Finally on the board for Task of the Year 2014!!

      Lucid #206: The Giant Killer

I sense a transition into the dream state, but just as it begins I hear our dogs start barking downstairs. Wife stirs in the bed next to me and I wonder how much of this is pure dream and how much of it might be sounds and sensations from waking life bleeding over.

I will myself to roll out of bed OBE-style and I decide to phase downstairs to see what the dogs are on about. I pass through walls and the floor like a ghost and I think to myself that “I’m spirit walking.”

I pass through one last set of walls and the geometry gets weird for a moment and I wonder if I’m losing this dream. I rake my fingers across the floor but I pass right through. Still, it seems to bring me back into the experience and there in front of me are our 2 dogs laying on the floor panting.

Their food and water bowls both lay empty and I figure that’s what they were making a fuss about. Even though I’m still floating like a ghost, I’m able to grab the water bowl and sling it across the room and it clangs realistically against the floor. I consider asking Wife the next morning if she heard any of this commotion.

I head out into the garage, walking like normal now. Rather than phase, for some reason I lift the garage door manually and walk out into the night. I move past the circular driveway to the grass, thinking of the Jack and the Beanstalk Task of the Year. I dig a quick hole and everything’s feeling very vivid now. I do a behind-the-back summon of a seed which feels very half-hearted but fortunately still does yield a tiny seed. I quickly cover it over with dirt.

For water I move my hands in a little sprinkling motion over the little mound and a few drops of “rain” fall. The plant immediately springs up through the ground and stretches skyward. It looks like a normal vine at first but as it continues up it looks more like a twisting rope bridge that goes all the way up into the clouds.

I grab the lower rung and start hauling myself up but I feel like I’m getting nowhere and won’t ever be able to tackle all that distance. I decide that the planks are being reeled in from above and are pulling me up toward the clouds. It works! In a couple of spots the planks twist and turn oddly as if they’re trying to throw me off, but I ignore this and before long I’m at the top! I float up over the edge into what looks like a restaurant that’s being prepared for a party.

Two women standing nearby appear to be in charge of the scurrying wait staff. One of the women, an attractive lady in her early 40s, looks up at me as I walk nearby. She has a streak of her short brown hair bleached almost white. My task is the defeat the giant that lives up here, so I ask, “Where’s the giant?” She points behind me and to my left.

When I turn, there’s a guy roughly 9-10 feet tall walking through the door of the restaurant. He’s mid-40s with dark hair and a thick, barrel-chested build. “So you’re the giant?” I ask leadingly.

“That’s right,” he says and immediately takes a swing at me. His punch catches me square in the face but I decide that it will have no effect. I wind up not feeling anything or even falling back and it kind of feels like cheating. I strike at the man, trying what I for some reason think is a “kidney punch” but actually hit him in the side of the gut. He winces a bit but doesn’t move much.

I follow this up with a kick to the body and the giant clutches at his chest. I feel like this is working but I become paranoid about losing the dream, so I leap up and grab onto the giant’s face. I try to do this thing where I burn him with my hands but it completely fails. The failure makes me kind of vicious and desperate, so I gouge at his left eye with my right thumb and then strike him on the neck with my forearm. He collapses hard to the ground and I go with him. As I’m picking myself up to see what’s next,
      the dream ends.
    2. Beer Goggles

      Lucid #205: Beer Goggles

My friend “Leroy” and I are hosting a meeting at a hotel. We’re there to meet with another company for merger talks and we’ve got a table of breakfast food laid out for the attendees. A bunch of other random people are having breakfast here, though, and have stolen a bunch of our yogurts. Leroy runs past these tables and grabs the yogurts back before sprinting off toward the meeting in the nearby bar. I think this is pretty awesome and get a good laugh out of it.

When we get to the bar and sit down with the other company, I realize that it’s lots of people I know from different areas of my life. This strikes me as strange, and when I consider my situation,
      I realize that I’m dreaming.

I spend a little bit of time conversing with the people at the table, just out of curiosity as to how they’ll react. I talk to SK for a moment and then to a younger version of SC who is now sporting a mustache. They all seem to be aware that this is a dream and don’t try to fool or convince me otherwise.

I leave the table and think that I should use the opportunity to try a drink. As I pass a waiter I say, “Sir, give me a beer,” and he immediately complies. I take a swig, but it’s sort of gross, like flat mineral water. For some reason I decide to dump the rest over my face. It feels cold, realistic, and super invigorating! There also seems to be an unlimited supply, because it just keeps pouring and pouring. The effect is awesome because it’ll occasionally even cross my vision and make everything look all watery-looking.

I head for the exit, a huge, ornate wooden door with an iron ring for a handle. I pull it open (with some effort) and then do this again at a second huge wooden door. Now I’m out on the street in the daytime, pouring “beer” over my face and looking at the passerby. It’s a beautiful day out and I just enjoy the sunshine and presence of the DCs.

An attractive Asian woman in a two-piece swimsuit approaches from down the street, but as she walks by closer to where I’m standing she morphs into a guy walking around in shorts and a t-shirt. “Hey, you were a woman just a second ago!”

“That’s right,” he says. “Do you want me to change back?”

“Yeah, change back!” At this, he leans over, grabs the back of his t-shirt and seems to kind of struggle with pulling it over his head. And as he emerges, “he” is back to female form again. I’m super amused by this and I cheer at the trick. She seems really flattered and pleased by my reaction and laughs before walking away.

This whole time I’ve continued pouring beer over my face and I look up at the bottle to see that it’s really small now, about the size of a thimble. It still pours just fine, though, but I don’t have long before
      the dream ends.
    3. Canada, Sex, and Anger

      by , 04-25-2014 at 03:53 AM
The dream started with me look at a map. I look up and see my self at the "border to Canada" which was just a giant trench going all the way across America i thought to my self how bad this is because i knew i was dreaming but im bad at changing dream scenes. I look behind me and find out that Canada is just the back yard of my old house so i walked towards the driveway and then took a right to my neighbors house, which looked totally different (this was a polished wood house with fancy lighting). I walked inside to find a mom and her daughter about to get ready for dinner. The mom asked "Hey... are you here for dinner?" and i said "Yes of course, i come here all the time." and she responded with "Oh really? I should probably stop drinking so much!" and then she walked up stairs. I look at the table and the girl is giving me the thumbs up and biting her lip. She takes my hand and walks me up the stairs into her bedroom. I look around her room and when i turn back around she is on the ground on her elbows and knees with her ass up. I casually had sex with her then the dream skips and i lose lucidity. Im now in an apartment with her and another guy. I decided to go outside and got to a house about a mile down and check out what it has (no one is anywhere) I then see my girl and the guy going to the house next door as i was searching. I see them run back as i get out of the house. As soon as i got to the apartment i had a about 20 satchel charges (out of no where) and i was throwing them at the guy and he threw the girl into the explosion. (This whole satchel charge part was really weird cause it felt like i was playing gta; it felt like i was controlling my self with a ps3 controller) I then had to start using a different "button" on the ps3 "controller" to throw more charges. I find my self in a room and i blow up the door as soon as he opens it and shoots me.

    4. I Kissed A Girl

      by , 04-24-2014 at 07:10 PM
At work, I was putting bottles of shampoo out on the shelves. For some reason, these bottles where enclosed in a clamshell-type plastic anti-theft device. It didn't make sense that something this inexpensive would need an anti-theft device. I sought out my security guy. He gave me two keys and sent me to a Home Depot across the street with specific instructions on where to locate the parts for another anti-theft device.

The Home Depot was closed, but for some reason people were swarming into the darkened store. I looked at the keys that the security guy gave me, but one of them had bent in half in my hand. The other looked really thin, like something had shaved it down. I tried to remember the directions to the parts I needed, but I couldn't barely remember what he had said.

But now I had more important matters to think about. It was Friday night, and I was worried. I had two classes on Saturday and I had missed two weeks of class while I was out of town. One of them was a law class with some heavy reading, but I couldn't remember what I needed to read for class. In fact, I couldn't remember reading anything for the class at all during the two weeks I was gone. I had one night to get caught up. I tried to read the syllabus and noticed that this class had a lot of group work. Why the hell would I take a class like this and then go out of town for two weeks? I started to panic, realizing I would never get caught up.

On top of everything, Dad wanted me to come over to some apartment building where he was living, even though I didn't have the time. I drove over there, and at the parking entrance, he waved me over to some special part of the lot where there was resident parking. This area was blocking off by a barbed wire fence. As I parked my car, I thought it looked a little weird to see this kind of fence around only a portion of the lot.

At this point, I awakened briefly, realized that the dream had just ended, and was somewhat successful performing a DEILD.

I'm dreaming again. I find myself at work, and I've been told to take a new employee somewhere. I look at this new employee and even though she's not conventionally pretty, she has really soft lips. There are a lot of things I wanted to do in my next lucid dream, but instead, I decide that I really want to kiss her. I lean in, touch my lips to hers, and I'm so overcome with emotion that I wake up.

    5. Dream Software [lucid]

      by , 04-24-2014 at 06:54 PM
My dream starts as sort of a nightmare. The nightmare itself is jumbled and confused - there's not a clean narrative. It's mostly short, quick clips of action strung together and viewed from a 3rd person POV. Mud and rain; earth sliding into a river, pulling people down with it... switch to what seems like a motel and some sequences that seem like they're out of a slasher horror flick, people running in fear, and severed limbs and blood everywhere. It mostly seems like it's just my brain tossing up whatever seems disturbing and frightening at the moment.

Because of how disjointed it is, it's failing to really frighten or disturb me. My mind starts to get more and more distanced from what's going on, and starts paying less attention to it. I gain lucidity in one of the motel/dorm rooms while two women are arguing with each other. They look straight out of the 80s - one has bleached hair teased up a mile high and fake orange tanner, and the other is a brunette with a ponytail and teased bangs. As soon as I realize this is a dream, I am no longer a disembodied observer. There's an oval mirror on the wall - I run up to it and look at myself in the mirror in order to reaffirm that I now have a physical presence.

I immediately crouch on the floor and start running my fingers through the carpet in order to solidify my surroundings. Things seem to be fading, so I stand up and produce a hand mirror from behind myself and examine myself in it. The two women have stopped arguing and are looking at me. I feel embarrassed about them potentially thinking that I'm just extremely vain (despite the fact that they're just dream characters), so I shrug and tell them, "I'm just making sure I still exist."

They lose interest in me, and I lose interest in them, because I've decided that since my scene changes haven't gone so well lately, maybe I'll just mold my current surroundings into what I want. I pull up the software interface for 3D Studio Max and start modeling furniture for the room. Despite being a motel room, it has no bed, so I decide to experiment with creating one. I begin working on it as if it's a 3D model for a video game.

The two women have faded away. I minimize the "software" I'm working with to check and see if the bed has appeared. It has, and looks very solid, but it's the plain solid white of a 3D model that has been imported into some engines but doesn't have a texture linked to it (or the texture isn't loading).

I decide I'll texture it later, once I've gotten the hang of this, and decide to start working on one of the windows. I "import" it into my software and begin tweaking it. The window is a little bit tougher - it resists conforming to what I want.

The dream fades. Eventually, another one starts, but it's non-lucid. I'm watching a bunch of characters in a video game and "piloting" some of them, and the game is sort of Harvest Moon-y but instead everybody is little Lego people and they're going to classes at a university. One of the landslide scenes from the prior nightmare replays, but with little Lego people instead of realistic people. The character I'm piloting is supposed to get a date for a festival coming up and has until 5 a.m. the day of the festival, but because of the landslide, I don't manage to complete the objective and watch the festival play out without a date. The characters go to class, and the professor is very boring. The textbook is 900 pages long, but the professor is focusing on a 4 page section of it. The students have smuggled some pot edibles into class, and when the professor goes to another room for a few minutes, they all leave class to get high. The character I'm piloting stays in class. When the prof gets back, he seems bummed that nobody cares about the lecture.
    6. Some this and that and a bit of lucid running through the landscape

      by , 04-24-2014 at 03:15 PM
      To be continued later..
Maybe - happy to say - now I pulled myself together and dictated some stuff - I have a lot to journal - theoretically. I mean I did already - but writing down is an important second step - I know.
      Ah well.

      Important:
I got lucid - driving down in an open elevator - open to all sides, except down of course.
      Through a forest.
Getting lucid was not only about bizarreness, though, I think - I simply felt that characteristic dream connectedness of me and my world - "something in the air", almost.
And I thought of wanting to get a stable 3D environment by moving and checking my frame of reference.
Having read something like this from The Cusp.
Well - it worked - buut.
First of all - super happy not to have lost a dream in frantic stabilization activity and getting indeed to running in a quite beautiful forest all 3D, and it felt like full immersion.
I really enjoyed it, and simply kept running for a minute maybe - and then I must have lost lucidity and also recall for that affair.
Next time I won't neglect the cognitive aspects of lucidity while running and 3D establishing.

Soo - too lazy to write zig pages - just this one dream-fragment (I do have the rest dream, though):

One scene was, that I made a break from riding a bike to somewhere, and went a bit into the forest, to be undisturbed in what I wanted to do. I found an interestingly shaped branch there - maybe 2 m long, devoid of bark and it looked as if washed smooth by drifting in water for a long time.
I planned on taking it for a friend, who likes interesting wood to carve it a bit more interesting.

Suddenly a pair of hikers turned up - and I tried to tell them, that it was not a way, where I was - that the way would be over there, and that they could break their ankles coming towards me.
I had climbed over some big roots and stones and it was steep there, too.

But they said - didn't you hear that scream, and that horrible loud sound?
I hadn't heard that - but once I climbed out of the under brush - one of my rather rare incidences of clear and even emotionally intense dream-bizarreness came about. The wood in the forest, but looking like from a beach was rather subliminal.

I looked at the sky, and there was a flying train - looming dangerously close over us, and we were afraid, it might come crashing down exactly on us.

But then it seemed logical, that it followed a sort of trail in the sky, when it made a sharp turn and came to land close to where we thought, Hamburg central station would be. A map of a supposed Hamburg appeared in my imagination - where it was divided in strips of different colour - that showed me this. Ah well.
So all in order, wasn't it?

The two people then complained about all the Bavarian tourists, and the fuss they would kick up - up to flying in per train ..
And I didn't get it - rather I was with them where the train had landed without "physically" getting there, and spoke some solace to an old Bavarian lady with traditional braided hair - she was intimidated by that sort of hostility.

One of the classical jumps in location - following the narrative and attention and not some sort of geography.

    7. Dryspell Broken/Lacking Recall/Side Notes/Update

by , 04-24-2014 at 11:07 AM (INeverWakeUp's Super Dream Journal)
Hello DV! Finally broke my dryspell, which lasted 29 days. My last lucid dream was on March 25, so it's been awhile, but I finally broke it last night. Sadly, most of the dream is lost in my subconscious now, but I can recall a few things at least, both lucid and non-lucid.

I recall being in some sort of store of something with my friends and classmates. I also recall driving out of a gas station parking lot, and two guys cut me off in their car, but then allowed me to drive out into the interesection(sorry lol the parts I remember weren't too interesting).

Lucidly I recall the time shortly after becoming lucid. I fell backwards once to make the clarity of the dream better, and it worked quite well. Not too long after that the dream almost felt like real waking life. My ADA was kicking in to the maximum, so the details in the environment around me were staggeringly realistic. Not only was the area detailed down to each speck of dust, but my body also felt very lively and at work like it would feel in real life. I've noticed that normally the body just feels empty in dreams to me, and this is probably the same for other people too. Bottom line, I'm very happy with the results of the ADA method.

      Now onto a few updates:
I'm finishing up this year of school, and so the end of the year stress is starting kick in. I have to constantly worry about my grades, and the mounds of work my teachers are giving me. This has been affecting my dream recall quite horribly, because I've been quite stressed out. I noticed that once this school settled in my LD count from the summer went out the window, and I've been having dryspells for the whole school year. I've been practicing All Day Awareness(ADA) since June, and it's continuing to prove useful in capturing the detail of my dreams, but it's harder to practice in the day time when it's never the first thing on my mind, especially in school.

Recently, just this week in fact, I've been thinking about returning to the DEILD method, considering I tend to wake up unintentionally at least once a night, sometimes twice, or even three times. It's a very hard method to get started with, because it requires you to not move or open your eyes when you awake, so it's been difficult to have my mind immediately have a twitch reaction to not do so when I awake. I almost had it last night though, so I could've had two lucids! So hopefully I can pull that together soon, and hopefully when summer returns I can get back to having weekly to biweekly lucids again.

      Dream
      Lucidity

I either knew I was dreaming or having a dream about lucid dreaming. I jumped over a rail and noticed my dream getting blurry. I noticed a male to my right and knew there was another person behind me and to my left. I looked at my hands and said "stabilize the dream!" and then realized I was dreaming.
I had 4 fingers and my middle finger was unusually big. I tried to summon my sister but it didn't work. I stood there for a while, thinking of what to do. I remember the floor looked really polished and pretty. It was tile and had brown and white colors. I started to dream spin and again, it looked like I was in a tornado with purple arrows pointing in the direction I was spinning. I didn't know where to go so I just spun until I suddenly remembered: EASTER EGGS! My girlfriend made a noise in the waking world and caused me to wake up.

    9. Fog (lucid)

      by , 04-23-2014 at 07:51 PM
Fell asleep meditating on the idea of lucidity, and a particular location ("Home Base"). I don't generally expect to attain lucidity during my first few periods of REM, nor do I really want to. Zoning out and just letting sleep happen is nice, in and of itself.

I had some new forms of success and ran into some familiar problems...

Had dreams. Don't recall them. I need to get better about writing stuff down, but don't want to disturb my boyfriend, either. I still don't feel like they were particularly vivid, coherent, or noteworthy... dreams from the first few hours of the night generally aren't.

Settled back to sleep meditating on home base. Slipped into gray fog. At some point, attained lucidity... had the sense that it was near the very beginning of a dream because I have no recollection of a dream up until that point, but suddenly I was sitting at a table with a pile of colorful alphabet-letter magnets on it. I touched and examined them, and then the grey fog reclaimed the dream. I slowly woke up.

Settled back down and began meditating again. Body slowly settled back into sleep; my limbs became numb and I felt like I was drifting.

This is normally the point I'd have trouble with a WILD. At this point, I would normally try to start moving, sit up out of my body, and feel a way that I can only really describe as feeling "tangled in a blanket" - mentally flailing around but unable to really get anywhere or do anything, still stuck in the fog. Sometimes, it's instinctive, so it's been hard to shake the habit, but last night I was actually able to remain mindful and stay still.

I felt as if I was drifting in a river. My body was numb and the idea of being attached to or "in" it was going away. I tried to sink into the river even more... I felt my head sink through the pillow and my body sink through the bed, and sank down into the gray fog.

Drifted for a while. I watched the fog so that I didn't end up drifting out of lucidity. I waited for shapes to appear in the fog. Sometimes shadowy shapes would appear. This is normally where I might have trouble again - trying to will them to BE something, without anything really coalescing... wanting them to BE something... getting frustrated and exerting myself too much mentally and waking up as a result. This time, I just let them fade in and out. I still paid attention to them and tried to examine them, but I tried to remain as objective as possible - trying to see patterns and shapes in them without trying to force them to "be" anything. I knew that if I kept doing this, eventually I could coax one of them into reality.

Eventually a shadowy room came into being, and became reality. I was standing in the living-room of my mother's old apartment in Florida. It didn't have any furniture and was fairly empty. The alphabet magnets from before were scattered on an end table in the center of the room. It felt pretty "solid". I examined the brown carpet and patted the wall. I walked through the room, toward the hallway, running my hand along the wall so that I didn't lose lucidity. I wanted to do a scene change - this place wasn't where I wanted to be, and it was boring. I walked up to the door and willed it to open to a location I actually wanted to be in (again, home base).

I opened the door, and there was... another door? I opened that door, and behind it was another door. I felt irritated and opened that door, willing it to be the location that I wanted, but it opened into the apartment atrium.

I walked across the atrium and opened one of the doors to another apartment. That door led back into the atrium. I got an idea - something told me to try to dive through a door and use it like a portal. I dove through a door and
opened my eyes to my actual bedroom. I should have known that this was potentially a false awakening, but instead I just went back to sleep.

I dreamed I was hanging out with a few of my friends. We were going to Full Throttle Bottles, but in the dream, Full Throttle was not the store I was familiar with, and it was not in the location where it would have normally been. Instead, we were all walking down a street full of nothing but liquor stores. We went into one of them and a friend bought a bottle of vodka that was in a bottle like a soda bottle and tasted like orange-flavored cream soda. I liked it, so I bought one myself. I kept thinking that it was odd that the store clerk hadn't carded any of us, but didn't manage to figure out that it was because this was a dream.

We walked up to a place that looked kind of like a castle. It had brown, smooth bricks. I jumped down a wall and my friend grabbed my arm and jumped down with me. I remember thinking it was a very long way to jump and was surprised I hadn't hurt myself a lot, but reasoned that it was because my friend was taller and had held me up kind of like a balloon.

I then dreamed about a flying cartoon skunk whose super power was smelling so bad that the odor killed evil things.

      Dream
      Lucidity
      Notes

I was playing Dishonored and saw an ultra hard difficulty setting so I started playing on that. It was arena type mode with challenges every stage. I was actually in the game fighting and had access to the power selection wheel. The first challenge was to get people to kill each other without me killing them. I went through many challenges and a lot of fighting but as I was running from 2 women and a lot of monsters, I entered a room and said "Alright I'm done" because I was so tired. I got congratulated for making it so far by the girls chasing me and had a man on a computer take pictures of me and them. I saw a digital picture frame with other people who I knew got top scores and among them were some of my family members. The girls told me they were going back home and I was teleported onto the ocean where I was swimming.
There were a lot of sea creatures and I was swimming along side some whales, who reminded me of one of the girls. The dream reminded me of the dream I had on 4/21/2014, where I was sailing the ocean with my family on a car. I saw plenty of cars but this time they were headed towards me. I said "Here I come!" and saw a boat speeding towards me. Suddenly a helicopter comes and its rotors cause me to get blown away. I pretend I'm taking apart an easter egg and suddenly become lucid.
I'm floating on the water and at the tip of my fingers, an easter egg that looks like a yellow bunny. I remember the water being deep. I opened the easter in half. The bottom portion had a green toy or figurine. The top portion had a yellow and tan toy/figurine. I took them both out and bit into each. It hurt my tooth because they were a hard plastic. I looked at them and read their information on the back of the toys. It said where they were made, by what company, copyrights, etc. I came to shore onto a facility and thought I'd prank a dream character. I said "I want a person to be here" and as I walked, I saw my cat Lucy. I added, "a person that's not Lucy!" I stepped up to the facility doors and a man asked me to identify. I know I've been there before and knew what to do and say. I said my name and that I was wearing black. I took off my duty belt which didn't have anything on it and stepped through. I saw a janitor, who was old and fat and told him to follow me outside. My plan was to make him go outside and have to get access to the facility again. He was suspicious of me and said "If you're trying to make me come out, I have a badge to get in" he then proceeded to tell me how the badge was not his and he actually stole it. I yelled at him to give me the badge but he ran away, outside of the facility and into some sort of cave. I lost lucidity and started yelling at nothing for a badge then slowly started to wake up.

Before bed, I stayed up a long time repeating to myself "I open easter eggs" and imagining me opening easter eggs. While I was walking out, the janitor asked me for the time and I looked at my watch and told him some weird time. My lucidity was low during this dream.

    11. Dream energy work

      by , 04-23-2014 at 05:46 PM
Was at a cabin in the mountains with my parents, my dad's relatives, and some random people. My dad demanded that I clean all the dogs that were there. I guess that made me a little bit lucid because I grabbed some random DC lady and dragged her downstairs for some fun time. Then I became a little more lucid and remembered what I wanted to do. I dropped the DC lady like a bag of luggage and stared into a mirror. I looked normal. I began the energy work, feeling it flow through the ground, up through my body, my spine, and out my head. I guess I expected to see some visual representation of it but I didn't. It started out very weak feeling too. I noticed my head was missing in the mirror. I decided to go walk through the winter forest outside. As I stepped outside I said that it would not be cold, but it would be warm. The snow was slightly warm and the temperature was probably 75F with a cool breeze. Was a really strange sensation, feeling warm snow beneath my feet with that familiar crunch that happens when stepping on it. I kept doing the energy work as I walked through the forest, amplifying it. I started to feel compassion swell up in my chest, at this point I saw little rainbows appear all over. Heh. They disappeared after a few seconds but the snow began sparkling with several different colors. I kept amplifying the feeling as I walked down towards a frozen lake, felt wonderful. I woke up, was determined to DEILD even though I felt like jumping out of bed and running a marathon. I patiently waited for the next dream to start.

I was at my parents' house and I said, "that was quicker than I had expected". I walked outside with a big smile on my little dream face, I still felt the afterglow of the energy work. I tried to walk through a fence. Struggled a little bit but then I imagined I was transparent and I slipped right through. Woke up again. DEILD'd same thing.

I was now a child at an elementary school cafeteria, hanging out with childhood friends. Some angry bully came along and tried to mess with them so I got up and gave him a big hug filled with love and he walked away with a smile on his face. I sat there for a couple minutes, half listening to them talk about taking actual measurements of the brain's activity during deep meditation. I was really just enjoying the feeling of contentment and joy that I was experiencing. I suddenly saw the recurring dream girl DC that I always seem to love. I walked over to her and touched her face. I remembered her face this time when I woke up. Sort of. I really want to do this again.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #204: Ozone

I’m sitting at a craft table with three other people: a guy in his late 20s (“Guy”), a woman in her 30s (“Lady”), and a crazy-looking woman in her mid-40s (“Crazy Lady”). Crazy Lady keeps talking to herself and acting disturbed as she works on her project.

Lady gets the bright idea to tell Crazy Lady that Guy has a prize for her. “If you get all your work done, maybe he’ll give it to you.” Crazy Lady keeps asking what the prize is, becoming more and more fixated on this prize until she gets out of her chair and approaches Guy. I have a feeling that something awful’s going to happen but that I can’t stop it.

      Spoiler for Unpleasantness:

Crazy Lady disappears from the scene as Lady and I rush to help Guy. Now I’m on the phone with emergency services begging them to come help us. They sound very unhurried and tell me that the wait will be “about 30 minutes”. I’m stressed out that they’re going to take so long but I hope they know what they’re doing. I nose pinch reality check in the hope that this isn’t real, and when I blow throuigh I think, No way am I so lucky that this is all a dream. I confirm with a second nose pinch, that
      yes, I’m dreaming!

Guy and Lady both disappear from the scene and I’m left along in an empty classroom. I wander outside into a misty nighttime street scene. I feel happiness and contentment to have escaped a nightmare and I peacefully explore the environment.

The bricks on the side of the building fascinate me first, and I bring my vision right up close to them. No matter how close I get, my eyes never lose focus. I seem to be able to look further and further in, zooming into every crack and imperfection. My fingers explore the moist bricks and it’s like I can sense each individual drop of moisture with my fingertips.

I suddenly give the wall a huge sniff. It feels invigorating and seems to bring the scene even more fully to life. I sense moisture and a sharp whiff of ozone when I do this, just like what you might smell after heavy rain.

There are a few DCs hanging around nearby, talking softly about something I can’t make out. I approach one of them, a brown-haired guy that’s facing away from me, and examine his hair and scalp up close. I’m fascinated how I can see down to the individual hairs on his head. The DCs’ conversation ceases as I do this and it feels like I hit pause on what they were saying.

I take another huge sniff, this time of the guy’s scalp. It just smells like a bunch of hair. I laugh self-consciously at what a creepy thing this is to do. Fortunately the DC doesn’t react. I walk onward now through the misty night toward a short stone bridge that runs over some unknown river or creek. Before I cross it,
      the dream ends.

I remember becoming aware for a few seconds in one of my dreams.
      ----------------------------------------------------------

I was in a huge cafeteria and with a lot of people. Some dude wanted to fight me but I don't remember what happened I was then taking a dump in a bathroom that I think was very dirty
      ----------------------------------------------------------

I went underwater into a beautiful reef that was enclosed on all sides. I saw 2 little fish-like things. One with 1 fin and another with 2 fins. The one I wanted to talk to was the one with 2. We swam around jellyfish and I warned the fish with 2 fins, who was a girl, not totouch the tentacles, only the caps of the jellyfish. The jellyfish were floating upwards and created a beautiful square wall with their tentacles. I took my phone out and took a picture of the jellyfish wall. The fish with 2 fins then turned into a mermaid and we kept talking and even took pictures together.
I was then on some bed in an apartment and the mermaid had grown legs. She started giving my apparent roommate a massage and I was mad because she was mine but not really because I never asked her out. I was still jelly. She left and she suddenly turned into Christa and would talk all retarded. I got disgusted and left to some karate place where the teacher/instructor was testing us on how to make origami out of popcorn bags. I didn't know what I was doing but Chenn from drill helped me while the professor wasn't looking.
    14. A school situation and out of my body :P

      by , 04-22-2014 at 07:45 PM
OK. I don't recall my first dream. But this is how my second dream was. I was at a unusual place where there was a competition going on. Someone next to me said "wouldn't it be cool if we could go into the atmosphere without freezing." I said yeah than began to walk away. I appeared in a school with students around me. Some from my old highschool. There was a situation going on. A boy was talking to a girl about how he really wanted to be with her. He had given her a picture with ms.cupcake written on it in big words. The girl had light blond hair in a high bun, looked average and was wearing a white t shirt with shorts. It was apparently gym time. Anyways...she was telling him to leave her alone. That she didn't want to be with him. Than she started looking dizzy and fainted a bit on her knees. After that everyone was like "oh no.." The blond girl than ran down stairs and a group of students followed. A thought about her taking pills and probably trying to commit suicide popped into my mind. I was hoping she ran to the nurse's office. Than I said "That boy should have left her alone. This is giving me anxiety." Than a girl I remember from my old highschool said "yeah, me too" than I woke up.
My third dream was short too. I was thinking about how I wanted to dream. Some images appeared in my head and suddenly i felt like I was out of my body.I got scared and stayed in myself trying to connect. In the corner of my eye, I could see a portal. It was like a bright green well where a lady was doing magic in it. I heard her say something like she was about to do a magic spell thing. That's when I closed my eyes than began to shake. I also felt a sharp pain in my stomach area. Suddenly I teleported and hit a white wall still shaking. I was like owo. There was a girl passing by talking to another girl. Than I woke up.

      LUCID
      * The dream started in my apartment complex at night in the parking lot. I was hanging out with some friend when I suddenly asked my self the question, am I dreaming? I thought at first there is no way I am dreaming this is to real, but you never know unless you check. I plugged my nose and yes I could breath, I am dreaming!! Then I started to fly showing everybody I was with that it is possible and they should do it to. Then I ended up in a house or apartment whatever thinking task of the month! I walked into a room where there was a bowl of fruit on the table. I also noticed statues of Mary and Jesus set up in this room, I thought strange that I am dreaming of them. It's always good to see holy beings in your dream no matter from what tradition I thought.

Then I started to transform actual fruits that exist until fantasy fruits that don't. At first the fruits appeared to be alter version of real fruits, but then eventually I manage to conjure something which seemed very alien. This fruit actually moved and appeared to be alive. I thought ok now I eat, but since it was alive I couldn't bring myself to do it. It looked just like a mango turned inside out that was alive, disgusting. I thought mmm well I came this far and I will probably still get my wings anyway haha.

Then after being done with all of that I remember talking to my brother about I hope he remember being lucid with me. As we were talking about how amazing it is to be lucid in the dream state. I had this incredible sense of calm, clarity, and power, thinking this is all a projection of my mind, this is my world.

After this I skipped to a scene where I was walking out of my kitchen. Then I turned around and asked all the older ladies in attendance. Would you all like to see something amazing? One of the ladies no we do need to doing that again. I think she was calling me out about showing off. I walked out of place and strolled around what seemed to be a place similar to Paris. I noticed the French lady from the movie inception, Leo's dead wife. I talked with her for a minute about something I now can't remember. Then again proceed to convict somebody that this is all a dream. I tried to fly a couple times until I got it. Then what happens next is strange, seeing in the reflection of a mirror that I was actually I robot. Someone said I comment like not now then shut me down with a remote. Then when that happened I was me again looking at the shut down robot strange.
