    1. Iron Maiden Concert [Lucid]

      by , 10-11-2010 at 06:07 PM
This has been my longest lucid to date. The dream itself felt like it lasted probably around 30 minutes or so, but reflecting on it, it feels so much faster than that.

I don't know exactly when my lucidity hit me, but I just know it did. However, prior to being lucid: I was in some lodge like area with someone I didn't recognize. out of the blue I was told that Iron Maiden (and more specifically Steve Harris) would be arriving momentarily. I turned crazy with anxiety. The moment they arrived I asked them to sign whatever I had, and they ended up signing my Zero shirt. I don't remember much else, except at one point I couldn't walk and collapsed to the floor because I was so filled with joy.

Somehow, the dream transitioned to a concert arena. Like I mentioned, I don't know exactly what triggered lucidity, but it happened. I started walking around trying to meet people. There was a loot of people obviously. I remember walking through a crowd at one point and I saw a completely original face of a girl-- not one from my memories-- and she just stood out. I don't know why, but I felt she was another dreamer, somehow in my dream. She looked just as confused as I was to see her. I walked up to her, held her close and whispered in her ear "I'm Markus. Remember this moment." as I leaned back to look in her eyes they widened greatly, and she simply dissipated-- maybe she woke up, maybe I'm crazy and it was all me from the beginning-- who knows!

I went back to a seat and sat down to see if my dream would make Iron Maiden perform. and they did. a strange moment followed where a row behind me, several people started singing the lyrics to a song (I can't remember which), but they were horribly monotone. I also remember it wasn't one of my favourite songs. After this occurrence, Maiden went off stage for the encore part and the crowd was restless. I realized it's my dream, Maiden doesn't get to have a break! I shouted "Play another song!" and bam, they were back on stage, playing music again. I listen to a lot of music, and one thing I've noticed about my mind is I really have songs engrained in my brain. when I'm in dreams, I can have music playback to me just like an MP3 player. I kept shouting "Next!", and Maiden would switch to a completely new song. it was exhilarating. Eventually they finished and I decided to walk around and check out the crowd some more.

somehow, in the midst of walking around the giant rows and rows of chairs, they started to shrink more and more until there was about 2 rows of chairs, and the setting changed to my room. I didn't want this to be where I was, because any time I'm lucid and it's in my room, I end up thinking about waking life too much which ruins my lucidity and wakes me up. I've tried the spinning method before to change locations, but I've never been successful. Until now. I thought of traveling to a Forrest type location, and spun and spun. I could see the faint imagery of trees and clung to it. I was teleported to one of the most visually stunning landscapes I've ever seen.

It was a majestic looking country-esque location, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Rolling grass fields in the distance, and closer to me where two houses, both with interesting log-cabing-esque looks to them. I went past one into the 'backyard' per say (there were no fences or boundaries)..and saw an amazing view. The season was somehow a mix of summer and fall at the same time, and it was gorgeous. Trees had no leaves, but there were many of them--and all across my field of vision, these strange sunflower things were floating around-- I'll try and recreate an image. It was as if the heads of the sunflower plants were just floating from the sky, and it was beautiful.

They looked roughly like this (sorry for quick and sloppy photoshop) :

I kept walking through this beautiful scenic field until I came to a mountain. I gazed up at it, and already knew what I was going to do. I thrusted up from the ground and took flight. As I flew over it I was speechless..I started loosing altitude, but I realized it's because I was too focused on trying to fly-- I just had to know that I could fly. and it picked up again. After that, I remember mumbling to myself "You are the one, neo" (I'm a huge nerd). I came upon a city scape quite fast and landed in it. I remember I was changing a bunch of things completely on the fly-- the city seemed to have a lot of police and SWAT members in it for some reason and it was giving me a bad vibe-- so I just willed them away. Poof. gone. The city also looked kind of dark itself, like it was build some time ago, not like slums per say.. but just old. I decided to change that. I said "lighten up these buildings" and they were transformed into newer looking gray skyscrapers. I kept changing small things here and there until I was distracted. I realized I should probably have some sort of goal, and was put off that I didn't know what the DV task of the month was, because it would have been an excellent time to do it. Shortly after I spent time thinking about goals, the dream collapsed and I woke up.

This was my longest lucid to date. It was absolutely astonishing. I cannot wait for more.
    2. Drawing portals

      by , 10-09-2010 at 02:20 PM
      Dream of October 9th, 2010

      Well….. I’m making progress. ^_^

Last night I attempted a WILD, but it didn’t work, although later I ended up having a DILD. I can’t quite remember how it happened because I had two dreams last night and in the first one I was lucid.

In the dream I was at a house where a lady was and maybe my sisters. The lady that was there ended up chasing me, but I can’t remember why. To escape her I flew, which caused me to suddenly realize, “Hey, I’m dreaming”. Strangely, I started to feel almost like I was dreaming and awake at the same time, like I could feel light near my eyelids in bed, so I tried to concentrate on the dream and make it stabilize, and I tried to remember my goals. After flying for a ways I either teleported or my flight just brought me to a different area. The area I was in was quite dark, and I think I was in a building. I tried thinking about my goals again.

The first thing that came to my head when I was thinking about goals was making a portal, and going to Hyrule. I had imagined many times in waking life how I would make a portal. I would draw an oval like shape in the air and then the air would shimmer inside the oval and on the other side I would be able to see my destination; it did not go as I had planned. When I went to draw the portal a blue marker materialized in my hand. I used the marker and drew an oval in the air. The air did not shimmer like I had wanted, and when I put my head through the floating oval I found that I was still in the same area, but I was determined to make it work.

I took my head out of the floating drawing of an oval and then I focused my will and tried to rub the area inside the oval as if I were trying to defog a window; it worked. The area I had rubbed started to become a semi-transparent image of a underground tunnel. Rubbing the air was difficult, for I had to focus to keep my hand from just going through the oval, but I managed. Eventually I had a big enough area to go through and there was now a clear opaque image of a scene on the other side. Now I had to figure out how to get through the floating window; I decided that I would break it.

I smashed the floating window and bits of glass, or something of that nature, fell onto the ground. Now it seemed like there was a big hole floating in the air. I jumped into the hole. Once I was through the hole I saw that I had indeed made a portal, for I was now in a completely different area, but unfortunately not in Hyrule. I remember running or flying down the tunnel after that and meeting some enemies but I can’t remember what happened after that, and think it might have been because I had woken up.

      --------------------

My second dream involved a game. There was this shadowy inky stuff that infected people and somewhat controlled them. I was flying around in the area, which was a valley with a crater lake on one side and a tower on the other. I flew by the tower when the black goop tried to attack me. The goop was trying to control me but I wouldn’t let it. I flew away and saw a group of people who appeared to have been infected by the goop and some other people who weren’t infected. The two groups started fighting each other and I could hear the infected telling them “Join us, give in”, or something of that nature.

After that the dream turned into even more of a game, well, more like a game editor. My sisters were there and they were telling me what to make. I was able to use the characters and set them up in different areas, change their personalities, and basically just change the whole story. My sisters and I ended up deciding on a story about a large black dragon, and soon after I woke up.
    3. OctobGOAL

      by , 10-09-2010 at 12:12 PM
Shazam, one monthly goal down, 2 t'go.

LD 3 is in the bag, I'm a bit sad I didn't remember to try and summon my Sub (Or for that matter, talk to anyone/thing...) but I did try some tests and expressed a bit of dream control. It's also my first LD where I didn't HAVE t'do 2 RCs (Though I did RC twice out of choice.)

Can't write out the entire thing, but it was a mostly easily interpreted dream. Of note of the things I did were: Enter a mirror, summon 3 weapons, will clarity, test a 'head shake' (Instead of a spin... Worked... At the cost of lucidity.)

I'll also note I didn't need to calm myself after becoming lucid. (Though I should've gone through the motions anyway...)
    4. Restarting my Dream journal

by , 10-08-2010 at 05:35 AM (AnthonyMo's New Dream Journal)
Okay here we go. After months of not lucid dreaming, I have gotten tired of not having dreams.. I am going to have lucid dreams again and i will have to start up this journal again.

Tomorrow there should be a sort of dream recall anyway..

    5. TWO lucid dreams. Testing common DV things

by , 10-08-2010 at 12:52 AM (Dreaming on my feet)
      Type: Lucid, fragmented, experimental.
      Lucidity: [3/10]
      Vividness: [2/10]

Well first of all let me say that having another lucid dream is a very reassuring thing to me, and also motivating - shows that my efforts, readings from all of you in the forums and books, are all having some sort of productive, positive effect! I tried for a year before I had my first LD, and was worried it was just random/by chance, but that occured on the 20th of September, so this was only a little more than two weeks apart. My LD goal was to have two lucid dreams by October 31st, and I've already accomplished that so early int he month. Woot.

      Anyways, the dreams-

First dream of the night I'm at a house party with people my age or just a little bit younger. Lots of fun, I'm drinking vodka but I really do not like vodka much , so I ask somebody if I can trade for their whiskey but am rejected so I go mix it with something and drink it anways [should've been a DS since I stopped drinking]. Lots of girls , really good time, pretty average sized house a little big, white walls and completely dark outside windows. Suddenly we learn that the cops are coming, and there are underage people there so we clean up remarkably fast and efficiently and there is only food and soda out. The cops pull up and are standing outside the door but don't knock for some reason, so I open the door and ask "How may I help you, officer?" and he responds by asking me why I just opened the door [which was pretty funny]. I"m worried since I don't want to be arresting purchasing for minors but they wind up arresting two other guys for completely unrelated reasons to the party and leave without trouble. I remember one of the guys having a bright orange bandana, plain, that just struck me as odd, possibly another DS.

I have another dream after that with the same cast of DC riding bikes or hanging otu near a lake outside, talking to girls, very summer ish, everything green nice big sky .
[it's autumn now, no green to be seen]

So I don't recall precisly how I became lucid or the dream leading up to it but this is what I remember of the first one

I'm walking along a cobblestone path, woods on either side of me, and I decide to RC for a reason I cannot recall. I do the looking at hands technique, and then the pinch-ing nose technique and it passes and I verify that I am dreaming. Last time I got over excited and frantically repeated to myself "I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming!" and lost control after about 15 seconds, so this time I was determined to remain calm and gently remind myself, which worked perfectly. I look at the ground, trying to focus my vision and repeat "stabilize" four times, without much effect, at least compared to the effect I expected it to have. Perhaps I just didn't repeat it emphatically enough, will try again in future. I felt a huge sensation of energy and heat flow through my body when I became lucid, and it was very pleasurable. The next part is a bit hazy, I'm kind of jumping around a house, through corridors, checking out rooms, wondering if I'm actually dreaming and keep RCing, worried that I'll hurt myself by flying or something. Almost walk in on my mom in the bathroom but she yells at me [weird but silly], I can't really think of what I want to do, not incredible lucidity or vividness, so I think "oh what the hell, I'll have sex" [since men can always think of that in any situation], so I enter a bathroom, big and plain with shower and big jacuzzi bathtub, ready for sex, and a gay guy is standing in there, and when I walk in he pulls down his pants and bends over, but thankfully his body is kind of plasticy and not incredibly realistic. At first I'm like "meh, it's just a dream, just want to test realness" but don't because.. well.. I'd rather have sex with a gorgeous woman! So I tell him that I want to have sex with the most beautiful woman, somebody I don't know, and he says fine and leaves the room, so I imagine the sexiest woman I can think of and she walks in the room. I must've put too much attention on the woman because when she came in I was viewing it in 3rd person, lucidity wavering but I've never experienced that so I didn't think to stabilize. So she kind of turned plastic-ish and kind of became a doll and the dream faded away

So I woke up from the dream, was about to record it in my DJ but first did a RC just for the hell of itand the nose pinch RC did to for me AGAIN! Awesome, glad I've been practicing that one in RL. False awaking FTW. So I'm lucid in my room, and decide to leave, walk out and I'm in a house different from where my room is, long hallway with windows, so I open the window and think about summoning a bow or sword to act out some Zelda situations [since my alarm is Zelda game boy tunes], but decide I don't really want to do that and fly out of the window to the ground, woods on both sides, dark sky like just after sunset, and a lake infront of me. As I was flying I tried to change the dream scene so I started to spin with my arms out and thought about going to a strip club to try the sex thing again, and closed my eyes, but amazing enough even though my eyes were closed, I guess my "dream eye"[?] wasn't closed with enough resolution and I could still see the scene around me, and the technique failed. So I'm on the ground and remember my intention/ goal to morph into an aquatic creature. So first I attempt running on water, and go across a small section of the lake, and it works, though I'm submerged up past my knees rather than on top, and my legs are burning from running/pedalling so fast. But still cool. So I'm on the other side, and a car drives into the water from around the bend, like on a highway completely natural, and I see the huge headlights under the water, and decide to dive in to get in the car and see what that's like, then try to morph, but at this time my ALARM goes off and I wake up

So yeah, those are my lucids! Not incredibly vivid, but I'm very excited about them anyways. The first one probably lasted five to ten minutes, and the second one only about three minutes due to the alarm.

Notes- In the lucid, my dream body felt SOOO natural it was great! I felt light, and fully in control, I had to keep questioning whether flying was safe since it felt so very real. "can I really do this, will I hurt myself?" The spinning dream scene change technique didn't work, but I can understand how it would, and will try again will definite success the next lucid dream I have. Also, I remember at some point during the first LD a fragment I forgot, I was going to have an orgasm but stopped the sex/activity or whatever was happening, since I remember that most people wake up and I wanted to test other things first. I will remember to try the whole way through[lol] another time to see what the circumstances are for myself, since LaBerge claims it doesn't happen with all people and I don't think it will for me since the lucidity at that point remained very vivid.

I found it difficult to create a new dream scene, and kept getting distracted by thinking "what do I want to do?" I opted against earth bending and sex for the majority of the lucid time because I didn't want to begin a fight unintentionally and turn it into a nightmare, didn't want sex because I didn't want to wake myself up, and didn't try to sit and close my eyes to dream- meditate for the same reason.

I think this was a result of a compulsion/urgency to control the LD because of a fear/ desire not to lose it and forget it, even though in the LD I experienced no loss of control, completely vividness, aside from when I was trying to control it and change things! Though I probably didn't lose my lucidity because I was so single minded on not losing it, but that was also most likely the cause of the bland lack of occurances in the dream. I probably blocked off other potential story lines and experiences because of it, resulting in lots of open spaces and corridors and a lack of other DC's, mostly dark and greyish lighting and color tones.

      I need to
A Catagorize more Dream Signs and re evaluate my dream goals, based off of interactions with dream characters for more variety, and also hold off on the sexual and potentially violent/advanced stuff until I'm more comfortable, lots of stuff left to test.

B Read about dream scene changing tactics and focus on visualizing myself stabilizing the dream via techniques like focusing on each individual sense, etc. Will try the "stabilize" thing more since it doesn't take much effort, didn't really lose anything by doing it.

Anyway, thanks for reading, I would really appreciate any advice. What you focus on for incredibly basic aspects of LD DC interaction goals, and simple environment testing things? Trying to control flight more carefully? Trying to start conversation with DC as a way to get a dream cookie? Experiment with time? Change the color of my shirt?

      Thanks a ton in advance!

    6. First Lucid Dream Goal Complete

      by , 10-06-2010 at 04:24 PM
Last night I completed my first Lucid Dream Goal. I wanted to remember something from my waking memory, and I did! A few years ago I memorized the first sentence of the Declaration of Independence (don't ask). I tried to remember it in my Lucid dream and did it perfectly. I also looked at the sky, which I wanted to do in my dreams. It wasn't much different from the real sky though. After that I became afraid that I would wake up, and I had a false awakening. It was so realistic, and I forgot to do a reality check. I went back to bed in my dream, and it ended.
    7. Plee Day 2

      by , 10-05-2010 at 06:01 PM
I woke after five hours of sleep and went back to bed using this Lucid Dreaming Binaural MP3 I found. It was pretty incredible what results I found on the first successfull attempt. I fell into a WILD in a way that I had never done before. Usually I just feel my dream body in a scene and open my eyes and it's there. This time, I seriously believed I was still awake. I was a little annoyed that I was and I got up and went to my window and looked out. What added to the feeling was that everything looked just as it did in real life. Usually my dreams have a distinct haze that lets me know I am dreaming. But then I notice that the lights were not working properly. They would change level of brightness and sometimes not even turn on. This reality check kind of destabilized my dream for a moment, but I didn't want to wake, and the sheer will power kept me in the dream for the time being. I walked out in my living room and found the door to the garage. Since I was sure this was a dream I wanted to open the door to another scene. I said that I expect a winter scene outside and opened the door. Instead of finding snow though, and since deep down I knew what was on the other side of the door, I got mixed results. I found on the other side my garage during the winter. It was quite cold and I could see my breath, but no snow. St. Augustine never snows. The garage was very organized unlike it is now, and things were stacked in front of the car entrance. Instead of jumping, I decided to fly outside. So I lifted off of the ground and floated outside and felt the air around me. It seems the flight must have further destabilized the dream for I woke up. Upon waking I found that it wasn't destabilization, it was the intention of the Lucid Dreaming aid I was listening to to wake you up at the end of the ninety minute track. I was astonished to find that it worked so well.

    8. lucid dream world

by , 10-04-2010 at 09:27 PM (Amen, the thunderbolt in the dark void....)
I'm walking down a path in the forest, there are two dream characters with me.

I am walking up ahead and something clicks with me. I'm dreaming. I run to the two dream characters and tell them, "Hey guys we're in a dream right now!"
      "Really?" one of them asks.
"Really! I'm so serious, here, I'll show you."

I grab both of their hands and push my feet off the air hard. Before I know it we're soaring above the world. The strange thing was that, at first the entire world consisted of a big box we seemed to be hovering over. There were lots of things floating in the air, and I kept wanting to go higher. There was half of a train suspended in mid-air. I was having a conversation with one of the girls about how this is our dream imagination playground, how the world below is our mind. I looked down at the box and got up really high and extended my hands pushing the box bigger, bigger, and bigger, until it wasn't a box any more, it was an entire world.

    9. Lucid SpeedBike

by , 10-04-2010 at 01:33 PM (Images In The Night)
For the first time in a while, i'm glad to say i had a lucid, and my recall is getting better.

      Lucidity-5
      Vividness-7

I'm on my way to class, driving a speedbike. There are mainly trees along the way on both sides of the road. When i get near the school, i realize i'm dreaming. I did a nose RC, and lucidity hit me like a bag of bricks. I still had to drive the bike, but it wasn't to hard to steer. I was mainly looking at the enviorment which it replicated very well. Down to very individual details.
I pull into my school and park. There are some random people walking around. I went up to a janitors closet. I was going to try to make a portal. On the front of the door where it said something else that i can't recall now, i wrote in, "MOON". I hopped in. Everything was starting to feel weird like my mind was creating a new place, and when i steped out it would be the moon.

But then a FA hit me. I thought it was a DEILD. So i laid perfectly still, but still saw threw my eyes at a computer. Then when i focused in i saw that there was a time, then said dang, i messed up the deild.
      Dream Skip
Its nighttime at the college. My speedbike is parked at a different location. I go to it to start it up. It starts up fine, but i can't find the lights. So i try putting back on its stand. It doesn't want to go easily.(actually i just remembered, i didn't park it when i was lucid. I jumped off of it. just a note). I eventually force it down and talk to some people who were saying its a nice bike. I get back on it and start riding with no lights up the wrong way. On the way i'm pressing buttons, and one of them is the lights.
I'm happy i found the lights, turn around, and start heading to the exit. Along the way i crash sorta. By sorta, i mean that the side of the road, and my bike went under some redneck guys truck. I keep going to look at it, and going around to look at it. Apparently they never even noticed it. So i ask them for some help. They move their truck and i get my bike back and start riding. It's wet out and i can't see threw my helmet at that point. I wait a while, then i leave once it stopped raining.(also, at the same time, a spaceship was in the air. It was blasting off to go somewhere and a little probe hit it, just thought that was odd)
      DreamSkip
I'm at my dad's house playing a GTA4 type game. He tells me to get on a motorcycle. I find one in the game, then in the dream i put on a helmet. We both laugh and i lose my recall from there.

I had another dream, but it was too simple to fully explain i'll give a summary below.

      Lucidity-0
      Vividness-6

I drove my friends to school. Friend asks me to pay him back. I give him 10 bucks. I tell them i don't go to classes here even though i technically have them.
    10. Night of 10/02 - Lucid, Lucid I did it! :D

by , 10-03-2010 at 10:15 AM (Grischkaja's world of dreams and mysteries)
      Hello
Got 2 Lucids in a row I'm really amazed! My last lucid was in august, but I did it again! I wanted to thank Serenity for her Intro-class which made me progress over the last weeeks

      1. I'm standing in a room. Girl N. was in front of me and started kissing me. (It's a recurring dream that I always have when I'm kind of confused through the day). I feel that her kisses are really odd, they didn't feel like real kisses. I remembered that she wouldn't kiss me so intensively in reality (kisses all over the face lol), that I hate her and I don't want any relationship with her. My thought was: "This is a dream! " I want to do something, but she doesn't stop kissing me. I than concentrate on the thought :"Just go and leave me!". Surprisingly, it works: she stops and goes a few steps away from me. That's the moment that I really realise that I'm dreaming. Everything around me looks much more vivid and bright. I get really excited

I wake up. I was like: " O No! damn it!". I did a RC in hope that it was a false awakening. But it was not. I relaxed a bit and fall asleep immediately.

      2. I'm in a lake. In front of me is DC. He/she is swimming. I'm lying on a air mattress. The DC starts a conversation:
      - Hello! I just wanted to say to you that it isn't safe to lay on such a mattress on a lake.... You might just fall off and drown....
Exactly in this moment, I fall off and disappear under the surface. My perspective change in third person and I see how the mattress finally flies away.
I'm suddenly at my university, someone is holding class. I just think: "That's odd.. how I did I get here?" I pinch my nose. I can still breath. OMG I'm dreaming . The surroundings get really blurry and I feel that the dreams fades away. I think " O NOoOoO". I remember to rub my hands to stabilize the dream, but it doesn't works and I awake

That's it! I hope that I soon will have another lucid!

      Lucidity scale: 3/5

    11. 1st lucid dream !!

      by , 10-02-2010 at 08:01 PM
i kept falling asleep and waking up then falling asleep and finally i had a lucid dream. I had went to bed really high the night before. So i remember being inside of a car and i asked myself wait is this a dream. I did the RC where you push your hand through the other hand and that didnt work so i tried counting my fingers. As i looked at my hands i noticed they were very and i counted and noticed an extra finger on the left hand i was like yes im dreaming. I rememberd i needed to rub my hands in order not to be waken up from the dream so i did so and became a lil bit more grounded to the dream. For some reason i was on my street near a cop car and i told the friends i was with ha this is a dream. They said wat are you talking about no!. I got out of the car i was in and jumped ontop of the cop car and started dancing. I disccused with the cop the giants game as i danced on top of the car and said how dissapointing it was that they lost last night. I tried eventually jumping really high in the air but as i remember it was dark and i was just not able to do so. YESSS i can finally click the lucid category

    12. A WILD Lucid at School.

by , 10-01-2010 at 04:34 PM (Dreams I can Only Dream.)
      Date.10-1-10
      Time: 9am-945am (Sometime Between These)

Note: Okay so it has been a really long time since I had a lucid, but this was short and sweet. It was scary though cause I ended up in SP, and my legs hurt bad cause of the position I was in. My dream recall has been off, and I just seem to have enough time to dedicate to LDing. This was a would be considered a WILD, but I really think it was an OBE.
      .

Description: So I put my head down at this table we were sitting in for class, and people were presenting their power point presentations, I am going on very little sleep since school started. I fell asleep, but could still hear people talking, and at points I could actually see the screen we were looking at with my eyes closed, then went blind for a few seconds till I thought of the idea of windows.

Lucid Dream: So I put my head down, and close my eyes. Could still hear voices in the background, but I fell into a trance. Then the vibrations started happening, my legs felt really weird, my heart started to beat fast, and my head felt like energy was just rushing around there. I end up seeing the screen we were looking at, but I knew my eyes were closed. I instantly knew I was dreaming, since I had the dream body feeling. My body was completely heavy and hard to lift. I actually felt like I was being pushed downward. I grabbed onto my desk that I was sitting at and lifted my head trying to do a pull up. I sink through the chair into the void. I start imagining that my eyes are opening, so I end up in my bedroom at home. I still hear the voices in the background. I roll of the bed , and onto the floor as I try to walk. I go blind again. This time I pry my eyes open, and see my classmates sitting across from me, but I still feel incredibly heavy, so I stand up on the desk and it becomes a portal to the void. Once again I find another window to go back into the class, I pull the portal (Was edge of desk, but it was like a mirror, only without reflection) around my head, and end up back into my class. So I stand up and try to walk, but I was to heavy. I end up just wanting out, so I force myself out of the dream and open my real eyes. But my legs feel like they are still incredibly heavy, but the feeling wears off as I awaken.

      Riding the Wind (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

This dream was really the end of a longer dream that I can't quite remember. What I can tell you is that the rest of the dream was rather disjointed, and involved random things happening. The last non-lucid part that I remember involved a bunch of broken glass all over the room (from some rowdy guest or something? There were a bunch of nameless faces here, I think). I had to grab my little brother Jared and carry him out of there. Only thing was, he looked nothing like my actual brother. My little brother's also almost my size, both in the dream and in real life. Don't ask how I carried him, I don't know.

The part where my recall really picks up is right after this part. We're in one of our old houses that we moved out of a couple years back. Only me and my dad are here for some reason. He gestures towards, I believe, the kitchen and says "The purple is over there." Usually it takes something more absurd than that to make me wonder, but he was treating purple like it was an object. Anyways, I'm naturally curious now, and pick on him a bit for it. ("'The purple is over there...' Now how is that gonna help me Dad? Seriously? Purple?") I don't remember his response. Still curious, I hop up into the air, and float slowly down.
This is the only reality check I need, and I become lucid. Satisfied, I walk out of the house to try the thing that always comes to mind when I'm lucid without a plan -- flying. I step out and try a few smaller jumps, like off our porch, with limited success.

Here, though, I pause a moment to take in the scenery. The trees, the path and all, look beautiful. For just a moment, I slip into a bit of fuller awareness. The dream looks every bit as vivid as daily life, if not more, and I truly feel like I'm there. I savor this a bit longer before running off to try flying some more.

I'm lucid enough to realize the path isn't right here --it splits into two before reaching the road again, when it's really just a driveway. There were probably other inconsistancies, there always are, but I didn't pick up on them this time. I cross the road by our house, and on the other side there's a veritable cliff, which I jump off of without a second thought. Now I start gliding, with varying success. I glide level for a bit, then start to drop faster, which eases up as I get closer to the ground. Here I'm wavering, sometimes falling a bit, sometimes staying level, and sometimes actually rising a bit. All while I'm gliding forward at a respectable speed.
(I don't get the full effect of the wind on my skin, but I get some, and I consider this a success. It's certainly better than I normally manage.) As I start dipping towards the ground, approaching an ocean, my vision fades to black. It briefly comes back again when I land in the ocean. I turn around to see that I'm at the shore, and could climb up the beach, but the dream fades again before I can do much else.

    14. Airplane ride to a huge hotel room and a covert operation.

by , 09-26-2010 at 04:44 PM (...from the dark corners of my mind...)
DJ Log: September 26, 2010 – Morning, 8:15AM (USA Eastern)
      Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID ·

(Note: Before going to bed around 12:30AM, I smoked a pipe full of Calea Zacatechichi, took 800mg Piracetam, 500mg L-Tryptophan, and 40mg Ginkgo Biloba with a full glass of apple juice. During WBTB around 4:15AM, I smoked 2 cigarettes of Calea Zacatechichi and took 8mg Galantamine, 400mg Choline Bitartrate, and 300mg Alpha-GPC with a full glass of apple juice. I attempted to WILD, but gave up because some part of my body would twitch, or I would feel like a bug was walking on me which caused me to move and ruin the oncoming SP. This happened twice, but there were no bugs.)

      Airplane ride #1
(Note: This is a fragment, probably lost a lot of detail in this one due to the amount of time I spent logging the next dream. I wish I had better recall of this one because I've never been on an airplane in a dream before.)

I boarded an airplane and flew for quite a while. The plane landed and I walk through the airport, looking for baggage claim. After getting my bags, I started to look for the exit door.

A huge hotel room and a covert operation. #2
(Note: I'm fairly certain that I awakened momentarily and re-entered the same dream, or it could have been a FA. This second part is quite possibly my most vivid dream to date. I also had more control than I usually do during the moments I was lucid, not to mention that I was able to complete one of my long-term dream goals. Stabilization was super quick and remained rock solid, with the exception of a brief moment that was quickly recovered from. My recall lost some of the environmental details, as I was paying close attention to the clearly understood technical details in this dream.)

I am checking into a hotel room, after getting off a long flight. My brother is also checking into a room just down the hall. Upon entering the room, I could tell that someone had been there before. There is a piece of luggage and some clothes laying around. The room is huge and had a full kitchen, two separate bedrooms, and a huge living room. There is a long hallway that connects all of the rooms, which have no doors on them. There are also several doors along the hallway. The living room has a full entertainment center with a very large flat-screen TV and a surround sound system. There are at least a dozen remote controls sitting on the table in front of the couch. I walk down the hallway and into the bedroom, where I put my luggage on the bed. The bed is a king size water bed with black satin sheets and huge fluffy pillows. I look at my AAA club card and smile, knowing I got a good deal on this room. I leave the bedroom and go to the door across the hallway. Opening the door reveals a garage bay with an old taxi cab sitting in the space. I ask myself, "Why would there be a garage in a hotel room? This is ridiculous. I must be dreaming!"

I open the door of the taxi and climb in to look around inside. The interior smells musty like an old car. I found an older digital camera sitting on the rear deck. When I turn on the camera, the lens motor is broken and will not deploy/retract the lens. I give the lens a tug and it comes out properly. I point the camera out the window and it has a difficult time focusing. Moving the lens around manually fixes the focus problem. I take a couple of pictures, then point it at the dash of the taxi and take another picture to make sure the focus motor is working correctly. I turn off the camera and the lens retracts properly. The camera works perfectly when I turn it on again and take another picture. I stuff the camera in my jacket pocket and walk back into the room, realizing that I had just completed one of my long-term dream goals. I stop and stabilize for a moment by looking at the ground and closing my eyes, then run down the hall to my brother's room and told him that I had just fixed this camera. He didn't seem too excited. I explain that I just accomplished one of my long-term dream goals by doing this. He is still not too excited, so I give up trying to explain and return to my room.

I am digging around in the bedroom and find some clothes on the floor beside the bed. I find a couple of black and gray striped Zentai suits that are made from a super soft and stretchy fabric.

I examine them for a bit, then place them on the bed. Digging further reveals a set of black cycling bib-shorts, cycling jersey, arm warmers, and a pair of cycling shoes. There are some other clothes on the floor, but I seem to be only interested in the soft stretchy ones. I immediately took my clothes off and put on one of the Zentai suits. The Zentai is very tight and feels amazingly soft and stretchy, just like a second skin. There is a medium tan tweed cloth suitcase sitting under a computer desk along the wall. Behind it is a huge camera bag with some various electronic equipment laying around it. I pick up the camera bag and find that it is empty. I felt the dream fading and could feel that my arm is going numb under my pillow in real life, so I concentrated on where I was just at and opened my eyes.

(Note: I lose my lucidity at this point, but the dream remains extremely vivid. There is a large time gap in the dream here.)

I walk into the kitchen and find a machine that appears to be a portable dishwasher for baby bottles. It had a small rack in it, a heating coil in the bottom and a hose with a hookup to fit a kitchen faucet. There is a window in the door and a control panel with lots of buttons. It is about the size of a large toaster oven. I push a button on the front panel and it starts to fill up with water. After a moment, it starts sloshing the water around and the heating coil heats up. I pressed another button and more water squirted into the machine, filling it slightly above the bottom of the window. I find this quite boring and walk away.

The kitchen sink has two small cabinet doors above it. To the right is some counter space and an over-sized bread box with two large cabinet doors above. The stove is a gas stove with two small cabinet doors above it. The range hood has a lot of extra buttons and switches on it. There is something that just doesn't look right about the cabinets between the kitchen sink and stove. I try to open the doors, but they will not open. I become irritated that the doors will not open and bang on them with my hand. One of the doors falls off and reveals a lot of electronic equipment hidden behind the doors. There is a video camera with some strange adapters on the lens. The adapters connect to a pipe that goes outside through the wall. I unscrew the adapter and lower the camera to the counter. The adapter has the brand name "Olympus" on it. I unscrew and remove the other half of the adapter to reveal the pipe through the wall. I look through the pipe and I could see the courtyard outside the room. There is a large green grassy area with a couple if sidewalks going around a fountain. Short bushes lined the sidewalks, and there were a few small ornamental trees. A couple of DCs in the courtyard immediately stop whatever they are doing and stare at me through the pipe. Directly across the courtyard, I could see a similar pipe with a lens installed in another room. I asked myself, "This is crazy, am I dreaming or something?" I unplug the cables from the camera and trace them back into the next cabinet where they connect to a Harris AN/PRC-117F military two-way radio.

I cannot read anything on the display, as the numbers are scrolling like a slot machine. I unscrew the connector from the radio and pull the cable out. I fish a couple more cables out of the cabinets and place them all on the counter with the camera. Directly under the radio is a Harris VRC-104 RF amplifier. The antenna cables from this amplifier go into the cabinet above the sink. There are two directional antennas on the cabinet doors, which point directly to the other room across the courtyard. One of the antennas has a label that says "440 MHz, 39 dBi" and other antenna says "2.2 GHz." I disconnect the antennas and the rest of the cables from the two-way radio and place them all on the counter. I thought to myself, "How am I going to fit all of this stuff in my luggage when I have to catch my flight out of here?"

I walk back into the bedroom to grab the luggage and start filling it with all of this equipment. When I walk back the hallway, everything quickly fades to black. I can hear the echo of my own voice yelling, “Stabilize now!”, but it is too late. This was the dream's exit.

    15. Lucid Dream #13

by , 09-26-2010 at 03:00 PM (Warbenifit156's Lucid Dreaming Adventures)
      Lucidity: 8/10
      Vividness: 9/10
      Length: ~20 Min.

I believe this one was a WBTB. So let's get started. I was walking with some people and when I found out that I was in a dream I decided to try to fly. I thought it was really cool that I could glide over and over again. When I saw a cliff I, for some reason, put a helmet on. I don't get it. But anyways I jumped off and I glided over a bunch of trees. It was very detailed. I soared behind this one building and landed on my belly. I got up and decided to jump on top of the building. I jumped on the first 3 stories of the building. Then the next. So I looked around because I had a better view and I could see where those people were. So I looked to my right and I saw more people. There was a tree next to them and I wanted to try to make a lightning bolt spider web and I did. I swung down there and looked at the girl, she was trying to find movies. I said "you can't summon movies, your limited by your own imagination." She said "oh" then I was thinking how awesome it was to be in the dream for a few seconds, feeling the texture of the ground. It was white. So then I got up and decided to try running fast. I found a good stretch of land and ran, I was kinda fast. So I tried it again and this time I kinda ran in place. This time I was so fast everything was all blurry. I could see that the planet that I was on was round and I could only go in circles. So I found them and did it again. This time the planet was smaller and when I looked behind me I could see the guy behind me as if I didn't go anywhere. Then I woke up.
