    1. forest, friend's house, show, computer

      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

      I was in a forest, possibly a snowy forest. There was an animal like a wolf that would eat humans. I may have seen it.

      I was then at the house or apartment of an old friend of mine. My friend had me go into some bedroom. The bedroom was dark. There were clothes all over the floor. A mattress lay in the middle of the room. The mattress was also covered with clothes.

      My friend kept insisting that I try on some of the women's clothes he had. But I felt like he was just trying to put me into a position where he could do something bad to me. I also felt like he wanted to do something bad to my family as well.

      I was then watching some show on a stage. The show had an old variety-show feel, but it was somehow related to an anime. There were some really hot girls dancing around on stage. They were dressed in jeans and tight shirts, just casual clothes, but they had something to do with the anime, too.

      At some point I came to understand that the plot line had something to do with lesbianism. This really turned me on. The show was now controllable, as if I were watching it on YouTube. I did all kinds of frantic forwarding and rewinding, trying to get to the point where this assumed hot lesbian scene had occurred.

      But suddenly, the screen went blank. I realized I had been watching this on my computer the whole time. My computer's screen was black, with only a cursor blinking in the upper left corner. I started to smell a plasticky, burning smell. I could tell it was coming from my computer's disk drive.

      I knew I had burnt out my computer. I was pretty sure I couldn't get a new one for a while. I wondered what the heck I was going to do.

    5. 01/23/11 The Golden Dragon

      Note: I have been having a horrible amount of nights where I can't remember anything from the night before… and it is really starting to piss me off. Last night I did manage to remember a few dreams, however. None of them were lucid, but it is far better than nothing, and I think I saw a couple of other dreamers in there, though I will have to wait to see if it was really them or DCs that looked like them. After all the nights of not remembering anything, I am happy just to have something to journal.

      The Golden Dragon
      I am in a forest, it is fall, the leaves of the trees are changing to a rainbow of oranges and yellows and many are still green, so I figure it must be shortly into the fall season. There is a gentle breeze blowing, and it is a pleasant day out. I wonder how I have not found this place to take a walk sooner, since I never get enough exercise. Now that I know of this place, I am likely to take a lot more walks! I follow the path through the trees, I don't know where it leads, so it is an adventure to find out. I come across a stream with a small bridge across it, I pause to look at the stream, then I continue. The stream is flowing off to my left, parallel to the trail, and soon I reach a lake. I walk around the lake, still enjoying the day immensely. I come around some large rocks to find myself face-to-face with a large golden dragon, who is glaring at me as if my mere arrival represents a serious inconvenience to him… oh, crap…

      Well, the dragon is glaring at me, I am certain he is going to incinerate me with a blast of fire on sight, but instead he speaks. He asks what is the meaning of this intrusion, and it had better be good, because he doesn't like being disturbed. I search my mind for a reason I might have come to disturb this dragon, damn… if only this was a dream I would be able to take care of myself even if it just involved opening a portal and bugging on out of there. (I thought about it being a dream and still no RC? ) So I search my mind a bit more until I finally remember a couple cases where someone was face to face with a dragon and walked away. Those cases are in Shrek where Donkey was right in front of the dragon guarding Princess Fiona, and The Hobbit where Bilbo was face-to-face with Smaug… they bought themselves some time, and in Donkey's case a girlfriend, by appealing to the dragon's ego… by complimenting him/her. So instead of trying to convince the dragon that I'd come upon him by pure accident, I say I had heard there was a magnificent dragon in these parts, so I had come to see for myself. And, indeed, the word magnificent falls short of the reality of the dragon, for mere words could never describe the awesomeness I am now witnessing. The dragon glared down at me and asked if it was worth my life to lay eyes upon him… I respond that there are few things in the worlds that are worth risking my life to witness, but a dragon such as him is surely one of those. And if I am to die, which everyone does eventually, better it be by one such as himself rather than some stupid accident or illness or to waste away in old age. And while I don't especially want to die now, I actually mean it about it being much more interesting and unique to be killed by a dragon than by more mundane means… and he is definitely an awesome looking dragon… so I'm not lying. He can tell I am being truthful. So he seems to calm down a bit, and finally says then I will have the honor that very few before me have had… the honor of gazing upon him… and of dying by his claw.

      I say just because gazing upon him is worth dying for, that doesn't mean I'll willingly die… so I jump into the lake and swim underwater to find a portal to get out of there, I am certain there is a portal near the bottom. I take shallow breaths of water so I can breathe it for a short time and I find the portal. I swim through it, the interior looks like a wormhole, and I exit in another lake and swim for the surface. When I reach the surface I look around and see the golden dragon is still there, still looking in my direction… um… I'm in the same place? The dragon looks a bit puzzled, probably wondering why I came back to the same place as if I want to die… I say I took a wrong turn in the portal, and head back to the bottom of the lake. I swim through the portal again and this time I wake.

    6. Creepy firework man with bowling balls

      I was at, once again, my old farm where I grew up called Talla Bena. The dream was very hazy, as I don't have very great dream recalling skills. Me and my grandma were inside and heard sirens, so we went out into the fornt yard to investigate. All i remembered from that part were some giant police cars roaming around the yard. Later, we went out the back door and saw more enourmous police cars. They had no driver, and one veered off to come over towards us. We asked the car what was going on, but it ignored us and turned away.

      The scene changed, I was in an area similar to the place where the National Quidditch tournaments are held in harry Potter. It was a slightly cleared area of woods, and there were some tents around us with people coming in and out, holding drinks. My big sister was with me, and so was my mom, although I didn't see either of them until later, I just knew they were there, maybe heard their voice. Somehow i know my sister is pregnant. (She already has a baby and is not currently pregnant again) A shifty looking man in his early 60s slithers over. he is thin and wiry and has lots of facial hair. He asks if we want to buy some fireworks. We decline and he moves on.

      The scene shifts to where I am walking through a similar place with just my sister. i feel very calm and warm because even though we used to despise each other, now we love each other loads. We are talking about something pleasant and then a red bowling ball with a trailing ribbon rolls out of the trail ahead. It stops, leaving a long strand of ribbon behind it. More roll out, crisscrossing all over the ground. The shady man comes out again and yanks on a ribbon, and the whole network erects itself into a canopy. All of a sudden there are pounds and pounds of fireworks inside of the open thing, laying all over the ground. I walk forward, stepping on them, to examine them. They are all different shapes and colors, a bronze fleur de lis sticks out in my head. The man gets all up in my grill and I decline again.

      I am now in the car again with my sister, riding shotgun, going over the Causeway bridge. Once again, I felt welcome and cozy with her. Then I have a sudden image of a silhouette of myself jumping in the air and clicking my heels in front of a window. The window doesnt have scenery outside, it has graduated red to blue, with white dots in between.

      Now I am in a huge commercial building with my father. There are about 438474099 escalators in every direction, and as many people. I suddenly

      am lucid. I don't feel the dream is too stable, though, so I make the best of my surroundings and start jumping off of the escalators and floating down. unfortunatly I feel myself waking up because my eyesight is suddenly blinded by light, I can see the dream fading. Then it quits, and with quickly fading lucidity, I realize I must get back to my dad. I look around and find him a few escalators away.

      There is a line of escalator people blocking my way, but kindly, this rather large young boy steps aside so I can jump down and see my dad.

      Then I am on my grandmas bed....Sketching pictures of my vagina. Not in a weird, sexual way, but it was actually because I had wanted to draw the human body more often earlier that day. (im not very good at drawing people) I guess that some how worked its way into my dreams. Surprisingly, the pictures were very good. O_O

      Then I was in class, and my science partner claimed she was pregnant.

      I was running through a forest track with a dozen other people, heading towards the African city Mombasa, even though the forest was more like South American. It was almost like we were refugees. We all came up to a massive cliff with the city in the distance, so we took a lower path through thicker bush. We started across the boardwalk, when there were picture frames floating on the side of the path, as if they were on invisible walls. They had random stuff on them.

      Wow I need to get better recall.

    8. Flying!

      This was my first flying dream and I enjoyed it quite thoroughly even though I was not lucid. It was very clear.

      I remember this dream as starting in a two story garage. It was familiar. Me and Zebrah and two others of my friends were upstairs. On of them was trying on a womans Lacey something. Then Zebrah turned into an owl and started to fly saying that "he needed to go somewhere" I all of a sudden jumped up and said Zebrah "I'll come with you!" so we went down stairs and I said "ok ill guide u"
      (dont know why I thought an owl couldn't fly) but I grabbed ben and started flying. It was a heavily wooded area. I mostly flew in circles for a while. Then i realized that Zebrah wanted to go somewhere. I then did a 360, and then landed on the ground. I said to him. I said to him "I guess u can fly yourself". He said damn straight and flew off.

      1st: I'm in India ( I think) I'm in a building that has tiny thread-like pieces of wood tied together as a carpet of some sort. there was a pillar on the left side of the room (the way i was facing). a few Indian men standing in white shirts, and have no shoes on. the two men drop to the ground in a low pushup position facing the Tarantulas that appeared on the ground before they dropped down. I worried for them.

      2nd: at my dads side of the families get together, the room looks like my parents living room (red carpet, tv, 3 couches 2 white one red) I was in one of my gaming rocking chairs(that is black), and I was facing the back of the house, they had a rotweiler apparently(which we don't have never had), it didnt seem like a happy rotweiler at all. I dont know what I did, but I pissed it off and it came at me trying to maul my face, think I closed my eyes and fought back pushing it away, eventually it got to me eventually i dont remember taking damage too much though, I was just shocked. I then walked toward another room (located where the kitchen of my parents home).

      3rd: I'm in a pure white room, and I feel how intensly the white is. I was at a white round table on a cushiony pillow, the whole room was white, as in everything in it too. My dad walked in and told me they cant put the dog down, it had only so much longer to live. I felt disappointment.

      4th: I crossed a dam at night in storm there were woods on my left and behind the house located on the right side of the dam, but it was located a little lower than the top of the dam. I then went into the wooden house and talked to two really kind parents, but I realized they had their kids swimming in the dam water in the storm. I thought that was nuts, but they said that it was the only time they could go swimming recently. The kids were a young boy and girl either 8 or younger, there was a speed boat in the water too.

      5th:Stormy Forest Night same as the last phase sort of. I was looking for fireworks.

      6th: didnt remember setting, but i questioned if I was dreaming, but then said "nah" and didnt do a reality check.

      dreamed i was in an area by a forest and after a gathering i sped off to the forest down a long path. I decided to come back very quick and i used my ipod flash lightat a person wearing an orange t shirt, he was bald. I then got to a crossing point and jumped to a broken bridge(glass) that didnt cross and was blocked by a fence a light was behind it facing me flashing light down upon the mini river. went on an island under me. bridge to my right covered in overgrowth that crosses all the way but too far away. i was either too stressed to jump back or i didnt want to swim or jump with my backpack on.

      phase2: at moms store(she doesnt own one). she is a modern psychic and utilizes wrist bracelets with beads clip on and forsee the future. she would hang them on a pole infront of the door after use. I asked her about going to cross country and she said she didnt want me to go to practice because one of our sheets said some vulgar words on it.

      I am lost in a coniferous forest somewhere in snowy northern Canada. I have been lost for a long time, wandering in the endless frozen forest, and the cold is starting to effect my body in seriously adverse ways. My left hand, from the wrist, has turned completely black from frostbite and my legs have been numb for hours, thoughI still force myself to stumble through the snow because for I have a false believe that if I keep moving that things will get better or I will be found or something.

      Another night comes and the moon is the biggest and the fullest I have ever seen before. It is so bright in fact that I can find my way through the forst as if it were day time. I cannot see what it is but I hear foot falls in the snow behind me and know that I am being followed by a wild animal. Many days and nights pass and my body is sucumbing more to the cold. The animal that has been following me is still around but I have no yet seen what it is, though I suspect that it is waiting for me to die. One day I collapse in the snow exhausted finally reigned to my inevitable fate and wait for the wild animal to come and eat me.

      I lift my tired head and see a light grey wolf slowing making its way to me. The wolf is very think and weak looking and I can see the outline of its ribs and the creature seems to be starving terribly, though it is not threatening me and seems more curious than anything. I figure I am going to die anyway so I pull a pocket knife out and cut off my frostbitten hand and toss it towards the wolf then immediately pass out. I wake up at night and find myself alone. I don't know where the wolf went and cannot see if it ate my hand because it is too dark. I find the strength to stand up and begin wandering again, more out of boredom than anything because I don't think I am going to be saved and I am essentially just passing the time until I do. I am so cold and so tired that I no longer actually feel the cold that much anymore, let alone think about it.

      Something happens one day though the dream becomes fuzzy and I cannot remember exactly what. I think a bear or a group of evil hunter men came upon me and attack me but I am saved my the light grey wolf that had been following me before. The wolf chases away my attacks and then has to drag me away from there, by the collar of my coat, through the forest because my body is so tired and damaged by the cold that I can no longer walk. I don't know how long the wolf dragged me but it felt like a long time. I pass in and out of consciousness for days and in one moment of clarity I talk to the wolf and believe it can understand me (partly loneliness, partly delerium) and tell him that when I die that he has my permission to eat my body because I know that it is still starving. I pass out again right after.

      I wake up in a hospital bed. I know I am still in the north because I can see a snowstorm raging outside of my hospital window. It is night and everything is quiet and I am trying to wrap my mind around how I survived in the frozen north for so long. I also wonder about the starving wolf and feel bad that I did not die so that he would have something to eat. I lay awake for a long time because my mind is ruminating about so many things and the thoughts of my experience begin to overwhelm me when a nurse with sort curly hair in pink scrubs comes in and says that the doctor will be in shortly. After some time passes an elderly Native American aboriginal chief dressed in a leather vest and a coyboy hat comes in and tells me that I am lucky to be alive and he asks me about the details of my ordeal.

      I tell him everything I remember happening including being saved by the starving wolf and the doctor tells me that I am mistaken. He says that I was found by the side of the road in one peice and that they had to amputate my hand because of the frostbite damage after I was brought to the hospital. I argue with the doctor and tell him that I am so sure that it all really happened. The doctor tells me that I was suffering from delerium from the cold and that I probably hallucinated the whole thing. I feel kind of at a loss because I am not sure how to feel but the doctor tells me that I probably did meet a wolf in the frozen north and that it guided me out of the forest because in Native American aboriginal legend, the wolf is a protector and a guide for lost soles.

      After the docotr leaves I stare out of the window for a long time, trying to come to terms with what I though was real and what I was told really happen. Through the blowing snow outside I can see something move and when it comes close to the window I can see that it is the starving wolf that saved me, though it no longer looks like it is starving. The wolf looks at me for a moment than runs off into the snowstorm and the dream ends there.

      Yay, completed the TOTM!
      It was pretty dark outside. I'm guessing it was about midnight, but it wasn't too dark because of illumination from street lights. I was walking down a sidewalk in some random suburban neighborhood, with a small group of people. There weren't any fences, just houses blocked here and there like usual. There was snow on the ground.

      The people I was walking with were my friend from school, and Rorschach from Watchmen. He wasn't wearing his mask, but he was wearing his trench coat and hat. I can't remember what my friend was wearing.

      I suddenly became lucid after walking for a few minutes, and I saw the snow. Immediately I knew this would be a good time to complete the basic task of the month - to hit a DC with a snowball. I figured hitting my friend wouldn't be as interesting as Rorschach, so I picked up a clump of snow (which felt more like the fake stuff) and tossed it at him. The ball didn't break, but instead it just fell to the ground as it whacked against his hat, which fell off.

      He didn't turn to face me, but just looked down and laughed humorously.

      "I'm going now guys," I said. "Bye!"

      I proceeded to start running and take off into the air with my usual flying technique. In a few moments, I realized I was over an evergreen forest, which was right beside a two-lane road. It was still dark outside, but I could see where I was going, once again thanks to the streetlights on the road. I felt myself sinking down as I flew, so I said loudly, "engage backup power" and I managed to fly higher than before. I spent the rest of the dream flying because I just didn't want to do anything else.

      As I was flying near the end of the dream, I remember smelling perogies.

    13. being lazy; new bacteria

      Good morning, everybody. I remembered three dreams from last night. But I lost one between waking up and starting this entry.

      The "new bacteria" dream is influenced by the NASA announcement about that newly discovered Mono Lake microbe that survives on arsenic instead of phosphorous. I also don't know why I thought in my dreams that bacteria aren't alive. I'm pretty sure it's viruses that are technically not alive or only half-alive.

      Dream #1

      I was at "my office," which was like the living room of a small house or cabin that might have been located in the woods. There were a few big windows on the walls, letting in plenty of light, possibly through thin, gauzy curtains. The day was probably cold and light grey.

      My desk was near the center of the room. I was standing back from it a little bit at first. The desk was cluttered with all kinds of papers and things that looked like mechanisms for gathering data for ecological surveys.

      The front door opened and either "my boss" or "a colleague of mine" walked in. He may have been a white man, strong-looking, with a big stomach and a huge beard. He may have been wearing some kind of plaid shirt, suspenders, and a broad-brimmed hat.

      I had the understanding that I was probably going to be fired because I was doing a terrible job. I sat down at the desk and grabbed my lunch. I probably shouldn't have been eating at this time, but I decided to eat right now, and to eat like a pig, in defiance of whoever was going to fire me.

      My lunch may not have looked much like food. It may have looked like machine parts, or, rather, just one small but chunky, metallic machine part. It was in a clear, Tupperware container about 35cm long, way too big for whatever the small lunch was. I may have been trying to eat the machine part with chopsticks.

      I decided that if I was going to get fired for being lazy, I might as well be even lazier while I was waiting to get fired. I saw some kind of "mechanism" that looked like the metal-wound cord for payphone receivers. It may have been partly buried under a pile of papers.

      I probably started whining and complaining about something that would prove I wasn't thinking about doing my job at all. I might have complained about some porn website that I couldn't get onto or some rock song that I wasn't able to turn on really loud. (But, now that I think about it, I may not even have had a computer at my desk.)

      Dream #2

      A view of various "bacteria." It was like seeing a lot of purplish, purple-blue, and pinkish, spidery or web-like shapes stuck in clear cubes like novelty plastic ice cubes.

      The "cubes" were being moved before my eyes as if they were being displayed as part of a presentation. But they would often overlap, as if they were just random cubes of ice jangling about with each other in a glass of water.

      I heard a voice talk about the bacteria and how they were a new kind of bacteria. They weren't really alive, or they were only half alive. But they had the ability to reproduce.

    14. 11/16 Mexican Excursion

      I'm driving on what I recognize in the dream to be I-69 S, a highway I used to take to get to my girlfriend's old house.
      I miss a major dreamsign here, because I know for a fact that I69 doesn't go south, it only goes north of my house. Anyway, I'm driving down the highway, and see the sign for the Mexican border. Oddly enough there are no checkpoints, tollbooths or anything, just a sign. I decide 'What the heck, I'll go on a little adventure, I'm not doing anything today. So I head on into Mexico. For some reason I'm driving on a bridge over a forest now, I look down and see thousands of trees as far as the eye could see. I'm distracted by something and I drive off the bridge. I guess I got knocked out, when I came to, my car was no where in sight. I call my mom, and say 'Guess what?' She apparently knew I was driving near the Mexican border, because she says 'You didn't decide to go to mexico just because you were driving so close did you?' I laugh and tell her I did, only I accidentally drove off the bridge. She sighs and we hang up. I start searching for my car, still chuckling to myself about how she knew what I did. There is a large, slow moving river with several logs laying across it. I cross the river, and start searching in the direction of the US. I climb a hill, and find a man at the top. The man doesn't speak much English, but he speaks more than I speak Spanish. He asks me if I have lost my car (ROFL). I tell him I have, and ask him to help me find it. He agrees and starts asking me questions about the car in English. I answer him in Spanish. (I managed a fast food restaurant for a year or so, and picked up a bit of Spanish from my cooks)

      Jump

      We are now in the sewers. It's not stinky as you might imagine, but it's dark, damp, and a little chilly. I am not looking for my car anymore, I am looking for a little girl. He thinks she might be in here, so we continue searching. We find a child's doll on the ground, in a spot of light shining down through from the surface. We turn down that corridor, and reach a small room. (Like the sewer rooms from Oblivion) He turns around and pulls out a pistol. He speaks perfect English now, and tells me his story. Of course I don't remember the story lol. He is pointing a pistol at me the whole time, and the little girl is behind him. After he finishes his story, I take his pistol, point it at him, and with the girl, start backing out of the room. After we get out, we turn around and start running. The man's younger associate comes runnning after us with a Kriss smg (I had read an article about them the night before) He catches us and we are now in a tiny cage, barely enough room for us both. He holds up the cage, and suddenly I've got long, slender, razor sharp teeth. I decide I feel like an animal in this cage, so I bite his fingers. I imagine how painful that would be, having my long teeth tear into his flesh. Ouch. He lets go of the cage, and catches it with his other hand. Then he stupidly holds it by the bars again, so I give him another chomp.
      I wake up.
      I now notice that not once in the dream did I see the little girl. Also the man who I met in the forest looked like Mr. Panucci from Futurama. LOL
    15. A windy day + Yeti and the leg decorations

      A windy day:
      I walk to a sandbox nearby the house where I live and notice that there is furniture standing here and also outside several houses. I find this a bit odd, because it is everywhere and not just outside ONE house. I also realize that it is rather windy this day, because two fabric seats blow out of what looks like some kind of heavy, wooden pulka. I wonder if I should chase after the flying seats and think that it is perhaps even my duty, but I then decide to leave it. After all, it is not my fault that someone has left something like that outside on a windy day... In the sandbox I find a large rubber ball with handles which you can sit on and bounce. I do this and I feel really happy. Afterwards I sit down on a swing and start swinging higher and higher, the way I used to when I was small. Apparently, I am able to swing higher than ever before due to the wind. When I get off the swing I notice that the wind has grown really, really strong and now even rips furniture to pieces, sending table legs and other parts of them flying in all directions. I find this rather cool. I then feel like using the rubber ball or the swing some more and therefore walk back towards them. However, when I do this I see that incredibly nosy, old woman looking at me through the window. I figure she will think I have gone nuts playing like a child and I feel uncomfortable and even a bit ashamed with her staring at me. I therefore leave the sandbox.

      Yeti and the metallic leg decorations:
      I am on a road near the forest. As I walk along the road I look to the left, into the forest. It is rather dark and a bit foggy in there and to my surprise I see a large, white creature move some distance away in there. I have some other people with me in the background and after looking at the creature for another moment I exclaim to them that it is Yeti (the snowman)! I feel a bit uneasy and even more so when Yeti turns around and starts walking in my direction. However, as he approaches he is shrinking and when he has reached me he is only about the same size as me. Now he is even looking fake somehow and I do not feel uneasy anymore, but just a bit confused. I then realize that it is only a human in a Yeti costume. The person removes the costume and I see that it is a girl in about my own age.

      I notice that I am wearing some kind of cool, ornate, gold colored, metal decoration on my whole right leg. I think it looks awesome and I am also fascinated that it fits so perfectly and lets me move freely even though it is made of metal. I feel very proud over this decoration and show it to the others. Several times I tell them how awesome it is. After wandering to several different places which I only remember very vaguely, I and the others (including the yeti-girl) are in a large building with a large collection of different mirrors in all sizes and shapes, with all sorts of frames. I admire my leg decoration in one of those mirrors, still fascinated over it. I now notice that the yeti-girl, who is standing next to me, also looking into the large mirror in front of us, has a similar leg decoration herself. However, hers are darker, more compact (less patterns etc) and are put on in a different way. I think that her legs are probably a bit thicker than mine. After showing her several different kinds of mirrors in the house, which she seems fascinated about, we decide to try each other's leg decorations. She puts mine on without difficulty. However, my leg is too thick for hers. I feel a bit shocked, because I had been so certain her legs were thicker than mine. When looking at my legs in the mirror now I notice that my right one is much thinner than the left. I feel surprised at first, but then come to the conclusion that those leg decorations probably make the legs temporarily thinner.
