    1. Parkour on the Train Tracks

by , 11-25-2015 at 10:26 AM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
I was in a house/apartment. I was looking for something. I was supposed to just stay there temporarily. I think it was after the death of the owner, an old man. I'm not sure how I'm related to him. It was night, and I was looking for the bathroom. For some reason, I can't find it. Then there were ghostly apparitions and then a vampire-like monster. I was able to turn it "off," as if a game, although I wasn't scared. More like annoyed and frustrated for not getting to a bathroom.

I was able to visit a friend (who?) and I used their bathroom. The water was warm. Then I'm not sure whether I was peeing in the right area. It might be their sink, but it was made of solid cement.

I was looking at a small representation of some hills and a lake. It acted like a game map. I saw lines and arrows of where I'm supposed to go but it keeps changing and mixing because I'm "clicking" all over the place.

I went outside our building. I climbed up to the train station, but not through the stairs. I climbed up, easily, through the walls and to the elevated tracks. A train just passed by but it was going the opposite direction (south) of where I was going (north). I was thinking whether I should walk to the station (a bit north). I decided to run on the tracks instead. I parkoured my way over obstacles. It felt liberating, especially when I saw how high I was able to jump up and landed precisely on a small ledge. There was a nice background music playing while I was doing this, which made it even more awesome. Not quite opera voice, and there were background instruments.

I arrived near my destination (SM Megamall though it doesn't like anything like it). I got a little lost first but quickly found my way. I was in an area where there are some construction going on. I arrived at the area where they have sci-fi human-art installation. Basically, there were monks/priests and nuns and KOAs, and they were "attached" to sci-fi art (spaceships?) that are, in turn, attached to the ceiling/trees. One monk was even moving a bit, and the person holding him doesn't seem to be making an effort.

      NOTES:

      - I was tired and sleepy. I was also hungry, but my sleepiness and tiredness overpowered me before I slept.
      - I slept around 3pm. I had instant coffee around 10am though.
      - Last night, I slept a good 7 hours.
      - I took Bioflu (paracetamol + phenelephrine) around noon coz I felt like I was going to get sick. Might have caused the sleepiness.
    2. #154 - Chasing someone

      by , 11-09-2015 at 11:38 PM (The Oneironaut's Odyssey)
      Intensive DEILD attempt 4:

Better than the night before since I actually slept this time. I woke up once to an alarm a little confused, but it didn't go off properly. When I woke up I moved a little due to being confused but I fell asleep again. The 7 other alarms didn't go off properly either so I'll have to try find out why that happened :/

      Dream - Chasing someone
I remember being in a complex building running down some stairs with 2 other people, a girl and a guy. We had spotted an Asian woman with long dark hair and a plain white dress with no shoes on staring up at us from the bottom of the stairs who was apparently the person we had been trying to find. She bolted away so we sprinted after her. Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs we looked around and saw an entrance which we thought we saw her run into. I'm the last to enter the room, it's a shallowly downhill sloping corridor that has a dead end after 10m. The ground has a 1inch high layer of flowing water. The others are looking around the room confused and begin exploring it trying to discover how the Asian woman escaped. I'm still at the entrance, I look to my left and see a bunch of green goo start flooding out with the water current. It's sticky and acidic. The ceiling starts to slowly come down. We've activated some sort of booby-trap. The others are scrambling to get up and out of the room, but the combination of flowing water, the slope and the sticky green goo that starts burning their skin makes it exceedingly difficult. I'm lucky I'm at the entrance... I don't know if they manage to escape. I do remember that the green goo was on me too and I was scrambling around on the ground pulling myself out of the room, but I didn't feel any real connection to the scene. Next I decided to run in another direction, there were these wide ascending stairs which I ran up two steps at a time. I began to see other people, I had to hide my identity so I put my hood up. They weren't human, their eyes reflected the light and they had pointed ears - vampires. I kept my head low and walked through crowds of them, it was like a market place that was underground in some steam punk world. I thought one of them noticed I was a human and began tailing me but I pretended not to notice. I was trying to find that Asian girl.

      Dream - Violent Iguanas
I'm by a farm fence that runs next to the road. It's me, Sam, and a couple others who have come here to steal something from a building that's just beyond the fence down a small slope. Me and Sam hop the fence onto the grass field on the other side. The other 2 guys with us hand us some equipment. Hmm, this won't do... There's too much stuff and the bags are already filled with the stuff we're trying to steal? (we were trying to steal ice, and possibly biscuits). Sam goes ahead with his share of the gear while I contemplate how to lighten the load. I unpack the plastic bags and decide to leave a couple boxes, there's way more than we need. Suddenly I look up and see my friend Sam running back up the hill. Uh oh, he's been discovered and is making a break for it. I turn and bolt alongside him, the other 2 guys don't need to run apparently because they haven't done anything. Me and Sam head onto the main road and keep running, there's an old lady sprinting after us (I saw her at the gym yesterday, I was amazed at how such an old person could work out like that O_O). I'm much faster than my friend and he's already running out of stamina... The old lady is really fit and is slowly catching up with single-minded intensity. How the hell? She's going to catch my friend, I could leave him with my speed but I don't want to, if he goes down then I won't let him go through it alone. I stop running and the lady catches up, there's no point wasting more energy. She talks to us and tells us to follow, leading us back to the building we had been about to rob. We're at the top of a stone staircase by the grass field that leads into an animal sanctuary (which is apparently what the building is for). "Do you like iguana?" she asks.
"Uhh yeah I guess so?" I respond, not really sure what she wants.
We're walking down the steps now, "We have a new male iguana arriving today" she says. I think to myself that it doesn't feel like she wants to punish us, hasn't she called the police? I get the feeling she's offering us a chance to do something with our lives maybe. We turn left at the bottom of the steps, it's almost like the area has become enclosed like we're in a building but there's these dense trees and shrubs as the walls? On the left is an exhibit for iguanas. Wow, they're huge! Maybe 1-2m long? I focus on two that are walking along the same branch, I get the feeling there is about 2 more somewhere in the background. It's almost like these iguana aren't even iguana, they have a kind of monkey-like head with a bony looking cranium with ridges. One of the iguana shoots its tongue at the behind of the other iguana, latching onto it. Is this some kind of mating ritual? I'm watching what's going on intently now. The iguana that has been latched onto seems to want to get away? It turns around and is face to face with the other iguana that has caught up... SMASH!
What in the hell?!?! The iguana that shot its tongue out just head butt the other iguana. SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! Over and over it repeatedly rams its head into the skull of the other iguana, of which collapses and caves in on the last hit. It goes limp and falls off the branch. Whoa. I'm in a bit of shock after watching that. Its head is lying against the glass of the enclosure we were watching through. The old lady walks up and calmly inspects its head. She starts playing around with it, tinkering almost. Is she going to save it? But it's already dead? She opens up its skull and there's blood and brain, so gross. I think I ask her if she can fix it, and she responds saying that she might be able to.

1 more night and then I'll have my exam, just focusing mostly on getting a good sleep atm so my recall isn't that great.

      Lucid

Slept from 10:30pm - 8:15am, I think I was pretty tired from getting used to ADA and meditation + studying for exams.

Last night I found it hard recalling dreams, I had to really sit there and think for a while. My dreams were also very vivid, so much detail which I think may be a result of practicing ADA.

      Dream 1 - Hime
A called this dream Hime, because in my dream it meant 'home' in another language. I felt like I was in a foreign country like Switzerland or the Netherlands maybe. I remember being outside a house and looking at a letterbox with 'Hime' on it, there was a warm and welcoming middle-aged lady who smiled cheerfully at me. This was her home. I think there was also something sex related, as I remember it talking about safe-sex and giving out a few packets of condoms. The scenery was blanketed in white snow too, this dream was surprisingly clear and vivid but I couldn't recall much.

Dream fragment - I may have been an assassin, it was quite a brief dream snippet but I just get the feeling it was related to assassins.

      Dream 2 - Skateboarding
I remember skateboarding in this dream and it was AMAZING. I don't skate in RL but this was awesome. It's like some kind of skating track in the hills, with jagged schistose rocks (like greyschist) around. Along the course were these tunnels too. I was at the beginning of the course with a couple friends, Sam and Aaron. There's some fragment about a plane at this point but I can't recall what. I go onto the course first, I'm skating down this narrow dirt track that shouldn't be able to accommodate a skateboard. There's all these jutting rocks that you have to dodge on your way down. The first tunnel comes up and I duck, gliding into the darkness then shooting out the other side. 'This is incredible!' I think to myself, I really want to video it and show it to my girlfriend. I slow down slightly so I can fumble around in my pockets to get my phone out. Zoom! Through another tunnel and out the other side. It's too hard to start videoing whilst skating so I stop now and move off to the side so I can set it up. My friends catch up, and decide to stop and wait up for me too. We sit off on the site in the grass on top of a jutting rock outcrop. My friend Aaron says he's going to make tea from some plants for later (like we're supposed to be gathering our own supplies or something). I look at the plants he's looking at and touch one, it looks like a stinging nestle. God damn it. Remembering my past experience with them I wonder if I should warn him, though after touching it I don't think it is a stinging nestle. The other is a small Kowhai. Both of these are only 30cm tall max. He says he doesn't know what the leaves are but they should work . Looking down the route a bit more I see some other people, I recall seeing them at the start. One had a distinctive fake-looking black afro and pimply white skin and acts like a very bro kind of dude. They're probably about 50 metres away, I think the scene slightly changed as the area is bigger than before with a grass field nearby with a couple trees on it. In the distance there's a vast looking landscape with mountains. Further up the skating route I spot Sam's younger brother, Laurence. He's here with his mates it seems. I think me and my mates walked down on the grass and one of the guys passes by heading towards Laurence's crowd, he makes a remark towards me "Oh look the planes coming down!" sarcastically pointing at a plane in the sky. He continues walking and as I look up I notice that suddenly the plane is actually in trouble. It looks like one of the wings has broken off (it's a small plane). I sprint forward keeping an eye on the plane, it'll maybe crash about a 5-20 minute run away (it seemed far away and at times it seemed close)? I don't know if I'll be the first on the scene but I have to try something. I decide to head to the building on the grass near me, it's blocked the view of the plane from the others so I'm the only one who knows it's crashing. I rushing in and opena door into hallway. At the end I spot a woman drinking a cup of coffee unaware of the crashing plane. I turn left and out of another door onto the backyard. Looking up I spot the part of the plane that had fallen off, it's about 50m in the air and being blown about by the wind. I keep running, it's heading in my direction and crashes near me. I think about how the lady inside must be shocked. I look up at the plane, it falls out of sight beyond an edge on the hill I'm on. I sprint faster and come to the edge - fwoop! Off the edge I go, it was apparently a cliff? I manage to reach an arm out and grab hold of the ledge, hanging by one arm over a huge fall... It must be about a 500m fall into a forest. The ledge I'm hanging from is slightly undercut, I imagine that it will start crumbing under my weight soon unless I hurry up. I reach my right arm up and grab the ledge, trying distribute my weight a bit. I shuffle my left arm forward and get my elbow on, good, this should be okay now...
Uh oh, I spot a crack in the wall as I lift my head above the edge, I have to hurry, it starts crumbling and giving way like loose sand. I'm a goner now, I know I'll die so I just decide to wake up instead.

      Dream 3 - Plane ride
I'm in a plane with my friend Daniel and then later on I'm at his house. I go into the kitchen and his dad is there. We're all talking and I mention something about it being nice to have been able to catch a plane with a friend for a change instead of going alone. He says that we never caught a plane together... What?! I'm sure we did, but as I think about it I realize that I must have just dreamed about it . I don't become aware that I'm still dreaming though . I think I had been messaging my girlfriend on skype and then she called me. We had been talking about finally being able to meet up this holidays. She crying on the phone, we probably can't meet up this holiday anymore as she wants to spend time with her granddad who is dying from cancer. She says something like "Nothing is too good to wait for 3 months" - which translated to meaning if we love each other we can handle waiting another 3 months. Damn it. There's also a bunch of background noise going on, I notice vividly the sounds going on... Her voice, her crying, the sound of Lord of the Rings playing on the TV at her house, the sound of cars zooming past as if she was also outside. Even the subtle conversation of my friend and his dad behind me.

      Dream 4 - Class
Another vivid dream from last night, which I forgot most of ... I remember being in my home village but I think it's related to having some kind of skill/power and it leads me to getting placed in a special educational class for the gifted. In this class I sit at the back left of the room next to the wall. The teacher at the front is teaching us random stuff, it feels like some kind of manga story-line progression where I can tell what the future plot line is supposed to be. The author doesn't know a great deal of science so the learning is restricted to basic stuff at first but later on advances to some serious chemistry. The classmates I have aren't all human I think, I remember one girl had the skin around her lips kind of pulled back so her teeth were exposed. It wasn't creepy looking though, just 'normal' in this dream world I guess. I remember some kind of alien joins the class, not seriously at first but something happens and he wants to join the team. He sits at his desk to the right of me and I notice him writing out a list of alien names in four columns about 5 names long in each column. He's a poison master which is apparently quite rare and powerful. Everyone has to turn their desks now, I'm now in the front row (we turned to the left). The teacher is now in the front of the class a bit to my right. I'm by the other wall now where I'm sitting, I see the piece of paper the alien had written the names on. He's one of us now, I pick it up and unfold it, and hand it over to him in a friendly manner. I sit down again, the teacher comes near me and starts writing on the wall right next to me, I look up at the board (which is on the wall next to me that he seems to be writing on) and see a plethora of complex math equations. It's insane. I look at all these numbers and stuff and it's so vivid, I think to myself that I hope he doesn't ask me to answer any of this -.- I haven't studied this before. He goes back to the front of the class and there's apparently a mix up with this board that he's supposed to be using at the front of the class. It's like a diagram thing that is supposed to be in another room. Some people come in and he's a bit confused, they take their board back and the teacher starts looking around for the correct diagram board. The girl with the retracted skin around her lips comes up and finds it, putting it up on the board for the teacher. I think she smiles at me but it's hard to tell O_O.

Dream Fragment - I remember having a dream where I was playing guitar and I seemed to have broken a guitar string. The 6th string E (the top one). I noticed when I was playing that the sound stopped in a string and upon closer inspection it came off.

Dream 1 - Running and Cats
This dream seems so fragmented in places and I feel like it may have been 2-3 dreams but I just can't figure out the boundary between them. The first one is where I'm running around a lot. It's my main mode of transportation (walking and running in RL) and I use it to run up road to the top of a grassy hill. There's a barn-like building somewhere around. I remember looking across to the valley ahead and knowing that I would run up there as it's apparently a shortcut. It's a steep ascent but I should be fine. It seems to skip further ahead into the dream (or I just forgot everything) and I've arrived at the top of the hill again. This time an old residential hall friend called Luka was there. He seemed like he had matured a lot. I haven't got a clue what we talked about, but he's going the way I just came and I was going to take the shortcut. I notice that the place is a lot busier than it used to be, it's summer or something and a bunch of campers have come here. As I turn around and head to the shortcut the bottom of the hill becomes visible (it goes downslope and then back up across the valley side). The usual empty barn place is full with people around putting up tents. God damn it. I can't go that way anymore since I'm not technically allowed to travel this way and I don't want to get caught. I decide I'll run and catch up with Luka again, he can't have gone far. I sprint my way after him, but wow there are a lot of tents. Suddenly I find myself just leaping around dodging over the lines holding tents up. There's an outrageous amount of them... I make it to the dirt road I usually use to get up the hill. I'm still sprinting + jumping acrobatically around, there's a bunch of lines that increase in density along this road. I end up just doing these insane spinning flips all over the place O_O. Seems like I'm a professional acrobat in my dreams .

I don't know what happened next, but I'm somehow in a school-like gym which has running lanes for 50m. I think I run against an old classmate from high school who was ridiculously fit and pretty damn fast. I seem to outrun him now though, my speed is extraordinary.

I have no in what order this part occurred in within this dream, but I'm in a vehicle/room which has a row of seats on each 2 sides facing each other. They're packed with people chatting casually amongst themselves. The walls are white-metallic I think, I must be near the front I think (which is to my left, meaning I must be sitting on the left side of the vehicle). 3-4 metres to my right would be where the back exit for the vehicle is I think. I think I talk to someone on my left who is standing slightly. After our conversation he goes back to where he was supposed to be seat but my mom (who is sitting on the opposite side about 2 metres to my right) talks to him. I perk up my ears and try to consciously listen into the conversation. She says something like "Oh he's just hard to deal with because he is used to the personalities from game characters and stuff". O_O geeze mom, thanks. I talk loudly enough so they can hear me and say "Hey you know I can hear you right?", and I think she replies saying something "Oh now don't be like that". God damn it.

I'm in my house now in the family room, there's some kind of theme going on with cats. We seem to own maybe 2-3 cats in this house (in RL only 1, because 2 passed away nearly a year ago). Strangely there are a bunch of stray cats in our house though. There are also a few dream characters but I just can't picture who they were. There was a pair of girls and I think one was meant to be a cousin (I don't know any cousins), there was maybe a younger kid playing on the floor. I think maybe my mom was around too. These characters just seemed so hazy even in the dream, like they were barely existing and didn't have any background to them. One stray cat is a scrawny shaking ginger cat that has some similarities to the one we own in RL. The other stray was this crazy looking tomcat that was under the couch, it jumps at my hand and I literally spent a minute in dream time trying to pry its teeth and claws out of my hand. In the end it rips a chunk of flesh of and has these rip marks in its mouth. I think to myself that it must be rabid. At this point I realize I have to put these cats down and hack them apart (this scene was omitted in my dream, they kind of just ended up like that... Phew). There seemed to be a couple strays before that had left and it had made the pair of girls go searching for them, one was crying. I put the dead cats into a paper bag and know that I can't let the girls see them because it would just upset them. I decide to go round to the back of the house in order to bury them. I make my way to another room in order to sneak out but run into a new character, another girl. She pulls out a stray cat from underneath a couch. It has the ugliest snubby face ever and its fur is completely white and really fluffy. She's holding it by the scruff of its neck and it's pissed off and hissing at her, though not really able to resist. She says that they're keeping it, and in reaction to it hissing she said "it's just scared of the rain".. Huh? It's not even raining. It's hissing because it doesn't like you holding it -.-. I feel a little bit of regret for killing the cats even though one was rabid, but I question myself about why I killed the other one. Why DID I kill it? I couldn't think of an answer at all, it was just a scrawny malnourished cat

    6. #223. The Fugitive

by , 09-19-2015 at 06:50 PM (Things to Run Away From Really Fast)
My husband and I are visiting the UK. It's incredibly difficult to find a parking spot.

We're wandering through a series of buildings that are all interconnected, and I'm opening new doors, creating new spaces that sometimes lead back to the previous ones. We run into my grandmother.

There's a contest that we somehow become involved in, and there are little children hurling chunks of ice. I talk to their parents disapprovingly, and somehow win the contest, described as the "yelling" person.

We're fugitives now, trying to escape the UK. My attempt to get us free passage out of the country fails when I can't get the three images on my ticket to line up (like a slot machine), despite exerting dream control. There are dogs coming after me, and I send bolts of ice magic at them, freezing them in place, because they can run faster than I can.

I find myself in an empty field, looking up into the night sky. I start walking, and realize that there's a lunar eclipse in the sky. I'm flying towards it now.

I'm looking at a brick building, and decide to run up the side, Prototype-style. I'm having trouble with it, though. Instead, I run as far up it as I can and grab on, allowing the mechanism on the side of the building to buoy me up.

I look at the moon, which is a cube in the sky, and try to fly again. I can't.

A cabin in the country, where a man is offering lessons on writing a novel.

My husband and I are running through a parking lot, but the cars and semis keep trying to collapse on top of us. We're trying to get back to our parking spot.

Dream - running (semi aware of dream state)
I was at my high school on the grass fields hanging out with friends I had during the first couple years. A guy called Steven was there and he was being pretty funny and the atmosphere of the dream was quite nice. Then for some reason we started running, some sort of race. Johnny, a guy who I was originally friends with (his personality turned extremely shallow and he just seemed to bully others towards the end) was running too. He absolutely shot ahead and I was a bit annoyed when I realized how slow I had become (after the dream I thought back to this and considered doing sprint training when I go running IRL).

The characters in the dream seemed to disappear and the scene changed, either that or I just didn't realize I actually DID wake up and then fall back to sleep, starting a new dream. I was with a beautiful pure bred dog that had amazing white fur, it ran alongside me as we headed towards a river. The river itself was quite shallow and probably 5 metres wide. As I ran across the river things slowed down... I had just been thinking about how I was running so slow earlier, then I thought of whether or not I could make the world go slow motion... Upon thinking this, the world DID slow down and everything became suspended in animation. Droplets of water splashing up as I traversed through the river moved so slowly... I looked at my left arm, it had slowed down to a snails pace. I became slightly aware of everything in this state of stillness, it was strange.

Things kicked back into motion quickly as the dream decided to progress, on the other side of the river was my friend Matt, he had a little mutt for a dog that was as big as a chiwawa. He said that he didn't want me on this side of the river because my dog was pure and it'd be bad for it if it had impure offspring, but he said it in such a way that sounded like he was being so sincere and looking out for me out of the kindness of his heart. 8. Running from a Bear and Finding A Mansion (LD #24)

      by , 07-07-2015 at 07:20 PM (Sharpshoey's Lucid Journey)
      July 6, 2015

I am sitting in a tree stand/blind hunting a bear. There is a huge rock cliff on my right and in front is a large grassy area sitting on the base of the cliff. There is a stream running down the far side of it. There is a bear in the middle of the grassy area walking by the stream. I aim down my scope and put the crosshairs on the bear. For some reason I get down from the stand and start walking toward the bear to get a better shot. The bear turns towards me and starts coming after me. Immediately I turn and run not wanting it to get too close to me. I run along the cliff’s edge and am jumping from rock to rock. They go in a downward direction and when I’m on the last rock I see a lake with a small piece of land in the middle of it. On the other side of the lake there is a small house. I jump into the water and when I come back out, the house is different. I get onto the piece of land and jump back in the water. When I come back out again it is a mansion. I randomly become lucid. The mansion is white and it has columns in the front along with four or more windows running along the top floor. There is also a balcony up top right below the windows. I walk inside and it is a pretty small room, not the type of room you’d expect in a mansion. There is a square wall in the middle of the room, like a fireplace. I walk to the left and went to the front of the square piece of wall. Right in the middle in front of me there is a door leading into the kitchen maybe, but I’m not totally sure. There was a sign in handwritten big letters that said “THE WELL OF DOUBTS”. I turned around and on the fireplace looking wall there was a hole that led downwards and in the hole there was train tracks. I then had the thought (it was more of just suddenly knowing) that this house represented me. I turned to the left and there was a small staircase attached to the wall. I walked over and looked up, but I couldn’t see anything. I then remembered my dream goal of flying so I decided I wouldn’t go exploring the different rooms. I thought about how I would get to the top of the house so I could jump off and fly, and I was about to go up the stairs to get up there but then I go into an FA.

I’m trying to DEILD but I can’t so then I just wake up in the dream. I am then practicing my technique later in the day and I’m thinking that practicing the Gravity RC is not good for me for some reason. I want to switch to just doing normal RC’s and stuff but I can’t bring myself to do it because I don’t want to lose my results of practicing the Gravity RC so far. Then I’m going on a trip to Mexico with my uncle and another girl who is 4 years older than me and I rarely talk to.

    9. Escaping The Theme Park (26.6.15)

      by , 06-25-2015 at 11:21 PM (CHiLLEN's Dream Journal)
      Escaping The Theme Park
I was at a theme park which has a water slide. I was going down it with friends and we would escape the guards often, Running through a lobby. It was like a cinema style lobby, with the same doors and all. It kept getting a lil harder each time, sometimes. I saw motivation guy. He was in character and was playing a hick looking bloke. He lost a tooth and would tap on his teeth and more would appear. He said if u tap too much you'll lose more, like he did. I think I noticed this at the back of cranny shops. Not long after I see a scene of Sam Newman getting flashed down a toilet. He was slowly getting plunged down. They were portable toilets, which turned into a water slide, which lead to the theme park.

I was now Sam I think, as I was continuing going along the water slide. It was now just a rapid and would take u around the park. Others were on the slide too. I was trying to figure out how to get out of theme park, because they were more guarded and switched on to catch people like myself. I decided to go for another escape. I begin running through the hall but end up getting chased by a women. I lose track of where I'm going and end up in a public shower room. I hide up on top of showers, watching her every move. I feel I'm easily visible if she was to glance up, which she eventually does. Im unsure what happens after this. I think I outrun her.

Im now walking around the park trying to figure out and remember which way I was meant to go, to get out into the safe zone, so I could be with the rest of my friends.

I'm outside my house and it's night time. There's s device which is like a sling shot. U can get into it and play around with it. I start to shoot an apple into the sky and Daryl tries to catch it on the way down. I was making it hard for him by pulling the apple down in flight, which would make it come down a lot quicker. I could see Daryl getting frustrated. I see Gary Ablett Jr. He's in his Gold Coast Suns jersey. I get his attention, So I can get him to try and catch the apple. If anymore could get it, Gary could. I can't launch the apple near him cause of where i am standing. I signal him where to stand, but he eventually just leaves.
I leave and end up in a room with a lot of people at my school? It's like an assembly. We're all sitting down. They announce that it's an awards night. I think to myself that I shouldn't be here because I won't be getting an award, but decide to stay anyways.

Side Notes: Did some EFT with the proper approach imo. So good so far.

    10. Water into concrete and an ambush

      by , 06-22-2015 at 09:12 PM (Snehk's Dreamlands)
It was cold, dark night. With my younger sister we were swimming by boat to a small island in the middle of a lake. I climbed up a rock, and looked around. Suddenly I saw my sister running from the other end of the lake, jumping over boats and running on the water to me.

I asked "How did you ran over the water?" She replied "Water? It's concrete!". Then I saw that the rock I was standing on was placed in the middle of city square. Street lamps were off, dark. Moving through the dark alleys I entered a passageway going under the city. It was heavily crowded. I tried to go to the other side, but when I opened the door to first route I thought "Wait! This is an ambush. The doors will be closed if I enter it!"

I decided to go the second route, but suddenly a passer-by told me that someone broken the key, and the place is locked. I moved to the door and tried to open it, to no avail. I hit the door with my fist, and then tried to smash a nearby window, but they resisted my strikes.
    11. Dream Battle / Rainbow Tasting / What's Up My Sleeve? (DILD)

      by , 06-14-2015 at 08:18 PM
A woman and I are running from a pursuer, another woman. "Faster, faster!" the first woman urges me. "Don't look back, it will slow you down." I don't see why I have to run away, but fine, I'll play along... I do look back, however, and I'm surprised how close the pursuer is. This motivates me to try to put some distance between me and her, so I run harder... and yet I can't seem to make much gain on her. I'm perplexed: I know I should be able to do this, I'm dreaming, it's not like I have to rely on my physical stamina. I wonder if the answer is in running with more short strides rather than trying to cover more distance with each step, much as one is advised to run in WL, so I try out variations. I'm making progress, but concentrating so hard on my running form is becoming tedious. "Imagining running is almost as hard as the real thing!" I comment to the woman fleeing with me. Getting bored with this situation I decide to put an end to it, and succeed in sprinting ahead to the point where I can turn a corner and leave the pursuer's field of vision, at which point I figure I've made a fair escape.

However, it turns out that my pursuer had an accomplice: I now find myself in a struggle with a huge brawny man with a shaggy brown beard. I perceive him as a Viking, and I'm aware that his name is Torvald. He is connected somehow with the woman who was chasing me earlier, and is likewise an antagonist. Our struggle manifests partially as a kind of combat, but it feels as much like a battle of dream control as a physical battle.

I easily resist Torvald's initial attempts to subdue me, but his immense confidence makes me wonder if I should doubt my own. I go on the offensive and try to put him out of action more permanently, trying various tactics to destroy his body. For instance, at one point I imagine his body being crushed by a great weight from above, and although this has him stretched out supine on the ground for as long as I'm actively thinking it, he is soon back on his feet. I try crushing his heart and throat from inside his body, but he is only briefly inconvenienced.

I wonder if fire would do the trick, and visualize Torvald's body burning to ash. Though I've said nothing aloud, he appears to understand my intentions, and rather than actively resisting like he did with my other attacks, he simply denies the efficacy of this approach. "Fire won't work," he tells me flatly. I refuse to acknowledge this and continue contentrating on the image of fire consuming him. "Fire won't work," Torvald tells me again. I'm thinking: how could this be? It's my dream, isn't it? Fire should work if I say it should work. So I redouble my focus on the fire. With patient indifference, Torvald insists: "Fire won't work." I find this disconcerting, because apparently my confidence is unable to overcome his. Aren't I the dreamer? But there is no time for philosophical questions; we are still in combat. I switch tactics: if he is resistant to fire, how about ice? I start to try to freeze him—even if it doesn't destroy him it might at least slow him down temporarily—but Torvald has found the opening he needed and pins me to the ground.

Torvald's inexplicable ability to ignore my attempts to burn him makes me wonder if I should worry that he could actually harm me. But I have a superpower too: as the dreamer, I am invulnerable... aren't I? I decide to play it safe, and secretly project my "real" identity to the roof of a nearby building. It is a large square brick structure about 8–10 stories high, and I crouch behind the low brick railing that surrounds the flat roof, tempted to peek out at the combat occurring down below but not wanting to let Torvald see me and discover the trick. So I transfer my perceptions back to my body on the ground, which I now regard as a mere DC, and thus disposable. If my attacker succeeds in destroying this body, it won't matter: I've secured my identity elsewhere. Torvald actually glances up toward the roof when I think this, and I quickly realize that I need to guard my thoughts as well.

"Do you have someone watching me?" Torvald asks. I am relieved, because although he suspects that there is an observer on the roof, he hasn't seen through my whole trick—he doesn't seem to recognize that the person up there is actually me. I project a new thought toward him, gleefully: I recall how undercover police have been tracking him, and that I've been using our encounter to distract and delay him until they were in position. Maybe none of this was true earlier, but it doesn't matter: this is a dream battle, so it is true now! When Torvald looks back down at me, I grin mockingly and deliberately call him by the wrong name, "Harald," just to annoy him further. The game is up, and my undercover officers move in and force Torvald to release me. I'm not sure what happens to him after that... pleased with having solved the dilemma, I simply walk away.

What's next? The last incident was not one that I had intended, but now I'm free to work on tasks. I enter a wide clearing and wonder if I should try the Dragon Age task again. I've always liked the idea of aligning dream space with fictional environments from books, films, or games, but I'm still trying to figure out how to do it. I suppose the first step would be to remember a concrete environment from the game and try to insert aspects of it here. I played DA:I just last night, so I should be able to access those memories... but as I seek them out I feel a tremor of dream instability, and decide not to push it. If there's a risk of waking, I should put that task off until later. For now, there are still a few TOTMs I haven't tried this month, and I decide to work on those.

"Taste a rainbow." That one is easy to remember. I imagine a rainbow in the sky, and produce something very faint and not at all rainbow-colored. The colors are largely ochres and earthtones, and not even in proper lines but arranged in a more tesselated pattern over the arch. I'm not being a perfectionist at this point, so I accept this as a "rainbow" and shrink it into a stick of candy in my hand. The colors have changed in the process, and for some reason the candy stick is white with swirls of red and blue. Still not rainbow-colored! But I take a bite. The texture is interesting, lots of little pieces that crunch between my teeth, but the flavor is a real disappointment: vague, muted, and blandly sweet. Apart from "sweet," no other descriptors really present themselves. This won't do. A rainbow should taste more unusual than this! I decide to start over.

This time I put more work into the rainbow itself. I first visualize it, then focus on the faint transparent arch until it becomes more clearly visible, but this also has the consequence of making it more material. Now it appears like a physical object, a two-dimensional vertical banner in an arch about ten feet high and twenty feet long, right in front of me. I work on correcting the pattern so that it has rainbow colors in properly aligned stripes... I see some improvement, although it is a C+ effort at best. It looks better than my last attempt, anyway, so I approach the "rainbow" and try to take a bite directly out of it. The experience is like... chewing on a shower curtain. It really feels like I've put a sheet of plastic in my mouth, although the material is soft enough to crush between my teeth. Again the texture is more prominent than the taste. I put all my attention on the flavor, trying to detect anything describable, and think maybe I get some underlying fruity notes, but again it remains vague and uninteresting. Taste and smell are the least developed of my dream senses... I wonder if I could improve them if I worked at it?

I feel like I have adequately completed the task, anyway, and wonder what to try next. In all my efforts with the rainbows I had hardly paused to note all the people sitting at various tables around this clearing, like picnickers, but observing them now, I figure it might be fun to try the magic show. What would a stage magician do? I guess the most basic tricks involve having something up one's hat or one's sleeve? I notice that I am completely naked, which has long since ceased to embarrass me in dreams, but gives me a mischievous idea.

"What's up my sleeve?" I start circling among the various tables, challenging the audience members to come up with a response. One of the first responses is: "Following a guy from Eton to [...]?" (I forgot the second place name.) This answer reminds me of the earlier scene, and how I resolved the conflict with Torvald. This DC must have been one of my officers! "Are you an undercover cop?" I ask him in reply. He grudgingly nods. "Not anymore!" I'm joking about how he has just blown his cover, but it also feels like an appropriate analogy to my own lack of sleeves... I'm not "undercover" either.

I continue asking, "What's up my sleeve?" and collect various other responses from the audience, all of which were non-sequiturs... but I reasoned that the illogic of the question itself (since there was no sleeve) invited such creative responses. After hearing from seven different people, I realized that I might have trouble remembering all this when I woke up, so I stopped and went over their answers again, one by one, to help fix them in memory. Already I had trouble recalling two of the answers, but one of the DCs helpfully reminded me, additionally pointing out that the answers varied between the metaphorical (things that never could go up a sleeve) and the literal ("Three shekels" was one of these answers, I think). Meanwhile I was getting ready for the grand finale to my show, when I would reveal my own answer to the question. I had been planning on the groaningly obvious "Nothing!" and was ready for the big reveal when I noticed that something had changed... now I was wearing clothes, including a short-sleeved shirt. I realized that if I was going to go for the groaningly obvious at this point, I would have to answer "My arm!"

I felt myself start waking up, and I already had a lot to remember and report so I didn't resist the process. I woke up slowly enough that I was able to concentrate on those seven answers from the DCs and hold them in mind, with what felt like excellent clarity and accuracy. And then something happened... as I crossed the threshold, despite all my care and preparation, the memories abruptly tattered, the details dissolving. The only one of the seven answers I could still remember, and that incompletely, was the first—and that I suspect only because it was anchored by its reference to the earlier scene.

      Dream - Running downhill

I remember there being some kind of story before becoming lucid but I can't recall it..
I was standing in the middle of a road facing downhill, it was pretty steep, and I became lucid randomly. Knowing that the past few times I've had a lucid dream I've avoided doing reality checks, I decided to do them this time as a way of trying to stabilize. I pushed a finger into the palm of each hand a few times and keep my eyes moving, I should also mention that I was running downhill too. I decide to set a goal, finding a certain girl who I have to ask something to find out my opinion on something ***super vague***
I run around shouting the name of the person I'm looking for, but things got bumpy... As in I started bumping into things, like cars.
I woke up in the end, my intentions were pretty pure in that dream (no caveman mode! woot!), and I remember that one of the cars I bumped into was my parents and it had the baby seat which my daughter sits in, but I decided in the dream to avoid following the dream story. The end.

    13. 4/9/15 - running from everyting

by , 04-09-2015 at 05:38 PM (Leaving the matrix)
I'm in my grandparents property with someone who seems part my cousin part random DC. It seems about the afternoon, Me and the DC are running and jumping over everything on my grandparents property, and we're trying not to be spotted by my grandparents for some reason. There's snakes, huge snakes in places I don't see until I'm right in front of it and then we both panic and try to run from it but also be quiet so my grandparents don't hear and we jump over this wood fence because my grandpa came out and we try so hard not to be seen but wherever we go grandpas commenting about it and us calmly while we are alarmed and afraid, and this huge anaconda with shiny skin is all curled around the wall we are running towards and it hears us and begins to move but we split past it and then when we turn the corner there's this fricken huge headcrab spider thing and it makes that noise and i can see it tensing up to get ready to jump at us so I push the DC and run for the chain link fence as I hear the thing jumping around behind me, I feel like it's about to jump on me so I panic and go for the pool, my grandma is out near the pool for some reason and I jump into the pool so the headcrab wont get me and then i jump out the other end and my grandma gets mad that i jumped into the pool and i apologize but have to keep running so i run into the garage and wonder why she got angry with me for jumping in the pool i wonder if she put chemicals in it then wake up.
    14. (April 8, 2015) Scary stuff

      by , 04-09-2015 at 05:20 AM
Late entry, but late is better than never.

first dream i was in some sort of tall building out on a balcony, scenery resembled old town from the game dying light. I look across about 100 yards away from the balcony, a small concrete bunker on a cliffside. I tell the group of people i am with i want to go there to meditate to improve my dream abilities and they laugh at me but i go anyway. I go into the bunker down an open hatch on the roof, down a all concrete staircase into a all concrete room with some yard supplies. i forget wy i am there and I grab a wheel barrow and collect some things. i go deeper into the bunker and end up in the finished basement of my old house, but it is dark. It is a room with the staircase in the middle dividing it into two sections of room. one with carpet and one with tile, and "tongue and groove" wood walls. I feel fear for some reason and leave. i go out the basement, back up the concrete stair entrance leaving the wheel barrow at the base of the stairs. i turn for a moment and stare at it, and it suddenly get thrashed, flipping over spilling all its contents, like something from a ghost movie and i very quickly run away from there. i am now all the way down the mountain on the road, with no transition between the two. I am talking to my friend somewhat frantically about the incident.

I wake up, throat dry so i grab the water next to me. forgot to do at least a basic wbtb.

This dream below would have been more complete had i wrote it down this morning.

I am in a classroom. its dark colored, faded wallpaper, really run down. The teacher decides to showcase a video of what i had done earlier in the dream, except instead of watching it the dream changes and I am now living this scene. I am in a very dark house, or asylum, or building, not quite sure but go with the flow. There are a series of long long dark hallways and the power is out. It is storming outside and lighting lights the room every once in a while. I see the silhouette of a ghost in one of the flashes, wait a minute and walk down the hallway to see it. now my family appears with me, but quickly disappears when i look down the next hallway. i assume the ghost did something. I see old t-shirts on the ground and pick them up thinking i may need them. The lightning flashes again, i see the ghost again at the end of the hallway and i start to run straight for it this time, it goes down the next hallway 90 degrees to it. there is another shirt at the intersection and i pick it up, look up to see the ghost flying at me. I have no time to react and it stops me. it is a pale older woman, wearing all gray dull clothing. she has no pupils, the dead eyes completely white. then the dream ends

usually dreams of horror themes never bother, gotta say these two in a row made me a bit skittish in my dreams. they usually help me become lucid, resizing this isnt real, but not this time!
    15. Old Woman Running (NLD)

      by , 04-07-2015 at 07:49 AM
Recall: 3/10. I'm in the town where I grew up but I'm an old woman. I'm jogging and despite my age I feel like it is effortless, so I decide to run the five miles to my house outside of town. I am crossing an intersection as I decide this, and suddenly something sails through the air and nearly hits me. It clatters to the pavement and I see it is an empty half-sized soda can. I look around for where it came from, and see a black man, evidently a vagrant, who is shouting and throwing them at me. He seems angry but I can't make out his words. He throws a second and then a third can.

I try to go another way to avoid him but find myself in a cul-de-sac that leads through a narrow alley into an even darker square surrounded by tall buildings. It looks creepy and dangerous, and from the lack of light I assume that the alley is the only way out or in. There is a dumpster in the alley and a guy going through it. I have no reason to go this way and fear for my safety if I do, so I return to my original route. The ground of this cul-de-sac street is covered with bananas, layers of them flattened and smashed against the ground, filling the air with a fruity, overripe smell. I don't remember my town being so heavily involved in the banana industry, and it doesn't make sense given that bananas don't even grow around here, but I can't discount the evidence all around me. As I leave the cul-de-sac and return to the main street, I am running over such a thick layer of smashed bananas on the ground that I have to take extra care not to slip and fall.

Some clothes in a shop catch my eye, and I pause to look them over. There are two outfits that seem ideal for an elderly woman like me, or at least, they look like the sort of thing you often see old ladies wearing. Both consist of a zip-up top and half-length pants in matching polyester. I try on the pants of one set, but don't like the texture of the cloth, and although it looks like I'd still be able to run in them, I wonder if they would end up chafing my legs. I decide to stick with my knee-length black lycra running tights and put them back on.

I start running home again. Then I remember how some people use the mental image of a repetitive motion, like running, as an anchor during their WILD attempts. I think it might be fun to give this a try and see if I can run right into the dream state. Even though conditions are ideal (given that I'm already dreaming at the time!) my attempts amount to little and I don't get lucid. I have the impression I started thinking this while I was actually in the process of waking up.
