    2. Dream that was my Motivation to find this website

      I am in a classroom with a few people and the instructor, who looks like the 'Horn-rimmed Glasses' character in the TV show Heroes. I have a strong impression of memory, as if I have been in this dream for along time, perhaps many times before, although I can't say for sure now if it is a recurring dream, or if I simply had that impression at the time. I seem to have many memories of this place in the dream. I also have a slight sense of panic that I am enrolled in other classes than this, but have not attended them all semester (this is a recurring theme in my dreams because I have had a similar problem in real life). Additionally, I have a strong feeling that I am in this place as a part of a secret mission, and that I had been secreted away from my home to this exotic location, far away from my family.

      Suddenly, I am teaching the class. I am speaking about responsibility, lecturing the students that as the teacher, I am responsible for what happens even when I am not there. If I go to the bathroom and leave a student in charge, I say, and something happens, who is to blame? The students answer that it is the student in charge who is at fault, but I respond- "No, it is still my fault. I am responsible, and putting someone else in a position of temporary authority does not absolve me from blame."

      As a lady enters (an obvious authority figure) and begins speaking quietly with HRG (horn-rimmed glasses), I realize that I have been chatting with friends and family on the internet for much of my stay at this place, and they always seemed to be on the same time zone as me, which didn't make sense considering I was supposed to be far away. I take HRG and the lady aside into a hallway and come up with a quick plan. I ask the lady "where are we?" with some gravity, making sure she knew that I was serious about getting the truth. She responds with the name of the location. I can't remember it, and I didn't really pay attention at the time, I was simply making sure we were indeed NOT in America.

      I immediately followed with the question "when I have spoken with people online, there seemed to be no time difference. why?" She looks stricken and turns to HRG and says "except the time zone!" The sense I got was that they had realized a mistake- they hadn't completed the illusion fully. She turns to me and says, with similar gravity to my first question- "All I can tell you is, be patient."

      Even in the dream, this response gave me chills. I felt like I was under some illusion, perhaps being hidden somewhere while tests were done, or while I was being used for some devious purpose. Regardless, I didn't immediately realize it was a dream, but felt more like I must be in a "dream-like" world.


      At this time I stepped outside and marveled at the vividness of the world. I could see people moving about, and an old friend came gliding by- through the air- telling me this was not completely real. I become partially lucid. I still don't realize it is a dream, but I recognize it is NOT the real world, and test this with my usual lucid-test.. I attempt to levitate. I am able to do so, but in fits and starts, as if I am simply not fully lucid.

      As I have trouble "flying" around, my friend tells me "but you can RUN anywhere." This prompts me to pump my legs furiously in a running motion through the air, and I do start to "fly" around, but only while pretending to run. Further realizing that this is not real, I kickbox a few people that come near me, but I still apologize profusely to them, afraid that this might be real and not wanting to hurt anyone. This is common for me in lucid dreams. I tend to doubt my lucidity and constantly do things to prove to myself that this is a dream and not real, because of the extreme vividness.

      But every apology is met with the response that "that is ok, you can do whatever you want here."

      I fly around a courtyard area (same area I entered after speaking with HRG and the lady) and lose lucidity after a short time. I don't remember the rest of the dream. I may have awakened from sleep at this time. Even after waking up, I have a strong sense that what I experienced was REAL and not a dream. I am almost convinced something happened to me, and feel like the tv show LOST, where it is suggested that the island was a place the characters created with their own minds for each other- as a meeting place. It still seems VERY real to me.


      It takes me about 20 minutes in the waking world to get over the sensation and realize that it was all- in fact- just a dream, albeit a particularly impactful one. I will pay close attention to my dream log in the future for recurrences, because as I mentioned, I seemed to have deep memories of being in this place. I felt like i had been there for months before I realized I was not in a different time zone from family as I should have been. I continue to get chills when I remember the lady saying to me "All I can tell you is, be patient."

      I have had many lucid dreams over the last 10-15 years, but this one was so jarring that it prompted me to seek out a lucid dreaming forum, which led me to this website.

    3. The renovation

      The house was being renovated. It's usually been white, cheerful, modern looking, squarey rooms, and such. After the "renovation", the reason of which I never found out, the house was petty much only grayscale colors, with a dash of dark green and blue here and there. Rooms were triangley by shape, and the athmosphere was spookier. Me and the renovators were putting stuff like furniture, random boxes I did not know the contents of, electronics, food, and such, in the attic, to not get in the way during the renovation of the other part of the house. I went away for a little while. When I came back, I saw someone had taken all of the stuff from my personal room to the attic, including my PC and bed. They told me they'd have no time to do my room separately. I raged at them for a bit, and at least got them to agree to help to get the stuff out of the attic before they left.

      So it was night. Had to sleep now. The only really suitable place was this semi-big branch off from the living room. There were mattresses on the floor for me and the other people who live in the house (nobody from IRL, just random people living in the same house... o.o ). So we slept there. I had to move my mattress out of the way of someone at some point, and as I was getting back on the matress to get some moar sleep, I came lucid. I have no clue.. at all how. That spot is a blank space in my memory. Those couple of seconds. Then I remember is realizing that this might be a dream, and then doing a nose pinch RC, and it being successful. I looked around. I stood up. I was glad. I remembered that I had a lucid goal of seeing a certain object and touching it. However, I failed this. At least, I think I did. You see, the memory ends there after looking around. I have a pretty strong feeling the dream ended there, yet I don't really know. There was no fading, no sudden end, yet I can't remember anything farther than that, and I dont' feel like anything happened either.

    4. Flight Through the Picture and Car Troubles

      I woke up and looked at my phone to see what time it was. The screen looked funny; it was all blue with some weird word on it. I dismissed it at first, then decided to do a reality check. I looked away from the phone then back at it. The word had changed into another word, and continued to change as I was staring at it. I'm dreaming!

      The next thing I knew, I was standing in front of a giant picture of a sunny day at the park. Many people were in it, and they were moving around like the pictures do in Harry Potter. I flew through the picture and into the scene.

      I landed and wandered around. I counted my fingers on both hands. I was getting 5 each time. I finally got six after counting them twice. I ran through the park until I met a girl. She had short, light auburn hair.

      "What's you name?", I asked her.
      "Kim ____!", she replied (she told me her last name but I can't remember it right now. It was something like Hora? Not quite sure.)

      I ran with Kim through the crowded park for a few seconds. I focused on my hands so I wouldn't lose the dream.

      However, I then had another FA. I became lucid again, but it only lasted a few seconds.

      I was somewhere with Dakota. He had kissed me again, like in one of my previous dreams. He then whispered in my ear
      "I can't stay over tonight."

      I was driving down a road close to my neighborhood at night. I was approaching a red light, so I put on my brake. My car slowed down, but not much. I noticed that the brake had gotten stuck to the floor. Remembering what Ryan told me awhile back about how to fix your brakes if it does that, I tried his method: I stuck my foot under the brake to try to get it to come back up, but the pedal broke. I touched it, and it broke in half. Well, shit. I tried to brake anyway, but it wouldn't work.

      I was fast approaching the light and had to think fast. By the light, two police cars were stopped and had their lights flashing. I turned on my emergency lights and honked my horn as I maneuvered in between the two police cars. I finally slowed enough by a curb and stopped. One of the officers came up behind my car and asked what was wrong. I picked up the busted brake pedal off the floor and told him it went out. I looked out my back window, and he was examining my back left tire, which was flat.
    5. Making out, and "Straight-Leg Disease"?

      One of the weirdest dreams I've ever had. When I woke up from this dream, I wrote a VERY extensive entry into my hand-written DJ so I wouldn't forget ANYTHING.

      My girlfriend and I break up. We aren't currently anywhere, all I can see is my phone. Eden (my girlfriend) sends me a text saying "Hey, I think we should break up, it's just not working." I send back, "We should meet at the school and talk about this."

      Eden and I are texting each other, even though we're sitting right next to one another. This is something we have done in real life, when we first started dating. It's unclear to me what the texts say. We're sitting in the school atrium on a 3 level bench, which is absolutely NOTHING like the school I actually go to.

      The ground and walls are made up of very gritty, very dark, and very smooth marble. The darkness of it, almost seemed to suck in 90% of the light that was pouring in from the ceiling windows and the doors. It made the room very dark and gloomy, which brought my mood down a bit. Although my girlfriend just dumped me, I'm still quite normal. I'm not sad and I'm not happy, but I'm somewhere in-between. So, me and Eden are texting, and I don't know if it was the text, or the school, but I suddenly become Lucid. I performed a reality check, plugged my nose, and stopped there. It was the first successful reality check I'd had all night that didn't wake me up or change the dream dramatically. Needless to say, I. Was. Ecstatic. So my phone disappears, and I start talking to Eden.

      I don't remember what we talked about, but it lead to us making out on the bench. This was no surprise, because me and Eden have made out in public before. By now, a few people have come and gone. They talked to us about "Straight-Leg Disease" which I have no idea where that came from, but it's in my dream...so it must be significant somehow? Anyways, things are heating up quite nicely between me and her, and then her friend Beatrice walks into the room. She's wearing black spandex shorts which don't cover enough of her legs, and a shirt that has a see-through netting in front, and black cloth covering her sides and back. You could easily see her breasts, although they looked like man-boobs. She was fairly overweight. Beatrice says she has straight-leg disease and that it's horrible.


      Eden tells her that she and I have talked to a few boys who had straight-leg disease, and Beatrice yells, "THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! The way you get straight-leg disease from being punched in the butt!" I remember questioning the sexuality of the guys that had come and gone. I tried to kiss Eden, but she took my phone from me and went into the bathroom with her friend. (Straight-leg disease makes it very difficult and very painful to urinate, in my dream. I don't know if it's a real thing or not.) I went into the men's bathroom and the first thing I noticed was that it was very high tech. I walked into the urinal, and it was very disgusting.

      There was pee on the ground, and I was in my socks. I sleep with my socks on, and usually go to the bathroom as soon as I wake up, so I think that's why I was in my socks. I had trouble with the lock, it seemed to take a lot of effort to get it to slide and lock. I eventually got it, and proceeded to do my business, trying to figure out all the different buttons. When I got done, the toilet flushed itself. I had no trouble with the lock as I went out, and washed my hands. The water felt like my blanket that I lay over my comforter. This makes me wonder if I actually did the motions of washing my hands in my blanket. From here,
      I lost all lucidity for the rest of the dream. I went to look under the stalls (habit of mine, to make sure rapists aren't hiding, however I usually look before I do my business.) and somehow I could see through the stalls. Only when I bent down, though.

      I could see some Mexicans at the end stall, one was just sitting on the toilet. He came out and washed his hands in the sink next to me. I squinted my eyes and with a raspy Spanish accent, said "Sup esse." and nodded my head. He laughed and said "Hey." and I left the bathroom. When I went back to the bench, Eden wasn't there. Instead, 4 or 5 celebrities were there, talking on their cell phones and looking at clothing. One of them had my phone, and gave it to me, which was vibrating. I woke up to my phone vibrating, my friend had texted me.

    6. Waterbending and Task of the Month (just barely)

      I am in my room, getting ready to go somewhere or do something, I don't know exactly what. For no apparent reason, I think "what if this is a dream?" but decide everything feels far to realistic (As a side note, my dreams are rarely so realistic that I can wonder if it is a dream, and decide that it isn't. 99% of the time, as soon as the thought crosses my mind, I become lucid. Although in this case, the fact that my room was perfectly tidy should have been enough of a clue...) I decide that now is a good time to do a reality check anyway (because I'm still trying to make reality checks enough of a habit that I do them in automatically when dreaming). I look at the doll with two long braids that sits on top of my dresser, close my eyes for a second, and open them again.

      What the hell? The hair is in a different position. That can't be right, I must not have been paying attention.

      Just to test and prove to myself that I am awake, I step into a more open part of the room and jump while thinking about flying, fully expecting gravity to follow normal rules.

      But instead, I float up and hover near the ceiling ("Holy crap...")


      Okay, I guess I am dreaming.

      I remember reading a post about making dream time "longer" than the amount of time I'm actually asleep, and decide to try it.
      (Unfortunately, despite being lucid, I am still not particular logical, and this was something I was not planning on trying until after I'd gained fairly good dream control, which I don't currently have) I first decide to simply demand that the dream lasts for an hour, but I know right away that it hasn't worked, and the dream starts to fade. I stabilize it as much as I can, but it is still "dark" around the edges. I remember a different technique where you "travel" to another dream realm where time is different, and say "I want to go to the realm where one waking minute equals one dream hour."

      Nothing happens, and I'm not sure if I said it right, or if I had even said it out loud at all, so try again. This time, a portal of some sort appears in the wall beside me, and I go through it. As I do this, I hear a rather sinister voice say "Getting a little advanced, are we?"

      I fall backwards through blackness for a few seconds, just like the person who posted the technique had described, and find myself back in my room.

      Hoping that it worked, I remember my goal of learning to "waterbend," and fly through the wall, trying to visualize the beach at my cottage on the other side. But, as I go through the wall, the dream fades, and I wake up.


      I resist the temptation to move, and stay perfectly still once I realize I have woken up, and continue to visualize the beach, as well as imagining that Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender is there to teach me.

      I am suddenly in the dream, with Katara (and sometimes Aang) there. She talks to me a little bit as I try to do waterbending, but I don't remember what she was saying. I'm doing pretty good with the waterbending, getting it to move around the way I want it to.

      Suddenly, for some reason, she becomes evil, and there are people in boats swarming the beach attacking me. And I start attacking back, experimenting with different ways to move the water around, and freezing it to throw little ice darts at some of the attackers. I realize that I can just leave, or ignore the attackers (because they aren't actually doing anything to hurt me) but decide that this is actually kind of fun, and keep at it. For some reason, things start flipping between "cartoon 2D" and "3D," which kind of weirds me out, but then I think "Hey, that's kind of cool," and start doing it on purpose.

      At this point the dream is starting to fade again, and I suddenly remember "Crap, I was going to try the task of the month. I NEED AN INSTRUMENT!"

      Some sort of cross between a flute and a clarinet appears in my hand, and I start playing it while everything continues to fade. For whatever reason, without me choosing to do so, I/the instrument play(s) the classic "snake charming" Arabian music.


      I wake up, and once again try to slip back into a dream right away, but it doesn't work.

    7. First Lucid Dream

      My first lucid dream! I was sitting in a living room and was watching the news there was a lady talking about how the temperature was very cold this morning because of frontline winds that cooled the area. Then she talked about ongoing wild fires that struck the area. It seemed as though I lived in the Arizona area but when I was watching the news, they shown a map of the wildfires on the state of California and then shown some wildfires in the state or Illinois but it was on the left of missouri where Kansas should be. I knew immediately that this wasn't possible so I pinched my nose to see if I can breathe through it and after I did the reality check and knew I was dreaming. I was lucid for about three seconds. The feeling was extremely weird. As though I began melting through the bed and then I was aware of my breathing and then I can feel my heart rate accelerate. I began to feel exited and then woke up. (I think the reason why I was getting feelings of my physical body is because after I did the reality check, I told myself in the dream that this is a dream and I'm lying in bed right now. I soon got an image of me lying in bed but I think I was beginning to focus on my body and I think that's the cause of breath awareness and the accelerated heart rate) When I woke up I didn't move at all, then I immediately went back to a dream but I think I was non-lucid this time. I'm not sure. I started off on this island where there were blocked shaped sheep and I was surrounded by blocked shaped bushes. Sorta like the game Minecraft. Then the thought came from nowhere about flying So I tried my first attempt at flying and jumped in the air. That was a fail. I tried running and began to levitate and soon I was able to somewhat fly. I wasn't that good because it was my first try. I can remember myself falling back into this field of water not sinking through. I was flying so fast I could walk on water for a brief time so I can catch the air and begin flying again. Then after the flight I crashed landed onto this parking lot area. Where this car approached me. I stopped it and asked the driver if he was Jesus. He said no and I told him to get out the car. He pulled out what he said was a magic wand but it looked like it was twisted from an iron hanger. For some reason I felt evil and wanted to make mockery of him. So I begin to threaten him and told him I didnt need the wand. He began to go into a defensive state and I snapped my fingers to paralyze his legs and arms while standing. (at this point I started to loose lucidity) I couldn't control myself and was telling him I was gonna spawn my buddy to take care of the job. I remember saying it was a monkey. When I was about to call his name, my alarm clock woke me up and I was disassociated from the dream this time and had to get up. Well I can say that this was a good experience for the first time lucid dream.

    8. OBE Inside a Dream

      I had the weirdest dream last night. I'm guessing this happened sometime before 5 AM. It was really vivid, like 7/10

      I had an OBE inside of my dream: In my dream, I was laying in my bed, as if I had woken up. The way the lighting was in my room, I'd have to say it felt like around 8 AM in the dream. I was laying there, and for some reason I tried to have and OBE, which I've never done before. I pulled my duvet over my head and layed still. After only a short time, I did the RC where you hold your nose and see if you can breath, and I could breath. I rolled out of bed to a weird room. It was shaped like my room, but decorated with tropical island/beach decor. Like palm trees and sunset pictures everywhere. Then, in the dream, my mom pulled me out of the OBE by 'waking' me. I had no idea this entire time that I was in a dream, btw. I was so mad at my mom, and I yelled at her. She thought it was funny when I told her about it when I actually woke up.

      I've never had a dream in a dream or anything like this before. I was a little freaked out when I woke up. That was the only dream I can remember from the entire night.

    9. The Camp

      After becoming lucid, I noticed a group of people gathering and preparing to enter what looked like a concentration camp. I was flying at the time, and thus decided to come down to them and ask them what was going on. "Oh, we're signing up to become members of this awesome club." I tried telling him about the concentration camp thing, but he didn't listen. "Look man, Abel would never lie to us.". I decided he wasn't worth my time. I infiltrated the camp later and looked around. I found the conditions were less than favorable. People made to pay for private rooms, otherwise they got a little shed made mostly out of thin paper. The longterm members talked of vulgar things, which was really disgusting. Nothing seemed to be owned by the members, as it was all taken and, presumably, brought before this Abel character. I figured I should try to free these fools who were suckered into this.

      I started the assault by blowing up a new members shack WITH MY MIND AND I WAS ALL, PYEEEOOOOOOOWWWW! I then turned my attention to a members log, a place where I heard a lot of the vulgar talk before. I blasted it with my Uber Bolts, which go PEW PEW PEW PEW, BOOOOOOOM!!!!

      Unfortunately, I woke up then.

      *A dream within a dream. If you never seen this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inception then do so. It may help you if you happen to be on this forum reading this.
      *Was not lucid but in a way I was. You define lucid as "you know when you are dreaming while in the dream" bluntly. In the dream within the dream I was lucid in that sense but never became aware of being lucid in the full dream itself. For this reason I am marking it lucid.
      *Had a dream fragment before this and forgot as soon I woke up.
      *Major note: This dream entries is clean and safe for work but not the full story. I took out a few major parts of it and put it in my private journal.

      Dream: [layer 1]

      Eddie Murphy is the main character. To make it quicker to write MC = Eddie Murphy while me/myself/etc = me. This dream was like watching a movie.

      MC walk into a collage-like place...Total freedom though importation place. Maybe a place to test dreaming science? Anyway he saw a young girl (about 21) wearing a white T-shirt and have huge boobs (simple saying boobs is still safe for work right?) and asked what is going on. She hand him a book which basically steal an idea from the movie Inception. The idea of spending most of your life asleep to be gods or have fun in your little dreamland. (Remember the scene where a ton of people were just laying in beds while the main characters were looking for a drug strong enough to do the job?)

      Basically this book will knock you out forever or close to it. That or you dream so long that it felt like it...For whatever reason the book was bad news for the long term and can even be seen as deadly for the MC. I guessing the book was the MC.

      The next scene (this dream felt like a movie for the most part) have the young women with the godly pair sitting on a log in the middle of a forest with a pond in front of her. I remember so clearly of how clean and clear the pond was. MC complained and the girl ask him something about the book which MC quickly reply something like "Yea, I already got me another one!" which then he toss the book in the pond.

      Dream: [Layer 2]

      The girl and MC somehow enter a dream for whatever reason. I was a DC (lol ironic and funny enough I was lucid but I guess I wasn't personally) MC and the girl were both of course were lucid...Else the book would been close to useless.

      The girl fell in love with me for a reason. The dream ended with me, MC, girl, and like two other(?) dream characters/people who join in with the MC when it came to searching for the girl. The landscape was close to before but with a volcano in the background and being in a colorful rain forest.

      I remembered two dreams last night, one of which is this entry. (I'll finish typing up the other one in the morning.) This dream was another cool lucid, if not a low-level one. I did some more stabilization, including looking closely at an incredibly detailed flower, and I teleported to an airport reminiscent of the brief shot from Fight Club where the narrator runs up to a window. I kinda lost my lucidity, and the dream, after that though. It was still worth it.

      I started out in my bedroom. There was just a slight amount of moonlight coming in through the window blinds, but other than that, it was very dark - so dark, in fact, that as I was walking around, I had my hands out in front of me. I could barely see the outlines of objects in my room! According to the preexisting plot of this dream, I had just finished a WILD attempt, and I had entered this dream moments earlier. I was 'lucid' - but not actually. I was only pretending to be lucid as part of the dream plot, when in reality I wasn't lucid at all. I remember being slightly nervous because the area was so dark, and I wanted to get out as soon as I could. I was initially standing near the foot of my bed, but then I started following an invisible ball of energy, which was floating not two feet in front of me, at around shoulder level. It gave off a distinguishable presence, even though I couldn't see it, and I knew that this ball of energy was KingYoshi. He had been waiting for me to enter the dream, and was now going to show me where to go (what...?!). It started moving towards the window, and I slowly walked after it.

      I arrived at the window and forgot all about the "KingYoshi" ball. When I walked up to the window, the lighting coming through the blinds became a bit brighter and more aqua in color, as if an alien spaceship had just come down and hovered in front of it. I grabbed the right side of the blinds, bunching a few of them up with my hand and pulling them down with a slight amount of effort. I sensed there was a dark hand above the blinds, trying to prevent me from pulling them down and onto the floor. Anyways, I was now looking out a window without the actual windowpane in place; it was just an open area now. I don't know if there was a windowpane to begin with, but did it matter?

      I looked out the window and down towards the ground (my room is on the second floor of the house) and I saw the front driveway of my house. This was a little 'off', because the window to my bedroom in real life is looking out over the backyard, not the front area of the house. But this didn't matter. In real life, the driveway of my house is a big square area that consists of many neatly-arranged, reddish stones with a connecting driveway to the street. It was the same in the dream, except instead of there being a 2-lane residential road, there was a pressed gravel road. On the other side of this road, instead of houses, there were lots of pine trees. There was also a large pine tree on the right side of the driveway, right next to some smaller shrubs and greenery.

      Back to myself, I was still in the house, overlooking this area. Like in my previous recorded dream, I made a lazy jump out the window. However, even though the distance from my second-story bedroom to the ground seemed pretty far from the window, as I jumped, the distance seamlessly became next to nothing. There was next to no impact when I landed. I only recoiled slightly, which wasn't very noticeable. The atmosphere and time of day was still nighttime, but it was more well-lit outside because of the moon (which I knew was out, even though I didn't actually see it in the sky). I started to walk down the driveway, away from the house, and I became lucid once I got about halfway there. I did the nose-plug RC, and I could breathe, so I knew I was dreaming. I rubbed my hands together and looked at them, counting five fingers on each hand. If something was weird about them, I never noticed.

      I continued walking down the driveway and, since I was only semi-lucid, I didn't think of teleporting at the moment. Instead, I involuntarily decided to turn right down the gravel road and walk in the moonlight. Right before I turned the corner, I saw a few green dandelion weeds (minus the yellow dandelion part) at the foot of the large pine tree next to the driveway. These weeds were accompanied by a few white daisies, and a small clump of lilacs. The flowers all looked normal; realistic - the daisies had white petals with a yellow center, and the lilacs were lavender in color, just like they are in real life. I knelt down and smelled the air around the flowers, and I could actually pick up the scent of lilacs! It was awesome!

      I turned my attention towards the daisies. I picked one up; it didn't put up a fight and resist being pulled up from the soil at all, as if it was just floating in air. As I brought it towards my face and looked at it closely, I realized that the white petals now had a huge amount of tiny, pint-sized holes in them; these holes were more abundant towards the outer regions of the petal, and a few of these petals looked like they were eaten a bit around the edges. I saw the slight bending of the petals as they connected to the center, which now looked like the middle of a sunflower with all the seeds, except this was a solid yellow. The amount of detail was stunning; I'd never seen details as crystal clear and sharp before, regardless of the fact that I was only semi-lucid. The flower was so sharp, in fact, one could easily have thought there was aliasing around the edges. My gaze was fixed on this flower for a good minute or so, just observing all the details.

      "Wow, this is amazing!" I gasped sometime during the observation, completely astonished.

      I could make this entry a five-star one just from that moment alone.

      After I finished looking at the flower, I got up onto my feet again and dropped it to the ground. Then I continued walking down the gravel road, surrounded on both sides by large, dense pine trees. I observed that the trees on the right side of the road were a bit thinner and shorter than the ones on the left, looking back and forth a few times and chuckling because of that strange layout. After two or three minutes of just walking along, I got to a clearing. It was like one of those half-circle campsites you see along the side of the road, except at least five times the size, and there was one of these on both sides of the gravel road. The ground was all gravel now, with the exception of the grassy terrain that started on the edges of these 'campsites', where the pine trees were clustered, bordering the area. The place made a big circular clearing that must have been a good two hundred feet wide and long.

      On either sides of the circle were some pretty strange setups, though. On the right side of the clearing, there were two thicker, square glass panels that were propped up on their sides, about thirty feet from one another. They were at a good ten feet high and wide. On top of them, going from one panel to the other, was a longer glass panel of the same thickness. In between the two square glass pieces, and sheltered by the long one on top, was a big bed. It looked like something from a game; the bed was very smooth (like plastic) and basically consisted of a solid, wood-colored rectangle with another, pale red-purple rectangle with smoothed edges on top and coming over the sides like a bedsheet. I saw a low headboard made from the same wood-colored piece as the rest of the bed. There was a white rectangle, again with smoothed edges, for a pillow on top of the covers near the end.

      I was losing my lucidity; by now I was probably only at a 3/10, but I kept going in regards to dream control. I turned to the left and saw a small, beaten-up wooden house. I walked over to it and opened the door, entering into a bedroom. This bedroom was about 15x15 feet with smooth, medium-tone hardwood floors, beige wallpaper, and brown wooden paneling along the floor (I'm tired; I can't remember what it's called at the moment). There was a closet in the middle of one wall; it took up a good chunk of the wallspace and was made of two smooth, sliding wooden doors with no handles. I went over to this closet, dug my nails into the wood of the left door, and pulled it over to the right, expecting an airport terminal to be on the other side. I needed there to be a large glass window and viewing area - I'm surprised I managed to teleport like this, let alone to the proper area, with such a low level of lucidity. The door opened to practically an exact replica of the airport briefly seen in Fight Club, near the end of the film. It's that place the narrator is in when he's got himself smushed against the window, frantically looking outside. I could see down the terminal and saw a regular seating area, but the place was all empty. There were no people whatsoever.


      I'd completely lost my lucidity at that point, and the dream not ten seconds later.

    12. LD 4: Depressed Joseph Gordon-Levitt

      NON DREAM DREAM LUCID

      A friend and I had decided to sign up for the Food Network show Chopped, which is like an elmination every week reality show for cooking. We both get onto the show and are very happy. Me and my friend (H) get on the bus, which will take us to the set of the show. H and I sit down, and we're surrounded by other contestants. We try to socialize with them, and found one girl to be really nice. I don't really remember much of her, who she was, or what she said, except that she had a very narrow face, olive skin, and dark brown wavy hair with bangs that covered a lot of her face. I remember looking at a brochure for Australia, which led me to realize that these contestants came from all over the world to compete on this show. Finally, the bus arrives at it's destination. H and I get off with all the other people to find us standing in a mostly empty parking lot. We see the hosts, but I don't really remember them too well. I'm standing there and listening as we are assigned our first challenge, when I suddenly come to horrifying realization.

      I can't cook.
      In real life, I can make ice, and that's pretty much it. Even when it comes to simple things like trying to cook Kraft macaroni, I end up failing. Both times I tried to make it, I ended up making people sick...oops. Anyways, so that's when I come to the not so horrifying realization that I'm dreaming, thus making me lucid. Yay!

      So, I ditch Chopped. I remember the other contestants mocking me and jeering at me for being such a baby and backing out before the show even started, but I ignore them.

      Suddenly, I am somehow transported to a very modern looking mansion type office building. I see random DCs walking around, but I ignore them, too. I have a goal in mind. I find my friend N walking around, and I approach her. I ask, "Have you seen Arthur anywhere?" referring to my absolute favorite character from Inception, as portrayed by one of my favorite actors, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I figured that if I ask someone where he is, implying that I already know he's here, I'll be able to find him. Other methods, like trying to make people appear by summoning them with mind power, never work outs for me.

      N says, "Yeah, I know he's around here somewhere. Just keep running down the halls and turn the corner, you should find him." We both set off running down a hallway, and right before we turn the corner, and outstretch my arms, because I really wanna give Arthur a hug.
      (Don't judge, I'm a huge JGL fangirl, ok?) But instead, to my dismay, I turn the corner to find my old 7th grade English teacher wearing footsie pajamas. That image will never be erased. I keep running down that hallway, once more outstretching my arms. When I turn the next corner, I instead find my Grandma running towards us. As horrible as it makes me sound, I don't feel like hugging my grandma, so I disappointingly put my arms down again. I ask N, "Do these hallways just keep going and going?" and she replies, "Yep, pretty much."

      Eventually and thankfully, though, I somehow manage to get out of the constant hallways, and I'm standing in this hotel-looking lobby. I enter a doorway, in which I find myself standing in a HUGE ballroom place, FILLED with people. I automatically know that these people are all celebrities, and if I'm going to find Arthur/JGL anywhere, it'll be here. I see a set of modern looking stairs that lead up to a platform, so I run up to get a good view of the crowd. It's obviously a very formal event, because all the men are wearing tuxedos, and every single woman is wearing a fancy, sparkly black dress. They're all talking and mingling very loudly.

      Wanting to get their attention, I as loudly as I can yell out, "HEY! EVERYBODY QUIET!". It actually worked, and everyone turned up to look at me. "I'm looking for Joseph Gordon-Levitt," I shouted. Suddenly, I notice a figure beginning to walk away, only to be pushed back in place by a random group of people. It's JGL! Yay!

      He begins walking again, towards the exit, wearing a rather awkward smile on his face. He obviously doesn't want to be here.

      Oh, and he had facial hair. Don't know why that's important, it just is.

      Anyways, my mom suddenly is standing by me, and she says, "Well? Go on and catch him!" I run down from the platform and down the stairs, chasing after him. He begins to run faster. Now we're out in the lobby. He still has that weird smile on his face, which was starting to get creepy. He sat down on a couch in the lobby, and he looked slightly upset. (Still smiling, though. Don't know how he managed that.) I found a random drink kiosk and decide it would be smart to buy him a beer, which cost $7. Geez. But he refused to take it. And he wasn't saying anything, so matter how much persisting and prodding I did. Man, he was stubborn.


      Then, I "wake up." That's right, folks, I'm now in some sort of a false awakening. Except, in this "reality", I'm sitting on the same couch that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was just sitting on, and I'm hugging a water bottle. My best friend H is there, and she laughs at me for falling asleep in such a position. I tell her about the dream that I just had.

      Then I actually wake up. But, being the lazy teenager that I am, I went back to sleep, even though it was probably already noon. Oh well.

      I'm thrown straight into lucidity. This time, I'm in this strange indoor pool place, with lots of walls that you have to climb over to get to the pools. There are lots of scattered pools that are dark and murky, but I swim in them nonetheless. I remember swimming in this one pool, doing lots of spins underwater. I heard some man say, "Huh, I guess the water's not toxic, then." I'm pretty sure he was the manager of the place.

      I get out of the water, and lo and behold, sitting on a couch by the edge of the pool, is Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Also, to my surprise, I had transformed into and older version of myself and I looked completely different. Usually in lucid dreams I have lots of difficulty changing my appearance, but this time, I didn't even try. I looked just like Sarah Roemer, an actress from a show I used to watch called The Event. Hmm, random.

      Anyways, I walk up to JGL, who I know is supposed to be Arthur. He looks extremely depressed and lonely, and I automatically feel really bad for him. I guess I'm supposed to be his best friend, so I decide to go sit next to him. Turns out he has to apply for this design school and to do that, he needs to fill out an information card about him. He's too upset for whatever reason to fill it out himself, so I offer to do it for him. He gratefully accepts my offer.

      I notice he has a picture with him. It's a picture of a little girl and a little boy dressed in their Halloween costumes, with the little girl dressed as a princess and the boy as a pirate. I realize it's supposed to be the both of us, and discover that I'm not his best friend...I'm his little sister.

      Crap.

      I still have to fill out the info card, but I pretty much know nothing about him. Inception doesn't tell you much about our dear Arthur. But what kind of sister doesn't know these basic facts about their big brother? I really wanna play the part, though, so I stay cool. Eventually, there's a part on the card where I have to put down his age. Problem is, I don't know his age. I jokingly ask, "How old are you?" as if I was just messing around. He looks rather annoyed and answers very sarcastically, "Nine." He wasn't giving me a real answer. I put down '9' on the card...then he looks at me like I was crazy. "Why are you putting that down? I wasn't being serious. Put a '2' in front of that nine." I do, and say, "So...29?". He gives me a look that says, "Duh."

      Then he starts shaking his head and says, "Can we just skip to the 'About Me' part? I'm getting tired of this." I do, and ask what he wants me to right. He shrugs, and mumbles "I don't know." I sigh. Obviously, Arthur here isn't gonna be very cooperative.

      Somehow, we both get transferred to some school where he is giving a presentation on design to some kids. But, he's still really depressed. After the presentation, he just sits down in a chair, frowning, and he's not talking again. Perfect.

      All the kids, who I realize are kids that I go to school with, start clapping for him, including me. Hey, I'm not gonna be an un-supportive sister. Then, the kids walk up to him and start trying to make him move, by waving in his face and stuff. He's not having it, though. He looks pretty spaced out. I catch of glimpse of his face through the mob of kids around him, and you can just see the pain and sadness in his eyes. It was pretty intense.

      Now I'm not Sarah Roemer anymore. I'm my regular self. I realize one of my best friends J is standing next to me. She asks, "Wait, why is he so upset and stuff?" I just shrug and say, "I don't know. I'll just ask him on the car ride home." She nods at this apparently perfectly acceptable answer.

      One girl I know, M, starts poking her finger in his face. Then...he sneezes on her, causing everyone to start cracking up, and, guess what! He actually smiled! So much for the seriousness of the dream. Oh well.


      I'm transferred to another part of my dream, and I'm no longer lucid. Sad, sad. Anyways, I guess I'm at school, but it's my old elementary school. Class is about to start, but I could not for the life of me find my locker or remember my next class. I was completely confused. I start walking down the hallway towards a random classroom, where I find a teacher who I vaguely recognize. She asks me to help her with some classroom chores, and I comply. When I try to explain to her that I can't remember my next class, she ignores me.

      Then, the assistant principal walks up and stands in the doorway. I try to tell him that I don't know where I'm supposed to go, but he just says, "Oh, that's too bad," in a kind of joking manner. Which I can totally picture him doing in real life, by the way.


      The dragon has risen from its slumber. I wake up, completely intrigued by the awesome dream I just had. When I think back to that last little part of the dream, I keep picturing Rebecca Black, so I'm pretty sure she was somehow involved. God, I hope she wasn't singing.

      Also, on a side note, I feel very achieved. I've transformed my appearance, hung out with a celebrity, and lucid dreamt somewhere other than my house, which were all personal dream goals of mine. All in all, it was a definite success. Yay!

    13. Star Wars battle and bar fight

      WILD/FA/DILD

      This dream occurred during a nap. It started when I woke up and was able to WILD. It includes multiple battle scenes, but because the dream is so long, I am missing pieces. For the initial WILD, I had a strong butterfly feeling in my stomach as I entered the dream.

      After I felt my stomach drop, I did the nose RC and I had successfully WILDed. I stood up from my bed but the room was dark and fuzzy. I spun around like 4 times and rubbed my hands together. This did not clear up my vision. As I stumble out the door, I lose the dream and have an FA.


      I "woke up" in my bed with two girls in the room. They were apparently my friends and one may have been SW. I told them I just had a lucid dream and we started talking about it. We thought it would be cool if we could all become lucid and try playing instruments together in a dream. I lay back down in my dream bed and attempt another WILD.


      I sat up in the same bed with the girls there. I did an RC and I was dreaming. So I try to play an instrument like we planned earlier. I chose a saxophone but it looked like a lot of work to assemble, and it seemed like a waste of lucid time so I left the room.


      There is a large gap in my memory here. I think I lost the dream soon after and FAed once or twice. I believe I tried a few sexual endeavors. I remember I was hanging with a group of bandit type people and probably fighting. This is where the memorable stuff starts.


      Something bad happens with my team of DCs. We were trying to accomplish some goal and failed. The leader of the group looks like an Indiana Jones type character. He said we have to go deeper into the dream; it was the only way. Despite the Inception reference, our goal was to take down the server, like in the matrix.
      I realize that I am still dreaming and I am facing a giant metal cylinder and I peer down into it. There is only white abyss. Im not afraid of death, and the leader thought it was the right idea. We all leap into the tube (probably 15 ft in diameter) and land in this hallway with metal walls. A lone stormtrooper is standing at the end of the hallway and the leader incapacitates him somehow. I say "secure the blast doors" just because I thought it was a funny Star Wars line to say. And then I heard a stormtrooper voice say the same thing. We run forward to engage more troopers.

      I split off from the group and enter a room with a few stormtroopers and many big metal boxes just sitting in the middle of the room. As soon as I see the first trooper I use a force push. He falls back like 10 ft. and stays down. I look at another and I shoot a web spiderman style right at his face. I retract the web so he is thrust toward me. I grab him and use him as a human shield as I reach into my pocket. I expect to pull out a handgun and dig for 3 seconds until I feel the right shape. I pull it out, jam in a clip, and shoot over the troopers shoulder at another. I only have like 5 shots before I run out. I drop the gun and charge another trooper. I punched him once in the face and he went down. (Im not sure what happened to the trooper I was using as a human shield. He may have just fell down.) I rejoin my team and we push forward. I lose the dream soon after.


      I have another FA and I wake up somewhere that is not my house. I needed to drive back home, but I was still very tired. I was trying to drive with my eyes barely able to stay open. It seems pretty dangerous so I pull over. My buddy SC comes up on a bike and I grab one and start riding with him. After a few minutes I was tired and complaining about the bike ride. I was like, "this sucks, I bet im dreaming and I dont even have to do this." Not really expecting it to work, I perform an RC and it does. I double check and I am dreaming.


      I tried to show SC that I was dreaming by making a DC levitate. I point out my hand and try some telekinesis. Although telekinesis is one of my most consistent lucid abilities, it didnt work. The DC only looked up as I tried to make her float. We enter a bar in a small courtyard area. There are only guys in the bar when I walk in. Two people are slouching in chairs. We go up to them and they seem pretty hostile. I decide to fight for my dignity. However, there was just a lot of failed control moments. I try many of the same moves as with the stormtroopers but they arent as effective. I decide to pull out another gun, but it jams or something. And it turns out he has a bigger one. I was able to land a few good blows on one, but I was disappointed for being lucid and him only being a DC. Despite this, he was impressed and let us chill at the bar. It seemed to be some sort of test for toughness and I passed. He introduces me to the bartender and I find a girl that I start fooling around with. I soon wake up
    14. chasing old friend around in forest...

      just a fragment this time, i was walking through a massive forest, i came out into a small clearing with an old cabin against a huge cliff, and a friend of mine i havent seen in some 22 years was standing there with a bunch of papers in his hand, and i said "hey! whatcha got there man?" and he started to walk away quickly and i gave chase and i kept trying to grab the papers but he kept avoiding me, and i couldnt even get close, i chased him into a small openeing in the woods and ended up standing on a huge cliff, and across the seemingly bottomless drop below, my friend was standing on another cliff maybe 1/2 mile away, and i said "damn, I wish i could channel in thei dream!" them i awoke....channeling, in case you guys might not know, is an ability in a series of books i'm reading now called, "the wheel of time" by Robert Jordan....be a cool ability to have!!

    15. My first Lucid Dream.

      I had this dream last night, before I even knew about Lucid Dreaming...I'd heard about it from my friend, who I'll call M. M said that he was trying to control his dreams, and that he was getting better at it every day. I thought he was crazy, until I had this dream.

      A little background before we start, or the dream won't really make sense to anyone but me. My brother, G, has moved away to Alaska. He's 18. He's in Alaska working for Peter Pan Seafoods, as a conveyor belt worker. My other brother, B, is addicted to black tar heroin. A truck that G owns was left at our house, and B thinks that it's his and that he can drive it anywhere he wants. I hate him with a passion. He's trashing it.

      Now the dream:
      I fell asleep, and everything was normal. I don't normally dream, but tonight I did. I started out at my house, B was taking the truck everywhere, and I told him he needed to stop, and tried to keep him from doing it in some really ridiculous and impossible ways. I suddenly stopped and realized I was dreaming. One of the things I want most right now is for G to come home, and then he did! He helped me get B to stop driving the truck, then that night we stole B's car, and we go to a skate park. The skate park is the bowl one off of GTA IV, frequent players will know which one I'm talking about. Nobody was skating and it was boring, so we meet our friends, D and Ga, and we go to a golf course. Then, suddenly it's like I'm playing an RTS/Dota game, and I can see a mini map, and I can see that my house is being attacked (party) and then I can see me, G, Ga, and D all naked (our friends like to get naked and sit around fires..or just get naked and chill) and it's like I'm seeing it from a satellite zoomed in, and Ga is freaking out about it, he's self conscious (3/5ths japanese, lol) and so we all leave. Me and my brother, G, say goodbye to D and Ga and we part ways. Me and G go home and we realize we left the truck at the skate park (even though we stole B's car) so I wait on the street a couple houses from my house, it's very dark. G pulls up in the truck, and a girl gets out and runs away from him. G is just...idk what he was, he was acting so weird, like he was a zombie. Me and him start fighting about the girl, I told him it's sick that he would pick her up and scare her away like that. We start fighting REALLY bad, he ties me up to the telephone pole outside of our house, and starts making me twirl flaming sticks. Then I smack him with the fiery end of the stick and I get away from him, and then I suddenly have super strength and I'm chasing him and beating him, and he runs into the house, and I'm right behind him, he runs through the house and in his room, into his closet. I run in and see that he's in his closet and that it's open, so I shoved the door into him and step away in case he tries to shove it back, and he comes out looking at me kind of sad, and really confused, and he's holding a piece of paper. He walks up to me and shows it to me, and before I can see what's on it, I wake up.

      I didn't have any control over this dream, but through the whole thing, I had a conscious mind that I was in a dream. I woke up and texted M and told him that I just had the craziest dream, and then I wrote it down. So I took some notes on what I could remember, the important parts, that would make me remember the whole thing, and researched Lucid Dreaming...and that is how my day went.
