    1. Potion of forbidden knowledge

      by , 12-28-2017 at 09:38 PM
      28 Dec

My awareness spikes in the middle of the dream, making me pay more attention to the surroundings. I am certain this is a dream and happy about it.

It takes a bit to recall my totm intentions and in the meantime I decide to improvize and go bananas with dream control. I start a massive onslaught on the dream environment, initially tking all sorts of objects in sight and later doing impromptu room modifications. It seems to come quite naturally although I am not too sure what precisely am I trying to accomplish. The technique is look straight ahead and modify with thoughts the door and everything behind it, and once changed, bring it back to its original version. <possibly subconsciously trying to integrate a version of the portal from Dr Strange>

Once I have calmed down a bit, I finally recall I wanted to do task of the month. There was a familiar DC running around so I ask him to bring to me the potion of forbidden knowledge. He gives me a light blue medieval type of bottle and I drink the small amount of liquid it contains. Nothing happens for a while, which leaves me slightly disappointed as I was preparing for some sort of false memory revelation to take place.

I still feel quite euphoric being in the dream and I recall how you can actually use dreams to improve yourself, including physically <quote below>. At this stage I am very enthusiastic and totally determined to use the dream to influence my appearances and get more muscular. Quite conveniently a mirror appears right ahead, so I look at myself as I try to flex my stomach muscles. As if this isn't enough to get me in good shape, I decide to do some crunches and get on the floor.

I also imagine myself doing crunches every time I have a lucid dream, as a part of a new fitness routine. I do around 10 crunches with great ease. The movements are really light and pleasant, but this seems to exhaust my concentration and the dream soon ends.

Yes and no: You won’t really get a six-pack just by dreaming, but research shows that envisioning yourself doing exercises can make specific muscles stronger, so you should get a stronger belly than if you didn’t dream about crunches. In general, if you want to improve in waking life, dreams are the perfect place to do it.
    2. Drink Up To Bad Health (18.9.14)

      by , 09-18-2014 at 02:02 PM (CHiLLEN's Dream Journal)
      Dream

I make some kind of potion which is suppose to enhance longevity and health. The indigence are strong substances that you would think are toxic. Your average person wouldn't be able to get their head around it.

I'm down an isle in a supermarket. My brother is in another isle, about to drink the potion. I'm yelling out to him to not be a pussy and that it's good for you. I'm unsure if he actually tries it.
Daryl has tried it and he comes to me and says he tried it. I'm holding a glass which has the dark liquid in it. It's only filled up about an inch. I take tiny sip and my whole mouth and throat close up on me. It's the weirdest feeling. It's like I had just drank pure poison. This freaked me out a lot, changing my perspective on what I had created. I wasn't convinced that this would be beneficial, and that it would be down right dangerous.

I can see the Honey I had bought today. It wasn't in it's original container and now is in a squeeze bottle.
    3. Bob Ross's Death and Potion Ingredient Keep-Away

      by , 08-27-2014 at 01:11 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was watching something about the life and death of Bob Ross. I saw him doing his painting show. I think it was saying he died because of an addiction. I then was, for some reason, getting his death confused with my grandpa, and his confused with my dad (who is alive IWL). I felt very sad for the loss of my dad, thinking of how I just saw him. I felt confused though, as if it wasn't quite right.

Then, I was walking around a shopping mall with my mom when my old dealer called me up, telling me he had some "good cigarettes and some good stuff" for me if I wanted. He said he'd bring it by my house (the house I grew up in). I told him I'd be home in ten minutes. I hoped my mom didn't know I was talking to a dealer on the phone. Not long after that, he called me back to ask where I was. I asked him if he was still living in the same place. He said yes, but he was at my place. I said I'd be there soon. He had his friend over at the house bringing me the goods. He said he'd have to call him or something.

      ~

This whole dream was literally a video game. It looked as if it had pixelated Gameboy Color graphics. It started out with a boiling potion in a weird, square container. It was very foamy. I and someone else had to stop the potion from becoming fully effective because it would end the world or something like that. We put something in it to neutralize it. We spent the remainder of the game trying to keep the potion ingredients from the witch, who kept finding us. We were in a house for the last part of it, and she somehow got ahold of all the ingredients. The last two she added were broccoli and carrots. I knew we were doomed. Either we restarted the game from an earlier save, or we somehow neutralized the potion. We used powdered, green ginger to neutralize it.

This dream was longer, but I can't remember details, only the general gist of what happened.

      ~

Not sleeping so well again. Extremely tired but that doesn't seem to make any difference. I'm tired of being tired.
    4. Facelift

      by , 01-12-2014 at 02:28 AM
      Date: 10 Jan

      Pre bed: turmeric

Sleep was rather bad, like I was lacking some sleep chemicals, recall from non-lds pre bed - close to zero.

Wbtb: felt sleepy, had 1/3 latte

DILD+DEILDs: In a room and there's this kid from my childhood and he is somewhat grown up now. I am thinking about that. He's naked from the torso up and is sweating while vacuum cleaning. I am sitting behind a desk, contemplating and the thought that I was supposed to be lding comes to mind.

I begin to examine the surroundings and wonder if this could be a dream. Yet my thoughts are so orderly and organized at this moment and everything feels more like real life than dream (no usual dreamy feeling).

I keep thinking in what feels like a daylife manner, reflecting on lack of dream feeling. I know that in such a case I have to perform a RC, but I don't see any sense (like it's possibly going to fail). Something in me tries to convince me and kind of distantly makes me feel that right now my body is in horizontal position and asleep. I conclude that it is a dream and remember my goals. There is a black girl with ponytail and I reverse the inital plan (make an old man younger for the opposites task) and decide that I will make a potion to make her age instead. I feel conscientious about doing this to a little girl and how evil it looks, but really want to see the results.

There are a number of small items like two small cups, nail-size gemstones and something else I can't recall. While the dream is generally very stable, it begins to thin out at this point and I am left feeling concentration wise powerless and slowly find myself back in my body. Not ready to let go I remain still and short afterwards the I am back in the same dream.

It comes slightly as a surprise that I succeeded to resume from the same place, but welcome it and continue mixing my potion that looks like a shot of cough syrup. If I am not mistaken by the time I'm done mixing the dream thins out again and I am shortly back in my body.

The dream resumes again. This time I wait a bit before undertaking any task related action, thinking it may be proper to stabilize at this point so I unconvincingly rub my hands and run my fingers through a nearby towel, feeling it's texture. At this point the little girl and my childhood friend are nowhere in sight. I move away from where I was standing and look around, the entire room looks extremely realistic and detailed, filled to the brim with objects. It's like I am really in someone's room or a life memory. There are way too many objects for me to memorize so I don't try to, just remember a number of toy boxes with something written on the them in red, and a very prominent display of video games. There are two black gaming machines like from the late 80s.

The DC of my bf comes from somewhere as I am examining the room. Suddenly, I feel coldness on my feet and look below to see that I am barefoot and feel the cold coming from the green tiles on the floor. This is simply amazing and this whole dream feels incredibly life like detailed and stable (not so much vivid as detailed). I analyze this and share it with my bf who agrees with me. At this point I briefly wonder whether I might have run accross a smart DC and should ask some questions, but then remember my other tasks.

This time it feels appropriate to summon a DC and work from there. I decide I want to call Mrs. and think about her. The part of the apartment where I am looking, mentally calling for her is a bit dark and I briefly worry a scary DC might appear instead, but in a second, a DC that closely resembles her comes in. She has some sort of hat/bandage on the head. I get closer and begin to examine her face, she has lots of wrinkles on her forehead, around the mouth and saggy cheeks. I place my palms above her face to cover the places I want to change and then move my hands away. Initially, her face remains the same, but after a few more procedures the wrinkles visibly diminish. She doesn't look as young as I wanted but at least her skin is in much better condition, as if she just had a facelift.

Somewhere around this moment, the dream fades again. I know the drill and continue as usual, in the meantime become worried about my memories after each blackout/deild. I mentally count the number of blackouts to be sure, 3.

Back in the same room. I feel that I have spent too much time with this task, while there were other main tasks I had in mind. Time to go out and look for a palace. I head for the window and look down. Nooo! The whole dream continues to be worryingly detailed and realistic and it doesn't feel like a good idea to jump out of the window. I gather courage and hang on to nearby windows and water pipes to go down.

On the street I look around for a suitable building but become overwhelmed. In every direction I look are closely packed residential buildings. Finally, one of the streets seems somewhat less cluttered with a larger building at the distance that leads me to believe there's enough room for a palace round the corner. As I head in that direction, I have to wait for a large industrial truck part that's slowly coming out of a garage to make a turn and continue in, of course, the same direction as me. I manage to squeeze between the building wall and the large truck part and reach the end of the street.

Unfortunately, this turns to end of town cars-only road with lots of concrete and weirdly shaped boulders, cars passing by in close proximity. I think that I don't want to change the dream too aggressively as not to compromise the coherence. But maybe not everything is lost, I just have to find a way to cross over and go to what seems like a more appealing part of town. The dream fades.
    5. 12/15/12 Potions in Two Worlds

      12/15/12

      Infused Potion
I am on a beach. I recognize the beach right away, it is the beach described in the hypnotic mp3 that I play as I fall asleep each night. I walk along the beach and look out at the water. At first there are a few people around, but I don't pay any attention to them. I keep walking until I see Rumplestiltskin from the Once Upon a Time series. He is holding a vial of potion and has a strange smile on his face. I wonder what he is up to. I can't shake the feeling he is up to something. When I get closer to him he throws the potion to me. I reflexively catch it. He says that's the potion I have been looking for. I ask since when does he give stuff away for free. He says not to worry about that, Q already took care of things. I wonder what Q might have done in order to get me the potion. I decide Q wouldn't have done anything that was too far out of line. Ok, so in order to make the magic of this potion merge into the potion I mixed up in my waking life I need to set it in the exact same place… I can't help but have doubts on if this could work. I have to take the potion to my room. I focus on a portal, but a portal doesn't open. A door appears from nowhere, however. I open the door and it leads to my bedroom. I go in and find the place where I put the waking life version of the potion. There is already a bottle sitting there. When I hold the bottle I got from Rumplestiltskin near the one on the book case, however, the two bottles merge. Well, if it's going to work that should do it. I lie down on my bed and wait to wake up.
    6. Potion and Energy Drinks

      ~ 5 am

      appointment
      A parade, going out

      ~ 7 am

I am mixing a potion with a finger. Depending on the effect I desire, I use a different finger: pointing, middle, or little finger.

I go down the market. It just opened. I looked for energy drinks.
    7. 12/12/12 Once Upon the Simpsons

by , 12-13-2012 at 12:10 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
      12/12/12

      Simpsons
I am in a toy store of some kind. I look around and find the store seems to specialize in Simpsons items. I also realize I have no money. But I want to get a present for my friend who is really into the Simpsons. So I find a container of small Simpsons figures and I figure I can help myself to them. They aren't very expensive, and they are small, and the container is on the lower shelf of an aisle in the back. So I dig through the toys and pocket one of each of the Simpsons figures except for Bart.

I am having trouble finding Bart. I keep digging and I finally find Bart. I have just slipped Bart into my pocket when I see the store owner is right behind me glaring at me. Shit. I should've been more careful. He says I have to pay for those. I tell him I have no money, hoping that if I return them and never come back to the store that will be good enough. He doesn't give that as an option. He says I have to work it off. We go to the back and it turns out he has been making pirated Simpsons merchandise. I have to help him make illegal Simpsons rip offs. That or he calls the cops. The fact that calling the cops would be worse for him than for me doesn't occur to me. So I start painting small Simpsons figurines in the appropriate colors. I get bored with the proper colors, and I am painting Bart blue when I wake up.

      Once Upon a Beach
I am on a beach. There are a few other people there but they aren't bothering me at all, so I start walking on the beach. It is a very relaxing scene. I soon find I am alone on the beach. The sand is surprisingly soft on my feet. It feels more like flour than sand. I keep going, watching some colorful birds in the sky. I look out over the ocean and see there is one strange person there with me. It looks like Rumplestiltskin from the Once Upon a Time series. I stop for a minute, thinking, then I remember getting a potion from him that was supposed to help with depression. Since it has been an epic failure I wonder if it might have been a scam of some kind. I tell him his potion sucks ass. He says his potion can't possibly work when I want so badly to be depressed. I tell him no one wants to be depressed. He says I do. Otherwise why would I keep bombarding myself with negative comments even if I'm not feeling that way? It's a bad habit. Besides, how would he know about my negative comments? He says if he didn't know before he knows about it now! I just give him a dirty look. He says he has a stronger potion. If I'll stop attacking myself maybe it can work. He takes out a potion that looks like a disgusting black fluid. What the fuck is that? He says it's a concentrated form of the first potion.

He holds it out and then pulls it away. He says nothing is free. I am not in the mood for games. I tell him to fuck himself. He asks if I'm not even going to hear the price before deciding against it. Some prices are very reasonable. I ask what the price is. He seems to think about it for a minute… then says a hair. My first thought is a hare. I summon a rabbit. Not a hare, he says laughing, a hair. My hair. I look around for a bit trying to think of what he could want with my hair. I turn back and see he is right in front of me. He plucks a hair from my head, apparently taking my silence as an agreement. He hands me the potion and slips the hair carefully into a small vial. The potion smells like chocolate. Well that settles that… I drink it… it tastes like liquorish… I hate liquorish… I almost puke it back up. But instead I wake.
    8. 7.7.2012 - BEST LUCID DREAM EVER! & FA & weird dream within a dream.

      by , 07-08-2012 at 05:55 AM
      Date: 07/07/2012
      Place: My bed
Time of getting into bed: 11.12pm

Ok, first off, I slept as usual, then woke up in the night without remembering any dreams. I did this last night so just presumed my intention / auto suggestion to wake for a WBTB was waking me up in my NREM cycles. Anyway, I relaxed, tried to WILD but thought I fell asleep.

      Dream 1 - non lucid / FA / lucid

False awakening, I wake up (from a dream I don't remember or never had) in my bed, in the exact same room etc. I start complaining to my bf that I didn't have a lucid dream from my WILD, and he tells me he had many!! I'm pretty pissed off, but ask him how he did it. He says he'll help me, and tells me to hold his arm as we fall asleep. I do, and enter a dream. (Dream within a dream? wtf?) in this dream I am running around a town square, watching people running from giant shark heads that are attacking, but the shark heads barely move, and they have no bodies, they actually look a little like plastic. There is water gushing from them but they are on the street in the middle of the day? I wake up, into my bed. I then tell my bf that I wasn't lucid, and he tries to help me WILD - this part of the dream is really hazy, but I remember slipping in and out of the dream, WILDing and talking to him. Not sure what was a dream and what was real life at this point. Suddenly, I'm in a really vivid dream. I'm stood in a corridor, cream and pale brown walls. I plug my nose, and can breathe!!! Fuck I'm lucid!!! So I laugh like a maniac, super happy that my ADA and RCs during the day have paid off. I first, rub my hands and jesus, this is so convincingly real. I look above me, around me, try to take in as much as I can, thinking to myself 'Remember all of this for your DJ!' So it appears I am in a school, or college of some sort. There are a few people dotted around, classrooms and pictures / notices on the walls. A young girl, with ginger hair exits a classroom and sits on a chair or bench next to the wall, I think she had a book in her hand but can't remember. I want to talk to her but then I realise I recognise her from school all those years ago. She looks pretty pissed off, and I remember I never did like her in school. She glares at me, as if warning me not to speak to her, so I ignore her. I walk along a bit, enter a classroom and a girl sits with a few guys, they seem a bit stand-offish, but harmless. The girl is chewing gum in a really unattractive way, but I ask 'Where am I?' They look at me like I'm crazy. The girl finally answers 'This is a superschool.' I ask what it is called, and she hesitates, like she is unsure. She then stammers a bit, looking at her male friends for help. 'erm... it's.. it's called... Mkat, it's a superschool for boys.' but she sounds really unsure, and there is the same amount of boys as there is girls here. I thank her and leave. I presume when she said MKat she meant the drug? Weird. I leave and walk around for a few seconds, I'm so super happy this is a lucid dream, that I keep giggling and smiling to myself! I decide to rub my hands as a precautionary measure, and then stamp my feet as I remember this being mentioned. My legs wobble and I feel the muscles as I stamp, woah this is so real! I'm so impressed! A friendlier looking girl walks by and I say 'hey! Can you help me?' she smiles and tells me she will get her teacher. Seconds later, an older woman appears. She is friendly looking too, with full grey hair but only in her 50's, she has a name tag and wears a grey jumper over a lilac blouse with trousers. Her hair is shoulder length, she may have had glasses around her neck. She smiles to me, and asks me what she can do to help. I tell her I'm looking for a magic potion drink, remembering TOTM. She doesn't seem to know what I'm talking about, but agrees to help anyway. For a while I keep repeating 'magic potion, a magic drink, it's a potion, blah blah' just to get the message across. She tells me to follow her and walks off briskly, I follow her. As we walk, I notice paintings and drawings framed on the wall. I take a closer look at some, one is a watercolour of a young girl, not too bad but pretty novice painting. The next is something I can't remember, but it's a yellow and orange mess. I note the name underneath is one of my ex bf's names, but with a few letters different. As we walk, students pass us each direction, everyone seems about mid 20's and a little older, all quite engrossed in their college duties. The nice teacher asks me where I'm from, I think for a few seconds then say 'Superland.' I don't know why I said this, but I remember not wanting to say where I was really from for some reason. I think because I could say anything and it was my dream! She nods and smiles, then asks me why I want the magic potion, nosy lady! I tell her it's really important, and someone specifically left it here for me! She asks who, and ur, I sort of panic a little, I hold my face and try to remember the name of the DV member who does the TOTM thread, but I can only think of Gab, so that's what I say. She nods and smiles again, I'm not sure she believes me but she is too nice to say anything. I rub my hands again, still amazed at the real vividness of the dream and then say to the teacher, 'I'm dreaming you know!' I laugh after saying this, it sound's so crazy! And I feel like such a rebel (haha) and she totally doesn't believe me, in a really sarcastic voice she says 'oh, that's nice!' and I say, 'really, I am!' but I can't stop laughing and she kind of looks the other way. For a moment I think of attempting the advanced TOTM, but then I remember it involves jumping on a train or something, so I decide against it. (Doh, I forgot that was last months!!) Eventually we get to a room where some kids are hanging outside, she says 'I'll just go and check if the magic potion drink is in here, please come with me,' and she enters the room. I go to follow, but suddenly a stream of students starts leaving the room, and a loud bell goes off! I get pushed around a bit and fear I'm waking up, so I get out of the way and calm myself down. The students are all rushing out, there's HUNDREDS of them! I get annoyed with my brain for doing this to me, but then think 'hang on, this is my dream, I can get in that room any way I like!!!' I think about pushing through the wall, but don't feel confident enough. Then I think about flying... yes! My next task was to fly properly. So I point my arms above my head (like I'm diving,' and just... fly! It's so easy! Complete control, a bit slow, but it's fine for me. I fly over the heads of the students (they don't notice, or care) and towards the gap in the door above their heads, it's a tight squeeze, and I get a little stuck (got to lay off the sweets ) but I get through, the student's below feel me brushing over their heads and start complaining (Ow! / Get off! / Stop that!) I find this mildly amusing. I land on a grey sofa, and stand up. It's a regular classroom (except for the sofa) and the teacher is stood with 2 young, good looking girls smiling and waiting for me. I walk over, and YES!!!! THEY HAVE THE MAGIC DRINK!!!! Thankyou very much! They present it to me like a trophy, and I grab it, eager to drink! The bottle was bright purple, with a purple lable that had no text but purple colours and shapes. The cap was strange, a bit like a ring-pull, but plastic. The closest thing I can think of is like a plastic milk carton lid, or fruit juice lid, where you pull it off and it's a plastic circle with a line of plastic attached to it. I discard this and peer inside. The drink is a darker purple, with the consistency of fruit juice. I happily take a few big gulps, and shit, this is such an amazing experience. I can actually taste the drink! It's mega sweet, perhaps too sweet for some, but nice to me. It's fruity, and tastes like berries, but with a LOT of sugar. I like it so I drink more, trying to really remember the taste, it's almost MORE taste then real life, my mouth is watering so bad! The teacher and the girls just stand and watch with big smiles. I must look like an absolute looney. I stop drinking and wait to see if I feel any different. I don't feel anything, except - THE DREAM IS FADING! Oh no! I try to rub my hands, and it slows the fading down, but doesn't stop it. I try to spin, but AGAIN I find this impossible. I don't know why but I really can't spin in my dreams. I want to do something, but it's almost like I know this is the end. I wake up, wide awake, and pretty fucking happy. Maybe the magic potion was a dream-ending potion? HAHA.

This was the best dream ever in my life ever. I was wide awake, stayed in bed and tried to sleep but my mind was racing, even shutting my eyes was difficult. After an hour I decide to stop trying and get up and have a cup of tea. I watched the birds playing in the veggies outside, and felt like I really appreciated life after that dream. It was so real, and I still remember that vivid, amazing taste of the drink. I feel like I need to say such a big thankyou to dreamviews, because without this site I would never have had that dream!

      ***NOTEWORTHY***
I went to college / University years ago
      FA, lucid, best dream ever!
Realistic and the drink was amazing
Super awake on waking, perhaps the B6???
RC worked, as did rubbing hands
      Spinning never works for me.
    9. 4th July 2012 - 11th & 12th Lucid Dream [Basic Task of the Month for July]

      Normal Text = Non-Lucid Segment
Light Purple Text = Partially Lucid Segment

      11th Lucid Dream:
I was in my living room watching a movie about lucid dreaming, it was being live recorded on the street outside my house, so when I realised I went to the window to watch instead of watching on the TV. The movie was about this couple who had discovered lucid dreaming and lost themselves in the dream world, they were stuck inside it and there were adventures they had to go through to learn how to control their lucid powers.

Near the end of the movie, they master control over their powers and the woman walks out into the street, lifts her hands and all the houses on the other side of my road start to burn, slowly at first with the bushes and flowers in their gardens catching alight and then eventually spreading into the houses themselves.

The woman walks closer to me, faces me and starts singing a song with the burning buildings behind her. I open up the window so I can hear her voice better. It's angelic and very powerful, I was blown away. When she finishes the song, the movie closes out.

I introduce myself to her and say how much I enjoyed the movie, though I critiqued some parts of the script and she agreed. I soon realise that the actor is the woman who played Piper from the TV Show "Charmed" and we began talking about how great it would be to reshoot that show with today's special effects.

Somehow, I just become lucid although it's not complete lucidity, but I know that I'm dreaming. (A common occurrence recently, just randomly becoming lucid with no actual trigger). Me & Piper start flying around looking down on the burning street below us.

The guy who also starred in the movie with Piper flew up to us and handed Piper a package. We flew down next to my house and she opens it, overjoyed about whatever was inside, I wasn't paying much attention.

I was playing around with lucid powers, wondering whether it would be possible to "stick" my feet to the wall. I propped one foot up against the wall and imagined it sticking. I assume it did despite not really doing any tests to back that up, but I lift up my other foot and stick that to the wall too. I was now leaning against the wall with my feet stuck to it, wondering how I was going to unstick them.

Suddenly I remember about the Task of the Month, although I remembered the wrong one. I was still thinking about doing the mirror task from June. I wasn't able to do it anyway because my feet were stuck to this wall, but shortly afterwards the dream faded. I tried to pull it back but I opened my eyes and I was in the waking world.

12th Lucid Dream [Basic Task of the Month]:
I was in a dream as a child in a bed, or possibly a crib. There was a woman standing over me and she conjured a rainbow in her hands and passed it to me. I managed to lift my hand up and block the rainbow, to the woman's surprise. She seemed to be shocked that I had such control over my "powers".

I realised I was dreaming and morphed back into my normal bedroom and body. I still had the rainbow in my hands and I was juggling it from hand to hand, enthralled by the multi-coloured streaks it was making as I threw it about. I realised I should probably do something of worth, so I got up out of bed and rubbed my hands together to stabilise. The rainbow disappeared as I rubbed my hands together also.

I walked up to my door and recalled the door technique that I wanted to try. For some reason a piece of artwork I made a few years ago popped into my head, a photo-manipulation titled "Mushroom Valley". [Pictured Below]

I did my best to recall this image, focusing that it would be there when I passed through the door, but then I remembered the Task of the Month. I again recalled the mirror one but this time realised that it was from June. I was struggling to recall what the tasks were for July, but eventually the basic task came to me.

I opened my door and the door trick only partially worked, I wasn't in "Mushroom Valley", just my hallway but the carpet had turned a browny golden, similar to the image, and the light shining in reflected the same mood as the image. I was quite impressed with how well the scene managed to change.

I walked into my bathroom and I guess I took inspiration from Burke's basic task story because I saw a bottle of listerine on the side. I wanted to make it a bit more interesting though, so I turned around to face the wall and pictured a glass potion bottle full of a glowing liquid.

When I turned back around, sure enough there was a glass bottle there. It was more like a glass jug, with a pouring spout but the handle which was also made of glass was all intertwined and intricate. Inside was a green, bubbling liquid. I picked up the potion and decided not to smell it incase it put me off.

When I took a sip I was instantly shocked, it was strong and carbonated like a soda but infinitely more powerful. My tongue started to tingle and went numb and my ears were ringing. I was flinching in pain, but eventually it faded.

I decided to try again but this time I seemed to enjoy the taste. It was interesting drinking in a dream, something I hadn't experienced before. I noticed to begin with it was hard to try and get the feeling of swallowing the liquid, but when I managed to control it the taste went from something somewhat mild like a lime-flavoured water to a powerful citrus, lime carbonated drink. Almost a lime soda but it tasted better than that.

I had drunk half the potion by this time. I put the bottle down and was worried about what would happen. I tried to walk away but I stumbled and my vision was becoming blurred, it's like the potion had made me drunk. My heart started beating really fast and I was about to fall over when the dream faded and I was back in the waking world, my heart still beating fast.
    10. Driving Down Desolate Roads and Drinking Magical Potions

      by , 07-03-2012 at 09:07 PM (Burke's Nightly Escapades)
I was in the back seat of our car with my mom and dad who was driving. It was about dusk and we were driving alone a desolate road with nothing around it and it was completely flat. Up ahead I saw a hill and a dead tree on top of the hill off to the left. Right at the crest of the hill there was a car parked in the right hand lane of the road (the one we were driving in) and was facing towards us. It's lights were on but I couldn't see anyone inside it. We just passed it .

We continued driving along this road for another couple minutes in complete silence, nobody was talking. We eventually ended up stuck behind a tractor trailer going very slowly, about 20 mph. We moved into the other lane to pass him and started speeding up. When we were about halfway past the truck it moved over the left lane where we were and continued driving directly on top of us. The truck was high enough, however, that it never hit our car, despite it being a fairly large SUV. We continued driving beneath the truck as if nothing was strange or out of the ordinary and we eventually came up to a town. When we were about a half mile away from the town the truck disappeared

We entered the town and it was all on a hill going down into a river. The street we were on was winding a lot, like Lombard Street in San Francisco. We slowly wound down the hill and when we were only a short ways from the bottom of the hill and the shore of the river I had somehow appeared in my bathroom . I was just stepping out of the shower but I had all my clothes on. I walked over to the mirror and looked in it. I noticed the right eye in the mirror (my left eye in reality) started to drift off to the right, towards my nose. It was like I had a lazy eye that was growing progressively worse and worse by the second. It started turning very bloodshot and it really freaked me out.

I looked to my left so that the eye would go back to normal but it didn't work. I then used my finger and just pushed it back. This worked well but then a third eye appeared right over the bridge of my nose, but below my forehead. I noticed this was really strange and started questioning reality. I looked at my hands and noticed that each one had an extra finger.
I immediately became lucid and was pretty happy at my recent success. I quickly rubbed my hands to stabilize the dream and while doing so looked down at the sink/counter. I saw a bottle of Listerine and the TotM to drink a potion immediately popped into my head.

I turned around and expected the bottle to turn into a magical potion. When I looked back the bottle looked the same but the liquid inside turned form a reddish-purple to bright green. I picked it up and smelled it and it still smelled like Listerine and when I took a sip it tasted like it too. I took a fairly large gulp and waited for something to happen, not sure what would. Only a second after I drank the potion the dream started to fade. I immediately tried spinning but it didn't seem to work. After only a few seconds I
      woke up

Every time I do something which I don't know what the effects will be I end up waking up
    11. Saving the Princess

      by , 12-02-2011 at 08:14 AM
      11/30/2011
I was hanging out with John and A. We left our backpacks on the ground by the car, and we left the girl/princess in the car. We climb up this stair thing. At the top we're joking and talking. Then we realize someone might steal our stuff. We rush back down. Our backpacks are still there, with most of our stuff still in them (mine had stuff in different places than I left it), but the princess is gone. We are worried that she will be raped.

I try to make a potion to find the princess. I mix nerds (the candy), chocolate, and maybe something else in water. I got the chocolate from A, because I only have a whopper, which hasn't got a lot of chocolate in it. A gave me two mint-covered chocolate balls. I put one of each in the mix and stir, waiting for it to dissolve. It's taking its time. I split one of the chocolate candies in half so it'll melt faster. I don't think it's working quite right. I show it to the potions master and ask him about it. He says the chocolate I used wasn't pure enough. He helps me get something working.

I'm at the place the princess was taken. I pretend to be her... owner? to get into where she is. I know the real 'owner' will come along soon, though. I tell the princess to make me a sandwich. I put mustard on it myself. When the real guy comes along, I'm prepared. He's dressed in red, and his hair and beard are dark. We exchange a few words, then I throw the sandwich at him. It explodes, due the explosive runes I wrote on it with the mustard. I know I'm dreaming, so I can use interesting powers. I turn into a dragon (sort of) and bite his head off.

I'm back to my normal self. For some reason, I'm sticking to the wall in a corner, sort of spider-man style and closer to the ceiling than the floor. I think I tried to turn myself into the wall, to hide, when I was scared of that guy, but I ended up sticking to the wall instead.

Some guys (three of them) walk through a door, into this room. I think they are dungeons & dragons nerds. There are polyhedral dice on the floor. I use telekinesis to make the dice come to my hand, one at a time, throwing them at the skinny blond guy as I get them. One time, instead of using telekinesis, I moved my hand into a position so that it looked like I was holding the far away die because of an optical illusion, and then willed the die to be close rather than far.

I tell the blond guy that I am dreaming. I tell him that he is dreaming, too, but that's about when I wake up, so I don't get to see how he reacts.
    12. Hogwarts Hufflepuff Challenge! 8-29-11

by , 09-28-2011 at 01:09 AM (Mancon's Wild and Crazy Adventures in the Dream World)
Hi everyone! I haven't been posting in my DJ for a LOOOOONG time, and feel really bad. I got out of it, and need to get back in. I will be starting again today (Permanently this time!)

I woke up around 4 AM and attempted a WILD. I got into SP and saw HI of floating door handles around me. I used VILD to get me right into a dream outside of Hogwarts.

It was early morning outside at Hogwarts, around 6 AM. I could feel the crisp, cold air on my skin. It felt nice. I looked around, and noticed this dream was extremely vivid. I noticed tiny things like bugs flying around, the texture of every little thing, and all the vivid colors.

I started to walk towards the entrance to Hogwarts. I pushed the large, wooden door open and stepped inside. A few people were walking down the halls. They all looked like they were in a hurry for something.

I looked down at myself, and noticed I was wearing a bright orange robe. My skin was very tan, and I felt very short. I quickly changed into a Hufflepuff robe with a flick of my wand.

My wand was a dark green color, and was mossy. It had many details, and tiny bumps on it. I walked down a white marble hallway, and decided to complete the "Learn and perform Alohomora on a locked door" task.

I summoned a short person, who looked like a wise elf. I always imagine the best teachers to look like elves. I told him I would like to know how to perform Alohomora.

His eyes were twinkling (literally), and he told me to draw the shape of a key in the air with my wand, and then point it at any locked door and say "Alohomora!". He grabbed my arm, and we flashed into a dark blue room filled with wooden doors. He told me to choose a door, and then he disappeared.

I looked around, and one particular door caught my eye. It had an engraving of an owl on it. The owl was moving, just like most pictures in Hogwarts. I went over to it and drew a key into the air. I could see the outline of it. I pointed my wand at the door, and the outline of the key started moving towards it. The owl caught the outline and the door slowly creaked open.

There was nothing on the other side! I slowly walked into it, and started to feel a pins and needles sensation all around my body. The next thing I knew, I was standing in a tall room filled with owls. There were all kinds of owls. Barn owls, great horned owls, snowy owls, etc.

A barn owl gracefully landed on my shoulder, and whispered to me "Look up, you will find all the ingredients to create an aging potion, on that platform with a cauldron." I thanked the owl, and looked up. There was a floating platform in the middle of the air about 80 feet up.

I super jumped onto the platform and could feel a cold wind blowing in my face. On the platform I saw an eyeball, a book, and a green marker. I picked up the book, but it was blank. I slowly dropped it into the black cauldron. White smoke came out of it, and I heard a banging noise. I picked up all the other items and put it in the cauldron.

When I was done putting the last ingredient in, a cup appeared in front of it, filled with green liquid. I picked it up, and slowly brought it to my lips. It tasted like a sour green apple! I loved it! I drank as much as I could, but I forgot it was an aging potion!

My legs started to feel weak, and I could see a white beard growing out of my chin. I started to look exactly like Dumbledore! A cane appeared by my feet, but when I bent down to get it, I fell! Oh my god I hate being old I said to myself.

I used my wand to make me look and feel young again. The transformation to become young was slow, but felt good. Owls were still flying all around me.

I couldn't remember if there was any more Hufflepuff tasks but I did remember one Universal task! I held out my wand and said "Accio...broomstick!" I felt cold wind all around me and a broomstick flew into my hand.

I cautiously got onto it. It was little bigger than I expected (width wise). Right when I sat down it zoomed forward, and I had a hard time controlling it and hanging on! All the owls looked up and surrounded me. They grew hands and guided me to safety.

Once I got to the ground I decided to try it again. I got on it, and nothing happened. I pointed it up, and it shot up! When I pointed it right, it went right and when I pointed it left it zoomed left! I looked for any windows or doors to fly out of, but couldn't find any. Just this long room filled with owls. It didn't occur to me I could just teleport out since it was a dream.

I flew around the room for a couple minutes, when I fell of the broomstick! It was so unexpected, I just fell and hit the ground fast!
I woke up, and could see that someone turned on my fan in the middle of the night.
    13. Marathon Dream

      by , 06-15-2008 at 02:55 AM
(original dream occurred June 14, 2008):
I had a dream that my apartment got hit by a hurricane. It rained so hard that you couldn't hear anything, except in the dream, it rained so hard that everything was completely silent. For some reason, peoples' voices were as clear as bells. I couldn't see more than 2 feet in front of myself. My mother and her boyfriend had gone outside to look at the rain, as it was raining pretty hard - the sudden increase in the intensity of the downpour sent us scrambling inside. In the dream, the area must have flooded, because I remember there being a large lake where there hadn't been one, and people perched atop the hills on the golf courses.

(original post titled June 16, 2008):
I had a very, very long dream.

First, I slept for around... probably 14 hours. It wasn't laziness, I simply didn't wake up.

I dreamt that I was a student at some sort of academy, like a wizard academy, but not like Harry Potter in the slightest. This was in a fantasy-type city - first off, think elven architecture. Very elaborate architecture, mostly stone and some sort of golden stuff. Most of it was devoted to the campus of this academy, and the pursuit of wizardry in general.

There were a bunch of other children there - I recall I was a child, just an older child. My brother was also at this academy, if my vague recollection is right. There was a stone ogre/troll in one of the more open areas, except that it was also roofed and fenced... in any case, all of the children who were up to mischief got together, including me, and poured some sort of oil in its ear, which brought it to life. It came to life and wreaked all sorts of havok until it was finally gotten under control. One of the head wizards (of the city) called me in, and told me I'd been the cause of a similar incident involving the same monster before. I remembered it, vaguely, and he showed me a document I'd signed.

The eldest mage commented something along the lines of, although I had learned no magic I had a strong blood-line, and I ought to marry a dragon. I knew the dragon in question, a coppery, gold-colored dragon. Unfortunately, I don't think that giant lizards are very sexy. That was pretty damn weird, although I have to admit that wizards are usually pretty damn weird.

In any case, as the dream progressed, I became the mastermind of some sort of coup of the city. There were rulers, a king and a queen, but their essence was contained in 5 spheres in the heart of the city, that were closely guarded. In the center of the city was a massive lake that was incredibly deep. Anyway, 3 of the spheres were King, Queen, and some sort of snow-man. I don't know what the remaining 2 were. The city's defenses were impenetrable as long as the spheres of the King and Queen remained in place, but I got ahold of all 5 spheres, and I threw them in the lake. The Snow-Man was some sort of guardian of the city, I don't know, but at one point I retrieved him out of the lake. I think the fourth sphere was that of the Master of Ceremonies - in order to actually take control of the city, I had to be sworn in as king. I needed the Snow-Man at my disposal in order to convince him to swear me in.

After this, the dream got more jumbled. I also woke up briefly, although I don't remember much, and I know that I felt really sleepy so I went back to bed.

After this, I had a dream about Cinderella, but not in the sense that we think of her, as this had absolutely nothing to do with the original story. Rather, it was about cinders. Something about a young man, and the girl in question was under some sort of death-spell, and he got a chance to save her by drinking cinders in some sort of potion. But rather than saving her, he wandered off into some sort of dream-land, and failed in his mission. Ever since that point he had been a very morose spirit.

In the dream, there were 5 men who governed various Aspects of something - I don't remember what the thing was. In the dream, it presented itself as a web-page, but I know that it wasn't a web-page, that was just the manner in which I browsed it. It was like a collection of information, and you accessed it through these personalities, and he was one of them. He had a long face and ash-grey hair. Each man had an Aspect, one had the Aspect of Strength, but his was the Aspect of Death (or something like that) due to his history. I was considering switching from the guy governing the Aspect of Strength to this man and his Aspect, because of some information that I needed to browse, but I was reluctant.

I woke up after this. I felt better/not as sleepy, although the dreams were very weird, but I had slept for a disturbingly long time. Usually that happens when I dream actively, and I felt like I'd been dreaming almost the whole time that I was asleep. I think these dreams were influenced by the fact that I've been playing too much D&D. Maybe I should ease off on RPGs for a while.
