    1. Plethora of dreams! still no lucid though. :(

      by , 01-09-2012 at 01:03 AM
Well, last night i tried a couple different times to do WILD and once again, i did not fully succeed. Although, i did have MANY different dreams that were quiet..wierd. I dreamed 1st that i was some kind of journalist sent to Iraq to take pictures and saw alot of action. When i returned home, my wife was worried that i was never going to be her husband again..then something about seeing a friend on some sort of tv show or movie or something..Finally, this morning when it was time to get up and go to work, i closed my eyes and was having HG images and sounds! I was so excited and aggrivated at the same time because i knew i had to get up and couldnt expirement with it at that time or i would be late for work. I have been doing reality checks all day today and trying to prepare myself for tonight..i am hopeful that my ability to test a couple different methods every night will increase my chances. 2. Riding Totoro Out of the White House [lucid]

      by , 01-08-2012 at 08:03 PM (I Have a Problem)
      Date: 01-08-12
      Length: 15 Minutes
      Clarity: 10/10
      Control: 10/10

I was laying in bed using Ev's Singularity App when I began to WILD without even trying.
      My mind was already asleep.

I got up from my bed and Sean and Reina were there, I think they were talking about Daily Grace.
To stabilize the dream I started spinning really fast and rubbing my hands together. I almost fell over at one point, and was beginning to black out, so I decided I should go slower and be more careful.
I looked at my closet doors and I told myself "when I walk through those doors, I'm going to be in Barack Obama's bedroom. I opened the door and sure enough, Michelle Obama was laying in her bed in her pjs giving me the weirdest look. I walked down their stairs which turned into Y-po and Y-gong's house.
I remembered telling Stephanie that if I lucid dreamt, I would dream of flying on Totoro's stomach like Satsuki and Mei. I told myself that when I opened the front door, Totoro would be standing there with his top, waiting for me. I opened the front door and I see Totoro just hovering in my grandparent's fountain. I run up to him and for some reason there was a big pile of dog poo on the edge of the fountain. I jump on his stomach and we begin to fly away. We passed the neighbors' kids and I heard one of them say, "It's Totoro!". We flew higher and higher and I told myself once we landed somewhere I would be like Harry Potter and cast spells and fly around on a broom. Totoro's fur was super soft and kind of carpet-y. I closed my eyes for a second while feeling it and realized what a stupid idea that was.

I woke up staring at my wall..

    3. A Royal Wedding, An Archenemy, and a Naked Matt

      by , 01-08-2012 at 08:58 AM (Am I Awake?)
The dream began with me, my mother, father, two older sisters, their kids, and grandparents all dressed very nicely, being seated in what seemed to be an opera house-type auditorium. The giant red curtains were closed in front of us. There was orchestral music playing throughout the room. Everyone seemed excited. There were large, flowing white ribbons all around us, hanging from the ceiling. Someone was getting married.

The curtains opened up, and everyone clapped. Behind the curtains, though, was blackness. It was almost like the beginning of a movie, but we weren't there to see a movie. Suddenly, in some of the most vivid, extraordinary, magical detail I ever remember experiencing in a dream, bright green flowers and leaves began to protect themselves like holograms out from behind the stage, over the audience; like the beginning of a show. I would say the dream felt very realistic, but honestly, it was a feeling of hyper realism - this could never actually happen. Suddenly, the audience was being flown through a three dimensional holographic realm of an enchanted forest. If you've seen the opening of Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast,' I'd equate it to that.

Suddenly, the holographic opening was over, and the stage was set with rows of chairs on the left and right, and in the middle, a flowering arch. Underneath was a prince, wearing a white military uniform, holding a saber. A voice echoed through the room. "We will now seat the family of our most prestigious guests."

Then, people began to file in from back stage, sitting in the chairs on stage. Then, someone I thought I knew appeared. He had long, flowing Fabio-like hair. He was smug, arrogant, clumsy, and wearing an awful-looking vest. I felt inside that I... I absolutely hated him for some reason. Behind him was a very prim girl I understood to be his sister, and not his date, for some reason. Then, a wild, possibly retarded child followed her. He had dark red hair and very haunting eyes. Behind him was another girl, though much less attractive than the first, and she had black curly hair.

More people sat down, but I only seemed to care about these four, though. They were misbehaving and it was making me angry, because this was a big deal.

When the ceremony was about to start, though... I noticed I was nude. This should have been the obvious moment for me to have realized 'Hey. I'm dreaming,' other than the holographic forest experience, but... no. I stood up, but didn't want to distract anyone's view of the ceremony with my... well, nakedness. So I took a back route to a strange closet I found at the top of some stairs, in the back.

Inside was a change of clothes, fortunately, but they were gym shorts and a T-shirt; hardly proper dress for such a ceremony. One odd thing about the room, though; it was lined with at least a dozen old TVs... all playing infomercials. Shamwow, Chia Pets, OxyClean, all that kind of stuff.

It was at this point I began to fade back into reality.

I had left my television on, and the commercials playing in reality were leaking into my dreams because of the audio.

I woke up for good, and that was it.

Strange. I would love, love, love to see that holographic forest again, though. It was so... vivid. Unlike anything ever.

    5. Gang Wars II: The Infiltration

by , 01-08-2012 at 01:24 AM (Jakro Goes Hardcore Into LDs)
Again, recall was poor and only fragments, but I'm actually considering that kind of good - I only slept five hours, so remembering anything is pretty good after all. Tonight I'll go through one of my favorite dreams ever.

      Gang Wars II: The Infiltration
      Date: May 15th, 2009
      Lucid: No

I was near one local place, basically equivalent of community center. I was one a backseat of a Mercedes as the car drifted past the community center. There's a school next to it and I was to infiltrate that area. Yeah, I was some kind of agent or something. My hometown was in some kind of gang warfare, that was what I intuitively "knew" about the situation It was dusk, I guess, since it was a bit dark.

There was some guy patrolling in front of the building. He had a pistol on his hand. He looked the Mercedes and seemed suspicious, but let it pass. The Mercedes turned to rowhouses that were next to the building, with some trees and field between them to block the sight.

I jumped out of the car and started moving within the thin trees and then over the field. My mission was to contact a mole that was working undercover in the ranks of the enemy gang, or something like that. When I arrived to the place, there was some other buildings beneath the community center that really aren't there,
but the area was a bit different anyway in the dream. I peeked around the corner of one of the buildings and saw some maintenance guy. I was about to shoot the guy with my silenced pistol, but then I realized that the place was crawling with guards.

The guards in general were youngish guys, where as maintenance guys - who were also everywhere - were basic, middle-aged men, just what you would expect. But what the hell could take so much maintenance?

I wasn't feeling very patient, so I hoped that darkness would cloak my movements as I sprinted out to the sight. I tried to make it between other buildings in the other side. For some reason it seemed like there was more light all the sudden and I was obviously seen. Fuck. Not quite as smooth as James Bond.

I realized that men behind me had certainly seen me already, so I was in a hurry. I continued running and ran into a guard that emerged from between the buildings. Instead of defending himself, the guy lifted his radio to call out the alarm. I shot him. Admirable (or stupid) to sacrifice your own life just to let others know that there is somebody uninvited in. Especially since I was already seen.

I continued my running from between the buildings. Now I had no destination - I was just running somewhere for the sake of running away. This time I met two guards at the same time! I shot one of the guys as I was running towards them. Instead of shooting me, the other guy picked up his buddy's pistol and extended his arm to give it to me. Now I can shoot with two pistols, I thought! I realized that this must be the guy I was looking for. Nice luck.

My mission was to contact him and probably to tell others as well what he said. Well I forgot it, so I guess that's mission failed. Anyway, I still had to get out of there alive.

I continued running and actually the next place I remember is in reality over a mile away from the community center, but I guess in the dream it was closer. I was running on the road by our neighbors and there was some tall guy on their yard - and of course some other gang members as well.

I raised the gun that I had gotten in the enemy's base and pulled the trigger. Click. What? There's no ammo in their guns? What the fuck? I think we are going to win this gang war. Anyway, my original pistol was still working, but my shots were scattering all over creation. There's a downhill after the house and I disappeared down it, from my enemy's perspective. Soon the tall guy ran behind me. He was at the top of the hill and pulled out a sawed-off shotgun. He started screaming after me:
"I'll take care of you! Like I did last time!"

So apparently this is a sequel. Shame that I didn't see the original, I guess it was awesome.

The guy started shooting at me. Instead of staying with my back to him and protecting the back of my head, I kept looking over my shoulder at him and then somehow put my hands in the x-shape in front of my face to protect it from the shots. Some shots still went through and hit my forehead, but they didn't cause serious damage. I didn't experience any pain. I saw myself from outside of me, like in a movie, and noticed that lines of blood were pouring down my face from the wounds the shots caused.

Dream started to fade, but it was near it's logical conclusion anyway. I didn't stay to fight the tall guy, instead I ran home and got away with it.
    6. Astral Projection to Lucid Dream

      by , 01-07-2012 at 11:28 PM
So, I went to bed last night around midnight. When I "woke up" I found myself in the hallway. I was going to the bathroom, because I had to pee. I tried turning on the light switch in the hallway, but it wouldn't turn on. I couldn't see anything but the light coming from the stove in the kitchen, so I headed back towards my room. But as I started to walk, I sort of started to fall, and spin around. That's when I realized that I wasn't awake or dreaming, but was in astral projection! After feeling myself spinning, I fell back into my body. And I still had the feeling of having to pee.

As I was laying in bed, I had this feeling that I was rising up. The last time this happened, I got scared and it stopped. I allowed it this time though, wondering if I was going into astral projection again. I started to hear a rushing sound, and a slight vibration was felt. I had full control of my thoughts, and I figured out that this must be the feeling people describe when going into a lucid dream. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do though. I tried picturing a meadow, but nothing happened. I realized now that I should have done a reality check. A noise from somewhere in the house startled me, though, and I pulled out of this state and fully awoke.

    7. Sad, Quiet.

      by , 01-07-2012 at 03:32 PM
I was up here, but not up here. It was different. The house was big and lovely with hardwood floors, the bottom floor had a front door that led to a staircase, and off to the right there was a dining room and a living room, around the side of the stairs there was a long thin den with a back door, to the left of the stairs there was an enclosed kitchen.

Up the stairs there was a platform with another set of stairs (that could be seen from entrance) that my mom used as art space. The other set of stairs led to bedrooms.

The creature that claimed to be my mother, with her black hair in a chin length bob. She was trying to construct nesting materials and an area for the birds -- the house wasn't isolated anymore, you could see a highway and strip mall out the window, and the birds were gone. That's what made me go lucid, the view out her bedroom window. I knew then that she wasn't really my mom. She was some kind of odd dream creature impersonating a mother, perhaps with the intent to disturb me later with her behavior. She really did seem genuine and sad. She fed a pack of stray dogs that came to the window. I played along, as despite my lucidity, I felt bad for the dream creature -- it was as if she was impersonating a mother because she wanted to be one and couldn't, and I felt somehow obliged to hang around with her for awhile. I decided to just spend some time in a low state of energy letting the dream wash over me, as it would allow me to experience the dream from a lucid perspective for longer.

She did try to disturb me, as I expected -- inviting me to see the basement and attic (where presumably unpleasantness lay, I turned it down) and at one point growing a giant, cartoonish penis and trying to rub it on me. Her efforts seemed so cursory and cliche, it was more depressing than disturbing -- even if I were unaware that I was dreaming I am not sure that it would have done anything but wake me. I said that to her when she grew the dick, I said that I knew what she was, and she evoked no family. She seemed frightened, though not necessarily of me (perhaps of failure) and pressed on, thinly acting like she didn't understand, and I allowed her to have sex with me for a bit, as she seemed very uncomfortable. I had no real feelings about it, except feeling bad for the creature. When I pulled away, the penis was gone.

She went to the window and seemed anxious and upset. I walked back into the den and opened the back door. A weird cartoon was playing, I tried to focus on the lyrics to the theme song but while they had the "feeling" of being words, I got to directly experience the dream-disconnect between what seems normal at a distance (words to a song) and what, when closely examined, either is nonsense or defies examination entirely. This was the latter. No matter how I tried, it seemed I could not possibly focus on it. I had tried hard enough to resolve it into something that made sense that I felt the dream start to fade a bit.

I didn't want to get pulled out without doing something fun, so I slid open the glass door at the back of the house and walked a few steps down the yard -- which ended abruptly in a cliff, probably because I had already decided my intention upon going outside. I flew (with slight difficulty, as I was trying not to get too excited and wake up) over a small town and toward the sea. I knew I couldn't stop the dream fading, but I got far enough to smell the sea air and feel the breeze from the ocean. It was relaxing and refreshing. I "went quietly," allowing myself to be woken. Upon waking I was calm.

    8. Michael Schumacher Formula One Showdown

by , 01-07-2012 at 12:46 PM (Jakro Goes Hardcore Into LDs)
I've actually not yet gone to bed tonight. Or more like "tonight". It's already morning. So let's delve into another classic. This is a short one mainly because I'm lazy. The Formula One fans here will enjoy this one. I can imagine that there's like two of you in whole Dreamviews.

      Michael Schumacher Formula One Showdown
      Date: April 16th 2009
      Lucid: No

So I was watching Formula One on tv. Schumacher, who at the time of the dream was retired, had made a comeback to the races (as he later did irl). Barrichello was his team-mate as had been in the real-life as well. Schumacher went to the pits and there was some trouble, but they managed to deal with it and get him back on the track.

Just as Schumacher exited the pits, Barrichello smashed right into him! Schumacher's car didn't seem that damaged, but Barrichello's car was obliterated. Despite Schumacher's car being seemingly okay to go on, he parked to the trackside. Instead he jumped out of the cockpit and headed straight towards Barrichello.

It seemed like Schumacher would go to console his team-mate, but instead he grabbed Barrichello, ripped him out of his cockpit and started beating the hell out of him!

That's it. Amazing scenes. It was amusing to me when I woke up and it still is.
    9. Surviving the Hindenburg, A Massive Fight, and My Possible DG

      by , 01-07-2012 at 02:26 AM (Burke's Nightly Escapades)
Longest. Dream. Ever. So vivid, so much detail, and much more dialogue than I normally have in my dreams. The whole thing must've lasted 10-15 minutes (in dream time)

I was in a very large city, what I assumed was Tokyo at the time on some sort of school trip. I was on a pathway with some friends and we were walking towards a large deck/patio area that was overlooking a river and the city. When we got to the deck I looked up in the sky and saw the moon was much larger than usual. It seemed to be growing too. I squinted a little bit to try and see it better, and I noticed it was hurtling at us! I didn't move (don't know if I couldn't or just didn't) and just stood there. Nobody else seemed to be paying any attention and I didn't say anything, I just started at the moon flying at us. It crashed into the city beyond the river and there was a huge explosion with massive amounts of debris flying everywhere.

The next thing I knew I was standing on the pathway again, like nothing had ever happened. I looked around, and noticed it was just like before. I didn't really think anything of it and continued to walk with my friends towards the deck again. When we got there I asked my friend Tyler about what happened. He said, "What are you talking about? Nothing happened, and the moon difinitely didn't fall out of the sky. Look," he pointed up, "it's right there." I looked up where he was pointing and sure enough there was the moon, siting in the sky, certainly not hurtling towards us. I found this very odd, and started to quesiton things. I figured I might as well to a RC. I plugged my nose, tried to breath in and
it worked! I was in a dream, the third one in a row

I imediately felt the dream start to fade and quickly started to rub my hands together to no success. I decided to try spinning to prolong the dream and kept spinning around and around. I didn't want to open my eyes, thinking that I would wake up, but after I had spun for about 30 seconds and wasn't lying down, I figured I could stop and I would be alright. I opened my eyes and I was still on the deck, but nobody was there. I thought of what to do, and I immediately thought of the TotY. The first one that came to mind was the first camera, but I didn't really feel like doing that one for some reason. Instead, I decided to survive the hindenburg disaster.

I pictured the large baloon floating over an airfield (like I remember seeing in old videos) and snapped my fingers, thinking to myself, "take me there." In a flash I was inside a small room, what looked like a cockpit. There were two people in the room with me and I noticed they had modern pilot uniforms on. I didn't think much of it and leaned over them to look out the window. I proceeded to accidently knock over one of their coffees, "Hey! Watch it!" he yelled. I back away quickly, surprised at his sudden activity. I noticed that the cup was full, and it had gotten all over the controls. A few sparks appeared and I started to get nervous, as did the pilots.

I rubbed my hands some more, making sure I had a good hold on the dream. I had a feeling this would be the cause of the crash, and I was right. The blimp immediately started diving forward, and the pilots pulled back on the controls as hard as they could, trying to get the blimp to rise. I could hear passengers screaming in the back when a flight attendant came in. "What's going on!? Why are we falling out of the sky!?" She sounded surprisingly calm for being in an aircraft that was about to crash. "This dumbass spilled coffee all over the controls!" One of them yelled. I backed away a little bit and put my arms up like I was innocent, "It was an accident! I didn't mean to!" I claimed.

Then, one of the pilots must've had a light bulb go off over his head, because in an instant, he shouted, "Wait! I have an idea!" He then took his coffee, and poured it all over the controls! "What the hell are you doing!?" I demanded. "Just wait," he replied. After only a few seconds, we levelled out, and were at a safe trajectory again. "What the... how did you know that would work?" I asked. "We are in a dream, you know." He replied, quite sarcastically. I shrugged it off and walked back into the main room where all the passengers were. Then I noticed a guy with a cigarette in his mouth and some matches in his hand. "NO!! Don't do that!" I yelled, but it was too late. He struck the match and the entire vessel instantly burst into flames.

There was tons of flames in the passenger area and I ran back into the cockpit where there wasn't any fire yet. "What the hell was that!?" One of the pilots demanded. "Some idiot just lit a match and now the entire things burst into flames!" I replied. "Then light another match! You know, dreams?" It did make sense, given that he fixed the earlier problem by pouring more coffee onto it. I went back into the other room with the other passengers who were all freaking out. This time it was actually very hot and I started to sweat. I felt like I just ran a marathon and got thrown into a sauna, minus the steam. I pulled a matchbook out of my back pocket (no idea how they got there). To my dismay, as I opened them they immediately burst into flames from the already roaring fire. I guess that plan's out .

I went back into the cockpit where it was starting to get warm, but there still weren't flames. "So? Did it work?" The same pilot asked. "Not exactly..." I replied, "they burst into flames before I could light them." "Damn," he said, obviously discouraged, "that was our only plan. Well, I guess there's nothing left to do but sit back and enjoy death." Jeez, that seemed a little dark. "Doesn't really matter to me," I said calmly, "I just need to ride this out so I can finish the TotY." It was true after all, if I had saved the blimp then I would've failed my task. "That is such a dreamer's additude." The other pilot added in. "How do you know I'm dreaming?" I asked. "Duh," he said sarcastically, "I'm part of your subconscious. You know, your brain? I know everything you know, and things you don't know you know."

"Like what?" I asked, equally sarcastic. "Now then," he said, "this is no place to have an intelectual discussion. We're all-most of us are going to die here." Damn... I actually felt like a douche, but he was right, we're about to crash. "Can you just answer me one quesiton?" I asked. "Yes. There, I answered your quesiton, now shut up so I can enjoy my death." He replied. Jeez, my subconscious is even more sarcastic than I am. "Thats not what I meant. I want to ask you where my dream guide is. I've always wondered who/what it is but never found him/her/it." It was true, I was very curious about who my DG was. "Don't you see? It's right in front of you, it's-"

At this point the blimp finally crashed into the ground. The force threw me forward into the windshield, but it didn't break. Ow... The cockpit I was in finally caught on fire, and it was even hotter than the other room. I could feel my skin starting to melt, but it didn't hurt, just uncomfortable, like when you get a moderate cramp, only it was all over my body. I wanted to get out. Now. I pushed my way through the burning wreckage and punched out the window. I could barely squeeze through but there was a small openeing right on the ground about 2 feet high. I crawled out and walked into the bright sun. I turned around at the hindenburg and it was only a shell of what was once the greatest airship ever. I must've been the only one out.

It wasn't until a few seconds later when a man ran over to me with a fire extinguisher in his hands that I noticed I was still on fire. I told him to back off because i wanted to try something. I did another small energy burst (See two dreams ago) and the fire pretty much evaporated. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Yeah I'm fine, but do you know if the pilot made it out?" I wanted to know what he was about to say and if he was really going to tell me who my DG was. "You're the only one who I've seen come out. Come on, you look terrible." I looked down into a puddle of water and noticed that all my hair had been singed off and my skin was black aroudn my face. I looked down and my arms and noticed my shirt was gone, but my pants were still there (thank god).

I walked over to the bleachers where the crowd had been watching the blimp fly around and sat down on the first one. I looked back at the blimp again and noticed that it was just a pile of charred rubble. Then, I noticed a figure walking away. It was the pilot! Unfortunately, it wasn't the one who I had been talking to, but the other one who had just sat there silent the entire time. I ran up to him and noticed he had a disappointed look on his face, almost angry. Right as I got close to him he spun around and kicked me right in the side of my head! It was a damn hard hit and pushed me about 20 feet off to the side but I managed to stay on my feet. "What the hell was that for!?" I yelled at him.

"Thats what you get for being yet another arrogant son of a bitch to come into this dream." Wow, he was angry! "What the hell do you mean?" I demanded. I was seriously confused. Was I really being that much of a jerk? "Back there, in the blimp, when you said 'Doesn't really matter to me, I just need to ride this out so I can finish the TotY.'" In a mocking tone like you would when you repeat what someone says to point out the obvious. "That is one of the cockiest things I've ever heard."
(Looking back, he did kind of have a point) "What are you talking about? It's my dream, and besides, you're just a figment of my imagination. A projection of my subconscious to simulate the waking world."

"Oh, but I'm much more than that. Yes, I am a projection of your-" he cleared his throat, "-our subconscious, but that doesn't mean I'm not real. In here, what you see is all real. What was that one thing you always said? 'Perception is reality?' Well, you were right. And, even though you may think you perceive thise to be just a dream, to me, to your subconscious, we perceive this as complete reality." Wow, this is getting really serious! This stuff is insane . "That may be," I said, slowly, "but you're still a part of me, and if I perceive this to be a dream, then it is a dream."

"You're right," he said. He actually sounded like he just thought realized something. "This is a dream, but who's to say dream aren't reality? This is all real. Right now, your brain is still sending signals to your body and itself. Your heart is beating in here, as well as in your physical body, lying in your bed. What you're seeing, hearing, feeling. What you're smelling and even tasting, is all going into your memory. Saying this dream isn't real is like saying memories aren't real. You remember going snowboarding last night, right?"
(I did go snowboarding last night) "That was real, wasn't it? But all it is now is just a memory, and soon, this will just be a memory. Saying this dream isn't real is like saying everything that has ever happened isn't real, and who are you to say what is and isn't reality?" (I maye have left some parts out, but this is about 95% accurate)

"And now..." He said, "I think it's time I put you in your place." He charged at me, incredibly fast. "Wait wait wait, hold on a sec-" *SMACK!* I felt a huge sharp pain in my ribs. Everything started to go blurry, and I struggled to raise my hands together. I started to rub them and focus on the warmth and feeling, "Uh-uh," he yelled, "You're not stabalizing that easily! I'll make you wake yourself up!" At this point i was on my knees, trying to regain my breath, when suddenly my neck snapped back. He had kicked me square in the jaw. But then it hit me: it's not about rubbing your hands together, it's about focusing on your senses and how it feels to do so. "No, you're the one who's wrong," I squeezed out. "You see, the more you hit me, the more pain I feel, and the more senses I have to anchor myself to this "alternate reality" you say we are in."

I focused on my chest, on my jaw, neck, and even the burns from the crash. The more I thought about it, the more it hurt, but the more vivid the dream became. "Ah, but I can see it on your face," he snickered. "The more you focus on the pain, the stronger it becomes." Spot on, he hit the nail on the head. "But you forget," I told him, "I have nearly mastered dream control, and any pain I feel I can easily change. You know, the mind interprets pain and sex in the same area of itself. If sexual thoughts can be used to diminish pain in waking life, then why could it not work in the dream world? After all, it's all in your head."

At this point I was back on my feet, and pictured the pain in my chest and jaw to pleasure in my "private area." It worked better than I thought. So well in fact I nearly ejaculated and could feel the dream fade just a tiny bit. I imagined a bit of the new pleasure as pain to even it out, and it worked perfectly. I had some minor discomfort in my chest, and some moderate pleasure "down there."

"I see," he replied, "it looks as if it has worked. Well then, let the realy fire start!" I immediately yelled back, "You asked for it!" I flexed all the muscles in my right hands and formed a fireball about the size of a medicine ball. I lurched back and flew forward in an all out sprint. At this point time seemed to slow down 10 fold, so that one normal second took a good 10 seconds to happen. We were only about 50 feet away and I halved that distance in the blink of an eye, or about 3 seconds of slow-motion. I swung my arm around as hard as I could (8 years of baseball finally paying off) and aimed right for his head. Right as it left my hand he leaned to the left and I flew past him. I spun around so that my back was facing the ground and I could see his knee about to come up, going straight for my back.

I arched my back as hard as I could and turned it into a back handspring. "Not bad," he said, "for a dreamer." For some reason, that pissed me off. I'm normally a very cool headed guy. In fact, whenever I play video games with friends they will always get pissed off and I'll have to tell them to calm down, while they're all screaming their heads off. But not this time. Without thinking, I formed another fireball and went after him again. This time though, I threw the fireball at him earlier, and followed through on the throw to turn it into a side flip, and rotated that into a chartweel type move, and pushed yet another fireball off each of my feet, on either side of him, so no matter which way he moved, he would get hit. However, he jumped straight into the air, about 100 feet, avoiding all three fireballs.

"Quite the moves you got there," he said, "but you'll have to do better than that to beat me!" He dove down head first straight at the ground, fast enough to cause him to burst into flames like a meteor. Having just recovered from my little stunt, I saw him out of the corner of my eye smash into the ground. A huge crater formed and I was pushed back several hundred feet. He walked casually out of his crater and moved so fast he just appeared next to me in the blink of an eye. "Now, like I said before, It's time you learn your place!" I felt a massive force on the back of my head and I'm pretty sure I was forced into the ground. The force was so great that I
woke up in my bead, heart going crazy, sweating like hell and completely disoriented. Wow. Now that was a dream. I'm starting to wonder whether or not that was my DG, and if what he said was really true. I quickly wrote down all the main points as well as the majority of the dialogue, but I had school again that morning and I had little time to actually get into detail.

Nevertheless, I got part of the TotY done, had en epic fight, and possibly met my DG.

    10. Haunting Dreams (Continued)

      by , 01-07-2012 at 12:20 AM
I've been having these awful nightmares for the last two weeks or so and they went from bad to worse. At first it was just language like symbol pattern that clouded my subconscious like a thick fog. On the other side were terrifying images of demons attacking and feeding on my closest of friends.
I also saw a girl I knew that killed herself five years ago for unknown reasons. In the nightmare I saw her, only she looked like she had still been aging as thought she hadn't died. She has blood around her mouth and pooling from her eyes. She kept saying something in a possessed voice. Something that sounded like a warning.
      That was a week ago...
Since then I've been seeing her sitting or standing just at the corner of my vision. Just after I would look to where she was, she would disappear. The moment I lost sight of her I would get an intense migraine and see the symbols and her her voice is that haunting voice.
Just yesterday I glanced at my desk chair and thought I saw someone sitting in it. When I looked again I saw Her. She was shivering and held my knife that was sitting next to my bed. She unsheathed it and just as I was forming the words "Don't do it!" she slices a large cut in her neck.
Then I heard her voice, this time in English as she vanishes. Her voice sounds like a sweet whisper in my ears. "Don't stop the fight. Just keep your friends few and close. Be prepared for the coming year."
Just after the voice stopped I felt a searing pain in my head and I blacked out for about two hours.
I think I know what she's talking about "be prepared." I'm not sure I should post what I think she means, but I will be doing some research of my own. That might include... let's just say it ain't gonna be pretty if my theory IS correct. I pray to God that I'm dead wrong. Time will tell.
    11. The Dream which Didn't Obey (First Decent LD!)

Colors of text and what they mean:
      Non-lucid
      Lucid
      Notes
      Comments

(These were inspired by KingYoshi's DJ entries)

      Dream info:

Lucid/Non-lucid: Lucid (lost lucidity at some point)
Type of induction (if lucid): None (Aware from the start)
      Duration: 1/2 minutes
      Vividness: Not vivid

      Dream:

I had this dream a long time ago, but decided to post it now. I was lazzy
I'm lucid. I don't know how, I just am. I know my family is near me, so I ask my mother "Am I dreaming?" She says negative. For some reason, I ask her this several times (I probably asked others the same too, I can't remember) and always get "No." as an answer. I still know I'm lucid.

I try to change the dreamscape. I close my eyes, and then open them. Doesn't work. I try it several times, but it was fruitless. "It's amazing how aware I am," I note to myself (Which is ironic, because I was far from being totally aware). I remember I always wanted to start a lucid in a car, so I tell my mother we should use it to go somewhere. "Sure," she answeres, and we go out of the building. I, trying to change the landscape for the last time, close my eyes and shut my ears with my palms, but there is too much noise. I am not concentrated and I can't do it. I try to calm everyone around me to no avail.

(I believe I lost lucidity at this point, I just know how this continued)
I was in a shopping mall, near a restaurant in it. I look to see where the plates should be (It's the kind of restaurant where you take a plate and move in the line to get food from several places) and instead, there are caldrons. I don't know if I took one, I just know I am in the line. While I don't see the person next to me, I know she is my online friend from Romania. She is taking some delicious meat. I decide I should take the same. I eat the meat and find it delicious (I felt taste, which is rare for me).

This was probably the end of the dream. I wake up either then or a bit later, being very enthusiastic about having my first LD that lasted for more than a second!
    12. The Boy And Girl

      by , 01-06-2012 at 08:27 AM
it was like entering a friends house somewhere you've been a thousand times you're not afraid of being there though you always have some small thred of reservations about having to stay there, its a little out of your comfort zone but still curiosity involves, it started as me realizing "well im here, i need to stay here, theres something good about this place, and something familiar and devestating all at the same moment" first i was introduced to this girl, i think blond girl age around ???well younger than me but not by much...there was something familiar and well having to say intimate about being so close to her again...she needed my help but she never spoke, it was almost like a sixth sense picking up on it, i had to help her, i knew about 50% that i was in a state of dreaming, this wasnt my most lucid dream but it was the most recent, so all in all the dream shifted to a very extravagant state where there was enemies all around but not seen, all i knew is if i save this girl, if i protect her, it will bring me what i was looking for, "in a sense i dont even know what that en tales so i went to a point of exhaustion doing random things that made all the sense in the LD but in retrospect it was a very abstract lucid dream and at every turn she became more apparent to me it felt as if we knew each other from long and long ago back when all life was just a mystery to uncover and we did it together from childhood we knew each other she was there in every great moment of my younger life, i was so blindly determined to be next to this Memorabilia from childhood it was like a calling i remember thinking i cant leave now, not not...just then i had succsesfully hounded off the intruders and turned to look at her being taken off by a boy, a boy i didnt recognize she looked almost sad in her eyes but a sense of familiarity towards the boy i knew she knew him and was half sure she'd be fine but it was like a voice saying its not your time, not now...i was so frustrated by all this i wanted to leave, to leave and forget all this, before i woke into conscience i clearly heard a sweet goodbye from this ghost of a friend that i mabey once thought i knew in a past i may have never had......

    13. Zombies vs. Christians

by , 01-06-2012 at 02:36 AM (Jakro Goes Hardcore Into LDs)
Last night was underwhelming once again in terms of dream recall - or I should say last day, and I only slept 6 hours. I have been struggling to sleep at night and it's interfering with my recall. Compared to my usual recall this has not been at all worse though. I am still struggling in cultivating a habit of actually making notes of my dreams right after I wake up. I should just do it. On a brighter note I have remembered at least fragments on five days in a row. Probably doesn't sound much especially coming from a guy that has been into LDs for three years, but my record stands at mere 27 days in a row. I hope that I beat it come the end of the January.

So anyway that means that you're in for another "classic" dream. As always I'm only rewriting the lengthy or otherwise memorable dreams here.

      Zombies vs. Christians
      Date: March 5th, 2009
      Lucid: No
I was playing some kind of a hack 'n' slash multiplayer game - except that in my dreams, games are never games but rather I'm really in their worlds. There were two sides - Zombies and Christians. Your standard match-up... not. I was fighting with a battle-axe and our team was fighting along some ramp, slaying our opponents. I was obviously on the zombie side as I'm so vehemently anti-christian.

The main group of opponents started coming up the ramp. There was some kind of fence on the ramp, but that would have been easily surpassed should they have wanted it - but I guess they didn't see us, as they went into some mansion through the door behind the ramp.

I followed them. Inside the mansion there were coffins. I presumed that there would be zombies inside the coffins, but no. The zombies were lying on the tables in the next room, where I noticed one of the Christians crouching and "defusing" the zombie with his cross. Similarly how the bomb is defused in Counter-Strike. WTF? Zombie Counter-Strike? I'd play that. It's a bit odd though, usually in games and movies zombies are just shot to pieces, not "defused" with a cross... Well, whatever. Anyway I was in control of these lying zombies. At some point they got up and started walking whenever I was looking.

I took something that look like a pancake, inserted it into my mouth. I needed to speak into it to command the zombies. I hadn't done that earlier because it would have given off my location. Now the room only had some woman with my zombie. I put it into my mouth and commanded... "Kill me." Oops. I don't know what brainfuck happened there, but even the zombie looked surprised. Then it started to walk towards me. "No no no, kill the woman", I corrected myself then.

The zombie took it's time on killing the woman and she didn't look at all happy about my command. She started walking towards me ominously.

I retreated outside, constantly repeating the command "kill the woman!" through the pancake, or whatever. The zombie and the woman kept following me. Once I was outside, some of my teammates, who for some reason were just idling outside, came to my assist.

All the sudden some guy comes up to the zombie and says that he is sick of it doing things so slowly. The guy kept talking and I don't remember what he said in between, but somehow he managed to shift the subject to some new law, that said that you couldn't play more than 250 hands of poker a day anymore. He told that it was frustrating, especially for a pro like him, given that he had to meet the betting requirements of bonuses etc.

I just looked at him flabbergasted. I had forgotten about zombies and all. The I collected myself and just answered: "I'm not obeying that law."

That's it, now to wait when the Zombie Counter-Strike gets published.
    14. Well, it’s about time

      [probably D3]

Like the title implies, I’ve been waiting. Not so patiently. And......... LUCIDITY!!! [I think.]

Okay, so I was having a dream (duh) where I was talking to my friend A while on some sort of field trip or museum tour of some sort. Without any prompt at all, I became lucid and promptly began doing what any sane veteran of lucidity lore and study would do in my situation.
      I started royally freaking out.
Really, I was getting all sorts of excited. I even grabbed A by the shoulders and said “Hey! I’m dreaming! I know I’m dreaming!”
And... shortly after that, the dream ended. I didn’t even wake up from all that freaking out, I just... stopped dreaming.

      Stupid happiness overload.

The weird thing is that my recall of the whole thing is no more vivid than my average (recalled) dream. That might be due to my late (or technically early) bedtime last night (again, technically morning) cutting down on my sleep and clarity relatively, but...
      Eh. Who knows.

Anyways. I am now officially a lucidity virgin no more.
    15. Reality Check in dream works

      by , 01-05-2012 at 09:22 PM
It has been a long time since I have had any lucid dreams.

Last night / this morning I was having a dream and woke up. I decided to do a reality check so I looked at the clock and noted the time. I then looked away, looked back and the time was way off. I did it a third time to see a different number and I realized I was dreaming.

I remember the false awakening was so realistic. I tried to reason with myself that it was so realistic I must be awake. Not sure why I remembered to do the reality check but glad I did.

I don't think the lucid dream part lasted very long. I remember vague parts of it like trying to jump up in the air and fly but it didn't work. I also remember entering a room and trying to create people. I was successful to a degree.... I don't remember the people having detail like faces, they were more like mannequins.

I also remember tying to "Spin" to keep myself in the lucid dream. I believe I was successful.
