thing I would do. We had a nice conversation, but I forgot pretty much all of it. Somehow, our conversation turns to lucid dreaming, and I suddenly realize that this could be a dream. With a smirk and a feeling of mild interest, I pinch my nose and close my mouth. The teacher is looking at me, looking interested and expectant.[/COLOR]
      [COLOR="darkorchid"]I try to breathe, and sure enough, it's easy to. I'm amazed, confused and a little sceptical. I continue to converse with the teacher, but it's kind of a one-way communication, as I'm probably more thinking to myself. I think for a moment about what I should do. Should I head outside and fly? But then I realize that I don't know where the exits in the canteen is, I think it's a little too bothersome so I decide to stay,[/COLOR] (Laziness at it's peak.)[COLOR="darkorchid"] besides, I'm not entirely convinced that it's a dream yet. I do the nose pinch RC a few times, but now it's a little less clear; I can breathe alright, but the breathing is slightly restricted when I do it. I decide I need to perform another test, even though I'm still in the mindset that this actually is a dream. There's two doors in the room, one right beside TV which leads back, and another door on the wall opposite to the wall with the drawings. I open this door: A huge croud of people is standing in a circle, this door led back to the canteen. I look around on people's faces. I see three people talking, and I turn and see 4 people all in a big conversation, doing their own thing, completely unrelated to anything I could have made up. I notice that their clothings is so different, so colorful and various. The entire crowd is so extremely vivid that I simply decide that the dream is too vivid [/COLOR][COLOR="royalblue"]to be a dream, there was no way that I could have created all those people so vividly and alive.[/COLOR]
    14. Night of 8/21-8/22

      I'm pretty sure I just had my first lucid dream. It seemed kind of long at the time but I may only remember some bits and pieces now, gonna try to get down as much as I can. And it's weird, it feels so foggy now. Was a very intriguing experience. There was another dream before it but I want to get down as much of the lucid as I can so I'm writing it first.

      I'm trying to recall what it was that triggered the reality check. I think it was that I was laying in bed or on the phone with my wife and she said something absurd (I think it had something to do with her saying she was on her way home from class at university, and I quickly realized she doesn't go to school in reality) that caused me to quickly consider that this isn't real and pull a nose-pinch reality check. I was able to breathe like my nose was just a little stuffy despite the nose-pinch. There was an obligatory, "Holy shit, I'm lucid!" moment. To keep the dream from fading from excitement and to calm down, I closed my eyes and (for whatever reason) pictured a topographical map key. Feeling it was stable, I opened my eyes, did another reality check (marveling of course at how weird it was to be breathing through a pinched nose, and then started wandering my environment. I seemed to be in what looked and felt like my old house on Broadway. I was a little unprepared for my first lucid; I hadn't thought of anything cool to do. The first thing I did was go into the bathroom. I figured since I was lucid I might as well start playing around with how well I could control it. I went to the door of the bathroom and decided I'd summon something on the floor outside and close the door to see if it appeared; I arbitrarily chose cake, and then I sort of glanced up and back down and it was there on the floor, slightly stale and with a big slice missing--I didn't even have to close the door. Happy, I went to the big picture window out front and continued experimenting by swapping between night and day by closing my eyes for a second then looking at the sky. I noted some unusual mixed success, namely whenever I wanted it to be day or night it would literally only be just starting day or night (ie at dawn or dusk). It's a little foggy if there was something occurring between now and what happened next, but the next thing I remember was that I was quickly running out of ideas for things to do, so I thought, "Well, I've always wanted to experience sex as a woman, let's give that a try." So I went back to the bathroom (it's notable that the previous time it was the bathroom from the old Broadway house, but it was now the bathroom from my previous apartment on Oak Street), stripped down, then looked in the mirror. Quick comment after the fact, the mirror worked just fine for its purpose in the dream, but before transforming I started in my normal dream avatar--which is myself as I recognize but much thinner. I was able to transform myself by pointing to the parts of my body that I wanted to transform and focusing on them. I started with breasts, then moved on to my penis. I recall being amused/annoyed that as I was shrinking my penis my foreskin wasn't shrinking with it so I had to do that separate. I started to get a little impatient so I just waved my hand around in front of my crotch and looked up at the ceiling to try to speed things up. Eventually everything looked pretty good, wasn't perfect, and I noticed that at some point I had lost all my body hair without intentionally trying to, but it was good enough for a first attempt. I was trying to decide what I wanted to do first with my new body when I noticed I sorta needed to pee so I decided to get that out of the way first, so I did. Just that was an unusual new physical sensation. There was some toilet paper sitting in the bathtub next to the toilet, so I grabbed some to clean things up a bit (since I was planning to shortly be playing around down there soon anyways); as I was cleaning up the phone rang and I answered it. The voice on the other end was some woman trying to tell me about how there were cloths in the tub that I could use for whatever but to leave them there so she could wash them later (I noticed here that it was hard to focus on what was happening now while I was on the phone trying to listen). I looked back into the tub and the toilet paper had been replaced by dark blue cloth. I shortly regretted flushing a few of them down the toilet. I checked the mirror one last time to see if things were still good and then went back out to the living room. I'm think there may have been somewhere here where I experimented with my new body, but if so unfortunately I don't remember it. Eventually there appeared in my house (as though she was familiar with the place) a thin, light-skinned black girl. Delighted to find another person to help me experiment with my new body, I asked her if she wanted to have sex with me. She seemed apprehensive; focusing on her I first removed her clothes then, noting of course that she too was female and thus would make proper copulation difficult, made her instantly grow a penis. She wasn't very amused by this, however, and she angrily stormed off to the basement. Shrugging, and once again bored, I decided to turn my attention on mentally recreating graphic-update remakes of old school video games I love in my mind for entertainment. I started with what I assume was Final Fantasy 6, though thinking on it after the fact the action doesn't match up properly with the game (though I specifically recall Terra's appearance). At some point this was interrupted with my wife calling, when she called what had been the video game scene taking up my entire stream of consciousness suddenly appeared as though I'd taken it out of full-screen mode on my monitor on my computer at my current apartment. I even had my headphones on, so I had to remove one of side of them to expose an ear for the phone like I usually do. I was annoyed at the distraction but answered the phone anyways. I don't remember the contents of the actual phone message, but I note again after the fact that it started to break my lucid concentration. The last part I remember now was going down to the basement where I found the black girl (who had now been transformed into some sort of small Pokémon-like creature) cuddling on a table with another small Pokémon-like creature. Saying, "Oh, so you'll have sex with him but not me!" and did my own storming-off-angrily upstairs and back to the living room, where I waved my hand and did some sort of mental slash across the table they were lying on and killing them both. My memory of this dream ends here, though when I woke I seemed to think that there was more non-lucid dream that came after this. I awoke just prior to starting this journal entry and did a quick reality check that passed, officially ending my first lucid dream.

      Note to self: be wary about answering phones once you're lucid; it seems to help break lucid focus. In fact, I'm going to try to make an effort to start reality checks whenever answering and/or ending phone calls. I'm going to try to remember that the next thing on my agenda for practice when a dream goes lucid is controlling the environment; this time I kind of let the environment do what it wanted around me.

      There was a dream sequence either prior to or leading up to where it went lucid. There was a long prelude to most of what I remember, but the bulk of what I remember was that there was this stretch of interstate that I would drive down as though I was in a GTA-ish sandbox type game and try to score points on this segment of highway. The segment of highway was kind of a long straight section with a curve off to the right. I'm thinking I may have lost more memory of this dream out of excitement for the lucid one, so maybe more will come back to me later.

      Amazing OBE -- I'm sleeping in the basement of my grandparents house when I actually go to sleep. I had already slept for about 7 hours, just going back for a nap. After falling asleep I wake up very groggily and climb over the foosball table, slowly. I had risen from the same position that I fell asleep. I'm not sure of the details, but I went to the bathroom and at some point it dawned upon me.. I thought in my mind " I can't believe that I didn't lucid dream... Unless I'm dreaming right now!" I then did a reality check, I held my nose and tried to breath through it, and I could breath clearly even with my nose pinched shut. I found that every time I did this, the dreamworld became more clear and more real. I walked upstairs to find a totally different architecture in the house. It was unbelievable.... It was so vivid and real that I was forced to reality check every minute so that I wouldn't forget it was a dream. I decided I wanted to do something extreme, so after checking again and again to make sure it was a dream, I ran out the front window and flew out over the river. I became so excited and my heart was racing so fast because it was so lifelike... My eyes opened and there I was, back in the basement, awake in real life.*
