    1. Lucid dream and school dream

by , 01-19-2011 at 02:32 AM (Awesomeness's quest for lucidity)
Real life Dream Lucid Nightmare Dream sign
For me to remember, dreams are #067300, and lucid dreams are the color below blue, #4169e1. Nightmares are dark red, #8b0000, and dream signs are the light purple, which is up one and left one from blue, #483d8b.

Another decently long lucid. As usual, became lucid near the end of the REM cycle...

      My home lucid dream
May have been a false awakening. As usual, I don't remember much before I became lucid, but I think I woke up and did my morning routine inside the dream. At some point after breakfast I became spontaneously lucid. (I pretty much always become lucid this way)

I said something to my mom like "Bye Mom, got to go" and walked out the front door. I looked around, and suddenly my little brother came out with my usual vitamins, saying I forgot them. I took them and proceeded. I never noticed him walk back inside; he became insignificant and I forgot about him.

I walked over to my neighbors' house, unfortunately with no clear goal in mind, (I forgot my dream goals) and as I did the dream faded. No! My dream just started!

      School with no shirt dream

I was at school. I forgot something as I approached my class. I ran all the way back to my backpack to get it, and hurried back to class.

Suddenly, I had the insight that I had no shirt on as I approached my class. I panicked, and ran back to my backpack, hoping my shirt was in there. I saw Clark on the way to my backpack.

      I got to my backpack,
and realized it was black instead of orange, which made me question my situation a little. As I looked through my backpack, I realized my shirt was not in there, that there was no way I could have gotten to school without a shirt, nor did I have three pairs of glasses, and that the glasses I did have were not the same.

I went lucid, and woke up.

    2. Roll Rumble, Ping Polo, Shiny Shirts, and Deja Vu

by , 01-17-2011 at 10:38 PM (Alone With my Mind)
I just finished burning down the house, so I guess I should record my dreams.

      Torotot Wars (lucid)
      NON-DREAM NON-LUCID LUCID
I wielded my pair of torotots (Tagalog for paper towel rolls XD) and ran around smashing people over the head with them. They were attacking me inside my house, so the paper towels rolls are all I could find. I ran into my bedroom to catch my breath and do a reality check. 'Looks like I'm dreaming', I thought as air passed through my closed mouth. I walked into my hallway, and I slashed the throat of an enemy. What the hell? I thought, the short torotot had turned into my purple dagger. Sweet. I tried to turn the long one into a long sword, but someone knocked it out of my hand and tackled me. Before I could run outside to get to the apocalypse ship in China for the LPTC, he took my dagger and plunged it through my chest.

      Water Pong
      NON-DREAM NON-LUCID LUCID
I opened the door and sat down on the edge of the chair. Naomi and Nick were in bathing suits, playing a game in a small pool, kinda like ping pong and water polo. They were trying to score by getting the ball past a blue line behind their opponent. Naomi kicked Nick's ass, and I was asked if I wanted to play. I got up and waited a bit to think about it, and said, "Sure." I took off my shirt and got in the pool. I cracked my knuckles and the judge threw the ball into the middle of the water. I lunged for the ball, colliding with Naomi.

      For a Good Cause
      NON-DREAM NON-LUCID LUCID
I visited someone's house as my parent's talked with other parents about some sort of cause that had to do with school. I walked around the house and visited a room with high ceilings and an opening to an upstairs. I heard my brother and some of his friends up there. I yelled, "Get down here!" and all three of the jumped maybe fifteen feet downwards. They were all wearing ugly, shiny, gold clothes and flashy jewelry. "What are you wearing?!" I questioned. My bro said, "We are wearing this stuff for a reason," and one of his friends started doing some dirty dance.

      Not Again
      NON-DREAM NON-LUCID LUCID
Rachel, Bowen, and I walked outside to the parking lot to check something for our bio class with a few other students. We walked back into the classroom and it was fenced out by the construction workers. The sign on the class read, "Go to room 6311 for your backpacks, check room 3211 for Ms. D." "Oh well," I said, "let's just go home." Alex walked up to us looking rather sickly. "You want these peanut butter marshmallow sandwich? I'm to sick to eat." Rachel and I said, "No, thanks." Alex set it down on a tray by one of the pillars. Bowen ran back to grab it and took a few bites. "You're actually eating that?" I asked. "Mhm," he nodded. "Gross..." I watched some asshole driver in a tan Toyota speed onto the sidewalk. 'I know that car...' I thought.

This ending to the dream and the car I saw is exactly the same as the one I remember dreaming about three years ago.

The dream skips and my mom is taking my brother and I to the parking lot. It suddenly become dusk, and the street light ominously lit up a small section of the lot. The car was racing down the lanes of the parking lot trying to run us over. "Run!" I screamed. We all scrambled through shortcuts trying to outwit the driver, which worked almost flawlessly. We slipped between cars and the driver lost us for a second. My mom and my brother ignorantly ran towards our car; they didn't see the man driving towards them. "Wait!" I called out to them with no response. The man stopped and got out of his car. My brother saw him pull out a pistol and ran back toward me, but the man shot him in the back of the knee, and he crumpled to the ground. He pointed the gun toward my mom, and she whipped out a pistol from her pocket. I ducked down and heard two quick shots and a body falling. I don't know whose it was.
    3. Starcraft and Middle School Shenanigans

      by , 01-17-2011 at 03:51 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was playing Starcraft, but it was with dinosaurs. I had to make two little triceratops swim across a lake to get to my base. One of them was yellow, and the other was green. They looked like Sara off of The Land Before Time. I saw a T-Rex's shadow and heard it coming, so I had to try to evade it.

Then, I was the Zerg race, and I couldn't find my base, so I started building one from scratch on a section of land. I was immediately attacked, and had to restart the game. I saw a little gray circle on the map, and went up to look at it. It was the perfect area for a base, and yet again, I had to start from scratch. I played around with it for a little while, building structures and warriors, even though I had started with nothing at all. I got attacked a few times, but I fought off the attackers. I remember seeing an option to build Zerg houses, but they were useless. You could build lighthouses too. Then, my game froze, and I had to restart it.

This time, it restarted right at my base, and I didn't have to start from scratch. My base was already there, and I had the Zerg drones to mine with and turn into Zerglings and such. They were moving super fast though, so that made it difficult to click on them.

      ~

I was back in middle school, but I was taking college courses. My brother was there with me. We went to our Social Dance class, a class I've already taken in college in waking life. We were in a classroom instead of a dance studio. We listened to Paco, the teacher, introduce himself and talk. I zoned out since I had already taken the class. A bunch of people started to get up, so I got up too and followed them. We went into the band room, which looked like a regular classroom.

The 8th grade band was playing William Tell Overture. Supposedly, I was standing with a bunch of 7th graders, who were listening to the 8th grade band. I left, kind of embarrassed. I didn't return to Paco's class. Instead, I contemplated leaving to go home. I knew it was risky and I'd probably get caught, but I was 22, what could they really do to me? I'm not a kid anymore. I went down some stairs, and at some point, I saw a "gothy"-looking couple holding hands, walking down the hallway. I wandered into a lobby area. I wanted to leave, but I couldn't remember where I parked. There were people changing classes, and it was almost time for the next class to start. People started to thin out. I knew I needed to leave soon if I didn't want to get caught. I opened a door, and saw an empty hallway, with my middle school art teacher, Mr. Hayes, standing in there. I quickly shut the door. At some point, I saw my friend Sierra, and she said hello to me, but then I thought it was probably her younger sister.

I decided to look at my class schedule, which was embroidered on this little decorative pillow. It has half in Spanish, and instead of room numbers, it had vague directions on how to get to the classes. My next class was "Below JOUR 1-7". I thought that was kind of ridiculous.

Then, I ran into my mom. She told me that there had been a change of plans, and they were leaving to go to Oregon in 4 minutes. I asked why, and she started talking about some disease that started with an M. For some reason, I became depessed around this point. I kind of tuned her out, and started to think about what I could do since her and my father wouldn't be home. Drugs sounded like a good idea. Painkillers? Yeah. That's what I wanted to do. I thought of this as I went down another flight of stairs. I walked by Paco's classroom, and he had a chart out with a diagram explaining how to swing dance.

Then my alarm went off, and I woke up.

    4. Worries

by , 01-17-2011 at 01:27 PM (Insights from Id)
I remember only a fragment of this dream. I am looking upon my naked body in the mirror, and I notice with distress that my left breast hangs slightly lower than the right. I turn to my husband, who says I am beautiful the way I am. I begin to smile, then realize I haven't done my homework that was due yesterday and I haven't studied for finals. I have nobody to blame but myself.
    5. A Lady In White: The Return of the Queen?

      by , 01-16-2011 at 03:15 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Well, I slept better last night. (Understatement. I slept like a freaking rock, which is weird for me. I didn't even wake up to my WBTB alarm.) Still didn't have great recall, but the quality of the dream makes up for it.

      1- Cell Phone (fragment)
I get a text message from my friend saying that her parents finally gave her a cell phone, so I can text her now and not have to worry about my phobia of calling people. ((Part of a much longer and much more interesting dream that I can only get flashes of.))

      2- Unplanned Vacation
((My family is having some issues, I believe it involves the mafia, but I can't remember that part.)) My nonexistent sister is driving off without permission to go to Edistoe Island. I rashly jump in the car and demand to go with her. At the very least, I should be able to keep her out of trouble. It isn't long, however, before I realize the implications of this little endeavor. Not only will my mother be absolutely furious with me, but my sister is obviously somewhat crazy and I don't want to get dragged down with her.

"Pull over and let me out," I demand.

"What? No. You wanted to come with me."

"Look, I can't do this. I have a good life here, and I don't want to screw it up. Just let me out, I can walk home from here."

She sighs and pulls the car over. "What a goody-two-shoes. Mom's still going to be mad at you, y'know."

I grin impishly. "Not if I tell her you kidnapped me." With that, I get out of the car and run off.

I become lucid shortly afterward. It's a low level of lucidity, though, because I still think I have to go home. Wanting to stay off the main road, I leap of the bridge and fly toward the ruins of an older bridge secluded in the woods. A large beam stretches out across the river. It is fairly wide, something that would take absolutely no skill to balance across, yet I quickly find that dream gravity can be a pain in the butt. As I start to walk across it, I become really heavy and am finding it hard to keep my balance. What is this, dream vertigo? Fortunately, I make it across without falling.

On the other side, I am approached by two calico cats. One of them looks a lot like Sadie, but I examine her markings and see that she's not. I speak to them for a bit as they listen in silence.

Then I lose what little lucidity I had. A lady dressed in a short white dress walks up to me; she looks a lot like the Queen, with her unnaturally pale complexion and her choice of clothing, even her silvery blond hair color. Her hair style is different, though. Whereas the Queen has long, flowing hair, this woman's hair is short and curly. I don't notice these similarities in the dream, due to my cat snoring IRL
and waking me up. ((For all I know, she could have been the Queen. Changing one's hairstyle is not that difficult, particularly in a dream. I didn't really have much time to find out.))

      3- An Actress?
As I am getting ready for school and trying not to miss the bus, students and teachers are meandering around the house. I don't find it odd, just annoying. They won't leave the room while I'm trying to get dressed. And damn, I forgot to print out my lab report.

Distracted, I somehow put on a shirt on top of my jacket. My AP chem teacher walks in at that point and laughs at me. "Ugh, I give up."

I put some sort of makeup on, and when I look in the mirror I realize that my whole face is blue. It actually makes me look really cool, but I can't go to school like this!

After I fix that problem, my ears are suddenly painfully rejecting my earrings. They are bending around and making the metal stab me. Annoyed, I take the earrings out and throw them on the floor. "I just won't wear any today."

A bit later, I am shocked to see that lady in my house! "Who is that?" I ask my mom. She tells me it's some actress. "But I had a dream about her! How is that possible?" I am being quite loud. The lady, who is standing beside a large man with a top hat and a cigar, turns around and smiles at me. I blush, but I can't look away.
((I wake up again shortly afterward. Hmm. I still can't say for sure it was her. In the majority of the dreams I've had of her, she's always either tried to kill me or nearly gotten me killed. With a few odd exceptions. It's not like her to just stare at me without saying anything and make me wake up. Which, by the way, is way more annoying than trying to kill me.))

    6. Easter & baseball

      by , 01-16-2011 at 10:29 AM
I dreamt again! But no LD yet...

      1. It was easter and I was at school. There where lying iPhones and iPods everywhere, but nobody took them, so they where all for me.
      2. I played baseball white a couple of people of my favorite soap (Thuis). The cleaning lady was leading the game.

No LD's yet. I'm now doing RC's and trying some iPhone apps.

    7. Hot, Stuffy Hotel Room (Night of December 30-31)

by , 01-16-2011 at 07:19 AM (The Lab Notebook)
[This is a catch-up post. This dream is from the night of December 30-31, 2010.]

I'm in a classroom in Britain. We're playing a game that involves the chalkboard, and walking in between two desks.

I'm in a room (possibly a hotel room; there's a bed in it, anyway) with Q
[from Star Trek: The Next Generation]. I attempt to walk through one of the walls of the room, but get stuck halfway through it, and yell at him for messing with me. He manifests a bouncy ball made out of water, and we both bounce it back and forth.

[Dreamskip.] I'm still in that same room, but now I'm lying down on the floor under the bed. I'm stuck there somehow and can't get up. Q and some random (apparently) human woman are having sex on the bed. It's way too hot and stuffy in the room, and I'm starting to feel like there's no air in there. I get up and open the door. There's a screen door behind it. Later, I explain to Q why I did that. I say, “Did you forget that I needed oxygen to breathe?” He doesn't seem to mind that I opened the door.

I'm at a party with my mom and a bunch of her teacher friends. We're all on an outdoor patio of a restaurant at first, and then we all get into a rectangular ride vehicle that
[somehow] works as a Gravitron. We all strap ourselves into our seats, and the vehicle starts moving forward. While it's moving, I look at a door on the side of the vehicle, labeled Door #6. I don't think it's closed all the way, so I reach over and try to close it, but I end up opening it. This makes the ride shut down, since I've just depressurized the cabin, and makes everyone else on the ride angry at me. A voice over the loudspeaker says, “Next time, the useless will have no reason to be here.” I defend myself by saying, “I didn't know how to close it!” An alarm is going off. I woke up at this point.

      ------------------
      Side notes:
I realized after I woke up from this dream that, for the second time since I've been keeping a regular dream journal, sense data from my real body came through into my dream. In this case, it was so cold on this night that I slept with all the blankets pulled up over my head. I really was trying to breathe hot, stuffy air in reality, so that became true in my dream, too. I think that's a pretty cool phenomenon.

    8. More Manipulation; Canine Insights

      by , 01-14-2011 at 03:29 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1/14/11

      1-The Storm
I arrive at school, black clouds swirling in the sky. I'd best get inside; tornadoes are already starting to form, and I know I can't fight them like I do in my dreams. ((Uh... Reality check??? Idiot.)) Once inside, we are all ushered to the gym for some sort of ceremony. Incidentally, I am sitting next to Mitchell. This is somewhat of a problem: I can sense he is beginning to fall for me, and I have no feelings for him whatsoever. In fact, I find him quite bothersome. But here, I face a conflict of personality.

My inhibited side wants to make it clear that I am not interested. However, a manipulative part of me wants to be with him to stir up trouble. After all, Shelby was obsessed with him for two years. I could just picture her reaction if I actually went out with him! The thought makes me giggle, and Mitchell looks at me with amusement. "What's so funny?"

"Uh, nothing." Idiot. I can't just use a person like that for my own crazy thrills. It's not ethical. Just because I have a thing for drama doesn't mean everyone else should suffer because of it.

I continue arguing with myself until the ceremony is over. For some reason Mitchell is leaving early, and he wants me to help him carry some stuff to his car. Oh, great... 'If he asks me out, I'd better say no,' I warn myself fiercely. Oh, come on, another part of me says, Don't you think it'd be a LITTLE fun to toy with him? 'No! Well, yes, but that's beside the point!'

At Mitchell's car, I hand him his things and glance up at the dark sky. "I have a feeling we won't be having school tomorrow," I say. He nods, seeming distracted, and looks at me hesitantly. Oh no, it's even worse than I thought. He's thinking about kissing me!

Some of my panic must have shown through, because he instead leans in closer and hugs me. "Goodbye," he says softly.

"Uh, goodbye," I mutter, unable to stop myself from hugging him back. Damn. I'm going to murder Evil Me one of these days...

He gets into his car and drives off, while I head back to the school. I feel dizzy, and my heart is beating out of control. "See what you're doing?" I mutter to myself. "Getting these stupid teenage hormones all out of whack. Something is seriously wrong with you." As soon as I walk in the door, I am met by a very unpleasant senior. I recognize her instantly as one of the newspaper staff. ((IRL, my school doesn't have a newspaper.)) I realize that she saw me with Mitchell, which is one of the worst possible things that could happen. ((According to the dream, there had been some sort of incident surrounding Mitchell lately, making him somewhat of a "celebrity."))

"You're going out with Mitchell?" she asks excitedly, notepad in hand. "How long have you known each other? What is your name?"

"It isn't like that," I say evasively, and run away from her. News travels quickly, though, and I am hounded by student reporters the whole rest of the day. Evil Me loves it. Shy Me wishes they would go away.

Finally the day ends, and my mood is as dark as the raging storm outside. It doesn't help matters any when my friends drag me along to help some girl with her boyfriend problems and end up making me miss the bus. They offer to drive me home; I have no option but to except.
My mood improves drastically when I realize that this is all a dream.

Instead of ending up at my house, we are forced to stop at this creepy old mansion. Everything about it screams haunted: there are ghostly wails, eerie and unexplainable creaks, flickering lights... "My subconscious is so cliche," I say with amusement.
((I am lucid for a while, but I don't remember the rest of it.))

      2- Important Insights
People have been collapsing lately and becoming completely catatonic. A girl falls down in front of me; I catch her before she hits the ground, then sit down and hold her against me as she has a violent seizure. I learn that she has a boyfriend named Zachary, so I use that to try to get her to come out of this. "Come on," I say, "You have to fight this. Zachary would be devastated if he never got to speak to you again." I continue saying things like this until she miraculously comes back to consciousness.

Later, I am working at some weird experimental facility dealing with the spiritual insights of dogs. At first, my job is to chase the dogs down as they run on their delirious quest to reach an insight. Then I get a promotion to counselor.

"This is your choice," I say to the dog in my hand, just as I'd heard my superiors say not long before. "No one else can decide this for you. If you chose to stay here, everything will return to the way it was. If you decide to go out there, you'll have an amazing spiritual awakening and come to an important insight. Just know that once you choose, there's no turning back. What is your decision?"

"I choose to go out," the dog says. As soon as he steps outside, his eyes turns dazed and he runs around frantically for several minutes, before finally coming to a halt and reaching his insight, which one of the Chasers promptly records.

My superior tells me to wrap it up for today. "I'll be finished after this last dog," I tell her, and give the dog my speech. All the chasers have gone home for the day, so I take this task as well. I follow the dog on his crazed run; for some reason I am running on all fours as well. I feel fast and free! I should run like this all the time!

Finally the dog stops, and looks enlightened. "What is your insight?" I pant.

"That dogs and people are really not that different, and can live in harmony together."

    9. Onion People?

      by , 01-13-2011 at 10:11 PM
so i had this dream last night, and i feel like i should post it before i forget about it. (again, please ignore all typing errors...)

so my friend laura and i were in school, and we were going from lunch to ap psych class. while we were walking the bell rang, so we were late, but neither of us seemed to care. instead of going to the ap psych classroom, we walked to my japanese classroom. but oddly enough, the class we were going to was gym (which we dont even have senior year), taught by my freshman year gym teacher (lets call him mr. j). when we got inside the classroom, there were no desks, but a dirt floor, and the students were playing football. mr. j yelled at us for being late, but didnt give us a dt or anything. instead he told us to join a team and play. so we played football in the classroom until mr. j decided it was time to take notes on how to play football instead. desks sort of faded in, but in the dream it was like they were always there. we sat down and started taking notes.

suddenly i heard a noise behind me. i turned around and noticed a little onion person (who apparently was a student) having a hiccup attack. the onion person was probably about two feet tall, with an onion for a head and a body made out of an oniony material. after hiccuping for a while, the onion person flew out of its seat and dropped dead to the floor. "god damn it all, there goes another one of thosr onion people!" mr. j proclaimed. he called up a janitor to get rid of the onion persons body on his cell phone, then went over to the body. "hey, you kids want to see what an onion person heart looks like?" he reached into the onion persons layers and pulled out what looked like... an onion (no surprise there). then he peeled it open to reveal that on the inside was a lot of brownish juice, i guess what would be its "blood", but really it looked like rotten veggie puree. mr. j procedes to explain to the class that "all onion people have hearts like this since they come from zedden. thats spelled h-k-x-w." i was about to ask how the hell he came up with that spelling when i woke up.

    10. In Which I Turn Confusion into Lucidity

      by , 01-13-2011 at 05:46 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1/13/11

      1- Failed Planning
I have gone to take the SAT, and for some strange reason Mitchell, my friend's ex-obsessionboyfriend, is with me. He is supposed to be taking the test, too, and my mother is going to pay the fee for him. However, his name does not seem to be on the list. "Can't you just print him off an answer document?" My mom asks the lady.

"Did you even sign up for this, or were you just planning to take it on a whim?" I ask Mitchell in annoyance.

I try to explain to my mother that he didn't sign up and that no, they CAN'T just print off an answer document because the College Board deals with that and they would need all of his information. She refuses to listen to me and keeps arguing. I glare at Mitchell, who still does not appear to know what's going on.

Later, he has somehow angered a mob of crazed tourists. I learn that there is some sort of zombie virus outbreak, and that he has tricked the tourists into giving them these tickets that are used to gain passage into a zombie free zone. I snatch the tickets away from him after I chase off the mob. "Why did you take all these in the first place?"

"I needed them for autographs!" Oh my god, what an idiot, I think in disgust.

"Autographs? What the hell are you talking about?" I notice that all of the tickets have the initials RL scrawled on the back of them.

((Also, it seemed like Samael was involved in the whole ordeal, but I can't remember how.))

      2- Street Punks
I am riding the school bus, and for some reason my dad is sharing the seat with me and this other girl. She asks my dad why he's coming to school with me. I suddenly wonder the same. What in the world is he doing on the bus? Without learning the answer, we arrive at school and I wander down the hallway. What class am I supposed to go to...? Something is wrong with my memory. I end up at my AP United States History class. "Oh yeah, I have APUSH first period," I remind myself.

But where is all my stuff? Is it in my locker? I go to my locker and find that someone else's stuff is there. "Did we have a locker change again?" I ask a nearby student.

"Yeah, it's really annoying when they do that. Should have waited 'till the next semester."

I remember that my alternate locker number is on my schedule... which is in my locker. Great. ((BTW, there is no such thing as a locker change or an alternate locker number. Yet another false memory.))

I go to the office and find a bunch of band students playing jingle bells very unenthusiastically to a tall, official looking lady. They finish as I enter the room, and she claps happily. I hesitantly approach the lady. "Um, I don't know if you're the right person to ask for this... What is my new locker number?"

"You're number 18," she says cheerily, without even looking at a list. "I placed you myself. See, we try to position everyone based on their abilities."

"Okay... 18. Thanks." How does she know who I am? What abilities? I mull the question over and walk out the wrong door. I get it right on my second try. "Great," I say to myself, embarrassed, "I definitely have 'special' abilities, alright."

At that point I "wake up" in my car, pouring sweat. Ugh it's so hot in here... I look around and note that I'm in the student parking lot. Weird... I don't think we even have school today. Was I sleep driving? I'd better call my mom and let her know where....

My thoughts trail off as I RC and become lucid. All worries assuaged, I observe my surroundings. It is sunny, and though the parking lot is empty, there are people walking everywhere. I happily get out of the car and decide to go on a walk. No telling what might develop along the way.

It isn't long before I come upon a gang of boys who are playing with a yoyo. The youngest (who is about 10) accidentally slams it on the ground and breaks it. "Oh no," he moans. "If Carlos finds out about this, he'll kill all of us." I notice what is in my hand at the same time they do. One of those rubber yoyo's with the flashing lights inside of it. Well, then...

I break into a run, and they all jump on motorcycles and come after me. I'm fast, but they're faster. I make it to a bridge several miles from my house before they catch up with me. Well, I gave them a chance. They chose not to take it.

With an evil grin, I leap into the air just before the bikes would have run me over. They skid to a halt and glare up at me, unfazed by my unnatural performance. I am suddenly hurdling through the air directly at the largest gang member. My foot slams into his chest with enough force to knock him off the bridge to his death. NOW they look appropriately frightened. I make short work of the others. Now only the youngest is left. I do not intend to kill him at first, but then he holds one of his dead comrades in front of him as a shield. This angers me. "Stupid street punk!" I yell as I beat the life out of him.

      3- Playing with Energy
I am listening in to the Elders' meeting without their knowledge.

"What? The youngest son of the Uria clan has run off?"

"He is a disgrace to his family."

      "What of the eldest?"

"Her position in this matter is unknown. When asked about it, she merely said, 'These things happen.'"

I roll my eyes and place the headphones back on the table. Stupid old bags. Is it really so difficult to understand why my brother ran off?

My uncle walks in the room, and I look as innocent and meek as possible as he goes into his usual speech of upholding the family values, blah blah blah, and I'd better not end up like my "wretch of a brother."

At this point, I RC and become lucid, exiting the role of this Uria character.

I go to the back door and walk outside, thinking about the Queen (yet again) and wondering if I should try to contact her. I am still contemplating this when I look up and notice Sadie sitting nearby with two other cats. One of them seems to be massaging the other's shoulders. At first they look similar to cats I'd previously owned, but then they change slightly and I no longer recognize them.

The one who had been getting the massage runs over to me and bites my hand affectionately. I pet her and ask her what her name is. No answer. "Come on, you can tell me." She still doesn't answer. I look at her black and white companion. "Hey, cat. I know that's not your name, so speak and tell me what it is." No answer. "Sadie?" Sadie turns up her tail and ignores me. "Hmph. Fine, be that way." I ask the cat that I'm petting one more time what her name is, and I hear my stepdad's voice behind me say "Betty."

      "Betty?"

      "Yeah, that's her name."

He and my brother walk up and start horseplaying. I notice that whenever my brother goes to throw a punch, I can see his energy fly from his hand and hit Chris before the physical impact. "That's interesting," I say. Chris takes some of Steven's energy in his hand and forms it into a ball, then throws it at me. "Ow!" That really hurt. He throws another one, but this time I catch it and examine it closely. I let my own energy flow into it; the ball goes from being clear to swirling with black and purple energy. "Interesting," I say again. I throw the ball at Chris. At first it sticks to my hand and absorbs back into me, but I make a new ball of my own and throw it. I have terrible aim; it lands several feet away and creates a mini explosion.

I notice it's getting dark out, which is a good indication that the dream is getting unstable.
I wake up before I can do anything about it.

      4- Canoeing
I am watching from above as PJ and a few other people are canoeing in a beautiful wide river surrounded by an evergreen forest. The dream tells me that this is in Detroit, Michigan or maybe Delaware, I can't remember which. I know it started with a D.

"Each time we face our fear, we gain strength, courage, and confidence in the doing."

I was at my school, and I was carrying my baby cousin. She was having a fit and completely freaking out, so I put her in her stroller.
      Time skip.
I was in a hallway at the school, and my mother was there. She told me to go outside to the car to assist my father with carrying some things. I had my sweater on, so I knew I'd be warm enough. I walked over to the doors and was about to go outside to the parking lot, when I realized that I didn't have my shoes. I went back to where my mother was to get them, but she began to scold me for not helping, claiming that everything had been brought inside already. I angrily put on my shoes and went outside. I jumped on the ground and slid on the ice on my belly. It was jolly good fun, but I stopped because I didn't want to dirty my sweater.
I walked over to the car where my father was working on his computer. I began talking to him though the window.
"Can I help carry anything?" I asked. I noticed some gross-looking bugs on the outside of the car.
"Everything has been brought in except a couple things that Ill get."
      "I'll carry them."
      "Why?"
"Well, because I didn't help out earlier and I desired to make reparations for my lack of assistance, and THAT BUG IS CREEPING ME OUT!"
On the car was an ant and a "tomato spider," as I called it (see image below). They both had a bunch of little white grub-like things attached to them, parasites I expected. The ant was big, but worse was the tomato spider. It had a gross red body and long legs, and a fuzzy tail. It fell off the car and I jumped back. I began to stomp on it, but every time I tried to kill it, it didn't die. I stomped again and again, but it still lived.
I went into panic mode. I was freaking out. I hate bugs, and they are one of my biggest fears. I began to flail, and I almost hit a nice young lady in my panic. My father kept telling me to calm down, but I just couldn't. Now while that damn spider still lived. I stomped again, and again, and again. Finally, I threw a napkin on it and stomped again
      . Finally, I woke up.
This one scared the feces out of me. I am so afraid of bugs, for no reason. I think this one counted as more of a nightmare than the last one, because while roaches are just gross, big red spiders are frightening.

This thing is awful. Actual size.

    12. Projects, Toilets, and a Cockroach

by , 01-12-2011 at 05:40 PM (From the Drowsy Mind of a Mouse)
"How little it takes to make life unbearable: a pebble in the shoe, a cockroach in the spaghetti, a woman's laugh"
      Henry Louis Mencken

I have an important project that I will be presenting at my school, and it's not done yet, even though it's due relatively soon. It's a Powerpoint presentation. I think that this is enough background information.
I was in the south-east wing of my school, almost ready to do my project, when I noticed that I didn't even finish it. I'm so silly sometimes.
I went to the east wing to go to the computer room and finish the project. Time skip and I finish.
I didn't notice the skip. I need to take not of when this happens in real life. Wait... I headed back to the south-east wing, almost went into the classroom to present, when I walked away because I had to urinate.
I was walking back towards the east wing when that loathsome female gym teacher stopped me and asked for my pass. So I took my universal hall pass out of my wallet
(the good kids like me get those sort of things) and showed it to her. She asked if I had a normal one, and I said no. So she just met me on my way. Whatever.
I went to the bathroom and was appalled to see how filthy it was! Just kidding, it's like that in real life. Fine, it was a little bit more dirty in my dream, but whatever. All the urinals were taken, but thankfully there was an open stall. I dropped my messenger bag
(IRL, my messenger bag was broken and I had been using a backpack. I should have noticed this) and peed, but kept seeing a cockroach out of the corner of my eye. When I finished, I found the roach under my bag, so I kicked it away. I began frantically trying to stomp it to death, but it kept slipping from under my shoe.
Eventually I went into my fear-of-bugs panic mode, so I put my hood over my head and packed up my bag.
      Then I awoke.

    13. Two Dreams, One Fragment and Lucid in One Night! My First Lucid!

by , 01-11-2011 at 09:43 PM (The Mailman's Lounge: A Rest Stop for Dreams)

      Normal Dream Lucid Dream Side-Notes
      ------------------------------------------------------------
(I'm not sure if these dreams, are all connected or if they are separate. I'm just guessing.)
      Fragment:
I'm in my house and my cousin is living with us again. (He use to live with us, but then he moved out.) We're actually getting along.
Dream 1: I'm a superhero fighting a monster. I know it's my responsibility but I keep leaving to watch Avatar. (I don't know why I left because in the dream it was recording on our DVR. Also, I went back and forth lots and lots of times so this part of the dream was pretty long.) Then the scene changed and my mom, sister and I are driving in a car. We go down a one-way road that is blocked and continue through the detour. The workers say the detour isn't finished being built and we have to go back through the one-way road. Going back up is uphill and since I'm the guy I have to push our car up the hill. We make it home and watch a movie.(Not Avatar)
Dream 2: My mom wants a locker, like the ones in my school. I take her to school and as I'm showing her my locker my Spanish teacher comes up says stuff.(I forget what she says.) Then some other teacher comes up and says more stuff. The scene changes to a play. My family and I are in the back. We start talking about dreams.
Dream 3: I was a library trying to meet a guy that is a master at lucid dreaming. I decide to reality check and realize I am dreaming. The dream gets blurry. I Lick the bookshelf to stabilize the dream, it gets really clear. The guy told me to make it brighter. I tried using verbal commands but it only worked a little bit. My alarm woke me up.
      ------------------------------------------------------------
      Side-Notes:
*This was my first real lucid, I'm so happy.
*It probably would of lasted longer if it wasn't for my alarm.
*Next time hopefully my lucid comes earlier in the night.
    14. 0/3 Sat: Fragments

by , 01-10-2011 at 12:23 AM (One Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy)
I'm still sick so I've been less diligent about taking notes. On the flip side, I'm getting a bit better at remembering dreams without notes.

      Waves
Something about oceans waves. I think I'm discussing the science of waves with my sister. And the difference between waves and tides. Or something.

      fragment
I know there was a dream in here. Maybe something about my sister.

      Summer School
Why is this a recurring dream theme for me? I never took summer classes in my life. I've returned to my mother's house for the summer and I am attending classes in my old high school. I only have two changes of clothes, so I wear them over and over again. I am in a classroom with many of my high school classmates and my high school US history teacher. We are all seated at computers like a computer lab. I am and the end of the back row, at the farthest point in the room from the teacher. I'm trying to change the desktop background on my computer.

Then I am back at my mother's house, looking at my clothes in the closet. I think to go back to my apartment downtown for the weekend so I can pick up so more clothes and collect the mail.
    15. trying to remember dreams

      by , 01-09-2011 at 09:51 PM
Today i had 2 lucid dreams, as soon as i woke up i wrote some words to remember them.

I can't remember a lot of things like "what reality check did i used ?" so i will only write what i can remember (mostly the lucid part)

      1) I was at some relative's house and i found a weird object, it was like this thing http://tinyurl.com/25oznvo
but it seemed old, like a steampunk thing. it worked with voice commands, i used it to fly and for some reason to make bubbles.

this dream wasn't really long, it started to fade and i rub my hands while i was spinning... it kind of worked, the dream faded but i was still lucid. i was surrounded by darkness and i tried shouting "increase lucity" it didn't worked so i said "oh what the hell, take me home" and then another dream started.

      2) I was in a gift shop with my brother when i recovered lucity, i told him to slap my face (for more lucity) and he didn't so i did it myself, i saw an action figure of dragon ball so i looked back at my brother and i started to make a "kame hame ha" to him, i felt like my real body also shouted "HA!!!!!!!!!!!"

that's how the second one ends.

I woke up in a class room, we were watching an old film and the teacher said "see you tomorrow guys" and i woke up.

I remember other things when i was lucid but unaware:

      1) torchwood using weevils as slaves in an old factory (maybe because i watched doctor who before i went to sleep?)
      2) some narrartive scene like the beginning of a movie

anyway, let me know what you think.
