Lucid Dreams
I didn't log my first dream because I'm still sick but I did end up taking a nap after listening to some LD stuff on YouTube... So my dream was started by going into what looked like a car wash but it was actually some cleaver entrance (became lucid right here) into a place w/ booths that looked liked dressing rooms but actually was where you could pick out themes for kids birthday parties. In real life my husband came home from work in the middle of all of this but I didn't open my eyes & instead just let myself stay in my dream because I was now lucid.... I kept walking around inside this place & was looking for something to use to help me trigger the TOTY but I was still stuck in where I was because I could hear my husband taking a shower & my cat meowing so the real world wouldn't let me create a place outside of where I was. I'm sure the birthday thing is because I will be at my son's Bachelor's degree graduation & I'm conflicted about it because my I'll be gone for my grandson's 5th birthday & his dad was just sentenced to 20 yrs in prison. I know I have to go to the graduation but it's important that we help our daughter w/ her kids as role models even more than usual because of this situation. OK, so, this dream is pretty interesting. Or rather, "dreams". I'd had several lucids in a week while not actively practicing which sparked me to start posting on DV a bit, see if I could get those back to a decent consistency. That was a couple weeks ago and I had nothing between then and now. Luckily, after snoozing my alarm for what seems like ages (I think I just turned it off, actually), I got lucid... somehow. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was a weird DEILD/MILD combo thingy. Either way, enjoy: I was in some sort of old town, early 1900s, similar to New York City. I was in a large courtyard with a small fountain in the middle and only a few DCs sitting against on of the buildings of the courtyard doing god knows what. I was with a girl of some sort running through the courtyard essentially dragging her by her hand (she was still running). IDK what we were running for or from, but we headed out of the courtyard and into an alley. This is were it gets a little hazy. I remember spinning around as if I was trying to save a lucid dream, but I don't remember being lucid. The spinning wasn't very effective, because I woke up, still motionless and eyes closed, mind you, but awake. The thing is, normally I'll spin if I can tell a dream is fading (basically a small spark of lucidity at the last second of a dream) and can then prepare myself for a DEILD, otherwise it's a bit sketchy whether I'll stay still/keep my eyes closed. In either case, I laid still, kept imagining myself spinning just like I was when I woke up. Same area, same person I was with, same dizziness from spinning. After a surprisingly short time, I found the dream to feel a bit more real, tentatively tried to move around, and continued on like normal. So DEILD? DILD? MILD? (I did use a mantra when I went to bed) No matter, we're lucid but, being a bit brash, I didn't bother to stabilize or really do much of anything besides continue the dream. I wasn't 100% lucid, but I did have control over everything and could think, mostly. So continuing the dream, we ran into a random door that seemed good at the time and ended up in a large stage theater right by the stage. No one was in here so I figured this was a great place to run through because, hey, we were running from something... I think. Anyway, we head up and out the theater door, when the dream starts to fade again. I try spinning like before to salvage it, but end up waking up again. Damn, I just new remembered that I had to program something! Either way, the same thing earlier happened. I envisioned myself still spinning, and after what seemed like only 30 seconds, I was able to keep going in the dream. At this point we had accomplices, apparently. I remember them, somehow, so they were probably from earlier in the dream (the non-lucid part of which I don't remember well); two guys, around age 20, and another, still around that age that I don't recognize. We were on a very wide street, probably 100 feet wide so I'm not sure where we were anymore, but we continued walking down it because hey, if I want to code something I have to find a computer... I think. It's a dream, anything goes. I walked into the next building that caught my eye, thinking there would be a computer of some sort in there. When I got in all I saw was a very large staircase, one out of a foyer of a castle, so obviously we went up it. We had to go up a couple floors but at the top I saw it: a random table with a laptop on it. Perfect! So, I rush over to it and start looking for something to code in. The thing itself had soooo many programs open. Multiple word, powerpoint, excel files, multiple internet tabs (can't remember which browser) and plenty of other random things, so much like my computer. I decide to head to codecademy, since that's where I started and knew they had an editor and some way to run it. Unfortunately I kept mistyping the name. Either I was pressing the wrong keys or my dream was playing a trick on me. After several failed attempts I just said screw it, clicked through everything, closed almost everything (this laptop was surprisingly fast) and opened up powerpoint. I didn't really open it, just opened one file (which had 80 something slides in it) and began deleting slides to make room. Could've just started a new file, but like I said, the dream was a little unstable. A couple people sitting on a bench nearby (may have been those younger guys) call over and ask what I'm doing. "Gotta code in a dream!" I told them. They just scoffed at me, kind of annoying but hey, they aren't interfering so I don't care. So finally, I have an empty powerpoint and no idea what to code. Well, lets make something that tells me if I'm lucid because, hey, it should return true, right?... RIGHT? So I typed in (to my recall) the following code: Code: def lucdity(): if lucidity == True: print "YES!" else: print "no" print lucidity() So yeah, that's how I remember it. It may have been worse, may have made no sense at all. That probably doesn't actually do anything and would just error, but either way it was a code in a dream. And, as is typical for this dream, right as I'm about to run it -- or rather, as I'm looking for a way to run it in powerpoint, the dream fades. Quickly, too. So I start to spin, but of course I end up waking up. Well shit, guess we gotta DEILD one more time so I can finish the damn thing. So we repeat what we did earlier, really focusing at this point since I don't want all this work to go to waste. After what seems like forever, though I'm sure it was no more than a minute or to, I feel like I'm back in that building (it reminded me of some of the older buildings at Syracuse University, if any of you have been there before). Tentatively, I try moving around a little, open my eyes, and yes! We made it. I look back at the laptop to run my code, but it's already run. A big "True" is sitting in the comments section of powerpoint. OK, well, that's good. The dream confirming you're lucid is definitely a good thing. So we did it Well, now we should continue the dream, right? I very vaguely remember tidbits on the dream before I got lucid originally, but I know we were heading somewhere. So I start to walk off with the girl I was originally with (no idea where those two guys went) but the third one steps in front of us. He threatens us with a pen, for some reason, and tells us we're not going anywhere (cliche ). For some reason I remember the pen so vividly, it was weird. The tip of it, the ballpoint with ink on most of it, but not all of it. It was one of those thick, purple ones where you twist half of the pen to write with it. I focused so intently on it, of course it means I didn't catch the dream fading. Before I know it I'm feeling my body in my bed and barely have any grasp on the dream at all. I try to imagine my dream self spinning, seeing if I could get another DEILD. And then it happens. Those damn birds outside start singing and it's all I could focus on. It probably doesn't help that I had a pretty poor grasp on the dream at hand, but I always get annoyed whenever something external stops a DEILD train. But hey, we barely got a task done, had some fun (I think the dream beforehand involved me and the girl ) and broke a small dry spell.

#1. I was driving a black convertible down the road and playing loud music. I saw some cops and thought they were going to pull me over, but they didn't. Later I got my car stuck and the police came to help. I thought they were going to be mad and give me a ticket, but they didn't. They were really cool about it. I promised myself I would abide by the law closer and always be nice to police. I then remember finding this house by the beach. (I was in an unusual location. While not very interesting, it wasn't the usual my-neighborhood-overlayed-with-some-cheap-props.) So credit for that. The woman who lived at it, a 50-something single woman who looked pretty good for her age. She was supposedly the worlds best angry birds player and something of a celebrity for it. I don't remember why or even think there was a reason for it to begin with, but I was forced into interaction with her. I felt like this whole thing was a scam. Nobody should be a celebrity just for being good at a mobile game. But then again, she wasn't THAT famous. Her house was small, she lived alone and there was no paparazzi around. She probably just made enough money to live here comfortably for the rest of her life. ... I remember leaving. She was following me and I was going back to my place, a condo a little closer to the ocean. To get there, we had to ride our bikes down a sand trail at night through this huge field. She stopped saying she was out of breath and we stopped for a minute. I RC'd and became lucid. I think I said something about being lucid to the woman. WBABP: "In order to proceed, you must meditate on the meaning of Vishnu." Me: "But I'm not hindu." WBABP: "Be nike and just do it, like I did when I shot that bird at the last glass block ass. My ass." (Slaps her butt.) "And maybe you'll end up as well-off as me." (Smiles) I don't know what came over me next. But for some reason I thought I wanted to change the look of the moon. I remember I could focus on making it lighter or darker and do so. I then discovered that I could turn the moon into molten magma and solid at will. It was pretty cool because I turned all of earth's moon into magma, then reformed it, and when I did, I cleared away all of the craters, and earth had a smooth moon now. I then drew a pair of magic runes on the moon out of magma channels on the top and bottom. Then another pair on the sides. Then four more at a 45 degree angle. Then connected them to make an 8-pointed star. Some internal logic told me that when people draw a pentagram, it is a five dimensional shape, so they summon demons from the fifth dimension. But if you draw an 8 sided star (Octogram?) you summon very powerful beings from the 8th dimension. Just because I was lucid didn't mean I had any idea what I was doing. I remember an egg shape formed out of the moon magma, solidified into a smooth white egg and floated down. It hatched. It was some horrifying alien lizard creature. Something like a velociraptor but with a wider face, and it walked on all fours with really large, muscular front legs and small, thin back legs, and a tail with a spiked weapon on it. It wasn't that big, maybe the size of a horse. The thing that made it even more off-putting was that the creature didn't seem to have any skin. It looked like an anatomy diagram with just muscles and bones. (Huh maybe it really was a demon.) But because I was lucid, I wasn't at all bothered by its appearance. It didn't act like a demon though. I for some reason snapped back into more proper lucidity, but falsely remembered that I had a dream goal of creating a gas giant that earth would now orbit. I remembered that this creature would become the core of the gas planet. It asked me to select some flowers from around the area to help provide it information about what the planet should look like. I picked some random flowers. The field that the bike trail went through had seemingly endless variety and color of flowers. The dream seemed to skip that part, though, because the next thing I remember was handing the being (I think the monstrous looking planet maker had moose antlers now). "Are you sure these are the colors you want?" (The creature had a gruff, gurgle voice like you might expect from a monster, but at the same time, I could tell it was nice.) "Yeah" The creature jumped off into the sky and exploded. It created an absolutely beautiful gas planet with sky-blue bands rotating one way and brownish orange bands rotating the other. I remember it had a huge blue storm like Jupiter's great red spot that I could see rotating. -+- I was working with Spellbee2 on the next Lego video game. We went into the bathroom together to wash up since both of us lived at work because we had such long hours. I remember he was perplexed by how to get these lego parts to connect when they had 3 connector studs on bottom and four on top. I remember I asked him to show me the parts and the moment he put the legos in my hands I became lucid, since I keep on dreaming about legos. I remember I used lucid magic to add a fourth connector stud on top and make it work. Spellbee was blown away by this.

I was visiting my family. I arrived and everything seemed normal, except that they were in the city where we all used to live before I moved to another state, it's a calm, sunny, tropical place. We were all happy and excited to be together (I get to visit them every year or two). We spent the day doing normal family stuff, and later on my father told me to use his motorcycle to go on a ride, see some friends, or whatever. I got on the bike and thought of seeing some old friends in that town but I got too caught up on the road, going everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Later at night when I was on my way back, there was a sudden flash of brightness, it wasn't just in fron of me, it was everywhere, all around, so I had to slow down, and right after that, something happened to the motorcycle and it broke down in the middle of a big avenue. Since it was dark and I didn't have any tools, I wouldn't be able to fix it right away, so I just left it on the sidewalk and locked it then walked to my parent's house. I got there when everyone was asleep so I had to be quiet. I was tired from all that happened the night before, and I figured I could get up as soon as the sun started coming out, grab some of my father's tools and try to fix it myself, either way it must've been something really simple and with enough light and time I should be able to get it going with ease. I was getting there and I received a call from my father, asking where I was and etc, I explained and he said he'd go take a look at it himself, and that we could go get some food after. I agreed. And this is where things start to get weird. After a few minutes, again I got a call from him, saying that he was just around the corner, in the car and with the rest of my family, which is mom and my three sisters, and that the car had broken down too, then the call started fading away, cutting off. I saw him walking down the street and we took a look at the bike, but no luck, after a while, we noticed there was something very strange around, it was already at least about 8:00am and there were no other cars passing by, no people walking, no businesses opening, no noise whatsoever. We decided to leave the bike and walked a few blocks down to where the car and the rest of my family were. Everyone had noticed the unlikely calmness of the day, and the absenceof people. We tried calling anyone, friends, relatives, even the police, but the cellphone reception was getting worse little by little, first it would give you a dial tone and cut off out of nowhere, then it would just make this loud, high-pitched sound and turn off. We weren't talking much about the whole thing, trying to have faith in a rational explanation for whatever was going on. We kept on walking. It had been at least an hour and still no sign of anything around. We were around my grandparent's house and we decided to go check it out hoping they would be there or something. We got there and the whole house looked completely different, like it was turned into some big company's office, the windows were sealed, the garage door reinforced, we tried somehow looking inside but even the wall-fence around the house was taller now. We eventually gave up. We kept on walking. For hours straight. It wasn't funny or cool at all. I could see my parent's faces full of anguish, not knowing if we were safe, not knowing if we'd find anyone at some point, and when. !!! I had a lot on my mind too, I was stressing out about water and food, thinking about the possibility that the water would be contaminated, or not, and if it was going to be easy to get food, stuff like that. But we kept on walking. All day. The sun was starting to hide. And there, on a highway about 2-3 miles away from a set of the fancy type of houses, my phone started vibrating. All it said was 'keep going; you're almost there' and then it turned off again. We followed the road until one house became specifically noticeable. It was the only one with electricity in it. It had very dim yellow and soft purple lights on the inside. And between the silence, there was this noise gradually getting louder as we walked towards it (pause here, a few days ago I came across this, which describes the kind of noise pretty accurately: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSASzFWEa84). It sounded and kinda seemed like a party. The house looked expensive, the kind of house with a huge swimming pool and a terrace outside. People started to come out to the upstairs terrace then eventually some gathered outside the house too. They all seemed to ignore us. Then this guy came out from upstairs, with a gun on his hand, and started yelling something about himself owning everyone in that place. He looked a little under 30 years old, white, with short hair and a tattoo on one of his arms. People seemed to ignore him too. Then he started shooting anyone that was around him. He eventually came outside. He seemed covered in pure rage. The people around were screaming, some would try to crouch but they wouldn't run away, and the man would eventually reach up to them. He killed everyone at his “party”, some of them with a clean shot through the head or the chest, and some others with a few shots, first the legs then the rest of them even though they had dropped dead already. After killing all his guests, which were around 15 people, he was outside of the house and he stared directly at me for a moment, then put the gun in his mouth and killed himself. I was more than shocked. Right after that, all the lights in the place started turning off and eventually we went back to the road. I could barely think of anything else but the guy's stare, and how he viciously killed everyone there. It was completely dark by then and the dream just faded as we kept on walking.
I’m driving to church, when I somehow take a wrong turn and end up at the church’s “old location” - apparently they moved and got replaced by a different church. This new church has a huge banner saying “Golf Church”, and the service is actually being held in the parking lot. I try to turn around, but the pastor and the congregation start heading over to my car and surround it. I definitely get a cult-like vibe coming from their actions, but I get out of the car anyway. The pastor shakes my hand and takes me over to the side of the parking lot, where some people are teeing up to play golf. I end up having a DEILD of sorts (I’m still not entirely sure if it was a FA or not, but meh, a lucid is a lucid). I’m supposedly in my dorm room, even though the layout is all wrong. I’m in the top bunk, so I jump over the railing and float down to the ground. For some reason, I’m still in competition mode, and try to think of what to do to score the most points. There’s a dresser blocking the door out, but still try to pull the doorknob to open it (my arm kind of stretches to reach the doorknob, a bit like Mr. Fantastic). I yank on the doorknob, and the door hits the dresser, causing it to start to fall over on me. I make myself phase through it as it falls, and so I’m unhurt as it hits the ground. I head out the door and end up in this back alley, where there’s a ton of construction going on. I try to fly, but it doesn’t work, and for some reason I remember that there’s a special hat I have to wear in order to fly. I see it on top of a traffic cone nearby, but there’s a construction worker standing near it, and I don’t want him to see me steal it. I walk up and start a conversation, hoping to distract him. “Um, you’re the guy in charge, right? There’s a guy over there that did something that you should probably check out.” I point behind him to a guy standing by a door over 100 yards away. “Oh? What did he do?” he says, obviously seeming a bit skeptical. “Oh, you know, he was working without a hard hat. That’s against the rules, I’m pretty sure.” At this point, I’m positive my BS is showing. “You should probably go over there and yell at him for it.” “Really? Because I’ve been with him all day, and he definitely had his hat on. Come to think of it, where’s your hat at?” “Um, you know, it’s… uh… Aw, frick it, I’m lucid, I don’t need this.” I grab the hat off the traffic cone, throw it on my head, and fly away before he can even react. I have another questionably-real DEILD, but the transition feels awesome, like my body is slowly lifting off of the bed and my hearing turns into like a weird tunnel hearing, like the focus shifted from external sounds to internal sounds. I continue to float off the bed, until I can manage to roll over and set my feet on the floor. I end up having some conversation with my roommate for a while, until I have an FA. I’m back in my bed, excited that I just had a pretty cool lucid. I get up and walk over to the whiteboard by my desk, where I am apparently keeping track of all my lucids this year. I realize that this is a terrible system, especially since my roommate would ask me about it, but then I realize that I’m still dreaming. My roommate walks in at about this time, and I’m about to tell him something I already told him in my previous conversation, but then it hits me. “Wait, I’m lucid. What am I doing standing around talking to you?” I start to fly upwards again, but this time I wake up for real.
The dream started off with some star wars related stuff. I don't remember the story exactly but it seemed to be an alternate version of episode III. The major difference was that Anikin and Padme already had a kid. (Just one, not twins). Obi-Wan had uncovered Anikin's affair and they were fighting. The kid was scared by the adults arguing and ran away. The environment they were in was close to that city planet. Only there was a harbor/bay with an ocean in it. The Padme character said something about how everything good in their life might as well be in the bottom of that ocean. And they continued fighting. I materialized on the ocean. It was overflowing into the city. Supposedly the ocean was acidic due to pollution and it caused people to dissolve when the ocean began overflowing. Dream showed some rather disturbing imagery of that. I was standing on the surface and became lucid. I saw a big wave coming. Everything else started to go black, save for the water, despite the fact that it had been twilight a few moments ago. I saw the tsunami coming. I actually almost willed it into the dream. It was about average height for a tsunami dream. (Maybe 30 feet) I've had them as small as 8-10 feet and as high as a hundred or more. "Stop, you've plagued my dreams with fear long enough. What do you represent?" (Yes, I was expecting the wave to respond. But it didn't. It just kept coming towards me.) "Very well, if you don't represent any real fear of mine, then I should be able to do this." I stepped back into a fighting stance. The wave was almost upon me. I did like a karate chopping motion and split the wave to either side. The wave stopped. The entire wave began splitting down either side and quite literally exploding into a cloud of mist. The whole dream was filled with falling water, like rain from the huge wave exploding. Since it was supposed to be acidic I was worried, but I didn't allow it to hurt me. I was half expecting another wave to come that would be much bigger than the first. That's what happened last time I tried to confront this nightmare. But no second bigger tsunami came. I even tried to imagine what it would look like, encourage it. The giant wave from the planet in Interstellar came to mind. Just so I could show that wave who was boss once and for all. Nothing else happened and I lost the dream and woke up. I feel as though I'm not done here...

My dream recall is still lousy except for my little lucids that are so vivid as to be real or more than real. I awoke to find myself on a large bed with nice clean white sheets, it is a four poster bed. I am sprawled out on the bed and wonder where the hell am I, when I wake up in the dream. I realise I am dreaming and go to get up off the bed but find i am stuck. My wrists and ankles are bound to the bed by white silk ties Oo this is not disimilar to a dream I had before but did not record as it was to embarressing lol. I feel the presences of silky and sure enough I look up to see her looking at me, I am quite deliriously happy, and she is begins to belly dance. I am totally hypnotised by her every movement craning my neck up from the bed, as sh dances. As she dances my chest is filled with heat but more interestingly she seems to shimmer. And sure enough she is pulsing with some kind of aura or afterglow. As she moves my eyes are riveted to her every sinuess movement. The energy is starting to be thrown off from her in great swaths. I suddenly realise that the music filling the room is coming from her, as her every movement is not only in time with the music but it is vibrating to create it and I now can see the music as colours radiating from her body. She is so amazing, I start to cry feeling the warm, tears trickle down my cheeks. The energies intensify and roll off her in powerful waves slowly filling the room with colur and light, forming a 3d patchwork around her. The colours paint the walls of the room creating intricate artwork everywhere. She moves closer and says something but i am now so blissed out that I can barely make out the words, I am again in a warm bubble of golden syrupy energy. I feel safe I feel like I have come home again. I think I made out her words, she was mischeiviesous as ever. I wake up feeling warm and snuggly and don't want to get up at all I just want to stay with those feelings forever. The noises of people and the mundane world start to fill my awareness and I awaken thinking how strange the world is that it does not know what had come to pass. [comment] I noticed that the colours in the air were making the kandinsky combinations those they evolved further

After four days of false awakenings followed by really crappy frags I finally get myself back on track. I remember the early dreams had something to do with me being on this sand dune. It was absolutely huge. I was hanging out with this new friend that I had made. I think his name was josh. He reminded me a lot of my waking life friend A. Me and him decided to build a sand castle, but for some reason the sand dune was hard like it were made of sandstone. I could swear there was a lot more to this dream than us starting to build a sand castle. It also overlapped with some other dreams about how I met the guy. ... There was also a dream about this fairy character. I remember it was actually a 'he' despite having a very female looking body and had two options of what to do in life, to either become a demon or become this love fairy that was an embodiment of dualities. I carried out some quest and helped it to become the better of the two options. (Duality) Upon completing the quest, he became gigantic and walked off into a forest of pine trees while reminding me of some of my dream goals. ... I became lucid after being reminded that I had dream goals. I know there was more lucid stuff before this. I feel like it was a whole segment that ended in a FA, but me holding onto my lucidity somehow, then leading into what happened here. I just forgotten it. It makes logical sense that it was an FA. I remember I was going for a bike ride with my mom and dad. We had just left the house and there were two suns. I'm pretty sure I was already lucid, but this was helping. The larger of the two was due east while there was a smaller, normal sized one in the north. The larger of the two suns had debris around it in a ring. I looked at them. Small planets and asteroids, but I swear I saw a haunted pirate ship floating in the sky. We were riding for a bit when we came to this drainage pit. The pit was different than it is in waking life. There was no wooden fence around it. (There is IWL) and it was on the opposite side of the trail. I nearly rode my bike into the bottom of the pit, despite trying to steer away from it. I had to hop off and walk my bike back up, but the pit had a sort of gravity to it that would probably pull some hapless nonlucid dreamer into a slow struggle against swamp muck and their own bike. After I got out of the pit, I did a nose pinch for several seconds to reaffirm my lucidity. I then decided to ride my bike in the road, since it's something I've always wanted to do. But I needed a speed boost since the cars go much faster than I do. I used my flying flames to boost my bike to go faster. Riding in the road was fun, except for the cars intentionally trying to ram me and the dream essentially becoming lucid frogger for a second. At one point, I jumped off my bike and onto the hood of a car and rode it down the street. I saw there was this big conference setup outside, between the middle schools. All of these middle aged and elderly people were in attendance. "So as you all know the redistribution of legos is very important to the school's budget." One of the DCs spoke. He then went onto introduce the new head of security. I remembered Justme13's challenge and thought he might make a good opponent. I decided to get the attention of everyone and see if I could get him to attack me. I flew into the air and hovered above the conference. "As you can see, your education has nothing to do with legos, it has to do with your lucidi-tea." A giant orange and yellow teapot appeared to the left of the conference when I said that. I thought it would aggravate them into attacking me. It didn't, they all just cheered that I was flying. I got annoyed and figured if I wasn't going to get a skilled opponent, I should work on getting to a new and better environment at least. (I think I was thinking of the discussion I had on spellbee's thread about dreamscapes.) I decided I would fly away from the town to an environment that might not be that interesting, but at least it wouldn't be a middle school. I got up in the air and started flying. I flew past the football feild by the high school and the thing that I remember was that the dream wold was getting more simple. All of the sudden, it ended. It had an edge. Like the void in minecraft. I zoomed out and saw that the whole town was like a SimCity Tile floating in a void, with the greatest concentration of detail near the center. I decided I would fly up but I died and a message appeared like in Minecraft. "JadeGreen fell out of the world" I FA'd on the floor of the front room of my house. Nose pinched and was still dreaming. I decided I would dream spin to a beach location. I stood on my spot and started spinning. I didn't change the scene, just destabilized the dream. I FA'd agian into my bedroom. I did a nose pinch RC and became lucid. I started to get out of bed and noted that there were piles of legos I FA'd a third time I think this time the room was painted blue with stars like when I was younger. I did a nose pinch RC and became lucid. I FA'd a fourth time into my bedroom. There was a huge palm tree in a pot at the foot of my bed. I just knew it was still a dream, and red and white mushrooms growing out of the pot. I shouted 'STOP'. I woke up for real.
3 days of dreaming still waiting to be DJ'd including my beyond-epic nld on 4/27. Straining my memory to continue to hold it all but I just don't have 3 hours to get it all down. Lucid again FINALLY late morning on a sleep-in Saturday morning. Late to bed so that's good. Strong/long intentiion setting and slow getting to sleep initially at bedtime, maybe that helped? 4/27: super long night of super vivid dreams + swimming in frozen waters, radar, wife, cold, hypo + [alternate life level] walking AH hear traffic see "remembered" [FALSE] ocean wreck, wave-battered prison complex on coast , waterfall vertical tunnel, sightless people in cells, ice cream stand buxom girl, [becoming vague now] dirty black shorts on the bed, sex with some girl + long: company battle, two sides giving speeches against each other, walk out and back, the ground cover has changed 4/28: main dream: + at grandparents house walking around rooms, look out curtains see black/red/star government agents or thieves mulling around, gang of thieves steal nephew's motorcycle at my grandparent's house I run screaming after them and call 911 and thieves mock me. Walk in and back out and "recognize" the front yard and note changes and think briefly about them, I'm examining the "parking pad" I'm standing on and see a ramp, it's dark/twilight outside 4/29: most forgotten, recall weak +(f) my old dog L running in a field +(f) football, interception, running fast 4/30 + flaming sword: touch it with my hands and I will it to glow. The guy (my mythical father?) I'm supposed to kill also touches it and it flames brighter. It is an awesome looking sword, straight but with many ornamental narrower portions + football, playing on the field + knife fight, his longer/bigger than mine, stabbed in the back? Girl and roller skates, people are gathering money so she can buy them? + preparing for camping with DD in CH bedroom, how many shoes to take? One. Now, two: 1 good, 1 crappy. Then outside with DD. I see a vista of landmarks extending in an odd / interesting way before me., I "recognize" them. I'm telling him and visualizing about the "hike around the lake" I've taken before. [everything FALSE memories]. He's looking to pee, he pees in a phone booth? I say to use bathroom? + on the road (to the zoo?), radio interview with a state roadsign director, the world is flat black except for the pure white highway leading up on to an overpass, the guy is talking about how they'll be putting more signs + LD#182 I'm "awake" reviewing dreams listening to a girl sitting across the aisle from me describe my dream, I'm following along saying yes yes then I "enter" the dream and step up to her and I'm lucid, I think the review of dreams helps you get lucid [but I was clearly already dreaming from the start of this scene, perhaps a start-of-dream DILD?]I look at my hands briefly. The girl sitting in front of me at eye level is clear all else in background is fuzzy. Feel a bit unstable. Engage with sexy actions with her, take her sweater off and the scene transitions to a FA where I'm sitting on the bus and covering my eyes with a shirt to block out the light and trying to get back to sleep. + at the zoo bus arrives on steep hill I think about the bus's incline relative to the steepness of the hill and wonder how this could be. Everyone wants to go to the baby animal exhibits but my mom and I don't, but I'm concerned that she's so old and can't walk the distance required. The layout of the zoo is according to a map in "Gideon's Bible," so you can either get a zoo map or that bible and find that map in there. The baby animals in the normal exhibits have been moved/put away so the best opportunity is to go to the baby animal exhibits. Sitting on a bench with mom a girl sits in between us I notice her and think she may be uncomfortable between us as we talk. A man starts playing at a billiards table outside there are red and white balls just a few like billiards but the table has pockets like pool. While the guy is playing a singer begins singing: "Puff, the maaaagic draaaaagggooon, lived by the Seaaaaaa, and frollicke in the Autumn winds in the land called Honileeeeee" I think this is a sad song and wait for the sad part, but the refrain repeats again:"Puff, the maaaagic draaaaagggooon, lived by the Seaaaaaa, and frollicked in the Autumn winds in the land called Honileeeeee" (cadence notes this time). Turns into the end of a billiards competition where one guy hits the white cue ball towards the other side of the table because he doesn't like leaving the ball hanging around then his competitor makes an awesome shot from another cue ball on to the still-moving cue-ball and pockets it in the far left corner pocket, and then the ball he hits is heading towards the pocket as well but just misses it. The scoreboard is shown, each player has a few points on their line. Then at half-time some juggler/entertainer guys get up on the table (is it strong enough to hold them? will it bounce around?) and are wearing metal bicycle baskets on their waists and they pull these down and release them shooting something into the air. One juggler lies down on the table with a basket on his stomach and a baseball mitt falls open in the to basket and then a baseball falls into the pocket of the glove.
Ritual: Was working *really* inefficiently yesterday—took me almost eight hours to finish a 22 page article (one with lots of pictures, even!) because I kept looking things up and building my powerpoint at the same time. It was already after midnight before I started reading the 50+ page article (with almost no images) that I was also supposed to finish before bed, so I crapped out at 2:30am without getting it done. I woke at 8am and continued reading in bed, then napped again at 9am—so it became an inadvertant WBTB. Woke at 10:15 after this amazing dream, so I guess all the stress and angst paid off (though it is now 11:15am after writing up my account, and I am no closer to finishing that article! Yikes!) Earlier NLD: Some interesting features actually. I'm in what I take to be the sheriff's office of a small lakeside town. The building is rustic and wooden. I am one of the cops, a man like the others. They're all macho, gruff, with mustaches. I notice a small boat in the lake just off shore. Although it looks like an innocent fishing expeditiion, I have a definite premonition of what is coming next. I know that someone is lying prone in that boat with a gun pointed toward us, and there are other shooters positioned strategically nearby, and any minute now they're going to fire. I know my colleagues brought this on themselves so I leave them to their fate, diving into a side room and locking the door. There's a random guy in here so I tell him to get down, we're going to be under fire. Meanwhile I make use of whatever time I have left to arrange the furniture to better blockade us, turning the tables and chairs over so that we can crouch behind them like shields. All of this feels like it has happened before—not in the vague sense of deja vu, but a very concrete and specific way like when you replay an encounter in a video game. For this reason I know that if we just position ourselves correctly and keep our heads low enough, we'll make it through this. The bullets start flying. I feel one zing very close to the left side my body, provoking a strange vibration. Did it hit me? Not quite. My sense of repetition is so strong that after the bullets stop, I predict even before lifting my head that I will see a bullet hole in the lower right hand corner of the window behind me. I turn around and there it is, just as I had predicted (not so astonishing in a dream, after all, but I hadn't realized I was dreaming yet). I pull out my phone and snap a picture of it to document this remarkable event before going back outside. I decide the only sensible thing to do is slip out of town immediately, so I take a side path through someone's backyard. DEILD: Around this time the dream destabilizes enough that I become lucid. I wonder if I can restabilize and continue. I remember the principle I've devised for this: don't worry about visuals, focus on physical movement. Tactile integration is what is needed, then the visuals will re-establish themselves naturally. I dance my way back into full dream state. Now what? I remember my goal to continue with the TOTYs, and decide to try the Unicorn task. I set my will to summoning a unicorn and soon see a suitable animal galloping toward me down a lane that bisects the fields. This is no ethereal being, but a sturdily built strawberry roan that just happens to have a horn on its head. I found a picture online that gives a good sense of the coat color, only in mine the red hues were more pronounced across the top of its rump. After it reaches me, I realize I don't actually know how to climb on a tall horse bareback, so I command it to kneel so that I can get astride. Now we need to find a portal and travel to another land, but I had a plan for this: I've been wanting to visit the Wood Between the World. I canter the roan unicorn back down the path it came from, priming my expectations to see a pool of water as we round the corner. We get halfway around and I still don't see water, but I keep my anticipation high. There it is, after all! I didn't see it at first because it is a very small pond, not much more than ten feet across, but sufficient for my task. "The Wood Between the World," I murmur, imagining what it will look like as I canter up to the pool and have the unicorn jump in. Although I've done my best to maintain conviction, we splash into the pool and... now the unicorn is standing in water up to its knees. We haven't gone anywhere. This portal was a bust, so decide to look for another, passing a group of teenagers as I leave. I travel down the road until I find myself in what looks to be a luggage store room, like the kind you might find in a train station. The oddest thing is how familiar it looks: I have the distinct impression that I remember this place from an earlier dream this very night, but I can't tell if it is false memory or true. Nothing useful here, but as I leave I spot the group of teenagers again, and ride up to them. I ask if they know of any portals nearby. They mention the pool. "I already tried that one, but it didn't work." The kids confirmed that, yeah, they don't work anymore, the magic is too weak. But the magic may not be gone entirely—one kid points out that if you stand near the pool and the background music fades, you can still hear something. This brings my attention to the music. I hadn't been paying attention to it, but a song has been playing in the background all along since I became lucid, like a soundtrack. It is a woman singing in a foreign language—it reminds me of the second half of the song "Bjarkan" from Wardruna's album Gap Var Ginnunga, which would make sense, because that's the main thing I've been listening to lately. The kids can't think of any way to strengthen the portal magic, so I ask if they know of any other portals nearby. They point back across the field and tell me to look for a small shack. I ride over and find the door slightly ajar, so I go in. The door swings shut and clicks behind me—it seems to have automatically locked. Nevermind, I was planning to use this as a portal anyway. How do I pass through? Maybe I should stand here astride the unicorn and let the environment around us shift phase. I begin to try to reimagine my surroundings... but I am interrupted by a cry of alarm. It comes from a young couple, a boy and girl, who had apparently been making out in a sort of nook or loft halfway up the side wall of this shack. They are startled by my presence and furious when they discover that I have accidentally locked the door. "We'll die in here!" wails the girl. I look around. This shack wasn't built of terribly sturdy materials, I'm sure we can find a way out, even if we have to dismantle it. Distracted by the unexpected crisis, I forget about portalling and even forget that a locked door should be no barrier to me as a dreamer. "This wasn't designed as a prison, we'll find something." I reassure them. I look around carefully and notice an opening halfway up the side wall in one corner. It's six or seven feet up: all we have to do is climb to it, then jump over a gap of a few feet to the low flat roof of an adjacent shed. I dismount and give the girl, Sarah, a boost to help her climb up. Next I go to help the boy, Tom. His head is now attached to a long pole, like a broomstick, instead of a body, so this is easy: I pick up the pole and pass it through the opening to Sarah. Now my cat is here for some reason and also needs rescuing, but there is a paper grocery bag handy, so I put the cat in the bag and try to hand that across to Sarah. Suddenly uncooperative, Sarah threatens to dump my cat out of the bag. I am flabbergasted. Why would she suddenly turn against me? "But I showed you the way out and helped you!" I protest. Sarah and Tom are unsympathetic; it is clear that they feel no obligation to return the favor. My annoyance reminds me what I am capable of. After all, there was another way this task could go—that wasn't how I planned to do it, but now that I've been provoked, maybe that's how this will play out. I look back at the door, remembering the classic "Knock" spell from D&D. "Unlock," I command, pointing at the door, and the latch obediently clicks open. I get back on the unicorn and walk calmly out. Tom and Sarah, who have just climbed down from the shed, are astounded to see this. They are even more shocked when the unicorn gores Sarah through the chest with its horn, tossing her body aside like a limp rag. Tom watches in horror, and then his turn comes. Despite my scruples about killing, once I felt that these DCs had justified it by their treachery, I dispatch them without hesitation or remorse. Instead, I find myself wondering if my unicorn will be transformed by this dreadful act—I was envisioning something like the "bog unicorn" in Dragon Age: Inquisition—but it remains a roan horse with a spiral horn protruding from its head. Okay, apparently now I'm committed to the murder version of the task, so I need a third victim. [Note: I was mistaken about this; the task only required two.] I remember that earlier in the NLD I had encountered some unpleasant people in town, so I ride back in that direction. On the way, I see a number of people working outdoors. I reflect how easy it would be to pick one at random... but that would be wrong. I can't just run up to a random DC and spear them, unprovoked. I do try to maintain *some* ethical standards. The people working outside resemble medieval peasants. Actually the whole scene has become more medieval in appearance. Just past the peasants I see the remnants of an old ruined stone structure, reduced to its foundations and a few half-standing walls. Congregating around it are men that I take to be warriors. They have brown or red hair, some balding, and many flaunt long beards decorated with bands and beading. I ride up without attracting any attention. What if I just pick the most evil one? "Show me a rapist," I instruct the dream. Surely among a band of what appear to be tribal warriors from some feudal period there must be no shortage of those, given that it was a standard aspect of warfare in many early societies. So I'd better be more specific: "Show me the worst one." The results are inconclusive: I look over the men again and there is no clear candidate. I recall D&D includes a spell that can be used to check alignment. Maybe I can frame it this way? I instruct the dream to reveal the most evil person by making them glow. Now I see one: the glow surrounds a burly guy with his back to me, looking out over the water. He has short brown hair shaved into a distinctive flat line where it meets his neck, and his head is bare on top, either bald or shaved. As I approach, he moves away and I lose sight of him, the glow fading. I study the crowd but since I only saw the guy from behind at a distance, it is hard to be sure which one he is. I don't want to pick the wrong guy. I attempt to cast the spell again, but now the glow seems to be targeting someone else. While trying to sort out this confusion, I spy something across the field, even better—no, perfect! It is a jousting tournament! The jousting is already under way, but I ride up and boldly demand to enter the lists. The organizers comply without too much fuss. But I also have demands to make about my opponent: "I wish to find the most immoral among the contenders." Meanwhile, the more honorable among the knights point out that without a saddle I will surely be unhorsed. Worse, without the protection of armor or a shield, the lance will surely pierce and kill me. I shrug off their objections, thinking that without saddle or armor maybe I can do some stunt riding and duck down to the side, avoiding the lance entirely. After all, my intention is not to strike my opponent with a lance—my unicorn's horn must fulfill that function to complete the task. I continue to insist that I be matched against the most immoral of the prospective opponents. There is some debate about who that should be. A man wearing ecclesiastical robes and a cross seems to be the top choice, which makes sense given everything I've heard about the medieval church. I realize that this is all taking a very long time and add to my demands: "Also, I demand to go next!" The organizers comply with this too. My bout is set up. But I'm not entirely happy with what I see. Facing me at the other end of the lists is a tall black woman on foot, wielding a club in each hand. This isn't what I had in mind: she is not even a jouster! And I sense that she is clearly not the right match: did they assume she was immoral from a medieval sense of racism or xenophobia? Or is she immoral in the fun kind of way, a free-spirited woman who lives large? Either or both seemed likely. This wasn't what I was looking for. If I have to dispatch someone, I prefer that they be genuinely evil. "No, this is not the right opponent!" I protest. "I mean, who is the most immoral to the people?" There is no response at first. I have the impression that people are intimidated from replying aloud, so I ride up close to the audience in the stands and ask again. Listening closely, I hear a whispered name: "Lüsswig." I ride along the stands and the whispers of "Lüsswig... Lüsswig..." are unmistakable, repeated everywhere by people trying to speak anonymously under their breath. I return to the center of the lists and announce: "I shall fight Lüsswig!" Lüsswig turns out to be a guy wearing a long grey cloak with a hood that is closed in the front, completely covering his face. He removes the hood, revealing himself to be a man with short dark brown hair and full cheeks covered with several days worth of stubble. A smug, sinister smile spreads across his face at the prospect of the coming match. [Note: I've spent a long time trying to figure out who Lüsswig resembled, and the best I can come up with is a badly shaven Jonathan Frakes.] "Yes, this is a better choice," I declare. His glee is slightly unnerving—he clearly thinks he will best me. I mentally prepare myself by deciding that it must be his destiny to die by unicorn. We take our places at opposite ends of the tilt and... I can feel the dream fading... oh fuck fuck I was so close... hold it together, surely I can... no, I'm in my body, in my bed, it's gone. Lüsswig you bastard... I guess you win after all. I can only assume this will augment Lüsswig's dastardly reputation. Stories will spread of the mysterious unicorn rider who disrupted the jousting tournament, arrogantly demanding to fight the most evil of men, but then fled the moment she realized was it was Lüsswig! Notes: So close! So very very close to completing the unicorn task! I could have finished easily had I taken the practical (but vicious) route and chosen a third victim at random. But no, I had to be honorable and look for someone who *deserved* it... Oh! Oh! I just looked up the terms of the task. For once I misremembered the details to my benefit—I thought I needed to murder three DCs, but now I see it was only two. So I did it after all! And then my mistaken conviction that I needed a third actually led to some pretty cool extra scenes.

Non-Lucid= My dreams were really jumbled today for some reason. The last one was really confusing. Me & a bunch of women were all around a Perplexis Game Ball. Instead of the metal ball inside of it that you use to navigate the maze while you turn the ball, there was sperm going through it & we were all hoping to get it somehow. Yup, that is so weird! I was so confused. So weird.
Laying in bed, my eyes open and I do a reality check by looking at my right hand in front of me. Something still feels strange about the situation, so I do a nose-plug and breath. I'm fully aware I'm dreaming, and I get up but for some reason have a difficult time with the gravity in the dream. I think critically to myself that 'this is a dream, just get up!'. I realize that I am in a room strongly resembling my childhood room at night time. I look left and decide not to go down the darkened hallway as I am more interested in the natural environment outside and possibly changing the dream scene. I make my way over to the window, yet have a tough time flying for some reason and feel a bit frustrated, yet I grab on to the windowsill, propel myself out and I finally start flying. Flying is pretty easy at this point, and I make my away along scattered shrubbery to a body of water resembling a pool. I take in the surroundings which are at the dead of night. The environment is filled with bushes, hedges, and trees. This area looks very similar to my childhood backyard. I start to work my memory to remember dream goals and start working on them. I shout out to the dream to help me build my lucid abilities. I then try to remember part II of my goals as I look toward the dark trees at the far edge of the area. I begin to shout to the dream to ask how to become lucid more often, but the dream cuts out midway through this question. I find myself talking to a co-worker about a crazy lucid dream I just had starting with an interesting FA experience .
6.40-7.12am Medium LD #401 Something is wrong with my phone. It keeps playing the wrong video or music. Then I see that the curtains have been stuck out of the windows which are now closed, meaning the fabric is on the outside. I open the windows and pull the curtains back inside. While doing this my partner's car pulls up on the driveway so I rush downstairs to open the front door. Back inside the front room there is a game going on. I collect dice that are scattered on the floor. In a corner of the room is a d10 that is glowing bright white. Dice of power! Alright. I walk through into another room and someone attacks me. I reveal the dice of power clutched in my hand and they back off. Also, in my other hand, a blue triangular stone with a spiral inscribed on it has appeared. This makes me lucid and after a moment inspecting my hands and arms I look around seeing my sister and another DC. The only exit is a window. At first the glass is solid and resists any attempt to pass through it but after some effort it starts to stretch like molten plastic. Outside is a garden with a street at the far end. JR and a couple of other DCs are walking along it. Remembering the task of the year I call out for a goat. From the rocks and bushes at the side of the garden a rather small brown goat tumbles out. It bleats and picks itself up unsteadily. I check it is solid and can feel its coarse hair. "Now unleash the Chimera!" I gesture at the goat and tranform it. It grows to 3m tall and its body turns more lion like while its head and face become an angry predatory bird with a hooked beak. There's no one here though. "Attack!" I command the Chimera while spinning around and seeing some DCs further up the garden. The Chimera leaps up onto the rocks and the DCs panic. "Use your lightning powers!" The Chimera becomes covered in an aura of flashing blue lightning that electrocutes several DCs that fall to the ground. "Use fire breath!" The Chinera spins around and unleashes a flamethrower style gout of flame that incinerates a man running towards it. "Use your poison tail." The Chineras tail whips out and stabs a man in the chest. He staggers and falls down. The dream is starting to destabilise though... noooo... Before the final part can be completed the dreams fades. I stay perfectly still and DEILD back in. The reformed dream has me lying in bed though. Something in my mouth feels loose and I pull out a weird metal bracket. I'm still semi-lucid and trying to get back on track. There is a computer screen near the bed, so I use that to try and control the dream. The Chimera is on screen waiting, like a computer game. I'm about to send it off attacking enemies again when I realise the first part about transforming a goat... so I attempt to turn it into a goat and it shrinks into some weird little squid thing. Uh... The next attempt has it become a large cartoonish goat, in fact the graphics for the entire dream become 'warcraftish'. A DC tries to distract me by asking something but I ignore them. Waving my hands and chanting some magical made-up words I tranform the goat into my Chimera monster again. It has a similar form to before but more cartoony in fitting with the whole dream. This time the Chimera is under my telepathic control. Waves of enemies with swords and spears start charging in so I use lightning and flame breath kill them. The Chimera is perfectly under my control and breathes out an ice cloud that solidifies two more DCs. "Smash the ice!" Dutifully the Chimera raises up onto its hind legs then smashes down on the frozen figures with both front paws. Oh yeah poison tail... last one. The Chimera has a long lions tail but it is whipping around and is easy to imagine as a snake. It buries its fangs in one DCs neck but now the Chimera and myself have merged into one being and the enemies are swamping me. The crush of numbers starts to destabilise the dream and I wake up.
Had a dream that I was living in some sort of post-apocolyptic world, and my sister (plus the two teenage boys in my group) needed gf/bfs. I remember going out and trying to find survivors so that we could find them companions then Everything went kinda black. Dream skip Instead of one of the boys finding a companion he chose to become my companion. (sorry for the lack of detail I remember very little) I just got done hugging the guy and I remember two guys laughing at him (I believe they were gay) "Oy, the great schemer has linked up with a white boy." "You forget we are like two siamese cats in the prescence of a great persian:" Proceeds to laugh and mockingly bow. Shaking my head I remember walking away while smiling.
I was a thief... I lived in city that looked like ancient Bratislava... there were rails for wagons pulled by horses... Streets were made of coble stones... I had stolen things for living... small things. It wasn't comfortable life. I seemed to like to provoke policemen to try to catch me. I liked those runs... feelings of danger... policemen didn't like me and they shout at me that they will catch me very soon. Yet, I was very fast. I was running and all but one young policeman were left far behind. I was running, my long hair was flowing behind me, fluttering because I ran so fast... then I started to wonder... how it is possible that I dont feel tired? This is a dream! I enjoyed the run even more after that realization. That young raven haired policeman was very sympatic to me, I felt to be attracted to him (not sexually, I'm not bend that way, yet there was something on him...) I told him that there is a slope downwards, that we should accelerate our run... We laughed as we ran. But there was no slope downward. It was something like very deep water well... circular, with walls made from coble stones like the street. And we fell into it. A few tens of meters. As I was falling my legs were runing in the air, till I submerged into dirty water on the bottom of well. I surfaced right beside policeman. There was ladder close to me. I helped him to that ladder and we climb up. I waked up after that. Remarks It was very nice run. I felt so light... I obtained lucidity in the middle of dream, yet I decided to run, since I liked it so much. Dream looked like it was set into at least 100 years into past, maybe 150... but policemen had present time uniforms... but no weapons.
