    1. Either Psychosis or a Vampire Demon

      by , 01-28-2011 at 01:51 AM (Zukin's Dream Journal! <3)
I was at a TSO concert in a large room with no seats. I was sitting on a stair case with a few other people. There was barely anyone there. Their music sounded strange, I have heard it before, but not in real life. Maybe I have heard it before in another dream.

There was a man staring at me. He was creepy acting, but good looking. He had short black hair and looked to be a little older than me. He was probably around 19. His eyes were a little red in the corners.

He kept staring, so I eventually just decided to leave. My friends followed. We thought about chilling out at a book store or something.

We were in a fancy city. In the middle I remember clearly a fountain. I sensed someone else and looked behind me. He was there, staring again. He started walking towards me.

"What are you staring at?" One of my friends asked. I tried not to look suspicious.

"That man, behind us, he is staring like a stalker," I whispered back. They looked behind.

"There is no one there," they claimed. They exchanged worried looks within their group.

That man kept approaching, so I decided to try and walk away. But he continued to follow.

So I ran. And he freaking teleported.

"What are you running from??" My friends continuously asked. They couldn't see him.

There was no escape from this man. I would have to talk to him. I finally let him approach me.

I was in the middle of the city, next to the fountain. To the left of us was a large mirror for decoration.

As he approached I noticed something very strange:

If I looked at him, I could not see his reflection in the mirror in my peripheral vision.

If I looked at the mirror, I could not see him in my peripheral vision.

It was an either-or, but he could not exist in both "realities" at the same time. This was very frightening to me. Looking back on it, I hadn't realized it then, but it reminds me of how, according to myth, vampires do not have reflection. And, according to culture, you usually see a ghost in the mirror but when you turn around they are no longer there. He was doing both.

He talked to me (my friends more worried than ever that I was losing it), and absolutely insisted that I come to his "realm". He told me that he was similar to a vampire/demon. As he said the word realm I felt a shiver of cold and being trapped. I refused to go.

      NON-DREAM NON-LUCID LUCID
      [False Awakening]
I toss and turn and cant seem to fall back asleep, so I get up and turn on the computer. A quick look outside tells me that it is about 4:00PM. I click a few of my favorite websites browsing my favorite sites and check my email, and my computer screen starts bugging out. It won't let me type or click on anything, rendering it as useful as a brick. An idea snaps in my mind that I'm may be dreaming, and I do a reality check. Yep, it passed, and I became lucid. The computer screen went back to normal, and I thought about the tasks I should do. I look up and an Enterprise-like starship is at a low altitude in the sky. Maybe I should check up there... I thought, so I walked away from the computer to open a portal. Might as well kill two birds with one stone, so I fell backward to stabilize the dream and transport to the ship. I felt myself rising upward into the sky, but quickly lost altitude. I woke up in my bed, ticked that I failed. I couldn't really fall back asleep.

      Method DILD (false awakening)
      Lucidity C
      Vividness B
      Control B
0623: Start with a false awakening and I become lucid very quickly. I'm in my own room. It's dark and still. I am a bit frightened. I get out of bed and fall toward the far wall as it gravity is going sideways. Up against the wall, I think to leave this room and go to a more pleasant scene. I visualize walking out the door to be joined by my friends having fun. Gravity now seems to be normal. I turn to the door and see light through the crack. This makes me hopeful. I walk confidently through the door.

On the other side is my living room, just like my real apartment. But it's light and pleasant here. Two young kids are running around the room having fun. I don't recognize them but I am friendly toward them. "Hi, I'm so glad you guys are here!" I walk up to one of the boys and stoop down. "Hey have you seen my girlfriend? Why don't you go look for her in the hallway. The kid runs out the front door. I look around the room and notice the strange wallpaper. It's bright yellow background with brightly colored patterns. Maybe plaid. I walk toward the front door and peek outside. I see the kid with two other people. One is S from work. The other is a short middle-aged woman that looks a bit like my mother but is unfamiliar.

I am pleasantly surprised to see S, considering I spent a long lucid dream a few months ago trying and failing to summon her. She looks a bit strange, like she just woke up. Her hair is messy and her face is rough without makeup. But it's definitely her. I kiss her a few times, gentle pecks on the lips. I welcome everyone in. I notice the kids still running around. I walk to the TV. "Hey, I'll turn on the XBox for you guys." I bend over and turn on the the game system, but it's actually a PS3. I think for a moment that I'm silly to make that mistake. I start to correct myself but then think, whatever, and let it go.

I turn back toward S and walk to the kitchen. There, I see a plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. "Oh my God, my favorite!" I say. I take one and take a bit. It's so soft and gooey and sticky and delicious. I turn to S and smile. She says that the old woman made them. I thank her. I beckon S to come closer so she can try one. But the dream fades.

0727: Playing soccer. I throw-in the ball from near our own goal. My team's defense sucks and the other team quickly steals the ball and scores. I get mad and attack the goalie. I knock him down. I turn to the rest of the players and they all shocked and staring, afraid of me.

False awakening and I become lucid. My room is dark. I sit up but can't move my legs. I look around and fixate on the door. I remember the previous dream and how I got out by using the door. Then I look at my hands and rub them together. I alternate between looking at the door and my hands. I'm trying to inching along the bed but I don't seem to be getting any closer.

I think to summon someone to walk through the door. I look at the door and become distracted by what looks like a mirror hanging on the door. It's about the size of a sheet of paper and it's hanging just about a foot off the ground. In front of the door, there seems to be a video camera on a short tripod. Also just about a foot off the ground. The camera is pointed toward the mirror and there's a dim spot light shining. I think, what the heck is that?. Dream fades from my confusion.

      Football Fragment
1016: I'm a football player in the middle of a game. I'm playing tailback. The quarterback hands the ball off to me and I run left and dive over the line to the goal. It's very vivid and exciting.

      fragment
1048: Something about using a computer to erase memories of dreams. But you can't erase dreams with you are dreaming of while you are accessing the memory of the dream, so you have to be thinking of something else.
    5. 1/1 Sun: Hot Tub Revisited

by , 11-29-2010 at 10:28 PM (One Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy)
Had other dreams but didn't write them down because I was focusing on the WILD.

Edit: I now recall more of dream before the incubated scene.

      Flying, Teleporting, Hot Tub Revisited
      Method WILD
      Lucidity C
      Vividness B
      Control B
Once again, I visualize the hot tub scene. I plan to return to this scene several times as I practice my first few WILDs. It's such a vivid memory for me. I visualize being in a friend's backyard a few steps from their hot tub. It's a party with a bunch of high school friends but mostly I am focused on the two girls in the hot tub who waiting for me. I concentrate on the blueness of the water and the silhouettes of the two people sitting in the hot tub.

I transition into dreaming but I am not in the incubated scene. I am outside and it is very dark. I think I am in an alley surrounded by tall buildings. I start flying to figure out where I am. I slowly float up above the buildings and see the cityscape around me. It's still almost pitch black. I see the outline of buildings as faint silver lines. I also see a few spots of color of neon signs. I practice flying a bit. I try to fly standing upright instead of laying out with my arms stretched, Superman-style. I don't see any people or movement so it feels kinda lonely. I practice throwing fireballs and sonic booms. They seem dim and silvery, like the outlines of the buildings.

Now I look upward, hoping to see stars or the moon. But there is just empty blackness. This disorients me and, when I look down again, the city is gone and I am surrounded by blackness. It's not scary though. I think to just fly to a new scene. I recall my visualization of the blueness of the hot tub. I think of that and start flying forward. Soon it seems I am going through a tunnel with the scene at the other end.

Then tada! I am there, in my incubated scene. It's still dark of night, but somewhat lit. It seems to be lit by some of those tiki torch things that people put in their yards. Once again, it's my own backyard instead of the girl's who is hosting the party. I look at my hands. The fingers on the right hand are long and distorted. Cool. I step down into the hot tub and sit between the two girls. I look to the one on my right, Sara. I put my arms around her and appreciate how real she feels. I look at her face. She gives me a big smile. She actually looks like someone else that I recognize, not Sara. I start to turn to look at the other girl but my body goes stiff. I try to look at my hands but the dream quickly fades.
Tried to DEILD but no luck this time.

    6. 2/4 Sat: My Most Interesting Lucid Yet

by , 10-04-2010 at 02:29 AM (One Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy)
Drank some beer last evening so no recall until the second half of the night, but wow what a night.

      Freaky Room
0652: C. I'm laying in a bed at one end of a long room. It's almost pitch dark. I can just make out the silhouette of some bedroom furniture and I sense there is a doorway at the far end of the room. A creepy little girl is running around the room. Her face glows like a dim candle. As she gets near me I'm a little frightened. Maybe I'm a little lucid because I tell myself this is just a dream and I should just stay calm and watch. The girl giggles and says "Come, you should see!" And then she exits the room through the door. I still haven't moved. Then I see a large man sitting at the far end of the room. His face is also glowing dimly. He stands up and slowly walks toward me at a zombie's pace. As he gets close, he stretches one arm out toward me as if he intends to grab me. I'm afraid and turn away, still laying in the bed. Dream fades.

      Bridgette?
0733: C. I'm in a dark room. Seems like a bedroom. There's some light coming through a door near me that leads to a hallway. I think I'm looking for something in a dresser. A girl walks in and asks for my help. At first, she seems to be Bridgette, a very attractive coworker IWL. She's talking about a forum post about collecting all the images from the game loading screens. She's holding a piece of paper and she wants me to burn it for her. I tell her this is a dream. Again, maybe I'm a little lucid but the vividness and control are low. She says, "Oh, I'm dreaming with you?" I get a closer look and she looks Asian, which Bridgette is not. I say, "Yeah, help me take of my shirt." She does but as the shirt lifts over my head it blocks out my vision and the dream ends abruptly.

      Kiting Sleep
0830: D. For about 30 minutes, I'm drifting in and out of sleep, false awakenings, wake, and hallucinations. Here's a bunch of fragments, I'm not sure which was which. I'm calling this "kiting" for lack of a known term. Some fragments were lucid, so I'm counting this as one lucid dream.

Watching two people play chess. The person playing white is making illegal moves but no one else notices and I don't say anything.

FA in my own bedroom. I hear music coming from my computer. It's not supposed to be on. I recognize the artist is Jimmy Eat World.

Riding in a car with my father driving. It's his old pickup truck. We are exiting a covered parking lot. Maybe a sports stadium. He's arguing something. I say this is a dream and I'm just going to fly away to avoid him. I try to jump through the roof of the car but fail.

I'm at a store paying for something. I pull out a black Visa card. Supposedly it's a "Visa HILL" card and it's very hard to get so I must be a VIP customer. The cashier is impressed.

      My underwear is on backwards.

      Sisyphus in Wonderland, Dream Guide?!
0930 A! This was an incredibly weird and memorable lucid dream. It's much more fantasy and strangeness then my average dreams.

FA. I'm in a bedroom. It's mostly dark. The room is arranged a bit like my real room. But there is a TV mounted on the far wall where there shouldn't be. I become lucid early on but my control is poor at the beginning. My father is in the room and we're arguing again. I'm so sick of this recurring theme with my father. I'm aware in the dream that I've already been through this on same night. I tune him out and think what I want to do now that I'm lucid and have some control.

I get outside somehow. It's night outside in a residential neighborhood. But the houses and trees are all cartoonish colors. The trees are purple and blue. The houses are crazy colors like yellow and red. It looks like something out of Dr. Seuss or Alice in Wonderland. But since it's dark, the bright colors aren't as noticeable and it seems somewhat realistic. The street is dimly lit with street lamps and moonlight. I walk in the middle of the street to the corner of the block, still upset and without a plan. At the corner, there is a building that looks like a drive-thru fast-food restaurant. On top of the building is a big neon sign styled in black and white with a font like Corner Bakery. The sign reads "difficulty, inc." which I think is kinda funny.

My father is following me and we start fighting with our bare hands. I try to fly away but he can fly too. My flying sucks today. I can hover fine but I can only thrust by pushing off things for short distances. We're still wrestling in the air and through the neighborhood. After a minute or two I am fed up and just try to fly away. The dream starts to feel unstable. I land next to a brick building with vines growing on the walls. I feel the vines and brick to get some sensory stability. But I still wake up.

I try to DEILD. I'm imagining the same scene, trying to re-enter. I'm about to give up, but I hear my father's voice describing the scene. He says things like "brick wall, restaurant down the street, grassy lawn" and this helps me get back into the scene. As soon as I'm back, I'm fighting with him again. But now I'm just walking away, trying to ignore him. When he gets close, I push him a way and continue walking. I don't want to waste any more of my lucid dream on him so I start spinning to teleport away. I try so hard that I wake up and turn my physical neck. At least I think I was awake. I'm in my bed and stop moving my head.

I try to DEILD again. Again, about 20 seconds pass and I'm about to give up. I'm about to switch to recalling earlier parts of the dream for my journal. But I suddenly feel like I'm going through a tunnel. I'm back in the dream. The edges of the tunnel turn into leaves and I find myself hiding in a bush peeking out through a hole in the leaves. It seems like time is going really fast around me for a few seconds. The tree leaves are rustling and street lamps are twinkling really fast like time-lapse photography. Things slow down to normal. I'm in the same dark cartoonish neighborhood but a different area. I'm in the middle of the quiet street. My father is gone and I'm in the deep in middle of the block where there are just houses, no restaurants or retail buildings.

Phew. Ok. Now, what to do? I start walking down the middle of the street, looking at the crazy colored trees and gingerbread houses. I see an old lady outside. I walk toward her but she enters her front door. I think of Mother Goose. I keep walking and start to see the end of the block in the distance. I see a paint store far off across the intersection that advertises two kinds of paint: "DRIED" and "WET". I think that's pretty funny and congratulate my subconscious for the joke.

Then a short goat-man jumps out at me from the shadow of the trees to my right. I'm startled but he quickly seems friendly. He's about 4 feet tall with goat legs and yellowish-brown fur. I guess he must be Pan from Greek mythology. He asks me what I'm doing. I remember my plan, I'm going to practice teleporting by spinning or opening doors. He says, "Cool! I'll try too!" And he starts spinning like a playful child. I start spinning as fast as I can. The world becomes a blur and unrecognizable. I slow down my I'm still in the same place in the same scene. Hmm, didn't work.

Another character approaches Pan and me. I don't get a good look at him, but I sense he is friendly and familiar. He says, "There's a portal in the boat" and points toward the nearest house.
Later, recalling the dream, I think that maybe this character might have been my Dream Guide! I still don't recall what he looked like. Somehow though, I was left with three separate vague impressions: A man-size yellow dinosaur (think Barney), Homestar Runner, and Ronald McDonald. I lead the way as the three of us walk up to the house he pointed out. It's yellow with red trim. It looks like a life-size gingerbread house or a cartoonish McDonald's. The front door is only about 3 feet high and I get a strong Alice in Wonderland feeling.

I'm puzzled. This is a house, not a boat. There's a lunchbox next to the front door. I bend over to look at it. "Is this what I'm looking for?" No, I sense my DG gesturing into the house. I look in a window where I can see through to the backyard. I stoop down and we all walk through the small house to the backyard. In the middle of a small patch of grass, there's an inflatable kiddie pool with a plastic toy boat floating. Okay, this must be the boat but where's the portal and how I am supposed to get in such a small boat? DG says exactly what I'm thinking: "Shrink down to size." Okay, never done that before. I bend over to get a closer look at the boat and see a USB port on it with some text printed under it. I squint to read the words.
My alarm goes off and wakes me up.

I skipped the last two days for reasons I won't go into, but my dreams had been increasingly vivid and close to lucidity. And now a sort of breakthrough.

      45 Minute Lucid (dild)

I woke up at 10, set me alarm and was back to sleep in a few minutes. Woke at 10:50. Lucidity weakened in some spots but I kept rediscovering lucidity, tried a few new things, my attempts at dream control were abysmal.

I saw an old man in a wheelchair fly and knew I was dreaming.

There was one scene where I get on my computer. I try to create a "Prof X" folder to see secret documents inside about his location but the computer acts too funny to use correctly. I click on a DV icon and open a chat and ask for a walk through. "Waka*blank* messages me (I don't know him, never heard of him) and we chat but he isn't helpful. I then try to slowly climb into my monitor but stuck halfway and exit.

I tried to enter my neighbors house but it never quite worked out. First, I lost vision but got it back. Then it happened again so I spun and teleported to what looked like a sort of farm with a barn. I lady peers at me from inside. A huge bull emerges. It attacked and I try to draw a sword but nothing. I grab its charging horns with my bare hands and rip them off, then stab it to death.

I explore my house, talk to my family at dinner about dreams, tell them about the earlier attempt at TV transportation attempt I enjoy a soft, flat taco. We are attacked my some gang but that part is pretty fuzzy.

Eventually I was wondering if I was ever going to wake up, I sat down and stared at my hand. I tried to zoom in on it to the atomic level but nothing really happened. I wake myself up.

So I really didn't get much accomplished.

I'll make this quick. I met this chick at Sheetz and got her number. She was in my dream.

      Teleport to Island (non-lucid)

The beginning is fuzzy. I was traveling down a long a lonesome rural road. Something happened. I had no car. There was this zipper-like 2D obstruction in space-time. Purple and blue swirling inside of it. I jumped into it.

I am teleported to some sort of tropical island.

I walk up long wooden steps and into this nice house. There is a lot of people there. It is a party. The girl invites me up to her room where some heavy romance goes on.

There are some other characters there at the party including 2 people like this:

    9. Dreaming in 2D - Forced Lesson on Dream Control

      by , 09-02-2010 at 11:30 PM (Zukin's Dream Journal! <3)
I was lucid, and I was in a dungeon with four rooms. Each room was dark, and in 2D so everything looked very strange. There was no escape from the dungeon. In each room were some items, also in 2D.

The point of the dungeon was apparently to force me to learn dream control. I wasn't sure how I knew that, but I did. The first task was to learn to move objects with my mind. I struggled for a bit before I managed to smash the car into the table. I was able to move things with my mind now! I tried to put the car on top of the table, but the 2D view wouldn't allow that and it looked very odd.

The next task was to learn to use magic. That was easier. I used a yellow spell against an opponent.

I was alone in the dungeon after that, and 3D was trying to overcome the 2D view. In front of me was a TV. It was sort of creepy looking in the dark. It was an old analog TV. I flipped through the stations. Because a lot of the dream was in 2D much of the channels were showing cartoons from my childhood. I found a news station and tried to put my hand through the screen. I was teleported inside the TV and found myself INSIDE of a Spongebob cartoon!!!

Two characters that looked like this were jumping up and down in their living rooms cheering at the television. I was back in 2D land which was really annoying. Dreaming in a cartoon. I reached inside their television to try to get somewhere else but I think I just teleported back to the dungeon.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      Dream: Tearing it Down
      ★★★☆☆
There has been a recent strand of some kind of white powdery substance circulating the streets. People who take it are usually never heard from again. As it turns out, this stuff makes anyone into a demi-vampire whose uncontrollable transformation turns the unfortunate soul into a young girl (age ranging from the late teens to early twenties).

After unwillingly becoming one of these beings, I partake in some shenanigans whilst transformed, seducing an 'important' person in my old church, only revealing my true intent once I had gotten him into his car. He ran screaming, to my delight.

Afterwards, I'm conscripted by two true vampires and a small band of demis who reveal to me, along a tropical stone beach, the source of the white powder. Lining the ocean-side, as far as the eye can see, are oil-rig-like structures pounding the ground into a fine, magic dust and releasing pillars of smoky pollutants into the atmosphere.

We destroy everything, sparing no one.

Lucid Dream: Taking a Bite Out of Crime
      ★★★☆☆
      Ridiculous people are being ridiculous.

Their ridiculousity triggers my lucidity, but everything is super hazy. I stabilize by grabbing something extra weird and purpley and then chomping down on it with mine mouth teeths. The rush of sensations is enough to pull me into the dream, and solidify my control.

I'm outside on a town street. Various shops and other places of interest frame the sidewalk. Some cars pass by on the intersecting street up ahead, but the few cars on this street, including one puke-green PT Cruiser, are parked in a parallel fashion.

Naiya shows up out of nowhere and we immediately stop a criminal using basic dream powers like TK, or something. After that, we hang out for a bit before I let myself wake up.

Really wish I could remember more of this one. =/

Fragments: Do You Remember That One Time At Band Camp?
      ★☆☆☆☆
Several fragments of me seeing Naiya in what I believed to be RL, and asking her about the dream from before, go here.

      Dream: Into the Stratos!
      ★★★★☆
I have the pleasure of being pre-Shippuden Naruto and joining all the needless drama going on with Sakura. She gets upset and runs off, just before some bad dude comes and stops the squad from leaving. Sosuke tries to leave by fighting his way out, but gets put in his place quite handily.

Switching perspectives, I'm now myself, hanging out in tall grass for gods know what reason. But no matter, it's time. . .

Teleporting to the meeting location, I find Sakura standing there, wiping her face. I ask if she's ready to go; she nods. Taking her arm, I teleport to the next target. The kid--he couldn't be older than ten--sees me and waves. I motion to him and we all begin to run toward the ship. By now, they'd be looking for us.

Time was short, so I decided we needed to move faster. And what's faster than teleportation? Pulling the three of us together, I instantly transport everyone to my space cruiser. We get inside, I take the controls, and we take off.

Unfortunately, I have a lot of trouble getting the damn thing out of the atmosphere. I waste a lot of fuel, and burn out most of the ships engines, before switching to auto-pilot. At that point, I have to actually fuel the ship with my lifeforce in order to keep us all from plummeting to our deaths.

Now well on our way, but with me on the verge of death, Sakura is kind enough to transfer some of her life energy in order to keep me alive. But not until I ask nicely.

      Dream: Adventure Time!
      ★★☆☆☆
Flying over Africa, I can't wait to explore the vast and exotic stretches of water below me. There were small basins, large bayous, medium sized lakes. So many environments to adventure through!

      And adventure I did.

    11. 07/03/10 System Failure

by , 07-05-2010 at 11:16 PM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
I was at home sitting on the couch in my living room. I was drawing up something for my school project. Concept art. I didn't like how it was turning out at all. I decided to take a break. On a hunch I did a RC… and found out I was dreaming! Awesome, a spontaneous RC leading to lucidity!

Now that I was lucid, I decided to do something with the dream. I went out on the front porch and jumped off, flying for a short distance before landing, I took off again and flew some more. I was trying to think where I wanted to go. I would just let my subconscious guide me to where I need to be. I tried to open a portal… nothing. I did an additional RC to be sure I was dreaming. I was. Hmmm… maybe I did need a destination. I wondered where I could go. I thought I would drop in on MoSh. We didn't have anything planned, but I could still drop in. I tried again to open a portal. Nothing. Damn… this was getting annoying… I landed on the ground to think for a few minutes. I found myself confirming that I was in a dream state by pinching my nose and breathing. Still dreaming, still lucid… So what was going on?! I decided to go to the moon. I focused on opening a portal to the biodome. I focused as much as I could… nothing. Wow… this could really suck.

I went back into the house to think a bit. I did another RC just to be sure I really was in the dream state… and I found out I was definitely dreaming. So why couldn't I open a portal? I could fly… I got another idea. I went to a closed door to my bedroom. I stood there beside the door and visualized it as leading to the biocome, picturing the green trees and grass around the koi pond. When I got the vision as clear as I could I opened the door… fail. All I saw on the other side of the door was my own messy room. Crap!

I went back outside as I tried to think of what else to try. I wondered if this could be another Templar trick… the Templars had nullified my powers again somehow… did that mean they were lurking in the area with some horrible torture all prepared for me? I looked around quickly but I didn't see anyone. I was alone in the desert. I pushed thoughts of the Templars out of my mind. Getting paranoid would do no good. I looked into the sky and I saw the moon up there.

Ok… so I would just fly to the moon. That seems like the hard way to get there, but if it was the only way I'd make it, I would definitely try.

I took off flying again. I flew towards the moon, straight up… but I couldn't really get anywhere… I could hover and fly a bit, but I couldn't get very far off of the ground. Wtf? Damn! This was so frustrating! I kept trying to fly until the frustration of it all finally woke me up.

      Teleporting is hard.

I'm standing by a river. The sky is bright blue, and the dry grass is long and yellow. I'm looking up at the sky, staring at an illusion that's some kind of sculpture, a clue into my quest during this dream. (This was a long and meandering dream, but I don't remember most of it.

I'm the producer for a play. It's going well, but during the middle of it, Harley Quinn and the Joker show up and start dancing. The crowd cheers, and I'm not sure if this is part of the play or if the characters actually showed up.

"Write as if it was my plan all along." - written in journal

There's a parkour club in Quickton. I tag along.

      ---

I'm Harry Potter, fighting Voldemort. He sends me into an alternate dimension, and I have to get back to my friends. There are death eaters in the buildings around us, raining down stunning spells as if they're snipers. "If you get hit seven times, you're dead," says my companion. I deliberately get hit by stunning spells, counting, and they send me back to the previous dream.

The windows are leaking. We have to stop it because the magic could get in. We're holding the building against Voldemort, but it's going to be destroyed soon anyway, so we do a quick job. Hermione staples stucco wire under the windows, and I use an air nailer to keep the frame in place. The way that I'm holding it in the dream would probably break my hand IWL.

I'm either Harry or Voldemort, fighting the other one. "Expelliarmus! Expelliarmus! Expelliarmus!" I shout, matching the other character spell for spell, effectively blocking them. I realize I'm probably Voldemort. "Avada Kedavra!" Seriously, these spells are kind of hard to remember.

      ---

One of Ben's friends, a guy my age, is pissed because I just told him off for something. He throws a few punches my way, but always misses. He attacks me in earnest, throwing punches hard and fast. I block them easily, redirecting them in circles. One punch hits me, but I barely feel it. The guy is getting more and more frustrated.

Finally, my brother pulls him off me, and we go rob a grocery store.

      ---

FA. I wake up in a house that resembles my rental in Squamish. Ben and my cousin Reg are in the basement. I look at my right hand and count my fingers. They're blurry, and my fourth and fifth fingers keep fading into one another. Weird. This doesn't feel like a dream. I try to remember a more dependable RC, and pinch my nose. I can still breathe, but shouldn't I be able to anyway? No, wait. I have my mouth closed. I really am dreaming. I wonder if the boys are gonna go all nightmarish on me.

I think back to my lucid goals. 1) Talk to a DC on a phone. 2) Find Hazel. 3) Teleport. I go to pick up the landline, but change my mind and grab my cell phone beside my bed. I call someone; I don't remember who. I talk to them and hang up. I type into my contacts for Hazel, but the number isn't there. I phone information, ask for Hazel. The woman on the other end tells me crabbily that there are a lot of Hazels in the world, which one do I want?

      "The one from DreamViews, obviously."

"This number is not in service."

It's night outside. My mom is sitting in the car, apparently waiting for Ben. She has some weird emo-style haircut, and I'd be more weirded out if I didn't know this was a dream. I use telekinesis to lift up the fringe over her eye, checking for zombieness. Obviously, I'm not completely lucid. Ben leaves the house, catches a ride with my mom.

Reg is still here. I have my hand outstretched, focusing on wherever Hazel might be. I'm trying to draw myself there so I can teleport. I turn around briefly.

"How do I teleport?" I ask the DC.

"How the hell should I know?" asks Reg. He pauses and sighs, "Just... stay like that for a while. Until you wake up."

      "Or it works?"

      "Like hell."

The dream starts fading into different solid colours, and I wake up back in the Squamish-room.

I hand check again. Most of my fingers are missing. I pinch my nose. Still dreaming.

I go outside and there are a bunch of dogs on the porch. There are also a bunch of people talking about their pets.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm attending some kind of school function in the auditorium. It hasn't started yet, but the guest of the evening is everyone's favorite Emperor, Darth Lord Sidious. It's up to me to bring him down.

First thing's first, I need to eliminate the prisoner who know's I'm coming. Unfortunately, he'll be well guarded, so I need an alternative means of entry. Spotting a bathroom next to the room they're keeping him in, I nonchalantly enter it, lock the door behind me, and push my way through the ceiling tiles. There's still a brick wall in my path, but that gives way when I apply some pressure.

Looking through a slit in the ceiling tiles, I sneak behind the metal cage the Rebel prisoner is in, pull out my silenced USP and solemnly unload a few rounds into the back of his head, dropping him to the floor. The guard hears what's up, and turns around. It's too bad I've already got him in a lock at this point. He tries to shout for help, but I cover his mouth with my hand right before snapping his neck.

Next on the to-do list: take out the Emperor's decoy. Using the ceiling, I make my way to the back of the auditorium. I toggle on Invisibility and Fly and fly down to the stage, where the Emperor and his decoy are speaking. The decoy has to go get ready for the presentation, so the two of them part ways. While it's tempting to simply take out the Emperor here and now, I know that I need to kill the other guy first. Quickly and quietly, I follow the decoy to a rear exit which eventually leads to the secondary guest quarters. Before the door can close, locking me out, I Teleport into the hallway. Now it's just him, me, and my silenced pistol.

As he enters his large and ornate quarters, I pull out my pistol, turn off invisibility, and fire. Somehow ready for me, he dodges to the side and runs off behind a large golden fountain. Flying over to his hiding place, he jumps out at me, yelling maniacally at the top of his lungs. Still, it doesn't take much for me to move aside and put him in a headlock. Shoving my USP under his chin, I embed three bullets in his brain. For some reason, he refuses to die, so I'm forced to snap his neck like I did with the guard. Dropping the body, I mentally prepare to face my real target.

Bursting through the rear exit, I stare down the cause of so much pain and suffering throughout the galaxy.

"Your reign ends tonight, my lord." I spit out the last part as sarcastically as possible.

      "I beg to differ!"

At that, he takes off, into the air, gliding effortlessly to the very center of the auditorium. Keeping up, I unleash a volley of Force lightning in his direction. With a crazed sneer, he deflects it and sends his own right back at me. Erratic blue electricity begins pulsing through my body, but he can't hurt me with my own weapon. Reveling in the sensation, I absorb the energy from the bolts, storing it for use at a later time. From the crowd, two people lift off the ground and help me surround Sidious.

"Looks like you've started sooner than planned!" exclaimed the girl as she took out her blue lightsaber. Her male comrade follows suit, breaking out two green sabers.

"I don't remember calling in for backup." I state, as I watch Sidious, still sneering, remove a saber from his black cloak. "Just stay out of my way."

Sidious attacks me, lighting his red blade. I go to block, whipping out my light blue ice-saber, but the searing hot plasma cuts right through its polar opposite. Crap, I think as I jump backwards to avoid the slash. It needs more juice. Before another thought can even cross my mind, Sidious assaults me again. This time, my ice-saber, now being fueled by pure willpower, stops his cut. More than that, it begins to freeze his weapon. The two newcomers begin blasting him with force lightning from behind, preventing him from retreating as my unique weapon completely freezes his saber and hand.

Pissed right the hell off, a strange, barbed, long, sickly-tan, mutant-like tail extends from under his cloak. With it, he knocks the others to the side, breaks off his own hand, and impales me in the back. The shock is enough to make me drop my ice-saber. Sidious starts laughing, as if he's already won. Grimacing angrily, I rip my Katana from my side, empowering the blade with black and red energy. A single upward swipe is all I need to cleave his monstrous tail in two. I followed that by shoving my sword into his stomach and twisting it up though his chest.

No longer laughing, Sidious' expression changes dramatically as I watch the life fade from his eyes. Good riddance.

      Enter Walms (DILD)

My brother explodes in a puff of flame and smoke, leaving behind two flaming eyes that fizzled out after a moment or two.

      "Burmes? Is that you?"

      "Yes," states a disembodied voice.

"Oh, okay. Hey, can you help me find Walms?"

There was a pause before he replied. "Yeah, sure."

      "Cool, thank you."

I Teleport away, letting Burmes guide the new scene. I end up in an open outdoors setting with none other than Walms standing a good distance away. He turns as I make my appearance, eyeing me strangely, almost as if he were sizing me up. "It's me, Walms! Mzzkc!"

"Oh, good job on finding me. . . We can start when you like."

"Very well." I say cooly, taking a stance and drawing my Katana.

Immediately, I turn on the pressure. Teleporting close to him, but well out of arms reach, I make a quick swipe, which he readily evades. Before he can do anything else, though, I Teleport again, and make another lightning quick attack, but am foiled a second time. TP, this time he's got claws out to block my thrust and follow up with his own attack, which I deflect before TPing yet again. This goes on for a good six or seven seconds, with me TPing, attacking, and defending about three or four times each second. The attacks themselves are varied and range from basic slash and thrust combinations to much more complex sword-work. Still, neither of us can can land a hit.

Without warning, Walms launches into the air. I'm quick to follow, purposefully dropping my blade as I do. Before he can reach altitude, I start charging a Kamehameha, chanting the telltale phrase that goes along with it. Walms immediately stops, turns, and Teleports directly below me, but that's just what I wanted. Using a Time Skip, so he doesn't have a chance to react, I change it up and deliver a huge downward arcing punch that instantly makes contact (thanks to the Time Skip). He looks visibly surprised as he plummets down to earth.

"I don't have to follow what I say I'm gonna do." I taunt, playfully, before TPing below Walms and Time Skipping a huge uppercut into his gut. This time he's ready, though, and makes a grab for my arm, so I TP away from him and follow him as he shoots back up into the air from the force of my blow. He rights himself quickly enough and speedily starts closing the relatively small gap between us. I start charging a real energy blast this time, but I screw it up as Walms tries for another grab. He rebukes me, commenting on my attempts at an actual energy attack, as I avoid his assault and Flash Step away, closer to the ground.

Still moving, I start charging another energy attack, but he's on top of me without warning, and now I don't have a prayer of getting away. So, I do the next best thing and direct a blast of energy at the ground, causing a massive explosion that envelops me and blasts him away.

Unfortunately, as the light of the explosion overtakes me, I lose my hold on the dream, and enter into a FA. I quickly get up, go to my laptop, and record the events. After publishing it, Walms responds almost instantly, saying he remembers the fight, and very much enjoyed it, pointing out how good the pacing and flow was.

Looking down at her finished painting, I smiled at the stick figures it had taken her five Fast Forwards to complete. It was a rough depiction of a hilled cliff-side, and each person in the piece was crudely labeled. Well, let's see what I can do. I grab her hand.

      "Hold on tight."

      I Teleport.

The world around us spins as it fades almost instantaneous into blackness. Remembering the painting of the supposed future, I reach my other hand down into the void and feel the cool dew-covered grass that was going to be beneath us momentarily. Sure enough, we reach our destination.

Vivid blue skies with their whiter than white clouds lined the green-hilled cliff-side. In the distance, deep-blue shining oceans met the lighter colored skyline. The beauty of this place was both surprising and awe-inspiring. A little ways below us were a few of the characters from the painting, lounging on the edge of the cliff. I let go of the painter's hand, and she immediately took off.

Wanting to really bring the picture to life, I started rolling down the hill. Spinning, spinning, ever faster, alternating blue skyline and green grass--oh the wonder of it all. And then I ran out of ground.

      Shit.

As it was, my current trajectory would land me face first into some rocks protruding from the cliff-face about a hundred feet down. Not fun. Turning mid-fall, I powerfully kick off from the side of the cliff, netting me just enough distance to have nothing but air between me and the water 300 feet below. Tumbling downward, I couldn't help but think, Hitting the water at this height will be like hitting concrete.

      Thanks rationality, you're a real life-saver.

Not wanting to take the easy route out and fly away, I let myself drop, picking up speed every second. Almost at the water, I brought my feet below me, pointed my toes downward, and crossed my arms in front of my chest. Below, several groups of people were already in the ocean, enjoying the relatively calm waters. Almost there. . .

      SPLOOSH!

The sensation as my feet broke the surface and my body shot down into the refreshingly brisk water was beyond words. A blue universe surrounded me, and I didn't have a care in the world. Floating there, weightless, pumping cold liquid though my lungs, I relished the experience. I didn't want to wake up.

      So, I didn't. . .

      Not for awhile anyways. >.>
