    1. I am Not Helpful, Spider Scares Me

      I was at my school, and I was carrying my baby cousin. She was having a fit and completely freaking out, so I put her in her stroller.
      Time skip.
      I was in a hallway at the school, and my mother was there. She told me to go outside to the car to assist my father with carrying some things. I had my sweater on, so I knew I'd be warm enough. I walked over to the doors and was about to go outside to the parking lot, when I realized that I didn't have my shoes. I went back to where my mother was to get them, but she began to scold me for not helping, claiming that everything had been brought inside already. I angrily put on my shoes and went outside. I jumped on the ground and slid on the ice on my belly. It was jolly good fun, but I stopped because I didn't want to dirty my sweater.
      I walked over to the car where my father was working on his computer. I began talking to him though the window.
      "Can I help carry anything?" I asked. I noticed some gross-looking bugs on the outside of the car.
      "Everything has been brought in except a couple things that Ill get."
      "I'll carry them."
      "Why?"
      "Well, because I didn't help out earlier and I desired to make reparations for my lack of assistance, and THAT BUG IS CREEPING ME OUT!"
      On the car was an ant and a "tomato spider," as I called it (see image below). They both had a bunch of little white grub-like things attached to them, parasites I expected. The ant was big, but worse was the tomato spider. It had a gross red body and long legs, and a fuzzy tail. It fell off the car and I jumped back. I began to stomp on it, but every time I tried to kill it, it didn't die. I stomped again and again, but it still lived.
      I went into panic mode. I was freaking out. I hate bugs, and they are one of my biggest fears. I began to flail, and I almost hit a nice young lady in my panic. My father kept telling me to calm down, but I just couldn't. Now while that damn spider still lived. I stomped again, and again, and again. Finally, I threw a napkin on it and stomped again
      . Finally, I woke up.
      This one scared the feces out of me. I am so afraid of bugs, for no reason. I think this one counted as more of a nightmare than the last one, because while roaches are just gross, big red spiders are frightening.

    2. Stepping Out of the Narrative - Another Success for OILD

      Nearing the apparent conclusion of a lengthy and dramatic dream, I find myself running through narrow streets and building sites in an attempt to reach 'safety'. I recognise this as a fear-based situation and gradually become lucid. Scaffolding poles begin to fall around me, and I instinctively cover my head with my arm, even as I am beginning to sense that I cannot actually be harmed.

      As I consider my options, I realise that the first thing I should do is simply step out of the narrative; an option available to anyone, at any time, whether dreaming or awake (for only then can other options be clearly considered). And, sure enough, the moment I stop running everything around me becomes totally quiet and serene - eerily so, in fact.

      Looking into the distance, I see a huge metallic monolith blocking my way. Then I focus on what's immediately around me (rubble, a digger truck, wasteland) and feel this to be one of the most solid and 'realistic' dream environments I've ever experienced. So much so, in fact, that the prospect of flying or manipulating objects seems as unlikely as it does in waking reality. As an experiment, therefore, I resort to verbal commands (which have worked in the past).... "Take me up there," I demand, looking at the giant monolith. But nothing happens.

      Of course, there was no compelling reason to go onwards, since I had stepped outside of the narrative. Indeed, there was nowhere to go at all, nor anything to achieve, in the absence of a linear context of some kind. [In the absence of the ego?] And this realisation filled me with a profound sense of bliss and freedom. As I contemplated the matter further, I felt that I was being given a valuable insight into the subtle nature of the prison (the egoic auto-pilot) which keeps most people enslaved. And it really is 'subtle', at the end of the day... Freedom itself being nothing more than a shift in one's perspective.

      Notes

      In light of the above dream, I would like to refine my description of OILD. Specifically, I would like to introduce the concept of a get out of jail free card (or 'option') which exists permanently in one's back pocket, so to speak, regardless of whether one is awake or asleep. In other words, it's not merely that one has other options to consider, in any given situation (context based), but that one [always] has the option to 'play the card' and transcend the context altogether. Indeed, this is the first option that one should utilise when 'triggered' to do so by obstacles, conflicts or fear-based situations, etc.

      Needless to say, it's not as easy as it sounds, because emotions, fear and ego tend to prevail. This is because we are totally identified with the 'narrative' of own waking lives and the resulting sense of identity. I suppose what I'm ultimately referring to here is detachment, clarity of mind, and the dissolution of the apparent self (if only temporarily)... Which is, of course, the goal of many spiritual traditions, which also happen to see "lucid dreaming" as an indication of one's progress.

      "Use your perceived enemy to destroy your real enemy."

    3. Beach Fireworks

      I was waking up in a hotel bed. I didn’t know where I was but I was still sleepy and maybe I just needed to wake up a bit. I noticed a woman was in the room with me but was not seen. I looked outside the wide balcony window and saw a large beach. The beach was unusually wide from the shore back to the hotel where I was. It was so wide I could not see the waves for the bump of the beach’s overall shape. I saw a tall tower on the beach that looked like a scaffold covered in black clothe. There was a horn blast from the area like an air horn. I focused on the area more and my vision zoomed to the area much closer. There was another horn blast and a silver fireworks stream shot up into the sky not too high. The firework did a circle in the sky and then fell to the ground, several fireworks circled or spiraled up into the air like this as I watched. I remember hoping no one was hit by the falling still sparkling fireworks but they always fell between people.

    4. Kevin Spacey Wants the Van

      Notes:
      There was a whole other dream before this one, but I seem to have forgotten it. Maybe I'll remember over the course of today and write it down, too.

      I was in the center of a ground-level vehicle parkade, which had low ceilings and was made almost entirely of gray concrete. The parkade was situated in a vehicle-centric city, because I could hear many cars driving around outside, but the noises were very quiet and hollow-sounding. There were small pot lights in the ceiling, but most of the light came from the sunlight outside, because there was a fair amount of it pouring in from the open sides of the building.

      I was standing right beside a silver Toyota Sienna, or at least it looked like one. It's difficult to tell in a dream unless you're lucid, and I wasn't paying much attention to it from the start. At this point, I knew my mother was outside the parkade, paying for a parking ticket. She had started up the van with her remote vehicle starter, and I was keeping an eye out for it in case someone decided to get inside and steal it. Anyone could just walk into the van and drive away because it was all ready to go. That's when I saw a man walking by me. He was wearing a purple hoodie which looked fairly large for him, and blue jeans.

      He then stopped and turned to me, saying, "hello, what's up?"

      I said, "just waiting for my mother to get back and drive us home."

      "In that case," he said, looking at the van and starting to walk around to the driver's side, "I'll take it home myself." The words carried a hint of aloofness, like he didn't care what happened. But clearly he wanted to steal it.

      I ran around the side of the van and grabbed one of the white drawstrings of his hoodie, the ones that came from inside the hood. I pulled on it, not thinking I could do anything else, and started to yank him away. I saw the other drawstring and grabbed it too; now I was pulling on both of them. I proceeded to yank him away from the van, despite his protests of "hey! What are you doing?" and other, more nonsensical phrases that I can't remember.

      After waking up, I realized the man looked exactly like Kevin Spacey, and he spoke like him too. I also laughed because I realized how stupid I had looked, pulling on the strings of the guy's sweater to get him away from the van.

      Additional note:
      I had a WILD breakthrough last night. I tried my luck at WILDing to see if I could break my dryspell that's lasted for over a year. I listened to white noise this time, a static-like sound, and within about twenty minutes I was extremely relaxed and felt my thoughts going in strange directions, without me voluntarily thinking about anything. It was a strange feeling, but one I remembered from a while ago. I also started to see small dots of white flashing around, which I observed for a mere few seconds. I accidentally forgot to stay calm and woke myself out of it.

    5. Horsekillers of the Wild West

      A man plays an Old West guitar… or “gee-tar.” He plays alongside a small band in a typical run-of-the-mill saloon. Like everyone else in the building, they chew and wear chaps and cowboy hats. Dust covers everything. I am an outsider, (from the town, and literally outside of the saloon) riding my horse through this future ghost town. My horse suddenly collapses and I spill into the middle of the road. My horse is dead. I look around the road and town’s buildings and see countless other horses have died.

      I look at my horse and watch it go through the entire decaying process in a matter of seconds. My horse is now just a skeleton. All of the other dead horses are also skeletons. I look on at all the dead horses, still in shock, holding the reigns of my skeleton horse… and tie it up to a post. I enter the saloon, the band still plays and I order me a drink to clear my head. A large cowpie jerk of a man starts shit with me and antagonizes me because I ain't from around here. Chaos ensues.

      A large, full-scale old-fashioned wild west bar fight breaks out of epic proportions. All of the classic Western moves are there: man falling off balcony, the Madame’s girls screaming, some guys too drunk to fight; and on top of that adding a healthy dose of classic dream power: telekinesis. All the while the band never stops playing. Finally, at the climax of the fight, the song ends and I am left the last man standing. Exhausted, I am clobbered over the head by the singer/songwriter by his gee-tar, and he is deemed REAL last man standing.

      Loafs for the poor

      I’m at the office where my mom used to work. It was a strange building with office rooms along two parallel corridors and I’m going back and forth on these corridors, looking for something, I think the kitchen, because I’m hungry. I encounter Beta, a lady from my childhood, but I try not to be noticed by her. I go after her, quietly and she eventually leads me to a lobby where a huge pool with bread and cookies is set to be delivered to hungry people. Well, I’m hungry so I think it’s ok to take a loaf of bread, which I do, but then some young guy also decides to do the same and he is picky, sorting the whole grain bread, sliced bread and so on, to chose one he likes. I think maybe I could also choose a nicer bread, but in the end I feel bad, because I'm not supposed to take anything at all.

      Then I meet my friend Top Gun who offers a ride somewhere. I accept and he drives me while we talk. I find out he is now father of a baby girl, but when I ask about her mother, he says they aren’t together. He still has a crush on me and is not in love with her. We’re going uphill and we cross a funny bridge made of lava, over a river. I fasten my seatbelt when I see we’re entering a strange and rough terrain. On top of the hill, on the other side of the bridge, we then go through a stone paved road with a steeply sloping downwards. The environment here is completely different, moist and warm, and I spot exotic animals all over, like giant orange butterflies and strange birds. In common they all seem to have one thing: they all have giant wasp-like insects parasitizing them. The poor butterflies have to carry around a bug which is their own size. Unfortunately one of these wasps decides to parasitize me to. It flies into my face and nails itself to my nose, almost like a piercing. It hurts and freaks me out. I wake up.

      Magic battle I
      Can’t recall the beginning but I’m inside some castle which is under attack and I’m someone important, like a princess, because everybody is protecting me as I am the main target of some evil forces who breached the castle. I am being escorted by maids and body-guarded by some knights. When going down some hallway to a safer place, we’re attacked by some warrior mage holding in his hand a narwhal’s horn as a spear. He pierces through a knight that puts himself in front of me to save me. Me and a maid are cornered and trapped between the dying knight and this attacker, and he is trying to push the horned spear deeper through the knight, trying to pierce me to. He almost gets is way, but this brave knight is using his last bit of energy to pull him away from me so I can escape. I manage to escape that corner and I fight the guy and steal his narwhal spear. I use it to kill him. It is so sharp that it cuts through flesh as if it is butter. The guy dies but with an evil grin on his face, as if he found some delight in the way I surprised him and killed him.
      The maids and knights are again escorting me down this hallway when we sense a dark energy above our heads and we run before it attacks us. They then push me up some spiral stone staircase that goes up to some more private chambers, where I should be more protected, but as soon as I arrive up there, I find an Hawaiian witch (don’t ask me, I just knew she was Hawaiian) who tries to kill me with a curse. Luckily I react pretty fast and I throw back the curse at her. After all, I don’t seem toned that much protection, I can protect myself very well. The witch runs from the reversed spell and flies out of the window on a nearby balcony. She is a bit disoriented, so she falls down on the ground below the balcony. I run to the edge of the balcony and I attack her, pointing my hands at her and using some magical powers to hold her down and inflict excruciating pain on her. I’m pulling her body parts in all directions (that must hurt) but without ever really breaking it apart, so she doesn’t really die, ‘cause we must interrogate her. When she is finally under control, I leave her to the knights.
      I turn back to see my maids all looking at her. They seem scared with my powers and I feel maybe I’m not such a good soul, if I can inflict so much pain and suffering to someone. But they all smile timidly, trying to show me it’s ok, because it was self-defense and they are the bad guys, not us. I guess...

      5:30

      Magic battle II
      I’m walking up some village, holding two tiny bottles with some potions on my hands. I pass by some old guys sitting on some church stairs and they seem interested in the bottles, so I hide them in a pocket and decide to fly back home and avoid exposing myself longer to the outside dangers. I fly high so I spot my home – it’s a fortress by the sea. When I arrive there I see strange pot-like structures floating in the waters around it. I grab one or two and they don’t seem threatening, instead they look like beautiful works of art, some raffia pots with contemporary shapes. I take them to my maids and they love it, they want to put some plants inside it. Then we keep taking strange objects from the water, like a never ending knitted thread that reminds me of Joana Vasconcelos’work of art.
      Then I have a gap in my recall, but soon after we’re under attack again. We run to inside the castle and we try to lock the gates. Some warlock with an army has come to try to kill me again. Man, they really don’t like me for some reason!
      The gates are barely holding and some brave knight is holding it shut with his own arm strength. I try to help him but he tells me to go away and save myself. But the warlock outside sends a shot of electricity through the gates and the knight is being electrocuted in front of my eyes. He holds the gate for as long as he can, but he eventually falls. I then see this warlock with the army breaking in and about to start killing any person they find on their way. I think I must stop it and I try to shoot fireballs from my hands.
      I then remember I just read and discussed on DV about this during the day – how rationalizing too much blocks it from happening successfully. Of course, by now, I’m lucid. I then concentrate, but not in the actual design of the fireballs, but on the gut feeling of wanting to shoot them and I form the most amazing fire blows I’ve ever been able to shoot. I feel their warmth and their power and I see the army and the warlock burning into flames. It’s a resounding success.
      Free from the immediate danger, we all go up the ramp behind the gates that lead to the main entrance of the fortress on highest ground. I fly to pass all the maids and knights. We’re then looking over the castle walls to see if there’s any other imminent attack but we see no one, so people celebrate.
      I think my work is done here and I should try to do the ToTY while I’m lucid. But in the hurry I forgot to make it very clear in my mind. I simply jumped from the castle walls to the ground below, wishing to dive in the ground and exit on the “other side”. But when I was going through the “wormhole” I realised I hadn’t yet formulated my destination. I tried to think of a yellow brick road and Dorothy’s red shoes but it was too late.

      Pissed off for being (falsely) awaken
      I feel myself waking up and I try hard to stay in sleep. I hear someone knocking the door and my BF getting up to open it. It’s really early morning and I wonder who it is. It’s my mom, aunt Lisa and my dad. What do they want? My BF left the door open, so the cat comes inside as he always does in the morning and tries to wake me up. I still fight to stay asleep and go back to LDs. But they are talking loud in the corridor and my mom and Lisa eventually come inside and sit on the bed, trying to wake me up. I feel pissed. I give up and open my eyes. They are fired up with conversations but I feel grumpy. My aunt decides to leave again to speak to my father and I stay with mom. I tell her please not to do that again, because she knows how my sleep is sacred and I tell her I was just having LDs and they interrupted it. She says she is sorry, that she didn’t remember that but she knew how important it was for me, so she would be more careful next time. OK. Now I’m getting up to dress myself and I listen my father and Lisa outside the room talking. He is happy to explain her his theories about killing ants and eliminate this plague from her home – he has not been successful convincing me, ‘cause I don’t want to exterminate the ants in my home...
      Then I really wake up and I am truly surprised that before I was still dreaming.

    7. Warm Rain..

      I remember my mother telling me to go outside and play in the rain. I argued that I'd look silly and if I saw someone I knew I'd be embarrassed.. Anyways.. I ended up frolicking in the front yard. Until Paige, Kali, and Lance walked by.. I froze until they were out of sight. There was about half a foot deep pool of water covering the entire surface. And the rain was soothingly warm? It wasn't very well lit either.. At the time I was sort of obsessed with Paige..

    8. Insane dreaming frenzy, and possible shared dream

      Non-dream dream lucid dream

      Before writing down this dream entry, I should state everything that happened before, because this was truely insane. First day back in colledge so I was exhausted, went to sleep at 9 pm. Woke up at 11:30 Pm and had a lot of stuff to eat, then went back to bed, saw I was having a lot of trouble going to sleep so I said "hell, ill try and do a WILD". If I am good at anything, its naturally having DILDs, for some reason I don't even have to reality check sometimes, but suck at WILDs, you will see why.

      1st WILD attempt of the night

      Im sweating a lot because it is extremely hot in my room, I feel my body start to tingle everywhere, I realize I am shutting down, but I am completely conscious, time to dream, I hope...

      I think its time to open my dream eyes now, I only get one open, and I am in my room ahh crap this isnt a dream, I'm in sleep paralysis, after some effort I force my self awake.

      Rinse and repeat, now I open both eyes, its my same room but its too dark, need to turn on the light. I can't move worth a crap, can't even get up off my bed. (this is why I hate doing WILDS, I have such limited control of my dreams as opposed to DILDS for some reason)

      I wake up semi frustrated, failed miserably.


      2nd WILD Attempt same night

      So after waking up, I decide to change position and try it again. First time I tried face up, which is really uncomfortable for me. Now side ways

      I open my dream eyes, same room, same bed, same everything, but this time, I can move. I get up off my bed and its really dark, so I turn on the light switch, believing it will work and it does. Now for some reason at this point, I start paying attention to my Field of Vision, I notice that the edges of my FoV are dark, noticing this for some reason makes me completely start losing grasp of the dream world, my FoV is reduced to 0 and I wake up -_-

      3rd WILD Attempt same night

      I figure, I got nothing better to do, so I try to fall back into a WILD, and its really easy this time.

      In the same room, same darkness and I can move, but, this time the light switch doesn't work, which uber pisses me off. Anyways I continue to the outside and its all dark. I try to make light but I can't, I try to go somewere else and I can't either, I deside to abandon this dream, determined to go to somewhere I can see.

      4th WILD Attempt same night

      blah blah repeat

      ok so I see pure black, for some reason I consider this an opportunity to form a world, basically I tell myself to go anywhere with color, then I realized this was a flawed thought. My sub-conscious IMMEDIATELY related color to....cartoons. Now for some reason my mind likes to troll me, or I like to troll myself, so my lucid begins as a weird cheesy cartoon entrance, with some strange looking misplaced characters, eventually I become one of these, except the camera view is broken, I am neither in 1st nor 3rd person view, Instead its a faulty mixture, I can see the world, but I can at all times see, my left ear -_-. So as you can imagine it is pretty annoying. I start exploring everywhere and its just a huge world of oversized stuff, huge tables and huge chairs. I decide to get out of here, cause frankly, I don't like cartoons.

      I experience a false-awakening, but never lose lucidity somehow, this is all very confusing. I am in the same dark room again as before, and to get out, I try something crazy. I go for a WILD inside my own dream, BAM, it works.

      I am now inside a huge black room very "matrix-like" complimented even more by the single lone computer in the middle of it all. I go up to it and it has at first what seems to be a weird strand of code, but I understand what it says, they are names of people, and names of dreams. I decide to go to one of my friends dream.

      All of I sudden I find my self in a really pretty furnished house, everything is very clear, I look around and see him with a girl in the main living room, talking and I remember clearly hearing the word "fail". They can't seem to see me. I start looking around and there are certain entries to rooms that are pure black, as if they hadn't build properly built out by the dreamers mind. Also curious is that I cannot control anything, as if it is not my realm. I promptly leave.

      Back in the matrix room, but this time with a lot of people, and they are making a mess and being extremely loud and annoying, I think at this point I am semi-lucid because I make no attempt to control them. After this event, I go to several other dreams, but my recall is a little bit blurry, I remember something about a white "tent"


      The rest of the night I can only remember fragments.

      I am on a huge bed with several people, watching a hologram/movie, I remember knowing that the movie was really outdated and I wasn't amused by it at all, something about dancers. Everyone else was being quite entertained, which annoyed me a bit.

      I am in a school bus with some old friends, there is a massive storm and the bus is now floating around 5 meters above ground level, we then start rushing with the water current and are smacked around quite a bit, until somehow we are on dry land. I start talking to a girl beside me, she was kinda dumb :/, I attributed her dumbness to her addiction towards her blackberry, at which point I realized the whole story was being narrated by her cellphone.

      Post Dream Notes

      I woke up extremely tired and exhausted in the morning, I remembered to ask my friend about the house I had visited, apparently, he had dreamed he was there, the house is one that he had gone to the same day to hang out with his friends, the girl I saw was also a friend of his that was in his dream, I described her perfectly according to him, shared dream possibly? I am a skeptic when it comes to the existence of these type of dreams. Also its weird cause me and my friend live in different countries, and it could have been a coincidence. I had much more dreams than I recall, around 10-12~.
    9. Kidnapped and Mind-fucked

      It is late at night and raining. I walk along a sidewalk, without an umbrella. The rain drenches me but I don’t care, it feels nice. There are other people walking down the street in front and behind me. A long black limousine pulls up in front of me. I see a few of the other people that walk around me get pulled into the limo. It pulls forward so that the limousine sits directly next to me. The door swings open, and I don’t have a moment to react or escape. They abduct me into the back seat. The back of the limousine opens up… it is exponentially bigger inside than it looks from outside.

      Several Men in Black suits and dark sunglasses surround me and the other captives. One by one, each captive is held down by multiple men while another injects an oversized hypodermic needle deep into the center of his forehead into his third eye… the mind’s eye which rests just above and between the brow crests. The threatening Men in Black purposely show me this on a few of the captives so that I know exactly what I’m getting into. Once each person is injected they go limp and enter a catatonic state. Even though I know this and that this danger will befall me, I cannot escape.

      It is my turn now, and I fight against the men with all my might. They overpower me easily, incomparable in strength. I see the giant oversized hypodermic needle come closer toward me until I feel it puncture the skin of my forehead. It stabs deep into my brain and I feel the liquid enter me as the plunger pushes down. Something is released within me and my entire body is seized with the most intense energetically buzzing. (similar to Sleep Paralysis). The electronic current flows through my system. I initially wonder if it is heroin. I am catatonic in the back of the black limousine, and it feels so beautifully euphoric that it hurts me to the core.

    11. Bodysnatched

      An alien invasion was unleashed upon the earth by the Grays. These aliens were specifically body snatchers and shape-shifters. They were manipulators of the highest ability, akin to the reptilians. The problem was that anybody could be one of the invading aliens. A lot of people also didn’t believe me, thinking that I was just being a conspiracy theorist. My closest friends in the dream were aware though, and a hefty portion of the dream was spent thinking a specific individual was an alien, but I was wrong.

      The alien turned out to be masquerading as an ally of mine. We managed to ‘evade’ the other aliens by hiding in a forest… but it was all just a ruse for the shapeshifter to get me alone. When just the two of us stood in the forest, it transformed into its original alien form and tried to infest my body, to make me its next host. I ran, and tried to escape but no matter how fast or hard I tried, the alien was right on my heels. At this point, the stress and fear catapulted me into lucidity and I realized I was dreaming. I decided to stop and face my fears, so I stopped and turned to confront the alien. I told it that it couldn’t hurt me in this dream world. At this, the alien cocked its head and stabbed its hand deep into my chest (Mr. Smith a la the Matrix style). I could feel the alien drain my life force, as I started dying. My feelings were of failure and lost hope… as even though I stood up to a dream figure… I ‘died’
    12. Dead Teddy Bear

      I see a lone stuffed anthropomorphic Teddy Bear, complete with button eyes. It tries to talk to me but its mouth is just a seam stitched shut. In an attempt to talk, the bear forcibly rips its mouth-seam open. As soon as it manages to make a working mouth… the bear’s cotton guts spill out of it with such force that it turns the teddy bear inside out, leaving just a fluff of cotton. The cotton fluff morphs into a cloud that rains upon a single spot on the ground. Where the teddy bear once sat, the ground becomes fertile and single flower sprouts.

      Fragment:
      I'm in my house and my cousin is living with us again. (He use to live with us, but then he moved out.) We're actually getting along.
      Dream 1: I'm a superhero fighting a monster. I know it's my responsibility but I keep leaving to watch Avatar. (I don't know why I left because in the dream it was recording on our DVR. Also, I went back and forth lots and lots of times so this part of the dream was pretty long.) Then the scene changed and my mom, sister and I are driving in a car. We go down a one-way road that is blocked and continue through the detour. The workers say the detour isn't finished being built and we have to go back through the one-way road. Going back up is uphill and since I'm the guy I have to push our car up the hill. We make it home and watch a movie.(Not Avatar)
      Dream 2: My mom wants a locker, like the ones in my school. I take her to school and as I'm showing her my locker my Spanish teacher comes up says stuff.(I forget what she says.) Then some other teacher comes up and says more stuff. The scene changes to a play. My family and I are in the back. We start talking about dreams.
      Dream 3: I was a library trying to meet a guy that is a master at lucid dreaming. I decide to reality check and realize I am dreaming. The dream gets blurry. I Lick the bookshelf to stabilize the dream, it gets really clear. The guy told me to make it brighter. I tried using verbal commands but it only worked a little bit. My alarm woke me up.

    14. Family visits; dying woman

      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

      I was with my family in a dark house. There seemed to be a lot of us, more than my extended family. We were all crowded around the television
      The rest of the living room was crammed with boxes.

      I was in town, visiting my family. Today was my last day in town.

      My mom was behind us, in the kitchen. She told me that she had just called my aunt, and that my aunt would be coming over soon. I got mad at my mom. She and my aunt always has conflicts. I wondered why my mom would invite such conflict on my last day in town. I really didn't want to see my aunt.

      My mom got upset and started crying asking didn't I know she was just trying to make it so I could see everybody I loved? I now felt really bad and figured I could deal with seeing my aunt.

      Dream #2

      I was with a man and a woman, walking through a place that looked like the lobby of a hotel. The man and I were carrying big plates of mirrors as big as windowpanes. The T three of us were here to visit a dying woman. We headed for an elevator. The woman by insisted on carrying the mirror I held. She felt like she hadn't been c doing enough. So I let her carry it.

      We went into an elevator. The woman had laid down the mirror, which was now only about knee-high. We got up to the second floor, or the mezzanine. I walked around by myself now.

      I was now in a place like a library. I found a book on a table that interested me. It seemed to be written in Hebrew and had colorful art on the jacket, like an Art Nouveau version of Hans Christian Andersen.

      I was a little annoyed that I couldn't read the book. From a stack of books on a balcony above me, the voice of an unseen man began calling at me. The man sounded kind of nersy and annoying. But he was yelling at me that my time was coming soon, and that I was going to die.

      I was really annoyed by the guy, but I decided to ignore him. Suddenly I found a section of the book I was looking at that was written in English. Finally I could understand the book.

      Blurs. Orange and dark, everything fades: out of existence, into existence. This room is my prison, and my mind, my thoughts, my will, they lay suppressed, fighting for air, life, and the ability to soar. A callous laugh rings about me; my soul is his, he says, my struggle futile. . .

      I disagree.


      This dream, this state, I will overcome it!

      A flash.

      Light greets my eyes as I rise above the strength of my captor, as I rise into lucidity.

      I've been here before.

      A Demon Lord smiles at me blackly, ethereal, flowing, seated on his throne, behind his servants, their detailed malevolence and dark beauty equally as vivid as the one they serve. I cannot best him, he informs me, for I am nothing.

      Uninterested, walking away, through the open courtyard, I spot my betrayer, a Monkey King who had led me to this place. But for what, I wonder. He seems stricken, upset I have seen his true colors. Is that regret in his eyes?

      The Lord rises from his throne, following after me, through the throng of laughing demons, all in their higher forms. Are they laughing at me? Or at the incompetence of their Prince? I can't be sure, but his taunting is starting to annoy me.

      The wind blows through the short, pale, snow-dipped grass as I turn around to face this Lord, Prince, whatever he might be. He sneers, and turns his back on me. He really knows how to push my buttons.

      I raise my hand, but my mind can't make contact. Is my TK useless here? No, surely that can't be, not at my level of control. I try again, this time with two hands, remembering how powerful my TK has proven itself in the past. The Demon Lord seems horribly surprised when his head jerks violently to the side. But it's not enough; he's resisting. Pouring on the pressure, another 60 degrees, but still he stands. Again and again, I throttle and wind his neck on its axis, rotating it in circle after circle, but all I earn is a disgusting look of wonderment.

      I decide to take a different approach, taking to the air, and raising my arms up above my head, letting loose a primal shout. A yellow, pulsing aura bursts from my body whilst my hair, now bright and golden, spikes downward, extending into an impressive, body-length mane. Above me, a yellow, glowing orb starts to grow. I feed it my rage, imbuing the ball with a dark red energy. Swirling now, yellow and red, it grows as I scream, as the Demon Lord approaches me, licking his lips.

      In moments, I've grown my attack large enough to vaporize my foe in one fell swoop. So why does he look unconcerned? Is this really all I can do? He seems to think so, but I feel like I can make things more interesting. . .

      “Chidori!”

      Blue electricity shoots up my arm and fuses with the ball, coating it in a spiral of jagged cerulean lightning. The Demon Lord smile fades. He asks me what I've just done, but the only answer I give is cryptic, even to me. With a cry, I bring down my arms, hurling this orb of death at my enemy, who appears to me now as Frieza. To my surprise, he simply stands there as the blast hits his plated chest. Does he really think he can absorb that?

      I watch as he finally realizes what the chidori fusion was designed to do: penetrate his defenses like a knife through taught paper. But by then, it's too late; his last ditch effort to evade the technique only saves a fourth of his body. Part of that fourth, still floating in the air, looks back at me, forever set in an expression of despair and confusion.
