      Lucid Games

Just a short dream fragment. I was at my grandma's house and watching TV with her. We were watching the "Lucid Games". I became lucid right after hearing about it. I didn't run off to do anything crazy though. I just sat their and watched the games. They were sort of like the Olympics, but for lucid powers instead. One game I do remember was a transformation contest.

      Dinner With Aliens

It was the middle of the night and I was inside some farm house. I had the urge to go outside an look for something. When I went outside, I looked up at the sky and saw a UFO. "Holy shit." I said. I became lucid at this point for obvious reasons. Even though I was lucid, I wasn't in the mood to see aliens, so I ran. I ran back into the house and went through the back door. There was a cellar right outside there. I opened the cellar and could feel the energies of the aliens coming closer. There weren't any stairs to the bottom and it was very dark. I felt the aliens just around the corner, so I jumped down the hole into the cellar.

The hole was like a giant slide. I just slide down the metal slope for about 10 seconds before I hit the bottom. I could still feel the aliens nearby and I ran around the basement looking for another place to run. I saw some vents in the walls. I was worried it could lead to a dead end, but I decided to take my chances. I jumped into the vent and started crawling through. I then fell into some room full of that fluffy insulation stuff. I ran around the room and looked for another place to run, but it was a dead end. At that point I decided to give up and face the aliens. It was just a dream, so I figured they couldn't be too bad.

Two teenage girls then crawled through the vents and fell into the room. I put my hands up in the air to show that I had given up. Aliens that look like girls wasn't quite what I was expecting. One of them put a collar and leash around my neck for some reason. The other one then mentioned something about having dinner with the humans. So the dream skipped and I'm sitting at a dinner table with my family and the two aliens. I woke up shortly after this.

      Lucid Protesters

Another fragment. I was standing in a crowd of people who were protesting against lucid dreaming. They were saying that it was dangerous to our society. So of course, this made me lucid and I flew straight up into the air to piss them off.

      Redirecting Lightning

Once again, just a dream fragment. I was standing in the middle of an open field during a thunderstorm. I was lucid, but I'm not quite sure why. I saw that the lightning in the sky was becoming more active. I knew it was going to strike soon. I then remembered how Iroh could redirect lightning on Avatar. So I became completely aware and waited for it to strike. The a bolt of lightning then came down towards me and I pointed my fingers at it. I took my other hand and guided the lightning down my arm and into my stomach. I then pointed back towards the sky and released it into the clouds. It felt very intense and energetic.

    2. Ghosthunters and Killer Rainbow Dragons

      by , 04-26-2012 at 10:40 PM
      Night of April 25

3:44- Two men are ghost hunters, but one far more experienced than the other. The first had dark, short hair and was cleanly shaven. The other had longer, blonde hair with stubble. I saw him attract a ghost by laying on one side of the bed, but I can't recall what happened after that. There was something about a white pillar that was in a stadium of sorts. Or maybe it was the stadium. I can't recall. The darker haired tried to show off in this building, but the blonde put him down. In a new house, the darker hair decided to attract a female ghost. He passed the blonde resting in a white rocking chair. The darker laid down in a long room with a TV and a window in front of the TV a few feet in front of it. I think there was a couch too below the window. It led into black. To the other end of the room there was the bed against the wall with the door next to the bed. Anyway, the ghost appeared and he pretended to be asleep. I dont know what happened but suddenly the blonde was there and really close to the dark haired man. When he saw he was asleep, he left and that was it.

The dream switched to Shirley from Code Geass running through the woods. Apparently light came from chests the larger they were and she was running from people out to hurt her. There was a bright light and she spun around to see Lelouch with large breast smiling at her. It shone brightly and when asked "how?" he said he borrowed them from Madame President.
I woke in my dream sort of and wished it to be Friday.
      Then I really woke up.

6:17- A young boy met me outside of school at the fence around the water tower. He talked to me. He had tan skin and dark hair. He talked to me, but Anastasia and Adrianna didn't want him to. So they took to some house. He talked to me tho through a video game, with a screen like PacMan or something. It was pretty big and couldn't move very much, but somehow Anastasia and Adrianna didn't see. The house was wooden with red velvet in some places.*

My family and I went on a camping trip. We were hiking when we reached a strange path littered with supplies. It was like a stone wall in a valley and we walked on the top of it. We spun around to see two people, who Dad didn't like very much. They didn't look nice. Anyway, at some point more of our family (altho I can't recall seeing any of them before) arrived at the house (similar to the house before). A son and daughter of the visiting family and the family of the house wanted to get married. The father didn't like this so he tried to talk to the other parents, but they were all for it.*

It switches to a scene of the same house but a different room. Louis Griffin was trying to calm Stewie but he only grew angry. He turned into a colorful dragon/serpent with many heads. One head went down Louis's throught. She begged him not too, but more soon followed. They ripped her apart from the inside out. Brian went up to the dragon, only to be picked up by it. It walked away after that and the scene changed.

At a place that looked sort of like the same house, yet more like a bass pro shop checkout, Dad was buying something. Anastasia didn't get anything but I watched a women put the powder sugar on a funnel cake. I bought a donut because seeing that made me hungry. And again the scene switched.

Aang was meditating at the airbender contraption. Toph was scolding him for lack of action, but Aang merely breathed and sent the contraption spinning, cleanly cutting him off from Toph.Sokka was just there, maybe stuck in the ground.*They went to Jet for some reason. They were on a ledge above a section of ground lower than the rest, but only by seven or eight feet. Jet had to rescue some of his team from sections that wouldn't move. They were trapped. He rescued a kid- Duke maybe?- from a green tube. He didn't try to rescue Long-shot and Smellerbee because for some reason they couldn't be trusted. The sections could fly, but I didn't see this, only knew. And then I woke up.
    3. 2nd Shared Dreaming Experiment - Lmrhone's dream - Riding Your Own Ikran

by , 03-24-2012 at 06:06 PM (International Oneironaut Shared Dreaming Journal)
I accidently made this the 77th SD attempt

I was at the beach with a group of people. We were all kind of standing around, then someone decided we all go to the pier. After we were on the pier, a giant Navi erupted from under the pier and we all began to fight and attack the Navi. (My dream recall hasn't been at its best, i'm always to lazy to actually write in my dream journal when I wake up)

    5. 2nd Shared Dream Experiment - Windhover's Dream - Riding Ikran

by , 03-24-2012 at 12:36 PM (International Oneironaut Shared Dreaming Journal)
I remembered so many dreams after I woke up, but now that I'm in front of computer I only remember two. >.>

dream 1 - I was a hawk myself. I was staring into a golden eagle's eye in front of me - It had yellow eye, I imagined its eye in green color to get the feeling of 'awareness' (semi-LD?). The golden eagle and another hawk flew away, and I flew with them together too, across the pink sky. And then I was on the tree branch, staring people down the street. Somebody commented on my appearance.

dream 2 - I did WILD but I was lucid in low level. I was riding Ikran with Atras and Katsuno, and maybe juroara. Don't remember any detail Atras said something to guide us...

dream 3 - I was on DV and got a pm from someone that I should mass pm active members again, with pictures and vid clips. I replied, 'umm...okay' and then I got 2 pms from Shockwave, and Oceanboy. And then I was looking at twitter page, my fav rock band posted a picture of famous Korean comedian I know together with them. They said he was funny as hell.

    6. The DV quiz, right, Mancon?

      by , 09-24-2011 at 10:13 AM
A few nights ago I dreamed about Dreamviews.

I was sitting with my computer, and logged on DV. I saw, that Mancon and someone else had wrote to me. It was a kind of a quiz or a game or something like that. I thought it was weird.

The only reason, that I can remember Mancon, is because if his avatar and his green name.

    7. Waterbending and Task of the Month (just barely)

      Non-dream
      Dream
      Semi-Lucid
      Lucid

I am in my room, getting ready to go somewhere or do something, I don't know exactly what. For no apparent reason, I think "what if this is a dream?" but decide everything feels far to realistic (As a side note, my dreams are rarely so realistic that I can wonder if it is a dream, and decide that it isn't. 99% of the time, as soon as the thought crosses my mind, I become lucid. Although in this case, the fact that my room was perfectly tidy should have been enough of a clue...) I decide that now is a good time to do a reality check anyway (because I'm still trying to make reality checks enough of a habit that I do them in automatically when dreaming). I look at the doll with two long braids that sits on top of my dresser, close my eyes for a second, and open them again.

What the hell? The hair is in a different position. That can't be right, I must not have been paying attention.

Just to test and prove to myself that I am awake, I step into a more open part of the room and jump while thinking about flying, fully expecting gravity to follow normal rules.

But instead, I float up and hover near the ceiling ("Holy crap...")

Okay, I guess I am dreaming.

I remember reading a post about making dream time "longer" than the amount of time I'm actually asleep, and decide to try it.
(Unfortunately, despite being lucid, I am still not particular logical, and this was something I was not planning on trying until after I'd gained fairly good dream control, which I don't currently have) I first decide to simply demand that the dream lasts for an hour, but I know right away that it hasn't worked, and the dream starts to fade. I stabilize it as much as I can, but it is still "dark" around the edges. I remember a different technique where you "travel" to another dream realm where time is different, and say "I want to go to the realm where one waking minute equals one dream hour."

Nothing happens, and I'm not sure if I said it right, or if I had even said it out loud at all, so try again. This time, a portal of some sort appears in the wall beside me, and I go through it. As I do this, I hear a rather sinister voice say "Getting a little advanced, are we?"

I fall backwards through blackness for a few seconds, just like the person who posted the technique had described, and find myself back in my room.

Hoping that it worked, I remember my goal of learning to "waterbend," and fly through the wall, trying to visualize the beach at my cottage on the other side. But, as I go through the wall, the dream fades, and I wake up.

I resist the temptation to move, and stay perfectly still once I realize I have woken up, and continue to visualize the beach, as well as imagining that Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender is there to teach me.

I am suddenly in the dream, with Katara (and sometimes Aang) there. She talks to me a little bit as I try to do waterbending, but I don't remember what she was saying. I'm doing pretty good with the waterbending, getting it to move around the way I want it to.

Suddenly, for some reason, she becomes evil, and there are people in boats swarming the beach attacking me. And I start attacking back, experimenting with different ways to move the water around, and freezing it to throw little ice darts at some of the attackers. I realize that I can just leave, or ignore the attackers (because they aren't actually doing anything to hurt me) but decide that this is actually kind of fun, and keep at it. For some reason, things start flipping between "cartoon 2D" and "3D," which kind of weirds me out, but then I think "Hey, that's kind of cool," and start doing it on purpose.

At this point the dream is starting to fade again, and I suddenly remember "Crap, I was going to try the task of the month. I NEED AN INSTRUMENT!"

Some sort of cross between a flute and a clarinet appears in my hand, and I start playing it while everything continues to fade. For whatever reason, without me choosing to do so, I/the instrument play(s) the classic "snake charming" Arabian music.

I wake up, and once again try to slip back into a dream right away, but it doesn't work.

    8. Vague lucid dream

by , 04-02-2011 at 03:26 AM (Awesomeness's quest for lucidity)
Real life Dream Lucid Nightmare Dream sign

Recently my web host (who I am good friends with the founder) got attacks from a client of Limestone Networks (the company didn't do it, one of their customers did) and when I talked to him about it over chat I started seeing Limestone Networks ads all over the place due to Google adWords user targeting. Kind of ironic, but oh well.

I think that's what inspired this dream.

      Limestone Networks dream
Only one I remembered for the night. Bad recall. My family was staying at a HUGE fancy hotel! It was all made of marble.

Here's a description: From the front entrance with multiple glass doors you enter a humongous right-left symmetrical marble room. 4 stories high or so. The second floor is in the back half of the room while the third and fourth are elsewhere, only visible because of little balconies sticking out into the main room. There were a bunch marble benches on either side on the first and second floor. There's two sets of stairs about 50 feet ahead of you maybe 15 feet wide each, at 30˚ angles. They go one story high, to the second floor in the back. These stairs are separated by a balcony in the middle that extends from the upper base of the stairs horizontally to the lower base. Here's a horrendous, literally 30-second example of what I mean: (click to enlarge)
      Religion-kscn0002.jpg
I can draw better. Much better. But it's getting late and I don't want to spend too much time on this...

Anyway, the building was cool. My family was staying on the left side of the building in a room on the 3rd floor which had a balcony sticking out to the big room. It was a very nice hotel! At some point I
became very, very, very faintly lucid. I realized I was dreaming, kind of, and that I could do what I wanted.

I walked downstairs and saw Limestone Networks was having a meeting. A man was speaking to about 40 men and women. They looked distressed. I had to walk around a few people as I went down the stairs. I knew their business wasn't my business but, out of curiosity I wanted to hear what was going on so I slowed down my pace. Apparently Limestone Networks was having severe financial problems. Several people were crying... They were going to go bankrupt. I felt really bad for them. It seemed like Linmestone Networks employees were a tightly knit group of friends...
I wondered how they could afford so many ads yet they were going bankrupt, but I brushed the thought away. I kept walking and went through a door.

I saw my friend Ryan and decided to use my lucid powers to have an Avatar race with him. We changed into Avatars and climbed up floating mossy rocks. The best Avatar music with the chorus singing was playing somehow. It was really awesome! Eventually the Avatar world faded back to normal life.
We were outside. It was dark and raining. The dream was becoming increasingly negative. I could see less and less. Ryan vanished. I was alone in the mud. I saw these slimy monster things with huge mouths. I was worried, but not scared. It was becoming harder and harder to go on. I tripped and fell. I could sense monsters coming for me but I couldn't see anything! I thrashed around hoping it would drive them away but it woke me up.

I was still moving so I jumped out of bed. I was startled a little but not scared at all. It was about 4AM. I went back to sleep shortly after, which doesn't usually happen after nightmares. Somehow I wasn't very scared in that nightmare.

Glad to have a dream, especially a lucid one, even slightly, after all this time!
    9. Abandoned In The Tropics + Will Smith's House + Fragment

by , 03-21-2011 at 02:55 PM (The book of mars)
      Abandoned In the Tropics

I am on a stage with all of my friends and people I know. We are putting on some performance. I do whatever I can to not be seen by the stage, but everyone is looking at me anyways. I walk around big tanks of water. Eventually everyone is running off stage and I am the last to join them.

The stage exit led to a very small tropical island with everyone already on it.

The boat comes that will take us to shore. I don’t see it at first, and by the time I get to the little beach, everyone is on it except me and two guys named “Want” and “Need”. Everyone is laughing at us. They didn’t want us to come back.

I’m angry but not that I’m stuck; I’m angry that I they left me, that they didn’t like me to this extent and were willing to perhaps kill me. The entire journey from here on is me trying to get back to them.

A few hours later a boat comes by. He’s tugging along three or four jet skis. We holler at him and he says we can’t have them. We ask more and he finally gives us a red one, but it has no gas.

We all get on it and the waves are moving in the direction of the nearest island. We land on it and get off. On this island, there’s a small wooden deck and then a store. Behind a counter are several racks with beautiful handmade island clothing. No one seems to be around so I take whatever I like.

The owners come out and explain we can have whatever we want, they never get customers anyways. I’m relieved that they didn’t punish me for stealing.

Scene change. Want, Need and I are employed by someone as gold diggers. We are in cave sitting barely on top of the water. The ground beneath us is watery sand. To get the gold, all we do is find little gold pieces already shaped into coins and pick them up.

Aang, Katara and Toph from Avatar: Last Airbender come into the cave. They want to rescue us, because our employer doesn’t plan on coming back with his boat to get us this time. They have us search for a different kind of coin, one with a little black design on it. These are worth money somewhere else, where we will all be going. Momo, a winged lemur from the show, is here, too and in the corner he is making a little trail of gold coins.

“Is that what you think helping is?” Katara says.

We get a handful of normal coins and just three of the black design coins before we have to go. The ship we are getting on is mostly a big metal grate area with wooden walking areas on the side of it. To get on, we are kind of projected into the air. Toph starts yelling about a 10 piece gold coin in the grate but there is a sliding metal door to the boat that will make it unavailable if we don’t get it now.

When we land, they all run toward the 10 piece coin. I saw a little bit of it when I was in the air. They don’t get it in time. I see that the grate has pieces of things and coins all over it. Katara tells us to hurry and get all the coins we can out of the grate. Unfortunately, when I landed onto the boat, I landed on the wooden area on the sides.

The captain of the boat and their employer says he doesn’t take regular gold coins anymore: only the black design coins. All of my work collecting coins today was wasted, and I have only three coins to give him. He is unimpressed.

Scene change. I am on dry land in a kind of mini-mall area. Someone warns us not to spend the black design coins because they are worth more when certain people buy things with them. I have three still, so I must not have given them up to that captain. I walk into a store. In the mudroom area between outside and inside, Wolf (a girl I know in waking life) is laying on the ground. Her girlfriend Rae is with me. She gives a black design coin to her and we enter the store.

I look at everything and notice that if we bought anything, it would be extremely cheap with these coins compared to using the gold coins. We don’t buy anything.

Scene change. I am projected from some place in the store into a long hallway. At the end there is a room kind of. It has an eerie feel, like the show Invader Zim. It just feels off. Heather is here and making a toy car go on a track that’s running on the floor to the wall to the ceiling to the wall back to the floor. She says the wallpaper recharges the car so it can go forever.

      Will Smith's House

I’m walking and I meet Will Smith’s daughter Emily Browning (obviously not related in waking life). She brings me to her house which is surprisingly right up the street from mine.

Inside, I sit down with her, her brother Liam Aiken (related in my dream because of their brother-sister roles in A Series of Unfortunate Events movie) and her little sister Willow Smith (actually his real daughter). His house is really disgusting and even my dream-self was surprised by this. All of the rooms are huge but filled with junk. The kitchen where we’re sitting in is really tiny and there are dirty dishes stacked everywhere.

We are all playing some kind of card game. I’m across from Will. He looks really old and totally stoned. I feel bad that he let his life go when he clearly had much more at one point.

We finish the game and he goes into his bedroom. The kids and I all go into the living room. To get there, we went through two rooms which both had giant fake white Christmas trees. In the living room I sit on their ratty couch. The place is gross in here, too. Emily sits next to me and we cuddle kind of. If I move closer to her, I can feel the thumps of Will having sex with his wife downstairs, so I can’t cuddle her any closer.

“So, rockstar?” Willow says to me, trying to judge who I am or what I am doing with these “famous” people. She implies that I’m probably trying to be someone famous but I’m not. Emily explains that I’m not a rockstar or anyone famous, and that I don’t particularly want to be either.

I get up and look around the house and find a more fancy suitable kitchen. A few of my friends stumble out, including my brother Holden and our friend Jamie. Jamie has always been kind of a hippy, but he’s really overdoing it in my dream. He has very long hair all braided and put on top of his head. He’s wearing some kind of hat that has blond hair extensions as well. We all go out of the house together.

Holden wants to go to Redbox to get a movie and I say I think they are open past 12. It’s 2 a.m. We start walking.

On the way home we run into three really fat and buff 12 year olds. I want to beat them up, so I egg them on. The leader who has some kind of miniature padlock in her septum comes up to me and starts trying to kick me. Holden comes over and uses his elbow to hit some spot on their heads and they all just pass out automatically.

“You have to learn the Child Beatdown in those situations,” he says, and explains the move to me.

      Fragment

I am in some room. I have a cup full of hot chocolate powder and I begin pouring different flavored water into it from tiny tea pots in a circle around me. I spill some and Beth comes over and helps me.

While she's doing that, Katie, an old friend of mine who recently got divorced and is now having sex with everyone, comes up to me and Holden. She says she wants to fuck him, and he jokes about it but I tell him she's serious. He says okay finally, and they plan to do it at 5 p.m. I ask if she does ladies too, and she says sure, and I just wink.

    10. Boyscouts vs. the Fire Nation + Illegal Drive + Climbing The Tower + Fragment

by , 03-03-2011 at 04:10 PM (The book of mars)
      Boyscouts vs. the Fire Nation

Holden my brother, Tyler and I are hanging around downtown. We’re on this outside deck looking over the parking lot in the center of all the shops. I look over at a part of the brick buildings to my right that’s made of wood all the way from bottom to top. It’s made of strips of wood intersecting like X’s, like a foundation of a porch on some houses. Between the X’s I can see an old decaying sign.

At the same moment, Tyler seems to spot it: “Look, remember Weatherfields?!”

“Fuck yeah, I loved that place,” I say. It was an old restaurant that everyone went to as children (such a place doesn’t actually exist). Holden says he never went there, but I assure him he did.

In front of us, a few people get out of a little car. It’s a family it seems.

“Let’s go, there’s Kirstie Alley,” Holden says and starts walking out of the deck, into the parking lot and away from the family. It wasn’t only a fat joke, but the mom of the family also looked like Kirstie Alley, the actress. She was huge and was wearing a pink dress down to her ankles. Her flubby arms swung and instead of walking, she seemed to just tip in the direction she wished to go and flowed with inertia.

Holden, Tyler and I went to Goodwill, which was across the parking lot. Inside, I ran into the toys section which my dream-self never really does (Goodwill doesn’t have a toys section, and the whole place was more of a real store like a small WalMart). Tyler followed me and we began talking about wanting it to be summer out so we can play with water guns.

A couple started quarreling in the aisle so we left and went up front. There, we looked inside one of those claw machines. There was a really interesting looking umbrella. At first, I didn’t even know it was an umbrella. It had spikes in bands all around it, intricately engraved motifs from the handle to the top of it, where they followed the paths of metal in the shading part.

Jack, you can have that blue one,” Tyler says. She points to a similar umbrella although colored light blue, making it kind of ugly. Where did Jack even come from? He has an ugly little face of anger when she makes this jab, and then he disappears.

Tyler and I touch a lot of soft stuffed animals in a big metal bin. I am particularly attracted to a white elephant and can’t stop touching it. Eventually, Holden asks us to leave because he’s bored of Goodwill, so we do.

The scene becomes us walking around Winslow, our neighboring town. Holden is a boyscouts parade soon, and Tyler and I are just following him around. Tyler’s smoking but doesn’t want her cigarettes anymore for whatever reason and asks if I’d like them. I think for a second and say sure. One is unlit and one is lit. I put the unlit one in my pocket and look at the lit one: where the flame should be, there is a hologram of a tiny flag that dissolves if you wave it back and forth. I take a drag and nothing really happens, no smoke, nothing.

We are walking up this big hill and I see my friend Autumn. She’s wearing a boyscout uniform just like the guys. It’s funny for me because she’s pretty big and walking up this big hill and doing dude-things with scouts, which is not of character for her. Not on the dream-plane, though!

“Autumn, why are you even a boyscout anymore?” I ask. She shrugs her shoulders and we talk about something (but I rarely remember dialogue in my dreams at all).

We get to the top of the hill. Tyler, Holden, and my old friend Cholage are at the top and want to slide down.

“What the fuck, you’ll probably die!” I say and make notice of the four-way intersection at the bottom (all of this is accurate in waking life). They all shrug their shoulders and start sliding down anyway. They just jump and their feet slide on the pavement, moving it as if it was very slippery and malleable mud. I don’t want to look like a coward so I start sliding too.

I’m half-way down and everyone else is at the bottom so I decide to call it quits. I can’t stop easily so I ram myself into a building on the side of the hill and then slide over and join Holden, Tyler and Cholage. They are on this floating house with a floating front yard, all of it on top of a small inlet. I’m really afraid of it sinking because I don’t want to get wet. Holden laughs at me because of how afraid I am, and I laugh too.

I look over and Tyler and Cholage are nearly naked making out with eachother. Holden is laughing and they both have smiles on their faces. I have an intuitive thought that they are doing this to make me jealous (though I’m not really attracted to either of them). I don’t want to seem jealous. But! I fall while the floating yard bobs in the water and my face lands right near their nude bodies. Whoops.

Holden and I start walking with the boyscouts as their parade starts. There’s a ton of boyscouts on the sidelines, but no actual onlookers. I think of how embarrassing this is, but no one minds. While Holden walks in the parade, I ask him about Avatar.
“We should watch Avatar sometime, I love that show. I’m re-watching all the episodes,” I say. He kind of nods, uninterested. “Have you seen the movie?”

“No. It’s not Miyamoto’s best.” (Why did my mind choose Miyamoto as the director??)

“Yeah I haven’t seen it either, I think they cast Aang wrong. He looks so serious,” I say. Holden agrees and we talk about it for awhile. I make a face, impersonating the actor.

Suddenly, the Fire Nation is attacking the parade! (I love how the mind works ) Everyone is running all over the place. Most of the boyscouts are Air Benders, like me. I get separated and am by myself, almost surrounded by opponents. Luckily, most of them are engaged with other battles and don’t notice me. One, in front of me, however, sends a giant flame dragon head at me. Its jaw is chomping as it comes closer. I close my eyes and focus my energy on the most powerful air attack I could do right now. I cross my arms, and when I uncross them, I send a wave of forceful air in its direction. The dragon head splits into smaller flaming heads that dissolve as someone pulls a big blanket of salt water over everyone. It’s sticky.

Around me, big booming voices are telling their followers to say a certain word that will bring them to safety. I see one of the voices re-embodied. It’s a God, a leafy Earth God that is putting all his devotees into a vortex as they say the correct word.
My friend Gabe says it, and I look at him strangely. He was always an atheist! I say the word, too, hoping for salvation, and I black out.

I wake up in a recovery area. Everyone is sitting on leafy clouds. My surroundings are dim. Holden is here, but Tyler isn’t. Heather’s friend Brittany is in front of me. For some reason, she pulls me really close to her and is making very affectionate moves! I apologize when our faces stick together because of how salty I am. She doesn’t mind, and starts kissing me. I wake up.

      Illegal Drive

In the middle of the night, Tyler texted me and asked if I had any money for weed. I said no and went back to sleep.
In my dream, I am in the school, but under it, in this really cool art workshop that no one knows about. I get a text from Tyler and she asks if I have any money for McDonalds. I decide that I will take my car and get her some, even though I don’t have my license.

My car is underground where I am at the school, so I just go get it and drive off. I drive fine until I get to McDonalds, where I forget to stop at the window. I’m embarrassed so I just decide to drive home. I find that I’m going 80 down a hill and can’t stop. Eventually I hit the breaks. I turn into this little section of the parking lot in downtown. I try to keep going on this “road” but I find the only ways to go are up some…stairs? Shit, I am driving in a pedestrian park. I back out and go home.

False Awakening: I wake up and don’t know if it was all a dream or not. I tell my mom, hesitantly, that my car may or may not be here, and I may or may not have driven it last night. She laughs and says it was just a dream. Okay good!

      Climbing The Tower

There is a big tower. A bunch of kids are climbing it, it’s some game. It turns into a tunnel halfway up and then disappears, turning over and extending some other way. I try to climb it but, like a lot of the kids, I fall. It’s a difficult game-like structure. I see how some of the more “advanced” kids are climbing it and mimic them.

I “get” how to climb it now, so I’m doing it all really easily. I pass most of the kids who I learned from. The newest part that I see is a green rope at the top of the tower that you hold on to as you fall off the side of it, into a swampy area. The tower was clearly just the beginning of a really cool journey.

I don’t grab onto the rope, I just kind of let my fingers glide over it as I jump into the swamp. A lot of kids “die” (and re-enter at the entrance to the whole tower) here. I walk around the tower in the swamp and come to weird area with a bunch of circular steps with newspaper over them. I hop along them, passing this area, and find myself in another swamp land.

There’s another tower which a few kids are trying to climb. I use my climbing skills and pass them as well. The top of the tower is a cool club house! There’s a few other “winners” inside, and we talk about the tower and just hang out.

Something happens, and the scene changes. I want to go to the club house again. I pass all the kids trying, and at the step area, I see why people have a lot of trouble here: the steps are made of pure ice. Because I hopped passed them, I didn’t come in contact with them enough to notice.

In the club house, there’s only a girl inside. Where’d all the cool winners go? She wants me to help her lure a Dryad from the swamp. First she suggest I set my Dryad Bow (?) into the water, but I assume she’ll take it. Instead, she puts her shiny Chaos Gloves (from Guild Wars) into the water, but nothing comes. I feel bad.

      Fragment

I’m at school in a classroom I’ve never seen. I sit out back with my friend Celina. I haven’t been to class in awhile I assume, because everyone is working on some project and have pages of notes, and I have none. I don’t really care.

Chase calls me over from the other side of the room. He explains what we’re doing: making our own cereal boxes. I’m excited. It incorporates English somehow by having us add propaganda to the box. The project seems really fun. I want to make my box funny, so on the bottom I put the Surgeon General’s Warning.

      - **** was two people, both identical and both my boyfriends, they became angry I was seeing them both and made me choose between them. So I randomly picked one because they were exactly the same...
      - While I was walking down the street with my chosen Duff I saw an Avatar character working in his garden (it was completely normal for people from Avatar to be on earth) and I said 'Hello sir.'

"A Lesson in Na'vi Pain Management"

(Tried a little dream incubation, this morning, and paid for it. I had turned on Avatar, focusing on my intention to draw myself into the movie, through DILD. Unfortunately, it worked. Quite possibly the most painful dream I have ever had in my life. I wasn't even on B6, but I did have a good liquor buzz when I went to bed. It was just as intense, though.)

I was Jake from Avatar, standing high in one of the mighty, cloud-scraping trees of Pandora. The war with Quaritch was soon coming, and the rest of the Na'vi were off somewhere, preparing for battle. I was being trained by a man who identified himself as an old arch-enemy of mine. He looked human, but this dude was huge; bigger than I was, even at Na'vi size. (He kind of looked like this picture of Heihachi Mishima, but thicker, with longer limbs, and completely bald.) According to this guy, I wasn't ready to face Colonel Quaritch. I was still "just Jake," and - as this guy would tell it - was not accustomed to my Na'vi form enough to maximize potential. So, he was about to teach me about how to manage my pain. Apparently, as I had somehow already known, this powerful man was planet-renown for his skills, and my best move would be to listen to everything he said. I braced myself, knowing I was going to be in for a tough trial.

Suddenly, I was rocked in the stomach, with a fist that would have caused a human being to explode on contact. Another one followed, with yet another close behind. Before I knew it, I was on my knees, in agony, my ribs feeling like they were being beaten in with a baseball bat. He didn't stop, though, screaming at me to get up, before slamming me with another body shot. This man was definitely not human. His strength was something out of a video game, and I could swear I was able to sense the shock waves jetting off of each punch to my midsection.
I honestly don't know of many times I've ever felt pain like this - if any. The blows rained in on me...almost rhythmically. He was in no rush. Just punching away, at his leisure. Completely unprepared for this, I tried desperately to drag myself away from him; helpless.

I didn't know if he was supposed to be teaching me or was actually trying to kill me. That was until he began to explain how I had the potential to block all of the pain out of my mind, and maintain focus and endurance for battle. He said that it was something that all warriors were able to do, and that I would be able to tap into the Na'vi's ability to do it at an accelerated rate. He wasn't exactly nice about it, though... Each punch would drive itself into my gut, and I would yell out in pain, this man's only response being to yell back at me for not taking it like a warrior.

...I definitely didn't feel like a warrior, at the time...

More punches came, and I was now in too much collective pain to fight back, even if I wanted to. Still, I dragged myself along the gargantuan branch beneath us, which easily supported our bodies, without wavering. He was all over me, though, and just would not fucking let up. He jumped from one side of me to the other, anytime I would start trying to scramble away a little more quickly. Each punch was now starting to bring me closer to tears, already having me openly screaming out with each torturous thud - and he could see it. He picked me up to my feet, my body practically limp, and glared at me sternly. Holding me up with one hand and barking at me to stop crying, he slammed more punches into me with his free hand, and each one was no less devastating than the last. I was being brutally beaten, and it was more than I could bear.

The gnarled look of torment in my face was slowly turning into a snarl of determination. I knew I couldn't just sit there and let him beat me to a meat-sack of pulverized bone. My eyes locked on his, and my fists tightened, every muscle in my body soon following suit. Immediately, he picked up on this and sneered, growling "WHAT?! ARE YOU ANGRY?! HUH??" through his teeth. His eyes were on fire with the a display of malice that just couldn't have been false. This was becoming a life or death situation. I felt my legs strengthen beneath me, beginning to stand up straight, slowly, but almost involuntarily. The pain was sequentially residing as the fist continued to pound away. I was getting stronger with each blow, able to sense that each punch would still have left a crater upon the trunk of the enormous tree we were in, yet I was becoming increasingly unable to feel them.

After a few more seconds of the onslaught, I was standing up tall, glaring at him with a scowl. Finally, he stopped punching, glaring back at me, still looking at me like a mortal enemy, but no doubt gauging my stoicism, after such a merciless attack. From what I could tell, he had decided that I must have been successful in my ascension. My torso still burned from all angles, but my entire muscular structure felt tightened and invigorated. The pain was still there, and it was damn intense....but I just didn't care. He told me that I was now ready for battle...

My recollection of the dream skipped ahead, and I was then running and jumping through the towering trees with a female Na'vi. She swung across a gap between branches, on a vine, and I did the same, right behind her. The two of us landed on another branch, this one just barely big enough for us to fit upon. When we landed, I took a sweeping glance down toward the ground - hundreds of yards below us - and I felt my stomach turn. It was the first time that I realized just how high up we really were. I found myself thinking "what the hell am I doing way up here?" and I think this could have eventually led to lucidity. However, all chance of that soon disappeared, when our attention got drawn to the sight of the Colonel's aerial gunships flying in over the landscape, toward our village. What might have been our last run through the trees was now over, and it was time to go to war.

(I woke up here, and the movie was actually just getting to the final battle, practically in sync with the content of my dream, leading me to believe that some of the audio might have been seeping into my dream content, when I was beginning to awaken. I was hungover, and it seemed to take some time for the pain in my stomach to fade. Instead, it seemed to go to my head , which was throbbing. Even some time after all of this, sitting at the computer, I had to hug my stomach, just because it seemed like the faintest - probably just mentally projected - trace of that horrible pain still lingered.

Not the best sleep I've ever had...)

    13. I Am the Avatar

      October 19, 2005

I dreamed that I was the new Avatar (The Last Airbender). I was showing off to all of my friends that I could levitate on a ball of air. The technique to it was to jump up in the air and cross your legs and the ball of air would support me. I floated around the rocky ground. Then one of my DCs said they could do it too. He tried but failed epically because all he did was sit there. Then I said, "Watch me," and I crossed my legs and floated around even more having a blast, while kicking up some nearby stones with the wind I floated on. I then stopped and remembered that I could control all four elements, so I tried fire. It shot out of my hands in a red flame. I tried to propel myself upward but it didn't work very well.
    14. August 26th Dream #1

I dreamed I could turn into a stone ghost kind of thing. So I sneaked into a castle to save a princess. I had two people traveling with me. A boy and a girl. The girl was a kung-fu master and the guy was a grapple hook user. So we rescued the princess and she turned evil. The girl I was travelling with trained her soldiers advanced martial arts. All of a sudden the castle sunk into a sinkhole, and water poured into the castle. Then I awoke.

Wow...I really don't know why that WILD didn't work. Everything was set up right, I woke up to the alarm and did a WBTB that felt like exactly the right amount of time, and then I went through the WILD just as I had when it succeeded last...only this time, rather than envelope me and pull me into the dream, all the HI and sensations and all that just faded away all of a sudden. I tried just shifting positions and then going back through the process, but that still didn't work. After an hour or so of trying I just decided to get some sleep and not worry about the dream...but it was really strange that it didn't work that time, seeing as everything was in place.

However, I do recall one normal dream from last night, and in the spirit of maintaining good recall, I'll write it here.

My brother-in-law and I were assigned to run the projectors in a theater for the re-release of Avatar. Not all was normal, though...the projectors were two trucks, and we were using computers, not film, as the source media, not to mention we were stationed close up to the screen, off to the left, rather than from the very back in our own little projector room.

About half-way through the movie, both computers froze up. We couldn't get them to do anything. My brother-in-law went to look for help from someone in the theater building, and I went to look for help by driving around outside. This actually was the majority of the dream; me just driving around, looking for help, when the traffic was absolutely insane. No one followed the road rules, and when there was construction on the road, sometimes the road would be closed and I'd offroad to go around it, only to look back and see that the road had been opened the whole time! It was the most frustrating drive ever...eventually I had to give up and head back, only I couldn't find a freaking parking spot! Someone had taken mine while I was out...and of course for the re-release of Avatar, the lot was full anyway. I ended up taking down a 'No Parking: Fire Lane' sign and parking there ()

On my way back inside, I ran into several people that I know. I don't remember what all they asked me about--just random things about real life--but I tried to answer fast and get back inside.

I got back in to discover that the computers still weren't fixed, and no one was able to help us fix it. The audience was starting to get angry, so we went at the computers ourselves this time...by opening up the hoods of the trucks and messing around with the engines.

I don't remember ever actually getting the darned things fixed, but oh well. I won't have to run any more theater projectors any time soon
