False Awakening
So, I've had quite a few lucid dreams before, but I've just recently gotten into the habit of holding my nostrals together every so often to check if I can still breath. I thought it was a little bit silly until last night. I was sitting in my house, it was darker than usual. I plugged my nose just for the heck of it, and... was still breathing. "Woah, that was easy." I thought. I stood up, thinking about what I should do now. I stepped over to my bed to see if I would see myself laying there still. Unfortunetly I didn't, but my wife was in her place in the bed like usual. She woke up and asked me what I was doing, I told her dream character, I'm dreaming babe- just gonna try some stuff out. I wanted the entire room to light up, so I thought of LIGHT! The room didn't necissarily light up, but I looked to my right, and outside of the window it was a very- very bright day all of a sudden. I looked at my computer to notice if the writing was morphed, you know how they say that if you look at words in a dream and then look again- they won't be the same usually? That played a number on my brain, I looked at my computers texts and it was literally all hyroglyphs. lol. At first I was dissapointed because I wanted to check the tasks of the month of dreamviews, then I instantly remembered- that's stupid. I can't check real webpages in my dreams. (Haha) I walked over to my dresser and thought about what I wanted to do. My favorite form in any dream world is a feral beast so I decided to attempt a transformation. My hands turned into long claws and grew fur, but that was about it. For some reason my mind told me that it wasn't up for the full transformation at the moment so I decided to go outside. I flew up and phased through my roof. Once I was on the outside I noticed that I had gone too high. Sometimes when I become lucid in dreams, I dart off into the sky and it doesn't allow my mind to comprehend any of the landscape, so it loses my dream world and cuts off lucidity, so I feel back onto my roof and tried to focus. I was thinking of just sitting on my roof and meditating for a moment. I had the un-nerving feeling that i was almost out of time. I don't remember much after the roof, because shortly after that I had a false awakening where I woke up and told my wife I had a lucid dream, then wrote it down in my phone. Later I woke up and realized that I hadn't wrote it down in my phone, I was peaved. But altogether, I had a good night. I'm going to continue practicing reality checks from now on, definitly.
09.11.2012Duo Missionary Position (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Spoiler for 18+: There are two sex couples together on their own furniture, and I think one of the colors is blue. Both of the furniture have a flat surface instead of being puffy and round. For one couple, I think I take on the perspective of the male thrusting the female in the missionary position. The whole dream is like some kind of erotic anime, because the girl I'm looking down on had big black eyes, black hair, and has a baby-doll face with an adult body. Then the perspective changes to third person where I see both couples engaging in a duo missionary position. The couple on the bottom right of the third person view, there was one guy who has a hairstyle that looked like Light Yagami's from Death Note, light brown, and it's bowl-shaped as well. Whoever it is, he's naked as well, and I can't see who is the other female being penetrated. The environment is in a spacious room, it has black carpet, and it looks like a scene for a porn shoot or something. It's like an office lounge or something like that. _________________________09.11.2012Went Through Hell (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I don't know what's happening here, all I remember is that the environment has different hues of red, orange, and yellow, and there's some weird stuff going on in this room. I could've sworn that I saw Johnny Depp is red Thriller costume, and he's squatting down with his knees together. He has some freaky hairstyle, and he turns his head to the right to look at me. + Even though he's far away from me, it still irks me, and I believe he has blood dripping out of his mouth while he's smiling at me sinisterly. There's a female, and even though I can't recall how she looked like, I had a feeling she was important in the dream. To me, the female was some kind of gray blur, and as I'm trying to really get into detail on what she could look like, I imagine long dark brown/black hair, kind of like Alma Wade from the F.E.A.R game series Whoever it was, she was close to falling into a hole on a ground, and I think someone is trying to trick her into going inside of the hole. She decides to prepare to run and jump into the whole, and I think I started screaming, "NO!" as she's getting closer and closer. I forget what happened next...._________________________09.11.2012Video Game Run (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I'm watching someone, or maybe it's me mentally controlling a video game, but whatever it may be, the character in the video game is going through a lot of areas on a level pretty quickly, and without getting any kind of damage (that I can recall) from enemies. The game itself was 2D, kind of like playing an older version of Zelda, but I can't recall the character at all, just light green grass everywhere, and there's final part in the game where these two creatures that look like they have tentacles are chasing the character. The person controlling the character seems to be able to escape them with ease, and then there's one part of the area, like, to describe how it's set up, when you go past the borders of that area, it shifts to a new area. Anyway, once I get to the final area, and I don't know how I know this, I just do, the two monsters end up catching up to the person running away from them, but by that time, the level was completed._________________________09.11.2012False Awakening Level: >9,000 (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I wake up naturally, and I get up immediately, but I'm still just at an erect sitting position on the bed. I immediately do a nose plug reality check, and I believe I can't breathe at all. I started to count my fingers, but the time I go to my right ring finger to get to the number 4 on my head, I quit counting the rest. I look at my alarm, it looks exactly the same as in waking life. It's black, has red digital font numbers on it, and it the time was 7:xx AM (I can't remember the exact minutes). I look back again, and I could've sworn the time shifted to 5:xx AM, but I just take it as me not looking t the time right. *Facepalm* Everything is dark, and I didn't even bother to realize that it's NEVER THIS DARK if it really was 7:xx AM. Nope, I just sit on my bed like an idiot for a few seconds, and I go back to sleep. OKAY, I know one thing for sure, like with most false awakenings, they start with me waking up in my apartment, and in some rare cases, at a different bed, be it a hospital bed or something else, but those cases are very rare. In fact, I think it's just only one dream I remember where I woke up next to a lady. sitting down at a chair somewhere. And then there's another dream where a blonde in a pink Victoria's Secret panties and bras was right next to me in bed, but I ignore her and probably went back to sleep. Those were from a loooong time.
So this is my first post to my Dream Journal. I have many dreams each night, all of which I remember. Sometimes its LC, but haven’t quite gotten to the point of developing skills for exploring it. But each dream always leaves quite an impression on me. Last day I went to bed around 11, after taking some ZMA. This drug helps me restore muscle tissue better after intense workout which I did yesterday, also its known for causing vivid dreams. Also had a tool for android that register REM state through motion, and is making me aware during sleep. Found myself drifting in and out through different states of dream places during the first 1-2 hours during night. Like almost awake and yet deeply emerged into the dream plane. During this time I had all sorts of dream scenes that I experienced such as; Dystopia society – dark and batman like with akira (comic book) sense to it. Fighting monsters and saving my family. Another dream im an aviator having insane air battles in a small room, became aware here for a short time and tried to control the environment. During these different dream scenes I would awake between each, but not in my bed, but simply awake someplace in another dream - where I would also lay someplace and listening to some music.. Notices that the playlist had small soundtracks to it.. Noticed some named aviation thing, another an apple (inventor) thing... Saw different ones, but kept falling in.. Didn’t quite remember all of the smaller dreams. There was a dream theme throughout the dreams though, the characters that were present to me, was part of my family and known people in different senses.. But they all seemed different - strange and kind of creepy. Kept having doubts and sort of got aware of my dream state through that notion.. But dreams just kept on going.. I then had a huge gap of forgotten dream, until a point were I am in my apartment with 8-10 family members. They all seemed strange and at that time I started to become more and more aware that I was dreaming, kept shouting at em' that I wanted the truth of who they were and that I was aware of them as being a dream character. Then suddenly the dream took quite a dramatic turn. The people gathered in a small group and said to each other that they had to take action or something similar. And the next thing that happens, they disappear and I hear the ground shaking. I run out to my porch and look out over the water to the other side of the lake. And saw a HUGE spaceship, more intense and unimaginable that ive ever seen in a movie, take off. leaving the other side of the city filled with smoke and debris. The water started rising and soon found the yard and roads filled with 2 meters of water.. Rescue teams were sent for us, and first of I refused to leave my animals and started to pack. Called my family which were in another part of the country, asking what is going on. I remember at that time that I took a picture of the spaceship, and send the picture to them. From this point on, I packed more.. neighbors came and we finally left my apartment, while the sky and surrounding were filled with water and a scary visual impressions.. Then the alarm clock woke me up.. Took me quite some time to realize what had just happened.. still kinda confused right now.
I believe I had my first true DEILD this morning. I'll try to remember the details (it happened sometime between 7:30am - 9am), and I slept way in after that, so I don't remember a ton of details. But I know I had vibrations 3 times, and each time I went straight into a dream where I was in my bed and had to think for a bit to make sure I wasn't really awake (my room is starting to look too correct lol). There was literally seconds between each dream, where I didn't move, just felt the vibrations and immediately went into the dream. I also did the advanced TOTM! It was just a little blurry and pretty short because of how unnerving it was. At any rate, I woke up at 5am, went back to sleep, then 6am, sleep, 6:45am, sleep, 7:15am, sleep (lol, school mornings are rough). When I went to bed at 7:30am, I was so tired by this point that I felt the vibrations come on only after a few minutes of just laying there. I waited until I could start to see a picture, and I opened my eyes. It was my room, and again with the strange orangeish light that's almost my only giveaway that I'm dreaming. Still, I get up very slowly just in case. I look at my hands, and the tip of my right ring finger is missing which confirmed lucidity. I give everybody a good wiggle and leave the bedroom. Not thinking of the TOTM right away I decide to go outside and have a look around. I feel like flying (I don't usually, but now I'm starting too more. I think that's good because I bet I'll get to see and do more stuff this way hehe). I shoot straight up and as soon as I can see over the houses, I notice a huge river that doesn't exist irl. Then I think of the advanced TOTM and I bet I can manipulate this river into a cretaceous ocean once I'm underwater. Ever since I chickened out in my last attempt, I formed a plan: find water again, have a cage or some kind of underwater enclosure that lets me see but not get hurt, and one of those electrocutey things. It's a tall order I admit, but I'm really determined! Anyway, I flew up to the river bank, and I noticed a partially sunken inflatable blue canoe, big enough for one. I landed next to it, pulled it out and it immediately popped into shape. I sat down inside it, and it shoved itself on down the river. I willed it to form a glass shell over the top, which it did (but it didn't close properly, which I will discover later). I forgot about the weapon, oops. To my right in my new "sub" is a little control panel with a few unmarked buttons. I pretend I'm punching a combination for "The Cretaceous Period" and I say it aloud as I'm pushing the buttons. The submarine sinks to the ocean floor, and it's brown and murky and a bit hard to see (a little visual snowish). But I squint and pay close attention and move forward across the prehistoric ocean floor, looking for life. Sure enough, I see something that looks like an alligator at first, but as it got closer I noticed it was a mosasaur*. It was weaving left and right along the ocean floor, then it saw me. It paused for a moment and looked at me and I froze. It looked angry, like it wanted to get to me but didn't bother trying because I was protected. Then it swam off. A whole school of mosasaur came next, weaving back an forth like the first, all in unison. They all swam past my little nautilus, and each and every one looked at me all pissed in the same way as the first, then continued on. I was so scared, I thought I would wake up. Then they were gone, and I decided that was good enough for the task and I willed the sub to resurface. As it was moving up, it started filling with water. I just hoped it would make it up before I drowned. It didn't. But I was able to breath, I just wasn't breathing water. It felt like there was always a mask of air in front of my face, and water never came inside (which is actually normal for even my nonlucid underwater dreams, there's always a bit of air there). I could see the glimmer of the water's surface just above me when I woke up. I felt vibrations right away, and knowingly phased into an LD in my room the same way. I got up and thought of the basic task (greedy). Already I wasn't sure how this was going to work, so I just left the bedroom and went to the living room. I stood in front of the piano and said "shrink" but nothing happened. I said it again, but this time I squatted down on the floor at the same time, hoping my subC would fill in the blanks lol. Nothing. So then I remembered someone on DV saying to just make everything around you grow instead. So I willed the furniture to grow, and all that happened was they stayed the same size, but the legs got really long lol. Then I woke up. That one is going to be way hard for me. I'm going to need a plan again, like maybe using a mirror portal or going up a beanstalk haha. Same transition again (I'm already thinking how cool it's going to be to blog the fact that I did a true DEILD, as well as noticing that the 2nd was shorted than the first. So this one may end up being even shorter, oh well). Again, I "awoke" in my bed immediately lucid, got up, left the room and headed for the living room. I saw Danny (irl he's at work). I was glad I saw the DC version of him, because we had a bad fight last night irl, but this DC doesn't know that hehe. I hugged him and he bit my hand, demon style. I slapped him on the side of his head, and he returned to normal. I said "Let's go outside." We went to the front yard. It was cool, and cloudy. I said, "I can fly, want to come with me?" He said sure. I got behind him, and put my arms around his chest and locked my fingers. With effort, I jumped straight up, and we started to sink immediately. He was so heavy! I forced us to go higher, which worked, but it was hard to steer with Danny in my arms. We were heading straight for some trees, but I forced us to the right as hard as I could. I said "It's really hard to steer while holding you." But I managed to get us up higher, and over the houses. I said "Want to see something cool? Just over those houses is a really big river!" So I flew us to the river so he could see it. We just hovered over the rooftops, watching the water move for a few moments, then I woke up. Gucci was barking irl so I got up and let him in. I went back to sleep and had a few FAs, all related to confronting Danny about our fight last night. That's all there was. *edit: not pliosaurs, they were mosasaurs. I googled different ones and it was the mosasaur that were more alligator-looking.

I am in the middle of a field training exercise and I've lost my weapon. I am searching all over for this weapon. I find many other rifles that were previously mine but not the one I came to the field with. I go down several passageways looking for this rifle. I stop by a door where Laurence Fishburn and a couple of other actors are having a discussion; they are all cops. Laurence Fishburn just got out of jail for a crime but the others all shun him because he snitched to get a lesser sentence. I think nothing of this and keep walking. I enter a random room where I encounter a woman looking for a lost weapon also. We start looking together. Her face is not very clear. She gets on her back and slides under a bed looking and I wished she was naked and poof she had no clothes on. At this sudden moment I pinch my nose and proceed to do a reality check. It was the sweetest, freshest breath I've ever taken. I instantly realize I was in a dream and it all starts to fade as the woman is moaning. The color green lingers as I just hear the noises of the dream. At this point, I have a false awakening with someone walking inside my tent and turning the light on. I lay back down angry and instantly resume the dream and continuing my search for the weapon. As I am about to open a door, I stop to feel the door handle and perform the same reality check and once again I become lucid. With this realization my awareness shifts to my sleeping body, wondering if i was holding my breath in my sleeping body while continuing to breathe in the dream and the dream ends abruptly with the sound of a tv shutting off followed by sleep paralysis(I've had these childhood, they don't phase me). *Achieved Lucidity with the WBTB method. *I see different rooms and passageways and different elements that I've dreamed about years ago appear in this dream. *It's very clear at this point that my dream signs are movie actors playing a role. *I've been deployed for a couple of months now, it's been a while lol
My first sleep paralysis since I started studying lucid dreaming a few weeks ago. I was in my own bed, chest down, unable to move. I realized I was dreaming and tried to look at my hands but I couldn't turn them up, the one I was facing in my immobile state was hanging off the bed. I thought about how this was just a dream and I should be able to turn it into a lucid dream, but I couldn't move, I heard my brother and sister chatting behind me, I saw a bug on the wall. I kept thinking about how I was dreaming and I should be able to control it, but I couldn't move, eventually I woke up for real.
Counter-Bullying I'm sitting at a desk in a high-school classroom. The teacher is an athletic-looking male, and it's a math class. But I'm not paying attention to that, because I feel something hurting me from behind. Some dumb kid thinks it would be fun to bully me, eh? I half turn in my seat, then casually and carefully bite the finger that's hurting me. I only catch a tiny bit of skin in the bite, but I think it's enough. "Thank you, for not doing that again," I say. No reply. A few minutes later, I feel a prick of pain in one of my shoulders that won't go away. Apparently I didn't scare them off last time. I have no idea how they're causing this particular sensation of pain, but I try to get rid of it by rubbing my shoulder against the seat behind me. It stops. After a second, I decide it's time for a confrontation. I turn all the way around and grab the kid behind me by the front of his clothes. He looks to be about fourteen or fifteen, with his hair cut long, a bit like Justin Bieber. He had been laughing quietly to himself, but he's not any more. "What's your name, kid?" I ask. He just keeps looking around, shifting his eyes and not making eye contact. He doesn't look particularly scared. I'm trying to give him an angry, threatening look, and I'm surprised at how successful I seem to be. It's not a look I've had much experience with. I look around to see if he had an accomplice. The guy sitting to the kid's right seems to be laughing to himself as well, so I ask him, "How about you, huh? What's your name?" He too stops laughing, but he doesn't answer, either. I notice that both kids have the same basic haircut, and also the same hair color: light blond dyed a faint purple. Anyway, since neither of them are responding, I suppose I should start thinking about how to deliver the rest of my speech. I get up to walk a few feet away, conscious that other people in the room are probably about to start noticing the confrontation. When I turn around, I'm surprised to find things have escalated: an ally of mine's found a friend of his, and they've ganged up on one of the boys who was bullying me. One of them is pinning the boy's arms behind his back, and the other is winding up to punch him. I suppose they figure they'll get him to talk by torturing him. But that's no good, so I run back and shove them apart with my hands. Now the teacher's definitely coming, so I only have a few moments to finish dealing with the situation my way. I start lecturing the kid from the seat behind me, even as the teacher runs up and tells us in an exasperated, angry voice to get back to our seats. It's clear he just wants to end the disruption; he doesn't really care what caused it. I think I should finish my lecture, first. I [falsely] wake up. I spend a few moments trying to remember the details of the dream, then I open my dream diary. I'm surprised not to see a date on the page: I usually write tomorrow's date right before I go to bed at night. But then I look at some of the text already on the page and remember that I've already written down some dreams from earlier tonight. So I put down a new bullet point and write down some details from this most recent dream, including "slight purplish hair." My handwriting is unusually small. I hope I'll be able to read it later. Now, I'm not sure what time it is, and I'm not sure whether I have school today. It's the day after I flew back to Chicago for school. [IRL, I'm still on summer vacation.] I'm mostly moved into my room, except I'm pretty sure some of my stuff is still in storage elsewhere in the city. I'd planned to get that before classes started, so I really hope it's not Monday. But then, I'd planned to fly back on a Friday, so maybe I have the whole weekend left? I'm not sure, so I look for my cell phone to check the date. The room is large and rectangular, the headboard of my queen-sized bed midway up the longer side. My first cell phone tells me nothing. My second cell phone, a red one, confuses me. [IRL, I don't have a second cell phone.] I can't find the date or time anywhere. Then I see the word "recording" on the screen, and I realize I must have left it recording video all through the night. I wonder what size the file is by now.
Terrorists in the downtown area This was an involved dream, not everything may be in order. I was with my mom in a waiting room. I didn't really know what was going on, but I knew my mom was trying to win some legal battle. She tells me something about what happened last year and wondered how I could not remember. We get called into this office. I am asked what I remember from last year, but I come up with nothing. My mom tells me some things to try to refresh my memory, but I am not understanding. Next thing I remember we are driving downtown in a city which does not seem completely familiar. We pass by a building and saw about 4 armed guards in front of the entrance to an alleyway. My mom is driving, I am in the back, my brother is in the seat next to me, and my dad is in the passenger seat. We are in a blue minivan, big enough to hold about 7 people. We know we can't escape, as guards guide us in to this area surrounded by tall buildings, the only exit being where we just came in. I look around and there is like 3 guards aiming at each passenger at all times. I focus my attention to a guard with a sniper rifle from above. I notice most of the cars there(There had to be over 50 cars there) were all economic/small cars. We sit there for a few minutes trying to discuss the situation, then all of a sudden a person comes to the window and tells us this is a hostage situation, and that we must vote for their country's leader. If we say no, or vote for the wrong person, bad things can happen. If we try escaping, we get shot. We followed the rules (I don't remember ever voting) and were eventually allowed to leave. I remember at one point on the way out being on foot. My mother and I were in like an apartment building, and there were two ladders going a long distance downward. It was the only way out. I start going down, but my mom has a laptop, and can not carry it down the stairs. She sets it down, then starts declining. I go about 3 steps down, and the ladder rungs break. I ease my way down, but each rung breaks as I touch it. I can say it was not pleasant going down.. At the bottom I realize we need that laptop, and look at the side my mom came down, thankfully it was all intact, and looked more like stairs than a ladder. I go up, get the laptop, then go back down. I remember the hostage situation from last year being almost the same, and get chills. Skip about two days later, same thing happens. We drive up, see the guards, and know we are in trouble. We try saying to a guard that we just did this yesterday, and we are asked to leave the vehicle. We come up to a tall and intimidating black guard who asks us what our excuse was. I say we were just here yesterday, and he replies "That is bullshit, we would know if you were here by the look of your van." And I say "Well, maybe it was two days ago..I know we were just here." He gets in our van, along with a couple of other military dressed people. I remember me and my brother being in the car, the black man in the middle, 2 military people in front, and another military person in the back. The black man starts talking secrets about their plans, and the guy in the back brings a rifle to the black man's head and says something to the effect of "Don't let them know what we are up to. your job is to make sure everyone follows the rules, and if they don't, shoot them. I have no problem killing you on the spot." I remember one last person asking us why we are not listening to their rules, and I explain we were just here. He is holding a morning star that has an extendable handle. Very sturdy and dangerous. He says "You were not here yesterday" then holds the club as if he is about to hit it against my leg. I say maybe it was two days ago, then he swings his arm back, and just before he hits me, I "wake up." False Awakening I woke up and read my new bedside DJ. I remember it saying: 1. Spencer, cali, lake, tits (I had a dream written about this, but it was so fragmented due to how early in the night it was that I deleted it.) 2. nothing 3. Something about a terrorist takeover downtown 4. Mom bringing me in to a place about a terrorist attack from last year that I don't remember 5. Terrorist takeover(more detailed) I remember thinking "Yes! 5 dreams recalled in one night!" I got up, walked out of the room then woke up again, this time for real.

So last night I had probably five different major things happen in my house, so the order of them is a little bit jumbled in my head. As far as I know, the first part went like this. I told my wife goodnight, she went to bed. Shortly after that, I was alone in the house- but I got a visitor. My old friend Eric came over and we talked a while, and smoked a little bit(Which is a little off, because I quit smoking marijuana a short while back because it was giving me extreme anxiety attacks.). After we hung out for a while, he took off. Suddenly I remembered, "Wow, this is strange. I'm not panicking." So I called my sister and told her about it, kind of excited even though it made little sense. After I hung up I started to panic a bit(Haha, dreams). But at that point my wife woke up and got mad at me, because she had been trying to sleep in that room the whole time. I realize now that she hadn't, but it was a dream so I went with it. I said sorry, I had no idea why I didn't realize that. My mind made up the excuse that I just wasn't used to our new sleeping arrangements. Anyways, after that- she had to use the restroom. But for some reason, we had an ill feeling that something might be waiting in the bathroom. So I grabbed the knife off of my desk and walked in slowly to find a small, thin, wooden labyrinth going through my bathroom to the side with the toilet. Of course though, on the thin wooden panels going all the way through were mirrors. I could have sworn I saw something move other than myself when first entering the bathroom. Entering the mirror labyrinth*. Now that I remember my dream, I did see something move. But I attributed it to my mind playing tricks on me. I walked all the way through and found nothing, and walked back out. That whole scene made me pretty nervous for some reason, even after I found that nothing was there. Probably just my subconscious telling me that something in my bathroom looked wrong. lol. That was the end of that dream. But at one point later, I had a false awakening where I was telling my wife about my weird dreams of this night. She told me that she assumed I was having some weird dreams, because I was yelling "Fuck your mother!" in my sleep. This is funny to me, excuse my language.

Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #13: Dad's Dream Journal My dad has started a dream journal and he's looking for my advice on lucid dreaming. For some reason, he secretly dead drops the journal to me in the back of a car. I have to pick it up late at night to make sure that nobody finds out that he's keeping a dream journal. His journal describes a dream that he had falling asleep in a chair. I read through it and conclude that he was very close to a WILD. I'm very happy for him and attempt to place a rah-rah green check mark in the margin of his DJ. To my astonishment, it comes out as a boldfaced "left 2". I wonder what the hell is going on and decide to reality check "just in case". I use the nose pinch RC and instantly become lucid. My sudden lucidity shocks me into a false awakening in the hotel room I am sharing with Wife. I know that it's a false awakening because I still have the nose pinch clamped down and I'm still breathing freely. I get up out of bed but the sheets are wrapped tightly around me. I flail and struggle to free myself from the sheets and finally fling them across the room. The room's incredibly dark and I can barely see anything. I feel on the wall, expecting to find a light switch. I flick it on and rather than illuminating the room it causes a very dim light to come on outside. I feel for another switch and this one seems to turn on a dim bathroom light behind me, but this soon goes out. I'm looking for another switch when the room's air conditioning suddenly roars to life and I awaken to the sound of the (very loud) hotel room A/C. These dark rooms can be tricky! Next time I may try just walking through doors as quickly as I can. I saw that OpheliaBlue had some success using that to escape darkness. If that doesn't work, perhaps I'll just hurl myself off of an imaginary cliff again and try my luck.
Bottomless Towards the end of the women's choir concert, a soloist walks on. I don't recognize her as one of the members of the choir. Her first few notes have pretty bad tone, which I realize must be because she hasn't done any singing yet in the concert (so she isn't warmed up). As the song goes on, she doesn't get much better--although she does have a nice stage personality, so the song's still enjoyable. But eventually she stops and goes into the bathroom. It's kind of dark, so I'm not sure about this next part, but . . . when she comes out of the bathroom, it looks like she's not wearing any pants or underwear. Dreamer's Tales I'm reading from a random dream journal on DV. The writer uses a large, boldface font. The basic story is that he's incapacitated the leader of the bad guys, but he's still looking around for the rest of them. Then he realizes that in the time he's been looking, the leader may have woken up again. For all he knows, the leader could be standing right behind him, right now. The DJ entry stops there. I'm delighted to realize that I understand why: the sense of being followed is sometimes scary enough to cause the "Abort! Abort! Nightmare!" response. Overall, I'm impressed with this dream and with the way it was told. Revelry My dad is laughing about something he just heard from one of his friends. Apparently, that friend just received a call that his son was arrested in Philadelphia. As far as anyone knows so far, he got drunk with some friends, and they decided to fly over there to watch our state football team play an away game? Either way, it's hilarious. Gaps I'm writing in my dream diary when I realize that I'm running out of space: there are some more notes in the diary, below where I'm writing right now. I must accidentally have written on that page one time when there wasn't enough light to see what I was doing. I have plenty more stuff to write, though, so I need more room. I look back at the previous page and notice five or six blank lines on the bottom. I have no idea why I skipped those, but good thing I did! Now I have enough space to finish my entry. Accio Glasses I'm home between classes, working on something. When I look at the clock, I realize that it's way past time for me to be heading back to school. Class has already started. Even worse: I just remembered I have a worksheet due today. I meant to work on it during this break, but it completely slipped my mind. Hurriedly, I gather up my things from the room and start towards the door. I notice that everything looks a little fuzzy, and I realize I've forgotten to put on my glasses. I run back to the room in which I left them. They're all the way on the other side of the room, and my sister's sitting in an easy chair, reading a book. I suspect she's irritated about all the noise I'm making, so I try to make a joke. "Accio glasses!" I say, pointing my hand across the room. That way, she'll realize I'm in a hurry (since I wish I could just summon my glasses, rather than walking to them). Hopefully she'll also think I'm in a good mood ('cause it's a joke), and it'll put her in a better mood (since it's a Harry Potter reference). Anyway, my glasses case rises from its resting place and floats across the room to hover in front of me. It opens, and my glasses float out and unfold themselves. Bemused, I reach for them. But apparently they were expecting me to reach for a different part, because they helpfully dart a foot to one side, causing me to miss. On the second try, I grab them. Cast Iron I'm being chased by a wild animal, a bear or something. Right in front of me is an alley guarded by a cast iron gate. If I can climb over the gate, I'll be safe. But the bear is right behind me, so I have to climb quickly. Once I start climbing, my arms and legs suddenly feel like they weigh fifty pounds apiece. They get tangled in the gaps in the cast iron, and I know I won't make it up in time. I decide to try again. This time, I'm being chased by a gorilla with tentacles on its chin, like Davy Jones from PotC. But it's also farther back and I'm already halfway up the gate. I manage to get over in time. I watch as it runs up to the gate and starts climbing after me. Uh oh. I run to a door at the end of the alley, just a plain rectangle of wood, painted white. It opens inward, but the space behind is almost entirely filled by the door itself. I try to hold the door at just the right angle to squeeze around the edge, so that I can shut the door behind me. Presentation Day I walk into my English class, and the teacher says "Let's talk about [insert author here]." I'd completely forgotten about that reading. I remember him assigning it almost on the first day of class, but I thought he would remind us at least once before the day it was due! Apparently he expects us to keep track of everything we should be doing. Which is fine, except that I've failed that expectation. I'm supposed to have read an entire play, but I have no idea what it's even about. A small group of students goes to the front of the room to do their presentation. Sometime during the course of class, I accidentally scratch a girl's ankle. I wake up [falsely]. Taking a long, sharp metal stick, I go into the front hall and begin scratching the wooden floor, writing down my notes for the dream I just had. My sister walks by just as I finish writing the name of the girl I accidentally scratched. I notice she's looking at the name, and I'm worried she'll recognize it, or perhaps mistakenly associate the name with someone else she knows, who just happens to have the same name.
I had a dream that I was going to college. It was like a graduation ceremony, though, except it was for the new students. They started by calling the names of the students who'd earned scholarships, then went on to call everyone else, one by one. There were seats in the front of the room, behind the official people calling names, facing the back, for all the students whose names had already been called. They were also higher up; the room was like an auditorium, where it's slanted, except the front of the room was higher up). It was really exciting when they called my name. After I'd been called, though, I remembered that I still had another year of high school... but then I just assumed this ceremony was for the students who'd been accepted and would be starting college next fall. In the next dream, my family and I had moved to a hotel in North Carolina, but I really didn't want to be there. The hotel was not very good, and I assumed the rest of the state was the same. I woke up from that dream and started writing in my dream journal. I'd written almost one page when I heard my mom call from the dining room to say that breakfast was ready. I told her I'd be out in just a moment and continued writing. ...then I woke up.
I'm in a bar with two of my friends. Tim and Mike. We're playing ping pong for some reason. Drinking and ping pong are two things I do enjoy so this makes sense Tim tries to explain something to me and I try to respond to him as best I can as I'm leaving the bar but cannot find the words because I'm intoxicated. I mumble something incoherently and then realize that I have to be dreaming because Tim and Mike do not drink anymore and the only bar that ever had a ping pong table has been closed since I finished high school. I IMMEDIATELY hear a roar of noise and what sounds like rain and realize when I wake that it's my air conditioner making the noise. I was also able to make sounds and say words while I was in a conscious awakened state whilst still being unable to open my eyes. My girlfriend confirmed this as she was lying next to me the whole time. Weird...
It starts by me trying to fall asleep, but I can't. I hear noises so I go to investigate and my environment kind of changes to my a front yard with a minecraft-like scene with trees and stuff from the game. They are cutting down wood, and begin to come over towards me. They introduce themselves, and one has a very strong accent and says they are from Bulgaria. One girl looks older than the other. One of them starts talking to me, like she's trying to get to know me, but I find it really difficult to understand her. We don't talk to much and then I try to find a way in order to get rid of them, and then another man comes and I assume it's her father. I didn't know what to do, because he insisted on watching a movie and cooking food in my house, and I just wanted him out. He begins to play the movie, and I try to just urge and push them out of the house, but they won't go anywhere. That is when I wake up. Just curious, is that a false awakening, or does that have another name, when I start in the state of trying to fall asleep when the dream begins?
