1. Templars

I was visiting weird planets with Yuya as I often do in a rather deep dream that had been going on for multiple hours.
Then this happened:

There it is, a feeling all too familiar that I have not experienced in a long time.
I am scared... so fucking scared.
Fortunately my body reacts on its own, powering up and thus protecting me from the overwhelming pressure off the aura that has just appeared.
I know this feeling all too well, even though it has been such a long time since I've last experienced it.

This is very unexpected.
I have lately gone out of my way to get into trouble, because there is nothing like the fear you experience during a fight where your opponent is actually strong enough to kill you.
But in such fights, it is more of a mixture of fear and excitement you are experiencing.
The feelings of a true fights are difficult to explain, but there's a very special vibe to them that is oddly fascinating.

But this... this isn't.
There is no excitement, there are no feelings associated to those of a good fight.
This is pure fear.

Usually I gradually power up during fights, trying to find a good balance so that I am on a similar level to my opponent, because that makes things most interesting.
But this time I'm not. My body instinctively powered up all the way.
And I will need every single bit of strength if I want to survive this.

Fucking Templars who hunt me down because the god from their delusions told them so.
If only they weren't so ludicrously strong.
I can't afford anything less than a perfect level of concentration.
The first time I encountered one of them, I had both Yuya and Silver with me and I still came close to dying on multiple occasions.
To top it off I only managed to win the fight by using an ability that I can only use once every few years.
And that was a stray Templar, possibly weaker than the one I'm facing right now.
http://www.dreamviews.com/blogs/hyu/...dragons-18805/

The second time I was in a room full of portals, and managed to make a run for it.
This time I won't have a choice. We'll have to fight.
They are so fast that I won't be able to draw my phoenix wings without creating a very short opening, inevitably resulting in my death.
Yes. They are that fast. There is zero room for errors.

"The true lord demands your death Anassasi."
"I couldn't care less about your delusions."
"Oh but you should. Your death is inevitable, regardless of how much you try to resist us."
"The Templars will hunt you for all eternity."

He plays with his staff in a taunting manner.
It's odd. Regardless of how much hate there is during a fight, if both parties have considerable strength, there is always a certain degree of respect. Even if it is only the respect in your opponents strength.
And an element of excitement, because only rarely do you have the opportunity to go all out if you are this strong.
But with Templars there is none of that.
There is only the urge to survive.
And them? I'm not even sure if they have feelings at all besides hatred for certain dreamers.

I know that WakingNomad has encountered them as well. I used to call them Paladins, but after reading that he calls them Templars, the term has somehow emerged into my dreams.

Yuya has casted her water spheres and her aura is clearly on edge. But even like this there is an inexplicable beauty to her aura, even if she is ready to kill.
If only our truly overpowered abilities would work against them.
They are immune to both my dragon eyes and Yuya's water extraction technique.
I'm not sure if they have any water in their bodies.
They have a certain artificial look to them. Maybe it is because they never show any emotions besides hate.

"Today the dragon will die."

I grip my katana tightly. It is fully of energy and vibrates strongly in my hand.
I am perfectly focused on him. I am waiting for the slightest of changes within his aura.
There is is! A small twitch... and he is gone.

He appears right in front of me, but I was perfectly prepared for his blink and am already midway in my own blink, bringing me only slightly out of reach of his staff.
It hurts!
I had forgotten that any proximity to their aura causes a feeling of pressure so strong that you think it could burn off your skin.
But it doesn't feel like the heat of fire, it is what I assume it would feel like if you got an acid burn.

It's go time.
I charge towards the Templar and clash my sword into his staff.
I cannot comprehend how their staffs can deflect such power. It doesn't feel like they charge any energy onto them.
Any material should easily break in such a situation if you don't.
Yuya is throwing her spheres against him, and occasionally casting high pressure water beams into his direction.
But they are simply deflected by his armor in the same manner his staff is deflecting my sword.
It is so frustrating.

My aura is right at the edge of hurting my own body. The vibrations are only barely bearable.
I see the sky red and the clouds burning. My blood is boiling.
In such a state I need to be careful not to accidentally damage my own body.
Yuya is pushed slightly outside of the battle my various pressure attacks.

"Do you know how we kill a dragon?"

A device on his staff activates and my katana is teleported and trapped against it.
He smiles and charges at me with his staff.

"The last Templar who thought so is long dead you fool."

This trick may have worked once, but I'm not falling for it again.
I cast my katana away and re-materialize it in my hand.
He didn't expect this. Maybe I can force a small opening.
I skillfully bring myself into a better position.
Yes! This is perfect, I got him at a dead angle.
I charge all the energy into my sword that I can manage and swing it against the right side of his abdomen as he passes me.
I can feel it clashing against his armor and releasing all of its energy. A perfect hit!

Coldness. Shudder.
I blink instinctively, but slightly too late.
A sharp pain emerges from my left shoulder.
How did he manage to reposition himself like that?
He was to my right and I clearly hit him hard.
How did he manage to cut into my left shoulder?
And why the fuck does his staff have retractable blades?

The situation calms down as we all got some space between us.
Fuck, I have to fight on my own for a split second and I'm already wounded.
I feel blood slowly streaming down my arm.
Usually the dragon aura would naturally take care of it and close the wound, but there's something about a Templars aura that prevents such in-combat healing techniques.
I cast fire onto the skin surrounding the wound and burn it shut.
It hurts, but I have so much adrenaline in my body that it isn't as bad as it sounds.

Then I notice that Yuya is wounded as well, though only superficial.
She has a small cut on her left arm, and she appears to have frozen the wound shut.
This is not going well.

I inspect the Templar in the hopes of spotting some serious damage dealt by my last attack.
There is a dent in his armor.
Are you fucking kidding me? I landed a perfect hit!
I hit him so hard that the changes of air pressure around him caused extensive damage to the ground surrounding us.
But his armor? A fucking dent?
How are we supposed to beat him?

The fight continues, but it quite frankly isn't looking good for us.
He manages to land near-hits on us with nearly every try, whereas all of our attacks bounce off his stupid armor.
If only Silver was here. But he isn't, and he won't come.

I'm starting to become exhausted.
Templars don't seem to suffer from this issue. The longer this fight will drag on the worse our situation will become.

Alright. Time for more risky tactics.
I lower my katana slightly, giving the Templar an opening if he charges me head on.
And sure enough he comes right at me.
Time nearly stops. I see him slowly approaching me during one fast leap.
He's moving so fast that pressure waves are building around his body.

Yuya's aura is clearly alarmed. She is very worried about me... and... so am I.
Was this really a good idea? What was I thinking?
I haven't used this ability in years, I can't even remember it properly.
It's to late to question it now... just go with it.

I slightly lower the dragonic energy in my body. Any hit now and I am most certainly dead.
I shift all the energy into the right side of the blade of my katana.
Then I rapidly focus phoenix energy within my body.

This is a horrible idea. It is so dangerous to do this.
Dragonic energy is demonic in nature, whereas phoenix energy is divine.
Like fire and ice. Matter and Antimatter.
Any mistake will rip my body apart.
I do not have the experience I had a few years ago, and even then, as mad as I was, I respected and feared using both energies at the same time greatly.

My eyes and my dragon tattoo begin to hurt intensely.
They are being attacked my the divine energy.

I increase the phoenix energy until it reaches the same level as the dragon energy.
Then I funnel it into my blade as well, but on the other side.
I now have two independent energy circuits running through my blade and body.
But they draw their power from the same source: my aura.
I need to divide my concentration.
Half of it to make sure I do not kill myelf.
The other half to coordinate my attack.

My katana begins to vibrate heavily.
I turn the dragon energy into heat. A heat greater than that of suns, probably only matched by the pressure within a black hole, something only a dragon can do.
With my phoenix energy I do the exact opposite. Absolue zero. The temperature at which everything stops, an ability exclusive to wielders of divine energy.
Both touch only at the edge of the blade.
This causes the laws of physics to break down.
Such opposing forces cannot occupy the same space, yet they do at the very edge of the blade.
An intense pressure vortex forms around my blade because the air surrounding it no longer has any idea how to act.

I swing my katana at the Templar, who is now only centimeters away from me.
The intense pressure emerging from my sword closes the opening I gave him earlier.
This has to work. This is one of the most powerful techniques I know of, and I am risking my life to perform it.
It is not a dragon ability, nor is it a phoenix ability.
It is my ability. Mine alone. A combination of powers only I could use on the most extreme level.
If this doesn't hurt him nothing will.

As I swing my katana towards him. I no longer manage to contain the force within.
Some energy leaks out, causing intense vortexes around us.
It emits a pure, blinding light.

And then, they finally clash.
My katana and his staff.
The explosion of energy is beyond anything I've ever experienced.
My senses shut down to protect my body from the intensity of the situation.
It is like witnessing the big bang. The emergence of a sheer infinite supply of energy from a tiny point in space.

My senses slowly recover...
The energy in my body is completely unstable. Both the dragonic and phoenix circuits have completely shut down.
As my vision normalizes I can see the disaster I have caused in front of me.
The entire landscape is partially frozen and partially on fire.
A huge crack in the landscape, starting at my feet, reaches kilometers into the distance.
At some points it is multiple meters wide.
And that was caused by nothing but the side effects of my technique.
The energy released by the attack was all directed perfectly towards the Templar, none of it touched my surroundings.

I turn around, still in slow motion.
He must be dead. Please be dead.
As I turn I notice my katana burning in a bright blue flame.
It is vibrating at an immensely high frequency, emitting a very high pitched tone.
No other material would ever have been able to contain the energy needed for this attack.
It was forged using parts of my dragonic and phoenix energy,
designed specifically to be able to hold these forces for short periods of time.

And then I see him, turning around as well.
Our eyes meet.
He is not dead.
And he is angry. Properly mad.
He swings his fully intact staff back into an attack position.
We are so screwed.

But then, a flicker of hope.
The chest plate of his armor shatters and drops to the ground revealing a long cut reaching all the way from his shoulder to his abdomen.
But even though the wound is deep, no blood is coming out of it.
He is clearly wounded though.
But so am I.

My aura took quite a hit. It wasn't him though.
Even though I controlled both energies perfectly I still damaged my aura.
But the damage is low and mostly superficial.
Small arcs of lighting are shooting across my body because of it.
I'm still operating my aura at the absolute maximum. The arcs are caused by energy leaking out of the tiny damaged spots.

But then all the hope I just gathered vanishes.
A second Templar emerges from a portal.
And the first one doesn't even seem to be in that bad of a shape after my attack.
We need to run. We need to run now.
But I don't know how.

Energy emerges from below the ground. Yes! There's still a chance.
During the short downtime Yuya managed to collect a huge concentration of water below the ground and cast her Leviathan.
It bursts out from below the ground and both the Templars disappear within it.
An attack of truly godlike proportions.

But this won't be enough time. It'll buy us maybe a tenth of a second, not enough to cast my phoenix wings and get us out.
I need to buy more time.
I blink towards Yuya and summon the huge phoenix wings on my back, and focus as much phoenix energy as I can.
I will block a single attack.
This should provide enough time for Yuya to draw a portal.
Maybe portaling will buy us enough time for me to use the phoenix teleportation, which they cannot follow.
This is one of the situations where it is truly advantageous that we share our thoughts.

I stand strong before her, surrounding us with a divine energy shield.
I'm putting all the force that I have left into it.
Yuya is casting a portal on the ground in the mean time.
Point one of a second... come on!

A beam of light breaks the Leviathan body and hits my energy shield hard.
A purely energy based attack.
The ground around is disintegrates under the force.
Only the parts within my shield remain intact.
But I won't be able to hold this for the tenth of a second we need.
It will collapse too early.

I start shrinking it to conserve energy.
Right now it is encompassing my huge phoenix wings. I won't need those to survive.
I shrink it all the way down until it only protects our bodies.
My wings burn to ashes as they touch the outer limits of the shield.
It hurts. It hurts so much.
How long can a tenth of a second last?

My wings are nearly completely gone now.
We are kneeling, the shield diameter is down a meter and a half.
And then finally the portal forms below my feet and we fall through.
We enter the wormhole created by the portal.
Blood from my broken wings streams into it.

It goes far... very far.
Yuya casted a portal towards a location much farther away than I've ever been.
This might buy us the time we need.
We emerge from the other end of the wormhole, onto a barren planet.
I immediately summon the phoenix wings on my left arm and try to make us enter the fabric of space and get us home.
Yuya nearly collapses under the exhaustion of having casted this portal right after the Leviathan.

The wings materialize and I can sense our bodies shifting into the fabric.
Both Templars appear out of nowhere closely in front of us.
But this will work. This is enough time.
The wound I caused on one of them is already in the process of healing.
What the fuck? How... ?
The other one smiles at me.

"Run little dragon! Run! We will get you soon enough!"

Followed by a maniacal laughter.
Finally we disappear into the fabric of space and are transported to Haven.
As we emerge, we drop to the ground exhausted.
My entire body is shaking, either from fear or because I pushed my body too far, I'm not sure.

"I'm sorry. I thought we had more time."

I knew it would happen. Somewhere deep within I knew it would happen after I fought the first one of them.
He was weaker, sort of a run-away or something, no longer obeying the Templar collective.
I never imagined that the others would be so much more powerful.

"I need to become stronger... much stronger."

She looks at me in a very sad way.
I have never seen her sad before. She is always so happy and full of energy.

"I'm so sorry. I did not bring you back for this, I don't want you to have to fight again."
"Of course you didn't. But it is inevitable. I will have to fight. I will have to fight again."
"If this is what it takes to be here again then I will fight... "

I look at my still shaking hands.
I am so strong already. So immensely powerful.
Yet, I still stand no chance against them, no chance whatsoever.
Not even in a two on one fight.
I think about the journey ahead of me.
I'm going to need help... I'm going to need a lot of help...
2. Lucid Bug, Spraying The Trees - 05262012 - 2nd Dream

by , 05-27-2012 at 12:15 AM
I have never been an insect before in a flying dream. The feeling was incredible.

I’m an employee of the Department of Natural Development, amagical division that is responsible for many of the changes seen in nature. Certainaspects of the natural world do not occur without the aid and assistance ofmagical beings like me. We are capable of becoming the tiniest of people, andthis makes us perfectly suited to our jobs.
As I walk through the office to put up my briefcase and grabmy equipment I immediately become lucid and realize that I need to activate myshrinking power before I take off. I walk into a special staging room designedfor transformations and I shrink to insect size. Everything around me becomesthe tallest of towers as my perspective changes. The feeling is almostsickening.
My equipment has also shrunk and I place the safety straparound my body, hooking into the harness and the lock that attaches to my belt.Next to me is a switch and I press it, which allows me to exit the room beforesomeone else comes in, preventing people from being squished.
I leave the officebuilding and I find myself flying over a crowd of people walking along a busysidewalk. I pass by several very close, feeling a little daring, and a youngman actually swats at me though his slow hand comes nowhere close. As I gainaltitude I’m laughing, both at how good this feels and how awesome it is toevade his swatting hand. He looks annoyed as he talks on his cell phone.
My little wings are making a buzzing sound, though I knowthey aren’t real wings like those of an insect. They’re manufactured to imitatethe sound of a fly or bee, speeding me to my work. I wear office clothes despite my need toappear like an insect, and the only thing keeping me from being seen is myincredibly small size and super-fast speed.
I fly into a grouping of redbuds, or perhaps cherry trees,I’m not sure which. Both trees appear similar in spring, white flowers thatchange colors as the season develops. I am carrying a sprayer, a machine thatappears like a high-powered blower, and my job is to spray the scent onto theflowers. Without me, the trees would have no smell and people wouldn’tappreciate the trees as much. Without me….well…how else would the scent getthere?
Flitting in and out of the branches is exhilarating, and Ishare the air with bees and butterflies, though neither comes near me fearing thesound of my wings. The vibrations make other creatures stay clear of me, and Iam free to spray the trees without interruption. I think about how cluelessregular people are and what they would think if they knew about the sprayingthat I’m doing.
And then I wake up.

3. Lucid Magic 05212012 - First Dream

by , 05-25-2012 at 12:57 AM
I had this lucid and it was one of the most incredible and thought-provoking experiences. I hope I do this again.

I’m aware as I slip into sleep, and I find myself lying on abook in the middle of a magical landscape. The walls of the room are gone and theworld I’m in is nothing like anything I’ve encountered before. Here anything ispossible, and my scene is so fluid that some objects do not even have shape. Those that do have form do not resemble structures or objects that I’m familiarwith, and I find myself staring at what’s around me.
Beneath the book I’m lying on there is no visible ground. The light seems to come from every direction, and is a shade of red I’m not normallyacquainted with. The light seems to fill not only the scene but also be part ofmany of the objects I see.
As I look around and become aware of what’s around me I havemoments of clarity, and each moment corresponds to a different wave of energypassing over me and through all the objects within my view. As each wave hitsthe objects it causes changes in their levels of illumination, each becomingbriefly brighter as though charged with power.
Behind my back and also on the book is a four-foot highblock, though it might be part of the book itself. It occasionally pokes me inthe back, and it’s hot. I briefly become aware that my daughter is kicking mein my back in real life, but in the dream this is represented by the spikyshape poking me.
As the waves of energy pass over I realize they are waves ofthought, stemming from my occasional awareness of the real world, and as thewaves strike the objects they not only light up but resonate. Everything vibrates, and the frequency is different depending on whether the object is good or evil.Good objects are filled with a brighter form of illumination, like an internalwhite light. All evil objects become dark from within and have shades of blackmixed in with the red. Their resonance is similarly affected, though this isharder to describe. The whole scenegives me some anxiety, though it could also stem from the shape poking me inthe back.
As I shift back and forth between sleep and a hazy awarenessof the real world I discover I can move objects into and out of the dream. Theonly objects around me are my stuffed dog and my pillow. Feeling safer with mypillow’s bigger size, I bring it into the dream. It’s a lot comfier than thebook and it helps shield me from the sharp pokes I’m still getting in the back. It shines with a white glow and itssubstance pulsates with a pattern of light wholly different than everythingelse I can see. It’s softer, too.
I feel like I’m about to come to some conclusion about thenature of objects in the universe, and how they relate to conscious thought, but then I wake up.

4. Childlike Empress and WILD ants

by , 05-20-2012 at 09:49 PM
I wrote these up late last night before going to bed. They are dreams I had yesterday but didn't put down in words until very late.

The first is just a remembered fragment. The second is a WILD that occurred during my nap. My daughter woke me up from that. *cry*

Dream 1 - I keep referring to my daughter as the childlike empress, though I am trying to convey the message of young daughter. Still, I don’t seemto be able to let go of this phrase. It might have something to do with mysurroundings which appear slightly like a castle wall, with large stone bricksall around.
I spend some time pondering why I can’t let go of the word“childlike” and I even try to explain it to someone in the dream but I neverseem to get the words out properly.

Dream 2 (WILD) -

I find myself slipping into sleep during my nap and I’maware of my sleep state, a successful WILD without trying for one. I’m beingsurrounded by ants, which I hate more than anything, yet they seem to multiplyin number by the second. Realizing it’s a dream and that I have control I usemy magical powers to simply wave them away. This image is likely induced bywatching too much Harry Potter recently, and I’m conscious that the effect issimilar.
I’m rather pleased with myself, being able to dispense magicwith just my hands, not needing a wand like most people with magic. My handsdon’t glow but I can feel power in them, and I want to try something else.
And then I wake up.

5. Time dilation - Fighting Yuya - Closing my eyes

by
Hyu
, 05-07-2012 at 02:42 AM (Hyu's Adventures)
This one is kind of old and happened right after my last entry.
I haven't really found the time to write it down until now.
My dreams are also getting kind of long, which is amazing, but also kind of a pain to write down.

The time is ticking.
I have no choice but to diffuse the bomb, there is no way we'll get out of the explosion radius in time.
I quickly grab an electric screwdriver from my back pocket and start removing the digital clock mounted on top of the bomb.
There is less than one minute left on the timer.

"Hurry up!"
"Shut it!"

Removing the clock reveals a highly complex maze of cabling.
Screw this!
I remove the electronics as well, in the hopes of finding a simpler set of cabling leading to the warhead.
Fortunately I am right. The whole electronics are wired to the warhead by only two thick cables.
I can do this!
But my short burst of confidence is quickly shattered by a rather troublesome discovery.
The warhead is nuclear.
How the fuck did this happen? How did anyone manage to acquire a nuclear fucking bomb?

A quick look at the dismantled clock reveals that I have 7 seconds left.
I decide to cut one of the cables at random.

"I know this setup! Cut the red one!"

I move my knife to the red cable, but it shifts colors with the other yellow one.
Whenever I switch, the cable colors switch as well. It's impossible to cut the red one. WTF!

Seeing the last few seconds run out, I notice that I'm not really scared to die.
I wonder why that is.

Oh...

Yeah...
I start rubbing my hands but am interrupted by the bomb hitting zero and audibly powering up.
Well... this is not good. I might wake up because of that.
I think about quickly portaling the bomb away before it goes off, but then I notice that it is plugged into the wall with an extension cord.
Really?
I unplug it and the warhead turns off.
Lol.

I resume rubbing my hands but I am yet again interrupted, this time by the DC that was with me.
I unsummon him because I have no time to deal with DC's right now.
I need to stabilize the dream and get my second lesson in time dilation...

... I'm in Haven with Yuya and Liv.
I have trouble stabilizing the dream but eventually manage to get there.
Once stable I immediately get back to doing the awareness technique from the previous dream, sort of to show off in case Yuya tests me.
But she doesn't. There is simply no need, she is fully aware of my thoughts and how aware I am right now.
Liv is curious about what we are doing and I have a difficult time explaining it to her.
She is unaware of the difficulty of remaining in a dream or the concept of stability.

We walk along a path that I remember. I've been here before but I cannot quite remember what I was doing.
Then I see the water pools, yep, this is the fighting practice area.
Yuya starts walking onto one of the pools and I follow her.
Walking on water is second nature to me nowadays, but thinking back, it's the first thing that Yuya taught me when I met her again.

I suddenly get goosebumps and instinctively power up and take a defensive stance.
Huh? It was Yuya.I felt the shock of her suddenly powering up.

"Nice reaction!"
"Cheers. What are we doing?"

I barely manage to block her attack as she blinks towards me.
Without my recent training she would have knocked me unconscious with this.
I'm kind of in the mood to fight her now, I wonder how I compare to her nowadays.
I smile.

"Awareness Hyu."
"What? Oh, you've got to be kidding me! During a fight???"
"Why? Are you scared that I'll slap you across the face?"
"Hahaha, alright, let's do this!"

I awaken the dragon and charge towards her.
She easily blocks all of my attacks. No surprise there though.
So far so good, I manage to remain fully aware of my surroundings.
The fight is pretty tame, I don't get myself into uncomfortable positions, have I gotten closer to the skill level of Yuya?

She summons her pressurized spheres.
Well shit. I forgot about those.
The spheres are horribly dangerous and difficult to fight against.
She basically creates 5 water spheres about the size of a basket balls.
Then she compresses them down to the size of a grain of sand.
I'm not even sure how it's possible to compress a liquid at all.

The pressure of these spheres is immense. They can be used both defensively and offensively.
She moves them around telepathically at extreme speeds and can make them burst whenever she wants,
releasing the contained water at extreme pressures, cutting through anything in their way.

You really can't let them touch you unless you don't mind loosing a limb.
Fighting against them requires a lot of blinking, which causes stability problems due to the distorted vision.

It would be rather useful to have my katana right now, but I'm not using it in a practice battle with Yuya, it's too dangerous.
I don't use the dragon eyes either, because the thought on using them on a friend scares the shit out of me.
In return she doesn't use her water extraction technique, which I wouldn't know how to fight against.
I only saw her use it once in a fight.
Within a split second she extracted the entire blood from her enemy and he died on the spot.
It's a really scary technique.

What am I doing?
I'm thinking too much. I should look for openings instead and strike whenever I see one.
But Yuya is way too skilled to provide such an opening, I'll have to force one.
I create and launch spheres of compressed energy at her. Those are rather explosive and fairly dangerous.
I got the idea from her water spheres. Attacks of compressed energy have their advantages.
They are much more efficient against single targets.
The technique is also cheap energy wise, so I can cast it a lot, making it an ideal tool to get someone off balance.

She is moving 3 of her water spheres into a defensive position to cope with my relentless attacks.
Time to get serious.
I make an aggressive blink, right in front of her, and try to strike her with a fist.
This is obviously not going to work, I expect her to blink away.
I'm using a multiblink attack, which is very difficult to perform.
I try to feel where she's going to blink to to dodge my attack and blink myself to the new location simultaneously.

Blinking usually has some sort of cooldown, making this impossible, but using enough energy it is possible to force it.
The energy required to do this is ludicrous though, so multiblink attacks are extremely exhausting.
But you basically put your opponent into a position where he is forced to multiblink as well to dodge the attack.
Yuya and I are skilled enough to do it about 4-5 times in a row, but after that everything hurts.
Your aura is completely unstable at that point and takes seconds to recover, during which you cannot focus your energy at all.

The reason I'm using such an attack is to nullify an immense advantage she has over me.
She doesn't need to stay lucid. She lives in this world, I am merely a visitor.

Here she goes.
2 Blinks... 3, 4, and finally a fifth.
The energy in my fist has completely dissipated due to all the blinking, and she can now easily block it.
I land on the water surface and have difficulty remaining on top due to my now unstable aura.

I attack her again, purely physically this time, as I neither of us can focus any energy.
Whoever manages to focus his energy first will have the tremendous advantage of launching the first serious attack.
I might have the advantage on this, dragonic energy is extremely unstable by nature, so I'm used to it.
I should be able to focus my energy before my aura has fully stabilized.

I can feel my aura tingling. This should be enough!
I focus energy into the tattoo stretched over my right arm and quickly cast a fire based attack towards Yuya.
She dodges it by blinking.
How the hell can she do that???
How is her aura stable enough already to blink?

I screwed up big time. I casted this before my aura stabilized, and now it's completely messed up again.
Yuya is over me charging towards me. She's casting a spell.
Shit, I can't do anything.
The water surface collapses beneath my feet and I am dragged underwater.
She's controlling the water, increasing it's pressure attempting to hold me in place.
I see her splash through the water surface still charging at me fast.
She is wielding a trident.

But she's overconfident. She's in her element, so she thinks I must be at a huge disadvantage.
Yet, even though I do not control water, I can make good use of it.
My aura stabilizes and I create an extremely strong electric field in front of me.
Electrolysis! I split water into hydrogen and oxygen. The correct mixture is highly explosive.
She realizes what I've done too late and I ignite the mixture with a fire sphere.

Oh shit. I didn't think this through.
The explosion is huge and we are both catapulted out of the water.
Everything is extremely foggy because so much water evaporated and water drops are going everywhere.
I can barely see. This is really dangerous, the dream could collapse.
I don't even know where up and down is.

I decide to completely ignore my vision and rely on my sense of global awareness instead.
Good call! I sense 5 sources of compressed energy approaching. Water spheres!
I quickly locate Yuya's aura and blink towards her.
I catch her slightly of guard and manage to land a focused hit.
She blocks it fine, but still.
Focused energy attacks are better to avoid than to block.
They cause all sorts of vibrations in your aura making followup moves difficult.

I try to chain a few attacks together but quickly feel the exhaustion kicking in and I back up.
Most of the water has come down and my vision becomes useful again.

She performs a blink attack.
Shit! She's going to chain them up.
We blink a total of 4 times.
It hurts so much.

This keeps going for a few more rounds.
One of us performs a multiblink attack and gets us both completely out of position.
Then it's a race to the first attack and a matter of somehow defending against it.
It is absolutely exhausting.
My limbs become insanely heavy and I start to loose the ability to focus my energy properly.
We fight for maybe a total of 15 minutes, which is actually quite a long time considering the speed we're going at.

"Alright... let's call it a draw..."
"No... I win."

Oh come on. She's just as exhausted as I am, she can barely stand.

"You lost awareness of your surroundings."
"Fuck my life."
"Haha. You completely forgot!"
"..."
"And guess what? You're still here."
"Huh? I thought the goal of this was to remain aware of my surroundings."
"No, that's not the goal at all. The goal is to have deeper dreams. The goal is to remain here for longer."

...
Wait what?

"Hold on a second!"

She got that grin of her face.
That "she knows everything" grin.

"You're telling me the heightened awareness thing isn't actually necessary to stay lucid???"
"Of course not! How would you pull that off for multiple hours in a row?"
"..."
"I said your awareness level was too random, we did some training to fix that."
"So you're saying it is already fixed?"
"I am now convinced that it is already fixed."

Woah. That was fast.

"So.. what are we doing now?"
"Teaching you to let go."

Let go? Let go of waking life?
Not thinking about it all the time and rather focus on the dream?
Of course... she told me many times before...

I take a quick dip in the water to get rid of the smell.
I'm sweating like a pig.

We walk back towards Yuya's place, discussing dreaming and being awake.
I mention Dreamviews, which I haven't done very often before.
Yuya tells me to say hi to fOrceez and Dark_Merlin.
Liv doesn't say a word. I don't think she's ever seen Yuya and me fight, that must have been quite intense for her.

Damn... I'm so exhausted.
Why do you even get exhausted in dreams?

"Why wouldn't you?"
"Eh... yeah..."
"Indeed."
"So, what do I do against it?"
"... are you serious?"

>_<

"You sleep of course! Or did you think I would sleep just for fun?"
"Well... now that you put it this way."

Liv leaves us and we quickly get into bed.
Goddamn I'm exhausted. Every muscle in my body hurts.

"This is a problem"
"What is?"
"If I want to sleep I'll have to close my eyes."
"So?"
"I might wake up?"
"zzz, you've picked up a lot of nonsense"
"I have?"
"These 'dream rules'. Darkness is bad, don't close your eyes. Don't talk. Yada yada."
"Yeah, I kinda have, haven't I?"
"I know the not talking one is nonsense, I talk all the time."
"It's no different for closing your eyes."
"I know you're right. I only wake up because I'm scared that I might. But it seems hard to get over."

"Pff... hahahaha"
"What's so funny?"
"Hurr hurr, I'm a badass dragon, I can fight a goddess of water and do all sorts of shit."
"Yet I can't even close my eyes.... haha.... I'm sorry Hyu, but this is funny."

It kind of is.
Screw it. Let's do this shit!
I close my eyes.

"You know, when you exploded half of the fucking training pool you didn't see anything either."
"That didn't wake you up, so why would closing your eyes do so?"

Yep, my thoughts exactly.
I open my eyes again to sneak a closer look at her.

WHAT THE FUCK?
How am I awake? What is this shit?
I'm a bit mad, but happy to have made progress.
I take some quick notes and go back to sleep.
6. The courtyard with the alien, blob people, and foot potion

by , 05-07-2012 at 02:38 AM (Sea of the Unconscious)
I was at my house, standing in a courtyard. We had three spare bedrooms on one side of the house, and a building with three dilapidated rooms out in a courtyard.

I became soaked, apparently it was pouring outside. I went in my house and into one of the spare bedrooms. I stripped all of my clothes off and hopped into bed. A lady friend of mine was in the room the whole time. Whoops! Clothing goes back on. Lady friend’s boyfriend comes in, and we all hop on a train ride. I think I see mountains and deserts?

The scene changed to being in the dilapidated courtyard rooms, and I was no longer a character in this portion. In the room was a man carrying a huge fish (catfish?) and a woman in a dress; the room they were in was as big as a warehouse. Time seems to skip. The fish is gone, and the woman is naked and bleeding. Blood covers her back, and it smears her stomach and limbs. She’s bleeding, but I can’t see any lacerations. The man believes that the woman is an alien, and is trying to beat the truth out of her. He believes that an alien cannot die. He takes a narrow mixer beater and stabs her in the stomach with it, sliding it across her abdomen and it spins in her abdomen, just like how it would spin in a mixer. The lady whispers “I am not the alien. You are.”

The woman dies, and the man is sad. He looks up and notices that the walls are filled with what used to be babies and people. The lady had killed these people with magic, which caused the people and babies to come back to life as non-sentient blob people. The blob people had magical powers, so the man used the blobs’ magic to bring the lady back to life. Once alive again, the lady takes one of her feet, placing her right hand on the heel and left on the toes. She pushes them together, the foot curving so that the toes and heel become close. A few drops come out of her foot. She squeezes her other foot in the same fashion, squeezing a few drops out of the foot like one would do with a lemon. Her foot potion has healing properties. She shares her foot potion with the alien man to keep them both healthy and to give them clear complexions.
7. Running From Monsters

by , 05-05-2012 at 04:05 AM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
I was being chased by some people or some monsters. I was inside a building. Dark-yellowish tint. I was in the hallway. Behind me, there's a humanoid monster. I ran, but then found there's another one up ahead. I found a small, open "space" seemingly "carved" on the wall, with a couple of small boxes. I went there and covered my head and feet with the boxes, hoping it's too dark, and that the monsters are too stupid to realize it was me. Then, a spotlight moved about, and found me. The monsters went after me. I struggled and ran out.

I went outside the streets, jumped down the overpass, and grabbed on to the cyclone wire as I was falling down, and ran down the street to find a car. I found an auto and jumped in. I asked the driver where he's going. He said a word or place, but I forgot what it was. He looks cute, and he wears semi-formal clothes.

He does not seem to mind I'm there, and I think he was even humming as we drove through the traffic. I keep looking around, in case we might actually be headed where I don't want to be.

Then we were walking down the street. I keep looking back at him in case he gets snatched by the enemy. He looks very calm.

Fast forward, we were "racing" on the street. Running. There are people and monsters ahead of us. I raised my right hand, and a great light shone from my palms, and the enemies scattered. Then the "road" was a river, and then suddenly, the water fell below us: a waterfall. Yellow sky. I grabbed him and "redirected" our fall to a nearby wall.

We hid there. It's a small space on cliff, surrounded by low-lying walls. Just across, we can see it's a "base" of the enemy. We just waited there. Eventually, an ally passed by. A security guard who feels familiar. He probably has been in my previous dreams. He said everything's safe. We went "down" to the house. The one across has a new owner. Looked like my high school classmate Ken. He's with his family there. For some reason, I thought he might be angry at me for "killing" something or someone of his. A pet? I think I killed his "pet" to protect mine. Our eyes met.
8. Catching up

by , 04-17-2012 at 03:38 AM (My Dear Subconscious)
I havent been on in a few days so these are my dreams from the past few nights.
• Werewolves at burgerking: I went to a fast food restaurant with my friends and the two girls that worked there turned into these dog human things.. not really a werewolf but close enough. (somehow i dissapeared and just watched the rest of it) They captured my friends and stuck them in a van and were about to eat them and i woke up before anything happened.
• Grandparents house with lesbians: For some reason i had a dream that i was attracted to women (which i am not). And i had two girls that wanted me. We were all hanging out at my grandparents house and things were a bit different. There were witches things and herbs everywhere and i saw one of my "girls" get possessed by some sort of cloaky shadow. Then, out of nowhere my friend dalian shows up and bring his entire family. Which was extremely awkward because dalian is african american and so is his whole family whilst mine is caucasion.
• Cuddling with my ex: I used to be dating a guy over the internet that i have never met in real life before and i havn't spoken to him in weeks. The other night i had a dream that me and Raine (yes that was his name) were together and we were cuddling on the couch and then i used his lap as a pillow. :/
• Exploring a barn: (partly lucid) I was exploring a barn that's pretty close to my house with some friends and i gained lucidity and started hovering. but shortly after i couldnt hold it and i woke up. too bad.
9. Cocaine vs. Wine?

by , 04-11-2012 at 05:29 AM
I'm starting my DJ at a random time, but better than nothing! I usually get lazy in writing down my dreams but hopefully I won't this time. I'll try to keep at it. I don't really like writing my dreams down, but eh.

Anyways, I had a semi-simple dream. I don't remember all of the details but the general idea is still there. In this dream, I was really just running. I was running on a dark blue-ish path, like running across the night sky. I don't think I saw any stars because I was "running" through the clouds and it was all dark blue with blotches of random blue shades. As I was running, I felt nothing but euphoria through out my limbs. Usually if someone's running, they feel fatigue and soreness in the muscles, but euphoria in the mind only - that's how my body works, anyway. I remember in my mind, I was saying "YES, I found the secret to not feeling tired when I run! It's wine!" Wine? What wine? I looked around and saw a bottle of wine in my hand. This warm and magical sensation in my body felt similar to a cocaine high. I felt a smile stretch across my face because apparently I didn't have to be a cocaine addict in my dream anymore. Just so I didn't have to feel fatigue and pain. I realized this was a dream because I was in the sky. And then I woke up.

10. Manfred's Diner, and Magical Horses

My dad has taken me and the family to Manfred’s Restaurant,in San Francisco. Manfred’s is a diner-style burger joint, complete with boothsand a long bar with barstools. Behind the bar is where the waitresses stand, taking orders and serving up witty remarks.

At the end of the bar, far from the door, two old guys sitand talk, and by their appearance and familiarity with each other it’s obviousthey sit here every day, rain or shine. Both men are in long overcoats and havetheir hats sitting on the bar next to their food.

We are led to a booth somewhere near the back of therestaurant, across from the old guys. I ask if the burgers are really big, andthe waitress holds up a plate with a massive burger on it. The bun is threetimes normal size, the meat is double-layered and heavy, and the cheese ismelting out the sides, peeking out from under the lettuce and tomato. Somepickle slices are on the side.

“That is a BIG burger, “I tell her.

“You bet it is!” the two old men chime in unison.

“…but I don’t want to see even a single pickle with myburger, do you understand me?” I try to make this last point clear withoutsounding like an ass.

The waitress replies, “No problem!” She turns around to submitthe order to the short-order cook behind her.

While my order is cooking I decide to leave my group andstep outside, for air or a change of scenery I don’t know. What I see outsideis so unexpected I nearly drop my jaw in amazement.

Standing in front of me, larger than life, are magic horses.I know of no other way to describe the sight before me. One horse is standingon top of another horse, perfectly balanced, and the bottom horse is walkingpast the restaurant, seemingly part of a travelling magic show, or possibly anew circus act on the way into town. I’m staring at this, just dumbfounded, amazed that such a feat is possible.

As the balancing act passes by, another horse appears to myright, and this animal is very tall, with legs twice as long as they should befor a horse. The element of magic is apparent in these animals, and I amreminded of when I was a kid staring up at animals bigger than me, wonderinghow they do what they do.

All this excitement and fanfare is passing by, and I followa crowd of people moving in the opposite direction. I have only moved a fewfeet from the door and I come upon a pile of broken glass on the sidewalk, nearthe corner of the building. Being a helpful citizen I begin picking up thelarge, red glass shards. Some are larger than my hand, and all have sharpedges. Only half way through and with my hand full I pick up one more piece ofglass and get a small cut, though the sting is enough to make me jerk my hand, spilling most of the glass back onto the sidewalk.

I’m disappointed in myself but the pain is real, so I headback towards the restaurant, knowing I can get cleaned up inside. By the door, next to a large potted plant, I come upon another pile of broken glass, and Ifind myself wondering how so much mess got there.

Inside, the restaurant is now quite crowded, packed, and Iveer to my right to where I suppose the bathroom ought to be. I go up a set of three stairs and intoanother room filled with tables and hungry patrons, looking around for the dooror hall to a bathroom but none is visible. Either the bathroom has been moved,I think, or this restaurant has no bathroom. I had intended to wash my handsafter picking up glass but I guess I won’t.

I walk back into the main part of the diner and find mydaughter sitting on one of the stools, a strange man sitting next to her andgrinning wide. I sit down between him and her and put my arm around her, suddenly mad that my dad has left her sitting here by herself, while he and myson moved to the far end of the bar to get away from the crowd and the singing.

Off to my left and closer to the door a heavyset man isbelting out an almost operatic melody, but somehow it is comical and garish. Heis dressed in a blue cape, covering a white shirt and wide pants. He has a tallblack hat on his head, and is sporting a large, dark mustache. I presume he issome form of Italian opera clown, and I turn my back to him and his awkwardappearance.

I want to move down to the end by my dad, but suddenly Ifind myself on a moving bar stool, one of the most unusual experiences I’veever had in a restaurant. My stool is still attached to the floor, but thesection of the floor below me is moving, taking me and my stool in an ovulararc around the restaurant.

The other customers in the diner find this weird also, andmore than half of them leave, put off by a combination of confusion at themoving floor and the really bad singing by the fat man at the door. I don’tblame them.

After three or four spins around the room the circulating floorstops, and I come to a rest halfway down the bar from where I had been.Standing up I find myself dizzy, wobbly, and disoriented, an odd sensation fora dream. I can’t recall ever experiencing this in a dream before, and I have abrief hint at lucidity.

I walk over to my dad, still sitting at the end of the bar,and I ask him where my burger is.

“Oh, I sent that bad boy home.” He says almost gruffly, gesturing at the counter waitress. I presume he means he sent it back, and I amupset that my burger is gone. I’m hungry, and I need something to make up forthe glass and orbiting stool.

“No, it’s in here.” The waitress opens up my daughter’sbackpack and inside is my burger and the awesome French fries it comes with. Ilook around but there are no pickles, so I am satisfied.

Fast forward to the drive home; We are in my SUV, drivingtowards Alameda, and I’m talking to my dad casually. As we approach a freewayunderpass I turn to him and say, “I love you very much, dad, but if you ever doanything like that again, I’ll kill you.” I mean this in a non-violent way, jokingly, to emphasize how I didn’t like him leaving my daughter or placing myfood in her backpack, but I pause and contemplate what I just said, and I feelbad. I don’t want him to think I hate him, though I am upset, and now my mindis lost in thoughts of remorse.

I suddenly comeback to reality and find that no one isdriving the SUV, and I literally ask, “Who’s driving the car?”
And then I wake up.
11. Fighting Cartoon Dolphins in a Hotel Room

by , 03-31-2012 at 07:34 PM (The Inner Workings of a Sound Addict)
I've had zero recall the last two nights, so this morning, waking up frustrated, I gave myself a lie in and thankfully entered a dream instantly.

---

30/3/12

I'm in a hotel room with some others, though I don't remember who any of them were, or if they were significant. Instead of carpet, however, the floor consists of miniature seas, oceans and waterfalls, as well as small areas of grassy land. Enemy cartoon dolphins appear and attack, springing from their hiding places under the water's surface to engage us in a fight.

Scrolling through a Skyrim-themed menu, I search for an effective spell to use against these creatures, but find none. Instead, I attack with my bare fists. Soon after, however, I remember my spell 'sparks' (which I happen to use in Skyrim) and aim it at the large body of water. The electricity spreads across the whole room, killing every dolphin instantly, but only lightly shocking my friends still in the water. At this point, the water changes colour and texture to that of a red and grey carpet.

12. Dragons, and wise words.

by , 02-24-2012 at 01:59 PM (Enter the mind of Ladendais)
I do not particularly remember a lot of this dream, but I do remember bits and pieces that I would like to write down. My memory picks up standing outside of my old middle school, and I am standing next to a rather old individual that closely resembles some sort of elf. I am apparently a certain race that has been trained by this elf, and I am asking a few questions about various topics. When I asked "How long have you been training people?" he simply responded in a rather wise crack tone, "I've been training your people for billions of years". Just after he said that he cast some sort of magic on me and he flew away into the distance. I assume this magic was some sort of "Dragon speak" like the type on Skyrim. Shards of rocks began to sprout out of my body, and I started yelling as I circled up into the air. My voice was very loud, and with each shout a feeling of pure awe came over me and it was getting stronger by the second. I remember calling out for "Talos" and a huge dragon flew from the sky, bigger than anything I remember seeing within my dreams before.

The feeling that I had was simply mind blowing, words cannot describe, but epic would be the best way to confer the feeling. I soon find myself inside of the school setting within the halls with this giant dragon, and I seem to be questioning him as I pet him. I cannot remember the conversation between myself and this dragon, but I do remember that his words were wise. This has to be one of the most memorable dreams I have ever had simply because the scale of this dragon was just unimaginable, and the feelings of power and overall excitement were overwhelming.
13. Magic Castle/Fortress

by , 02-18-2012 at 07:18 PM
Dream starts off with 5 City kids (based off of that 70's show) waking up, and walking around a destroyed city. There's nobody there, but they see a large portal (white, but looks like the one behind Taerar) inside of a building, 1/2 of the building smashed to pieces. They decide to go in, and find themselves in a large, demonic castle. The ruler of the castle and the realm, (name not remembered) approaches the kids (he looks like a badass timmy turner villain when he wants to beat his parents, venom/black/red mix in that form) the kids see that they got transformed into adults, fit with robin hood-ish gear. The ruler says "Hello and welcome to the GAME. My name is (?), and we're going to have some fun (half smile-sneer). If you want to escape this nightmare realm, you have to defeat me. Now minions, ATTACK!" So the kids run, they still have no clue what to do with weapons. They go somewhere outside of the forest (looks like your HUGE backyard. Neighbor that has a yard really far down is an endless prairie. south neighbors are a forest. Other neighbors are a continuation of the giant fortress. This is all around the castle, so south = forest, east = prairie, west = more forest). The kids end up in a small camp somewhere in the forest. At this point in the game, you switch from playing the robin hood guy to a starter in the fortress. He is sitting out by the east wall of the yard, (everything is HUGE by the way), watching the birds. He tries to speak to them in any way he can. He speaks in a hushed tone, and manages to command the birds to poop on a place he pointed at. In the dream, this was called the language of Yeshmin, but... no, just no. At this point, another guard comes to him and says that the master needs him, fast. ATTENTION: At this point, i'll say that the demons use all spells, and the kids use weapons like bows, arrows, etc. Once outside the gate of the fortress, they see some demons that are trying to destroy the fortress. They resemble dark Illidan/lock metamorphosis forms, while the guards resemble Daedra from Oblivion. Your character uses a mind flay type spell, but the yeshmin language just before. the demon is destroyed in a melting way, and the guards are whispering behind you saying "he spoke the language of yeshmin.." Your character knows this is not approved by the master, and runs into the forest. Some time later, he meets up with the kids, and throws up his hands to say "dont shoot or attack! i'm not going to hurt you!" The kids ask him about why, and he tells them the story. The kids ask him to teach them the language of yeshmin, and he tells them that he only knows the basic "poop" word.. I WOKE UP

14. We're Just Going for a Walk. Really.

2/10/2012
There are some little kids using a slide at a playground. The unpopular ones get teased.

I finally see a doctor. He says I have lung cancer advanced 10 months. That's just lovely.

I'm at my grandparents' house (they're different people than my real grandparents, but I won't realize that until I wake up). I have a boyfriend. I'm pretty sure it's a guy, anyway, because the grandparents want us staying in separate rooms (I often don't remember the gender of DC's). My boyfriend finds out that I am a virgin and insists I must have sex because it is amazing. I'm not too sure about this, but I go along for now. We cannot, of course, risk being caught by the grandparents. We are going to head to a place where we can experiment without being caught. I'm not at all sure about this intercourse thing because of the risks (pregnancy, etc.). I guess we could just, er, play around?

We're outside, walking toward the other building. It is up a steep, curving dirt slope. Like spiral staircase curving. There are a lot of trees around, mostly pines. We walk for some time. There may have been other people at some point. I'm really quite uncomfortable with what we're going to do. The other building had only a few rooms, and I don't think the lock on the bedroom door works. I've been telling my boyfriend for a while now that I want to turn back. I'm afraid of being caught. I am hurt, somehow, emotionally or physically. I don't quite remember. I don't think it was intentional. We turn back. There is some sort of ride or fall.

I woke up an hour earlier than usual, so I decide to try to sleep some more after writing down my dreams so far. I have a vague idea that I could try a WILD if I am actually tired enough to fall back asleep, but I don't really make much effort.

Two guys are coming out of the woods. There is a lot of snow. They're stuck above some railing, at the edge of a relatively short dropoff above a road. One asks for help getting down. Someone below helps him down, but too far. He does a faceplant on the road below and is run over before he can get up. The second guy is terrified and does not want 'help'.

I'm in a strange bathroom. It's small and awkward and dirty. I give up trying to use it. I vaguely remember something about my mom, like she was in the same building.

I am a magic-using shape-shifter named Simon (usually I just look human so as not to scare people though). We're fighting against some bad, evil stuff, including some black dragons. I have an older-mentor friend who is a shape-shifter like me. Everyone else (except maybe that one kid) is human though. Later, the humans trap and bind me, preventing me from using my special powers. I am miserable and resentful, being kept prisoner. And I think that mentor-guy may have betrayed me somehow.

I took notes about my dreams, so I'm not worried about writing down the whole thing right away, as I'm lying in bed after waking. Then I look over at my journal, and it's blank. I really need to learn to RC every time I write in my journal...
15. First Lucid

Me and about five other people are in front of a medium sized tree in my grandma's front yard. Then I randomly say this is a DREAM!!! I then look at a leaf on the tree and actually see the pollen on the leaf. I run half way to the back yard and remember to try a spell. I didn't even know what the spell was supposed to do but it failed. Then I run around the house and somebody who I don't even really talk to comes around the corner and starts screaming in the distance for my dream guide but then I woke up. It was awesome
