1. Over the Past Couple Days

by , 04-14-2014 at 02:39 PM
4/14/2014
9:12 AM

Over the past few days I’ve been having a number of lucid dreams.
Friday:
I went to bed at around 4 PM. I started having a normal dream, but after a while I realized that I was dreaming and decided that I wanted to wake of. I sat up in my bed and did a nose reality check which passed. I thought “I’m dreaming! I can do anything I want to now.” I felt dizzy and woke up immediately after.
Saturday:
I fell asleep at 11:00 PM. I had a bunch of LD fragments that night.
In the first, “I woke up” and thought, “If I were dreaming, I could float right now.” I floated, but, being the fail I am turned upside down while floating! Lol. I then woke up or went into my next dream (I don’t really remember the transition for any of these.) In the second, I floated again. I went up a little high, fell fast, but at the very end I fell slowly. In my third dream, I was typing something into my computer (a google search to be exact) but the letters kept getting mixed up. That’s how I knew I was dreaming, and woke up right after. Note that for all three of these I was in my bedroom at night and I felt dizzy. I also have a memory of opening my closet and trying to get to a beach, but I’m not sure which fragment it was from.
Sunday:
I went to bed a little past midnight. I started dreaming in my kitchen. My mother had woken me up to do something, and a man we knew was sitting in the kitchen, along with my dad. I looked at the clock on our stove and noticed that the time said 2:12 AM. I thought “Wow, I had no idea I woke up so early.” I glanced at the cable box for our kitchen T.V and saw that the time was different. I thought this was odd, so I looked back at the stove and sure enough, the time was messed up. I felt myself getting dizzy again, and knowing that this meant I would wake up I stopped moving and let the feeling pass. (I read guides on dream stabilization; which helped a lot. I then went to my back door (in the kitchen) and thought “I want a beach”. A beach popped up when I opened it. The water wasn’t clear, so I commanded it to be clear. It then turned into this gorgeous see-through tropical water (it reverted to unclear shortly after). I could feel the sun on me. I saw that some of my friends were there, but I wanted to be alone on the beach. My best friend then called out that she was drowning, so I thought “anyone who is drowning will be pushed to shore by the next wave.” I’m pretty sure it worked, but after that I lost lucidity.
2. Clocks and Castles

by , 11-20-2013 at 01:56 PM (HunterX's Dream Journal)
I am carrying a broken grandfather clock around the local town centre (albeit slightly distorted as my dreams tend to do with familiar locations), looking for clockmakers to repair it. The first one I find is closed, and the second one may or may not have been able to fix it. At no point was I at all concerned with how much it would cost to have the clock fixed.

The dream shifts, and I am visiting a castle with at least one friend. The castle has a large (at least the same width as the castle), flat, square-shaped moat surrounding it that is typically empty so that people can walk across it, but can be filled in times of danger. At present the castle is under attack, and the local army has been sent out onto the moat's surface to deal with the invaders. Someone of authority (possibly the king, possibly one of his advisors) deems the battle to be lost and decides to flood the moat, but the princess expressed concern that this would drown their own army. I venture underground into the tunnels beneath the castle, and come across the control system for the moat - a pair of large sluice gates, one which draws water from a river into the moat and one which drains it. The first gate is open and the moat is partially filled, but the progress is slow. As I head over to the control system for the second gate another group from the castle arrives, including the princess and an advisor who looks like Loki from Thor. Apparently whoever decided to flood the moat should not have done so, and the princess and I raise a stone slab from a slot in the floor which opens the second gate and drops the water, then I jump across some platforms to reach and close the first gate. The moat progressively drains (and some large stone mechanism shifts into place as it does so) and Loki-advisor refers to me as "misinformer" as it finishes - I'm not sure why, but given it's Loki it may well be a compliment of some sort. I am hailed as a hero and my friend (who now looks like Samwell Tarley from Game of Thrones) reminds me that we still need transport to our next location, presumably implying that I should request it from the castle now that I am in their favour. The dream shifts before the scene can continue.

I am entering some kind of cross between my flat kitchen and secondary school science lab to make my dinner, but the room has been commandeered for a film event of some sort. I speak to the guy setting up the event, explaining that it would take me only 15 minutes to cook my food and another 30 to eat it and clean up, but he refuses to let me make my dinner. Some of the conversation is garbled, but I make the assumption that since it is currently 11pm it is not likely the event will be over in time for me to make my dinner that night.

I am then woken up by a knock on the door.
3. The Journey Mural

by , 11-12-2013 at 10:53 PM
Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

Lucid #161: The Journey Mural

I'm walking around in the kitchen with Wife, carrying a baby girl and lamenting the fact that my previous lucid dream was too short. I look over to see that the microwave timer is counting down from 59. "A short lucid dream is better than nothing, isn't it?" asks Wife.

I figure she's right. I look back at the timer again and notice that it's now counting 2... 1... and then blanks out completely. I realize that everything about this is odd and
I become lucid.

The baby girl has vanished and I no longer hear Wife saying anything. I guess they've both left the scene. I move toward the closest exit (the back door) but it looks oppressively dark in that direction. The dream is not feeling stable to me and I don't feel like my cognitive abilities are all there.

I turn back toward the living room, slowly moving past the dining room table, through the living room toward the front door. The darkness presses down on me the entire time, and I feel like I'm slowing down.

I suddenly notice that I'm having trouble breathing. I try again and can't manage more than a few gasps. The whole experience is starting to make me nervous, and I start wondering if I just need to make the dream more vivid to make these problems go away.

A picture on the wall catches my eye. In waking life, it's a stylized world map. But in this dream, it looks more like some kind of abstract mural, similar to the artwork you find in the video game Journey. There are 3 or 4 robed figures at the bottom of what looks like a multi-story building.

As I approach the painting, I see the robed figures stir just a bit as if they're alive. I'm still not breathing, but I hope that if I can somehow just change the scene everything will be okay. I rub my hands together for a moment and then reach for the painting, intending to dive into it. The robed figures stir to greater activity, the painting becoming a larger and larger part of my vision... but
the dream ends.

4. 7/15/13 - Mall samples/psychiatrist

by , 07-16-2013 at 12:31 AM (Leaving the matrix)
I'm in a mall in front of an elevator, I see a woman exit the elevator, she works their I think she is security or something, I want to go the the third floor that I think is employees only because I think there is free stuff up there, so I get into the elevator and hit the third level button. When the doors open I see it is full of customers and workers spraying perfume on them trying to get them to buy it, I realize I was wrong and that either they don't have a secret floor, or that the secret floor is floor 4 or maybe the basement, but I walk in the floor anyways, I go through all the people, a big tall girl stops me and tells me to go with her, I think she wants to show me perfume, I go with her, she sprays me with perfume, but then suddenly we are sitting at her desk and she turned into a small guy, he is giving me a psychiatry session, but he's telling me stuff he shouldn't know so I pull my hand away from him and almost run but for some reason I sit down again and the guy has turned into a different girl, she tells me that my hand writing is exactly like my dads and she shows me and says it's wrong, I'll turn out like him and that you can't use that many capitols. I start looking at this clock on the wall trying to figure out how long I've been sitting there, but I can't add it up, and the girl is trying to distract me from it because she wants to keep wasting my time..
5. From examining shrubberies to flying.

by , 06-25-2013 at 12:56 PM
I don’t really remember how the dream started out since it was such a long dream. What I do remember is that in the beginning of the dream we had to make a task for mathematics as homework.
Me and my other classmates are looking out of a window at a shrubbery. The shrubbery had something to do with the exercises we had to make by tomorrow. I made my notes about the shrubbery and attempted to make the exercise. The exercise wasn't too hard so I completed it in a reasonable amount of time. I heard another classmate (Sam) complain about the exercise, he said he made it all wrong because he was thought the small bush on the side of the shrubbery was part of the exercise as well. “He should have looked better before he begun the exercise” I thought to myself.

At a certain point after this I realise I’m dreaming.
“I’m dreaming, so now I can fly”. I wanted to test that by jumping out of the top window of our house. At this point I am standing in front of the window and I look down through the window into the garden below. “Better be sure I’m dreaming before jumping out” I think to myself, because all of this sure looks realistic. I do the test by imagining there is a horse in our garden, I look down and sure enough all of a sudden there are two horses grazing, a brown one and a white one. I decide to take it one step further and imagine that there are now cows grazing in the garden, the horses morph into cows.
“I am dreaming for sure”. I get ready for the jump by crawling outside of the small window. Now my feet are the only thing holding me in place while my body is floating horizontally in the air with my arms down the side of my body. One of the horses, the brown one, launches towards me and when he is nearly at my height tries to bite my hands off. “That horse sure can jump high” I think to myself. He launches again but fails to reach me and falls back towards earth. I prepare myself mentally to make the jump and fly. I hope I don’t plummet towards the ground, since this is the first time trying to fly in my dreams. I push off and for a moment I’m dive-flying towards the ground, but I manage to gain control over my flight and navigate myself upwards. “I’m really doing it, I’m flying”.
I fly through the street that is positioned next to my house with my arms stretched in front of me like superman. Beneath me I see my best friend (Lieven) and his dad walking. “Hey Lieven, I’m dreaming, I can fly”. I land next to him and tell him again, “Isn't this great, I can fly.” “Ah, I wish I could do that” he said. “But you can, just do it” I replied. I’m still walking besides him and am looking at the forest besides the road (the forest that is positioned behind my garden). “Look Lieven, look at the castle that’s hidden in the forest”. I try to imagine a castle but that thought doesn't manifest itself in my dream so I just leave it alone. At this point a realize I ought to stabilize my dream, I rub my hands together and see what happens, but there is no noticeable difference in clarity so I yell “become brighter” but still no effect. Must be because the dream is already very clear I think to myself.
I leave Lieven behind and walk up the bank besides the channel. I want to fight a monster, like I read on the internet. So I imagine there being a monster on the top of the slope in climbing. And sure enough there is a giant armoured troll awaiting me. “I’ll bring him down with my guns” I think to myself. I start shooting at the beast with the gun that has now appeared inside my arms, but the gun doesn’t seem to affect him in any way. Besides me there is a bucked filled with a various array of weapons and I take another one but to no avail, so I decide just to kick the monster with my boot and that seems to do the job as the monster falls into the channel on the side of the road.
I continue walking down the road and on the left side of the road I spot a little digital clock. I walk towards it and see that it notes the amount of time I have left in this dream, which is not much according to the clock.
I just want to do one more thing before I leave, I want to have sex with Linde (a good looking girl from my class). I am now in a room by myself, “let’s try to summon Linde” I think to myself. I read that you can do that by drawing the outlines of the person you want to create in the air with your hands, but it doesn't quite work out for me and nothing happens.
At this point I think about the TOTM that I read about on Dream views. Being naked in front of an audience isn't going to work since I don’t have much time left and there is nobody here, so I should do the task where you look in the mirror. I leave the room and walk towards the bathroom. As I enter the bathroom I think to myself “I hope there aren't holes where my eyes ought to be like I read on Dream views the other day”. I bring my courage together and walk in front of the mirror. I am relieved to see that my eyes are still as they should be, in fact I look quite normal, but then I see the distortion in my refection. There is a strip of the mirror that is bend like a mirror in the mirror palace. Because of this, my head looks quite funny as I move around.

I begin to lose grip over my dream and stray into a non-lucid dream.
I tell my best friend Lieven about the wonderful lucid dream I just had, he is sort of jealous since he hasn't been able to have a lucid. “I didn't learn for my test I have from mathematics, but so what, I had an amazing dream instead.”
I wake up for real.

6. Journey up a Mountain

by , 05-19-2013 at 05:36 PM

I lived in a tribal area with a large family. I know that we lived at the foot of a huge mountain, and that we might have lived in tan-colored tents. Something was threatening us, I think it was a guy that wasn't human (dark hair, I think). My job was to go up the mountain and stop him, although I can't remember what he was doing wrong.

I remember climbing up a snowy mountainside with my servant. It was very steep, and tough to not slide. I remember catching bugs and finding plants to eat. I was constantly worried that we would starve or not be able to find shelter. We came upon an abandoned house on the mountain, had been white but was now green with mold and moss. It had a very creepy air so we kept on moving.

The mountain had this spiral 'stairway' that was constantly moving. My servant and I had reached the stairway and were staring at it as it descended below us to a point that we couldn't see. There was a digital clock with red letters above the stairway that I think said 4:20. It told us how long it'd take for us to make it to the top of the mountain if we started now. We decided to wait for a while, because we wouldn't have to walk as far if we waited until the mountain had descended a little.

We used materials that we found to make a shelter, and at this point others joined us. I remember seeing a big sheet of metal that I think we used as a roof. At one point we went and checked the clock again, but decided to wait when we saw that it still had two hours left.

Fragment: There was a radio or old TV that someone got very angry over and accused another person of stealing. I remember seeing someone carrying an armload of supplies. I was very busy.

We finally did come back down the mountain. I remember running on my hands like some animals, but going really fast. I remember seeing a tree that was growing like a huge corkscrew, but was like Jack and the Beanstalk because it was still growing. My dad met me at the bottom of the mountain. At this point I felt like I had been chasing someone, and that they had escape up the spiral tree.
7. House on fire

by , 12-11-2012 at 10:34 AM (~Cookieh's Land of Cookies~)
We were standing by the window, watching people go by.
Suddenly everyone started rushing down the spiral stairs, one of my best friends was also with me. The building was apparently on fire.
When we reached the bottom of the stairs, I realized that it's cold outside and I ran back up to get my coat :|.
By then everyone else was gone, I saw them through the window in the building right next to this one. They were all sitting by a table, it was some kind of a feast or something. I thought that it would be rude to go there late and I decided to stay in the burning house. Wut. I heard a girl scream somewhere but I didn't think much of it.
I knew that the power would be gone soon, I took my watch, it was a bit over 7 pm. The digital clock said it was 1 am, I never questioned that.
I accepted my inevitable fate and sat on the sofa with a blanket, waiting for it.

This was a scary dream .__.

I guess I'm quite afraid of fires, this certainly isn't the first nightmare about fire.

Teacher Comments

Over SSH, I open up the log file of my grading hours to find that the professor has edited it to leave me a message. I thought only I had permission to modify it. Hmmm. Oh well.

Enough

During a break in the lecture, I've been talking with a classmate about how to prove the next major proposition. He thinks he has an idea, so he tells the professor. The professor (who's only about 30 and has a carefree attitude) tells him he should go up to the board and present the proof to the class. My classmate is somewhat taken aback at this unusual request, but he obeys. Of course, he doesn't completely understand his proof (he only knew the general outlines), so a minute later he runs into a problem and his presentation stumbles to a halt. The professor steps in to say that it's a good start, and also, "That's probably enough for today. We'll finish the proof next time." I'm confused again, because we still have a few minutes left in class--plus it's weird that he ended the lecture with a rough student presentation. It seems to me that his carefree attitude doesn't lend itself well to being a good teacher.

Feral Fox

I get out of the car to see a mangy fox running around our driveway. I expect it to run away from me, but it charges! I kick at it in an attempt to avoid getting bitten. Who knows what diseases it might have. It dodges my foot and runs a few yards away, but I'm not sure if I've scared it off for good yet.

Clock Lag

I wake up and roll over in bed to check the time. I scribble some short notes in my dream journal, then check the time again to record when I woke up. To my surprise, the time seems to have jumped forward by five minutes. I check my cell phone's other two clocks. [My phone has three alarms, which in the dream I must have confused with separate timekeeping devices.] First one, then the other, ticks over from one minute to another minute five minutes later. It must be a kind of lag induced by having been in idle mode all night. Soon I wake up for real. [The actual time was about a half-hour earlier than the time in the dream.]

9. Lucid Dream

by , 11-24-2012 at 04:32 AM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
I really need to update my dream journal more often...

I remember seeing that the time on my computer was 10:12 AM. I looked over at the clock on the oven, and that said it was 6:58. I thought that perhaps the clock was wrong, so I looked back at my computer clock, which now read 7:00 PM. The oven clock had also changed to 10:12.

I remembered that clocks sometimes change in dreams, so I decided it would be best to do an RC. I counted the fingers on my right hand, but I had five fingers. I still had a feeling it was a dream, though, so I repeated the RC with my left hand. I counted six fingers (I actually skipped my thumb, so I really should have counted seven).

I knew I was dreaming but quickly woke up (I think it was a false awakening, but I can't remember).

10. LD: Using all Five Senses...and Unstable Clocks

by , 10-18-2012 at 12:35 PM
1-8-09

Lucid Dream:

I was in this room with a friend. It looked like a bank. My friend went to stand in line. I walked to the back of the room to wait. On the way I slipped and fell on the floor. I sat there for a moment, then noticed that I was starting to spin. I found this strange and just let it happen.

I then became lucid. I jumped up and flew over the line of waiting people. In the next room I tried to remember the tasks. I remembered two. One was to look at a clock. I looked around the room and saw a digital clock sitting on a cluttered shelf. It said 7:42...or was it 7:34...no, it was 7:47. I really tried to focus and stablize it, but the clock was a blur of numbers that changed everytime I tried to focus. I remembered people saying that time changed, but I hadn't realized that it was quite this unstable. I wondered why that was.

I then remembered that I needed to use my five senses. I had already been seeing and hearing things, so I decided to focus on "touch". I reached out and felt the solidness of a rail in front of me.

I then decided to find something to taste. But before I had gone anywhere I realized that I had already been eating. I had a bowl of macaroni and cheese. I could taste the cheesey flavor and feel the pieces of partly chewed noodles in my mouth.

I decided to move on to smell.

I flew around and saw Jeff. I told him that I needed to find something to smell. I couldn't see anything that would have a smell to it. I then looked at him and asked, "Have you been working out? Maybe you'll smell sweaty?" But as I leaned toward him and couldn't smell anything.

I started flying out of the building. I then saw next to the door a styrofoam container of food that somone had brought back from a restaurant. I openind it and saw leftover green peppers. I knew that they would have a smell. I put my nose right to them and took a big whiff. I could smell a very faint pepper smell. I was disappointed that my dream nose wasn't better. As I pulled my nose back I realized that my nose had touched the peppers and that the peppers had little prickly thorns on them and some of the thorns had stuck in my nose. They were painful to pull out. Jeff thought it was funny that I had let that happen, as if I should have known better than to put my nose up to peppers.

I followed Jeff into the parking lot. He got into a large white pickup truck. I started to get in too. Then I had an idea. I told him to just start driving and not to worry about what I was doing. I then rolled the window down and stood outside the truck and reached in and grabbed the handle above the window. As the truck started to move I was carried away, floating beside the truck. It was a wonderfully exhilerating feeling. I told myself that I would have to remember to try that again in future LD.

Jeff stopped the truck too soon and started talking to someone. I got back in the truck and waited. I saw a baseball glove on the seat. I ran my fingers over the soft leather, then picked it up to smell it. It had a faint leathery smell. I then started touching other parts of the car so I could say that I really did the task thoroughly.

My dream faded and I thought I had woken up. But then I forced myself to relax and drift back into the dream.

I was now in a building with Marie. There was a bad guy we were having to get away from him. We locked outselves in a bathroom. I felt quite nervous. But then I told Marie that if it got too scary then I would just let myself wake up.
And that's all I remember.
11. Fail. Non lucid

by , 10-02-2012 at 09:50 PM (Zödra)
Now this is two dreams, but they combine into one, and I wouldn't have considered it two dreams except I woke up and wrote part of it in my DJ next to my bed and then I went back to sleep.

I was with my family watching Lord of the Rings. It looked nothing like any of them, but if I had to guess I would guess it was The Two Towers, since their were wargs in it. I was watching the television, but as it always does, I kind of jump into the television. However, instead of taking control of a character like I normally do, I just watched it in third person. Not much to say about the fight, it wasn't in Middle Earth, it was actually in a neighborhood. I zoomed out of the TV and back into my parents house, I automatically knew that they were filming right outside.

I went out and started talking to a Gondorian, he was complaining about how much it hurts to put his armor on, and how much it hurts when the fake Warg bites him. They packed up and left, leaving me in a backyard, but it was the dark red of night falling. I knew I should go inside, but I didn't really think about it. It became night and a Wolf came around the corner (I do not know if it was a Werewolf, but I could have been, I was thinking about the task of this month right before I went to bed). It jumped at me and I kicked it, I snapped its teeth at my arm and I snapped my hand back, the wolf started moving in slow motion, or I just started thinking in fast motion, because I was moving way faster, I pulled my entire arm out of the way of the mouth, but I could feel the teeth with my hand as the jaws closed and barely missed. He jumped at my again and I grabbed his head and threw him away. I walked back home.

This was a pretty intense battle, and I became very vivid from this point on, and I had almost my entire brain there. Normally fighting a dog would seem weird, but my occupation for the past couple of years has led me to fight about 50 dogs without a weapon in people's back yards. I haven't been bitten yet.

I crawled in my parents doggy door and start talking to some people inside. somehow I get back outside and I try to crawl back in again, but the door is way too small, and my dad tells me not to. I get back inside on the computer. I am showing people quotes from Lord of the Rings off of IMDB
"Brandon, get off the computer." I look at the time, it reads 6:59.
"I have to leave to work at seven, so I'll be off in a minute." I reply.
"Sure you will." He says, in a knowing voice that makes me look at the clock again 7:05 it reads.
"That is weird! It said 6:59 one second ago!" I know I have to get to work, so I woke up.

When I wake up, it was 6:44. I was really mad about that, because I had 10 more minutes to sleep, and I had just done a reality check that failed! It also didn't feel like waking up normally feels like, it felt like I woke myself up.

12. Sean Connery's Hideout and Tommy Lee Jones, Penetrating Contest (SDE Day 15)

by , 08-29-2012 at 01:59 PM (Linkzelda's Dream Journal)
08.29.2012
Sean Connery's Hideout and Tommy Lee Jones (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Sean Connery and me were at a beach, and he's just wearing a dark blue beach underwear. He presses some button near some rocks, which opens up a secret door. We quickly go in and it closes, and the insides of this place consists of shades of brown.

The place was fairly small, but pretty nice for one person living here. I see Sean Connery, though I can't remember what he's wearing exactly, probably a dark brown sweater and khaki pants now instead.

He's walking around, and I'm just standing there watching him move around his hideout. I try to make conversation with him and tell him,

"You keep this place pretty clean Connery," and I also mentioned something else about the place he's hiding in, probably related to what conceals the place.

He moves around a bit some more and tells me,

"There's still some bottles on the floor."

I didn't know what to say after that, so I decided to look around the place myself. I looked at window curtains, which completely covered the windows. They had some weird colors, but most of them were dark colors, maybe some white too. I take a slight peek to see what's outside, and I see a lot of houses that are packed together.

They were long sideways but not so much in length. Most of the houses I'm looking at had bright colors like light yellow for the base and dark colors like dark borwn for the roof. The back of some houses were supported by these thick wooden structures that were deep into the ground, and some houses were even above a slight downward slope.

I look around a bit, and this place seems peaceful, and at some point in the dream I decided to go to the exit, but not open anything. It was like a big pipe entry that was cut in half. I look around the walls and floor, and one part was different from the rest. Instead of being a darker shade of brown, it looked like it had a gold-ish type of color.

Maybe that was the switch to activate the exit, beats me. I go back in, and probably did more searching around the house while Connery was busy doing something else.

The dream shifts, and apparently, someone has found out about Connery's hideout. He's out defending himself, and I'm only watching him, but I'm not part of the action at all. He's just using a pistol, dodging bullets while staying near the secret entrance that's covered up.

But the environment now changes from a beach to some kind of construction area. The secret entrance was to the left of a small sandy hill that almost went over a gray wired fence. Connery was on that slope, and barely takes any shots at people.

The dream shifts again, and I don't see Connery anymore, and I'm pointing a gun at someone, but it doesn't seem like they're going to do anything to me. I'm still being cautious because I don't know how I got inside this bus in the first place.

The inside walls and ceiling were light green, and the seats had a dark turquoise type of color, and this whole section felt so old to me. I had a feeling I ran out of ammo, so I quickly too some gun magazine and quickly slide it into the slot of the gun.

I put the magazine in the wrong way, because while I'm still holding a gun, I get an angle where I can see under me, and the magazine is clearly not inserted right.

LOOOOOOOOL.

I had to do something quick, so I pretended to act all serious again in front of these people, and quickly take out the magazine and put it in correctly this time. I aim the gun left and right at the three people near me just to make sure none of them don't pull a fast one on me.

By this time, the third person was outside of the bus near the opened window behind the driver's seat. I don't recognize her visage at all, looks like a randomly generated dream character. Most of them are wearing white dress shirts and black pants, almost like fancy pilots and flight attendants.

Then Tommy Lee Jones, a fairly old version of him, comes in out nowhere, and walks slowly towards me. While he's walking on the left side getting closer and closer, he looks at me for a little while, stops where he's at,
and after that, I forget what happens next.

Dream - Lucid

I was in my car, looking at my gas gauge. Close to empty, even though I just got gas. I pulled into the gas station. I thought about my dwindling funds.

I then remember seeing an above view of two old men sitting in chairs across from one another. One passed a magnifying glass to the other. I think they were reading with it.

Then, I remember panic, and seeing a white cat clock with the arms going haywire. Something was going on with this, some kind of torture or something. I put my hand on the arms of the clock to stop them.

~

I was trying to fall back asleep this morning after being awake for an hour or so.

I slipped into a dream, and I was concentrating on staring at my laptop screen. I thought I was still trying to fall asleep. As I concentrated on the background, I could see "behind" the current picture that's there, and there was a picture of my cat sitting in my messy room. I felt like that meant I was falling asleep. I then started to feel the SP buzz in my head, but I got to excited, and lost the sensation.

Then, I was standing on an overhang overlooking the top of a staircase. I heard a conversation between a man and a woman, the man I think was the woman's son. They were fighting. The man, who reminded me of Jake's dad and one of my old friends, Alan, said
"Well what do you think I'm doing up there all the time? Smoking?" I could feel his anger, but that's precisely what he had been doing. He was going up the stairs as he said this. I was worried he would lose his temper and someone would get hurt.
I don't remember the woman's answer, or if she even did answer.

I then looked at the wall beside the staircase, and there were these small square patches cut out with white and green cloth inside of them. I then felt like it was Austin's grandparents' house, and I knew why the wall was like that: They had been trying to fix the wall, or tile it, but they had just never gotten around to finishing the project.

Apparently I had bought a new car, I can't remember the make of the car, but what I do know is - it was blue. That's all I can remember about the car, but I also apparently bought a new house. I remember walking into the house at night, it was dark, I remember having this sense of fear. I went into the bedroom, which had candles lit all around it, which gave me some ability to see. On the side table was a photoframe. I can't remember what the photo was, or who it was. But it made me have to leave the house, because of fear, really wish I could remember who or what was in that photo. But I digress, I walked back through the house, and I notice that something really isn't right in this house. I can hear ticking, I assume it's a clock, but I can't seem to find one. I realize that the sound is coming from up stairs, I go to check it out and its coming from another bedroom. I slowly open the door, and see a shrouded figure, sitting on a rocking chair, holding a clock in his hand. The guy or women, snaps the clock in two, and continues to look out of the window. He/She hasn't noticed me, so I backtrack down the stairs, quickly leave by the front door and get into my car. I take one last look at the house, and see the guy at the window, staring at me as I drive away. I drive for a few minutes, when I start to hear that damn ticking again. I stop the car to see if anything is ticking in the car, nothing. But I can still hear the noise. I get out of the car, and look underneath it, where the guy - who is still shrouded is holding on to the bottom of the car, with a clock, the handle in his mouth as I stare at him.

15. So Close......

by , 05-06-2012 at 02:04 PM (My Dream Journal; Mentis est Infinata)
Last night, I dreamed of looking at a digital clock. It said something like 27:89. As soon as I was about to do a RC to verify, I woke up.

There wasn't a rush of excitement, or any emotion at all, and I woke up too abruptly to try and stabilize the dream. Very frustrating.

Usually, I discover that I'm entering a dream WAY too early (I wake up abruptly and remember hearing music and/or people talking), and the rush of emotion (not sure which emotion for some reason) is enough to INSTANTLY wake me up. This case was different. I was absolutely emotionless, yet I woke up as soon as I moved my dream hand (I was about to do the nose-plug RC). I didn't move my real hand, so that can't be what woke me up. I think this dream occurred merely to taunt me.
