Lucid Dreams
I finally had my 4th lucid dream! It was probably the best yet. Here it is: I was in some super market kind of place. It was jammed full of food, and there was also a restaurant with barbecue wings, I think. One of my brothers was there and I was talking to him about stuff (I can’t remember what.) I then did a reality check, though I was not expecting it to work, but it did. I gazed around the market, and observed the details. It was much more vivid than any of my other LDs—I was so happy! I explained to my brother that this was all a dream. He shook his head and said “You’re crazy.” I decided that I was wasting my time, so I looked around and saw a bucket of chicken wings. I walked towards it and picked a small one out to try. It tasted great, but just than everything was gone and it seemed I was transported into a different area. It was all sunny outside and everything looked wonderful. There was a small bridge with a roof going over it, and there was a road and lots of grass. I was delighted and went across the bridge. I then espied a snake in the distance. As I came closer to it I noticed its bottom half was missing, and it didn’t seem to be alive, so I continued on. I didn’t realize earlier, but my brother was still with me. We continued walking. I took the time to gaze around and identify my surroundings. Up ahead was a building. As I sprinted towards it I noticed that there were a lot of people there. I went up to a short older woman with frizzy hair. “Do you know what’s going on here, Ma’am?” I asked. She turned to me and said. “There’s a contest being held here, join if you’d like.” “What kind of contest?” I asked, but then everything was gone and I was again in a different area. This new place looked to be some kind of hotel. There was a mirror on the yellow wall, and a baby in some sort of cage. I tried to get the infant out of the cage but it disappeared when I attempted to do so. I did a quick reality check, just because, and I then looked into the mirror. It was me, down to the last detail. I was so happy and I thought to myself: everything is realistic, this is great! But, sadly, just then I felt myself waking up, for some stupid reason I didn’t think of trying to stabilize, silly me.
I had a series of weird dreams last night...mostly frags and images. Woke up...WBTB'd....had one more....forgot what it was, but shortly after, I was in SP. I couldn't move an inch...it was the real deal. Well time to stay relaxed and ride it out. I felt the usual sinking feeling I get during the transition after a few minutes, and nothing happened. WTF...I opened my eyes....I was in my room. My eyes were barely cracked open and I could see the window with light poking in. I'm pretty sure this is just a FA. I did a quick nose pinch RC....no pressure. I did one several more times just to make sure....Okay we're good, it's go time. I headed outside and was immediately met by distractions. The first one was the fact that I was naked. I shouted three commands: residual shirt, residual shoes, residual pants. Each one, worked perfectly. I checked the souls of my shoes because they were almost feeling like feet....and then the feeling subsided. And now the kid next door is following me, and I come up to something that looks like a dog house is being built in my back yard. He wont shut up, and I hear all kinds of music, and I don't know if it's coming from WL or what, but I gotta get the eff out of here. I tried creating a portal several times and failed. something strange happens at this point...because there's a total lapse in recall....either due to the length of the dream, changing of rem phases, or something else. I'm in an office/library there's tables and people everywhere, and the walls are lined up with books. I have probably a shred of lucidity, but I'm still calling out for Kaomea. She answers on the second shout "I'm over here Auron". I looked to my right and there she was...wearing a white sheer dress. It looked like something out of a movie. We were both going in for a hug, and just then, D and this random DC...tall, skinny asian guy came up to her. She said something like "don't call me by my real name".....and I found that odd...I don't know it, and I didn't use it. I asked her "where the hell have you been"? I can't remember what she said, but all of a sudden D and the random dude started moving in closer. Kissing her...lowering her down to the ground. One of the guy's starts trying to lower the top of her dress, and I see that she has a tatoo on the upper part of her left breast. It's a triangle with the eye of horus on it.......WTF!? Something doesn't seem right, and lucidity starting to kick back in. I get a good look at her, and she seems...kinda out of it. Me: Do you want this to happen? Her: No Me: well then what the fuck!? I grabbed both of them and threw them into book cases several feet away. They moved back in. The Asian guy swung at me, and I ducked it while preforming a sweep kick on D at the same time. He went down quickly, and while I was standing back up, I hit the Asian guy with with a series of punches and elbows....I'm not sure what happened to him....but that was the last I saw of him. I turned my attention to D, and he's furious. Him: You just want her for yourself. Me: No, but I did want to see her...what the hell are you trying to do anyway? Him: What's it look like? Me: *pointing at his wife* Well your wife is over there...why don't you use that pent up anger on her. She calls out his name, and he completely ignores her while rushing at me. He took a swing at me, and I grabbed his fist when it was a few inches away from my face and said to her "this may get messy". She ran off, and I threw over several bookcases. I could hear him landing through a couple of tables by the time I got there. He gets up...breathing hard....and I'm thinking damnit, I hope this isn't a strong DC. I got on the defensive block, parry and dodge all of his attacks, and finally threw a punch. He got laid out by that one....good. He got up and picked up a surfboard and tried to hit me with it...he was better off hitting me with wet newspaper. The board folded when it touched me, and I didn't feel anything except the breeze that came off of it. I grabbed the board away from him, folded it in half horizontally and then in thirds vertically. It looked like a big gray 8-bit bat. He rushed me one last time, and I hit him so hard with it, it turned into a little star...that turned into a paperclip. It spun several times around before hitting someones desk. And people started saying "new bank", "new bank", "new bank", as a couple of people left. I asked one of the DC's what it meant, and she said that's what happens when someone leaves the company and we might need to reference that person......um, okay, the dream ended.

Thoughts Lucid Non lucid Edit: There was a almost DILD dream before my WBTB. I am at my ex-in laws house to pick up my daughter. She wont come. I feel so sleepy that I end up on a hidabed trying to sleep. Then I remember that I dream of this sometimes. I think about it some and almost get it but. Instead it was enough make me remember how I dislike these people and I don't want to be here. I go get my daughter from other room and make her come. Pick her up and she starts crying and says she doesn't want to go to my house. The alarm wakes me up. LUCID Zombie Bite TOTM 4:00AM I wake up at 3:22AM go to bathroom. Lay back down. I was going to attempt WILD but first I wanted to try VILD. I was so sleepy that forgot VILD so I still dont know how that works all though I did VILD just before falling alseep. I am not sure what happened here. I think maybe there was a slight SP sensation but I just can't remember for sure. I found myself just thinking I was having hypnagogic hallucinations. I started visualizing myself in motion. I actually do this a lot with HH to try to stimulate and form a dream. This time it payed off. I am walking down 20th street in my town in the daytime. I am really close to my house. I take slow deliberate steps. I can hear the my feet crunch and scrape on gravel. I think how vivid this all is. I look at my hands. They look normal for the most part but are hard to focus on. I continue a slow zombie like walk paying attention to every detail while studying my hands. For a while I am not sure If I am in the dream yet. I give it a little longer before I am satisfied. I stop and look around. I say, "God Damn. I did it. Then I think, "OK now don't get too excited. It's no big deal." The dream is still kind of weak and feels like it is fading. I rub my hands together some and It feels and sounds totally real. I think of the non-sp DEILD I had the other day and this confirms it was in fact a dream. I note that and continue. I walk onto 20th street it is usually busy. It is getting dark now I see no cars. I jump once just for fun because I was reading flying LDs from DJs before bed. I kind of wanted to just fly but I remember TOTM so I just jump up about 10-20 feet and land hard and solid in road. Now I see cars coming. I think, "OMG I wonder what getting hit by a car would be like in a lucid dream." I step in front of cars. All I can see of the cars is head lights. I hear a faint car horn and Doppler effect as the car gets near me. I am a little surprised when the car just passes right through me. I wonder if I am actually astral projecting myself into the road.I play with this for a while and let several cars pass through me as I cross the street. Every time I get a strange wind sensation that goes through my body. I should mention this whole time the dream is trying to fade and I am really concentrating to notice every visual detail in stabilize. So, I start to feel like I need to hurry to get the TOTM done. I see a house with an open basement like garage facing the road. This house does not exist here in real life. I remember that expectation is everything in a dream. I so tell myself that there is a zombie in there. I walk toward it. I just can't help it. I call out really loud, "ZOMBIEEES?!" I notice how funny my voice always sounds when I get loud. I become slightly amuzed at this. I notice that I go back to my slow zombie walk for a while. Maybe because it just because I am thinking of zombies. One more car passes through me and get that odd sensation. The dream shifts a little because and I almost wake up I was not expecting to get hit. I had to really concentrate again to stay in the dream. Instead of the garage. I ended up in the front yard. I see very large shovel with a shiny blue head on it. It is stuck in to the ground next to a blue wheel barrel. I hurriedly take the shovel because I am still expecting zombies. I hear a zombie growl behind me. I think that it is going to bite me in the neck and I don't want that. I turn around and face it. I cant see detail. Its more like the zombie had a light source behind it and I can't see its face at all but that does not take away from the realism. I can see he was wearing blue jeans and a blue flannel shirt. (whats with the blue?) I quickly decide that what I really wanted was a large, sharp pair of hedge shears. The shovel turns in to just that. I reach up and clip the zombies head off. I hear a loud, wet squishy, gushing sound and his head pops straight up and into the darkness. I watch fascinated as dark blood sprays from its neck. Then I want a shovel again and the shears oblige. The zombie is still walking somehow and I hit it in the chest and it falls over. I see another one now and I with out thinking I stab the end of the shovel into its throat. Then there is a third in my face to my left. I remember that I don't want to kill all the zombies so I drop my shovel. This is how the Zombies looked but with no hair. I do kind of puss out here because I am actually creeped out by the zombies. I force myself to relax a little.I hold my right index finger out to the zombie. Still the same with the lighting here but I see it open its putrid and mouth. I see strings of dark matter on its teeth. I tense up as the zombie takes a bite of my finger. There is no pain just pressure. I feel faint and sick and I collapse to the ground. I wake up. I really should have tried to DEILD just for shits and giggles but I was afraid I would fall non lucid and forget this dream. EDIT:I forgot to mention that I had several glasses of wine last night. One glass of homemade honey mead. It was strong so I went to homemade red wine. I drank half a bottle of that. It was all stretched over a 4hr period. I became thoroughly sleepy from that and a being slightly sleep deprived from the night before. So there may have been a slight REM rebound here.

I am in my room with my sister. I'm not sure what we're talking about, but suddenly I notice a huge hole in the wall that leads to the street outside my house. My sister stands up, goes there, and jumps out into the street. I think this is strange and get lucid. I get up and go after my sister. I see her in the distance, with a neighbor grilling some barbeque. My sister looks at me and says, "This is so weird. Is this a dream?" I tell her yes. I told her that in this dream, we can control everything. I put my hand on the grill, and it feels warm, but doesn't hurt. I then proceed to remove the grill and grab the coals with my bare hands, all the while convincing myself it won't hurt. It doesn't. "See?", I tell my sister. I suddenly remember the task of the month, which is to replace my head with a pumpkin. I also remember trying it the previous night, and failing. I part ways with my sister, who seems to be delighted after finding out it's a dream. I walk along the street, imagining pumpkins popping up everywhere. They do. But most of them are already carved, so I grab one, close my eyes briefly, and imagine it turning into an uncarved pumpkin. Success! I grab a small cutter (which I conveniently find on the ground) and proceed to carve the pumpkin. I cut out big eyes, and an even bigger smile. Now comes the exciting part: removing my head. I had some ideas on how to do it, but never really tried yet. I reach around the back of my neck and grab a small, metallic protrusion. I pull it, dragging it across my neck until it circles and goes all the way around. I can hear the ZZZZZZZZZZP. Yep, I just unzipped my head. I close my eyes push my head off. It goes off easily. I feel around me and grab the pumpkin. I then put it on, push it down (I hear a squish), and I open my eyes. My vision is really....huge. Like everything is in panoramic view. My facial muscles feel strange too. I figure it must be because of the huge smile I carved. My face is stuck that way, and I can't even blink. I feel my head and it feels weird, because I have no hair. Lol. just a slight protrusion at the top of my head, which must be the pumpkin stem. I poke the eyeholes, and it feels legit, like I really poked my eyes. I put my hand in my huge mouth, and there's nothing inside. Feels weird too. I turn around, planning to walk and explore, but I see my head on the ground. It looks really strange. It has its eyes closed tightly, as if it is anticipating something. I kick it. And it rolls away. I start walking down the street, and eventually fly a few meters up until I lose lucidity and wake up.
i think i know the formula well my formula for lucids. i listen to deadmau5s "alone with you" and i have a lucid draem. granted i believe i can have a lucid. and this one was really cool. i was in some other world and realized i was lucid so got a lil excited but started rubbing my hands together and grounding myself in the dream . then my body started flowing towards this light of sorts i couldn't see but i new i was naked with my arms stretched out towards the light. it was like a dark light that had these deep glowing colorsa nd i remember i said somthing to myself like "i am lucid" annd it was really just trippey and cdhill.
IT HAPPENED!!! After reading quite a bit of past experiences on DV and remembering some of the techniques used by fellow dreamers, I decided that I was tired of letting things be. I tried the Repeating word technique* (I know there's another name but adding the word technique at the end of what you’re doing makes it sound cool So any way, I'm getting ready for bed telling myself "I'm gonna wake up in my dream, I'm gonna wake up in my dream." I continue to say this while I'm lying down with my eyes closed and continue to say it until I stop I guess. Next thing I remember is waking up and having to go to the bathroom and I do, except right in the middle of me going number one, like right in the middle of it, I wake up! Two things hit me 1) WTF!!! 2) I gotta take a leak. While I'm taking a leak I'm thinking to myself. "I'm pretty sure I was dreaming the first time I did this." I have confirmed that this technique works. Before I even heard the term lucid dream I was using this technique to wake up at certain times in the morning. Having to be at work around 7am meant I had to wake up at 6am. So right before I went to sleep I would repeat the phrase, "I'm going to wake up at 6am." Sure enough without a hitch I wake up SECONDS before my alarm goes off. Repeating what you want to dream about right before your sleep is a damn good beginner technique. LucidLegend Approved! ;D
I can't really put all the pieces together. I tried to WILD last night. A whole slew of lucid dreaming things happened including a lucid that I barely remember, a false awakening, and two additional non lucid dreams. Let me start with the least interesting and work my way up. Suicide The first dream entailed me and my mother. We decided that we were going to "Go die" so we had dug two holes in the ground and acquired some coffins. Then my mother said that she was going to carve a death note into an Ipad. She asked me if she could use my Ipad instead of hers. Then she got an exacto knife and started carving a message into the screen about why we had decided to die/commit suicide. We went outside, and got into our coffins. I'm not entirely sure why, but I decided to get back out and have second thoughts about committing suicide. I was just standing in the drive in front of our house, and started talking to myself about the decision to commit suicide. The my mother got out of her coffin and decided that she didn't want to do it either. Then I told her that I needed to get a new Ipad since she scratched a death note into the screen. Deathmatch Another video game dream. Halo reach this time. It has been strange to me that video game dreams have stepped up their game and gotten alot more interesting and vivid recently. (Also strange because I haven't played Halo reach in almost a year now.) I was literally a spartan. Not like controlling it or anything, like you normally would in a game, but my body was actually a spartan. But the game was still playing out normally. We were on this strange map that was sort of like a junkyard, with a dingy orange lighting to it. The game started and I started looking for a way to help a the team. I saw a scorpion tank that nobody seemed to be using. I got in and looked back the direction that I had spawned. A wraith pulled between me and the direction that I had spawned. I fired and killed it. Then a bunch of enemy players started swarming around my tank with energy swords. They were jumping around, trying to avoid getting shot. I realized that they were going to board my tank, so I bailed out. When I got out, I took out my own energy sword and got into the fight. (The use of swords (though energy swords) still coincides with swords being a dream sign for me.) Unlike real halo, it took two hits to kill someone with the sword, one to break their shields, and one to finish the job. I can also remember the electric effect of the sheild being very vivid and realistic. When fighting the first enemy, I broke his shields and killed him with two swift slashes. The second guy hit me from behind, breaking my shields. Our blades crossed and we pushed against one another. Then I killed him. The final enemy, who was like the leader got in. I hit him and broke his shield, but my sword ran out of charge after the first hit. I tried to melee him again, with the sword hilt. He stabbed me in the chest, and the dream painlessly faded away. Here are some images for the non-halo players to get an idea of what this looks like. Scorpion tank Energy sword Terraskating I seriously wonder about classifying this as a minor event. I will. I was running down this highway, though a city very fast. I was lucid, but my recall was worse than my lucidity, so I couldn't remember how I got lucid. Though I was lucid. I can remember thinking about how cool this was, my sixth lucid dream. I started to feel like my back was cold and wet. I false-awoke into my room and the window was open and all of this rain and wind was coming and and there was a violent thunderstorm happening outside. Annoyed, I closed the window and went back to "sleep" I'm not sure what to make of all these dreams. There was a lot of waking up involved last night, and I probably don't have them in the right order. I was on an extremely consistent sleep schedule the last few nights, going to bed just around 9:15. But last night, I didn't make it to bed until 10:00.

Non-Dream Dream Lucid I was not sufficiently prepared for this lucid as it took me a long time to fall asleep so I grew impatient and didn't complete my MILD thouroughly. But hey, it's a lucid so I can't complain! When I woke up I noticed my dad and my step mom were at my house. "What are they doing here?" I thought. I quickly realized they were here because I was dreaming. It looked like they were here to put up decorations for a party, presumably a birthday party for me as my birthday is in 4 days IRL. (I moved around too much during the recall process after the dream so I forgot all of what my dad and step-mom said.) "Am I dreaming?" I asked my dad. As I focused on his answer, the setting changed from my house to their house. "So, when's your birthday?" I asked my step-mom (simultaniously mocking her and testing my subconcious as I don't know her birthday) while hopping up and down 4 feet into the air trying to stabilize. She somehow evaded the question. I noticed the front door was open so I made a break for it. "Ta-ta!" I said. As I went outside the setting changed from their neighborhood to the neighborhood where I grew up. I flew around low to the ground, looking for something to do. I tried diving into the ground to change the scene but I wasn't going fast enough. As I grew a bit frustrated, my dream ended.
Lucid Dream and Task of the Month Yesterday I realized that it had been a long long time since I had done a Task of the Month. For years I used to complete those faithfully each month. So I decided that the next time I became lucid I would do one. I read over the Tasks and decided that the one I would like to try first was the "Carve a Jack-0-Lantern and replace my head with it" Task. So I woke up in the night last night and had trouble falling back to sleep. As frustrating as that was I told myself that at least the chance of me having a lucid dream was way up--if I ever could go back to sleep. And I finally did. I remember I was in a moving car, and to my horror I noticed that there was no driver. I was in the back seat and I tried to slip up to the front between the seats. I didn't have time to get into the driver's seat. I was coming up to an intersection and I had to get my foot on the brake NOW. I tried to reach, but I was still a little far away. My foot could touch, but it couldn't press down hard enough. My only chance now to avoid an accident was to turn the car to the right so I would miss hitting the car directly in front of me. My heart was beating fast and I couldn't believe that this was happening to me. Wasn't this something that usually only happened in dreams? How could I have let this happen in real life? Then it hit me. Maybe I was dreaming. It seemed unlikely since this all felt so real. But since this was a big dream sign of mine--and since I really hoped this was a dream, I decided that I would test things. I'm not sure what I did, but I remember I was flying. Oh, thank goodness this was a dream. And now that I was lucid I remembered that I really wanted to do a TOTM. I landed and knew the first thing I needed to do was to find a pumpkin. I had faith that I would find one within seconds of searching. And, sure enough, I came up to one. Unfortunately this one was old and very soft. I knew that if I attempted to pick it up that it would turn to mush. So I set out again. I was inside now in what looked like a large kitchen. And there on the counter was a rather small pumpkin. It was already partly carved. I didn't care. I grabbed a knife and carved out another eye. The rest of the face was already carved. Now I needed to remove my head. I had done this before years ago for the TOTM "Stand on your Head" where I had to remove my head and then stand on it. It hadn't been as hard as I had thought it would be, so I was hopeful that I would be able to do it again with just as much ease. I grabbed my head and started to pull up. At first nothing was happening, and I remembered that last time I had had luck by looking at my shadow. So I turned until I could see my shadow. There. I pulled again. I then felt a very odd sensation as I watched my shadow pull my head from my neck. It reminded me of two different things at once. First it felt like my neck was made from Silly Putty, and as I pulled it stretched a bit before breaking off. The other sensation was like that of having a tooth pulled, but being completely numb. I could feel what I thought should have been painful, yet not really feeling much at all. I then set my head down on the floor. I noticed that my vision was still coming from where my head had had been. I reached over and picked up the carved pumpkin and placed it on my neck. I looked around and didn't really feel any different from before. But I felt quite satisfied to have completed the TOTM so easily. I hadn't lost my touch. I think I automatically woke up at this point. I had sort of trained myself to wake up after completeing the Tasks so I could re-live them in my mind again as to not forget them. In retrospect I regret not finding a mirror, so I could see what I looked like with a pumpkin head.

I finally made it into space! Even though I had no idea how to handle myself once I got there, the fact that I flew up there was a huge milestone. Before this, stable flight had been a bit elusive for me. Big step forward! Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #20: The Unprepared Astronaut I'm a graduating senior in college, following around a guy who seems to think we're close friends. I feel pretty guilty because I have no memory of him at all. I'm accompanying him so he can say his post-college goodbyes to his girlfriend. We meet her outside of a dormitory, and I recognize her as a girl that I know from high school. I recognize how weird this is and quickly find myself lucid. Both of the dream characters freeze in place, looking into one another's eyes. I decide to leave the love birds alone while I take another pass at Task of the Month. (In this case, I'm going to be trying to remove my head and replace it with a pumpkin.) I try to will a mirror onto the outer dormitory wall but nothing appears. I remember how much more dream control success I have when I'm detailed and thorough. I try again, this time imagining an ornate mirror that's been worn by time, the paint on its frame beginning to chip and flake off. This time I get my mirror! I look into the mirror but it's dirty and cloudy-looking. The reflection looks like a shirtless me but it's very hard to make out any detail. I wipe at the mirror but it just doesn't make any difference. Rather than get hung up here and waste a lucid dream doing glass-cleaning, I decide to spend my time trying out other things. I leave the grounds of the dormitory and head out onto a quiet, empty street. The morning feels chilly and the city is covered with a blanket of fog. I wonder what this fog looks like from above, so I decide to try flying above it. This time, I focus on the little details. The chill of humid air against my fingertips. The breeze flowing past my hair and tickling my scalp. Concentrating on these sensations leaves me no time for doubt and I smoothly rise up into the fog. The fog swallows me whole as I rise. I wonder how long it will take me to pierce it. I feel myself going faster and faster and soon I'm rocketing up through the atmosphere. The fog never seems to end and I feel like I must be high above the Earth. Suddenly I break through into blackness. I stop rising, my momentum suddenly gone. I'm in the blackness of space and the fog is now a floor below me. I realize that it isn't just the city that was covered in fog -- it's the entire planet. I am able to breathe but I somehow can't keep myself from doing so in these desperate, shallow gasps. My flight abilities have stopped working and my arms and legs flail helplessly. I will myself a pair of rocket shoes but I get confused trying to work the lever that turns them on. I start losing my cool and my breathing becomes even gaspier until I wake up.

I was using the OOBE research centers technique. I set an alarm 6 hours after I went to bed which was 6 o'clock. got up went to the bathroom got a drink and went back to bed. After a couple hours I woke up and proceeded to try to seperare immediately which failed so I did observing images, rotation, and rubbing hands. 4 cycles none worked so I went back to bed. I woke up an hour or so later and immediately tried to observe images? (don't know why I didn't just try to seperate but either way) I started feeling vibrations then it felt as if someone was lifting me up from my shoulders and dragged my off my bed onto the floor. All the way through this I tried to remain calm. After I was on the floor I opened my eyes and it was very dark. I saw entities? i guess as I looked around (just balls of light flying around near my closet). I got scared, but calmed myself saying this is normal they can't hurt me. I then attempted to turn on the light by "dream power" or whatever you want to call it but i didn't try to use the switch. I was concentrating really hard on this and I woke up. I forgot to do the things to maintain lucidity... I'll hopefully do something exciting next time.
Side Notes - This lucid is actually from September 27th, I just never took the time to type it up until now. My Sandbox [MILD] The main thing I remember about the first part of this dream was that I was at home and we were throwing a party with lots of my family members and old teachers attending. After everyone had pretty much left I was just hanging out in my room and I saw my 11th grade physics teacher coming up to the door through the window so I went to go meet him. I think he also morphed into some random guy at one point.... I went and opened the front door and he wasn't there, and upon seeing that I immediately became lucid. I randomly decided to climb the tree in our front yard, so I sprinted towards it and just ran up it. I'm pretty sure the geometry of this experience was beyond alien, my memory is quite confusing, but eventually I was just standing up on a high point of the tree. I looked up into the sky and saw a car slowly floating through the air way off in the distance and was confused for a second, but I decided I probably shouldn't let myself get distracted with that or the dream will fade. (I've gotten this feeling while staring into the sky while lucid before.) I took one last look at the car and then back down to the ground. Extending out in front of me was a long and incredibly thick tree branch that seemed to be made to resemble the shape of a slide. There was even a little cupped part at the bottom. I slid down and the branch moved to help get me gently on to the ground. I turned around and noticed that the branch was actually in the shape of an arm, and the cupped part was the tree holding its hand like that to assist me. I reached out and shook this massive hand and smiled, the tree seemed nice. I had landed in the road and there was a car coming right for where I was standing, so I crouched down and spread my arms out to try and hold it off. When it collided with me I was pushed back slightly, but mostly I was able to push the force of the impact to the side and the car ended up smashing through the front yard of the house across the street from mine. I turned around and saw their fence running along the side of the street, so I jumped up to it and started running along the top. I was headed toward the nearby alleyway but as I looked at the houses over there my vision started to get really white and blurry and I was afraid that the dream might be ending. I turned around and saw a truck with a pretty empty back turning the corner on to a nearby street (the one that extends directly out from our house, we live at a three-way intersection). I held out my hand and yelled "Stop!" and the driver immediately slammed on the breaks. Then I clenched my fingers almost into a fist as a way of doing a sort of telekinetic or magnetic pull and it totally worked. I was pulled by an invisible force on to the back of the truck and I reached over to pat its side and said "Alright, let's go." We started moving, and I vaguely remember leaning over and starting to say something to the driver and/or passenger, but then I woke up. Fun night.
I lay down, wishing hard for lucidity. Also, frustrated with life.. SO: I was laying on a bridge. I was tired, looking down at the scenery. I was afraid to get up and walk their was no gaurd rail.. But I was comfy and I knew Id be safe if I just lay there.. Then a car came And in it were a few old friends and a stranger.. They offered me a ride.. I appear in the car, buckle up and realise the car is flying.. I think.. This.. is a dream! Some blue sparks go off I get really proud "finally!" I think. I try to put my finger through my hand.. As a little reality check I like.. It went through! Felt funny :p Then things started to fade.. I wanted to spin like I read about But I was in a car.. So I rubbed my hands together and thought.. 2+2=4+4=8+8=16+16=32+32=64+64=128 Then I felt stable.. Sitting in a flying car, i didnt know what to do... So I turned to my old friend and asked "do you represent anything?" He says "I dont know.." I didnt like that answer >< So I asked the driver.. He didnt know either -.- So I told them, Im dreaming! They didnt care.. ugh.. But then I heard someone call my name I turned to look But then I did it in real life.. I opened my eyes. i thought.. Damn, ok, Ill try again.. So then: I was typing on this website in this dream journal "My very first lucid dream" all excitedly then I amended "(after awhile)" I went on to type about it But then little video game characters kept destroying my words >< I got annoyed and trying to "win" and type faster than they could destroy. They won v.v The end
Had a fun morning! After I got Chris off to school at 7:20am, I went back to bed. It was easily over an hour before I finally got to sleep. I wasn't asleep long i don't think before waking up briefly. I was pretty relaxed and drowsy and got the vibrations pretty quickly. I waited for what I can only assume is the allotted time before opening my eyes. When I did, of course the room looks pretty normal, so I'm always careful about getting out of bed at this point. I looked on Danny's side of the bed, and saw something strange just below his pillow. I picked it up, and it was a black and white dog collar that we do not own. So yay, good enough for me! I got up, and left the bedroom. (If I remember next time, I'm going to just phase through a wall or window, and skip all this going through the house stuff. It takes up too much time and there are often too many distracting oddities). I thought about doing the trick-o-treat TOTM again. So on my way out I saw Danny in the livingroom, and to avoid a distracting confrontation, I just said, without even making eye-contact "Gotta go outside for a bit baby" and went out the front door. But when I did, I magically came IN to the house from the back door lol. I was a little worried that I might have a problem with this. But I just marched through the house, went out the front door and this time I was in the front yard. And it was night, perfect! I went straight to the house across the street and knocked on the door. A lady opened the door, looked a bit like my neighbor, and I said "Trick-o-treat! Does a DreamViews member live here?" She didn't answer me so I just barged inside. I saw a couple other people, and I said "Are any of y'all DV members?" They all said no, but one of them pointed to a room around the corner and said "He is. He's Greg LastNameUndisclosed" I said "I know him, that's Oneironaut Zero!!" So I ran around the corner, and sitting on the edge of the fireplace hearth was a very sick looking African-American man. Didn't look like O at all really, but I said "Greg?" and he said "Yeah?" I got real close to him, he was wearing a really nice yellow button up shirt, and I asked him if he was ok because he looked sick. I can't remember his answer. Anyway, I left because I wanted to try more houses! I skipped a couple houses down, and knocked on the door and said "Trick-o-treat" when a lady answered. She started to actually give me some candy but I said I don't want it, and asked if anyone from DV lived here. She pointed to a 17-year-old African-American girl sitting on the couch. She said her DV name was 'Trice (like short for Patrice). So I told her I'm so looking that up on DV when I wake up. Then I woke up. I got vibrations again almost right away, and when I opened my dream eyes, I did it real slowly and I could just make out an odd blue crate on top of the covers. Thanks again subC . So I got out of bed, and I noticed a door in the bedroom which leads outside, but doesn't exist in real life. So I went out the door, and it led me to a balcony. When I looked down, I saw that I was impossibly high up. When I saw the ground, it looked miles away, like it does when you look out of an airplane window. So then I looked up, and GUESS WHAT?! I was in that beautiful multicolored villa from a couple weeks ago, the one I was trying to get to!! I couldn't believe it. I looked around, there should have been a silver palace to my left, but I couldn't see it, plus there were some clouds obscuring my view in that direction. I looked to my right and there was the city, several really huge, shiny skyscrapers. I was ecstatic. I looked up again so I could admire the beautiful building I was visiting, then I woke up. To bad I wasn't there longer, I might have remembered that Wonka-style elevator and gone for a ride haha!
This was a Task of the Month attempt and my first lucid in several days. This was a fun dream and it was exciting to be back in the saddle. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #19: The (Headless) Man in the Mirror I'm in an office kitchen and I happen to run into L, an old friend from high school that I barely ever see. I ask how married life has been and whether anything exciting is going on with her. She reveals that she's expecting and is "3 weeks along". I remark that I couldn't tell (duh) but she doesn't respond. Assuming she didn't hear me, I repeat what I just said, only to realize that she has vanished. A young woman taps me on the shoulder and says, "Are you okay? You look like you're talking to someone but there's nobody there." Immediately lucid, I nod to her. "Thanks. Everything's fine. I'm dreaming." She seems to accept this, walking away. My mind is immediately on the Task of the Month and I walk through the nearest doorway. I wind up in a large classroom that looks like it might be for first- or second-graders. Daylight streams in from a large window on the far side of the room. I'm the only person in the room and there's a pumpkin in the middle of every short little table. Yes, conditions are perfect for removing my own head. I walk around the room, thinking of mirrors, expecting to see one around every corner. Finally one of those odd, distorting fish-eye mirrors appears but I figure it'll be fine. I check my reflection and I'm wearing extremely thick black glasses and a purple tank top. My hair looks all 90s and hair-sprayed. I decide not to get too attached to this new look as I shall be ridding myself of this head shortly. I begin to think about how all my life I have had the head of a Lego man, attached to my neck by nothing but a short knob. I place both hands under my jaw. Even though I can feel my hands on my face, my reflection's hands are a few inches away. I go ahead anyway, smoothly pushing up, and my head pops right off, just like a Lego piece. There's no blood and no pain. All of this feels perfectly natural. I need to find a pumpkin now so I unceremoniously chuck my head onto the floor. It makes a sound like a softball as it lands. I grab a nearby pumpkin and see that it's already carved like a jack-o-lantern. I wonder whether this is a violation of the rules that I'm supposed to carve it. I decide that once I put it on I'll add features. (Maybe a mustache?) I return to the mirror to complete the procedure but find that my original head has grown back. I feel a flash of surprise and the mirror disappears. I start looking around the class for more mirrors. One pops up but vanishes as soon as I try to look into it. I grumble about this and my voice suddenly sounds like the growl of an old man. I find a third mirror. When I look into it, Walter White from "Breaking Bad" is staring back at me. He (is this me or someone else??) is wearing the trademark Heisenberg pork pie hat and dark glasses. The dream fades and I'm awake.
