    1. Who is that girl I see?

      by , 09-17-2013 at 11:26 PM (Keitorin's Dream Log)
      1. I walk up to a big light-brown bag and scare the shit out of the people in it. Similar to this in size (but still bigger).

Apparently it’s a vehicle. I had gathered a sack of BL manga to read while in the ‘vehicle’. They were bigger and heavier than normal. I sit them on the floor inside the door. Melly is there and shows me some candy she brought. Twizzlers was one. I brought some too and lay them out. One was really long multicolored Twizzlers (red and green), one was small twist Twizzlers. The multicolored ones were half and half and the red and green blended into each other in the middle where they met, and they were almost translucent.

We’re waiting for a horror movie villain (think Michael Myers). I see in my head like a movie scene the figure standing on the road. He’s walking funny as if injured, and I see a car pass by him as if they’d run into him.

Inspiration: I got a bag of Twizzers a couple of days ago. Horror movie thing probably inspired by Friday 13th.

      2. I hold my breath as a vehicle with a bad guy in it passes me by. The lady inside with blond-hair just past her ears smirks at me. I remember her, she’s a woman ‘I’ helped in a hospital when I was a doctor and some crisis was happening. She fell down the stairs and I rushed down to help her while everyone else was just trying to get away. “Look at me.” I urged her, checking to see if she had a head injury. Her hair was longer and in a pony then.

She turned out to be a stalker.

      3. In a school (TTU)? Brought Sarah clothes, she was feeling down about something so we didn’t think she’d join in on what was going on (others were wearing them too). But she appears wearing jeans and a purple sweater with writing on it. We’re happy and walk out of the building, me quietly singing a song.

Mom is already getting in the car when we step out, and I burst into song, ‘Reflection’ from Mulan. Sarah stares. As we get in the car, she compliments me and says she gives the performance a four. I say something about how I love to sing when the weather is like that (‘windy’).

“Who is that girl I see
      staring straight back at me
      when will my reflection
      show who I am inside?”

(I sing the last world as I get into the car.)

      4. As I was getting up for the day, I saw my mini flashlight by the laptop and remembered something that happened. At some point during the night, I crawled across the bed and over to my desk, scrabbling around on it until I found the flashlight. By then, I realized that I had dreamed that there was a big spider in my bed. By then I already had the flashlight so I checked for ease of mind. x_x

It’s really weird when I react to something in a dream in WL. I think last time this happened, I walked over and got a sweater from somewhere, put it up on my bed with me and went back to sleep, lol. No wait, I think the last time was me coming to to find myself standing up on my bed…

Notes: Woke up half an hour early again. Two songs with dreams, seems like listening to music before bed might be the cause. :3 Also, one of my dream goals I’m trying to remember for if I go lucid is to sing a song (not ‘Reflection’ though!). I can’t do that IWL because we live in an apartment and I have a high voice.

    2. Confused on what my dream means

      by , 09-17-2013 at 06:32 PM
So what of I remember my dream starts by my friend Kayla and I swimming in the ocean and we found this underwater shack and we see this wooden window and on the other side of this small window there are all these beautiful sea creatures that we can swim with and hold, there is this guy that is trying to guide us through and my friend swims right through the window like its nothing, but when I was about to swim through I saw all these medium sized spiders and there all around the frame of the window. My friend told me it's nothing and that she didn't get bit or anything and it's fine to go through. I asked them if they could move the spiders and they said they weren't allowed too. But I really wanted to go swim with those sea creatures, I tried once and I failed and I tried again but I couldn't because I was SO scared of those spiders. Then all of a sudden my dream switched to me being on the beach all alone just sitting there sad, I was just standing there listening to the waves crash and then I woke up

    3. 9/4/13 - WILD Fail and Update

      by , 09-04-2013 at 08:17 PM
I was pretty confused last night. When my WILD alarm went off, I could've sworn that I was already awake and that I hadn't slept at all. I shrugged it off and attemted a WILD/FILD, but I failed and ended up dreaming about spiders again. FML. I guess hordes of spiders is a new dream sign, lol.

I start school tomorrow. What does this mean for my lucid dreaming efforts? Now that I have an actual reason to get up in the morning, I'll be able to establish a regular sleeping schedule and better understand my sleeping patterns. This should make the whole process a hell of a lot easier.

      by , 08-30-2013 at 04:56 PM
My recall is faded because I waited to write this, but I clearly remember that the dream was about spiders and that I was scared, being an arachnophobe.
    5. Giant Spiders, Monster trucks, then a wreck.

      by , 06-08-2013 at 08:03 PM
I'm aware of some grammatical errors but I don't care because this dream is too damn long!

In my dream, my father dropped me off at school, for a science class. Little did I know that my science class was going on a field trip, where we ended up going to an abandoned mine. The class was divided up into teams of 4, and every person in their teams had a mindset like there was some kind of prize at the end for some reason. Anyways, my team went down to I want to say the third floor down. We looked around and it was more like a cave than a mine. As we arrived we walked deeper into the cave we were in, it turned out to be a big spider nest. These spiders weren’t small either, they were 3 to 4 feet tall and there were two kinds. The smaller 3 foot ones were attackers which only bite, and the ones that were 4 feet tall had vivid colors and enlarged web sacks, which gave them the ability to spit acid. I told my team that I’d handle this and to follow my lead, I figured I’d take them out like I do in Skyrim by hiding in the shadows, divert their attention, and go in for a sneak attack kill. It turns out that my team left me high and dry, they took the lift we came down on back to the surface and didn’t even send it back down. So they basically left me to die! Knowing this I hid myself in the shadows, and looked around the find another way out.
I indeed found another exit, it was a hole that was passed the 3 spiders on the first level of the cave, and 1 on top of a dirt ramp leading to the second level, where the hole and their eggs were. I estimated that the spiders were 15 to 20 yards away from where I was, standing around at the foot of the dirt ramp leading to the second level on the right side of the cave. I grabbed a nearby rock and threw it towards the left side so they would search for the sound. But little did I know my sneaking skills weren’t good because the spiders instantly saw me and were going for the attack. I had to think quickly, because the spiders made a formation where they were side by side to make sure I wouldn’t go anywhere. I couldn’t turn around to go on the lift, because it wasn’t there. I thought about my team and how I wished they were here. They might have backed me up if we battled. The spiders were closing in on me, but there was one thing. As the spiders were closing in there was a rock that I was able to hop on to and jump passed the spiders. It was my only option besides dying so I took it. I stood up and got ready to run, I looked at the spiders, then I looked at the rock to make sure I timed it right.
Then I went for it, I sprinted towards the rock the spiders anticipated my movements and attempted to attack. The acid spiders spit out their acid towards me, I immediately juked to the right narrowly evading the acid and as I did I could literally feel the steam the acid gave off. I hopped on top of the rock avoided being bit by the smaller spiders and jumped passed the 3 spiders from the first level, the spider from the second level straggled behind because it was so far away from the others. It wasn’t that bad though I managed to run passed it and I headed for the second level. When I made it to the peak of the second level of the cave, I noticed that I had a little bit of time to goof around for a minute, so I found a wooden 2x4. With it I swung it around and smashed open any egg sacks that were close. I destroyed around 3 to 4 clusters of egg sacks, but what I just did really pissed off the spiders because they then moved twice as fast as before. I then dropped the 2x4 and headed for the exit.
As I emerged from the hole, I dug around it as quickly as possible to try to cave it in, and then got a few big rocks to officially close it. I got up and noticed that it was dark outside. It was kind of nice out too, there was a nice breeze, the temperature was cool, and I could see the stars. After a minute of star gazing, I headed out I didn’t know where to go so I picked a direction and walked. Some time went by and I stumbled upon a truck depot. No one was there since it was probably late. As I continued further I noticed that there was a nearby store that was still open. I quickly went for it hoping to get inside before it closed. It was kind of like a general store but sold mainly sold tools and hardware. I grabbed an axe and went to pay; I greeted the cashier and made small talk. We joked around for a minute. Then there was the question I was hoping not to be asked. “Why was I buying the axe?” the Cashier asked. I only smiled and said “Oh nothing really, just to hack off my team mates limbs.” The cashier laughed, I paid for the axe and left.
I went back into the forest head back towards the mine to kill the spiders, and maybe my team members too I haven’t decided yet. As I was getting close I noticed that there was a helicopter flying above. I was hoping that it would be like a rescue chopper looking for me, it wasn’t. I couldn’t quick make it out at first because it was so dark out, but I adjusted my eyes to get a better look. It turned around and the silhouette looked a lot like a Chinook, which is the kind of helicopter that is elongated with two propellers that the military uses, it wasn’t that either. It was flying too erratically to be a Chinook, and then I saw what it was. It was actually a flying monster truck, it was a monster truck that had a zebra pattern with a big propeller on top that made it almost look like a helicopter. I said to myself “Oh shit, that is freaking awesome!” It was pulling all kinds of aerial moves; it was spinning, flipping, and doing Aileron Rolls. Sometimes it was flipping and spinning at the same time, which made it look like it was going to crash. It was a fantastic spectacle.
I heard cheering and announcements nearby, which was also the same direction the flying monster truck was landing. I walked out of the forest and was at a monster truck show. I looked in awe, it made me think about when I was younger and went to monster truck shows with my father. As it so happened my father was parked nearby in his truck. I went to him, opened the passenger door, and expressed my disappointment in him for not letting me know there was a monster truck show, and I wasn’t taken. He told me he didn’t expect to go to the monster truck show, but somehow managed to sneak in posing as one of the staff in the show. So we continued to watch the rest of the show until it ended, and then we proceeded to leave. As we were going home, he started to speed up rapidly explaining to me that he needs to, to make it over a hill ahead. But he was going too fast, and I knew that he didn’t need this much speed to make it over, I didn’t say anything because I assumed he knew as well, I was wrong.
The truck ended up not only going over the hill but flied passed the hill, passed the street, beyond some trees, and then came crashing down hard in the desert. After a moment to compose myself I checked my father to see if he was okay. We both emerged from the wreck and assessed the situation, the truck was completely trashed. I circled the truck to see how the tires were. All the tires on the passenger side were flattened and the driver side tires were flattened except for the one in the back. Then we both thought of how my mom would react to the truck being wrecked, because we just bought these tires a couple weeks ago. Then I awakened.
    6. Bellhop Spider Monkeys and Jar of Venomous Spiders

      by , 06-06-2013 at 12:06 PM
Morning of June 6, 2013. Thursday.

The main scenario in one dream features me being younger (possibly around thirty years of age) and apparently with my own bed lined up from a north wall to the south in a fairly large unfamiliar room. To my right on the west side of this room is a smaller end table with a large vase-like yellowish and greenish lamp with a floral design and with a beige gingham lampshade. Also on the table is a large squarish jar which contains a few dangerously venomous spiders. The jar and the lamp take up most of the tabletop. Three smaller spider monkeys dressed as bellhops in black, red, and shiny gold come in now and then. Because they are “bellhops” I might be inclined to think I am in a small hotel room.

There is a concern that the monkeys had been near the jar and let some of the potentially dangerous spiders out, so at one point I yell at them to leave everything alone, but then I see that the only spiders outside the jar are smaller harmless ones with light brown and white stripes. They are making small webs between the lamp, table, and wall. The ones in the jar are larger and black and look like miniature tarantulas. I puzzle over why I have decided to keep venomous spiders in a jar near my bed but then an old saying is clear in my mind - “Keep your friends close but your enemies closer”. There is no fear or substantial concern when I view the dangerous spiders through the glass jar.

“My” monkeys seem well-behaved and devoted to their tasks and are mostly only around to serve me in cleaning and taking care of potential impositions (such as annoying visitors, by pretending to take them to my room while actually ushering them straight out into busy traffic).
    7. The Turck Fire, the Spiders, and the Prophet

      by , 01-26-2013 at 08:40 PM
01-25-2013 -- [Earliest bits are faded, but much of the later bits I can remember pretty well. This dream came after about four hours of sleep, and actually involves waking up in the middle of it, and falling back asleep and going back into pretty much the same dream.] Earliest bits, I can barely remember hints of BC and Disney shows, probably at Videopolis. Then things shift to a setting of a kind of college campus crossed with the Cathedral-like setting with a huge stadium / lecture hall area in it that I have dreamed of, frequently. Though it also seems to be shifting into almost a warehouse setting.

Anyway, I have some of my stuff in a big semi-trailer sitting at the docks, though the set-up is kind of weird. Where the trailer meets with the tractor, the connection almost looks like a sort of top, with a screwdriver head for a power drill sticking out the bottom, and kind of floating just an inch or two above the tractor, somehow held in place by a self-generated energy field. I'm kind of unloading a couple of bags of my stuff that is on the trailer (kind of think of duffel bags and my old green hiking backpack), while I may be supposed to be keeping an eye on the truck.

Something seems to be going wrong, and at first a tiny bit of smoke seems to be rising from both ends of the trailer, but then it is getting thicker and darker, and it seems almost like a fire is starting to spring up. It seems to be growing and spreading, and I don't know what to do about it, so I start running to one of the nearby buildings to try and get some sort of help. There I find a security guard who asks me if I have run all the way across campus to properly notify the main office, and I'm thinking that with my size and shape, if I did that, the entire thing would have burnt down before I could get over there, and it would be very irresponsible of me. But that's what he thinks I should have done.

On the other hand, he gets some others, and they come back with me to the loading docks to fight the fire. It is getting worse, and we can see smoke and flames coming from the trailer, and the top seems to have stopped spinning, and is now making a sort of grinding sound as the screwdriver head on the bottom snaps out to a 45 degree angle, and the trailer collapses perhaps six inches to be right on the tractor. Those fighting the fire are now hosing water over everything.

Another truck has pulled in, absolutely ignoring us fighting this fire, and have started unloading their truck, and and dropping huge crates of supplies around and even on top of my duffel bags, and I am running around, trying to shift the crates or move them to be able to get my stuff, so the guys unloading the truck are trying to lecture me about how I am not part of the union, and am not allowed to help unloading the truck or something. Idiots.

So we're down in the loading bays, and it is wet, and hot, and sticky, and an utter mess. I glance over, and there is a sort of a square tunnel in the wall (kind of like the one tunnel in the old drainage ditch where it ran under Dale) and I think it leads somewhere where I can get out of the water. I walk through it rather quickly, and that was a mistake, because it turns out it was covered in spider webs, and I find myself covered in webs and dozens of big, dangerous spiders.

Thankfully, I am dressed in a thick, yellow firefighting suit, so the spiders can't reach me, and I am brushing the webs off, and crushing all the spiders against the suit, coating it in a green coating of slime. Once I manage to kill them all, I start to remove the suit, and then I am stupid enough to walk through the tunnel again, and get coated in spiders again. But I no longer have the suit on, and as I start to crush and scrape spiders off of me, they are all biting me.

Within moments, my hands start to swell up with these large blisters of bubbling and swelling flesh that get bigger and bigger before they pop, splattering ooze everywhere. It is very disgusting and halfway painful, and I am rushing to a sink, trying to wash everything off. Thankfully the tunnel leads into the university (or whatever this place is) hospital, and they help dealing with my hands, which are soon lightly wrapped in bandages.

But soon I am back out in the loading dock area, still trying to get my stuff, including managing to lift the trailer up a few inches, long enough to pull one of my bags out from under the collapsed end. [About this time I woke up, but since I was short on sleep, and sleeping poorly, I did not write the dream down, only tried to remember it, then drifted back to sleep, and back into more or less the same dream, though the loading dock was turning into more of a full warehouse than just a loading dock.]

Somehow they are unloading another truck or two, and among the things they are moving around, are a couple of beds, at least full-size, yet made up, and ready to sleep on. They pick them up, shift them, and then repeat. Oddly I see something flying through the air, and I immediately fire with a gun I am holding. Somehow it is a sort of a laser gun, and yet it ejects cartridges as it fires, and what I've shot turns out to be a bed flying through the air that crashes to the ground, by lands on its edge, standing up. Odd.

Somehow we're out in fields, with some low-growing, young plants along the lines of corn or something, and other fields that seem more like the wet rice fields. Some of them are the right kind, some of them are the wrong kind, and we are kind of walking between them, trying to cull the wrong kind and strengthen the right kind. Meanwhile there are two groups of us, and hints of two leaders that are friendly, yet opposed to one another (kind of like Tecumseh and the Prophet from the Alvin Maker tales).

Both groups are in the fields, and they are supposed to agree, but one of the brothers is trying to betray the other. The other calls all the people together, and calms everybody to stop the betrayal, but then he wanders off, because he needs some time to himself.

We are standing at the head of a sort of river, dotted with small islands, and the bad brother is trying to start up the betrayal again, by standing by the river and trying to part the water, like Moses. But he can't do it very well. He doesn't have the power or support, so he can only part a few yards of water.

The other brother isn't there to stand against him, so I step in, hold out another staff, and gesture for the Prophet (who now seems to be a third group) to speak, and he leads both groups to walk along the banks of the river, one on each side, and to be separate, rather than fighting each other, and they go off, kind of embarrassed.

      Giant Spiders

I'm playing a hard HOMM3 scenario. I decide to put in a cheat code and skip to the end of the scenario, just to see what it's like. I'm moved to the end of a dungeon, where I get the key that unlocks the way to the final boss. Then I exit the cave, emerging to a darkened portion of the overworld map that I've never seen before. To the north, past some mountains, a giant pair of red eyes is moving around. The final boss must be a giant spider; I've fought these before. I look for a passage through the mountains. Then somehow the light improves and I can see the rest of the spider's body. Well, not all of it; it doesn't all fit on the screen. This spider is much bigger than the ones I've fought before. Even though this is only a game, I feel a distinct sense of fear. Suddenly I don't want to find a passage through the mountains; I start looking around the rest of the nearby map area instead. As I do, suddenly I see motion to the east. Panning over, I see a new spider, a blue one, almost as big as the other. It's looking for me, and it will get here in moments. I run away.

      Frags:
      • granola bar
      • Due to an accident, I smell totally rancid.
      • Someone is commenting on a picture of religious protesters. One of the protesters is holding a life-sized caricature of a naked man with a sign hanging from his erection. I think maybe the man is supposed to be Romney.
      • I have to shave my beard. It's kind of a shame, because it's a full beard about an inch long and it goes well with my longer hair. [IRL: I can't grow a full beard.]

    9. Waiting for a Computer System at Donn Dunn's

      by , 11-14-2012 at 07:15 PM
11-14-2012 -- Early parts gone, but I am in an area that is half a small area of streets backing a lake in Florida, and half somewhere on the Fullerton College campus in California. I'm not sure why I am here, but I am at Don Dunn's shop, so it probably has something to do with car repairs. At the back of the property, where it borders on the lake, there is a spider web across the path, with a small red spider in the middle of the web. As I watch it, the spider is growing slightly larger, and is turning into what almost looks like a vaguely sponge ball-ish blob, about an inch across.

Moment by moment, there seem to be more and more of these things, some connected together, almost like centipede segments or something. Somehow they are important, but not terribly dangerous, and they help to keep the path clear, though clear of what, I really don't have a clue. There are some kids who live in a hillbilly-like house back in the mud around the lake that are running through the area.

I seem to be standing here with Bonnie M. at Don Dunn's place, wait for somebody who I am almost sure is Xander Harris (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) to bring me something, though at first I am not sure what it is. [Problem is, I have never seen BtVS, so I don't know the character, which makes this very strange.] Whatever I am waiting for, it has already been paid for, in fact it was paid for perhaps a year or two ago, and Xander is very late in providing it.

I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be a state-of-the-art computer which Xander was supposed to be able to get for me really cheap. Anyway, as we're waiting for Xander to hopefully show up, Bonnie decides to give me a worn, slightly bent metal side-panel from a computer, and since it isn't in the best of shape, I'm hoping it isn't supposed to be a part of my new state-of-the-art machine. It isn't, just an extra piece of metal she has found that she thinks I may want.

No idea how or why, but I seem to own an old, beat up truck which is a cross between a box truck and a trash truck. I don't see any use for the side panel except as a bit of scrap metal, so I climb up the side of the truck to toss it in the back. As I go to do some, a worker looks out and asks me "What's up?" Worker? I didn't know I had any workers with the truck .... I don't have anything for him to do, and no money to pay him with, so I tell him he can take the rest of the week off because we have nothing scheduled.

But I find myself thinking that maybe I should start up a salvage yard like Jupiter's Uncle Titus (Three Investigators). I wonder if I might be able to make a living as a junk dealer. I suddenly find myself looking at some old statues and thinking of how I might pack them in the truck to be able to move them safely, figuring in wrapping them in blankets and things to help protect them from damage in moving. It seems to be almost a sort of test.

By this time, the area has turned to Hazelnut in Buena Park, and Bonnie M is trying to call Xander on her cell phone, but is interrupted when a sort of mobile home trailer pulls up to Sean S.'s house. Sean has an aunt or something that is a friend of Bonnie's, and she has just shown up and is unloading something off her trailer. She seems to be handing me bits of foam packing material or something, and I assume she needs help and am neatly stacking the material for her, until she asks me what I think I'm doing. I have no clue, and she doesn't tell me anything, but she doesn't seem to need my help.

About this time, Xander finally shows up and starts unpacking a lot of very large boxes. It seems he finally has my computer, but there are hints that not everything is right. He may need more money, or may not have all the parts because some things were not available. The large replacement hard drive may not be as large as it is supposed to be. And the 20" monitor which was supposed to be top-of-the-line when I ordered it is now more toward the lower end. But it is still a very good Mac system built on the Power PC line at about 367 MHz, which in my dreams is still quite good. (In real life I no longer know what would be a good Mac processor.) I am thinking this system will help me to reacquaint myself with desktop publishing software on the Mac, giving me a better chance at graphic artist job interviews since I still need to find work.

As we're unpacking stuff, Don Dunn comes across what almost seems like large stacks of advertising pogs or perhaps coasters. Small, thin paper-ish discs with pictures and system details printed on them. In some was I'm not really clear on, I'm shooting them out of a sort of air cannon, trying to fire them into a pile out of the way. But the air cannon is far more powerful than I realize, and I end up shooting them several houses down the block. I try to go gathering them all up again, but find all those that have landed on the grass have absorbed the dew, and are too wet to be worth collecting.
    10. Fri Oct 12 (10:41-7:51)

      by , 10-12-2012 at 03:45 PM (Glieuaeiel's DJ)
      Stormtrooper (7:51)

Somehow I've found a Stormtrooper uniform. I put it on to disguise myself as I walk through the enemy complex with the rest of my partners in stealth. It's uncomfortable to have the mask all the way on, so most of the time I have it lifted (it has a visor that slides up a bit like a space helmet, and a separate part that slides up to reveal just the mouth). Then I have to put it on again quickly when another Stormtrooper comes around a corner, so they don't see that I don't actually have the same face as Jango Fett.

Somehow we get caught. An alarm might have been involved. Now we're in a small room with about twice our number of enemies. Not many of them are armed--they're just officials of some kind--but there are two people with lightsabers. Almost by accident, I take out my own two-sided green lightsaber and start attacking them. I barely have a second to hope that the rest of my group takes that as the signal to start fighting our way out of here. The people with lightsabers go down easily, and I realize they were never Jedi-trained. Somehow they just found those sabers and tried to pretend they could use them to discourage us from fighting.

Once we kill everyone, we go back outside. There's a hole in the bottom of one of the overhanging upper stories, and I realize that must be the room where we fought. I remember randomly slicing a couple of stone columns in order to add to the confusion of our escape.

      Homemade Board Game (7:51)

I'm not sure exactly what the avatar for the player character in this game is supposed to be. All of the art is a bit exaggerated and cartoonish, and some of the recognizable structures seem much larger than they are in real life. So my character is probably some kind of small animal, but I can't see well enough to tell what. I'm almost out of the building when I realize it's a worm. Curled up in a spiral and bouncing along on its tail. Ah.

Outside, a spider and a woman with a lightsaber are waiting to kill me. I hide in a tunnel while I try to figure out what to do. My primary weapon is some kind of projectile weapon that I charge by holding down a button, then fire by releasing it. I'm not completely sure how to aim it. I try charging it while behind a corner, then briefly darting out to fire before hiding again, but my accuracy is not very good and despite my cover, I come very close to dying. Then I wonder if maybe the spider and the lightsaber-woman aren't actually allies--maybe they'll start fighting each other if I can get them close enough to one another! I run out to find that they're already fighting. With one last swipe, the woman kills the spider. Without waiting for her to notice me, I hit her with my own lightsaber. Her health bar was low enough that the one hit kills her.

There's a cutscene: the camera pans across the street to a view of one of my allies on top of a flat-roofed building, then zooms in on an enemy climbing up an outside ladder. I have to kill that enemy before he gets to my ally, but I'm really far away. I took too long with the previous battles. My main enemy is not present, but his booming laughter accompanies the end of the cutscene, mocking me for my inability to help.

I run as fast as I can, charging the gun and trying to gauge how much I'll have to lead the guy on the ladder in order to hit him from this distance. My aim is not very good, though. . . .

Later, the enemy is dead, and a third ally has joined me and the other person (a woman). He reports that all of the enemies are gone, but now he will have to "let her blood." A double agent! Before he can speak another word, I punch him in the face, and he goes out cold. I get prepared for the woman to insist indignantly that she could have defended herself, but she doesn't.

Later, the woman is my sister. She's explaining that before the enemies attacked, she was working on a new board game that she designed with a friend of hers. She shows me a table of instructions. It's in German, but I manage to work out that there are four players, identified by the German words for "Northeast," "Northwest," etc. But then there's a fifth player that must be "Central." That worries me. There's no way the gameplay can be equivalent for all five players when one of them starts in the center. With four it would be fine. I debate trying to explain this to my sister. Later, I see the actual gameboard, which is apparently not symmetrical at all. It's divided into irregular territories on a continent. Lots of the territories have a picture of a building or other structure on them, which I assume are the structures that can be built on that territory. Some of the structures are portal rings, others are orc strongholds which I think are the places where each of the five players starts out. There are only two or three territories separating some of the strongholds, which seems too close to me, but I decide not to criticize that, either. Let her have her fun.

      Someone Else's Dream (6:29)

There's something strange and kind of scary going on. One at a time, a couple of my friends and I have been drawn into this dream scenario. The rule is that the last person to arrive is in control of the dream, even if they don't know that they're dreaming or don't have good dream control. It's scary, because that person could unknowingly force you to do very dangerous things. I'm discussing the situation with my friends when suddenly a new person enters the dream, a stranger to all of us. It looks like a small four-footed creature with wings. We're worried, but then someone points out that the new entity seems very attuned to their mental state--they've already realized they're dreaming, and they're trying to escape. Indeed, the creature is energetically bouncing up and down. After a few moments, it disappears, leaving the previous dreamer in control of the scenario.

      Spider Cleaning (8:06)

I'm in the basement of my house when a brusque girl comes walking up to me. She's been sent to clean out the spiders. I hadn't realized there were any spiders, and I say so. In response, she points at the ceiling of the bathroom. There's a sort of shelf made of cobwebs, with a couple big spiders on top and another clinging to the bottom. Oh. Wow, that's actually kind of scary. Then the girl starts swatting at the web with a broom, and the spiders fall to the ground and start crawling everywhere. Naturally, this makes me jump around a lot, and I'm impressed by how the girl seems totally unfazed.

      Conference (8:06)

My partner and I are sitting down to have a civil conversation with the villains we've been tracking down. We accomplished this civility by trading parts of the skin from our face. So one guy has darkly tanned skin above his upper lip, and paler skin on his jaw and chin. The other guy has mostly dark skin, except that his lips and a patch of skin around them are lighter. (There are no scar lines at all, so it's not grotesque; it's just weird seeing such stark contrast in skin tone.)

      Out With a Bang (8:06)

It's been a long story, and it's drawing to a close with the sole performer remaining on stage dancing to an upbeat musical number. With the final note of the music, she strikes a pose, and at that same instant, my alarm goes off and wakes me up.

    12. Spiders in The Blinds

      by , 09-05-2012 at 04:21 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was in the bonus room at my house, and noticed that all the blinds were swarming with spiders. I couldn't believe I had actually ever touched or messed with those blinds. Something about a little girl and the blinds, I think someone was filming her for a movie or something.

I also remember being in the shower, and seeing the water being stained red with blood, and I was falling in and out of sleep as some guy told me he was worried about me because of how much blood was in the water. I felt very tired and out of it, and didn't really care too much about the blood.

Did not get much sleep last night, feeling pretty rough this morning. Bleh. -_-

      Summer School

On Monday, we have an orientation. Then I go to bed to get rested for classes tomorrow.

For the first day of classes, we have to get in line for some kind of check-in. The line moves slowly, and by the time it's 8:25 I'm still a few places back from the front. My first class is at 8:30, so I think I need to go. I pick up my bags and leave the line, but one of the check-in ladies intercepts me.

"Oh, I'm sorry, did you have an early appointment today?" she asks.

I'm confused, because I don't think class counts as an "appointment," and doesn't every student in this room have class at 8:30? But we go through check-in anyway, and when we're finished, suddenly I remember that I was supposed to set back my watch by forty-five minutes. So I'm actually not late at all. No wonder no one else was worried.

I head to my morning class, thinking I'll be early. But when I get to the room, there are already a lot of people there. What? It's not even 9:00, and this class doesn't start until 10:00! But then I remember that this class is usually MWF, and we couldn't have class yesterday because of orientation. So the professor is squeezing in an extra session on Tuesday morning to make up for it. Hmph. Maybe he ought just have planned to have one less day's worth of material in the course.

The morning class involves a running game where there are a lot of items strewn around a medium-sized room with a grid-patterned floor. Sometimes new items appear in the middle of the grid squares. There are certain items we're looking for, worth more points than the others. We're competing to see who can collect the most points.

The first time I play the game, I think I did pretty well. But it turns out another guy actually won, because he grabbed the items worth the most points. I hadn't even known what those were, but now that I do know, I want to play again. The second time, I notice that there are people stuffed into lockers along one wall of the room, and some of them are worth points. The animation for the game is pretty good, and rather charming.

Now it's time for the afternoon class. I'm skeptical about this one, because the subject seems like total hocus-pocus. I'm not even sure what it is, actually. The professor tells us to take out our textbooks, and the whole class groans. We remember this book from yesterday. The title is completely nonsensical, and by now I'm pretty sure this class will be full of New-Agey crap that doesn't have any business being taught in a university. Good thing I'm sitting in the back.

During class, I notice that the girl sitting on my left is resting her head on my leg and dozing. That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, because it's almost like cuddling, and I'm glad she feels that comfortable around me. I'm also amused to confirm that she's just as bored as I am. She notices I've noticed, and she smiles. But it doesn't last too long, because the professor has the class break into groups for discussion and disperse to different rooms.

After discussion, there are still maybe twenty minutes left of class, but I don't feel like going back to the lecture hall. Everyone else leaves the discussion room, but I just spend a long time re-packing my backpack. I'm enjoying being lethargic, but I also hope that the professor doesn't take attendance at the end of class, so I don't get caught.

Later, I'm startled by a student coming into the room. But he's just there to move the front table back to where it was before discussion started. How responsible of him. Anyway, I guess that means class is over. Time to leave.

      Seven Keys

A middle-aged man hands a young boy a pistol, warning him never, ever to speak a word of what has been done with that weapon. Presumably it was used to commit a murder of some kind.

In the very next scene, the boy brings the gun to another, older man, telling him mischievously that something terrible has been done with it. When the man asks what, the boy says, "We blue'd it," and takes out another of the same kind of pistol, except this one has been painted blue. Amusedly, the man pretends to be horrified by this action. The idea is that the color blue isn't very aggressive or serious or anything, so it has no business decorating something like a gun.

The boy pretends to aim the gun behind himself, but then coincidentally a spider the size of a small dog comes running into the hallway right where he's aiming. The man's face abruptly becomes very serious. Fighting these spiders is the main purpose of this community, and he says to the boy, "You may fire." But the boy, not having seen the spider, is just confused. Instead, the man lifts his own gun, takes careful aim, and shoots the spider.

Now, I'm in the final stages of a game involving these spiders. The building I'm in has seven levels, and in order to get a good score for the game, I have to collect one key from each level. The trick is that in order to reach the next level, you have to use the key from the previous level, and in the process of using it, you have to leave it behind. So there's got to be some kind of secret passage I can use to go backwards from the end and pick up all the keys. I'm running all over the building trying to find this passage, and I have to restart a few times from a save point near the top of it. There are about five or six other people helping me out with this.

This time, I try using a sort of wooden fire escape on the outside of the building. It's very reminiscent of a treehouse, spiraling around a tree and built entirely out of two-by-fours. There's one other person following me down. On one landing, there's a dead spider, lying in a pool of its own fluids. "Watch out!" I call over my shoulder. "Spider juice!" (It's very dangerous.)

Once on the ground level, I go inside to find a lot of people in a large room. They want something from me; they're expectant that I've gotten the keys; or something. In response, I start taking off my shirts. I'm wearing seven of them, one for each level in the building. But taking them off is actually very difficult. I can't quite seem to pull the first one over my head. A thirty-ish woman, someone I know, asks me what's wrong. I reply that I don't know. I tell her that apparently my arms just feel very tired and I can't muster the force necessary to take off a T-shirt.

      Waking thoughts in black
      Non lucid dreams in blue
      Lucid dreams in red

      Dream 1 - non lucid (3.54am)
I am walking in a large underground tunnel. Occasionally cars pass me, and there is snow or frost covering the ground. For the first few minutes of the dream, I was watching myself from above, then I switched to being myself. I'm about to enter a door, or smaller tunnel, when a nice smily lady stops me. She tells me to take one of her Lucid Dreaming pills, so I can become lucid in my dreams. I take it, and she reads some sort of leaflet or program with me, telling me 'oh wow, this is gonna be fun, you're gonna really enjoy this!' then I enter the door / tunnel, which splashes water all over my head as I walk under / into it. I didn't actually get lucid, but as always I'm dreaming of lucidity and don't click on! What can I do to go that little bit extra?

I woke after this dream, and in my sleepy haze, thought I'd had no dreams and the dream was real. (I thought I'd really taken a pill to get lucid) I got up and shut the hatch window because I was cold, and realised it was a dream, so quickly wrote it down.

Dream 2 - non lucid / slightly lucid at end (5.43am)
For the record, I was mega hungry when I went to bed, as I wrote in my DJ each time, I considered WILDing but my stomach just kept growling! It's my birthday, and I'm sat with a group of people. I have a teddy bear shaped chocolate birthday cake, which I start eating. It's yummy! I finish the whole thing to myself. I laugh, and tell the others I'm sorry I didn't offer it out, but they don't mind. I offer to go to the shops to buy another and share it, but they say it's ok they really don't mind! Someone has been shopping already and has got lots of food that was reduced for 9p and so on. They let me help myself. Suddenly, a live band is about to come and play. I get excited and settle to watch. THE DREAM SWITCHES AGAIN. It did this the night before. Suddenly I AM the performer, instead of watching. I don't notice any change in dreaming other than this, and it doesn't dawn on me until I wake up. So now I am the singer for the band. I decide to sing well, I need to be lucid, and 'become' lucid in my dream.I wasn't really lucid, I still didn't know I was dreaming, I don't think my sleeping mind comprehended what 'lucid' really meant. As I am lucid, I can now fly, and sing really well, I put my heart and soul into the performance. I now switch back to watching the show again, and someone gives me a shot of vodka, with salt around the rim of the shot glass. I drink it, and it tastes like grapefruit and sugar! I like it so I have more, but I drain off the grapefruit juice / vodka and just eat the salt / sugar as I don't want to get drunk. I notice on the table there is a large snake. The snake is evil looking, it is very shiny and smooth, with a red and cream or off - white pattern, similar to a Corn Snake. However it has a head like a king Cobra, and huge, red fangs. I don't panic, but I know not to go near it. My friend who is sat with me tries to grab it, and does so very clumsily, leaving himself open to attack, however the snake doesn't attack, he does look very agitated though. My friend grabs it's neck and pulls, the snake is so strong and large, that he cannot move it, but instead he stretches the snake's neck in a painful way. The snake now bites him. I decide to 'become lucid' again to avoid being bitten. I know if I am lucid, I am only dreaming and so the snake cannot harm me. I fly up into the garden, and fly a few laps around, looking at the trees and bushes. As I do, I see many more snakes sat in the trees waiting and hiding. I want to get 'proper lucid' as I am aware I'm just dreaming of being lucid. And so I try to wake my brain up, while I'm still asleep, so that I will be lucid.I wake up for real. A very low level lucid at the end.

      Dream 3 - non lucid (8.22am)
I think I have forgotten the beginning of this dreamFor some reason, I HAVE to eat some raw eggs. The eggs are like little blackbird's eggs. There are about 5 of them but one keeps breaking and leaking everywhere, I carry them in a little plastic bag. I am in the back of a van, while someone drives the van to an underground car park, for some reason to do with the eggs. It is important I eat these eggs soon! I am completely naked, which I'm a little embarrassed about, so I try to find some clothes to put on, but I can't while I'm laying in the back of the van. Eventually we get to the car park, where several policemen block the entrance. We worry we won't get in, and the policemen asks for our names, I give them my surname, and to my surprise they let us in, showing us where to park. We park and I get out, the car park is empty except for a big, red double decker bus parked in the corner. We all talk about how we'd love to own one of those buses. A fashion show starts, and everyone is invited to join in, I am given a long shirt with a Union Jack design on it, and an Orange T-shirt to wear over the top. It's not my style but I'm naked so wear it anyway. I look ridiculous, but someone takes photos of me anyway. I go to put my socks on, because the floor is hurting my feet. There are a couple of little spiders around, but I ignore them as I'm not afraid of spiders. One bites me, and it actually really hurts. I flick it off and carry on, another one, bites me 3 times, and I flick it off, but it leaves some little bumps on my skin. The pain is quite intense. The spiders range in size, but all look the same. They are grey, with a white pattern and have 2 hairy back legs, the rest of the legs are thin. Someone googles them on their phone, and we find out they are called 'Cadavern' spiders. One bigger one, is red and black, and this one bites me again, the pain is terrible.

I get up early for the day, but easily could have stayed in bed and had more dreams.

      Dream 1 - non lucid 6.25am

I am talking to a friend about OBEs, I'm telling him how to do it, so he has a go, and floats like a ghost out of his body! When he returns I tell him he is a natural, and he is really happy. We are in a strange room which vaguely resembles an outhouse in a house I once lived in as a kid. There are big, nasty looking spiders all over and some other horrible insects. I had to keep telling myself good thoughts, so that I wasn't scared and the spiders didn't attack. I told my friend the more spiritual people can leave their body for up to one minute each time.

Suddenly my childhood dog appears, he was aggressive little terrier and I warn my friend he may bite. My friend lifts me up into the air to save me, but I panic because this is when he gets angry and bites, when people are touching each other. I try to tell my friend this but my dog starts jumping up, trying to bite me, at one point he catches my clothing. I beg to be put down, and my friend agrees, but although I know he won't bite me now, the dog runs up and bites me anyway.

Dream 2 - non lucid dream fragments

Me and some friends are eating popcorn, covered in warm, sweet toffee sauce. We share a big bowl.

In my DJ, it says 'GHOSTS, SPIRITS, SCARY.' but I am not sure what this means. I must learn to not write random words because I never remember what they mean.

Some scary faces on tshirts are chasing me, one of them bites me.

      Dream 3 - non lucid 8.12am

My sister gives birth to twin babies, they are 6 months early, and very very tiny, like little toys. I help her look after them because they are poorly and delicate.

There is a man (in his 50's, fat and balding, has glasses, a bit weird looking) he uses our toilet, but then won't come out. I look under the door to see what he is doing and he is taking off all his clothes, I am disgusted, and decide to leave. I want to leave now because I fear that if he sees me leaving he will follow, and I really don't want him to follow. However I have lots of plastic shopping bags to carry and it takes ages for me to pick them up while he is in the toilet, I worry I won't leave in time. Inside the bags are cardigans, and sherbert amongst other things I can't remember. The dream is taking place at night, it is dark outside.

      ***NOTEWORTHY***
The dog dies many, many years ago. He really was very vicious and would bite anyone who touched anyone else
      I'm not scared of spiders
I was reading about OBEs before bed
I don't wear cardigans nor do I eat sherbert!
My sister did have a premature, poorly baby years ago, but now he is very well.
