    1. Lucid, back garden antics.

      by , 11-19-2011 at 02:36 PM
I wake up in my bed, decide to nose plug RC I can breathe!
I get up out of bed, walk out of my room, its still really dark, I float down the stairs, my dad is slumped at the bottom, against my front-door. He mumbles something to me as i pass him, i ignore him and carry on.

I walk through my living room to the doors that lead to my garden, when i reach them i start punching the glass in the door, it doesn't break and i can feel my hand connect, i try again, harder and harder but still nothing happens. I give up and just open the door to walk outside, its light out now, i walk down the patio section and try to fly, i manage to float a few metres forward but thats all. I'm determined to fly so i start jumping hoping that i will get higher and higher, but i don't. I decide i want a fight and see my mother appear from my bedroom window at the top of the house. She looks stern and angry (which is just NOT like her) She throws a small brownish like box at me from the window, i raise my hand and stop the box in mid-air with TK and send it flying back at her. She disappears from the window so i try to bring the entire side of the house down with TK, i manage to make it shake and dust and steam flies out of the top but other than that, nothing happens. My mum comes out of the double doors that i just used and steps onto the patio, sword in hand. I need to find a weapon and reach into my pockets, after a few seconds of feeling around i can feel a sword-hilt, i take it out. The sword is very small, but its all i got.

We start to fight with the swords, faster and faster, until they are just a blur and i wonder how i can keep up with this. Then i start to hear noises, screams and shouts, from a few gardens down, they don't sound bad, they sound like a few people having fun. "enough of this, i want to go over there, it sounds like fun" my mum walks back inside while i walk to the end of my garden, listening to the noises.

I wake up in my bed, but its outside in my garden, its daytime and i get up and walk towards my house, on the way i find a huge sword, laying on the grass but cant make sense of it.

      I wake up for real.

    2. Donkey Konga / Strange House

      by , 11-19-2011 at 02:00 PM (Taffy's Sweet Dreams)
I was at my cousin's house playing Donkey Konga with my brother. We played a few rounds and one of the songs was Night of Knights. Then my brother suggested unlocking the special shop mode. We did this by removing the disk and putting Mario sunshine in while the game was still on. Then the screen changed and we had to catch donkey kong to unlock it. The things in the shop were really lame, and some were real life prizes. One was a night light that looked like a whoopie cushion, but you had to light it with fire for it to work.

I was in a weird house with some old lady and my mom. I wanted to take a look downstairs, but I had a feeling something was down there. I think I went anyway, and the old lady came down and grabbed me. I was then forced to live in the house by myself. After someone else came to stay in the house with me, I can't remember who it was. We were going to be let free after the old lady came back fom vacation.

    3. Game induced lucid dream

      by , 11-19-2011 at 01:46 PM
This dream was about 2 hours into my sleep, so it was pretty short, I was In battlefield 3, and my teamates and i are on top of a roof, theres abunch of helicopters etc. chasing us. One of the helicopters misses us and goes down into the water, at this point, things started getting wierd, and all my teamates were gone with the exception of one. He wanted to prove that he could fly the bike by himself, as there was a parked non-motor bicycle on the roof with us but he failed and left. I take the bike and start to pedal really fast and let myself gently off the roof, I started gliding down and in the next moment, I was in my neighbourhood gliding gently down on a bike, at this point I questioned the dream and thought "If I'm doing this with a bike, I don;t need it, I can just fly, I'm dreaming!! So I reach the ground and stabilize as well as reality check, I look around the neighbourhood and the dream wasn't super clear or stabilized, but I started running towards my school, and I see a guy jogging down the street and I yell at him, and start to fly but I only get a couple feet in the air, and the dream ended but I stayed still to DEILD but either it didn't work or I fell back into a non-lucid (pretty sure its the first one, cuz this was only 2 hours into my sleep)

    4. The Llama-snake

      by , 11-19-2011 at 06:58 AM
      7/7/2011
      I'm at my old house.

It's daytime. I see a llama or something through the storm door. It looks dead, and there are baby ones mewling nearby. But then the llama-thing gets up and makes itself look like a giant cobra, hissing at the nearby real cobra. The real cobra tries to slither under the door, but I chop off its head.

It's nighttime. I'm fiddling with decorations. They are the painted glass ornament kind. My mom made stew. There is too much, and she is struggling to put it all away. My dad helps.

I'm trying to back the van down the driveway, but the brakes aren't working. I barely manage to avoid hitting the car in the driveway on the other side of the street by switching gears to reverse (forward?) and stepping on the gas. Two kids I knew from my church when I was in high school are on the other side of the street, wanting to try that out with their car. I ask to see some license, and wow, they actually are that old. They try it out.

I'm watching through the window. Several cars are coming and going. They go to/through the neighbor's backyard. My brother M leaves in a car and no one else notices.

    5. Befriending the Wolf

      by , 11-19-2011 at 06:47 AM
      7/6/2011
I am in a small class of 6 or 8 people. We are working on projects in groups of 2 or 3. I am taken by surprise when I find out we have to do presentations. My teammates do the whole thing while I sit at the table.

There are two quality guitars in the foyer.

I am looking for a rock in the backyard. I hear growling. It's a wolf. I make friends with him by feeding him sunflower m&m's. That seems so wrong.

I remember waking from the dream, remembering it, and then putting myself back in the dream while remembering it's a dream. I don't remember anything more than that. That's so confusing. Did I even wake up at all?

    6. Hiking and Politics

      by , 11-19-2011 at 06:40 AM
      7/5/2011
I am doing a lot of hiking, exploring back trails. There are so many beautiful trees. Someone is dead. There's a grave dug at the end of a trail or cave. It's been exhumed. I am angry and trying to fix things.

I am a king or mayor type and talk with another king type. I don't remember the words.

There is a fortress in a rock pillar/mesa type thing. We are defending against invasion.

I put a leash on a baby dragon to take him along the trails.

I am at some sort of tourism office talking about hiking.
    7. The Final Boss is Weak Against Lilac

      by , 11-19-2011 at 06:33 AM
      7/4/2011
I'm controlling four protagonists in a video game. I'm searching through a dungeon to find items, which I find. The final boss appears. I panic and realize I've forgotten the controls. I wing it. The boss has four weaknesses. I must decipher each. They're written in code, and the game won't pause so I can look it up. The first one is lilac. I'm running and dodging through rocks, now through a theater. I find a lilac bomb and use it. Now I have to figure out the second weakness.

I have a false awakening and am working on trying to remember my dream. Then I actually wake up. But I fall back asleep. Er. Probably.

I'm in the garage of my old house, fetching something from the freezer. My mom wants tomato. I cut one up for her, but she isn't happy with it. Something about cutting onions and video games. The way M's mom cuts onions is weird, and I shouldn't do it that way.
    8. I love these kinds of dreams, and there's only one kind that's better

      by , 11-19-2011 at 03:13 AM
"These kinds" of dreams are ones where I, for some reason, fall under the effects of SP in the dream, which wakes me up. I think they're stupendously cool. The kind that's better is a lucid dream (almost there!).

So, last night's dream was cool. I dreamt that I either was the Doctor from Doctor Who, or that I was the Doctor's companion. I think it's the second one, because I'm always me in my dreams, and because I remember looking at the Doctor.
So the majority of it is hazy, but it involves aliens (of course) and other really cool shit, including my own sonic screwdriver. The part that I remember was the really cool part. I don't remember the plot behind it, but I do know that I started feeling sleep paralysis in-dream. Something hit me and I fell over into a fetal-position-esque position on the floor. I couldn't move and my shoulder ached (as it does irl as I've been working out). I kinda had my knees up to my stomach with my arms wrapped around me and like in between my legs (hard to describe position). I couldn't move and I remember the Doctor running up to me and then I woke up in the same position.

This seems to happen semi-often in my dreams. Not too long ago, for example, I had a dream where I was with the Joker and the Harlequinnest, and we went to the roof of some skyscraper to go to a helicopter landing pad, and when we got to the top, I fell over and was paralyzed. Before that, I had a dream where I was walking down some hallway, and there was a weird clock on the ceiling. I know it was a clock, but it was shaped like a face. I looked into it's eyes and fell over and was like absorbed into them. It was a spinning, red void thing, and though I could feel my body, I couldn't move. Pretty scary.

      Headless (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

A vivid segment from last night which I had to share. My recall has evaporated recently, probably due to early mornings and late nights, but I still get the occasional gem.

I was looking in the bathroom mirror in my old house, examining my mousatche which I was growing for Movember. It was a big handlebar bastard and I was very pleased with it. I had a moment where I blacked out, and when I came around I saw that my face had a slit in it. There were two red lines going out horizontally from the corners of my mouth. I followed them with my hand round the back of my head. They met at the other side. It was then that I realised it was a clean cut through my skull. I don't really know what came over me, but I then lifted the upper segment of my head off my jaw. It came away with a squelch. There was a bit of oozing, but not much blood.

I "looked" at my head. My sense of sight still came from where my head should have been, but when I reached up to feel around, there was nothing there. It occured to me, in the strange state of mind that I was in, that I was running a very serious risk of death here. I reasoned that having disconnected my brain from the rest of my body, it was not getting any blood, and hence, oxygen. I was running the risk of a bad ischemic stroke at the very least. Whilst thinking about oxygen in the blood, I felt my breathing become a bit laboured. "No wonder," I thought. "I don't even have a proper mouth to breathe through. I wondered just how well I would be able to think without a brain. Small multiplication proved difficult, and even counting by tapping on the windowsill was a chore. I suspected that lack of brain was impacting on my motor skills as well. With that, I planted my skull back on top of my neck and jaw. I looked back in the mirror to see that it had attached itself well to the flesh of my jaw and lower cheeks. In fact, it looked like it was healing already. My brother came into the room and said something to me. I mumbled something in reply, not wanting to move my mouth in such a way that would disrupt the healing.

Never once did I think of reality-checking during this episode.

    10. The Mirror

by , 11-19-2011 at 01:21 AM (The Absurd Adventures of CWHunt)
Alright, lets get this out of the way. I have Catoptrophobia. I can't say that it is incredibly bad, but I get really paranoid around mirrors. Especially in a dark area. I don't think I will ever get over it. Oh well, its not a huge deal. I'll just make sure my room never has a mirror in it.

The dream began with my friends at some campground. It was around a ocean, and we needed to go to Walmart to get some food for dinner. We returned later and we decide to take a nap. I end up falling asleep and waking up in my loft.
Odd... I don't sleep in my loft. At least, not since I had my Exploding Head Syndrome incident. Too creepy.
I did a reality check and discovered I was dreaming. It was a very vivid dream. The only somewhat blurry area was the top of my view. Thats when I noticed something in front of me. A mirror. I was terrified.
In real life I become incredibly paranoid and imagine the worst possible thing that could happen. I expect someone behind me.
I quickly tried to fling it away, but it didn't work. I knew if I thought of the worst, it would happen. Suddenly the thought hit my head, "Is someone behind me?"
A face appeared behind me in the mirror. I checked and it wasn't there. I began to freak out. I didn't want to be lucid anymore. The mirror grew larger and my reflection walked towards me. It was getting larger. It then hit me, I would wake myself up somehow. I thought quickly, closed my eyes, and screamed as loud as I possibly could. The scream was the loudest thing I have ever heard. It almost hurt my ears even though it wasn't a real sound. I felt the pain.

I then woke up in my bed.

Sorta freaked me out about lucid dreaming. And overcoming this fear isn't simply, getting over it. Its a phobia. Its almost impossible to cure. Oh well, the lucid dreaming will go on I guess...

    12. Am I dreaming? No.

by , 11-18-2011 at 08:31 PM (Various adventures of WK)
I feel like there was more o the dream but I can only remember the bus ride

I was riding on the bus talking to my friend. The conversation soon turned to dreaming, and as he often does, he asked me if I was dreaming.

"My head is foggy and my thoughts aren't very clear, but everything seems stable enough. I may just be tired." Even though I was kinda skeptical I decided to do a reality check because I still felt there was a good chance that I was dreaming. I reached up and pinched my nose and tried to breathe.

"Can you breathe?" my friend asked.

"No," I said as I released my nose and filled my lungs with air.Not satisfied with only a single check, I tried to push my finger through my palm because it was something I had read on Dreamviews. My finger didn't go through and I felt a dull pain in my palm.

"I still feel fuzzy but this seems to be real." I let my head drop against the window and stared out. A large truck pulled p next to the bus and I noticed a small digital clock on the side. I glanced at the clock and then looked away not thinking much about it. I remembered what I read about digital clocks and not being stable and I looked back at it. The numbers seemed to read all 0's and seemed to squiggle a bit. I stared at the clock focusing until it read 8:01. I looked away and then looked back and the time was still the same. I attributed the initial unfocused reading to being tired, because I did feel tired, and I just stopped thinking about dreams.

It was only after my alarm went off at 5:00that I realized that I was in fact dreaming.

    13. Interrupted adventures

      by , 11-18-2011 at 07:53 PM
      - I was back in Toronto with N (went last week), and we were heading to the hotel we stayed at. When we got there though, there was some sort of event going on, and it cost $12 to get in. It didn't look anything like it really does. There was a lineup in front of a white booth where you paid this woman to get in.

We got up there and learned the woman was the new owner. She said it was going to be $12, and I asked if that was for each of us or for both, but she didn't answer. I realized I only had a 10 so I asked N if I could borrow the rest (lol as usual). As we were talking I set my backpack on the floor and tried to give the woman my $10, but she refused to accept it. I asked why, but she was just making strange gestures and I couldn't understand. Then N said "we can't go in, your backpack is too dirty." I looked down and there was a bit of greyish dirt on top of my backpack. I thought this was ridiculous but we had to leave.

Once we got out, N told me there was another way into the building. We went around the back and found the room we had stayed in, then climbed up the wall and into a space between the top of the wall and the roof, which led directly into the room. We emerged into the room and I looked down. We were really high up and I was afraid to jump down. N assured me it was fine and jumped right down onto the rolling desk chair right below us which was somehow okay. I was still scared but managed to find a way to hang down from the ledge and slowly climb down.

We both ended up on the floor between the bed and the fireplace, and there were a bunch of grocery bags full of snacks around us that I knew were ours somehow but we hadn't brought. There were lots of empty bottles and cartons on the mantle that looked exactly like the ones we'd left there for a while, lol. There was also a small bottle of makeup remover there, and I found a ziploc bag containing three travel sized fancy skincare products. I wanted to take them but I didn't know whose they were.

We found it funny that we actually made it, and I quickly got up and locked the door, but I was a bit loud. The door was a bit further forward than it really is. I sat back down, but suddenly we heard the owner lady outside the door. We started talking loudly in different voices so she would think there were guests inside and not come in. After a minute I realized N was talking about us smoking, and I was like 'wait dude you probably shouldn't say that'. The woman stopped outside our door and said something like, 'oh, those are cute voices you're using!' and I heard keys. We were like 'shit' and started trying to figure out a plan that also involved bringing all our snacks. Then I heard the door open, and...I woke up to my mom opening my door. :|

      - I went back to sleep after, thinking about the dream, but instead ended up in another one at my grandmother's house with N. I was in the living room and I knew he was in the playroom. There were a bunch of older people around but I didn't recognize any of them. I was trying to get some snacks because we had discovered that in the back of the playroom closet, there was a door with stairs that led to part of a massive secret underground lair/community of some sort, and we were going to go explore it.

In front of the living room window there were all these bags of food, but I felt awkward taking it since it wasn't mine. Most of the bags were empty, but I grabbed a bag of what I thought were mini Coffee Crisps. I squished the bag a bit and it felt like something all crushed up was inside, but I took it anyway. As I went to the playroom, this blond hippie looking dude with dreads and round glasses who for some reason I knew was 19 followed me. He was all 'heyyy where are you going? who's that?' and we were trying to get away. I got there and opened the bag of coffee crisp, but it was full of tiny gravel. :| Explains the texture.

So I went back to the living room with it, and realized when I got there that there was a hole in the bottom and it was trailing bits of gravel. One of the people got mad at me, but I was like 'it wasn't my fault!' I grabbed a handful of ruffled bbq chips from a bag and went back again. The hippie dude followed me in exactly the same way. When I got there I said "this is all I could find" and held out the handful of chips, and N took them all and ate them immediately. We were just about to finally head downstairs when I woke up. What a waste of time getting snacks lol.

      - Also this was from earlier but I forgot about it so I'm putting it here. I was at someone's house and I left a bag of weed next to the fridge. I dunno what we were doing but there was this weird floating worm creature, possibly on a skateboard and wearing glasses, that everyone was just treating normally but was slightly annoyed by. Then it told my mom I smoked weed. I was like 'wtf what did you do that for' and it was like 'lol'. My mom was like 'we need to have a talk when we get home', but we eventually went home and there was no talk, so everything seemed fine.

These dreams had so much potential but just ended up being boring lol
    14. dreams are getting back to normal!

      by , 11-18-2011 at 06:56 PM (Floatinghead's dream adventures)
dream 1 - I am back in Korea with my old friend on a tour bus. we go to a restaurant and my brother and I confronts 4-5 American gangs? at the entrance... or some gloomy place. I try to avoid them smiling, and saying 'hey woah woah.. lets be all friends!' but they try to fight with us... anyway we get into the restaurant and sit besides the table. I see big white plates.

false awakening: in the morning my brother and I talk about those American gangs in dream with our mom. I think that my brother and I had shared dream.

false awakening: I dont know when I dreamt this but I am doing the internet pming Katsuno on DV in the morning..

dream 2 - I am in typical American village. its warm summer. next to me, there's a man who's an animation/ film director.(Brad Bird?) we are observing the backgrounds to get inspired for filming. I am holding a digital camera to film the houses. the village is really beautiful and sort of fairy. the director says 'isnt it nice to recall 1960's?' and then we go to a lake along the houses. I walk closely on the shore, but I'm scared of falling into the water so I shout 'somebody lend me a hand!' above the ground.(there is a little cliff next to me and there are bunch of people up there, maybe partying?) a man grabs my hand and I go up. the man looks like he's in ill. sunddenly that man slips my hand and I fall into the lake. I am puzzled. the water is deep. I float on the surface of the water and the man grabs my hand again. I acted as if this was okay..

I was at school. I had walked into class late. I knew somehow that I had just been in a meeting with the guidance councillor. I then realized I had walked into class without the guidance slip. I told the teacher I had forgotten to get one but I could go get it. I think the teacher was Mr. C.; he nodded and let me go get the slip.
