    1. super heroes

by , 03-21-2013 at 02:50 PM (Tales from the sun chaser.)
Mannnnnn...there's soo much that went on in the following two dreams that I don't know where to begin at, and how it all went together due to limited recall.

I remember helping R fight some super human woman. Well we all had super powers, but I think she was strong as both of us. The fight started out as just a verbal argument...then it went to rapping....and then an all out romp through the city. I think I ended up drowning her.

Then the skies turned black and this woman I referred to as the "White Queen" arrived. Ronnie was no where in sight, so it was a fair fight. Well it was supposed to be. I ended up getting really powerful (or lucid, still not sure) and going to town on her. I had the power of earth/gravity so everything I was doing hit harder. I got her in a pile driver from two thousand feet, and reversed gravity right when I felt her trying to fly up, so in essence she ended up hurting herself worse. At one point I was sort of just playing with her...we both knew that she was going to lose, but this chick could take some damage. I woke up, and went back into the dream, and we caused a little chaos on the people in the city we were in for a bit.

So I get out of bed, totally lucid, and I decided to look for Kaomea. I opened the door, and I thought i saw her....but she was really old. She said she needed help with something, and we teleported (I think) and ended up some place in China. I can't really recall what happened, but it was like a kung-fu flick, with a cartoon thrown in at the end. I know I ended up losing lucidity by the end of the dream though.
    2. The DreamViews Drive

      by , 03-19-2013 at 03:43 PM
This was a fun little WILD and attempt at Advanced Task of the Month. It's been a while since I've had to navigate my house and I'd forgotten how challenging it can be. Darkness seems to lurk around every corner and I'm always trying to just get out. Couldn't do that for this Task of the Month -- had to head further in.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #78: The DreamViews Drive

I'm getting consistent hypnagogic imagery of the den of our house, so I feel like I'm getting close. I focus on staying aware, and after a few more flashes of the den, a fully three-dimensional picture emerges. I will myself to roll off of the couch, and my dream body complies. I check my hands and feet and everything looks normal. No extra fingers or troll feet. The carpet feels very realistic as well and I mentally confirm that there's no reason I would have fallen asleep downstairs.

I give the coffee table a little shove with my foot and it glides over the carpet. Okay, now I'm really sure it's a dream. I walk through the den past my computer, stepping on a bunch of the kids' toys as I go. Strangely, there's a laundry basket in the middle of the floor. I give the laundry basket a hefty kick and it goes sailing into the air and flies straight out the window. I'm quite amused with myself.

Outside there's just a hint of light, like it's the early morning. I don't think it's possible that the sun's up yet, but it makes me feel more urgent and focused. Since I'm in the house, I want to find the note that I left for myself for Advanced Task of the Month. I have to get back up to our bedroom. I wonder whether I'll find myself there. The thought of my sleeping body makes me feel a little wobbly, so I imagine instead that Wife is lying in the bed by herself. I wonder whether Wife's DC will be interested in "victory celebrations" if I can complete Advanced Task of the Month.
      (Menthol, is that you?)

I walk through the kitchen, dining room, and den, past the pool table to the stairs. For a moment I think about trying a pool shot, but decide that I'd better stay focused. I'm pleased that the baby gate is missing from the bottom of the stairs. Halfway up, though, I see that this dream house has the baby gate installed in the middle of the stairs. "That's not real," I think, and phase through it.

The upstairs looks really, really dark. I notice a light switch on the wall next to me. I try both of the switches several times, but each of them just controls the air conditioner instead of the lights! Every time I flip one of them, the air conditioning rumbles to life and I feel a light stir of wind.

I'm not sure what to do, so I just charge ahead. The darkness starts to get really bad, and I realize that I'm about to lose the dream. I grab onto the banister as darkness sweeps over me. I produce a gladius in my right hand and start swinging it around in the void, still clutching the banister. I stay like this for quite some time, not losing the dream but also not going anywhere. It feels like at least 30 seconds. I fail to formulate a good transition to a new scene (or a way back into the existing scene), and I either fade to black or lose lucidity...

It's a clear morning. Wife and I are in a car, pulling up to a two-story brick house to pick up my best friend F. F greets us at the door and comes out to inspect the car we're driving, an amazing classic car that looks a bit like a '55 Chevy Belair. Wife goes inside the house and I tell F that he and I should go for a ride. I hand him the keys and he drives.

As we start down the street, I tell F, "Man, I just had a lucid dream before we came over here. I've got to enter it into DreamViews." He says cool. There's something like an old-style typewriter embedded in the car's console. I know that if I type the dream into this typewriter it'll automatically get posted to DreamViews. I marvel at how convenient this is. I congratulate myself for renting such a wonderful car.

While I peck randomly at the keys, I ask F whether he's had any lucid dreams lately when he's commuting on the train. He says no, and we talk dreaming for a bit. I say something about dream signs and I mention that one of mine is "really bad driving." He laughs and says, "You mean like this?" He hits a quick 3-point turn and floors the accelerator, sending us streaking back toward the house.

"It's a rental!" I whine. "Be careful, man!" It's a residential street and he's doing 60 mph, easy. We're almost back to the house now and he hasn't slowed down one bit. I'm distracted, too, because I'm still trying to type my DJ entry into the car's typewriter-thing. Now I realize that I don't have a seat belt. I alternate between blubbering "It's a rental!!" and "There's no seat belt!!" As we hit the driveway, I throw in, "I don't want to die!!"

F cuts the wheel hard to the left. There's a squeal of rubber and the car stops a few feet from the house. I'm relieved to be alive. I'm not angry because I assume that he just didn't hear my complaints. "I was trying to tell you, man. I don't think my side has a seat belt!"

He laughts. "Nothing's going to happen to you, man!" I get out of the car and see that it's turned into a convertible.
I get it now. "F! This is a dream, isn't it?" He's walking inside the house and I hurry after him, the dream growing dark. Fade to black...

    3. Longest chain of WILDs, DEILD and 1 FA

      by
      gab
      , 03-18-2013 at 07:58 PM (Turquoise Dreams)
      Monday 3/18/13 bed around 1am -7am. Nap 10:45am-11:30am

Holy smokes, this was a good one. About 30 min of chaining. First WILD, rest a mix of WILDs a DEILDs + 1 lonely FA.

I was really torn between getting up and writing it down and between continuing, and that got reflected in FA in which I got up and wrote stuf up, only to ralize 5 min later in next DEILD that I didn't do it.

The entries were absolutely amazing. More energy oriented then ever before. Othere times I used to get up with my getting up or rolling out.

My mantra was "slow down, look around".

List is not in order of it happening.

      Sensations:

      1. Vibrations, which i managed to make stronger by thinking "energy, energy". Boy, did they ever got stronger. Incredible massage. All I could think of was how can anybody not like vibrations.

      2. At least 4 times I got out by rocking my body lengthwise, from feet to head. Incredible real feeling. Once I continued the motion and started floating out like from my head. Once I got out by falling backward head first.

      3. One exit when I realized I can feel the papers on the desk I was WILDing at (not there in WL) so I started touching papers and desk and saw my arms and got up.

      4. One exit - I kneeled on some stairs (like for older pets to be able to hop on bed) and tilted my head forward and down to get the falling feeling.

      LDs:

      1. I'm walking through one story house in tropical spanish style. (watching too much House Hunters international IWL). Lots of big, bright rooms. Come to the patio with huge flower pot with big leaf plant (like a banana tree) in shape of a casket. I'm about to freak out but I don't alow myself to do that. Instead I think "no, that's not it, just a flower pot".

      2. I'm sitting with mom and I'm writing something. She doesn't like that so I ask her if I should rather carve it into my arm. She likes that even less. I pick a ballpoint pen and "carve" write 4 - 4inch letters on my left inside forarm. The ink is not sticking everywhere. Mom comes back with a first aid kit.

      3. In one of them I remembered the "slow down, look around" mantra and actually looked around 360 degrees around me. I usually never look around, just move forward.

Added 4. On two occasion, I was blind and thought about wiping my eyes clean, but then decided to do it the easy way and take off my sunglasses instead. I think this happened after exit by falling sensation, not by getting up. If that's so, that's great, because I don't remember having success with this type of entry before.

Added 5. On one occasion I counted my fingers. Left hand had more than 5 fingers, and they looked dirty.

On both occasions it got brighter. In one LD I started to see a wall infront of me. It was grey and textured. I normally don't like going to places I don't where I'm going, but said to myself to stop being a chicken and something nice will be there.

So I went through the wall pushing it away with botm my hands, as you would push away spiderwebs in your way.

Man, I hope I remember more. I'm so stoked. They were all short, most of the time just a few seconds, but I had such a good time.

So after almost all this, I thought it's over, so I changed position but got vibrations again and was thrilled about it. Then I said I need to get up now if I want to remember any of this but got weak vibes again.

    4. Successful WILD #2

      by , 03-18-2013 at 04:56 PM
I may be zeroing in on an approach to WILD that works for me. I had my second successful WILD due to this approach. It uses a combination of a few established techniques that work synergistically to maximize chances of success:

      1) DEILD: before falling asleep at night, repeat mantra to wake up and not move, while visualizing the same.
      2) WBTB: Wake up after 6 hrs of sleep to use the restroom and have a drink.
      3) Anchor: Rapid cycles timed to the breath keep me awake.
      4) FFA: Forced falling asleep to sink deeper towards sleep

Last night I went to bed earlier than usual and as a result I woke up several times throughout the night. Every time I woke up I would perform a reality check and once I was certain it wasn't a false-awakening I would lie on my back and start cycles. The cycles are the same as the SSILD cycles (vision, then hearing, then physical body sensations) but each sense is only focused on for the duration of one breath. This gets you into a rhythm which eventually becomes automatic. At this point I would normally fall asleep since the automatic nature of the action would make me lose interest, until I discovered the adjustment outlined below:

      1) Start cycles with strong intent and focused attention. Every few cycles throw in FFA for two or three breaths, just to create a faster but controlled descent towards sleep.
      2) After a little while the cycles become easy to do and feel largely automatic.
      3) At this point switch your attention from the cycles to observing yourself doing the cycles. You are passively watching yourself doing the cycles and watching for the moment when your mind wanders. This is a subtle transition, if you don't understand this subtle difference in mental action this might not be for you.
      4) As you continue to do cycles you will feel your mind grow muddier and more confused, as you flirt with unconsciousness. This is a delicate balance. The only way to proceed here is to learn from failure. You need to get familiar with the very specific sensation of losing consciousness but retaining a tiny thread of awareness.

Getting back to last night, I noticed that as my mind drifted away visuals started to appear. If I "noticed" these visuals they would disappear again, because paying attention to them caused my mind to "wake up" slightly, setting back the process. When that happened I would just calmly resume drifting deeper, each time getting slightly deeper. Eventually I had a complete lapse in consciousness and when I came to I was walking down a green-carpeted hallway in an old apartment building. I immediately knew I was dreaming and started crawling around, feeling the floor and staring at the details to deepen the dream.

It turned into a nightmare after that, but because I was lucid I just observed the disturbing events without losing self-control or getting scared. It was unpleasant but definitely exciting and I do not regret having the experience.

I will continue to work with this method and if successful I will create a thread in the forum. I think my approach has some details that are missing from the other techniques posted there.

    5. Searching.....

by , 03-18-2013 at 12:31 AM (Tales from the sun chaser.)
So I started out looking for Kaomea. (sure she wouldn't mind if I popped up...well that's what I was thinking) The dream started out in my room, and it was really dark. I did a backwards tucked somersault and melted through the floor. (yes, weirdest teleport ever) It was like traveling on an elevator that had no walls. I could see my room on the first three floors, and just decided to step out.

When I did, I noticed my house was off...like even for a dream house. (I messed with something but the detail eludes me) When I walked outside, I found myself in some sort of amusement park. I was walking around calling out for her, but I didn't hear anything. I assumed that she wasn't here so I decided to do something else.

      (there's another gap in recall)

I picked up a futuristic rifle. It had a touch screen and some DC showed me how to set it up. And just in time. All these demonic monsters came out of no where, and I was taking them out. It shot electricity, or something that looked like it. Once they all died, the other DC's start rushing he corpses for loot. I went to the biggest thing I killed and pulled out a book and some other papers. This little girl wanted the papers so bad, so I gave them too her. The book was the Bible. Some guy started talking to us about getting saved and I was like "um okay...what?" Dream faded out.

      #147 Blindness and Sensations - 4:42AM - WILD\DEILD Chain

I am passively watching hypnagogia while counting mantra "1. I am dreaming. 2. I am dreaming." ect. Suddenly I notice something that seemed super real. I am holding some small plastic bag. I vividly feel it in my hand. So I pay attention to my body and the vibrations start.

I transition out of bed. The room is dark and I am half blind. I hope that eventually my vision will come to me if I just keep going. I feel drunk and have trouble walking. I stumble into the bedroom door and it feels like a cloth on my face. Instead of trying to struggle with it I decide to phase through. The door resists at first but I relax and focus on the other side verses pushing through. The door seems to pop like a bubble and I am free. The cloth lingers on my face for a few seconds. I can sort of see through the weave in the fabric and see light coming through. I slowly do a 360 and the cloth slides off me.

But now the room is dark and I am totally blind. I stumble to the front door. I have to actually unlock the dead bolt to get out this time. Once on the porch I begin to feel my physical sensations disappear and the dream fading. I really don't want to lick the cement again so I just get on my hands and knees and feel the porch. My knees hit the porch so hard it actually hurts for a second. I let my stomach touch the cement. I keep repeating "I am dreaming" Now, I think I am getting stable. I push up to look around but I still can't see. Really, I just feel like my eyes are closed but I am afraid I will open my real eyes. *Sigh* I should have tried.

I hear a car passing on the street and the road sounds wet. BTW it was raining in the waking world and I didn't know that it at the time. I though the sound was so unbelievably real that I must be sleep walking right now. I begin to worry that this is true and think how ridiculous I must look. I worry what the neighbors will think. The dream fades.

I stay still and wait for DEILD. It doesn't happen right away so I focus on the back of my neck to start the vibrations. Seconds later I am transitioning out of bed again. This time go straight to stabilizing. I press against the bedroom wall and start licking. The orange peel texture feels vivid on my tongue. Then, for some reason I get really excited (Menthol) and start kissing. Suddenly, I feel like I am kissing on a womans neck. I think, "NO!" and push away. The dream suddenly vanishes.

One more time I DEILD. I have to focus on my body again to get the vibrations. This I time I decide to wait it out and see what happens. I never transitioned out, but the physical sensations were much better than making love to a wall.

I seemed to have cycled between sensations repeating each one over and over. First, I felt a surging sensation so intense that it caught my breath. I could see a bright white light as this happened and then feel myself tilt upright to a standing position. All the while the vibrations felt like a strong wind on my body. As this was happening I got the most beautiful feeling of peace and love directed toward me. All I could think was, "I am going to dream about Heaven now."

Then that would fade and felt like I was slowly spinning on my back and levitating up and down.

At one point the cycles broke and I felt like I was sinking down into my bed and through the floor. My first thought was, "Oh God, I'm going to Hell now." Then, "Whatever, It's a dream. If I can just get this thing going I'll be fine with it." I even made a swimming motion downward until I fell like I had traveled a long way. I am still blind so I open my eyes but I see the bedroom. I look around for a long time and realize my eyes are getting dry and I need to blink. I finally close them and the previous cycles continue for a bit.

I don't know the length of time but it didn't seem super long. Maybe 10 min. Maybe less. My son is what woke me up coupled with my wife's snoring. I get back to sleep soon enough.

In the next two lucids the hypnagogia turns into a full dream but not very vivid. The colors are dingy and the physical sensations are dim. I decide to ride these out, flowing with the dreams as they are interesting from the start.

      #148 - The Martian War Zone - WILD - 5:10AM

I am on my stomach and I lift my head up to look around. Two soldiers are standing on each side of me. They grab me up by my arms. The one on my left says, "Welcome back." I laugh internally at this and smile at the irony. I follow them to what looks like a mine cart on tracks. For some reason, I hear a super loud motor. As we ride, I try to ask them where we are going but the can't hear me. It looks like we are riding through a narrow rocky path. Soon, the ride stops and we get out. I hear a Star Trooper like voice say, "Maintain radio silence." So I say nothing. As I creep around, I notice how red and Mars like the terrain looks. I see a path leading downward and a small bridge that spans across a dry creek bed. I feel excited and curious now. I realize I am holding some kind of rile in my hands. I feel it more than see it. We walk around a canyon wall. The enemy is set up behind some boulders. I fire my rife and it sounds like phaser fire. But unfortunately, at that instant I wake up.

I wait to DEILD and again the hypnagogia turns into a dream scene. I am standing on some ancient stone staircase with 3 men in long flowing odd looking robes. Their robes are gray with black trim.

I almost wake up again here but I focus. Sort of a mini DEILD.

We are now standing at the top of the stairs. It's a platform that overlooks an enormous amphitheater. There are millions of people below. The man on my left is standing at a large microphone with with a large golden or brass ring around it. The diameter is probably about 18in. He begins to speak and the words sound very alien and a little like Russian. I laugh to myself as I have no idea what is going on. I wake up.

I try to continue WILD/DEILD but I lose focus now and fall into non lucid sleep for a little while. Did my REM cycle end?

      #149 - I Meet My Doppelganer - 5:45AM - DILD

I am with my wife in some adult play land. There is this big thing we are on and its seems really abstract. I push this seat thing along a bar and it breaks off and falls below. There is some strange inflatable thing below with arms that reach to were we are. I jump on one and slide down to the bottom. I see the broke seat thing and the casters that feel off it. I randomly pick up a football. I notice how real it feels in my hands and that triggers lucidity. I look at my wife and say, "So, this is a lucid but it's not." I feel confused why I would say "it's not" but before I can reason this out, I see that my wife is now my double. I say, "Oh you're me!" My double just raises his eyebrows and makes a face like I am just joking around. He waves me on. I'm not buying whatever he's trying to say. I am really intrigued. It is almost like looking to a mirror but not. The feeling was so odd. I probe him some more and ask, "What are you thinking?" But before I can get any response I wake up.

      6:58AM NLD

I have a FA but feel as if I was lucid before. I can't remember it, however. I get up an get in the shower. The odd thing is that instead of there being a shower in the bathroom, the bathroom is one big shower with gray stone for wall and floor tiles. I begin washing my hair in the water and notice that I have a full on arousal and I am abnormally huge. I try to ignore it but can't help to want to relive myself. I look around and see that I left the bathroom door open and worry that someone will see so I refrain. Then I wake up.

I remember another dream where I am an animal. I cheat on my dachshund wife and have babies with some other species of animal. One of the babies looks like a raccoon.

      8:08AM NLD

Me, Wade, and Quinn, (The characters from Sliders) are half buried by some people. Our heads are exposed but they planted sweet peas on us. We were to be the fertilizer. Someone (I suspect it was the Professor and the Crying Man) get us out. We run away in the the cold winter night.

There are some cardboard boxes that are made to fit each one of us. One is on a picnic table and Wade jumps in it and barrel rolls off, landing smoothly on a road. The road is covered in a thick layer of snow and ice. Wade and Quinn both sled away in cardboard boxes. The road is hilly and it turns into a fast roller coaster like ride.

I check out of the story here and wander off into the woods alone armed with a crossbow. The other two vanish from memory. I hear a deep and mysterious voice say something like "The lonely hunter wanders off alone because that's what the lonely hunter does."

The scene switches back to Wade and Quinn. They come to a huge barbed wire fence with signs posted all over a gate. One part looks hand written with cardboard and marker. It says something like:

      NO Ghostly Apparitions.
      NO Werewolves
      NO Mosters

But I took it to mean that these things are inside there.

      The more official sign read:

      ROAD CLOSED
      This state is comprised of
      80 people

      DO NOT ENTER

I hear cars passing and Quinn points to another road. There is a normal "road closed" barrier but cars seems to me passing right through it like ghosts. Quinn says, "There is another road right there!" I feel like a part of the story again and I really feel like we need to enter the barbed wire area but I am also afraid of the bad guys catching up to us and think the other way will be quicker. I feel really indecisive. I wake up.

I try to reenter the same dream via DEILD. I see the sign with blue lettering clearly. This time is says there are 85 people. I focus on that but my son wakes me up again.

    7. I did a WILD

      by , 03-13-2013 at 03:05 AM (Taffy's Sweet Dreams)
      WILD

A lot of the details are vague but ill write what I remember.

I laid down to do a WILD, felt vibrations, and was soon running into a dream. I landed in it, and did a RC to solidify that. I was in a mall. I did some flying around, but noticed that I was going slow, that floating in air as if it were water, only to drop after. I'm out of practice, probably. Anyway, I go over to a stand/store and ask the guy to make me some wings. He says okay, and hands me two small, wooden pieces that look like the blades on ice skates. I touch then to my back and they stay in place. I hopped up and flew, this time much faster and better controlled. Not really wings, more like control devices it seemed. I flew around for a bit more, and landed by a young boy. He said something about jell-o creatures. I attempted to summon some but it didn't work at first. Then I tried again and these blobby orange things started appearing. I walked left and came across an arcade game of some kind. Near it was a guy, he said he was a teacher of lucid dreaming techniques or something. But the dream ended there

    8. On a Dark Rooftop

      by , 03-07-2013 at 06:15 PM
This lucid was extremely short (perhaps 20 seconds), a length that I'd normally consider a micro-lucid and not journal here. But it was so vivid and striking that it's really stuck with me. It's one of those dreams where you just remember every detail.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

Lucid #73: On a Dark Rooftop

I'm pawing at hypnagogic imagery, and I sense that I can reach out with my hand to touch a solid floor. It works, and a dream scene takes shape. It's night and I'm crouched on the rooftop of a one-story house on the crest of a hill. I'm dressed in head-to-toe in black (yes, I admit, like a ninja ) and I feel silent, coordinated, and infinitely agile.

I look all around me. Suburban streets lie in every direction. There's a faint reddish glow on the horizon, and I sense some kind of threat or danger gathering in the distance.

In my head, I clearly hear the voice of an old man: "Even in these dark days, my people yet retain a shadow of their former glory."

His words fill me with an enormous sense of urgency -- I have work to do. A cold wind picks up. I prepare to leap to an adjacent rooftop,
      but the dream ends.

I work at DEILD for a while, but just can't get back in.
    9. Lucid dream fragment!

      by , 03-06-2013 at 06:40 PM
I decided to take a nap because I am home and I can, and because I am still tired after my sickness.

Before going to nap, I had sent a friend request and a pm to gab.

As ai lay there, I decided to try to WILD since I have not really tried before, even though I before did not think I wanted to. Changed my mind.

I remember seeing some images: an art work vaguely reminiscent of the Mona Lisa, a very bright corridor, but at that point I was not sure yet whether I was dreaming or day dreaming - whether I had actually fallen asleep.

The first thing I saw when I was sure I was asleep already was that I had a Notification in dreamviews. Knowing it was a dream I clicked on it. Sure enough as expected it was a private message from gab. However, when I opened it, it was actually a message that I had previously gotten from gab and not a response to my friend request.

Then I woke up. Upon waking up before writing my dream journal entry, I checked dreamviews, and yes I had a message from gab replying to my friend request (she said yes). I then proceeded to write this dream journal entry and only once I had written a lot did it occur to me to check whether ai am still asleep (no I am not).

Yay, I did it! I had an LD! My first after many years.
    10. Lucid Theme park

by , 03-05-2013 at 03:25 PM (Tales from the sun chaser.)
So this was the first time where I experienced the transition from waking to NREM to REM. I'm assuming I was aware the whole time, but as always it's possible that I wasn't.

I'm laying in bed, in the darkness and certain things would wake me up up. Like all of a sudden I would be able to fee my body in bed, and hear sounds. This happened a couple of times, and finally I was asleep (I guess).

Everything was black, and I wasn't sure if I should open my eyes or just think of something to do. So I pretended to light a cigar and smoke it. The dream cigar materialized in my hand, and I lit it with my thumb. All it took was a lighter like motion. I put it up to my lips, and inhaled, and my vision got bright red. I ashed in my hands, and could feel them, but they weren't hot. Then the regular dream started forming.

I feel a flying sensation, and I see bars moving everywhere. Everything is still black and gray at the moment, so I open my dream eyes. Things started forming more and more, and I find myself climbing the side of a roller coaster at a high speed. I climbed to the top, and waited for the coaster to come by.

When it arrived I jumped up into it, and went on a wild ride. This thing was doing 90 degree drops over and over like it was nothing, and it would follow them up with super fast vertical climbs. As I spiraled down the tracks I couldn't help but think how awesome this was.

The coaster came to a stop (the dream had obviously fully formed by now) and I found myself in a jungle themed park. I had to find out who worked here because that was the most intense ride I've ever been on. I walked around a bit, and found myself in a big open waiting area. The walls were brown, and it looked like it was composed of diagonal 2x4s. There was a blonde woman wearing safari gear behind the counter.

She had the biggest smile on her face as she greeted me. I told her about how awesome this place was, and that I wanted to know a few things. She said that she would be happy to assist me.

      Me: Who created this place?
      Her: Mr. W.
(I was so shocked when she said this)
      Me: Who's Mr. W?
Her: Why he's the wonderful person who convenes us all. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him.

(I wanted to tell her that she was talking about me. I was still pretty shocked that she actually knew who was pulling the strings.)

I thanked her for her time, and headed out. There was a Marriott hotel joined to the theme park. I entered, and there was two people at the desk. One Indian guy, and I'm not even sure who the other DC was, but there was a line for people waiting to check in.

I walked past them down the hallway, and the Indian guy yelled "hey". I turned around, and he told me I had to wait in line like everyone else. I walked over to the counter, and jumped over it into his little space and said "do you know who I am?" He didn't have an answer, so I filled him in. "I'm Wade", I said. He spoke back to me with this thick Indian accent. He's always doing whatever he wants in these places and it's getting on my nerves. I told him that he could shoot me if he wanted it. Then the guy pulled out his pistol and pulled the trigger.

      *Click*
Him: "It's just that you seem to mess up things all the time"
Me: "Look I love this place, so I really don't have any problems"
      *click*
Him: "You're always trying to do whatever you want *click* (yes he's still trying to shoot me at this point) and I'm getting sick of it.

Me while making an ottoman float: "I can do whatever I want, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy this place. I

I told him that I was waking up and we'd have to continue this conversation at a later date.

Transition was weird. Vision was jacked up. Like part of what I was my room and the other part was a dream. I started stabilizing by rubbing my hands. When things became normal, I headed outside. There was this party going on right out there and I had no idea who it was, but everyone was getting wasted. I headed over there and got a few brews and they said that the beer ran out I told them "don't worry a keg is on the way". Two people came up carrying it and obviously it was awesome. I downed an entire pitcher and actually got a little dream drunk. The scene was tilting back and forth, and then the DCs were like "we're gonna hit another spot". We left and like things got weird. It was like playing a JRPG. We got random encounters and everything. I told them that were not gonna make it, and said maybe we'll go next time because I feel myself waking up.

    12. WILD+bunch of DEILDs

      by

      Sunday 3/3/13 Bed on 3/2/13 sat 12:20am - 9am

      Nap - 11:50 - woke up at 3:20pm

I started feeling body relaxing almost immediatelly and I wondered if it's because it knows I want to WILD. Waves of vibrations start washing over me, I count at least 4 or 5. At the second one, I wonder if I should just get up already, but I know it's too soon.

I get my first head-buzz when I think I have had enough. My leg is crooked begause cat is sleeping at my feet. So I turn to my left side and try again.

I got a WILD and at least 7 DEILDs, but I don't remember them all. Whole thing lasted for at least 30 min. Was not rushed through them as last time. I remember thinking in one LD wow, this is so long, I know I'm not gonna wake up. I hade this strange calmness and confidence.

Each transition was extremely mild. All I did each time was I realized that I'm still sleeping so I rocked my head (dream head) back and forth to start some dizzy motion thing and that usually get's me lucid.

Only at one transition I saw a large insect on my wall and as I was rocking back and forth, more and more spider webs appeared on the wall. I thought about just getting up then, since I knew I'm dreaming. But I got some nice falling down sensation and went with that.

      Dont' recall all DEILDs.

      1. WILD - I'm flying towards some futuristic city with skyscrapers on background of stormy clouds and sunny skies. On the way there I stop to investigate a beautifull sport arena. I say "take me there" while looking at the wall and I get zoomed in fast. I figure I better remember this new mode of transportation.

Can't tell if its football or baseball, so I'm making my way to the top to see the field. I'm desperate to see the sign on top to know what city I'm in. I thing it says Brewers.

      2. DEILD. I'm walking in the back yard of RD10. I feel awareness slipping so I keep yelling something, but it keeps slipping. I realize, it slips anyway, and as i do, I get snapped back to it. This happens a few times.

In the very back, by the fence, there is a small patch of tropical sea of size of maybe 2 bathtubs. Incredible beautiful blue see-through water and white sand. I pick it up and let it run through my fingers.

      3. DEILD Same backyard as in #2, only the whole backyard is tropical sea. Lots of white sand, sun, warm, shallow, blue water.

      4. DEILD I'm standing on a shore line. Small waves are splashing over concrete shore. I look almost straight up and tovering over me are huge waves. I smile and say "take me there". After my first mouthfull of water I realize I should have said "take me over the wave". I'm bobbing on top of the tsunami waves, while collecting some kids taken out to sea by these huge waves. I pick a girl and a boy and maybe their mom.

I'm walking through the hotel and I get nasty looks from some people. I learn that I am in bikiny and I'm a young girl that she is obviously hated in this hotel. I think to myself damn, why did I have to transform into this girl for?

I make my way through corridors, looking out the small windows, trying to see which way I should get out. I come to a balcony. Beneath me is a tropical sea with beach. Incredible georgeous blue water, not see through, more milky, like some places in Hawaii. Only blue.

I jup in next to something I think is a school of fish. But it's a lobster and sea turtle. I say "turtle details" a few times. Turtle turns to me and asks "what do you mean turtle details?". I say I would like to see more details on him. It looks like whoever built him, didn't finish him, because skin and shell was missing in some places. But the green color was spot on. I feel the warmth of the ocean and atmosphere of a resort.

I lift myself out of the water to look beyond the sea wall. There is the angry ocean with tsunami waves. Ok, I decide to stay in my small peacefull sea and go explore the sandbars of blindingly white sand.

      5. DEILD I'm with somone and someone says "invite her to?"

      6. DEILD Here I"m at the house I was invited to in #5. A girl I used to know as a child now has children of her own. The little girl running around is not my friend, but her granddaughter. A doctor comes to give here a shot and while I watch, I start rocking to induce LD. I wonder if he notices if I fall asleep while standing up.

When he is done, I ask him if he wants to "do it". Sure thing, but I guess we both fall asleep. We wake up and he says we slept for half an hour.

*I feel like I could be doing this forever. But my big toe hurts like hell. My whole foot is crooked because of a cat sleeping at my feet. So i wake up and cat is not there.

*I watched "The Contact" again and was really obsessing about that alien beach with tropical blue seas. I guess that reflected in this batch of LDs. Thank you, come again.

    13. The Celebrity

      by , 02-28-2013 at 04:01 PM
I wish that I'd asked this character what he represented rather than falling back so readily to fight or flight! My emotional control wasn't great in this LD but at least I guided myself toward a Task of the Year goal.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #70: The Celebrity

I WILD into a wooded campground. There's a crowd of excited DCs nearby, all waiting to meet this one guy who seems to be some kind of celebrity. The "celebrity" is an uncharismatic, mid-40s, somewhat ugly guy with a dark mustache. In spite of this, all of the women in the crowd are swooning and the men are excitedly pushing past one another for a chance to shake his hand.

In between handshakes, the celebrity keeps doing these loud, visibly moist sneezes directly into his hand... just before using it to shake the hand of the next starstruck DC. I find the whole scene repulsive, so I decide to hurry past.

As I pass by the crowd, the celebrity turns to me and offers me a handshake. I think that I'm supposed to be honored, but I have no interest in touching his sneeze-hand. I politely pat his shoulder and turn to leave, refusing the handshake.

There's a murmur of surprise from the crowd, but I try to ignore them, thinking instead of the tasks that I have in mind. The celebrity charges toward me and thrusts his hand in my face, insistent that I pay my respects. No, thanks. I turn away again, but when I do, the celebrity disrespectfully slaps me on the butt! I'm unbelievably offended at being treated this way in my own dream. My first thought is to turn around and just wreck this dude.

I decide that escape's the better move, though, so I Hulk-jump away. Somehow the celebrity grabs onto my leg as I go, though, and ends up flying with me. We land in another part of the campground and again he wordlessly extends his sneeze-hand toward me for a handshake. I try another jump, but he keeps hanging on.

I'm really angry that he's interfering with my LD and I think of the Colosseum Task of the Year ('Have a "fight to the death" with a DC in the Colosseum.') Yes, I think that I've found just the DC for killing. "I'm taking you to the Colosseum," I tell him, and grab him by the throat. His expression never changes, but his neck, arms and torso start rapidly expanding as if he were packing on slabs of muscle right before my eyes. Within a few seconds, he's transformed into a hulking, dangerous-looking gladiator.

Still holding him by the throat, I jump again. The celebrity looks like he weighs about 260 now, but fortunately I can move him easily when I jump. I have a gladius in my hand, but I hold back on using it until the time is right. My enemy is wearing some kind of armor now, and he's no longer looking for a handshake. I give my gladius some practice swings and mutter some threats that I can no longer remember. The celebrity doesn't respond.

Now we crash down on a floor of sand. I think that this is it! I can see a low stone wall all around us but above that it's just darkness where the crowd should be. I will the scene to come into focus, but the darkness just descends heavier and heavier until
      the dream ends...

      Lost Lucid Dreams and Fragments
I also had a number of longer lucid dreams last night that were mostly wiped from my memory! My guess is that these were very low-level lucids where I lost lucidity. I'm a bit distressed to know that I am capable of losing LDs like that. I'm pondering what I should do to address this.

Lost Lucid #1 - I'm flying high over a huge canyon near sundown, aware that I'm dreaming and holding a pile of dog poo in my bare hands. I am in a hurry to get somewhere.
Lost Lucid #2 - An old man is in my kitchen showing me how to make gold out of simple household ingredients (including mud.) I know that I'm dreaming, but I watch in fascination.

      Also, one lucid fragment:

Lucid Fragment #1 - I'm looking at a DJ entry on DreamViews. It has a single comment with a very long first paragraph. I become lucid when I see that the comment is from "BadArtemis" rather than "NewArtemis". Quickly wake up.

I'm in my bed trying to go to sleep, when all of a sudden SP kicks in. I feel like I can't move or breathe, and I'm trying to convince myself not to break it. Finally those feeling subside, and then I feel myself floating out of my bed. "ZOMG epic flying dream incoming"I think to myself, as I feel my soul is leaving my body.

The problem is, no dream really starts. I think I'm just probably in a NREM state, because I keep seeing shadows, and shades of blackness....nothing is really materializing. Suddenly I'm awakened by a sharp pain in my ribs.

      Almost

I'm at the supermarket with some guys, and I see one of my classmates. She's looking beautiful, and I don't hesitate to let her know....I'm about to have sex with her right there, and of course I woke up.

      Stealing cars

I'm at car dealership in a corvette, and I'm thinking of ways to steal it. I drive it outside of the lot, and try to replace it with another blue car. When I came back to the corvette, it was a different car. I opened it up, and there was some venomous snake there. I was thinking it was a Pigmy rattle snake because I didn't hear the rattle at all, but I saw the fangs. I backed off slowly, while facing it, and then once I got away from striking distance I took off. All of a sudden it starts chasing me. "This has to be a dream" I think, but I'm not going to take my chances.

      FA

I'm in my room. I get out of bed, and head to the bathroom...I think I'm dreaming but not sure. I do a nose pinch....no pressure, but can't breathe. Still not sure. I check the mirror. Boils are on my face, and other things don't look right. I do another RC...it doesn't work as expected but I know I'm dreaming. The damn dream fades.

3 lucids over the past three days...I probably should hit the journal more.

      1. Old battle buddy of mine needs help with something. I think a ride. She also says she's lucid.

      2. NREM...it was pretty sexual, but nothing visually going on.

I transition into an arcade, and I'm talking to this girl I feel that I met in a previous dream (unrecorded probably within the past few days) We leave the place, and there's a casino area as well. We're walking talking, flirting, and kissing. She got a phone call and said "I'll go, but I have to take him with me. Otherwise, I don't want to. She got off the phone, and I asked her for her full name, and she said "Emmika Rodriguez". I said "Errrmika?", while rolling my tongue. She quickly corrected me and told me that one of her friends wanted to meet up another casino. I told her that it was sweet of her to stick around, but I had a feeling that the dream was going to end. I told her I hopped to see her again.
