    1. Old Lucid, the Devil gets it!

      Hey all, I barely had any dreams last night, which sucks. I do remember chopping up some onions... So here comes an old LD I had a few months back, it was one of the first LDs I had in which I didn't wake up immediately.

      LD: I'm taking a shower at work, and I don't have any shampoo. I take some from a bottle next to me and do my thing. When I'm finished showering, some guy walks up to me and starts asking me about my education. "What are you studying?" he asks and points at my books. I tell him about it and he walks away. The dream changes and becomes totally random, suddenly I'm having a fight with The DEVIL! I somehow manage to trap him in a pile of coins, and hide them under a bed. I then take a newspaper and put it on top.



      "You do realise I will break free as soon as someone remove these coins? He asks in his Devil-voice.

      I start thinking about encasing them in concrete and walk outside. I follow a road which leads to an intersection and I time it so that the cars don't hit me.
      I realise I'm dreaming, and decide to try to jump. I go like ten meters up in the air and land hard on the side of the road, on a small hill overlooking the town. I feel extatic and jump up in the air again. I fly down to the gas station in a few seconds and starts circling it. A few seconds later I'm down on the ground and the dream changes somehow again. Suddenly I'm ontop of the hill again, only this time, a road leads down to a dock filled with dumpsters. "Maybe I should try skateboarding?" I try to summon a skateboard while running but it just won't work! I close my eyes and try again and when I open them, I'm on a skateboard, heading for a big jump. I do the jump and fly several feet up in the air, and do like four spins before I land it. I head for the lake, which is now frozen for some reason, and come to a river. I'm not on a skateboard anymore, but on a surfboard and it's like I'm being dragged by an invisible line. The river changes to a lush jungle with bright yellow bananas on the sides. I can really feel the heat of the sun, and the colours are incredible.



      The dream changes but I still manage to keep my lucidity. This time I'm on a cruise ship, and I'm having an argument with myself. In the corner of my eye I see a room filled with porn. "Oh that's right! I gotta try to summon a girl" I start to read a magazine and I can see that they've actually taken those pictures right where I'm standing. The dream starts to fade and I don't get laid.

      That's it folks! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. It was sweet.

    2. Tense meeting, bad service and weird subway

      Hello everyone! I was supposed to try out the CANWILD method, in which you set an alarm, don't move a muscle and slip back to sleep. I was way too tired this morning to be bothered hah! If I don't have to get up, I won't. Anyways I did have a nice night, three long dreams and two fragments, in one which I had an LD! It was the shortest one I've had but still. Here they are:

      D1 Night: I'm sitting at a table with my grandpa infront of me. He's about to have a very important business meeting and I'm there as his consult or whatever. I take out my cellphone and turn on the record function. I barely have time to put it in my pocket before a man enters the room. He greets us and they start talking business. I can tell he's really nervous and is sweating like a pig. Instead of talking to eachother, they start drawing pictures with crayons. Just random colors on the paper like a three-year old would do. I can see that there's text hidden in those symbols. Just as if there were cameras in the room, recording everything. After ages of drawing, the meeting is finally over. I go to the bathroom and take out my cellphone. The record had stuck at two hours. "Damn that was a long meeting" I say to myself.

      D2 Night: I'm at McDonalds with my friend G. The girl serving me is a complete bitch, and as we are about to walk out of there, I tell her that her performance sucks. Apparently she is going home with us. G gets angry at me and starts whining. I really don't feel like taking his crap so I tell him and his new girlfriend to walk ahead of me. He agrees and I ask for the keys to the appartment. He throws them at me and starts running. After a few seconds he comes running back panting. "I forgot, I don't even have the key" I give him the keys back and he runs off again. I'm left all alone in the middle of the night and walks slowly home. After a steep hill I can hear some weird noises coming from a barn on the side of the road. I can tell it's children doing something bad, like drugs! I start thinking of going in there to scare them a little.

      D3 Night: I'm on a cool boat with my girlfriend Monica. We're cruising down the river here in my hometown and Monica is hyped up. "We should put down crayfish traps all the way to the end!" I try to turn the boat around but it's too narrow! Somehow I manage to do it anyways but the boat almost turns over in the process. I can hear glasses shattering under deck in the cabin.

      D4 10.30: I don't remember much but I'm with a girl dressed in black. Suddenly I get lucid after remembering the girl in the bathtub. The girl in black lay down and I position myself ontop of her. Instead of getting that nice feeling, I'm starting to feel my body. "No, no, no!" I think for myself. "Someone told me to concentrate real hard on the dream, it might work!" I try concentrating and the dream doesn't vanish! I'm once again in the dream and I try to move a little, it feels nice but the dream is too fuzzy for it to be exciting. I black out a few seconds later.

      D5 11.30:I'm in a cab with my friend G. We're going to Mörby and I'm wearing a thin jacket. The cab stops and we get out and starts walking towards the subway entrance. The guy in the booth is sleeping so I tell G to just walk on without paying. On the very slim escalator I see alot of people, wearing ghetto-clothes. "Hmm this must be the new ghetto in Sweden" I think for myself and we enter the subway station. Apparently there's a new track being opened today. It includes 10 new stations and the old track is closed for repairs. I don't recognise any of the names on the board and I don't really know where I'm going. A train enters the station and we are about to get on, only if they hadn't occupied the entire thing. We end up standing on the platform, watching the train leave the station. But wait? We're the ones moving, not them! I point this out to my friend Felix and he agrees with me. "This is awesome!" I say and fall down. I feel really drunk and can't stand up properly. The tickets on this new train, are wooden sticks of some kind. I'm holding two and I notice that I'm wearing my winter-jacket. "Wasn't I wearing my autumn-jacket?" I ask. "And where's G?" I figure he must have left on the platform or something. Suddenly I want to get off the train, and ask if Felix or Eric wants to come with me. They don't and I walk out all by myself. I'm in my home city again and in the middle of a roundabout. I run to the other side of the road and cars have to stop. My shoes are now some kind of flip-flops and I'm greeted by two alcoholics with no front teeth.

      Amount of sleep: 9 hours

      I just signed up for a MILD class. I really hope I get in, since I'm not really a newb. But I do need the motivation and some tips on how to achieve lucidity. I just think about it alot and hope for the best.

      Any suggestions? Are RCs really THAT important? This is what the paintings looked like in the first dream:

    3. Series of Vivid Dreams about Travel

      Before I went to bed last night I ate a few pieces of cheese to help evoke some creative dreaming! After reading a little I fell asleep and had a series of dreams that I believe occurred in the hours just before I woke up (this is what it felt like anyway). This is what I remember upon waking up.

      1st fragment of dream: I remember this was a long detailed dream, but I only remember the end part. I was travelling with my boyfriend, not my real boyfriend but someone I have never met before in my life. Somehow something went wrong and we were being arrested by a woman who was in control of the area we were staying. She had the power to decide if we were to go to jail, which would mean never being released or seeing each other again. My dream boyfriend did not argue this but I pleaded and cried with the woman to let us go, that we were getting married soon and I wanted to spend my life with my boyfriend. She never said she would let us go but I knew in my mind then that she would release us. That is all I remember...

      2nd Fragment of Dream: Occurred just before I woke up. I was stranded on a big empty wooden boat at sea with a group of people I did not know. The boat had a closed top with dark wooden panels and hardly any windows. There were lots of areas and hallways I explored and a couple of rooms where the majority of the group of people stayed. The first part focused on us meeting another little boat and begging for help. We did not understand why they didnt want to help until our boat crashed into theirs, at which point they began climbing onto our big boat. I remember feeling threatened and trying to calm them down in case they were angry we damaged their boat.

      This then turned into another part of the same dream where I wanted to get away from the people on the boat, we were in close proximity of each other and I needed some space from the group. I explored the corners of the boat and found a white wood panelled door. This door had several swing parts to it and when I walked through there were stairs. I did not go up the stairs, however another girl came and went up the stairs and I was able to see through her eyes there were more people upstairs, hundreds more people. We then realised this was the upper class and we weren't allowed upstairs and I remember trying to convince them I could come upstairs but they all looked down at me. That was when I realised that we must be the lower class. This was when I woke up.

      3rd Fragment of Dream: I managed to fall back asleep for another hour where I remember dreaming that I was being sick everywhere in a room with another girlfriend in it. She was sick once but then looked at me and saw how much mess there was in the room. The room then turned into a red car and a guy friend told us that we would be ok we just had to abandon the car on the road, which we decided to do.

      I don't know what any of these mean but they all seem to revolve around travelling places to some extent. They also don't feature any real people.
    4. What People Really Do on Their Yachts

      In this next clip, I am not included. However, I can see everything clearly through the lens of a video camera. I can tell I am watching a home video taken by a wife of her husband and son. They are on a yacht, sailing around in a little lake on a sunny day. The husband is sitting in a plastic lawn chair by the edge of the boat, but I can’t see his head. The camera is focused on his leg.
      In his hand he holds a large knife. He stretches his leg out on the long chair, and makes a long, deep cut in his leg. Almost instantly his innards spill out of his leg like a bucket of chum being poured out, and it falls into the ocean, leaving a flappy skin-baggy leg behind. The man doesn’t stop there, he continues to mutilate himself. This time, he makes a wide gash across his stomach. Again, his guts and muscles and everything else pour out of him, leaving a skin bag stomach. The little son is crying and screaming in the background. “Daddy, please stop!” he shouts, but the father continues. “Whee, isn’t this fun?” says the mother.

    5. Rains Boats and Automobiles

      I was walking through the parking lot of my old elementary school. It was raining and a very dark Grey out and for some reason there were many people walking through and around the area and driving through the parking lot. My friends mom came by in her car and told me to get in. I saw to my right that her oldest son, my really good friend, was walking out in the rain towards my house. I said, "where are we going?" and she told me that we were going to her house in Mississauga, which is a good 40 minutes from where we were. I told her that her son was walking out there in the rain and that we should pick him up but she insisted that she drove me to her house first then she would come back and drive him.

      >> We're on the highway and it's still pouring. She's a terrible driver because she's kind of afraid behind the wheel. She would just stop in the middle of traffic and wait until enough room builds up for her to change lanes. I grab control of the wheel because I cannot stand how bad she is at driving and eventually I switch places with her and continue driving.

      >> flashforward again....we're all on a boat.

    6. Escape: Death Bus, and Escape II: Paddle for your Life

      Escape: Death Bus

      I was on a bus headed in the direction of my house. I was on the back seat next to the emergency exit. Next to me was N, an old fr-enemy from my school days ( c ). Next to him there was a Chinese man -- some kind of guard I thought ( c ). Walking up and down the bus was another Chinese guard. Also on the bus was C, an old friend also from my school days ( c ).

      I knew we were being held captive by the Chinese military ( c ). Looking around the bus I saw more prisoners and more guards. I knew I wanted to escape ( i ).

      I realised that the emergency exit had not been secured, so I could open it and escape if I dared. The bus was travelling pretty fast. I turned to N and whispered my plan to jump off the moving bus to him. He was hesitant. I felt guilty that C probably wouldn't get off the bus with us due to the exit being blocked by the guard sitting next to N.

      Somehow I managed to open the emergency exit without anyone noticing ( a ). I looked out on to the road. There was a lot of traffic coming in the other direction, and a lot of traffic behind the bus. I felt as thought the bus was moving in excess of 100mph ( c,f ). I closed the door. Nobody had noticed, and the door alarm hadn't gone off, but I didn't find it odd at all. I was afraid to jump, knowing that my chances of survival were slim.

      The bus slowed. A chance to escape had now presented itself. I quickly opened the door and jumped out. N followed me, and somehow C was also able to escape the bus ( c ). We were near the primary school I attended, not too far from my house. I pointed in the direction I thought we should run: towards the railway running along side the school.

      We ran in that direction, followed by a number of the guards. N and C were ahead of me as we reached the houses that back on to the railway. N and C hopped the fence, but I was caught! The guards wanted me to point out where they were running to, but I refused. They made me stand on a bush, which I struggled to do because... it's a bush ( a ). Eventually I stood on it and I could see that C was still there and hadn't run off. He was hiding behind a low wall in the next garden. I didn't know what to do so I just pointed in a random direction and said they had run that way.


      Escape II: Paddle for your Life

      I was on a beach with several other people. We were being pursued ( c ). Quickly we jumped in to the longboats sitting there ( a ). I and some others ended up in the water because there was not room. I held on to the side of one of the boats near the front.

      Our pursuers were in boats behind us despite all the boats having been taken a moment earlier ( c,f ). At this point I noticed that myself and everyone else was dressed as a pirate ( f ). I was afraid that we would be shot at but then realised that nobody had guns ( c ). I looked back and could see some of them had swords. I knew that all we had to do was stay ahead of them and find land to escape.

      Now there was somehow room in the boat and I climbed inside ( f ). The perspective shifted to third person briefly and I was somehow in mental control of the rowing ( i,c ). I remember thinking about it. I realised that everyone had a single oar out of the right hand side of the boat, and I knew that it would just make us go round in circles despite the fact that we seemed to be going straight ( c,f ). I was able to change it so that there was a balance that I thought would produce a straighter heading ( i ).

      Back in first person now, we neared land. It appeared to be a small island with a large walled town on it taking up most of the land ( f ). We landed on the beach and headed for the gates. Most of the others trying to escape must have been captured because there were four of us. Upon reaching the gates, the people inside wouldn't open them for us. The gates were constructed of steel railings but I knew we couldn't squeeze through.

      Myself and the others turned in to twist ties ( f ). Yes, twist ties. and slipped through the bars. Back as a person now, I looked around at the townspeople ( f ). Everything looked like a cartoon ( f ). Thinking on it now, it all looked a bit like the style in the Professor Layton games. The people were just standing there staring at us, expressionless ( c ). It seemed really creepy. I decided to run further in to the town and asked the people not to say which way I had run. Somehow the pursuers had also got through the gates and I turned to see several of them standing there ( c ).
    7. 07/15/10 My 2nd lucid DILD! The R.P. Summoning, The Storm

      Yesss! My 2nd LD. I wish I could say it was a WILD, but it was a DILD. This was almost similar to my first one, but it wasn't very long.

      Note: I was sleeping in my brother's room. I think the LD had to do with the fact that I was in a different environment. Once again, I felt that this LD was semi-lucid. I don't remember feeling this dream, I just remember it as a lucid dream.

      -The Robert Pattinson Summoning-
      The only I remember was that I was at my Dad's house. It was all dark and stormy like. As I was walking down the stairs to the dining room I must've known how weird it felt. I probably thought: "I'm not supposed to be up this late..let alone be down here."

      So I did an RC just to test my reality. I remember it clearly; I tried breathing through my nose twice. It felt like I had a stopped up nose (it sounded like it too) but I could still breathe throught it. Then BAM! It hit me. I must be dreaming!

      I walked back up the stairs and stood in front of a mirror. It was a full body mirror. I could see the reflection. I was invisible, I can't describe it. (At this time, I wasn't really in my right mind, because I have no idea why I did this next thing) I tried to summon Robert Pattinson. In the mirror, I looked behind me. As I was imagining him, it seemed like there was a purple mist behind me, glowing and sparkling. I turned around, no Robert Pattinson. So I turned around back to the mirror.

      Then Robert appeared. He came from behind the pillar (which the mirror was leaning up against). He walked up to me; and he looked a little different. He said, "Here, have this." So I took it and stared at it. The thing looked like an iPhone but the size of a Ken. It had some kind of writing on it, which I cannot remember. He disappeared, and I woke up.

      -The Storm-
      There was a very large storm that went on. So, I had to act fast. (this dream felt like Evan Almighty) I jumped on the nearest yacht (I think it was) and tried to steer it to get everyone else. At the end, after the storm I remember this: This might have been lucid, but I'm not so sure. At this part, it felt so real. It even felt realer than the dream up above. Inside the boat looked like my mother's house. But, there was no basement. I walked through the living room, and looked up. 3 birds were flying around on the ceiling. I saw a few broken pipes, where the basement door had been. I heard my dad in my mom's room, so I said to him, "Dad, what are those birds doing in here?" I can't remember his answer though. I woke up.
    8. Hanging with W and Louvre Visit

      1. I finally have returned from my research station, and I meet up with my old friend W at his house. He's suitably curious, asking all about my experiences, if I got lonely or bored and what I did for fun. I show him some of the things my parents brought me to make the time more enjoyable. This triggers a question of advice for his own presents, as his girlfriend's birthday is coming up. She's a nerdy actress, and he shows me two things he's considering.
      One is a portable stage light that casts a brilliant circle on demand. The other is a bath towel with a built-in calculator (numbers go crazy, so another failed RC). I laugh at both and suggest the light as better. We continue to discuss girls until my mom interrupts us. We adopt a stony silence and sit awkwardly until W breaks it with a cheesy one-liner. I laugh so hysterically I fall out of the dream!

      2. I make a trip to the Louvre in Paris with the students from my research station. I wander aimlessly along the corridors of art until I find a computer lab, in which everyone is hanging out. I feel mildly annoyed that we came all this way for everyone to ignore the art. In any case we all go outside, where Paris is covered in snow. This doesn't stop me from renting a bicycle and barreling down a sick hill with epic jumps. Eventually I wipe out in a crazy fashion, landing somewhat on my neck, even though the snow cushions my fall.

      3. I'm on an Amazon river canoe trip with my advisor, and tensions are running high.
    9. Road trip

      Apparently Arizona, India and Japan all border each other. I know this because I decided to go on a road trip. I ended up going to India, but the people/culture was more like South America (except they ate a lot of gumbo and jambalaya).

      I ended up staying on a farm with a family for a while. I'm not precisely sure what I was doing there. We went on a boat made of glass that sunk deep into the ocean. I pressed my hands against the glass and stared at the fish, whales, and weird creatures swimming past.

      I drove to some sort of rest stop. They had a huge room where you could take showers. I figured since I was on a road trip and broke that I should take one. The showers were in stalls, and this maze of them seemed to go on for a very long time. I was trying to find one private enough. I did and then someone jumped into the stall so I left. I recall talking to the woman behind the counter about how messed up it was that since all the Americans were coming there they weren't allowed to put up their national flag or display their art. There were a lot of outlines of murals, half painted hands that they said they wanted to finish but since they were so busy they weren't able to get around to it.

      I contemplated driving to the grand canyon but decided that I didn't want to go south.

      I ended up at a house that a lot of people I knew were there. Robin Williams was sitting on the couch. He was very young and had spider bites (piercings) on his lips. He was wearing a large trench coat. I stealthily followed him outside where he killed a woman and scooped up a bit of her flesh into the front of his trench coat.

      I think that's about it. I'm sure a lot of other stuff happened.
    10. No-lucidity Dream Control

      I was at a dock. It was an ordinary, wooden dock that actually looked fairly brand-new, and there were a few boats stationed around it, facing out towards a vast sea. I was looking out towards it too, at the end of the dock. Behind me was a large land mass filled with houses and other buildings, and trees. It almost reminded me of Orlando, Florida.

      I wanted to take a boat ride, but all the boats weren't touching the dock, so I couldn't get inside any of them. I looked at one, a white boat with a thin blue stripe going horizontally across it, and pulled it in with my hands, using an invisible rope. I saw its wake as the boat came towards me with surprising speed. I stopped gesturing as if I were holding a rope, and now I gestured randomly with my hand to make it turn, Transformers-style, into a super futuristic boat.

      That didn't work, though; nothing happened.

      I ditched the boat because I had now lost interest, and saw a vehicle parked where the dock began. It almost looked like a Honda Element, but the body was curved and the rear end of the car was box-like. It's difficult to explain. The car had a silver paint job. I looked it up and down and got inside.

      Now I was watching from a third-person perspective. I thought the car looked horrid now, so I looked away and looked back, expecting it to be cooler. It changed a bit and was now more curvy and futuristic, but not quite. I looked away and back again, and it was now really boxy. It had the Hummer logo on the side, and it looked exactly the same as the real thing. But the model was "5", a non-existent number for Hummer.


      It was like this except with the number 5.

      The dream skipped forward and I was now back at the dock, but not on it: I was on a beach, and the dock was situated a few feet away. The water looked crystal clear and I could see dolphins coming up for air. I decided to try diving without a scuba mask, so I imagined I could breathe underwater, and I submerged myself. The water was only a few feet deep, so I didn't get all of myself under. When I was underneath the surface, I could breathe normally. I saw a dolphin looking at me, and it wasn't moving at all. I also couldn't move, myself. I came back up.

    11. Mzzkc's Mind Games

      No lucids last night, but I learned a neat trick. I can find an object using my TK, even if I can't see it, just by reaching out with my hand and pulling it to me. That may prove useful. It certainly did when we were looking for our white-board during that crazy water based golf game.

      I'm going to elborate on what happened during this dream. Specifically the part when I scare all the DCs on the boat by flipping it over a few times. You know, since that is kinda completing the Basic Task. >.>

      I'm on a cruise ship. I have no idea how I got here. I just know it's a dream and I want to get to the moon! Now, how to do that. . . I recall Pirates of the Carribean when they flipped over the ship to transport them between dimensions. It seemed like a perfectly sound idea. However, the friends I was with at the time didn't think so. They tried to talk me out of it, but I simply ignored them, telling them their concerns were nonsense.

      I used an extension of my TK abilities and flipped the boat over once. Gravity remained mostly intact, but in reverse now. The windows of the cabin were underwater and everyone, including my friends were freaking out. I still think this will work, so I go ahead and flip it back upright. People start to calm down. Hrm, we don't seem to be on the moon. I violently start rotating the boating, flipping it several times. Now, everyone on the boat is screaming that it's going to capsize. "Shit, I gotta get out of here." I fly out the nearest window as, behind me, the screams of the DCs fade away into gargled murmurs, as the deep waters of the stream swallow the boat and its passengers alive.
    12. Liquor Store

      This dream occurred in March, 2008:

      I had a dream that my mother and I found an old, run-down liquor store that was two hundred years old (or something along those lines) and looked like it was going to collapse or something. It had a big Jack Daniels sign outside, and there were a bunch of busted barrels outside that were falling apart. It was a cool old store, so we debated buying it and renovating it. We went inside, and the inside was much nicer than the outside. It was being run by two guys, who owned an old black-and-white dog, which rolled over on its back and begged for me to rub its belly. I did, and managed to hit the spot that made its leg thump.

      Then, I dreamed I was driving around with Eli and some other friends on a tour of other buildings. One old building in particular was historically significant, but it looked like a stark, lonely shack, and no plants grew around it. Then, we were boating down a wide, slow, blue river with lush vegetation on its banks. I was telling Eli about how I had a dream about a liquor store. I was watching large gears float down the river. They had blue glowing runes inscribed on them, and belonged to some other civilization. After this, I woke up.
    13. Sunken boat in the cove

      Many people are gathered on the beach when a challenge is presented to see who can swim all the way around the cove. The starting point is the beach and the finish line is the docks. All of the swimmers stop for a rest at the sand bar and some of them try to dive down to an old boat that has sunk in the deepest part of the cove. No one can seem to hold there breath long enough, though. The challenge to swim to the docks is all but forgotten as everyone is more interested in reaching the small shipwreck.

      When it is my turn I am successful in reaching the sunken boat. It looks like a small wooden fishing boat and it is laying upside down in the sand. I see a small gap between the cove bottom and boat that I can slip through. I do not have any scuba gear or a flashlight but I want to get underneath the boat. The sunken boat settles into the sand as I go underneath and I become trapped just as I am starting to run out of air.

      I almost panic, but quickly find that I can lift the boat through the water if I kick my legs hard enough. I push the boat up onto the sand bar for everyone to see, but the other swimmers get angry at me for disturbing a shipwreck. I am not really fazed by their attitudes because I am just happy that I did not drown. The dream ends there.

      Morning of October 11, 1968. Friday.



      Summary of meaning: In subliminal anticipation of the need to get up for school, my mind renders my mother (as parallel symbolism with my own inevitable emergent consciousness precursor) as a prehistoric amphibious creature and, with the aid of four older males, to be held on an island by building a shed (liminal space) around her. When she wakes, the shed explodes outwardly, as I am leaving the island (dream exit symbolism).



      A team of four unknown men, dressed as if on a safari (recurring dream character mode), probably in their thirties, seemingly with my help (even though I am only seven years old), trap an Eryops that had fallen asleep on a deserted isolated island (possibly near Florida or within the state of Florida in a very large lake as I do notice some palmettos) by somehow building a wooden shed around it while it is sleeping, yet the hammering apparently does not disturb its sleep at any point which is of course illogical. There is a very vague consideration that it may dig its way out as it is somewhat toad-like and toads do dig. However, when it eventually wakes up as we are preparing to leave the island, it is easily able to smash through with only a couple movements of its body and tail. I see boards flying out from the outer walls of the small building and feel a sense of awe and imminent danger. I watch the men leaving quickly in a rowboat (though I am not yet in it, though I seemingly soon teleport to it) as the creature is escaping but is not a direct threat as it remains where it is. It is facing the shore but facing to the right in my viewpoint. There is a sense of awe and unpleasant surprise but I have never classified this as a nightmare as I seem to only be observing this last scene without being directly present, becoming incorporeal at the waking point. (It was fairly common in my childhood dreams to become incorporeal in the final moments in eluding a possible threat, and as such, actual nightmares have been extremely rare throughout my life.)



      • This event of the prehistoric creature waking up as I am waking up (and it was my last dream of the morning prior to getting up) primarily renders the event as a very obvious waking metaphor, about as obvious as a basic dream meaning can be. Subliminally trying to prevent myself from waking (by preventing the creature from waking and escaping) did not work in this case, as biology is stronger than subliminal conscious will.
      • Last update on Sunday, 30 October 2016. I had not considered that the shed in this dream might be associated with a doghouse. I learned that I had read a Marmaduke panel on October 6, 1968 which featured the dog “digging a storm cellar” under his doghouse. Additionally, building a shed around the sleeping creature seems a possible analogy to building a doghouse in hopes to tame a beast. A year previously, when I lived at 611 North Monroe Street, I had been yelled at by an unknown man who told me to stay away from his puppy (who was always resting in his doghouse when I visited him near my own open yard). This upset me (especially as I had never seen him before even though he lived in the apartments on the other side of our yard).

    15. Where did they go? (the vanishing motor yacht mystery)

      Morning of April 10, 1977. Sunday.



      This was a rather long dream which lasted until late morning. There seemed to be at least two “resets”. One of the main characters in my dream is Roosevelt I (but more adult-like) who is a friend and a classmate. There is a girl with him who may be an adult version of Tina L. The main theme of my dream is that a boat disappeared. It was a small motor yacht with a cabin though Roosevelt and Tina mostly stand atop the cabin. This disappearance had happened, supposedly, a few years prior, I believe - I am not fully certain of my dream’s backstory (possibly because of the “resets”). What had happened was that, when the first boat was going around the winding curve of a river, with each bank covered with very tall trees and other plants so that you could not see through to the other side of the river bend, it never arrived on the other side and was never seen again at the time. There were a few witnesses to this event.

      Experiments are conducted in the region that relate to the river’s water and its currents. Roosevelt is doing most of the research. Later, he and Tina are going rather fast down the river. Suddenly, another boat comes around the bend and almost hits them as it is on a direct collision course. At this point, I am fully in my dream and it is very vivid. Although I am on the boat with Roosevelt, I seem to be a non-character. There is no accident, only a sense of awe at the boat returning with the people not seeming to have aged. This turns out to have been the boat that had supposedly vanished years previously. Apparently, there is some sort of time barrier whereby, under certain undetermined conditions, anything that travels through it at “just the right time or speed” shifts into a parallel universe of sorts, or so it seems. Interestingly, in my dream, the events do not seem that much like science-fiction.
