I am, once again, my female Lucifer character, where I introduce myself to people as Sam. I'm following a version of the character in which I'm sent from place to place through dimensional portals. I open the portals myself, but I have no idea where they lead to when I step through. I don't remember most of this dream, which is a shame, because it was fun. I think. I've secured myself an invite into the apartment. I don't need it; it's just polite. I open up the window and step inside and - splash - find myself doused in holy water. It has no effect, of course. Buffy is very suspicious of me, for good reason, I suppose. I'm not actually an antagonist to her and Angel, though. This time. Buffy, When You're Quite Possibly Evil, Maybe. Scare Factor: 2. Reaction: I really wish I could remember more of this.

Go to the moon was kind of my madness mantra last night. Attempted to remember that I wanted to do this. I'm in the basement of a building my grandparents used to own. In the dream, it had been extensively remodeled since then. I try to apply the actual blueprints to the dreamscape, but it's too confusing. I hear newborn kittens. I see a few heads of bread-mice scattered around. The mice here are made of bread. I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide that this is all his fault somehow. Shift. I'm in a love story, switching between two of the three main characters' points of view. I leave down the stream with the guy who's not me? This is confusing. Shift. I'm in a forest, hearing a Voice that gives me instructions. I'm happily running through, surrounded by green, green grass and trees, when I come to a stream. I jump straight over it, but land awkwardly on the other side, not having gone as far as I thought I would. Water saps your power away, The Voice explains, That makes rivers difficult to cross. I'm frustrated, because dreams should be doing whatever I tell them to, but the dream-logic makes sense for now. I consider another, wider, river nearby. I'm near where the forest was, but now I'm surrounded by stone: banisters and stairways and what could make for some very fun parkour sequences. I glide up onto the banister, ready to jump, when I suddenly realize that because this is a dream, I really can go anywhere. Go to the moon. Oh, yeah, I was gonna try to do that tonight. I hop off the banister, landing easily on the stone floor. I hold a hand out as I had visualized, feeling through the dream-fabric. I feel and hear a buzzing, and watch in amazement as the dream within stone building abruptly disintegrates, leaving only the night sky. I look down, fully aware that I made it and I'm on the moon and - Too much surprise. I'm lying face down on the bed, just like when I last went to sleep. Everything is dark and I keep my eyes shut, trying for another shot at the dream. I feel plastic beneath my hands*, but I aim to kneel down and feel the moon rocks that must be at my feet. Shift. "How the hell are we going to stop that thing?" "I'll take care of it." "How?" "I'll take care of it." I'm using a fellow officer as bait, but I don't have any strong feelings on the matter. The monster is approaching from down the hallway, turning a corner toward me. It spots me, and I retreat into the room, leaving the door open behind me. I'm standing just around a corner, out of sight from the door. The monster steps into the room, and spots the injured officer lying on the bed. I remind myself that this is a dream and I will be able to do this. The monster rounds the corner, snarling, and I grab it by the scruff of the neck and somewhere along the back (it might have been wearing clothes) and I throw it - hard - toward the window. It goes flying as if it weighed a pound, crashing either through the mirrored door of the closet and the wall behind it. It didn't land as if it weighed a pound. I'm outside, on the red, ceramic tile rooftops, no longer worried about the monster. I consider taking another shot at getting to the moon. I hold up another hand, trying to feel the dream fabric. I little bit of deep blue bleeds through where my hand is. I put up the other hand, trying to force myself through. It doesn't work. New method. I'm standing at the edge of a rooftop, unable to see into the abyss that lies before me. I jump, only concerned that this might make me wake up. I land. Without looking, I can tell I'm still in the same dream-scape, so I jump again. This time I fall and fall and fall, visualizing the black tower that Nomad described. I land, easily, and I can tell that I am, in fact, on the top of a black tower. When I open my eyes, though, I consider that this might not have been the one I was looking for. This one is only three or four stories high, and it's surrounded by brick buildings on all sides. A watchtower. I sigh. I hop down onto the dirt and paving stones, and look around at the DCs in the area. There's a cute blonde with long, wavy hair, chatting with some friends at the edge of the courtyard. I consider that I might be half in the moon-dream somehow and these might be real people, but I dismiss the thought as unlikely and walk toward the girls. I step through her friends, smiling at the blonde girl and holding out a hand. She takes it, and I spin her around and kiss her. Oddly, I have the sudden ability to smell and taste (morning breath) and I quickly block it out. And suddenly I'm playing a game of the Sims, and there are a bunch of options on the screen. Now I'm talking to family members on the other side of the courtyard and looking for the girl so I can actually talk to her? Voices Trying to Limit Your Dream-Control. Scare Factor: 2. Though the bread-mice were somehow creepy. *So very much a false awakening.
or People to Deliberately Annoy Even More than You Already Have Just By Existing I'm taking a course that requires all the participants to stay together in a hotel room for some reason. We pool all our food together to come up with a really weird breakfast. A can of brown beans are involved. Which are vegetarian. Shift. I'm staying in a hotel in a city where one of my friends from high school - Miranda - lives. I spot her, and we hang out for a while. One of those drivable carts and a supermarket are involved. Shift This is a duel between an approximately 20-year-old Harry Potter and one Professor Severus Snape. I smirk. This is going to be fun. I'm approaching the tournament as if it's a video game, wearing down my opponents with a barrage of spells, exhausting them. Then I'll disarm them with an expelliarmus. "Expelliarmus!" I shout, aiming at Snape. He shields easily, smirking at my incompetence. There's going to be a lot of smirking going on in this match. "Sectumsempra!" I call out before he has a chance to get a spell off. A scythe of dark energy slices toward him. There, that one wasn't so easy to block. I'm going to have trouble remembering spells for this dream, I realize. We circle each other, I mostly dodging the spells that he sends at me. Until he's standing with his back to a seemingly bottomless pit, facing me warily. Bad, bad move. I shout two random words to cover what I'm doing, forcing a wave of kinetic energy towards Snape, who is pushed off the edge, and if that's from the wrong movie, I'm sure no one will ever notice. The boundary spells will catch him. Probably. (I'm proven right when he's yelling, a few minutes later, that he will triumph in the end, and will beat me in one of the upper levels of the tournament. At least he's confident that I'll get that far.) New match. A kid - a young Crabbe from the movies, I think - is attempting to creep silently through a poorly-lit arena, stirring up dust as he goes. I think he has an allergy, because suddenly he has to sneeze, and he can't help it - he sneezes, the sound echoing loudly through the darkness. My third person POV catches the horrified look on his face as it zooms back to another room, where Snape is creeping along more successfully. Snape hears the sneeze, turns quickly to where the sound is coming from and moves hurriedly toward the other room, ready to sneak up behind Crabbe and take him by surprise - Expelliarmus. Snape's wand is sent flying out of his hand by my spell, and I catch it out of the air. I smile brightly and wave, and Snape is positively fuming while he's pulled out of the game. Crabbe is expecting me, though, and our disarming spells are shouted at exactly the same time, resulting in a brief wave of energy that has both of us stumbling back. I recover first, and launch myself at him, scrambling for the wand. I catch it by the tip, and pull it with me as I roll past him, but the wand is about as strong as tumbleweed, and doesn't even make a decent snap as it breaks cleanly in half. The kid is staring at his remaining half in horrified fascination. "Ouch," I wince sympathetically, "And this is the world where no other wand is going to work for you as well as the first one." Crabbe looks crestfallen. "Oh well. I win, right?" I guess the answer is yes, because the next thing I'm aware of is stumbling through a bar after a round of celebratory shots. I sit down at a table. "May we join you?" I'm reintroduced to Fleur Delacour, who I met a few years ago, as well as a pretty brunette with curly hair whose name I don't remember. I flirt shamelessly with both of them, and we have what I'm sure is an incredibly deep and nuanced conversation. I'm still in the bar when I realize, abruptly, that I'm dreaming, for no real reason whatsoever. It's not so much that everything comes into focus, but that my awareness expands exponentially, and for those few seconds, I feel fucking awesome. I'm exploring the boundaries of the dream, looking for possibilities. Then the brunette invites me to dinner, and I decide that here is fine. We're sitting together on a couch, eating what I'm certain are some very expensive appetizers. She mentions that they'll be leaving to China shortly, for a business meeting, but we'll have to meet up again. Shift. I'm in a theatre, watching a movie along with, I think, my family. Water is pouring from a shower-head on the ceiling for some reason. I'm sure there was a very good reason for that, having to do with the toddler who has latched onto me as a babysitter. Shift. I'm in Halifax. Yay, I love Halifax! I'm along with my younger-than-they-are-in-real-life cousins and my brother. We decide that the most efficient way to get back to our hotel with all our luggage is to take a kayak back there. ... So we rent a kayak from MEC, and paddle across the harbour with it. The geography has changed immensely, and I don't seem to be deathly afraid of the water. Seriously, you don't want to go anywhere near the Halifax harbour water. But I am concerned when it splashes all over my backpack, which holds my laptop, which is still on. I open it up, pop the battery out, and don't bother to wonder where all of my cousins are. We get back to the hotel, where everything gets a little fuzzy. I think I'm either Sam or Dean Winchester at one point, having an argument with whichever one of the brothers I'm not. But I have to return the kayak, so I bring it back to the dock, and then I'm at the hotel, but I realize I have to bring it to the store, so I convince someone who looks a lot like Alan Rickman into bringing it back to the store for us, please. And then I spend the rest of the dream wandering around Halifax and making up parks that don't exist. Pissed Off Teachers. Scare Factor: 2/10, but only for the first two dreams that were really feverish and hallucinatory.
March 2010 I'm one person in a large group of people who have collectively decided to go swimming. When we appear at the swimming hole [that never really existed] outside of my hometown, most people stand around, looking suspiciously at the water. A guy who I remember being a grade younger than I was [whose name I saw in a journal entry yesterday] jumps straight in to the south side of the pool. I'm wearing a red lifeguard t-shirt, and one other lifeguard and myself are inspecting the north side of the pool. Some days you can swim in it, other days it's really just a puddle of stinking mud. Like today. I lose my balance when the edge of the crowd jostles me. A few titters, and I exchange words with one of the bystanders. Obviously, I'll be swimming in the clean side of the pool then, if only to clean off. The clean side has Jay using the natural rock formations on the other side as diving boards and such. I don't pay mutch attention to him. Rolling my eyes at the group that collectively won't even get in the pool, I jump into the clean water and eye the rock formations on the other side. From where I was standing, there was no way to walk across like Jay did, so I need to do some rock climbing to get to the impromptu diving board. I'm in my element when I get to the other side and pull myself out of the water. It's been a while since I got to do this [because it's very flat and boring where I'm living now]. There are plenty of easy handholds in the rock, and I work my way to the left, where I'll be able to climb up to the ledge. High School Classmates Near Water. Scare Factor: 7 because I hated high school 2 for normality, with a point for the fun of rock climbing and annoyance of public humiliation.
March 2010 The underwater station might as well be in the vacuum of space. Our oxygen generators are broken, environmental systems are failing, and lights are flickering their hearts out. At least nothing's sprung a leak. Yet. Lassiter and I are running at a full sprint down the narrow hallway, but our progress comes to a grinding halt when we reach a fork in the tunnel. Left or right? A flash of an image: I recall the unofficial layout of the station from a map I may or may not have wrangled from a drunk first mate. "I'm sensing left!" I shout over the ambient noise of the dying station. "How would you know that?" "Really, Lassie, after all this time, don't ya trust me?" A beat. "If you're leading us the wrong way, Spencer, I will kill you myself." When we get to the escape pods - because of course we're going the right way, don't insult me - there's a woman near us, kneeling over an unconscious woman with long, curly blonde hair. I don't recognize either of them, but I get the feeling that the unconscious woman might die if we don't get her out of here soon. The woman - the conscious one, we'll call her Joy - spots us and points at me, "You, in the t-shirt, I need some help here. Help me lift her into the escape pod." I hurry over to their side, and pull the unconscious blonde's left arm over my shoulders. Joy takes the right side and three - two - one - lift! Lassiter hovers over Joy's shoulder (not literally, I feel compelled to point out) in case we need help. More help. The "escape pods" are basically miniature submarines scattered throughout the station, designed for a one-way trip to the surface. They're also very small. Sparks are shooting everywhere, but I'm focused on the escape pod. "Hang on a minute," I say to Joy. The door to the pod is open, possibly jammed that way. And there's something wrong with the controls. The autopilot, maybe? "There's no way we're going to make it to the surface in that." I say. "Are there any escape pods left?" asks Lassiter. Flash. Two escape pods to the northwest, through a section that would be venting poison gas into the hallway right about now. That's the quickest route. I shake my head. "We can't make it." Joy looks at me, considering. "Not with the two of us, you mean," she nods at her friend. Lassiter and I, and Joy, even, could make it to the remaining shuttles. There's no way we could make it while dragging an unconscious woman with us. And we're not leaving her behind; we're the heroes in this story! "We're going to have to make it work." Somehow, we do. When we surface in the pod, and climb out, we're not greeted by sunlight, but what looks like a conference room with a pool. Several men in suits are staring at us expectantly. From my position, balanced on top of the pod, I hone in on the man who's in charge of this whole fiasco. He's smiling. I sigh. "I have to go down there again, don't I?" This time, it has sprung a leak. Doomed Research Stations. Scare Factor: 3.
Haven't had one of these kinda updates in awhile. 02.06.2010Love and War (DEILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Dream: Never Gonna Give You Up ★★★☆☆My Girlfriend breaks up with me after seeing a girl I was teaching something to grab my hands. I try to explain the situation, but she storms off. I spend the rest of the dream trying to 'get her back', all the while slowly uncovering bits and pieces of a conspiracy that was designed to split us up. Realizing it's a dream, I exit the building through my neighbor's window and fly around a bit before waking into an FA. FA Into DILD: *CLASSIFIED* FA Into DILD: *ALSO CLASSIFIED* DEILD: DG Entrance Exam ★★★★☆Searching for a DG, I am hailed over by a DC who refused to be ignored. Going by the name of Burnes or Burmes (he pretended to play dumb when I re-asked him) he claimed to be a DG. Trusting him for the moment, I asked him if he could train me. "What do you mean?" he asked. "Can you fight?" He responded with a wide, toothy, inhuman grin, boasting about his skill, using terminology I didn't quite catch. From there we begin to spar. Neither of us can get a decent hit in with our swords, and he absorbed or ignored my fairly wimpy energy blasts. Things started to get serious when I went Bankai and subsequently pulled down my Vizard mask. As my desire to kill and destroy grew stronger, he and the environment transformed. Him into a large muscular man with a smooth, black, oval, almost demonic, silver accented head. The environment into an apocalyptic and hellish version of my neighborhood. Immediately, he unleashed a ridiculous volley of elemental attacks into me, which just as quickly took their toll. Falling back to earth, I feel myself dying. But I wasn't giving in that easily. As he passed by to my right, I quickly righted myself and unleashed a powerful bolt of lightening through his heart. Shocked, he returned to normal, and before he could anything else I trapped his head in an orange tornado immobilizing him. Then I woke up.
22.05.2010Green Grass, High Tides, and Tall Drops (DILD) ★★★★☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Looking down at her finished painting, I smiled at the stick figures it had taken her five Fast Forwards to complete. It was a rough depiction of a hilled cliff-side, and each person in the piece was crudely labeled. Well, let's see what I can do. I grab her hand. "Hold on tight." I Teleport. The world around us spins as it fades almost instantaneous into blackness. Remembering the painting of the supposed future, I reach my other hand down into the void and feel the cool dew-covered grass that was going to be beneath us momentarily. Sure enough, we reach our destination. Vivid blue skies with their whiter than white clouds lined the green-hilled cliff-side. In the distance, deep-blue shining oceans met the lighter colored skyline. The beauty of this place was both surprising and awe-inspiring. A little ways below us were a few of the characters from the painting, lounging on the edge of the cliff. I let go of the painter's hand, and she immediately took off. Wanting to really bring the picture to life, I started rolling down the hill. Spinning, spinning, ever faster, alternating blue skyline and green grass--oh the wonder of it all. And then I ran out of ground. Shit. As it was, my current trajectory would land me face first into some rocks protruding from the cliff-face about a hundred feet down. Not fun. Turning mid-fall, I powerfully kick off from the side of the cliff, netting me just enough distance to have nothing but air between me and the water 300 feet below. Tumbling downward, I couldn't help but think, Hitting the water at this height will be like hitting concrete. Thanks rationality, you're a real life-saver. Not wanting to take the easy route out and fly away, I let myself drop, picking up speed every second. Almost at the water, I brought my feet below me, pointed my toes downward, and crossed my arms in front of my chest. Below, several groups of people were already in the ocean, enjoying the relatively calm waters. Almost there. . . SPLOOSH! The sensation as my feet broke the surface and my body shot down into the refreshingly brisk water was beyond words. A blue universe surrounded me, and I didn't have a care in the world. Floating there, weightless, pumping cold liquid though my lungs, I relished the experience. I didn't want to wake up. So, I didn't. . . Not for awhile anyways. >.>
Three lucids off of one WILD. 31.10.2009No Control (WILD) ★☆☆☆☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID After such intense and downright cool halucinations I find myself at rest, again, in my bed. No doubt this is a dream. I RC to double check. Yeppers, definitely a dream. I get up, but everything is so hazy. I have no control over anything at all. So, what unfolds is an odd dream where I am indeed lucid, but unable to makes decisions about anything. I end up pushing a large something up and around a building or stone block of some kind. When I finish that I move down the building/block to the next something and push that around too. I do it one more time before experiencing a FA. _________________________ 31.10.2009Failure (DILD) ★★☆☆☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I don't remember many details up to the point where I became lucid, but I do remember flying through Mewtwo's fortress from the first Pokemon movie. This occurred after someone asked for quotes from the movie. I realized I was dreaming and flew out of the fortress. I let myself fall to sea far below me. I fall slowly at first, but speed up at sporadic intervals along the way until crashing into the water, feet extended straight, arms at my sides. Down, down I go, into the depths. I see some white sharks swim below me. Not a fan of sharks, at all, I shot to the surface where DCs were there to greet me. I got up onto a plank. I knew this was dream, but I had to be sure because of the sharks. I do a RC. It fails. Now I'm really confused. I know it's a dream, for sure, so why isn't my RC working? I spend the rest of the dream on the plank trying to RC before I FA again. _________________________ 31.10.2009The Search For Ice: Coffee House (DILD) ★★★☆☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I'm in bed. RC to be sure I'm not still in the dream. Turns out I am. I get up and shed myself of my blanket. I fly/phase through the nearest window into a town. Now, what was I supposed to be doing in my Lucids? Oh, right, searching for Ice. I look at all the buildings for a door I can use. They're all glass, and the buildings themselves are lined with large glass windows. I decide to give it a shot anyways. I fly to the nearest door, but as I do I hover up a bit, putting the handle out of reach. The same things happens at the next door, so I decide to drop to the ground. I think to myself that Ice will be on the other side of this door. I open it already partly knowing what's actually inside due to the glass. Yep, it's a coffee house. I walk in and pass by the line at the counter. The guy at the front of the line looks at me and says "Hey." I just keep walking. Wait, I think, what if he has something interesting to say? So, I double back. And say hello to him. We walk outside and I lift myself off the ground. He shook his head and said something about me following the trend or something like that. We had an interesting discussion that I can't fully recall since I waited so long to write it down, but it partly involved him talking about an instance where his girlfriend was harmed in a dream and subsequently harmed in RL. I say something along the lines of "That's not. . . not possible." And then I experience another FA in which I become lucid for two seconds before waking up for real.
No lucids last night, but I learned a neat trick. I can find an object using my TK, even if I can't see it, just by reaching out with my hand and pulling it to me. That may prove useful. It certainly did when we were looking for our white-board during that crazy water based golf game. BONUS ENTRY OF DOOM! 11.10.2009Truce With Myself: Cruise Ship Catastrophe (DILD) ★★☆☆☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I'm going to elborate on what happened during this dream. Specifically the part when I scare all the DCs on the boat by flipping it over a few times. You know, since that is kinda completing the Basic Task. >.> I'm on a cruise ship. I have no idea how I got here. I just know it's a dream and I want to get to the moon! Now, how to do that. . . I recall Pirates of the Carribean when they flipped over the ship to transport them between dimensions. It seemed like a perfectly sound idea. However, the friends I was with at the time didn't think so. They tried to talk me out of it, but I simply ignored them, telling them their concerns were nonsense. I used an extension of my TK abilities and flipped the boat over once. Gravity remained mostly intact, but in reverse now. The windows of the cabin were underwater and everyone, including my friends were freaking out. I still think this will work, so I go ahead and flip it back upright. People start to calm down. Hrm, we don't seem to be on the moon. I violently start rotating the boating, flipping it several times. Now, everyone on the boat is screaming that it's going to capsize. "Shit, I gotta get out of here." I fly out the nearest window as, behind me, the screams of the DCs fade away into gargled murmurs, as the deep waters of the stream swallow the boat and its passengers alive.
26.10.2009Shindig (DILD) ★★★☆☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID It's a failed WILD attempt with some interesting results. As I drifted off to sleep some kind of entity who took on my appearance made its way into my body, fusing with me, gaining the ability to influence my actions. As I get out of bed, I'm in some kind of study high up inside some kind of skyscraper. Captain Malcolm Renolds bursts into the room. Examines me very quickly, realizes I've been compromised, and attacks me. There are some fisticuffs, in which he explains my situation and how it's been affecting people all over the city. I go crazy and run at the window. I'm about to jump out of it, but I gain control of my actions through sheer force of will. No. This thing can't do anything to me if I don't let it. Mal sees I've gained control of whatever this thing was and invites me on a heist he's pulling later tonight at a local shindig. Stuff happens, party ensues, heist occurs, they catch on, it's time to escape. Mal and other members of the crew all make it out just fine, leaving myself and some other people they recruited behind. We have a secondary escape plan. We enact it. A large military style float/watchtower/hovercraft comes out into the street in front of the mansion. We jump onto it as the tanks start to roll up. We manage to get past the first tank before they notice we aren't who they think we are. They start firing at us from all sides, and the chase begins. The craft is mostly earthbound, but it can makes small jumps over obstacles, which we use to help us evade a good number of our pursuers. Eventually we come to our secondary vehicle which we plan to use to escape. Unfortunately, it's attached to an underwater merry-go-round. We try to grab ahold of it with a large pole grabby thing, but soon enough we're surrounded. There's no way out. "Fuck this." I turn on Hover and fly to nearby glass doors, my objective just inside. "Hey, you can't do that! Stop it!" They yell at me. Whatever, this is just a dream; I can do what I'd like. I phase through the first set of glass doors no problem. Same thing with the second set. Now I'm in a room with the Mayor. He's playing a lottery game where he puts his card into a slot and out comes a fully scratched off ticket that is either a winning or losing card. I grab his card and shove it into a certain slot, that I knew would have a large payout. Out comes a card worth 100k. I think to myself, Hey, I could give myself a million dollar card if I wanted. I do it again, and out comes a million dollar card. Just what we came for. I walk out to the standoff outside. Yell to everyone that there's free money to be had. They all clamor, trying to get into the room first. This frees up my companions. I give them the cards and tell them I'm off.
27.07.2009Tractor Scoop Thingy (Non-lucid) ★★☆☆☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I'm required to play a point and click simulation type game where you convert an area of ascii characters over a plot of land into marketing districts. The more you convert the bigger your cursor get, and the larger the payout. There's a special ability that lets you wipe the board completely for whatever everything is worth at the time. I soon find out this is not the way to go, and before long my cursor has grown to several mile diameter. I'm now playing this game with Dwight Schrute from the Office. We've ranked up over 100 million dollars in revenue from our districts. Suddenly we're attacked by a bear. We run away, I expect Dwight to fight the bear with his bare hands, but instead the bear runs past us in fear and dwight hits it with a one of the construction tractor thingies with the large scoop on the front. <.< _________________________ 27.07.2009'Cause That's How Currents Work (Non-lucid) ★★★☆☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID The previous dream continues into what seems like a survival situation. The "storm of the millennium" hits and starts to destroy the landscape around us. We're in a city, on the bay, but there's large ice formations all over the place. I'm on one of the ice formations when the storm hits. It break apart and sends me hurtling into the bay. The only way I can survive is by letting the the ridiculous currents take me around the world and back to the states. Yeah, it was weird. _________________________ 27.07.2009Behind Enemy Lines (Non-lucid) ★★☆☆☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID A military scenario evolves from the previous dream. Myself and a company of about six men are in a large canyon. Surrounding us is literally an entire army. They're on a mission to eradicate us, but espionage ensues and we somehow manage to get them to follow orders to leave us alone. We all make our way back to the nearby high school, snipers and other weapons in tow. _________________________ 27.07.2009Sketchy Much? (Non-lucid) ★★★☆☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Uh-oh, I'm late for my class. I just had two classes and it already seems like it's been a ridiculous day. My hardest class is up next, but it turns out it's not what I expected to be. Instead of a Data Structures class, it's a class on Lucid Dreaming! Yay, what luck! A subject I already know so much about! The start of the class is pretty basic and seems legit enough, but when the teacher starts bringing up sketchy topics, and turning into a demon when she starts covering "conspiracies", and then summoning the "prince of darkness" into our classroom. . . Well, let's just say I decided to leave before things got even more out of hand. _________________________ 27.07.2009I Call Hax (Non-lucid) ★★★☆☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I fire up the Xbox, and make a new silver account. There's this new game that comes out free on all Xbox's. It's a foot race game where you try to get the best times against people around the world. I start the game up and make my avatar, it looks more Mii-ish than usual. The game itself has sluggish controls. I'm actually inside the game as my avatar, but that's normal for me whenever I play games, so I pay it no mind. Anyways, I'm having some trouble moving at a fast pace, and the obstacles in my way are getting annoying. So, I remember the course on Lucid Dreaming I just got out of. I figure it must be possible to do all that control stuff in video games so I just TK throw enemies and obstacles out of my way. As the path gets steeper and the ice slipperier I decide to simply fly over everything. In no time, I'm at the finish line, but I have to drop down for the game to register that I'm there. I get down just in time to beat everyone else who was racing with me. My time is so fast that it's the second fastest in the world by about two seconds. Yay.
07.07.2009Mysterious Majors (WILD) ★★★☆☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID This was a somewhat accidental V-WILD. I was simply trying to get back to sleep when, for some reason, I started imagining landscapes passing by at high speed. Similar to what happens when you drive, but minus the car. The visualizations became more and more vivid, and at that point I tried to throw myself into them. I was pretty sure I was dreaming at this point, but I wanted to immerse myself more fully within the dream before attempting a goal. After what happened with those last lucids, I didn't want to blow this one the same way. I kept running within my dream in order to keep the landscape moving. I thought this might help stabilize. Trees and green fields were whizzing by in my peripherals. Hey, was that CTB up ahead? He was motioning for me to follow. Sure, I thought, Why not? It can't hurt, right? He was running pretty fast, so to keep up speed I lifted myself off the ground and propelled through the air via Hover. Fly would be too fast for this. Soon we got to the treeline of a dark mossy forest. I had struggled to hold onto my accidental lucidity for some time now, but it was here that I lost it. Dropping down to the ground, I followed CTB into the brush. There was a steep slippery dirt packed slope. CTB started down it, but when I followed it was like a water slide made of dirt. Slippery and impossible to stop myself from sliding down, as hard as I tried. The look in CTB's eyes were starting to unnerve me. Where was he taking me? A short trek through the woods later and we came upon a house. It was an old house, but nothing overly creepy. CTB goes up to the door and knocks. A grizzled man comes out and asks what we want. CTB gave him some kind of code or password or something and the man's disposition changed. He becomes slightly more perturbed than he already was. "So, you don't think any of the traditional Majors at your school are right for you? The curriculum is too drab, not exciting enough. You you want to try one of those secret Majors you've heard about through rumors. What's your Major, boy?" He demanded of CTB. CTB replied honestly, and the old man thinks for a minute before pulling a sheet out of nowhere. On it is a list of odd acronyms. He points one out in particular and describes what it would entail. This goes on for a little while, each explanation of these secret Majors bringing vivid images to mind. The dream ends before we can choose one. I'm disappointed in my inability to DILD as of late. Every lucid in the past few months has been some kind of WILD. It's starting to piss me off a little bit. I'm gonna count this one as my 20th WILD, though, which is a good start, I guess. I still miss that month where I averaged 10 lucids a week. . . I didn't think I'd ever say this, but maybe things will get better once I head back to school, and have a more regular sleep schedule. _________________________ 07.07.2009Ninja Buses from the Sea (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Fragment: Bus ★★★☆☆I'm getting off the school bus, but I don't want to. There are so many interesting characters on it. Fragment: Ninja Warrior: ★★☆☆☆In the final stage of Ninja Warrior, two competitors remain. Nagato, and some other dude. This season, they have both of them attempt the last obstacle at once. The other dude bails out after making a mistake, and Nagato follows suit due to comradery or something like that. Dream: Research ★★★★☆An interesting pond/pool has been discovered. In it lives wildlife, the likes of which have never been seen before. They exhibit new behaviors and marvelous abilities. Like a Seahorse that can fly, for instance. So, we do what any good scientists would do. We drain the water, and throw all the animals into a large cooler for further study in a more controlled environment.
I can't remember much of the beginning of the dream but it included a mixture of characters from Final Fantasy 7 and people I used to know in grade and high school, as well as many random dream characters. The setting takes place on a beach by an ocean and there is a huge temple by the waterfront. The building is open concept because it consists of gigantic stone pillars holding up a triangular roof and most of the floor is just made up of the sand from the beach. At one end of the temple there is a raised circular section which sits in front of a large altar upon which a scupted stone statue of a Goddess stands. The Goddess is attired in a toga and there are rollerblades on her feat. Her arms are outstreached and pours water from her hands onto the circular platform below when she wants to bless someone. The main dream character is Rosso the Crimson and she comes to the beach with the other FF7 characters. People are rollerblading in the circular altar below the Goddess statue and Rosso really wants to join in but she doesn't have any rollerblades of her own on top of not knowing how to skate. She talks to a few people and finds someone willing to lend her some blades (the person Rosso borrows from looks like my dream character Kalima) and tries to skate at the circular altar. Because she doesn't know how Rosso stumbles about and falls many times and the other people rollerblading get angry and throw her out of the circle, saying that the Goddess will bless only those who know how to skate and to try an enter the circular altar not knowing how is blasphemy. Rosso is saddened but determined to learn and she goes off to a parking lot outside of the beach to practice. Night falls and the beach and temple empty, but Rosso stays up all night learning how to keep her balance and eventually how to spin on her toes. When the morning comes and the beach and temple again fill with people, Rosso returns to the circular altar and shows off what she has learned. Most people ignore her until Rosso starts spinning around and around on her toe wheel and the Goddess statue starts pouring water from her outstretched hands onto Rosso below.
Dream starts off with Link from the Legend of Zelda videogame series travelling to outside of a dungeon by a lakeshore with many flowers and ferns. I cannot remember what the dungeon entrance looked like or how Link got in. He is very muscular and "manly" and proceeds with confidence because he can navigate his way and defeat monsters with ease. There is a bouncy spring at the end of the first hall (which is made of blueish grey bricks), that bounces the person who jumps on it across a cavernous room to the next level, which is elevated beyound normal reach. Link jumps on the spring and starts to fly across the extremely large space but notices a floating bridge high up in the air and is able to direct himself towards it. Link lands on the stone bridge and walks to the end of it which is blocked by a partially fallen wall. There is a space to squeeze through just big enough for Link and when he's through he is in another extemely large cavernous room, but this one is even bigger than the last and the floor is covered in a deep pool of murky water. The bridge abruptly ends not far from where Link had to squeeze through and it looks as if it has been broken off or crumbled away. Standing at the edge of the bridge and looking to the right, Link can see a tunnel that sits just above the water line and he figures that is where he has to go. Just then an enormous sea monster jumps of the water and knocks Link off the edge of the bridge. He falls with the monster into the murky water and kind of panics because he cannot fight or defend himself while swimming and there seems to be no ledges at first upon which he can grab to get out of the water. The pool was calm and still at first but is now thrashy and wavy from the sea monsters movements, making it difficult for Link to keep his head above the water. Many of the waves slam him against the wall of the pool and he sustains damage. The movement of the waves forces Link to the opposite end of the pool from where the exit tunnel is and for the first time he notices that there are other people in the water, also trying to stay afloat. Link sticks his head under the surface and sees the bottom of the pool, which is shallower in this end than the other and there is seaweed growing on the bottom. The other people in the water consist of several men of various ages and a young woman with short brown hair. When the water has settled down the people and Link swim over to the tunnel and pull themselves out of the water. Link sees that the young woman is wearing a short skirt, low cut top and leather jacket and he feels attracted to her. She looks seductively at him then walks down the tunnel. Link wants to follow but can't because the old man starts talking to him saying that the people have to live in this tunnel because the sea monster has trapped them there. He doen't explain why they were in the water however. There are bunks on the side of the tunnel and some of the younger men and Link lay down on them. When it seems that everyone else is asleep, Link gets up and walks down the tunnel. He turns a corner and finds that it comes to a dead end because the tunnel is blocked by metal grates and stuff. The young woman is there and Link goes over to her and they start making out. Some of the young men from the group come looking for them and they stop what they are doing and try to act nochalant. One of the young boys asks Link to follow him. I cannot remember anymore of the dream.

Dream starts off with me standing on a wooden board walk along the right side of a river I know to be the Thames river of my home town, even though the environment looks different. The water is dark but there doesn't seem to be anything in the river. Ahead of me I see two large, flying snakes that are technicoloured and moving away from me by spiralling around each other in a corkscrew pattern. I am excited because I believe the snakes to be spirit guides and I start to follow them. (I was reading about spirit guides before I went to sleep. I also recognized the archetypal symbolism of the mystical Rainbow Serpent from Aztec and Aboriginal Austrailian mythology). The snakes fly into a large stone well into which the boardwalk and river seems to end. The water flows into a large opening on the side of the well and seems to disappear. When I get to the well I see that there is no water but a wooden spiral stair case leading down. I can see the rainbow snakes, still spiralling around each other, deep in the well where the stairs disappear into darkness. I walk as far down the spiral steps as I can but lose sight of the snakes. There are several other random people walking along the stairs, some going up, some going down. It becomes so dark that I cannot see anything. I can hear the river roaring around me but I cannot see or feel any water. I walk back up the spiral staircase and out of the well. I frustrated that I lost the snakes. I start backtracking along the water but this time I am walking on the left side of the river. I stop and take a look at the river as I notice it is now jammed with large sticks and logs. A large metal tube thing has appeared just underneath the surface of the water and it is violently sucking in all of the wooden debris. The end of the metal contraption is attached to the side of the stone well. I cannot see the inside of the metal contraption but with the spead and ferocity at which it is sucking in the sticks and logs. I walk for a bit more and come to a grassy hill by the fork of the river. There are two males standing near the waters edge, ready to step in for a quick dip. I try to warn them about the deadly metal contraption but they ignore me. The older of the two boys jumps into the river and tries to swim across, but is unable to because of all the wooden flotsam in the water blocking his way. He ends up being dragged down the river and into the metal contraption. I re-enter the well in an attempt to find out what happened to him but there is still no indication of where the river is flowing even though it disappears into the side of the well. I walk down the stairs a bit and pass many people and come across a door that wasn't there before. I open it and go through and find myself in the laundry room in the basement of my parent's house. The young man, whom I thought was surely killed, is sitting on a wooden rocking chair by the back door which is open. I talk to him for a moment (but I cannot remember what was said now) and then follow him out the back door. I cannot remember any more of this dream.
