    1. #45 - Poetic Racing/Geology Field Camp/Airport

Couldn't write this up yesterday, had trouble getting onto DV.

The whole night of dreaming felt stressful, like there was just some part of each dream that made me stressed out.

      Dream 1 - Poetic Racing
Intensely sporadic images of random animated over-the-top car racing, similar to the movie 'Redline' (which I had watched before going to bed). Insanely nonsensical, there was poetry too that felt unfinished. Like the sentences had been started but were left hanging.

Dream 2 - Geology Field Camp
Out in the paddock there's something like 50+ tents full of students. We're camping out on farmland for the 2 week field trip as part of a university paper. I get up during the night to go take a leak, but I just couldn't find a good place to go. I ended up going further than I needed to, and I must have woken some of the other students up. They came up to me and asked me where I was going and I told them I was looking for a good place to go, they joked around a bit saying stuff like 'why'd you walk out so far man' and I agreed, since I thought it was dumb and odd too (possibly an inkling of the feeling I may be dreaming). I then head back to find a closer place to go, they kick a shovel my way that I can use to dig a hole or something, and I whistle back in thanks. Unfortunately, my whistling triggers a super loud alarm which wakes everyone up! "Oh come on Alex! Jesus what the hell man", I just feel super stressed out, like 'oh god...' I just knew it was going to piss everyone off and they'd be talking shit about be for ages.

      Dream Fragment
Somewhere at school, my friends showed up but it was really awkward due to an old 'love triangle' we used to have. The guy was dating the girl and we nearly had a fight because of the history.

      Dream 3 - Airport
Me and my mum are driving to the airport, crazy random stuff starts happening to some of stuff the in the scenery, it just changes each time I look. The planes at the airport change into words, the change into vibrant colours, they stretch out, shrink, flatten, enlarge, and move to random places. The then change into beautiful retarded white horses, one of which was walking backwards with its head on the ground. We arrive at the airport and try to find a parking space, but they're all taken. We see a car back out and move in to try take the space, but we're outside the car now and the car has shrunken to the size of a book. I position it in the parking space which just feels to narrow, and there is an Indian man with his daughter sitting in a trolley, he's texting and is oblivious to our efforts of parking. He also happens to be quite close and when I finally manage to re-enlarge the car (first I had tried to wet it by rubbing saliva on it. Weird. Then I threw it on the ground) it nearly clipped the daughter in the trolley. The Indian man had a rant off at me and I had to remind him it was his fault, since he was texting and should have being paying attention (Sounds pretty harsh, but he wasn't very nice). Me and my mum continue into the airport, which appears to be more like a supermarket. I tell my mum that we should check out the horses and see if its safe to show to my daughter, we head over there but now they've changed AGAIN. One of them looks like a unicorn, one of them has a rhino horn. Some of them have long blonde flowing hair. Some of them look like rhinos, one had a fake rhino nose and long blonde hair. There was also a pygmy horse with stumpy little legs galloping around, all of the horses + rhinos had white fur. My dad shows up with my daughter and she's had her hair done, my mum is impressed and asks if he did it but he said no, it was her other grandma that did it.

    2. Tour de France (NLD)

      by , 10-26-2014 at 04:07 AM
I was participating in the Tour de France, except there were no bicycles involved. At first I was swimming in a river. There were other people swimming around me, including little babies and their mothers. The babies were eligible for a special award if they could swim well on their own, but in one case we noticed the mother secretly helping her infant by supporting it from under the water, so it was disqualified.

I didn't like being stuck in a group of people, so I exerted some effort to swim ahead of them and find my own space. It made me think about the huge variation in human athletic ability. In a long distance race like this, some people were already hours ahead. I figured I was probably somewhere in the middle, and I was sure that there would still be people hours behind me. I didn't feel any pressure to compete against others or try to finish the race quickly; it felt like the sort of event that one could complete at one's own speed.

Under the water I could see seaweed in a form that resembled bundles of thick green ropes, stretching endlessly in the direction the river flowed. They looked like they were flowing along too, so I grabbed them to see if I could catch a ride, but they were moving slower than I could swim on my own so I let go again. The race course led me out of the river and now I was running on land down a quiet little house-lined street, like a small village.

I was still thinking about that strange ropy seaweed. It had reminded me of thick cables of the sort that might carry electricity or another kind of signal. What would it be like if our society used biological materials like this for our technological infrastructure? I decided to try out the material, so I manifested a hand made out of the same stuff as the seaweed. It resembled a human hand in shape but was not connected to a body, and was light green in color. Mischievously, I made the hand crawl up the porch of the nearest house and pull the string of the bell that hung on the doorframe.

The door opened, and inside I was surprised to see that the one who opened it was not a human but a chicken, an ordinary-looking hen. She must have been a Plymouth Rock, judging from her black and white barred plumage. It reminded me of a silly line I'd heard somewhere, so I joked, "There's nobody here but us chickens!" She didn't make any response—maybe she didn't know that one?—and I was still running so I soon passed by.
    3. #35 - Obstacle course race/Looking after my daughter

Didn't really attempt a proper SSILD last night, turned off all my alarms so I could try and get a good sleep, which I did . Recalled 3 dreams but the last dream I had was forgotten while writing them into my DJ.

      Dream 1 - Obstacle course race (~4am)
Me and a lot of other people are involved in some kind of race. The scenery is typical New Zealand green bush, the track we were running along mazed around with streams on both sides. The first part of the race involved everyone running along this track, it branched off in a few directions, I decided I could try the direct route by just jumping into the shallow stream. I didn't anticipate it slowing me down so much, and eventually I climbed back up onto the track. Shortly after I reached the second part of the race, where there were rails stretching left to right along the ground, spaced about half a metre apart with tall grass and puddles between them. Everyone had to jump from rail to rail, the alternative was that you'd just trip over them trying to run across to the end of this obstacle (I seem to remember a few people breaking their ankles when they missed a rail). I leaped from rail to rail, building momentum until I had a good stride going, I became quite focused on this and nearly fell over when I bumped into a woman. We both hurried onwards, some sense of urgency kept us going in the race. I reached the end of this obstacle, and there stretched an expansive short-grass field. At the end was a playground which I identified as the finish line, to left of it I could see the corner of a fenced off tennis court (I didn't seem to really look at it, hence the corner being in my peripheral vision). Everyone that had made it to this point was sprinting off, giving it everything they had to reach the end. For some reason my running was a bit 'weird', I seemed to be skipping and flailing my arms back and forth (I believe I was trying to create a swinging momentum with each skip to propel myself further). In the dream I thought this was the best way to maximize my speed, everyone else seemed to be running normally though. I had a feeling that everyone else was worn out by now, and I managed to spot my friend M and A (I haven't seen A for a long time, he was a childhood friend who moved overseas). M was running pretty damn fast, he shouldn't have been able to since he has asthma and is pretty against exercise. To my right I noticed that it seemed like a nice sunset was happened, and the hill sloped upwards in its direction, in retrospect I wish I had gone up and seen it. I seemed to come in the top 10 or the racers, and it resets to the start of the race. I'm now standing with a bunch of others in orange overalls on the top of a hill, at the bottom of which are a bunch of police setting up the race. We're convicts. A friend is next to me and starts saying he's going to make a run for it and jump onto the race track and escape that way. He bolts off down the road and I follow, knowing that if he was to succeed he'd need a good distraction, I think my plan was to yell out I saw something in the opposite direction he was going to go.

Dream 2 - Looking after my daughter
I'm in my parents house, my mother and wife have gone out shopping and have left me and my daughter to play. It was a really nice dream, she and I were playing with her toys and I was talking to her good feels, not a particularly long or eventful dream though, but definitely memorable.

      Strange cart/running race (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was on a track and apparently I was on a race, but I had a hard time to control my cart and people was passing me. I focused on my driving and I realized I had a small cart:

I started to race and to cut on the turns until I started to pass several other racers, getting to the end in a pretty good position, but suddenly, my cart stopped working and there was sand undr me, so I decided to start running.

As I was running, some other guy started to pull my shirt back in order to slow me down. I found that to be very unfair and suddenly, I could not run as much as I wanted, I was going like in slow motion. This guy was passing me and I could not catch up. There was a huge bush ahead that was a blend of poison ivy and lavender. I figured that there would be a ton of bees and I would freak out and run faster, but as I got into it, even that I saw the bees I did not feel scared and I could not run, in fact, I was getting stuck out of the poison ivy for some reason. I ended up 5th on the race and I was pretty upset from the cheating from this guy, however, on the standings I was still at a better position than him.
    5. Work/Fight with Cherie'/Baby Picture Frag

      by , 08-29-2014 at 01:10 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I remember nothing about my first dream, though I do know I had one.

      ~

I was working at the bakery, doing something with...well...baking. I "remembered" working as a decorator in training, and wondered why I was now on the baker's side. The sides were swapped from where they really are IWL. I also "remembered" seeing a girl I work with sometimes named Courtney C. taking orders on the phone; that was her sole job for the day, to stand by the phone and wait for calls.

I was then mad at Cherie' and someone else about some way they were treating cats, or some thing they watched about cats...I can't remember exactly what, but it had to do with cats. I was off by myself somewhere when David came up to me and was trying to get Cherie' and I to make up. He was working at the bakery. I believe we did make up, though reluctantly on my part.

Then, I was racing in this truck in a video game. I think it was supposed to be some Pokemon game. At any rate, I won and got a really good time. My father-in-law gave me a picture that was edited to look like I was a baby wrapped up in a blanket and he was holding me. My face was the same as it is now, though. He said something about it; he was proud of me, but I can't remember his exact words.

I then wanted to talk to Dallas, but I knew he had married Brandi, a lady I had worked with at Kohl's a while back, but they had divorced. Brandi was still in love with him. I saw them talking in a store. I wondered if he had remarried her, or if they were still divorced. I talked to Brandi at some point. I found out from someone, Brandi I think, that they were divorced again. I was relieved because I wanted to be with him.

At some point, I looked at the picture that my father-in-law gave me again, and it was reversed; he was the baby and I was holding him.

There was more to this one, but for some reason, I'm having trouble recalling much this morning.

    6. Mild (MILD?) Frustration

      by , 08-11-2014 at 06:03 PM (Threecat's Dreamtime)
Last night felt distinctly lucid twice only to lose the dream upon reentry.

In the first, I am in a bedroom, and having a discussion on lucid dreaming (while lucid). In hypnopomia, I even review the dream so as not to lose it (if I had had my shit together, I would have simply awoken and recorded the dream). Once fully awake, the dream memory vaporizes in front of me, more or less.

Probably one of the first two dreams of the night, which historically are not great moments for dream recall for me. However, I think I have been lazy with recall per se, as I have been experiencing lots of day residue and "garbage" dreams that I have neglected to record in any great detail. Maybe this is the impetus I need to get back into recording my dreams in detail.

Second dream: I am lucid and attempting to complete the tasks of the month, but don't remember scenery or whether or not I succeed at any of the tasks, or indeed even remember them correctly. Gab has developed software to assist dreamers while they are still dreaming, and to publish their attempts at the TotM. She publishes mine (in a tiny newspaper), describing my attempt.

      The dream drifts into a
semi-lucid where I am running a foot race through an apartment complex (maybe my old digs) with a WL friend. He is extremely fast, and while I am able to manipulate the dream to make myself faster than I normally am, he is still beating me. We are running at night alongside a chainlink fence, and there are several hairpin turns in the grass. I epicly jump over the fence and into some undergrowth, but am still daunted by how fast my opponent is. I attribute this in dream to his long legs.

Finally, I am able to use some of my minions (apparently I had minions) to help me cheat. One of them grabs my WL friend through the fence while I am able to take off and finish the race. However, my awareness stays with my friend and is in fact shifted into that of my minion. At the moment when I feel I must release him (as he's fighting me the whole time) another minion grabs him, my awareness shifts into that minion, and then I turn mine and his hands into stone (I am grabbing him by the wrists). During all of this I more or less feel that I am dreaming, but just don't "get" it.

I tried a different method of MILD than what I am used to, and think I will continue the experiment tonight. I will keep you all updated

    7. Dreaming About Lucid Dreaming: An Underwater Game

      by , 08-11-2014 at 03:12 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was at Disney World on my honeymoon, but I wasn't with Dallas, I was with Jake, an ex. We were in this building called DisneyQuest that was not like the real one at all. We were waiting in a crowded waiting area with a long, high top table, and probably other tables as well. Jake and I were sitting at the high top table. Many other people were as well. We were waiting to get in. Somehow, I got in first, and he had to continue to wait. He didn't seem to mind.

I was then inside. There was this thing you could do in there, some kind of quest (quest was in the name of the activity), where you jumped into this huge underwater area/maze. There were lots of items you could pick up in there, but you could only keep them if you brought them back up before you woke up from your lucid dream. So basically, you were down there lucid dreaming with many other people, racing to get items that you wanted to keep.

I was then standing in a small cave-like square room with a square hole cut out of the stone floor that had water in it. It was an entrance to the lucid maze. At first, I was hesitant to go down there because I was scared of running out of air. I then "remembered" (again with the "remembering") that there were air pockets I could always swim up to if I needed to; apparently, this is something I had done before. I gathered my courage and was going to dive in, but ended up jumping in feet first instead.

I was then swimming down underneath the water. There were all these open treasure chest-type things with items in them, and all kinds of different ways you could go. The atmosphere was a bit dark, but not so much so that you would have trouble seeing anything. I was looking for a specific book. It was something I had ordered and forgotten to pick up, so I figured I'd get it here. Many other people were swimming about as well grabbing items. It was like a race/game. I kept swimming and finding more places where items were. One area on the edge looked like an old, broken down temple entrance. It had some chests with items outside of it.

I was then woken up by my husband's alarm. He put it on snooze. I went back to sleep into the same dream.

I was still swimming underwater, but it was after everyone had left. The item chests were all empty. It seemed like it was after hours.

Again, the alarm went off. Woke up, went back to sleep in the same dream.

I was then going into the waiting area to see if Jake had gotten in yet. I approached him, but did not go too close. He was still sitting at the table. His back was turned to me, and he was drinking a red beverage out of a long, tube-like glass. I figured it was an alcoholic beverage. I decided to leave him be.

I then was back under the water. The items had been refilled, and more people were swimming about. I kept thinking about my body being asleep up in the cave room with the entrance I started in, and how I'd have to start all over from there, empty handed, if I woke up. I had a lot of items, and it was hard to carry them all. I needed some sort of container for them. I noticed that people had used containers to carry their things if they had a lot. As I was grabbing for an item in a chest, a lady and her small son swam by. The lady was talking to the son about an item that he wanted.

I was then thinking about the book that I wanted to grab. I thought about how it looked. The cover had a Mii looking character dressed in a funny outfit from Tomodachi Life. I then figured I did not need to grab it, because the hotel had delivered it to my room.

I then had the feeling that I was going to wake up,
and I did. To my husband's alarm. Again. Went back to sleep after he turned it off. Same dream.

I was then going to get Jake so we could leave. I went into the waiting area. We were then in a cab, getting taken back to our hotel. The cab driver was a white middle-aged male. He was talking to us, but I wasn't really listening. I was thinking about all the other parks, but I wanted to continue what I was doing at DisneyQuest. I then looked over at Jake, and he had his dick out. He was playing with it. I was really hoping that the cab driver wouldn't turn around and see, because he'd kick us out. He was slapping it on his stomach, and it was making a wet slap noise. I was afraid he was going to start jacking off. I felt embarrassed, but at the same time, compassionate for him; I knew he had a problem. I just didn't want the cab driver to notice.

We were then standing up somewhere outside, and he was talking to I think the cab driver. He had on these short brown cargo shorts, and you could clearly see his hard-on bulging beneath them. He turned to the side, and it was so obvious from that angle. At least he was wearing pants now.

I then started to think that this situation was not right somehow. Wasn't I married to Dallas, not Jake? I'm so happy with Dallas, I want to be with him, not Jake.

The final alarm then woke me up, and I was awake for good.

      ~

I thought that this was a very interesting concept for a dream. I wouldn't say I was lucid or semi-lucid for any of it, but it was a strange state to be dreaming that I was lucid dreaming within a dream. I also liked how towards the very end of the dream, I noticed things weren't right. Of course, that happened right before my husband's alarm went off for the final time. That would have definitely been my lucid trigger. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed this dream.

      Fast and the Furious

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am driving my dads car. I have to drive my brother home. I meet my friends and we decide to race. Suddenly the car has pedals. I have to take a shortcut but it is uphill. My friends have a lead. The car changes again and is now a toy car which you can steer with a remote. Were climbing over a fence and I find some other friends. I talk to them for a while but my dad is getting worried that it is taking so long.

    9. Adrenaline

      by
      Hyu
      , 07-21-2014 at 10:33 PM (Hyu's Adventures)
I forgot to add a song to my last DJ entry!
I can't think of any music that fits this dream, so instead, here's what I'm listening to as I write this:

I'm at an office in a clinic. I'm sitting on a simple chair in the very middle of the room.
I've been waiting here for some time, bored out of my mind.
A nurse is supposed to join me in order to give me the results from some kind of medical test that was performed on me.
After some time a nurse finally enters the room.
She tells me that she has good news, that they have finally figured out what is wrong with me.
The nurse suggest beginning treatment immediately.
      I'm ecstatic to hear this.

However, I now also realize that this is a dream.
The nurse somehow notices that I have become lucid. She seems sad because of it?

We are interrupted by a doctor barging into the room.
She immediately steals the nurses charts from her hands.
After looking over them she sends the nurse away.

"I will take care of this."

I don't like this. The nurse seemed very competent and kind, whereas the doctor seems uninterested in my health.
She is just here to do her job and get paid. She couldn't care less about who I am or how I feel.
After grabbing something from a drawer she pulls up another chair and sits right in front of me.
She holds a syringe and a vial containing an odd purple liquid.

"Hold out your arm for me."
      "Okay."

I hold out my arm as she draws some of that liquid into the syringe.
I want to ask her about what is actually wrong with me, and about what
the devil she is about to inject me with.
But I don't ask anything because I feel really uncomfortable.
The color of that liquid strikes me as really odd.
Are you supposed to inject purple stuff into people?

She grabs my arm tightly, presumably so that I don't move.
My skin offers little resistance to the syringe.
      The needle punctures it easily.
I'm pleased that it doesn't hurt.
She injects me with a large quantity of the liquid.

As she retracts the syringe she smiles.
And not the good kind of smile. The I just fucked you up and I'm a psychopath kind of smile.
Blisters start forming very rapidly all over my arm.
They quickly grow to the point where they are about to burst.
There's a huge amount of liquid in them. And I sense them pulsating. (I'm not googling a fitting picture for that...)
      WHAT THE FUCK!
I notice the doctor as she attempts to go for my other arm.
Oh hell no. I slap the syringe out of her hand and quickly get up.

I am now in full panic mode.
I turn towards the only door in the room and charge at it.
Due to fear of the door being locked I throw my entire weight at it, attempting to break it open.

The lock gives in under the force emitting a shattering sound and separates from the door.

Blinded by a bright sun I try to reorient myself.
      Wait what? I'm outside?
I quickly realize that I find myself stranded on top of a skyscraper.
There's only one door leading back into the building and that's where I came from.
This doesn't make any sense! Also the skyscraper is really thin. Like only 5 by 5 meters.
      I have nowhere to run.

The doctor emerges from the room holding a much larger syringe this time around.
Like, a meter long. She's holding it like an assault weapon.

"Come over here. You need your medicine!"

I don't think so. I look back at my arm and it looks even worse than before.
The biggest blister bursts open and some thick yellow goo starts to ooze out of it.
It is utterly disgusting. Oh but it gets worse. So much worse.

Fat wasps start to climb out from inside the blister, through the puncture.
There's goo all over them, and they immediately begin to climb my arm.
I contemplate attempting to rip my arm off my body, but I understand that this is not possible.
The doctor approaches me slowly, carrying the overly large syringe on her shoulder.

But then, during all the panic, a short moment of clarity.
I am dreaming. I try to forcefully forget about the condition of my arm, knowing that it will return to normal.
The doctor is getting uncomfortably close to me, and I have no room left to move backwards...

      Oh for fucks sake!
The name tag on the doctors lab coat...
      It reads "Dr. Faye"
There is just barely enough time to go from full on panic to being seriously pissed.

"Fuck this, I'm out of here."

I stretch out my arms, and let myself fall backwards, down the skyscraper, looking at the sky all the way down.
      Weeeeeeeeeeee
      ...
      Uhm...
This scene is going to change before I hit the ground yes?

My vision fades just before I hit the ground.
      Good...
      *BAM!*

      OH GOD FUCK WHY...
      Oh...

I thought I went splat there for a moment.
But I actually just landed on my back in a new scene.
I get up and begin to orient myself.
My arm is back to normal, so we're off to a god start.

Oddly enough I seem to have ended up in some kind of garage?
Like, a pit box for race cars.
Usually if I change scenes without thinking of a destination I land on a certain beach.
I end up there quite often, but not this time for some reason.

I rub my hands together, trying to purge my mind of the images of my arm.
Then I spot it. A suspiciously large object hidden beneath a white sheet.
I know exactly what this is!
Pulling away the sheet reveals my xg bike.
      AWW YEAH!

I walk around it inspecting it from all angles.
The polished exhaust manifolds reflect the bright lighting in this garage.
I touch them and slide my finger all the way back to the end of the exhaust pipes.
Thinking about it, I haven't raced this in many years.
I did have a dream about it a long time ago, but I don't think I raced it.

I could use my lucidity to attempt to resolve my current dream issues.
But I decide to postpone it. The dream is stable and I know that is going to be wonderful if I race.
Yes. I need some me time. Dreams are about having fun. I don't feel like resolving complex issues right now.

I climb onto the bike. It feels exactly right.
I flip the switches on the dashboard. ECU, FUEL, IGN.
And it lights up in vibrant neon colors.

I spot a pair of noise canceling plugs, resting next to some sunglasses on the fuel tank.
I promptly stick the plugs into my ears. This nullifies all sound completely. I also put on the sunglasses,
which fit nicely. I detach the auxiliary oil supply, which was keeping the engine nice and warm.

I gently feather the throttle, and kick the starter hard.
The engine roars to life. The sudden sound pressure feels like a punch to the stomach.
It almost hurts. My entire body vibrates, as it resonates with the sound emitted by all 20 cylinders.
Even though my hearing is muffled, the sound is painfully loud because it is amplified within this garage.
The sudden vibrations greatly increase the quality of my dream.
My vision is colorful and sharp now. All of my senses are engaged.
I am in a pit box. There's a race track right outside.

I pull the clutch all the way back and shift into first.
A loud mechanical "clock" is emitted by the transmission and the dashboard display changes from N to 1.
I lean my weight all the way forwards, feather the throttle and just let go of the clutch.
After some wheel spin I am propelled out of the pit box and begin driving down the pit lane.
I flip on the "G" switch on my dash board. This turns on an odd device that provides high amounts of downforce without causing any drag.
Almost as if gravity was magically increased for the bike.
With a precise foot press the engine changes into second and the bike wobbles forward and backward a bit.

I start to gain speed and once I'm onto the track I punch it.
At first the revs climb slowly, but then once I make it past 7k rpm I hear both turbos slowly spinning up, providing an enormous boost in torque.
This violent increase in power actually catches me off guard and I accidentally change into 3rd.
There is some more wobbling and the engine emits a rather unhealthy sound as I have starved the turbos from their much needed exhaust pressure.
This is to be expected as I shifted way too soon.

I gain some more speed before I need to slow down for a sharp hairpin.
The brakes are loud and cause some vibration, but they are perfectly precise and very powerful.
I shift back into second and engine screams up for a split second as the internal computers match the engine speed to that of the gearbox,
followed by a loud rumble due to unburned fuel exiting the exhaust pipes.

I throttle up gradually as I am exiting the corner. The turbos spin up again. This time I'm determined not to shift early.
I grab the handles tightly, holding on for dear life. The acceleration brutally increases all the way through
10k, 11k, 12k, 13k rpm. The front wheel begins to lift off the track and I quickly shift into 3rd.
This time there is no wobble. The gearbox computer executes the shift precisely the moment when my foot presses the shifting pedal.
The front wheel slams back onto the track with a loud tire screech.

Two lines of blue leds on my dashboard grow towards each other as the rpm increase, indicating that I am within the power band.
I take it all the way up past 14k, until red leds at the end of the blue led strips light up,
indicating that it is time to shift...

I am now in 4th, doing close to 500km/h, as I enter a long corner. I lean my body into it, bringing the glowing orange exhaust manifolds into my field of view.
The forces on my body increase, until eventually belts in my pants pull together automatically to cut off the blood flow to my legs.
This just barely prevents me from passing out. I am unable to breathe until I exit the corner and the forces normalize.

I lift my body up a bit, so that I emerge above the protective wind shield.
The air pushes against my face hard. It hurts. I am so alive right now.
I try to scream as loud as I can. My lungs can just barely overcome the air pressure.
But there is barely any sound. The engine is just too loud. I cannot compete.

But that doesn't matter. This is MY dream. I am alive. I am in control.
After some laps the dream fades. I don't care.

The contrast between "bad" and "good" adrenaline was quite interesting.
Could have done without the bad part though. The images are still burned into my mind. x_X

      Marathon of the Gods

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I am an old mayan god and stroll through the rain forest. Everything has an avatar like look. My god friends challenge me to a race and we get ready. We start running and I pass rocks, mountains and different surroundings. I run through forests and deserts. I finally win and I get an old, weird looking stone with red glowing carvings in it. With this stone I have to activate a mechanism but my alarm goes off..

      Starfish Bikinis

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

My friend and me are in a holiday complex/park. It is unbelievably big. It turns out to be a big island which simulates women, the beach, the ocean. Like a holo deck. Or a lucid dream . We find out that there is a millionaires lounge and decide to break in. They see us and we hide in the closet. They find us quickly, but they show mercy and even pay for our stay here. We get invited to join a bike race and I actually do kind of good.
When we go back to the beach I see a box with starfishes. I wonder what they are for, look closer and see a sign which says "For Bikinis".
    12. Blessed in the sky; crippled on the ground

In my journey as an oneironaut, which has been going on for about 3 to 4 weeks now, this is the first lucid dream I've had that I've been able or thought to exert control over. It happened on the night between the 8th and 9th of this February.
This lucid dream was a DILD, as well as a MILD. In the dream, lucidity was triggered by a hand-based reality check. I had just finished up some classes in my school that confused me and was standing outside in a long queue of students whose purpose I didn't understand. The yard outside was similar to the one from my previous school, rather than my current one; but in this entry, I'm focusing on what happened afterwards.
Suddenly and out of nowhere, I decided to look at my hands. They were white, as is the colour of my real hands; but when I counted the fingers, I had trouble with counting five on one hand. At first, I wondered if I'd miscounted; and tried counting up the fingers on my left hand a couple more times. There was no mistake. I had six fingers.
I recalled what this meant. I wasn't near full dream consciousness, so I doubt I remembered the significance of the event and I didn't remembered what I'd intended to do if I achieved dream lucidity this night. But I did think to control my dream as a result of this realisation; and naturally, my first thought was to fly. I found it fairly easy. I ran a few steps down the ground, kicked off it and took off. I soared high and fast above the heads of my dream characters, who now looked to be in my school's P.E. class.
With a bit of a challenge, I lowered to the ground incompletely, without dropping, and then heightened again. I flew over something that was like a tall wall or hedge or mini-mountain. (Since I wasn't at full consciousness, there were still a lot of things I didn't think to question.) I flew to the top of a giant basketball hoop on the other side and sort of stood on it for a moment before taking off again. My schoolmates still see me perform all these feats at this point. Finally, I decided to give flying a rest and try something different.
I lowered to the ground and attempted running at super-fast speed. I wanted to run as fast as I had been able to fly. Alas, I was not so fortunate in this endeavour, as running in a dream seems to often be frustratingly problematic. Once I was grounded, I struggled through a few steps and fell over. There, I saw a dark-skinned man who was a competitive runner and I wanted to pick myself back up and challenge him to a race, at which I confidently planned to annihilate him with my dream control. (I later discovered that this dream character was supposedly the fastest runner in the world, which indicates that he may have been based on Usain Bolt.)
But this time, I failed as terribly as the last. The man, who now had a crowd of supporters with him, mocked me from above. I tried to pick myself back up and race him again. On the starting line, he blatantly stood ahead of me before it was time to start. I got upset but let him do it in the end because I thought that if I was going to win this race, I would do it regardless of the difference of a metre or two. As we began running, I was still behind; but steadily so. Though I still struggled to run, I felt like I was doing it better than before. And we were running at both the same speed – which wasn’t actually saying much. I found myself wondering then how this character could be the fastest runner in the world. But before any official finish line was crossed, he was gone and I’d crossed into a new territory – the actual yard of my current school. By this time, I had been too immersed in the race to remember that it was just a dream. My lucidity was lost and I went on to dream about classmates and a broken water fountain.
    13. Haven't posted anything in a while so here's a super long dream for ya

      by , 01-25-2014 at 06:27 PM
Wow I haven't posted any dreams in ages––partly because I'm lazy, but also because I haven't been taking very good track of my dreams over the past few months. But now I'm trying to start keeping track again, and hopefully posting these will motivate me to write my dreams down more often.

I don't remember any dreams from last night, but I'll post a dream I wrote down a few weeks ago that was particularly long/crazy and had a ton of different parts in it. So yeah, here goes:

I go to [my college] and it’s the beginning of the school year—or so I assume because it’s all sunny and green outside and whatnot. It’s during orientation or something, and all the upperclassmen (the third and fourth years that is) have to join together to learn one huge dance. We all have to wear crazy colorful costumes with lots of feathers on them and stuff.

I’m late or something and I have to learn part of the dance from some random girl in a trailer near [the athletic center]. So I get in the trailer and the girl is showing me how to do part of the dance. It mostly involves some pretty simple move where I pretty much just have to step forward, then back, then to the side, or something along those lines. But she keeps saying I’m doing it wrong even though I thought it was super easy, so I figure I’m missing something.

Anyway, then the girl has to go somewhere, and there’s this random older guy (like a professor or something, I don’t know) standing outside the trailer who says he will teach me the rest of the dance later, but then he walks away. I become paranoid that I’m not going to be able to learn the dance in time.

I start walking around and looking at the various groups of people in their colorful costumes. It seems like everyone has split into groups and they’re all going to do separate dances. (I see [a girl I know from high school] and she’s talking about how her group has to wear fake boobs. Huhhh.) I think about how nice it is that the upperclassmen get to do this instead of doing stupid orientation activities.

There’s another short part where I’m lying in my bed (at home) and [two of my sisters] are also in their beds and asking me questions about some movie about a chef––but like, the whole movie is a euphemism for sex somehow and they’re asking me to explain it and I’m like, “Uhhh … I don’t know.”

In another part I’m working at [the library where I used to work] again, and I’m not really doing anything––just wandering around the stacks looking for something interesting to read. But every time I find a spot where I can just stand around and read for a while, I see some other librarians standing around talking and I’m afraid I’ll get caught.

I end up in some random corner where there are a bunch of flyers and booklets on a shelf and I’m trying to arrange them all in a neat row but they keep all falling over or turning outwards. I realize it might be a better system if I just had them all arranged so that they were facing out, but then I’m too lazy to change the arrangement I’ve already made.

Below that shelf there’s another shelf with gigantic picture books on it. They all look super old. Apparently they’re reference books and I’ve never seen them before, and they’re all really cool––so I’m like, “Whoa, why did I never know about these?”

(I think I either wake up from this one or I have a false awakening—either way, I have this disorienting moment where I still believe I work at the library in real life and then I’m really confused, like, “No I don’t … Wait, yes I do … Wait, no I don’t …”)

There’s some really short part where I’m watching some thing where Superman and some blond lady with a ponytail and I think a few other people are all running through this stormy landscape and then there are these helicopters chasing after them that are going to shoot at them, and Superman is like, “Haha well that’s okay, because I’m immune to bullets!” And all his friends are like, “Ummm … but we’re not.”

Yet another part: I’m in my grandparents’ (old) house, in their TV room. I think maybe my mom is also there? And I’m trying to call [my sisters], and then I try to call [three of my friends from high school] … because apparently all five of them are on a hike together. When I try to call [my sister] she doesn’t pick up her phone, but then this weird thing happens where she somehow answers the phone after her “leave a message” recording thing has played but I still can’t talk to her because she can’t hear me I guess. I think I actually talk to [my friend] on the phone but I forget what she says.

In another part I’m in some random kitchen (which kind of looks like our kitchen at [the place I used to live]) and I think my whole family is there. There’s this weird washing machine; [my brother] opens it and it still continues running even when it’s open. But the whole time it’s running, it’s overflowing and squirting all this water into the microwave which is situated above it. And my mom is like, “Oh don’t worry, that’s normal.”

At some other point, I’m at some random event and all my high school friends are there. We’re all sitting in this big field somewhere and it’s kind of getting dark outside. I’m talking to [one of my friends] and I have a popsicle stick for some reason––one of those ones with a joke on it. And I’m like, “Haha want to hear a popsicle stick joke?” and then I try to read the joke but I misread it and accidentally think it says something about Sherlock and I’m like, “Lol I can’t stop thinking about Sherlock.” (I had this dream after the day season 3 started, so ... it was actually true.)

And finally there’s some other part where there are a bunch of kids are having some kind of race and then there are these two boys who are particularly competitive with each other … ? Err yeah I don’t remember the details.

      Dream 1(fragments):

I was playing some coop RPG game with SilentEternity. We had abilties to change form and i was using some forms including dragon form. We were going through some dark forest place, fighting some kind of light entities, then we had to get up on high stones for which i have used wings.

      Dream 2(fragments):

I was in forest, near lake, and there were wolves.

      Dream 3(fragments):

I was going through some parking place, it was closing off and there was some dog, then a bunch of mini-dogs appeared and dog started protecting territory from them.

      Dream 4(fragments):

I was playing some superhero fighting game with some people on emulator, there were a bunch of random characters, some with weird hats and masks.

      Dream 5(fragments):

I was playing some 2D platformer game and going through various levels, soon i've reached dark room with lines of monitors. I've had to activate line in specific order to start boss fight, which turned game semi-3D and boss started attacking with danmaku patterns. Instead of shooting it i had to collect items to damage it, while avoiding lots of projectiles. Then finishing it, i've went to activate second row of monitors.

      Dream 6:

I was playing 2D mazey platformer with SilentEternity, there was upper level and lower level, both very similar and we were doing both at same time, it was also final level. It was dark and there were outlines of buildings, and there was way fillled with lots of various red colored enemies and also another way which connected lower and upper level. I've managed to dodge right through all enemies and get to the exit, which was not a proper solution to the level, but it worked and we were quickest apparently and did it without taking damage. Though it was not possible to do it proper way without taking damage due to teleporter doing 2 damage. We have also tried to experiment and scrolled level way right beyond the dark clouds, finding some kind of secret. In the end we got rewarded with a dark band of some kind.

      Dream 7(fragments):

There was some story about RC car race and one of players was cheating so others were talking to him.
