I found myself in a warehouse where I usually work in waking life. I was talking to a co-worker and he tried to show me this paper. As I took it from him and tried to focus my eyes on it, I realize my vision was very blurry. I thought this was odd due to the fact that I wear contacts. I remember looking around and realize everything around me was very blurry. Almost to total darkness. I started to pick at my eyeball to remove the contacts. That's when everything went in to total darkness as I started to realize I was lucid dreaming. I could still feel my dream body but then even that went away and I could feel my physical body laying in bed. I made sure my eyes were close and my body was still unable to move. With in a few short seconds I felt consciousness zap back in to the dream world. My dream body felt like it was in tremendous pain. I could feel myself getting up from the floor. As I look around I notice I was in outer space inside a space ship. I couldn't believe it lol. This is the first time I am in outer space lucid anyway. I went up to the large window and saw the stars and the colored gas around me. It was amazing, I then went through some odd technology that got me to the other parts of the ship. This ship was huge inside, had many places with a lot of zig zag like passages. I continue walking as I saw an eye of ra sign stamp on one of the windows. I then finally saw people and I could now tell the dream scene change to me being outside and no longer in space. I walk through a couple of people and didn't bother talking to any of them. I then approach these 3 very tall women and told them they seem odd. They didn't like what I said and sent two goons that came out of no where. Once I saw this I began to laugh and start running. They follow me to this gate where I decided to use some dream control and made float up to the gate and glue them on there. I then started climbing a rope to see how far I could get up top the house without feeling physically fatigue. I then saw the guys break free of their confinement and began chasing me again. I jogged through grass feeling great. I felt I could stay in this dream for a very long time. I then continue jogging in till I saw another co-worker of mine. I began talking to her after we greeted each up and I was just stunned that she appeared exactly as a replica in waking life. I had to assure myself that I was indeed dreaming. She sounded the same too and I explore the dream world with and explain to her what this was. Since I know in waking life she likes to question everything. Soon my brother came along and talk to me. After that I wanted to wake up and made myself awaken.
I had a new dream last night involving riding between my mom and my sister. In this dream, it was June 1998, the summer after my freshman year in college when I was 19 years old. In this dream, my mom borrowed my uncles 1980’s white Mazda pickup truck so we could go to Home Depot to get a new grill for our dad for Father’s Day. The dream was very vivid. When the dream starts, we are getting ready to leave the house to go to Home Depot. When mom sees that I am ready to go, she suggests that I go on out and get in the truck. She reminds me that I will be riding in the middle since it is an even day and my sister has chosen to sit by the window. I try to argue with mom about this since my sister is younger and shorter than me and could get by in the middle better. I tell mom that I will just follow them in my Jeep, but she says that she really wants the 3 of us ride together in the truck. I look outside and see the truck is also parked behind my Jeep and know I am stuck riding in the middle of the truck since it is blocking my Jeep in. When mom again asks me to go on out to the truck, I reluctantly walk outside and towards to small white Mazda pick-up that is parked behind my Jeep in the driveway. When I get to the passenger side door, I open it and take a seat on the light brown vinyl bench seat. I close the door and then slowly slide over to the middle seat where I will have the sit. It is a summer day and the vinyl seat is kind of hot of my legs. The middle seat is really uncomfortable since I have to put my feet on a hump and straddle the stick shift while my knees bump against the a/c controls. Since I am by myself in the truck, I decide to move back to the passenger seat since there is no point sitting in the middle when I am in the truck by myself. I go ahead and buckle the shoulder belt hoping my sister will just climb over me and get in the middle if I am already in the passenger seat. After a minute of two in the truck, in noticed that the cab stinks and is starting to get hot so I turn the brown cranks to roll down the windows. Soon fresh air is coming in cooling off the cab and making things smell better. After I have been waiting in the truck about 5 minutes, I see my sister walking out of the house and towards the truck. She is wearing a white graphic t-shit, light blue bell bottom jeans, and tan wedge sandals. When she gets to the passenger side door and opens it up and tells me to scoot over because I am riding in the middle. I reluctantly undo my seat belt and move again to the uncomfortable middle seat. She suggests I go ahead and buckle-up. I tell her I will buckle when mom get in. She reminds me that I need to go ahead and buckle before she gets in since she will be sitting over my buckle. I reluctantly put the brown lap belt around my waist and then my sister gets into the passenger seat beside me. I have to lean towards the driver’s seat so that my sister can get her seatbelt in the buckle. While we wait for mom, we are wedged-up against each other. My feet are both on the brown hump in the middle with my knees bumping up against the a/c controls and my legs straddling the stick shift. Not long after she gets in, she also notices the cab smells bad. I am now noticing the strong smell of her vanilla body spray and her breath which stinks. My nose is now being tortured between the smell of the cab, my sisters body spray, and her breath. I am not enjoying waiting for mom. My sister keeps invading my space, putting her head on my shoulder, smiling at me, and breathing in my face. I cannot get away from her and just want mom to come on out so we can get to Home Depot and back home. Mom finally is locking-up the house about 15-20 minutes after my sister got in the truck. She opens the driver’s side door and sits down in the empty driver’s seat. As soon as she is in her seat and has closed her door her body is wedge-up against my left side like my sister is wedged up against my right. I am officially squished between them with no personal space. As mom is putting the key in the ignition, she also comments that something smells bad. I tell her the truck smelled when I got in. While she is talking, I notice her breath is worse than my sisters. It takes mom a few minutes of turning the key and pumping on the accelerator before she gets the truck started. One it starts, she reaches for the shifter between my legs and shifts it to reverse. The drive to Home Depot lasts about 15 minutes and is not very pleasant. I am wedged between my mom and sister with no personal space. I can smell their breath whenever they talk and sometimes my sister is putting her head on my shoulder because she knows it annoys me. I just hope that no-one I know will see my riding between my mom and sister in my uncles’ crappy old truck. When we are parked at Home Depot, my sister opens the passenger side door and she and then I get out of the truck. It feels great to finally have some personal space again. As we are walking through the parking lot, mom tells me I should check my shoe because it looks like I stepped in something. I look get to a traffic island and see that I have stepped in a big pile of dog poop and that is what I was smelling in the truck. I spend a few minutes trying to clean my shoe on the gravel in the traffic island and then head into Home Depot and meet-up with my mom and sister in front of the grills. By the time I get to them, they have already picked-out the grill they want to get for him. There is another gill I think dad would like better, but they have already made their mind up and overrule me. We wait a while for an employee to come and get the large box for the grill we want down form an upper shelf and then put it on a flat shopping cart. I want to go look around, but mom wants me to stay with them so we will be ready to leave once we get the grill. Once the grill is on the shopping cart, we wait for a while in the check-out line since the store is crowded. Again, I want to look around, but mom wants me to stay with them. We finally get checked out and then leave the store and head back towards the truck. Once we get back to the truck, it takes both me and my sister to get the grill from the flat orange shopping cart to the bed of the truck. When we have it loaded, I see that mom has already unlocked and opened the passenger side door. I offer to take the cart back to the store, but mom says she will handle since I need to get in the truck first since I am in the middle. My sister is ready to get in and so I have to go ahead and get in the truck and slide over to the middle seat. As soon as I am buckled, she gets into the passenger seat and closed the door. I am thankful that the truck doesn’t smell as bad as it did earlier, and I did not track any dog poop into it. My sister and I have to wait for a few minutes because mom sees some she knows and is talking to them. I am thankful it is not someone I recognize. While we wait for mom, my sister is invading my space again and breathing in my face. Mom eventually gets in and gets the truck started after just a few cranks. The drive back is as unpleasant as the ride over was with both of them invading my space and breathing in my face. On the way home, mom stops at a gas station because she wants to return the truck to my uncle with a full tank. I offer to get out and pump the gas but end up being stuck waiting in the truck with my sister because she doesn’t want to get out. We have to wait for around 10 minutes while mom pumps the gas and then goes in to pay and my sister keeps putting her head on my shoulder again and breathing in my face. When mom gets back in, the truck starts right up, and we drive back home. When we get back home, my sister and I have to get the grill out of the back of the truck and then carry it to my dads’ workshop in the back yard while mom gets a sheet to cover it with. The grill is heavy, and we have to stop and take a few breaks between the truck and the tool shed. The dream ends when I get back to the house and lay down on the couch in the family room to watch TV. I am very happy to finally have my own space and not be stuck between them.
On Tuesday night, I had really disturbing dream I have from time to time about my fathers passing this summer. This is the first time I have had this dream since before Christmas. The dream starts with me driving my SUV rushing to get to the hospital because my father has had a few setbacks and my not survive. I get to the hospital and spend the day with him and other family members. He is still lucid and carrying on converstations with all of us. During the day, we have several scares where his vitals drop to dangerous levels but they keep bouncing back. My uncle and I decide to spend the night at the hospital with him since his vitals are still not stable for long periods of time. Everything seems to be going ok for the first few hours and then around 11PM they start dropping out of control and the doctors tell my uncle and I we need to let the rest of the family know. I wake up form this dream when I am pulling out my cell phone to call my mom and let her know dad has taken a turn for the worse and she needs to get to the hospital. I did not have this dream recur last night (1/15). I normally go a long time between when it recurs and hope that continues to happen since it is so disturbing and reminds me of the worse night of my life.
I am in some convenience store, waiting for Makayla. I think she said she would be right back or something. She’s taking forever though, and even the Indian? clerk in here notices it. I watch as he rings up two Hispanic? men for a six pack. I think the beer is some bigger name brewery but a weird fruit flavor. I then think it might not be half bad, in a guilty pleasure kind of way. I think about how six packs don’t last that long. Tired of waiting, I talk out and to the right to go find her. It is pretty dark out. There is a covering over a few spaces in this lot. There is also a pool table, at which Makayla is lining up a shot. She seems me and keeps on smiling without a care in the world.
I am looking at a house for rent with Melissa. It looks like it is in the South Meadows area. It looks nice and fairly inconspicuous from the street, but when we get inside I am really impressed. There are nice wood floors and two levels. The stairs end in a little landing that overlooks the first floor. I open the back doors, stepping onto a patio that is unenclosed and almost flush with the surrounding marshland. The sun is setting, filling the clouds with a cotton candy pink that contrasts beautifully with the winter blue of the sky. This coupled with the reflections in the water creates a beautiful, peaceful scene that I feel immersed in. Back inside, I express to Melissa how much I like this place. I was thinking the rent was $1,800, but when we step out front I see a paper taped to a window that says $3,800. I tell Melissa, but I think she already knew. Kris now appears and says something about a family just moving in or out - out, I think. We then follow her into her house which is right over here. The inside seems fairly simple, yet homey.
I've been having a somewhat better dream recall average than I normally would, but haven't been taking note of dreams enough and my last DJ here was ages ago now. This is a particularly memorable dream fragment from this week. Dream Fragment: First half is missing. Was in my home city, or some altered version of it. It was day time and I was heading home on foot; there was a fluid transition to my arrival home but I've forgotten the detail of it, and when I got there it was dark at that point. My dad was in his car and approached me and told me to get in the car so we could go somewhere (for a meal or something?) - I was a bit reluctant, I was feeling in pain and really tired; mom was sat at the back with one of my brothers (T) and one of my cousins (R) was sat at the front, so I sat next to mom. Dad started driving and very shortly after, we were going through some surreal highway that I've seen in some other dream fairly recently; surrounded by cliffs and 10-story buildings on top of the cliffs. It then turned into a rock and dirt road and there were dark abysses either side of the road, with more cliffs in the distance. I was a bit apprehensive too, but mom was starting to get quite worried and told dad, in the same way as I ever expect. He reassured her with a smile, saying: "It's fine, I've driven on these roads loads of times!". Very shortly after he said that, we went over a bump in the road, but there was nothing on the other side. The car fell straight into one of those abysses, none of us seemingly very concerned by this, plunging into water at the bottom. At first we didn't try to get out; I remember thinking "Well it doesn't really matter" but eventually we all got out and swam up. When we got to the surface of the water, some sort of root-like things descended toward us and took us to a sort of rocky area under a much bigger floating mass of rock. At the centre of this area there was some sort of little shop. I remember going in and seeing all these small 4:3 CRT TV screens, each one no bigger than my head, sat on shelves, almost perfectly spaced apart. Each one of the screens had a landscape view in it, like a live feed, but not much was going on in any of them. It was a colourful shelf to look at. As I walked along this narrow path between these big metal shelves with the TVs, something caught my attention on top of one shelf. A moonstone, but not as bright and vivid or even opalescent like one I actually have in reality. The gem was pale and sort of a sepia or cream colour but it was still slightly translucent as expected. What was odd about it was that it was encrusted with some sort of gold filigree and small golden spheres. Start to remember less detail at this point. I remember dad went off his own way and so did my sibling and cousin. Mom stayed with me and we went outside, where it was still dark, although the direct area around wherever we went was always seemingly lit. More like the darkness was a fog made of black. I remember seeing some bones or dead plants and noticing the floor was particularly arid. Eventually we found some building thing, which was very square. It had a brand new kitchen I think, but apart from that it was mostly just dark corridors. I don't remember anything after that point. A note: I remember that in the dream the surreal landscapes felt familiar but out of place. Although I did not get anywhere near being lucid, I've had more of these moments lately where I'll have pre-lucid thoughts or recognition of a feature from a past dream.
I really just wanted to sleep and didn't want to do anything else. I had gotten up out of my bed because I knew I had to deal with a lot of stuff in waking life and just decided to forget about it for now. I went back in my bed and fell asleep. I found myself experiencing images flashing and soon I was able to walk around with in the darkness. There still was no dream but I was able to start using my dream body. However I eventually lost awareness of myself in the darkness because nothing was happening and no image would remain solid. I eventually enter a dream non-lucid. In the dream I found myself at a grocery store and I was on top of a shelf of can goods. A cashier woman saw me up and there and before I knew it she was tapping me on my shoulder. I turn around to face her but she wasn't behind me and was now on the side that I had previously turned from. I turn again but she had moved to the opposite direction again. She then pushed me to the shelf, making me completely laying on it on my front side only. And started to put pressure on my back side. This began to hurt to the point of where I became lucid. I didn't know what she was trying to do but I got my hand and was trying to sway it around to signal her to stop. Massaging was definitely not her best job. It didn't work though, so I had tried to switch the dream to a different scene. Instead images kept floating around and eventually I just lost lucidity again with in the darkness. One image did finally arrive and solidify itself with in the pending darkness. Once it did, I regain lucidity instantly like a bad habit. I remember this image from earlier I said, now it was a dream. I began moving around and saw the other grocery store that I tried to enter. I waited in line with other people as I observe the environment. The place was beginning to darken, I tried to cut in line and see what they had in some places. I went through a few rooms to see people partying and couches being place around. The grocery store had now became a place of run down party. With a lot of people either eating or drinking while dancing. Some guy shove my arm and I told him to stop bothering me and went about my business. I then notice the dream getting too dark and realize I was returning back to the complete blackness that awaited me. I decided I was going to hold on to my consciousness as long as I could as I grew tired of constantly going in and out of awareness. I also tired to rub my hands together to stabilize the dream but it was too late. I was in total darkness now and something different happen this time as I held on as much as I could. I felt my consciousness zip out from the darkness like a vortex, it made this swooshing sound as it sent me back to my body in bed. The pressure felt quite intense, I wasn't sure what happened or if I was awake in my bed now in waking life. But something felt very different. My body felt way lighter and I felt stuck. As I tried to move it felt like I was ripping out of another body. My arm was like half stuck in it, I still had my eyes close but felt the immediate urge to open them. As I did it was like seeing from another eye as I could faintly see my room from where I was laying down. I wasn't sure if I was dreaming or not but I all of a sudden I realize I couldn't breathe. I was trying to breathe but nothing was happening. I began to panic and this made me lose my focus and woke up in the same position I was previously in at my bed.
I had a lucid dream using meditation this morning. Went back to bed at 7:48 a.m and woke up again at 8:15 a.m. I find myself in my bedroom. I focus my intent on my desk to manipulate some shadows in a cat. Then, a real cat appears outside one of my windows. I look outside the window and I see my house floating high above Earth. There are land masses covered in ice and use my intent to manipulate the ice caps. I leave my bedroom and go outside. I see my mom, niece and dad along the way. I am in my front yard and it is early morning before sunrise. I call out for one of my dream characters and she appears via my neighbor's door way. We greet each other and continue walking down the street. She disappears. I try to summon lightning and the clouds above gently flash with light for a moment. I continue walking until I am on another street. I see two children with backpacks in front of their homes presumably waiting for the school bus. I attempt to re-summon my dream guide from before so we can decide the adventure we want to embark on. No dice.
TOTY:Snowy Mountain Cave- Somebody who was on a hike is being held in the hand of a hungry abominable snow monster. Find the cave on the snowy mountain where the monster is, and free the hiker from the monster. Escape from the cave and use any means necessary to close the entrance to trap the monster. Take the rescued to the top of the mountain so they can enjoy the view. I was in the gym basement of a school when I became lucid. I dropped everything I was doing and left the school. I flew naturally (without the need of my broom!) and went high into the air. I saw the arctic mountains in the north ( a location in many of my LDs) and flew there. I unsheathed my sword when I landed on the mountain. I remember how cold it was and I kept saying to myself, "You are dreaming, and you will stay lucid." I walked around until I found the abominable monster, although it was nothing like I expected. Going into the dream I expected it'd be a big snow monster kind of like the one from Frozen. This one was a large orange mountain lion. But it was definitely the guardian of the region. There was a cave behind the lion with a trapped hiker in it. I swung my sword at the lion and it made contact, and the lion ran away. So much for trapping it in the cave, but this was good enough. I asked the hiker if they were hurt and they said no. I pointed out the path going to the top of the mountain, and I woke up as we were walking up it.
I am on a computer, looking through files. I’m trying to find papers from an earlier part of the dream where I’d stayed after a math class drawing, and the teacher had brought over a stack of graded assignments he’d apparently been working on while I sat there. I’d just glanced at them and seen that’d I’d done really well on them before taking off, but now I want a closer look, and this was apparently where they were. I scroll through small pictures, some of which began to move. One has expanded to fill the whole screen. It shows a house on fire, people running out. It scrolls past a small stage on which two double basses stand, one the traditional sort, another more metallic – electric by the look of it, but still a roughly double bass size and shape. It sits in a sort of flower-shaped metal pad. It catches my attention, and I’m struck by the level of detail. I am now – not sure in what order – both present in the dream and lucid. I’m in a park-like area, a clearing with groves of trees and some woods not far off. Another stage is nearby, this one a roofed circular platform on which sits another of those big electric basses. I consider giving it a try – that could be fun. But it occurs to me that I’ve never produced frightening scenarios in lucid dreams before, and I should try it at least once. Surrounded by demons is the first thing that occurs to me for some reason. That’ll do. I will them into being. As I focus on the intention, everything around me grows dark, swirling and immaterial. I’m floating, moving vaguely backwards. But nothing else seems to be happening. Oh, well. Maybe I’ll give that bass a try after all. I let go of the intention. The original scene immediately returns, and I walk back towards the area I started out in. But not far from it, by a ridge in front of a forested area, I spot a strange figure. Its head looks like a skull, bovine in shape, with horns that curl around to the front and knot around each other, and it’s wearing a black and white herringbone tweed blazer with a thin purple scarf and a long grey-black skirt. It looks like I managed something, at least, although I can’t say it’s especially scary. As I approach, it waves its hand, causing a small sphere of darkness to shoot towards me. This startles me a bit, but it doesn’t seem to have any effect. I keep walking towards it, ignoring its attacks. As I pass the pavilion, I notice the instrument sitting there looks different now. There are also now a number of cats up under the roof, lying in big cat piles that seem to extend upward into tunnels. They seem to just be waking up. The grey and orange tabbies stay where they are, but a few black cats stretch and jump down onto the stage. As I turn back towards the figure, I see that it is now a cat as well – a small black one. I pick it up. It doesn’t look happy with being held, but it makes no attempt to escape. At that point, I wake up. 9.1.20
I think I’m at either Matt and Sara’s or Opa’s house. It seems to be a family gathering. There also seems to be some tension between Matt and Sara. I find Sara alone and ask what’s going on. She tells me that she’s pregnant but Matt won’t stop drinking. Sure enough, I look over and see him holding what looks like a glass of whisky. I am on a promenade along the river. I think some of the family is here too. I also can’t shake the feeling that this place is very familiar somehow.
Been a little stressed and depressed but I still remember some. Jamie 1 Just remember going out to some house or cabin in the woods, Inside was really big with lots of floors. Just remember Jamie was there. Not talking to me much but still hanging around. Later there was something with my brother and my dad but I forget what it was about. Jamie 2, Just remember me and jamie were in a room with Jesus (where has this guy been anyway?). Jesus was making youtube video icons and directing them to a slot, indicating I should make more videos. I'm having trouble finding the time and motivation for that. Glad Jamie still shows up even if she isn't always in a good mood.
Last night I had a new dream that involved my grandads old 1983 Plymouth Reliant. This is the same car where all the dreams took place where I was riding in the middle of the front seat between my mom and my sister and my mom couldn't get the car to start. I think this also took place in spring of 1994 when I was 15 and had my learners permit and the car was parked in our driveway. In this dream, I decided I would go out and start the Reliant and drive it up and down my parents long driveway some to give the battery a charge. I first went and grabbed the keys out of the drawer in the chest by our back door where my parents kept all of our keys. I then went outside and unlocked the drivers side door to the tan reliant and then sat down on the tan vinyl bench seat. When I put the key in the ignition, it made the same buzzing sound that I always hear in the recurring dream I keep having. I go ahead and close the drivers side door to make sure I do not have anything unnecessary draining batter power incase the batter has gotten weak. I then turn the key and the car starts right up without any trouble. I see all of the red lights on the dash illuminated and hear the buzzing sound. The lights quickly go out and the buzzing stops when I put on my seatbelt. I then turn the radio to my favorite station, and then put the car in reverse and back it up until I am almost to the street at the end of our driveway. When I get to the end, I put it back in drive and drive it to the other end of the driveway near our house. For the next 15-20 minutes, I am driving the Reliant from one end of the driveway to the other while listening to the radio. I feel a certain sense of freedom know that in a few months I will have my drivers license and can drive myself where I want when I want. I eventually park the car back by our house, turn it off, lock the door, and then go back into the house. In this dream, I do not see anyone else unlike the other dream I keep having where my mom and sister are both in it.
Had a dream I was petting a black cat. It meowed. I tried to summon some superpowers. I was looking for a dream character. I heard someone call my name and I was invited into a house party by some old friends. Funny thing is that his entire lucid dream happened in 20 minutes. I tried in bed for nearly an hour trying to fall asleep only that my mind was so active from daydreaming. I finally realized I had work soon so I used meditation to forcefully quiet my mind so I could fall asleep. Daydream > Silence see-saw?

This weekend, I was leading a retreat for the rest of the leadership team for an large event that I will be running this summer. We were staying in a hotel that was in an old art deco building downtown in a city a few hours away. I was staying in the penthouse suite where we held our meeting and planning sessions. I had a dream last night where the rest of the team and I were opening the windows and walking on the ledges outside which were 17 stories over the street. We walked all the way around the outside of the building and then we scaled the building and climbed up to the roof before repelling back down to the 17th floor where my suite was. I vividly recall a strong wind, hearing the traffic on the street below, and seeing the other buildings downtown light-up as the sun set and we went from late afternoon to night. I do not have any recollection of why we decided to climb out to the ledge and then scale the building to the roof, but all of the details were very vidid and when I woke-up, I actually go of out bed and checked all of the windows to see if we really did go out of the roof. All windows were latched, so i guess it was all a very vivid dream.
