    1. Moving Backward & Subconscious Secret Service

      by , 01-23-2011 at 05:18 PM
My parents decide to move because our current house is too large and they can no longer afford it. We are in the car on our way to the new house and my mom is going on and on about how they have now found their dream house and I listen eagerly. When we pull up to the new house I realize that it is our old old house. The one we moved out of when I was 12. Are they joking? They couldn't seriously want to move back here, could they? I watch them start unloading things from the car. The moving truck is parked outside. Oh my god, they are serious. I start shouting frantically, about how little and ugly this house is and that I do not want to go back and live in my old tiny bedroom. I am utterly in shock that we are actually moving back here. We're moving backward through life. I want to cry.

I follow them inside the house and everything is just as I remember it. It's as though I never left. I wander through the house, feeling utterly depressed. Then I realize...wait...this can't be right. There is no way we could be moving back here. This must be a dream! But, I don't become lucid.

Instead, I spend the next five minutes having a discussion with my mom in the tv room of the very same house about a dream I had where her and dad decided to move back to our old old house. I explain this horrible dream to her, in vivid detail, for several minutes. Suddenly I see a large green bug on the carpet where I was laying down. My mom was sitting in the gray lazy boy chair. The bug jumps on me, is it praying mantis? I freak out and fling it away. I continue on with explaining the dream to my mom.
      But...wait...wait...a minute...

"We're still here...in the old house..." I pause and think, "which means, that this is a dream. It is. It must be!"

      Mom looks at me questioningly.

"Here, I'll prove it to you." I walk over to the window, pull up the shade and open up the window. I climb onto the window ledge. Wow...deja vu. I think to myself that I have definitely jumped out of this window in a lucid dream before. But how could that be? I didn't start lucid dreaming until I was 18...right? Maybe I was just remembering a lucid dream I had years ago in which I had dreamed that I was lucid in my old old house. Yes, that makes much more sense. I jump out of the window, but it is nighttime and I have trouble flying. I make it to the ground safely. My mom jumps out of the window after me. She just falls and lands hard on the ground.

"You were supposed to fly," I tell her. We are both obviously disappointed and I can see that she is still not convinced it is a dream. "Here, try this," and I show her how to do the nose plug RC. She holds her nose closed and takes a deep breath. "Can you breathe?" I ask her. "Yes" she says, and I am finally satisfied in proving to her that this is a dream. "Look," I say, and direct her attention to a gorgeous city skyline at sunset that I had just created. She is astonished. "Let's go to the city!" I exclaim, and beginning running to get my speed up to fly. "Just fly. Watch me, watch how I do it..." I see her running behind me and the dream quickly fades.

I wake briefly and remain motionless. DEILD.

I reenter a lucid dream and find myself in a crowded mall with RP (though I kept calling him Cedric in this dream, Edward in the dream from a few days ago...btw why do I keep dreaming about him? I'm not a Twilight fangirl). We were running through the mall because we were being chased by a bunch of men. They were trying to take him away from me. We were clinging onto each other and these men kept grabbing him and I would pull him out of their clutches. At one point I lifted him into the air and was holding him high like a balloon so that the guys chasing me couldn't take him away. It was slightly ridiculous. I don't know why we were being chased, or why I couldn't fly, or make the men go away. It was frustrating to have so little control and I was truly battling with my subconscious. They were like secret service.

Eventually I made it out of the mall with Cedric. We stop to catch our breath outside, but I know that the men are close behind, so I encourage him to keep running. We run for several more minutes until I feel that we are safe. We find an empty house and head to the bedroom where we have sex for the first time, as if we're both virgins. Well, in the dream, we were. Except it was incredibly wonderful instead of awkward and unsatisfying. But the dream fades.

      Wait. DEILD.

I'm back in bed with Cedric. The dream is there one second and gone the next. I cannot stop it from fading. I try again and fail.

Shit...I think to myself. My REM is spent. This REM period is over. I can always tell when this happens. Then I remind myself that I've read that people also dream in NREM, so I don't give up completely, and I try to continue the dream into NREM. I was successful for a while, but the dream quality was so incredibly poor and faded out. It just was not immersive or realistic and I realized that it wasn't worth the effort of fighting to stay conscious, so I let go.

      Non-lucid Dream.

I'm in my grade school cafeteria and it is the end of the year banquet. The people there are all from high school though, not grade school. I look around in amazement and wonder what the hell all these people are doing here. These are people that are in college now, or out of college and have families. Why the hell are they sitting through this boring school banquet!? I interrupt the principal and ask why we need to be here, amongst a few other things.

"Well," she begins, "first of all I don't know why I am having to answer a two part question..."

"Would you like me to rephrase the question?" I ask derisively. I look around. People are giving me evil looks, and no one looks amused. "What is wrong with you people?" I shout, and then take my seat and sulk for a bit. Then I get up and walk to the back of the cafeteria to find out what sort of food they are cooking. My mom is there, working as a lunch lady. But it's my mom from like 20 years ago when she was a lot heavier. Her boobs are enormous and she's wearing a sweatshirt that says Notre Dame on the back. It said something on the front too but I can't remember. What I do remember though is that all my friends for some reason like her more than they like me. I'm not happy with the entire situation and decide that I'm going to leave. The dream ends soon after.

non dream - lucid - non lucid

I wake up late but can't be bothered to get up.
I fall back asleep for a few minutes.

I'm on Teraluna, at Yuya's place.
I seem to be alone, so I start walking outside but notice a big mirror.
What do I look like l wonder?
I approach the mirror and take a close look.
The image is very sharp and I actually resemble my waking life counterpart quite a bit.
There are subtle differences, I am slightly more muscular but not really by much.
My hair is longer. I can't really grow it that long in waking life because I got shitty hair.
I like the way I look and note that I'm wearing some sort of white pants. No socks, shoes or a shirt.

I turn around wondering if I got some of these glowing animal things on my back.
Yep, there are a few spots, but they haven't grown very big yet.
A few more will probably attach themselves, grow and then fly away one day.
As I look onto my back I notice something else.
A black tribal sort of tattoo of a dragon on my left shoulder, a smaller version of the one I saw burning on my back in my last dream.
I remember that it has burned itself into my skin because I use dragonic powers.
It will never go away, but I don't really want it to anyways.
It glows if I use dragonic powers, and can even grow over parts of my body if I really push it.

My reflection becomes blurry and the dream ends.

I was playing Pokémon for some reason (WTF!!! I never play Pokémon!!) together with someone (I only remember her being female) and thought this was kinda strange, so I decided to do a reality check, so I pinched my nose and tried to breathe, and I could. I did some Passive Dream Control on the game, I made the characters do stuff they couldn't do in the real game. I did some other stuff but I can't really remember what. Now I'm in the back of the car with my crush, she has non-alcoholic wine (and I don't even like wine!! must be because I talked about wine before I went to bed..). It started to get kinda romantic (dude, I wished I would never wake up at that point) and the drive disappears!! My crush takes over the car and puts it an the side. Now my mom is here, and she sais something about the wine not really being wine or something. There was something with a rocket too, because I tried to summon zero-gravity, but didn't succeed. And there was something with some sort of a fair-trade shop and an old lady.....

Dream Signs: A rocket, I didn't feel my muscles while moving my body, changing of scene, people appearing.

    4. 1/1 Fri: Flying and Lost In A Crowd

by , 01-23-2011 at 12:11 PM (One Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy)
Flying and Lost In A Crowd
      Method DILD (spontaneous)
      Lucidity C
      Vividness C
      Control C
I become spontaneously lucid in my bedroom. It's dark. I stand up in bed turn to the window. The blind are closed. I phase through the window. Now I am outside, hovering 4 stories up. It's very dark outside too. No moon and no street lamps. I see the faint outline of tall buildings in the distance to my right. I pick the tallest building and intent to fly towards it.

As I am flying, some light catches my attention on the ground to my right. I forget about the tall buildings and land. It's a busy street intersection with lots of people. It seems like a city farmers' market. The area is lit by neon signs. As I walk into the crowd, it seems bright enough to be day. But in the crowd I become distracted and confused, seemingly lost. I lose lucidity.
After that, I only recall the vague sense that I was in the area for a while, walking back and forth trying to find something or someone.

    5. Best lucid so far

      by , 01-23-2011 at 11:52 AM
      Dream Lucid

I´m not sure how the dream started or how I got lucid.
I´m standing in my yard with a woman and her two children. They want to go on an trip. I try to stabilize the dream and make it more vivid, so I try to concentrate on an object (I think it was a tree) and it works! Even though my other senses don´t work so well, the dream looks like reality. I remember that I wanted to try to do my task of becoming my character (Serial drem RPG) better than in my last dream. "Wait a second.", I say and run inside. I look in a mirror. My reflection looks pretty much the same as in my last dream (My arms are a little transparent though), but this time i´m wearing an black hooded jacket, which looks kinda like my characters robe. I try to summon a sword, but all I get is an childrens toysword made from sponge. (My SC has an evil sense of humor) I go outside and we (me and the family) walk to my neighbourds yard and take their car. The kids want to drive, so I let them go to the front seat. (Yes, im still lucid, this trip just seemed an interesting thing to do) I notice the steering wheel is on the wrong side. (right) The girl sits behind the wheel and the boy sits next to her. She starts the car and starts driving out of the yard. "You know, if you press the "fly" button, this car starts to fly.", I say to them. They start to look for the button. "It´s right here", I point towards a button that says "fly" on it. As we get out of the yard, the boy presses the button. Nothing happens. The girl starts speeding up, but we still don´t fly. "Try pulling the steering wheel towards you", I say. (At this point the wheel has changed side.) She pulls it, and slowly we rise from the ground. First just the front and then the whole car. Soon we fly on top of the clouds. I start to here an orchestra playing music, that fits perfectly to the situation. And then BAM, I wake in my bed and the dream ends.

    6. Multiple Realities

      by , 01-23-2011 at 10:10 AM
      This was several days ago...

The dream starts out in an alternative version of the Grand Canyon. Surrounding the canyon are several stores and neighborhoods. I get to know these places very well in my stay there. The beginning is a bit hazy, I know that I am looking for my mother. I am far out somewhere in the desert, far from the canyon itself. I know to find her I will need help. I am having trouble grounding myself so I can perform a proper search. I am not lucid. Somehow I come into contact with an army of baby sea turtles. I am hovering up in the air but not flying, just watching. There are thousands of them just crawling along the desert floor. I think I wanted them to help me, but they just kept on to their destination.

Time passes and I am feeling more grounded. I guess maybe I was searching for the canyon itself. I spent a long time wandering in the desert, sometimes flying and sometimes walking. Just searching rather aimlessly. There is a period of the dream I don't remember, and eventually I find the canyon and the city surrounding it. I fly above the city at night, this is still non lucid and not all that vivid. I've got this feeling like I'm trying to ground myself to the dream, so I can search for my mother properly. But it's really difficult and I'm more hovering then flying, trying to find my way down.

Another period I don't remember, and here is where things get interesting. Dream becomes vivid (as vivid as they come!). Still not lucid. I am on the ground in this city surrounding the canyon. I know I've got to find my mother. The first time I try, I find a pay phone and attempt to call her. A gun appears from within the pay phone and it begins shooting at me on its own. I have to run to escape the bullets. Another time I try to use the same pay phone, and a man with a machine gun is up on a hill and starts shooting at me. Every time I try to find her, something stops me.

Eventually I find my mother. I am walking along a hill and look down at a Lowe's parking lot. I can see her outside in the lot, helping men unload some boxes from a truck. I don't feel relieved to have found her. I go down and try talking to her. But it just doesn't feel right. She looks like my mother but after talking to her, I know she isn't. I become convinced that I am in a dream. I want to wake up so I can find her.

This is my first time switching realities.

I wake up in a house that I have never seen before. I walk to the kitchen and my mom, her boyfriend (ex-boyfriend in real life) and my best friend are all in there making breakfast. I am so glad to have woken up! I tell my mom about the dream. She does not respond as I would expect. I refer to this as reality one, with the GC being reality two.

Switch back to the Grand Canyon. I am really frustrated now. I had just woken up (still under the assumption that reality one is real life). I now know this is a dream for sure and I feel like somehow I've fallen back asleep after just waking up. Still not lucid. Although I believe this to be a dream I am still left wanting to search for my mother. I don't really know why, but its the whole point of this dream. I spend time searching and find her near a restaurant. We talk for a while but it is so upsetting to talk to this woman who looks like my mother but really isn't. I try to tell her about how I am dreaming and want to wake up, but she tries to convince me that THIS reality is real. I start to feel like she is trying to harm me in some way, this imposer. We are near the edge of the canyon and I run away from her and leap into the air, flying away.

      Switch.

I "wake up" again. I am back in this unfamiliar house. It is just my mom and her boyfriend now. Despite the fact that I can't recall actually waking up in this house (like in my bed), we are talking in the kitchen and it feels like real life. I am talking about my dream and how someone needs to watch and make sure I don't fall back asleep again, because I am having a bad dream when I sleep. My mother says something about how this is real life, and she is saying the same thing she said to me in the Grand Canyon. Realizing I am still dreaming, I switch.

In the Grand Canyon I have little to do now, because I don't want to find my mother. In fact, now she is searching for me. I don't want to talk to this woman who looks like my mother but really isn't. I just want to wake up. Reality one doesn't feel real anymore. I want to wake up for real. I wander around a lot, just flying at sunset, walking in and out of stores, etc. A man offers me a job at Lowe's and I take it, to help pass the time. I work at check-out.

      Switch.

The important part of this switch is that after speaking to this woman who looks like my mother, I start to realize that she knows too much about the Grand Canyon. She knows what I am not saying out loud. I become convinced that this woman is MAKING me switch realities. She keeps telling me I am awake. I start to play along, knowing I need to find my own way out.

      Switch.

One day I am taking a walk in a neighborhood in the Grand Canyon. I have nothing to do and spend all my time walking. I meet a man and I think I already know him, probably from work. He's really sweet. He walks with me and we talk. Part of me feels bad for leading this guy on, making him think we are developing a friendship when really I know I am dreaming and he isn't real. He knows there is something going on but I don't want to explain. The more time that passes here, the more I start to feel like the Grand Canyon might not be a dream. Maybe I am awake.

Many more times I switch. More and more I forget what place is a dream, I don't have a concept of reality anymore. I begin a relationship with the man I take my walks with. It doesn't feel like such a lie, anymore. It feels real.

One time when switching I send an e-mail to the Grand Canyon, from reality one. I want to see if it goes through. I want to know if I am dreaming so badly. I want to know if the man I am dating is real.

I never get a chance to read the e-mail. Reality three is fully lucid. I am in a large city and spend most of my time in the library there. I fly around a lot, over snow covered mountains at night. I tell everyone I meet about how I have been dreaming for weeks and want to wake up. Never so badly in my life have I wanted out of a dream. I feel like I've been gone forever. I try my techniques for waking up but they just don't work. I have little control. It's extremely vivid.

I false awaken five times. In this reality three, I know that in real life (finally I grasp on reality!) my cell phone alarm is going to go off at some point and wake me up. All I want is to wake up. Eventually I do, and real life has never felt so good. Thank you, cell phone.

This took place over a twenty minute period. I felt like I was gone for two months. I have written all this down, leaving out so much, but I don't feel any better. I feel like I should have woken up in March instead of January. I feel like I could work at Lowe's now and do a damn fine job.
    7. rubbing hands and voice commands worked

      by , 01-23-2011 at 01:01 AM
i Had 2 lucid dreams today.

i can't remember a lot about them, i had no paper so i didn't write any key words.

the first one started at my place:

My grandma was looking at the sky, there was full moon and the whole sky was purple
i realized i was dreaming, i moved a chair with telekinesis.
I said something like "change location: school" everything went black... i said "lumus" like in HP so i could see where i was. It was some kind of school.

      the second one:

I woke up from the first lucid dream, i saw the sky through the window and it was purple. i heard a voice saying "you know this place and something is not right" then i saw a gas station in front of the house (it is not there in real life) so i realized i was dreaming again. ( false awakening )
I started rubbing my hands, i saw a men walking to the gas station and the voice said "he is going to start a fire!"
i created a shield made of ice, the gas station exploted and the shield melted but we were all right.

i went to where the gas station was, there was the dude...
the dream started to collapse so i tried with a voice command "increase lucity".
it worked and i got closer, the dude now looked a lot like catherine tate and she started to attack me... i made "the sylar move" and extracted her brain, turned it into a burger and ate it.

a silent hill like creature appeared and ate the corpse and it was going to attack me but then i woke up.

      Beach Race (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was at a beach I used to go to years ago. It was wide, flat and open. Nearly always cold and wet though. There were about ten people with me- some were from my old class at school, others were people I work with now. The perpetual drizzle suddenly stopped and I looked up at the sky. There wasn't a single cloud except... The sun was going down, and around it was a strange arrangement of clouds, and lines created by aeroplanes, which appeared to all branch out from the sun, forming a giant star-shape. It was all lit up red and orange by the sun. I had a flash of recollection then, from the day before- in real life. I had seen this formation before on my way back into work after a break. My friend had commented then how his mind was blown by it. This was a much more intense, exotic version. I already knew it was a dream and a glance at my hand confirmed it.

I levitated slightly, just to show off to my friends. They thought it was awesome. My buddy Kay however, challenged me to a race. Him, on his bike against me, under my own power. I thought this was a fantastic idea and accepted. We would race to the ramp leading off the beach to the town in the distance, just below the sunset. It was a good half-mile. Someone shouted "Go!" and we were off. I lay back on the air with my hands behind my head and was propelled forward. Kay revved his engine and took off at the same speed. We were neck-and-neck for ages, and I tried to go a bit faster by imagining a force pushing me from behind, but it wasn't working. Kay got a slight lead which he kept until the finish line. I laughed and gave him a high five as I passed. Next thing I knew, I had overshot my landing and was on someone's balcony.

      A Whole Day Wasted! (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Once again, I had lived out an entire day in a dream. Actually, it might have been a weekend. I went to the beach with a few friends, weather was terrible, and came home again. I came home back to my old house, but it didn't strike me as strange. Me and my friend Hugh sat and talked for a while, then he went home. After he left, I flopped down on a beanbag and noticed that he'd left his phone on the floor beside it. I picked it up and went to the window, but he was long gone. It was cloudy, grey and raining a little bit outside. I sighed and headed out of my bedroom and along the landing. On the way I lazily reality-checked.

It didn't look quite right. I laughed to myself. Imagine if this was a dream, and I'd just spent all this time going about acting normal! Because I hadn't been paying full attention before, I looked at my hand again.
Thirteen fingers on my right hand. I counted meticulously. My mum approached and asked what I was doing.
"Turns out this whole thing isn't real," I murmured. I wasn't sure what the point would be of telling a dream character I was dreaming, they never seemed to acknowledge strangeness. "Well, bye!" I said, and opened the window to climb out onto the roof. Heavy, cold rain had started now, and people outside were running for cover.

      That's the last I remember.

    10. First DJ Entry - Natural Lucid Dream

by , 01-22-2011 at 10:31 PM (Glimpse Into a Mad Mind)
So I've decided to start a dream journal. For my first entry, I will describe a recent natural lucid dream, which I don't get very often at all. So it was a pleasant surprise.

I was in one of my classrooms up at the teacher's desk. The teacher was either an actual teacher of mine or my mother; I think it kept switching between the two. I was talking to her, and suddenly thought something along the lines of "Wait a minute, I'm dreaming. Holy crap, I'm lucid! I gotta post this on DreamViews! ". So then I decided to see if I could control anything. The teacher was talking, and I wanted to talk, so I thought "Stop talking now. Shut up." And the teacher stopped talking. I'm not sure if it was really me that did it or if she just finished her sentence but I felt pretty accomplished.

Next I was walking down a corridor (the whole place looked like the Hogwart's castle) and I thought "Ok so-and-so will be standing around that corner when I get there." It didn't work, but I guess I didn't really expect it to since I've never tried controlling a dream before, even when I did have a natural lucid dream. The dream ended with navigating an extensive tower full of staircases. Then I woke up.

I'd say it was a pretty successful dream. I've been remembering a lot of dreams lately and I'm loving it, except a few of them have been really scary

      Non-lucid Lucid

Jan. 22, '11: I tried the same breathing and relaxing method as the night before. I didn't get as close to consciously falling asleep as last night, but I did feel myself slip closer to sleep a couple of times.

Dreams: I was on a school bus. I had to climb over folded seats to get out. The door was very narrow and I barely fit through. I wondered how bigger people fit through it.
Outside the bus, there were lots of young people, possibly teenagers or college students. I jumped on a car and rocked it up and down.

I knew I was dreaming. Although I probably wasn't fully conscious. I was carrying some books or something. I threw them far away, toward some trees on a hill. The objects flew and vanished, with magic.
Then I jumped into the air and dived toward the ground. My hands went into the ground, without breaking the dirt. I could feel the soil even though my hands were nonphysical.
I walked around a bit. I was chewing on something. It was kind of gross and I wanted to spit it out.

I woke slightly and the scene changed.

I was in my grandparents' house (father's side), at a big table. I was still lucid, but my limbs were numb and hard to move.

A separate dream, no longer lucid: I was in college, a new semester, sitting in a computer lab. A class started. I had another class to go to. I got up and walked to the door to leave, but I had forgotten my soda and my shoes. There was a small fridge under the computer. I walked back to the computer, in front of the teacher to get my things.

Another dream: I was outside. It was dark. We passed a parked vehicle. Eddie pointed out a grasshopper on the vehicle, knowing that I don't like them. I mostly ignored him, saying I had seen it earlier. Then he threw the grasshopper at me and I woke up. I grumbled and said "little shit..."

I was in a hotel, I believe. My mom and Cierra were there. Mom had come out of the room, in a pair of roller blades and a black spandex outfit. She had lost a lot of weight and looked amazing. (She has been working out really hard, lately.) She told me that she was going for a skate and asked if Cierra and I wanted to tag along. I remember just being really proud of her and not being able to believe how much younger she looked.

Later, we were all walking through the hood. I had eventually become lucid, but I don't actually remember how or when. At some point, we came across a large gang milling around, outside of a house. They told us they were preparing for a war, and that a rival gang was coming to their block, to try to take over. They were pretty much recruiting everyone that could, to help fight, and since I was lucid, I figured what the hell.

Along came the insurgency. An enormous group of hoodlums came walking up the street, toward us. I didn't exactly count, but there were definitely 50 or more; tightly packed together, so that they all fit between the curbs of the two-lane street. Immediately, I broke ahead of "my own" gang, and started stalking toward them - smiling. I belted out something along the lines of :"Are you motherfuckers crazy?? You all have no idea what's about to happen, do you??" They didn't even give me the courtesy of a response. They simply opened fire. I continued walking forward, the bullets slamming into me me with all the brute force of pebbles at a concrete wall. I was calmly closing the gap between us, silently reveling in the can of whoop-ass I was about to open on these clowns. Suddenly, from off to my left, a huge dog came sprinting in toward me. I don't figure that it belonged to any of the other gang members, but that it was just a neighborhood stray. Before I could even react, it snapped it's jaws down on my right hand, pulling and tugging at me with the total force of it's body-weight. It really didn't hurt very much, but I couldn't ignore the raw power that was behind the rest of the dog. Even though I knew I was dreaming, and had dissociated from the biting sensation on my hand as best I could, the dog was still causing me to stumble back and almost trip over myself, trying to get free.

I don't remember anything after that.

I'm just going to retype one of those four dreams that got screwed up. They were all lucids, but one was a complete fail and I couldn't do anything in the other two.

~I was standing out in my backyard with a few friends. It was dark out, and a person started walking towards us. I woke up. Then I fell back into the dream and knew I was dreaming. My friends were running towards a clearing a little ways away. I followed them.

Once we were all there, I was really excited and I jumped up... But I have no idea how I did the next thing. I went high up into the air and was suddenly some amazing creature. I was tall and had pale blue skin with purple designs all over. And I had these wing-type things. My arms were really long and made the top part. Then the actual wing was sort of like a butterfly's, but it waved and billowed and flowed around me like a dress when I spun around and flew in the air.

I was flipping around and doing all sorts of wild tricks. I was still lucid, so somewhere in the back of my mind I was astounded that I hadn't crashed to the ground yet. But it was completely effortless and I didn't even have to think. When I eventually came back down, I was myself again. I don't know what the heck happened; maybe it was my excitement exploding out in some random way.

For the rest of that dream, my friends and I rode around in bumper-car things that shot lasers.

non dream - lucid - non lucid

I've been trying to prolong my lucid dreams lately.
I noticed that lucids featuring Yuya have lasted much longer than other lucids I've had.
I'm assuming this is because these dreams were much more immersive and just felt "more real".
I've experimented with this tutorial: (Tutorial for extending Lucid Dream Time. Hours of LD. by Gary - Dream Journals - Dreamviews Lucid Dreaming Community & Resource) during normal lucid dreams, and although it definitely prolonged the dreams, they still didn't last much longer than 10-15 minutes.
I feel like the immersion, such as in the dreams with Yuya, is a necessary aspect to have very long lucid dreams.
This is my first attempt at having a long lucid dream in the company of Yuya.

(I can't remember exactly how the dream started. I think I teleported to Teraluna and I've talked to Yuya for a few minutes)
I'm walking through some sort of flower garden with Yuya.
The flowers and plants are quite high, about 2 meters in size. Most of them are very colorful, blue, green and a few yellow ones.
There are small trees of the same size growing those blue fruits Yuya likes to make tea from.

I told Yuya that I want to learn how to prolong my stay in this world, and she's been explaining a few basics to me.
She explained that the most important aspect would be to anchor my senses in this world and not to think about waking life at all.
So as I walk through the garden, I try to absorb my surroundings as well as I can.
For some reason I close my eyes to do this. (I think I wanted to focus on my other senses, not only vision, and I thought doing this would help)
I listen: I can hear the flow of water through the garden, small animals making all kinds of noises, the sound of my feet touching the ground...
I smell: The air smells very fresh, the pollen from all the plants give the place a very strong and distrinct odor.
I taste: I bite into one of the mentioned blue fruits which I'm carrying with me. It's very sour but also immensely refreshing.
I feel: The consistence of the fruit as I bite into it, the slight breeze of air as it touches my skin, the texture of the ground I'm standing on...
I note that the simple experience of just being somewhere and just analyzing my own senses is actually quite a strong sensation.
      I open my eyes...

It feels different from before, it feels more real.
It didn't feel "unreal" before, but there is a clear difference, I really feel like I'm actually standing in the garden right now.
The visual detail of the world has also increased.
I can now see tiny glowing fireflies flying around the garden, I couldn't see them before.
My 6th sense is active as well, I am fully aware of my close surroundings, even if I don't look at them.

(My senses were more precise than in waking life. My complete field of vision was sharp, not only the very center, The texture of things I touched felt much more detailed etc...)

"This is real..." (I think I said this without a real reason, not because I confused the waking and the dream world or something like that)
At this point I know that this dream is going to last for a very long time.

Yuya approaches me and looks into my eyes acting quite serious:
      "Welcome, to the real world."
After an awkward moment of silence she starts laughing.
I notice she was imitating Morpheus as a joke and I have to laugh as well, she really got me there.
We keep walking through the garden.

"Do you know all of the movies I have seen?"
"No, I know the overall plots, and scenes you found quite memorable, but I haven't actually seen them."
This makes sense, she knows them from my memories, and you can't memorize a complete movie, you memorize the plot, the characters and a few key moments...
We walk out of the garden arm in arm...
(We talk some more, I can't remember the topic of the conversation though...)

... We arrive at some sort of stage?
It's not really a stage, more of a platform with some instruments on them.
I immediately notice something that resembles an electric guitar.

      "Do you want to play?"
Although it resembles an electric guitar, some features are quite different. I see frets and strings, the overall shape is the same, but the whole electronics are completely different.
"No... I don't think I know how ti play it."

Yuya grabs my hand and starts dragging me towards the instruments.
      "Come-on! It will be fun!"

She fiddles about with some stuff and hands me the guitar. I sit down and she sits right in front of me facing me.
      "Try it!"
It feels different from a real guitar. It's lighter, the strings are much softer, they're clearly not steel, but not nylon either.
The strings are very easy to bend and don't cut into the fingers a all.
      The electronics are... organic?
The pickups seem to be replaced by some sort of plant, and veins feed into an amp which consists of some sort of glowing organic bubbles.
It's quite a sight. I grab one of the stone picks attached to the guitar and try to play an F powerchord.
It's barely audible, and it doesn't sound right at all.

      "Volume!"
She turns what appears to be the volume knob on the guitar up.
I take a closer look at the guitar since it sounded quite wrong and notice it has 8 strings.
How on earth is an 8 string guitar tuned? I haven't even played a 7 string one...
I gently pick the first few strings individually. The first two sound quite deep, the third one seems to be tuned to E, the fourth to A, aah, suddenly something familiar!
I try to play a few simple chords on the lower strings, assuming they are in standard tuning, and it works just fine.
The guitar sounds more like a combination between a cello and a violin rather than an electric guitar, but I love the sound.
Yuya proceeds to explain some more parts of the guitar. There are actually some sort of distortion sliders directly on the guitar which is quite cool.
I'm still not really confident, finger positioning feels really easy on the very thin neck, but I'm afraid I won't be able to play very well.

I have no idea what to play, and she's staring at me...
For some reason I start playing Stairway to Heaven, not sure if I should feel like an idiot or not.
As my nervousness decreases I begin to play surprisingly well considering it's a very unfamiliar guitar.
      "There's a lady who's sure..."
Oh god, how cliche is this?
I feel stupid for singing and decide to stop, though I keep playing for a bit.
Yuya seems quite impressed that I seem to be doing ok with the guitar.

She grabs a guitar herself. It looks different from mine, I think it has even more strings.
I feel quite uneasy, she's going to want to play something together, and somehow I don't feel I have the skills to do it.

      "Let's play something powerful"
      "I'm not really that good..."
      "Pleaaaaaaase?"
"Right... What do you want to play?"

She starts to search for some chords, trying to figure out a song she's heard before.
Is she trying to play the Nightwish version of Phantom of the Opera?
I try to remember the riffs and crank the distortion on the guitar.
      I play a few notes.

"Yes! That one! Let's play that one!"
I have to try around quite a bit until I remember how to play the full song, but I get there.
Yuya plays lead over it, she mostly improvises, but it fits the song very well.
Then at one point, after starting from the beginning, she completely surprises me.

"In sleep he sang to me... In dreams he came~"

Her voice is so overwhelming, she's an absolutely phenomenal singer. Her voice is very powerful, yet very emotional.
I stop playing for a bit because I just can't believe how awesome her singing is.
Once I notice I've stopped I resume playing, completely focusing on her fantastic voice.

"That voice which calls to me... And speaks my name
And do I dream again... For now I find
The Phantom of the opera is here... Inside my mind"

My mind is blown, it's a good thing you can play guitar "on autopilot" or I wouldn't be able to keep going.
And then she looks at me, giving me a very clear sign with her head.
She wants me to sing the other part...

      "I'm a very bad singer..."
"Believe in yourself, you can do it!"

My part is coming up, I ponder whether or not I should try it... fuck it.

"Sing once again with me... Our strange duet."
Well shit, if I'm attempting this I should try to do it right.
I put a lot of power into my voice, try to get into the correct mood and let my emotions flow into the singing.

"My power over you... Grows stronger yet
And though you turn from me... To glance behind
The Phantom of the opera is there... Inside your mind"

It doesn't sound nearly as bad as it should.
In fact it sounds rather good, I'm quite impressed.
It's miles away from Yuya's singing skills obviously, but I have the confidence to keep going.
We keep singing and playing music for some time, I'm really enjoying it.
A lot of time passes as we try a few more songs.

As it starts getting dark we decide to stop and Yuya takes me to some sort of restaurant I guess?
In the city there's a few large tables outside, with dishes on them.
We sit down and have dinner, continuing to talk about all kinds of things.
We mostly talk about my life, about decisions I've made...
The food is quite good, very spicy, it reminds me of the Greek kitchen a bit.
I'm not really sure what it is we're eating though, it's some sort of animal with vegetables.
Everything tastes quite exotic, but I like all of it, except some weird potato like thing which just tastes weird.

After we're done eating we walk back to Yuya's place.
She's obviously tired, and she hangs on to my arm as we walk.
It's quite dark in her bedroom, which is completely open on one side.
You can see the sky and a waterfall quite far away.
As I stand there looking outside, Yuya takes her dress off.
I'm quite surprised by this, she's standing half naked in the same room with me now, though she has her back turned towards me.
There's something on her back? A tattoo? It's glowing in the dark.
As she puts on a dress for the night I remember that those are actually some sort of small animals.
They attach themselves to the back of a person and live of our body heat for some time until they are old enough to fly away.
Everyone living in Riven for some time has those. I wonder if I do.

Yuya gets into her bed, which I am standing rather closed to.
I'm a bit confused as to what to do.
      She's holding up the blanket.

      "You coming?"
      "Sure."
I take off my shirt and get into the bed.
I'm surprised by how normal this feels, I think I have slept with her in the same bed before...
She puts her right arm around me and rests her head on my right shoulder.

After just a few minutes she's asleep. I on the other hand have quite some trouble falling asleep.
I can't stop being amazed as I feel her breathing in her sleep.
At one point I do fall asleep though.

      (dream within a dream)
I see a younger version of myself in third person, probably about 15 or 16.
I'm with Yuya and Selene. Yuya looks the same way she does nowadays, her hair is a bit shorter.
We're in a huge battle. We're fighting some kind of daemon wielding an unnaturally big sword.
Selene is wounded, leaning against a pole and the daemon is attacking her.
I have wings of fire and a burning fire tattoo on my body. On my back the tattoo forms the face of a dragon.
I mimic the way dragons use their energy, allowing me to use their powers.
I manage to get between Selene and the daemon just in time.
The view switches to first person. I block the sword with both of my hands and put all of my energy into stopping the attack.
My back hits the pole and the blade cuts a few centimeters into my shoulder before I manage to stop it...

I wake up from the dream.
Yuya is already up and has made breakfast.
I sit down at the table and we drink a glass of juice. I'm not really hungry yet but I grab a slice of bread anyways.
Suddenly I realize I've just woken up and I forgot to RC.
(I think I'm in waking life since I woke up and I RC every time I wake up to catch FA's)
I do the nose pinch RC but it doesn't work, well, obviously it won't because I'm awake.
It takes me a few seconds to remember that I actually am dreaming, and I am very confused.

Then I remember that I went to sleep within a dream, I've never done that before.
My real body is still asleep in my bed...
      The vision fades.
Ah shit, I'm a fucking idiot thinking about that...
      I wake up.

I'm slightly confused for a few seconds after waking up.
The pieces quickly fit together though.
      I RC and get up.

      Most Emotional Dream (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

October was the last time I had a LD. I finally had another one. Although not exciting, it was touching.

      1. I was at my house playing a video game for the playstation. The game was a shooter game, and there was some odd things about it. First of all, you had to pick two sets of two characters. Each character would give you a different skill, such as more bullets, different guns, etc. The second weird thing is that you don't actually use the characters you select. You use yourself as a character. The final weird thing is you only get like, 10 bullets per gun, and you have to find a gun... by killing an enemy. The levels were easy, and it led me to make a crazy decision.
I decided to buy a cat. I don't remember what it looked like because I don't believe I even saw it. I am assuming it probably looked like either Tiger or Boots. I had a canopener and I put some catfood in my dog's food bowl. My dog wanted the food, so I knew I couldn't feed my cat here! I did feel bad, however, that I ignored my dog. I did not want him to get sick!
I was at my grandpa's house and went upstairs. I put some catfood in the bowl, so now there was double the catfood! My cousin Kyle came into the room and said he had to use the bathroom. He went into the bathroom, so I decided to play the video game again.
This level of the video game felt lifelike, so I chose my characters, and began to play. It was in a desert area, and of course, I had a limited amount of bullets. I cleared most of the bad guys in the main area, but when I went to a door, enemies just poured out! I died. I decided to try this tactic again, but use another door. It also failed.
I was sitting on the bed without the game and I did a nose-pinch RC.
I was able to breathe! I was happy I finally had a lucid after all of this time. I looked to my left, and I saw my grandma. I was in shock. (My grandma passed away years ago, and I never dreamt of her before.) She came up to me and said "I'm sorry that I came to your dreams last." I was trying not to cry, thinking I possibly my grandma's spirit came to me. I had so much to ask her. She sat down on the bed besides me, wearing the pink night gown she always wore, and said, "Remember, the Eagle Church has only one lane free of snow."
I woke up at my grandpa's house on the bed still. I quickly wrote down in my DJ the quote about Eagle Church, and I almost began to cry. I called my cousin, but he was still in the bathroom, so I decided to play the game some more. I cleared out the main area, but this time, I found a gun. I opened the door where the most enemies come out, and I tried to kill as many as I could. I cleared off about half of them, but I know I killed all of the robots. I jumped on a ledge, and they could not reach it. They walked down a ramp to get it, so I jumped off the ledge onto the main ground and ran through the door.
After going through the twisted, narrow, corridors, I came to a room filled with lava. I jumped on some Egyptianesque platforms, and a voice filled the room. It was some Evil God that was talking to me. He said that I was so skilled that he will now befriend me. A female ninja overheard this and was very angry.

      2. I was at my house, with none other than my cousin Kyle. We were going to be looking for ghosts, so we split up. As I walked to my sister's room, I heard the sound of two axes hitting each other. I tried to ignore it as I went into her room. The room was actually clean. I turned on my LED flashlight, which revealed small, green dots on the carpet leading to the window. Maybe it was alien footprints, or maybe it was ectoplasm. I don't remember the rest of the investigation, but I told my sister what we found. She left the house, along with everyone else. I was scared to be alone with the ghosts, so I quickly went on the computer.
