    1. Riding on the Bus

      by , 02-06-2011 at 10:10 AM
I woke up and I was on a bus. I wasn't too freaked out because I've nodded off on buses before. I was sitting near the front and there were two old ladies near the back. I could just make out what they were saying.

"Well, I'm somewhat glad we're finally on our way."
      "I don't really regret anything."

I didn't think anything of it. I looked out the window and noticed this wasn't any usual bus route I remember. Instead of driving around town, we were driving across some kind of desert on a worn trail. The bus left a big cloud of dust behind it as it drove. I walked up to the bus driver.

      "Hello, sir?" I asked.
He turned to look at me. "Yes?" he asked.
"I'm just wondering... where are we going?"
He looked solemn. He just turned away and said out of the side of his mouth, "Just... please, take your seat."

I was beginning to worry. I walked back to where the two women were so I could ask them.

"Um... pardon me a moment. Where is this bus going?" I asked.
They looked uneasy. "You don't know?" one of them asked. I shook my head.
The other just mumbled, "Oh dear..."
After a pause, the first woman said, "Sweetie... you're dead."
      "...what?" I finally managed.
"Why didn't you tell him?" the second woman yelled to the bus driver.
"I didn't want to tell a kid the bad news!" he answered.

I wandered back to my seat in shock. After a while, I looked up to the driver again and said, "I can't be dead!"
      "No?" he asked.
"No!" I said. "I was just napping in my bed!" This was true, I was napping around two in the afternoon when this dream happened.
"Really, now. Then why don't you just wake up?" he asked.
And I tried. I tried to wake up. I tried to open what was my physical eyes beyond what I could currently see and feel. After a while, I could not wake up. Panic began to build in me.

As time passed, some more people started to just appear on the bus. Some people in army uniform, more older women and gentlemen, but I just sat there not knowing what to think. There was so much I wanted to do. So much I didn't get to experience.

At some point, there was a bright light building on the horizon. We started to drive into it and it got brighter and brighter. When everything was perfectly white, I felt myself floating. Then I was on my feet and when the brightness went away, I was in my house.

"So... that's it?" I thought to myself. I wandered into the kitchen. I opened up the refrigerator looking to see if anything had changed. As far as I remember, everything was the same, which meant the fridge was not that full. "I'll have to go to the store later," I said out loud.

"The store?" someone asked behind me. It was followed with a disapproving sigh. I looked behind me to see who said that. Of all the people I hoped it wasn't, who I saw was at the top of the list.

      It was the bus driver.

"I can't be dead!" I yelled. "This is my house! This is where I live! This is my neighborhood! Look!" I ran to the front door and opened it. I could look down the street both ways and it was exactly how I remembered it. "See!? I can see down both directions!"

He just shook his head at me.

"I-I can't be dead!" I pleaded. "There are so many stories I haven't written! So many comics I haven't drawn!"

"I'm sorry," he said. "We can't let anyone go back except for special cases."

"What about stories?" I asked. I knew it sounded ridiculous, but I had to try. "What if I wrote a story so good that they had no choice but to send me back to share it?" He shrugged. I didn't know what he meant, but anything that wasn't a flat out rejection gave me hope. I thought for a while. "I'll have to do it within a certain someone's lifetime..." I said to myself.

After that, I woke up. I laid there staring at the ceiling not knowing if I was really alive or not.
    2. "when this burns, that will burn too"

I felt like I have had an introduction to this dream before. I recognized the bridge in it.

A family, which are depicted as members of my family are preparing to stay in a cabin / house on a tiny little island in something resembling to a fjord. The island only had room for a house with a floor. The house was white with dark brown lists. It was a great and wide wooden bridge to get to the island. At the bridge there is an old man with a blanket over him and a cap on his head sitting in a wheelchair. He has two holes where the left eye should have been. As if the eye had become skin tissue and was punctured. But they have said previously in a dream that he was not dead. The atmosphere is hazy, and over the bridge, I see only a mountain sticking up from the earth that goes sky high. The rest is just swamp, not a road even. Further than just across the bridge I do not see because of fog. Around the hut was only heather, all the way to the water.

There was a baby there, portrayed as Stewie Griffin from Family Guy. He played in the heather on the west side of the cabin when I heard some voices from nowhere and he argued with them. He died of some reason and the man in the wheelchair drove him west from the cabin with a pickup truck. On a road that did not exist. Later, the father and daughter (my sister and dad) are discussing something I don't remember, while she looked down into the water on her reflection. They stood on the north east side of the cabin. It felt like she were suicidal. I felt that everyone in the family would die.

Dream skip until night. The whole family sat and watched the reflection of a very similar cabin on the other side. The father explained that the same happens to the cabin as it happens with this. If it burned, this one burned also. I saw that the hut was burning and that this one also did, then the image disappeared. I now have a sort of guided tour of everything in place before I wake up again. Just like as the dream wanted me to remember it. I woke up.

You may call it a nightmare, but it didn't frighten me even though it was some pretty freaky images there. Like the old man with holes in his eye.

    3. 01/31/2011 - "Extinction-Level Event"

      Dream One (a)
      "Extinction-Level Event"

(This was the most horrifying, emotional set of dreams I have had in a while...)

      The Earth had been invaded.
High above what could have been every major city in the world, as far as I knew, massive alien spacecrafts hovered. They had come on the scene and looked down upon us, over the span of about 3 days. We never once got to see what these aliens looked like. Instead, they communicated with us telepathically, without ever having to leave their vessels. At first, they didn't say much. I really don't remember if they said anything at all, the first few days. They just kind of loomed over our heads, apparently observing us. Their intentions, at this point, were completely unclear.

Life somewhat continued, even with the presence of our 'visitors,' looming overhead. One day, I had made a few rounds to see some old friends. I know I saw quite a few of my people, but the only ones that really stood out were my baby's mom (who I'll call "G"), and an old "friend with benefits." There was another ex who I believe I might have seen as well, but I'm not exactly sure. Anyway, at one point, G and girl #2 sort of merged and became one person, with different attributes from both (and, of course, I didn't find this strange enough to become lucid ). We went to a fast-food restaurant and either the person on the drive-thru headset couldn't hear me, or there was some other reason why the girl(s) ended up having to go inside through a back door, while I pulled the car around front. Later that night, we were back at an apartment that we were apparently sharing, except I had my own room, and she had one. Despite the knowledge that there were enormous, city-sized space-ships hovering high over our heads, it seemed like a pretty normal night. She ended up going to sleep early, and it wasn't until well into the night that I remembered she had the bag of food with her, and it was now locked away in her room. I didn't feel like waking her up to get it, though, and just shrugged it off. The next morning, she was simply back to G's normal self. All resemblance of the other girl had vanished. It was on the third day (I believe) of their occupation, that the aliens finally decided to give us some insight. Not bothering to pay us any door-to-door visits, the beings simply beamed their thoughts into our heads. We were informed, rather matter-of-factly, that our entire species was about to be exterminated, and that, since they had took up positions that would allow their weapons to sweep over the entire planet, any attempts of escape were completely unnecessary. Armageddon was upon us, and there was nothing we could do about it.

Panic. It barely even had enough time to set in, before the bombing began. Thunderous booms shook our apartment, each one seeming as if were right outside our window. I was absolutely terrified - not so much of death, itself, but the thought of suffering until death. G was, surprisingly, not very affected by the situation. She seemed 100% sure that we were not going to suffer; that it would be quick, painless and peaceful. The chorus of explosions - stomping around the area outside - didn't instill the same sort of confidence within me. With my eyes wide with fear, and my voice the epitome of hysteria, I screamed at her the possibility of our building collapsing, and the two of us being caught in the rubble for God knows how long, our bodies broken, buried, and left to die, waiting for hope that would never come. Amazingly, she responded with a scoff. "Pfft. That only happens in movies," she said. I was floored, immediately switching from frightened to furious that she would just dismiss such a likely scenario. I said "what are you talking about?! Being get trapped in collapsed buildings all the time!! Don't you watch the news?!" My tirade was cut short by a few more deafening blasts, even closer than the previous ones. The entire building shook, and I was actually thrown off of my feet. This one apparently rattled G as well, because we both grabbed each other and huddled together on the bed - our heads ducking in unison; hearts jumping out of our chests with each successive bang from outside.

I was a complete wreck. I don't know that I've ever been so scared. Unable to control my fear, I burst into tears, absolutely terrified of the horrible death that would soon be coming for us. But, once again, G remained rather stoic. She held me close, cradling my head to her, and actually began singing to me to console me! (It was just the most incredible situation, seeing as how I'm usually the one with my head screwed on during stressful times.) Suddenly, there was one final BOOM, right on top of us, and everything went black. (The whole thing reminded me of the final scene in Cloverfield.)

In the 3 or 4 seconds of darkness, I received a message. I can't recall if I saw it in my field of vision, or if it was just telepathic. The message was just kind of 'there.' The message was "You and your daughter..." and that was it. I have absolutely no idea what it was supposed to mean, or where it came from. (Oddly enough, my daughter never made an appearance in the dream.)

      Dream One (b) (FA)
I suddenly 'awoke' on the same bed, eyes full of tears. I looked around the room, which seemed completely undisturbed, and found G sitting on the floor. There were pizza boxes stacked on some of the furniture, and G looked as if we'd just been lounging around the house, shooting the shit all day. Sitting up with a start, I frantically asked her about the aliens, and why the bombing would have just suddenly stopped. She looked at me like she didn't have any clue what the fuck I was talking about. My mind raced. I was thinking that there was just no way I could have imagined all of that. With an extreme sense of urgency, I asked her to tell me what the date was. She didn't know it, so I asked her what day of the week it was, and she said Tuesday. Tuesday, I remembered, was the day that the aliens had actually showed up. I had been transported back to Tuesday...but there were no aliens this time! The only thing I could keep asking myself was 'How is this possible??'

G looked over at the window, a bright light flooding into the room. Passively, she said "that's really pretty," and I was immediately alarmed. I looked out the window, myself, expecting to seeing the bright, swelling light of a nuclear explosion, ready to brace for yet another inevitable shock wave. However, there was no explosion. It was just the sun, rising into the sky, at the beginning of this new day. There really were no aliens, this time. I wasn't able to believe - for one minute - that what I had experienced was a dream. Instead, I figured that I was somehow given another chance at life. I had somehow been transported back to that Tuesday, but without the threat of attack. The human race was no longer in danger of being exterminated. Relief doesn't even begin to describe how I felt. I was practically shaking. The emotions flooded back into me, and I began to cry softly. My eyes remind dry, but if the tears had come, they would have been tears of joy for simply being alive.

(When I woke up from this dream, I felt like I had a hole in my chest. I was completely emotionally drained, and I just sat and stared at the floor for a good five minutes. There is really nothing like honestly believing you are about to die, and then suddenly waking up, safe and sound in your bed. I was numb for a good portion of the day, after coming back from this insane trip.)

Ok. I couldn't get on yesterday so...
      1-28-11
dream1. I was at Atlantic...or Ardent...records. I watched as Skillet recorded an acoustic version of a song. It was "Never Surrender". Ben was singing. When they were done, Ben told me that he'd sang 2 others and I got this "ohhh" look on my face. THen I woke up.

dream2. I was with a dream version of Alucinor, I think. I asked him when I'd get better dream control. "Alucinor" told me I would get better after a while. Then I woke up.

      Last night.
Dream1. I was at my house. I was in my living room. I held a card that had a pic of Frodo and the ring on it. A RingWraith appeared in my house and demanded I gave him the card. I didn't. I ran into the hallway and we began to negotiate. I saw that the door to my room was open and I ran in there and locked the door. The 7ft tall RingWraith said I'd regret that and I pressed my back against the door, to keep him from forcing it open. He punched it open and I hid behind the door, screaming, "Oh please no. No no no! NO!!!" as he thrust his sword into my side and I screamed, "Oh God help me!! GAHHGHGH!!!!" Then I "died" and woke up @ 2:48am, sweating and freaking out.

      My Notes

      Lucid
      Awake

I had three dreams last night.

In the first dream I'm in the piano room with my parents. The wooden desk from my older brother's room is there. For some reason there's movie posters on the wall opposite the fire. There are lots of little white dolls around the floor. I know that they're XKCD dolls that I must have bought. I think one was cracked.
I'm now in my bedroom with my brother, who is holding a stick or something, accidentally smacks my telly. I look at the damage, and there's one dead pixel and a small dent.

The second dream was very strange. I was with a group of people who even now I can't recall at all. We were in some sort of puzzle from a game. There were different sections all in the one area, each with a different terrain. I was in the jungle area next to a person. I pointed to a stone section saying we'd come from there, event though I have no memory of ever being there. Over the wall of this section I see a desert section. There's nothing there but an insect (or bug) that looks like a cockroach. It runs around when a small animal digs out the sand and eats it.
I'm at a different section of the puzzle now. I have to get across to another section. To get across I have to get across a flying fox. The only problem is that it's uphill. The Stig from top gear goes first and does it fine. There are people on the other side. I give it a try and fail. The people all start giggling at me, because I "don't know the right way to do it." I eventually manage it, by stopping the rope half way and pulling my self up.

In the third dream I was in my kitchen. A character from the TV series "New Tricks" was there as well (not as himself). For some reason I knew that he had done something bad in his past, but I decided to forgive and not judge him.
"Where are the glasses?" He asks me
"They're up there in the top cupboards" I say, as I point to the cupboard.
"I can't reach them; I have something wrong with my back."
Even though he says this he still gets a glass. As he puts it on the bench, I remember he slowly fell asleep. I knew something was wrong, because he looked like he was in pain. A man, who looked like a WW2 soldier, walked into the living room, and I tell him to quickly call the police.

Since I went to sleep so stupidly late, I never even woke to my alarm. I should have better luck this week, as I'll finally have a proper sleeping cycle.

    7. Oblivious Party

by , 01-27-2011 at 07:22 AM (Trial and Error)
(in the same week as Golden Gate Death, a previous dream)

It starts off as a school stress dream. Me and one of my friends from my class have our final (during finals week) and we can't find a place to print our papers. etc.

      The dream shifts

My friend is still there, I am pretty sure he is just a carry over from the previous dream.

We are taken hostage, by a man with a gun. He is wearing a white shirt and has black hair. He is having small talk with my friend about something. I tell him something like "you wont get away with this."

In the distance I can hear a fancy party going on. All I can see are shadows, and hear feint music and talking. I say something like "you can fire that gun because they'll hear you." He says something like "oh yeah..."
He shoots me in the stomach. I don't feel the pain but I feel wet, and I feel it extend as a bleed.
The party continues to go on with no one noticing. I am confused on how they could not hear something so loud.

I try to get their attention, and yell "Help!" I feel myself become weaker.
No response. I feel my body being drained, I am getting tired, but I know if I fall asleep I'll die.
"help.." I yell noticeably quieter. The gunman mocks me. "You can never reach them now"

I know I am going to die no matter what now, it is to late to save me. But I can at least not let that asshole get away with just shooting me and going on his merry way.

I take a deep breath and prepare myself "HELP!!" I scream until the fabric of the dream fades and I wake up saying "help"

      I felt empty all day...

    8. Golden Gate Death

by , 01-27-2011 at 07:03 AM (Trial and Error)
(From middle of last year, more or less)

I started off looking at a cage full of crazy rabid monkeys. Clearly something wrong with them. Suddenly, guards walk in and begin to shove a bunch of people into the cage. They scream as the monkeys jump all over them tearing at their skin and beating them.

      Dream jumps

One of the guards carries a girl toward golden gate bridge and the bay bridge. (they are right next to each other and small maybe 20ft high 40 feet across or so) The bridges are covered with long spikes, most of the spikes holding a dead bled out body. There is a clear empty space on golden gate. The girl is scared but not fighting back, just seems to be hoping she will live while thinking she would die.

I realize my presence in the space (not as a dream, just in the area) and become frantic wanting to help the girl but realizing that I do not exist on the same realm. I have the thought "what if the girl is me." I watch as the guard lifts the girl in position in front of a spike. She hyperventilates but is unable to fight back. He thrusts her into the spike, and she bleeds to death with the other bodies.
    9. Gladiator, Redneck Style

      by , 01-26-2011 at 12:53 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1/26/11

Finally, after 4 days, some recall worth mentioning. I hope this means my dryspell is cured.

      1- Gladiator, Redneck Style
I am standing in a line in the middle of a field with my mother and some other people, facing a crazed farmer who is talking about the Arena Games that we are about to fight in. The girl beside me mentions "respawning at one-third power." Oh good, I think to myself sarcastically, That way we can suffer painful deaths all afternoon.

The farmer introduces this enormous truck/tractor hybrid whose headlights resemble big angry eyes. The hood pops open and it's "tongue," a powerful bulldozer arm, tastes the air hungrily. "Meet Bulldozer, the tractor god!" the farmer thunders. Bulldozer picks the man up with his tongue and sits him in the control seat. "Here's a little demonstration on speed, for those of you who are thinking about running off." He drives around us in circles; it's clear that you won't be able to outrun the thing. Suddenly the games are starting, and zombies crawl up through the ground to double our problems.

Bulldozer kills my mother almost immediately. Fear pulses through my veins as I face the monstrous vehicle, but I ignore it and leap over the hood, kicking the farmer in the head. He laughs at me, saying I watch too many zombie movies, then embeds a knife into my forehead. It doesn't hurt that badly, so I continue to kick him, trying to break his neck. The knife falls from my head to the ground behind us.

Just as I'm about to deal the finishing blow, one of the farmhands (or possibly one of the other challengers) picks up the fallen knife and stabs me in the side, digging the blade across my stomach. The pain is agonizing; blood pours from my mouth as I die.

((Despite the pain and everything, this was a really fun dream!))
    10. The War of the Worlds

      by , 01-23-2011 at 05:49 PM
So, I had this insanely epic dream just a few hours ago. I thought I should write it out on dreamviews.

The War of the Worlds - I don't know how it happened, but there was an evil dictator taking over our town. He lived in a giant castle and had any weapon at his disposal. Me and a few friends were the only ones left alive that wouldn't submit to him. Most of our town had been turned into smoking ruins.

It started with just me and a two or three friends. We were trying to get away, to somewhere safe. We knew we couldn't last if we stayed. We were wearing ghillie suits, or some other type of camo. I remember vividly that I had bullet-proof riot gear and helmet, with moss and leaves on top of it all so I could blend in better. My friends and I had only airsoft weapons, why we carried them around, I have no idea.

All of a sudden someone I knew ran out of the bushes. "Dear god, can you help me?" He explained. We told him to hop into our group and we'd get him so camouflage soon. I told him we were heading to my house, and that I had an extra Ghillie Suit he could use to hide in. He agreed and jumped in with us.

When we got to my house, it was quiet. Very quiet. It was odd because that part of the town had not been ruined yet, and my lawn was lush and green. We went to the back, and then we saw some neighbour kids. They were having fun shooting each other with airsoft guns, like they had no idea what was going on. As soon as we got there my friends started shooting at them for fun with our airsoft guns, and it seemed like I was the only one who remembered what was going on. For a second it was like I just wanted to be sucked into this innocent childish game, but I knew something was wrong. Something was out of place. All of a sudden I heard distant booms. Booms of artillery, and that shocked the sense back into me. "MOVE!" I screamed, which seemed to make everyone realize what was going on. I grabbed two people by the collar quickly and began dragging them, running as fast as I can. Seconds later artillery began raining down around us, but thankfully the ones who had moved fast enough were slightly ahead of the bursts. I turned around to see my friend on this old swing-set that had a slide on it. He was trying to scramble down, but he wasn't fast enough. An artillery shell hit the set square on and he was gone. I pressed on with the people who were left.

The artillery barrage began to follow us, someone was tracking our movements. There were more of us now, maybe 8 or 9 total. We were running as fast as we can. I let go of the two I was dragging finally and they began sprinting with us. There were craters everywhere, and the artillery wouldn't stop. All I could think about was making it to a large house, somewhere safe. We ran and ran, until finally we made it to a gigantic medieval Japanese Dojo. We quickly ran inside, where we stayed until the barrage ended. After catching our breaths we walked outside, and we were greeted by the sight of flaming ruins, broken buildings, and bodies. It was impossible to think anyone was still alive. All of a sudden this small Chinese man walked past us, and I couldn't stop staring at him. There was something about him that made me want to run after him. He was wearing this smug smile on his face like he knew what was going on. I was turning to go run after him, up the stairs of the dojo when all of a sudden a dog tried attacking our group. It wasn't some mangy stray dog, but a strong attack dog. We knew who sent it. It got caught in part of a broken fence and my friend tried jumping and kicking it, but that just made the dog angrier. The dog charged me, and I was in no mood for games. When it jumped at me I slammed it into the ground as hard as I could. I felt internal organs rupture and the dog howled as blood poured, and splattered everywhere. I stood up and told someone that we at least had food now, and I went to go sit and figure out a plan on how to get some weapons....

I think there was more after that. I remember a fragment where we WERE armed, stealing weapons from enemy soldiers. We wanted revenge, and that's all we were trying to do. Kill as many of them as possible for what they did to our town, our families, and our friends.

    11. What Dreams May Come...

      by , 01-23-2011 at 08:48 AM
I was just checking out some dreams that I had typed up elsewhere a long time ago, and decided to put them on here.

This first one occurred at the beginning of last year. It was very intense...

I had this one dream today that was kind of foggy. I was with this one guy I know from work and we were talking about something, but I dont really know what. I think we were just walking or standing and there were two cement blocks on either side of this creek/ river thing. And two teams were on them. One had the San Francisco Giants, and the other New York or something like that. I think the guy I was with was talking about who would win in a game or something.

Another dream I had occurred the night I saw Nine. That one was really clear, I remembered it almost to the last detail. It was crazy. Anyhow what I remember of it was this. I was laying down feeling really, sick, hot, cold, and uneasy and woke up to find my self on a white sleeping bag in some type of grassy pasture. When I looked around me, I saw a bunch of shadows, and a series of whit sleeping bags in a circle. Although most of the sleeping bags were empty, there was one where a acquaintance I just met was sleeping. He woke up and asked me what was wrong, and I told him I needed to take a walk and gain my bearings. When I got up, I had a huge stomach, and was a little off balance, but my acquaintance soon joined me and we walked along this path that led through some white apartments. Each apartment had a plot of ground, and each plot of grass had a sign. When we came to one of the last plots I saw a gravestone with my name on it, and I began to shiver. What does that mean? I asked? I'm not dead am I? The doctor said I had at least two years. Im not gonna die, its not that bad is it? I said that to the guy, and he said I was alive and that I would get over my sickness soon, so I needn't worry about dying. Then he pulled me in an embrace and I began to cry, before slowing my breathing and just leaning into him.

After a bit more walking, we came to a white tower with a partially closed door. When we got in side, I saw a spiraling staircase leading to the top of the tower. There was no grass here, just brown dirt, walls, webs, and a pair of black shoes. It looked as if no one had been in it for a while. When I looked at the black shoes one of them had Big black spiders inside of it and I dropped it right away. I said I didn't want to touch the spiders, and he shook them out or something. I still didn't put on the shoe, but then he took my hand, and we started to walk up the steps.

Then I was back in the grassy pasture. I woke up and looked around, but there was no one there. I was worried about the man, and saw a picture of him with a little boy whom I was also concerned for. I wasn't feeling so sick, and I walked along the same path that I had done before. There were no signs this time, but the tower was still there. And when I went into it, I saw four weird looking creatures, and white shoes with a few spiders. I lased a weird creature, and then closed my eyes. I felt another prescence in the tower and when I opened my eyes, the man who I had just been thinking about was there. He kneeled down to my level and put his hand on my leg, saying that I had hit the kid. I said I didn't know, I didn't see, and asked if he was ok. The little boy appeared from behind my acquaintance quite unharmed and gave me a hug. The man said of course, and he and boy started to walk away. I picked up the white shoes and shook out the small spiders, and slipped them on my feet. When I looked up they were almost out of sight.

I took my first step up the tower, and woke up.

    12. Resident Evil Meets Vampires

      by , 01-21-2011 at 10:41 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1/21/11

Wow. I remembered about 90% of this movie-like dream upon awakening, but I quickly lost about 80% more before I even had the chance to think about it.

      1- The Second End

      Our Future

We have suffered an apocalypse under the vampires. After a long and epic struggle, Alice, Claire, and I have managed to kill off a good majority of them. Unfortunately, they've also managed to kill off most of our convoy and nearly all of my fellow werewolves.

We think the hard part is over, that we can begin to rebuild. But Fate strikes us down as Claire begins to speak a prophecy that has suddenly been delivered to her. "The future of humanity depends upon the T where blood flows." ((Oh. Ohhhhh! I just realized that it was talking about Alice! Duh!))

"What the hell does that mean?" I ask, somewhat worried.

"I don't know. But it doesn't sound good."

She also receives a scrambled word: n-g-e-i-t-a

"Eating," Alice says, before I even process it. Wow, she's quick.

"We're not out of the clear yet, apparently. Don't let your guards down," I say. As if they ever would.

      The Ship
Something is definitely not right aboard this ship. The crew seem nice, but I sense something off about them. My suspicions are confirmed just as I am searching for Alice and Claire to warn them of the danger I feel sure that we're in. One of our convoy members is sedated and dragged into a secret room as I watch from the shadows. I put my ear to the door and listen while crew discusses chopping her up and preparing her as tonight's meal. "Eating," I whisper to myself with realization and horror. This ship--- it's a trap. And we fell right into it.

My haste to find Alice and Claire has grown exponentially, but they are walking with several crew members (Umbrella operatives, I now realize) when I come across them. One of the men leads Alice, Claire, Carlos, an unknown woman from our convoy, and myself into a small room and locks us in. "Great," I mutter. "I was just coming to warn you, but I guess I was too late."

Suddenly a chute opens up in one of the walls, and two vampires frozen with sedatives fall into the room. The chute closes, leaving us trapped, weaponless, with the monsters.

The female vamp animates almost immediately, killing the helpless woman and sinking her teeth deep into my arm before I can stop her. The virus quickly works it's way into my system, and....

...I switch to Alice's point of view. I can only watch as my werewolf friend kills off the she-vamp before succumbing to the virus herself. F*cking Umbrella Corp, I think with fury, After all we've done to get rid of the virus, and now they're SPREADING it? There is no time for such thoughts, however. My once-comrade is now coming at me with a hungry look in her eyes, her werewolf genes making the effect of the virus that much more powerful.

I am taken aback by how quickly she moves, by how quickly her sharp teeth sink into my flesh. No... How did it come to this?

I kick her off me, watching as my hands become the clawed hands of the very monster I lived to destroy. But wait. I still have my thoughts... All hope might not be lost.

I look up to see Claire and Carlos backed up against the wall as the newly turned vampire stalks up to them. No. I can't bear for them to die, too. With a feral snarl, I slam my monstrous hand into Hazel's head, and am somewhat surprised when it flies off her shoulders and lands on the floor with a sickening squelch. This power... it's too much.

At that moment, the dark-skinned male vamp snaps to life beside me. "Don't be alarmed," he says hastily, sensing that he is about to share the same fate as my now headless comrade. "You're going to need my help." That accent... I realize immediately that this must be one of the living Vampires from legend, a race of immortals unrelated to our hellish virus.

He tells me that Umbrella has had him frozen for quite some time, so I give him a quick debriefing of current events. "We had the werewolves fighting for us," I say, drawing my story to a close, "but they're all dead now." I look down at Hazel's body with remorse. What a cruel fate...

      The Shooting
      *3rd Person*

Four Umbrella operatives are standing on deck, peering into the small room from their vantage point at the top level. "Okay, boys," one of them, their commander, begins in a decisive tone, "it's been long enough. Open fire."

The three gunmen begin shooting, each unloading their entire supply of bullets into the small room in what, for any other group of people, would seem like overkill. "There's no way they could have survived that," one of the young men says proudly.

Little do they know that below deck, crawling through the leaking pipes steadily toward them, a Vampire and his newfound companions are-----

"MEOW! MEEEOOOW" My cat lets me know, LOUDLY, how displeased she is at being locked out of my room. GAH! I want to find out what happened!
    13. Critters on a Train!

      by , 01-18-2011 at 11:51 PM (Dreamjumper)
It is interesting to note that while James is the dreamer of this, I was the main character of it in a featured role/guest appearance. I will periodically post similar dreams in which I didn't dream, but appeared in. These will have a disclaimer and be tagged under "featured role/guest appearance"

Before the Dream: It is my birthday night and I spend it with my girlfriend and four other of my friends. There are six of us total. We spend part of the night on a pub crawl, as we visit as many bars in town as possible. The final count was 7, I believe. We take a taxicab back to my apartment and a pajama slumber party commences. Everybody passes out. My girlfriend Sarah and I in our bed, anoter couple, Mannie and Maggie, in the spare bed, our single male and female friends Randi and James sleep on the couch and floor, respectively. James, the friend sleeping on the floor, had the following dream:

      Critters on a Train!

I am with 5 of my friends. My girlfriend Sarah, My best friend Mannie and his girlfriend Maggie, and our single male and female friends James and Randi. The feeling is ominous and tense as we stand on a platform at a station and board the back of a train. The train speeds off and within moments everything goes to hell.

A strange power flux affects the lights and power on the train. In the flickering of the shadows we can see that things were moving and we are not causing it. We can't tell what they are yet but they are the eponymous Critters from the 1986 film.

Things return somewhat to normal when the lights do. The Critters escape undetected and leave to feed on the passengers of the train in order to replicate and make more of themselves. A strange and enigmatic dream figure is helping us in the form of "the expert." We never meet this figure in person and only communicate to it through earbuds. What is interesting is that the "expert" feels like it was one of them, possibly a critter from a rebellion that didn't agree with what they were trying to do to our planet. the expert gives us the back story and tells us what we must accomplish.

We must stop the critters before the train reaches its destination: a densely populate metropolitan city. If the critters reach the city it will mark the beginning of the end of the world; invasion. Everybody is nervous but me. I lead the group and head off to investigate the ruckus. We manage to find and confront a cornered critter. The critter shoots one of its classic paralyzing quills directly into my girlfriend's throat. Sarah spurts blood all over the place and stumbles back. The critters swarm Sarah and feed on her flesh. She is the first to be killed.

In the room Sarah is killed, we discover a hidden critter ship, evidence of their invasion. We continue on, five of us now. Searching for the critters. They hide well, behind boxes, just out of view... yet we can hear them moving around on top of the train cars, and this gives us some sort of advantage in following them. Randi, our single female friend is panicking now that Sarah is dead and wants nothing to do with saving the world. Her only concern is in surviving. Thought the train is speeding toward a city, Randi has a bright idea and postulates that if we escaped into the last car of the train and separated it from the train, we could coast to safety. But I cannot deter from my goal, though I would love to keep my life, I cannot let the critters survive and make it to humanity or all will be lost and Sarah died for nothing.

James, however, believes in her plan and the two of them go to the end of the train. They are chased by more critters, who have exponentially reproduced. Randi and James make it into the last car but have trouble separating it due to the attacking critters. James manages to separate the car from the train, but is overtaken by a swarm of critters, sacrificing himself to ensure Rand's safety. With the car detached, it coasts away from the train to safety. Randi is the only other survivor of this tale.

It's strange to note that even though James, the dreamer, is killed by the critters... the dream continues on without him (as he takes an impersonal and omniscient observational roll, watching the rest of the dream play out)

Maggie has died "off-screen" which leaves my best friend Mannie and I, together alone, in James' dream. At this point everybody else on the train is either dead or dying, and there are countless critters. Mannie and I fight for quite a while together, I don't know how we manage to survive. Our plan is to get to the control room at the front, make the train go as fast as possible and switch it to a track that dead ends.

Mannie is killed in an ensuing battle, and the realization that everybody I know is dead (except for Randi) sends me into a stupor and rage. It's almost as if I absorbed Mannie's power when he died, because I become freakishly empowered and strong. I use the golf club I picked up along the way and go on a killing rampage toward the front of the train, more determined than ever. I reach the control center in the nose of the train and crank everything to where it needs to be. I switch tracks as the train surpasses full speed and I use the decapitated head of a critter as weight for the dead man's switch. I smash all of the other controls so the critters can't stop the train.

As the train nears its dead end crash, I am losing energy but remain confident in my actions. I fight as many of them as I can and dive off the train just before it was crashes. The train explodes, as each car goes up in flames. I see a few critters on fire in their rolling ball form on the ground and I smash them with what remains of my golf club. I am the only other survivor. The critters are dead. The city is safe.
    14. Oceans On Fire

      by , 01-16-2011 at 01:00 AM (Dreamjumper)

The scene starts with lights upon a guitar. As soon as there is a solid awareness of the guitar it instantaneously shatters into pieces. The guitar strings elongate and distort to become the legs of a real woman dancing on Broadway.

A marionette puppet walks by on its own accord.

The Broadway gal sticks her long lizard-tongue out at me as she slowly but surely turns full reptilian. The puppet walks on alone, somberly through dark corridors. A large butcher knife comes down from the ceiling and cuts the puppet in half. The puppet reattaches itself and stands up to escape, but the butcher knife comes back down and dices the puppet into neat little squares, and then minces it into bits.

The bits of marionette puppet instantly ignite afire, engulfing the world’s oceans. I see the world, with all it’s oceans on fire. Dolphins, ablaze, jump into the air and hang for a moment before sinking under waves of flame. The clouds, too, were on fire and angels fell from the sky.

I stand alone and scream in agony before graphically tearing myself in two to the bone. My skeleton catches fire. With the entire world ablaze, it looks like a fireball. It incinerated into a tiny burning ember in the center of a baby’s eye. I pan out to see the baby in full view as the butcher knife reappears dicing the baby to bits. The puppet somberly reenters with a broom and dustpan, to sweep the bits of baby up and dump it into the garbage.
    15. My death in a dream

      by , 01-15-2011 at 09:21 PM
I am standing near a highway, it's dark. My cousin jumps on a motorcycle and tells me to follow her. She drives along the road and i follow her without a motorcycle. So while we drive(well i'm still using my uber fast legs to catch up) we pass by a biker who just had an accident, there's blood but i don't remember the details. Then we see another one. Then suddenly my cousin drives into bushes, I'm scared so i run to her but she comes out of the bush as if nothing happened. But then we see an another accident, a police car stops near to our location, 2 policemen get out of the car. They don't see us, but my cousin shouts ''HEY!!'', i try to stop her but it's too late, one of the policemen has shot me and my head falls on my left shoulder. Even thought i am dead i am still conscious. First i'm so shocked because it happened so fast, then i am thinking something like this: ''But i have things to do yet, i didn't do this and that.Eh what am i thinking, i am dead so it doesn't matter anymore, that was only a body. The real me is here, i have to concentrate maybe i'll see two shining lights (why exactly two? ) then i have to go throught them.Maybe now i will be able to be enlightened.'' ..hmm..i wonder if death in real life will be like this
