    1. Crunchy, Juicy Banana Grapes

      by , 09-15-2017 at 04:37 AM
(Dream is entirely NON-LUCID) It started with me waking up in an apartment. Some walls were red and the carpet was black. The overall setup of the room was weird. I then set off on some long walks to go gather parts for a vape. (This is something i rarely think about.. huh.) I went to one store for the battery piece, another for the atomizer, and one more place for the juice. All the stores looked like your average run-down corner store. Then me and my girlfriend went to a forest, which also had some trailers and an in-ground swimming pool. I took some hits off the vape, (tasted a bit like candy strawberry) and then we went for a ride. The vehicle (which i had no idea what it was, might have been a horse carriage) took us to White Rock (a place close to where i live), but the weird thing is it was some weird chinatown remake of White Rock. The stores were very strange. One store was selling nothing but avocados and limes, and the other was an entirely pepsi-themed store. We drove down the rode for a few more seconds and walked into a semi-dark building with deep blue arcade style carpets and random stuff all over the inside. Some guy handed us these yellow grapes, still on their stem of the same color. The grapes weren't really attached to the stem, they were more so a part of it. The whole thing, grapes and stem, looked like one stiff object. I ate a few of the odd grapes and they were REALLY crunchy and juicy. They tasted like really old juicy bananas. They were really gross but i kept eating them anyways. The dream ends with us walking up some stairs, eating them more and more.
    2. Tasks of the Month: Taste in Mouth/Stretching arms

      by , 05-11-2016 at 10:43 PM
I completed two Tasks of the Month last night. My lucid moment was tucked in the middle of a bunch of other dreams and I don't remember what exactly lead up to lucidity or how it faded.

I do remember that I was lucid and wanting to do the Tasks. I thought of the one to taste in my mouth whatever I had eaten last. At first I didn't think I could do this since I didn't remember eating anything in the dream. But I tried anyway. I worked my tongue around in my mouth until I noticed that I had some crackers in my mouth...mostly in my teeth, as if I had just chewed one up and swallowed most of it. It tasted like a butter cracker, and what was left was kind of smooth and slippery.

Then I decided to do the other task which was to stretch your arms and seeing how far they could reach. I noticed I was on a road or alley. I could see walls on either side of the road. They were about 20 (or more) feet apart. I figured this would work nicely. I started with my right arm I reached out toward the wall. Since I had never tired this before I wasn't sure how easy or hard this would be. I just concentrated in my hand touching the wall. I could see it getting closer until finally I could feel the wall. I pressed my hand against the wall and then held out my left hand. I did the same thing, focusing on my hand touching the other wall. It didn't take long until that hand was pressed up against the wall as well.

It didn't really feel like I was stretching, but I could see both hands on the walls that were 20 or so feet apart. So I had accomplished the task. It was cool to know that I had the ability to do that.

    3. Last Month's Tasks of the Month

      by , 05-11-2016 at 10:40 PM
I've gotten a little behind again. I've been having some pretty interesting dreams, but I haven't written most of them down, so they are pretty much gone now.

I do remember a lucid dream I had a few days ago. I did two of the Tasks of the Month...from last month. I hadn't gotten on and read the new tasks yet, so in my mind I was still thinking of the tasks I never completed last month.

      Dream:

I don't remember what I was doing. I may have been flying or standing on something high. I suddenly knew I was dreaming so I swooped down flying and immediately thought about completing the tasks of the month that I had been wanting to do, which were to drain the color out of something and to eat something inedible.

I landed next to a table that reminded me a little of my dad's model train table when I was little. I saw a lot of plastic items on the table. I wasn't sure what they were, but that didn't matter--I was going to drain their color. I started by focusing on this smooth rounds red thing. In just a few seconds it had faded to grey. I had known this would be easy.

I then focused on a yellow item. Then blue. Each time willing them to lose their color. I was satisfied by that point.

I then decided to look for something inedible to eat. I saw a small empty soda can, the kind that is about half as tall as the regular ones. I stuffed the whole thing in my mouth. I was glad it was not the full sized can. It took some work to crush it with my teeth. I got it condensed down quite flat...as if I had stepped on it. I kept chewing. I wondered if it would ever get small enough for me to swallow it. I was pretty sure that was required to be able to count it.

At this point I noticed the dream fading. I couldn't let that happen. I'm not sure what I did but the dream came back. I still had the can in my mouth. I continued to chew. I was happy to notice that is was finally dissolving. I felt the metal pieces in my mouth get smaller and smaller until they were gone.

I may have been talking to someone next. I think I was telling them how I am good at changing things in my dreams. I had out my left arm. I said that I would make it big. I watched it grow until it was cartoonishly large. Next I made it skinny until it almost looked like a stick figure arm.

I felt satisfied at my accomplishments.

      And that's all I remember.
    4. LD: Authors and Space Battles

      by , 02-24-2016 at 06:30 PM
Lucid dreams three days in a row. I'm on a roll. I love it.

I did a Wake Back to Bed. The beginning of the dream is fuzzy. I can't remember the moment I became lucid. I remember standing in the kitchen of an author (one I had recently been reading about in real life). He was an older man but still very nice looking. I knew I was dreaming at this point so I went up to him and started to kiss him. He seemed very happy to kiss me back. The next thing I know is we are in his bedroom. He is partly undressed and climbing into bed. I look around and see his wife's stuff all around me, on the nightstand, floor, on the bed. Even though I knew this was a dream this suddenly felt completely wrong. I wanted nothing to do with this. I needed to leave.

But since I did know this was a dream I decided to be creative about it. I went back out into the living room. There were helium balloons all around from a party for one of his kids. I grabbed a large bunch of them, holding them by the strings. I went back into the bedroom and told the author to follow me out to the front yard. We both walked out of the house and into the yard. I then told him I needed to leave. And at that point I let the balloons start carrying me up into the air. He looked at me sadly as I left, saying nothing. I floated higher and higher.

I suddenly came to the edge or top of a large dome. I "remembered" that this city was under a dome, that it was a protection from something out in the world. (I think I was a little less lucid now--at least I was letting a new story line pull me in.) I wanted to see what was out there, what this city was being protected from. I floated around looking for a door of some sort. I finally found a door-like opening and exited the dome.

To my surprise a huge space battle was happening right outside the dome (think the first scene of Star Wars III only closer to the land). All kinds of space ships large and small were whizzing by me shooting at each other. I was still clinging to the balloons. I must have been lucid enough to know I couldn't get hurt because I wasn't worried at all. I thought this was amazing to witness a battle like this so close up. The "graphics" were incredible (thank you mind). I watched this happening all around me for a while before deciding to land and see what was happening on the ground.

I found myself in a building. People that I knew were "enemies" were all around me. I no longer had the balloons but I knew I could still float, and I also made myself invisible. I hovered near the fairly low ceiling. At some point someone figured out that I was there and for the next 15-20 minutes or more (that's what it felt like) I was moving from place to place in the building trying to avoid capture. I was never really worried, but found this rather exciting. I knew that they couldn't catch me, or if they did it wouldn't be bad. At one point I remember finding a room with a baby. I woke up the baby and had to put it back to sleep. I also found myself in a kids room with a lot of bunk beds.

      And that's all I remember.

Although I do remember a scene that I have no idea where it fits in. At one point when I was quite lucid I remember looking for something to eat. I went out from a house into a backyard and found a fruit tree. This tree had strange fruit on it. They were large and green. I picked one and found that the rind was very tough. The one I picked had split open, though, so I could easily pull the rind back and get to the fruit. It was white and soft and creamy--almost like a banana that's been put in a blender. It was very sweet and tasted a bit like a vanilla milkshake, but not as cold. I sucked it out, not having to chew it at all. It was quite good.
    5. #86: Party! / Ex / Peanut butter mint & wetness

      by , 02-05-2016 at 07:57 AM
      Party!
I'm at a public party which is quite crowded. I'm standing at the bar with quite some other people. The MC asks the public if we should allow an audience member to rap. I shout yes. Now he passes me a mic and wants me to do it. What? No way man. He says he just asked who wanted to rap. I tell him that I thought he asked if he should let someone rap, not who wants to rap. He's still trying to make me do it. I feel pressured, but I'm not doing it.

The mc for the party is now a woman. She mentions a few times how we're now on Bali and the island just over there, which is also part of the party, is Java. Or perhaps the other way around. The party is coming to a close. As a way to drag it out she has someone/us throw a lot of fog or something alike into the air, so that both sections of the party are united within it and we can continue partying just a little bit longer. Somewhere in the distance I can see a historical building. A big, roman/greek style city hall or something. The colours of the light surrounding it are beautiful.

      Ex
I'm on a big public square. I'm with my cousin, but he disappears off to somewhere. I run into my first ex-girlfriend. She jokingly makes a shitty comment. I take her bicycle and jokingly threaten to lift it over the poles and chains which are forming a barrier to the canals. She panicks and apologises. We walk back again. She comments on how easily I lifted her bike up. I tell her it's no biggie. I lift her bike with just my right arm. I purposefully use my right arm cause that is my stronger arm. I'm glad I chose to do so, cause feeling the weight of the bicycle, I think it would've been a bit challenging to lift it with my left arm. She seems impressed by my strength and I'm liking the attention. We end up back somewhere on the middle of the square with her boyfriend. We start walking off the square. Once we're off it, they start walking in another direction. Ow yeah, he lives in Amsterdam, so they're staying quite close. Lucky them. I go back to find my cousin.

      Peanut butter mint & wetness
I'm walking around somewhere. A conversation that I had with a friend is still playing in my head, though so vividly that it almost seems like I'm having the conversation right now. He keeps asking me customs related stuff and what would happened if they would question a mutual friend of ours who he is apparently involved with and who isn't very bright. After a while I tell him that I don't have a clue, as I never have to deal with customs. I'm slightly annoyed. I'm walking around a building which is quite modern. I am myself about to get on an airplane to wherever. I stop somewhere near a gate, though I know it isn't the gate that I need to go to. I just want to eat for a moment. I take my big black & orange backpack and take some bread out of it. The flavour is a combination of peanutbutter and mint. A guy who doesn't really seem to do security, but does have some position of authority, tells me that I'm not allowed to eat here. I apologise and move to an area a bit further back. He tells me that in this area it's also not allowed and he tells me where I am allowed to eat. At one point he mentions that this isn't a fucking cafeteria. I feel slightly offended by his choice of words. I was cooperating fully, so I don't feel I deserved that lashing out.

I'm somewhere semi-outside. There's still a roof over this area, but it's not really inside. It's a sort of foodcourt area, though all I see are the benches and tables. So many places are taken. I sit down at perhaps 2 different spots, but every time it was already taken and someone had just stood up for a moment. Finally I decide to go to a chair/bench which is covered in water. I wipe the water away with the sleeve from my vest/jacket/something and I sit down. I feel the cold wetness of the water.
    6. double crossing dreamlets worm there way in

      by , 11-03-2015 at 06:51 PM
Dl1 - Driving around the neighborhood, indistinct local roads, all very grey. Collide with other car driver (old ds). Agree to give him some more and pull out wad of cash. But trick him, the money is not to fix his car but to pay for him to do some work for me.
He has to write a long essay for me.

Dl2 - In an office, im given a form that has been filled out. I must change the form as its all filled out incorrectly: wrong address, lots missing. I fill out some details then ring firm to check they have not acted on application yet. It's ok there is still time to change the details before they go live on their system. The application is fraudulent, all the needed information is taken from random spurious sources.

Dl3 - A country had been invaded by someone. I can see a kind of zoomed out view of the country with the natives highlighted black and the invading army highlighted in red.
It shows there are far more invaders that native peoples and where highest concentrations are.
I am standing on a hillside (zoomed out) overlooking the shores of the other country and far off towns, undersiege. I need to save the country. I abseil down cliffs to the beach below. There are some caves below the chalk cliffs.
A bearded man asks if I want to buy some vials of earth. The earth is in different colours and is good for your health. I buy some and taste it, it's disgusting.

He then sells me a selection of balloon like worms of different colours. I take one out and it crawls/slides onto my face. This one is whitish in colour, looks a bit like intestines. Every hair on my body stands up as it crawls over my lips and feeds on me. I try to move it away and it goes onto my neck. I scream inwardly Aaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Dl4 - I go across the sea and again see a zoomed out view of all the important towns and roads. I choose to land away from the main towns where the land slopes down. I travel through some weird stick forest, where the trees are like giant twigs. I manage to get through without being spotted.
Again, I see zoomed out view of towns on hillside. I set fire to a giant CD, shiny silver and roll it at town at bottom of the hill. It sets fire to the town and a chain reaction is set in motion as town after town is set ablaze.
The main towns do not realise until it is to late and the battle is won.
The leaders of the opposing army are brought to meet with the other sides leaders.
All seems victorious until a knight of the other sides army grabs a gigantic sword, claymore and proceeds to cut everyones heads off in one swing. Leading to a sudden reversal of fortunes.

The bit with the worms were too vivid and bit with the earth was the first time I recall tasting anything in a dream...I think.

    7. Short note on taste

      by , 09-28-2015 at 10:58 PM
Generally food while lucid tastes pretty bland for me, but tonight's managed to produce realistic raspberry, lemon, and salt flavors. That hadn't been a particular goal; but I wound up in a kitchen with bite-sized pastries and salted nuts around and was trying to figure out what they tasted like, thinking about how poor my sense of taste tends to be in lucid dreams, and then found the flavors became stronger when I had another. I thought of it as needing to train the tongue, or the mental sense of a tongue anyway.

      #457 - DILD - 3:02AM

My recall was pretty poor, but I managed to remember one of the two from last night.

I am at work eating some muffins that someone brought. I guess I remember that I was trying to get lucid because I suddenly become lucid without any real reason. The dream goes dark, but I already have a bite of muffin in my mouth. I notice the chocolate chips and just focus on the taste and the act of eating. As I wait, someone starts talking to me in the bardo (void) and I respond something random before I wake up.

The other LD I wont count because all I can recall is noticing an FA and doing a nose plug, then getting out of bed. I remember being way to tired to try to recall and record and end up trying to record in a dream. I wake again and decide that I am just too tired to care.

I remember another super vivid non lucid dream about Wurlman. I go visit him in his house in the middle of a field. I look around and only see treeless farm in all directions. My wife and I are drinking with Wurlman and his wife and having a good time. I need to pee and for some reason do it outside next to my car. As soon as I start peeing all these random people show up and I have to make extra efforts to hide myself. People bring more beer and pizza and I join in but I can't get over the fact that P.P. is there. I don't like this guy and I don't understand why Wurlman invited him. I keep trying to ask Wurlman about this, but everything is too crazy and chaotic to be able to have a conversation until I wake up.

      by , 07-12-2015 at 04:08 PM
-seeing myself in a mirror with short hair like a few years ago, drinking dr.pepper while wearing my dr.pepper shirt; start to notice hair poking out above my shorts and I take off my shirt to find that my chest and belly are covered in thick, brown hair. I'm distraught, realizing I have more hair than most men. I can't freaking believe I didn't get lucid from this.. wtf lol

-hanging out at my house with a group of cool people. I only recognize one, LC. We're all drinking alcohol and there are alcoholic cookies in the fridge. LC is eating a whole lot of them and asks me to get her some more. I end up forgetting about her and eating the rest of the cookies by myself in the kitchen.. lol. The cookies were star-shaped, really soft and sugary with a multicolored pattern and had little smiley faces made of black candy goop. I remember the flavor vividly, which is odd for a non-lucid for me.

    10. LD: Food and Flying

      by , 01-16-2015 at 04:04 AM
      Another older dream.

      7-11-10

      Lucid Dream:

I'm not sure what triggered lucidity, but when I became lucid I was a the dinner table with several people including my sister. I remembered recently reading a post here on Dreamviews about whether you can taste things in dreams. Even though I have eaten in dreams before and tasted food I wanted to put this to the test again and really try to notice.

I picked up a block of cheddar cheese and popped it into my mouth. I remember thinking that I could distinctly taste the cheddar flavor, but it was not as strong as in real life, like it was somehow "muted".

I then decided I wanted to eat cookies. There weren't any on the table so I went to a cupboard and opened it up. Sure enough, there was a plate of cookies. I started stuffing them into my mouth. I was a little disappointed to find that they were store bought, like a chewy Chips Ahoy kind of cookie. I tried to transform them into homemade, and they changed slightly, looking a little more irregular. But they still tasted like store-bought.

I then tried to find a plate of brownies, but I didn't have any luck with that, so I went outside. I thought about the fact that I don't have to "try" to fly. I just think about it and an instant later I am in the sky. I paid close attention to that now. As soon as I walked out the door, I was pulled up into the sky fairly quickly. I slowed to a stop at about three stories up, which is in the range I usually fly at (1-4 stories).
I don't often fly too high. I have to really work at it to get higher than that "normal" range of mine.

    11. Lucid Dream: Pigging Out...again

      by , 05-29-2014 at 02:18 AM
I just remembered another lucid dream. It was actually the same night in Coyote Gulch, so I probably could have included it with the other LD from that night. But since I haven't posted here for a long time I think I will make this a whole new post so I can feel more active on DV.

      LD:

Something (now forgotten) triggered lucidity. I flew around and then landed next to some people who had a plate piled up with cookies and cakes. I decided that this was my chance to be a total pig and eat it all. At first I felt slightly self conscious about the people next to me whose food I was now eating. But I reminded myself that they were not real--just as this food was not real, which was the reason for me eating it in the first place. I picked up huge cookies and pieces of cake and stuffed the whole things into my mouth cramming in as much as I could. It was all fairly soft. As is typical of this sort of dream for me, the food's flavor was less strong than in real life, but I could still taste the sweetness, but it just helped encourage me to stuff even more in, in hopes of tasting it more. I also remember eating chocolate covered pretzels as well.

I know I sound like a huge pig. And I know I do this fairly often in my LDs. But I guess, it is so much better to do this in the privacy of a dream than in real life.

Unfortunately the chocolate covered pretzels made me crave real ones and after we climbed out of the canyon and entered civilization again I bought a package of them. I had earned them, after all, by hiking with a 45 pounds pack for 6 days.

    12. Second dream inspired by the drama Limit

      by , 02-22-2014 at 04:58 PM
      February 22, 2014

      6:15 am
Woke-up remembering scary or mystery themed music from my dream and not remembering much else. Felt like another thought process dream in which I am just thinking, like in real life, but when I wake up forget what I am thinking about. The notes went lowest note - highest note - second lowest note - second highest note repeating again and again. It didn't feel special enough of a tune to go to my computer to record the exact notes, and I don't remember the exact tune anymore.

Got up, brushed teeth and hair. Went back to sleep.

Mantra: 夢を見ています (I am dreaming.) すごい夢を見ています (I am dreaming an awesome dream.) 嬉しい気持ち (happy feelings).

I thought maybe if I did my mantra in Japanese, I would dream in Japanese. I've had dreams in Japanese before.

      7:08 am Haven't fallen asleep.
      7:45 am Still not asleep.
      9:59 am Just woke up.

      3rd Dream - Part 2
Had a dream about Japanese school life (second time since watching the drama Limit). All of my classmates are Japanese, including me. I'm not really in the dream, seeing through a different girl's perspective. We're all at a restaurant. Then the police come to say there's been a murder. My friend, a guy, and I try to run to the back and escape because we're scared, but we end up sitting down at our table with our other friend, a girl. We learn that the murder has been committed by our other friend, who is often bullied. She killed her parents. I'm so shocked and wonder why. If she could kill her parents, she could kill her friends too. I can now picture her face clearly at this point in the dream. She's not really there, just my dream self remembering what she looks like. She looks like the manga artist from the drama Limit. I also remember being sad for her. I hear her screaming in my head, "来なくて" (go away) again and again, through it is grammatically incorrect and should be 来ないで. I run to my friend, a guy, sitting at another table. His presence feels like Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec. I hug him and he comforts me. Aside from that one line, the dream is in English. It wasn't scary, more like a movie. Last scene, we are leaving the restaurant in a car and I remember seeing a police van and wondering if our friend is in there.

      3rd Dream - Part 1
Before this dream changed into a murder scene. I remember mixing a drink at the table with my friend, a girl. The presence is the same girl who was at the table in Part 2 of the dream. At this point we don't have distinguished ethnicities and I am myself. The drink was an orange-colored smoothie. We came to the idea that we want to pour orange-colored cough syrup in it. It tasted disgusting, like curdled milk. The cough syrup absolutely ruined the smoothie, separating the fruit juice from the cream, turning it a gray color with lumps. We realized it was a bad idea.

      2nd Dream
My mom and the girl I nanny and her family. My mom wanted to plan some sort of event. I was in my mom's kitchen at one point and Nila's living room at another point. I asked my mom at one point if she was going to cook for the event, perhaps turkey. She had eating out/bringing in food from outside more in mind. I suggested a specific restaurant, but she didn't like the idea.

**Note: I know the name of the specific restaurant and wrote it in my physical dream journal, just leaving out that detail since it might reveal where I live.

      1st Dream
I might've been at school. Hallway, elevator. Perhaps Japanese club. I think a presence like Michael Scott from The Office might've been there. Group of people.

All dreams were non-lucid. By the time I finished writing down my dreams it was 10:24 am.

Reflections: I want to meet the girl who looked like the manga artist from Limit (dream character) while lucid. I have a lingering feeling of wanting to know more about her.
    13. Best Wheat Ales and Bakery Goods of All Time EVER!!!

      by , 12-21-2012 at 03:46 AM
      12/04/12
      11:00am

Me, family members, and good friends of the family are all travelling on a bus. I look out the window into this old industrial yard. There is a pile of stuff and large overhead pipes. (I had a other dream here but can't remember any more than being in a hurry and going through the piles and maybe turning some valves.) Also in the yard was a motor-home.

I could see in through the back window of the motor home from the bus that there was a pile of wood inside being fed into some kind of furnace. We stopped and went inside the motor home. The inside was cramped but much larger than it could possibly have been. To our good fortune we had stumbled upon one of the worlds greatest secrets.

This place apparently made some of the best bread ever....hence the wood furnace. Somehow they also managed to make wheat beer from the bread. I tried one and it was..omg outstanding. After finishing my drink we headed along some tables towards some stairs leading downstairs. On the tables were some cakes, pastries, pies, and other goodies. I tried something with banana... and it was also extremely good. I also remember their being some sort of kiwi cake. We didn't gorge ourselves and headed downstairs. I sat in a subway train like seat next to my sister and Ilean. They both had small plates. I was so happy and pleased that I squeed a little.

      Ask Her (LUCID)

The party is happening at an indoor swimming pool. The building is three stories tall, and most people are hanging out on the balconies of the upper two stories, overlooking the pool. There are all sorts of staircases to climb and all kinds of ropes and structural supports hanging around the ceiling, so I'm having a blast swinging around the room and over the pool doing flips and leaps.

While I'm taking a break from this, walking down one of the upper balconies, a portly, bearded man falls in next to me.

"You were doing pretty well out there with all those flips," he says.

"Yeah, because--" Suddenly I remember that such acrobatics are a dead giveaway that I'm dreaming. I give the man a sideways look. I bet you anything he asked me that question just to make me realize that. "Because gravity doesn't work the same here, because I'm dreaming. I bet the other dream characters are pretty mad at you right now." (Everyone knows that dream characters are in general opposed to the dreamer's becoming lucid.) I'm proud of myself for remembering the phrase "dream characters."

The man chuckles. "Yes, I suppose they are."

We walk a few steps while I ruminate on the favor he's done me. "You know, I come to this pool almost every night," I say. "But I've never realized before that it's a dream. So thank you."

We go our separate ways. I do some more acrobatics. [I lose most of my lucidity almost right away, probably because I was determined just to go with the flow so the dream didn't fade away.] At one point I dive towards the water, only to pull out of it at the last moment using a breast stroke. I'd forgotten how useful the breast stroke is for flying.

Later, I'm talking to a group of friends on a balcony. They seem to think I have a crush on one of the girls here, someone named "Anna." I don't even know what she looks like, but they're all determined that I should talk to her. "You should ask her," they say. "Just ask her!" I leave for a little while. When I come back, I see a kinda cute girl standing a few feet away from my friends, though a lot of people have left the balcony since last I was here.

      "Is that Anna?" I ask.

"What?" says the girl I'm talking to, glancing in the direction I'm indicating. "No, that's not her. Anna's younger than that."

Younger? So she's in high school? Why would they think I have a crush on a high school girl? Weird. Well, at least I proved that I actually don't know who she is. It occurs to me, though, that this might just be how I start relationships: I have to wait for the girl's friends to insist that I ask her out. That's a depressing thought.

I walk back to a staircase, where another group of friends invites me to play a game. A girl produces several two-inch lengths of floss, which are flavored with a randomly-generated flavor. We each have to take one and try to describe what it tastes like. I am very impressed that she's somehow discovered how to encode a randomly-generated flavor in a little piece of string. "You all keep complimenting me on my acrobatics, but this"--I say, holding out my piece of floss--"is really much more impressive." Then we all put the floss in our mouths and spend a few minutes sucking. I'm having a bit of trouble with mine, because seemingly the flavor's not very strong. The people to my right start writing down their impressions, and finally, they ask me what I think.

"You know, I think mine is just . . . lemon." I was certainly not expecting to get such an ordinary flavor, which is probably why I had such a hard time identifying it.

"Oh, so you mean it was boring," my friends say, commiserating.

I wait a bit for the next round to start, but it looks like that will take a while. I make my apologies to the girl hosting the game and depart. I explore some back staircases, which are deserted except for me. It takes some effort to climb all the way to the top, so I'm pleasantly surprised to find that the last half-staircase (from the landing between the second and third floors to the third floor) is only two steps long.

I walk out into the hall. I hear some noises from a bathroom, and a janitor comes out with cleaning supplies. Awkward.

[I have no recollection of having visited this pool before. But I suppose my dream-self would know better than I about something like that.]

    15. LD: Kicking Darth Vader

I did have a lucid dream last night...and i did do a summersault in the air. So I got the Task done...on the last day of course, so it's almost lik eit doesn't count. But I guess it's better than doing it tonight.

      Dream:

I was jumping on a trampoline. I was suddenly partially lucid. The dream faded. But like before I was able to force the scene around me so I was back on the trampoline. As I jumped I noticed tootsie rolls on the trampoline bouncing around. I thought. "Yes, this is a dream I can eat candy!" So I started eating the tootsie rolls. (This obviously wasn't my best LD or I would have realized that I didn't have to be satisfied with toosie rolls, and I could have created chocolate truffles or something that I enjoy more. But surprisingly the tootsie rolls tasted pretty good to me.)

So I ate and jumped and then I started doing flips. At that moment I remembered that the Task of the Month was to do flips oin the air. So I continued for a while, flipping and trying to stay in the air for longer than normal.. I have always liked doing dream flips so I felt that this was using my LD wisely.

But after while I suddenly wanted to do something really different. I don't really remember how it happened--if I created it or it just appeared. But suddenly I was in the Death Star. I was looking down at a very large meeting. I could see Darth Vader sitting in the middle of this huge group of people all sitting around him in this stadium like setting.

I decided that I wanted to have some fun. I was feeling very brave and in control. So I flew down to Darth Vader and kicked him in the chest and then quickly flew back up and out of the stadium.

It was so uneventful that I purposely waited for someone to start chasing me. Finally I was aware that one of the head guys was coming after me, and I felt a little thrill of excitement.

      And then I woke up.
