    1. LD #294: Subway and Subway

by , 05-13-2016 at 03:06 PM (Lucid Time!)
I remember lots of stuff happened but the first thing that I really remember is being on a subway train and someone saying that there were vampires on-board. There was also something to do with angels that were supposed to be fighting them. I remember when I asked myself where the angels were I got a vision of them sitting on a cloud eating doughnuts and playing cards. I became lucid.

The first vampire I saw was turned the other way, terrorizing some girl before he drank her blood. I pulled a wooden stake from hyperspace and impaled him.

I made my way back along the train. For some reason, I was just throwing the vampires out the window. It seemed like the easiest and quickest way to dispose of them. At some point I saw the master vampire, a female with two children, one male and one female. I remember she kept ordering the male child to drink the blood of different people while not allowing the female any. It was also at this point that the subway had become an above ground train. The male child complained that he was full.

For whatever reason, I felt like I needed help here. I turned and ran for a window before the male child could get me. I had some doubts that I could jump out the window and fly, but it seemed to work regardless. I remember I flew above the city we were passing through. I used the summoning command and when I did, I saw Manei in the backseat of a car. I pulled down next to her. The car was driving seemingly by itself. I opened the backdoor. I remember she was wearing some heavy jacket or hoodie that she wanted to take off before we went. I grabbed her hand.

      "Are you ready"

      "Yeah"

I pulled her up into the air. I tried to ignore the fact that I had a passenger, since that usually results in a quick and painful "Landing". I took her up. The city we were in wasn't very big. I was trying to find the train tracks again, but I didn't see them anywhere. I remember there was a single glass skyscraper. There was an open window near the top floor that I flew into, through the building and out the other side. She started screaming at this point. I couldn't tell if she was having fun or terrified. Probably somewhere inbetween.

I went down low over the street. A big semi was coming towards us and rolled out of the way. I started to go up again but she said something about my fire jets not being real. I think the conversation went something like this.

"You're not flying, silly. You're just going 'fwssh' with your mouth"

"Yes I am, I've used fire jets a couple of times..."

We got stuck in midair. I couldn't get the fire jets back on.

"Well at least we're not falling... "

Cartoon gravity proceeds to kick in and we smack into the middle of the street. We make a large crater but there were no cars. Fortunately she didn't seem irritated by the crash that she caused by making me lose confidence, but it doesn't seem like she appreciated my brand of flying. She said something about the vampires not mattering, apparently the lazy angels had finally gotten around to fighting them or it just wasn't worth chasing that train because it probably wasn't going to turn up again at this point anyway

Manei said something about going to subway. Apparently it was inspired by how me and S always like to go to subway together IWL. I opened the door of a random building (I think it was a church or some kind of house of worship) and expected there to be a subway. There was a fantastically gigantic line however. By swiping my hand over the crowd I was able to erase them and pretty much empty the store. (I think there was a few people left.) I rubbed my hands together, but it added no clarity to the dream.

I remember I jumped over all of the waiting line ropes (there were a lot of them.) She bought all the food though and said something about her mother working here. She seemed really proud of that fact, and I didn't want to rain on her little parade by telling her that working at subway isn't much of an accomplishment. We sat down at the table in the corner and she brought the food. I think she got a personal pizza for herself and a sub for me. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I figured she'd know my sub given that she is in essence just an aspect of me.

Everything seemed normal. While wrapped up the sub seemed normal sized but when I unwrapped it it was miniscule, like a little one or two bite sandwich. (I know I'm not a big eater IWL, but this is ridiculous.) I bit into it and it was particularly bland, even as far as dream food goes. She sensed my frustration and agreed to trade me the remainder of the tiny sub for some of her pizza (that was now like a full size pizza). But first she took a branch that I vaugely remember her picking just before we went inside and pulled off all the little pink flowers that were on it and put them on the pizza. I commented something about that not tasting good and she said that she would just have the whole pizza for herself then. I woke up.

    2. Last Month's Tasks of the Month

      by , 05-11-2016 at 10:40 PM
I've gotten a little behind again. I've been having some pretty interesting dreams, but I haven't written most of them down, so they are pretty much gone now.

I do remember a lucid dream I had a few days ago. I did two of the Tasks of the Month...from last month. I hadn't gotten on and read the new tasks yet, so in my mind I was still thinking of the tasks I never completed last month.

      Dream:

I don't remember what I was doing. I may have been flying or standing on something high. I suddenly knew I was dreaming so I swooped down flying and immediately thought about completing the tasks of the month that I had been wanting to do, which were to drain the color out of something and to eat something inedible.

I landed next to a table that reminded me a little of my dad's model train table when I was little. I saw a lot of plastic items on the table. I wasn't sure what they were, but that didn't matter--I was going to drain their color. I started by focusing on this smooth rounds red thing. In just a few seconds it had faded to grey. I had known this would be easy.

I then focused on a yellow item. Then blue. Each time willing them to lose their color. I was satisfied by that point.

I then decided to look for something inedible to eat. I saw a small empty soda can, the kind that is about half as tall as the regular ones. I stuffed the whole thing in my mouth. I was glad it was not the full sized can. It took some work to crush it with my teeth. I got it condensed down quite flat...as if I had stepped on it. I kept chewing. I wondered if it would ever get small enough for me to swallow it. I was pretty sure that was required to be able to count it.

At this point I noticed the dream fading. I couldn't let that happen. I'm not sure what I did but the dream came back. I still had the can in my mouth. I continued to chew. I was happy to notice that is was finally dissolving. I felt the metal pieces in my mouth get smaller and smaller until they were gone.

I may have been talking to someone next. I think I was telling them how I am good at changing things in my dreams. I had out my left arm. I said that I would make it big. I watched it grow until it was cartoonishly large. Next I made it skinny until it almost looked like a stick figure arm.

I felt satisfied at my accomplishments.

      And that's all I remember.
    3. College Fly Away. (#294)

by , 05-04-2016 at 01:05 PM (Lucid Time!)

I'm on campus, pretty, clear spring day. There are signups for summer classes (they start tomorrow) but there are also, more fun and pointless activities. I remember the author of Harry Potter was on campus and she was going to assign people to one of four dorms in the dorms that I stayed in last year, only they had been renamed to be the four Hogwarts houses. (Gryphindoor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin) This was supposedly a part of a role-play type thing to make college more fun. Also, if you signed up to live in these dorms, you could be a part of a quidditch team.

IWL or in dream, I've never been a huge fan of Harry Potter. (You may have noticed some butchered spellings.) But in dream there were a lot of HP fanboys and fangirls hanging around the table waiting. Don't remember why I was waiting there, I think I had some friends who were interested in signing up for the HP dorms.

I remember I got bored. There was a tree nearby so I figured I would climb it. A few other students were trying to climb it so they could sit on the branches and pretend they were flying on broomsticks. I betted that I could climb the tree easily. I ran up the trunk a couple steps and grabbed a low hanging branch, then pulled myself up gracefully to the top of the branch. The students were pretty impressed with my feat. (I wasn't even lucid) But a security guard showed up and told me to get down. So I jumped down.

I think one of the students asked what spell I was using. I was curious until I looked down and saw that I was floating about 3in off the ground.
This caused me to RC and become lucid. I started flying off. At first I was flying really low, only a few feet off the ground. (Though it was still faster and more fun than walking.) I began making my way around campus when I noticed strong winds disrupting my flying. A few of them blew me into the sides of buildings. I remember at one point the wind blew me face first into a brick wall. It was the brick wall that broke and not my skull fortunately. My head was now sticking out of the wall of what looked like my high schools gymnasium, and there was a cheerleading class going on. Everyone looked on surprised and confused.

      "Sorry!"

I figured if I could get higher, then I wouldn't have to worry about the winds blowing me into buildings. At this point I was flying down a narrow alley. I heard someone yell "Freeze" and saw the campus security guard along with several others. A mecha walked in behind them, pretty small and probably unmanned, but I still don't see why Campus Security needs a battle mech.

Spoiler for Mech looked like this, but painted white with police siren.:

I don't know what these guys want so I just figured I'd fly away. I tried to fly down the alley, but I saw Jack (OMG I thought you had left my dreams) with a giant fan that was creating the winds. Apparently he was a junior officer on Campus Security and he wanted to get me in trouble.

I finally managed to fly upward. I heard shooting but tried to ignore it, hoping that the dream would drop the plot of security trying to stop my LD. I managed to get away, flying in a spiral around a large skyscraper-ified version of the language building. I kept having to say "Faster, Faster, Come on!" As I got up, I saw a city (not there IWL). On the left were several rocket launch pads. Each one had one of these odd space shuttle looking craft on it. (I think the space shuttles had extended noses or something.) There was also a Washington monument type thing in the middle of a big hexagonal park and a huge cluster of tall buildings.

I decided to go and investigate the space shuttle pads. I remember it looked sort of like a cargo shipping dock. There were these big robot arms on tank tracks that would lift boxes of cargo into the shuttles, and they would take off and fly into space. There was also a giant field full of parked shuttles. Someone started explaining to me that "The Professor" had designed these for easy space travel. Now he was working on a space ambulance version that looked exactly the same, but with a red medical cross painted on it. He said that he wanted to do a space fire truck version but he couldn't because there was no oxygen for fires to happen in space.

Lost the dream and woke up.

Side Notes: Last night I made a goal of Manifesting Manei. Became lucid and seemingly completely forgotten about. I've gotten very good at this, becoming lucid and forgetting my goals. I need to figure out ways of better remembering my goals and staying focused.

My lucidity is almost to 1/night. Some nights I have two or three, balancing out the nights where I have none. (At least how its been for the past 3 weeks.) I think I've figured out how to have an acceptable quantity of LDs. Now it becomes about having good LD quality...

Not complaining about flying LD though.

    4. A WILD ride!

      by , 04-27-2016 at 08:30 PM
I did an unintentional WBTB this morning. I had woken up and was having trouble going back to sleep. I laid in bed for a couple hours and was pretty much ready to give up, when I noticed that I was I was starting to have little dream snippets.

I was in a small space ship in the Star Wars Universe. It had crash landed on a snowy bank. The space ship continued to slide, and to my horror I noticed that we were going off the edge of a cliff. I had R2D2 on my craft and he was able to slow us down to the point we stopped right on the very steep edge. It was so steep, however, that I had no idea how I would get out.

Then the dream skips to the point where I am face to face with a guy that looks like a Jedi. He was young with long blond hair. At first I thought he looked like Obi Wan (in episode 2). But then I notice he was younger and was a different person. For some reason I had my light saber out and I was ready to defend myself.

Then the dream skips to the point where I must have passed out and was laying in the lap of this Jedi and he was stroking my hair.

At that point I pop awake. I was disappointed because it had felt so peaceful to just lay all safe in the Jedi's arms and let him touch my hair. I wanted that to go on and on.

I was also disappointed because I felt that because I had fallen asleep for that short time that I would never get back to sleep so I could lucid dream.

But since I had some time before I had to get up I decided to give it another try. I got as comfortable as I could while laying on my back. I had ear plugs in and a shirt over my eyes because the light was starting to stream in my window. I willed myself to relax. Totally relax and let go. Let go... Let go...

I suddenly found that I was hearing a great roaring noise. I immediately knew that I was starting to transition. I was having a WILD. It had been a long time since I had had a successful WILD. I was pretty excited about this. But I made myself lay still and let it take me for a ride.

I was starting to see a visual that went along with the roaring. I was in what looked like a huge room. It was bigger than anything I had experienced. It reminded my of a hanger in a Star Destoryer, but bigger. I was being pulled through this feet first (because I was laying on my back in real life) at quite a fast speed. I watched the rust colored metal walls rush by me. As fast and noisy as this was, I felt quite safe. I was curious where this would take me.

Suddenly I was spit out into outer space. I was going so fast. I was passing by stars and planets. Finally I decided that I was solidly enough in the dream that I could try to control it a little. I decided to try to slow down when I passed the next planet. Not a chance. I quickly passed it by. I tried again. I was still going too fast. Finally I saw a planet that looked just like Earth. I forced myself to slow and aim right at the planet. And I was able to drop down to the ground.

The dream was so long (it felt like well over an hour). I remember several things that I did, but I'm not entirely sure of the order, so I will put them together the best I can.

At some point I was at my grandparents' house. this house shows up in so many dream of mine. I think I went semi lucid at this point. I was cleaning it up and found all this really old food, like M&Ms and was eating them. I remember thinking "these are the old colors. Maybe I should save them." I also remember old cheese and wondered how safe it was to eat.

Then I was in a large store. I had a crowd gathered around me. I had remembered that I wanted to create my halo (from Poet Anderson). I had done this in a previous dream, but decided to do it again. I guess I was going to show off to the crowd what I could do. I held up my hand and willed a halo to appear. Slowly I could see a golden tan line start to form. It swirled around forming a ball. I was proud of myself for being able to do this so easily, that I wanted to make it even more impressive. So I made it grow bigger and bigger. Soon it had a diameter of a couple feet.

Then It suddenly got solid and fell to the floor with a thud. I felt a little embarrassed since the crowd was still watching me. I decided to be dramatic and dive into my halo and disappear. I did so and was nearly successful. But I realized that all of me went inside the halo but my feet. So much for impressing the dream characters. I climbed back out of the halo and picked it back up, and flew away.

I remember another part of the dream where I was flying a plane. I was alone and realized that I didn't know how to fly a plane. But I told myself that since I was dreaming hat I could control it with my mind. I didn't have to know what the buttons and levers did. I did a fairly good job flying it, but my control was always a little delayed. I felt like I was going to crash into things but would barely miss at the last minute.

Then I was flying (without a plane) around a nice neighborhood in the snow. I noticed how each house had a really nice porch. I then flew to a mall. I passed a mirror and realized that I had no make-up on. I was a lady at a make up counter and asked if she could do my make-up. So I sat there as she put eyeliner and eye shadow on my eyes. The nit hit me that I was totally wasting my time. Why did I need make-up in my dream anyway. I looked in the mirror again and saw that the make up was very minimal. I shouldn't have bothered.

And that's all I remember. Perhaps more will come to me throughout the day.

      Competition night #13

Flying outside some sort of clubhouse, can't remember much else. I flew high then went down fast trying to make it feel like I was on a rollercoaster. I went down past a tree, saw a gap between buildings then up again - I repeated it twice

    6. Nuclear blasts, a floating city, and I successfully overcame a false awakening

by , 04-23-2016 at 04:18 PM (The Erratic dreams of StaySharp)
I was in a house, it likely seemed like one of my earlier homes, the house my family used to own. There was someone else with me but I don't know who it was. I looked out of the window, and the scenery was a lot different, I saw mountains and plenty of green out there.
The sun was about to rise and we saw it, but we also saw light of... nuclear explosions, 3 or 4 in total.
(I think it was around here where I got lucid but oddly enough I'm not sure, maybe I already was lucid)
I pointed out the explosions to my companion, expecting some sort of shockwave to hit us, but it never did.
After that a scene in some kind of floating city came, there were many fragments floating around, some with buildings and/or plants. For the life of me I can't remember the transition from the house to that city, even though I think it was only 1 or 2 minutes in the dream. This floating city had mostly dark gray elements and some orange, and I know that orange was the most prominent color all around us, partially from the sunrise, maybe partially from the blasts. It looked a bit medieval and fantasy-like, probably inspired by some game. I moved upwards with strong jumps, like in a platformer. On a slightly larger island, where 2 or so buildings and some plants were, there was a group of people in dark clothes. I went to them and talked about something, I don't remember everything. What I do remember is that I explained the game Sonic Riders to them, and how I would love to have a pair of those floating shoes and how I liked the idea of them more than hoverboards.

Then everything went black and I felt the dream fading, and as usual I struggled against it. It seems I was out of the dream for a short moment but this time I managed to hold on to my consciousness without completely waking up. I'm pretty sure this would've become a FA if I hadn't manage to hold on to my consciousness by a thread.
After some time of focusing and struggling I saw light, and quickly noticed that it was kind of like the light you'd see coming from under and around a door when it's bright outside and you're in a dark room. I reached for the door and opened it, just to see the same thing again. Then another door, and another one. Then, after I think I opened 4 or 5 doors I actually got outside and had full visual input from the dream again. It was cloudy but bright outside, and I was in some kind of village with broad streets and little to nothing happening. I tried to fly, but was only able to float. The last thing I did was changing the sky into a clear night scenery with tons of stars, which looked and felt beautiful, but alas then I woke up for real.
    7. Eight Dreams

      by , 04-21-2016 at 08:44 PM
I had a bunch of dreams last night. The most I have remembered in a while. I think it really helps that I told myself the night before that I needed to remember them so I could write them in my Dream Journal. None of them were particularly long or vivid. But I'm glad I remembered what I did.

      Dream 1:

I was in my old childhood neighborhood. I saw a nearby house (one East of the school) had burned down. Then as I watched I saw a big truck some barreling down the street and smash in to the house next to it. It was quite shocking I hoped the people inside were okay since the truck took about a third of the house down.

Later I am in the house next to the two that had been destroyed. I am with a former roommate Bonna and a few freinds. I told them I had a really bad feeling about staying in this house. I was sure that this house was next to be destroyed. I finally convinced them to evacuate. It was then like a treehouse because we were climbing down a ladder. I'm pretty sure that I noticed a fire in the house as soon as were were down.

[This was inspired because I had looked up my old neighborhood on Google maps before bed.]

      Dream 2:

I was walking down the street in a neighborhood near the church I went to growing up in LA. I suddenly realized that I could fly. I don't think I was lucid, yet some of my actions were similar to things I do while lucid. I flew slowly straight up in the air. I started to have trouble getting very high. I knew my trick for flying was to not push myself higher, but to make the scenery move around me. So I focused on the scenery getting lower and lower around me, and I saw that I was getting quite high. But then I found myself under some power lines. I've heard that this is a problem for some lucid dreamers, but I've only had this happen once before. I realized that I was very close to the energized lines. I could hear a buzz and feel my hair start to stand up on my head and arms.

[This was also inspired because I had looked up my old neighborhood on Google maps before bed.]

      Dream 3:

I don't remember how this dream started but I found myself in a large room. I had no pants on. I think I was doing laundry. But then these guys started coming into the room to play video games. I think Kasey, Daniel, and David were there. I tried to get my pants on quickly before they noticed. I should have gotten lucid on this one.

      Dream 4:

I was in a Japanese store buying what was called "noodles" but it looked more like a crumbly cake. The Japanese man who ran the store asked if I were traveling. I said, No, I was local.

      Dream 5:

I went in this large kitchen. I was barefooted. I noticed something on the ground right in front of the fridge. As I looked closer I saw that someone had stepped on a tarantula. Its body had been squished, but it was still alive and trying to walk and pull it's mangled body with it. it was a horrible sight. There was a huge amount of white paste-like guts coming out the back of the spider. I wanted to kill it and put it out of its misery, but I had no shoes on and couldn't step on it. But I didn't know if I could have anyway.

[This was inspired by an incident that happened earlier that day where I found a big black widow and tried to kill it with a shovel. I only hit it's body the first time and had to give it a second whack. Hate when that happens.]

      Dream 6:

I was trying to sleep. I realized that my bed was in a crowded mall or airport. I was in a smaller room that was just off the main area, but the head of my bed was right were the opening of the room connected. It gave me a weird feeling to have all these strangers walking within a few feet of my head. I thought of trying to move my bed further into the room so I wouldn't be as close. But then I started hearing what I thought was hypnagogic audio hallucinations. I could hear a man's voice clearly talking in my head. I remembered the times that I had been able to write down some of those weird things that were said in hallucinations in the past. I wanted to start writing down what I was hearing. I carefully found a pencil and paper without waking myself up completely. I started to write down what the man was still saying in my head. I no longer remember what was being said.

      Dream 7:

I was starting a hike with friends. I realized that I wasn't as prepared as I thought. I didn't have on my hiking boots. I had on sandals with a pair of socks. I tried to remember where we were hiking. This could work if we were hiking through water.

      Dream 8:

I was sitting with my family. My dad (who passed away many years ago) was there talking to the family. I remember feeling happy about this, but at the time I didn't realize why.
    8. Garbage Pickers and Snowscape (DILD)

      by , 04-17-2016 at 10:54 PM
Ritual: I've had a bit of a dry spell lately, and even worse than the lack of lucid dreams has been the sensation of diminished overall awareness: my sleep lately has been distressingly ordinary. I'm still waking up frequently during the night, but now I can't even tell what time it is—usually I can guess accurately within ten minutes or so. When sleeping properly I always wake up a few minutes before my alarm, no matter what time I set it for, but lately the alarm has been waking me. I've been having an ordinary number of dreams, but they too are lacking even in rudimentary awareness. In the past, stressful periods at work have boosted my LDing, but I feel like maybe I'm getting a bit burnt out, so I've started using sleep as a form of escapism, instead of an opportunity for more interesting kinds of work. I've become a lazy sleeper!

Probably because of this lack of awareness, this time even when I started wondering if I was really dreaming, I continued to find the environment and events extremely persuasive and followed the plotline to its end. Only then did I take the time to deliberately RC. The only aspect of this that isn't disappointing is the fact that, once having noted I might be dreaming, I did manage to hold that thought and then come back to it, instead of just forgetting. I also felt as though my rational mind was functioning well in the way it recognized the dream sign, something that hasn't always been reliable.

The dream plot was based on waking life residue. Last night (in WL) around 1:30am we heard the sound of someone going through our trash bins outside the house, even though the bins are through a gate which, although it has no lock, clearly demonstrates a property boundary. Unfortunately there is no window through which to observe that area, and by the time I went out with a flashlight the person was gone.

The same thing happened in the dream, except that the person had left behind bags of newspapers, and I was worried they might contain criminal evidence. I wasn't sure if I should call the police, as I had already moved some of the bags, so my prints were now on them too. There were many more minor details and events that would only be tedious to record here, so I'll skip them.

Later the garbage-pickers come back, and I realize I can see them if I get the right angle through a window (not true in RL). I want to take pictures for evidence, but I have trouble pulling up the camera on my phone, normally a very simple operation. Even when I do get the camera working, it is too zoomed in and I can't frame the shot properly. I recognize these technical difficulties as dream signs, but at the moment I'm too caught up in events to RC.

The garbage-pickers leave before I can get a good shot, so I go around the front of the house for another try. The camera is still giving me trouble, and once again I notice how much it resembles a dream sign, even though this doesn't feel like a dream. After a few more minor incidents that plotline wraps up, and I now realize that I can give my full attention to checking whether or not I am dreaming. Everything has felt very real and convincing, but I know well how little that sensation can be trusted.

I jump... inconclusive. I came down quickly enough, but the jumping itself felt easier than I think it should, as though I am not lifting my full body weight. I jump a couple more times, trying to draw out the moment at the apex. It might actually be lengthening as I focus on it. My suspicion grows, I jump a bit more, and then sure enough, I find that I can pause at the top, hovering in the air. That clinches it. It was a dream all along.

What now? It's been so long since I've been lucid that I just want to explore and enjoy the environment. I look out the glass wall of the living room and see an expanse of snowy fields and pine forest stretching to a distant low mountain, utterly unlike the RL scenery. I feel satisfied with this prospect, so I fly through the glass without hesitation and start soaring over the landscape, looking down and enjoying the clarity of visual detail. I'm reminded of a recent conversation with a WL friend who also turned out to be an LDer, who mentioned that he prefers not to do tasks but would rather just fly around and enjoy the environment. Today that feels just fine.

I fly to the top of the mountain and land, hoping to explore on foot. There is a problem with scale, however: I am huge in relation to the mountain. My feet cover its entire upper surface. I take off into the air again, hoping I didn't crush too many trees and little creatures. The distorted scale now makes everything feel artificial, and the dream destabilizes. I exert will to remain in the dream state as it deconstructs, and for a moment I find myself flying through a black boundless space marked with thin white lines running horizontally and vertically in three dimensions. It strongly resembles the conception of virtual space in the movie Tron. I recognize that this is unconstructed dream space, and try not to let it disconcert me that the dream has faded, and I feel very close to being awake... I remind myself that if I should be able to enter a new scene if I can just be patient and maybe suggest something.

I'm trying to stay relaxed, so I imagine lying in a bath of warm water. This makes me realize that my flying feels like swimming so I use the idea. I am swimming underwater in a pool of water that is no different from my body temperature—that's why I don't feel it. And of course I can breathe underwater, because why not? These thoughts in mind, I now think I can see the glimmering underside of the water's surface just above my head, so I fly up and break it, preparing to find myself in a new scene. I notice how seamlessly my breathing remains the same as I transition from breathing water to air, and again this feels too artificial for my liking, but I try not to let it disrupt the dream.

I am in an empty tiled space containing a pool. The lining of the pool is made of identical square beige tiles as the walkway around it and the low walls bounding the space. It appears to be outdoor because the walls don't go up all the way, but there is no impression of any surrounding environment, much less sky or weather. It is still very vague and plain and artificial; perhaps it could be described as "semi-constructed dream space." I look around for something notable, perhaps a DC, and I begin to hear music. It is a simple melody on a plucked string instrument, like a medieval lute. I don't see anyone else, but vision isn't perfect now, so I keep listening and looking. The song ends, and a woman's voice says, "Thanks, I really enjoyed this one song." There is a kind of parenthetical remark appended to the sentence in the same voice that I perceive simultaneously, though I don't seem to "hear" it as literally as the words just spoken. The parenthetical remark is: "...after a moment's reflection." In ordinary text one could write it as:

"Thanks, I really enjoyed this one song (after a moment's reflection)."

But that wouldn't quite convey the effect that the parenthetical part was not spoken aloud, and that it had a kind of simultaneity with the statement itself.

Feeling confident that I will momentary see the singer, I keep looking around... and feel paws on my face, my real face. The cat has chosen just this moment to come back to bed, waking me. Damn!
    9. 2 dreams in one lucidity achieved with flight

Stopped smoking weed, drinking alcohol, and drinking coffee for 3 days
Took Galantamine, Meletonin, and Lucid Dreaming supplement
Slept in many stages waking periodically
      Achieved vivid lucidity
      Many dreams recollected

Massive Boulder Island With Wild Animal Inhabitants
( Rock, Boulder, Water, Flying, Pterodactyl, Climbing, Alligator, Chimpanzees, Brother)
I dreamt of this massive boulder rock surrounded by water. I was there with my brother. We tricked these blue flying creatures into flying into each other. They had a routine of all flying at once off the edge and we had another group flying up the other side at the same time. They all attacked each other and died. We had hoped at least one would survive but no one did. Ben wondered how we were going to get down because it was so high up and the water was to shallow. I found a spot to climb down and drop 6 feet or so into the shallow water. Ben was swimming and from above I could see a reptilian looking creature swimming near him. He said it was an alligator gar. I yelled for him to get out of the water. But he swam the other way where there was no spot to climb up. I jumped in and it bit on to me. I started to wrestle it. ~REALITY CHECK (abrupt scene change)~
The scene skipped to inside a cave within the rock and I was strangling the creature except now it looked like an anaconda and there was commentary saying something about the tables being turned. Inside the rock were these feline creatures that looked like they were either dead or sleeping. It almost looked like a display from a museum. I saw one of their arms twitch and I got a little nervous because I felt no match for catlike reflexes. I went outside and there were these chimpanzees wearing sweaters. One was green with the #12 on it. Outside I was balancing on this hanging vine outside on my feet and I jumped to another one. The chimps were amazed and wanted to see me do it again. I thought it was weird that I would be teaching the chimps there own techniques.

Deep Breathing Induced Flight High Above the Earth
(Parents House, Night, Raining, Naked, Flying, Falling)
      <<LUCIDITY ACHIEVED >>>

I was in my old house. It was raining and dark out and I was naked. Some how I had an inkling that I was dreaming. I think it was because I had this floating feeling and I didn't remember getting there. I went outside through the front glass door into the rain and tried to fly. I began to float upwards but I leveled out a bit. I realized I wasn't breathing enough so I took a deep breath and raised higher into the air. It seemed that the deeper I inhaled, the higher up I went. I kept rising higher and higher until I was in the upper atmosphere. I remember vividly, looking down toward the Earth, weightlessly floating, admiring how vast of a distance there was between me and the massive planet below. Later I decided that I wanted to see what it would feel like to fall all the way down so I stopped trying to hover and began to plummet toward the Earth. The texture of the Earth became continuously clearer and cleared as I came closer and closer to the ground. But lucidity faded before I hit the ground.
    10. I had my first lucid dream last night!

      by , 04-11-2016 at 01:08 PM
My dream started with me walking in my school which made absolutely no sense because today's an inset day so school's off which made me question whether I was dreaming or not, this led me to trying a reality so I plugged my nose and to my surprise I could breathe right through it! The first thing I tried to do (this isn't very original ) is trying to fly, so I opened a window in the hallway I was in, made a run for it and leaped and suddenly I was soaring through the sky! it felt so real and incredible with the wind in my face and the sites from above but unfortunately, I got a bit too excited and woke up from the dream.

Yes!!!! 1.30am and just had my first EVER proper lucid dream, it was amazing

Too excited to go back to bed, so this is a sort of WBTB.

Did a good WILD before sleep. Lots of movement but couldn't fall asleep.

      1) I was behind a schoolboy waiting to use a cash machine. It was my turn I was messing about and the woman behind was being impatient. Then I was in a garden it was dark, I put my right foot into a ditch but it was a pond, I was wearing slippers they were then very wet. I went up a set of steps (more sort of floated) and was looking at a computer screen, the pointer had a really bright dot of light on it I looked away it was so bright and looked behind myself to see if it was a laser beam causing the bright light. Then I walked backwards I think I felt like I was flying so I immediately thought that I must be dreaming. I looked at my hands but they looked normal, I checked again, still normal, I thought what the hell I know I'm dreaming!! I flew into an open room and pushed a window open to go outside then thought why didn't I just fly through it? I was slightly worried remembering that sometimes people can't fly when they first get lucid and wondered if I might fall to the ground but felt confident. I felt like I was flying in a vertical position so went horizontal. I flew out of the window and out into a dark night. I could hear an old friend calling me in some woodland a way off so flew that way. I could feel cold air blowing past my face it was so realistic! I started to wonder how long it would last for and could feel myself breathign so I rubbed my hands together, then tried to spin. It was working but by now I was thinking that I was bound to wake up. I spun around again then I was stood by a BBQ in a garden. The lucidity was very poor and I knew I was starting to wake up and gave into it, in fact I was so amazed by this point that I wanted to wake up to write about it.

      Added in morning:

      2) In a vegetable garden of some sort. I was looking at a dense hedge of some sort of fruit plants. Some parts were covered in black plastic. I noticed that there was a blueberry bush growing at the back, as I pulled the black cover off some of it I could see the flowers opening as the sun hit it. I walked off down a path.

      3) I took my car keys into a shop and hid them behind something on a shelf, can't remember why, I told the shop keeper what I was doing he seemed ok with it. Then I was on my motorbike, I was in Japan, the road was a about 20 lanes wide and I had to get into another lane, I think I was travelling into the city. I was with someone else on a motorbike, it was a woman. We got in the wrong lane. It all went slow for a moment she was explaining to me where each lane went to. Two of the lanes led to big metla structures I think they were cablecars, the one we went into I knew was arong. We got to the end of it and there was a boat. We stopped and looked the boat and there were lots of naked people stood on it. The woman drove away very fast and I said something like 'it might be fun!' then got on my bike and followed her.

    12. Flying fragment

by , 04-07-2016 at 04:53 AM (My Robotic imagination)
I'm over at a childhood place at Crestveiw and I'm in a living room. It is daytime outside and I'm flying around. I'm in from of a Megazord box or something that I like on TV showing it to them. I then feel heavy and descend to the ground and land. Frustrated I punched the carpeted floor and then realized that in a dream this could be someone and quickly said sorry to the floor. lol. It was an olive green carpet and next to me was something black that looked like old gum. I stood up and tried to fly again but to no avail.

    13. Moon Puppies

      by , 04-03-2016 at 03:13 AM
I had a false awakening, I knew I was dreaming because I heard voices from a TV/radio. It was very hard for me to get out of my bed, my body was moving very slow. I kept focusing and once I got out, I walked out my room towards the front door. I counted my fingers on my right hand and their were 6 of them. I went outside and started flying to the right. I then was flying up, and I could actually see myself as I was jumping up, I wasn't wearing a shirt.

Next thing I know, I fall down and I'm on the surface of the moon. I started to fly around, I saw some building, they looked like they were made from moon rock. I landed and wanted to go inside one. Then a bunch of moon puppies started chasing me. They were all blue and looked liked skeleton dogs. They reminded me of skinny ryhorns, from Pokemon.
    14. Thanks for the tip✨

Dild after wbtb wild attempt 🌺
Went to bed around 9 pm and listened to WB audio book
      100b6
Had some dreams to record around 2am and lay saying mantras for a while feeling refreshed and awake ...till about 3 - then sat up saying mantras etc in proper wbtb till about 4am.

Lay back down for wild with fan and earplugs and seriously supportive cushy bed I usually set up for wild attempts ✨

Was in a dream where some wise ladies were helping me with an extremely painful lower abdomen...it was very painful and they were caring for me in a very comfortable place. They said they needed to perform an operation on me that had potentials to be dangerous and needed to be very exact with the surgery - They were going to have to knock very hard onto my abdomen at some point and then pull down that which did not need to be there any longer out through my vagina. I am terrified and ask for painkillers and rescue remedy. As far as I can remember I am getting ready for this operation ✨

Later I find myself lucid in my dream - I am speaking with a girl who is encouraging me - ' I am lucid so I know I am dreaming!✨'
' Yes you are' she says
' How can I get better at lucid dreaming? Can you help me?' I ask her
'You get better by having more Lucid dreams - it's the only way - through experience' she replies
      'Right - ' I say
' We heard you can fly right? So go and fly!' She encourages me kindly
' Yes I can - ok then I am going to go fly! 🌠' I am exited by her and the kind words she offers me...I feel she knows me well...
' OK bye then' I wave to her and gently put my hands then body very easily and fluidly through the walls that make up the room around us - it's an effortless move of my body throughout the wall, as if my body and the wall are made of the same pure light. I look at my body and at the wall for a few moments and see clearly we are made of the same ' partially invisible light ..,' - nice✨
I move into the sky with a sweeping motion, gently flying not too high but up enough to get a feeling of the vast surrounding land. It's beautiful to fly again ...The light is bright and I feel very at home in the dream ... As I think this I have to be careful as my WL body becomes evident and the bright light comes in - ...I persevere and am steady again with my Lucidity ...

I am suddenly beginning to fly back wards and feel I want to fly forwards towards the most beautiful sight that has just appeared in my view... I don't struggle too much but 'know' I will fly directly towards this magical looking place. And so soon I do - I have never seen anything like it but have heard of Lucid dreamers going to such like magical, heavenly beautiful lands! Wow - is this my opening to such a place 🌅 I can't help but think the girl who told me to fly knew I would see this amazing sight if I got myself up into the sky in fight, I feel very fortunate! The Heavenly Place looks like something from another world - nothing on earth like this - it's Amber and yelled hue's shine out showing a spectacular opening in the bright light that surrounds these twinkling gates. I so very much want to experience this place but as I fly towards it I feel my WL body ... I soon wake into the dream of my WL reality and lie in bed for a short time remembering the spacious feeling, sights I have just uncovered - it's time to get up

🌺I am now determined to go to this place again ....soon 🌺

#9 LD - Low quality vision
As always my room. I was laying on my bed with my bf. I was looking at the wall and thought that I shouldn't be there (I wasn't at home in RL then). I did RC and get lucid. It was dark. I tried to make some light by commands but I only had some strange quality vision. Sth like that: [KLIK]. I didn't write it down but I think that I saw also some disco colours and I said that I didn't mean this kind of light. I wasn't calm much. I went to the shelf and took a red figure. I touched some towel. I went to my mom's room and tried to fly through the window. I heard an alarm but I knew that it's still a dream. I saw on the phone that it's 2:10AM. I flew away and on purpose I was falling down spinning. I thought that it was a bad idea. It started to be dark and my dream changed to NLD. Some bird or 2 were falling down on the hill.
