I'm evacuating a place where True Blood's Eric and Bill had been staying; Bill's already gone, but Eric's chained to a chair, and I have no intention of freeing him. I'm going to carry him out in the chair. Despite this, I have nothing against him, and I'm asking him if he wants me to bring any of the belongings he's kept in these rooms. I'm kneeling in front of the chair as I speak to him, and I say that I may need him to carry something of Bill's in exchange, to which he consents. Aside from 2 belongings which needed no discussion, he says he doesn't need anything else. It seems a shame, the rooms are full of things he's collected over his lifetime. I pick up a sword he has on display with a hilt that looks like carved ivory or bone, and I say sure, you may not need anything else, but it's better if it can come, isn't it? I put it on the chair with him. (Woke up. Back to sleep.) Fragment: a mention of Louis, a king. I've heard about a gathering of people I'm thinking of as 'the British' tonight - there's a connotation of a specific politically subversive group in my mind - and I intend to arrange a meeting with the queen, although I'm not as close to her in this reality as I have been in past iterations; I've spent too much time focusing on other contacts this time through. I sit down beside the queen at her mirror. Her daughter, Antoinette, is here as well, standing by the window; she's beautiful but spoiled, self-centered. That's largely my fault - in other versions of this reality I'd devoted more time to her and she'd developed into a very sweet girl. This time around, we're not particularly close, and she notes only that she owes her name to me. In French, I ask the queen her plans for this evening after the party. I don't speak to her in a particularly deferential manner. She seems wary, suspicious, but I think I have enough influence with her to pull this off. (Woke up. Back to sleep.) I need to kill a giant snake, but I can't find a weapon. Finally, a woman produces a long knife and beheads the snake herself. But I tell her that it's still alive, you need to destroy the brain, otherwise beheading it is just slow death by suffocation, it's cruel. I point to its eyes, which are still moving; I tell her it's suffering. She doesn't care. It's harmless now, that's all she cared about. I can't believe this. But I do my best to put it out of its misery without a weapon, until finally its eyes stop moving and its skull is crushed. I pick up head and body and carry them outside. When I reach the door, the storyline changes - at first I was still aware I was carrying something and needed to get rid of it, but I forgot about it quickly and so the snake disappeared. I was distracted by the sight of colorful glowing orbs floating down the river, just through the trees. There's a festival going on all this week, and tonight is the children's celebration. I walk past the women handing out colored orbs for the children to light candles inside and carry down to the water, and as I walk I see a couple kids carrying their lights the wrong way, down to the sea instead of the launching place at the river. Some adults are trying to point them the right way, but the oldest kid says something about their father's ship out at sea.

A man talking about an opponent: "He had fallen on the might of (something), and he himself had fallen back and disappeared." The 'he' in question is described to me as "one of Fate's creatures," Fate being our enemy, but this guy is on a completely different level from those we've been fighting up until now. The man speaking is trying to get through to me just how serious a threat this guy is. He says this guy participated in "sanguinary" interstellar wars (that's the second time this month I've had dreams emphasize war with blood-related adjectives; seems redundant, but the dream seems to think that changes the meaning significantly), and in "civilized eras" he attached himself to prison transports, weapons transports, and managed to gain influence through this. (Woke up, back to sleep.) The queen of this country is always seen accompanied by three men attending her in robes, one red, one blue, one gold, all intricately embroidered in white, and I worked hard to become one of those men, but now that I've gained the position of the blue, I just feel chained down. Once we leave the Queen's presence, we're instructed by an aide to remove the robes, and with them the role we played. Such a role exists only in the Queen's presence, and it seems to me as if she exists in her own bubble, reality shifting with her presence or absence, so that she never touches the real world. Fragments: My roommate's watching a surreal horror movie called Repo Man starring Nic Cage and Meg Ryan. I comment that I had a dream about those two starring in a vampire movie the other night. (Which is true, I did.) I wanted to watch something else, though. Something about David Bowie and outer space. I'm saying "Where is all this going?" and in response the scene changes to show me and the people I'd been talking to sailing off into the sunset on a yacht. Trying to read a document with errors in the font. When I go to change the font, I scroll past a font called 'lucid dreaming.'

A woman who used to work with some kind of 'private security company' - which in this case appears to be a euphemism for something not entirely legal - who left that job a while ago and is now a manager at a hotel, currently talking with an old friend, a woman still working at that 'security company,' about how much faster emergency services respond when there's gunfire reported. Vague fragments involving combat, next scene I remember clearly the combat's over and that hotel manager's picking up her dog, Max, from the dog daycare service - but both dog and daycare service had been involved in that combat scene and the woman running the daycare now refuses to allow Max to come back there again. The hotel manager protests, saying that "We're doing really well," and the daycare woman hesitates over that 'we', highlighting the parallel between dog and owner here, then stresses 'he' - he, Max (and by extension his owner), may seem like he's doing well on the surface, but he has these undercurrents, things that are always going to come back to the surface eventually, and because of that she can't have him around. The friend from the 'security company' is there throughout this scene, petting Max and not saying anything. (Woke up. Back to sleep.) Fragment: "Covered in ashes, the boy king Yuuma." (Woke up. Back to sleep.) Fragment: A party at my IRL home, some people have passed out, someone suggests putting on a Terminator movie and asks whether I've seen them. I point out that the last thing I need is to see those movies again after dreaming about them for a month straight. (That's actually true, except IRL it was 2 months.) A man, a professor, is having an affair. He'd planned to meet his mistress today and finally leave his wife - but at the last minute he's realized this was all a terrible mistake, and he's confessed everything to his wife, Julia, who already knew. (Despite the name, the wife here is not the same as my recurring DC Julia.) She insists on meeting the mistress, and he agrees, taking her to the place where he and the mistress had planned to meet for lunch. As they park across the street, the mistress is just leaving the building, and he points her out to Julia. At first Julia doesn't believe him. She'd expected some silly college student, the midlife crisis cliche. The woman across the street is beautiful as a movie star, long blond hair and dressed smartly and conservatively in all black, poised and polished, everything about her indicates power. Julia suspects her husband just pointed out a pretty woman in the crowd to throw her off from meeting the real mistress, it's so unbelievable that her husband could be with this woman - but he's gotten out of the car and ducked into the woman's taxi, talking to her. He points back to his wife, and the mistress, confused, looks right through her, saying, "Where?" She saw Julia and immediately dismissed her as someone this man would be with. (Julia is thinking of herself as a plain middle-aged housewife in comparison to the mistress, but in actuality she's quite stunning herself. Short curly red hair, wrapped in a white fur coat and gold jewelry.) The professor goes back to his car and the scene switches to follow the mistress as she arrives at her destination and gets out of the taxi. The professor stops her in the parking lot - he followed her taxi. He says to her, "Maybe I slept with the body of the garden, but the meat of it hardly tasted." He means by this that throughout their affair he never really got to know anything about her beyond the surface, and that he'd like to. Nonetheless, he's going back to his wife. He doesn't like the way he's dressed, in the nice suit and white scarf he'd put on to meet his mistress, as if to keep up with her pace; he feels quite ridiculous. Rain is beading on the top of their umbrellas, but it's red, and I, disembodied observer, wonder whether that's the rain itself or a trick of the light, a reflection of something I can't see.
3rd person. Tradition dictates the pharaohs of this dynasty marry on the first day of the new year for symbolic purposes, but his intended bride is tired of waiting. She cuts her leg with a knife and lets the blood run down into the dirt, a ritual attempt to soothe the drought the land is going through with her own life; since she isn't yet royalty, this is all she can do. Her intended husband watches this and decides to break with tradition and hurry the wedding. However, there's an incident where the couple goes on a voyage with their servants and attendants, and a woman is seen waiting outside at night to meet a lover in secret - it may have been one of the servant girls, but a rumor starts that it was the intended queen. (Woke up. Back to sleep.) I'm a student in a small class of maybe 10 undergrads, taught by Mr. G., a favorite IRL high school teacher, in a room based on the chapel building at that high school. We're giving presentations, and as I go back to my seat afterwards, I manage to knock over the display that holds up the TV monitor. I catch it and try to put it back to rights while the next person is talking but fail miserably, I think I broke something. One of the other students comes to help, this short geeky guy who does something very complex with the display, and I just stand back to watch. Turns out he's really, really good with his hands, I'm kind of into it. That was unexpected. I start talking to him and he mentions that he's got some hobby that involves building things, which seems pretty cool to me since I'm pretty much useless at anything practical, but he looks like I'm making him nervous so I back off. But when the scene changes to show me back at my apartment (doesn't resemble anywhere I've lived IRL - colorful and cluttered, deep blue walls, hanging plants and vines in every corner), he's come along with me and my friends, or roommates, I don't know who these DCs are meant to be but we're close. As we walk in the door, the short/geeky/unexpectedly hot DC is saying to one of them, this blonde girl with all these little braids in her hair, "You're not on the drain, are you?" which is apparently some kind of drug. "I would never," she says, acting all offended - waking me can't tell if she's serious or not, either way dream me thinks it's funny. We came back here to get high anyway. (Woke up. Back to sleep.) I'd been flying down through the levels of some mansion and heading outside, planning my night, weighing the appeal of being alone vs being seen, but when I fly out the door, True Blood's Ginger is at the gate. She wants to come back to work at the club. She'd taken maternity leave but lost the kid, and tried to come back to the club pretty much immediately afterward, but the boss told her to take the paid time off anyway - I don't know why she's so desperate to come back, she doesn't work for tips so the money's the same. But she convinces me to let her in, and she tells me where to find the key to the gate. I go get it, but it's got some kind of trap - when I uncover the key, a dart shoots out and hits Ginger. Flashback. First time I'd met Ginger, she'd been hysterical, claiming someone, a priest, had been kidnapped by these two guys I knew well and was being held in their barn. The guys tell me the priest was there, but perfectly fine. Giving a sermon, in fact. (Woke up. Back to sleep.) 3rd person, following Julia. She's waiting by a statue at the gate to a city park, sometime around the turn of the 19th/20th century, and she works in a country estate as a maid or a nanny or a governess or something - anyway, she's just come into the city for the day. She's meant to be meeting one of the other servants there, but the woman she's meeting is late. Julia doesn't really mind, it's helped her make a decision actually. She's been thinking about how much fun she had on an earlier outing with me, just watching (??? something involving birds, seemed like a very ordinary everyday event for most people but something she hadn't done before), and thinking about the drab grey dress she's wearing, and always wears, covering her ankles, and generally thinking about taking chances and breaking out of her shell and so on. She stops waiting for her friend and, thinking about how much she's got to do and counting up how much money she has with her, she first goes to buy postage and mail a letter she'd already written but hadn't decided whether or not to send until now. Her thoughts about money derail the storyline - a guy at the door of a restaurant convinces her to step inside and she finds unexpected fees piling up on her. (Woke up. Back to sleep.) Just a fragment of dialogue (phone call woke me up): "-chance to take hold. Valerian root," in a male voice, possibly mine.
I'm traveling, and attending this formal dinner. I'm seated next to this older guy who occupies some position I'm very respectful of, something to do with myth and ritual, and he asks me about what my legacy would be. I'm not a native speaker of whatever language we're using but I believe the word he used has a connotation to do with children, so I talk about being an uncle to my IRL sister's kids. (She doesn't actually have any yet.) He and the people around us seem disappointed by that answer - as if it's an acceptable answer to the question, but an indication that I'm not the kind of person they hoped I was. Then, unsure if I'm translating this accurately, I change my answer to "if the stories I tell are remembered." Now he seems much more approving. Fragments from earlier: Taking a bunch of tourists to see a show claiming to represent old Aztec traditions, stepping back from the show while they watch, and standing next to an ancient Aztec dead man, listening to him mock the show. 3rd person, a magician who traveled and was misinterpreted a certain way by the people he met became known as 'king of kings' (my first waking association with that was Ozymandias).

I was driving down a dirt road in a forest. It was a very old forest, with very thick vegetation. I was not just driving any car: I was driving a old three wheeled racing car. It was red and shiny, I had taken real good care of it. As I was driving I saw a woman walking along the road. I thought "who the hell walks here in the middle of nowhere..." But then I realised it was no ordinary woman, it was the queen herself! I was really confused at that point of why she was in the forest, but I stopped and talked to her. I don't remember the exact conversation, but she was very interested in my car. She was apparently a car collector herself and owned a car just like mine. I think we agreed to race each other later. After that I went to a house that I apparently had bought from the queen (I suppose during that conversation?) and made myself comfortable. It was already furnished so I could move in right away. It was really big, felt like a small mansion. I only got to see the living room and kitchen before I woke up, but at least they were really big. After a while some of my friends came visiting.

(Fragments: I noted down 'veve' and 'garden party' and went back to sleep. I can't remember what either of those were about.) 3rd person, following a lady's maid in a castle. She's with her mistress, a blonde woman, very angry at the master of the house right now, a man with very long black hair and a very deep voice, and the master sends the maid away to go wait for a delivery of fabrics, from which the materials for the mistress's new wardrobe are to be chosen. The servant does as she's told, thinking of how hard it is for her mistress to adjust to her new husband and the customs of the empire, and while she waits for the delivery she weaves some threads into Scholar's Knots, a game for the mistress to unravel later, to calm her down. She makes the knots that represent the Emperors, and then, although they don't traditionally go together, she makes the knots for the Richards kings, which she thinks her mistress will appreciate. As she weaves she thinks, as a way of welcoming the mistress into the empire, welcome to your first thousand years.
11.24.2012Shenanigans in the Sky (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I am going in for work early, but the tech office is not in it's normal location: it is in a palace in the sky. This does not strike me as unusual in the slightest. I take the elevator and come out in a vast expanse of cloud, which I easily walk across to get to the palace. In the tech office, Maria (my supervisor) is really frazzled about some new crisis that's going on. She runs out, leaving me to watch the phone. It seems that Her Majesty Queen Victoria is angry at the King, and it is causing all sorts of problems for everyone. When Maria returns, she charges me with the duty of trying to make peace between the two quarreling monarchs. I am very reluctant to do this, but I begin writing a letter to the Queen anyway. A non-vampire version of Marceline from Adventure Time shows up to assist me. (We seem to have been friends prior to these events.) She says that a letter is not going to do any good: we'll have to have audience with the Queen herself and personally talk some sense into her. We both sneak past the guards and enter the throne room, where the Queen and King are still arguing loudly. We approach the throne and bow. Queen Victoria rolls her eyes at this display of formality, considering we are somewhat friends with her due to events that took place prior to the dream. We reason with the Queen, telling her that this fight is hurting everyone in the kingdom. We ask her to make up with her husband. She finally relents, much to our delight. Now Marceline and I are sitting on a guest couch, still in the throne room. She looks at me and begins mumbling and stuttering something, clearly nervous. "What is it?" I ask her, curious at her rare display of uncertainty. She admits that she has feelings for me and wants to know if I feel the same way. To answer her question, I lean forward and kiss her, pushing her down on the couch and snuggling closer to her. She laughs. "I'll take that as a yes." We continue to kiss for a while until the Queen says we need to find a more appropriate place to display our affections.

Just fragments. I was too tired to record or remember 3 other dreams. All I got is this one. Royal Magic I am royalty. I am looking to buy to mansion. I am with a realtor. Suddenly attacked. I can use magic. The spell I used was dark magic and my appearance turned dark. The attacker said, "You turn bad?" I reply, "Come see how bad I am!" I see a brief Skyrim menu were I can pick spells. The dream skips ahead. I am battered and bloody but I attacker lays dead at my feet. Another fragment... I heard a loud pitched whistling like in SP. I begin walking around and found that same celebrity from my programmer dream (Justin Long) holding a whistle. I suspect I sort of WILDd but didn't realize it.

I'm the adopted son of a nobleman, and I'm in love with this girl. The girl's mother hates me, however, because I'm not noble by blood. There was a clock that I used to do something. The girl's sister contacts me through the clock, with there being some sort of interface on it. The last time she contacted me, I couldn't get it to work right. I remember the girl's mom taking my cellphone and looking through my internet history to look for something specific to hold against me, but it wasn't there. I also remember there being some sort of music playing during the "flashback" to my childhood, but I don't know the song.
The dream began with me, my mother, father, two older sisters, their kids, and grandparents all dressed very nicely, being seated in what seemed to be an opera house-type auditorium. The giant red curtains were closed in front of us. There was orchestral music playing throughout the room. Everyone seemed excited. There were large, flowing white ribbons all around us, hanging from the ceiling. Someone was getting married. The curtains opened up, and everyone clapped. Behind the curtains, though, was blackness. It was almost like the beginning of a movie, but we weren't there to see a movie. Suddenly, in some of the most vivid, extraordinary, magical detail I ever remember experiencing in a dream, bright green flowers and leaves began to protect themselves like holograms out from behind the stage, over the audience; like the beginning of a show. I would say the dream felt very realistic, but honestly, it was a feeling of hyper realism - this could never actually happen. Suddenly, the audience was being flown through a three dimensional holographic realm of an enchanted forest. If you've seen the opening of Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast,' I'd equate it to that. Suddenly, the holographic opening was over, and the stage was set with rows of chairs on the left and right, and in the middle, a flowering arch. Underneath was a prince, wearing a white military uniform, holding a saber. A voice echoed through the room. "We will now seat the family of our most prestigious guests." Then, people began to file in from back stage, sitting in the chairs on stage. Then, someone I thought I knew appeared. He had long, flowing Fabio-like hair. He was smug, arrogant, clumsy, and wearing an awful-looking vest. I felt inside that I... I absolutely hated him for some reason. Behind him was a very prim girl I understood to be his sister, and not his date, for some reason. Then, a wild, possibly retarded child followed her. He had dark red hair and very haunting eyes. Behind him was another girl, though much less attractive than the first, and she had black curly hair. More people sat down, but I only seemed to care about these four, though. They were misbehaving and it was making me angry, because this was a big deal. When the ceremony was about to start, though... I noticed I was nude. This should have been the obvious moment for me to have realized 'Hey. I'm dreaming,' other than the holographic forest experience, but... no. I stood up, but didn't want to distract anyone's view of the ceremony with my... well, nakedness. So I took a back route to a strange closet I found at the top of some stairs, in the back. Inside was a change of clothes, fortunately, but they were gym shorts and a T-shirt; hardly proper dress for such a ceremony. One odd thing about the room, though; it was lined with at least a dozen old TVs... all playing infomercials. Shamwow, Chia Pets, OxyClean, all that kind of stuff. It was at this point I began to fade back into reality. I had left my television on, and the commercials playing in reality were leaking into my dreams because of the audio. I woke up for good, and that was it. Strange. I would love, love, love to see that holographic forest again, though. It was so... vivid. Unlike anything ever.
Just as a note: This whole dream was in anime form. I was riding in a air balloon to go visit a kingdom in the sky to visit my friend(who is also the princess of the kingdom). So I arrive and land the air balloon and when I step off, the princess comes from nowhere and jumps at me and gives me a hug and I hug her back(Although when I think back on this, isn't jumping at someone near the edge of a floating kingdom thousands of feet above the ground a bad idea? -.-'). She then grabs my hand and takes me to meet her other friends. There are 6 of them, all them are also royalty from nearby kingdoms(I was the only non-royal in the group). We hang out in the kingdom for the rest of the day(although i don't remember what we did) and tomorrow the princess wanted to go down to the city below and shop and stuff like that. The next day, I was making a dark yu-gi-oh deck(why, i have no clue. it has been awhile since i had seen anything yu-gi-oh related). Then I went off to where we were supposed to meet up. But one of the guys was blocking the door and he was with the princess. He then slammed her into and through the door(which was made out of glass and wood). She has some glass imbedded in her arms and body and was bleeding some but was otherwise ok somehow. I immediately take on the guy, but he didn't fight like a human(im guessing a demon or some screwed up experiment). He clawed at me with actual claws and when i tried grabbing him from behind, he twisted his head 180 degrees and slashed at my chest. Eventually though, I killed the guy.(I don't remember how though). I fight the rest of them, one after another as well, but I don't remember much of it at all. I do remember a butler helped me against the last of them, some girl. When it was all over, my shirt and chest had been shredded and soaked in blood but I felt fine. The princess ran to me and I held her as she cried. I do not remember a lot of the dream and some parts I just made up some stuff so it would flow better, I am not sure if what I put in those spots are accurate or not.
I am on an ornate cruise ship that is designed for common people to meet with royalty. I am with a friend of mine that looks like a girl I used to know in highschool. We are all stood around in lines in our finest gowns, waiting for one of the royals to walk by and pick from us whomever they are interested to meet. Some sort of prince goes by me and I am not picked. I am not really surprised at this as I feel rather old compared to most of the others. As this round is over we are told to move up to the next level, which is actually up a few floors. Here we are sat down in what looks like theatre seats. Again, a royal starts working his way down the line. For some reason I decide this is a good time to put cream on my legs as they are feeling dry. The cream has a look and texture similar to chocolate pudding. I get it done just in time. I think I must have been picked because now only a few of us are leaving the group to go up a few more floors. Here, in a line again, we are faced with a young girl. She goes through each of us, first tapping us on the shoulder then pulling us forward, mocking us and laughing. She thinks we're pathetic. When she does it to me, I laugh too. She picks me. I'm pulled forward into a space in front of the crowd and I see the royals. It's more like one prince and his friend/servant/advisor. He's sat beside the prince and he looks very bored. He frustratedly tells us that we should "dance or something", so we do, and he likes how the girls dance sexy. Suddenly it's over and the royals are whisked away. It's time to get off the cruise ship, to find our train, but I don't know where my son or friend is. I start going down levels, searching. I am questioning whether it was level 9 or 7 that I was originally on. Some random guy is trying to help me but it's slow going. He's asking people if they have seen my friend. We come across this crowd and someone tells me to watch out, there is a massive spider on the wall nearby and they know how I am terrified of spiders. I see what they are pointing at, it's a bubble of fabric on the wall that is moving in an irregular way. It frees itself from the wall and I see it's really just a leather jacket. I tell them their mistake. A massive gorgeous moth lands on the floor suddenly and someone grabs it. S/he starts breaking pieces off of it like it's made of some sort of brittle taffy and handing the pieces out. I freak out at the cruelty of this, but there is no reaction so I move on. I go into a lift and down another floor. There is a frustrated couple in there with me, trying to get to their floor. I finally find my son and ask him where his Papa is. He says Papa is by the car, and I ask him where the car is. He just says "down", so down we go in search of him. The car is parked in some of the many decks below, rather like a ferry. I am overwhelmed with the idea of searching blindly for it.
Took 100mg of B6 before I went to bed last night, then another 100mg during WBTB. I also decided to do my self-hypnosis technique, but that didn't work out very well when my cat kept stepping on me every five minutes. 1- Dreamviews of the Future ((Note: this was a very abstract dream and most of it is really difficult to put into words.)) Dreamviews is a physical place; I am exploring all of their new "features." I walk past a long line of people carrying musical instruments, whom I discover are all trying out for the new Dreamviews Marching Band. Next, I am looking at some dream journals. Each journal is it's respective member's private home, or inner sanctuary. I visit at mine first and am somewhat disturbed to find a long and very explicit dream written out for all the world to see. Why would I post that in such detail? I think of where I want to go next. I have been talking to Alice (from Resident Evil), and we have grown to be pretty close friends. So I decide to see what her journal is like. I should have known; entrance to her journal is painful and treacherous, as it is guarded by an imposing mound of thorns. Her "inner sanctuary" is more like an internal Hell, imprisoning her within her own dark thoughts. Poor Alice... I want to comfort her, but she resides in the very core of this prison. The dream ends as I am working my way towards her. 2- Saved by the Goddess My getaway will be simple. Ditch these clothes, change into the ones left over by those imbeciles, and escape through the window. I have thought of everything; except, however, drawing the shades. One of the Emperor's cronies has spied me from the open window and has called for backup. My means of escape has quickly become my downfall. I leap out the window anyway, and break into a run. There is still a chance I can get away, though now it will be far more difficult. I make it as far as the road, a dry stretch of unpaved dirt, before I am surrounded. The Emperor and his men have me covered on three sides; the Dark Forest, brimming with werewolves and other man-eating atrocities, stands imposingly to my remaining side. They do not expect me to risk such a fate. An Elven girl a few years my elder, one who I used to call Sister, grabs my arm and secures a handcuff around one wrist. "Come quietly, Princess. There is no way out." Before she can cuff my other wrist, I kick her roughly away, dodge around the Emperor's men, and take off into the forest. They dare not follow, but they don't need to. Almost immediately I am faced with a Hunter; a soul-sucking once human that reeks of fear and decay. One of the Emperor's favorite pets. He actually sent the Hunters after me? I don't know whether to be hurt or flattered. Rather than have my soul taken, I quickly dart back to the edge of the forest where the trees are less dense. Hunters, along with all the other forms of Demon-spawn, would burn in this light. However, it also means that I am once more vulnerable to the soldiers... To my amazement, a voice in by head booms, "Stay behind me!" Suddenly a large brown creature is running in front of me, which I recognize instantly as one of the envoys of the gods. I follow him without hesitation as he guides me through the treacherous forest. The sound of the soldiers' bewilderment from the forest's edge makes me smirk. One out of the forest, I am met with one of my comrades at the outskirts of an old town. It is nighttime now, and avoiding the Demon-spawn will be more difficult. The envoy wishes me luck and is gone. As soon as he disappears, we are attacked by a small shadow creature. A church is nearby, emitting light from it's stained glass windows. I throw the creature into the light, but it merely cackles. "That won't work on meeee!" it screeches. "I am not a mere shade! HE gave birth to me from his very flesh!" The creature flies directly at my face. I hold it back as my companion opens a vortex in the ground, which makes quick work of the enemy. "We need to get inside," I instruct. But as soon as we enter the church, we are met by something potentially more dangerous than shadow creatures: crazed religious fanatics. "Witches!" the ladies cry. "Burn them! Kill the witches!" "Wait!" I protest. "We just want shelter here, same as you." The ladies continue with their cries of death and burning until the oldest of them calls them to silence. She looks at my friend and I knowingly and points to the wall. "What does it say?" she asks me. A single, three letter word is etched into the wall. Her. I repeat the word with some amusement. This church was once a temple to the Goddess. How ironic. The lady details a story in which Merinia, an earth Goddess, was kidnapped and taken prisoner by the Demon King. Her power could easily have defeated the demons, if only she'd had her staff. The sacred object, however, had been stolen from her and lost somewhere in the world. I stare at the lady in shock as she hands me a beautiful, intricately carved staff. "Is this...?" She nods. "Save her," she tells me. I exit the temple/church. Demon-spawn emerge from the ground almost instantly, but the incredibly power of Merinia's staff kills them all with a single blow. I am in awe. Time passes. I have rescued the Goddess (though, it's more like She rescued me), and am now celebrating with my friends. ((Note: I don't think the name in the dream was given as Merinia. I know it started with an M, but I couldn't find an actual earth based goddess with a similar name, and since I couldn't remember it I had to make one up.))
Had a pretty epic night; I was almost sad for it to end. 1- Crystalline Fields I awaken to find a three foot layer of solid, clear ice covering the ground. Inexplicable towers of ice jut up into the sky, some of them formed around entire trees. In the predawn light, the scene looks incredibly beautiful and surreal. It is fairly clear, however, that travel will be impossible for the next few days, if not longer. ((Sometime after the ice dream, I experience strong HI of myself and the Queen, who I was referring to as Stephanie, having a conversation. I do not recall what we spoke of, but I remember feeling somewhat disturbed. Interesting...)) 2- Dreams are Truth Lucid, though I do not recall how, and speaking to some sort of oracle about my dreams. He says that there is a truth my dreams that I must deal with. I feel a great sense of despair and horror. Though I try to deny it, I know which dreams the oracle speaks of. I do not let my mind fully wrap around a certain memory... ((This dream is really vague now, but it was Leroy and the Queen who I was trying not to think about. I'm not sure why I was so concerned. In reality, I'm glad that they seem to be cropping up again. I've missed them both, despite our love/hate relationship. Of course, I do find it disturbing that they seem to have been my parents, if that other dream had any truth to it. Ick...)) 3- Harry Potter and the Forbidden Codex I have been charged by Dumbledore to be the keeper of some very important scrolls, called the Codex, which seem to be entries from a certain adventurer's personal journal. (Interesting, since a codex is the opposite of a scroll.) I am supposed to be studying these entries and trying to gain knowledge from them, but doing so is nearly impossible when Voldemort is constantly trying to steal them from me. He even disguises himself as Dumbledore, but becomes angry and attacks me when I see right through his disguise. ((At some point during our battle, I wake up and manage to re-enter the dream.)) I am surrounded and completely outnumbered; plus I learn that Voldemort has captured Dumbledore and is holding him prisoner. Our only hope is for me to return to Hogwarts. Fortunately, Dobby appears and apparates us there just as Voldy's henchmen come in for the finishing blow. Once at the school, I track down Ron and Hermione. ((I don't know how I know them. I am myself in the dream, but we seem to be friends.)) They accompany me as we travel deep into the bowels of the school in hopes of rescuing our Headmaster. Vicious beasts attack us along the way; one of them is a large cross between a wolf and a bat. Fighting it takes up nearly all of our energy, and we are dismayed to see another, scarier creature replace it almost immediately. ((This whole thing may sound silly, but believe me, it was really intense.)) As if things couldn't get any worse, Voldemort's henchmen show up and change both of my companions into big worms, and paralyze me. However, as soon as they leave, we go back to normal. Why didn't they kill us? I realize that one of them must be a mole, secretly working for Dumbledore. If we can just get to Voldemort, we'd be able to kill him for sure. Finally I find Voldemort. The mole dispatches the other henchmen, while I cast a spell on Voldemort that renders him the scared, insecure child within his soul. He then transforms into a gray blob that bears a somewhat fruity personality. I think I preferred his evil side... 4- Hungry Cats As I am feeding Sadie, I realize that I have a whole bunch of cats outside that I haven't fed in nearly a month! This prompts me to RC, and I become lucid. "I should wake myself up and feed those cats as soon as possible!" I say to Sadie, but then I remember that that's against the rules. "They'll be there when I wake up, if they even exist," I assure myself. ((I hate false memories. I only own one cat.)) I can't stop worrying about my "poor, starving kitties," so I decide to go outside and see if they are in the dream world. Sure enough, a pack of wild looking cats are living in the woods at the edge of my back yard. There are dozens of them, and kittens, too! I call their leader over to me, and ask how they've been doing. "It's a rough world," she says, "But we're surviving." I apologize profusely for forgetting about them and promise to bring them some food when I wake up. "I WOULD do it now, but since this is a dream that would be sort of pointless." No dream goals pop out at me, so I decide to go on a walk. There are now a few people from school walking with me, but I ignore them as I think once more of Leroy and the Queen. I wonder if I should try to find them... My thoughts are interrupted as I come to a fork in the road that was never there before. Should be interesting to see where this goes. But it isn't long before a sports car with a crazed driver comes hurdling towards me. I grin and stand my ground, jumping at the last second and running along the top of the car with one swift step. I land and the car speeds on down the road. This happens several more times, and then guys with REALLY strange looking chainsaws show up. I understand that this is a sort of sport; the guys try to kill me with the chainsaws, and I have to use only my feet to survive. This proves to be exceptionally fun! It's really the same concept as the cars; I simply jump into the air and kick my foot down hard upon the chainsaw, knocking it and its user into the ground. At one point, my shoe becomes a chainsaw ((like Giriko from Soul Eater)) which further enables me to squash my opponents. "I wonder why they don't have a game like this in real life..." 5- More Hungry Cats I "wake up" and RC, but it fails. Good, now I can go feed those cats! When I get to the place where the cats should be, I notice a lot of food scattered around on the ground. What the...? Annoyed to think that I'm wasting time yet again, I RC once more and become lucid. "This is getting on my nerves. Do I even own these cats?" I really feel like I do, but I tell myself that I can't be sure. After all, I thought I'd owned that horse, too, and THAT had only led to nearly getting my leg bit off by a feral goat. So no sense in getting worked up about a few cats who may or may not exist. As I am thinking this over, a cute little puppy wanders over to me. He begins talking about how he ran away from his family, because he hated his uncle, who was the Alpha. At that point, my dogs Fred and Bessie walk up. The puppy worries that Fred is his uncle, but when he sees otherwise he gets "violent" and says he will prove his strength and kill Fred. I tell Fred to go easy on him. But the puppy chickens out at the last second and rolls over on his back in a sign of submission. ((At that point, I wake up for real and find that we have about a foot of snow!))
