    1. The Giant Killer

Finally on the board for Task of the Year 2014!!

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #206: The Giant Killer

I sense a transition into the dream state, but just as it begins I hear our dogs start barking downstairs. Wife stirs in the bed next to me and I wonder how much of this is pure dream and how much of it might be sounds and sensations from waking life bleeding over.

I will myself to roll out of bed OBE-style and I decide to phase downstairs to see what the dogs are on about. I pass through walls and the floor like a ghost and I think to myself that “I’m spirit walking.”

I pass through one last set of walls and the geometry gets weird for a moment and I wonder if I’m losing this dream. I rake my fingers across the floor but I pass right through. Still, it seems to bring me back into the experience and there in front of me are our 2 dogs laying on the floor panting.

Their food and water bowls both lay empty and I figure that’s what they were making a fuss about. Even though I’m still floating like a ghost, I’m able to grab the water bowl and sling it across the room and it clangs realistically against the floor. I consider asking Wife the next morning if she heard any of this commotion.

I head out into the garage, walking like normal now. Rather than phase, for some reason I lift the garage door manually and walk out into the night. I move past the circular driveway to the grass, thinking of the Jack and the Beanstalk Task of the Year. I dig a quick hole and everything’s feeling very vivid now. I do a behind-the-back summon of a seed which feels very half-hearted but fortunately still does yield a tiny seed. I quickly cover it over with dirt.

For water I move my hands in a little sprinkling motion over the little mound and a few drops of “rain” fall. The plant immediately springs up through the ground and stretches skyward. It looks like a normal vine at first but as it continues up it looks more like a twisting rope bridge that goes all the way up into the clouds.

I grab the lower rung and start hauling myself up but I feel like I’m getting nowhere and won’t ever be able to tackle all that distance. I decide that the planks are being reeled in from above and are pulling me up toward the clouds. It works! In a couple of spots the planks twist and turn oddly as if they’re trying to throw me off, but I ignore this and before long I’m at the top! I float up over the edge into what looks like a restaurant that’s being prepared for a party.

Two women standing nearby appear to be in charge of the scurrying wait staff. One of the women, an attractive lady in her early 40s, looks up at me as I walk nearby. She has a streak of her short brown hair bleached almost white. My task is the defeat the giant that lives up here, so I ask, “Where’s the giant?” She points behind me and to my left.

When I turn, there’s a guy roughly 9-10 feet tall walking through the door of the restaurant. He’s mid-40s with dark hair and a thick, barrel-chested build. “So you’re the giant?” I ask leadingly.

“That’s right,” he says and immediately takes a swing at me. His punch catches me square in the face but I decide that it will have no effect. I wind up not feeling anything or even falling back and it kind of feels like cheating. I strike at the man, trying what I for some reason think is a “kidney punch” but actually hit him in the side of the gut. He winces a bit but doesn’t move much.

I follow this up with a kick to the body and the giant clutches at his chest. I feel like this is working but I become paranoid about losing the dream, so I leap up and grab onto the giant’s face. I try to do this thing where I burn him with my hands but it completely fails. The failure makes me kind of vicious and desperate, so I gouge at his left eye with my right thumb and then strike him on the neck with my forearm. He collapses hard to the ground and I go with him. As I’m picking myself up to see what’s next,
      the dream ends.
    2. Dog Blood Everywhere

      by , 04-23-2014 at 12:41 PM
April 23, 2014: I am rummaging through an attic filled with a multitude of stacked cardboard boxes and plastic bins of various shapes and sizes. They are sloppily and haphazardly stacked, and there are no markings to indicate their contents. I am looking for something, but I don’t know what. I am finding all manner of worthless things, such as used crumpled tissues.

Now I am outside on the front lawn of my ancestral home in *********, not far from the driveway leading to the garage. I can see past the driveway, a little way onto the lawn on the other side of the driveway. There is what appears to be a wounded or dead squirrel. A bit further away, there is an adult male golden retriever standing placidly. The squirrel is face down with its legs splayed and is not moving. A blackbird or crow lands right next to it and pecks at it a couple of times. The squirrel immediately comes alive and goes crazy. It runs around frantically, in a panic, and ends up biting the golden retriever severely in its right groin area and penis, and the dog begins to bleed profusely. Blood gets distributed all over the lawn as the dog runs on the property.

The dog ends up on the front lawn, and Lynne appears. She puts two fingers on the dogs right femoral artery and the horrendous, abnormally excessive arterial bleeding stops. Now there is a small dressing on the wound, and no apparent blood on the dog or the dressing, which is white and taped in place. Lynne builds a tent around the dog to shade and protect it. The dog is weak from anemia. The dogs owners (a man and a woman) walk up to us from the direction of ****** ***** Road. We tell them what happened and they disappear.

My dead (IRL) father is on the front lawn, very close to the house. Lynne, the dog, the tent and I are close to the street. A lawn sprinkler system comes on, but instead of water, it is spraying arcs of blood from the dog which has evidently seeped through the soil into the system of pipes. Dog blood is being sprayed everywhere by the gallon every second. I get sprayed with blood and am grossed out. I yell frantically to my father to shut off the sprinkler system. In opening my mouth to yell, I get a small quantity of aerosolized blood in my mouth, enough to taste it. I wake.

      March 29 2014

I am talking to my mom, in my room. I am standing with my legs
Even tough i cant walk in RL. I forgot what i was talking about with my
Mom. I kinda noticed that i could walk (not lucid yet). Then i looked at my hands but i just ingnored them. i look my hands again, i notice my fingers were changing every damn time. Then i went lucid, the dream is a little blurry. I just glare at my mom and walk out of the house. i shouted "increase lucidity" a few times then it was completly clear. Outside at the garden i noticed that there was a fountain instead of a dead tree. Then i walked to the road and looked around. in front of me there was a red house, there were a few cars on the road. I walked down the road and pointed my hand at a car then expected it to flip, it didnt flip tough. I ingnored the car. Suddenly i heard a shout. Someone: BEHIND YOU!!!! me: * looks behind* . Two kids were running, A BIG GODDAMN BLACK DOG was running at me. I looked at the side of the road, and i run fast and jumped in the air and i falled down and woke up.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      feelings- happy, joyful, scared
      reality checks- looking at hands

    4. Married to my dog

      by , 03-04-2014 at 06:43 PM
I am unhappily married to my dog. We're sitting in the couch watching a movie as I begin plotting the divorce. I'm not sure how to do it without hurting her feelings or causing conflict in my family.
She jumps down from the coach and walks away in her green coat. What have I gotten myself into?

      I wake up.

    5. Stay Away From My Dog Max!

      by , 02-20-2014 at 04:04 PM
I had a dream I was on my bed laying down in the dark. Suddenly a small light blue thing with eyes that could fly came out of the wall. When I saw it I called my mom who was in her room.[Our rooms are next to each other since the room is divided] She said "what?...". Than I decided not to call her again cause i had a feeling only I could see it. I grabbed it but it pulled itself away from me and left.
I than got up and looked at the living room and there was a door and the room was filled with white mist. Almost like clouds in the room. But I decided to stay in my room because it looked scary. That's when I appeared in another setting outside and there were these asian boys discussing something but they didn't want me there so i walked away.
I than appeared at my house again where i saw my brother and this little boy.[6 years old maybe]The boy asked for a towel so I got him one. But than I saw him walking to the backyard where my dog max is and the door was a little open. I ran in front of the boy and I was like "whoa! You cant go out there. Max is outside." Than I saw something on the floor and ate it. It began to poison me. That's when the little boy grabbed my hand and led me to the bathroom.
My vision was starting to blur. He turned on the sink and after filling a cup and pouring water into my mouth and me spitting it out a couple of times i was okay. But than the bathroom was suddenly flooding so i picked up the boy and we exited the bathroom. However, when I put him down he started walking to the backyard again. I told him again " You cant go there! Max is over there!". Than his response was
      " But the dog".
I than turned around to see max behind me and quickly grabbed the boy and ran outside. I was screaming for help as Max growled and jumped at us. After jumping on a table i noticed a bee. [I'm really afraid of bees but I was more concerned with the dog trying to bite the boy] That's when I looked up and saw my mom staring at the window. I screamed out for help and than I was like " God! Someone! Help me!".
But she just stared at the window with a whatever face.
That's when i was like I've got to put an end to this. So I grabbed my dog by the mouth and closed it with my two hands but he opened it again so i used my hands to keep him from closing it. It looked like i was gonna kill my dog but after my dog started to faint and fainted I began to fall onto the ground where he fainted with the boy in my arms and the dream ended.

      by , 01-31-2014 at 04:39 PM
This was one of those rare lucids that I had without employing WBTB. Some pre-bed MILD work did the trick! (Edit: Almost forgot -- thanks to Art for psyching me up to have an LD yesterday! Totally helped.)

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #183: The Inventor

I’m sitting on a park bench, working on plans for an invention. It’s some kind of very high-end computer device and I’m drawing up some tweaks for making it much less expensive and bringing it to the mass market. I’m writing all of these plans with pencil on a rectangular, shiny piece of green plastic.

A woman wearing workout tights jogs by. She looks great and I blatantly stare at her. I become dimly aware that I shouldn’t be staring at people and start to wonder what’s making me act this way. It dawns on me that
      I’m dreaming.

I get up from the bench and look out over the park that I’m in. It’s grassy, dotted with trees, and maybe 200 feet further on is a brick building that looks like a schoolhouse. There’s a low stone wall behind me. To my left there’s a street with a few cars driving down it.

I’m convinced that it’s a dream but everything is so vivid that I feel a little worried. One of my contacts feels like it’s drifting in my eye and my vision shifts just as if this had actually happened. Now I try drawing on the green plastic with my pencil and I’m able to scratch out persistent lines that look completely convincing.

I wonder whether I’ve finally confused waking life for the dream world. I feel some paranoia settle over me, but I dissipate it by drifting back and forth over the grass without taking a step. Okay, yes, definitely dreaming. I cap it off with a nose pinch reality check and I feel settled again.

Now I see Wife and my oldest son E approaching me from the direction of the schoolhouse. They look completely realistic and again I fight the unsettling sense that I’ve confused reality for a dream. I hit another nose pinch to settle myself down. How can everything look so real?

A huge, lean brown dog approaches us. His head is as high as my chest. It’s the first surreal thing I’ve seen in the dream so far. Wife is focused on rummaging through E’s schoolbag and doesn’t acknowledge that the dog is here.

The dog starts to growl and bark at us, approaching uncomfortably close. Wife and E don’t react. “You see that dog, right?” I ask them.

“Sure,” says wife nonchalantly. I don’t want the dog bothering my family’s DCs so I offer him my left forearm. He bites down on my arm and whips his head back and forth. I’m sure there’ll be no pain, though, and of course there isn’t.

After a moment of this, the dog lets go, sits down, and starts panting. He seems friendly now and I'm almost glad he's there. It helps make me sure that this is all a dream. Wife finishes up with E and we walk together past the low stone wall as
      the dream ends.

    7. Flight Into Space, Moon Room, Cheerleader; 2 WILD Attempts Become 2 DILDs

      by , 01-26-2014 at 02:58 AM
      1/25/14**

Interesting development tonight! Instead of some previous experiences where it felt like mechanics were involved in countering my lucidity...tonight both LDs felt like I was suspicious I could be dreaming and I was getting nudges of help or clues! I think this was due to my re-inspired self awareness work! Anyway busy today got to be brief. First LD I was sitting outside with a heavy-set black guy with mostly shaved head but a slight fade. For the second night in a row I see something interesting about the stars in the sky (previous night I was just focusing on a good night's sleep and got a fantastic show in the sky that was non lucid; stars lighting up unusually and then became firework sounds behind a cloud and then very clear and vivid fireworks with animation in the sky thinking it was a little late for fireworks - felt like 10:30 p.m. in the dream - and it turned out to be some advertising campaign but so beautiful!) anyway I tell that guy that those stars
look unusual, the constellation was laid out with so many stars kind of in a shape of a boot and as I was pointing it out the whole constellation lit up (lucidity help#1) and I realized that I must be dreaming but it felt so real but I said no I must be dreaming. I decided to RC by flying up into the sky. Yep! I am thinking what now and think of flying to the moon and I look for the moon as I'm floating high up in the sky. I see the moon and start flying towards it and as I get close I go to land and somehow end up in a big L shaped room that looked like an abandoned club house or game room with items at each end of the L. I think okay is this supposed to be on the moon? Sure enough I'm bouncing around the room with moon like gravity! It is actually a whole lot of fun! After bouncing around for awhile I look at the front door to this big room and I think about what they were talking about in the last podcast and decided I would go out a different way
and flew up through the roof as if it were not there. I'm floating in the sky again and I look for some interesting stars to fly to and think about the tip from Sivason. As I focus on each star they move a little to the right or a little to the left. Finally I find one that seems to stay fixed and I focus on it as I begin to fly towards it but then I lose sight of it but I can feel that I am deep in space and it feels a little weird like gentle pressure waves rolling against me. I feel lost out here so I decide to teleport back to the L shaped room and bounce around some more. I l
ost lucidity either here or through the FA that followed. A guy similar to the one at the beginning of the dream was there and had a habit of turning on multiple TV'S...like a compulsion. This was after a normal wbtb about 4 hours in. Woke up from LD#1 around 5am. Did a more lazy wbtb with less SSILD cycles overlayed with mantra that I stop & realize I am dreaming + one that I
recognize the transition (both were WILD attempts turned DILDs). 2nd LD I was in what was supposed to be my grandparents house. I was helping my grandmother with something in the garage and she decided it was time to go to bed and she went on towards bed and as I passed the laundry area(?) between the garage and the house I spilled something on the floor and it got worse as I tried to stop the spill. I went in to the bathroom to clean up I guess and heard a jingling sound then saw a small white fluffy dog and thought hmm I guess that is their dog. Then I see a taller majestic grayish blackish dog and think that is strange...doesn't seem like any dog of theirs and think this could be a dream. Nudged again (lucidity help#2) I see someone walking towards me in a bear suit and I say now I know I am dreaming! I fly up out of the house and it is daytime whereas before it seemed like night. There is a line of college cheerleaders (male and female) out in
front of the house performing. Like in one of my HHs earlier where a woman in a skirt had one leg propped up on something provocatively, I saw a cheerleader standing legs split with a "come hither" look and I swooped down to the ground below her and worked my way towards performing oral on her as she grabbed at my junk, enjoying the experience
but eventually faded back to bed.

I wake to the start of multiple cries, and realize I'm in a group. Apparently, soldiers have taken our homes, and used them as refuges for a long time. We were ready to be rid of them, and their tyrrany.

I was the leader, and asked the people if they had any ideas. One said that they all went into a store at a certain time of the day - right now, in fact. I ask around, asking what we should do.

One of the people spoke up, saying we should lay a trap. We all comply with this, and begin to set it.

We used C6, a highly explosive substance, as the killer. We set it, and are ready to go, until the one that set it mentioned that one should stay behind. I volunteered, and told everyone to leave. I bring up a rifle, and position myself near the door, a safe distance away.

Three of them walked out, and were instantly consumed by blazing heat and cold stones. One runs out, trying to go left, but I take him out easily.

One dives for cover, which prompted me to draw him out. I went around, and he makes a dash for a long tunnel in the middle of the area. I steady myself, breath deeply, and prepare for his arrival.

The soldier suddenly pops out, like a gopher, right into my red dot sight. Two clicks of the trigger, and he is dead.

A little HUD piece popped up in my vision, telling me I'd only gotten five out of the seven that had come here. I dropped the rifle and begna to search around for the other two.

I was taken to a dog daycare, which was one of the houses with a large fence around it. I walk in, and sign my name on the in/out sheet. I'd been here before - my signature was there from two days ago.

I give the woman $5 as she rattles on about her navy experiences to her friends. I was going to go inside her house, but the door led me into darkness.
      ____________________
I am in bed, but not my usual bed. Next to me was another bed, housing my brother and a dog. The TV was on, playing some cartoon.

I wondered why the dog never slept with me, and instantly the dog jumped to my bed. I was too big, the bed too small, which left no room for the dog to sleep. It (For I didn't know its gender) hopped back to my brothers bed, and rested.

In the blink of an eye, the room shifts. I'm close to the door now, still in bed, but now my dad is in the room, smiling.

The dog jumps at him, and jumped into him, as if he were a portal. I did a reality check, and realized that I was dreaming.

My brother said, "Cooooool, we're dreaming!" right after.

I was about to get up and leave, but my dad said "Wait, I want to show you something." Interest piqued, I sat down.

He handed me a red plastic cup, and tol me it was cookies and creme. I tilt it in my mouth, but nothing comes out. Suddenly, a burst of flavor fills my mouth and throat. I had to shut my eyes in ecstacy.

Right then, I remembered Basic Task II. I slowly counted to 10 with my fingers, still drinking from the air in the cup. When my eyes opened, the room had shifted yet again.

I was in the far corner, the room darker now. A light hum and a gentle glow permeated my senes, prompting me to go investigate. It was a computer hooked up to a toaster.

I type in coffee, and out pops a thin and tall pop-tart. I take it, and take a bite, surprised to have it taste flaky, instead of hard. The coffee taste was sweet, with an underlying tone of bitterness
(Usually, I put a bunch of creamer in coffee - I dislike it most of the time).

I go outside the door, and are taken into a schoolroom. There was a mansion model on one of the desks, and it must've been for me, for my last name was on it. I investigate the model, only to soon awaken.

    10. Nov 29, 20 Dream Journal: Pu Pu Platter of Dreams

      by , 12-01-2013 at 02:33 AM
These are all coming from memory, so they are just remnants of what I can recall:

      Nov. 29 pt. 1
I'm at the top of a very thin mesa in the desert, and I'm looking for an ancient city/treasure. I also happen to be friends with a small pack of desert wolves (awesome!). I descend via rope through an opening to enter the mesa, while the wolves remain up top as guards. There is a path/tunnel on my landing spot, and I follow it with my torch.

Dream ends when my alarm went off.

      Nov. 29 pt. 2
Not very clear, but I know that I'm in my "general" persona again in one of my dreams. I see a world map, and the faction I'm in is based on an island off the northeast section of the world. I'm tasked with spreading our territory, but the entire coastline is blocked off by a faction that's at least 20 times bigger than us.

In another, I was supposed to be playing a concert. Only I'm in no way, shape, or form nearly good enough to be playing in stadium, so I'm real nervous about dick-fingering it up on the stage.

There were a couple more, but they were muddled at best.

      Nov. 30
I vaguely recall I was in a game show? I say this because I remember a very gaudy, lit background with a backdrop, so that is probably a stage. The "host" is a man in a green pin-striped suit, and he also sports an over-the-top blond pompadour. He has an exaggerated speaking-style, kind of like a hype man, and I'm speaking to him face to face.

In another dream, I was playing with a golden retriever in the city. I was throwing a Frisbee, but I keep throwing wide, and the dog is starting to get pissed off at me for my horrible tosses.

I think I was also a cop in another dream, but that's a guess at best.

      ______________________
The scenario started out with me in an apartment, with my mom. It was a junky looking place, paint peeling off of walls.

I went outside, and checked the town out. It was a bright day, possibly the middle of the day.

Soon enough I got lost within the labyrinth of a place, and tried ot make my way back. The route I'd chosen to go back home took me through a run-down section of the town. Old houses, worn with age, plagued the area; It made me think that this was a boil on the town's face.

I tried to ask some people as ot where the apartment complex was but nobody was able to speak english; they all spoke in a language I'd never heard before. Puzzled, I make my way through the maze, and eventually find my way back.

Night had fallen the instant I stepped inside. And what was waiting inside, but a trusty dog. It was not a golden retriever, however - this one was a keshond. It greeted me, and I took a seat on the floor.

The dog layed across my lap, and I stroked its long, black fur. I eventually heard a knock on the door, and went over to answer it.

When I opened it, I walked into another dream.
      ______________________
I walked into a large house, it looking much cleaner and newer than the apartment. Stepping inside, I could smell the fresh country air leaking in from the windows.

I heard footsteps around the house soon after. Panicked, I swiftly made my way out of the complex, but not quick enough to see, out of the corner of my eye, a woman.

She was a medium, I knew that instantly - how, exactly, I could not figure out. In fact, I'm still perplexed as to how I knew such.

As I made my way down stone steps to the road, I hear from the back of me, "Do you know whos scizzors these are?"

Curiosity overtaking me, I look over my shoulder. Instantly, I felt a sucker punch to my emotons as I whisper every so quietly, "Oh my God."

The pair of safety scizzors belonged to a friend I had a long time ago - one of the only ones I'd had at the time. I'd moved away, and never heard from him again.

Warm tears began to streak down my face as I stare up at them. It was small, but I could clearly see the scizzors. She began hurriedly walking down the steps, saying somehting about the hospital, but my emotions had completely overtaken my body; I was frozen in place.

I shut my eyes to wipe the fluid away, and therein changed the scenario.
      ______________________
In that instant, I was inside of a van, which was pulling up to a flat house. I got out, and inspected the outside. My mission was clear: I was to plant a device in this persons' house without them knowing. It was their birthday, and we wanted to discreetly let him know we had a party planned.

I walk up to the house, and quietly open the front door. I dive for a counter, hiding behind it, as he'd come to inspect why the door was open.

I make my way to the east side of the house, going for a corner. I planted the device on a windowsill, being careful to balance it. It was a birthday timer, set to go off at 12:00 AM, which was approaching fast. It was going to shoot off tiny fireworks, set off sparklers, and so forth.

I make my way out of the house slyly, being sure to quietly shut the door. There were more people outside now, several cars litterred the frint yard. People waited outside, drinking some sort of alcoholic drink that was red at the bottom, and yellow on top. When offerred one, I turned it down.

We all began to count the seconds down. Ten, nine, eight, so on and so forth.

The device goes off, and we could hear tiny bangs echo from the house. It had worked.

We all flooded in through the door, and began to celebrate.

I soon woke up after being hugged and kissed on the cheek by the birthday kid.

At first, it felt like I was watching an old 60s movie.

I was watching a man, face contorted into some demonic thing, walk down an aisle filled with people. He stopped next to a woman, who was talking to the people sitting next to her. She turned to her side, and looked up at him.

She screamed like anyone in a cheesy horror movie would.
      ________________________
My dream eyes snapped open, and I was sitting in that aisle. I got up, and looked at the space, wondering why it looked like an airplane cabin. There was a door at the end.

I approached the door, and opened it. I was lead into a large library, and began to investigate.

After a solid little bit of searching for something, I came up with nothing. Loosing all hope, I walked back to the door, and went to go and sit back down.

I was surprised to see that the door led me not to the cabin, but instead to a large convention. There were multiple tables, each representing a store or restaurant. Some of them offerred food, and I accepted. Some tasted greasy, others fairly good.

I asked each stand if they'd seen someone pass through there, someone with an odd face. Each stand said they hadn't. When I asked the last stand, a magic shop, another vision hammerred into my head.

It showed the man walking down a different aisle, ready to abduct another woman. Another scream, another vision ended.

I raced to the door, and opened it. This time, it took me into an office corridor. I went inside, and investigated a meeting room.

Inside the room, there lay a golden retriever. I tried to stroke its head, but when I did, its eyes glowed red, and it nipped at my hand, nearly taking my fingers off.

I used a chair to fend it off until I awoke.

    13. Hospitals, Boats, Virtual Duck-Hunt

      by , 11-23-2013 at 09:28 AM
Original journal entry dated July 20, 2002:

I had a nightmare that I was in the hospital because I was going to have a baby, only it was actually twins. (this may be because back in reality, I had a stomach ache). Anyway it pretty much resulted in the doctors have to make a few strategic incisions, which I was not happy about. On the other hand one of the little boys was adorable. Or would have been, had he not born an incredible resemblance to a prune.
So I had to go to the bathroom really bad, but the bathrooms in this hospital were absolutely DISGUSTING. They were old and even sort of old-fashioned, and very rusty and cracked, and disgustingly unclean. Most of them didn't even work. And none of the working ones were free, either. And the place really stunk. So I had to wait for someone to get done so I could go, but even then I didn't want to touch the toilet seat because I was afraid I'd get an infection because those incisions were still healing. And there wasn't enough space in the bathroom stall, either.

Anyway, then my dream cut to an alternate reality where I was blessedly not having a kid and instead my dog had puppies. So everybody was eating in the hospital cafeteria even though I don't know why we took a dog to a human hospital and then I needed to find a way home. I knew I could take this one public transport, if I wanted to. But before I did that I had to do work, and for some reason we ("we" meaning my fellow patients and I) were treated like criminals and forced to do heavy cleaning duties and stuff. So then I found a combination grandfather's clock/guillotine, and it had a secret panel in it which led to a very old wrought-iron elevator, but the elevator didn't work so I couldn't escape. Then I had to go back to the person in charge and get on the transport. Then the woman driving the transport wouldn't let me on without payment, so I gave her some chicken soup.

And then there was this riverboat cruise thing, and alligators and stuff. And the guide kept yelling at me to get out of the water but I couldn't because there wasn't enough room in the boat, since he had taken too many people with him. And the water was very murky and dirty. For some reason we were in the Rock River, which runs through Rockford, IL, but it's only fitting that I'd have a nightmare about Rockford.

So then my dream changed and I was playing Virtual Reality duckhunt with some guy, only we had lifepoints too, and we wound up having a shootout because I was cheating.
    14. Demon Dogs

      by , 11-21-2013 at 11:16 PM
Original entry on March 18, 2008:

So first I dreamed about this one river, and it was very very polluted, and these guys decided to go fishing. Only they found this one invisible island. At first it seemed like a really wonderful, idyllic place, and this nice old lady invited them inside.

Note: if a "nice old lady" invites you ANYWHERE, it's a good idea not to go. In fact, run really fast in the opposite direction.

Anyway, so of course they listened to her, and they went into this house and down these stairs into this, like, underground mansion thing. Which seemed really great and everything at first, but then they started to notice discrepencies in stuff that they didn't notice at first. The woman had a pet dog, like a big mastiff, only it seemed a little strange sometimes, like it couldn't quite fit entirely inside of its form. Like sometimes the walls would flicker, or there'd be stains where there shouldn't be, or the furniture or the stuff hanging in the closet would seem really weird for a second, that sort of thing. Then one of them made the mistake of looking behind the shower curtain and there were a bunch of skinned bodies hanging there. So all of the sudden the illusion fell away and they realized that they were in a structure made entirely of bones and decomposing bodies and other stuff like that, the remains of people and animals and stuff. She'd fed some of them to her "dog", which was actually this huge demonlike thing. So anyway, she turned out to be a pretty ooglay monster thing herself, and chased them. They jumped into the river and managed to get to their village. The mayor, who was a woman, and looked strangely... well, familiar... led an expedition to the island with a bunch of big tough guys, only when they got there the place was deserted and all of the bones and stuff were dried up.

Ok, dream number two, there's this really busy police office and they're trying to catch this one serial killer dude who's responsible for a bunch of really gruesome murders. But well the police office is really busy, and they're very overworked and everything. They get this call from this one woman who seems to sort of be freaking out, there's a bunch of growling and snarling in the background that sounds like really pissed off dogs, and she's asking them to send people over. The cops are like, "We're really busy and we'll send animal control, ok?" and then they hang up before she can say anything. So the woman's stranded on the bed with her two kids, and she DOES own a doberman, only it's sort of dead right now because she's being attacked by evil vicious snarling demon-babies. And one of them goes after her kid so she winds up wrestling with it and it sinks its teeth into her arm.
So the cops are looking at this newspaper clipping later on, and the headline is "Woman And Children Found Dead In Bedroom, Eaten". And they chalk it up to this serial-killer who's been going around. They just can't seem to catch the guy.
    15. Injured Dog

      by , 10-25-2013 at 03:56 AM (CHiLLEN's Dream Journal)
      Time: 9.20am

I am walking home from near the milk bar in Merinda. I notice Rach A, is walking not too far behind me. I'm in a hurry and speed myself up by scootering along, which works. As I'm walking passed Evan S's house I see a dog and it wants to play fight with me. It's a medium sized dog which is blackish. The dog annoys me because I'm in a rush to get home. I figure he's lost and I check for something on him that will allow me to take him back to his owner. I see a heart shaped tag with his name on it, and a registration tag which is twisted and numbers look as they're fading. I'm across the road from gouchies and I grab the dog by it's collar, to get him to follow me. The dog doesn't like what I'm doing and tries to sit down and lay down. I notice a piece of his tail is on the ground, which has blood on the end. I look at his tail and notice it's bleeding and must be his. He also has blood on his paw's. I think at first that I may have stood on his tail as I had him around the collar but thought it was probably from a previous injury. I continue to walk the dog towards my house and the dog is now walking on only his back legs, not wanting to put pressure on his sore foot. I try and encourage him to walk on all fours. I reach my old house at blacks land and see Dad through the window, sitting on the couch. He notices me and the Dog and gives me a surprised look. The dog is also still walking on his back legs.
