    1. Dream, Make the Light Work

      I became lucid almost immediately at the beginning of this dream, or at least at the beginning of what I can remember of this dream. I was in my house, near the front door. The lighting was rather poor, like someone had turned the dimmer switch down a lot. I suddenly had an epiphany that I was dreaming, and shouted, "yes!"

      I didn't have as much energy as my usual lucids, probably because I wasn't as aware as usual. Given the lucid/recall dryspell I'd been going through, that wasn't really much of a surprise. I plugged my nose quickly and tried to breathe; I could, so it confirmed the dream. I was about to walk out the door, but first I wanted to fix the lighting. I looked down at the floor - it was made up of big square pieces of medium brown hardwood, and there was no carpet like there should have been. "Dreams do tend to mess things up..." I said.

      I looked to the right, now standing almost directly in front of the door, and saw an arcing floor lamp. It was all silver, and had a circular marble-type base. The end of it was shaped like a half circle, which could swivel to direct light. The bulb, just a plain halogen bulb, wasn't on. I looked at it and commanded, "turn on."

      Nothing happened.

      I didn't want to spend the rest of the time trying to command the bulb to work, so I spoke directly to the dream. "Dream, make the light work."

      The bulb turned on in an instant. It didn't affect how bright the room itself was, but the bulb itself glowed just like a normal bulb.

    2. Surroundings control

      HEY EVERYONE HAVEN'T POSTED IN A FEW DAYS HAD A VERY BUSY END OF THE WEEK AND WEEKEND....NOW TO THE GOOD STUFF....LOL......WELL MY LUCIDS THIS WEEKEND WERE EXERCISES TO CONTROL MULTIPLE SURROUNDINGS.....WHAT I DID WAS I CREATE A HIGH RISE I JUMPED OFF NOW INSTEAD OF FLYING I WILL TRY TO CREATE THREE DIFFERENT THINGS IN MY SURROUNDINGS......EXAMPLE I JUMPED OFF, AS I FELL I CHANGED THE OTHER BUILDINGS INTO MOUNTAINS ON BOTH SIDES AND A WATER FALL IN THE MIDDLE.....AND A FORD MUSTANG FALLING IN FRONT OF ME BUT I CHANGED THEM 3 TIMES...I DIDN'T HIT THE GROUND...THAT'S THE TRICK TO KEEP THE FALL GOING COMPLETE CONCENTRATION WHILE CONTROLLING MULTIPLE SURROUNDINGS.....IT'S VERY VERY FUN I WAKE UP REFRESHED GREAT ITS AMAZING...I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS AS YOU GET MORE AND MORE LUCID YOU NEED TO TRY EVEN HARDER THINGS AND EVEN TRAIN YOURSELF WHILE YOUR AWAKE I CAN TEACH THESE TECHNIQUES JUST EMAIL ME ANY TIME.
    3. Random Little Adventures

      My friend and I had decided to race buses. I think she beat me, but her bus needed some heavy work if it was going to work again. We parked our buses in my driveway. She got out and went inside while I hung in my bus, cleaning up some stuff.

      I heard growling, and looked out the back window. Behind my bus, there was a wolf and a bear attacking each other. Wow! The wolf was winning. After the wolf finished off the bear, it stalked around the bus. It could see me and wanted something else to fight.

      I ducked onto the floor to try to avoid being seen. It clawed at the windows and wasn't giving up. Something made me think to wonder if I was dreaming. I don't remember if I did a reality check or not, but I was pretty sure that I was dreaming.

      I jumped out of the bus and the wolf and I engaged in combat. The wolf didn't stand a chance, he was finished within the minute.

      I wondered what I would do in this lucid. I needed to learn to teleport. Should I snap my fingers and will myself somewhere else or close my eyes and spin, or should I zoom into a picture? I thought about that for a minute, and decided to try each option.

      I can't snap my fingers IRL. So, maybe that attempt was already doomed for failure because it didn't transfer well into the dream. I realized that I really didn't have a specific place in mind that I wanted to go to. Could I just ask my subconscious to create a random place? I sort of liked the scenery here. Bright blue open skies, warm, and in my backyard. I wasn't sure where else I would chose to go.

      I was going to try the spinning technique when I remembered what happened last time, a few years back. I had been lucid and decided to do a spinning teleport. Once I arrived at my destination, I forgot to stop spinning and open my eyes and I ran into a pole. It was fail. At least it had worked though.

      The last technique that I was going to try was where you zoom into a picture. I felt the urge to pee. I willed myself not to, knowing that it would just be a waste of time and it was only sensation in RL transferring over. I found a dried up leaf on the ground and examined it carefully. It was a dark red color and had many striations on it. Looking deeper, I could even see the cells! The striations reminded me of mountains, which is where I decided that I would teleport to. I tried to focus my vision into engulfing the picture, but I was failing.

      "Hi Steff!" I heard Joe behind me. Oh no, not another ninja Joe to fight off ! I turned around, and saw that he was holding a dobak. He wasn't in karate, so I asked him why.

      "They are holding a scary movie marathon!" He exclaimed.

      "Oh, that's cool."

      "Yeah I'll just leave you to your flying and stuff," He responded.

      "Do you want a ride?" I asked him. I was getting a little bored, and fancied some exploration.

      "Sure!" He took my hand and we flew to the dojang. Once we got there we went inside and saw that they had set up a large couch in the hallway. To the side of the couch there was a horror flick on the TV screen. The movie was about some kind of intense gore. It looked like a giant caterpillar was being brutally murdered. I decided I probably shouldn't watch this while lucid as it might influence my dream negatively again lol.

      I went upstairs where it was dark. I decided it would look cool if I made my fingers look like bright neon glowsticks. The glow looked like a slowly spreading disease on my fingertips. It was hard to force the glow to encompass all of my fingers, but I got really close. Still sorta bored, I decided to try and walk through a wall. I had never been much good at it. I faced the wall and slowly walked through. At first it felt like passing a hard barrier, but it gave away as soon as I got past it. As I walked through the wall, I fell down 2 stories on to the ground. Oops, I forgot that I was upstairs.

      I was now sitting back on the grass in my backyard, and everything was sunny again. There was a gazebo in the middle of the yard. I wondered if it had any significance.

      I went inside the house and decided to summon Retribution. He appeared, but looked like the Chrysler Building. I willed him away and summoned a new version of him. We had epic sex but he disappeared shortly after. Ugh, guys these days.

      Bored and alone, I decided to play the piano. I wondered if I could subconsciously remember songs that I learned years and years ago. I put my hands on the keyboard and tried to play The Entertainer. I knew that my dream could easily reproduce the sounds and fool me into thinking that I had got it down, so I payed more attention to the motions that my hands were making. It didn't feel right, and thus the sound was strange.

      "I Am Batman"


      As you might have guessed, I was Batman, in this dream.
      The first thing I remember was sneaking across a dark road, at night, out in the middle of nowhere. There was a large compound, surrounded by a fence, on the other side of this road, and I knew that it was the hideout of a gang of thugs. (I have to start noticing these criminal HQs as dream signs. They have been showing up a lot, lately.) Hoping over the fence, I came upon a parking area, moving swiftly between the cars and keeping my head down, trying to stay to the shadows. There were apparently hundreds of people here, though, and some of them were still coming and going. I could not help being caught in a few headlights, while moving from place to place, but no one who saw me really seemed alarmed - at least, at first. One of the cars sped passed me, missing me by inches. Tracking it with my eyes, I saw the car turn around and come back to make a second attempt to hit me. Again, I dodged at the last second, slinging my fist out and smashing it through the driver's side window, punching the guy in the face. Having shattered his face with the heavy blow, I reached in and grabbed the man, interrogating him and getting information about the people inside.

      I was now in the base. It was basically a slum within a large, industrial building; drugs; goons; women; small, ratty apartments; etc. I knew that I was vastly out-numbered, though, so I relied mainly on stealth. Even though the compound was pretty well-lit, and I didn't have many shadows to work with, I used any nooks and crannies I could find, to stay hidden as I moved from room to room. I had the infamous utility belt, with a seemingly endless array of non-lethal weapons, which I used to subdue key criminals and gather information. One of these detainees was a monk of some sort. He was the one that gave me the most information about the organization, and revealed it to be - at its core - some type of cult. He took me to a room where, on a stone wall, I saw something written in what looked like blood. It said something about the coming return of Quetzalcoatl, and that being the whole reason for the cult's existence. It was around here, that I realized I was dreaming. I was still in the Batsuit, and it felt amazing. Enjoying the scenario way too much, I hid the monk in a bathroom, but I couldn't find a pair of cuffs or anything, on my belt (surprisingly), to lock him down. Since I knew I was dreaming, I tried to create a pair, between the man's arm and a steel bar. I could almost see it flicker into solidity, but it just would not make that transition into a tangible object.

      Not really wanting to waste too much time on it, I just left the man unchained, and went on about my search for more information. I continued slinking through the hallways, like only Batman could, and it was so much more than just doing an 'impression' of him. I felt like I was him, yet still very conscious of the fact that I wasn't. Interesting feeling, and I was enjoying every minute of it. I came upon a room with two thugs inside, and felt like I could use a quick scrap. They were both sitting in chairs, near each other. I could tell that one of them was much bigger than the other. Knowing that there were two of them, I decided to rush them and take them by surprise. I burst into the room (which wasn't much bigger than the three of us), and sucker punched the smaller guy, laying him out, slumped down into the chair. Immediately, I turned to the left, about to attack the other guy, before he got out of his chair. But that's when I noticed how big this guy was. He hadn't even flinched. He just sat there, within my arm's reach, glaring at me. Slowly, calmly, he stood up. This dude was some 7 feet tall, and like 300lbs of muscle. I felt like a kid, compared to him. And I could tell, by his demeanor, that he and I were on the same page.

      Unfortunately, I don't remember too much of our fight. Just a myriad of punches and dodges. I do remember, at one point, he hit me with a punch to the gut that would have crippled a rhinoceros. I actually felt the armored padding in the suit soften the blow - even though, before that point, I hadn't really thought about how thick it was. (I love that the subconscious just fills in these little details, on its own. Always amazes me.) By this time, I was just having the time of my life, being Batman. I was taunting one of the goons and even threw on an imitation of his voice, from Batman: the Animated Series (which is about my favorite incarnation of Batman), and I actually surprised myself at how much I sounded like him. Can't remember what I said, though. Also, while navigating the maze of hallways, I was just kind of "creating" which weapons I would need, from my utility belt. Anything that fit my situation, at the time, I would find. This part of the dream seemed like it lasted a good little while, but I can only recall certain, blurry, flashes of images.

      Finally, I made it to the quarters of the compound's leader. He was a young, Spanish dude that kind of reminded me of that crazy muhfucka Peoples Hernandez, from the Shaft movie. It was just he and I, standing in a service area, surrounded by steel pipes and concrete - metal grates and steps. I actually saw something of a HUD come up, in my field of view, as if this were a boss fight in some video game. There was a reticle "on-screen", that showed stats and everything, as we fought. It was an awesome hand-to-hand fight, but I don't really remember too many of the details of it.


      (Also, THIS has been my desktop, for the past few weeks, so I'm not surprised about having another Batman dream. Haha.)

    5. Cobblestone Path

      Hide and Seek
      Walking along a cobblestone path, the same on that I was walking on in one of my first lucids, this time walking with a girl I don't recognize.. I do a nose RC because of the surreal landscape, and perhaps because I just came out of a nightmare I think.. anyways noseplug RC succeeds and I affirm that I am dreaming to myself. I remember how last time I was occupied trying to fix my fading vision and thus woke myself up, and recalled that in fact touch is the most prominent stabilizing factor in dreams, so I directed my attention toward my body, my posture, the weight of my jeans on my legs, the smell of the grass and forest we are approaching.. the path ends and we enter some woods with trees with rather large trunks, perhaps cedar.. the girl playfully hides behind some trees and I'm trying to find her, and cannot locate her anymore. Vision starts to fade and I focus on my body and remain conscious, and maintained consciousness through the fading dream into waking, awoke feeling incredibly refreshed.


      Well I was happy when waking from this LD because I maintained lucidity for approximately 2min, longest achieved thus far that I can remember. Also, I remembered to stay calm and do what I had intended to do which is also a first, rather than try to immediately jump into the sky without thinking or sex up the lady that I was walking with.

      Car Nap

      I don't remember what the dream was about, but I remember taking a nap on the drive back from Boston to Detroit.. I suddenly became aware that I had slipped into the dream state while experiencing HI, the first time I've ever accomplished that. I then tried to run and was incredibly excited and immediately woke myself up. ..

    6. Shower frag

      Nap DILD, napping in the room, get up and get in the shower, washing my hair, very warm in the shower. I go to rinse out my hair and when I feel my head the hair is dry, so I do a noseplug RC and it is successful. I realize that I am dreaming and decide to stabilize the dream so I rub my hands and say "stabilize my dream".. I try to look at the floor, off white tiles, very white/light bathroom. I get out very slowly for some reason, but I cannot open my right eye too well and feel uneasy. I cannot get my vision to adjust properly so I try to force my eyes to open up really wide and wind up opening my eyes and wake up!

    7. Forgotten lucid and FA

      Okay. I'm gonna sit at this computer and record these dreams! I feel like the computer drains me of vital energy, and feel reluctant to stay at it.

      Had a lucid dream but forgot it once I woke up! first time that has happened to me, and I get the feeling that it was the greatest lucidity I have attained so far in the dream. Near the end I recalled an incredibly vivid scene recall of skateboarding on the roof of a large school building with some other people, brick, sunny day, in some sort of small city scape, one massive tree in the front yard and some sidewalks.. Headed around the roof shaped like a large L and made way to a glass roofed sloped section of the roof, where I heard DC down on the street below talking about gangs in the school, then I feel the dream fading so I spin with my eyes closed, slowly and completely, with the only sensation I was experiencing of my body slowly and powerfully spinning. I think to myself "my bedroom, my bedroom" and opening my eyes find myself lying in my bed!

      I do a nose RC and it is successful, FA! So I go to get up, propped up on my arms, but I focus on the muscular activity of pulling myself up too much and experience and a very intense pain/spasm in my right shoulder, and I remember that my physical body is lying down with my arms back behind my head since it was a WILD attempt/induction, and I can't shake off the pain since my physical body probably used a combination of muscles which put strain on the shoulder trying to imitated the movements of my dream body. Since I couldn't gather the will to get past the sensation I woke myself up and shifted positions and tried to enter back into the dream but couldn't fall back asleep.


      After spending two nights with intense WILD attempts I decided that WILD would be an excellent and direct method for me to develop, and have resolved to schedule a practice regiment for this pursuit.

      Got a lucid dream for my birthday. Just wish it would have been a more pleasant one. Usually, I will count false awakenings as separate dreams, but since this is all so continuous, and had such a "dreams within dreams" feeling, I will count it as one.

      "Arachnoception"


      (I had just gotten a copy of Inception, and decided to watch it, last night, while going to bed, to try to induce something Inception-related. I got more than I bargained for...)

      I can barely remember the early parts of this dream, but I was driving through DeLand, with Josh. We were taking the road that passes the landfill, on the way back over to my side of town. For some reason, we had to take a detour through the landfill. While driving through it, we apparently stumbled onto some kind of criminal(?) element, and were dragged out of the car, at gunpoint. We were taken inside, and the only thing I remember here, is that I was in what I think was a bathroom, and I got attacked by some creature. It was about the size of a rat, and I believe its body wasn't actually organic. It seemed to be something of a shell, made out of what I think was a child's toy. From within the object, spider-leg-like tendrils protruded, which served as both legs and powerful pincers. It reminded me a lot of the creeping coffins, from Lords of Shadow (which I have been playing, lately). I had to fight like hell, to keep this thing off of me, but eventually got away from it. Not much longer, after that, the cops showed up and raided the compound, starting a huge firefight. In the fray, we were able to escape, and I vaguely remember a small dog being killed, in the fight.

      The next thing I knew, I was waking up, in my bed. It was still night out, and Inception was still playing, on my computer. After a moment, I stepped out of bed, and I was immediately ambushed by the "creeping toy" creature, from the dream. It came from out of nowhere, and ran up my leg, biting and scratching with its pincher/legs. This thing fought with all the ferocity of a rabid squirrel, and I could not get it off of me. My leg was getting mangled by the little creature, and it hurt like Hell.

      Once again, though, I woke up in my bed. The pest from the dream was nowhere in sight. However, this time, I got out of bed and was met with a dull pain in my leg. Switching on the light, I saw that my leg had bruises in like 6 different places, and it was throbbing. My muscles were progressively tightening, and I could instantly tell that there was venom running through it. I was so confused, though. I knew it had to have been a dream. Right? Hobbling out of bed, I made my way over to my mom's side of the house, surprised to see that she was up this early. My leg was growing worse, when I showed her, dark black spots showing up, and the skin tightening, to where you could start to see the shapes of the tendons. She kind of shrugged it off, and said it would be ok if I just didn't mess with it. More bewildered about the whole thing, than anything else, I just walked back to my room and went back to bed.

      And, once again, I awoke in my bed. The pain in my leg was gone, as was any sign of the bruises. So, naturally, I assumed that it had all just been a dream. But, again, just as I stepped out of bed, I was attacked by the creature from the "previous dream." It scurried up through my robe, and around my back. It never bit me, this time, but its steps were like thousands of thick, fingernail jabs, themselves, scrambling all around the upper part of my body. I was able to get a hold of the thing and grab its "legs," holding them open so that they couldn't form the pincers that they had, before. This thing was strong, like a tiny bear trap, but I held the tendrils open, again making my way to show it to my mom. By this time, I didn't know WTF was going on, and I just wanted to know that I wasn't going crazy. On my way out of my room, I passed my pet dog...oblivious to the fact that I don't actually have a pet dog. I did, however, think that it was strange that I recognized the dog as the little dog who'd gotten killed, in the "first dream." Unfortunately, I already had my hands full, and I didn't stop long enough to realize this as a dream sign. Instead, I took the creature over to my mom's room to show her. She looked down at my hands, then back up at me, then back down at my hands. She said..."that's just dead skin," with a confused look of concern on her face. I looked down, and saw that she was right. I was just holding a handful of what looked like gator hide.

      By this time, I thought I'd completely lost my mind. Apparently, my mom did, too. She cocked an eyebrow at me and said "Uhh...I have some pills or something...if you need them?" implying that she was afraid I'd completely cracked. Puzzled beyond all hope, I just turned around and walked back to my room. I kept thinking about Inception, and maybe that the idea had somehow been planted into my mind that this spider-thing existed, when it really didn't. I just felt really defeated by my lack of understanding of the whole thing, and just went back to sleep.

      The next thing I knew, it was the middle of the day. I was talkin with some guys I was unfamiliar with, who my mom had let into the house. Throughout the time they were here, we'd gotten into smoking and they informed me that they sold. We pretty much just hung around the house for a while, and I tried telling them about the dreams I'd been having lately, about the crazy little monster thing. Nobody seemed all that interested, though. Later, those guys and I were heading out somewhere. We'd gotten into the car, when one of them said he left something inside the house, tossing a huge bag of weed into the car, before walking back to get whatever it was. I kept yelling at him to hurry up, because I didn't want to be just sitting here, with the huge sack in the car. He was just taking his sweet time, and it was annoying the hell out of me.

      Of course, just as I was beginning to suspect there might be cops nearby, I heard "WOOP-WOOP," a siren barking at us from behind. I actually can't remember if I was driving or not, but we sped off, down the road, the cops chasing us. We were driving in a slick sports car, and just hauling ass, but they were catching up. (Been playing a bit of Grand Theft Auto, also. Haha.) The guy next to me started freaking out, and dumping all kinds of contraband out the window - everything from weed to small bags of cocaine, which I didn't even know were in the car. In a quick, 3rd-person view, I saw the white powder blowing all over the people on the sides of the road. It was actually pretty hilarious. Suddenly, back in first-person, I got an idea. We pulled over, and I waited for the cops to come within a stone's-throw from our tail, before chucking a bag of coke at their windshield, at the last moment. It blotted out most of the glass, and they ended up swerving to miss our car, and crashing into some nearby pedestrians. Then, for the first time, after all of this chaos, I realized just how absurd all of this actually was. I realized that this had to be a dream.

      The other guy in the car was still freaking out, telling me that we had to get the hell out of here. I just laughed and told him to relax, stepping over to the crashed police SUV. Gathering all my strength, I reached a fist up over my head and swung it downward, trying to destroy the engine block, like I'd done to other cars, while lucid. This time, though, I was only able to dent the hood. It was a little more superhuman than waking life, but not what I expected. I tried a few more times, swinging heavy punches at the hood and grille, but I couldn't get anymore damage than about what a baseball bat might have done. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy with this. I was determined, though. I kept thinking that the cops might try to shoot me, through the windshield, but I was already prepared to either dodge the bullets, or just let them hit me. Thinking that there had to be some other way to get through to the engine, the idea just kind of struck me: A light-saber! I had never created one, while lucid, so I figured that this would be a good time to try. Holding my hands up, beside me, as if gripping a sword, I tried to materialize the weapon out of thin air, imaging it growing to length. Nothing happened, though. The dream was very vivid, and I was having a hard time controlling it.

      As if by my cue, the cop in the passenger seat held up a blue light-saber of his own, grinning behind the powder-covered windshield. Now even more determined to have one, I made a motion as if it was already in my hand, stabbing directly at the grille, while trying hard to visualize the weapon coming into existence. Finally, I saw the orange glow. The tip of the blazing saber burned into the grill like it was paper, eating through the metal and sinking further into the engine block. I gave a quick tug of my arms, drawing the blade sideways and widening the hole, completely putting the truck out of commission. My accomplice and I then hopped back in the car and prepared to take off again, but instead, I simply woke up, for real.


      After a few reality checks - which I should have done, the first few times I 'woke up' - I got up and started jotting notes down.

      (This felt like a B6-enhanced dream - very vivid and chaotic - but I didn't take any B6 before bed. Most likely, it was the Reese's Cups I ate, late last night. It would have been nice to just have had a bad-ass lucid, but all that shit with the spider-creature-thing just made the whole thing unpleasant. It was still early as hell, but I didn't bother going back to sleep, after this one.)
    9. Piranha-Inspired Aquatic Nightmare plus Brief Lucidity in the Back of a Car

      I was scuba diving with my instructor on the face of a giant wall covered in coral & plants. A stingray appeared out of no where & was pretty amazing to watch as it undulated on its way up the wall. It attacked my instructor, but not with its tail. It had two big fangs/talons that came out of the top side & really messed him up. Then it attacked me. I tried to whip it with something & caught it on the "nose". Don't remember how this one resolved or if I just woke up.

      Second dream I was in the backseat of a car that was parked with the break set. The car started rolling back, then moving forward. I grabbed the wheel & drove the car around the parking lot in a circle. Once I had circled a full revolution, I was back to where I'd been before but the parking lot was different. I realized this was a dream & decided to fly. While flying I remembered I had lost lucidity last time because I closed my eyes, so I tried to make sure my eyes were open WIDE. When I did this, I opened my eyes in bed & I was instantly awake. Bummer.

      Dreaming Lucid Awake sidenotes

      I was in the cafeteria where my school variety show was. We just got finished with the last show. I then became lucid and started to think of the things I could do. I picked up a nearby water bottle and dumped it on one of my friends head. (just because I could!) I laughed and said to her, "Ha, it doesn't even matter because this is my dream!" I then went over to the window to look at the outside and it was dark out with stars. There was smoke coming out of the building so I bragged to my friend Cat that I could make all of that smoke disappear right out of the sky at my own will. Using my power I did it and made all of the stars really visible. Then I made a bunch of butterflies come out of the bushes and I could control them around. Then the dream started to fade. I awake and then I'm laying there thinking, I really want to continue that dream. It all came back to me except my location was different. Hey, I'm still lucid! I thought. I went and looked around and it was as if I was in a big living room with a tall ceiling. There was blue carpeting and a couple vending machines and couches. There were people on the couches but I don't remember their faces. I walked over to a light switch to see if it would actually turn on a light. I flipped the switch and a light shined on my friend. It was weird to me because usually in dreams, this doesn't happen. I remain lucid, and walk over to a vending machine. I waved my hand at it and out came a pop. I gave it to one of my friends and then looked at my hands. I counted five fingers on each but they didn't look right. The last thing I remember thinking is, In reality, I'm really just laying in bed dreaming all of this. Then I woke up. I had fun though!

      I realize now that this is not a good method for being lucid. Distorting reality makes the dream bland and blurry. It was not a very clear lucid but it was still good. I also realized later on that I performed a DEILD without even knowing it. If anyone reads this, I'm warning you now not to do this in your LDs because it makes the dream fade, FAST. You should always find an excuse to why you have the powers. i.e. when I controlled the smoke I should have picked up something that gave me that power. Or have someone teach me how to do it. You get the picture... If not PM me and we'll talk!

      I was working back at the insurance company, where I'd used to work, a few years ago. At first, it just seemed to be regular office life. There was a lot of conversation that went on, but I don't remember much of it. I do remember being hit on by an attractive, slightly older woman, and just kind of smiling it off. Come to find out, instead of being just an insurance company, we were also, apparently, a mint. There was a goldsmith there, who kind of reminded me of the Haitian, from Heroes, and he was more or less "making" this gold, by weaving a bunch of metals together, into long, golden ropes, and then would break down the compound and press coins out of them. We were printing so many, that I almost couldn't fathom not being able to keep one or two for myself. I mean, it was like an endless supply of gold, here. Surely they wouldn't miss one or two coins.

      At first, I tried to ask KE, my old boss. She adamantly refused. Keeping a playful tone, I jabbed at her a few times, to see if she would give in. I said that we could just "pretend they fell off the delivery truck," and she refused again. I could tell that she was getting kind of annoyed, so I let it be and started walking back to my desk. On the way over, I passed the smithy. There was a large pile of coins just sitting there in front of me. By this time, I was determined. I glanced around real quick and swiped two coins, putting them in my pocket. I was curious to how much they would be worth, but really, I was more interested in just having the coins than cashing them in. (Heard a commercial on the radio, the other day, about the rarity of gold coins, and how the government is putting some back into circulation. Probably what sparked the gold coins, in this dream.)

      Well, as it turns out, these coins were being forged for some kind of foreign cartel, and they were not happy, to find out that some of their shipment was missing. After I had gotten off from work, I'd gotten word that the cartel had come into the office, realized there were coins missing, shot the smithy (and my boss, I think. Not sure), and was on a manhunt for whoever might have taken them. Most of us had been hanging out at a pool or spring or something, when we got the news. Word was that the cartel knew where we were, and was on their way to see us. Immediately, I knew that I had to get out of there. After having made them come searching for me, I was convinced that they would shoot me on site, whether I gave them the coins back or not. Quickly, I got out of the water, and started heading away from the rest of the group.

      I hadn't gotten completely free yet, though. There was a sequence here, when the cartel first showed up, and we were all running and hiding for our lives. I don't remember much of it at all. My recall skips ahead, to where a friend and I had broken away from the fray, and made it out of the area, to where we'd begun to think we were in the clear. (Don't remember who the friend was, though.) I still hadn't confessed to keeping the coins. It probably wasn't the wisest idea, but I was going to try to get out of this, without having to. We walked down a dirt road, surrounded by brush - heading somewhere I can't remember - when the cartel's Jeep turned onto the trail, behind us. When they saw us, the sped toward us, AK-47s waving in the air. We broke into frantic dashes in the opposite direction, the Jeep closing in. I tried to trail off, into the brush on the side of the road, but I knew that there was a man now right behind me, on foot, drawing down on me. I could practically feel how close he was. Knowing that attempting to crawl over the next ridge would have been futile, I rolled over on the embankment, onto my back, and stared up at the man with the huge silver handgun. He was only seconds away from squeezing the trigger. I could sense it. I knew I was about to die.

      Suddenly, just as a stoic panic set in, I realized that this couldn't be happening! I was dreaming! The realization just suddenly slapped me in the face, brushing away all fear. With an evil grin, I stood up on the embankment, and started walking slowly toward the guy with the gun. He didn't know what to think. At first, he backed up a few feet, still aiming the gun in my direction. I knew he was going to shoot, so I braced for it - unafraid, because I knew his bullets would do nothing to me. He fired off a few rounds at me while walking backward in retreat. I didn't even feel the bullets at all (which is rare, even while lucid), and I just continued walking toward him. Finally, I got within arms reach and raised one arm, grabbing the barrel of his gun and crushing it like putty, in my grip. The fear in the man's eyes grew as he, no doubt, knew what was now in store for him...

      Unfortunately, I don't remember anything after this point.

    12. Inception Elevator Dream

      This LD was pretty short, but worthy of mentioning nonetheless.

      The first thing I remember is standing in an elevator. I started to feel a weird presence, followed by a floating sensation. As I looked around, I noticed that I was floating up and down in the elevator. At this point I realised that I must be dreaming. I took a moment to take in the vividness of the dream. It's the first time I have actually realised how real LDs can feel.

      Pumped to get out into the dream world and explore, I exited the elevator.. but all I saw was blackness. Amongst this nothingness - in front of me, however, was an old market stand occupied by an elderly African-American woman. Strangely, I asked her where the beach was (why didn't I ask about the moon instead?!). She said nothing; just simply pointed back towards the elevator I had just exited.

      A little confused, I decided to follow her directions and headed back to the elevator. It went up a few levels, and as the sliding doors opened, I saw a park right next to a beach. Excited, I ran onto the sand like a lunatic, randomly talking to groups of people on the beach. Unfortunately, I don't remember any details after this, as I must have lost lucidity.

    13. Unintentionally Dreaming

      In short, I have recently been having dreams right after I fall asleep, dreams where I wake up in my bed, do something in my room or apartment, then wake up in my bed only 20 minutes after I had gone to bed.

      This has happened three times in the last 2 weeks
      - first time I woke up in my bed, realized I was dreaming, then woke up for real in my bed.

      -two nights later I woke up, went to my door, opened it and saw a strange figure, realized I was dreaming, then tried doing some lucid dreaming stuff to no avail, stumbled back to my bed, woke up for real, again only 20 or so minutes after I had gone to bed.

      -the most recent time was last night when I dreamed that I was organizing some papers on the floor of my room, I felt extremely tired, and just wanted to sleep, then woke up and realized that I had been sleeping, this again was only a short time after I had gone to bed.

      This seems to happen more when I go to bed pretty late. It is weird because I have never had dreams just after I fall asleep like this before, now it is happening all the time it seems like. Also I haven't been trying to remember my dreams or anything recently, let alone become lucid, it is just happening. Are these false awakenings of some sort? Maybe it will happen again tonight...

      So i was actually rocking out in a rock concert playing the guitar. (it was awesome) and i go down into the crowd when suddenly my guitar unplugs and every one else stops playing. Then someone I know from school wanted to sing so i was looking for something then i got out of the dream and had my eyes closed and i actually figured out right there i was dreaming and somehow forced my self back into the dream
      So i get back into the dream and start rocking out again. Later i jump off stage and see someone i actually know in real life so i tell him i'm dreaming and he just stands there and freaks

      Dreaming about running around this camp type area surrounding a huge church which had been in my dreams a few years ago. It's made of stones with mortar in between, big stain glass windows, nothing too fancy. Small parking lot surrounding immediate area, and further out, were open fields of short, green grass with sparse trees. Further still was a forest. I don't remember too many details but I was running around, maybe hiding from someone. I was mad, I was breaking things, and being destructive. Then people were attacking me, and I was fighting them off. They were organized. Maybe SWAT. Idk

      My Girlfriend woke me up and talked to me for a few minutes, then she left and I went back to sleep.

      Lucid w00t!

      I am back at the same church. I am about 4 feet away from the wall. Between me and the wall is a decorative section with bushes and small river stones. I pick up one of these stones and hurl it at the window. The window spiderwebs, and I move on. (Here is where I realize I'm lucid) I feel that I'm in Spartan Armor (I was playing alot of halo 3 the day before) I look up and see parked in one of the spaces is a WWII tank like the one in the picture above. The lower half is painted gunmetal gray, and the turret part is white with a blue lightning bolt on it. The turret adjusts and levels at me, and I realize it's about to blast me. I start running for it, and I'm running in slow motion. All the while I'm thinking 'Man this is so amazing! I'm actually controlling this!' I finally reach the tank, it still hasn't fired. I jump up on to the turret and the momentum of my run slides me across it to the hatch. With one hand I lift the hatch, and with the other I grab the driver by his shirt and lift him up. I then take hand which opened the hatch and with all my strength, I hammer him in the face with a mighty punch. I wake up.

      This is my first Lucid since joining DV. Before now I had only had 2 lucids and they were both DILDs. It only lasted 45secs or so, but it was awesome. I'm not sure if this is a DILD, or a WILD. I believe I was lucid from the beginning, I just didn't realize it. Idk, if anyone can shed any light on it, I'd be grateful.

      Also, this was the first time I've every been able to punch someone in a dream. I've tried many many times before, but it's always felt like I was punching under water. My arm and fist would move so slowly that it would barely have any momentum when it reached it's target.
