non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid false awakening Seems like an energy plant, but cant really tell what is the energy source. I am on a platform that moves and I am having trouble holding on to it as it gets very inclined. Some big dudes come to get me, I feel like I trespassed the place. They want to arrest me. I entered the facility without permission. But I manage to escape and I run to the place where we can enter another section of this world I live in. It is a second class, marginalized wasteland. Yet they have guards at the door and do not allow just anybody in. I pretend to be a hooker. They look suspicious but they let me in. It is a rough place and at some point I have a fist fight with someone, don't know the reason. But I am trying to bring info to someone about the power plant I invaded.
First dream It was dark, cold evening. I was inside a ruined bunker, thinking about finally going outside and facing a wasteland that the world has become. The bunker was mostly empty, everyone left before, only I stayed inside. I finally left it and saw a barren wasteland, devoid of any life. After a while of wandering I went back to bunker, thinking about a way to immortalize the bunker and everyone that sheltered here before. I have it a name "Tecturne" and tried to write it on paper. My younger sister was there too, she gave me some paper. I couldn't write it perfectly as I wanted. Second dream I was in a forest, it was a warm afternoon. With group of classmates we had to make some measurements of wood volume. Instead they were mobbing one of the girls, going as far as stripping her from clothes and trying to rape her. I tried to stop them.
I found myself in a Fallout 4 style landscape. I, like everyone else around me found ourselves in a state of panic and determination to get somewhere safe. Every turn there were gangs standing on the streets waiting to rob civilians. I can into a group of 4 or 5 african american men wearing worn jeans and sports shirts. Some had red bandanas. I jumped over a cliff side after being persues by their shouts and agressive taunts. Luckly the hill was not to steap and I was able to run down it without tripping. It felt like a video game with the lack of realistic off balance one would have when going up down and side to side on a hill. I was a curvy street stretching down the side of the rocks ground with the dried out grass. The road I was starting to follow had first a gang of 5 men standing and sitting on a car and second a large home. This house was something you would see out of a Series of Unfortionate Events Movie or a home owned by an old woman living in Georgia post 1800's. I snuck around the men and entered the home from the back right side. You know that feeling when you go to a college party for the first time freshman year with friends you have only recently met? The smell of cigarettes and un mopped food and tile floors. This was that. I saw farmiliar faces but none could I put a name on. I simply passed through the house like a ghost. No one really noticed me or saw me. Finally, I got to the back left of the house where all of the attractive girls, wearing black, hair straightened, and wearing their kardashian lipstick. They huddled together in small groups. 1, which I will never forget was three girls against the window and the side wall. 2 were sitting down embracing eachother infront of a giant red pillowed heart on the wall. They faced a girl taking their picture on her phone. The second group was four girls, not friendly at all, sitting with eachother talking but never allowing themselves to be face to face. They talked and looked out into the large room. smalled groups were off to the sides and middle of the floor but were of no interest to me. I finally ran into a friend(who? I dont know) but she and I knew eachother as friends. She was with another guy and they were rubbaging through the kitchen trying to find supplies. They would never tell me what they were looking for and only assumed I knew why they were looking. I did. It was the end of days and the beginning of something terrible. 5% of the people I saw were trying to prepare, 60% were getting ready to kill and take everything from everyone, and 35% were living their lives like nothing was going to happen. I only remember leaving the house shortly after my friends preceaded up stairs while the gangsters from our side came into the building. They did not know weather to kill and take everything from everyone or join the party. Aimlessly looking around I snuck past them and back into the barren wasteland. Waiting for what was to come.
I dream of a really beautiful, tropical paradise, like the Hawaii scenery you'd see on postcards. The beach is perfect, and there is exotic fauna and grassy fields. Off in the distance I can see clear skies over sapphire-blue oceans. The ends of two islands frame the edge of my view, and they are equally lush and picturesque; but I know I'm on the "main" island where everyone wants to be. The colors in this world are way to crisp and vivid to possibly exist, like someone is drunk while playing with Photoshop. I turn around, and there is a cliff/overhang that has the sun peaking through the top. A stream and pool bubbles at the bottom, and there is a small waterfall. I had to wade through some relatively thick foliage to get through to the edge of the pool, which is an emerald green. A path has already been made in the foliage to reach it. The sunbeam perfectly illuminates a set of wooden stairs that's built into the cliff, and I notice that the moisture gives the rocky walls a nice little glisten. I walk up the stairs, and after reaching the top of the cliff, I am now on Woburn street, across the street from my friend P's house and next to the Haggen's grocery store. This is not at all an accurate map of my old home town. I turn around, and the cliff is gone, though I'm back on the same level as the grass area of the beach. It is now more of a park now, and I can see people playing. In the middle of the field is an asphalt basketball court, and my friend E is playing on it. I jog over to join him, but the dream fades before I could reach the court. Dream two got pretty fun! I'm in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, but the people have regrouped to a Victorian steampunk setting. It's a clear, sunny and beautiful day, because I'm zipping around in my own goddammned-right-it's-an airship! The airships in the world comes in all shapes and sizes, and seem to be relatively common. I also know being in the air is much more preferable than living in the surface, because the surface is a harsh world of destruction and mutant monsters. My gear seems to be inspired by WWI pilots. I know I have a scarf and goggles on, and I have what appears to be a bomber jacket. I also have two belts around my waist: one is around the belt loops of my pants, and carries some light gear, while another one hangs off it and holsters a Wild West-styled six-shooter, only I know it fires lasers in a shotgun-like spread that resemble golden needles despite me not once using it in my dream. I also have a large object strapped on my back with a handle, so I assume it's a thing I use to smash jerks who got into melee range; because that totally is common in aerial dogfights. ANYWAYS, the airship I pilot is unique in that I operate it like a motorcycle, and is custom made by -- oh yes -- Nikola Tesla (David Bowie version) himself. First, in this world, Tesla is also kind of my employer/dispatcher, and I receive jobs from him via a communicator like the one Mr. House uses in Fallout. Second, when I realize that Tesla designed my airship, the balloon part of my ship gets damaged; I'm not sure if it's a malfunction, or did someone shoot me, but either way, I say something lame to the effects of "time for plan B!" and transform my ship into an electric hovercraft like the ones used in The Matrix, complete with the electric coils. The ship is supported in the air by the electricity that ropes out, and my ship "swings" from these beams. I dive down towards the surface because NOW I'm sure I am being chased, but this sequence fades as I'm diving. In my heart of hearts, I like to think my dream self is being challenged by my Thomas Edison-supported rival in a race across the world, and the ensuing awesome can't be comprehended until I shed my physical form.

I just remember a fragment from tonight: I was talking to Scarlett, one of the main characters from the series "Nuka break": We were in the middle of the wasteland and she had a flamer. Suddenly she torched me with it. I was unharmed, it seems like I was immune to flames, and we both laughed while I stood there burning like a torch. It seems like she had done it just as a joke.
legend: Dream , Semi-Lucid , Lucid First fragment: I had really long dream at the beginning of last night, it seemed like it went on forever, i remember being zero from code geass and causing all sorts of chaos on my farm Second fragment: I killed a giant dragon the size of like a skyscraper. Wasteland: I'm in some sort of dusty wasteland-ish city. The city is split into two parts, one part where bandits can live freely and one part which is protected. I'm in the part with bandits... great. Anyway, i run out of ammunition for my rifle and i decide to go to the store to buy more but the bandits start trying to kill me and then of course this leads to a long chain of events in which i hijack one their vehicles and start driving away and etc.. Now, i try to go get ammunition one more time so they still get in my way so i'm just like "screw that" and start driving up to the town square to move into the safe part of the city. Well, i get up there and this martial arts class is having some sort of ceremony but i walk through it anyway xD. I start looking for the door but can't find it. Eventually, this martial arts person comes up to me and asks me to join their dojo and i'm like no, i'm already training somewhere else. But then i look down and realize i have a black belt on and i'm like wait..i'm not a black belt yet. And this is where i become lucid. However, this lucid i can think clearly, finally, i have a high level of lucidity and since i do, i reminded myself to do a DEILD when i wake back up. Anyway, i see the door that leads to the peaceful part of the city and i head that way, as i do, i look at my hands and they have long and short fingers scattered here and there. For some reason, the weird hands may have freaked me out a little and that made me lose a bit of control, my teeth started clicking together, like what happens when it's cold and you start shaking. So that happened and it was uncontrollable to the point i could hardly speak. Eventually, i wake up and do the DEILD. Let me you tell you, i wasn't ready for it at all xD. My body started shaking violently and since i wasn't expecting it, it was sort of a shock and i couldn't proceed but it was cool none the less. So this marks some milestones! I'm about to hit 25 dreams logged on here, I just hit 10 lucids , I also had a lucid dream the last night so this was exciting(2 in a row!) , And i managed to have a high level of lucidity which allowed me to think clearly. Next milestones up are: 50 dreams logged on here , 25 lucids , and dream control/awareness.
Couldn't recall much details today for some reason... Dream 1: I was in some wasteland area, there was war with some sort of corruption, corruption looked like some sort of green sludge. It formed into buildings that could produce black metallic sort of creatures. At some point dream shifted and i was searching something in some sort of spaceship. I was using ventilation system to hide and was jumping over giant fan at some point. Dream 2: I was playing clearly work in progress map in the game called 'Far Cry'. It started on one island and then there was rope road to the different island. Then there was enemy camp on that island, after clearing it out there was two paths that leaded into empty areas that were unfinished. Enemies were wandering aimlessly in those areas and i was trying to shoot them down using some assault rifle with scope and really bad accuracy. Dream ended soon.
Desolate Land spreads as far as we can see, but we've sustained somehow, and have a little group of survivors. In fact, Somewhat famous for dealing with other Survivors that do harm or threaten others. Average day out, when something we've never seen before comes from the sky. A space station of some sort, Metal, Grey, With Giant Glass Windows all over it. It has Giant Rocket Like things on joints on the bottoms that enable it to lift and fly. It comes down landing right in front of where we are. People come out blasting, I'm thrown off guard that such a thing is controlled and used by humans. I get blasted by a blue bolt of Electric Like stuff that paralysis me and brings me down. I black out... I wake up strapped down to a chair. Everyone from the campsite is chained up and being hung, from the torso twenty yard in front of me. Their then being blasted by gunshots and I start to break from my chains. They all die. I go into a rage. Snapping the guards neck to my right and then using the others gun to shoot himself. The Two Guards guarding the door run through it. Leaving it locked behind them. I look to the wall to the right of the door, left of the way the chair was facing, and see guns placed in a holder. I walk up and grab some SubMachine Guns throwing the straps over my shoulders, grabbing a double pistol hip holster, and some sort of grenade launcher. Alarms start going off. I turn to the door and send a grenade from the launcher that way. The blast blows the door off, killing and/or knocking down a gathering of soldiers on the other side, I come through Shooting the guards trying to get up with a pistol. As I pass the last one I grab a replacement pistol from the guy, put it in my holster and then I grab a shotgun. I have no destination but I'm walking determinedly in a rage, blasting anyone that gets in my way with the shotgun. Eventually a door slides open in front of me. and I see all the windows that were in the front of the ship. There is one guy, standing in front of a control panel. I raise the shotgun and fire, but its empty. the guy then turns to see me... He doesn't look like a normal guy, more robotic, then I realise that he is hooked up by long wires from his finger tips... I pull up a pistol and blast him in the face... He smiles like its nothing and some soldiers come running in through doors on the left and right. I pull the other pistol out and start blasting them as they run in... Eventually I notice that their are too many and I'm being over run. I then pull out my smgs and start blasting the windows. I see clouds outside, so its not really a space ship so much as a moveable station in the sky. The glass shatters sucking us all back. As I come by the man hooked to the panel I see he is still hanging by the cords coming out of his finger tips. I grab his shoulders as I fall past. I look around, all the henchmen are gone, but I see the ship is still flying fine. I look up at the cords. I climb a lil bit up the guy and start to rip the cords from his finger tips. once I get to the last two we rip free. we get sucked out the windows. as were flying I see the ship going down with us, flipping end over end. As I'm rushing toward the ground and my death I'm happy, knowing I avenged my loved ones, with self sacrifice.
27.07.2011Wasteland (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID We were in my old neighborhood from Fayetteville. For once, it actually showed it as it is -- post tornado. (not from google images) It was night time. There were still no street lights on the road pictured above. Some of them that were still up were broken on other streets, or slanted. Houses were messed up left and right. I was riding my bike back from my ex's house to my old house to go get guns, because Rick and I had none (see previous DJ. Rick from Falling Skies), At an intersection, a guy in a blue minivan came up and drove up to me, miraculously avoiding the overturned SUV. He pulled out a gun with his right hand while still in the driver's seat, casually showing it to me. (not from google images) I said, "Come on man.. you got a gun. You mean I can't even fight to attempt to get out?" He laughed and said "hah.. yeah. Pretty fucked up ain't it?" "Man this is bullshit." I replied. I dropped my bike and got in his van. He never noticed Rick. "This place is a wasteland. The world's severely fucked." he said. ================== I had gotten free of him by breaking the rope around my hands and killing his henchman with my fists. I ran back into my old house and grabbed the only pistol there and one hunting knife. I had one more I took from the cellar I was trapped in earlier. The pistol had seven bullets in the chamber. It was a Baretta. I ran back to the ex's house. Her house was elevated by a stucco staircase, and another house was directly across from this staircase (as if the front doors were on the adjacent sides). Rick and I got to the top of the staircase and saw three kids and a man. I looked at Rick and we both tried to hug the wall and get out of view. All three kids saw us and I put my hands over my lips to say "shhhhh..." They didn't speak, but as the staircase curved toward the door, the man saw me. He drew his weapon. I aimed down my sights and shot him in the lower stomach to my right. He slowly fell to the ground, and tried to shoot as he was going down. He aimed directly at me. I started strafing and jumping as if it were a video game, scared out of my mind. Rick stood there staring. *click* *click* *click* The man's pistol wasn't even loaded. The children continued inside the house. I went over to the man's body and found 13 rounds, preloaded in 7 and 6-bullet magazines. I took the empty mag just in case.
I was in a harbor town. The sky was this impossibly beautiful shade of blue, it was just barely past realistic. It wasn't a cloudless day, so the few that were there were beautiful. I'm by the sea. The water is this stunning shade of light blue. Like you see in pictures in resort brochures. It's the type of blue you expect an indoor pool complex at a five-star hotel to have. The sea is never this clean. On this concrete pier. There's a shop behind me with this bright red canopy. I can hear people laughing, the temperature is perfect. Then there are tremors. Small at first but the I begin to see cracks in the concrete. The laughing becomes screaming. The world seems to be swaying, tipping from side to side. So I jump. I dive into the water headfirst. I dive impossibly fast. Everything around me is a blur. The sounds of screaming and falling buildings is overwhelmed by the rushing water. As I get my bearings and slow down, I see hit the ocean floor. It isn't earth the though. It's ceramic. Like the bottom of a pool. I take a quick look around. That same shade of light blue is everywhere. There are no fish, no plants. Only endless ceramic. I can feel the cold glaze on the balls of my feet. The water is warm and there's a stark contrast. I don't remember taking off my shoes. I bend my legs and push off the floor. I shoot up. Insanely quickly. I launch out of the water but gravity never takes hold of me again. I'm flying. The wind has whipped off any dampness and now it's only me. I don't see a city, a sea, people...nothing. Only more sky. The feeling is beautiful. Flying. After a bit I can feel myself losing the dream. I start to feel gravity pulling again. Even worse, I begin to feel the warmth of my blankets. I close my eyes and fight for stability. I open my eyes again and I'm in control again. But I begin to fall. Not straight down, like a rock, but I glide down, like a bird. I break the cloud layer and I see this rocky terrain. It's hard dirt littered with rocks and the occasional weed. I ready my legs and I hit the ground running. The only thing in my mind is the urge to be in the air again. I want to fly. I'm running so fast. I'm barefoot still and the I can feel every pebble and grain of dirt against my skin. I'm hitting some larger rocks, and my feet begin to stumble. There is a dense fog all around me. I can't see further than meters in any direction. I'm determined to fly again though, and I don't lose much speed. I keep jumping as I run. But I can't get any lift. At one point I jump almost ten meters in the air and I panic as I fall to the ground. I'm not in control of my legs, they're running on their own. The ground begins to slope up in front of me. It's a hill at first but it starts getting steep. Not long after I'm almost vertical. I give myself one more mental push and I'm launched in the air once more. I break the cloud layer again and I'm greeted with the beautiful blue sky once again. Time slows as I watch the sun and beautiful cloudscape before me. I can feel my self falling again. But this time, I feel no anxiety or apprehension. I feel the clouds rush past me once more as I hurtle to the floor. I can see the wasteland again. The rocks I stumbled over, screaming towards my face. I wake up.
March 28, 2011 Lucid Dream 205: The Biggest Mack of Them All Series: A Galaxy Not So Far Away, Episode 1 DILD around 7:00pm I am in my old town house. Me and Cliff are passing a bong. I was playing around on the old rocking arm chair we used to have. I leaned to far and flipped it. I got up and examined the chair. One of the springs seemed to be broken off. I asked Cliff if he thought it was broken and he said it was. I was a little pissed at myself for breaking the chair. Cliff said he would fix it. He then grabbed the string from the window blinds and stretched it over to the chair. He attempted to tie it around the chair, but he also toppled over it. He crashed into the nearby table and smashed the lamp that was sitting on it. I looked at the window blinds and they were torn all to pieces as well. I told Cliff, "I think we should just leave the chair as it is." He agreed. We walked outside and got into his car. I was now driving on the edge of a huge wasteland. It resembled a mix between a landfill type garbage dump and a construction area. I saw several cars driving slowly over and around the heaps of construction and garbage. I got in behind one and attempted to follow. A bulldozer suddenly crossed in front of me and blocked my path. The driver looked pissed and shouted, "What the hell are you doing?" I looked around and noticed about 5 more bulldozers, but no cars driving through the wasteland. As I looked around, I instantly became lucid. I jumped out the car and shouted to the driver of the dozer, "She is all yours!" The guy smiled and then slammed into the car. Me and Cliff stood there for a moment and he asked, "So what should we do?" I began looking around for something interesting. I noticed a small elf like figure in the distance. I thought, "Is that...." Cliff interjected, "Its Yoda!" I got excited and said, "Dude, lets go talk to Yoda!" We sprinted across the wasteland and approached Yoda. I half shouted, "Yoda! What are you doing?" Yoda replied, "Ah...Master Yoshi! Waiting for the clones, I am." I asked him if he was referring to the clone army and he let out a soft chuckle. I asked him if he had anything philosophical to tell me. He held out his arm and a holographic menu appeared in the air. I noticed it was a list of lucid dreaming techniques. I moved his hand down and clicked on "DILD." He began reading along with the information that appeared, "DILD involves a hippopotamus, it does. Wanted to be what he was not, he did. The stripes of the zebra on himself he painted." I interrupted him and said, "Yoda. Have you been watching Along Came Polly?" Yoda responded, "Wise you are master Yoshi." I noticed his eyes were really red, so I asked him if he had any intergalactic weed. He then pulled out a baggy of technicolored weed that was glowing like neon lights. I took a moment to stabilize as yoda rolled a blunt. I was afraid my excitement would wake me up. Yoda had finished the blunt which had now turned into a joint. The joint was in the shape of a swan. Yoda squinted and do some weird hand motions and the joint came alive and flew over to my mouth. I took a hit and heard sleigh bells jingling in my ears. I now noticed that the ground was covered in snow. I looked around and noticed I was now in a winter wonderland. Yoda was nowhere to be seen. I turned and entered a nearby building. I walked up a set of stairs and across a hallway. I could heard the sound of a hundred footsteps around the corner. I rounded the corner and found myself looking down a flight of stairs. There were like one hundred girls walking up the stairs. All of them were the exact same girl and wore the exact same outfit (white short shorts with a colored stripe, colored knee high leather boots, and a white v cut top that looked like it was vinyl). The only difference was, each girl had different colored shorts stripes, boots, and hair. I heard them talking about Yoda, so I followed them out of the building. Yoda was back in his previous spot and the girls were draped all over him. He pulled out his cane and yelled, "Time to move hoes!" He then began smacking them in the ass with his cane and herding them like they were sheep. The dream started to fade as they walked away. I managed to clear it up, but as soon as I re-entered the building, I woke up. Series Details Lucid Dreaming with a little Star Wars twist is what you get with the dream series, "A Galaxy Not So Far Away." Stay tuned for more entries to the series.

Note: I fell asleep having plans to meet with Tigress again, to go do something different tonight. So as I fell asleep with my light / sound machine on and I slipped into a WILD… This time, I was focused enough that when the dream started I was already in the landing area of the biodome tower. I looked around the landing area of the biodome tower. All of our ships were there, and there were a couple extra vehicles there. One was a hover bike, the other one was a robot mech… the bike was blue and the mech was green, both of them looked pretty cool. The robot mech was Tigress' and the hover bike was mine, we each went to our own vehicle. Tigress did something over there with hers, a few things seemed to change slightly before she got inside it. I got on my bike and we both launched out of the tower into space where we found a portal, which had been opened by Q so we could easily get where we needed to go. Tigress and I emerged from the portal over a desolate place, there was a dry wind blowing over a parched landscape… it looked like the middle of a vast desert with no sign of even a cactus. Just by looking at the scene it was impossible to tell what had created the desolation, but I remembered Q saying it had been caused by a massive war that had nearly destroyed the entire planet. For a short time we flew over the desolate landscape, I did see that there were occasional ruins that looked like they might have once been buildings of some kind, though it was hard to tell what they had once been. For the most part the only thing that was there to be seen was wastelands extending into the distance. After we had flown for a while I finally saw something up ahead, as we got closer to the place I could tell it was a small area of green in the middle of the desolate wasteland. We got closer and saw there were some simple buildings there and some densely packed trees as well. The small oasis was partially sheltered from the dry winds and dust storms by a small mountain, although it wasn't completely protected. We got closer and I saw the larger trees were being used to shelter and protect smaller trees as they were getting started. There was an irrigation system coming out of the mountain where apparently they had been able to find a water source to help support their little community. I wanted to get a closer look at the place, so Tigress and I flew in towards the oasis. It was then that I saw a cloud of dust approaching the oasis from another direction, and I realized I had been completely forgetting about the attack Q had warned us about. Raiders were attacking the city, trying to take some valuable power cells from them to use for their own needs instead of wasting it on restoring life to the planet. Apparently they were either too short sighted or just too stupid to realize that once all of the energy cells ran out they would be shit out of luck. So instead of heading directly towards the oasis, Tigress and I diverted our path to intercept the raiders cloud of dust. They weren't even trying to go unnoticed, they clearly were completely confident they had the upper hand over anything that could defend the oasis. They were wrong. When we intercepted the raiders, they didn't even bother trying to communicate, they just attacked on sight, though I heard some of them saying the restorationists must have more energy cells hidden away than anyone had realized if they were able to send actual mechs out to meet them. Others said there were only two mechs, though, so it's not like they had been able to mount a serious defense. A few of the raider mechs, which only amounted to some hover craft that couldn't fly very high and a bunch of motorcycles that were equipped with weapons, broke away from the group to intercept us. Apparently they thought that would be enough, there were only four of the hover craft breaking away from the group. One of the raiders on the craft intercepting us called to the others to capture as many restorationists as possible, keeping as many of them alive as possible… they needed an extra food source, and the meat would keep better if the cattle was still alive. The four attacked Tigress and me while the others tried to continue to the oasis. They soon found out that leaving such a few of them to fight us wasn't a good plan when we blasted through the four of them before they even got a shot off, then we flew up and cut off the rest of the group. Now that they realized they would not get rid of us so easily, a battle broke out right there and they had apparently decided they needed to deal with us first before heading to the oasis. Since my hover bike was able to fly and theirs only hover while some of them were even ground vehicles, I was flying circles around them and blasting them from every direction. I could see Tigress wasn't even bothering to avoid their attacks, which were doing absolutely nothing to her mech, and she was blasting many of them, too, as well as crushing some of them beneath her feet. While there were a lot of raiders, none of them were particularly powerful. Just because I wanted to do it, I transformed my mech into robot mode and continued blasting the enemies. I saw Tigress' had shifted into the shape of a wolf and she was tearing enemies apart with razor sharp metal fangs, blasting them with eye lasers, and firing missiles from the claws. Cool transformation! The battle continued for a short time longer, but soon there were no raiders left at all, we had gotten even the few who had tried to escape, I had the idea if they got back to their base they would return with more. We landed near the oasis and got out to look around the place. The people at the oasis were clearly grateful with us for stopping the raiders, but they also seemed a bit wary of strangers. We looked around their oasis for a while, and it turned out they had taken many different kinds of plants and animals into a mountain shelter, which was also where they were getting the water from, to protect the biodiversity of the planet when it was hit with what they knew would be a devastating attack. But even they had been underestimating the total damage it would do, they had not thought they would have to start over planting the very first tree and nursing it to growing just a little so it could take root in the hostile environment… I wandered around the oasis for a while, looking at the trees and grass which looked like it was all taking root very well especially considering the conditions. The irrigation system was a series of small canals branching off in different directions to access the entire oasis, there were some small animals drinking from it as it poured out of the ends of the canals at the roots of the larger trees. It really was beautiful, but it could use some help… I took out my ocarina and started playing a nice tune, as I was playing the music, the plants seemed to perk up and grow, I could see them visibly growing and getting greener. Around the edge of the oasis I could see the green area expanding out into the desert, grasses were sprouting out of the parched ground, saplings began growing into small trees, a spring bubbled up from the dry ground and quickly filled in a small depression in the desert to make a small pond, plants grew on the bottom of the pond and around the pond… more trees sprouted as well… Some of the people from the oasis had followed me out there, and they were clearly amazed at the effect of the music. I soon felt like I was going to wake up, so I told the people that what I had done should help them get things started… and maybe I would be back to do more. They seemed rather speechless… they were still staring at me when I woke.
This is one of those long, detailed, epic-like dreams that my subconscious seems to produce every now and then. The dream takes place in a post-apocalypic world where small populations of people often battle each other over limited resources. Technology has been reduced to horse-drawn carriages and flint-lock pistols. There is a man who lives away from the fighting and he works in a forge underneath a damaged bridge by a wide river. The Swordmaster, as he is called, made swords (duh!) and armour. He had a reputation of being a ruthless fighter and a loner, and had no known friends or relatives. He sold his creations to whomever could pay, choosing not to take sides in the frequent battles. The dream starts with a young girl (about eight years old?), with black hair and green eyes, wandering into his forge (I think her name was Jeyna, or something like that). The Swordmaster tries to scare her away, but she seems unafraid of him and interested in the swords that are on display. I cannot recall the conversation they had, but the Swordmaster eventually bribes her into leaving by giving her a delicately crafted knife for free. The dream takes on a kind of montage effect and shows Jeyna returning in secret several times to watch the swordmaker at work with great fascination. The dream skips a few years. Jeyna flees to the forge because her hometown has been destroyed and with nowhere else to go, she begs the Swordmaster to take her in and teach her how to make swords. He challenges her to a deal and though she is able to deflect a few blows, Jeyna is utterly outmatched by the Swordmaster. However, he is impressed with her skill and determination and agrees to take her on as an apprentice, but warns of his sudden moods and ill temper. Between teaching her how to use the forge, the Swordmaster also teaches Jeyna some swordfighting skills. The dream skips a few more years to when Jeyna is a young woman. Despite his cold, emotionless demenor, the Swordmaster has grown quite attatched to Jeyna and become very protective of her, though he tries not to show it. While working in the forge one day, and while the Swordmaster is out, the forge is raided by bandits looking for supplies. Jeyna tries to defend the place but the bandits are armed with long-range weapons like bows and spears and she is captured. The bandits are about to kill Jeyna when a group of soldiers on horseback and wielding flintlock guns and rifles show up and chase the bandits away. The captain of the soldiers tries to recruit Jeyna, telling her of how much of the population has come together to live in peace, but says that she can only join if she can use a gun. The soldiers then ride off in pursuit of the bandits. After the soldiers leave and the Swordmaster returns and Jeyna has filled him in on what happened, the Swordmaster gives his apprentice directions to a trustworthy and neutral gunsmith that lives a few kilometres south of the forge. Before she leaves, the Swordmaster gives to Jeyna his strongest and most cherished sword. It is a rapier with a white and gold handle and the Swordmaster says that the sword is the best made in the world. Though curious as to why he is passing on the sword to her, Jeyna takes it without question and sets out across no-man's land alone. The Gunsmith's shop is unmarked and located right between two colonies of people that often fight each other and Jeyna has to find it without being seen or caught. When she does find the place, the Gunsmith, a fat, bald man with a thick curling mustach, scoffs at her request for a gun. He claims that she cannot afford his creations and that he only shares his weaponry with soldiers, not children. Jeyna tries everything from threatening him to begging and the Gunsmith just gruffly laughs at all of her attempts. Finally, Jeyna gives up and goes outside, loudly cursing the Swordmaster under her breath. As she starts to walk away, the Gunsmith runs (or waddles, being fat) outside and chides her for not mentioning the Swordmaster before, as they are old friends. The Gunsmith gives Jeyna his best weapon for free and tells her that she is welcome back anytime to learn how to use the weapon. He also says that she and the Swordmaster to come and visit some time. When Jeyna returns to the forge, the hour is very late and the Swordmaster is no where to be found. It is only after a couple of days that Jeyna becomes worried, though she is afraid to leave to forge unguarded. Jeyna continues to work the forge until she runs out of resources, which the Swordmaster had always provided before. Only when all of the goods had been sold and there was nothing left of value in the forge or shop, did Jeyna contemplate leaving. She was torn between searching for the Swordmaster, or trying to find the group of soldiers who had tried to recruit her. The Gunsmith suddenly shows up for a visit and while he can provide her with the location of the soldiers, he has no idea where the Swordmaster would be. The dream gets fuzzy here. There is something about Jeyna searching along the riverbank and running into some of the bandits who raided the forge before. They are unarmed and with their children, bathing and washing their clothes at the water's egde. There is a lengthy conversation about something before Jeyna leaves and returns to the forge. As she is going back she sees two people fighing in the wasteland in the distance and when she gets closer it turns out to be the Swordmaster and the Gunsmith. They are in hand to hand combat and both are battered and bruised. Jeyna runs between the two and tries to seperate them, but the Swordmaster pulls her sword from it's scabbard and violently cuts down the Gunsmith. Jeyna stands in shocked silence while the Swordmaster wipes the sword clean and walks away from the bloody scene. He does not return to the forge and disappears again. Jeyna does not return to the forge and goes to join the soldiers instead. The dream becomes fuzzy and I cannot remember any more.
