Lucid Dreams
Non-dream Dream Lucid So it's my 16th day of trying to Lucid dream and I've had my first one! I was woken up by my parent's alarm at 6.30, half way through a dream. I rolled over and went back to sleep, but I was thinking about the dream I had just had. So I guess you could say it was a DEILD because I went from a dream into another dream. I'm in Florida, going to sea world with my parents. we are getting out of the car, and my brother is complaining about having to put on sun cream. My mum points to some clothes in car and tells me I have to get changed to wear some more suitable clothes, which is weird because we were already there. We go on a water ride thing where you are in inflatable rings. My dad is convinced that the ride isn't safe. I then somehow fall over the edge, as my ring tips over, and I am hanging by my foot while still moving along. I then rise back up and get into the ring. We carry on on the ride until we get to the drop, which we go down. I suddenly teleport to a shaded area, which I think is near the exit of a ride, when my grandma texts me saying she wants to go on the walking dead ride. I am a bit unsure about this as my grandma hates any type of ride. I teleport again to a hotel, and I am in a waiting area which is near a reception. There is a boy there, about 13 or 14 years old, but the receptionist wont let him in or do anything. I am sat down with my dad, but this boy starts to really annoy us. I can't really see what he's doing, but it feels like he is clicking a pen, constantly. The dream seems to stay like this for a while, before the receptionist sends he away to the elevator and I move on again into the hotel room. This time we are packing clothes, and my mum is trying to get me to switch clothes again. This is when I'm awoken by my parent's alarm. Thinking about the dream, I go back to sleep. I am in the kitchen of my house and I immediately already know it's a dream as I enter it. I realize how thirsty I am (I was thirsty when I woke up, but I ignored it), so I say to myself that because this is a dream, I can use telekinesis. I then lift the bottle of orange with my mind, and start to make a drink. Hearing a noise from the hallway, I realize my mum is there. My mum is looking in the mirror, doing her make-up, and I realize she is completely evil. I don't know how, but I do. I then try to slap her, but because I'm not close enough, I try to slap her using telekinesis. After a few attempts, I realize it isn't going to work. By this point, my mum is glaring at me so much with her evil eyes. I try to run past her, but when I reach the doorway, my dad is there and he punches me in the face. The pain feels extremely real, and I stagger back in pain. They then shut me upstairs. I realize that this place is evil and that I need to escape, so I think of flying. I remember reading on DV that jumping off stairs can help, so I jump, fully believing that I can do it. I fall down the stairs and land at the bottom. I quickly undo the door with the key, but my dad grabs me and tries to drag me inside. Seeing people in the house opposite mine, I scream for help. My dad then lets me go, and I run outside, and past the people. I think to myself that the only way I can escape is by flying, so I try to fly over the house in front of me. I end up only being able to do a quick jump, so that I land on the small roof bit of their garage that attaches to their house. My dad begins to climb the wall, but I begin to notice the sky change. I hadn't really payed attention to it before, but it's dark, and I get the feeling of fire, like hell. Turning around, I see that some kids of dug up the road, to find lava underneath, and were jumping in it. I get the feeling that I've seen it happen before, and I see a close friend of mine trying to do it. I drag her away and try to tell her not to kill herself, but she just tells me that I'm taking away the fun. I find the kid that organized this, and who was making them do it. I order him to stop or I'll call the police. He points out that I can't do anything because I'm in a dream. I start to understand and agree with him, and the dream fades to black. Then I wake up and it's time for school.

I had my first lucid dream like 3 hours ago!! So I had been dreaming a lot of things and suddenly I wake up. And I think to myself (I hadn't moved and my eyes were still closed) if I'm quick enough I'll go back dreaming and stay conscious at the same time. The next thing I know I'm running in my street, past my house. But everything is very dark, like nightmare-ish. Then I suddenly fall to the ground and I think to myself "I'm dreaming?" So (for the first time ever in my dreams) I do a reality check and look at my hands. I have like 7 fingers and some of them are really small. It's funny but that moment I was just 'relaxed' and I thought to myself "Alright don't get too excited here". It was still very dark and if I stayed there any longer I knew something bad was going to happen. So I think "I'll just fly out of here", and so I do and I fly through the house next to me (superman-style) into the sky and BAM, I'm somewhere else. I'm hovering 50 feet above the ground and below me are many constructions and cranes. Everything was very detailed. So I look into the distance and as I gain altitude things just "pop up", like in some kind of video game. I do a reality check again and suddenly I have somekind of mission to complete. At this point I am not sure if i was still lucid, because I had to complete this mission and I didn't think to myself that in real life this wouldn't make much sense. So my question is: Can you be lucid but like play along in your dream? Because i think I did. So my mission was to infiltrate some large complex. I fly through the first wall and again, I do a reality check and still know I'm dreaming. Some people from university and some people that I don't know are with me too and are helping me. Me and a girl are in a hallway and parts of the walls and ceiling were coming towards us and would crush us. But as I knew I was dreaming and could control things, I raised my hand and with somekind of force power stopped the walls from coming towards us. I take the girls hand and jump through the ceiling and run through several walls. Finally I'm in the main office of the complex and (yeah it's stupid I know) the mission is accomplished. All of the people who helped me were there and because of this 'adventure' we all had become very close friends. We were all very sad because I knew my dream would come to an end soon and we would not remeber each other or what we had been going through. So as my lucidity is starting to weaken I quickly grab a pen and start writing the names of my new friends on the palm of my hand SO that as I woke up I knew who they were in real life and could visit them. I really hoped that it would work so that I could make contact from this dreamworld to the real world. Sadly, as I woke up nothing was written on my hand So yeah this was my first ever lucid dream. I think it was pretty cool and I think it lasted for about 15 minutes with a couple of Reality checks throughout the dream. Hopefully my dream was enjoyable to read

01/28/13 River Crossing I am flying over the Nile river when I decide to go for a Dark Tower dream shared with MoSh. I land on a beach and let the dream stabilize before opening a portal. I realize I am not alone on the beach. There are people there, and it looks like they are attacking me. They are all armed with swords, axes, and other melee weapons. I go through the portal and shut it in their faces without giving them much attention. On the other side I am in a field with MoSh. I get his attention and tell him we can go to the Dark Tower now… when I left them they were almost to Ludd. I open another portal and go through. I take MoSh with me. Now we are in the small town just outside of Ludd that is called River Crossing. There is a gun aimed at my head. Roland, who had aimed at me, lowers his gun and says popping in like that is a good way to get myself shot. He adds to MoSh and me to keep our eyes open, there are others in this town and we are being watched. A couple of really old people come out of the buildings to greet us. A man leading a blind woman. He seems to be in awe of Roland, exclaiming about finding a gunslinger after he thought all of them had passed from this world. The woman seems worried that we might be harriers. Everyone is in agreement to get off of the main road, so we go into the buildings. The interiors of the buildings are much better cared for than the outside, no doubt to camouflage the presence of these people. I look out of a window and see a good view of the road below. They were surely watching Roland and the others from shortly after they entered town. I see there are people out there, and I think they are the same people that tried to attack me on the banks of the Nile. The man is watching them, he says he doesn't like the look of them. Harriers, most likely. Not to worry, the harriers never hang around here for long, they are heading for Ludd no doubt. The blind woman shudders, the man reassures her that it is certainly safe here in the presence of a gunslinger. He says it was harriers that blinded her about 25 years ago, they used a fire poker, and they did it because they said she looked at them too defiantly. The woman shudders again. We go farther into the buildings, the man says they have lookouts that will tell them if the harriers get closer. I think maybe I should go out there and get their attention… after all, they were after me back at the Nile. They couldn't be ordinary harriers. I don't want to lead my enemies to the people of River Crossing. I tell MoSh he can stay with the others and enjoy the dream, hopefully remember something of it… but I'm going to lead my uninvited guests away. He does not object. The old people say there is no need to do that, the harriers will leave on their own. There's nothing left in River Crossing to keep them. MoSh is talking to an elderly woman about dreams. I turn and leave the group of people, sneaking out through a small hole to avoid revealing the main entrance. I call to the intruders and tell them if they want me come and get me. They yell that there she is, and they all come after me at once. I run down the street for a ways before turning a corner away from the place where the people are hiding. The harriers follow me. I open a portal and go through it, not really caring where it goes. I never find out where it leads… I wake up. Home Invaders I wake up in bed, not realizing I am dreaming. I roll over to go back to sleep but I hear noise in the other room. I grab a pole that I have near my bed, I keep it there since for a short while I had been trying to learn to use it as a staff, and I sneak to the door of my room. There are people in the other room. I think I need to call the cops. They are tearing the place apart, throwing stuff all over, emptying drawers and cabinets. They seem desperate to find something. They are breaking stuff. I go to get my phone to call the cops, just then one of the men pushes past me into my room as if I am not even relevant. They don't seem to care at all that I have seen their faces. The man starts tearing my room apart, which pisses me off. I jab him with my staff and tell him to cut it out. He seems to notice me for the first time. He says if I would return what I stole then they wouldn't have to look for it. I can't think what I stole. I can't remember stealing anything from anyone. The man resumes his search. I jab him harder with my staff. He pulls out a sword and cuts right through my cheap staff. He points the sword at me and tells me to return the artifacts. I tell him I have no idea what he is talking about, which I don't since I am not lucid. He laughs and says something about me not being dangerous, they must have just sent a bunch of incompetent morons before. I see a Templar symbol on his sword. Templars… reality check time… I pinch my nose and find I am dreaming… and my home is being invaded by Templars! I drop the remaining piece of my cheap staff. I form Witchblade into a sword. I tell the Templar to get out of my house, and he is the moron if he thinks I'd really keep anything of value hidden here. He glares at me. He tells someone to get me out of the way. I see motion behind me and I turn just in time to dodge an attacking sword and do a counter attack of my own with my Witchblade sword, running him through. I hear the Templar behind me say that there is nothing here. He tells me I won't have a moment of peace until I return what I have stolen. They start leaving through the front door, I am thinking I will have to clean up this mess before my mother wakes up. Instead I wake up.
Result of a few WILD attempts, not as good as yesterday or day before yesterday(I haven't posted both in DJ yet, need to find time to write them) but still one short lucid though, i need to practice to notice the shift to dreaming state. Nap #1(non-lucid): I and LV was playing an shmup video game with some sort of mspaint-ish graphics, i was controlling the level boss, LV was controlling the player character(both player and boss characters were girls). I was using various patterns looking at the list on the side of screen for the help on combos, LV was dodging them easily though. Then i figured out that being close to player character automatically shoots small projectiles every now and then. Eventually boss character ended up ramming player character and player character was somehow stuck outside of screen. Dream ended shortly after. Nap #2(non-lucid/lucid/FA): Not only i missed transition completely, but started the false awakening with closed eyes, i heard that my mom entered the room, but it wasn't unusual since sometimes she wakes up close to the time i was taking this nap. She started trying to wake me up so i opened the eyes and took off headphones, mom was indeed in the room, but before i could say anything i noticed that sound from headphones was still there, though i truly woke up shortly. Nap #3(non-lucid/fragment): I was shooting yellow lasers from my fingers and accidentally burned my food that way, whoops.

non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid false awakening On a cruise ship that gets stranded near the shore of an island. The captain and crew tell people not to leave the ship until we're rescued, but I feel that a storm is coming and it's dangerous to stay in the ship, so I leave with some close friends. The others are hit by the storm and of course the ship sinks and many die. But some manage to reach the island and they bring some sort of curse with them. As they set foot on the island, it turns into a desert. As I and my friends struggle to cross this desert, we see the others maybe a mile away behind us, being engulfed by a grasshoper cloud. We run to escape the bugs and I fall over a huge slab partially cover by sand, which has the map of the earth carved on. As I focus on a particular spot on that map, I feel pulled into a vortex and I fall, fall, fall into the darkness. I find myself in a dark place inside my head, I feel my "real" body outside and I realize I'm sleeping. I almost wake up but I hang in there and very faint shapes start to form. I seem to wander through a landscape as seen through a scanning microscope. I see microscopic life forms, very small seeds germinating, microbes, the detail of the "ground" with nanometric resolution. Amazing. Then I feel a force pulling me up and I rise, rise, rise. The darkness gives place to a white light that becomes brighter and brighter. I tumble through the light and then I am laid o a solid surface. I look around and I'm surrounded by ducks, a goose, water spouts, bits of grass, mud, sheep... I turn my head and behind me is a brown bear. I get scared and jump, but he seems to be more afraid and runs to the opposite direction. Then I realize there are animals of all species around me, herbivores and carnivores, all gathered, as waiting for something. I look beyond them and I see we're in the middle of some kind of square in a village, with an interesting mix of European style traditional buildings. I also spot some human beings in the distance, but before I contact them, I'm surrounded by three guys who don't seem to want to sing Kumbaya. They grab me and I use some kenpo moves in self-defense. Usually I use my dream kung fu skills, but this time I consciently applied the lessons from my real life training and it worked (I clearly notice that my left side is my weakness and that I must work it.) Also, the dudes didn't count on my ability to fly. I fly up, up, up, and the darkness descends upon me again. Everything is black, except for a faint blueish light from a window to my left. Something touches my back. A black cat makes an appearance and guides me through what seems to be a house at night. He climbs up some furniture and invites me to follow him, until we reach a door near the ceiling, which could be a door to an attic, maybe. I hear voices and lights turn up. Some guys are entering the room and I feel urgency in leaving, so I go through the door and I wake up. I get up from the couch, feeling so sleepy and my mom is standing at the door looking at me, commenting that I slept over today. "Yeah, I was so tired." But something doesn't add up and I do a RC. I am still dreaming. I think about using the opportunity but I feel the vortex sucking me again and I wake up. I did overslept and my mom had indeed entered the house, but she left when she realized I was sleeping.

Lucid Dream: I suddenly woke up. I was in my side yard. I was really surprised since I had no memory of falling asleep there. I felt really confused for a few seconds before it hit me that I was dreaming. As soon as I realized that this was a dream I jumped up and started to fly. I looked down on the rooftop of the houses that were supposedly my neighborhood. Seeing the rooftops made me remember that I had wanted to jump from roof to roof. I remembered that being more fun in some ways than just flying. So I flew down to the first rooftop and ran across it and sprang up in the air twords the next house. At first I thought I over shot it, but I landed on the far side. I ran a step or two and jumped off toward the next house. I remember enjoying that feeling of up and down and speed. After about 5 or 6 houses I woke up.
Eeep! Yesterday, I posted on one of the threads, "I will have a LD tonight. It's happening." Hahahahahahaha. I can't remember a huge amount of detail about the previous dreams I had. Some stuff about shooting arrows, family very angry with me and shouting at me, some dogs? Things like this. But anyway, I woke up around 7:40 (I think). I didn't really want to move, I was a bit spooked. But, I thought I'd try the SSILD technique. I did a few cycles, but was kind of worried about how my thoughts were wandering, because I didn't feel like they were always wandering to random scenes, sometimes they were wandering to, "How will I write this up tomorrow? What's happening?" etc. I fell asleep, but woke up quickly. It was very realistic, but I did three RCs anyway. They all failed. I reached for my phone so that I would have that to use to RC. Weirdly, I was too afraid to turn around and get it, I just sort of hooked my arm behind me and grabbed it. I kept on doing the cycles and I feel like I got better at them, lost track of where I was, how many I'd done, etc. I thought I was having difficulty falling asleep, but actually it didn't take long. I was having some dreams about being in bed, with my computer next to me. I was just chatting to people and stuff. It didn't feel like an FA; it felt like a dream, but it was kind of like, I knew it was a dream, but I couldn't be bothered calling it out on it. Like I felt passive and partially aware, but not lucid. I'm not sure. This sounds really confusing. I don't know if anybody knows what I mean. You know it's not waking life, you know it's a dream, but that's as far as you go. You might do a reality check, but you're not actively doing it, you're just dreaming about doing it. You're in the dream and you know things aren't really happening, but you haven't made that full stretch into lucidity. Anyway, I don't know what happened next, but suddenly I woke up, [or maybe my room changed and what I described above was me becoming lucid] and my computer was there but it was going wappy, and I just knew instantly I was dreaming, but this time, I was really there, I was active, inside the dream and I was aware. I sat up and held up my hand. It was dark and I could only see it's outline. It was kind of hard to focus on, but I only counted the right amount of fingers. Still, I knew I was dreaming. I shouted, "Omg, I'm dreaming!" But my voice was thick and distorted and I could feel the dream slipping, so I started rubbing my hands together and I was pleased that I remembered to do this. I calmed myself down for a second and then I got up and there were some things different about my room, and I kept on thinking, "Yes, I'm dreaming!" Normally, IRL, the prospect of waking up in my dark room, where stuff wasn't quite right, really spooked me, but in the dream, I felt confident and happy. I skipped across my room to my door and shouted out, "I will be in Teesside!" This has been a big goal for me in relation to LDing. It's all I can think about at the moment, so I think that's why I picked it. I got super- excited and thought, "Must do this NOW!" Anyway, the same thing happened to my voice and I felt the dream slipping so I remembered that I should crawl around on the floor to stabilise. So I did and it felt so unbelievably realistic that I got excited again and woke up. The time was 9:05. **************************** After a couple of minutes, it sunk in and I was overcome with emotion. The dream was short and kind of gloomy, but I'd finally had a LD! The thing that really got to me the most though was how unafraid I was. Like I said, this morning, with loads of light coming in, I couldn't even roll over to get my phone, and at night, I run back to my room, even with all the lights on. But in my dream, even with this crazy-looking computer and a dark, shadowy room, I felt nothing but joy. All those fears just disappeared. I just can't get over it; it was the most incredible feeling in the world. It's mind-blowing. Now I know why you guys are hooked I can keep this up. Lula x

01/27/13 Dark Tower Fail I am in the sky flying over the Nile river in Egypt. I land on a beach near the river and wait for the dream to stabilize. I think I would like to go for a Dark Tower dream. So I focus on opening a portal and I go through it. On the other side I don't recognize where I am as a scene from the Dark Tower. I am in some kind of underground temple ruins that look like something out of a Tomb Raider game. I wonder if this is some variation of the Dark Tower world or if I have ended up somewhere else entirely. I go with the Tomb Raider game, and I do a couple jumps from one pillar to another in order to keep off of the ground. I see there are people on the ground, they seem to be looking for something. I get the idea I'd rather not be seen by those people. I see an exit passage over a door at the far end of the room. A couple jumps get me to the passage, though I succeed in knocking some debris down as I go. Some of the people down below notice that, though they don't actually see me. One of them says they are not alone in here… another says there is an Assassin here… my thought is there is no one here but Lara Croft. I do a final jump to reach the passage over the door, though I almost miss the jump. I scramble up the edge feeling a bit less graceful than Lara Croft right now. I hear the people behind me talking about finding something before the Assassin. Assassin? Maybe I'm not playing Tomb Raider… I follow the passage over the door and drop down on the other side. There is a long hall that looks like a place that would be perfect for a trap. I think maybe I can avoid setting off any traps by not touching anything. I fly down the hall, being careful to touch nothing. The hall ends at a dead end. I think that is a bit strange. I hear an explosion behind me. Whoever is trying to get here first is behaving like a bull in a china shop. I look closer at the dead end and see there is a keyhole of some kind. It looks about the right size for a hidden blade… which I use to open it. A slab of concrete slides to the side. In the next room there is a treasure chest in the middle of the room. I open the chest and find there is a glowing orb inside it. I wonder what that is. I hear voices behind me, the people from the other room are almost here. I grab the orb and slide it into a pocket on my robes, which are my usually Assassin's Creed style robes. Now to split. I focus on opening a portal to my intended Dark Tower dream. A door forms, standing on its own in the room. I open it just as the people reach the far door and see me. I hear one of them calling to me to stop right there, but I go through the door and slam it in their faces… Note: I woke up at this point, but actually succeeded in a WBTB lucid dream that continued the same dream… House of Spiders I am in a strange house, I have just come through a door. The door closes behind me and then disappears. I wonder where I am, I pause to clear my mind. I know I am dreaming, and I know I had been looking for a Dark Tower dream. I feel the weight of something in one of the pockets of my robes. I look at it and find it is a glowing orb about the size of a baseball. I put it back. I look around the house. It looks like some kind of haunted house, and I soon remember that Jake had to pass through such a house in order to join Roland and the others. I wonder if in this case he will need help or if I'm just here to make sure it's ok. I remember MoSh. I open one of the doors off of the hall I am in with the intent of finding MoSh. The door opens on a library, and I see MoSh in the other room. He is standing near a book case full of old books, he is paging through one of them. I try to get his attention, but he seems quite distracted by the book he is reading. There is someone behind me. I turn around, certain I will see someone there, but there is no one. I go down the hall and reach a landing that overlooks what must be a living room. There are people down there, they are looking around as if confused. One of them says it doesn't matter where they are, find the fucking Assassin and get the artifact back. I recognize the people as Templars. I think they want the orb in my pocket. I am watching them when a big fat spider drops down on the railing right in front of me. Spiders don't normally bother me, but this is a fat reddish one that is the size of a softball… and I am immediately grossed out. I take an involuntary step back, issue an involuntary "Gah!" as I trip over my own feet and fall on my ass. The Templars down below hear me and one of them points and announces to the others that the Assassin is upstairs. They head for the stairs, I don't want to bother with Templars right now. I go back to the door where I saw MoSh. I get lost. I wonder how I managed to get lost when the hall had seemed so simple before. It's like the whole place has changed itself. I am in a long hall with doors on both sides. There is a Templar right in front of me, he is demanding that I hand the artifact over. Something drops on my shoulder. I practically freak out, it is one of those spiders! The Templar demands again that I hand it over… so I grab the spider and hand it to him, desperate to have it off of me. The spider feels hairy, wiggly, and gross. The surprised Templar takes the spider, then instantly drops it and steps back with a cry of shock and disgust. I don't have time to view his reaction, there are more spiders. I want out of there. I run down the hall, dodging a couple more spiders as they drop from the ceiling. I see Jake at the end of the next hall, groping at a hole in the ground. There is a door at the end of the hall that seems to be glowing. The walls of the house are moving all around me. I see figures emerging from the walls, and a large face at the end of the hall. The face has sharp teeth and it looks hungry. As if to prove that it devours the Templar in one bite. Jake is freaking out, but he has apparently gotten the key. The door at the far end of the hall opens. I head down the hall as hands reach out of the wall, groping for Jake. I use my Witchblade sword to cut the hands off of the walls as Jake finds a wall of solid dirt behind the door. More hands grope for Jake and me. I cut them off as they reach for us. A door has opened in the end of the hall. A large plaster figure is coming from the end of the hall, reaching with huge hands. Something flies in from the door… something invisible… passes by me in a rush of air and collides with the figure with a loud crash. I give Jake a boost forward (up?) through the door. Roland grasps his hands and pulls him through. He reaches back for me, but I don't make it before I wake up.
27.01.2013Reverie: Part I (DILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I was a midst a few others at twilight. The time was nearing for the day to end and we were fulfilling some duties before all the daylight was gone. I was mentioning to the others about how we needed to do this so someone would get what they deserved. There was some sort of odd notion about that while we were sweeping sand with small wooden tools. Each tool had an end with three prongs on them. We were in a giant field of sand. Near the center, the sand was a dark green color, whereas it was fairly normal near the outer edges. I was going very swiftly through the motion of sweeping the sand, and my tool broke so as to only contain one prong. I stopped to look at it for a moment before continuing like nothing had happened. I finished what I was doing and paused to look out over the land before me. I could see the sun setting and casting a beautiful red and pink glow on a magnificent city below me. It was vast and chrome the way it was constructed. The buildings looked respectable and epic while the surrounding area only complimented its beauty. With a sudden moment of realization, I thought to myself about how I had had this dream a time before, and that it was really not surprising that this very scenario would be abe to induce lucidity. And at that very same moment I became lucid. My eyes seemed more open that ever, contrary to previous dreams of blur and confusion. I looked carefully out at the surroundings, and felt the sand underneath my feet. I thought about the feelings and the sights and the sounds. I could hear people conversing near me and I stepped on the sandy area. Near the middle I stopped and made myself a goal. It was to look at my surroundings, record what they looked like, an then write something down so I could try to remember the details when I woke up. So I started surveying the area, but didn't get farther than noticing a fireplace like heap of wood sitting near me in addition to different patterns in the sandy floor. After noticing this, I realized the importance of having paper and a writing utensil. I turned to my left and went into a small hut in which there was a drawer. I pulled it open only to find a pencil that I intentionally knew I was going to find in addition to a small notepad that I soon held in my hand. I was in the hut and as I walked out, I thought to myself about staying lucid. That was a big concern of mine, seeing as my dreams are often short once lucidity is attained. I walked closer to the exit while knowing what I was going to do. In a somewhat chaotic, in the sense of the dream, fashion, I walked out onto the sand and told myself to begin spinning. I closed my eyes, which I wasn't absolutely sure I should be doing, and I told myself it was a dream while spinning around fairly quickly. The most magical and real feeling swept over my body. A gust of cold wind surrounded my body and I could feel it with every part. It was frigid, but I knew it was a good thing. It felt so surreal. But there were some complications with the spinning. I found myself in the very same situation that I had in previous dreams. My eyes felt like they were opening and that I was coming back to my bed where I lay in waking life. I really concentrated on what I could do to stay in the dream. I pressured my mind and my body into consistence. I realized, that, perhaps, the method of lucidity production was less in the feelings of waking life, but more in those of the dream realm. I thrust my body upward as if taking a large jump. At first, I let myself fall at a normal rate. The second time, I relaxed my body and let it fall at a slower rate than gravity could provide in waking life. My body felt separate, different. It was invigorating. I finally did it a third time only to find myself floating gracefully and gravityless down to the ground of the very same dream. I was completely excited about this new found accomplishment. I ran toward the dream characters nearest to me to tell them of my amazing feat. I told one woman, and she seemed interested at first when I told her I was lucid, but she soon continued to talk with another character about the set and technical aspects of a musical production from waking life. They continued walking into another type of hut, still adorned with curtains like the first, but much taller. There were several more dream characters inside, and I felt the need to talk to them and make sure that, if there was a possibility that they could be actual minds, they knew what this was. I told them that it was a dream and that when they wake up, they needed to remember it so they could tell me of the connection. But they all seemed somewhat disconnected. There was, though, a point where I engaged myself with a dream character portraying someone I had not seen in ages, so I grabbed his arm, looking him in the eye, and made it known the importance of what was going on, regardless of how little we had talked recently. My attention turned to Riley, a good friend, and my need to convince him of the current state of being that we shared. I intentionally lifted myself into the air, flying, to the top of the hut. There was a smooth, thick stone roof that curved and formed a circular contour on the top of the structure. I flew to the top, put myself slightly over the edge toward the middle before falling moderately back to the ground. I looked to Riley and we began to talk of a debate we had had in the past. It was about whether or not someone in a movie was flying. And the question was whether or not a jetpack added to the person made it legitimate flying. I jumped up and over a counter in a manner different than waking life, an interesting arch movement to different section of the hut. I landed and immediately look to the first female dream character and retorted a comment about how peculiar it was to be debating and fighting during a lucid dream such as this. Soon after, I left the hut and figured that my mission was complete, so I let myself seem to fall asleep or, at least, leave the dream world. I awakened with an interesting amount of energy. I was around a group of people all wearing clothing that was much nicer than I expected. Suits and ties were worn while they were all sitting in the grassy plane of a park. There were a few large cottonwood trees surrounding the area along with white recreation tents. It seemed like a wedding mixed with some sort of outdoor festival. Few tables were placed. I mentioned something about the dream in hopes that people would respond with acknowledgement of the experience. But the people only laughed and scoffed in my face. I only then proceeded to walk around the odd, carnival-like atmosphere until the dream ended.
Fragments (LUCID) [Okay, I know this was a lucid dream, but I didn't have time to record it at the time, regrettably. Here's what I can remember.] A topless girl is in bedroom. Later, I reset to a checkpoint in a bedroom. I unplug the ethernet cable. Outside there is a TV. Earlier I was tasting Goldfish and some other food. I go out to a glowing hall. An old man catches my attention: I wonder if he's my dream guide. I approach him and open my mouth, but he cuts me off. "Shut up, just shut up and follow that guy," he says, pointing. "We'll meet you here in a few hours. Don't look for us; we'll find you. Shut up and follow him." So I do. I catch up to the other guy. He comments that I was the fastest person to catch up so far. I arrive in a common area with people wearing Hogwarts uniforms. They've been training their lucid skills inspired by the Harry Potter universe. Right now they're trying to jump up and touch the high, vaulted ceiling of the room. Someone says something about having enough brains. They don't think I can do it because I've only just started training. But I try, and after a few warm-up jumps, I manage it. Somehow a backwards roll is involved.
Non-Lucid: I'm in this dark room with about 6 people. There are some people dressed in weird costumes like alien shit but I disregard it and am talking to this black guy on a couch. Some white girl to the right of me starts sucking me off and I'm laughing because it's tickling me. I wake up for maybe 20 seconds then I close my eyes. Before I realize it my body goes numb and I can't move, so I'm stuck looking at nothing until I can create a dream landscape. I decide I'll just go back to the dream I was in before to get my dick sucked again (classy right?). Semi-Lucid: My view appears in this old town from Europe that I believe the dream was before. My view glides through this path in the town until I come to the end where there's a wall and a room to the right of me which I believe to be the dark room I was in before. I go in to the room and it's another old town room with like fake people dead in it or something. I fly past and then I start to pick up I'm in the video game World of Warcraft and I see my character running under my view. This makes me laugh and I think of how crazy it is that my mind can remember/make up the words and quests that appear on my screen. I talk to some people who I believe to be part of some brewfest event in the game and they give me quests which are lazely thought up in my head. Suddenly the dreamscape fades to black matter again. Semi-Lucid: I'm sitting in this state of black matter and all I can think of is trying to get back to that girl sucking my dick (I know very mature of me) so I start to imagine a strip club. The black matter seems to shift with this loud noise from what I remember as a retro mario game noise. I keep thinking of different things in a strip club and they start to sort-of appear in my vision. Then I get it all together and all at once I appear into this strip club. To the left of me is a pool table that I'm sitting at but facing right to look out at the dance floor where there are strippers. I turn back to the table to see Bryan Cranston from breaking bad in his Walter White character to the right of me. I turn left and to see he's talking to some white guy with a knife in his hand. Bryan asks him a question and there's a response but I don't remember what they were, then I turn to the front to see an italian man with a goatee answering the same question. Non-Lucid: Suddenly my view turns normal back into a normal dream and then I wake up. This is all semi-lucid because the lucid dream was as clear as normal life but I wasn't fully aware of the power I had in controlling the dream.
I fell asleep at around 8:10 AM and woke up at 9:02 AM. The dream began in an unusual setting; I was in the basement of my cousin's house searching for an old laptop I thought I may have left there. My cousin was with me and we were discussing recent events and the very topic we were discussing conflicted with the activity I was engaged in. I realized I didn't need that old laptop when I have a newer more powerful PC at my house. This recollection influenced my decision to perform a reality check. I looked at my hands and instantly realized I was in a dream. I was unable to focus on the texture of my palms and my fingers bulged significantly. I informed my cousin that I have come to the realization that I am in a dream, then my cousin laughed at the absurdity. I spun and changed the environment to an outdoor setting. I was in a field not too far from my current home. I launched myself into the sky and flew North toward some woods. As I hovered over the familiar woods; I began to enter unknown territory and the terrain below me became unrealistically vibrant. During the flight I altered the appearance of trees, ground patterns, and mountains. I re-designed the world as I perceived it and the typical wave of euphoria fell over me. I landed in someone's backyard near a pool. I met a woman named "Ashley" and what we discussed pertained to college but I'm unable to recall the actual dialogue. I decided to jump into the pool. The water was warm and felt thicker than real water. I forced myself under and didn't bother holding my breathe due to the fact that I am aware there's no need. I swam deeper and the pool suddenly seemed less like a pool and more like the ocean I continued swimming in the endless pool and encountered rough sea coral and indistinct colorful shapes. I surfaced and found myself in the middle of the ocean. I spun around and I was back at the pool and Ashley was laughing and asked me an unexpected question about my hair's length (I've been considering a haircut for some time now). I swam toward the side of the pool and things became fuzzy. I didn't bother prolonging the dream with spinning and decided to let myself awaken. I woke up, got out of bed, and went to my bathroom and turned on my shower. I walked past my mirror and the reflection seemed a little unusual, my eyes seemed closer together and slanted and as I stared I noticed shifting proportions. I checked my hands and became aware of the false awakening and attempted to awaken myself again; this time with success.
I first dreamt that I was at school. I think I was either there for review or exams. At the school I saw a guy from my school and acted like my usual shy self. At one point he put his head close and looked at me and said “Hi” quietly and I said “Hi” back as well. He then pointed and said, “Look”. I looked to where he was pointing and saw that Aurora (my pet dog) was lying down by me looking cute. Later I left to drive somewhere for some reason. It seemed pointless why I drove though since I simply drove into the country and then returned home. After driving though I said “Well, at least I got some driving practice.” When I returned home for some odd reason the same guy from my school was there visiting (don't really know him well at all). I feel like there might have been some of my relatives visiting as well but I’m not sure. I later dreamt that I was on a pirate ship and stole something from the pirates, then climbed up their mast, and flew away. I flew very high (I wonder if their ship was in the sky) and sprouted wings, but it seemed like my body was too heavy and the wings didn’t help that much and I started to drift downwards. I appeared to be semi-lucid at this point since sprouting wings again and flying has been one of my dream goals for a while. Strangely, the captain followed me. He jumped off his boat and fell from the sky with me. I was falling towards a city with tall buildings, but for some reason the stuff didn't look that interesting or detailed so I tried to focus to make it feel/look more realistic. While falling I saw a temple that apparently was related to me. It was supposed to have my special object inside, whatever that was.
This lucid was fueled by pure desperation. I've never fought this hard to save an LD that was going bad, but it paid off. I'm getting a lot of mileage out of this gladius thing. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #58: Generosity and Giants A young woman named "Crystal Fleming" is collecting money for a charity, and I've pledged $33.13. I'm proud of my "generosity" and totally thrilled that I've found exact change down to the penny. But now I can't find Crystal. It's night, and I trudge across a snowy field to a picnic table where I think she might be waiting. But rather than Crystal, seated at the table is my friend W. This is unexpected, and as soon as I question whether I'm dreaming, I know that I am. I tell W, "Gotta go, this is a lucid dream." His face is harshly lit, stony, and expressionless. I realize we're in a small, dark room now, getting darker by the moment. I head for the exit, but the scene fades... Now I'm in the dark. I'm desperate for a lucid dream, though, so there's no way I'm letting this one go. I start swinging a gladius (ancient Roman sword) and willing myself to be in the Colosseum for Task of the Year. On top of this I shout, "This is still a lucid dream!" I hear Wife muttering and rolling over nearby, and now I'm scared that I'm really yelling and waving my arms around in the bedroom. I want a lucid too badly to stop trying, though, so I jam the index and middle finger of my left hand into my mouth and start chewing on them. This all feels totally real, but I decide to ride it out to the end. If I look like a psycho, I look like a psycho. I'm not dropping this LD. Suddenly, a sharp new dream scene forms: I'm standing on our bed, fingers in my mouth, swordless right hand swinging madly. The scene's extremely vivid, but there's a slight motion to everything that I see, like I'm slightly drunk. I hop down from the bed and run out into the hall. The hallway outside of our bedroom is totally transformed. The carpeting is bright pink and the room is decorated floor to ceiling with stuffed animals. There's an exit to the right that doesn't exist IWL, so I explore it, curious where it leads. I find myself in a new hallway with a tall picture window overlooking an early morning street scene. I phase through the glass out onto the street. The street is wet as if it rained overnight. A few cars pass by, headlights on. It looks like a work day that's just beginning. I fly up into the air, but my confidence isn't what it should be. My altitude is low and my speed's really pitiful. There's an entrance to a mall food court nearby, and the dream seems to be ushering me toward it. I don't resist. In spite of the early hours, this food court is packed. It's a two story mall, so I try flying again, getting about 6 feet off of the ground and doing that slow drift again. I spot my reflection in the exit door on the opposite side of the food court. Except the reflection isn't me flying -- it's my 6'8" Uncle J walking toward the door with me flying over his shoulder. He looks solid, substantial, and real, while I look like some kind of phantasm. I look down, and he's not there. But in the glass's reflection, he's solid-looking and completely realistic. Now I can't decide whether I'm me flying toward the door or if I'm my gigantic uncle, lumbering toward the exit on foot. I switch between feeling like I'm the one flying... then the one on foot... then both... I raise my hand to phase through the door. Uncle J's reflection does the same. The phase fails. From below, an attractive DC calls to me, saying, "Hi! Come down here." The LD's starting to feel thin and I float down. The DC is about 30 with long, dark hair, and attractive almost to the point of absurdity. I remember reading Waggoner during my WBTB and want to ask her what she represents. I feel weak and insubstantial, though, and my voice is just a hoarse whisper. She looks at me, arms crossed, a wry smile on her face and the scene fades to black.
