Lucid Dreams
Failed dream stabilization in DILD I am on my way home, carrying groceries on the sidewalk of the quiet street passing by the house I live in on a cloudy day with a darker lighting of the environment suggesting that the time of day is soon to be or already is dusk. I'm not sure if my mother is with me, but she could be. Suddenly, I become lucid. It might have been a random thought about lucidity which triggered this. But I immediately start slipping out of the dream but try to rub my hands and to look at them to stabilize the dream, but I am already on the threshold of waking up, strangely controlling both my dream and real body at once, but apparently my stabilization attempt soon failed and I find myself having waken up. I got too stressed to journal again. I'll probably continue for real once summer holidays come around in nearly exactly a month. I actually chanted a mantra and used a special thought technique I can't really explain to kind of bypass the way you'd usually have this only incubate a fake lucid dream instead of actually causing awareness, and I guess it worked. It's like I went "behind" the normal thought? Only I really know what I'm talking about with that, I guess, at least I hope at least I will if I rediscover this some time. Nobody ever understood the way I explained how my brain worked. People tend to think these are metaphors, but I feel like I physically navigate my thoughts. While that's not what happens, of course, that's the input I'm getting and doing the same "movement" produces consistent results. It's weird like that. Also, I'm tired so I'm rambling about this, probably mostly as a big note to self so that I can reproduce this, since this is the first time a technique just straight up worked first try to that extent. I do wonder why the stabilization didn't work, though. And I tend to always find myself kind of "blind" in dreams, I've noticed that here as well. It's like my whole vision is covered by a blind spot, like how your thumb disappears if you move it into the right location, it makes it hard to stay in a dream. I feel like I only know some of the visual information because I just kind of know without seeing it, and that's annoying me. But I can't say reality is a whole lot different, honestly. My perception is always weirdly "blind" like that, like a very insidious form of tunnel vision. Enough rambling now. I still think this was probably the closest I've ever gotten to stabilize a lucid dream, so overall, this was a success. Good.

It all started with me doing something that I knew I couldn't do in real life or so the sense of limitlessness was the main hint for me So when I came to, I tried my usual routine of trying to stabilize I was at home ofc, and it didn't work, the dream started to fall apart, the usual "fog" started to take over That's when it randomly came, Instead of tactile I focused on visuals, the colors and the detail around me And it all came back and for the first time in my dream-life , I left my house And it tried to fall apart 2 or 3 times until I got to the streets but I did the same again, and it worked after that things got blurry for me for a minute or a half, and somehow I was at a meat factory that was supposedly in the next street I met my old friend there, he was working there, and he was younger now, looked totally different than irl, more like when we were in high school I was like "man , this is a dream ,this is not real, stop for a moment look at me, this is a dream", he was kinda suprised and a bit annoyed, as if I'm hallucinating or something then we went out, I observed the streets , it was night, the sun was about to rise, but the stars were still shining bright, I looked at the cars passing by, it was kind of vivid. That's when I woke up, after 4-5 minutes of time I bought with this trick, the fog now took over, and I felt that I have to wake up now. note: potential discovery is that focusing on the visuals around you might stabilize dreams or bring it,and yourself back from the waking process although I can't tell if that was a full dream or a very late morning hypnagogic session, it was over 10 am so I can't tell if it would work in a mid REM dream the same way also somehow I just can't seem to find the ideal time to try lucid dreaming, in teh morning, whether I wake up at 4-5-6 am, I'm just always unable to go back to sleep if I dont completely let go of myself
Jamie Just a dream where jamie is saying, " I'll always be there for you." Can't tell if she was telling me this or someone else... no context. lucid? I was lucid in a strange room. There was a circular walkway with glass like windows. Decided to teleport through the windows. I pushed my hands on the glass until it flt wstery and i kind of pushed myself through. On he other side I ws walking down a road. Lots of Elk And Moose were in this area. Two blonde women I seemed to know were behind me.
Sense of lots of dreaming, one lucid! earlier: + in partially mirrored bunker/room outdoors among wild animals (bears?), thought I was safe, but aggressive (horses? donkeys) open the doors with their mouths and swarm me + walking through museum exhibition of large electronic components, these are systems I worked on I think, I want to take my picture with one huge one, colleagues think it's not a good idea(?). The one I want to take a picture of is a standing rectangle: I see lots of computer boards, it's about 5 feet high and two tables in length. later: + arrive to parking spot, see a young man in a boy scout uniform and think I recognize my old patrol's shoulder patch, think about my son + [f] driving on freeway, a red car crowds me out of my lane from my right and I swerve left, thinking I'll probably spin out and crash, and wake up with an out loud verbal exclamation, "oh #$%^%!!" + DILD LUCIDD #264 try to get into hotel room with crumpled room key, there's a hotel employee there, I'm saying "do I need a new key?" I head to reception via the stair well, I see deceased EW coming the other way up the stairs, not strong emotion, just a thought of "what are you doing here?", at the next landing I see that there is no wall in front of me but I'm very high (100 feet or higher) above the lobby, it is a very large open volume, with people mulling around walking to and fro. I just know I can fly so I step off the platform and float, get lucid, very happy that I'm lucid, did a nose pinch and could breathe, hover there a bit, stand for a while on a wall (90 degrees to the wall), then I float down to the lobby floor
I was walking in to a restaurant and walk up to the counter. The cashier asked me what I would like and I told her I needed to use the restroom and to know where it was located. She pointed to my right and I thanked her. As I am making my way to the restroom I overhear two employees in a conversation. One had said she was in a terrible accident and said if it were okay to receive extra money on her paycheck to help pay it off. The manager told her it would be fine and that she was hope things will get better for her. This made me smile as I open the door to use it. The dream scene then change with me waking up in my father room back in my old townhouse home. I got up and notice my father walking. He ask me what was wrong and I told him I want to check on my other family members. I began walking to the living room and making my way upstairs. As I did I started to realize I shouldn't be here and that it's strange that I have awoken here. This feeling, I knew now I was lucid dreaming and made my way fully up the stairs to see my family. I open my brother's room and observe all the stuff inside. I had pick an item off his desk and said looks like my brother has done a lot in this dream. I look outside through the window and could see it was night time with a cartoon looking sky with stars. It was a nice view as I turn my attention to seeing who else was here. Once I turned around, I saw my half brother and my grandma standing in the corner. I high five both of them and greeted them. I then saw my brother and an unknown woman next to him and greeted both of them with a double high five with our hands. That's when i went to my mother room and check on her. I could see she was resting and notice I came in. I told her hello and that it was great to see her. She ask me how I was doing and I made brief conversation while reminding myself at times it's a dream. She ask me what did I mean by that but I would only tell that I have to leave soon. As I said my goodbye I went down the stairs to speak out my intention to speak to a friend who had passed away not too long ago. I told him I don't know much but if it's possible you can always visit me here and that we could talk about anything. Wished him well and while walking outside to see that it had become daylight. I woke up not too long afterwards.
Hi, guys! I've been out for some while, but I still practicing my lucid nap dreams[1] and had some little progress at the meanwhile. And today I'm gonna tell you my best WILD attempt! As a Sunday, I realized I could sleep more. So after I Woke up at the 9am to drink water, I got Back To Bed My body was really relaxed and after about 10min I wasn't feeling my body anymore, but just my head. My mind was awake and I was not having any other hallucination. I stayed in the position for more 10min to relax my mind, but I wasn't getting nowhere, so I moved without opening my eyes and slowly turned my belly down. At this position I could feel my mind relax easily. My body was out again and suddenly I started hearing a typical noise that I hear always I start to feel asleep. It's like a TV out of signal and this noise start to get louder and louder then I just heard a plunger on my ears. This repeated for 3 times in about 5min. Just don't know what is this, but it was funny hehe. Then, after the third plunger sound I was on my kitchen with a know Brazilian nun on my side. Her name is Coen nun, I'm leaving a video link from her at the bottom of this post[2]. She was guiding me on my dream and talking things like: "Calm down, you need to move slowly to not wake you up! Move only your legs first." And I moved just my legs up and down. I moved really slow because I could feel my body both on the kitchen standing and lying on my bed. So I blinked and I was lying in my bed, but I realized I was still dreaming because I saw I was with a blurry vision. I was still hearing the nun talking to me to move slowly then I did it. I was with my belly down then I just moved up my left arm, then slowly my right arm. At this time I was confident to get out of bed really slow. Then I did it! Now I'm sitting on my bed and looked out my window. I saw the green from the trees and it was really beautiful. Then my vision started to blurry very hard, but I forced I talked loudly that I wanted to continue in the dream and after some attempts I did it again and my vision was back again. So I opened my window and just exited my room by it and started to climbing the wall like the spider man! At this time I heard the sound of my door opening then I thought somebody was about to wake me up and I woke up myself. When I woke up, my heart beating really fast I don't know why. I was feeling I was breathless, but it normalized soon. That's it! [1] https://www.dreamviews.com/general-lucid-discussion/166207-lucid-dream-naps.html [2] https://youtu.be/e3HHw9Tem_A

Cliff Was climbing on some crazy rocks. Made the mistake of looking down and it was a crazy drop.Started panicking then the dream ended. Family My family came to visit me in canmore... They thought I was gay for some reason. It was extremely uncomfortable. Jamie Vague split second sex dream... Lucid Had a power nap. Was in a vague dream and lucid instantly. I was walking in a never ending house. I kept calling and intending to find Jamie. Eventually entered a room that seemed like hers or that her presence had been there. Went down a stairwell which led to another hallway and another stairwell. Randomly ran into some guy from work then I was at a mcdonald's.
Another lucid, another entry. I awoke in the middle of the night. Usually, I go about it by getting out of my bed, maybe drinking some water, and going back to bed to do the attempt. This time though, I didn't really feel like doing all of that. I decided to try something new. I'm sure you've felt very drowsy after waking up; so drowsy that you can barely open your eyes and have to try really hard to do so. I was in this state. I resolved to at least fully open my eyes, since I wasn't going to get up. Turns out, that was the perfect amount of awareness I needed. The moment my eyes were fully open, I laid down and closed them again. I did my relaxation breaths, and began saying my mantra. Almost immediately, I was going into a dream. If you guys have ever seen the new Moon Knight show, then the transition from wakefulness to dreaming was like when the main character blacks out. The dream, like the last 7, was less than ideal. After I got up, it was so real that I had to check to see if I was dreaming. I kicked a nearby radiator, and I didn't feel any pain. Right now I'm unable to describe it well. It was vivid, but also not vivid. I still did not feel like I was fully in the dream world, but the dream world itself was clear. So, I recalled back to when I kept reading these stories where people just shout "Stabilize" or something like that and it works. I thought stabilization was based on sensory input so I wasn't really sure it would work, but I was open to the possibility since anything is possible within a dream. So, last night, I tried something similar. I said, "Ok, Dream. When I snap my fingers, I want you to stabilize. I want this dream to be as clear and as Vivid as possible, OK? 3,2,1..." I snapped, and nothing changed. I snapped again, and still nothing. The dream ended shorty thereafter. For reasons I don't think I've made clear here, I think i'm rushing. It used to be because I was racing to try and stabilize the dream before it ended, of course to no avail. I'm rushing now because I just want to get it over with so I can do cool things in my dream. I've got to take it much slower than I am, I think. Still, it is kind of frustrating. I have problems with dream control despite believing in myself. I thought that was all you needed. Even once I got past the stabilization hurdle, I want to summon something, but I've never been able to do it. I've controlled the dream before. In a lucid a while back, I was flying. After I landed, I couldn't summon anything. In my first lucid ever, I tried to summon something but again, nothing worked. It seems like that action in particular is where I'm having problems, but to be fair, I haven't tried much else. The only other thing is stabilization, but is that dream control or just stimulating my senses? I guess now that I think of it, I don't really know what it means to stabilize. I guess it means to stimulate as many senses as possible to boost your presence in the dream. Well in any case, commanding the dream to stabilize didn't work last night, so I guess I'll try touching stuff and rubbing my hands together. Maybe I'll stretch or spin around. I wonder if exercise works. Anyway, after that, I'll try and find a dream character so I can talk to my subconscious about where my mental block is. Maybe then I can finally get some dream control. I should probably take my time too; maybe then I'll actually get a dream that lasts longer than 2 minutes. I think I have to treat this as the beginning of my journey. I'm getting frustrated because I've been at this for years now, but It's only the last 3 months where I've actually learned anything. It was then that WILD finally clicked for me, and I was able to use it to get consistent Lucid dreams. Maybe acting as if I only started learning how to lucid dream 3 months ago will help reduce frustration. **As for the blue guy that showed up to make me lucid a couple weeks ago, (I named him Azure) He has yet to appear since then. Explanation: A dream map is an interconnecting map detailing places you've been to or seen in your dreams, lucid or not. If a line connects two places, they are connected, if not they are not. Question marks depict a recall gap. I got the idea for a dream map from a certain thread on Uboachan's yume board. It's very fun seeing how your dreams connect to one another and helps you remember the landscapes so you may go back to them later and explore more. The first through third editions of my dream map are nothing special. So I'm starting here on the most recent fourth.
I dreamt about a price-gouging resort that had a bunch of computers, it also had its own currency (like "limbra pounds", "l£") eventually after getting into a spat about fall damage with the owner, I started a revolution and riot with the unhappy guests. There was also a lot of computers lying about, a lot of them had old windows 95 games on them. There was also one of my friends being possesed by a shapeshifting reptillian, and a vending machine that dispensed old grape fanta that had a promotion from the 2000s on them. I also dreamt about Deltarune, there was a "Mirror" universe everyone found themselves in. Everything was flipped, and after the party found themselves in trouble, they found Frisk, who appeared to be able to shapeshift in and out of a goat form, as well as conjure objects. I also remember taking a shopping cart from one world to another, and seeing alternate versions of my family.

Date: 05/05/2022 Bedtime: 3.15am Awakening: 7.10am Return to bed: 7.20am Method of entry: dream consciousness Attempt: successful Awakening: 11.15am DILD: The Insertion Experiment DREAMING I'm queueing behind a man in a shop. I'm next to be served but actress Julia Roberts jumps in front of me. She briefly looks back at me and I shake my head in disapproval before saying with sarcastic chivalry, 'Go ahead, you first!' Scene shift: I'm playing computer games with my wife in my youngest son's bedroom. Suddenly I'm by myself and several screens surround me, allowing me to switch from one game to the next without wasting time. I tend to select fighting over racing games. Suddenly, I'm inside one of the games—which takes a life-like appearance—and I observe people sink into walls with water flowing over their composite-stone surfaces; it seems that whoever gets too close to these peculiar walls ends up literally flushed away, vanishing into their deep gaps. The environment is like a gallery and people are warned to stay away from the walls. I pose for a picture with actor Cuba Gooding Jr. and the photographer accidentally reverses into a wall. I try to save the man by attempting to grab him but he gets flushed away pretty quickly. WAKING I wake up at the sound of the alarm and make some notes in my journal before getting my son up for school. I realise that I keep dreaming about celebrities lately, a theme which could turn into a potential dream cue. Playing computer games in my son's bedroom never happens and I also identify two instances of mechanical weirdness, such as, multiple screens and the subsequent flushing system on slippery wet walls observed after the impossibility of suddenly appearing inside a life-like game. Feeling tired, I return to bed. DREAMING At a nightclub a stately Rastafarian in dreadlocks insists that I stand in the corner of the dancefloor. This makes me very angry, especially when he refers to me as 'bitch'. I vehemently refuse to do as he says but he continues to press me so we lock horns and I end up killing him by bashing his head on steps at the edge of the dancefloor. I hear calls for security and scram as guards walk in my direction and call the police. Frightened, I exit the building, noticing that I am completely covered in blood. I meet up with my friend Musaddique who promises to help by taking me to his house. When we get there he tells me his door is the fourth one from a brick wall, but I see that the fourth one is blocked by a fence, so I ask him if he is sure and he appears confused. Weirdly, he starts counting doors before telling me that perhaps it's the third one. 'Do you not know your house?' I tease him before we enter the house and meet his family—which consists of his parents, his grown-up sister and some little siblings. Scene shift: It's time to go and, coincidentally, the back door of Musaddique's house allows direct access to a train station platform. I am kindly given a travelcard so I can get a train home. As I head for some barriers beyond which some information screens are visible, I hear Musaddique and his sister calling me. I turn around to see them running towards me. They want the travelcard back because, as it turns out, they will need it. When I hand back what they gave me previously, I notice that I have two blue travelcards made of plastic, making them resemble my citizen card. I find it a little strange but reason that they must've given me two passes by mistake. They turn around and presumably start walking back to their house. I reach for my wallet and realise that it's missing so I panic. How will I get home now? I can still see the siblings walking at a distance and rush after them in the hope of borrowing some money to get home. Suddenly the platform is bustling with people and I lose them. 'Where are they? They were just here!' I think to myself. Feeling lost and confounded by their sudden disappearance, I begin to wonder if I'm dreaming. It's the only explanation ... LUCID DREAMING I no longer worry about anything but feel curious when I see Musaddique get on a train with the crowd. (Realism: 100%) The sliding doors close but I pass through the carriage like a ghost, encountering some resistance as I do so. I can see inside the train as I hover near the ceiling. A semblance of Musaddique and the rest of the passengers look up from their seats. Wondering about what reaction I might get, I say to Musaddique, 'Don't bother with the travelcard! This is a dream!' Musaddique and the passengers start hooting with laughter as if they had been actors all along in some Truman show and I just got 'punked'. I feel like I'm surrounded by tricksters as I stand in the aisle thinking that I must be careful not to get sucked into a dream plot. I remember the Insertion Experiment and quickly lift a white shirt I'm wearing to plunge my right hand into my belly. As I watch my hand getting gradually absorbed by my torso, I make the following observations: there is some resistance, there is no blood, and there is no pain; as I wiggle the hand inside my tummy to feel for organs, I encounter a vacuous pressure—there is more feeling in my hand than my stomach area and no organs to be found. The environment begins to fade and I wake up eager to record my observations. WAKING I scribble some notes and recall the previous dream. Fights and confrontations in dreams are also quite common where strong emotions like anger tend to flare up. Being pursued by the police is also an extremely unlikely situation accompanied by feeling terrified of being captured. Each dream seems to come with at least one scene shift and there are some long-term memory-based elements such as Musaddique—a friend I have not seen since secondary school. I also need to practice being more critical of suspicious events such as Musaddique not knowing exactly which house door is his.
I was in my house, a weird mixture between my old house and my new house. If I remember correctly, I was observing a wooden crate, either that or making a sandwich. I make an offhanded comment about lucidity, so I decide to check. 6 fingers? I checked the other hand and it has 7, like it just kept having fingers when I thought I got to the end of it during my counting."I'm dreaming." I say to myself in shock and joy as finally I have a reality check that happened during a dream. But, I kept my cool the whole time, and never got openly excited which might end it early. I left whatever I was doing, and started walking around the house. I see a weird man in a black cloak appear from around a corner or something. I can really only see his beard. I pay no attention to him, but he seems friendly. I start to walk upstairs, towards my room, when he asks me a question. "Hey, is there anything in my beard?" (He said something very similar to this, but I don't remember exactly.) He's kinda far away, so I think of this as a good time to try a lucid ability. I reach into my pockets and pull out a magnifying glass from thin air, letting me see the guy's beard in more detail. I told him it was clean and got back to my business. I turned around and started walking to the outside of the house. "I'm gonna go out and bike," I say to him. "Hopefully I'll find fairies, or whatever other cool magic." (I'm not exactly sure why I said fairies specifically, but I really just wanted to go out biking and see what what's out there, stuff that couldn't exist in real life.) He chuckles a bit, and says okay, choosing to join me. I don't really care, so I let him follow me without saying anything. I walk outside using the front door, and come around to the garage. It was closed, so I flipped open the garage door keypad. This part worried me, because the keycode has always been the same in both houses, but I've heard light switches are weird, and reading doesn't work due to that part of your brain being off. I decided to look away and just try doing it from muscle memory. Surprisingly, the garage door opened. I looked at the keypad and the buttons from the lock pattern were lit up in green, obviously not what I pressed, nor the real code. I was just glad it worked. I came inside, along with the cloaked man. He gets a little excited seeing the few bikes around the otherwise completely empty garage. I, however, do not see my bike anywhere. I walk back inside, and grab my backpack which sat on the floor next to the large glass balcony door. I put it on the kitchen island, back-strap side down. I open it up and take the last few things from my already pretty empty backpack. A few pieces of junk or pencils or whatever, and also a small flatscreen TV which I leave face down on the island. The TV, which I put into this backpack in a past dream!! None of the cables nor the remote it originally came with. (In real life, the TV is being used in my sister's room, with cables.) (Maybe the garage door opened not because of the right pattern, but because I was hoping and confident that it would open? That is how dreams operate after all...) **In a later dream that night... (Not lucid)** I was exactly where I was where this lucid dream just ended. By the balcony door, looking at the dining room. This time however, the wooden crate from before (maybe) was on the table, and my sister was there, sitting down. "What do you think it is, <my name>?" She says to me. I guess that it's an animal, and she laughs. "We're saving it for when Dad comes home in a few days." She says. "Well, no animal can live in this tiny box without any food or water for 3 days. It has to be something dry." I respond.
