    1. #259 - Family / Water challenge

      by , 08-04-2016 at 09:15 AM (The Oneironaut's Odyssey)
      Dream 1 - Family
I remember walking to work along the main road in town, it must have been after my lunch break or something. I saw across the road my ex and our kid, she was shopping for underwear with her sister. I shouted out to her and crossed the road, surprised and happy to see them. For some reason we decided to try on some underwear, it doesn't seem weird at first that we're outside.. but then I guess we realize where we are and go inside the underwear shop to change back to our normal clothes.

      Dream 2 - Water challenge
I was outside a house in a forested area resembling the looks that most of the houses have near where I use to live. There's a pool nearby and I'm someone challenged me to breathe underwater for 15 minutes (it was part of some kind of genies' trick, a small part of a larger competition I think..). I pay attention to what he says, specifically that the words 'breathe underwater' which I realized meant that I should be literally breathing while under the surface of the water... I fill up a water bottle and for some reason get confused >_> I had an idea in my head for how to breathe underwater except fucked it up. I then empty the bottle, make a hole in the bottle and somehow fashion it into a snorkel. Wallah! I can't remember if I got to use it but I know I passed, I ended up running off down the driveway to whatever else I was meant to be doing, but then my alarm went off.

    2. Fear and Flight

by , 09-07-2015 at 11:07 PM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
I was in an area with other people. There's a haunted house. I think it's some sort of a challenge. The mode feels like Battle Royale. There's a haunted house. We were supposed to go in and last inside or defeat monsters. The first ones to enter soon ran out through various exits. I didn't have the courage to go in.

Then there was one guy who said he wants to go "up" the tower and challenge/defeat/outlast the monster there. I told him to be careful. After a while, I got worried, so I went in. I was afraid. I encountered a zombie-like creature in a hallway/dungeon and ran back out. It was a different place.

It was inside a mall. I felt a surge of energy. I ran forward, evading creatures, and used energy pushed out through my palms and feet to "fly" forward and slightly upward. I felt exhilarated.

    4. The Christmas Challange!

      by , 11-18-2013 at 06:14 PM
I can only remember some things about this dream. It was about me, my Mom, my Dad, My sister, My niece, My nephew and my sister which had another baby which she does not have in real life. It was Christmas time and we had to do a challenge which lasted the whole month of December. We had to not celebrate Christmas and not talk about it! I did not want to do it but we had to do it for the TV. There was a HUGE Christmas tree and our TV was HUGE! I think we was tiny in this dream. I cant remember what happened after that but once we had done the challenge we was watching other people doing the challenge from a skyscraper. They were decorating this huge Christmas tree which we had to do before we done the challenge too. I was scared because we was sitting on the edge of a skyscraper and we could fall at any time. My Mom who is afraid of heights actually enjoyed it which is really weird because that she has a phobia of heights! My sister put the baby on the edge of the skyscraper too which is really silly. I almost fell and slipped once and that scared me even more. I fell off the skyscraper and was holding on and trying to climb up but I couldn't. Eventually my Mom and my sister helped pull me up. I was really scared and then I woke up. This was a really weird dream.
    5. Challenges at a Mystic School

      29.10.2013
Challenges at a Mystic School (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was in some sort of mystical school with Spirits. It seems that there were some dangers, like I was undergoing through a challenge.

I needed to go through some rooms and unlock some puzzles, summon some being, etc. The test was very hard and I failed to accomplish the challenges on time and it seems that we all were going to die.

I went outside and they had a huge pool made out of something gross looking. The pool had small pools within, with some acid-poisonous liquid. People where laying down in the green pools and slowly dying.

I felt it would be the best option. So i did and I felt how my life was ending, but it did not hurt.

I suddenly spawned somewhere else in the school and I had like a clone, everything doubled and we were offered to take on the challenges again, having a clon would be easier. I woke up.

    6. 30 day challenge

      by , 06-25-2013 at 06:23 PM (Maybe I'm Dreaming)
Shamelessly copied and pasted from LMRhone's 30 day challenge.

      Basic Requirements for the Challenge

      - No techniques for WBTB

      - Complete all exercises in EWOLD

      - Get at least 6 hours of sleep

      - Update my personal dream journal with the dreams for each day, if I forget to do this or wake up with full dreams but lose them throughout and only update a fragment, that day doesn't count.

      - I will use nothing to aid in my lucidity, just my own mind. The only "lucid aid I will use is apple juice because I drink it all the time. No difference though.

Goals for The Challenge (Not In-Dream)

      - To get lucid every night, preferably in every dream.

      - To remain aware unless absolutely necessary.

      - Find a reliable DS.

      Goals for The Challenge (In-Dream)

      - To get another lucid like the best one I ever had.

      - To overcome a deep personal fear.

      - All 5 TOTMs in one dream.

      - Get back to where I left off in the RPG prologue, stop the tornado, and sail to Cardia, while hopefully picking up other dreamers.

      - Have a fair amount of control. Not stressing about this.
    7. 30-Day Challenge "A Quest for Lucidity"

      by , 06-24-2013 at 07:13 PM (LMR's Mental Adventures)
Fellow lucid dreamers, I'm on a quest for lucidity. This quest will last for 30 days and here's what I plan on doing, or at least how I'll begin.

It'll begin with me forgetting all of my knowledge (or at least ignoring it) and reading Exploring The World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge through that I'll gain some knowledge and insight on how to go about lucid dreaming the correct way, not influenced by all of the "knowledge" of Dreamviews. Don't get me wrong, I do love Dreamviews but there are many rumors on things and so many opinions that it didn't give me the correct foundation to build off of and that resulted with inconsistent lucid dreams and ultimately failure...and now I am here. I also won't be using any techniques just sleep, RC's, and intent.

      Basic Requirements for the Quest/Challenge

      - No techniques for WBTB

      - No skipping chapters in the book

      - Get at least 8 hours of sleep (for those day I don't get eight hours I won't count them)

      - Update Dreamviews and my personal dream journal with the dreams for each day, if I forget to do this or wake up with full dreams but lose them throughout and only update a fragment, that day doesn't count.

      - I will use nothing to aid in my lucidity, just my own mind.

Goals for The Challenge (Not In-Dream)

      - To become a natural lucid dreamer by the end of the challenge, meaning that I won't need to "work" for LD'ing.

      - To rebuild the foundation my lucid dreaming knowledge was built upon.

      - To have consistent lucid dreams by the end of the 30 days (at least four to five a week).

      - To see the world in a new light, becoming more aware of my surroundings and where I am.

      Goals for The Challenge (In-Dream)

      - Meet and begin to develop a relationship with my dream guide.

      - Go on an adventure with the character in the series Supernatural.

      - Fight Titans with Windy and Higat, then inviting another person who hasn't watched the anime to see their reaction.

      - Have 10 shared dreams, in one of them sharing a password.

      - Have somewhat excellent dream control.

      - Have a battle with many, many different character from Naruto Shippuden.

      - Have my dream guide teach me hand-to-hand combat, and how to use magic effectively.

For this Challenge my ultimate goal is to finish it with success. It's really just a personal quest that I need to take so it's kinda important. After thinking about it, these are all the goals I truly have, I'm not gonna make anymore right now because I'll probably spend a lot of time with my dream guide, and doing lots of other things in-dream. Well this is all I really have to type right now, and I have to start reading that book! I found this PDF that I'll be using to read it.
    8. Video Game Race/Obstacle Course

      Dream | Lucid | Commentary

It was Christmas and me and my little bro were getting presents from the Claus up on the North side. I don't remember what I got, but Adam got some sweet computer game and I played it. I guess I went inside the game too.

I was on some obstacle course race, and I had a gun that shot electricity, it was used to open doors. I was right in front of some girl, so I was scared she'd pass me while I was opening a door. I came to a door, and I was shotting it with my gun, but it took a second to open.

When it opened there was some railing fence I had to run around and climb over to get past that part. I passed it easily, but I came up on the next part of the course and it was some dancing challenge. There were already about 15 people leaving from that challenge, and I knew they cheated and took some shortcut, because I was in the lead! I skipped the dancing challenge and tried to catch up to those dirty cheaters.

I forget what happened after that, but I know after this dream I woke up at around 4:45 and attempted a DEILD, but I guess I already moved around too much to do it. So I just tried a MILD, and I don't remember any later dreams.
    9. Of Course She Would Be The One

      by , 10-17-2011 at 08:38 PM
Well, this was an interesting dream.
I was complaining to this woman and her son about how "it" wasn't much of a challenge.
      "What's not much a challenge,"the woman inquired.
"This! All this! This...dream...All these dreams are so dull and boring! The last time I told anyone in the Dream World it was a dream, they laughed and made it seem like I was the idiot for not knowing from the very start!"
We heard a gasp and her son looked worried.
"I...I'm not real,"he asked, tears coming to eyes.
      "Ah, jeez...,"I muttered guiltily.
His mother glared at me and said,"Thanks. Thanks for shattering the kid's hopes and dreams."
I explained things over to him and he seemed to start thinking that it was a good idea. After all, as long I'm not shot or something, the kid's hopes and dreams are intact.
"But, you know,"I said afterward,"there has to be one person that it would actually infuriate if they found out I was dreaming."
The woman pointed towards me and said,"Uh, like that?"
All of a sudden, I felt someone attack me from behind and bite my arm--hard.
      "What the ----?!"
Surprised, I turned and saw my mother, an angry look in her eyes. I wanted to laugh.
"This is what I'm talking about! Even in my dreams, you're a pain to deal with!"
      More snarling.
"Haha! Please. If you think attacking me means I'm going to consider this dream a nightmare, you have another thing coming."
      More biting.
"Okay, now you're pissing me off."
I picked her up and body slammed her down onto the ground. I bent down low and murmured," You ain't got nothing on the real thing."
      Then, I "woke up".
I looked around and sighed in relief. It was just a stupid dream. I glanced at my arm and saw a huge bite mark. Infuriated, I stormed out my room to complaint about it. Then, I woke up for real.
    10. 8/15/11 Hogwarts House Challenge

by , 08-24-2011 at 07:36 AM (Mancon's Wild and Crazy Adventures in the Dream World)
V-WILD'd successfully! Sorry I haven't posted a DJ entry in a while...will try to start getting back into it.

I was standing outside the Hogwarts Castle, by a brick wall. I stabilized the dream, and everything became clearer. The wall felt rough, and faded when I rubbed it.

Behind the wall, was a entrance to Hogwarts. It was a mossy green circular door, that seemed about 15 feet high. I walked through the tall grass towards the door and pushed it open.

Inside, was a royal looking hallway fllled with candles everywhere. It was crowded and people were staring at me. curiously. I smiled at them.

I saw a very small door to my left, and walked past it. Suddenly, a random guy stopped me in the hallway and said that the door lead to the sorting hat, and I needed to be sorted. I said it was a dream, and I would just find a taller door and the sorting hat would be there for me. He seemed persistent, and said I HAD to shrink down and go through that particular door.

So I shrunk down slowly, and pushed open the door. There was a small, wooden table right in the center of the room with the sorting hat sitting on the middle of it. There was no other furniture in the room. The walls seemed to be made of some type of fur.

I picked up the hat, put it on. It seemed to melt into my head, and I asked it what house I would be in. After about 10 seconds, it shouted: "HUFFLEPUFF!" I was happy, since this is the house I wanted!

I said thank you to the hat, and stepped out of the room. I was trying to remember any of the Hufflepuff tasks, but I couldn't. I grew back up, and started to walk around the castle.

I decided to start talking to random people passing me. I stopped a really tall, bright-oranged haired girl, and asked her how she was doing.

She replied, "Fine and dandy, just like a pencil!"

She randomly touched my arm, and her finger melted in it. When she pulled her hand out of my arm, her finger was missing. I looked down, and saw my veins popping out. They were a magenta color. It freaked me out, so I looked away quickly.

I continued to walk down the hall, and noticed an abstract painting. I can't remember the details of it, but I got so absorbed in it..I forgot I was dreaming .

      Thank you for reading
    11. 20 Day Dream Journal Challenge

by , 10-17-2010 at 06:55 PM (Mindscape of Xaqaria)
Today, I am going to start a 20-day dream Journal challenge in order to motivate myself to write down my dreams, and therefore remember them more so I can start getting lucid more frequently. Every day I will try to write at least one entry in my journal, even if all I have to write is, "I can't remember my dreams".

      Rules:
+1 point for every Dream Journal Entry, even if all it is, is "I don't remember any dreams from last night"

-3 points if no entries are made on any day.

You can write as many entries as you want to build up points, but if you can't remember any dreams, you can only write just that one.

Very simple! And this is a game you can play solitaire; just compare this 20-day score with your last 20-day score.

      So, Day 1;
I can't remember any of my dreams from last night.

      +1
    12. Wave 6: Back on track

      by , 08-04-2010 at 02:14 PM (The Meerkat's Lair)
As I said yesterday, i got a shot of bad luck. But its gone now. I complete my quota of a dream a night and started a new (hopefully longer) win streak. I didnt have a DILD again since mys first entry, but I think it takes months for some ppl to get their 1rst ones so im not worried.

The dream: Im at some kind of covent. You know these places girls go with nuns? Thats it, but not religious at all. There was a competition or task where they were seperated into groups of 2 or 3 and had to swallow the biggest thing possible before throwing it back up. Gross. There were some guys too, including Kyan. All wearing headbands or handkerchiefs with the Leucan logo (big ladybug). They all talked about their projects and demonsrated their act. The dudes were talking about an atomic whale (?) but I didnt see them throw up.

As for me, im not playing a specific character, but it certainly isnt myself. My team does fairly well, but a team of 2 girls is doing very bad because she cant get her item back up (puppet). A man who appears to be in charge is very mad. The blame is all put on her (who is hot by the way) and her teammate is pissed. Valerie is her name, I remember. I dont remember the name of her teammate though, but both of theyre faces I see very clearly.
Later, they both sit on a counter in the kitchen. The counter is brown and grey and square shaped all around the kitchen. I am Valerie at this point. She tells Vaerie that if she wants to marry a dentist, she has to stop messing up stuff. Her CV has to be clean. Then she leaves. A piece of bread is next to me and a knife is on the sink. I pick the knife and eat a bite of bread directly off the knife.

This is one of the clearest dreams I had since joining. My recall is improving greatly. Before, I would remember about a dream in a month or two. Now im getting close to 2 dreams per night. Getting closer to my goals, and it feels great.

Dream fragment: Im at what appears to be at another contest, this time at school. There are a lot of kids and also teachers watching a stage with a bench at the front. Kids go on the stage to take turns singing a song. They each have a part to sing. For some reason, I go sit on the bench. Now this is the part that was extremely vivid for me. The first girl is standing in front of the bench but decides to move to the right, where i am sitting. I slide on my butt while she keeps getting closer to me until I am at the end of the bench. I get up and she starts singing in a low and fragile voice. She looks at me like shes saying: Help! I forgot the lyrics! I say out loud: I think she has a blank memory. Thats all I remember.
    13. Sunken boat in the cove

by , 11-04-2006 at 06:00 AM (Visions in the Dark)

Many people are gathered on the beach when a challenge is presented to see who can swim all the way around the cove. The starting point is the beach and the finish line is the docks. All of the swimmers stop for a rest at the sand bar and some of them try to dive down to an old boat that has sunk in the deepest part of the cove. No one can seem to hold there breath long enough, though. The challenge to swim to the docks is all but forgotten as everyone is more interested in reaching the small shipwreck.

When it is my turn I am successful in reaching the sunken boat. It looks like a small wooden fishing boat and it is laying upside down in the sand. I see a small gap between the cove bottom and boat that I can slip through. I do not have any scuba gear or a flashlight but I want to get underneath the boat. The sunken boat settles into the sand as I go underneath and I become trapped just as I am starting to run out of air.

I almost panic, but quickly find that I can lift the boat through the water if I kick my legs hard enough. I push the boat up onto the sand bar for everyone to see, but the other swimmers get angry at me for disturbing a shipwreck. I am not really fazed by their attitudes because I am just happy that I did not drown. The dream ends there.
