    1. Mouse Infestation

      Monday 13th April 2009
      Throwing my overpacked bag next to the bed in the guest room of my sister's boyfriend's house, I left to walk into another room where a PC was stood in the corner beside the door.

      Alone, I searched for random videos using non existant search engines and each video appeared not only on the monitor, but the huge wide screen TV which was affixed to the wall.

      As night began to fall, I walked in to the guest bedroom. The curtains were drawn tightly closed and the light was off. And dragging myself upon the high window sill, I sat within the darkness the room had to offer. As I looked out into the small room, I noticed something in my peripheral view. A person. A person sat right next to me on the window sill. Turning and studying he rmore, she looked rather like an old friend from Secondary School, with her long dark hair which was tied back into a high pony tail, accompanied by pale, ashen skin.

      Thinking nothing more of her, I turned my gaze back on to the floor at the opposite end of the room and noticed something else. Small, round, black eyes were accentuated by the midnight coloured darkness.
      "What the hell is that!?" I thought aloud.

      And running my eyes across the rest of the floor I realised the whole floor was covered in mice and rats of varying shapes and sizes. They were all feasting on bags of hay and sawdust which had apparently appeared out of nowhere and had been verociously ripped or chewed open its contents now decorating the navy blue carpet with hughes of yellows, browns and beige.

      A scream tore from my lungs as I drew my legs up against my chest and wrapped my arms around them. Trying to draw as much defense from the position as possible. All the while my mum's voice echoed in my head like a memory, There's no point in hiding in a high up place, they could just climb up to get you.

      The girl sat next to me didn't once react. She just stared. Out of everything in the room, she seemed to be the only one painted in the thickest of darkness.

      Suddenly, I was back in the room with the computer I had been in earlier, sat in a crouching position near the bed as if I had been hiding behind it.

      I slowly straightened my legs and began out of the door, meeting the mum of my sister's boyfriend on the landing.

      "You can go grab something to eat, you know." She offered with a friendly smile.
      "Oh, thank you. I was just about to." I replied, returning her smile.

      Upon this short exchange of words I started down the stairs.

    2. False Awakening

      Upon waking from a dream I no longer remember, I opened my eyes a crack and peered out into the darkness.
      I didn't focus much on my surroundings to begin with, however, after a closer inspection (my vision becoming clearer in spite of my eyes remaining half-lidded) I came to the realisation that I was in fact lying in my bed in the living room; right where the chair was supposed to be. The vision in my left eye was hindered due to the obtrusive pillow, my gaze sweeped across the dark expanse of the room before coming to the conclusion that I was still dreaming.


      I attempted to regulate my breathing into a steady rhythm and opened my eyes wider-- still, my left eye was half covered in darkness due to the pllow which my head had sunk into -- On my right eye was what seemed like a scattering of white dust which obstructed my view further.

      I lifted my head -- which felt incredibly heavy -- from the pillow, but in spite of my efforts I couldn't control myself very well and fell limply back onto the pillow.

      Curiosity then spiked and since that getting up was now off the agenda, I was curious as to see what my hand would look like. Would it have more fingers as it usually did when I did a reality check? Be a little blurry? Raising my arm, which experienced the same heavy feeling as my head, I raised my hand into a clearing in my vision between the walls of black and white. To my surprise, I merely gazed at a stump; cut off at the wrist abruptly, my hand was simply none existant.

      Stairway to...
      Friday 3rd April 2009

      I stood at the entrance of the house -- the hallway enveloped in darkness -- and two figures emerged from within its dark depths; my sister and following close by was one of my good college friends.

      Apparently, he'd slept over for the weekend and now the time had arrived for his departure. I feel a pang of guilt wash over me. I find myself wishing we ould have done more to make his stay more enjoyable. (Albiet I didn't seem to recall what was done during his stay.)

      Turning on my heels, my vision swept passed the doorway of my dad's bedroom -- someone was inside.
      Her back was facing me but she was clad in silk, pale pink pyjamas and a house coat that looked rather like a small kimono. Her long, wavy black hair was gathered into a tight pony tail which trailed, incredibly, right down to the top of her thighs.

      I fleetingly wonder who she was.

      One of my sister's friends I'd decided.

      "Don't forget your fan!" I hear my sister's voice from behind me. Following that, the mysterious girl produced a pink fan and packed it into a bag.

      My sister then grabbed a bag from somewhere and filled it with clothing of which included a red T-shirt and a brown one. Then, with her free hand grasped a nearby suitcase and we started out the door, first walking to our neighbour who lived directly opposite.
      "Could you look after this, please?" she inquired to the man who now stood at the door.

      He accepted the suitcase without hesitation and promptly we headed down the stairs. It appeared that I was now carrying the bag with the T-shirts inside, another random white T-shirt hooked in my right hand which flopped around lazily with my movements.

      Continuing the journey down, the stairs began to undergo metamophosis; taking on the appearance of hard, cold stone stairs which led up to a huge archway from which white light flooded through.
      This light was of stark contrast to the sullen darkness of the room. And this time, by myself, I walked up the stairs.

      I heard a jumble of voices -- male ones -- ricocheting across the barren area.
      "It's a shame when people you're looking for aren't there..."
      "Yeah, it is."

      I was very nearly at the top. I began up the last flight of steps before I realised I had dropped the bag I was carrying, which was now hanging loosely on a long plank of wood that was propped up against the side of the banister. And looking up again, I saw a frightened man, pale with fear and pleading looks painted across his features, slowly crawling his way up on his hands and knees towards the light.

      Still playing catch-up...
      Dead sleep between 12:30a-7:30a
      Alarm attempt for a 8:30 alarm to DEILD. Too sleepy, turned it off and passed out.
      Wake-up alarm at 10:45. Too sleepy, passed out (lol )
      Woke up on my own at 11:40a.


      As such, not too many memories recalled from my dreams, other than listening to an answering machine and expecting to hear one from Darren. I can't remember why I expected there to be one, but hey there was, and he was thanking me for the birthday message I gave him.

      I also remember lots of hanging out with people. It's all so vague!

    4. 6-21-10 dream reboot

      during the dream which a remember little of since it was 2 days ago, I looked outside a window to see snow and a few toys, one of them was an old light 3 game. I ran to my room started to question reality and the dream faded and I could feel my eyes still moving even though I was awake. I tried to make a new dream area but that did not work I then thought of a video loader icon and the area came out of that. I thought I was in my room as I walked out I saw a misplaced office chair (it was dark btw) walked down the hall to my brothers room and woke up.
    5. O Snap! That Demon is Back Again!

      I was in a dark, Hogwarts-like place. The surroundings were old and wooden, but sturdy-looking. There was a giant crowd of people around. I was on a second-floor platform, but you could look over the railing to see the first floor if you wanted. I looking for my friends, Caitlin (my pseudo-sister IRL) and Ken (a somewhat large lesbian, and one of my best friends IRL). I saw Caitlin and Ken run by me up the stairs, so I immediately turned around. I caught up to Ken, but Caitlin had gotten away. Ken informed me that Cait was possessed by The Demon.
      In its natural form, The Demon looked like a small black cloud, but it could possess people and have them do its bidding. Ken and I had to get it out of Caitlin, so we were going to have to perform an exorcism.
      I got Ken and we went to the dorm area of the hall. Some girl, with slight reluctance, let us set up a base in her room. It was a small, but cozy room with pale yellow walls. Once inside, we shut the door, lit a candle near the door and one near the bed, and I sprinkled a circle of Holy Water from the container that I had with me.

      There, we waited. I got prepared to say some exorcism. Suddenly, we heard a knock on the door. Ken went over to open it, but I stopped her.
      "Who is it?" I asked.
      No answer.
      "Who are you?"
      No answer.
      "Should I turn out the lights?" Ken asked, about to suffocate the candles with her fingers. I nodded. The room got dark, and I kept the door locked. The Demon wouldn't be getting into this room.

      I woke up.

      This dream was quite frightening, but I don't know if it really was a nightmare. It had many nightmare qualities, like an unseen enemy, my friends are victims, and I'm not completely sure what to do, but during the dream, I was acting very calm, cool, and collected, although I really was quite nervous. I knew the precautions I had to take to stay safe. I'll just put it as a nightmare.
      I should have noticed it was a dream because I don't believe in demons. I think crowds may be a growing dreamsign for me.

      My first task of the year is complete. I had a day off work so I decided to WILD. I woke up to my alarm going off at about 5:30am and got up to use the bathroom. I also read a couple of pages in my copy of a lucid dreaming book and went back to sleep about 20 mins later. As I drifted, I began to feel that familar feeling of dozing right back into REM. The visuals are amazing, almost like tuning into a TV station that starts as static but become clear in seconds. I didn't need to induce lucidity as I started the dream already knowing that I was asleep. Things cleared up once I started rubbing my hands and I noticed that the scene around me looked like something from the early Roman empire. The street was paved of tan cobble stones and the buildings kinda matched. I heard something behind me so I turned and I saw people entering a large building that was made of metal and had strange lights glowing around it. I asked one of the people walking toward it, what is inside? He told me I would have to wait to find out. I did not like the answer he gave me and I became frustrated. I consintrated on the next person and when they looked at me, to my surprise he looked identical to the last guy. I asked again, whats in there?
      This time the man said "it's a ship". WHAT?! I ran for the "ship" and peeked in the huge entrace way where people were crowding to jam inside. There were balconies and giant picture screens along every wall and the crowd was frantic. I went inside and started asking people why they were so upset and why we were in this place. Before I could get a logical answer from them, the doors slamed shut and the entire structure started shaking. I felt like I was on one of those sim rides at Universal or something. So, I ran to the edge of the room toward an opening that I did not notice before and looked out/down. We were high above the earth and moving fast. I closed my eyes for a second and we were landed. When we came out we were in a futuristic setting, not a city just a community of strangly dressed long skinny people. One of them was walking with a crowd and he looked back and jestured for me to follow him. I looked down at myself and I was one of them, that felt weird. I looked at my hands and they were moving in a strange way like they were robot hands, twisting and bending at the joint, they were also twitching like haing a spasm like never before. I ignored that and followed. We entered a small room at the corner of a building and walked up a large flight of stairs. On the way up I asked the guy his name. He said his name was Carl and that I had travled into the future 962 years. At that point I remebered that I had some tasks to do and I figured this would be a good time to start. I asked him what year it was and he said twenty one twenty urrrggghhh. I asked again and could still not understand him. I asked if he knew how the world ended and he showed me to another room with a small screen on the wall. These rooms did not look like they belonged in the future. They looked like acient ruins made of stone with a couple of futuristic things here and there. I sat in front of the screen and his small fingers came by my face and pushed a button on my sholder. The screen came on and the picture showed people getting into ships just like the one I had rode in. They flew off and the world started to melt down right in front of me. The ocean dried up and comets started to crash onto the Earths surface. Magna and flames started shooting out like geysers violently and I felt the heat. I looked around and started to notice that I was not watching on a screen anymore, I was there! The sky turned dark green and opened. A huge monster sqeezed through and was now treading towards me. He was all black like a shadow and was the size of a skyscraper. I flew away. I remember the monster was walking like bigfoot. That all I can recall.

      weird lucid

      My memory starts when the person I know as L who looked like David Rockefeller, showing up in a black limo while I am walking down a generic street.
      He gets out and I can tell he wants to use me in some way to get into my inner world. I run away into someones yard. I jump over a fence, and now I am floating. i touch the ground and continue running, not looking behind me at all. The next fence has an opening in it. Right in the middle of the fence is a square opening, so i dive through it head first. I keep running until I come to another fence with a large square opening, so this time I go feet first floating through it.

      I go into a yard that is familiar and go behind a stone wall. I then jump up onto a small concrete ledge with a stone roof with a mural painted on the ceiling. I gradually become lucid during a period of several seconds. I am staring at the mural. All I see is paintings of Asuka on the murals. I stare at one for a while and notice one of the eyelids begins to come out of the painting. I think "oh great she's hiding in the mural and is coming out to see me!"

      I instinctively put my hand on the mural. I look at it against the part of the dream and begin counting. I count up to ten, I didn't want to go high just in case I wasn't doing it right. I pulled my hand away and I watched as the dream was bending towards me like the corner edges of paper coming together. I watched as it went back to normal.

      I had something in my hand. It was like a metal dog tag with an inscription on it. It was by Walms. It wals talking about time dilation. it read "focus on hand - the dream. Count and then jump". I had a vague image in my head of walms with his hand on the ground and counting. when he was done I see him spring up right into the air.

      sex dream I kept waking up from. In the dream i would be in the same bed doing my thing. Then i would wake up and be in the same bed alone. This happened several times.

      I remember being in some building where we were participating in some wierd game. We had to go to different tables and do different actions or something. I didn't understand it well so i went outside for a smoke. It was night out and I saw something moving in the shadows to my left.

      "Is that somebody there?" I asked. I heard a woman's voice and saw the shadow come forward. There was a smaller shadow with her. they moved into the light a bit. they stood in front of me with steps leading down behind them. We were in a conversation I can't recall. I watched as the woman walked, she went from slim to a very obese woman. She asked me if I gave the joint to someone.

      as she asked it, more people came from walking up the steps. there were a few Women and one really short brown guy with a mean look on his face. someone asked "you gave a joint to someone?"

      i said "yea, It was a few inches long but not very big." I showed the thickness of it between my fingers, indicating it was really small. "It was a fucking pinner joint!" I said. Everyone laughed except the small brown guy.

      yet again. I was in some dark place watching some weird creature put a series of spikes through her and she was screaming. It faded out.

      What?

      I am Shawna from junior high. Through her eyes I see myself sitting down and playing guitar. WTF?!?!?

    8. Guess I get to make my firdt post in the new system - woo woo (22 June 2010)

      Well, here goes dream journal entry number one. How fitting, I only had ‘one’ dream that I could recall, and only partially at that.

      It had the same theme as a couple of others that I’ve had in the past. I’d be driving down the road exceedingly fast and go up a large hill only to find that on the other side it drops off sharply (i.e. I’m airborne for a couple hundred feet and hoping that I come down on the road again). Basically I lose my insides on the trip down.

      This one last night was me on a surf board (I don’t surf, never had) and I’m heading out to open sea when suddenly a huge wave is coming at me (well suddenly it’s us – my ex-wife appears out of nowhere and starts pleading with me to paddle away from the wave). I don’t see the logic to that as I would be pummeled by the wave as it crests. So I’m trying to get to the top of it before it crests, which is actually quite easy seeing as how the wave is travelling at a tremendous speed. This is a huge wave – hundred feet high.

      And then my conscious logic kicks in at a couple of feet from the top of the wave. I’m thinking that if this wave is this large, there’s going to be a trough on the other side twice as deep as this wave is high. Basically, I’m screwed.

      My conscious logic kicks back off, and sure enough as I top the wave, I’m looking at nothing but empty space before I even can begin to see water again, and the next wave isn’t much kinder looking. So, I’m free-falling three quarters of the way down, trying to keep the board upright, losing my insides type of feeling all the way down and I suddenly wake up.

      The dream itself was kind of cool now that I’m trying to be aware of them rather than just going with the flow. And I’m not even sure where the ‘ex’ fits into that one.

      Anyway, hopefully this is the first to many in the dream journal and on my way to understanding my dreams and hopefully being able to control them at some time.

    9. Sisterly Circle - And Ancient Origins

      Synopsis: In the first dream my sister is deathly skinny. In the second: After becoming lucid, I leave the giant band party where it rained beer. Two archeologists find me, and they want my help to unlock the secrets of an ancient culture. But bad guys are after us- I mean me! Wait the bad guys are my sisters? We travel back into my ancient history, where I run into future problems.

      Night Time Notes: I said my dolphin dream mantra! And then I fell asleep.

      My Sister is Sick
      My sis walks in my room, asking me what I think of her new clothes. Does she look pretty? When I look up, I'm horrified. She's so skinny, she's nothing but bones and sagging skin. She poses for me anyways, believing herself to be beautiful. She tries on some more clothes for her new raggedy body.

      "How did you get so skinny?" But really I meant to scream, WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?

      Putting on makeup and smiling she says "I got a liposuction. Do you like it?"

      I don't say anything. I don't even know what to say! Suddenly she gets pale, then gray. She's writhing away. Her hair turns white and starts to fall out. The rest of my family gathers serenely around her.

      "What's happening!"

      "I'm sick. It's okay, I'm just dying" She smiles as if everything is fine. And then I wake up, relieved it was just a dream.

      Sisterly Circle - And Ancient Origins
      Actually, it was a FA. And a new dream starts. Me and my sisters are in a giant spacious building, where a big celebration is about to take place. It was like a giant nerdy band party. Dozens of high school bands, colorguards, and other performance groups were taking turns putting on a show. There's no audience, except the other performers. So we are all just taking turns entertaining each other.

      My sisters got tired and went to the grand foyer of this party hall, where things were lot quieter and civil. I should have joined them because the party room got rowdy fast! The adults in charge make a loud announcement, they're going to make beer rain from the ceiling! The band nerds cheer! Ewwwww! I don't drink and I don't like the way beer smells. I stand by the door way so the little ledge can protect me from the rain of beer.

      I start complaining "This party stinks!" Literally. The announcer apologizes, and tells me that this party is actually being held - for me! So he gives me an opportunity to make things right. A computer screen magically appears in the air displaying soda selections. The announcer suggests "How about you make it rain coke instead?"

      Rain soda? Sounded like fun. But then I thought dumping sticky corn syrup on people was even meaner. Well if this is my party, then I'll be a good host. Instead I tell the announcer to give everyone a free coke! Like magic, soda bottles appear in the air and people are guzzling down. It was orange soda.

      There is one last performance of the night - me and my old colorguard. Were getting ready in the grand foyer. When the window catches my attention. I walk towards it, smiling, realizing, I'm dreaming! I walk through the window. It's night, very dark. Just beyond the grassy yard was a rock wall. It's a dream-wall. I fly along the dream-wall following it where it takes me. There's a small village of make shift tents nearby, of vagabonds and witches. Two witches perform a horrifying ritual on an innocent victim. Dark cloaked people with sunken eyes. And the distant shouts and howls of hobgoblins and werewolves.

      At first I thought this dark town would be the start of a fun dream. But I stuck out like sore thumb, and all the DCs were starting to stare at me. Watching me. Sheesh. Forget this! I fly back where I came from. The dream wall was preventing me from getting too far.

      The sky is more like a curtain draped over than a sky. But I fly towards it anyways. Until there was nothing in my field of vision but a black void with twinkling stars. I kept focusing on going forward and forward and deeper into the black void. At one point I thought for sure I would wake up! But every now and then colors would dance and explode within the black void. Like mini-galaxies forming in front of me. I tried to enter one, but I was 'stuck'.

      I fall backwards into the same dream. A strange crystal like formation appears on the rock wall. I know it's man made because of it's colors - it looks painted. But I can't recognize what culture would have made this. I'm drawn to it. I want to merge with it. So I touch it. That's when I notice two guys were watching me. (and I lose lucidity around this time)

      "Sorry to interrupt you, but we were waiting for you to absorb it's information." They introduce themselves and tell me they are archeologists, and they are trying to piece together the history of some ancient culture. They tell me that I could help them because I have connections with this culture. Okay! I go with them, and we enter a new dreamscape.

      Were exploring an old city. There were these flags that mimicked the shape of the crystal structure, but the colors were all wrong. Too dark. The crystal was painted airy, bright.

      The dream gets weird. There's someone after me and my archeologists friends! I don't know who. But I remember at some point that my sisters were the ones trying to get me!

      We were in an old room. The two men were looking for some information, trying to find something important. I look outside the large window. There are fleshy bodies in the water. What? I take a closer look. Decapitated horses were rotting in a river below us. Their flesh jiggling with the motion of the river. I fly down to take a closer look. A shark jumps out of the water and tries to eat me! He's huge! And monstrous! I fly back to the window.

      The shark tries to jump again, into the bedroom. The archeologists pull out a gun and shoot it. "Look! There's a man over there!" They think he was controlling the shark. "Someone is out to get us." "We have to move."

      Sure we run away, and the dream becomes a chase-dream. But running to a different place wasn't enough. I use my magic to send us some place these bad guys could never find us - the past. The ancient past!

      Were standing in a small hallway that leads to a sandy beach, where the dream-wall used to be. (Second time this week I've dreamed of a beach, and still I didn't even think of going in the water) It's beautiful and sunny. And the beach is full of wild flowers. Up ahead, where the party hall used to be is an ancient temple! But it's not ancient, not in this time period - it's contemporary.

      I recognize the temple, and the creatures standing outside. Their gargoyle like form is something I've transformed into before in dreams. They are dressed in mayan like costumes. They welcome me as any other citizen, but sneer at my two human friends.

      "They're with me. Please let them in."

      We enter the courtyard of the temple, as beautiful as can be. I can see the glowing smiles of my archeologists friends. "Now you can study this ancient culture all you want!" But then they looked afraid, I know what they're thinking. "Don't worry, I can take you back to the future when you're done."

      A woman is escorting us to our dormitories. Everything was going swell until we here a peculiar sound. A cell phone is ringing! Around the corner was a human girl. I can see the glow of her cell phone in her pocket. But she ignores and it pretends it isn't there. She disappears from our view.

      We go inside the bedroom. "Something is wrong!" "This place is a trap!" I don't know how, but they found us! "We have to leave now before they act". How disappointing, I was looking forward to learning about this culture! I fly away, carrying the two men to safety. We hide in the little marketplace just outside the temples walls.

      A tiny flying mechanical disk stuck out like sore thumb against this old village vibe. It must be theirs, like a flying camera trying to find us! We try hard to stay out of it's view. All of this hiding is getting annoying. I decide living in the wilderness is much better.

      I find us a nice wild patch growing near the beach. I settle comfortably down between some giant succulents. But then I have a strange thought...just how ancient is this landscape? I mean...all of it? I turn my head to see that T-Rex was just a few yards away. Oh crap! Within a moment his large face was face to face with me. His beady eyes. The scaly skin. Why hasn't he eaten me yet? He's following my movements like a snake. When I stay still he can't see me. But I can't stand here all day!

      We run for it and hide from T-Rex. This T-Rex didn't growl or roar. He was a quiet stealthy predator. Ancient dinos was one thing. But I can see coming from behind us were the men who have been after us this whole time - except now they look like my sisters. Damn! We quickly sneak away. Trying to find a place that's dino free, and free from my sisters who are after me for some reason.

      We go through room through room through room through room. The day time gives way to night time. The crashing waves of the beach grow darker and darker, becoming a black void outside the window. I take a turn around the corner, running into a narrow hallway, when I run into my sister!

      "Where have you been!"

      She has bright stage make up on, like she's about to perform. I hear a loud crowd, the party. I'm back in the present. My sister looks past the stage curtains and into the other room. She looks confused and frightened.

      "Why are there two of you? You're in the other room and you're right here!"

      "Long story."

      I find my other sisters, the ones who time traveled. We sat down on a table away from the party scene. They don't seem angry at me, they don't even remember finding me in their time travel. I ask him "How long were you gone (time traveled)?" And they answer "A few days" "A few months"

      "Really? I felt like I was gone for a year and a half!"

      And then I wake up!
    10. That old, heavy feeling

      Time for a nap, and as I fall asleep with the cats nestled around me, I feel like I am sleeping soundly. I hear someone call from the other room to come look at something, and when I try to stand, I become tangled in the sheets and start to stumble. I am turned around, backward, and falling slowly. I know that my head is going to hit the ground, but I can't bring my hands out from the blankets to catch myself. The world seems to me moving in slow motion, and i am heavy. Very, very heavy. I can see, and my eyes are open, but I keep trying to pull them open more, as it feels as though my eyelids are being pulled down from exhaustion.

      A man
      (my boyfriend, I realized when I woke up) comes in, because I am calling for help, and I know him, but I don't know him. He watches me fall and when I am resting on my back on the ground, he says he doesn't know who I am. I think, and I realize that I don't know who I am, either. In an instant, my father is there, though I don't recognize him either. The confusion is overwhelming, and I wake myself up. I never quite wake up all the way, but fall back into the same dream. This time when I stand, I'm not tangled in the sheets, I just don't have control of my limbs, and that heavy sensation is there again, as though every point on my body is being pulled to the ground. I try to tell myself that I am dreaming, and when I do wake up, it takes several minutes to gain enough confidence to try to stand up next to the bed.

      Dream 1 - The Train

      I was on a train. You know, one of those passenger trains with the multiple cars. It was very cozy yet airy inside, and there were maroon leather seats on either side of the car I was in, almost like a luxury bus. There were also round tables covered with white tablecloths near the back of the car. It had very large windows so people could look outside; these windows made up nearly the entire sides of the car.

      I became lucid almost immediately. I exclaimed out loud and did a little dance because I hadn't been lucid in a few days, and immediately decided to do something (although I wasn't sure what yet). I wanted to exit the train but I knew it was moving, pretty fast too, but I didn't want to go all the way to the conductor and ask them to stop it manually. That would have been silly. So, I punched a large hole in one of the windows (no one was around to witness it) and looked outside for the first time. The train was not on a track, but in the middle of traffic, moving along smoothly with the other cars. There wasn't much traffic though, so I jumped out, landing on my feet in the middle of traffic.

      I looked down the lane and saw a forest-green colored car zooming towards me at around sixty miles an hour, so I leaped on top of it, causing a large dent and feeling the top of the car implode. The car stopped abruptly, as soon as I touched it, but I didn't get thrown off. I then jumped off the car and onto the sidewalk. I tried to do the second jump stylishly but I failed miserably. I had to balance myself a bit, and almost felt pain as my feet contacted the cement sidewalk. I walked it off.

      I spent the rest of the dream flying around because that's one of my favourite things to do.



      Dream 2 - "Why'd you do that?!"

      As soon as the train dream ended, I found myself in my bedroom, all tucked into bed. My room was situated downstairs; I was in a queen bed with mint green covers, a polished dark brown nightstand beside it, and an oak artist's desk in the other corner of my room.

      I was suspicious of this, though, because something felt wierd. I got up a bit, still covered in blankets, and looked at my alarm clock. The first time I looked, it said 1:00. Nothing strange at all. However, I looked back and forth a few more times, because sometimes in dreams my clock tricks me. Caught it.

      The next sequence of numbers was 2:00, 3:00, and then 4:04. I immediately got up and said, "a second lucid dream!?"

      By now I was pretty excited but I knew better than to go around destabilizing the dream. I went out through the door to my room and ran upstairs, towards the front door to get out of the house. Through the window next to the door, between the blinds, I saw that it was dark. But I knew, through expectation, that I could make it light outside. Before disregarding the window, I looked at the door and expected it to be light outside. I turned the doorknob and it was light. Perfect.

      I walked down the driveway and was about to fly away.


      Then my mother woke me up, and I was back in bed. I was sure I was awake, so I asked, "why did you do that? I was in the middle of a lucid dream." A few moments later, I woke up for real.

    12. A few memorable past dreams.

      Well, now I know a little more about the site I'm gonna stick a few old and memorable ones and end it with last nights, marking the start of hopefully a continued DJ.
      I'm gonna interject in these dreams in black, so black is not part of the dream itself, but afterward reflection.

      This first is from when I was about 4-5 and we had within the past couple years moved to the house I still live in today (aside from the fact I'm in Japan this year). It was a nightmare, I think I had it twice, but I'm not sure. I don't often have nightmares. After this, the last was late last year, when I was 18.

      I'm walking down the corridor of the house. I pass the bathroom, and I pass my eldest brother's room, and my second eldest brother's room. These bedrooms are almost opposite each other, the latter being about meter further down the corridor. I glance into my second eldest brother's room in passing. I note the normal light shade on the hanging light on the ceiling. Later I'm walking the other way up the corridor, I glance in the same room and the shade is replaced by a cage, in the cage is a dummy. Much like the one from goosebumps, this was probably around the time we'd been watching goosebumps on Sundays after going in the pool. Later I'm in my dad's car and we're driving down our driveway, we park on the other side of the road to my driveway. I see the other car coming down the driveway, as it turns onto the road I see the dummy in the back. I try to scream out a warning but I have no voice.

      This second is one that held some significance for some reason, I remember it well, though I think it's only part.

      I come through the tall reeds either side of me and come across a lake. Standing in front of the lake are 2 silver Chinese/Japanese dragons. Fairly small, but long, when standing they're about the same height as me. I'm on the ground face down and one of them runs/flies over me, so close that the scales/feathers brush against me.

      The next was perhaps the scariest nightmare I've ever had, or that I've ever remembered. Fairly recent, around the end of last year, creepy as anything... Though can't see why it was really that scary now.

      I'm walking up stairs, in a museum. I turn to the left and enter a room. In the room are some articles of art, but one catches my eye. It is a wooden seat of abstract design, as though many 1cm thick planks of dark redwood are arranged to make a low rounded and slightly flattened sphere with an indentation to sit in. I sit in it. Opposite me is a triangle, a tall isosceles, white, with an eye in the upper middle. From here I can only remember patches, some man that I can't remember, and a lot of triangles with eyes, though as the dream progressed the became more keyhole shaped. I stress this freaked me out to no end, it was the most scared I've been in my life that I can think of. A friend later suggested that the eye could be the "all seeing eye" or "eye of providence", though I had not come across this image in life before. I had recently been to America though I hadn't consciously noticed it on the dollar bill while there, and was surprised at the resemblance when I took a look at one after the dream.

      I shall now describe last night's dream fragment that I remember.

      I'm standing on a pedestal of some kind on the side of my pool, while my feet are in the water I see a strange snake in the water, I <do some unremembered activity> at it hoping to scare it off, but it comes and nips me on the toe. I sigh and yell as loud as I can "DAD" with little panic in my voice. From somewhere he replies, and I yell back "I got bitten by a snake" or something to that effect. Later I am looking at a website and am relieved to see it wasn't a snake at all, but it was a long fish with a large head and an improbably large jaw full of sharp teeth. This website had nothing to do with me. It can be interesting the way dreams shift and change on you, that fish looked nothing like the snake that bit me, yet I acted as though it were the same, even after I knew that this site (and hence the incident) had nothing to do with me.

      That brings me roughly up to date, I might put more old ones up if I remember them, but I want to concentrate instead on writing them as they come, I remember a lot of old dream fragments and to put them all up would be long...

    13. In the beginning.

      I'm gonna start with an old dream, my oldest dream that I remember, naturally nothing resembling lucidity as I was only about 3 or 4 at the time, I was barely Lucid in real life... It will also lack a lot of detail for as time has gone on I've probably embellished much of it in my head.

      I'm standing at the door of a wooden tree house looking out. In front of me I can see a wide expanse of forest. Coming towards me from a path down the middle is a group of scared children, being chased by a large purple dragon, a little cartoony looking. As the children rush into the tree house, I am invisible and I step to the side of the entrance. The kids run past, and then the dragon. I'm am not seen, and I am relieved.
      It's a short dream, but the fact that it has stayed with me this long I think merits it mention, along with a few other old ones that I may post up later.

      RPG rescue:

      First dream of the night and I can't remember too much of it. I was kidnapped by some evil guy and put in the basement. I somehow escaped and stole three of his daughters. They were really dumb and could not really speak or listen well. It was as if they were dumb npcs. I started to lead them through the jungle to safety but kept getting attacked by monsters. It was as if I was a mix between a rouge and a priest from world of warcraft. I remember getting really frustrated because I would try to vanish and cheap shot the monsters because they could kill the sisters. I kept failing and they kept dieing. After a group of them died I resurrected them. This repeated for a while until I got better at vanish, shadowstep, cheapshot, eviscerate .

      Flying battle:

      This was by far one of the coolest dreams I have had in a while.

      I was flying super fast on the freeway on my way to bellevue. My best friend Michael started to fly by me as soon as I started thinking about him. (that happens alot. Every time I think of something, it happens) I felt his energy was a little off and thought he may not be the real Michael. I remembered a certain thing clarity would say and started whispering to myself - "may I be surrounded and protected by white light" I kept repeating this until finally Michael surrounded himself by black light and tried to attack me with its energy. A brilliant white light burst out of my body and started protecting me against his dark energy. The freeway disappeared and was replaced by black smog. The blackness was surrounding me but my white light was stronger. Eventually I came to a point where see again. I heard evil Michael scream in anger and turn the other way. Finally I made it to downtown belleuve. It looked so real and I suddenly knew this was a dream. I became fully lucid and started to fly around a little. No longer dreaming I noticed how high I was and kinda got scared. Whenever I am really high up in a lucid I get a sinking feeling in my stomach. I started to unstably fly down into the near forest. I felt myself waking up
      Time to DEILD: I laid for about 5-10 min and got nothing. Normally I would be in another dream by now so I just turned over and went back to bed.

      Sonic the movie theater:

      I was in some movie theater playing sonic with Michael. I was some new guy named sun and Michael was sonic. We were battling against each other. My guy was tall, skinny, and red with mini solar flares shooting out of his head. We were running to collect coins. The game ended and I ran out of the movie theater room. The manager asked me to leave several times. I eventually said ok I am leaving.... you FUCKING ASSHOLE. He started laughing and said it was inappropriate and that I needed to leave now.

      Rome:

      I was in Rome walking around. Two girls around 18 came up to me and asked me where something was. I showed them what they were looking for and somehow ended up moving a big tray of pizza to another table and ate with them. They both really liked me and bought lunch for me. I was invited to go with them and their family to some hotel. I slept with both of them and ended up going to dinner with the family. They bought me dinner and we ended up on some couch messing around.

      There was so many more dreams I remember, but only fragments. I forgot to record those and just went back to bed. I briefly remember some sort of lucid dream, but every time I get close to it, I lose it.

    15. #84. Character Creation

      A wizard violates the laws of nature when he creates human beings from scratch. And then there are zombies.

      There's a shabby old farmhouse on the plain, over the crest of the hill. No roads lead to it, because in this time, there are no roads. If there's a hint of civilization in this place, it's what's been carved out of the land by its few inhabitants.



      I knock on the door.

      The door swings open and a middle-aged man with longish black hair answers it, the corners of his eyes crinkling with a smile when he realizes who I am.

      "Amon." I say, "It's been a while."

      He leads me inside, beaming. The inside of the house is bright and warm and filled with people. I notice the eight people in the room, most of whom are cooking and doing various odd jobs around the house. Amon is rushing away to go help with something.

      I take an empty seat beside a kid who looks to be in his mid-20s. "I'm Eli," he says, "and the scary-looking guy across from me is Mark."

      Mark glares menacingly from across the table.

      "So, Eli," I say, "How did you come to be here?"

      "Could ask you the same question." Mark interrupts.

      Eli continues like he hasn't heard him. "I was a civilian consultant for the military back home. It's a long story, but the same thing that pulled all of us back here somehow pulled me in. So really, I'm from the future," he says happily.

      Neat cover story.

      "So, when were you from?" asks Eli.

      "I need to talk to Amon." I say dismissively, and kick my chair back.

      Mark stands up too, his pose threatening. "I don't know who you are," he says, "but you're not one of us. If you try to hurt any of these people, I will kill you."

      I turn back to him, considering. "Duly noted."

      I catch up to Amon outside. He's leaning against the wood siding of the house, staring up into the sky.

      "So," I say, leaning against the wall beside him, "They're self-aware."

      Amon pulls away from the wall a bit, turning to face me. "They are." He confirms. His smile becomes wistful. "Aren't they beautiful?"

      "Your own perfect little creations." I say, frowning. "You know, there's a reason the creation of human life is considered a forbidden art."

      "Those laws don't apply here," says Amon. "And of all people, I thought you would understand why those rules are arbitrary."

      "I care little for conventional morality, Amon," I say, warning in my tone, "But this is dangerous. As my student -"

      "You taught me to choose my own path," says Amon. He gestures at the door. "This is what I've chosen. These are real people, ---." He lowers his voice. "I won't abandon them."

      I can't stop a smile from creeping onto my face.

      One of his creations comes outside to tell us that dinner is ready. The man is smiling and holding a bowl of potatoes and a wooden spoon. I try to ignore it, but I can't help but notice that his hands are shaking.

      ---

      Over dinner, I keep an eye on the man with the potatoes. His name is Darryl, and he's a carpenter from the 1950s. At least, he thinks he is. In reality, he's a construct whose artificial soul is straining at the bonds keeping it in place. I'm surprised the others have lasted so long.

      Eli keeps trying to draw me into the conversation, but I keep one eye on Darryl throughout the meal. He's getting progressively more pale and shaky, I notice, as Eli introduces me to a pretty woman in a dress, called Solara. She's either from an alternate, apocalyptic future or a rich family in the 19th century. I'm not paying much attention.

      Because Darryl is stumbling, backing away from the table into the wall, and as he collapses, a wave of energy pulses outward, knocking over every construct at the table.

      I calmly set down my fork, then stand up and walk over to Amon. "I hate to say I told you so," I tell him, "but it's time to go."

      "No!" says Amon, knocking my hand away. He staggers back to the other end of the room, looking over the scene with horror. "I have to help them."

      "Amon." I say, approaching like I would a wounded animal. "There's nothing you can do. We need to leave before you're affected, too."

      "Yes." he says, eyes wild. "Yes, yes, I can't help them," He looks straight at me. "But you can. You can fix them."

      "No." I say flatly. "This is a bad idea."

      He's already started the process before I can protest further, pulling soul energy from a well deep inside him, gathering it up.

      I can't stop him.

      "Take care of them, ---," he says, struggling to hold together the colourless swirling energy he's holding in his hands. "Please."



      The soul energy hits me at the same time I feel Amon vanish from existence, gone as if he'd never been there. The energy is a rush, but I control it effortlessly, and spin around to confront the automatons that are his legacy.

      The thing that was Darryl comes charging at me, and I telekinetically smash it into the wall next to me. Its feet are dangling in the air as I examine it. Gari d'amon ex hadris, I chant in nonsense Latin. I let the body fall, boneless and broken to the floor.

      Mark is still half-standing, leaning against a chair for support. He's been watching with the glazed look of a man in horrible pain, but he's still somewhat alert.

      I approach him in much the same way I did the zombie, cautious. I nudge him back toward the wall with a tendril of energy, but I don't lift him from the ground or slam him into the wall.

      "This is going to hurt," I warn him.

      Mark nods and lets his head fall back against the wall, eyes closed. So assured, I grip Mark's artificial soul, pulling it into a ball from his chest. I twist my wrist, watching his hands clench into fists, and let trickles of the soul-energy I absorbed from Amon sweep into the artificial soul, strenghthening it.

      I don't have time for anything more elaborate. I push Mark's soul back into his body, forcing it to slice through his veins in one swift motion, sticking it there. If he could get any breath into his lungs, he would be screaming.

      I leave Mark on the floor, stepping over him to the other bodies. This just might work.

      In the end, I only manage to save five of them, Eli and Solara among them. The other two, I simply put down, severing their nervous systems and absorbing the very last of their energies. The once cozy farmhouse feels oppressive, haunted by the wild energy that echoes throughout. We need to leave.
      "You have water?" I ask a woman, whose name I don't know. She nods silently, looking back over the farmhouse.

      "Well?" says Solara, gathering up her skirts and hiking out into the desert, the opposite way I came from. "Let's get going then."

      Amused, I follow after her, followed, in turn, by the rest of the group. Mark stays close behind me, though I doubt it's to watch my back. More likely, he just wants to keep an eye on me.

      Eli jogs to catch up, panting as he keeps pace with me. "So, what happened back there, exactly?"

      "Amon was a necromancer," I say. "He wanted to create life, so he came here. He created you." I keep my eyes on the horizon. "He couldn't sustain himself along with all of you, so he sacrificed the rest of his soul to keep you alive."

      Eli blinks. "Okay, that's completely unbelievable."

      I look back at him and say without inflection, "The wormhole that brought you back in time dosed you with massive amounts of radiation that was going to turn you into zombies."

      "Thank you," says Eli. "Why didn't you just say that the first time?"

      Eli tries to catch up to Solara. I turn back to Mark and shrug. What can you do?

      I could swear I almost see Mark crack a smile.

      ---

      The next hill brings us the view of a tall, white-panelled manor not too far off. I wonder what could have made it; we're supposed to be in a universe devoid of all sentient life, after all. The rest of the party is just relieved to see a trace of civilization, so I suppose that it's worth the risk.

      We trek up the gravel road (another oddity) to the house that shouldn't be there. Eli and Solara are running inside before Mark and I have a chance to check it out - which Mark isn't happy about. We meet them inside. Solara is twirling in circles over the hardwood floor, a smile on her face as she admires the high ceilings.

      I'm trying to examine my surroundings on a deeper level, but something is blocking my senses. This place might seem like heaven to Solara, but something is very wrong.

      Mark's dividing us into teams. He wants Eli and Solara to stick together on the main floor, watching for any signs of life (anything to keep those two out of trouble). He sends the two nameless constructs - people - off to explore the rest of the main floor while the two of us head upstairs.

      "If I didn't know better, I'd say you didn't trust me with the others." I say in a low voice, out of earshot from the rest of the group.

      "I don't!" says Mark, turning around to face me on the stairs. I calculate a four foot height advantage. "You show up and suddenly, four of us are dead! What the hell do you expect?"

      "If I hadn't shown up when I did, all of you would have been dead." I say, meeting his angry gaze.

      "Do you remember what I told you, earlier?"

      I tilt my head, walk up the last few steps until I'm standing far too close. "You said you'd kill me." I smile, and Mark takes a step back. "Would you like to try?"

      We hear a scream from the main floor. Mark is rushing down the stairs toward the sound, shouting "Solara", and I follow behind at a more modest pace.

      Solara has collapsed on the floor. Eli is backed up against the counter, faced by a wraith-like creature with rotting skin. Eerie green light seems to flow from its features, making the sunlight streaming in the windows seem colder somehow. Its flowing white dress seems to flutter in a non-existant breeze.

      Revenant, my mind supplies me with, as it turns to face Mark. Controls illusions, typically feeds on travellers. It hasn't noticed me yet.

      "Do you like my home?" the revenant asks Mark. He starts forward, but it reforms into the shape of a Chinese woman with long dark hair and modern clothing. It's someone he seems to recognize, and he freezes on the spot.

      The revenant approaches him, raising one hand to his face -

      I attack with a right hook to her jaw. I spin and lash out with a kick. I've left myself open. The revenent strikes with her claws, tearing my throat out. I laugh, the liquid splashing my clothes, and continue to strike at her.

      Hang on, that's not fair.

      What isn't? It's right on my character sheet; I'm immortal.

      You should at least need some time to recuperate.

      Nope.

      Oh, come on, you get banished to the basement...


      I take a moment to adjust to my new surroundings, dark and damp and distinctly underground. I'm in the cellar. I curse revenants in general to hell and back, but I'm not too terribly concerned with the constructs, either. Mark should be able to handle himself for a little while.

      I take stock of the food in the basement, a lot of cereal and a working freezer - hey, Neapolitan ice cream. The others will be happy about that. The overhead light starts to flicker and I sigh. I see movement in the corner of the room, feel hairs raising on the back of my neck.

      I spin around and catch the revenant by the throat. She's flickering back and forth between her wraith image and her human one, and I force her to the ground, crushing her windpipe. She claws uselessly at my arms, but it's too late, I've got too good of a grip on her. Unfortunately, revenants don't need to breathe, either.

      There's a short flight of steps leading back to the kitchen, and I drag her up by the throat, letting her white dress drag over the dusty steps. I step into the kitchen, where the five survivors are standing around in a circle, trying to figure out what to do next.

      Mark looks up first. "We thought you were dead." He accuses.

      "I don't die." I say.

      I throw the revenant onto the floor, where she scrambles back along the tile, surrounded by six very non-human travellers. "Now," I say, tilting my head to the side and smiling down at her, "How do we go about killing you?"

      Character Creation. Scare Factor: 3.

      There, I'm done. Finally.
