Camera Project (7:06)

My sister needs to borrow my camera ASAP for a class project which I assume is due this morning. I give it to her somehow and head to my own class, Discrete Math. On the way I get a text from Mom saying that my sister has gotten really depressed about this project, since now she can't get the pictures off of the camera. I feel stupid for not realizing that she would need the CD to install the camera's driver onto her computer. I'm not even sure where that CD is, nowadays. I might have packed it in one of those boxes I've been meaning to send home. It'll take a while to find it for her. But that's actually okay, I suddenly realize, because I don't have class this morning--it's Monday, and Discrete Math is on Tuesdays. Today I don't have class until the afternoon. Only, maybe the project was already due, in which case I can do nothing to help. On the off chance it will do some good, I head back towards my dorm.

By means of a cutscene [or something], I see that Dad's given my sister a call, to say in no uncertain terms that he is totally unsympathetic to her plight. I also see that my sister is standing in a grassy lawn, crying, waiting for her boyfriend to come with roses and make her feel better. I think that's a bit of an immature thing to use a boyfriend for.

Old Folk's Home

I'm about to walk away from the building when I decide, regretfully, that I might as well go back there to practice viola. I don't like that building. That one weird professor lives in it, and it's basically an old folk's home. I turn around and walk back, noticing that there are a lot of string quartets and small bands rehearsing on the sidewalk, all in a row. Huh.

Inside, I wander around the building for a while. There is a shallow spiral staircase to the second floor. I feel old myself as I climb them, since my recent sickness has left me lethargic enough that I have to put both feet on each step. This frustrates me, so I decide to challenge myself and try the other staircase: a much steeper one going up the middle of the spiral staircase, with golden steps that are individually suspended on ropes from the ceiling. It turns out to be very hard, since there's nothing to stop the steps from swinging back and forth like so many swings. I have to grab a rope to prevent myself from falling off. One of the women working at desks on the second floor notices my plight and demonstrates proper use of the staircase. She has no trouble walking all the way down. But there's not really a trick to it; you just have to be very coordinated. I can't believe anyone thought that this staircase was a good idea. It seems dangerous. In describing this staircase, later, I call it a "Margo Walk."

Back on the first floor, I meet a nice old woman and her friend. As a test, the woman has us alternate numbers, counting to ten in German. It gets off to a slow start, because I was confused by her accent and I expected she was going to ask for Korean. Then I ask her how to say "forty" in German, because I only know twenty and thirty. [IRL: I didn't even know "thirty"; I was confusing it with "thirteen."] She seems confused, thinking that I should have asked how to say "forty-four," I guess because it's more fun to say. It's an interesting approach to linguistics, I suppose. She has to think a long time about "forty." Has she been speaking English for so long that she forgot her native language?

Then it's time for lunch, and as a group we set off for the dining room. I wonder if the'll want me to sit next to them. I decide not to risk being unwelcome, and I sit at the end of the table instead. Then I notice that somehow my place doesn't have a plate with food, while almost everyone else's does. I decide I'll just be patient, but in the meantime I'm worried that some of the people here will start fussing over me, thinking that my not having a plate is a dreadful tragedy, or something. I look around the table at the old faces around me, trying to reconcile myself to the idea of old age. I guess for the most part they're good-looking, in their own ways.

[I think I came back to this lunchroom on various other occasions. I began to feel a bit like a freeloader for eating lunch here almost every day, but on the other hand I would feel rude abandoning everyone just before the meal. And the food was pretty good.]

Are We Watching Porn?
Spoiler for sexual content:
Lucid?

[I remember that I was lucid at some point in the night. I was looking at a natural landscape and appreciating the detail. Then I tried to look upwards, and the lights dimmed and I lost all visuals.]

Stamitz Viola Concerto (9:23)

I'm talking to someone in the entrance hall of an old-ish building. I hear a viola behind me, and suddenly I recognize the music as the theme from the first movement of the Stamitz viola concerto. Sweet! I look around at the player, who turns out to be a forty-odd, balding man. I notice that he's playing the accompaniment parts as well, using double stops. For that reason, he's playing well under tempo. Also, sometimes he has to break a long solo note into repeated shorter notes, since the accompaniment underneath is changing. Wow, this guy's good. I feel very inept in comparison.

Ritual of the Children

I'm sitting in a common room when a girl comes in from outside. She starts talking to some friends of hers, telling them about a meeting she just attended with a famous person, who actually just sent out a tweet about the meeting that involved a play on words on the girl's name. She's pretty happy about this.

Later, I come back into the common room. The girl's already there. I sit next to her and try to start up a conversation. We talk about her name. Turns out her name is Sadie Hawkins, which is also the name of a type of school dance. I'm surprised I didn't make this connection the first time I heard it. I suppose that must be because I heard it in the context of a play on words. I try to explain this to her, but my explanation is something along the lines of, "Oh, I guess that makes sense, because . . . you know, it was . . . right?" Immediately afterward, I feel embarrassed for being so terribly awful at communication. I think I was afraid to explain it directly, because that would mean admitting that I eavesdropped on her conversation.

Then a bunch of ten-year-old kids come into the room and start doing a ritual. Then it's time for lunch, but we have time to shower first, if we want. I do want to, so I try to head down the hallway to the bathroom. But the entrance is like two feet too short for my head. I suppose this hallway must be reserved for the ten-year-olds. They have their own hallway? This is weird. Whatever. I go down the hallway to the left, which takes me to the bathroom.

It's dark in here, and crowded. I open the first door that I come to, but it's a toilet stall, not a shower. I keep looking for a shower, but instead I come upon a row of turnstiles in the right wall. The kids are lined up behind them, entering one at a time. If this is their entrance, then I probably went past the showers. And I'd better find one soon, because it will be even more crowded here before long.

Tropical Island

[I am awake at the beginning of this dream.]

I know that it is almost time to wake up, but I decide to see if I can fall asleep into a dream landscape of my choosing. [Sort of like a WILD, I guess, but I didn't use that terminology at the time.] I decide that I will attempt to enter the dream quickly by visualizing myself falling from a great height. I picture a field of rolling plains, and in the distance there is a tall group of rocks with almost vertical sides. I am at the top of those rocks, I decide. The view starts to zoom in on the rocks. I still feel like I'm just picturing this in my head, not dreaming it, which frustrates me. Eventually I zoom in on myself, and then I fall backwards off of the cliff. [I can't remember the details of the event.]

I've landed on a beach, in the surf, though it takes a few moments for me to get my bearings. Somehow this is not what I wanted to happen, but a voice tells me that I should be feeling very comfortable right now (seeing as how this is a tropical island), so I should try to enjoy myself. I wade into the water, but almost immediately I notice something floating in the water near me that looks like dog poop. Eww. I try to wade away from it, but a trick of the current seems to make it follow me. Once, I think I've gotten away from it, only to look again a moment later and find that it's back. Then I notice that there's a current under the surface that's making a lot of stuff collide with my legs on its way past me. Seaweed, perhaps. In any case, it's gross. This is not fun.
2. Meeting Table Fellatios

by , 11-04-2012 at 05:09 PM
I woke up this morning very early accidentally and for no reason, I switched position to sleeping on the back and after a while, I tried to move and I was in sleep paralysis. I wasn't terrified by the idea of falling into a coma as usual but I heard my dad's voice calling me, and at first I ignored it but then I thought it might be something important, so I woke up from sleep paralysis intentionally, reality checked and realised that the voice I heard was a hallucination. So I fell back to sleep on my side.

Sleep paralysis again after a while, so I sat there this time trying not to mess everything up and waited for a dream to form. Suddenly, a dream scene forms. It was a big meeting room with a large table, with students from my class sitting around. For no apparent reason, I was not that rational and awake in that dream, though I was completely lucid with no doubts. Anyway, due to my fuzzy brain at this moment, I started forcing blowjobs to some girls from there. I think some of them weren't in the mood but there were some which had no problem.

I think though I didn't get a blowjob at the end but it was fun. As I didn't instantly write down this dream, I think maybe I got one but can't remember it that well. Anyway, then some moment, the dream faded at phases, Once it was all black and then a scene was there with people and things everywhere. This time I was thinking about what I was thinking when I was awake about doing in my dreams, like eating, flying and other, but due to the fuzzy dream, I couldn't.

Sometime, I woke up, and that's all!

3. Second Lucidity Attempt Led to Crazy Dreams

by , 11-03-2012 at 06:08 AM (One Crazy Ride to Lucidity)
So during my second attempt to become lucid I kept waking up and it would fail, so then I gave up since I have an early work day during the week, and went to sleep.
I remember small segments of my dream, and I'm not sure if they were all separate dreams or just continuations of the same dream. I woke up in between each segment, but at one point I THOUGHT I was in a dream and tried blasting rainbows from my hands....then I found out I was actually awake >_____> Anyways here's what I recorded in my actual Dream Journal:

First Segment: I was with a group of friends on a cable car ride to the top of a very steep and grassy hill. There were many Evergreen trees scattered throughout the hill, but I remember one of my friends saying "this snowboarding trip is gonna be great!" I remember thinking to myself 'snowboarding? here? Madness!!' Once we reached the top of the hill I was already geared up in winter attire, and on my board. The moment my board touched the green grass SNOW APPEARED, and it covered the entire hillside as I was making my way down. It's as if I was actually creating the snow to ride on, but then I woke up!

Second Segment: I remember being outside of my ex-girlfriend's home (though it was totally different, and the location was WAAAAYYYY off) talking to her mother and father. Her mother was acting kind of goofy, and laughing a lot, and her father was going on about buying everyone expensive bicycles...including me! I went over to a bike and started examining it when I woke up!

Third Segment (this I think was either two dreams connected to each other, or just continuing the same one: I was still outside at my ex's house while her parents were goofing off and riding tricycles when I felt a weird sensation in my left hand. I looked at my hand only to find the palm completely covered in pins (the kind you would stick in a pin-cushion) and the bulbs at the very tips were powder blue. I remember saying to myself "this is so weird. why is this happening?" and trying to pull them out. I think I got two or three pulled out, but each one I touched afterwards would sting the crap out of my right hand! What?? So I decided I'd go inside their house and play with their cat (they actually don't own a cat in real life). The cat I found was dark gray, and your standard fat house cat. It would hiss and growl high pitch noises and claw me if I tried to pet it. But for some reason I decided to keep trying to pet him. The cat ran away underneath an end table, and the routine repeated itself...until the cat yelled "**** YOU!!!!" and bit my hand. The bite hurt so much that I got mad, grabbed the hind legs, and punched him in the stomach, and then woke up! At the end of this segment I opened my actual eyes, still feeling like I was in a dream, held out my left hand and said in my head "I WILL blast rainbows from my hand!!!" I think I did this twice before I realized...."crap....I failed the WILD again!"
4. dream fragments

by , 11-02-2012 at 07:38 PM (Adventures in Dreamland)
I put an alarm 4 hours i went to bed to do a WILD technique, I have just started attempting to have a normal sleep schedule again so all my dreams are hazy and only seem only a few seconds long. I have one dream where i just see a text of my friend caitlyn that i haven't talked to in years and she just texted hey, whatsup? I was kind of dissapointed to wake up and check my phone that I had no such text message lol. I had a few other dreams where I was with my cousins in this weird building with bright colors and the walls inside the building were made of glass and we were playing some sort of bowling game on the first floor. I also had another dream where My family and I were staying in this very large haunted house with old furniture. The rooms were very big. I should take notice as a recurring element in all my dreams is the weird architecture.
5. Possible WILD: Flying in the Rain

by , 10-18-2012 at 01:21 PM
9-9-09

I was doing a WBTB. I was laying there getting really bored and wondering if I should just let myself fall asleep.

The next thing I know I am laying on the floor in my sister's place and I am being pulled by my feet by something unknown into the room behind me. I felt really freaked out. I tell myself that this is just part of the WILD expereince and that I should just relax and let myself fully enter the dream.

I then felt that humming vibration. Again, I tell myself that it is just part of the WILD and that it means that things are moving along nicely.

Then I feel myself being lifted up. That part freaked me out even more, but I made myself relax and told myself that this part of the process of entering the dream.

I didn't let myself move for a little while because I thought it would wake me up if I accidentally moved my real arms instead of my dream arms. And I wanted to make sure I was fully my dreamself before I tried.

I finally did and flew back out of the bedroom and out the front door of what was my mom's house. It was raining outside. I remember thinking that I had never flown in the rain before and that this would be a unique experience.

So then I just started flying around. The rain felt very real, both nice, yet a little cold and uncomfortable.

I was near my grandparents' house at some point. I wasn't aware of any transition. I remember swooping down through what might have been buildings, but then I think they were canyons. Because later I am flying over Lake Powell and excited about doing that.

Anyway it wasn't my best LD, but I was really in the mood to fly again. I was telling myself that before bed--how much I really needed to fly. So I did get to do what I wanted.

Now that I have started up again, I need to focus focus focus. SO I can accomplish many things.

6. Second day, second WILD, I'm thrilled!

by , 10-15-2012 at 02:37 PM
Hey guys it's me again with another WILD! I found a technique that worked for me everytime, check it out at this thread on my recent post if you like.

Anyways, let's get to that WILD. You may found the dream not that interesting as an adventure, but note that these are my first WILDs and I'm still developing some dream control, which was easier in my traditional DILD/DEILD mixups.

So after some time of laying in bed after my tricks, I start to get vibes all around and realised the time has come. I start to see stuff from my room all together gathered from different parts of the room spinning around in front of me and after a while, the scene stabilizes, I'm in my room. I get up from bed and the dream starts.

So I kinda check around the room, and it's even more realistic than last time! I wasn't afraid of waking up if I got excited. So I have a stereo which has a mirror-like glass, which I looked through and saw my weird dream face, as I started to make ridiculous expressions to have some fun! Then I instantly made a reality check nose plug, works everytime, anyplace, anyway just to be sure, and I could breathe through of course.

I opened my room door to get out, the door handle felt veeery much softer and loose than usual. I got out and flied through the corridor as I usually do in OBE-like wilds. As I reached the living room, I remembered from yesterday's WILD that the sofa was placed weirdly and went to check. So I checked and the scene suddenly changed to normal. I said what the hell, who cares I'm in a lucid dream here!

So I went out at the balcony to jump and fly but surprisingly, I fell! I was always very good at flying but today, I just couldn't make it! Fortunately The dream didn't collapse after I fell, but kept up going in the streets. Yeah! My mistake at this LD though was that I didn't recorded it straight when I woke up, I said I'll do it when I wake up later, so I missed almost the half dream. Never do that, Instantly record.

Anyways, so
I've hit the streets baby, and there is an imaginary neighbout stopped outside my house on his motorcycle (I call him imaginary neighbour, because in the dream I had the impression that he is a neighbour, but he was actually just a DC and I knew that during the dream ) who I talked to anyway and I can't remember about what exactly. I would normally remember but as I said, I didn't instantly recall and record. Who knows How many other things I missed from that dream due to my fat-lazy-assness. But anyways, enough whinning.

After talking with that man, I tried to float myself to the sky, but didn't make it. Important to note is that I was in my underwear all the time, but I didn't care, nor did any DC around. So I tried to project a gun from inside my underpants, but that was nearly impossible. So without much thought, I formed a gun shape with my fingers and tried to shoot passengers with it. No chance. The dream was so vivid that my traditional dream control was ruined, and I have to get used to it again.

So yeah that was about it, I remember some scenes of the dream as flashes during the day but it's still not enough, I'm pretty sure the dream continued for a good deal of time after I lost it at my recall, but I
am glad I am succeeding twice in a row. I hope that's not a random effect, but a scheduled success. I'm waiting for this night to confirm it.

till then...

7. And again, and again and again, and again......

by , 10-10-2012 at 09:56 PM (Tales from the sun chaser.)
The following takes places over two WILDs and four DEILDs and a FILD:

I'm in my bed...I get out, and head towards the living room....there's a lot of my family in there. I had out a few hugs....no time for chit chat, because I'm looking for kaomea....I go outside and it ends.

I'm in my bed, I get out head towards the living room, head outside...I see my brother and my nephew...I teach my nephew how to pull objects from the ground with his mind. I walk off...try to create a portal...nothing happens.

I'm in my bed...I feel someones arms next to me...Kaomea? No...some random chick....no two random chicks. I'm between them. Wait I know one, and the other claims to be another person who they think I know...but I don't. The one I know wants me to have sex with the one I don't know. Told the one I know "your breasts aren't shaped like that"....tried breast manipulation... They ended up looking like a boob job. Tried again....three nipples. Lowered her shirt gave up. Was about to get a blow job from the other girl...already had the condom on. Bought it near her mouth, and she bit down on the reservoir
. Stopped moving. Ignored her "oh I wasn't going to bite down anymore" speech.

Was outside.....different. Picked up a green orange....threw it...made it come back to me....okay I'm still dreaming. flew off.....

Feeling tumbling feelings got up...things are fuzzy.

Feeling tumbling feelings...felt like I rolled out of bed and landed on the back of my head....things are fuzzy.

Feeling tumbling feelings...same feeling....things are fuzzy....tried stabilizing......nothing.

8. Nice WILD

by , 10-01-2012 at 02:29 AM
I had a WILD last night.

I woke up to use the potty around 0530 then went back to bed. Picked up my dream where I left off. I was walking up a city street when I noticed there wasn't much detail to my surroundings. So I stopped the dream....turned 360 degrees to verify that the buildings were really bland. Then I thought, "I've gotta do something about that." Then I changed my clothes and kept walking.

I was aware that I was dreaming and could change things to my liking. Yet I couldn't figure out how to change buildings.
Also, the quality of my dream was different. It felt different. The characters and emotions seemed very real.

9. Strange DEILD

by , 09-26-2012 at 01:45 AM
This strange thing happened a few nights ago. I was dreaming of laying in bed with this asian girl. She was asleep. I was looking at her eyes and all of a sudden they jolted open! It scared the shit out of me. The scene went black and i assumed that i just woke up. So i laid still and imagined my body floating. I started hearing loud bangs on the door. Then i heard someone stomping up the stairs. I was aware of what was happening so I wasn't frightened. I heard a cat strut in and meow. I opened my eyes and i was laying on my bed watching the cat walk around. I got up and looked into the mirror and saw myself laying in bed! I was stoked! I left the room and in the next room i saw my brother and this guy just staring at me before i opened the door. It was creepy. Then i went into my aunts room. She was asleep wathing tv. I walked over to her and patted her back. She jolted around instantly and had a blank stare. Once again creepy. I woke up and got up to go pee. I noticed my aunts room lights were on. Here's the crazy part. She said she woke up to this feeling of someone pushin her back. I was really creeped out then.

Anything like this ever happen to anyone?

10. A Study in Sleep Paralysis

by , 09-25-2012 at 05:02 PM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake/SP, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

I'm in an elaborate, fantasy landscape. I fall over the side of a cliff and start falling down the side of a mountain, which has terraces in it and lots of trees, but the trees are all growing out of the side of the mountain. As I fall, I think, I could expect there to be a soft, grassy field below me for me to land on, and there would be one. I try to do exactly that, but it doesn't work. Eventually, I remember that I can fly, and fly back up to the top of the cliff/mountain.

[That's all I can remember now of an awesome, detailed, elaborate lucid dream that was remarkably long for my first sleep cycle of the night. I was really, really determined to have a lucid dream last night, and my determination and MILDing worked. I also remember choosing to stay in and prolong the dream at least twice, but I don't remember any more details. I really should have taken a moment to write them down in my paper dream journal after I woke up.]

[Later, different part of the night.] I feel, more clearly and with more awareness than I ever have before, all my major muscles transitioning into their paralyzed state. After a moment, a dream begins to form. Some Viking-warrior-looking guys who look like they came straight out of a movie by Aardman Animations are standing over me, watching me wake up. We're all in a big wooden hall. The dream is very weak, fuzzy, and indistinct, though, and although I try to focus on it, it fades away before I can get into it fully. This can be partially blamed on the fact that I'm completely fascinated by the experience I've just had, and this novel feeling of being “stuck” in my sleeping body while still being consciously aware.

Welcome to SP, I think. That wasn't so bad, was it? I lie still and observe the experience. Although I'm conscious, in a way I never am in waking life, of my breathing happening automatically, I feel like I'm not getting enough air. I realize that that's because I have my forearms crossed over my chest so that their dead weight is resting right on top of my ribcage. I can feel my left-hand fingertips touching the skin of my right arm, but I feel removed from the sensation. I hope for another dream to start, but it doesn't. I attempt to visualize a scene, but it's a very halfhearted effort and doesn't go anywhere. Also, I have my head tilted to my right at an awkward angle, which makes me think, I'm going to feel that in the morning. After a few minutes, I get bored and decide to get up and use the restroom. I have no problem getting back to normal wakefulness.

Side notes:
I've always been afraid to try WILDing because I'd never experienced sleep paralysis, and I was afraid that I might experience hypnagogic hallucinations or sensations that would frighten me. This was the first time I'd ever really experienced SP. It was cool and weird, but not frightening at all, and I didn't experience any hypnagogic hallucinations. Getting over your fear of something is always nice.
11. A WILD and a couple DEILDs

by , 09-03-2012 at 03:10 PM
Last night was awesome.

I woke up sometime last night and tried WILDing. After a while, I really didn't think anything had happened so I opened my eyes. I noticed everything had a blue tint to it, like the sun was blue, or something. I did the nose pinch RC and confirmed that I was dreaming . I got out of bed, walked across my room to the door, and walked through it. It felt like I was walking through Jello, which was pretty cool! My sister was in the hallway and saw the whole thing. She stared at me for a second then said, "...What just happened..." after which I explained to her that I was dreaming so I could do anything I wanted to. She accepted this explanation happily, and walked back into her room. I ran downstairs and tried my hand at summoning, as I did across all but the last LD (it's one of my primary goals), but apparently I suck at it because the farthest I got was being able to feel the object... I couldn't see it, but it was "there".

About this time, I woke up. My eyes were closed, but I could hear my fan spinning so I knew I was awake (my fan makes no sound in my dreams. Actually, I'm not even sure it exists in them, ha).

I focused on the last dream for a few seconds and eventually I entered back into it, still standing in the same place. I walked down the hallway and tried (and failed!) to walk through the front door. I go outside like a normal person and look around. I see the same goblin-esque person from my first LD standing next to a tree, but I don't bother him. I failed once again to summon something, trying all the methods I could remember and one I made up on the spot (I used Google to look up an image of the object, then tried to pull it from the web page).

I wake up again, eyes still closed. I figure that if I did it once, I can do it again, and I was right.

This time, I didn't even bother trying to summon anything. I decided to act like a maniac throughout the dream . I tried to jump through my bedroom window and failed, so I opened the window, broke down the screen and crawled out onto my roof. I get a running-start and jump off the roof. I go a good 50 ft forward and land in my back yard. I noticed that the yard was missing the fence, and my two dogs were running around freely. There is an old computer terminal (think ww2 era missile launch control panel) that grabs my attention. It is powered on, but there is nothing written on the screen. I tried a bunch of "commands," all of which seemed to work perfectly. "Brightness 70%" instantly "dimmed the sun," which I thought was pretty neat. I noticed a red button which I just -had to- push. Of course, all it did was wake me up!

This morning after everything was over, I realized that I also had a false awakening earlier that night. If I could just remember to RC every time I wake up, I could have had a 4th LD!

12. Ice Skating; WILD; Weirdness with Church Friends

by , 09-02-2012 at 09:15 PM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
I was ice skating with two friends I'd just met. They were both girls. One had straight ginger hair that fell approximately down to her shoulders (maybe slightly longer). I don't remember what the other girl looked like, but I think she had black hair. There were other people there, too, but I didn't know them.

The ice rink was outdoors and fairly small. Ice skating was a lot easier than I find it IWL. I was actually going rather fast most of the time. Every now and then, I'd fall over from being careless and inexperienced, but it never hurt. One time, when I fell forward and put my hands out to catch myself, I let myself continue sliding across the ice on my hands and feet (the blades of my skates were touching the ice) because I thought it looked cool.

I eventually woke up (or so I thought) and considered trying WILD but decided not to because it was already morning and I didn't think I'd be going back to sleep. After a couple minutes, though, I changed my mind. Here, weird dream logic took over, telling me that WILD involves walking around the house. I went downstairs but then realized I was only wearing a towel, so I decided to go back to my room and get dressed, but I woke up before I did.

I did a quick reality check to confirm that I was actually awake this time but soon went back to sleep anyway.

This time, I was at church with my friend Giana. There's a little room by the sanctuary that no one ever seems to use; that's where we were. I asked her a question (though I can't remember what it was now).

"Yeah, but no killing," she responded. This confused me, but then she made a comment about some game.

"I thought we were talking about real life," I said.

"I'm talking about our game," she told me. At this point, I assumed that she and Emma (another of our friends; the three of us make up our little trio) had made up some game last week when I wasn't there.

We left the little room and found Emma waiting for us. Giana wanted me to download some music and play it for us, so I did (actually, she just took my laptop and downloaded it herself). When it started playing, I asked if there was a censored version, since the music had a lot of swearing in it, but she said no.

At some point, we somehow ended up outside in a field. The music had stopped playing, switching to a slideshow of pictures instead. One of them was a demotivational poster. I don't remember what the text was, but the picture was a poorly photoshopped image of a cross between a lion and some other animal (can't remember what). I then alt-tabbed over to DreamViews and started typing up my previous dreams in my dream journal before waking up and realizing I'd have to type up my DJ entry all over again.

This dream didn't last long but it left quite an impression.

An alarm is sounding and it’s an unusual sound judging byall the activity. People seem confused by the noise and don’t know where to goor what to do about it.

I appear to be at a resort judging by all the people inbathing suits and swim attire but I think of it more like a compound. The womanin the blue bikini is telling people something about an approaching WILD and weneed to be prepared for its eventuality. To me it just seems like a normaloccurrence though people near me are clearly agitated.

I called it a compound because the ‘resort’ is surrounded bya large concrete wall, the kind of wall that isn’t meant to look confining butin reality is a foot thick and reinforced. The setting seems tropical but thepalm trees can’t compete with the view of the woman in the blue bikini. She isin charge and stunning, a powerful combination.

Almost like a Dream Guide, I think.

Sadly I wake up, but the vision of her still fills my mind.

14. Attempted Flying & Exporing + Soda Machine Hack (Lucid, Reality Checks, WILD)

by , 08-24-2012 at 07:39 PM
Woke up on 8/17/12
*Only remember fragments of some dreams
*Before the following dreams I had other lucid dreams. However, since I can’t remember the old ones I will only count the ones I remember into my total.
*My lucidity carried over from previous dreams, so I tried to remember to do reality checks in the following dreams.

Successful WILD
Successful reality checks

In no particular order:

1) The first thing I can remember is that I was in some plain area with fencing around it (The floor was probably just dirt). I remember being lucid in previous dreams so I attempted to hold on to my lucidity. I did a hand reality check and my hand seemed normal but because I was already lucid I tried to force something to happen. Soon my hands attached to each other and I had four fingers on the left side and three on the right. I don’t understand why I was so determined to perform a reality check when I was already lucid. I probably just wanted reassurance. I attempted flying first by jumping a few times, and I got higher and higher like I expected. Somehow, gravity was pulling me down and though I tried to fight it by jumping over and over I was unable to overcome it. It was as if there was a height limit and I wasn’t able to pass it. I was back to where I began my flying attempt and this time I tried to swing my arms up as hard as I possibly could. I did this a few times and went up higher than I expected, but after a brief moment of floating I could feel gravity pulling me down again. Once again I was back where I started and I began jumping again, but instead I turned a little to the left so that I was looking at the corner of the fence and I jumped forward bouncing myself over the fence and over a few small pieces of scenery that I cannot remember clearly. There was one obstacle that I believe was a wall. It looked green and I remember thinking that I wasn’t going to make it over, but I don’t remember what happened. The dream must have ended.

2) Like the previous dream, I was lucid from dreams that happened early in my sleep and tried to hold on to that lucidity. I was in some building with gray was walls, though the mood wasn’t at all scary or depressing. I was standing in the middle of what I can best describe as a doorway without a door in it. It was simply an opening into another room. The opening was about 10 feet wide and the walls were about half a foot to a foot thick. I looked down at my hands once again, trying to assure myself that I was lucid. I tried to concentrate on something being wrong with them and I think that eventually they did become odd in some way (I think I just keep looking and eventually I could see another finger on my left hand). The dream faded before I knew it.

3A) I was in my taekwondo class and people were practicing with nunchucks. I don’t remember many details besides the people who were there. When we were done my mom gave my friend a ride to our house. I went to the bathroom while he used our computer, but the view was of him at the computer.

*The following dream is somehow connected to the previous dream. It may be an alternate series of events starting from getting in the car.

3B) I am outside of a supermarket (I assume it is a Wal-Mart. This is explained in the dream notes in Section 3.1B). I get in my mom’s car and we are about to take someone home (Instead of being the friend from taekwondo he is a guy who used to go to my school). He gets out of the car and starts talking to his friends. While we are waiting he turns into a female dream character without me realizing it. I ask if she is coming and she waves us off. My mom begins driving and as the dream went on, I went from traveling in a car to pushing a shopping cart on foot. At one point, I push the shopping cart into a thin wooden board that was resting on a wire fence at a steep angle hoping to drive it over the wire fence by using the board (I don’t realize how odd my attempt is. The board was almost parallel to the fence). It doesn’t work, so I decided to back up to get more momentum. I run faster attempting to push the cart over the fence once again. It goes higher, but I am still unsuccessful. I leave the cart behind and easily climb over the fence. Behind it is a type of junkyard area with tan-colored dirt and a couple of tall huts made of some material of the same color (maybe even the same dirt) surrounding the area. The huts rest on a wall of dirt that surrounds the small area. I find it boring and proceed to different areas. As I explore I see elaborate playgrounds in different directions. One was in the distance in a wooded area. The playground was made of tall logs and had pointy roofs. I kept exploring and the biomes changed very quickly (in a way very similar to how biomes change in Minecraft. I’m in a grassy area one moment and ahead I would see a circular area of sand connecting to the beach; once I’m off the sand, there would suddenly be grass again. I eventually make it to some playground for a short period of time then start traveling again. For some reason, I’m looking for my school at one point. I reach it and the dream gets gray; it looks like it does on a cloudy afternoon. I go down one hallway and walk inside the office, though it looks nothing like the office in my school. I see two soda machines and two snack machines and I end up with wet paper towels in my hand which I try to stuff up the change compartment of the vending machines (This is explained in the dream notes in section 3.2B). A student next to me is doing the same and I make a comment about how I am surprised that he has also heard of the trick. I then say that I heard about it yesterday from a guy I knew. Behind us was a room with glass windows surrounding it. There were thin support beams in between the windows. My mom was sitting at a table in the room with two sodas.

Dream Notes:

General: The previous day, I performed more reality checks than I have ever done in one day. This contributed immensely to my lucidity and high level of awareness.

3.0B) I watched an episode of Wildest Police Videos the day before this dream. In one clip a man and his son were pulled over, but shot the cop and drove away. The police surrounded their car outside of a Wal-Mart and shot them. The scene in my dream was exactly the same as the scene in the clip (aside from the violence, cop cars, and guns of course).

3.1B) I volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. A guy I know there who is doing community service was getting a soda the day before this dream. He started talking to us about how he used to stuff paper towels up the change compartment to catch the change and take it out at the end of the day to see how much money would come out. This is what I was doing in the dream.

15. Wild WILD

by , 08-24-2012 at 05:31 AM
Had on 8/22/12

For about 10 minutes I feel the start of the WILD coming on. I fight it a little, but then let it wash over me. When I realize I am now in the dream I try to stabilize the dream by engaging all 5 senses. I am able to use all the senses, but sound.

When I make it to the door of the room I do the slandered nose pinch RC just to make sure. When I exit out into the kitchen I walk to the stove where some potatoes are cooking like baked potatoes. I reach into the pot a pull a little off and stuff it into my mouth for taste.

I then walk to the front door. When I exit the house I try to think about something to do. The only thing that I can think of is trying to pass my hand through something again. (As the last time I did this with my finger through my hand it made me ill in the dream. and I have wanted to try it with a solid object since.) I walk to one of the pillars holding up the overhang on the porch and try to pass my whole hand through it. I tell myself this should be easy as the pillar does not really exist. I am able to pass my hand through it, but I get poked by a splinter or something which hurts. After this I pull my hand back out and start to think about what to do next when I lose the dream and wake.
