    1. The Subconscious Arcade

      by , 12-26-2012 at 04:59 AM
This was the first of three LDs from early Christmas morning. This was my first time directly experiencing a creative work of my subconscious. I was grateful for the few minutes that I got, but I'd have enjoyed more. Some other night!

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

Lucid #48: The Arcade of the Subconscious

I am "in" a side-scrolling video game that's drawn in the style of a pencil sketch. My avatar is a small stick-figure man who runs, jumps, and shoots his way across a grassy landscape where boulders roll and hop all around, presenting a constant danger of smashing him flat.

I dart back and forth as boulders bounce over my head when I randomly
realize that this is all a dream. The dream stays perfectly stable and I am able to continue playing further into the game. I (or my stick figure man) shoot at a boulder that's rolling toward me and find that within four shots it bursts into harmless fragments.

I continue running further along the track and all the while more and more boulders make their way onto the playfield. It's getting difficult to avoid them and I'm starting to feel pretty stressed by the difficulty. A new enemy presents itself, some sort of mole that tunnels underneath the floor where I'm walking and blasts a huge column of dirt up at me. It's a big distraction, and it's not long before a boulder strikes my player, knocking him horizontal (and presumably dead.)

The game ends immediately and cuts to a title screen.
Why can't I remember the title? I watch the title screen, hopeful that it'll let me continue playing. After a few seconds of this, the game switches to a demo mode where I am no longer in control. I'm contemplating what to do about this when the dream ends.

    2. The Dinosaur Petting Zoo

      by , 11-28-2012 at 06:05 AM
I've been reading Robert Waggoner's book so I took the opportunity last night to ask my subconscious a question. I had to ponder the reply a bit, but in the end the message made a lot of sense. Cryptic, yes, but felt very relevant.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

Lucid #34: The Dinosaur Petting Zoo

I'm walking down a suburban road on a cloudy morning. I look up at the sky, noticing the way that the sun gently illuminates the back of the clouds. Even though everything in the scene feels as real as waking life, I know this isn't any place I've ever been before.

When I shout up at the sky, my voice is loud but takes on a slightly buzzing, almost robotic quality. "Tell me something important!"

There's no response, but I hear two dream characters chattering across the street. There's an Asian lady in her early 60's, dressed in a silvery fairy costume with puffy sleeves and fairy wings. She's talking to a young girl. (Her granddaughter?) I approach the lady and decide to talk to her directly.

Me: "Will you tell me something important?"

Her: "Yes. I'd say that you're not usually afraid, but sometimes you let yourself get scared."

Me: "When should I be less scared?" I can see the scene shifting around me. The house behind her is turning into some sort of white wall, but I ignore it for now, keeping my focus on her.

Her: "You're the kind who won't try the dinosaur petting zoo."

Me: "The dinosaur petting zoo?" Now her face keeps changing. She's becoming younger, then older again, her hair lengthening and shortening while we talk.

Her: "Yes. You're the kind that will walk right up and make a donation... and then be afraid to go in yourself."

I see that we're in a bustling airport terminal now, all white walls and windows. The lady has become a young woman, and she smiles and turns away. I lose her in the crowd.

Briefly, I consider exploring this new environment but decide that I want to remember every detail of this conversation so that I can think more on it later. No more exploration, and no DEILD. Time to just
      wake up.

    3. [LSD iDoser Attempt] [Lucid Daydream]

by , 09-23-2012 at 12:54 AM (Searching For The Center of Everything)
[Wednesday, 19th, 2012] [After Midnight- before I had fallen asleep]
I turned off the lights, turned on the LSD dose from iDoser (a binaural beat that induces a drugs effects), and lied down with headphones. I folded a shirt over my eyes and I zoned out and began counting down from 847. After awhile I became more and more relaxed, letting my mind become numb... I would recount numbers and forget where I was and restart at random numbers- this is when I knew I was in a trance. I felt detatched slightly... and tried imagining something.

I imagined myself in a blank white room. Suddenly a potted plant appeared in the center. It grew and grew and grew until it became a Venus Fly Trap plant of giant proportions. It ate "me". But it was just the body, the vessel, for my consciousness- I understood this and made a new one, and walked up to the plant. "You are simply a creation of mine and you cannot hurt me. I love you because I created you." The plant did not try to hurt me again. I walked through the wall to the left with such force, it shattered reality. The scenery outside the white room was a beautiful beach scene; the sun just setting a dark red velvet and vibrant orange against a dark navy sky and ocean. I was high in the air, far above the smooth sand or the water, but I was walking on air, on invisible pulsating steps. I walked a distance and then decided to travel along the pulsating steps like monkey bars. I dropped down so that my hands could hold on to the level where my feet just were and I pulled myself along as if they WERE monkey bars. Still pulsating a clear crystal light.

At that moment I reinvented the scenery. I was in a blank room again, but this time I was seated behind a table. I invited my subconscious and/or dream guide to appear and they did. Four figures walked in through the door instantly and each took a seat on the opposite side of the table. I made note of their appearance first... on the far left was a fiery feline female with fiery-colored hair, a mix of orange, red, and yellow. Second, was a huge muscular, black-iron-armorered figure with a fiery green skull with flames licking high into the air. Third from the left was a human walking-stick. Almost simply put, a bamboo man. Just a stick of bamboo going straight up into the air. Last, on the very right- I couldn't make them out very well. It was as if they were invisible, and I could only sense their Galka like presense.

I announced the reason for this gathering first, speaking in a pronoun that was mixture of I and We: "I/We are in a state of great confusion and despair. I/We are broken and must do something. We must become one, and work together to solve the problems we face." I stopped after the sentence and asked if anyone would be willing to finish my sentence due to how cloudy my conscious mind was. The 1st aspect chimed in and tried to finish, as my conscious mind jumped into her body- I saw from her eyes and began to talk... but trailed off, most likely because I, without meaning to, took control of her. Someone else chimed in right after, it was the 4th invisible Galkan aspect... I don't remember what he said, but it was full of force and meaning... and it made perfect sense. After he finished I stressed the importance of lucid dreaming: "It would be beneficial to US to lucid dream. We could solve a great deal from it and the daily link between all of us. We need to lucid dream." I was conditioning all of us- we all knew that I was hypnotizing the whole room. I was strengthening the importance of my conscious mind being present in dreams. After this I asked: "Okay, so who are you?" I was referring to each individual aspect of me. The first, the female aspect spoke up immediately: "I'm your female side, and I'm the one who emits light! I keep you on track and keep you afloat with joy!". I believed every word she spoke. I turned my attention to the stick. It radiated the answer: "I am your intellect. Your intelligence. The one who collects wisdom and shares it with everyone here." I couldn't sense a strong color from him. The next to speak was the ghostly presense of the armored man. He spoke something like this: "I am the one who keeps you alive. I know what you need- I make the hard decisions that benefit you, that you don't want to make." I understood. He was the line that knew when he was crossed. I looked at the invisible aspects seat- but never got an answer.

"Are you my dream guide?" There was no reply.

I was thrust back out of my imagination and into reality. I could feel a slight tingling sensation all over and I felt slightly detatched from my body. Thinking about this re-inforced my attatchment and I was back in my room again, listening to the vibrations in my headphones. I lied there for awhile and until the crackling in the headphones that's ALWAYS there kind of made my neck-hairs stand and I had to sit up. I sat up slowly and looked around. I could DEFINITELY feel something. The room was dark, but I could see exceptionally well. The clock on the wall was stretching and breathing. The whole room was stretching and breathing! I put my hands up in front of my face and I can't explain how alien my movements were... I felt like I was viewing from far, far away. I looked down at my blanket and it resembled a tangled mess of brain. The light coming under the door pulsated gently a light green mixed with turqoise. The patterns on the pillow moved like vines- just like in Fear and Loathing's Casino Carpets. The wall to my right was Tiger striped; shadows dashed ever-so-carefully across the white. The entire room was a calming, breathing dark mess of storage- it was new to me, as if I had never been there before. I brought my hands up to my face again, not exactly sure what I was doing, and I drew a cross on my left palm with my right index, then drew a circle on my right palm- then I clasped my hands together gently.

The dose still going on- I got impatient and took my headphones off. I heard a noise that did NOT exist in real life. My computer was making it... it sounded as if it was some sort of alien technology... making vibrating laser beam sounds. Like a woobawoobawoobawooba, but much faster and much higher pitched. I knew it was just my brain being confused from the binaural beats, but it was still fun to listen to. I crawled across my bed and crawled into the computer's chair and turned the screen on... after a few seconds of another strange feeling, I sobered up and typed this.
    4. Kisses from a stranger, and dream recruitment.

      Black means non lucid
      Orange means semi lucid
      Red means dream character talking
      Green means notes

Notes: I would'nt say this is freaking strange but...

Dream #1 I want you now.

Im in a gas station about to buy me some chips, when i notice a woman who looks mixed with possible black and white or mixed with something else possibly. Anyway she looked about my age and she was near the pops (soda i call it pop) and was opening the freezer and looking at me blowing me kisses.
I thought it was funny the 1st few times she kept doin it, but then...well...it just got a little weird from here.

She then begin to take the pop, and pour it over her self and started crawling towards me on the floor. I just sat there looking at this deranged woman! Uh....what are you doin???
"I want you to make love to me".
(Gulp) Umm..listen lady..i gotta be hon..
      "Enough talking an KISS ME'!!!
But i don't even know you, yet alone your NAME!
"Names are just letters, now KISS ME"!!!
I start backing away from her a little freaked out now.
      Leave me ALONE!!!
I start running and run to a dark alley kneeling hiding behind a dumpster hoping she does not see me

"Peek a boo, i see you"! Muahahaha
Take me now, i want to tear off your clothes!
      I DON'T KNOW YOU LADY!!!
I get up and run but trip and fall into this puddle of water.
      "Yes, i want you NOW"!!!
She jumps on top of me and started kissing me all over my face like there was no tomorrow. Drained and out of energy, i give in to her lustful antics. And wake up.

      Final Dream Recruitment.

I am in a room teaching people about mirrors and other
dimensions. I tell them that you can navigate thru dreams much more sufficent when navigating thru mirrors. This white guy raises his hand, yes sir you have a question?
"Uh yes, how does one navigate thru another persons dream"?
Great question. Navigating thru another person's dream takes practice and mental preparation. I advise you all to write this down in your notes people.

We as the dreamers create what we see, and what we feel thru our conscious state. So by simply putting out what you want to attract, you draw it in your waking life and in turn build your subconscious to attract what you want in your dream state. Remember to train your subconscious people, now im goin to be selecting up to 3 people to help me to seach for a friend of mine. (My memory gets foggy here) And i wake up.

Notes: My recall was horrible here. I don't remember hardly anything too much. but my recall will start to increase more since i will start goin to sleep alot more earlier now.

I nod my head and get a clear look at everything around me in this warehouse, feeling like im about to wake up, i say her name over and over. Now awake in my bed, i record it into my recorder device, and try and do a Wild.

Dream #3 Swan filled parking lot.

Im walking thru a parking flooded with water and filled with swans. I reach in my pocket and pull out my totem and begin rubbing it wondering how i got here, Im aware enough to realize its a dream i fall backwards and had a false awakening.

Dream #4 Who's totem and recording device is this???

I wake up in this building filled with chairs, (i do not remember the exact amount of chairs) but they were lined up in almost like a loop. a recording device on a empty table, a glass of water, with a spinning dradle top (just like the one in the movie inception). A white pill with a note that say's in big bold black letters, DO A REALITY CHECK NOW!!! I reach in my pocket and pull out my totem, and reality check with it, fully aware of whats happening...i walk thru a door and there is a computer with random names (I forget the names on the computer) of people who are dreaming. I take the pill and drink the water then record myself talking on the recording device left on the table. I say into the recorder, ahem hi this is dreamprofesser and im in a room filled with chairs and a spinning top, whoever finds this recording device meet me at discreet location so we can share a dream. I push the stop button and fall asleep.

Final dream. How did you get here?

      5th of May, 2011

This is one of the more memorable dreams I've ever had, and is a pretty intimate one for me.

I flew into New York with Jono, Colin and Nooks. We dropped from the sky into the ocean and swam ashore- it was raining and a guy in a car sped past us on the road as we emerged.

Our hotel was a strange, small building across and in the water and you had to wade to it- the ocean was apparently only shin deep. When we arrived we walked up the stairs that lead out of the water and into our separate rooms. The guys wanted to do something but I took ages to get changed into board shorts.
When I finally changed, I asked where Jono was and Colin said that he was at work as a DJ and had been living in New York for several months. Fair enough.
We strolled into the city and came into a kind of piazza area surrounded by small stalls and bordered on all sides by large, red brick buildings. I set fire to some paper and blew up a stall. People thought it was awesome. I looked up the cobbled road where a bunch of 70’s styled women crashed their giant limo- front and back. I came across Jono and wanted him to come with us to party but he said he hadn’t been for a run yet. At that point I saw some shady looking characters lurking around and Jono put on a police hat and ran after them. I told Nooks and Colin and they freaked out. As we chased Jono more gangsters came so I ducked into a little trinket store but the gangsters followed me in and ordered everyone onto the ground.

They shot me in the head as well as everyone else.
I survived and pretended to be dead. They shot me several times more and then spoke about their plans while I was trying to be as still as possible and not breathe.
After a while they left but I continued pretending.

I kept that up for hours or days as people passed by. Even in my dream it felt like a really, really long time. Eventually some guys put me on a cart and took me into a house. Two of them went upstairs so I decided to scare the other guy by ‘coming back to life’. When the other two came down, I told them what had happened and concluded that I must be immortal.
As we talked, the gangsters ran past and the guys shut the door as quickly as they could, but that drew the baddies’ attention. They stormed in and I pretended to be dead again.
Head gangster Andy Garcia (what?) sat down and checked me. I tried and tried to hold my breath but eventually exhaled.
As I did I woke up...

      ...in the same room?

      Huh?
The guys, minus the gangsters were there and told me I was safer in this existence and “what’s awake really mean, anyway?” They said I should just make the most of my day, even if it was a dream. Okay!
I went upstairs and was back in our hotel room from before.
I remembered that I wanted to find out what music was like in dreams, so after checking myself out in the mirror, I found a toilet/glowing stereo thing. It was actually really awesome looking and totally feasible.
The sound was dodgy when I tried to get it to work and wouldn’t play clearly. After fiddling with it for ages I finally got it to play:
“Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you dooooown...”

      (o_O)

Damn you subconscious! Rickrolled by my own mind.
      Touché sir.

I went back to the mirror and decided to jump through it, which I did. I became the reflection. I jumped off the balcony and onto the back of one of those canvas covered trucks. It was a weird brick city and the brick road was watery and cracked. I checked my hands and everything was stable so I hopped off the truck, looked around, then did a flip and flew into the air. I wanted to fly to the planets, but it was like the never-ending staircase from Mario 64; every time I looked back, I hadn’t gone any higher.

Eventually I gave up and dived headfirst like a bullet into the ground, crashing through into an underground chasm. It was really pretty and glowy- fluorescing rocks and water. I walked through the shaft and came across a face on a rock made of mossy orange fungus stuff.
It spoke in a scary, profound tone.
I took it to be my true subconscious and he asked me what kind of person avoids their dreams- that I should be doing what I’ve wanted to do since I was three and was mad for not doing more acting. It gave me some deep insights and words of wisdom before I lost lucidity and woke up.

This dream was truly immense in both scale and content. It provided me with insight, joy, laughs and full-on action. It let me do some dream experiments and put me in touch with myself more than any other dream I can recall having. I woke up deeply moved and immediately wrote down as much as I could remember.

    7. Sing Dirty Nina

      by , 08-12-2011 at 02:27 AM
I enter a lucid dream and I'm flying through darkness. I am determined to have an enjoyable experience so as I fly around I begin trying verbal commands like, "sun come up" or "daylight now". But none of them work, so I starting singing. I make up a cute little song and add in phrases involving sunrises and with feeling I sing, "let the sun come up". I'm basically just using verbal phrases in song form. My subconscious likes it. Perhaps he is grateful for my creative attempt, and the fact that I am asking, instead of forcing. Forcing never works with the sub.

Now I'm flying in bright daylight over an icy ocean of arctic blue glacial waters. I change the song and start singing about warm Caribbean waters, and suddenly the glacier breaks apart and the sea froths and foams and dark debris flies everywhere. This was a scene from some horrible flood. But it was only a changeover. After a few seconds pass, the water is turquoise like the Caribbean and there are beaches formed from the glacial ice. It is so beautiful and amazing just flying through this scene and watching these transitions occur as I sing. My subconscious seems ready to give me anything I ask for. I sing for a beautiful lagoon, and immediately I watch as the sandstone is carved from a cliffside, the debris shooting straight into the air and into nonexistence. The water surges up and over the cliff, and when it recedes there is a beautiful lagoon with waterfalls flowing into it. Plants, trees, and flowers spring up around it. I just float in the air, and watch this amazing site, ready to plunge into the warm waters. But my alarm wakes me up. Snooze.

I re-enter a lucid dream, but it's different. I'm in some sort of mall, but this mall has the most beautiful interior decorating I've ever seen. Each store has displays set up that are so intricately beautiful. They use color and light to make the customer's eye dance around the store. I had barely a moment to state in awe at this scene, when...again alarm goes off...snooze.

I wanted so badly to get back to that store in the mall to take a mental picture of the gorgeous display, but instead I'm in a different place. Or a different time. It's a mall...but there's only western stuff...and it looks like the old west. I'm dressed up as a cowboy, my hair is hidden and tucked up under my hat. The people tending the store in this mall don't look too pleased to see me so I say, "I'll see you boys later," then I make a bull sound, and go charging off toward a wooden wall, head first. Apparently I don't make a very good bull, because I just hit the wall hard and fall to the ground.

My head is aching but I'm alright, I'm more bothered that my boots got all dusty, so I wipe 'em off a bit. Two large men walk over to me, I see they're carrying rifles. The light is behind them so their faces are in shadow but I can see one has long greasy hair and the other is bald. "Howdy," I say, "I'm Dirty Nina." and I take off my hat and let my hair fall down. "You boys are mighty good looking," I say, trying to hide the sarcasm. The bald man walks closer and leans toward me. I can see that he has bandages over his eyes and he's looking really angry..."Well that's just fine little missy, but we got a debt to settle." He smiles, and I see a nasty toothless grin. The dust begins to settle and I need a plan, I see the spurs on my boots glinting out of the corner of my eye...but just then...my alarm goes off. And I have to get up or I'll be late for work.

Very frustrating, this dream was going to be mighty awesome.
    8. Red Shirt Dreams = Reality

      by , 02-24-2011 at 12:54 PM
Note: The past two nights I've had dreams about red shirts. My old job dream two entries ago, I was wearing one particular red shirt I own. Tonight, and after I recorded this entry, my girlfriend came over. She brought with her the very shirt I had dreamed about. I had no idea she had taken in it, or that it wasn't in my laundry basket.

It's possible, even likely in this instance, that subconsciously I was aware it was missing.

    9. ☽ The Night Project - Entry #1 (Tic-Tac-Trickster)

by , 02-24-2011 at 06:28 AM (The Night Project)

Finally, somewhere more exciting than Word 2010 to keep this log! You'll probably want to read this through; the title doesn't make sense until the end.

So, this is not exactly a "journal," but rather a log book for a project I am conducting involving lucid dreams. I have been doing mini-projects, but I am officially starting tonight. (This log is mostly for my own personal reference, but I figured I would post it here as well just incase someone wanted to read it!)

I have had countless questions involving lucid dreams that I've always wanted answers to. Some of these questions may have already been answered, but I'm the kind of person who wants to be able to tell people that I know something because I've experienced it first hand. If I have a question involving dreams, I will do an experiment, and write a log about it here. And eventually, I am hoping that others can give me ideas so I can keep this log going at a steady rate.

Enough chatter, time for the first experiment.

I've lately been wanting to know what would happen if I was to, in a lucid dream, play board games with my subconscious. This will probably be interesting considering your logic center is partly off when you're dreaming - so I want to know how advanced of a board game my subconscious can handle, if any at all. I have heard strange stories of people trying to do this, but I want to see for myself. As I said before, I will be documenting all of my progress on this experiment in here. I will be starting with Tic-Tac-Toe, moving on to Checkers, and then if all before is successful; Chess. This experiment will be done using the WILD method. I will write another log once I get some progress.

      Game on!

In the meantime, here's one of my dream journal entries from last night:

      DREAM JOURNAL ENTRY 2/23/2011 6:35PM

I had two dreams. One of them was lucid. The time they occured was most likely the morning of 2/23/2011; before 7:00AM.

#1: The first dream randomly turned into a lucid, not sure how. I was standing on a bridge with two Dream Characters. I was in the same setting as the second dream that I would have after this. This one, unfortunately, turned out to be a fading lucid, and it is hard for me to remember every detail, but I do know that it was pretty cool when I realized I was dreaming.

The bridge was big; going over some sort of dry lake. It was made of copper and iron, and me and the DCs seemed to be climbing over it. The sun was out. Then, out of the blue, I suddenly realized I was dreaming. I decided to go and try to convince one of the DCs that he was in a dream just to see his reaction. This DC had dark brown anime-like hair, and was wearing brown too. I don't remember his reaction because I started slipping out of lucidity even though I tried my best not to. Then I became slightly awake, then went off to have another non-lucid (normal) dream.

#2: Dream 2 was weird. The entire thing was based on me preparing for a giant pre-apocalypse battle in another dimension. I forgot exactly what we were fighting, but I think it was an army of demon-like creatures, led by some she-villain. I remember gathering practically every monster/being/soldier from every time period, dimension, universe, everything. I also remember giving war-tactics to some people who were working with me. I also remember some of our creatures dying. There were dragons, HUGE mecha robots, aliens I had never seen before, future-soldiers, etc. I was the human, and I was also a wizard - apparently, magic would be the skill that I would use in battle. The DC I tried to convince was in a dream was there too; he was an elf.
    10. My Subconscious

      by , 12-22-2010 at 12:57 PM (Eonnn's Akashic Records)
I was lucid and talking to a DC who said they were my subconscious. It was a beautiful woman who was my age, we had a really interesting conversation and really enjoyed talking to one another, she knew everything about me, everything i've done in my life, and everything i've even thought of in my life. She could even tell what I was thinking at the moment, and what I was about to think of next. At first i was worried that she might find out about something i feel guilty about, I couldn't help but think about what i was feeling guilty over, and she said "oh don't worry about that, there's no need to feel guilty over it, im ok with it" I felt a lot of relief hearing this from my subconscious, to know that my subconscious loves everything about me is a really good thing to know. It was like we were better than best friends, it felt so good just to be around each other. Anyway, while I was around her, I felt I had a lot more conscious control, a higher level of lucidity and was more concreted in the dream, it wasn't fading or anything and the dream lasted a very long time. There was one point in the dream where i really got to shine my powers. There was a car coming very fast towards me, the guy in the car was purposely trying to run me over. I stuck my hand out and stopped the car dead on the spot, i didn't even budge one bit. The man looked very scared and so he should be. I was pissed off, I made him burst into flames by thought alone. The flames incinerated him and I made a huge gust of wind come by to put out the flames, all that was left was his burnt skeleton. I felt very powerfull, and for the rest of the dream I went around feeling like i had 100% full control, everything I tried would work perfectly first time, and didn't even require any effort, if I wanted something to happen all I had to do was think about it.
    11. Dry spell ended.

      by , 11-23-2010 at 09:28 PM
Jeeze a loo. Quite the LD dry spell.

Anyway, it was a straight up DILD. Falling asleep while dreaming is becoming a fairly common way for me to become lucid.

Getting down to brass tacks. I was basically trying to fall asleep in an alternate version of my current living room. The TV is on (It wasn't in real life.) and I'm trying all sorts of positions to fall asleep. Eventually I put on some kind of potato sack over my head. I fall asleep then. Things fade in and I'm looking at some kinda crystal ball, things are tinted blue. I grab at it, but it's too far away. I try again and use it as an anchor, feeling it and using it to calm me down. I briefly think about how soon i might wake up since I became lucid, but I let that thought drift away. I move over to a stove (Again, things are still pretty blue.) and feel it. It's quite cold. The whole area looks quite familiar, and i comment aloud to myself that it does. Despite the fact that it looks only vaguely like some place I've been. So I walk over to a table with a bottle of soda and try a sip, it's remarkably realistic and tastes like root beer. (Even though it looked like Pepsi Blue.)

This parts a little hazy. I'm in an area that looks a lot like the living room of my previous house. I see a few creatures in a fenced area, they're quite small. One of them is a skeleton riding a spider from minecraft (Despite the fact I've never even SEEN one in minecraft...). I walk by an end table with a lamp. There are minecraftian pack-llamas near it, I comment how cool they look. I start to walk outside, passing my dad sleeping in his room in my previous home.

I head out the door, which is exactly like the front door of my current home, and close the door behind me. I'm on the deck of my old house, with a nearby landmark kind of making an amalgam of the two. I think about trying to fly now that I'm outside. So I jump, and naturally, gravity is low. I don't pursue it beyond that. As I look around, everything goes really foggy and a tornado bolts past me on the right. It doesn't destroy anything though and things clear up. Soon after, a gust of wind picks me up and carries me around a bit, I'm pretty surprised by it and begin thinking about my subconscious. The wind sets me down near a dry looking bush and it seems I'm in a park, despite not having gone anywhere.

I look out in the distance and see a girl walking through the grass towards me. I know it's my subconscious, and I call out to it. We meet up and I thank it.

She looks at me and says "Sometimes when I sleepwalk, it fallows me home. Did that happen to you?"

I reply "I don't know yet..." and I wake up.

Bah, Elly wakes me up EVERYTIME we meet. But I'm pretty sure it was responsible for making me lucid this time. *Grumble grumble* I sure hope i figure this out eventually. But despite the fact it wakes me up every time I summon it, I'm not gonna stop doing it! >:C
    12. A memorable non-LD and a rooftop LD.

      by , 11-02-2010 at 07:46 PM
Ordinarily, I don't write down non-lucids here, I just keep those in my physical dream journal. But a rather interesting non last night.

It's a slight sign that I've been playing too much Minecraft, as I started out in a desert-esque biome, I move to a snowy, mountainous region. I do a bit of digging, but the interesting thing was when I tried climbing a particular incline. Just absolutely gusting wind, pressing against me. I remember being kinda blown away by it (Metaphorically, and ALMOST literally.). So I head down and notice a cave. Inside a little ways was a VERY large open cavern, the cave continued on for awhile further beyond my sight.

The large cavern wasn't lit at all, but I could still see kinda. There were these metal power boxes, that I searched as if they were chests. I search them all, nothing was inside. So I'm fiddling with my inventory, trying to place down a torch to see better. I then turn around and see this dark (Minecraftily blocky) figure jump down off a power box and scamper out of the cave. It scared the ever living bajesus outta me, in a way I don't often get scared in dreams. Frikkin' Id. Dream ended.

As for the lucid, I was in a fancy looking house, talking with an older lady. My cat was there as well, as I had to clean up some of his vomit. >=\ Things are a bit shaky after that, I didn't exactly write down the dream right when I woke up... Frikkin' sleeping pills... But I know I somehow ended up on a rooftop garden. I think I just randomly decided to RC (I don't even remember what kind, but I'd assume it's my usual nose breathe.) and then grab the nearest thing. It happened to be a small duck topiary. As I'm looking at it, it turns into an actual toy duck. This clears things up quite a bit.

I notice a small picture or painting with a swirly pattern, I'm somehow drawn to it, thinking I could use it as a portal. I get pretty close to it but nothing happens so I just leave it be. I decide to summon my subconscious, Elly, via the 'turn around expecting' method. It works! Though she's wearing some kinda green robe and a mask that is either a smiley or a kodama or Arakune type mask. I greet her and approach, I ask if she can take off her mask, she does and she has ear-length rainbow hair and firey red eyes with very black pupils. None of this bothers me though, I talk with her a bit. She doesn't say anything, which is pretty typical. Soon after, I wake up.

      Again, not untypical. =\

Though interesting, I didn't accomplish any of my November goals while lucid. Ah well, the more time I have with Elly, the better I think.

    13. Back to school, lucid style.

      by , 10-29-2010 at 04:38 PM
Jeeze a loo, ANOTHER LD?! Not that I'm complaining, but man alive if they aren't downright frequent at this point! Actually, this marks the longest LD I've had in a long time, though it was split up into two dreamscapes. Once again, Elly (My sub) maintains her crafty nature... Assuming it's not just me looking for her in places she wasn't.

Anyway, this actually may be the longest I've traveled in a dream in a long time. I left my house, thinking of asking my grandmother for a ride, but instead deciding to walk. Our front gate is broken (It's our current house.) and lying on the sidewalk, I notice my cat is home and let him in through the front door (I've done that, in actuality, one time in my life.). i pass the mailman and comment how he won't have to worry about that gate for awhile, jokingly. Most people have trouble opening that particular gate.

So I'm walking to collage, actually, it's the same school as I dreamnt about not too long ago in a Non-LD. Except it's not for Super Humans and Other worldly beings. I pass a school as I'm walking, and given how frikkin' often I dream about school, I'm not content just going to the school I'm supposed to, I have to stop at a random school on the way that vaguely looks like my old highschool. @_@

So I end up at a class taught by my second grade teacher Mrs. R. Though the students look to be about 5th or 6th graders. Anyway, the teacher is having a heck of a time with them, as they are absolutely enamored with chapter 1 of something... I think a book, and so much so that they're reluctant to continue. I'm mainly just observing at this point. Though I see some kid bully another kid, I follow him into the bathroom (Which is oddly attached directly to the classroom.) and basically threaten him if he tries to ever bully that kid again. Double standard? Yeah. @_@

Anyway, Mrs. R reminisces about a class trip me and my friend P went on (Which never happened IRL). Something about my friend P jumping off a boat after being dared or something.

Some more things about that Chapter 1 hoopla. Then I realize the time, that I'm late as all hell for my collage class! I have a trapper keeper which the above bully gets for me, but accidentally (Ha, 'Accidental' sure.) spills the papers all over. I pick up the stuff, joking with him about the accidental part and head off towards the exit. The class is sad to see me go. I breifly think about asking Mrs. R for a recommendation in regards to the collage? something like that.

Anyway, I get to the exit of that school and see my first girlfriend S and her boyfriend (Though, oddly enough, S doesn't look anything like herself and neither does her boyfriend.). I say "Ms. S.R. (Her full name.) I presume?" she turns her head and gives me the cold shoulder. I'm a bit sad by this and just exit, saying "I'm sorry, more than you'll ever know.". So I'm walking on the sidewalk along the school, there are students (About high school age, maybe collage.) all over outside. I check my watch (Of which I don't have one IRL.) and see it's 7:15.

As I'm walking, i get it in my head to do a reality check. So my MILDing must really be paying off. I do, it fails, and I'm lucid. At this time, i notice S.R. is there smiling. (Probably Elly, whom I, once again, forget to summon. Blargh!) First thing I do is drop down to the grass on the boulevard and feel it, and even smell it. It's all quite realistic. Soon after, things get extremely blurry, so I stare at my hand, and say to myself "I want to stay in this dream a bit longer.". It doesn't save the dream, so I fall backwards to try and salvage staying asleep.

I fall for what seems like a good 6 to 10 seconds. Eventually I find myself at a different street. I notice a power pole most prominently at first, then I'm looking down the street. I preform another reality check (Yay me for remembering.) and it fails, and thus I'm still lucid. There's a large white car in the street, people all around, at the end of the street it gets very Minecraftian, with a hole and Minecraft dirt at the end of the street.

Anyway, i try and experiment and find a lady amongst the crowd and kiss her. She doesn't seem to enjoy it much, but she lets me kiss her about 3 times on the lips. I kiss another lady, even tasting the lipstick on her lips (She wasn't wearing lipstick...), the crowd kinda gets angry at me, so I don't peruse it much. This was mainly a test on expectations.

So, I find myself in an airport or mall type setting. No jump cut or anything, the scene just changed without me noticing. There are two restroom doors labeled very oddly, I only remember one as... Rantata? Or somewhere along the lines, I remember thinking it was Spanish or something. Somewhere in the mall/airport, I did at least a few RCs just to keep lucidity. Mainly nose breathes, but I did change it up with a finger count (5, if you're curious, but my hand itself looked odd, so it still kept me lucid.). Anyway, I enter what seemed to be the womens bathroom, though there were other men within'. I only took a look around, everything seemed normal (Besides this being a unisex public bathroom.). Well, there was one oddity, an apparent bathroom attendant in a white animal suit (Think mascot-esque.) whose sole purpose was to open the door to the bathroom.

I check out the other bathroom, after being cautious of the drains in front of the toilets. (I honestly don't know why.) In the 2nd bathroom, Mr. Guy-in-white-animal-suit is there, and I help a lady out by pointing out a map to the mall/airport that is on the wall. Anyway, the place seemed to change focus from a bathroom to some kinda... Automated dispensery or something. I notice someone, in a VERY awesome way, quickly using their foot to press a button and just barely eak out using a booth before person. It was a rather portly looking african-american girl, so I walk up to her and comment on the awesome move she pulled. (In retrospect, she looked like an older version of someone I knew in grade school.) She's apparently getting bullets from whatever dispenser thing she's using. I comment how it should be like a serve-yourself soda fountain and the bullets are dispensed in a cup as well. She gets a mild chuckle outta that. I think I really wanted to jump her bones or something, she mentioned using Zyrtex to 'keep it up'. 6o.o;; I agree, saying it shouldn't be too hard to get some.

Anyway, she packs up her bullets in a box (There looks to be well over 100 in the box... Possibly 200. I think they're just 9mm.) and I follow her out. We walk near a very familiar looking metal railing. A few steps later, in front of what seems to be bleachers? She turns around and throws her arms out to her sides. I wake up.

Sheesh, I guess that's to be expected in subconsciouses... But Elly really does like toying with me! >:C

    14. Two-goals one cup.

      by , 10-16-2010 at 06:46 PM
Shazam, out of the blue two goals, one a yearly, checked and in the bag!

Both having met my subconscious and held a conversation (Kinda) with it, that marks them off the goal list. I even got to try more interesting techniques.

Strangely, it all started out as a dream where I was on an island (Beaches are my go-to scenery for first dreaming when I'm MILDing, has t'do with the Drawing of the Three by Stephen King, and it's easy to visualize a plane of yellow next to a plane of blue.). Kind of video-gamish (A common theme in my dreams, I'm such a loser.), I was with my dad, looking at the craziness. I remember wondering what it would be like to open the console with an interface like this (I think I thought I was in virtual reality.).

Hilariously enough, I tried the nose breathe RC a few times just to see how it would work in this *Ahem* game. And was surprised when it failed each time, but I seriously had a derp moment as despite having done it at least 3 times, I still thought it was reality.

It wasn't until the appearance (And mosaic disappearance, like he was being censored on TV because he didn't sign a consent form.) of a recently deceased friend of mine that I think I started to get the idea that i was in a dream. Though that particular setting would change before I would get to be lucid in it.

I think I actually started to wake up at that point, and was in a semi-void for a bit. But I'm pretty sure I DEILDed back in. (This is actually a first for me, and I do it multiple times during this!). I'm no where near lucid at this point, I see my sister playing with two dogs upon a hill near a house in the snow (One I'm pretty sure is my dog, the other the dog of the aforementioned recently deceased.), the two dogs maul a guy (as they're both off their leashes.) and paramedics arrive. The dream changes focus and I'm walking past a fast food place with the doors open in wintertime.

Tactile sensations are pretty rare in my dreams at the moment, but I remember feeling the slight icy covering of snow on objects as I walked by. Eventually, I see my dad next to what looks like his car. He has me drive (the drivers seat is on the passenger side.) and the interior is very futuristic looking. I don't know my destination, so I use some kinda HUD navigation system, I dunno if it worked but I found myself at some kinda clinic. Police are standing off against some lady in a wheelchair (Possibly my sub!), I usher her inside, do a RC and approach the bar inside. The lady orders a drink, and the bartender asks me "Do you remember?", I reply with "Remember what?". Boom, I'm in the void, possibly even waking up again.

Not only did I DEILD (Possibly.), but I continued the dream from last time for the most part. Me and the lady have our drinks (I'm not drinking cause, well, I don't in real-life.). This part is hazy, but I know I end up in the void AGAIN.

I try a few things to escape the infinite blackness, spinning, sudden acceleration. But it wasn't until I felt what was in front of me that I found a way to escape. Whatever was in front of me felt like laminated cardboard, so I punched a hole, it took a bit for the dream to form, but I was looking at a cardboard wall with a hole in it. I stabilize and clarify by looking at the details of the hole, things clear up and I look through the hole. There were a bunch of people in... Cat suits? Dancing and whatnot in a circle, they all look at me so I just turn around and find myself in dimly lit hallways (Another common theme in my dreams.). I get it in my head that nearby is a door, behind which is my subconscious. I turn left and enter that door. Inside are a bunch of stuffed animals (A throw-back to my very first LD!) on chairs and hanging from the ceiling, and inside is a lady with poofy brown hair in some manner of white garb.

A little backstory here. When I was a kid, I had a few times where I dreamed of a person, about my age at the time. She was a little african-american girl I had never seen before, and I knew her name was Elvira. When I started taking an interest in lucid dreaming, I figured this may have very well been my subconscious. I only dreamed of this person about 3 times, but it popped back into my memory since starting a dream journal.

Lucid dream number... 2 or 3, I found a cat (Can't remember if I wrote about it here... I should start a reality journal.) who had a name tag of 'Elly'. Now, maybe it was just me looking for meaning in a completely random name, but I equated this as a clever-arse trick by my sub. I thought 'Elly' was short for 'Elvira'.

Anywho, back to the lady with brown hair. I asked if she was 'Elly', and she said yes. At this point I believed that this was my subconscious. She lead me into another hall, and i remember saying "It's nice to finally meet you.", we shake hands, but she's mostly looking to the left of me. I remember saying "I'd appreciate some help becoming lucid, and in particular appreciate this lucid dream.". She then lead me into a room, where this guy scared the utter bajesus outta me (Jump-scare.), my sub said something at this point, but I can't remember what. The guy gets another good scare on me before laughing and becoming all buddy buddy with me. At that point I woke up for good this time, as I noticed how dry my mouth was.

Actually, the avatar for my sub, I may have met in a previous dream I had that night. It may have been my sub all along during that too. I was in a hospital setting (Again, common theme in my dreams.) and some lady was following me around, she was acting all crazy like... I think she wanted to jump my bones or something... Anyway, I managed to peel her away from me somehow by signaling to the staff or something. But her resemblance to Elly, in retrospect, was pretty similar.

Oy, it's nice being able to write more than just a paragraph.
