I was running down a back alley. I needed to find somewhere good to hide. I heard a man shout, "Freeze!" I immediately dove head first through a nearby window. The process of diving through made me lucid (one of my usual lucid activities). I scrambled to my feet and waiting just beside the window/against the wall. The cop placed one leg through and I immediately grabbed it and slammed it down onto the leftover shards of broken glass. The glass was still sticking up in the frame and hadn't been completely busted out. The officers leg sliced like butter and separated from his body. I smacked him across the face with it and knocked the rest of him back out of the window. I then took off running through the house. There were random DCs sitting on the couch as I ran by. I busted out of the front door and began running through house after house. One had a hot Latina chick in the shower. I did the comedy movie-esque stop and stare for a moment. I then took off and exited out onto the street. I lost lucidity somewhere around here.

I ran down toward a forest but as I approached the edge, another cop sprung from behind a tree and tackled me. I proceeded to fight him as well. I took his combat knife from him and stabbed him. By that time, I was surrounded by pointed guns. Having no way out, I surrendered. They cuffed me and took me to a prison. I vaguely remember getting my mugshot taken and then I was in the shower room. The showers were individual stalls (like in a normal bathroom). One arm was handcuffed to a bar that hung above the stall. The officer/guard waited on the outside. I kept trying to think of a way to escape, but I couldn't think of anything. I knew I had possibly killed two cops, but at the very least had two attempted murder counts, along with a plethora of other offenses. I was looking at life. I attempted to shower, but it was crazy difficult to maneuver with one arm handcuffed above. I heard a quiet "ping" sound. I looked down and saw an ink pen had been dropped by the guard. I quickly snatched it with my toes and passed it on to my hands. I immediately bent the metal clasp (on the pen) into a lock-picking shape. I then used it to free the handcuffs. I kicked open the door to the stall, knocking the officer down. I then grabbed the back of his head and slammed it against the nearby sink, knocking him out. I regained lucidity at this time.

Now wearing police gear, I walked around the prison acting like I knew everyone. I went looking for the high security area of the prison. I found a steel door cell with a small slide door for food delivery. I slid it open and whistled for the prisoner over. He was a beastly russian dude (I'll call him Dimitri, even though he was nameless). I told him that I would let him out if he helped me fight through the hordes of guards/officers. I told him to step away from the door and I kicked it clean off the hinges. We took off down the hall and jumped a couple guards (who were toting M4's). We stole their guns, shot them, and then heard the sirens going off. We shot our way through three guards who met us at a corridor. I lost lucidity during this gunfight. I saw a ladder that led to a high ceiling. I began climbing and told Dimitri to follow. I reached the top and Dimitri was about halfway when a group of guards came in and shot him off the ladder. I opened the small door on the ceiling and entered the attic. There was a window, so I shot it out and jumped through, landing on a separate section of the roof. I then jumped down off the roof and tossed aside the gun (its clip was empty).

The prison was in the middle of a small community/town. The ground was covered in snow and I dove head first into a slide and slid all the way down a hill (unrealistically mind you) to the bottom area of the town. Once I reached the bottom, I looked back and saw a group of policeman following. I entered the nearby building. I knew who was hiding out in the building. As I climbed the first set of stairs, I called out..."Yo its me, Zack! KingYoshi!" Mike (my friend) walked around the corner holding a shotgun. He said, "You just about got your head blown off!" I quickly told him I had broke out and there were police coming now. We ran upstairs and into the top of the building was a condo. There tons of weapons laying out. Brandon was also there. I grabbed a shotgun, an AK-47, some ninja stars, and a katana. Moments later the cops burst through the door and we started an intense gun fight. It reminded me of the one in the movie "Takers." I awoke during this time (before I got to use my ninja sword ).

"You're leaving? How the hell are you planning to get out of the city?"

      "By bus."

"That route's run by the gangs. Do you know what they could do to you?"

"I'd kill them if they tried."

"You'd try to kill them, you mean."

      "Well, yes."

An image forms in my mind. The bus I'm on, forced to the side of the road. The leader grabs me by the arm, hauls me to my feet. Keeping center of balance low, I take a quick step past him. Use his grip against him, grab, throw, dislocate his shoulder. Follow through to the next man, punch to the solar plexus. Disarm the knife, strike to the throat.

Unrealistic? Depends on reaction time of second man. Don't underestimate.

"Fine," she says, with the look of a person with too many stubborn people in her life. "I'm coming with you."

I was at a tropical location, with old mayan ruins and vines growing over everywhere. The ground was gray and the sky was blue with a sun and a few skies. At first it was some competition of being there. I was there with others, but then they ran away. I was trying to get a portal working which had worked one time before in some way.
I walked further into the ruins, to find the dark-haired girl I always dream about(probably my dream guide). She was behind me and handed me tin box of artifacts(depicted). It was for every boss controlling the competition. Like she killed them or something. The last of them was on a green firetruck and he seemed friendly, but I pulled a gun on him because I knew he was hostile, and was going to keep me and my dream guide(the girl) in the ruins forever. I was about to shoot him when the girl told me we could get out another way. I realized that myself, and put the gun down. We ran to another part of the ruins and I woke up.

Here's a few sketches of the dream, like the scenery and the portal and artifacts

      Jan 24

I am walking alone across a desert landscape. The terrain is completely flat and barren... comprised of dust. It's a little windy, but this doesn't bother me so much, because though it's windy the dust isn't blowing at all. I know that I have a destination in mind but I don't know exactly what it is until I reach it. In the middle of the dreamscape, surrounded by nothing, a large white museum stands.

I make my way inside the massive building and see that there are other people there. We weren't all necessarily there to see or meet each other, we just had the same goal or destination. I am surrounded by small groups of individuals who are excited to see me. We talk briefly and I move between groups, or rather, the groups move around me, and I react to them.

Our conversations revolve mostly around dreams, and this reinforcement lets me know that I am dreaming. However, I don't have a moment to enjoy it, because the INSTANT I become lucid... I hear a loud droning bomb siren. An alarm flared and from deep within the museum I could hear planes overhead. All of us inside ran out into the desert to see a plane fly low above us and fire something from one of its turrets. It trailed green and lands on the roof of the museum. It flashes like a green strobe light and within moments another plane flies over and dumps another tracking device on the opposite end of the roof. I can tell that they are triangulating our position and that our cover has been blown. In the ensuing stress I forget my lucidity. Everybody escapes and runs in different directions, back into the desert, away from the compromised museum headquarters.

    7. 01/25/10 Assassin's Creed - The Lone Assassin

by , 01-26-2011 at 01:02 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: My recall has been inconsistent to say the best, as night before last was yet another night of CRS… which really sucks. So my only goal for tonight is to remember dreams, although if I happen to have a dream of DDO, and if I happen to meet up with Tigress in a dream of DDO… or if I happen to meet up with MoSh or Nomad or anyone else I will sometimes share dreams with… or if I meet up with someone new… that is awesome, too!

I am in a place I don't recognize, but it seems completely normal for me to be there at the time. I am an Assassin like those from Assassin's Creed, and I already know who the target is that I am after. There is a specific terrorist leader that needs to be taken out as quickly and silently as possible. He has been located in this city, so trying to take him out with conventional means would no doubt involve killing too many civilians, so Assassins such as myself have been sent in. I have to meet with the others before heading off to track targets. In addition to the primary target, there are also numerous secondary targets… terrorists that are roaming amongst the civilians, so the more of them we can take out, the safer the city will be. I go into a building and down into some underground halls to meet up with my associates, who I find out aren't all Assassins. They are dressed differently, but I realize it is so we can all blend in with the crowds and not have it look like a group of people in uniforms. There are a couple of men there, both are redheads there those two have freckles… and shortly after I get there, a third man shows up. My first thought is that he is kind of cute. I walk over closer to him and smile, but I realize he probably doesn't see my smile because of my Assassin's hood. Then I think about the fact if he did see my face, he might actually be offended by my showing interest in him. So I admire the view from afar.

I figure we are all there to make a plan for how we're going to complete our mission to take out the head terrorist as well as taking out as many of the others as possible. Everyone is talking, but they aren't talking about terrorists at all, actually, I can't really figure out what they're talking about. I go over to the group, I am standing beside one of the redheads and looking over at the cute guy. Someone else comes along before I can get a good idea of what everyone is talking about, he looks at the group of us and asks if the redhead and I are… the redhead interrupts with a definitive, "No!" and he seems to be blushing quite brightly. What was he going to suggest… does he somehow know that we are all Assassins? That's not good… Those thoughts go through my mind in an instant, so I also respond with a definitive, "No!" at the same time as the redhead does. The new visitor points at the redhead and laughs at the fact he is blushing. It still seems that no one is talking about the task at hand, which is to take out the terrorist lead. I finally give up on that, I know where he is going to be exposed most, so I decide I had better do it on my own if I want it to get done at all.

I tell them all that I have to get things done, and then I head off down the hall, heading for the open areas of the city. I find that I have some of the tools of an Assassin's Creed Assassin… I have a crossbow with bolts, and I have my hidden blade… though I don't see my sword. I climb up at some key locations so I can get to the rooftops and not be noticed, then I make my way along the rooftops until I get to a lookout point that is overlooking an outdoor auditorium type area where there are quite a few people gathered around the stage, on which there is a single podium. I duck down behind a wall as someone who looks like a guard goes by, I figure they are there to protect the guy who is actually a terrorist. When the guard is gone I return to my place and I see there is now a man standing behind the podium, he looks like a politician, and he talks like one, too. He is the terrorist, he is infiltrating the rest of the government here, and has definite plans that have to be stopped. So I take aim with my crossbow, load a bolt in, and fire… my shot is perfect, it hits the man right in the chest, right through his heart, for an instant kill. Of course everyone freaks out at that, guards are trying to find where I am, but panicking civilians are getting in their way, all running for cover, all afraid that they may also be targets. Of course I have no interest in shooting any civilians, so I use the chaos to get off of the building and blend in with the fleeing masses.

I am going down a street and I see there are a bunch of guards up ahead, they are positioning themselves to try to keep me from passing. I wonder if they have seen me or if they are just hoping to spot me, but either way I decide to avoid them. I head into a hospital off to my right and I head through some of the back halls. Patients aren't supposed to be in there, but I don't think anyone sees me go in there. I soon realize I am very wrong. Guards are following me still, so I don't want to be found. I have the feeling most of the guards are ok, most of them aren't associated with the terrorists, so I don't want to kill them for doing their jobs. There are a few corrupt ones, which I know I will be able to identify if I see them, I duck into a room to the left and wait for them to pass by me. One passes by… an innocent man… a couple more go by… After the group passes by I sneak out of the room and back the way I came from towards the front of the hospital. I don't go out the front door, however, I head to the side door, which is a service entrance, and I exit into the alley way.

I know now that I don't have much farther to go before I get to a safe place, so I head in that direction. I find myself surrounded by four guards as I round a corner… and all of them are corrupt. One of them asks another if he thinks I know anything, the third man says it doesn't matter whether I do or not. The fourth guard, a woman, says they have their orders, then she adds, speaking to me, that there won't be any going to prison and telling everyone what I know… I will die right here. I have my hidden blade… for some reason they don't seem to realize that, so when they get close enough for me to do so, I knife one with my hidden blade. That takes a the others by surprise, did they actually think I was unarmed? So I maneuver my way around and knife a second man before finding myself suddenly behind the woman, so I take her out, too. (I think I teleported there, but that fact didn't register in the dream.) There is one man left, and it looks like he is thinking about bugging out, probably to get more guards… he does just that, and he takes a crossbow bolt in the back. Those four corrupt guards are gone…

So now I continue down the alley. Someone else is following me, so I duck around a corner. I am prepared to strike with my hidden blade, but I stop myself at the last minute. The guard isn't corrupt. I now have my hidden blade right at his neck, and he is staring at me with wide and fearful eyes, not even daring to make a move for his weapon. He just says, "Please don't…" and I don't actually want to kill him, so instead I hit him upside the head and knock him unconscious. I check to be sure he's ok, he's fine, his pulse is strong, and then I keep going towards the safe spot. I arrive there just a bit too late, it looks like everyone has already left. I am yelling after them to wait for me, I think they were on some kind of a ship going out to sea, but they don't come back. One woman is on the back of the ship, and she yells something at me, I'm not sure what she said, but I think it was something to the point of, "You're an Assassin… find your own way out!" and then she laughs. I do find my own way out, and that way is by waking up.

Note: When I told MoSh about this, it looks like the meeting I was at might have been between Ron, Fred, MoSh, and myself, and of course they weren't talking about assassinations. My lack of lucidity made me not notice who they were. That makes Fred and Ron the redheads, and MoSh was the cute one.
    8. 01/23/11 Shattered Memories

by , 01-24-2011 at 12:20 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: The rest of the dreams from this night are only fragments, and none of them are lucid, but I will post them here because I think one or more of them might have been shared. If you read this and recognize yourself in here, please let me know, otherwise it might have just been a DC that I mistook for you in my non-lucidity.

      Area 51
I am in an underground room, there is no way to see that it is underground, but somehow I know it is. It's just a feeling I get like I am far under the surface of the Earth. I go over to the door and find it's not locked, so I walk right out into the hallway. I have the feeling I'm not really supposed to be there, so I try to avoid meeting anyone as I look through the halls. I hear someone coming and I duck into a small room that turns out to be a storage closet of some kind. The problem is they are coming into the closet… I lock the door from the inside, the door locks manually in there, and then I climb up the shelves and through a panel on the ceiling. I get out of sight just before the door unlocks and a man enters, muttering expletives about the door not needing to be locked with all the security on the entire floor. What security, I wonder, I haven't seen any security… I crawl through the vent system for a while, looking down into the different rooms as I pass. I see a computer room filled with computer operators, a lab with scientists messing around with chemicals, an office with a meeting going on, a room with a couple of soldiers aiming a gun at MoSh… wait a minute… aiming guns at MoSh? They want to shoot MoSh? Not on my watch! I go over to the ceiling area right over the soldiers, and I climb onto the panels that I know won't hold my weight… and CRASH! I fall through the floor and land right on top of the soldiers. One is knocked unconscious, the other is starting to get up when I kick him in the head and knock him unconscious. MoSh pulls a kitten with wires on its head from his shirt somewhere. He says he rescued the cat from having experiments done on it, but doesn't know how to get the wires out… I take the kitten and look at it, the wires don't seem to be causing discomfort to the cat, but then I wake up.

      Area 51: The DDO Version
I am in what seems to be the same complex I was in during the last dream, walking down the same corridors, still avoiding people because I feel I should not be there. Just like in that dream, I enter a closet and climb into the air vent system. I am exploring that, though the rooms I see below are different than before. There are no computers, though there is a room full of kobolds doing something with crystals. There is another room where kobolds are fighting against each other to train. This is really strange… in the next room there are a couple of hobgoblins guarding a large treasure chest. I hear more activity to my right, so I turn down that vent shaft to see what is going on, and I see there is a large chamber filled with hobgoblins and one person fighting them. I see that person and recognize him… he's Tigress' character from our DDO games! What was his name? Nexiel! That's an awful lot of hobgoblins for one person to fight, though, so I look around for something to be used as a weapon. There is a display of swords on a wall, so I drop down over there and grab a sword. I enter the battle with Nexiel, who seems to know me, leading me to believe if it might actually be Tigress. I don't really have much time to consider that with the fighting going on, cutting, slicing, stabbing… the hobgoblins are gone soon, and Nexiel hands out healing potions. It tastes like fruit punch. We go to the next room, make quick work of the two hobgoblins guarding the chest, but before we get to open the chest I wake up.

      The Mist
I am inside an office building yet again, but this time I can tell it isn't underground because there is a window looking outside. It seems I am on about the second floor, but I can't tell for sure because the fog outside is as thick as pea soup, I can't see more than inches from the window. I go to the hall and make my way downstairs where there is a group of people near the front door. I ask what is going on, a man says we are all going to die in here, a woman says we are doomed, there is no escape, and a little girl starts crying. The girl's mother gets mad at the man and woman talking doom, saying they need to shut up and stop scaring the children. I ask again what the problem is. A man tells me to look outside and ask that again, so I do. I look into the fog and ask what the problem is. Sure, it wouldn't be safe to drive in that, but it will burn off in time. Everyone looks at me as if I am crazy, a woman says if I want to go out there and die, be her guest… she isn't going anywhere near that door. Another woman says this is the wrath of God being visited upon sinners everywhere. I just look at them for a bit… going into the fog means death? The wages for sin is fog? I ask if it is toxic or something, an old man says it isn't toxic, but… I ask them what it would take to get them out. A man says there is a big RV out there, if someone could get to the RV, they could all escape. I ask where. He says it is about 600 feet straight out from the door… but that's the length of two football fields! No one would ever make it! Cut that out, wuss… keys, please. The woman who first told me to go ahead and go is now saying she didn't mean it, she doesn't want to see anyone else die. I tell her it's fog, it's not toxic. I'll get the RV. The man finally hands me the keys.

So I head for the door and out it… then I realize I can't see the RV. I ask if anyone has a flashlight, shine it into the fog so I can use that to keep my bearings and not wander off in some abstract direction. A man has a large flashlight from an emergency box and does that. I head out into the fog. Making sure to keep the flashlight beacon behind me, I walk in a straight line towards where he said the RV should be. The fog is actually a bit creepy, it looks like Silent Hill, but I find that rather cool instead of scary. Things are moving out there, thicker areas of fog? It looks like creatures… cool effect… I wish I had something to video tape or photograph with. Something big lands on my shoulder, it is the size of an eagle, but it is not an eagle… it is a cricket! Wtf? It starts chirping in my ear… a deafening sound… I push the cricket off, saying to do that again on the other side, I can still hear a bit over there… The cricket continues to chirp. I continue walking in a straight line and I find there is something right in front of me… it's a spider… a HUGE one…

like Aragog from Harry Potter! It is looming over me menacingly, without thinking I tell him to cool it and go try to scare someone else. The spider obediently goes away. I find the RV and get in, driving it back towards the beacon light. I honk a couple of times and then drive right through the glass doors. Everyone is boarding the RV through the back doors, I get up from the seat and say that was easy… then I wake.
    9. Prisoner

by , 01-23-2011 at 12:53 AM (Insights from Id)
I am locked in a large room with a dozen or so other people. One wall of the room opens to water with a network of docks to walk on, but escape by swimming is not an option. The water near the docks is electrified. Somehow, I know this is some twisted version of a reality TV show. We have to complete challenges. The losers are executed. The winners are set free. At least, that is what we were told.
I watch with boredom as two people complete some task out on the docks, one young woman and one middle-aged man. It is unclear what they must do. When they are finished, a short woman with long jet black hair comes in the room and summons the two people. They stand directly in front of her, shaking with fear. Inwardly, I roll my eyes. I am humoring my captors, but I am not human and can escape any time I wish. I stay because I want to watch what happens. She asks the two who covered the most area. The young lady claims that she did, and the man looks at her with outrage. The short, black-haired woman brings up a screen on the wall and replays the actions of both the competitors. The young woman has lied; the man has won. The young woman begins to tremble and cry, knowing she is going to meet her death. If only she know that they were both going to die either way...
I am called upon to complete a challenge, but before it starts, I leap several yards across the water and land outside of the electrified area. I regret not being able to finish the show, but I will not be competing against any pitiful humans today, nor will I suffer their sad attempts to execute me.
    10. Resident Evil Meets Vampires

      by , 01-21-2011 at 10:41 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1/21/11

Wow. I remembered about 90% of this movie-like dream upon awakening, but I quickly lost about 80% more before I even had the chance to think about it.

      1- The Second End

      Our Future

We have suffered an apocalypse under the vampires. After a long and epic struggle, Alice, Claire, and I have managed to kill off a good majority of them. Unfortunately, they've also managed to kill off most of our convoy and nearly all of my fellow werewolves.

We think the hard part is over, that we can begin to rebuild. But Fate strikes us down as Claire begins to speak a prophecy that has suddenly been delivered to her. "The future of humanity depends upon the T where blood flows." ((Oh. Ohhhhh! I just realized that it was talking about Alice! Duh!))

"What the hell does that mean?" I ask, somewhat worried.

"I don't know. But it doesn't sound good."

She also receives a scrambled word: n-g-e-i-t-a

"Eating," Alice says, before I even process it. Wow, she's quick.

"We're not out of the clear yet, apparently. Don't let your guards down," I say. As if they ever would.

      The Ship
Something is definitely not right aboard this ship. The crew seem nice, but I sense something off about them. My suspicions are confirmed just as I am searching for Alice and Claire to warn them of the danger I feel sure that we're in. One of our convoy members is sedated and dragged into a secret room as I watch from the shadows. I put my ear to the door and listen while crew discusses chopping her up and preparing her as tonight's meal. "Eating," I whisper to myself with realization and horror. This ship--- it's a trap. And we fell right into it.

My haste to find Alice and Claire has grown exponentially, but they are walking with several crew members (Umbrella operatives, I now realize) when I come across them. One of the men leads Alice, Claire, Carlos, an unknown woman from our convoy, and myself into a small room and locks us in. "Great," I mutter. "I was just coming to warn you, but I guess I was too late."

Suddenly a chute opens up in one of the walls, and two vampires frozen with sedatives fall into the room. The chute closes, leaving us trapped, weaponless, with the monsters.

The female vamp animates almost immediately, killing the helpless woman and sinking her teeth deep into my arm before I can stop her. The virus quickly works it's way into my system, and....

...I switch to Alice's point of view. I can only watch as my werewolf friend kills off the she-vamp before succumbing to the virus herself. F*cking Umbrella Corp, I think with fury, After all we've done to get rid of the virus, and now they're SPREADING it? There is no time for such thoughts, however. My once-comrade is now coming at me with a hungry look in her eyes, her werewolf genes making the effect of the virus that much more powerful.

I am taken aback by how quickly she moves, by how quickly her sharp teeth sink into my flesh. No... How did it come to this?

I kick her off me, watching as my hands become the clawed hands of the very monster I lived to destroy. But wait. I still have my thoughts... All hope might not be lost.

I look up to see Claire and Carlos backed up against the wall as the newly turned vampire stalks up to them. No. I can't bear for them to die, too. With a feral snarl, I slam my monstrous hand into Hazel's head, and am somewhat surprised when it flies off her shoulders and lands on the floor with a sickening squelch. This power... it's too much.

At that moment, the dark-skinned male vamp snaps to life beside me. "Don't be alarmed," he says hastily, sensing that he is about to share the same fate as my now headless comrade. "You're going to need my help." That accent... I realize immediately that this must be one of the living Vampires from legend, a race of immortals unrelated to our hellish virus.

He tells me that Umbrella has had him frozen for quite some time, so I give him a quick debriefing of current events. "We had the werewolves fighting for us," I say, drawing my story to a close, "but they're all dead now." I look down at Hazel's body with remorse. What a cruel fate...

      The Shooting
      *3rd Person*

Four Umbrella operatives are standing on deck, peering into the small room from their vantage point at the top level. "Okay, boys," one of them, their commander, begins in a decisive tone, "it's been long enough. Open fire."

The three gunmen begin shooting, each unloading their entire supply of bullets into the small room in what, for any other group of people, would seem like overkill. "There's no way they could have survived that," one of the young men says proudly.

Little do they know that below deck, crawling through the leaking pipes steadily toward them, a Vampire and his newfound companions are-----

"MEOW! MEEEOOOW" My cat lets me know, LOUDLY, how displeased she is at being locked out of my room. GAH! I want to find out what happened!
    11. Critters on a Train!

      by , 01-18-2011 at 11:51 PM (Dreamjumper)
It is interesting to note that while James is the dreamer of this, I was the main character of it in a featured role/guest appearance. I will periodically post similar dreams in which I didn't dream, but appeared in. These will have a disclaimer and be tagged under "featured role/guest appearance"

Before the Dream: It is my birthday night and I spend it with my girlfriend and four other of my friends. There are six of us total. We spend part of the night on a pub crawl, as we visit as many bars in town as possible. The final count was 7, I believe. We take a taxicab back to my apartment and a pajama slumber party commences. Everybody passes out. My girlfriend Sarah and I in our bed, anoter couple, Mannie and Maggie, in the spare bed, our single male and female friends Randi and James sleep on the couch and floor, respectively. James, the friend sleeping on the floor, had the following dream:

      Critters on a Train!

I am with 5 of my friends. My girlfriend Sarah, My best friend Mannie and his girlfriend Maggie, and our single male and female friends James and Randi. The feeling is ominous and tense as we stand on a platform at a station and board the back of a train. The train speeds off and within moments everything goes to hell.

A strange power flux affects the lights and power on the train. In the flickering of the shadows we can see that things were moving and we are not causing it. We can't tell what they are yet but they are the eponymous Critters from the 1986 film.

Things return somewhat to normal when the lights do. The Critters escape undetected and leave to feed on the passengers of the train in order to replicate and make more of themselves. A strange and enigmatic dream figure is helping us in the form of "the expert." We never meet this figure in person and only communicate to it through earbuds. What is interesting is that the "expert" feels like it was one of them, possibly a critter from a rebellion that didn't agree with what they were trying to do to our planet. the expert gives us the back story and tells us what we must accomplish.

We must stop the critters before the train reaches its destination: a densely populate metropolitan city. If the critters reach the city it will mark the beginning of the end of the world; invasion. Everybody is nervous but me. I lead the group and head off to investigate the ruckus. We manage to find and confront a cornered critter. The critter shoots one of its classic paralyzing quills directly into my girlfriend's throat. Sarah spurts blood all over the place and stumbles back. The critters swarm Sarah and feed on her flesh. She is the first to be killed.

In the room Sarah is killed, we discover a hidden critter ship, evidence of their invasion. We continue on, five of us now. Searching for the critters. They hide well, behind boxes, just out of view... yet we can hear them moving around on top of the train cars, and this gives us some sort of advantage in following them. Randi, our single female friend is panicking now that Sarah is dead and wants nothing to do with saving the world. Her only concern is in surviving. Thought the train is speeding toward a city, Randi has a bright idea and postulates that if we escaped into the last car of the train and separated it from the train, we could coast to safety. But I cannot deter from my goal, though I would love to keep my life, I cannot let the critters survive and make it to humanity or all will be lost and Sarah died for nothing.

James, however, believes in her plan and the two of them go to the end of the train. They are chased by more critters, who have exponentially reproduced. Randi and James make it into the last car but have trouble separating it due to the attacking critters. James manages to separate the car from the train, but is overtaken by a swarm of critters, sacrificing himself to ensure Rand's safety. With the car detached, it coasts away from the train to safety. Randi is the only other survivor of this tale.

It's strange to note that even though James, the dreamer, is killed by the critters... the dream continues on without him (as he takes an impersonal and omniscient observational roll, watching the rest of the dream play out)

Maggie has died "off-screen" which leaves my best friend Mannie and I, together alone, in James' dream. At this point everybody else on the train is either dead or dying, and there are countless critters. Mannie and I fight for quite a while together, I don't know how we manage to survive. Our plan is to get to the control room at the front, make the train go as fast as possible and switch it to a track that dead ends.

Mannie is killed in an ensuing battle, and the realization that everybody I know is dead (except for Randi) sends me into a stupor and rage. It's almost as if I absorbed Mannie's power when he died, because I become freakishly empowered and strong. I use the golf club I picked up along the way and go on a killing rampage toward the front of the train, more determined than ever. I reach the control center in the nose of the train and crank everything to where it needs to be. I switch tracks as the train surpasses full speed and I use the decapitated head of a critter as weight for the dead man's switch. I smash all of the other controls so the critters can't stop the train.

As the train nears its dead end crash, I am losing energy but remain confident in my actions. I fight as many of them as I can and dive off the train just before it was crashes. The train explodes, as each car goes up in flames. I see a few critters on fire in their rolling ball form on the ground and I smash them with what remains of my golf club. I am the only other survivor. The critters are dead. The city is safe.
    12. 01/16/10 Acid Trip Testing Lab

by , 01-17-2011 at 01:08 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Plans: I have been feeling pretty shitty today, it has been going on all day. There have been a couple times when I perked up a bit, but not much, so I don't know what effect this could have on my dreaming. Plans include meeting Dakotahnok to confirm a shared dream at the Halo 3 Warthog Run mission, completing tasks of the year, meeting MoSh for a Harry Potter dream, and to meet up with Tigress to kill stuff… probably monsters from DDO.

I am in a strange room, it looks like a doctor's office, though I'm not sure what I am there for. Or rather I don't want to think about what I am there for, because I am there for my gynecological exam, which is something I really dread, since it usually hurts. I am here because my guardian, Hetfield, bullied me into it, and now I am silently cursing at him for my being there even though he continues to say I have done the right thing. So I sit there for a while longer, now I am annoyed at the doctor for taking her time in getting to me, the last thing I want to do is sit there waiting for something I dread. Finally the doctor comes into the room and greets me with a smile on her face, I don't feel like returning the smile. She pulls out a syringe and says she will have to give me a little shot… a shot? I thought she was here to look at my nether regions, not give me a shot… I ask her what it is, she says it's nothing harmful, she just wants to give me the shot, then I can tell her what I feel. I don't like this, and I don't understand it, either. She comes over to me and gives me the shot, and I immediately wish I had protested more… because now I am feeling dizzy. I tell her that, and I see she is taking notes on a tablet computer. Things look strange for a bit, then my vision clears, and I feel ok again. I tell her that, and she sits down in a chair and said she will wait.

I wonder what she is waiting for… then I notice the wall is moving??? There is a huge bubble forming in the wall, not just one of them, there are several of them. It looks like the wall is rapidly developing a bad case of acne, though the "pimples" aren't red, they are rainbow colored, concentric rings of color starting at the center of each "zit" and then fading into the white of the wall at the base of the zit. They keep growing until they have a yellow head on each one that looks tightly strained and ready to pop… and then they all pop at once. I cringe back, expecting a wave of grossness in the form of pus, but that doesn't come. Instead, each "zit" spews forth waves of colorful confetti, colorful and sparkling. So now I am sitting in a doctor's office in the middle of a colorful and sparkling confetti storm… what kind of a hospital is this? I am about to do a RC when the doctor distracts me and asks what I see, so I tell her. She says that is good, the shot was a hallucinogen, so the effects would wear off shortly. She said if things get creepy, just remember, it is a hallucination. Now that I have an explanation for this, I forget about doing a RC. (D'Oh!) Also due to this, I just watch with mild interest as all of the pieces of confetti turn into bugs that crawl all over me, though the itching is rather annoying. I see my reflection in a mirror, and now my entire body is covered with colorful and sparkling confetti… rather interesting, actually.

Soon the confetti illusions fade out and I am in the normal doctor's office again, though I feel slightly dizzy again now that the hallucination is over. The doctor comes back into the room, with two large men. She says they're nurses, but they look more like hired goons. She takes out another syringe, but I have had it with the shots. I tell her no more shots for me, I'm leaving here. She said she thought I might say something like that… and the goons block the door. She comes over to give me the shot, but I knock her hand away, knocking the syringe out of her hand and onto the table. A drop leaks out and eats its way into the counter, leaving a small smoking hole. I ask her what the fuck that was, some kind of acid? She says she needs to see what it would do to the inside of my body. I point at the smoking hole on the counter and ask what she thinks it will do… it burns through the counter, so she can draw some pretty good conclusions about what it would do inside my body! I get up now, determined to leave this crazy place. She reaches for the syringe, I push it onto the floor. She leans over to get it, and I kick her in the face hard, knocking her across the room, I think she was unconscious.

Time to get out of here… I pick up the syringe and hold it threateningly, telling the goons to stand aside unless one of them wants to get stuck with it. One of them dares me to try it. So I move towards the two goons, I twist aside when the one on the right grabs at me, and I come up behind him and stick the needle of the syringe in his neck. There is a small amount of burning there, but not much, and the thug tenses as if expecting me to inject the contents into him. Instead I just keep my thumb on the plunger, and tell them no one has to die here, just get out of my way so I can leave. The one I am threatening sounds terrified, he tells the other one in a quivering voice to do what I say… he calls me an 'it' when he speaks. The second goon seems hesitant to comply, then the one I am threatening gives out the most pathetic "Please…" I have ever heard, only made more pathetic considering it is coming from a big guy who is about to cry. The second thug finally moves aside, I move with the thug I am threatening to the door, then I pull the needle out and shove the door closed. I really wish I could lock it… but no such luck.

I head down the hall quickly, and of course I haven't gotten far before the thugs come to the door and shout that the creature is loose. Creature? Why is he calling me a creature? Never mind that, I have to get out of the hospital. I run down a hall and I hear footsteps behind me. I look back to see more of the hired goon style nurses following after me, so I turn into an examination room and shut the door. This time I am able to block it, I wedge a chair under the knob, which will at least slow them down a bit. So now to find another way out of there, I go to the window and look out, but I am on at least the third or fourth floor, so that isn't promising. I search, but I find no other exit, so I end up back at the window again. Someone is pounding hard on the door. The chair gives way and a large goon enters, though it looks like he is alone. I figure they didn't see which room I went in. I try to get the window open to climb out, but the goon grabs me by the neck. He says he has a test… let's see how long the thing can go without oxygen, and if it doesn't need to breathe, let's see how it responds to a broken neck. He squeezes my neck hard, I stick the syringe needle in his arm. He ignores that and squeezes harder. No choice, I inject the contents of the syringe into his arm. He gets a strange look on his face, releases me immediately, and grabs his arm… which is rapidly being eaten away by the acid. He is screaming in pain now, I don't feel like watching that, so I run out the open door and away from the hall while the goons are searching other rooms. They will surly come soon to the man's screams.

I use the stairs and reach the bottom floor before I meet any more opposition. I am heading down the hallway towards the emergency exit, almost there, when a uniformed guard steps in front of me and aims his gun at me, ordering me to stop. He knows that guns will still hurt me, so don't try anything. I am not lucid, so I believe guns will hurt me. He asks if I'm going to come peacefully or does he have to shoot me in the kneecaps to ensure cooperation. I back away from him, now feigning a fear that for some reason I don't actually feel, I crouch down in the corner, pretending to be crying, I tell him he can't let those doctors take me back, they're trying to kill me. He comes over to me, he looks pretty proud of himself, he says their goal isn't to kill me, it's to run their tests on me. He says if it kills me, that's no big loss… no one will mourn the loss of one of my kind. Since I am cowering, he is being careless. He reaches for the neck of my shirt and tries to lift me by it, saying it's time to go back to the doctor. I grab him by his family jewels and give a hard and fast twist and pull to them. He gets a shocked look on his face, then doubles over in pain. I grab the gun and point it at his head, but then I see he is no more of a threat right now than a small kitten… actually the kitten with its claws would be more of a threat.

I grab the keys from the guard just in case I need them, then I run out the emergency exit onto the hospital grounds, out into the night. There are no locked doors or gates, but there is a fence topped with razor wire. I don't even think of electric fencing… when I grab it, the fence sparks… but I am not hurt. Must be a weak voltage? I climb the fence, slip through the razor wire while getting only minimal cuts, then I drop on the other side. The guard I kicked, or one just like him, is right behind me and jumps for the fence. He is instantly caught by the electrical flow, the smell of cooking flesh wafts over to me, then he drops dead. So much for not much voltage… No time to consider that for long, I head away from the facility into the forest beyond, intent on putting as much distance between me and the hospital as possible.
    13. In Which I Turn Confusion into Lucidity

      by , 01-13-2011 at 05:46 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1/13/11

      1- Failed Planning
I have gone to take the SAT, and for some strange reason Mitchell, my friend's ex-obsessionboyfriend, is with me. He is supposed to be taking the test, too, and my mother is going to pay the fee for him. However, his name does not seem to be on the list. "Can't you just print him off an answer document?" My mom asks the lady.

"Did you even sign up for this, or were you just planning to take it on a whim?" I ask Mitchell in annoyance.

I try to explain to my mother that he didn't sign up and that no, they CAN'T just print off an answer document because the College Board deals with that and they would need all of his information. She refuses to listen to me and keeps arguing. I glare at Mitchell, who still does not appear to know what's going on.

Later, he has somehow angered a mob of crazed tourists. I learn that there is some sort of zombie virus outbreak, and that he has tricked the tourists into giving them these tickets that are used to gain passage into a zombie free zone. I snatch the tickets away from him after I chase off the mob. "Why did you take all these in the first place?"

"I needed them for autographs!" Oh my god, what an idiot, I think in disgust.

"Autographs? What the hell are you talking about?" I notice that all of the tickets have the initials RL scrawled on the back of them.

((Also, it seemed like Samael was involved in the whole ordeal, but I can't remember how.))

      2- Street Punks
I am riding the school bus, and for some reason my dad is sharing the seat with me and this other girl. She asks my dad why he's coming to school with me. I suddenly wonder the same. What in the world is he doing on the bus? Without learning the answer, we arrive at school and I wander down the hallway. What class am I supposed to go to...? Something is wrong with my memory. I end up at my AP United States History class. "Oh yeah, I have APUSH first period," I remind myself.

But where is all my stuff? Is it in my locker? I go to my locker and find that someone else's stuff is there. "Did we have a locker change again?" I ask a nearby student.

"Yeah, it's really annoying when they do that. Should have waited 'till the next semester."

I remember that my alternate locker number is on my schedule... which is in my locker. Great. ((BTW, there is no such thing as a locker change or an alternate locker number. Yet another false memory.))

I go to the office and find a bunch of band students playing jingle bells very unenthusiastically to a tall, official looking lady. They finish as I enter the room, and she claps happily. I hesitantly approach the lady. "Um, I don't know if you're the right person to ask for this... What is my new locker number?"

"You're number 18," she says cheerily, without even looking at a list. "I placed you myself. See, we try to position everyone based on their abilities."

"Okay... 18. Thanks." How does she know who I am? What abilities? I mull the question over and walk out the wrong door. I get it right on my second try. "Great," I say to myself, embarrassed, "I definitely have 'special' abilities, alright."

At that point I "wake up" in my car, pouring sweat. Ugh it's so hot in here... I look around and note that I'm in the student parking lot. Weird... I don't think we even have school today. Was I sleep driving? I'd better call my mom and let her know where....

My thoughts trail off as I RC and become lucid. All worries assuaged, I observe my surroundings. It is sunny, and though the parking lot is empty, there are people walking everywhere. I happily get out of the car and decide to go on a walk. No telling what might develop along the way.

It isn't long before I come upon a gang of boys who are playing with a yoyo. The youngest (who is about 10) accidentally slams it on the ground and breaks it. "Oh no," he moans. "If Carlos finds out about this, he'll kill all of us." I notice what is in my hand at the same time they do. One of those rubber yoyo's with the flashing lights inside of it. Well, then...

I break into a run, and they all jump on motorcycles and come after me. I'm fast, but they're faster. I make it to a bridge several miles from my house before they catch up with me. Well, I gave them a chance. They chose not to take it.

With an evil grin, I leap into the air just before the bikes would have run me over. They skid to a halt and glare up at me, unfazed by my unnatural performance. I am suddenly hurdling through the air directly at the largest gang member. My foot slams into his chest with enough force to knock him off the bridge to his death. NOW they look appropriately frightened. I make short work of the others. Now only the youngest is left. I do not intend to kill him at first, but then he holds one of his dead comrades in front of him as a shield. This angers me. "Stupid street punk!" I yell as I beat the life out of him.

      3- Playing with Energy
I am listening in to the Elders' meeting without their knowledge.

"What? The youngest son of the Uria clan has run off?"

"He is a disgrace to his family."

      "What of the eldest?"

"Her position in this matter is unknown. When asked about it, she merely said, 'These things happen.'"

I roll my eyes and place the headphones back on the table. Stupid old bags. Is it really so difficult to understand why my brother ran off?

My uncle walks in the room, and I look as innocent and meek as possible as he goes into his usual speech of upholding the family values, blah blah blah, and I'd better not end up like my "wretch of a brother."

At this point, I RC and become lucid, exiting the role of this Uria character.

I go to the back door and walk outside, thinking about the Queen (yet again) and wondering if I should try to contact her. I am still contemplating this when I look up and notice Sadie sitting nearby with two other cats. One of them seems to be massaging the other's shoulders. At first they look similar to cats I'd previously owned, but then they change slightly and I no longer recognize them.

The one who had been getting the massage runs over to me and bites my hand affectionately. I pet her and ask her what her name is. No answer. "Come on, you can tell me." She still doesn't answer. I look at her black and white companion. "Hey, cat. I know that's not your name, so speak and tell me what it is." No answer. "Sadie?" Sadie turns up her tail and ignores me. "Hmph. Fine, be that way." I ask the cat that I'm petting one more time what her name is, and I hear my stepdad's voice behind me say "Betty."

      "Betty?"

      "Yeah, that's her name."

He and my brother walk up and start horseplaying. I notice that whenever my brother goes to throw a punch, I can see his energy fly from his hand and hit Chris before the physical impact. "That's interesting," I say. Chris takes some of Steven's energy in his hand and forms it into a ball, then throws it at me. "Ow!" That really hurt. He throws another one, but this time I catch it and examine it closely. I let my own energy flow into it; the ball goes from being clear to swirling with black and purple energy. "Interesting," I say again. I throw the ball at Chris. At first it sticks to my hand and absorbs back into me, but I make a new ball of my own and throw it. I have terrible aim; it lands several feet away and creates a mini explosion.

I notice it's getting dark out, which is a good indication that the dream is getting unstable.
I wake up before I can do anything about it.

      4- Canoeing
I am watching from above as PJ and a few other people are canoeing in a beautiful wide river surrounded by an evergreen forest. The dream tells me that this is in Detroit, Michigan or maybe Delaware, I can't remember which. I know it started with a D.
    14. Bong Shame

      by , 01-09-2011 at 10:40 AM (Dreamjumper)

I jumped around from scene to scene, quite erratically. There seemed to be no explicit connection between locations, but I had felt that I was running important errands, like I was gathering necessary items, or accomplishing simple and seemingly mundane tasks. Although the tasks themselves looked mundane, I felt a deeper importance behind them. For a while I jumped between errands, none of them really stuck out in my mind. That was until I stood at the counter at some type of retail warehouse, and payed for some items as I spoke forgotten words to the female cashier. As I placed my items into my backpack, I noticed that my short red bong sat on the counter top a few feet away from the cash machine. I'm pretty sure the cashier noticed as I quickly rushed to hide the bong from sight, and placed it into the backpack before leaving the store. I felt worried that I could somehow be arrested or in trouble, just for having a bong in plain view.
    15. Corporate Lobby Escape

      by , 01-08-2011 at 01:57 AM (Dreamjumper)
Let's All Go to the Lobby!

I found myself in a large lobby of what could be a business building in a large city. The lobby was expansive and tiles and had massively tall ceilings, even though there were many, many floors in the building. I spent some time walking the halls and various floors, as if I were searching for something.

At some point, parts of the corporate building began to merge into something of a convenience mart, but a palatial one. Finally I came to a front desk type of area and felt that this was what I needed to see, and I had in the back of my head that someone told me I needed to pick up a piece of 'legal' paper, something that looked like a receipt.

However, the woman at the desk, or receptionist was VERY curt with me and yelled at me, telling me something along the lines of "instead of being courteous, why don't you try doing the right thing?" or something.

I became upset because I was doing what I felt I was supposed to do, by filling out this yellow card. I got very angry, maybe it was the 'customer is always right' mentality, but I was furious. I walked around some more trying to find what I was supposed to do, until I came back to the front desk, and another person 'helped' me, by telling me that I needed to fill out a this specific yellow receipt paper pad... the same one I was just denied.

At this point I said 'fuck it' and had made quite a scene. I started yelling about the incompetence of these people and how they just like to yank people around, and I went over to a section that had nothing but these yellow pads, or papers and I furiously ripped them up.

As I did so, I realized that I just might make a couple people unhappy, so I turned and made my way to the door so I could exit, but I was on the second floor and I couldn't find a good way down. there were 3 escalators, but they all came up to me from the floor below, or went up from me into the floor above...but with a little searching I was able to find the escalator that went downstairs, and I headed towards the large revolving doors, when I saw that it was stacked with security, I doubled back, and headed down a different hallway on the first floor

I could FEEL the security coming after me, and since I wasn't running I thought I'd be able to get away alright, but the security was gaining and gaining on me. It was then that I realized, "wait, I'm dreaming... I can rectify this simply."

So I stopped running and stepped into the wall, as if it weren't there. Calmly I stood and watched through the wall as the security continued down the hall, completely unaware of me.

I confidently stepped out from the wall, accomplished, and woke up.
