      Don't Forget Anything

I'm packing up my bags and storing everything into boxes. I don't leave until tomorrow, but I'd like to get mostly packed by tonight. I'm half awake as this is going on, and I think I should probably wake up and write down this dream. But at the same time I need to stay asleep until I'm done packing, or else I might forget to pack something. I'm almost done, so it shouldn't take long.

      A Rude Guest

I'm packing up my bags and boxes and leaving them in the front hall, for now. I've been staying at the house of a family I don't know too well, and tomorrow will be the day I leave. I look at the clock and suddenly realize that I have to leave for work. (I work evenings.) There's no time for me to move my bags out of the hallway; I'll have to leave them there. It's a pretty rude thing to do, but I hope they'll understand.

I work in an office building with lots of glass windows, where I talk with other people about something related to computers.

When I get back to the house, most of my bags are gone, and the family is back home. I manage to locate a couple of them, but there's no sign of my viola anywhere. When I ask the family where everything went, one of the daughters leads me out to the front yard. She pulls up a corner of sod in the lawn to reveal a big pit underneath, which has been stuffed full of my bags. I still don't see my viola, but the girl assures me that it's there, somewhere on the bottom of the pile. I contemplate this for a few moments. Why'd it happen? Then I turn to the father, who's standing between me and the front door, and I apologize for having left all of my bags in the front hall. From the man's reply, I can tell that it really did annoy him, and he's glad I'm moving out soon. Apparently both myself and the other person who's staying here have been rather rude houseguests ever since we got here.

      Sublet

I'm packing up my bags and boxes at my housemate "Charlie"'s apartment. My sublet is over, and it's time to go back home. I live in the same town, so I don't have far to go, but it will still be a logistical nightmare getting all of these boxes across town. Mom's agreed to pick me up with a car, though, so for now I only need to worry about getting everything outside.

Now, I have a lot of cardboard boxes, but I'm hoping that I won't need to use all of them. Even if I don't fill all of them, I'll still feel like I own way too much stuff. But every time I think I'm done packing, I look around the room to discover that there's something I've forgotten to pack. Once, Charlie takes out a couple bottles from his cupboard and offers one each to his roommate "Sam" and myself. They're leftover vodka, not terrible but not particularly good, and he's trying to get rid of them. I accept, curious but unsure if I'll ever actually use it.

I carry down my viola first, leaving it on the sidewalk near the front doorstep. Obviously I'm worried that someone will steal it, but given that this whole thing is already such a hassle, I think I just have to take the risk. When I go back upstairs, Charlie offers to help carry down some boxes and suitcases. As he's picking them up, I discover some more loose items on the floor, and I quickly toss them through a gap in the suitcases Charlie's chosen. He looks at me funny, but he doesn't say anything. Anyway, I grab some suitcases of my own, and we head downstairs. Someone's been doing some deep cleaning in the apartment, so some of the floors are damp.

My vision is blocked by the things I'm carrying, and on the ground floor I bump into a rolling suitcase that someone is carrying across the room. I take a quick hop to get over the suitcase and keep my balance, and miraculously I don't fall. The person--a girl--laughs and compliments me on my reflexes. Shifting around some of the boxes I'm carrying, I manage to peek through a gap to identify her as "Savannah," one of my old high school crushes. Delightedly, I say hi, and we chat for a bit on our way out the door.

Once outside, I remember my viola, and I decide I should hurry to see if it's still there. I start speedwalking down the street. Savannah thinks it's a race, and she rushes past me. Soon we're all running. I notice that I'm only carrying a couple shopping bags, while Charlie's arms are overloaded with boxes. I feel a bit bad for abusing his helpfulness so much. But there's no time to worry about that now. We run around a few street corners and past an empty lot piled high with dirt (at which point I cut a corner and pass Savannah, woot!) before reaching the street where I left my viola. It's not there. I feel a jolt of despair and anger before turning around to see that it's been moved to the top of a short staircase across the street. My mom left a note on the case. She says something about a whistle and warns me to be more careful about my viola. I still don't see how I could have done it any more safely, though, unless maybe by bringing out my viola last, rather than first. Hmmm. I guess that would've been smarter.

    2. Pissed the bed...

      by , 06-10-2012 at 01:02 PM

Last night, I remember nothing. I don't just mean dreams, I mean my general night
I went out with my mates in the woods like antisocial teenagers and we had a lovely bonfired with some beers, was great! Anyway I got really drunk on Scrumpy Jacks and made my way home at about 1am and passed out in my bed. Next thing I know, I wake up in the middle of the night to wetness and nasty smells. Yeh, I pissed the bed. WORST THING that could have happened. I flipped the mattress and would have washed the sheets but was scared of my mum finding out but she hasn't noticed, so I'll just have to put up with a urinated bed for a couple of days

    3. My common themes: work, food and travel

      by , 06-01-2012 at 04:24 AM
      1. I was at work, and one of my patients was having problems and had come in for some testing. He was first in line which a lot of people behind him. In the meantime, I was running the test on Dr. D. C, an echo tech, had another patient on the table next to Dr. D, and she was showing me how to hook someone up. It was similar to doing an EKG but more complicated with extra leads. I had to attach both an orange lead and a blue lead at each location. The blue leads were shaped like monkeys. Part of the test was to see if the patient developed a certain taste in his mouth.

      2. My husband was leaving for work and taking the minivan, which was parked across the street. I had to take the kids somewhere, but I hadn't driven in awhile and had to find where I had parked the other car. [This situation should have tipped me off since we always keep the cars in the garage & I drive daily] I thought I saw the car parked down the street so I sent the kids to check it out. While they did that, I went inside to grab a snack. I looked in my nightstand, but it mainly contained food I don't like: packaged cookies, canned asparagus and tubes of herb paste. I found one tiny packet of airplane peanuts. My bedroom looked right but the house itself was a small bungelow unlike any place I have lived. The neighborhood had small older homes with no garages. Then my coworker, L, and her husband gave me a ride in their van. We talked about sleeping in the back of the van. They had a mattress back there because L's husband works out of town and travels back & forth a lot.

      3. My husband, T, Mom & I were in Toronto staying at a nice hotel. We were in the lobby and I saw someone that I had met at an investigator mtg last year in Montreal. He was standing by the pool table talking about how much he likes to travel on business, but he had mixed feelings about his next trip since he always drinks too much. So of course we all hung out at the bar and I introduced him to T & Mom. He said that we should all come back to Toronto in a few months and meet him there, and Mom said she was already planning another Toronto trip anyway.
    4. Drunken Dreaming?

      by , 05-03-2012 at 12:02 AM
So, last night I had my first ever lucid dream. While I did not anything I wanted to do (not for lack of trying) it was still a pretty trippy experience.

Before I went to bed I had gotten drunk (buzzed, not smashed, but still drunk), and I'm not sure if that actually helped my lucidity, or if it hindered gaining control, or maybe a little of both.
Yesterday was my last day as a sophomore in college, and today was my first day of summer vacation. So, I went to a party last night. I turned 21 five months ago, although including last night I've only been drunk three times in my life.

I also had a job interview at 1 this afternoon. Well, in my dream I "woke up" to discover I had overslept - it was 2 in the afternoon. I start stressing, wondering how I slept through the multiple alarms I had set, which should have had me out of bed no later than 10. I then glance at my clock again, and it's 10:15. Using this to clue me in to the fact I was dreaming, I gain lucidity and attempt to exert some control (and, I'd be a liar if my first attempt at control wasn't to wish a hot celebrity into my bed.. heh). Instead though, everything started spinning and blurring and falling apart, at which point I wake up.

    5. Fragmented excerpts!

      by , 04-15-2012 at 08:39 PM
Due to alcohol, I only gained some fragments, again impressionist in nature...sometimes I feel like Monet is in my head!
      Fragment 1
On a coach with a large number of people I know, drinking...surprisingly! The weather was hot, almost like it was a holiday transfer coach! However, far from being at ease. Person 1 proceded to cause me unease through repeated laughing. I couldn't entirely remember why although it probably eminates from a socially awkward situation that had occured the previous day. Again, as a repeated motif for me colours and clothes were particulary visible.
      Fragment 2
Being somewhat aware that I was on the Titanic, although not worried. This is perhaps due to the coverage of the diaster in the media at the moment-suddenly however, I had a somewhat false awakening but dreaming that I 'loved' my friend!

That's all I got but looking forward to some more dreaming later!
    6. Something New

      by , 04-13-2012 at 09:45 PM
This was first dream I can actually remember that I've had in days, likely due to all the weed brownies. The day leading up to this dream I ate a brownie and a half (I think?) and smoked some in the morning, but then in the evening was only drinking. That's probably why this dream was... the way it is.

      Something New [Non-Lucid]

I was watching something, I have a vague feeling of it being South Park. There was also some talk about The Beatles going on, but just in the background somewhere. Whatever I was watching, it grew and took over my entire perspective, and I shifted into third-person. I was panning my view left over a wall, and everything started taking on deep hues of neon red with twists of golds and purples and some other colors to a lesser extent, and the world started flattening and becoming somewhat cartoonish in an ancient hieroglyphics type of way. Patterns were being drawn and morphing around on the wall, and eventually the wall opened up to reveal an enormous panoramic view of some house from the point of view of what appeared to be one of the living room corners. This created a very bizarre feel to the whole scene, it was simultaneously flat and curved. The panning stops when there's a door to another room directly in front of me. A woman walks through the door and the scenery around her starts rapidly shifting and morphing into various patterns in a sort of rapid-fire flow, and her appearance is frequently changing as well, and she occasionally phases through other objects in her surrounding. The background has taken on sort of a salvia-esque spin and the woman seems to be made of some strangely stacked cardboard-cut-out-like building blocks.... It's really hard to describe, but I saw people that looked to be made out of the same material a long time ago when I mixed diphenhydramine with psilocybin mushrooms. The whole environment is becoming incredibly unstable, and suddenly the scene ends.

False Awakening - I'm driving down the service road of a highway in one of my old cars, and I just look around and for a moment think that that bizarre scene was something I was just thinking about, but then I remember how vividly I experienced it and it occurs to me that I must have been dreaming and now I'm awake. I tried typing up the dream, but then became concerned about the fact that I was apparently sleeping while driving.

False Awakening - I wake up again, still in the car. Now I'm getting really concerned that I'm actually driving while asleep but I can't force myself to wake up. I still take time to try to type up my dream in my phone, but the time is really messing with me. It looks really wonky at first and then keeps changing around randomly. Of course, it doesn't tip me off to anything.

False Awakening - This time I woke up in M's apartment, where I actually did spend the night after we finished drinking. Her big dog gets up and climbs on top of me in a really uncomfortable way and won't get off. I'm again trying to reach my phone to log the dream, but am unsuccessful.

False Awakening - Once again, I woke up in M's apartment. She's already awake and tells me that she's late for work, she has to go "feed the whale". I get up too and tell her I need to go soon, so I probably won't be there when she gets back. After that, I woke up for real, and almost completely forgot the actual dream.

Dream Fragment - This one I don't remember much of, but there was a big texting conversation going on between me, Linkzelda, M, M's boyfriend, N, M's previous boyfriend, and C. (Maybe some other people, too?) It's hard to remember now, but I'm pretty sure I saw part of this dream through my own perspective, part through M's perspective, and part in third-person. The only visual I can really remember now was that M's previous boyfriend was at his house wearing one of those cone-shaped birthday hats and there were balloons tied to a chair behind him.
    7. The haunted power chair of evil

      by , 04-13-2012 at 02:05 AM
I lay in my bed slumbering beneath the covers as the surface I lay on begins to slide beneath me. I enjoy the sensation of being dragged across the the enjoyable texture that is my bed. Wait, being dragged!? I attempt to move but find my self limp. I struggle free of my paralysis an break out of my covers. I now stand at the top landing of my staircase. Strange how would I have been dragged out off my bead and through the hall, not to mention the 4 steps to the landing. But whats this, the covers have been pulled down the stairs. A trail to my dragger! Yes, at the end of the trail tugging on a sheet is a.... shoe? It looks like its trying to pull on the sheet anyway. Wait no, its a motorized wheelchair!!! Yes, their at the bottom of the steps. Pulling the covers even now! I make my way to the now fleeing chair and put it in its proper place. Upside down! Wont be rolling anywhere now! How strange that it was a motorized wheelchair that pulled me. Maybe its haunted. I'll test this by putting my hand close to the wheel. Hay, it rolls its tire at me! I'll try the other tire. Yep, rolling at me again. Must be haunted, wait no that doesn't make since. None of that made any since. I must be dreaming. Cool, time to have some fun. Hay I'm next to the kitchen. Theirs all kinds of things I can test and see how they work here in dream world. Damn!!! My dream is already begging to dissolve. I see some grand marnier (Orange liquor). I wonder if some nice booze would help stabilize my dream . Damn!!! I've gone all 3rd person! How can I get to the booze if I'm just a spectator. Wait, theirs some Indian guy. Maybe he can drink the grand marnier for me? Yes go for it random Indian guy! Nooooooooooo! It's to late!

      And then I wake up.
    8. The End of the End of the World, brought to you by Trees.

by , 04-07-2012 at 02:25 PM (Adventures in Dreamland)
My friends and I are walking through a college skyscraper. We're trying to find the pool for some reason. We get to the roof and there is a person who says something to us and then his hair turns into wings and he flies away. It switches to more of a movie about two brothers, seems like a comedy. Their father makes them go to the same roof, and they grab a rope hanging from a helicopter. The helicopter starts to fly off so they're left hanging by the rope, flying through the air. I was thinking "Man, that's so unrealistic. There's no way they'd be able to hold on to that." The rope breaks and one of the brothers starts to fall, but the other one tries to catch him. He starts swinging back and forth, trying to catch his (ridiculously long) ponytail.

      ---

There's this cute girl that I did my interview with when I applied at WalMart. In the dream, we started dating but she got upset because she found furry stuff on the internet via my computer (Which is funny, because she's a furry.) All I remember is just trying to find her so we could talk it out.

      ---

It's the end of the world, and my people are slowly starting to die off. The planet has been swept by a disease that seems incurable. We've tried every medicine that we could think of, even creating new ones in our labs. The only survivors are members of my family.

But there was one thing that we didn't try.

I don't remember how I found her, but I was amazed at what I saw. A tree in the middle of the forest, with her bark wrapped around a person as they slept. No, not sleeping. In a sort of meditative state, maybe? I just stood there and stared at her, and she spoke to me. I felt an unexplainable bond with this tree, like she was a daughter to me. She told me that the person had been inflicted with the disease and that they came to her for help. She wrapped her bark around them and helped them, curing them of the disease.

I went to my family, telling them of my discovery. My grandmother was very interested in the tree, as well as some other members of my family that I didn't really know that well. My daughter, however, was getting upset with how much time I spent with the tree.

Skip forward a bit; my daughter caught the disease. I told her to go to the tree to cure herself, but she wouldn't listen. I continued to beg her, but one day, she was gone.

      Help me, father.

I'm in a space station. A voice echoes through my head and I run as fast as I can, trying to keep myself from crying so that I can see.

      Help me.

I'm running through the aisles of what looks like a supermarket, looking for my daughter. Suddenly, I realize that the voice in my head isn't my daughter's. It's the tree's. I continue to run, looking for my daughter. She comes first. I didn't want her to think that I loved the tree more.

I find my daughter leaning against the ends of one of the aisles, maybe crying. She's sick. Really sick. I hug her and tell her that I love her, and that everything will be okay.

I find the tree. She is in the space station, replanted here. She doesn't seem to mind, but then why was she calling for help?

No, she didn't need help. She was leading me to my daughter.

I convince my daughter to let the tree help her. She refuses to let the tree wrap the bark around her, but she just sleeps while leaning against her. I think it works. I think she's been cured.

(This dream, although there was a dream between it and when I woke up, and although I'm posting this about an hour after I woke up, still hurts my heart. I won't be forgetting this feeling anytime soon. Is this the feeling of fear a father gets when he thinks he's going to lose his daughter? If so, I pray for all of the fathers out there who have felt this way.)

      ---

My friends and I are playing a racing game, something about fire and how someone was drinking alcohol so they exploded or something.
    9. My New Bathing Suit, Fading Phone, Lucidly Non-Lucid Bad Trip

      by , 04-04-2012 at 12:29 AM
This was from my first night in Las Vegas, I fell asleep after finishing a bottle of champagne.

      #1 - My New Bathing Suit [Non-Lucid]

This one was kind of odd, more like a visualization-induced non-lucid. At first I was just drifting off in bed, and I was thinking about walking around the hotel pool. We'd stayed there before so I know the area pretty well. In my imagination I was walking around in something like this, but like all black:

At first I was just sort of wishing I had that kind of bathing suit, but as I got more and more tired the scene started to expand and suddenly I actually was walking around the pool in that suit. I wasn't lucid though, so I didn't really appreciate it. I remember thinking that I was supposed to be meeting up with some friends of mine, some random female DCs who were busy changing into their suits, but I got distracted by a food stand by the pool. I tried to get a hot dog, but they were out. :C I saw my dad lounging by the side of the pool and went over to him and asked him why there were no hot dogs, and he said that they ran out of meat. He got up and started walking off with me and I started complaining about the situation to him, but I don't remember much after that. I think I woke up not long afterward.

      #2 - Fading Phone [Non-Lucid]

I had taken a bunch of downer drugs, and I specifically remember that Ativan and Xanax were two of them. I was partying all night, and I woke up the next morning while it was still dark outside. My dad was there and he asked me if I had gone anywhere while I was on the drugs, and I said no but joked that I couldn't be sure because I had blacked out. He looked concerned, and I layed down on the living room floor only for it to suddenly morph into the hotel room bed. Without changing position, I reached over to grab my phone and start typing up my dream. Suddenly, my dad gets up and walks over to my bed and is acting all emotional (I can't remember exactly what that means, but that's what I wrote down) My sheets are pulled up over my head by an unseen force, then my dad grabs my hands through the sheets. I'm overcome with a fear, and suddenly I realize this isn't happening. It's a very odd sensation to describe, it's kind of like... you're staring at the ceiling the whole time, and you're just really confused about what's going on, but it doesn't change the fact that you were just staring at the ceiling, it's just that you don't really understand it at first, so much that you think all this other stuff is happening, but then when you finally do, it still feels like that's all you were ever doing. Anyway.... I grab my phone again and start typing but it suddenly phases out of my hands, and I try a couple more times but it never works, so I give up. I have the actual feeling of being stuck, which is rare for me even in sleep paralysis, but I manage to shift my line of sight to the left. There's a faint light visible from something in the room, and as I stare at it it starts moving closer and growing and creating strange alien symbols, and I'm filled with a fear again, but then suddenly I snap out of it and am fully awake.

      #3 - Lucidly Non-Lucid Bad Trip [Non-Lucid]

This was a terrible dream. :T I took Benadryl, or diphenhydramine, at a hallucinogenic dose. For those of you who don't know what that's like, basically it's sort of similar to non-lucid dreaming, only even more schizophrenically psychotic, and layered over waking reality at the same time. Actually, it can be sort of like the way I described the sleep paralysis, everything is just so unbelievably confusing that even though you're interacting with reality, you just interpret it allllll wrong. And so that was reproduced, accurately I might add, in the dream. And diphenhydramine is an unbelievably terrible experience, not to mention I know how bad it is for you and already had to overcome an addiction to it, so this was a nightmare. The worst part about this experience was that I believed I was in this dream-like trip, so I was paying extremely close attention to the dreamy nature of everything that was happening, and yet no matter how odd it was it couldn't tip me off to the fact that I was dreaming because it fit the scenario perfectly. My mindset was basically like being lucid of the fact that I was non-lucid, and it pushed my dream insanity to a whole new level. I was at my aunt and uncle's house and even my family members over there were becoming extremely confused at the bizarre and unexplainable things I was doing. Yes, I was so non-lucid that the DCs were confused. I can't remember much of the actual plot, though.

      -----

This dream was from the second night we were there, and I fell asleep after more drinking and taking some Soma (carisoprodol).

Dream Fragment - I took a large dose of methoxetamine, which I've never taken in waking life, and ended up tripping out. I was in a classroom somewhere and someone was giving me a foot massage, and because of the drug it felt like my toes were floating off of their original spots and randomly switching places, which made me feel warm and giggly at the time. That's about all I can remember, though.
    10. S2: ep1 [NONLUCID]

      by , 03-03-2012 at 06:38 PM
      Sketch2 is my new journal.

Anyways, the dream was fragmented, and I'm writing this three hours after it happened.

I remember two main events; getting my bowl, and getting drunk.

I'll start with the second event, because I'm forgetting it fast.

I don't ever drink. Alcohol has never agreed with me, but in the dream I was playing a game where I had to drink certain amounts of alcohol to pass to the next level, where the amount was even greater. I remember getting past 15, 40, 45, 50, 150, 445, so on. I don't know what the number represent, but I remember that if you lost, the whole board got bigger. ie. that 445 started out as like 145 before I kept losing. I don't remember how you lost, but it was probably just defocusing. Anyways, I remember finally beating the game and feeling infinite copies of the world in my head. It was like I was lagging in real life, I felt myself duplicating and falling behind, it sucked. Getting drunk sucks.

Before this though, I got my bowl in the mail. I ordered a bowl online to smoke legal herbs (salvia) and I paid quite a hefty amount. I am still waiting for it, too.

Anyways, in the dream I opened the package and pulled it out, and it was only like 2" long. I was pissed, but I noticed it had a bunch of resin, so I took some hits, and that was nice. I didn't really get high obviously, but it was a nice feeling.
    11. A Crazy Night, The Patrick Effect

      by , 02-27-2012 at 04:46 PM
Well, I went to bed last night fairly drunk from red wine and having taken a few small hits of JWH-250. I'm sure this had some effect on my dreams but it's hard to say, though there was something pretty interesting at the end of the night!

Fragment - I remember being in some hotel filled with water and a manatee swimming around, and you had to get to some other private room above the main one I was in by climbing along a ledge on wall, but that was also where the manatee mates and it gets mad at you for being up there so it tries to attack you while you're doing it. I also remember that when I reached the room there were voices of Family Guy characters saying really random stuff. I also recall hearing the phrase "twelve year olds without sex".

Fragment - I just remember being in a chat room with Seroquel and OldSparta.

Fragment - I'm looking after some guy (perhaps handicapped? he seemed incredibly child-like) and trying to be buddies with him, I was showing him some anime movies which weren't real but looked pretty interesting. The only other thing I remember is that the TV had two separate volume systems that you had to make work together to control the sound. >.>

      #1 - A Crazy Night [Non-Lucid]

This occurred almost immediately after the last fragment, I was awake for probably a second or two. I was walking through a store with O and talking to him about getting drunk and losing my clothes and how I'd probably never find them, and O says "Yeah, I think the neighbors saw you." During this this one guy I knew in high school came by and asked us if we worked there but we said no, so he walked off.

      #2 - The Patrick Effect [Non-Lucid]

I was in my dad's car with my family (but my mom was driving) and we were driving down what I perceived as our alleyway, but it was actually nothing like it, it was like a dirt road with bright green grass hills on each side and a bunch of little shacks with cars parked all around them, and no fences of any kind. The car breaks down when we pull off to the side, and we stand outside with a bunch of other people for a minute, then it jumps forward to that night at my house and we're having a huge party. I think the party is centered around me somehow, actually. I get tired of being in the den and kitchen where most of the commotion is, so I go into the living room to hang out with O, a random girl I don't know, and another DC that frequently changes throughout the rest of the dream. We started talking about music, and I'm trying to tell the random DC about one song that's really good but I couldn't remember what it was called, but the girl reminded me. (It's "Layla", though in the dream I thought of it as "Leila". )

I went out to the kitchen and den again to see everyone had gone outside so I wasn't too worried about playing loud music, and I tried to put it on by going to YouTube and typing it in, but instead I found... the most amazing thing I've ever seen in a dream. On the screen were characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, with an especially large focus on Patrick (and I think maybe Squidward). They were all quickly jumping all around the screen (mostly one character at a time, though) and ranging from really close to really far away and performing very random movements and actions, and muttering things that were definitely in their voices but completely inaudible, it was like total delirium. While they were doing these things, the entire screen was engulfed in gear-patterned-type kaleidoscopes of sky blue light distortions and tendrils that pulsed heavily and emanated from a blindingly bright white vortex in the center of the screen. The characters and background scenery were dragged along with and twisted and bent by these distortions, and overall the scene was just like some unbelievably massive acid trip. Staring at it for too long caused a grid of Pokémon to form in my vision, and I looked away to see everyone else in the room staring at it in awe. My dad had also come into the room and sat down at the table and was marveling at it. I looked back at it and just stared some more because I couldn't bring myself to look away, it was so beautiful. The Pokémon grid thing started happening again, and suddenly I realized that I was shirtless. I went into my room to put something on, and started thinking about how I was going to spend countless hours watching the screen and seeing how far I can dive into my mind with it, but then I woke up.

I am now officially dubbing this "The Patrick Effect" and making it one of my lucid goals to recreate this effect in a dream. I never expected my mind to create such a powerfully accurate psychedelic effect in my dreams, I must use this subconscious ability as much as possible!
    12. New Emoticons, Mario And Yoshi

      by , 02-18-2012 at 08:47 PM
My dreams from this night were kind of hazy, I went to bed mildly hungover and still have a bit of a headache. -.- But I did manage to get something down.

      #1 - New Emoticons [Non-Lucid]

I was talking to FancyRat, who had apparently just become rich and famous for some reason I can't remember, with Facebook messages but still using DV emoticons. There were a lot of really strange emoticons on the list and I was distressed because they had removed the panic one. But I did find one that whenever you looked at it it made your screen get sucked through some crazy psychedelic tunnel with dragons flying around. Meanwhile, I was at a restaurant with my dad (I had my laptop with me) and we had some snooty butler guy as our waiter, and he asks if we want an appetizer or anything and my dad starts telling him about how we HATE appetizers so we never get any and how could he even ask that... to which I'm just like what the hell? Let's at least get some chips or something. >.> After that I woke up.

      #2 - Mario And Yoshi [Non-Lucid]

It starts out with me watching K play a Mario game where there was a side story which was like a copy of Luigi's Mansion, so I was telling him how to get to that. Skip forward, I go back to high school for some reason to play an online Yoshi game with D in the lunch area and and up seeing a bunch of annoying people but also this guy E who was a grade below me and pretty fun to hang out with. I don't remember much about the game, except that nothing we were trying to do was working correctly but we kept unlocking a bunch of random Yoshi colors anyway. After that I get complemented on my game skills by Dianeva who's in a chat room and logged into the game in a way that just lets you watch other people play. That's it for that.
    13. Alternate Path, A Series Of Random Events, The Jungle Of The Mind

      by , 02-04-2012 at 06:01 PM
So when I went to bed last night I was still pretty drunk from doing shots of tequila, which is probably what led into the first dream lol. Other than that nothing too amazing, but some interesting hypnagogia in the morning.

      #1 - Alternate Path

All I really remember about this dream was that instead of deciding to go to bed I had opted to stay up and keep posting on DV and doing shots of tequila. I recall complaining about how bad the hangover is going to be and people telling me I should go to bed but I didn't listen lol. Of course, when I woke up I was relieved.

      #2 - A Series Of Random Events

This one's kind of hard to remember too, but I do remember walking through several very large and very impressive landscapes. It's all kind of in snippits, but first I was walking down some large hill in a very cool looking building complex with O, and we were talking about doing coke and Adderall and a couple other things and then started complaining about how it'd be too much speed. Next I'm with an old friend, C, and we're walking through some amazingly huge mall with crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and a kind of royal orange ambient lighting, I'm not totally sure why we were there but it was a really intense design! Lastly, I was back with someone else in my house and we were playing hide and seek, and I tried to hide under a couch. I lifted it up and let it fall back on me, pretty sure it wouldn't be noticable even though there was really only like an inch of free space under the couch. I couldn't really get it to look as nonchalant as I wanted it to before I woke up.

#3 - The Jungle Of The Mind

This is something that almost happened to me that tends to occur every now and then when I get really drunk (and it used to occasionally when I would smoke weed) where I would get kind of lost in thought in bed and start to get delirious to the point of entering a full dream, so it was kind of like WILD but really more just... WID. It started with hypnagogia about plants and some windy sounds, and then I was walking through some kind of forest or jungle on a path that had been clearly followed before because there were lots of plants flattened on it. At one point I saw a large (maybe like half a foot tall and a foot wide) bug crawling in the distance (thankfully not near me! ) that was golden with blue patches and very luminescent. :O Now, if this had happened to me a while back when it was more frequent, I would have thought something was up here. One bug crawling across my vision is a delirium sign for me, but I didn't catch it this time. I almost got sucked fully into this dream, but then I kind of twitched and it snapped me out of it. Oh well. I also remember that Smash Mouth's "Walkin' On The Sun" was playing in the background of the forest.

Naomi and friends ask at playground to the right "Are you hard?" I respond at the door, "yeah." They come running at me naked, and they're all over me on the bed (bed had special sheets).

Later, Naomi and I play video games with each other. Naomi has a gorgeous body, but I forgot what the rest of her looks like - maybe Tara Reid?

Explaining to Jaime while drawing it on concrete, how the layout of the building was that Jon tried to jump off of the stairway but didn't. It was similar to Brotman?

At beach and we were throwing sand balls at the people that were going into the ocean. After they were all in (like zombies). Angel and I tried to find Jean to throw a sand ball at her. But first before we found her, I had to go get logger from the Am Pm over on Springdale. But I couldn't cause I was only 20, but he said he couldn't hold the alcohol, but e could hold the smirnoff ice.

    15. Japan, Fish and Budweiser

      by , 10-07-2011 at 09:01 AM
Pretty poor recall last night. I'm gonna start waking up in the middle of the night briefly to gather my dreams, as I seem to get my best recall that way.

      1) My Dad and his mate went on a week holiday to Japan. I was really jealous of my Dad as I knew I'd appreciate the Japanese culture more than he would. Me and 2 female friends who I cannot recall her chilling on the side of my bed closest to my door. We were talking about 'pussy', I believe XD But in a jokey, toilet-humour way - not flirtatious. I knew it would be fine as I didn't think my dad would be coming home until about 4am. It was probably about 12am, and it was pitch black in my room.

Possibly the next morning, I was talking to my Dad. He said that he came home early and had been hearing everything. Initially I as embarrassed, but it didn't really bother me eventually. I asked him how Japan was - he said it was pretty good, but wasn't talking about it much. I kept questioning him about landmarks such as Fuji - he saw mount Fuji, and was amazed at how wide and perfectly diagonal it is. I agreed.

      2) Me and my friends were sat at a long, narrow, oval shaped dinner table. We were all sat around it having a fish based meal. I think the occasion was a friend's birthday, but I really can't remember much. It was dark in the dining room, but candles lit the dining area. I think I was drinking Budweiser with my meal. We eventually decided to leave the table and chill in a room to the left of me. I think it was like a conservatory, and we were going to have more drinks in there.
