    1. Failure then Success!-Lucid#2

      Commentary-
So, yesterday I carried out the adjusted technique I explained yesterday. Falling asleep seemed easier and smoother with the visualization techniques. Prior to my first two awakenings I had strange dreams-random sounds but no visuals at all. The second awakening was disappointing because I was excited to find myself in sleep paralysis but I couldn't DEILD because the tv was on! So I turned the tv off, went to sleep and the fun began...

      Lucid #2-
I almost immediately recognized I was dreaming when I found myself in a dark empty living room at night with a random child with me. "Do you want to play?" he asks. "How about golf!" I suggest. "Okay," he says. So, I go outside, pick up speed and jump up to fly, leaving the poor kid behind. As I start to gain some elevation, I look around at my surrondings. At first, there seemed to quite a lack of detail in the layout of the area with just a single light for each of the homes in a grid like pattern. But, as I see some skyscrapers for the downtown area, I find myself landing there as the buildings start to increase in detail immensely. Soon I was surronded with beautiful architecture everywhere. Inexplicabily I found myself walking down a street in similar in layout to Market Street in San Francisco heading towards Embargadero Street in daylight. Only, this city looked different as it was a tropical oceanfront city. As I approached what would be Embaragadero Street I simply hopped right over it. I hopped around a couple more times, testing this ability. There was a party type atmospere with a lot of people at a plaza type area I found myself at. I walked to the left and saw at a shaded oceanfront park a long line of pairs of people getting ready for what looked like a water balloon fight. After presumably a go signal the water balloon fight began. Some people were holding grocery bag sized water balloons which their partner simply poked with a pin or scissors. The dream ended as I was viewing this.

      Commentary-
So, the technique worked just as I had planned. I trained my mind to differentaite the waking world from the dreaming world so I was almost immediately lucid when I had the dream. I didn't have to do any reality checks. If my earlier dreams this morning had visuals, I might have been lucid in those as well.

The tv habit really has to end.

After my lucid dream I tried to go to sleep again but couldn't. As I was relaxing and visualizing, I started to get hungry. Since I convinced myself anything was possible when I was in dream mode, I visualized myself eating a bowl of cinnamon roll flavored oatmeal. My hunger went away!

Prior to my lucid dream, when I was visualizing to relax myself, I imagined going to sleep at night at Santa Cruz Beach and occasionally at a tropical beach in daytime. This probably had an effect on my lucid dream as it started at night and ended at a tropical city in daylight. I've heard about dream incubation but I haven't read about yet. I'll be sure to today. Hopefully, my technique will continue to work!

WILD + Spirit Guide Search Failed + Pseudo Lucid Dream??? (WILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I woke up around 3:23 AM from this. Before then, I believe I had woke up for a while, and was conscious of it. I closed my eyes and was sleeping on the right side of my bed.

I decided to try and imagine some random image, which was:

" n_n " emoticon, I sort of pushed my eyes out, and from that point, those sensations started to come back to me. Random numbers, Then a mini Green 0,1 matrix font coming down.....and then more random numbers and images, BAM.

YES!!!! WILDED LIKE A BOSS!!!!! SUCK IT 20 minute WBTB.....10 second WBTB FTW!!!!!!!!

Also, this pushing eye my eyes thing while I focusing on one image for a few seconds, and then seeing random stuff appear....I wonder....maybe I should try that again after this entry...

      OMFGz0ers SUPER MASSIVE RECALL TIME!!!

As the images and numbers started streaming, literally giving me the sensation of having my dream body pulled out and then laid on the edge of the bed, I finally have my dreaming eyes opened without trying to force anything open.

Good..goood...let the lucidity flow in you LINK. I stay in this awkward position on the edge of the bed where I have my upper breast region, head, and arms on the bed. My arms were spread apart and stretched naturally. My head was on its left side, and I realized immediately that this dream setting is set for night time. I slowly get up, amazed, but still calm, that I'm dreaming.

Then I decided to touch myself so that I wouldn't be indulged into that excitement, and possibly ruin my dream stability. So I rubbed my chest with my hands for a while, and my thoughts start becoming clearer now, I realized that using the mentality that being exciting or pumped up would be useless, so I might as well just be nonchalant about the whole thing to increase stability.

For some reason throughout the process of rubbing my chest for a few seconds, I had an image of Madara Uchiha appear with the Rinnegan, in a completely lifeless form.
Weird.....maybe it's just an afterthought when I woke up...but it just came up when I was just typing this stuff below.

I didn't pay attention to the surroundings in my bed for too long, though I did see a orange-yellow night light source on the north-east side when I turn my head to the left(since I'm still standing on the ground next to the edge of the bed).

I saw that there was a huge dresser shelf laid out to the left of the night light as well, and also a mirror on top I believe, but I paid more attention to the shelf instead. It was light brown, had a fairly shiny wood coating on it, and then I decided to do a nose plug reality check.

I take my right hand, plug my nose, and tried to breathe, and I can't breathe at all. Maybe I didn't plug my nose completely, but I'm pretty sure that I did. I attempted another nose plug reality check, and got the same result. I also felt the lower torso of my body sucking in, except that I didn't feel too much of it compared to if I did the nose plug RC in waking life.

I did hear that sound where if you didn't plug your nose all the way, it would make that "pbbbbt" sound
(try to leave a little hole open in your nose if you do a nose plug reality check, and you'll know what I mean).

A nose plug reality check where I can't breathe through my nose....HA...

Better resort to the good ol' finger counting! So I take my hands out from the nose plug reality check, look down, they looks like my hands alright. So I started to count from the right hand thumb.

1 2 3 4 5 6....yep, 6 fingers is definitely abnormal, definitely dreaming. And during this whole process, I finally become cognizant that the moment I turn my body around, I find that there's a door a few feet to the the right in front of me. Something about area feels.......kid like....spacious....there was this feeling, as if I was a spoiled little kid.

Mind you, I still had my dream body of now, so I wasn't a little child in my dream, even though I didn't look at myself in the mirror. I was sure of this because when I rubbed my chest from before, I felt these slight bumps, and I was most likely in a muscular body than in waking life.

Anyway, after reality checking, I started to collect my thoughts together, not aware if I'm naked or not.
(I know I was naked in waking life).

      I told myself,

"As soon as I open this door, I will find my spirit guide............."

I slowly turned the knob of the door to the right, feeling the circular edge around it, and opened the door slowly. I take a little peek out without popping my head between the gap,

      "Okay maybe not????? Sorta?"

I opened the door completely, and it's apparent that my bedroom exit would be next to a kitchen to the left of me. The section to the right of that is completely dark, and I presumed it was the living room of this random and spacious house. I haven't stepped out of the bedroom as yet, but as soon as I did, I noticed my mother is standing there to my right.

      ....lol....awkwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard.

I look at her for a while, and I'm bit shocked by her presence, but I went back to calming myself down and tried not to get too excited. It seems she's wearing clothes that resemble her sleeping outfit. She's wearing a white tank top that had very thin arm strings, and she wore sky blue velour type of pants.

She had a bit of a stomach to her, and had thunder thighs as well. Her hair is tied up, and the rest of it is curved up into a ponytail style that's balled up. I looked down on the floor a little bit to distract myself and try to come up with something to do with her being here.

I get close to her and try to reach my hand out to her, but as soon as I try to touch her hand, she immediately retracts it.

Oh come on now, you're not my mother if you do that, even if I don't know you too much, you were never like this.

I stand there disappointed in myself, not really thinking too much on why she retracted her hand just now, and to be honest, from the dream I had yesterday about her, there was no point resorting to rage at all.

She starts to move perpendicular to where I'm at, and as I'm watching her walk to the left, I tried to get her attention again.

      "Wait."

I then tried to make myself larger and tried to scare her, but I failed SO hard doing that. I get my upper torso and arms flexed and tried to lift them up, trying to get the sensation and imagining my body getting bigger, but no luck at all.

My mother turns around, and she tries to imitate me as well...LOL...She fails in her attempt to grow larger as well. I try it again, just one more try, I did it with so much force that I felt my legs trying to come off from the ground by a few inches.

My mother does the same thing again with imitating me, and by this point, she's completely useless to me, but I still decided to indulge into the thought that she's significant in this dream region for some region.

So instead of running out of the house and TRYING TO FIND MY FUCKING AKASHIC RECORDS FOR GOD SAKE OR EVEN MY DAMN DREAM GUIDE, I stay in the house like a good little boy. *sigh* I waste my time for a mother who retracts her body away from me from every attempt of me trying to hold her hand....

After our little imitation trick of trying to grow larger, which was kind of a cute mother-son bond thing (even though it was obvious this was just a lifeless dream character with no signs of initiative), and her not saying anything to me at all to this point, I still I had a fear about her.

I don't know, when I was trying to get larger, I imagined her doing some scary shit like having her eyes pop out and her turning demonic or something, but nope....she's just as incapable as I am in the dream of doing these kinds of things.

Then I hear a grunt from my left ear, and as soon as I turn my head to the left, I see my father trying to get into an erect sitting position as he's waking up. He's wearing a dark blue pajama shirt and pants with a even darker hue of blue stripes going down vertically. He has his eyes squinting at us, trying to see what's going on.

Out of reflex, or maybe a slight shock, I quickly told him,

"Oh no! Everything's perfectly fine here....."

He makes a grunt noise and goes back to sleep, and by the time I turn my head back to focus on my mother again, she's by the kitchen on the left. It seems she's going to heat something up, maybe some warm milk or something of that sort. By this time....I decided.

Screw this. I dashed to the door, which had a light shiny gray lock on top of it, I turn it to the right or left (doesn't really matter now), and I opened that door and catapulted my way out of there. I slam the door shut, and as soon as I turned my head, this fairly big neighborhood appears before my eyes.

It's still night time, but I can still make out the contours of the houses around me and in front of me. It seems the house that my parents and I were in just now in the dream is located near a cul-de-sac.
      Ha....a dead-end, d----dOn'T ANALYZE NOW.

There are a few small bushes to the left and right of me, and I could tell this neighborhood is fairly decent and peaceful.

I'm surprisingly able to keep running without losing stability AT all...so plus for me..unfortunately...and it's very hard to for me to distinguish if there was something in the middle of the cul-de-sac, I slowly start to float in the air.

I had no intention of flying at all, but figured that if I'm floating, this means it would be harder should my mother want to chase me, but in all actuality, that was not needed at all. Though I could sense that she was gone at this point, even though I didn't bother to look back at the house I came out of.

I started to get higher and higher in the air, slowly flinging my arms and legs out, feeling out of balance, but I knew this was a dream, so I still remained calmed. Then my body starts rotating a bit slowly, and I could see that roof of the same house I dashed out from starts to open and remains tilted to the right side.

A HUGE BEAM OF LIGHT SHOOTS OUT FROM THE HOUSE AND TO THE SKY. It was SO POWERFUL, that I swore it could've been enough to reach outer space...in the dream of course.

Then I realized....I'm floating BECAUSE OF THAT.

So basically, the dream environment is telling me like,

"OH NO YOU COME BACK HERE, YOU COME BACK MISTER!!!!"

I try floating away from the house, with all my might, but I'm completely incapable of doing so. So I went into "oooh screw it" mode and let the beam of light suck me in, and I'm almost in transitioning myself to wake up, but then I hear some voice....like the voice from the guy from "The Price is Right."

No, not Drew Carey, the "YOU JUST WON A NEW CAAAAAAAAAR!" guy voice. I don't know where he is, but all I hear is (paraphrasing):

"Find out how YOU can pseudo-lucid dream as well!"

Wait wait........I KNOW that when I woke up with my eyes opened for a few seconds, I saw the fan I have in waking life rotating.....I think.....DANG IT, NOW I'M CONFUSED. Do I tag this as a WILD or a DILD contributing a FALSE WILD

UGGGGGH..But but....how can I have those sensations of being pulled in, just like a WILD, I was in the dream in the first plac-----*cries*

      I don't know anymore! It's a WILD to me.

Who's That Anime Blonde Chick? (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I can't remember much from this dream, but there was a lot of feelings of being hopeful towards a blonde anime female. There were a lot of people in the dream that were skeptical about her, but I still had more faith in her than any of them. She looked like the one chick from that show I rather not talk about. :x

But if you do find it, "SHHHHHH."

There were dream shifts where both of us were walking along some thin path. We had to brace our backs against the rocky walls, and make sure that our feet are still on the very very thin walkway, otherwise, we would fall into a seemingly bottomless pit.

    3. Lucid #76: Advanced ToTM

by , 09-16-2012 at 02:13 PM (Magic Box)
      My house was on fire.

I was panicking, and waterbending any water I could find into the flames to put them out. I was thinking of just firebending the flames, but for some reason my dream self knew I sucked at firebending. I was in the kitchen when I suddenly got lucid. Everything went HD instantly, which was really awesome to witness. I stood there, amazed at the realistic graphics of the dream. I walked outside, leaving my house in flames, and not caring a bit. I didn't think about stabilizing, because the last few times I tried to stabilize, it ended up making the dream hazy, I have no idea why. This time everything went smoothly. It must've been because I didn't think the dream would fall apart, so my mind found no reason to do so. If that makes sense.

I was out in the middle of the street. It was nighttime and there were no cars around. I closed my eyes and imagined a huge pool of water appearing in the road. When I opened my eyes, there it was. It looked like a huge pond with blue-black water. For a moment I thought, "Am I really doing this?" For the past few lucids, I've been planning to do it, but I always chickened out at the last minute. I was afraid it would be too scary and shock me awake, or make me lose lucidity.

      Oh, fvck it.

I jumped in. I was underwater, a few feet from the surface. It was very dark, but I could see that there were dolphins around me. They looked so cute, just a bit larger than me. There were about 5 or 6 of them, swimming playfully. Then I remembered my last unfinished personal monthly goal, which was to turn into a mermaid (thanks NoDaniel for the idea ). I was initially planning to turn into a mermaid while doing the advanced ToTM, so I'd hit two birds with one stone. Plus, it'd be easier to travel underwater and there won't be any breathing problems.

I closed my eyes and imagined turning into a mermaid. I tried moving my legs but it felt like they were glued together. They felt very light too. I looked down at myself and saw that I had a shimmery silver fin, which was about twice as long as my normal legs. It was really cool. I decided to swim down, thinking that the deeper I go, the further into the past I'd end up in. (Perfect logic seems legit ) After about 20 meters or so, I started seeing huge aquatic thingies moving past me. They moved really fast so I couldn't see what they were. I shifted upright, and stayed still. Then this ginormous crocodile-looking creature moved beside me. It was quite different though; it didn't have reptile scales, but a fish-type skin. I could see there were about 3-4 of them in the distance. There were also a lot of squid-looking creatures that were as big as me, floating around. There were seaweeds too -- I had to push some of them away from me.

I decided to swim back up to the surface.
I must've lost lucidity sometime in between, because I don't remember ever reaching the top.

P.S. So I was looking up pics of the cretaceous period animals and found this, and I remember seeing it about 2 weeks ago. Good job brain, for remembering

No dream recall- due to drinking, stoning, and overexhaustion after a night with Alex. :\

      +

      (Taking a nap around 2:00PM)
(At this time, I'm extremely relaxed from listening to binaural beats, meditating, stretching... almost to the point of being in a trance. I decide I'm too tired to read anything else, so I close out of my book at page 106. I face the speakers playing the binaural beats towards the bed and lie down. Then realizing that binaural beats won't work unless coming from different ears, I turn them off and just lie there. I lie there for what seems like awhile and my consciousness starts slipping. I can feel that I'm falling asleep in waves- and my mind will run off on a thought tangent and I'll stop myself before I totally FADE. But these tangents started becoming more real... and more in-depth. Slowly, the thought tangents were becoming mini-dreams. In the middle of each mini-dream, just like each tangent before, I would catch myself from falling asleep completely... by now stopping and thinking, "THIS IS A DREAM!". The first dream I remember was the Baby Coyote dream... there were more before that that I had become lucid in too, but I don't recall them.)

Alex, Nathan, and I are driving down Saguaro Dr. in his Jeep. It's pretty dark outside, but the moonlight leaves a dim outline of the world for us to see. Approaching the turn in to my old home, we see something in the middle of the road. It's a baby coyote. I'm filled with love for this little creature, and I just want to get out and hold it and love on it. Even knowing the parents would probably still be around. After waiting too long, Nathan finally drives off, apparently less impressed than I was. The parent coyotes join the baby and start to walk up my driveway. We drive off a little ways and I say, "Go back! We can still go see them!" Nathan turns around and Alex points out that they are still around, just kind of waiting there. We turn around and head back to his house, Nathan uninterested, but wanting to drive by again for us. Suddenly I realize it's a dream and wake up.

(I wake up with my eyes closed and fade back into another pretty fast.)
      <dream recall starts>
I'm with Nathan, and it's around 3-4PM, the sun is shining and we're both in his Jeep driving down Saguaro Dr. We turn into his driveway, and I begin telling him about a dream I just had with us driving the Jeep right by a coyote on the road. Just as I speak my first sentence about it, a coyote sprints across the dirt driveway in front of us and runs into the desert. I... stammer, "Whoa whoa... whoa holy shit..." I look over at Nathan with wide bug-eyes to express my surprise and confusion. Coincidence happens. But I recognize when probability isn't at the right level. I explain, as he continues driving, that my dream had to have been telling me something or telling the future at the most. (Ironically, my subconscious was trying to make me lucid.) We pull up to his house, by his garage, and we start talking. Harley springs up out of nowhere and starts wagging his little tail like he always does. I think he came out of the garage door that isn't closed all the way. Nathan begins to close it just as I'm crawling under it. It's shaped in an almost alien fashion... and it closes as if it's an alien door with metal blinds... but it still comes dangerously close to crushing me. I'm gripped with slight panic as it pushes on my back... but then it stops. I crawl back out from underneath and seem to forget what just happened. Suddenly, the neighbors are calling out to us. I look up and see a small crowd by the next door house, a couple of girls waving at us. Nathan doesn't notice until I get him to look. I wave back with enthusiasm and continue talking to Nathan. I see Harley wag his tail, and notice he's tied with a thin red string to an unfamiliar vehicle where Nathan's Jeep was JUST parked. It's a maroon old-fashioned-esque car. It must be those neighbors or something. Suddenly they walk up from the driveway. It's a soccer-mom and her girls. She talks to Nathan as if he knows her. <memory> Before she leaves, she mentions something to ME about there being a scheduled "thing" and to not forget. The lady then gets into the maroon car and pulls out with her family. I watch them drive off, me being in the yard closer to the tree. I realize I'm dreaming and wake up.

(This time I wake up and decide to try something. The last few dreams were confusing me immensely, but I've gained the ability to "feel" if it's a dream or not. Being semi-awake again, and grounded in my bed, I begin to visualize until I feel I'm ready to induce sleep paralysis. My eyes still closed, I think, "Induce sleeping state, NOW!" or "Induce that state [that I'm thinking about]... NOW!" something to that effect... My whole body begins to vibrate and I can feel that I'm on the edge of sleep paralysis, but not quite there. I set to work immediately.

I began to visualize me being in the middle of a bunch of different scenes, and adding movement for added immersion. The first was a mall... I could hear the people talking... dragging their feet on the ground... but no visuals. I tried other scene's, none really getting me into a lucid dream. Just triggering new thought tangents. I tried again, this time, it was more specific: I was in the mall, but on a fountain's steps lying down. I could feel the sandstone... hear the water trickling and splashing... feel the cool air... I tried adding movement by rocking back and forth... I rolled off the steps and began to fall into nothing.

I open my eyes, and I'm back in my room again. But on the floor... I rise up and see an exact replica of myself sprawled out on the bed... on my back, hugging a pillow to my chest, a blanket's corner covering my eyes. I get so excited that my heart races and I look around the room one last time before my... experience... ends. I my Grandma's the old pendulum wall-clock with the time of 12:30 on the dot. (The clock is a few hours off of real time.) My experience ends and I open my eyes and take the blanket off my face. The clock says 12:31.
(It's around 5:30PM when all of this ends.)
    5. [Dropping Nathan Off]

by , 09-16-2012 at 10:16 AM (Searching For The Center of Everything)
      [Thursday, September 13th, 2012]
      <dream fragment>
I'm driving up to the High School with Nathan to drop him off for school... we pass by kids and I see the Principal, Ms Jacobson, and a Vice Principal walking next to her down the sidewalk. "Hey Nathan! I think I just saw the new Vice Principal! That was him wasn't it?"
      "No, it wasn't."
(I wasn't entirely sure... but I tried to sound sure of myself anyways.)
"Yeah it was. He had a name tag on him... next time you see him, see if it said Vice Principal on it."
I went forward up the parking lot as far as I could go towards the Gym and turned... right a little and then dropped him off. I realized that this wasn't how you were supposed to drop people off, you were supposed to stop at the side walk and turn LEFT. Nathan got out and I didn't see him again after that. I glanced back to see if anyone was watching me- there wasn't. Everyone had vanished. It was just me in the parking lot now. I didn't think anything of it. I reversed out of there with some difficulty and drove back the way I was supposed to go, noting that I shouldn't go the way the buses usually go. (It didn't matter, but whatever.) As I was driving around the Football-field-side of the student parking lot, I thought to myself...
"Wait... I was just in bed trying to sleep... THIS IS A DREAM."

As my common sense and consciousness rushed into my mind, my visuals rippled and faded. Now I'm surrounded with nothing but darkness. I try to focus on anything to start another dream... and I see an imprint; a blurry visual... it's a vertical oval, like a round mirror... and there's a figure in the center staring back at me. Who is that? I focus on the figure and try to bring them closer to me. The visuals just get weaker and I feel my body now in WL. It's so numb, and it feels like my stomach is being forced through the bed into my spine... is something sitting on me? This must be sleep paralysis! I force my eyes closed even more in slight fear... and I just bring myself even closer to WL in the process of focusing on my body. I focus on the feeling of sleep paralysis as its fading... and I try to force sleep paralysis back, and surprisingly it works. I start to fade back into a dream, but then I fall back down into my bed and wake up completely.

      +
      <false awakening>
I hear knocking at my door as I try to fall back asleep. I ignore it for a little bit and curse my Grandma's invasiveness. After a second, I convince myself she's still there and realize I'm naked in my bed. She knocks again and I could have SWORN she was opening the door at that second. My blanket was suddenly covering my body perfectly. Too perfectly... but it was fine at the time. I slip my boxers back on when she doesn't open the door and I get up and open it myself. She is there and she asks me a question that I don't remember, and then I wake up for real.

EDIT: She asked me how the jobs were going and if I had done anything else with it. I kind of got angry... "Grandma! I said I was just waiting on the school now to call me! I've already done everything I can, remember?!"

    6. Picking planets to visit from a star map.

by , 09-16-2012 at 03:11 AM (Chard's DJing This Party)
I don't see anything and know I'm dreaming. I ask out loud why the dream feels the need to immediately respond to anything I think or feel, like if I were to just come up with the notion, "Send me to a nasty place." The dream responds by placing me in a classical Dante's Inferno type of hell, complete with fire and lava. I say "Well okay, if you want to do that then how about some ecstasy. I feel different nerves stimulating in my brain until it reaches the top, where I feel ecstasy for a brief period.

I'm now in a world made up of planes that are all at 90 degree angles from each other, sort of like Minecraft. To the right of me is a fenced house where two of my cousins are staying. They seem to be the boss of this world. To the left I see a wall stretching all the way to the horizon, a black void with stars shining from it. I pick a spot and am quickly transported to a planet around that star. I have a look around a house just like any earthly home and hear a voice speaking, "He'll bring water to where it's needed in the galaxy." I walk into a room with a fire hydrant in the middle of it. It shoots off through the ceiling and suddenly water is erupting from the ground. I run off but pause a moment when I see a cat trying to climb in a toilet of all places to hide from the water. I try to help the cat but am transported back to the Minecraft star junction.

I pay Earth a visit next. It zooms into view from outside the Milky Way on in to our solar system, then Earth, then the U.S., Missouri (which is labeled by the way - so is Illinois, but it's misspelled), then the St. Louis area onto a dock by a lake at sunset. I relax a bit, take a look around, then back to the star map.

I see a dark spot on the map where there are no stars and quickly pick a different spot because I have a fear of hurtling through space with no end in sight. The dream must have sensed my apprehension because instead of sending me where I wanted to go it shifted my view back to the dark spot. Not one to back down from a challenge I dive headlong into the black area and just float through the void a bit. Back to the star map.

Since I always wondered what the view was like on a planet within a nebula, I pick one. As it zooms in I find it's super close to a black hole and in danger of being sucked in. My view keeps trying to shift to the black hole but I hold steady and arrive at the planet. It's a really cool sight to see plants and trees lifting off the planet with the nebula as a backdrop, even though it all would inevitably be gone soon. I'm lifting off the planet and into the black hole, which can be scary but I'm always curious what I find inside. When I hit the singularity I'm back on the planet again, except everything is normal. I look to the sky and see no nebula; instead, there's a giant red star in the sky. I'm now thinking that I traveled back in time right before the star exploded so now I would be treated to a real visual treat watching a supernova, but I wake up.

    7. One of the strangest nights yet.

      by , 09-16-2012 at 02:00 AM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
I'm writing this entire night a second time, because I accedently pushed 'Back' on this page after I wrote it the first time(rage). So, I'll start out by saying that I have definitly had some strange dreams. We've all had some pretty strange dreams. Dreams are of the nature of being strange usually, but last night I honestly don't know how they got so out of the ordinary. There were about six to ten different scenes in total, I'll start with the first I remember.

The first scene began in some sort of fantasy land. It was night time, but the night time here glowed. The glowing setting of this place was a dark shade of blue, it was peaceful. My body was in the form of a centaur. But not only did I have the four legs of a horse, I had a pair of wings on my back as well. This dream had a great deal to do with magic, although I don't remember what I was trying to accomplish with magic per say. All I really recall fondly is that I was a flying centaur, and that is badass.

The second dream was in a fancy room. The walls were red, and the carpets, plants, and sofas matched it well. Also there were a few nice paintings along the wall that I noticed. My sister and a few of her friends were sitting on one of the couches talking as I lucidly flew around the room inspecting it. I wanted to continue the scenes, so I made a door in the wall and told everybody to follow me. I didn't know where the door led to, I wanted it to suprise me. So I opened it and walked into the hall way of a mall. On the right side was a marble wall and then a corner that went into the main sections and on the left was a wall made of glass that allowed you to see outside. I don't think this dream continued any longer- it shifted to another scene.

My sister and I walked out of our house with our dog, Chiquis. We walked across the street and said hello to our niece. We talked to her for a bit and let Chiquis walk around the grass. There were a few dogs walking around as well that I didn't notice before. They started to surround Chiquis and sniff her. She gets really nervous around other dogs, and she looked scared shitless to be frank. I was in a sort of strange half lucid state at this point, so I grew out my claws and fur and grew a few inches. I walked towards the group of dogs surrounding mine and let out a menacing growl that sent them running in all directions. Then I picked my baby Chiquis up and pet her for a little while. She liked my fury form. Here's where the dream became extremely... out of the ordinary. I'm not sure how this all happened.

People, turned into things that weren't human. I still considered them normal people in the dream, but everyone I encountered now had bodies shaped as dirty mounds of moving flesh. Their skins were all shades of green and brown and their anatomy's just did not make sense, it's so hard to explain. There was a couple walking down the sidewalk in front of me. Their grotesque blob-bodies where formed into one body with two heads when they were happy with each other, but when they began to fight their bodies would seperate. The male's mouth was in sections of four, and opened and closed in all different angles when he talked; and the female's mouth was came out of her face long and skinny with tiny lips at the end. They talked like normal people, acted like normal people- but everything was weird. The skies were orange. The buildings around me were strange and flesh looking. Some went up for miles, others were regular size. They all had holes and isles like a huge building of large entrails. Still walking down the sidewalk, I began recieving the feeling I was in danger- something was following me. I knew what it was in the dream, but now that I think of it I had no idea really. I began turning corners and picking up my speed when I stopped, almost running into a large neon orange fox shaped creature. The creature was probably the size of my livingroom, and had the body of shaped like a fox. But it didn't have fur, just solid bright mass. It's eyes were red, but not at all sinister. And it talked to me in my head. It's own head so so beatiful, but I can't imagine any way that I could explain it's shape right. The front of it's head had the eyes and nose in place, in the front- but the head was large, and it went back a good length. It was almost a cone shape going backwards, but the shape was made out of a large clump of curling and tethered orange tendons. I jumped on it's back and held on. It had the ability to run on any surface, straight up, straight down, upside down- you name it. We ran through twisting caverns and tunnels of the flesh like buildings I meantioned before, she went so fast. I couldn't hardly keep up with the way she moved. Her voice was soft and calming. She was a good pet.
"So, I couldn't help but notice your horns. Are you one of the demon folk around here?" She asked me. In the dream, for some reason in that moment I was one of the beings they called demons in the city. But in this strange "Ugly Americans" sense. It seemed like the more grotesque you were here, the cooler you were. "Yeah, that's me." I replied. I was having a hard time thinking of conversation at the speeds we were going. We finally got to the complete other side of the town, and she let me off. "Thank you so much." I said. And she jumped away.

The next dream was vivid and horrific, almost like a nightmare but not really. Now everything looked like this world. There was no distortion, it was vivid and realistic. I was walking through a very dirty and runned down area. It looked like a ghetto, but like... a ghetto after the apocolypse had happened or some shit. It was just wrecked. I was walking down an alley, and started seeing corpses here and there. They were rapped up in white tissues, almost like mumification, but less tactful. The body count increased, soon there were piles of these wrapped up bodies. I came upon a giant lot. It looked like a meat farm, but all of the hanging meats were human bodies. More of the bodies that I'd seen, all wrapped up in white material. Some of them were alive I noticed. There were a few workers in the lot, and they formed a twisted lotto game. They'd roll the numbers, and the body that had the same number got their wraps cut off. They got to run away if they were still alive. It was a strange and intensely disturbing scene, mostly because of how calm everyone was with it; other than the people who were wrapped up and hanging upside down.

I ran out into the street and saw my wife and friends, and Tom Cruise(!?). The mood of the dream changed dramatically and I randomly became lucid. I didn't know why Tom Cruise was there, but I went along with it. He had a narley car, and they wanted to go off and do something. My friend Nick jumped in the drivers seat. I motioned my hand up, and he was lifted up in the air and landed in the back seat. "Ahah, dibs." I said and flew into the drivers spot.
"Don't worry Tom, if I wreck your car- I'll fix it." I said, and took off much to fast to be safe in traffic. One part of me wanted to be safe and calm in the car, the other half just wanted to bust it's horse power. So we took off, swearving in and out of the legal peramiters of the road. I remember lastly pulling into a parking structure and everyone getting out. I'm not sure where the dream went after that, but altogether- it was a memorable night.

I had a false awakening once, and sat in bed listening to my brother Jeremy talk to his mom outside of the room. (I was spending the night) But then I woke up shortly after.

    9. A Visit to Phoenix (Night of August 22-23, 2012)

by , 09-15-2012 at 07:08 PM (The Lab Notebook)
(This is a catch-up post. This dream took place on the night of August 22-23, 2012.)

Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

My mom and I are watching a play together. The play features a girl and a creepy, life-sized puppet that is designed to be a body double of her. I see that $OfficeBoss is there, watching the play with his family. Then, my mom and I go out to the parking lot and drive away in the same car together, even though we both have cars there. We can only start one of our cars, not the other one, because neither of us has the right key for that one.

I'm in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area on vacation, visiting my good friend, JM. I have my own car
[which I never do when I go to visit him, because I always fly there and get rides around town with him and his friends - this should have been my first clue that I was dreaming, but it wasn't], and I'm driving east along the freeway, heading in the direction of JM's house. The scenery around me is incredibly beautiful and lush, with lots of desert plants.

JM and I are hanging out in a bar together, totally chilling out on a sofa. I'm drinking a beer that someone else abandoned on a table. We walk out of the bar, which is located in a shopping mall. As we're on our way out of the mall, we find another friend of ours, ET
[a human - yes, those are his initials], in another of the mall's shops. I realize it's him when I hear his voice. A bunch of our friends are with us now. ET hugs everyone in the group (myself, JM, CF, and a couple of others), except for RD. RD doesn't want to be hugged, and uses her fingers to climb up the side of a door to get away from ET. ET tickles her on the small of her back instead.

I'm walking through a beautiful Arizona landscape of desert farms,
and at this point, I finally realize that I'm dreaming. I focus on the fact that the guard dogs that many of the farms have cannot really hurt me when I'm in a dream. I run away from one of them by flying straight up, and then start flying over the lovely scenery, admiring it. Looking southwest, I can see downtown Phoenix, which has skyscrapers and a giant stone head with a big, wide-open mouth. Just after I've started flying, my alarm goes off and wakes me up.

      Date Reservation (LUCID)

As I walk past the front desk of a cafe, I see a high school classmate whom I've always thought quite attractive. I haven't talked to her in a long time, but unfortunately I'm busy. So when we make eye contact, I only say "Hi!" and indicate that I don't have time to talk. A few steps later, though, I regret it. It seems really rude to pass up the chance to catch up with an old acquaintance. I wish I was in the sort of world where I could just walk up and cuddle with people and no one would care. But wait, I am! I'm dreaming! I don't even bother with a reality check before I turn around and walk back towards her.

Hesitantly, I sidle up to her and put my arm around her waist. Her shirt feels like it's made of some kind of silky fabric. Her only reaction to this seems to be resignation; she continues talking with the front desk clerk, with occasionally a few words for me. I stare at her eyes. They're pretty, and I think green, but it's like looking at a picture. Nothing moves much, and I can't read anything from her face. Eventually she says, "Come on, our table's this way." I guess she's done arranging things with the clerk.

We have a circular table right next to a window. Every other table in the cafe has a dark surface, but ours is quartered in primary colors: one quadrant red, one green, one yellow, one blue. "Of course," I groan. Of course our table would be singled out in the most gaudy way possible. And when we get nearer, I see that my chair is covered in crumbs and other meal residue. Ugh. "Well," I say, "the only thing to do is wipe it off." We commence using our hands to brush the crumbs onto the floor. It takes a while. [Clearly I wasn't very lucid by this point.]

Meanwhile, the girl is giving me a few warnings. She says, "If this is about Uncle Bill, please don't be too awkward about it." Somehow she's romantically involved with him, I guess? It's become clear she's rather uncomfortable with the whole situation, and I'm starting to get uncomfortable, too. I wonder if maybe I should try to do some other dream goals, like swimming beneath the ocean. Maybe I could take her with me; she might like that. I ask, "Do you . . . want to go . . . somewhere else, after this?" But whatever her answer, I wake up a few moments later.

      Insomnia

      Spoiler for Insomnia:
      House of Spirits

I'm playing a game where you live in a house with a bunch of spirits. Most of the spirits are evil, so you have to fight them. It's multiplayer, and there are a few other people in the house with me right now. We're going through the rooms trying to roust all of the evil spirits so that none of them will surprise us in our sleep. Usually they don't wake up if you just walk through the room, but they will if you say anything aloud.

While sort of alone in one wing, I accidentally talk to myself, and a spirit starts to coalesce out of the air. Oops. He offers to duel with me, and he even offers to let me use a pretty nice weapon (like a crowbar or something). That's much better than the weapons this game usually lets you use, so this sounds good to me. But spirits can be tricky, so I ask him what his own weapons will be. "Oh, just this metal letter opener and [some other sharp household implement]," he replies. Then he attacks, before I have a chance to realize that his weapons are much more dangerous than mine.

We battle through hallways and rooms. Some other people see us and shout and point, and try to come to assist me. In the end, we defeat the spirit. The rest of the group continues looking for other spirits, but I suddenly realize how silly all of this is. Ghosts aren't real, and I'm tired. I just want to go to bed. My dad sees me abandoning the hunt and starts arguing with me. In response, I try to explain to him that this house isn't even real. It's virtual. Not worth worrying about, see?

    12. Slender Man Dream that made me wake up laughing.

      by , 09-15-2012 at 02:55 PM
I cant remember all the details exactly, because i woke up laughing really hard.

So, in the dream, my dad and I were walking through this abandoned warehouse. I was in a shopping cart for some reason, and when we turned a corner slender man was standing there. This happened a few more times before i realized he couldn't hurt me since i was in a dream. So, I smiled real wide and we kept walking around the place. The next time he appeared, i looked right at him with my smile and then his suit inverted, and he grew a face. His face was really terrified, like i was the scariest thing he's ever seen. Then we started flapping his arms around and running away. We chased him for a few minutes before i ended up in a bedroom by myself.

This is where it made me wake up laughing.

I laid down on the bed because I was tired for some reason. And then slender man walked through the door, he got up right beside me and i smiled again. He inverted and grew a face again, but this time, he started whistling Christmas music. Like Jingle Bells or something. Then i started whistling too.

It was such a weird dream....

    13. Very Short WILD

by , 09-15-2012 at 02:28 PM (WILD Dream Journal)
      9/15 - Short WILD

Used WBTB for about 45 minutes after waking up at 6

After laying down it took awhile to reach imagery. After reaching imagery the first time I paid to much attention to it and set myself back a bit, the next couple times the same thing happened but after a few tries I made it to a transition. My transition was a flash of white followed by the pattern that is on my blanket. I kept my eyes closed, letting the imagery fade and tried to let my dream stabilize before attempting anything. After waiting for about a minute in a black void I opened my dream eyes and found myself in a bed wrapped in covers. The images were very groggy, as I stood up I kept repeating clarity and my dream became noticeably more vivid but nothing like the level of detail I've experienced in the past. Next to the bed was a large bay window and outside of the window sat 4 empty beach chairs fully reclined on a concrete patio that was surrounded by trees. I decided I wanted to go outside so I tried to walk through the window. My attempt was unsuccessful so I walked back and ran into the window trying to pass through it. This time I slammed into the window, again failing to pass through it. As this happened people appeared outside of the window and began walking towards me. They were nonthreatening and seemed to wonder why I was running into the window. As I began to think about how to pass through the window my dream faded without me noticing and I could hear the familiar sound of my bedroom fan.

After this WILD I attempted two more. Both attempts failed and I slipped into non-lucid dreams that were very odd. One involved a FA that I never acknowledged until waking up and the other involved a group of people and a car pulling up to me demanding that I get in. After declining and walking away I had a small child tell me it was time to go on my journey and that I needed to go with the car.

Both the dreams were very thought provoking and while I did not experience the best WILD the dreams that came following the WILD were well worth the effort put into the attempts.

      Car Argument (LUCID)

From the back seat of the car, I'm having a minor argument with my parents. The situation seems a little ridiculous to me, and when my mom leans over to reveal completely gray hair done in a long braid, I'm pretty certain I'm dreaming. After a nose RC, I'm sure of it. Thank goodness I don't have to deal with this argument any more. But as I try to figure out how to get out of here and start working on my dream goals, I realize that I'm waking up. The interior of the car seems to fade into the view of my bedroom from my bed. For instance, my mom's gray hair becomes a fold in my blanket. Well, that's too bad. [Thinking about this now, there's a good chance that that was actually a false awakening. I'm not sure, though.]

      Snarl

[This dream was definitely inspired by the series of videos called "The Walls 2" recently recorded by Yogscast on YouTube, which I watched the day before yesterday. It also happened quite late in the morning (for me)--around 10:30.]

We're playing PVP Minecraft in 2-person teams. There are only two teams left. One member of the enemy team is chasing the other member of my team, while I in turn chase him. We run back to my team's base, then we sandwich him between us and kill him with swords. Excellent! Now, the other guy is hiding underneath the ground here. There are lots of holes in the ground and lots of tunnels, and it's all very confusing, so we're not sure how to get him.

We decide to build an enclosed room with a roof and a tower. So my teammate and I sit down with the Legos and start working. I begin by making the tower, which is a really tall wall built from 1x2x1 blue blocks. I get bored with how slowly it's going, so I try just spreading the blocks like I'm extending a folding telescope. It doesn't work, and my friend laughs at me for trying. Anyway, eventually I finish the tower and start working on the other half of the roof.

Suddenly I hear a violent snarl and I feel as though my head's been seized in the jaws of a big, angry dog. The snarl continues as it starts shaking my head back and forth, up and down, like a very erratic vibration. I spend a panicked second trying to decide what to do--is my friend playing a prank on me?!--before I wake up. It feels like the vibrations continue for a moment before they stop. I sit for a minute in shock before doing an RC and confirming that I'm awake.

[It's crossed my mind that maybe that was a seizure, but I doubt it. More likely I imagined it. Either way, it was a strange experience.]

      *Non-Lucid*Lucid*

I was in another dream when I became lucid and when I open my eyes again, I was in my bed looking at the ceiling. I know that I'm still lucid so I tried getting up. It took a lot of effort to simply sit up because my limbs were really heavy. I also had another problem, I keep on wanting to close my eyes. (In past lucid dreams, whenever I close my eyes, it means I will wake up so I didn't want that.) I was laying in bed again and since I couldn't move, I tried to summon PW here. It didn't work but I was out of my bed. I walked to the door and imagined Tokyo to be on the other side, but it was just the familiar hallway when I opened the door. Maybe it didn't work cause I didn't completely imagine the scene? I imagined PW's house, when I opened the door it's like her house but not really... This whole dream, I tried to keep my eyes open and I'm surprised that I didn't wake up earlier on.
