lucid

I'm taking a nap before work and I'm dreaming that my alarm didn't go off. When I try to figure out what time it is, the numbers keep shifting around or include letters. There's a tv at the foot of my bed that isn't there IRL, at first I'm looking at a website and then it's a video on the television. I get out of bed and start walking into the living room, trying to use my phone to call work to let them know I'll be in as soon as I can.
I start to become suspicious that I'm dreaming. I think "This is all pretty weird. If I look at my phone again and the clock isn't there then I'm dreaming." I look. The clock is missing. "Yes!" I think. I make it into the living room. For some reason there are two televisions in there. One is playing a movie about a dog. Suddenly I'm really small. I try to return to normal size but instead I just start floating. I can't seem to make my feet stay on the ground. The movie is annoying so I try to turn it off. Nothing works.
"Off!" I say, pointing at the TV. Nothing. I try that again in a few different ways, even just believing the TV will turn off when I say doesn't work. I start to get pissed off that I can't do something so simple. The screen gets static bars across it. Then the sound of static is annoying. I focus on the sound and it ceases. The static increases. "Guess in here I have no subtlety. Leave it to me to just destroy something when I can't make it work the way I want..." both televisions gain more static, I clench my hand into a fist and they become pure static. I laugh a little and realize I'm wasting my time. I could be doing something fun right now! I see a small window over the sink in the kitchen out of the corner of my eye.
I run at it, the sky is a perfect blue with puffy white clouds. I want to be flying. I open the window and I start climbing out----

My alarm goes off. sigh

2. My Second Lucid Dream

by , 10-20-2012 at 12:10 PM (The Redeeming Dreamer)
October 20, 2012
5:00-6:46

I got out of my bed and I was in my house. Everything looked normal. I saw some random guy in it, and he was telling me stuff. My dream self decided to try to do some reality checks. He looked at his fingers and tried to count them, but it was too dark to try that. He then tried to look at the clock at the end of my bed, and when he checked to see if the time changed, IT DID!!! I felt a rush of excitement as I became lucid! For some reason, I didn't feel that last time. I immediately remembered to stabilize the dream by rubbing my hands and spinning around.

I was able to do many things, just nothing that was against the physical world's laws. I couldn't fly, I just floated a bit when I jumped. Most of the dream I spent in the house, testing out my powers. My family was there, and I think some people from school. I didn't really interact with them much. I guess I was too interested in my powers.

One thing I remember doing was turning the cabinets in my kitchen into ice cream machines, WITH SPRINKLES!!! The ice cream didn't taste like anything, though. There were many more powers I tried doing, but I can't remember them very well. Near the end of the dream, my family and the friends with me wanted to go outside. We all went out, but everyone was flying. I tried to fly, but could only jump and float a little. I tried really hard to turn off the gravity, but instead, I ENDED THE DREAM!!!

I woke in real life to go over to the computer and write my second lucid dream.

I also did WBTB and MILD before I went to sleep. I did the WBTB a while ago, at around 3:30. For like 6 or 7 minutes I stayed up. I went to sleep then, but I had a regular dream. I think my problem is I don't remember to say the MILD mantra as I fall asleep.

I woke again at 4:11 and stayed up until 5:00. I then fell asleep saying, "I will be conscious in my dream."

3. Talking to a Stewardess and Going on a Trip, and a Very Unstable Lucid

by , 10-17-2012 at 03:47 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
Dream - Lucid

I was in my living room on the couch, talking on the phone to an airplane stewardess. I was apparently about to go on a trip somewhere. She then suddenly said
"Oh! I know what I'm gonna do when you're asleep!"
"What?" I replied.
She then went on to say that she was going to stick a smiley face sticker on my forehead, and then one on her nose. I pictured her doing this in 3rd person. The stewardess was young and blonde, with her hair up in a bun. I saw her and my sleeping self, her with the sticker on her nose, and me with the sticker on my forehead. The smiley stickers were orange, and it looked more like we were on a bus than an airplane.
The stewardess and I talked on the phone a bit more. She sounded excited about the things she was talking about, and maybe a bit naive.

I then remember talking to my brother about something. We were in my room. He was laying on my bed. I was then sitting on the side of the bed. There was then another guy there. He came up and took my face in his hands to bring me in for a kiss. I was hesitant because I felt like my breath was bad, and that my mouth was dry from being thirsty. I lightly kissed him back. It felt dry and half-assed, probably because of my hesitation.

I then was in a lobby somewhere. Sitting behind a desk was a woman who looked just like the stewardess. Thinking about it now, it reminds me of one of the check-in lobbies at Disney World. I think I was supposed to be in another country though. MK was with me now.

I was still thirsty at this point, so I looked around for somewhere to get a drink. There didn't seem to be any vending machines, but there was a silver mini-fridge against the wall to my right. I opened it up, eager for a drink, and I saw these tiny, 1-2oz cans of soda that had the Goldfish snack crackers logo on it. I picked one up, and it was still attached to the plastic rings used to hold cans together, but decided better of it. Gross. Goldfish cracker soda. I'm not thirsty enough to touch that shit. There were some really tall cans of Coke in the back, but I didn't grab those either. I asked MK if there was just a water fountain or anything around. She pointed the bathroom out to me, which was to our right. I started to go look for it.

~

I woke up this morning around 7am, and it took me awhile to go back to sleep. I finally started to drift off, and felt floaty and a little buzzy. When it stopped, I knew I was in a dream. I opened my eyes, and I was in bed in my room. The dream was not so stable right off the bat. My room seemed very dim. I got up, and heard my mom talking to someone. It was really loud. So loud, in fact, that I thought I was gonna wake up (I assumed the talking and other noises were leaking into my dream from waking life since the dream was so unstable). The talking went on throughout the dream. I didn't know how I was going to hold down this LD.

I decided to try to fly, or at least float. I floated around a bit, but still, everything seemed extremely dim and unstable. There would be moments where it would flicker into everything being bright and more stable, but they literally were just that: Moments. Lame. There would also be times where I would feel like the way to make things brighter would be to open my eyes more, but when I'd try, I'd start to open my real eyes and I'd have to stop before I woke up. I do feel like I ended up outside for a tiny bit, but it was too much for my unstable state.

There was a time or two where I did wake up, and would have to drift back off into the dream world. I remember one of those times, I didn't open my eyes or anything, and I started to "roll" around and around slowly, at least that's what it felt like I was doing. I thought about it as I was doing it, about how people can "roll out" of their bodies, and how I'd done it before when I was a younger on accident, and then again intentionally a few years later. I also heard the buzzing in my head that I associate with SP, and focused on that, and it intensified before I entered the dream again.

I was back in the dream, again in my room, and it was still dim and seemed to be fading. I remember, at some point during this, I was laying on the foot of my bed, and thinking I was doing it IWL too, and that I'd wake up there.
Spoiler for Explicit content:

What a waste of an LD. Though...there wasn't really much I could do with it being so unstable. I spent a lot of the dream trying to focus on the dream enough to where I wouldn't get that interference from the waking world, and I'd be able to exercise more control, and have a more vivid environment. I actually did have a friend who lives very far away from me in Ireland who wanted to meet up with me in dreams last night. There was no way I could have done that with this LD I had. During the dream, I honestly forgot about that since it wasn't stable. If I had stabalized it enough, maybe I could have been able to find him, or at least my subconscious's projection of him.

4. My classmates levitating? O.e

by , 10-06-2012 at 04:00 PM (Pruzel's Dreams)
Okay so if you have played minecraft then you have probably seen a terrain with little holes, stone, and water in the holes. F not then that's what they are.
Well anyways so I was in class and one of the kids came up to me. I was standing on the weird terrain thing I described earlier and she asked me if I wanted to see how she can walk without moving her feet. She can't run but she can walk like that. I said sure and she stared floating a foot off the ground and moving around like that! She got down and made me start floating around too!
I woke up soon after.

5. Flying isn't always fun

by , 08-06-2012 at 08:03 AM (Dimension X)
This requires a lot of explaining. So in other words, a lot of reading, but please bear with me ._.

Ok so about 6 months ago, I lived in a nice house... Everything was normal. Then, out of nowhere I had this one dream where it felt like I was awake. But what happened was, I was laying down with my eyes closed... And I could feel my bed float off the ground a few feet, and rotate 360 degrees before slowly falling back to the ground again. ...It didn't stop there. A few days later, I had another one of these dreams, except it was a bit more intense. Instead of slowly floating, this time my bed floated a bit faster, right up to the ceiling of my room. My eyes were open and I saw the ceiling like 20 inches away from my head. Then it dropped quite fast onto the floor. I started to have these dreams quite often, and they kept getting more and more intense with each one. Eventually I was at the point where I would have a dream like this and my bed would either skyrocket past my ceiling and into pitch black darkness, or carefully aim itself and dive into the floor at breakneck speed. It felt like I was on a roller coaster, except way faster. After about a month or so, I actually started to discover on my own that I could kind of control where my bed was going using my mind. Although it didn't work as often as I had hoped, it still helped. Then I had this one dream... This one specific dream that really freaked me out.
My bed floated horizontally in this dream. All I saw was darkness, but I could feel it moving. And then my bed floated by a white fireplace. I didn't have a fireplace in that room. But the thing that really freaks me out about that is, there's a chimney right outside my room, as part of the house... There WAS a fireplace in my bedroom... 200 years ago.
The fireplace that I saw was white, and there was a small fire in it, and it was brighter than it should have been for such a small fire. Yet, the light didn't go anywhere else. The light itself only surrounded the fireplace.
Eventually these dreams started to happen less often. Then I had to move out of that house. I left my old bed there because I already had a new one ready for the new house, the one I'm living in now. After I moved here, those dreams stopped ENTIRELY. I think those were lucid dreams, though. Because I felt awake in all of them. Even though these events happened not that long ago, at the time, I knew what a lucid dream was, but... I don't know... I have no idea why I didn't take control. For some reason, now, it's harder for me to fully LD... Anyway, thanks for taking your time to read this, it was pretty weird.
6. Night Time Fly Time

by , 08-06-2012 at 03:31 AM (Dimension X)
This dream is from a while ago... I was with my parents and they said that we had to go visit someone. So we left the house, but next thing I know I'm in a big log cabin in the woods and it's night time. My parents are talking to someone. It's pretty dark inside the cabin too. At this point, I realize I'm in the dream and I go lucid. Since I'm lucid, I decide to practice hovering/light flying inside. (The log cabin itself was big, like LONG) So I was jumping like a 20 ft distance. and was like 8 ft off the ground. Almost like there was no gravity. Then my mom or dad asked "What are you doing?" and I said "Trying to fly.", and then they all laughed... Meanwhile I was floating in the air when they asked. That's all I remember from this dream.
7. Floating sensation.

by , 07-19-2012 at 06:02 PM
Once I had this experience, I had already woken up then went back to sleep with some music playing.

Suddenly I was in my living room, but the atmosphere was slightly darker. I am underneath a blanket of sorts. its giving me security. I don't see her but I know my mother is in her room.

I start having a floating sensation and I realize that I've left my body, I encourage this and start to float even higher it feels a tad wobbly though.
Then I reach my ceiling, im unsure of what to do for a moment and just feel the ceiling with my hands.

then It clicks I can go through the ceiling, so I start to push through it feels like some sort of matter, pretty dense it makes my hands feels uncomfortable.
Now im in this black space continuously pushing through, its a pretty slow movement.

I start to hear the music that I had left playing, I feel an opening at the top of the black space. I break through then I'm grabbing my sheets and pulling them down.
I'm awake again.

I don't really get why I woke up from that almost breakthrough, I;m sorta unsure what to call this, it felt like a dream where I thought I was having an out of body experience. But it was very vivid more so most of my dreams.

8. First Post, Second Successful LD

by , 05-10-2012 at 12:10 AM
Posting this late, but last night I had my second successful LD, after having read a lot on this site several hours before.

On both of my lucid dreams that I've had, (WILD) I start to float around my bedroom, then do a few checks to make sure I'm dreaming.

Last night after I checked the light switch, I opened my window and floated around outside, and decided to fly, and immediately rocketed up into the night, which promptly caused me to plunge into darkness and forget what I was doing and why. I immediately ended up in the mudroom of my house, and had somewhat of a false awakening. I wasn't sure if I was still dreaming, and then my dad came up to me and started talking about my finances. Because I had mentioned to him previously that I have been attempting lucid dreaming, and he seemed to think the idea strange, I decided not to discuss that I had just been flying around outside in a lucid dream.

Despite the fact that I could remember being outside flying just before I was speaking to him, for some reason I lost my lucidity and I remember thinking this is real, I'm awake. Shortly after, I came around, back in my bed, obviously, and realized that I probably could have kept things going had I used better tactics and dream stabilization.

Maybe I'll fare better tonight. Or rather right now . . .
9. 05/08/2012 - 1st Dream, Beach float

by , 05-08-2012 at 07:36 PM
I got some sleep last night and I had some interesting dreams. This one was lucid, involved flying, and I remembered DreamViews and the lovely people here!

I have a false awakening and I’m lying in my bed at my dad’shouse in California. I find I am not in his current house but the one he hadwhen he lived in Alameda for 25 years. The bed is near the corner of the roomand to my left (while lying on my stomach) is a window, brightly lit by themorning sun.
The window is covered by paper shades, a thin material thatrolls up just like a typical window blind. I lift it up and when my eyes adjustto the bright scene I see the ocean. It’s a beautiful scene to wake up to.
Normally I should see another house from this window, but Ifind myself looking at water instead. I decide I want some pictures to show thepeople on DreamViews, to show off how beautiful the scene I wake up to is. Ifind my camera on the table and place it near the window.
Looking closer, I realize the window is a bit dirty, and Istart rubbing the glass with my finger. It isn’t working as well as I wouldlike, and I think how I hate this effect in dreams. I appear to be aware thatI’m dreaming but I can’t control anything yet. I continue cleaning the glass asbest as I can, hoping to make a nice clean spot for my camera lens.
Noting that some of the dirt is on the outside of the windowwhere I can’t clean, I give up and place my camera near the window. I move thecenter-point around, trying to get the camera to focus properly and adjustexposure, cursing myself for not bringing my film camera. The scene finallyresolves into focus, and I notice that I’m looking out at the bay, not theocean. In the background of the picture, across the water, is a large greymountain that doesn’t normally appear anywhere in the Bay Area.
I stare at the mountain for a minute, trying to figure outhow it got there. It’s not like a normal mountain, covered with trees orsnow-capped. Instead it’s almost smooth, as though it was covered with slopedglaciers. Fracture lines are visible in what appears to be ice, though I havenever before seen a glacier so dull.
I take a couple pictures of this scene and decide I would ratherhave some pictures from the beach, so I get up and walk out of the house.
Normally I would have to walk a few blocks and make someturns to even see water from his house, let alone get anywhere near a beach. Onthis day, however, an alley ran right along the side of the house which ledstraight to the water. I really wanted to fly to the beach and get therefaster, but normal flight didn’t fit in with my desire to swim, so Icompromised and flew on an air mattress. Like most of my flying dreams I movedas though I was in water, lying on the air mattress and pushing my handsagainst the air to move forward. I knew I was dreaming for sure but I had nodesire to change anything.
I flew past many houses and a couple of apartment buildingsas well, and as I came over a slight rise in the landscape I could finally seewater ahead of me. It was a pretty scene, and I tried taking pictures here butthe view wasn’t as open as I would like, and people kept interfering with myview of the water. I knew waiting would work out better.
Arriving at the beach I floated on through a cave in therock to a beach cove that had the most beautiful ocean access. The cove waswide, surrounded by rock except for the cave behind me, and had a nice sandybeach that any surfer would be proud of. The rock walls behind me shaded thecove from the early sun, and a number of families had set up their belongingsin the protected sides of the cove to avoid the wind.
I floated along the length of the beach and just took in theview for a minute. I remembered while I was there in the first place and tookout my camera, fixing my view on a distant buoy perhaps a half-mile out. Ittook my camera a while to focus but this time I was happy to not have anymountains in my view, just the beautiful ocean with some small white caps. Icouldn’t have been happier, and I thought about how great the pictures would bewhen I showed everyone on DV.

And then I woke up.

10. Three is the charm, apparantly....

by , 04-08-2012 at 11:48 PM
From my notepad posted this morning:

Today was my third lucid I think, but this one was the most intense I had so far. The longest one too. It's Easter Sunday today and I've been pretty sick with a head cold the last few days. However, at around 11:20 am it happened. I was quite sick last night and was on medication while sleeping, which had probably started wearing off already when I had the dream.

On waking up at about 11 I stated to myself that I wanted to have a lucid dream. Then I fell back to sleep almost instantly.

First I had a normal dream, was kind of in an office building with the hubby waiting for something; to book a vacation or room or something. Not sure what it was that we were actually doing there, but there were a lot of other people there too. We had to sit at a table and wait our turn. When it was finally that it SHOULD have been our turn, the people who ran the office stopped working to have lunch. I was not happy about this, seeing how the office was now empty and we were the only ones who had not been helped. So I walked around, and sat at a different table talking to one of the people eating lunch in the next cubical over; they said I had to wait; it would be about an hour. Looking at the table after the conversation again, there was suddenly a key, and a new phone, with head set in two different packs that was not there before. I thought someone had forgotten it there. I took it and thought to perhaps let the staff know that if anyone lost a phone, we'd be around town for a few more days, they could let us know and we'd meet them to return it. I didn't trust the office staff; since they were not very helpful to us. Before I could decide on the phone or even show the Hubby the phone, he wanted to leave, since neither of us wanted to wait another hour. Then suddenly the scene shifted, he was not there anymore and I was outside.

The next thing I know I'm stating to myself that I'm dreaming. This is odd, as my normal reality check while awake is "Am I dreaming" or "Is this a dream". Also oddly enough I had not done a reality check for a while in waking life because I had been sick; but I remembered it right then and there in the dream and perform my floating and levitation test. Normally I do it just by little gestures such as trying to float up somewhere and touch something that's just out of my reach, but since I was already thinking I was dreaming I did it a little more grand. I saw people in this outside clearing area and I decided I would run, jump and float over two people's heads and then land on the other side. The experiment was kind of shaky, but it did work. I took off, but didn't get very high, closed my eyes, said out loud that I wanted to float higher so I would not hit anyone and did manage that; but my landing was not quite where I wanted. Still it proved to me that indeed I was dreaming, as I can only do things like that when dreaming, never when awake. I then reminded myself to not get too exited, something I had read on this forum, as I had read that this can make the dreams shorter.

I was actually outside for a lucid dream, something I had hoped to achieve since I first started working on achieving lucidity. So I took it slow.

There was some kind of bridge or something in the dream scene. It was pretty big and made out of rock. Very pretty actually. What it covered I don't remember, but I know it was not water, so probably was the field/clearing outdoors where I was at. I do remember trying to get my floating/flying a bit up to speed. Was NOT too good at that though. Remember once bumping INTO the bridge - but not getting hurt. I was still saying things out loud to make them happen and this felt awkward and didn't really work all that well this time since I focusing on the float/fly at the same time. So I started just thinking what I wanted, and at times visualizing it while going along. This meant closing my eyes to make things change, which was also awkward and didn't help much either, as not all changes were those I wanted and my floating / flying left a lot left to be desired. It got really weird, as at one point there were FROGS on the bridge when I approached it, when I had expected nothing there, or perhaps flowers or plants there. So I closed my eyes, mid hover/float/fly and focused on green plants being there instead. The frogs went, but again I almost crashed just making that happen. So I figured, closing eyes not so good in lucid dreams if you are not firmly on the ground walking. Maybe it works for those who are actually good at flying yet, but for little bumbling me it didn't work well.

I messed around with the bridge and the floating for a tiny bit more and then tried to get better at manifesting things in dreams. Frogs just were not what I wanted to experience, so I wanted to practice stuff a bit better. Seemed to me
like the dream environment changes very easily on it's own, and things change there very quickly -- even randomly it seemed. Might have been the nyquil too though in retrospect.

Not sure how I got to the next part of the dream, but I was somewhere else with someone else, a girl. I worked on trying to make things happen in the dream scene. In this case it was having flowers be in different places and growing. This was
not as easy as it sounds since we were indoors this time. Again, I was using the whole closing eyes thing and it did not work at all, even with visualizing what I wanted to happen where. No flower. I know this time it was different than the food dream where I was walking around the corner to make something BE there when I got there. No I was just right there, not moving from place to place. I have a feeling the girl was trying to TEACH me and helping me figure it all out. No easy ways out this time, such as having doors or walking around to aid in my manifesting. There were only flower pots and dirt there; and a photo of the plant to be manifested as well as ones that the girl had manifested before me.

After experimentation, one of the things that did work very well was actually manipulating time in the dream realms to make things happen. I had seen enough time lapse videos online, so I used that to actually make the flowers grow and
prosper before my eyes. WITHOUT having to close my eyes or change positions this time. This was neat and I had no idea that that could be done. I did this a few times to get practice in it.

Then I wanted to try to get roses there, red roses. The other plants were already around or there were pictures of them around, so they were easier to manifest and bring into reality. All of them were yellow, and yellow/whitish and they looked nothing like roses. Roses were no where in sight; so it would be a lot harder. The pots that were there were too small, I needed something larger to make a rose bush that was blooming. Trying again first to close my eyes and visually create a pot for them to grow in was not working. So I tried to merely create a small bowl out of nothing, which did work. Then using my thoughts and the dream realm's laws of creating things to make it bigger just by wanting it to be bigger. This was very odd but interesting enough it did actually worked. No clue how though.

Sadly at this time the dream became odd and somewhat unstable. I may have gotten to exited at actually seeing all this cool stuff around me and actually making things appear out of thin air. Or maybe my logical mind made me analyze the impossibility of the situation too much. I started losing lucidity and control; but tried my best to hold on to it. The girl suddenly seemed much older, which I didn't notice when she changed over. She also turned the nice long flower pot I had managed to make into a canoe all of a sudden; saying we should use it to go somewhere. There were also two other people that she referred to which were nearby and around now too, that she named as those who should go with us. No clue how ANY of that happened; especially in less than 30 seconds while I was focusing on flower pots and roses and seeming like I had the hang of it.

Then the dream changed again. Not sure if I tried to change it or if it just did because of the weirdness and loss of control factor. I might have simply walked off. My dream recall also went offline at this time. I found myself walking going up stairs or something, probably trying to go outside again. I noticed something small being off where the dream tried to imitate reality but caught on it it and knew I was still dreaming. That awareness stuff does work. So I tried to ignore that and keep going; to continue being lucid. It would have worked, but instead I woke up. It turned out that all my medicine had worn off and I was coughing with a runny nose laying in bed awake.

In retrospect:

For one I have a feeling that I caught on to the initial shift, the sudden change of dream between the office building and the outside grassy area with the people on it and the bridge in the background. Together with my statement to myself that I wanted to have a lucid dream before falling to sleep got me into a successful lucid dream; even being sick and on medicine.

Sadly the medicine might have had an effect on things though, which might have sabotaged me there in the end and maybe even have had something to do with the frogs, and other sudden shifts in the dream scene. Since I have not had too many lucid dreams I have no idea if these shifts and oddities are normal or not. Or perhaps it was the fact that I was sick to begin with that caused problems, as the only reason I woke up was the fact that my throat was scratchy and I awoke to coughing.

Floating is getting a little better, than in my first two lucid dreams I had but only when I go about it slow and methodical. All in all I'm still VERY clumsy with it as a mode of transportation. Flying is even worse. Not sure if this is because of lack of practice, not knowing what I need to be doing to make it work, or if it's because I have a fear of heights and falling and don't like going anywhere in fast speeds in real life. I'd love to eventually ask some other dreamers about this if it's normal or if that's because of my fears in waking life.

Manifesting is getting much better, as long as I don't close my eyes when hovering and flying around. Using the time lapse technique helped a lot. More than I would have thought. Also learning that things can be created and changed before your eyes helps too, in a way this forced me to suspending the thought of impossibility in that matter. All in all it was odd that I thought of them out of the blue, because I never heard anyone mention these two techniques in the dream forums. I do know, learning to pay attention to subtle things is VERY helpful in lucid dreaming, so the techniques that make you pay attention to little things will be practiced much more by me over the next few weeks. I had an incredible amount of knowledge from my waking life, including knowing to stay calm, and that frogs on a bridge should not be there and a number of other things. This was not the case in my other two lucid dreams I had before; so I do think there is a degree of awareness that can be different from dream to dream. Control was a little harder though than in my first dream, but about as tricky as in my second one; but then again I was trying to make more things happen at once and they were a little harder than merely manifesting some food and eating it.

I have also no idea how long I was lucid, but it felt like a nice long dream; not as short as the other two I had. This one may have lasted five to ten minutes, maybe even longer. Making it through a shift in dream scene was pretty impressive too, as in the other ones I never made it through a shift. I either woke up or I shifted and lost lucidity. This was also the one I felt I was the most lucid, remembering even little details from real life and ending up having the most control in the dream scene what I wanted to do. Still not perfect though, there is still more room for improvement.

All in all I cannot believe that I actually created flowers. From scratch. THAT WAS WAY COOL. Though frog covered bridges.... well .... uhmm, no thanks. I'll blame that one on the yquil, which I'm quite sensitive to even hours after the fact. Can't wait to try more.

HayaH ---

PS: After reading more it seems I did a DEILD chaining method I did not even know existed. Way cool. Was also cool to find out that control is normally not easy for newbies and that I was not the only one walking around my dreams saying things I wanted to happen out loud before attempting them. I can tell I'm gonna have lots of fun with this once I get better at it.

LD#13 DILD/WILD/OBE?

Monday, 1/9/12 Bed 2am

Before bed last night I read Waggoner’s Lucid dreaming book, I just finished it, as a matter of fact.

Last pages deal with inducing DILDs via MILD. Formal and informal suggestions. I specifically paid attention to part from Castaneda’s book “The road to…”, how don Juan was telling him to look at his hands in his dream and Castaneda didn’t understand, how in the heck is he suppose to do it.

So I looked at my hands while saying “tonight in my dream I will look at my hands and realize I’m dreaming”. I also said this every time I woke up at night, and at WBTB.

DR: 3am Lots of people, bunch of thoughts, activities about Lding

WBTB 6am-7:50am

LD - woke up from LD at 9:40am

I was trying to WILD, but fell asleep before anything happened. I had quite a long dream before I somehow realized I’m dreaming. So this would be a DILD. But I didn’t look at my hands. I did finger/palm RC and it was the weirdest one so far.
My thumb went in just half way into my palm before I stopped pushing, because it was so real. Not like a playdough in previous RCs. When I pulled my thumb out, there was a big wound that started to close up, I could swear, there was blood. Quite uncomfortable.

But I also remember trying to roll out and levitate out at the same time and I remember hovering above my bed and not knowing how to stand up. That would be WILD/OBE.

LD- I’m in a big, one story house. Lots of rooms, lots of people. It’s some kind of a trip. My mom is visiting, rest of the family has left. I tell her, we should go and do something, since she is the only one left visiting.

There was a bunch of kids and cats. Someone put some chicken soup in the yard for their cats, so all the cats from neighborhood were hanging around the yard and inside the house. One kid got eye infection and we were like oh, great, not everybody will get it.

I somehow realized I’m dreaming. I’m floating around in a house, propelling myself by touching furniture. Suddenly my left had gets stuck to the cabinet. I look, and the cabinet handle was just fixed with some strong glue. I have to pull my hand hard to get it free, it feels like skin from my thumb will peel off.

I get to the room I was before and think about what to do, when I remember I wanted to look at my cats in OOB. I see both of them and they look normal. I squat down and call them. My boy starts hissing and backs away, but a kitten that I don’t know goes after my hand and wants to play.

Then I’m outside. It’s night. I remember I wanted to go to the moon. But I also remember, that I have changed my mind and wanted to stay close and explore the city. I look up and there is the moon, tiny, behind a mist and is rapidly getting smaller until it disappears.

I start flying around, bouncing of bushes and trees. Everything feels real, branches hitting me in face, and I can smell jasmine and see it’s small white flowers everywhere. Try to fly up but not much luck.

There are 3 tree trunks, like a birch, but completely white. I try to fly to the top, propelling myself with my hands, but it’s not easy. I wake up.

loads of strange moments last night. i remember being chased by some vicious red squirrels for one. someone gave me some juice and i told them about rubicon and the amazing fruits they use. my friend fell off this ledge on his bike and i realised it was dream. i floated down to help him out.

a group of old school mates were gathered round asking me why i wasnt part of the group anymore. they were talking about some kind of money collection going round and asking why i wasnt gonna be any part of it. i just asked them to try to explain to me why they felt i had to be a part of it which they didnt seem able to do. probably because ive been thinking about the poppy thing lately. we were messing around after, and it seemed like they were trying to get me to drink something from this milk bottle. i decided to just spray it around instead which started a little ruck which i wasnt involved in. some girl was at the bottom of it so i went to find her later to apologise.

then it got weird again. i floated up the side of this building to find her where she was sunbathing with a friend. as i got there though all i found was dust and all logic fell from my mind. i called out to her as if she was the dust but all this did was blow the dust away. this kind of made me snap back to logic and i just found the whole situation pretty funny

It was in the time of ancient egypt (I'd never realy thought about that since 6th grade), there was a peasant and a pharaoh, I was watching from above, completely disembodied eyes. We were in a mud-brick hall, the ceiling raised about 40 feet. I could hear muffled talking going between the two, I moved closer. It was like a picture from a computer, as I zoomed in, there was less detail. The outlines got bigger and everything. I was suddenly on their side, at ground level. I could make out some words, but I forget most of them, then the peasant said:
"No, I cannot trust you with two hands full,"
(This of course made no sense and then I woke up)

SP

This occurred during a nap.

I was laying there and dozing off when I felt like I was close to SP. I focused and tried to roll out of my body. I felt my arms start to extend over my head, although I knew my real body was not moving. I tried to get out of bed and I started floating up a few feet. As I tried to open my dream eyes, I woke up. I tried it again and the same thing happened. This time I floated for awhile and started drifting across my room. But once I tried to stand up, I woke up again.
15. I hate tourists!

A dream from a few weeks ago, I got some catch up to do!

I was walking through ruins composed of the remains of what looked like a brick structure and several other structures making up the size of about two houses. The ground was made of sand and there was no sign of any other structures in the distance.

I lived there and had a few furnishings spreed throughout the ruins such as a bed next to the remains of a couple of walls, a small dresser and a table all spaced apart.

Out of nowhere a flock of tourist shows up and starts walking through my ruins taking pictures, most of them in Hawaiian shirts and carrying fancy cameras with huge lenses. I begin to yell at them, saying that I live there and that they can't be here without permission.

One of them started to go through a drawer in my table and I ran over to him and asked him what he was doing. He responded with something like "I can do whatever I want, what is it to you?" I was suddenly holding a bag I own with my hard drives in it and a shoved the tourist against the wall and thrust-ed the bag at his head. It landed with a thud on the table next to him and his face filled with fear. I angrily told him that this was my home and that they needed to get out. He said he was just here to see the ghosts, and I told him I didn't care and that he needed to leave.

I released him from my angry grasp and he began to back away still scared. Suddenly a ghost appeared behind me, and called out to me. I turned around, said hi, and began to talk to him. We had clearly been friends for awhile.

All of the tourists stopped what they were doing and stared blankly at the phenomenon I was talking to. We continued to catch up and I took his hands in a friendly gesture. Holding hands I walked with him suspended several feet in the air well over the tourists heads. They were all still frozen with amazement.
