    1. The Falling Battle

by , 07-05-2011 at 03:36 PM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
I was in USLS. Was doing some exercise or something. Me and a guy friend went down the stairs just outside of the library.

I was in our town plaza. Vampires all around. One, a friend vampire(?), was pretending to suck my blood so that the other vampires will leave me alone. I was on the ground, with desert sand, although there are small lines of water passing through the sand. The sky is yellowish, cloudy. I "heard" an explanation in my head that explains vampires walk on the walls/ceiling so that they can better smell their prey.

After a while, the vampires started to sense me.

I recall a fight, inside a supermarket or factory. I was with some people. Allies. We're trying to get out. We were able to go through the enemies, but the garage door-like entrance was already closing. Then we were caught by an enemy female doctor/scientist, in white lab coat and ponytailed black hair, wearing eyeglasses. We were stuck in ice blocks, and we were told not to move or we would be cut.

A comrade, a guy who looked like the enemy army guy in the movie Avatar, with his short white hair, muscled frame, and commander demeanor. We listened to how the female doctor can't reach her full potential, and our comrade sympathized with her. He swore to get her out of here.

We were put in cages. One of our comrades, a bipedal beagle with a red cape, wanted to pee. I saw him try to hide, as he pee, and then he did something. The next scene, I was with my fellow prisoners. We heard an explosion, and then we were told by the guards that our ally is dead.

I was in our home town, walking with Mike G. His father owns a store in our home town. We went there. His brother is also there. We saw the store closed. It was an internet store. I was playing a game there, and I saved them in various computers. When we went in and opened the store, kids went in to play. The only remaining station where I saved my game was one where I didn't go far in the game. It was station 2.

I was falling. We were falling from the sky. Everything seems to be falling from the sky; bit and pieces of machinery and metal. We were in a wide field, with some buildings afar, and a sea beyond it. We saw the huge, yellowish moon, and a coming lunar eclipse.

We saw our bipedal dog ally standing on top of one of the crashed metal ships, as if it was the most natural thing on earth. We then went directly to the fortress of the enemy. We tried to sneak in, but when I climbed to the second floor, the enemy saw us. I kicked one off the second floor towards an ally on the first, and they fought.

Then I had to fight a stronger foe. He was carrying a retractable white stick. So was I. He was stronger, and he told me that the next time he hits my left hand, it's over. I went into a rage and defeated him, although "I" was away from my body then.

Then I was with a guy. We were supposed to go to Forest Park/Mansilingan. We were waiting for an Eroreco jeep, going south.

We faced the huge, turtle "jumping board." The others have been fighting him before I arrived at the scene. Then one of us hit him physically, and he started complaining to the boss. The boss, who looked like the chief of Grimoire Heart, used magic to turn the huge turtle into a tube-shaped stick, and they all went into it, including a "prince," his son.

We traveled with it, but we can hear them talking and making noise, so we decided to leave them behind, and hid them under some palm-shaped leaves in a forest. The last thing I heard was that they notice it's sunrise/sunset.
    2. 10th Lucid - Making It To The Lake

10th Lucid - Making It To The Lake (MILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was in some sort of large brick city - it reminded me of a game. I don't quite remember the back story of this dream - I believe my friends and I were being chased by something - trying to get away from the center of town?

I don't know what set me off - but I RC'd with my nose - I'm dreaming! I instantly stabilised, looking around me and trying to calm down - with great success! The dream was very solid and stable, I didn't feel top-heavy at all and I was thinking very clearly. I walked around lucid for a while - it was night and I was in a town made of red bricks.

I remember walking out of a large square doorway and looking outside. There was a tall tower as though there was a castle in front of a couple of walls. Daniel ran past me with a group of people - but I stopped him.
"Hey, can I have that?" I was referring to his MP3 player. He handed it over without trouble - and kept running. It reminded me of my old mp3 player, but longer. Music started playing from it - Good Charlotte - Last Night. I was surprised at how good the music sounded, Jeremy was right!

I decided to focus on my next goal - time dilation. I yelled at the dream 'Two weeks to a day! No wait, Two weeks to an hour!" I looked down at the screen on the MP3 player, there were two digital clocks. They were both counting time to seconds and read
08:35:-- and the seconds at the end were in sync. Ohwell, I don't need it anyway this dream is stable as! I tried to make my DG appear behind me, but I didn't believe it would work properly, and it didn't happen. I ran down the street, it was paved and there were walls either side of me, I jumped and tried to take off in a superman flight stance, and fell smack bang on my face. I believe this is where I managed to teleport to the lake.

Next thing I remember, it was day, and I was at a lake. This was different to the lake I had been picturing. There was a shoreline filled with trees - a forest, and then a basin in the middle. There was some sort of tower on the hill on one side of the basin - a light house perhaps? I wanted to fly again, and tried superman style again and landed on my face. Bah.

I tried instead, to simply levitate up. I lifted off the ground slightly and got my balance in the air. I then pushed myself backwards as though I was swimming through the air - almost rowing. I kicked and swam faster, and started going really fast. I flew around the lake, looking at all the scenery and weaving in between the trees, feeling the air rush over me. I remember thinking a lot about the way I was rowing my arms - and I was slightly confused as to how it was working. I remembered the last lucid I had where I summoned an apple and figured it'd be pretty cool. I hovered in mid air, and flicked my left hand expecting an apple to be there. Nothing appeared, so I visualised the slice of green apple and went to take a bite - nothing. Oh well!

I know I was talking to someone in this dream, and I believe it was a kid from my school named Michael. He convinced me to try flying superman style again, now that I'd nailed flying backwards. I picked up lots of speed and did a flip. I manouvered through the air turning around and ending up in the superman position - it felt really awesome. Uh oh. I started falling out of the air - I needed to try and swim in that position. I hit the ground with a smack, it didn't hurt at all and I actually laughed a little. I instantly felt the transition into my waking body. Damn that was fun.

    3. Water park

      by , 06-27-2011 at 01:52 PM (Taffy's Sweet Dreams)
I was talking to my friend on the last day of school (which is funny because school is already out). He asked me what my worst summer moment was. I said it was when someone fell off of a slide at a waterpark, which never happened. Then I appeared in a waterpark, waiting on line to go on a slide. It was a really quick line. At the top I saw my brother go down a slide with my stepbrother. I went down one also. Before going down I looked over the edge. It seemed we were up impossibly high. I wasn't afraid though, and slid down. It was a really short ride that let off into a lazy river kind of thing, with people floating around in tubes. One girl was pulling another girl's tube. I wanted to go up again, so I got back in line. As I reached the top, the loudspeaker came on, announcing that a little girl had fallen off one of the slides, and that they all will be shut down. Everyone waiting in line was... Angry that they couldn't go on the slides. No one cared about whether the girl was ok or not. They let us go back on in exactly five minutes.
    4. Falling straight jacket

      by , 06-14-2011 at 06:43 PM
The whole night i remember tossing and turning.. whenever i have these nights it seems really easy for me to drift into a dream and realize i'm dreaming. Anyway.. all i remember is falling. while i'm falling i notice i have a straight jacket on and one of my arms are halfway free.. it seems as if i'm falling through a new building.. i mean a building where only the steel is up.. steel beams are flying past me.. and i remember thinking "wait a minute! i was just on my couch!" and at the same moment i stabilized in mid air and landed on one of the steel beams and looked around.. i always forget to look at my hands and spin.. i was about to go explore when i started to see all kinds of colors and then nothing just blackness.. and i knew i was waking up and that i was looking at the back of my eye lids

    5. Disney world camping trip

      by , 06-05-2011 at 05:35 PM
Most of the beginning of the dream is a blur, but the parts that I do remember completely, we'll start at. this dream was set in kind of a camping area, but to the far north west end of it, was a huge castle that led to Disney world :S. anyways, I'm walking down a road in the far east side of the place, I turn my head and I can see the castle from where I'm at. I somehow got separated from the rest of my family, and 'm trying to get back to our condo house thingy in front of the castle... I don't even know what to call it... anyways. I ask this girl who was jogging past if she knew how to get over there. she said "sure come on" and then she was suddenly on a bike. a few other girls were following her on bikes too. I began to jog and kept up with them pretty good. after a few twists and turns, we stop at a house and I walk in. I walk to the left and theres a small bedroom with a big shelf about... 5 feet out. beside it, theres a toilet. I look in and say "I always wanted a room like this!" then the girl from before that was jogging, comes in and says this is the mohamad house

      STOP!

this is the weird thing, I know a guy named Mohamad.

      COUNTINUE!

anyways, we leave and keep on going, the jogging girl rides slower than before and I get ahead of her, then another girl gets ahead of me. she had brown long hair, and was tall and thin like me. the road the we we're on wen't through a house and made a sharp left turn, then kept going. after a few more turns, my legs start feeling weird, like when you run on a treadmill for a few minutes, then when you get of and walk around, you feel like your going super fast? that kinda feeling. anyways, I start screwing around wih it, and I keep looking at my feet like "dooood, I feeeel hiiiigh!" ha ha. but then I look up, and theres a super sharp turn to the left again and its on a cliff, no house this time. before I can even scream, I go flying off the edge and fall to the trees below.

      STOP! again...

here's is the freaky part. whenever I get too high up somewhere, or a catch myself from falling, or use my reflexes, my feet tingle for about 3 seconds after. and sometimes, when I have a morning dream, and something happens like I fall I'll jump out of my bed, and look around, onl to fall back and calm down.

      countinue

as I'm falling, I think about what they do in the movies, and I curl up to protect my vitals. as I'm falling, I close my eyes, then get that freaky feeling that I mentioned above. but this time, it goes up to my thighs. I can feel the difference in the wind as I pass the tops of trees. I think about whether those girls knew that I was falling, and if I would be able to get back to my house thingy after this and the dream ends just before I hit the ground but as soon as I closed my eyes, everything went black in the dream, and I could still hear the wind pass my ears.

this is a pretty weird dream by my standards.

but this isn't a dream in the middle of the night, I only remember dreams I have in the early mornings. its like I'm consciously awake in them, but my body is still asleep and I don't know I'm dreaming till I wake up. everybody's theory's and opinions are welcome on this one!
    6. Flying, and Sky TV

by , 06-02-2011 at 12:58 AM (Byte's Adventures in Wherever Dreams Are.)
First DJ entry! I've been ill, and so kinda delirious. Here's how last night went...

      Black = Dream
      Blue = Real Life
Other colours are there for effect

The dream started with me in school, in the middle of a maths lesson.
(I didn't realize until afterwards that my lesson was in a French classroom) I then remembered that it was half-term, and thought to myself "What the balls?". Then everything started to fade to black,
      {Sudden realization of being in a dream}
so I looked at my hands and yelled 'Clarity NOW!'. All of the DCs in the room just stared at me, and I thought "Well screw being in here", and decided I was gonna fly. I fell out of the window, and I just sorta flew, Mario 64-style.
      {Forgetting I'm dreaming}
Gravity decides to be a B!+[# and sends me plummeting to my doom.
      Hit floor.
      Wake up in bed.

I'm sick in the bathroom, and have diarrhea. I wash off and go back to sleep...

I'm at a roundabout that I walk through almost every day. I somehow instantly know I'm dreaming, and wonder what to do next. The world starts to fade, so I focus on my hand again. It doesn't work, and I wake up.

Back out of bed, into the bathroom. More sick, more poop.

I'm back at the roundabout, but this time my cousin is with me. I still half-know i'm dreaming. Theres a giant floating panel of TV about 20m away, with the Sky TV guide up. (Like the advert with King Arthur) So we watch it. It turns out to be pr0nz, so we walk off. I wake up.

I get up for my day normally. No sick!
    7. Twoshadows' Lucid Dreams

      by , 05-25-2011 at 08:13 PM
      5-25-11

      WBTB Lucid Dream:

I don't remember exactly what triggered lucidity. I was in a strange house and something didn't seem right and I decided to fly. As soon as I did, I knew that I was definitlely in a dream.

The first thing that popped into my mind was "cake". I wanted to eat some cake. In real life I had had quite a few situations lately where people were eating cake around me and I couldn't because I am trying to lose that last 7 pounds or so.

So I thought, "Finally--I'm going to have CAKE!"

I knew I was pretty good at just thinking about bad food and then instantly finding it. And that was the case now. I looked below where I was hovering and there was a plate with a vanilla creme cake. A first I was a little disappointed that it wasn't a killer chocolate cake. But as I flew to it, it looked very good. I picked it up. It was a whole cake, round, two layered and slightly on the flat side. I put it to my mouth and put my tongue out to taste it. To my horror, there was no flavor. I then shoved a big part of the cake into my mouth and moved it around over my tongue and taste buds. Finally the flavor started to come out. The creme layer in the middle was especially good. I ate the whole cake in about three bites.

I started to fly around again. I don't remember much at this point. I either had a false awakening or my thoughts drifted away from lucidity.

But then at some point I thought about cake again. Wait a minute--I was still dreaming, right? I looked in front of me and there was another identical cake. I was so happy to still be dreaming and also lucid. I picked up the cake and enjoyed eating the whole thing again.

Later (or maybe this was in that in between cakes part) I remember being on my roof and looking over the edge and seeing the Grand Canyon in front of me. I thought about how it would take bravery to run to the edge and jump right off and into the Canyon. I was almost too afraid to try, but finally I got the courage and ran to the end and put my arms out and just let myself fall.
I don't remember any more details.

Haha...I'm sure that everyone who reads my all food dreams thinks that I am a total pig. And I really do seem that way in these dreams. It's just nice to really let go and pig out. And it's probably really good for me if it keeps me from doing so in real life.
    8. 1/1 Wed: WILD Bar

by , 04-28-2011 at 06:03 PM (One Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy)
      WILD Bar
      Method WILD
      Lucidity C
      Vividness C
      Control C
I start by falling through the bed. Ahhh, falling backward in darkness feels so pleasant. I let myself fall for a while because I know, if I force myself into a scene too early, it's too unstable. So I'm falling and looking at my hands. After about 20 seconds, I feel pretty stable and visualize my destination: the bar I was at yesterday. The scene appears, just as I imagined. And... I fall through it. Must remember to stop falling. I try again, this time I imagine myself landing in the bar stool. And voila, I'm there. That's probably my most successful scene summoning to date.

So, my plan was to re-enter this scene from real life from that same day and see what happens. I'm at the bar and the bartender is in front of me. She asks me if I want a drink. I order a Bloody Mary and she hands it to me instantly. I look down at the drink and it's bright red. Lovely. But then something weird happens with my vision. It's like I can only see things below me. Everything at eye-level and above is just black. At this point I'm a bit annoyed at that and I've lost track of my original plan.

Things get hazy and I don't recall the rest in as much detail. I turn to my left and see a woman sitting in the stool next to me. Well, just the bottom half of a woman (but that's the only half that matters, amirite? no jk jk). I think I tried to talk to her. Then I stand up and walk to my left, toward the dining room of the restaurant. It's crowded with people. Along the right wall, I see an overweight woman. I walk up to her and try to ask her something.
      Dream ends.

    9. 1/4 Mon: New Office, Short Falling WILD

by , 04-12-2011 at 08:44 PM (One Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy)
Still not writing in my paper journal so my non-lucid recall is poor. Bad Sisyphus, bad.

      fragment
Only remember that it was unpleasant.

      fragment
      Also something stressful and unpleasant.

      New Office
IWL, I'm changing jobs very soon. That explains the content of this dream. I enter an office. It's small, just big enough for 3x3 grid of cubicles. On one side there is a desk for the receptionist and another desk with a computer labeled "Visitor". Overall, it feel more like a classroom than an office. Anyway, I'm with MS. We go to his desk and I expect him to show me where my desk will be. But he walks off and I'm left standing there. MS starts talking to an Indian girl. I walk toward the receptionist and tell her that I know MS and I'm here to see MA. She doesn't do anything and I get a bit upset.

I sit down on the carpet in front of the Visitor desk. The Indian girl sits near me. She says she is going to be the lead of some department and she will be my supervisor. I am dubious and again upset. I'm an engineer, not some CSR. MS brings the Indian girl a tray of food, like in a school cafeteria. I try to catch MS's attention so we can go about our business but he doesn't notice me.

      Short Falling
      Method WILD
Last cycle of the night I attempt a WILD using the fall-through-the-bed technique. I manage to fall and feel the rush of air around me. As usual, it's dark with brief flashes of light. But as I'm trying to summon my landing point, the dream fades. Bummer.
    10. Falling, Jen, Mirrors

by , 04-12-2011 at 03:41 AM (One Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy)
      Falling, Jen, Mirrors
      Method WILD
      Lucidity B
      Vividness B
      Control C
I was in bed, trying to fall asleep, not really trying to WILD. I start to have hallucinations and I just enjoy them for a while. Then I have that "wait, am I dreaming or awake" feeling. So I imagine myself falling through the bed. I have found this to be the most reliable method of transitioning into WILD.

So, sure enough, after a few seconds, I fall through the bed. I'm falling through darkness with a few flashes of white light surrounding me. I think Hmm, what should I do? The last time I was falling in a WILD I just kept falling for like 10 minutes. I recall a recent goal: summon Jen and tell her I'm over her. Jen is my ex-girlfriend. But I'm thinking too much and not paying attention to the dream. I snap back into my bed and become conscious of my body. Time to fall again.

I re-enter the dream, again falling through the bed. This time I imagine landing somewhere. After a few moments, I land inside a building. It seems like a hotel. I'm in a hallway dimly lit by lamps. An old woman is leading me through the hallway toward a room. We enter a room with impressive double doors. The room is mostly dark, lit only from the lamps in the hallway through the door. I notice a bed and an set of drawers with a modern look and bright orange paint. Strange.

I turn and say goodbye as the women walks out the door. I remember I was going to summon someone. I step out into the hallway and shout to the woman: "I'm expecting a guest. Could you show her in when she arrives?" Confident that will work, I step back into the room. I try the light switch, but it doesn't work. Oh, right. Of course. I think I should just leave the doors open to let the light in. I turn to and see that the double doors are now made of glass. I catch my reflection in the glass. I try to look at it more closely, but then I see a girl walking down the hallway toward me.

The girl walks in. It's not Jen. She has long black hair and is wearing black jeans and a black coat. She has an obnoxiously large purse on her arm. She is short and a bit frumpy. Her face is definitely not Jen. I smile politely and she smiles at me. Maybe I said something but I don't remember. I turn her around and gesture toward the door for her to leave. I turn away, looking around the room, as if to give the dream a chance to try again. I notice a mirror in the room and walk towards it to see my reflection. I catch a glimpse but again become aware of a girl walking into the room.

The next girl is also not Jen. She is very tall with dark hair. She is wearing a dark top but only a tiny black thong for bottoms. And she has knee-high black boots. I admire her long legs for a moment, mesmerized. I snap out of it as she walks up to me and puts her arms around me. It's still not Jen. I am a bit annoyed. Then it occurs to me that this very tall woman might actually be a transvestite.
Not a pleasant thought. I'm knocked out of the dream and back in my bed. I'm still in sleep paralysis so I try once more to fall through the bed.

And once again I am falling. All black with flashes of white light. I think to re-enter the hotel scene. But I land in a room that's quite different. It's dark and still. Some light comes through a large window on the wall. Outside, it is raining with flashes of lightning. The room is ornately decorated. It's hard to describe. Imagine a study or library in an old castle but slightly more modern. I walk across the room and catch my reflection in the window glass from a distance. I look older. I'm dressed in a nice gray suit and I have a neatly trimmed beard. I look pretty sharp actually. Is this me in ten years? The reflection in the window flickers with the light outside so I turn to the wall where I see a mirror. I look closely but don't see much because it's dark. I look more like my usual self, with no beard. It looks like I'm wearing something over my head covering my ears like headphones.

I lean in until my face is right up to the mirror. I still struggle to make out some detail. I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Then I feel that I'm being pulling to the mirror. This could be interesting, let's see where this goes. I'm pulled into a dark tunnel and seem to fly for a bit into the void.
Then the dream fades and I wake up.

    11. Lucid and ladders

by , 03-20-2011 at 08:48 PM (Trial and Error)
I was a young boy, and I believe it started on a bus. Me and a teacher, or just adult helping out, were the last two people on the bus. He either threaten to attack me, or attacked me, the beginning of the dream is a bit fuzzy. In any case I spent the whole dream trying to not find myself alone, because I knew he would kill me. I thought about telling someone else, but I figured he would just kill them to.

For whatever reason, the group I was in spent a ton of time on ladders. Putting stuff on shelves, changing lightbulbs and what not. (probably because I am a facilities worker irl.) Some ladders were really tall, none of them were a normal size.

He tried to push me off a few ladders sending me crashing into (luckily) random piles of non-lethal things. I finally refused to go up a ladder without someone else with me. One of the teachers began to realize I was acting strange and got me to tell her what was going on. She decides that we should go and confront him.

We go to his house and knock on the door. He opens the door and without another thought shoots me in the chest. I go tumbling backwards. It was then that I realized that guns and shot were two of my dream themes, and that I must be dreaming.

I suddenly was the teacher, and began to walk towards the guy all terminator style. He continued to shoot, but they just ricocheted off of me. I said "this is a dream, you can't hurt me."

I forget exactally what happened, but I destroyed him.
    12. If you really need help, you should be screaming

      by , 03-16-2011 at 09:38 PM
I was in a museum in front of the entrance to an interactive nature exhibit. I noticed how worn the entrance looked and was prepared for the whole exhibit to be run down. Once I entered, I was delightfully surprised how nice it was inside. They used real plants and it was landscaped like I was really outside on some country trail. I was my bike and looking around at all the wonderful detail. Then I spotted some grapes growing on the side of the path. I turned my head back to look at them while I continued to peddle my bike forward. Then I realized that I was off the trail. The bike fell out from under me and I grabbed a handful of vines so I wouldn't fall as well. The vines had covered a cliff. I thought how careless it was for me to let this happen. I tried to climb back up on the trail, but the dirt from the embankment crumbled in my hands. I was only able to hang on by the vines. Just then, someone on a bike was approaching. I asked him if he could help me. He peered over the cliff and asked me what I needed. I told him I needed help getting back up on the path. He said " Then why aren't you screaming for help". I told him that I thought I could get up by myself and when I realized that I couldn't, he came along. He said "If you really need help, you should be screaming". I asked him if he would help me. He said "OK, but I doubt it will do any good." He then shouted at some bikers up on the ridge. "Hey, someone is hanging from the ridge and can't get back up. Can you help!" One of the guys on the ridge shouted back "If they really needed help, they would be screaming." then they disappeared over the ridge. The guy then said "You see, I told you!" I said "Will you help me?" he said "I already did." I reached my hand that was not clenching the vines upward. "Take my hand and pull me up" "Why would I" he said "You still aren't screaming" I said "so you will only help me if I start screaming." He said "I never said that I was going to help you at all, but someone might." By now most of the vines had pulled out of the ground and the few that remained would be out any second. I looked around and there was nobody around accept for this guy. I tried harder to find something else to hold on to, but there wasn't anything. Just as I started to fall, I woke myself up.
    13. 1/1 Sat: Falling Peacefully

I haven't been following goals or keeping up my recall lately. I have had a few spontaneous LD's though, so that is giving me motivation to step up my practice again.

      Falling Peacefully
      Method DEILD
      Lucidity C
      Vividness C
      Control C
I transition into lucidity from a brief waking. Or it could have been a false awakening, I can't be too sure. But I'll call it a DEILD. I am laying in bed, dark and quiet. I begin to feel the sensation of falling through the bed and into empty dark space. I open my eyes and turn my body upright. I feel the cool breeze of air as I fall and it's quite pleasant. I try to will myself to teleport to some place. I focus my intent on appearing in my office. But nothing happens. The effort causes me to wake up briefly.

I remain still and DEILD chain back into sleep. Once again, I feel like I am falling through the bed and into empty dark space. This time, I decide to just go with it and enjoy the experience. I see a few twinkling dim lights like stars in the distance. Then it seems like either they are getting closer or I am falling faster because they start the rush past me as I fall. They seem to be on a solid wall is closing around me.

Then, it seems as though I am falling through a narrow tube and these dim lights are just specks on the tube as a fall through. It's like a tube ride at a water park. The tube starts to angle slightly instead of straight down, so now I am sliding along the tube rather than just falling. All along, the experience is pleasant and I'm just curious about the whole thing. The tube gradually angles more and more horizontal until eventually it is level. My sliding slows and eventually I stop at one section of the dark tube. I'd say I've been falling for about 5 minutes.

I crawl in the tube, looking at the sides. There's still a soft breeze of air and I don't feel trapped. But I'm looking for a way out. I feel a panel along the wall and remove it. It's like an electrical fuse box. Inside, there is a small lamp with two cords that plug into some sockets in the wall. I pick up the lamp and move it to shine down the tube to get a sense of where I am. But in doing so, I pull the cords out of the wall and the lamp turns off. I feel around to fit the two plugs back into the sockets. In the dim light, I sense that some are color-coded in red and other's black. I try a few different combinations of plugs and sockets until one works and the lamp comes back on.

I turn to look at the other side of the tube with the help of the lamp. I find another panel and I remove. Behind it, there is just empty space, like the tube is suspended in space and this panel is a way out. I think to crawl through but it's too small for me. But as I'm thinking about this, I seem to fall through the bottom of the tube, as if a trap-door opened under me.

I fall for a moment and land softly in a field of long wild grass. It's still mostly dark but a bit lighter here. I can see well enough around me as if the moon is shining down in the middle of the night, though I don't recall looking up to see the moon. I take a moment to reflect on the dream and how calm and quiet it was. I am alone in this dark field, but I don't feel lonely or afraid. It's pleasant.

    14. off the cliff and into an alien world

by , 03-03-2011 at 10:51 PM (Wandering in Dream Debris.)
Pre-dream: After my datura nightmare I had in my nap during the day, I decided to not take anymore datura for a few days but thought I'd try some more valerian tea before bed in hopes to improve recall and/or vividness of my dreams. I made some tea, and yes it's indeed as stinky as people say it is, I wouldn't say "sweaty gym socks" but it's definitely pungent and isn't exactly a nice smell. I put in some sleepy time tea into it as well and this easily covered the scent and taste. I fell asleep after a bit of tossing and turning and had a few random dreams through the night but only remembered the last.

      Dream:
I found myself in the driver's seat of a car, my mom in the passenger seat, and an old family friend in the backseat with his son. For some reason I was driving his car because he couldn't and my mom was constantly telling me how to drive and being overly cautious of everything I'd do, as always whenever she is in a car with me. I couldn't figure out where we were going, they wouldn't tell me, so I just focused on driving and realized how dark it was. Suddenly I realize the car is going very fast and my mom keeps telling me to slow down, but I tell her I can't. I couldn't hit the brakes and we were going uphill very very fast, it felt like some 80-90mph. Everyone starts freaking out but I tell them to calm down, I just have to find the brakes. The family friend in the back tells me to turn on the high beams of the car because we couldn't see anything ahead of us and there were no cars in sight, it felt like we'd gone off road and I had the sense we were up on a canyon.

The more they panicked the more I found it hard to focus on finding the brakes and turning on the lights and the speed of the vehicle kept escalating as we were reaching the horizon of this hill. Before I knew it we had gone too far and there was nothing I could do. I felt the lift of the car no longer touching the floor and we were now flying off a cliff at roughly 100mph.

The view from the front seat, now that we were in free fall, looked like we were just dropped out of a plane and we could see tiny cities down below and it looked like it'd take minutes before we got there. No one said a word but there was this strange calm, since we knew we were about to die. My mom pointed out to the city down below and said "Pretty, isn't it?" and I just grabbed her hand and said "I love you mom." I couldn't think of anything else to say... I mean what do you say when you're about to die?

Then the car disintegrated into small particles, followed by my mom and the family friend and his child, I was now free falling by myself getting nearer and nearer to my death. But as I arrived closer to the floor I saw reflections of the starry sky in a river outside of the city, and then I fell into it and realized I was now in space. I saw strange fractal luminous crystalline buildings that reflected stars all around it.

Although a pretty piece of art in it's own right, what i saw in the dream was so much more breath taking. it was also much darker as if i was in space, still it was something like these buildings.

Everything was glowing and absolutely beautiful. I thought I had died and ended up in some strange astral realm or heaven, but realized I was still falling, I was no longer scared and I embraced it. After some more free falling I eventually woke up and was amazed at the detail and memory recall I had.

I was in total awe of the sights I had seen and in retrospect I've never seen such a beautiful sight in my dreams alone, I'm very convinced these visions were shown to me by the valerian root tea and I look forward to future journeys with it.
    15. Salamander and the Scorpion

      by , 02-07-2011 at 04:48 AM
I was starring at my wall from my bed. I noticed a spider web (checking there is a similar web in this corner) with a red Newt trapped in it. (I saw two recently while on a walk.) My girlfriend emerged from the bathroom and I pointed it out.

We both sat there starring at it a moment and my focus widened to reveal that now we were starring at my paneled ceiling. One of the panels was removed and a larger nasty looking network of spider webs was there. At this point, the two of us fell backwards onto the bed to match the depth and location of the visual.

A large scorpion emerged from the darkness along the webs to devour the Salamander.

This seems like another throw away dream, but here again is the new transition element I used to enter a TV scene in my last recorded dream.
